just got the sudden hit of realization that jschlatt technically fits under l'manberg's whole "no violence" principle, even if he technically did a lot of violent things as president. like i know the theme of cyclical violence was just about to get there but i can't help but notice that schlatt does not fit under the "villains who succeeded in the dsmp via physical power" because he isn't good at minecraft.

and i mean that like. in an unfunny-funny way. because it was established by quackity that the violent power that exists in the dsmp goes hand in hand with how good the cc behind the character is at mc, which is why quackity had an entire plotline centered on gambling. how skilled a cc is at minecraft does change what a character is capable of, and explains why techno and dream were those most feared in the dsmp.

so like. with schlatt. like let's be honest, nothing was literally keeping him from being president. gotta rewatch how tommy and wilbur were exiled just so i can double check everything but like. i think it's fascinating to realize that wilbur was somewhat mistaken when he believed l'manberg's core values were completely overridden, because it wasn't. schlatt didn't really gain power by being physically threatening. in fact i'd say he and wilbur are similar wherein their characters are threatening because of their manipulative charm.

Ok, I recently wrote an essay [here] talking about the definition and duties of civil engineering as well as the ethics because of the brain rot @swordfright gave me with calling Dream Sam’s ultimate engineering project. So, because I actually am a civil engineer I took it upon myself to design the title and summary of quantities sheets just like I do at work for roads but with Dream as the project instead. And in honor of angst day sponsored by @sixteenth-day-event, I figured I’d share it because I feel like it kinda works for the prison of the mind prompt.

“Sam’s “ultimate engineering project” he deemed too damaged like a bumpy road or crumbling building that wasn’t worthy of patching and filling in the cracks or reinforcing, that’s too eroded to be fixed and preserved. So, Sam strived to tear him down to the bedrock so he could remake, remold, and reengineer Dream according to his design for the common safety, public health and well-fair.”

{These are very similar to the actual sheets I make day to day, which I shall not share for the sake of doxing my location, but yea pretty much everything has a significance. Some of it doesn’t necessarily make sense but that was because I was more so taking inventory of what we see in lore (so you know I counted ;) lol)}

Thinking about how Dream was barely allowed to say anything in the prison and was frequently ignored and dismissed by Sam. From the start already, Sam interrogates visitors on whether Dream said anything to them. After Tommy's revival and after being starved for almost two weeks, Dream asks Sam for potatoes and gets no reply. Dream calls for Sam when Quackity is about to torture him, and Sam ignores him. After finding Tommy invisible in the cell, Sam orders Dream to be quiet and how he "doesn't want to hear anything from [him]" when Dream dares to call for Sam just once. Following Techno's escape, Dream asks Sam if he can go to the courtyard, leading to Sam going on a victim-blaming rant and Dream falling completely silent. Sam then orders Dream not to ask to go to the courtyard, and Dream only answers "alright" after a long silence and doesn't speak for the rest of the stream. Dream has to answer questions but he isn't allowed to ask for anything, ever. And if he does, Sam interprets it in the worst way and twists his words until Dream gives up and just stays quiet entirely.

Well, we know from canon that even being in close proximity to the egg without protective iron hazmat suits can cause a person to hear voices, become aggressive towards others, delirium, and immediately become protective and affectionate towards the egg. Puffy herself is not immune as she was, back before the Eggpire was established, infected. She only turned against it after a combination of strong negative emotions towards Bad, and not being physically with the egg as much. I don't think there was any concrete answer as to the mechanism of infection, but it's heavily implied that some amount of time away from the egg causes its influence to naturally fade, and within a matter of days if we estimate the time between the red banquet being interrupted, and all former members of the Eggpire who were not otherwise killed (c!Ant, and c!Bad by Skeppy as revealed by the finale) as losing a life is another way to break infection, as seen when Skeppy respawns after the fight with Bad, no longer red. You can also clearly be immune to the egg's negative effects like Tommy, or you can resist the egg, as shown by the fact that Sam remained uninfected during his imprisonment in it's chambers. I'm not sure if those two are actually special cases, but as Sam is the character who spent the longest trapped with the egg who never turned red, I'm going to say it's just a matter of luck. Hannah was kidnapped twice, and while the first time left her disoriented and suggestible to being rekidnapped, the second made her secretly join the Eggpire itself. So I think the amount of time it takes to become fully infected is dependent on things such as prior emotional state, history with the egg, health, etc) And that is to say I think the answer is pretty obvious. Skeppy pushed Puffy into the egg as a part of his deal with it (Although I'm pretty sure he wasn't egged when he did that to Puffy?) And she was not immune to the egg, and was very quickly either immediately killed and puppetted, or... just was stuck there while slowly being taken over, and eventually being used as the voice of the egg itself, literally.

people have said a lot of funny things to me while trying to critique my spreadsheet of notes. but none of them have come close to matching the freak of this. the claim that supernatural season 1 episode 7 "hookman" frames sam as a damsel in distress.

Now, again not sure if anyone else has posted about this yet, but one of the first things I noticed when originally snooping around for Dream’s house (and Quackity’s torture supply room full of chests), were random buried chests hidden about the main server area (likely to keep people from stealing I assume) most aren’t full of anything too interesting some have the building materials for a nearby build, some are empty, and some just have junk. However, there are three hidden chests buried right by Dream’s old secret base that are filled with interesting goodies.

In the large one marked in green is a pretty good set of nethrite gear, unnamed and some other odds and ends, including two image maps (I don’t have the plug in to view properly). I theorize that this might be a backup set Dream stashed away for emergencies or something. It would make sense, who knows how long ago though.

The other two chests highlighted in orange are located in this tiny red stone room, which I think might be for a secret door or something. In the small one is a hazmat suit, some contracts and other random books as well as SAMNOOKS’S IRON WILL, leading me to 1) ask the question: why are Sam’s weapons all extensions of his Will and 2) believe this must be where Sam stashes his stuff for switching between characters. Specifically, Samnook as it is conveniently placed under the Hotel.

This is further supported by the assortment of books in the large chest. Including the prison Questionnaire Dream signed, all 3 of the books Tommy signed in his visit to the prison (labeled Big T), and 2 WARDEN ACCESS cards plus a favor book for Badboyhalo.

Not gonna lie I thought the warden access at first confirmed this was Dream’s but the Samnook sword certainly says otherwise :(… still it’s interesting.

Sorry guys but the Adeuce duo can't keep a secret for shit 😭. They have good intentions I promise but their approach is questionable. You've sent them out to get more pads during one of your horrible cramps. Sam sells them to you so all they need to do is go there, get the right one and come back.

Nothing is easy with them though 😔. Currently, they're crouched on the floor in the store room having a whisper-shouting argument of what sized pads to buy you.

During their heated debate of what kind of pads to get for you, they don't hear their 3 seniors walking into the shop and have stopped an Isle away from the storage room behind them.

"I think Yuu wants the longer ones."

"nah, I think they'll fit the medium one better"

"what? What do you mean by that??"

"you know the..."

"the what???"

"don't make say it!"

After hearing the familiar voices as well as bits and pieces of their unusual conversation coming from the room, Cater opens the door.

"uh what are you guys doing?"

The Adeuce duo whip their heads back to see Cater with his hand still on the door knob, Trey with an eyebrow raised and Riddle having a suspicious look on his face with his arms crossed.

"Are you stealing?" Riddle asks with growing irritation.

The Adeuce duo freeze like deer caught in headlights, their hands still clutching two different-sized packs of pads like they were some kind of forbidden treasure(?).

Ace, ever the quick thinker (or so he thought), blurted out, "We’re not stealing! We’re just… uhh… conducting a very important research project!"

Deuce, even more panicked than Ace aggressively nods his head. "Yeah! For school!"

Riddle’s eyes narrowed to dangerous slits. "Science. For school." His voice was flat, dripping with disbelief.

Trey, ever the peacemaker (but also unable to resist the chaos), leaned in and squinted at the pads in their hands. "Ah, I see. A comparative analysis of absorbency levels?"

Cater, barely holding in his laughter, pulled out his phone. "This is so going on Magicam. ‘Heartslabyul’s Finest: Pad Investigators.’ #NotAllHeroesWearCapes #ButTheyDoBuyPads."

Ace turning bright red. "DON’T YOU DARE—"

Deuce, in a desperate attempt to salvage the situation, held up both boxes like a shield and went on a word vomit;

"Lookwe’rejusttryingtohelpYuu!Shesentustogetthesebecauseshe'sonherperiodandwedon’twannamessitup,andwhilewe'reonthetopic,Yuu'sagirlifyouhaven'tfigureditoutyet"

[Look we’re just trying to help Yuu! She sent us to get these because she's on her period and we don't wanna mess it up, and while we're on the topic, Yuu's a girl if you haven't figured it out yet]

A beat of silence.

Then Riddle sighed, pinching the bridge of his nose. "We'd be more surprised if more people didn't know Yuu was a girl with how loud you two idiots always are. We've known since months ago when we heard you guys talking in the corridor"

Trey chimes in bringing focus back to the matter at hand; "So instead of asking which one she needed, you decided to have a covert operation in the storage room?"

Ace cross' his arms defensively. "Well, it’s embarrassing! We didn’t wanna yell it across the store!"

Trey, now fully grinning, shook his head. "Well, it's much too late for that AND Yet here you two are, whisper-shouting about pad sizes loud enough for all of Sage’s Island to hear."

Cater wipes a tear from his eye while giggling. "ugh, I can’t. I just can’t. Yuu’s gonna die when they hear about this."

Deuce groaned, slamming his head into a shelf. "We’re never gonna live this down, are we?"

Riddle, after a long, suffering pause, finally uncrossed his arms. "Just get the overnight ones. And for goodness sake, next time, write it down."

As the seniors walked away (Cater already typing at lightning speed to fill you in on what's happened), Ace and Deuce stood there, defeated, holding the correct pads at last.

Ace: "…We’re never doing Yuu a favor again."**

Deuce: "Agreed..."

Meanwhile, you're back at Ramshackle, curled up in pain, wondering why it’s taking so long to get pads and if you should’ve just asked Grim to steal some instead.

The story starts when these 2 Knuckleheads are hanging out after class with you at the Ramshackle dorm and become curious of your belongings. While you're away, they're in your room opening drawers and looking at your things.

When they eventually get to your wardrobe, they're opening drawers haphazardly and looking at what minimal belongings you have, expecting to see normal guy clothes and hoping to find something to laugh at you about but the first thing they see is a bra. Both of them stop in their tracks and just stare at it speechless.

Deuce picks it up and stares at it while Ace's eyes grow wide and smacks it out of his hands, sending the bra flying. "Don't touch it dummy! don't you know what that is?!".

Unexpectedly, you enter the room at the exact moment your bra lands on the floor, right in front of you.

Ace immediately points at Deuce and shouts; "IT WAS DEUCE! HE'S THE PERVERT!". Deuce immediately gets red at that while shouting that he's not a pervert and then the 2 of them have started slapping and shoving each other, completely forgetting the precarious situation they were caught in.

Grim grabs your pants leg and stares from behind you. "Welp, looks like the cat's out of the bag."

this was based on a misreading of a different post so now im rating how lesbian dsmp characters are. no real criteria just going off of vibes from a lesbian. based vaguely on how lesbian they are and how much they might identify as lesbian

Do you ever think about how c!Sam admitted to liking it. Not in so many words, not directly — “No, you know what? You’re right, I’m not sorry. I’m not. If the- If the roles were reversed I would- I would do it now. I would- I would do it now. [in reference to c!Quackity’s role as torturer].” (Daedalus stream 1) and “Maybe next time it won’t be Quackity who comes into the cell. Maybe it will- Maybe it will be me!” (Right After Techno Escapes Prison)

He still tried to hide it - “That’s what you wanted to hear? You want the truth? You wanna be real to each other? Yeah. What’s real is… I… was looking forward to every time Quackity would come because I was excited that that was the time that he was to come in here and he would get the revive book from you and we could… kill you off for the last time and be done with this. That’s what I was excited for.” (Daedalus stream 1) the way he pauses is very telling like he realizes his mistake and quickly comes up with the reason for looking forward to c!Quackity’s visits, despite insisting on more than one more calm occasion that he’d let c!Dream live in the prison if he gave up the book. But in the heat of the moment, fired up by c!Dream, just like c!Quackity, c!Sam admits even if slightly, to his enjoyment him ‘looking forward to it.’

He never apologizes nor regrets at most he admits that he perhaps is not pure and good just as many people aren’t. He recognizes that what he did hurt others but that’s basically it. Just as c!Quackity knew he was hurting others. But neither regret it. Both stand behind their convictions and reasons: of c!Dream deserving it, of getting the revive book. Using those to justify the cruelty they enjoyed…

do you guys ever think about how c!quackity LIKED the torture. Like straight-up admitted to liking it. Fully with his whole chest embraced sadism. Doesn't regret it. Never recants any of this out loud. Never opens the door to the possibility that he was wrong.

HElllo hi i heard you were willing to ramble about egg lore? (<- knows nothing about egg lore but somehow ended up writing a fic about the egg and i need to pay for my sins)

Oh boy. Where do we fucking BEGIN! (This answer will be late and probably go on so many side tangents) Alright, so I'm just gonna recap the "smaller" events leading up to and surrounding the early part of the egg lore first. The Egg arc was so long I could probably make several long posts JUST for recapping the general events that happened in roughly chronological order as well as important tidbits to the egg lore. That's assuming either the ADHD spurred motivation fuel I'm running on while writing this doesn't dry up, or that I get the kind of motivation to write more posts this long from other asks like this. I'll also try to do more seperate posts on the more lore analysis-y side of the egg arc. So like how the egg's story was impacted on a more meta scale by the way the dsmp's story over all was being played out at the time by its' creators, the implications of its existance in both dsmp fanon and canon... IF I'm motivated to that is.

The Egg arc began when c!Badboyhalo found the "egg" in his statue room, which he was digging out to make way from the Dreamon Hunters (totally different lore plot, but that's for another niche dsmpblr blog) He soon showed it to c!Sam and c!Dream, and for context those two had been terraforming a part of the SMP close by the Badlands and therefore the statue room in order for Sam to complete the giant mega prison Dream had hired him to construct.

Bad was immediately drawn to the "egg" (which was called that because of it's shape and not because at that point it was confirmed the thing was an egg), where as both Dream and Sam were immediately weirded out by Bad's sudden affinity for it and the own bad vibes it gave off to both of them. Shortly after leaving the statue room, they spotted red vines growing by first by Hutt's Pizza - and then shortly after at Bad and Skeppy's mansion. This was extra concerning because they reasoned no player could have spread those growths up there on the surface, to those two different locations, in the time they were all down in the cave. This creeped Dream out enough he tried to manually remove the growth at the pizza place. This caused Bad to become agressive and he attacked Dream for 'hurting it', reasoning that the vines were beautiful. And it spread even more rapidly after that, with red vines being spotted growing around Jschlatt's grave, even on the Power Tower in L'manberg. Bad became even more attached to the egg and it's various offshoots, even nicknaming the egg "baby".

At this point most people on the server who interacted with the egg were, understandably were uncomfortable with the rapid spread of the vines and Bad's weird devotion to it. (Execptions to that being c!Puffy, c!Ponk and c!Antfrost who agreed with him) Bad and Ant eventually both started hearing voices from the egg, commanding them to spread the vines even further, while Puffy also started exhibiting the extreme fawning and obsession over the egg at that point. (She nicknamed it Eggy) Bad and Ant actively started spreading the vines; at c!Punz's tower and Sam's base. They also started urging other people to follow them back to where the Egg's main structure was, presumably in order to persuade more people over to becoming obsessed with said Egg. Sam tried putting a stop to this by trying to move the egg's structure physically, but he was stopped by Bad and Ant. The conflict was broken up when Punz came over, and remarked that he found the egg strange but "ultimately harmless." (Punz later elaborated that he was actually neutral on the egg and leaning towards viewing it as a potential threat, but to avoid direct conflict just wanted to see how everything would unfold. He also refused a proposal from Sam to fight Bad and Ant should the need arise.) Ponk was yet another case of someone initially opposing the egg but coming to view it favoriably. He had seemingly mixed opinions for a while, admiring the beauty of the vines but also being creeped out by the degree of devotion Bad, Ant and Puffy were showing to the egg over all. Ponk Eventually went to visit the Egg's main room and actually touched it. Like Bad and Ant, he reported hearing the egg make audible noises. Unlike Sam and Ant, he did not apperantly hear distinct words but rather "growling". Overtime, Ponk started referring to the egg as beautiful as well. Also he too began pushing for Sam to "join the egg" Leaving off here, with the next post (if it happens) being on the canonical timeline of events leading to most of the egg's followers disinfecting at that point, until probably the establishment of the proper eggpire. And then the red banquet of course gets it's own special post.

That's not a bad theory Anon. It's not easy to look someone in the eye on stage and try to masterfully pry and call out their bullshit. And Cait would certainly be feeling low key paranoid at these fan events. Not to worry though; she has that douche bag handler Steve who is more than ready to ring the narrative bell and save her.

On another note, and something that I found rather interesting, it was reported by Sgiandubh, who received her information from people on the ground, that Cait was very 'touchy feely' and a "hugger" during her interactions with fans. This analysis or characterisation was also shared by many other fans who attended the same event. Many have been gushing over how cuddly and tactile Caitriona is.

So someone please answer me this. If Caitriona McGill can give her fans (who are total strangers) warm and fuzzy hugs and cuddles in public and as much as 3 hugs each, which requires full body contact, then why the fuck does she look like this every single time she is with her supposed husband? 👇👇

Why is her body language configured in a way that is literally the antithesis to tactile and a "hugger"? Why does she look repulsed at the thought of touching him? And why is it that it's only around her supposed husband that she looks like she has a 10 foot pole rammed up her backside? Of course these are rhetorical questions.

She herself had said that "Sam is a great hugger" and "gives the best hugs." The girl clearly values a good hug. Tony couldn't give a fuck let alone a hug 😜

god, i wish i were more eloquent with character analysis. they are such tragic and complicated little guys even the thought of them makes me sick tbh. i explore harry's pov a lot more b/c 1. that's my boy and 2. what a tragedy holy shiiit. i'm sure i could write a fic solely exploring his relationship with norman osborn because wow! daddy issues doesn't seem to cut it! see, he loves his father. he was never - still isn't - enough for his father but he loves him anyway because norman was all he had, all he thought he really had. these towering expectations, suffocating and pressure-binding, that was the love he knew. such an interesting internal monologue to play around w/.

and even disregarding norman, harry's still a loverboy. "weak" and "sensitive" and "never amounting to anything" harry osborn who is best friends with puny parker. "not a real man" harry osborn falling in love with peter parker, the peter who is avoidant and emotionally distant because "with great power comes responsibility" and "don't tell harry" and honestly because he's a bit of a dick! i love him but god! he is used to not getting what he wants. he is used to trailing after mj and used to watching his best friend destroy himself with alcohol and vengeance and used to the consequences of what happens when you do nothing. like i get it. he's been through a lot. he's trying. but PETERRR. anyway no one does it like him <3 don't get me wrong i like other renditions of peter parker in spider-man media but ughhhgsgh i actively rotate him in my mind.

And honestly that’s still too nice. They are the worst… Though if unreliable is the tamest word for c!Sapnap and c!George, what is the kindest description for c!Sam and c!Quackity he could say if forced?… Greedy? Corrupt?…

So C!Punz definitely has a baseline level of rage for the denizens of The SMP due to the whole “Cares about C!Dream.” thing, but C!George and C!Sapnap probably have a special place in his heart for how specifically he hates them. “Unreliable” would probably be his kindest descriptor for them if he was forced to be honest.

Now that we have more info and access, let's talk about Quackity's tools shall we...

On day one, Quackity brings a pair of unenchanted shears and Sam gives him WARDENS WILL and WARDENS HAMMER as well as some item frames (which as an aside I’ve always thought is such an unhinged inclusion…).

Thus completing the trifecta of torture tools that we see in the montage later [clip]. :]

But we also know that it doesn’t end there, because in the other 2 visits we get to see he actually doesn’t even use Sam weapons (besides WARDENS TORMENT), so we know there are other undefined tools, which is why it’s so exciting to now be able to see inside chests and inventories because now we can analyze and speculate to kinda determine what those tools might have been and their enchantments (and perhaps the implications of their enchantments)…

So, for starters, in that same montage it also shows Quackity grabbing tools from a room and throwing them on the floor [seen below], which ends up being what looks like 3 neitherite axes, 3 netherite swords, and 1 pair of shears, likely implying that multiple weapons of the same type were also used (further supported by the fact that we see him use both WARDENS HAMMER and a netherite axe with low durability). Tragically, this storage room stocked with netherite weapons doesn’t exist on the map [post] :( so instead I’m gonna determine what I think are the most likely candidates from the chests in the prison, Las Nevdas, Quackity’s inventory and Sam’s inventory.

Now I’m gonna assume that 1 of the 3 axes thrown on the ground and 1 of the 3 swords are WARDENS HAMMER and WARDENS WILL, because there are not enough reasonable or qualifying sword or axe options in the locations we have to look at (this of course all based on the assumption that they aren’t in this storage room on the other map they filmed it on or didn’t have Mending and broke).

The second axe dropped I’m gonna say is the one with low durability seen in both the streams where he tries to get Dream to write the letter and the one with Techno later, which matches the one in Quackity’s ender chest with Efficiency V and mending. This axe is pretty interesting for the fact that is does not have sharpness on it, perhaps that is because that does too much damage. It’s low durability makes a lot of sense based on the lack of Unbreaking, and the Mending actually confirms what I had already theorized based off of the bottles of enchanting in his inventory when he visits rivals duo, which certainly has some implications about how much he used this axe to the point he needed to mend it mid session…

After the 2 axes, we see a sword and again I’m gonna just say this is WARDENS WILL. The last axe I’m gonna say is most likely the one in Quackity’s inventory with Efficiency V, Fortune III, Mending, Sharpness V, Unbreaking III. This one has much more durability, perhaps because of the Unbreaking or because we don’t see it in the visits we get, maybe because it has Sharpness V he doesn’t use it as much.

The second sword I’m gonna say is also one from his inventory called SPIDER MASTER 2000 with Bane of Arthropods V, Fire Aspect, Unbreaking III, and Mending. Based on the name and Arthropods, this sword was likely made for the purpose of farming xp in the spider farm, but I’d say it’s not unreasonable to think Quackity used it for other things too. Makes me wonder if that Athropods enchantment has any strange effect on a person. And don’t even get me started on the Fire Aspect. :]

The third sword I’m gonna say is this one in a chest in the prison with Knockback II, Looting III, Mending, Sharpness V, Sweeping Edge III, and Unbreaking III, for 2 reasons 1) the chest it is in includes building items such as Quartz and Smooth Stone [highlighted in yellow] which are not present in the prison but are in multiple areas of Las Nevadas and 2) It has full durability, but has Mending to explain that unlike the other nethrite swords in the prison (minus the Guard Sword, which I doubt he let Q use) and Sam’s inventory, all with high durability. Perhaps we could make up some reason like perhaps using the Sweeping Edge or Knockback to explain the full durability and why it’s in a chest in the prison. Perhaps it is Sam’s sword but Quackity was miss using it or the enchantments on it made it too dangerous or something, so Sam made him heal it and return it. Maybe that’s why he stops giving Quackity his Warden weapons too… who knows.

Then we see a pair of unenchanted shears, which we see him have in his first visit and the one with rivals duo. Given that shears’ durability doesn’t last long in general and that these are unenchanted, it’s probably reasonable to say that he perhaps broke and brought multiple pairs of unenchanted shears, so to pin down the specific pair isn’t great, but we do see a pair in a hidden chest under the Needle in Las Nevadas (and irl wise it’s not like they did 80 scenes of torture so this could technically be the pair from the rivals duo stream (and maybe even the first visit)). Especially since it also has a pair of iron pants and an enchanted diamond sword like we see in his inventory during that stream. An enchanted diamond sword also appears in the letter visit and I’m gonna say they are both this sword with Sharpness I. It has higher durability than the one seen in the rivals visit, but perhaps he healed it with a diamond or something. This diamond sword is pretty interesting in the fact that it isn’t netherite like the ones shown in the montage, so it also than does less damage, even more so due to the minimum enchantments. Perhaps that’s what makes it such a good option for torture as it doesn’t do too much damage and kill Dream on accident.

During the rivals duo visit, we also see WARDENS TORMENT which to my suprise only has Unbreaking III not Mending. We also see an unenchanted diamond pickaxe. Now we could say he only brought the pickaxe with the purpose of getting his revenge or we could take it as a sign that he used pickaxes too outside of just shears, swords and axes. After all, WARDENS WILL BREAKER is the name of Sam’s pickaxe, so surely it was used when trying to break Dream’s will (and if that then perhaps the netherite pickaxe in Quackity’s inventory as well).

Furthermore, when Quackity runs into George outside the prison, we see him carrying an enchanted diamond pickaxe likely the same one in his inventory with Fortune II and Unbreaking III, which I’d say can be reasonably assumed to have been used inside the prison (perhaps just for convenience sake). Especially because, also in his inventory at the time is a stack of seeds, which appears in the chest with the enchanted diamond sword and shears which we already determined were likely used.

So, those are all the things we can more reasonably conclude with some reasonings and conclusions definitely stronger than others. Even further though if we wanted to really start to theorize, there is an also an argument to be made (that I’ve actually highlighted before [posts - <> <>]) that if he uses pickaxes why not also shovels? And hoes? And maybe even one of Sam tridents, perhaps WARDENS MERCY with Channeling [post]? [potential weapons used highlighted in red] I don’t know, it’s really mostly all theoretical but fun to think about anyways, I mean we do have Quackity’s comment in the letter visit, “I’ll show you which one I’ll use this time around.” [clip] and Dream’s comment to Foolish, “Sam, you know, let him in the prison, let him bring in tools—and shears, and they tried to torture the revive book out of me…” [clip] which does somewhat support the reasoning for more variety of tools. After all, why doesn’t Dream say weapons and shears? Seems to me like you’d use tools to include the shears, cuz swords and axes are just weapons. (We can obviously explain this away for many reason but that’s besides the point). Plus I mean based off of what Dream said in Daedalus as noted we tend to like to reasonably assume a knife and chair was involved (further supported by ccSam if we chose to believe his unhinged comments lol XD), and that certainly opens the door for other things…

I think there is nothing weird about bringing back 21-22 discourse, cause there are a lot of people who still have very weird takes on c!vaultduo. Like, youtube recommended me some recently released (end of 2024) video analysis of dsmp with "lore-criticism" and I watched it purely out of interest, and it was so bad: author said that the torture in prison was a "narrative consequence" for c!Dream and praised c!whoreduo for avenging c!Tommy, they also added that prison conditions can be considered inhumane and usually they would criticize the media for not condemning such things, but PV is a whole different thing, since c!Dream chose such conditions himself for everyone except himself!! and they used c!Dream remaining silent while c!Sam scolded and victimblamed him as a "gotcha!! c!Sam is right!!", but these takes were pretty popular with c!sam apologists back in the day, what made me really laugh was when they said that originally, cc!Dream *intended* for his character to die at the hands of the people he hurt the most as revenge, and that list included c!whoreduo, BUT they added that they doubt c!Sam specifically would be capable of doing that, cause he is just so kind and not cruel at all!! You know, the guy who fantasized about c!Dream kneeling in front of him and crying isn't cruel enough to kill him haha what a clown...
