Summary:

Tommy has a pet rock.

He doesn't remember when he started having one, but he doesn't remember a lot of things so it didn't really bother him.

All that mattered was that Tommy loved the rock, and the rock loved him back. The rock was always there for him.

A doodle for my possible future fic!

After the finale Tommy, who is a shapeshifter, got yoinked by Death herself and yeeted into an alternate dimension.

He then proceeded to get accidentally adopted by the alternate version of his bedrock bro that is as stunted emotionally (/affectionate) as the real deal.

Chaos ensues, ft. cat!Tommy

Hybrid AU in exile arc where avian instincts can take over to a degree that is almost horrific, erasing someone’s personality and rationality when they’re panicking. 

During exile week, Tommy’s abuser takes advantage of the fact, acting nice and doing traditional avian parental behaviors like cooing or wing grooming. They’re way too intimate and make Tommy uncomfortable but as time goes on and he’s starving for affection (and doesn’t want to get punished) Tommy doesn’t resist like he used to. It’s relaxing, or is until the fingers combing through his feathers stop and he remembers to shudder.

During one grooming session, his abuser asks to keep some of his feathers to wear. In avian culture that’s a very intimate familial practice, a mixture between a claim to signify a close bond as well as a promise to carry the person as safely as their own two wings. Tommy’s gut rolls at the thought of his abuser wearing his feathers, and he can’t tell if it’s excitement or dread. But he’s learned not to say no by then, and tries not to flinch as his long pretty primaries are cut. 

An impulsive little stab of happiness shoots through his chest every time he sees his feathers fanning out of his abuser’s mask. He automatically feels a little safer when he sees the feathers, which the rest of Tommy is kind of freaked about. He’s starting to lose his grip on what’s him and what’s his instincts, even if his abuser keeps assuring him to trust his gut since listening to his stupid ideas is what got him in this mess in the first place. The negging is still happening of course, Tommy being weak and too fragile and useless to be able to fly. A chick like him isn’t safe on his own. Tommy doesn’t leave because something inside him is terrified of abandoning the ‘nest’ even though his real home is in L’Manburg.

After putting his stuff in a pit, Tommy accidentally stands too close. The blast catches him. Not the first time, one caught him a day or two ago and he rounded upon his abuser, cursing him out rather stupidly. But now Tommy drops to the ground, feathers fluffed up and pupils dilated as he freezes on the spot. The only movement he can manage is to reach for the man who hurt him in the first place. His distressed chirping noises are only capable of ceasing once he’s in his abuser’s arms. Or rather, his guardian’s embrace. Afterward, Tommy follows him everywhere, until he’s scolded at the nether portal, forced to wait until he comes back. It’s hours before Tommy realizes what he’s doing. The separation is agonizing.

He’s finally imprinted. Took the brat long enough. But Tommy is finally, finally in the palm of his hand, instincts ensnared in a chokehold.

Concept: tommyinnit in Gotham like those Peter in Gotham fics (specifically C!Tommy)

Just think about it. First off, the way C!Tommy is written in fics is rly similar to Andrew Garfield’s spiderman if he was aloud to cuss a lot and be British. So already we know the dynamic would work.

Plus, if you go with C!Tommy and not content creator Tommyinnit, then this is someone who knows nothing about the modern world. In Peter in Gotham fics his culture shock is the diff between hero society mostly, and Danny is usually still in the same universe he just moves towns, but Tommy?

Bro doesn’t know what a vigilante is. He knows what a hero is, but would he know about vigilantes? He’s never lived in a world where that was a possibility, so he’s probably never heard the word before, so the bats are just a new concept to him entirely.

And that’s not even touching him learning about modern technology. The technology in the dsmp is so fucked, there’s nukes, but they still use bows and arrows? Plus, their comms are the closest thing to a phone he’s ever seen.

I’m just picturing him entering the library like Peter does at the beginning of every fic, but instead of hacking a computer and high tailing it out of there he lingers, because he has no idea what he’s doing. He just nearly got ran over by a car, but he doesn’t know what a car is, so it seems like a good starting point. He avoids the computers bc “wtf r those block things?” And ask Barbara where “the redstone section is”. (Tommy assumes anything tech is redstone powered) and Barbara is confused bc redstone is a fictional made up thing by Minecraft. And thru this failed interaction Tommy is directed towards the computers, and fails to use one properly for the next hr. Barbara watches in shock, and immediately messages the GC about a “potential clone/alien/escaped lab rat situation”.

He doesn’t think to get a form of ID bc he’s never needed one, or get a job. Everyone always built their own places and lived there in Minecraft. So taxes and economy and working for money is something new he’s learning.

Also his unique trauma just giving the bats a headache, like what do you mean you fought in a national war at 9??? You gen believed ur brother was gonna make u president at 14, then he blew up said nation in front of you??? Tf is a HYBRID? Tim also fucking loosing it at their cracked technology in the SMP.

If someone were to do this my one ask is you add Tommy being scared of ppl with masks on. It makes him tense when he can’t look at someone’s facial expressions to see if they’re mad (thank you c!dream). So red hood’s helmet, and Batman’s clow just fucks with him. At least hood has a domino mask underneath that makes Tommy feel better (not great, but better) but Batman will forever be untrusted until way later in the fic.

Tommy: I don’t have a good track record with brothers, or family in general.

Literally any of the batkids: neither do I.

The fact that a lore stream for my silly little Minecraft RP hyper fixation from 2021 came back to bite me in the ass.

He’s getting there.

It shows to me that you can go through literal hell and back and still have a good life, it’s not the best life, but it’s good.

Because he’s getting to that point where he can be happy again. He has his sheep, his home. No big bad coming to take it away from him.

Nothing will bother him anymore.

He can finally have the time, to look forward to being happy again.

C!Tommy is a character I cherished with all my heart, seeing him finally, FINALLY get that home, to be safe is one of the most rewarding things i will see as a payoff for a character.

In my earliest fics I characterized Tommy as stubbornly unwilling to ask for help and looking back at those fics now I was thinking Where did I get that from?? Tommy asks for help! Despite all his talking himself up as the strongest man ever and all that, one thing he did regularly was desperately reach out to people for support (Technoblade, Ranboo, Tubbo, Puffy, Sam Nook, Sam, Philza, etc!) And then I remembered where I started writing c!Tommy was early-middle of the exile arc, where Tommy refused help at every turn and by the time he realized he needed help it was too late for him to get any. Sam offered, Bad offered, Ranboo showed up on occasion, and Tommy refused them all. He didn’t learn to ask for help until later when he got scared and desperate enough.

Technoblade was a warrior. This, of course, meant different things to different people. Some viewed him as practically untouchable; the Blood God himself, one to avoid trifling with, and if you had earned his attention then you had better hope that he wouldn’t be the one to answer your final prayers. Others believed him to merely be a patron of the Blood God, someone who was more of a vehicle to draw the blood rather than the god demanding the blood himself. Still others saw him as no more than a gifted man, as mortal as the rest and plenty defeatable, though clearly touched by some blessing or god to have the gifts he possessed.

Alternatively: In which Technoblade, an immortal child of the Angel of Death, has to cope with watching his twin die as a man and return for an encore every time. What happens when both twins have the gift of existing forever, but only one is truly immortal? Techno never did get used to the shock of seeing that smile on another face.
