Mm.. don't take this the wrong way but your future spouse wants someone that is maybe more of a mess with their feelings. They're more than happy to be your saving grace. They don't care that you're not perfect or that you have lots of lows. They want you... raw.. lmao. not me snorting. They want someone that is comfortable with showing them their bad side, their ugly side. Again, if you don't have every single trait here please don't feel bad but I'm getting for some, your future spouse is into someone that has pretty eyes and you may have that. They may really like the colour of your eyes and how the light hits it, if not your eyes itself. There's a lot of traits coming up here now, and I feel like I really am just exclusively describing you.

I'm getting that you're also a calm person, a nice person to be around, like someone just wants to bask in your presence. You also seem to keep improving in life. You keep leveling up. You know how to leave things when it is time. You are able to move on efficiently (?, that's what I got). you've known vox to be someone who isn't shy with affection nor words, so he definitely likes bringing out a reaction out of you knowing that you're shy.

pda is his thing, and the first time he held you and you got so red, the image of that is basically permanently planted in his head.

vox is very reliable, so i assume that he would be the type that will do stuff for you if you can't. for example, he'll initiate most of the affection and will always be sure that you're comfortable.

he would ask for permission before touching you, so that you don't get surprised when he suddenly snakes an arm around your waist while your doing some chores.

he definitely notices your efforts in being the first to approach him, but he'll never push you to do it. so imagine how proud he was when you were the first to ask for a kiss after you both started dating.

"my, isn't this something, darling?", still manages to tease you before he gently leans into your lips, slightly feeling you tremble before holding you tight to reassure you.

he would tease you sometimes, but doesn't do it often because he doesn't wanna make you feel uncomfortable. so, he'll only usually do it if he notices that you're being playful.

the type to definitely sneak kisses when he thinks your asleep because he just finds you adorable!

overall, isn't really a problem to him knowing that his loveable significant other is shy around him, in fact, he likes it!

you and kazuki are probably besties, because kazuki bribes you with information abt rei you've never heard of before, and rei is always trying to separate you both.

he actually likes seeing you all sparkly and excited.

the both of you were pretty awkward early on in the relationship since talking wasn't really a thing.

but after a while, rei got used to the idea of having you around that he doesn't act all lazy anymore (kazuki thanks the lord for you).

if you also play games, expect a lot of late night dates where you both play games and hang out.

rei trusts you with his life, and is probably most comfortable with you. so, he isn't shy to prove that he loves you.

confesses out of the blue so often just to make sure you still love him.

sorry for rambling in your inbox but having recently finished a cassandra romance, your post abt people not, like, analyzing her got to me. i know you have arthur who romances(divorces) her and makes her divine but i don't know if you've fully played that out, actually seeing it in-game made me feel rabid. it's kind of an insane thing to do to her... cassandra is the divine candidate who /wants/ the position the least. leliana actively puts herself forward as a candidate, vivienne would never be so gauche as to be direct but she clearly is interested in the position. for cassandra it is a duty she must accept, bordering on a burden (particularly if she can never marry an inquisitor she loves as a result). she became the right hand of the divine as a teenager!!! she loathes the trappings of her name and nobility but she's been trapped by duty instead her whole life. free my girl she did all that but i understand her

it makes me feel insane.

i haven’t played it through no. and i don’t even consider myself to know cassandra particularly well (this is true of a lot of inquisition companions, having never finished the game fully with dlcs and thus never felt completely comfortable watching through banter compilations and alternate endings and low approval scenes and so on.) but from everything i do know about cassandra, the very fundamentals, making her divine feels so... cruel? it’s terrible for literally everybody involved except possibly the snakes in the grand cathedral who are going to eat her alive.

cassandra is a woman of action and passion, brash and violent, a blunt weapon, forthright in both her accusations and her affection. the life of a divine is everything she hates; she might as well be the noblewoman in a gilded cage she was raised to be (in a childhood that poisoned her entire extended family and nation for her), or perhaps an honoured corpse preserved lifeless and useless in the grand necropolis (the ones a young cassandra thought looked so “very sad” in the midst of all their buried, wasted finery.)

i was struck during dawn of the seeker by what an obvious publicity stunt it was to make her the divine’s right hand after her success against the conspiracy. a duty she had to accept, was even publicly surprised into accepting. at her age, would she ever have been put so forward in the seekers to be engaged in fighting such a conspiracy, if not for her name? she would not even have been allowed to join the seekers when she did if not for that. she has no skills of good judgement or leadership and it’s only due to the accident of her birth that these pressures she isn’t equipped to match are constantly placed on her shoulders.

she already wanted to leave after beatrix died, but justinia convinced her otherwise, for a failed vision that ended in death cassandra blames herself for. i find it harder and harder to blame her for dodging the inquisitor’s position, considering all that. and to make her divine... she won’t be good at it, she’ll fall into every politician’s scheme and old orthodox pattern even as she tries for ‘reform’ that she has no clarity of purpose for, she’ll be trapped there for the rest of a long grey life with none of the passion she longs for. she won’t be good at it!!! nobody in thedas benefits either! it’s worse! what the hell

(it’s kind of why i love my arthur and this ending the way i do, because of the equivalency. she does terrible things to him, reinstating the circles while he stands alone as her archmage. but he also did a terrible thing to her, by putting her in this position! by ruining her life and also lying all this time to someone he supposedly loves! neither justifiable or comparable, love loses, nobody wins, they are drowning there is no sign of land etc etc)

Alright, random question but what are your headcanons about which of the TWST boys are affectionate? You know, like they love cuddling, leaning on or just being close to whoever. Not to necessarily instigate anything, they just like being touchy-feely.

Another episode of “Ryu thinks that it’s going to take 20 minutes but ends up talking a whole lot” lol Thanks for your question, Anon! Even though you asked about them being affectionate, I think I ended up talking about them liking or not liking skinship… which isn’t necessarily wrong I guess, but still.

I hope you enjoy this list nonetheless. And thank you for the wait!

Riddle – the perfect example of “he isn’t affectionate, but he likes affection”. He would complain if he got hugged, but it would actually feel very good. HUGGED, NOT SQUEEZED! >:( STAY AWAY, FLOYD! Although after Floyd attacks him with his tight hug and then releases him, Riddle starts feeling his surprising pleasant sting in his shoulders and thighs. Maybe he does like tight hugs…Not from Floyd though! Also, if Riddle gets overly emotional, he might hug someone, but he’ll get embarrassed about it.

Ace – he is at the stage of his life when he thinks that public displays of affection is cringe, even if it’s in a friendly way. But he still does a lot of physical stuff: he ruffles hair, grabs hands, leans on people and stuff. It’s not unusual for him to use Deuce as an armrest lol But hugs and all this stuff – he doesn’t like it.

Deuce – similar to Ace, but he is a bit more reserved these days. He used to be more physical though, because his delinquent senpais were very comfortable with each other physically. In a way, Deuce and Ace are also pretty comfortable with each other. They fall asleep together quite often: while sitting on a bench during recess, after PE on a mat, on a couch or even on their beds. If one of them starts dozing off, chances are, someone is going to find them sleeping together and drooling all over each other.

Trey – he would’ve been more openly affectionate if he didn’t try to stay neutral at all times. But Trey just can’t stop balancing between being not too friendly and not too distant, can he? Still, he could squeeze one’s shoulder, occasionally ruffle hair, but in general he is a “thumbs up” type of guy. But if he’s alone with someone he likes (Riddle yes), he would hug, caress his back, play with his hair and in general act like he’s compensating, being very greedy about it.

Cater – he’s pretty touchy-feely. He loves hugs, squeezing his cheek against another person’s cheek to take a selfie, he loves cuddles and holding hands, but he himself isn’t even sure how much of it is genuine. His go-to is to try to hug someone and get clingy anyway; whether he really likes it or not, touching another human being feels great. Wow I made him sound like an alien…

Leona – nah, he isn’t really affectionate. In theory, he wouldn’t mind napping with someone, but in actuality it would only make him super annoyed. It makes him remember all the times he and Falena used to sleep together as cubs, and he doesn’t like thinking about it.

Ruggie – he would be affectionate if he liked at least one person in this hellish school lol He feels like he doesn’t really need to be affectionate, there is just no point. Sometimes he thinks that Leona would want him to be, but Ruggie thinks that if Leona wants it, he could just ask for it, otherwise Ruggie won’t even bother. That being said, he ruffles Jack’s hair sometimes as a friendly gesture. Not often though, Jack’s too tall.

Jack – mega affectionate good boy who tries very hard not to get too touchy. If he didn’t hold back his urges, he would’ve grabbed people’s arms, hands, lean to them, smell them, nuzzle people’s necks with his cold nose, do a lot of ehhh dog skinship I guess. But in reality he feels way too awkward about these things, so he doesn’t do it often.

Azul – yes and no. He loves touching other people, but it’s more about asserting dominance, not showing affection. But even though he rarely shows it, Azul likes physical affection – he used to be cuddled a lot by everyone around him, so if he is way too happy he could hug and even kiss someone (if they’re close enough of course). He also never does it, but he loves to cuddle, but his cuddling style is cursed. Somehow, even when he’s cuddling, Azul is never fully relaxed, so he just squeezes his cuddle-buddy with his limbs so hard that he (mostly Idia) can’t even move… It also hurts afterwards…

Jade – not affectionate at all, his body language is as cold as his eyes. He is grabby, but it’s the observing/learning kind of grabby + the type of grabby to freak people out. I honestly can’t imagine a situation in which Jade would want to cuddle, other than maybe if he knows that a person he tries to cuddle would get scared or super mad. Because in that case he’s the cuddliest person alive! ^^ Cuddling is just a tactic to him to get what he wants, even if he just wants a reaction.

Floyd – he is a bit more cuddly than Jade and much more physical than him, he is one of the touchiest people in the cast. This is just how he talks to people, he plays with their clothes, hair, fingers, everything… but I guess it also doesn’t mean that he is affectionate at all. A lot of it depends on his mood, and every once in a while I can picture him wanting to grab someone and cuddle, but I think in general cuddling is pretty boring to him. Well, only if he can move around and touch his prey everywhere!

Kalim – the cuddliest bastard in the world. Skinship never ends. He hugs people he’s just met, he shakes hands, he high-fives, he clings to people, rests his head on their shoulders, touches everywhere. And it isn’t always obvious if he is being flirtatious or just playful, because he always seems flirtatious… but in fact it’s just him being friendly and very affectionate. He kisses his friends’ cheeks when he feels like it, why not? The only person he doesn’t do it all the time with is, ironically, Jamil, because Jamil always says “Kalim, don’t…” and sighs deeply. Every once in a while Kalim doesn’t bother him… every hour in a day.

Jamil – maybe it’s due to the fact that he has been overcuddled by Kalim for his entire life, but he isn’t very affectionate. He would prefer not to touch anyone and for others not to touch him. But unlike some others touch-me-nots on this list, Jamil doesn’t have the same awkwardness that comes to not being a hugger, for example. He is confident, he knows how to touch people and how to make affectionate gestures, he also knows how to respond to this kind of stuff (he’s way too used to it); he just doesn’t want to be touched. I feel like he wouldn’t even be able to cuddle properly, because he is never 100% relaxed.

Vil – he seems very unapproachable, but this is him always keeping TPO in mind. He is a Pomefiore Housewarden, and while it doesn’t mean that he can’t show affection, he thinks it’d be inappropriate for him to go around hugging people for no reason. He is pretty cuddly when he is alone with his loved ones, be it Rook (although Rook overpowers him when it comes to affection), Epel (this one is pretty rare lol), his dad (Vil is probably the most affectionate with him) or Ortho (he deserves all the cheek kisses when he is being a good boy).

Rook – one of the most physical and cuddly people in the cast. We’ve seen him grabbing and hugging people tightly a couple of times in the main story lol And this is him trying not to act too wildly! But sometimes he just can’t help his emotions. He really loves hugging and touching people, and just like with Kalim, sometimes he takes it a bit too far for it to be a friendly type of gesture, but unlike Kalim, he is much more aware of it. When it comes to intimacy with his loved ones, sometimes he wants to do nothing but to have sex and cuddle, but luckily for Vil (and all of us) he has a lot of stuff to do, a lot of people to hunt and a lot of irons in the fire, so their cuddling sessions usually last for an hour max.

Epel – sometimes he is pretty cuddly! When he is in his giggly mode, he could even get a little clingy. I feel like he was surrounded by ehhh physical warmth and cuddles?? Since he was the only kid in his village and he always got treated with adoration. But if someone was to address the fact that he is clingy, Epel would get angry and embarrassed…

Idia – he is so touch-starved and so isolated and asocial that I wouldn’t call him affectionate; he prefers to keep his hands to himself, and if it was possible he would hide his entire self in a pocket of his jacket and never come out of it. That being said, while it is super difficult, it’s not impossible to get him to cuddle, but it’s more of a “his loved one cuddles HIM and he allows it while secretly enjoying it a lot” type of thing. But I also think he enjoys rough treatment more lol

Ortho – he wasn’t designed to be affectionate, but he does pick up on things that he sees around or in the movies. Sometimes he implements some of these actions (hugs, hand holding, back rubbing) in his programme just to check which ones Idia reacts strongly to. Of course, he remembers all this data and uses it when needed~ Real!Ortho would be super affectionate and physical though, pretty close to how Kalim is.

Lilia – medium level, but closer to a high level. He is not a grabber/hugger, but a poker/tickler lol He would pat heads, scratch chins, play with hair and do this kind of stuff. He isn’t a huge fan of cuddles, but he enjoys them more now that he’s older and likes being lazy.

Silver – he is one gentle kid. He isn’t actively affectionate, i.e. he doesn’t hug and stuff, but when he does enjoy falling asleep next to someone or on someone else’s shoulder or lap. Sitting on someone’s lap is also a very comforting thing to him, as it reminds him of Lilia, but he doesn’t allow himself to do that anymore: he is too old for that. So, isn’t necessarily affectionate himself, but loves being petted, caressed and scratched.

Sebek – he is very physical, but not affectionate. Maybe it’s because he is still young, but he doesn’t want to show this “gentle” side that he might or might not have: it feels more natural for him to grab and pull. It’s not like he would completely hate cuddling if he was in a situation with someone he really really loves (*akhem* Malleus), but isn’t not something that he even thinks about all that often. And if Silver falls asleep on his shoulder… Sebek’s going to push him away (almost💕) every time!

Malleus – depends on a person and on his mood; for the majority of time he isn’t very physical, but he does crave this kind of thing sometimes. Mostly he would just hold hands or do this kind of stuff, but neither Lilia nor Sebek are the type to do that with him (Sebek would pass out lol). Malleus used to be more cuddly when he was younger, there was a period of time when he would always nuzzle to Lilia’s neck or chest and hug him tightly, but as he grew older he kind of stopped doing that. It’s a very vulnerable thing to him I guess.

Activities - What do they enjoy doing with you?

Azula doesn’t really mind what you do. She says it’s because as long as you’re happy, she’s happy. In reality, she doesn’t really know a lot of “normal” activities to do with people so she’d rather you take the lead.

Body - What is their favourite part of you?

Likes your hands. She thinks they’re a good demonstrator of someone’s strength and she enjoys bending your fingers and watching them move.

Cuddles - Are they a cuddly person?

Not a huge fan of physical affection but will humour you occasionally if you want to hug her. She doesn't really know what to do with her arms so hugs may feel awkwards until she warms up to them.

Dates - Where are they taking you on dates?

Much like just doing things with you, Azula doesn't really know many “normal” date ideas. She’s happy to leave that up to you, otherwise you’d be destroying enemy battleships for a date.

Emotions - How in touch are they with their emotions?

Azula’s got a complicated relationship with emotions. She allows herself to feel all of her emotions freely but still struggles with more sentimental emotions such as affection or genuine care. It might take her a while to figure those ones out properly.

Future - What future are they picturing with you?

Definitely sees herself staying with you long term, even considering marriage. Once she chooses someone to be with seriously, she sticks with them. Together, you will rule the Fire Nation and topple every other nation on the planet! You will be unstoppable!

Gifts - Are they a gift giver?

Azula has plenty of money to spend so she loves giving you gifts. They’ll always be things you’ve mentioned wanting as well, so Azula’s definitely a great gift giver.

Holding - How do they like to hold you?

As mentioned before, Azula’s not super comfortable with physical affection. If anything, she would probably prefer sitting with you, backs pressed together. It’s a display of trust as well as something she finds relaxing.

Injury - How do they react when you're injured?

If someone has hurt you, she’s going after them with both threats of physical violence and the destruction of their social status. If it’s a minor injury she’ll laugh it off with you before getting one of her servants to patch you up.

Jealousy - Do they get jealous?

Azula’s definitely prone to jealousy, however she’s also more than well equipped to deal with anyone who is foolish enough to try their luck stealing away the partner of the princess of the Fire Nation. You may have to prevent her from going overboard though.

Kisses - What are their favourite types of kisses?

Likes back of the hand kisses, both giving and receiving. She feels they’re befitting of her status and they’re something you can do in public without being indecent.

Love - Who says "I love you" first?

I think you would say those three words first but Azlua probably wouldn’t be far behind. She knows how she feels about you, it’s just a matter of figuring out how to tell you.

Memory - What is their favourite memory with you?

Azula’s favourite memory with you probably involves fighting. Whether it’s a bar fight, a confrontation with the Avatar, quashing your enemies, or even just sparing together, Azula likes fighting side by side with you.

Nicknames - What nicknames do they give you?

I don’t see Azula as someone who uses nicknames a whole lot. She much prefers using your actual name.

Obvious - Are they obvious in their affection?

Decently good at concealing her feelings, especially when she’s in public. However the more you get to know her, the more you’re able to see the signs and read her emotions.

PDA - Are they a fan of PDA?

Azula’s not a huge fan of PDA, more because of her status as the princess of the Fire Nation. She’s got a reputation to uphold. She’s also not eager to let her enemies know she has a weak spot when it comes to you.

Quirks - What are some of their quirks?

Azula enjoys practising with her flames when she’s bored. Often she’ll ask you to name animals or objects and try to recreate them with her flames.

Romance - Are they romantic?

Romantic but in her own unique way. If you find it romantic when people tell you they would kill thousands for you, you’re in luck.

Secrets - Do they keep secrets from you?

Has a tendency to keep secrets from you but that is more a habit formed by her position than her actually wanting to hide things from you. Any secrets she keeps are all about military secrets anyway.

Talking - What do they like talking to you about?

Honestly, Azula prefers listening to you than talking. She likes hearing about what you’ve done that day since it’s always so different from her life.

Understanding - How understanding are they?

Azula’s not great at understanding others, especially when they’re different from her. She will try but it might take a while for her to get the hang of it. Until then, clear communication is key.

Value - What do they value most about you?

Your willingness to be with her despite all her shortfallings. As set in her way as she is, Azula knows she sometimes isn’t the best person and she’s grateful you’re willing to put all that aside and care for her regardless.

Wild Card - What's a random headcanon about the character?

Azula has a habit of chewing on her lip when she’s thinking. Sometimes it gets bad enough that she will make her lips bleed. She’ll be grateful if you point out when she’s doing it before it gets to that stage.

X-Ray - How easily can they read your emotions?

Can usually tell how you’re feeling but struggles to understand why you’re feeling that way or empathising with you if it doesn’t align with her emotions.

Yearning - How do they handle being away from you?

Handles being away from you well since she’s used to travelling without friends or family. She does enjoy your company when you’re reunited however.

Zen - How easily do they relax around you?

Doesn’t find it particularly easy to relax regardless of who’s around. But externally, she gives off the impression of being relaxed. After a while of getting to know you, she will begin to truly relax.

A/N: thank you and I hope you have a great day too :) quick note that this may be a bit OOC, reader is mentioned to be female once or twice and there are subtle mentions of suicide and self harm aswell as abuse. This is also a pretty long post so do be warned.

a= affection (how affectionate are they? do they like receiving affection?)

•I think his love language is probably word of affirmation and quality time but William’s not restricted to just those two and will show you how much he loves you in a variety of forms.

•I feel like Liam would be against showing too much physical affection in public. It is the Victorian era after all and people would have a heart attack if a lady showed her ankles. But in general I think he’s a fairly affectionate lover. In public he would hold your hand and keep you close by him, maybe giving you a quick peck on the cheek or forehead but more commonly on the back of your hand as traces of pink blush rise to his cheeks, however he will tell you often how pretty, smart, funny etc. you are no matter who is around.

•in private, liam would be very affectionate to make up for his inability to do so in public without feeling incredibly flustered. Cuddling (god I hate using that word) would be fairly frequent and if you were out or vice versa, he’d give you a kiss on the lips and a hug when he or you returned . He’s a big hugger tbh but I’ll talk more about that later.

•he didn’t receive much affection as a child because it was mostly just him and louis and although he got a few hugs from friends in the orphanage but mostly from his little brother, Liam’s probably quite touch starved so if you do the bare minimum, it’ll have him on the verge of tears. In bed (get ur mind outta the gutter) he doesn’t mind being the big or little spoon but really just likes feeling the warmth of your body against his own cold one and hearing your steady heart beat.

b = beauty (what do they find most attractive and beautiful about their s/o, physically and otherwise?)

• honestly I think William won’t care too much about looks. He’s already seen how pretty privileged individuals get treated better i society and those who are deemed “ugly” get treated worse. That doesn’t mean he doesn’t value your beauty but rather that he thinks that looks fade and your inner beauty is more important.

•I think a romance with Liam would be a “he falls first and harder” + “love at first site”

•like when he first meets you as you feed a stray animal or teach an orphan or stand up to a corrupt noble, he’d see you as an almost angelic being and he would take that on throughout your relationship. He always sees such a brightness on your face whether your smiling or not. It’s like he can see beauty just radiating from your face.

•physically he sees your entire being as pretty but especially your face. It’s something liam has the pleasure of seeing everyday and sees no flaw in. He’s pretty hopelessly in love and I think thats adorable.

c = comfort (how would they comfort their s/o and how would his s/o comfort him)

• he’s actually really good at comforting you (I know I’m on the bad list but Santa please gimme a William moriarty. He’s too husband material to not be real) If he ever sees you’ve been crying, he’ll hold you in his arms and lets you tell him all your woes and troubles, wiping your tears away with his thumb and kissing your face while telling you how much you mean to him and how perfect you are.

•William tends to not talk about his problems much. He’s scared of being a burden and doesn’t like facing his past of being constantly abused as a child. He bottles up all his emotions until he cracks under the pressure and hides away where nobody can see him. If you’re comforting him, it’s probably best to just let him know that you’re there and give him a long hug while telling him you love him.

d = domestic (do they want to settle down? how are they around the house?)

•he has a lot on his mind but if he ever achieved his goals of eradicating the country of corruption, he would like to settle down in a small house farther away in the country with you but also in close proximity to his brothers who he would want to visit often with his children he would hope to have. After coming back with Sherlock from his ‘death’ he’s ready to live that life with you.

•everyone in the Moriarty manor helps around the house (maybe not Moran but whatever) so he does his fair share of housework too and he’s pretty good at it.

e = equal (what is the relationship dynamic like? Who is “in control”?)

•almost every Victorian relationship would have the husband as more dominant in the relationship and fulfilling all his masculine duties while women would be submissive and probably work as housewives or just socialites.

•however William knows this isn’t healthy and makes an effort to show you that you’re both equal in the relationship.

•instead of you being behind him or not talking to anyone in noble gatherings and parties, he encourages you to speak your mind and show you are equal to him.

•he’s such a cute little feminist 🥰 🥰

f = family & friends (how would their family feel about the relationship and how would they find out?)

•I think bond, Jack, Fred, Albert and Moran can probably tell there’s something going on between the two of you even before you confess to each other. Bond and Moran and constantly teasing the two of you and calling you ‘lovebirds’. Albert also teases William in a big brother kind of way but never as much as Bonde or Moran do. It’s kind of obvious to him that William has a crush on you. Jack starts giving slightly unwanted tips to William on how to capture a woman’s heart too. Fred asks you out of curiosity if you’re in love with William to which you reply in a flustered state.

• “lady (name), is it true you’re in love with Lord William?”

“What-? I mean he’s a really wonderful guy and I wouldn’t say no to courting him but-“

“So you do love him? 🤨”

“Yeah..”

•Louis would be bit clueless the entire time but the thought had popped in his head once after wondering if anyone in the group was going to get married because he wanted to know if he could make a wedding cake 💀

•I don’t think there would be a particular ‘announcement’ really. You two could just say you were getting married one day and nobody would think much of it (I’m gonna just namedrop my mtp fanfic ‘false lovers’ and say it would be funny if the two of you were pretend married except you acted like you were an old married couple so nobody would even be surprised if you mentioned that you two were in love.) Louis would probably be the only person half surprised.

•in terms of their thoughts on your relationship, they’d all be glad that William would have someone he could always rely on. Louis would especially be happy because he trust you to take care of William and be by his side. They all like you a lot and think you’re a good match together.

•I almost forgot about Sherlock. If you were there with William while they met on the noahtic, he would deduce that you both like each other but get cut off by one of you, solidifying his assumptions even more. He refers to you as William’s wife even if you aren’t married just because he’s thinks he’s funny. If William ever confides in Sherlock about you, I think that would show to Sherlock who probably has no interest in love that the two of you truly do love each other.

g = gentle (how gentle are they, both physically and emotionally?)

•he’s incredibly gentle. Liam’s so soft spoken around you and has never ever yelled at you, even in arguments. If he’s upset with you, it’s probably with good reason or he’s stressed and can’t talk to anyone but even then he tells you maturely that he needs to be alone or needs comfort (even if he refuses to ask for help sometimes)

•every lingering touch is soft and calm. His “blood stained” hands are really soft and well taken care of. Sometimes to grasp your attention, he hold your hands in his and talks to you in the sweetest and most harmonious voice ever.

•If you’re on a mission together, he’ll try do most of the work because he doesn’t want you getting hurt but applauds you for every noble you stab and shoot. After each mission he’ll take you to the side and wipe any filthy blood of your pretty face and comfort you, telling you it’s all over and one day you won’t need to do any of this anymore

h = hugs (do they like hugs? how often do they do it? what are their hugs like?)

•he likes hugs but only in private, like I said earlier. There’s something really intimate about just holding someone in your arms and never wanting to let go.

•he hugs you quite often but again, only really in private. He might hug you from behind in the morning while you brush your teeth or after a mission he’d kiss your forehead and hug you in his arms or have you sit on his lap and play with his hair while he’s finishing off marking papers for university. His hugs are soft and comforting whether it’s him spooning you in bed or wrapping his arms around your waist when he gets home from work.

i = i love you (how fast do they say the L-word?)

•to be honest, I think if William really loved someone romantically, he’d have to have known them for a long time. He shows you that he loves you in other ways such as protecting you or getting you gifts or spending time with you.

•he doesn’t think he should wait too long to tell you he loves you because as your lover, it should be expected rather than a surprise but he’s not going to tell you he loves you straight away.

•I think Liam would say he loves you while he climbs into bed with you, thinking ours still asleep and just giving you a kiss on the cheek and whispering ‘I love you’ before he falls asleep except you were awake the entire time and whisper back an ‘I love you’

j = jealousy (how jealous do they get? what do they do when they're jealous?)

•I cant tell if he would get jealous fairly easily or not at all. I guess he’d be jealous but fairly silently.

•If someone’s flirting with you, he’ll get a bit more handsy until they realise they should leave. If they don’t leave after you tel them you already have someone he’ll start dropping a few more hints until he speaks up and tells them to leave. If you ask him later if he was jealous, he’d only reply with a smile and “any man would feel envious if some imbecile was flirting with his beautiful lover” and that’s the end of it. Unless the guy flirting with you ends up dead the following day for various other reasons expect this time he put a bit more effort into the kill.

k = kisses (what are their kisses like? where do they like to kiss their partner? where do they like to be kissed?)

•oh to have the privilege of being kissed by William.

•his kisses are passionate and soft. He’s not really a rough kisser and is more sensual. His lips are soft and well taken care of and he’s very very gentle

•Liam’s favourite places to kiss you would be your forehead, your cheeks, your neck, your hands and your lips. (But he doesn’t discriminate!!) Each place he kisses is for various reasons and imply different things.

•Kissing you on the forehead is for comforting you, cheeks would be if you did him a quick favour like fetching something for him or when he’s leaving for work in a rush and doesn’t have time to give you a longer kiss. , neck is when… 😏 or when he’s hugging you from behind and catching you by surprise, hands is for when he’s flirting with you or showing you off in public and your lips is when he’s feeling more vulnerable.

•he basically had to raise Louis by himself while he was growing up and was frequently around other children in the orphanages he went to so he’s pretty good with kids even though he probably doesn’t think so.

•in the future, I can see him wanting a son or daughter with you if he’s willing to settle down, probably after he ‘died’

•if you can’t have children or would want to adopt, he’d be more than happy to adopt a little boy or girl who would come from an underprivileged background. It’s like he could go back in time and take in a mini him

m = morning (how are mornings spent with them?)

•I think Liam wakes up quite early so he’ll leave you to sleep but write a cute little ‘good morning’ note on his side of the bed and if you’re clinging on to him while you sleep, he’ll put his pillow in your arms instead. If he has no reason to wake up early and let’s himself have a lie-in , which is quite rare, he’s going to be woken up by a kiss from you on the top of his head as you try to wake him up while he mutters ‘five more minutes’ and grabs you back into his arms.

n = nicknames (what nicknames do you have for each other?)

•he’s not too fond of those really goofy nicknames like ‘snugglebug 🥺’ but he’s probably a more traditional guy. He doesn’t expect you to use any nicknames but if you do, he’d get very silently flustered.

•his nicknames for you would include: darling, my dear, my love, my Angel, honey, doll-face, sweetheart and maybe a shortened version of your first name. Anything that makes you happy and/or can get you blushing.

•yours for him would include: baby, my love, sunshine, my beloved, darling, dearest, liam, will, Angel face, dove, mon amour, sweetheart and more

•I feel like if he sees you as a long time partner, which realistically he would, he would tell you his real name. I think it symbolises a deep connection between Liam and other people (his brothers and best friend all know his real name) so in private, he’d let you call him by that name.

•that’s certainly going to take a while.

•William is quite closed off and never really reveals anything about himself. Even in the manga and anime, we don’t find out much about William apart from how Albert took him in and that time he went to court but even then, not much detail is given.

•he has trust issues by the way so if he can trust you then the others would see it as a miracle.

•I don’t think it’s a matter of when but say if he was being vulnerable due to trauma and you’re there for him as he cries into your chest, he’ll tell you a few more things from his past.

•each time he gets vulnerable with you, he’ll tell you more pieces of his mysterious past and if you’re smart enough, you’ll be able to put all this together to create a mental timeline

•he’s really grateful he has someone to be somewhat open to even if it’s just a bit

•he seems pretty calm on the surface and it can honestly fool many people including yourself but as seen in the chapter where his student was hiding something from him, William actually has a lot of repressed anger

•he’s very patient with you, especially if you’ve had a past involving abuse from short tempered people. I don’t think he’d ever yell at you and he definitely would never hit you

•I have a headcannon that Liam has really good photographic memory and he remembers almost anything you tell him.

•you tell him about some old pet goldfish you really loved when you were 6 but it died because you accidentally over fed it and your dad had to flush it down the toilet? he’ll remember. (That sounds so sinister I’m sorry 💀)

•he’s also really good at planning dates because of this great ability. He can remember all of your favourite places to eat and your favourite flowers without difficulty.

•he has a lot. He literally loves every breathing moment with you and would want to die in your arms and be with you forever if he could.

•maybe it’s that time he made a slight miscalculation on a mission and got wounded so you had to temporarily bandage him up with some clean fabric from your clothes

•or maybe that time he got sick and could barely leave his bed (we all know this man is a major workaholic so he’s going to be upset about this to some degree) so you nursed him back to health and stayed by his side no matter how annoying or disgustingly ill he got (bro prolly still looks majestic even if he’s infected with a sickly virus)

•or that time you both stayed up late together in the library and fell asleep while he read to you and then you were both found by a worried Louis in the morning

•or that time that you took Liam outside one night to see a shooting star and although you don’t tell him what you wished for, he could hear you whispering under your breath “I want to be with William forever..”

•or that time you both went on a walk in a nearby peak and saw that a small pond had frozen over and he took you ‘ice skating’ on it (don’t try this at home kids, no matter how hot and sexy the blond man is)

•or that time you brought him lunch and were invited to stay for the remainder of the lecture while he was working and all his students were surprised that professor William had such a pretty wife (take the compliment bitch) but you and William had to avoid getting bombarded with questions about their teachers love life so you were stuck in a closet together until the young men had left to you both alone

•or that time..jk I’ll stop now..

s = security (how protective are they? would they like to be protected?)

•he’s pretty protective. Liam knows that multiple people would want to kidnap one of the people closest to the Lord of crime and use you against him. He also knows that once he gets outted as the Lord of crime, things are probably going to be difficult for you and you would totally be questioned about your involvement in the serial killings of nobles in England.

•he’s protective but not in a yandere way (unless I make a yandere alphabet and he is) or an abusive way. He respects that you are your own person and you can take care of yourself but if you’ve been gone for a good few hours (5+ hours is when he’d get a bit worried) and he doesn’t know where you are, that’s when his protective instinct kicks in and if anyone dares hurt you, they’re not going to make it home in one piece or without a few painful injuries.

•William can protect himself as much as you can but if he ever get out in a position where he doesn’t have a plan, he would be so grateful if you came to his rescue.

•like in that one manga chapter when he gets kidnapped, I can imagine his eyes lighting up when he see you enter the room and stab or shoot his captor even though he had a plan.

t = try (how much effort would they put into dates, anniversaries, gifts, everyday tasks?)

• Liam tries a lot. Sometimes he feels he doesn’t have enough time for you and he knows that when he does set up a date, he shouldn’t bail on you or make it low effort. He so a gentleman after all. On anniversaries or your birthday, he’ll make sure to make the whole day perfect, from getting you breakfast in bed to buying you expensive jewellery. He makes a note of all your favourite things so he knows what to do for you on dates

•William’s gifts are thoughtful and although he has a lot of money to spend on you, he also knows that simple things like a note in your pocket telling you to “have a lovely day :)” can bring a smile to your face too. If he sees flowers that he knows you like while he walks past the florist, he’ll bring them home for you. On bigger occasions such as birthdays, holidays or anniversaries, he puts alot of effort into finding out what the perfect gift for you would be. Sometimes he cant choose just one so expect William to hand you a gift bag full of gifts wrapped In Wrapping paper, all of varying sizes. Some may be boxes of pretty jewellery, others may be books. He also just likes buying you things even if it’s for no particular reason. Anything to show how much he loves you even in everyday tasks. He asks Louis to teach him how to make some of your favourite dishes so he can make them for you whenever or he’ll help you pick out outfits for parties (he thinks everything looks good on you so he may not be much of a help but he’s trying)

u = ugly (what would be some bad habits of theirs?)

•he smokes. A lot.

•although it’s canon that he does it for the sake of self harm, Liam tries to avoid doing it around you after numerous scoldings from you that it’s not good for his health (bonus points if you have some experience in the medical field). You tell him how bad it is for his lungs all the time and it makes him feel a bit guilty so he doesn’t smoke within a 100m radius of you

•he also lacks proper self-care in terms of not getting enough sleep and forgetting to eat , which annoys both you and Louis

•although he loves you a lot, William is suicidal so he always has the lingering thought that he’s going to have to die to atone for his sins soon and can be quite distant toward the ‘end’ of your relationship in an effort to protect you from any mental and emotional harm he also sometimes gets scared you’ll leave him and he wouldn’t be able to take that which is why earlier on, he’d be very hesitant to even talk to you and panics when he realises he might have feelings for you

•but like a win is a win and I would do anything, no matter how strange, to even breathe the same air as this man

v = vanity (how concerned are they with their looks?)

•William isn’t one to care too much about beauty, as I said earlier, but he sees himself as inferior to you deep down. He knows he doesn’t deserve you no matter how many times you tell him that he is. He has the nickname ‘Angel’ for you because he sees himself as a demon, a devil while you are a benevolent Angel who would never stoop to his level. (William please see a therapist)

•William also thinks you are the better looking one in the relationship, but he isn’t really insecure about himself. He knows he’s conventionally attractive. Multiple women have thrown themselves at him or asked him out on a date, to which he would politely decline. He knows you’re being genuine when you run your fingers through his blond hair and calling him the ‘ most beautiful and pretty man in the universe ‘ (if I was with Liam I’d be doing the at all the time. Every time he does anything I’d just be calling him pretty because I’m madly in love with him) He still feels he needs to make a slight effort around you and can feel a little insecure if another man was flirting with you, but you have the decency to turn him down

•he totally would. It would take a lot for William to even consider making friends let alone finding love so if he does end up falling in love, that means his significant other would be very special.

•at first he didn’t think he had time for love with all the Lord of crime stuff but after the constant denial of being helplessly in love with you turns to acceptance, he knows that you’re his other half. His heart only has room for you and if you were to leave him or if he were to leave you, liam would feel lost and incomplete.

He likes buying you clothes and watching you try them on

If you wanted a pet (cats are better) he would protest at first out of fear it may distract you from him but end up really liking it once he gets it.

You know how he likes weird food combos? Liam would ask you to try food with him but you’d end up throwing up after eating fish and strawberry cake.

he once did your hair and make up and it was actually really good

•he hates selfish nobles and corrupt rich people who have no regard for other’s wellbeing so if you fall anywhere in that, he’s not gonna wanna be with you, sorry bae 😞

•we all know that William has a messed up sleep schedule. he stays awake late at night frequently only to randomly fall asleep during the day.

•like in that one scene in the anime when William fall asleep on a couch and bond is just confused. I just thought it’d be super cute if you would be sat beside him and his head lands on your thighs as quiet snores come out of his mouth.

•when you two eventually share a bedroom and a queen sized bed, William will make an effort to try and sleep next to you.

•I head-cannon that he can’t fall asleep on demand unless he sleeps beside you. I think he also likes hearing your voice just as he is about to sleep. It’s like a lullaby for him.

•at one point you just start carrying a blanket with you while you’re out with Liam just so if he falls asleep, he can’t get comfortable.

•if you both have similar sleep schedules (you probably do if you’re scrolling through mtp tumblr late at night) then I don’t think there would be much of an issues apart from the two of you being scolded by Louis for not sleeping.

Sometimes Percy wishes the public feud he has with Agnesa was a little more real than it actually is, if only so he wouldn't feel obligated to let her pull him into things. "I'm not sneaking into Madame Pomfrey's office and stealing her logs from twenty years ago."

"I'm not asking you to," Agnesa protests, "I'm asking you to ask your brothers to. They like a challenge."

The worst part is that he knows George and Fred would do it gladly.

Penelope looks up from their potions homework. "I'll do it."

Agnesa's eyes narrow and Percy feels his eyebrows rising. "What do you want in return?"

"You'll find out when I ask for it," she says.

Agnesa scowls, but she must be really serious about this, because she says, "Fine. Nothing that will affect my class standing, though."

"Why are you going through this much effort to find out information about Remus Lupin?" he asks. "I already got you his last known address."

And hadn't that been a fun conversation to have with his father. He's pretty sure his dad had to ask one of his friends in another department to look it up for him, and Percy's not totally comfortable with his part in a misuse of government resources.

"I can't just show up at someone's house and harass them about their dead friends without ammunition," she says hotly. Percy would really prefer if she didn't do that at all. "Pulling his grades and school records are easy enough, but I can't get into the medical records myself."

Technically, she can't get his school records on her own, but the head boy is Troy Thompson, who is also captain of the Slytherin quidditch team and beholden to Agnesa because her tutoring is all that's keeping several members of his team from being forced off.

Marcus Flint probably owes Agnesa his first born or something for helping him pass transfiguration last year.

The Head Girl and Head Boy have access to student records and Troy won't blink an eye at abusing his power to stay on Agnesa's good side.

It's too bad that Agnesa won't let him forget about her being a Slytherin for a single moment. She's pretty cool otherwise.

Later, lying in bed and staring at the ceiling, he asks, "Do you think I bring these sort of things things onto myself?" without giving any sort of context.

"Yeah," Oliver says, voice muffled because of his glowing wand he that has clenched between his teeth. He's still going over quidditch plays even though they have an early class tomorrow.

Sometimes he thinks the people that accuse him of being high strung have just never spent an afternoon with Oliver Wood.

trick or treat 😻🎃☠️

Here’s a silly 5 sentence fragment (jk it was supposed to be a 5 sentence fragment but nvm it’s like 20 lol):

Anakin bolts from the kitchen to the couch with a speed only possible through misuse of the Force.

Obi-Wan would comment on it, if only because he knows how much Anakin resents it when he does so, but he himself is rather preoccupied with the blinking comm sequence in the air.

Ahsoka has not voluntarily reached out to talk with them since the immediate aftermath of the war when she called frantic and rather wounded herself to make sure that they were still alive.

It’s set a rather bad precedent, if Obi-Wan’s being honest—now her name lights up his comm link and all he can think of is has someone almost died once more?

“Well, pick it up, pick it up,” Anakin urges him in the tone of voice of one who is absolutely thinking the same thing.

The blue lighted figure of Ahsoka is small and grainy, as if her connection, wherever she is, is bad.

“Snips!” Anakin says, body like a live wire beside Obi-Wan even as his voice sounds casual. “How are you?”

“Masters,” Ahsoka replies, dipping her head. She’s smiling slightly though her countenance otherwise can only be described as befuddled. “I received a packet of…questions. From a Sheari Flot’inae?”

“Oh wow, that was fast,” Anakin says. “We just gave her your name a few hours ago. Do you have questions about it? She said the packet would be sort of obvious.”

“Right,” Ahsoka says. “So. Just one question actually. Is this a joke or something?”

Her head is tilted to the right and her voice is confused; immediately, Obi-Wan understands she means no harm whatsoever in the asking.

The question stings all the same, and across their open bond, he can feel Anakin’s equal hurt.

“No,” Obi-Wan says carefully, allowing his hands to tighten around each other in his lap where they cannot be seen. “It is not. We, ah. We have recently decided that it would be for the best if we…addressed some of the problems in our relationship. To help us grow as people and partners.”

“Cause walking away isn’t an option,” Anakin adds, voice unreadable. Obi-Wan barely resists the urge to close his eyes.

“Our counselor requested we send her a handful of names that she could contact,” he says quickly. “With a questionnaire similar to one we filled out upon our intake with her. So she can get an outsider’s perspective on our relationship.”

“Right,” Ahsoka says slowly, drawing out the letters. “So this questionnaire is like the one you guys filled out…about your relationship with each other. And I’m supposed to take it seriously.”

“And complete it sober,” Anakin nods. “That’s important.”

Obi-Wan coughs. “It would mean so much to us, Ahsoka, if you were to help us in this. I know—we do not have the right to ask anything of you, that this may just be another burden we are placing on your shoulders unfairly and for our own personal gain, but no one knows us the way you do.” He clears his throat, and anakin’s hand falls to rest against the back of his. “You of all people would know how we are together in our happiest and at our worst. It would mean so much to me if you took this task seriously and with the wisdom and thoughtfulness I have always admired in you.”

“Right,” Ahsoka says. Her cheeks look darker, and Obi-Wan hopes she’s taken his words to heart. “So for question 6, what would you like me to put? Cause I’m not sure I understand why I’m being asked this if this isn’t all just a joke.”

Obi-Wan can feel his confusion mirrored on Anakin’s side of the bond. “What’s question 6?” Anakin asks.

Ahsoka looks down at the sheet of flimsi in her hand. “On a scale of one to five with five being very comfortable, how comfortable would you say the couple is with public displays of affection? For example, have you ever seen them kiss each other in public? If you can remember a specific time, please note.”

She raises her head to look at them, markings where her eyebrows would be if she were human raised high. “I can’t say I remember, Masters, so should I put that you save all the kissing for your quarters or will that make you sound too frigid?”

Do you think Simon would actually be willing to become the Prince Consort tho?! Like yes he LOVES Wille but I don't think he'd ever wanna officially set a foot in that system let alone give up his career for being a working royal

The quick answer is yes, I think he’d thrive. Go read my fic Becoming Prince Simon for details.

The long answer is that I think that just like we tend to make Wilhelm into this social justice prince who’d love being a house husband and hates being a royal, when in fact he is quite comfortable with ignoring staff while he walks past them in a ratty old t-shirt and sweatpants because there’s nothing more normal than living in a palace and having staff cater to him for him, and he actively enjoys ordering Jan-Olof to send him food to the middle of nowhere Hillerska, to name but two examples of how Wilhelm very much doesn’t mind being royal or privileged, and just hates being told what to do or say and having to act like someone he isn’t, Simon, too, isn’t this grand idealist.

Sure he’d like being treated fairly, who doesn't, especially when you always draw the short straw even while following the rules while your classmates get away with breaking them without problem, but the truth is he’s rather pragmatic.

He gets back in contact with his drug addict, alcoholic and to a currently unknown degree abusive father so that he can acquire alcohol for his underage classmates to drink so that Sara can attend a party, and then steals drugs to among other things pay for math tutoring because he wants good grades.

I’m not saying Simon would jump at the chance to join the royal family, but he’d come to see the advantages, and I’m not just talking about him being with Wilhelm, but also all the good he can do. He doesn't need to be a monarchist for that.

So yes, I don’t only think Simon would be willing to become Prince Consort, but that he’d thrive once he got accustomed to the idea.

After all modern day Sweden isn’t Czarist Russia or pre-revolutionary France, you can’t just burn that shit down (and get the Soviet Union or Emperor Napoleon), because that wouldn't work and attempting so would do more harm than good.

You need reform and systematic change, and to change a system you need to interact with it, for example from the inside, and as spouse to the Crown Prince and later King, Simon would be in the ideal position to affect that.

He doesn’t need any actual power to highlight problems and topics important to him or for people to pay attention and listen. It doesn’t always have to be Diana shaking hands with a man with aids in the 80s, it can be something as trivial as the irl second in line opening a fairytale trail in her duchy as a toddler.

What the royal family does (and doesn’t! do) gets publicity and is reported. Simon knows that. He grew up seeing it all the time.

And the people most likely to take note of what the royal family does? Those I dare say are also some of the ones who could do with a bit more exposure to the causes Simon would highlight.

Also not to be mean but give up what career? We know Simon enjoys making music and he wants to get out of small town Bjärstad, but as far as we know he has no great, specific career ambitions he’d have to give up.

I’m gonna end this with a potentially triggering and extreme example, so take care.

When the royal court announced that the irl Swedish crown princess had an eating disorder I was in junior high. I'll always feel sorry for what she had to go through so publicly and it definitely is another point on the list of why monarchies and celebrity culture are the worst, but I also cannot overstate how much good that publicity did when it came to bringing awareness to the topic of eating disorders.

Suddenly that was something that was seriously discussed as an illness by people in power and who otherwise never would have, and not just in a ‘haha those silly teenage girls wanting to look like Kate Moss’ kind of way, because it was the crown princess and not some random pop starlet, and if that can happen to someone like her, then who is to say it can’t also affect our own children etc?

We were taught about it in school, in detail, when my older cousins never were, how to recognize them, how to help, where to go for help. More, there suddenly were places to help, places that were actively advertised which hadn’t been before.

There were clinical programs being opened and awareness campaigns launched, and not just in Sweden. (I’m not saying she was the only reason, it was the late nineties, it was really, really necessary, but she was a big deciding factor when it came to the amount and speed at which things changed)

It sucks that royals and celebrities highlighting important issues can make such a difference, and I’m the first to go yell abolish all systems of inequality irl, but Simon could do a lot of good as a working royal, and he’d actually care about changing things, instead of just finding it a boring necessity like irl royals and the YR royal family including Wilhelm do, which is why I think that in a few years, given time, he would very much be willing to become part of the system if only to bring what change he can, especially when no one else can take his place and do it instead of him.

night walks and playing in the kids playground (also at night), was THE ideal meet ups.

“youve met?” you asked, leaving him to firmly shake his head. “not until this party” you slowly looked him up and down, truly taking in his beauty.

you dont blame her for wanting him, hell who wouldnt when he looks like *that*. you link your elbow with his, closing the gap.

“im glad to see you making new friends!”

“we’ll be more than friends after this~” she chimes, sending him a wink. his polite smile remained, even with the subtly eye twitch only you picked up on.

“oh? i didnt know she was your type” his eyes softened once the two of you made eye contact, his gaze staring at your features.

she scoffed out, crossing her arms and popping a hip.

“can you stop being such a bitch?”

you tilted your head condescendingly, the challenge in your eyes just barely being detected.

“im not being a bitch, am i?” your boyfriend mindlessly shook his head, muttering words of agreement to you. she rolled her eyes, pointing at you accusingly.

“you dont even date! ive been with him *all night* and now youre just.. suddenly into him? dont be jealous.” she clicked her tongue, victory written all over her face. people started looking over in curiosity. whys she yelling? you saw more heads turn, but at this point you could care less.

“jealous?” taerae spoke up, removing his arm from ours before wrapping it around your waist. “i think youre mistaken. theres nothing to be jealous over.” his tone made you dizzy, the smirk on his face making you feel as if you had just fallen for him for the second time.

his extra hand gently held onto your chin, pulling you into a quick kiss. she stared back in disbelief. the grin was long wiped off her face, and replaced by pure rage.

“what! but! when..” her stammering only increased, glancing between the two of you with about a million question swarming through her head.

“youre both absurd” she chokes out, storming herself out of the room. it became increasingly easier to ignore all the eyes glued to the two of you. will you end up regretting it tomorrow? who knows! all you could think about right now was the giddy smile on his face.

“why are you so happy?”

“i finally get to show the world youre mine” he kissed your forehead softly, and now you both shared the same expression.

when you finally give the crowd the time of day, all you did was lazily look side to side, facing him again.

“is this our cue to leave?” you chuckled, watching as he nodded in agreement.

taerae looked around as well, giving everyone a small acknowledging wave. “well be on your way!” he pointed towards the door, leading you out.

Eros 1 Is your OC romantic in the traditional sense? Do they enjoy giving or receiving gifts of flowers or confectionary? Or are there other courtship traditions from their culture of origin that are important to them?

Zell is very much a romantic, and likes to blend gestures of affection from both of the cultures he was raised in. Gifts of flowers are common, but rather than the usual bouquet (or bouquets, in certain cases) he will leave smaller flowers or tiny bundles of flowers and herbs among the belongings of whoever he's courting. If he's genuinely interested in someone, he makes little bone carvings for them*. He doesn't have much of a sweet tooth, so if someone were to gift him with confectionary he'd want to share it with the gifter, partially so it doesn't go to waste and partially to signal his mutual interest. He's really quite subtle compared to traditional courtship, but he feels he's being extremely direct with these gestures. In an ideal situation, he would spend time working with the family of his intended to get to know them better, and to prove he's a good partner.

Eros 3 How do they feel about public displays of romantic affection? Does it make them uncomfortable? How do they feel if a romantic partner kisses them in public?

He's never been in a relationship that included public displays of affection, but is certainly not avoidant of them. He prefers to match his partner's energy; if they're willing, he will go the full Gomez in public with ZERO shame. Otherwise, he's perfectly comfortable with more discreet ways of showing affection in public: little smiles, glances, sharing things, and so on.

A partner who doesn't normally go for public displays of affection kissing him in public will have to accept the risk of him one-upping it into a full romantic dip kiss, he is incorrigible when provoked.

Philautia 2 Does your OC believe that it is important to love themselves in the first instance? Perhaps in order to be able to give and receive love authentically? Or because they believe first and foremost in "looking after number one"?

Ooh this is a. Complicated one for Zell. He puts on a lot of jovially arrogant bravado when he's 'working' but in reality loving himself is an extremely difficult task. He did once, but being conscripted into the Hellknights beat a lot of his self-esteem down into an angry little jagged chunk that is very protective of itself while still not immune to anxiously meditating on the possibility that he was a mistake and is doomed to loneliness and wanting to be treated with kindness is too much to ask. He tries hard to find things to love about himself; it's a process, but he IS trying, even if it's just to spite those that would see him fail.

Philautia 3 Does your OC judge themselves by the same standards as they apply to others? Or are they sometimes hypocritical in condemning others for faults they also possess? Or perhaps they find it easier to forgive others for things that they cannot abide in themselves?

Haha that last one, definitely. He's so very self-deprecating and judgmental of his own self that he can't help but be sympathetic to people who have similar issues. He gets the struggle, gets how much of it is convincing yourself it's worthwhile to keep going. In his heart is the constant war between hope and despair; he champions hope but despair is a truly powerful foe.

*For Daeran, he first made a lotus (in lieu of a swamp), and then Princess Peridot and Baron Feldspar. The latter two he painted to look like their respective stones.

1. Who most initiates PDA?

If the moment is otherwise right, Domon is likely to go for it with little notice or regard for things like being in public! (Don't get me wrong, he can get flustered, especially in the beginning, but "is this a socially appropriate time and place" does not factor into it for him.)

Aside from Domon waking up at the crack of dawn out of habit?

They're both pretty heavy on physical touch, as one might guess. Chibodee also responds shockingly well to words of affirmation

In retrospect, Chibodee will cop to having had a crush since Guyana, though the gals will tell you he was fixated from the first match. But in love? That came with a heartsick sort of gut punch as he found himself hoping that Domon and Rain worked things out even though it hurt to watch, because seeing Domon so upset over her hurt so much worse. Very bittersweet "I want my beloved to be happy".

Domon realizes much later, and more or less all at once. It's a small moment that sets it off, but one that gives him the fleeting thought "I'd be happy to have someone like this by my side", which turns into "...I already do, right here" → "not in that way" → "maybe in that way??" From there the epiphany hits like lightning and he almost can't process it.

8. What’s one way their personalities complement one another?

Okay so "complement" implies not similar traits, but rather different traits that fit together. In that case, I'd say the way their attitudes are sort of the inverse of each other: Domon is serious and melancholy, but deep down is trusting and wants to believe the best of people, where Chibodee keeps things light and devil-may-care, but he's a little more world-weary, a little more easily discouraged. In that way they work as a grounding balance for each other.

9. How are their personalities different?

I mean, Domon's kind of an introvert, isn't he? Or at least easily overstimulated by the pressures of socializing. Whereas in the other corner we've got Chibodee "Social Butterfly" Crockett who almost seems uneasy when alone for very long. There's also an understated city mouse/country mouse thing going on.

10. What are some non-sexual activities they do together?

The obvious would be sparring and other sports, but also like… sometimes they just chat. Chibodee's a talker anyway, Domon is still relearning how to socialize with peers, and there are some cool experiences to share between them.

On that note, hiking. If Domon hadn't already been into nature, he sure is now.

11. Which member is more physically affectionate?

Chibodee moreso at first, and even then not a whole lot because Domon starts out awkward and tsundere. Once he's more comfortable, they're pretty evenly matched! (Mind you, this does depend on the type of physical affection. Hugs and hand-holding come more naturally, where kisses are more loaded even when they're less physical contact.)

12. Which member is more verbally affectionate?

Chibodee's a talker, and this is no exception, but dare I say Domon goes for quality over quantity ;)

13. Which member steals borrows the other one's clothing?

Not sure about actually wearing each other's stuff, but I can see a potentially mutual "our stuff got mixed up and I have your x so I'm just gonna,,, hang onto it while we're apart"

They both have their moments, and "voice of reason" is overstating things, but goddamn if Chibodee doesn't go off half-cocked sometimes

There's plenty to keep them busy, but they can certainly go harder (maybe too hard) on the training to blow off stress. Of course they do what they can to keep in contact, and uhhhh they do attempt video/cybersex. It's a hot mess. Honestly, someone should capitalize on the precepts of the Mobile Trace system to enable long-distance physical contact, it would be revolutionary.

20. Who holds a grudge the longest?

Domon is never living down the way they met, just saying.

21. Which of the two is quick to speak and which one is quick to listen?

They both have to work on listening, or specifically when to listen. Given that they both have a bad habit of shutting themselves down when they should be reaching out, the opening is not always obvious.

22. Who gets more easily embarrassed?

Tricky, but probably Chibodee, being a little more conscious of his image. He's certainly the one who reacts more strongly to embarrassment, anyway.

23. Who overthinks the most?

They both vacillate between "overthink/don't think at all" at times, but this one goes to broody Domon by a long shot

24. Which of the two is the most competitive?

Not only are they both competitive, they actively bring that side out in each other!

25. Who’s the most stubborn?

Oh, now this one's hard!

26. How do they comfort each other?

This is one of those instances where physical touch is very important, just tangibly knowing they're not alone. Letting the other vent (whether physically or verbally) too. Encouraging words are usually called for, even if they're clumsy.

27. What random everyday object/activity makes them think of each other?

Sunrise is definitely associated with Domon. Hearts too. Chibodee is stars and neon lights and bourbon.

28. Do they get along with each other’s friends and family?

Well, I mean, they share a friend group! As far as family, Chibodee is trying his damnedest to get Dr Kasshu to like him, and Domon… well, the gals already know him, but that doesn't mean they won't give him the shovel talk all the same.

29. What is their sex life like?

As I've said before, very intense and a little spiritual, thanks in part to Shuffle Alliance empathy, and “communicating with your fists” translating to other physicality. Their sessions tend to be loud and long (not to say that there are never wham-bam rounds), and you'd be forgiven for finding them half-dressed and out of breath and not knowing whether they'd just banged or sparred.

30. What is their favorite place to kiss the other? (Cheek, hand, closed eyelid, neck, nose, etc.)

Chibodee absolutely kisses Domon's scars, just putting that out there right now. On the other side, don't think Domon hasn't realized the reaction he gets when he goes for the jaw

31. What’s the relationship like? Smooth? Rocky?

You're not gonna get the smoothest sailing with such a high-energy dynamic, but even when it's hard they're ride or die

32. How do they resolve their arguments?

By separating and cooling off, for starters. It really depends on how serious the argument.

33. Who has the most nightmares and how do they deal with them?

They're both prone, I think, though as Chibodee's been getting them most of his life he's more or less prepared when Domon wakes up screaming - hands off until the fight-or-flight wears off, then grounding touch, low voice, cold water, and let him cry it out.

Adding a read more for length:

Eros 3: How do they feel about public displays of romantic affection? Does it make them uncomfortable? How do they feel if a romantic partner kisses them in public?

She’s a huge fan! She won’t resist the opportunity to show off; holding hands or kissing the top of their head/shoulder (when she can reach) are commonplace for her. She’s delighted when a partner kisses her in public and she’ll up the ante by sneaking in a quick nip at their lip if she can.

Affection she considers more vulnerable (mix of personal and cultural preferences) is on the table but she is significantly more reserved in offering it publicly. This includes wrapping an arm around a lover’s arm/waist, offering a kiss to the cheek/forehead/neck, or tasting the first bite of someone else’s food*. As a general rule she’s more willing to accept this kind of ‘vulnerable’ affection in public than she is to extend it.

Philia 3: What qualities does your OC most value in a friend? Loyalty? Shared sense of humour? Or something else?

Ladwyn loves having friends that she can learn from or who possess skills that she doesn’t. Even if she doesn’t pick up the skill herself or persuade them to teach her, she can keep an array of interesting people in her orbit and not feel like they’re competing. Unless she wants to be competing, friendly competitiveness is another thing Ladwyn likes to see from her friends. People who appreciate her sense of humor and enjoy trading banter very quickly become her favorites. Though she wouldn’t admit it, she values people who can push her out of her comfort zone or out of a rut.

Storge 3: How far does parental approval (imagined or expressed) impact upon their current sense of self-worth? What might they sacrifice or attempt to achieve in order to ensure the approval of their parents?

(ooh we got multiple parent questions on this one, that’s a LOADED TOPIC for her)

Parental approval meant everything to Ladwyn when she was younger; a shame because her mothers wanted versions of her that were complete opposites to each other. One mother wanted a child she could grow old with, and the other wanted an heir who proved her own additions to the family legacy were superior to what came before. Ladwyn’s birth name, Niz’dyn, both can be interpreted as ‘potential’ and is the start of her mother Nizranel’s name. That set the tone for her upbringing regardless of what her mother Kelsireen wanted for her. Caught between two opposing forces she yielded to the strongest, loudest voice in the room and worked tirelessly for Nizranel’s approval. Her relationships to her younger sisters and her mother Kelsi suffered and ultimately Ladwyn sacrificed the rest of her childhood years home to attend the same boarding school Nizranel did. Kelsi was gone when she returned, and her younger sisters were older strangers to her.

Ladwyn changed her name after she had her first child and Nizranel was no longer in the picture. It comes from their word for ‘grotto’ and it’s what Kelsi would have named her had she the choice.

Agape 3: To what extent does your OC believe in the value (or even existence) of true altruism? Do they see an unselfish concern for the welfare of others as being naïve or foolish? Or as a moral quality to which people should aspire?

Ladwyn is a big believer in reciprocal altruism because it genuinely feels more communal to her.** Everyone needs something and if they don’t right that second there’s a favor to be called in later. If someone performs a selfless act for her without asking for anything in return she will find something to return. To do otherwise would be to admit she doesn’t have anything of equal value to offer and she can’t have that. Then there’s the possibility that making a selfless gesture backfires because it could be interpreted as a boast that nothing she could offer would equal their aid/resources.

Ludus 3: How does your OC feel about one night stands? Have they ever enjoyed a night of passionate romance with a stranger? Is this something they are quite keen on recreationally? Or only something they might engage in under specific circumstances (such as the eve of a battle or after a difficult breakup)?

Ladwyn is no stranger to casual sex (she got well-acquainted attending her all-girls boarding school and women’s college) but one night stands are rare for her. There were one-night-only flings in university before a visiting student went home or while she studied abroad, but that came down to scheduling more than anything else. She needs an occasion for indulging in a one-night-stand where she has no intention of seeing the other person again. Past examples include, ‘it’s my first birthday since my kid moved out and I deserve a treat’, ‘why the fuck did I go back to grad school’, and ‘that bitch is my EX-wife now, drinks are on me’.

Pragma 3: Are your OC's parents still together? To what degree do they look to their own parents as a model for their own ideal relationship?

Hahahahahahahaha no. Ladwyn has spent a lot of energy (and therapy, depending on the setting) making sure that her post-divorce relationships are as unlike her mothers’ marriage as possible. She has no intention of forcing another person into the same kind of all-sacrificing, subservient role that her nurse-mother Kelsireen occupied, though her birth mother Nizranel would remind her that it’s her right as the future head of household. Ladwyn held on to a lot of hurt after Kelsi left without her and her sisters; she took after Kelsi the most in appearance and Nizranel took care to make sure she didn’t inherit Kelsi’s weaknesses as well. This led to her incredibly ruinous first marriage where she and her (now ex) wife chafed against the roles placed on them hand in unlovable hand.

In settings where Ladwyn and Kelsi are able to reconcile, Ladwyn credits Kelsi for helping her become more of her own person and forgive herself for the ways in which she is still her birth mother’s daughter.

Now that Nizranel is dead, Ladwyn has taken her position of her harshest critic and she is determined to be better at it. However exacting she comes across to others, she is ten times as hard on herself for the same things. Being raised to believe she was superior to other people by virtue of being her mother’s daughter did more than just give her an unshakable air of imperiousness, it set an idea deep in her mind that she needed to be more than the qualities her mother valued highest. More ambitious, but also more content. More exacting, yet more forgiving. If you think this has given her A Complex, you are incredibly correct.

*my own take on Drow culture- if an action puts the person performing the action at a tactical disadvantage by exposing a weak spot or limiting range of motion, or implies a strong degree of trust between both parties, it’s a lot more significant to perform where other people can see.
