THE STORY :

Anton grew up as a helper. From helping his family to helping the rest of the community, he only ever felt as though he was doing something worthwhile when he was helping others. That ache to provide for his community aided him well in the development of Sanctuary. The Wall would not have been possible without Anton’s original plans. A man with an innovative mind, he kept the idea of a perfect town in his mind for years and considered himself lucky that he was able to help it come to fruition upon the founding of Sanctuary.

After losing his wife and child to the Upyr several years back, Anton devoted the rest of himself to improving the quality of life and safety of his tribe. For Anton, the tribe came above everything and embodied the belief that everyone is needed to help the group survive. His work on the Wall consumed most of his time, constantly checking the three-mile long perimeters and when Ayanna proposed interacting with the supernatural beings through emissaries, he passively opposed the plan, refraining to give his consent. When the supernatural community eventually agreed to join the Wall had to come down, and all of Anton’s hard work with it. He became scornful of their mere presence, but trusted in his Keeper to show him the right way.

Anton is unafraid of confronting the supernatural beings physically, without regard for his own safety. His hot-head makes it difficult for him to see the diplomatic reasoning behind the merge of communities. Though he’s still loyal to the tribe and Ayanna, he does not mince words when it comes to expressing his displeasure about having the share the living space with the very beings who were responsible for the death of his wife and son.

Anton’s loyalty to Sanctuary survived a most challenging test when the people they’ve decided to shelter turned against the Upyr. He remained staunch in his position at the Keeper’s side, assuming a leadership role despite having only recently recovered from severe injuries from an attack by the very beings he now found himself compelled to defend.

THE STORY :

The Petrescu and Vasilescu families had been comrades-in-arms for generations leading up to the Plague and the birthing of the Hollow Throne. Though no one alive could remember the time before, that bond and camaraderie persisted long into the world post-Plague and formed a strong brotherhood between young Costin and his mentor Darius. Costin grew up young and idealistic when it came to his perception of the Upyr people. He believed that, like himself, everyone was putting forth their best effort to ensure the Hollow Throne stood strong.

It wasn’t until Costin was told by Darius about Gabriel Albescu’s treachery involving his illegitimate claiming of the throne that he began to doubt the resolve of his fellows. He became jaded, often speaking of a possibility for a better future for his people, but found no way to change their fate until Sanctuary became a reality. Suddenly, Costin believed, they had a fighting chance at true survival, rather than huddling around the Hollow Throne like carrion beetles.

It is because of his high sense of honor that Costin could not respect Gabriel as his King. He finds himself drawn to Darius’ willingness to persevere for the good of the Upyr people regardless of how the throne was stolen from him. While not entirely obsessed with the idea of Upyr superiority, Costin recognizes the need for Sanctuary as a device to help his species further their reach into the world and continuation into history. He considers himself a champion for the Upyr people while still being open to new ideas in order to make their lives easier and their survival in the changing world possible.

As Sanctuary recovers from the storm and the Upyr people recover from the attack upon them, Costin is unsure of how to feel about the change in Upyr monarchy. While he is glad that Darius’ usurper no longer holds the crown, he fears Queen Milena might be a far more formidable foe to deal with.

Despite his young age, he was seen as the next successor of the Hollow Throne due not only to his exemplary behavior, but also because the current King was his first cousin.

The King fell ill and welcomed death while Darius was on a hunt, and rather than being welcomed back as the next in line, he witnessed his cousin Gabriel take the crown that was rightfully his. The younger Upyr was caught in the middle of a silent civil war; those who supported his unsung claim to the throne were dealt with swiftly, all without Gabriel batting an eye. Some would be mysteriously killed on a hunt, or simply vanish in the night and never return. To save his own skin, Darius publicly denounced any claim he might have had and pledged his full support to the current King. Out of feigned kindness, Darius was granted a seat on Gabriel’s inner council, for despite their feud he was still an Upyr the people looked up to. It was only natural for him to offer to accompany his King to Sanctuary.

He keeps his cards close to his chest, and not even his fellow Upyr know his motivations at any given time. Though Darius pledges his loyalty to the Bone Queen he has never forgotten how power was stolen from him in the dead of night and intends to make right of it no matter the cost. Even if he means he has to turn his back on his people and work with the other species to get what is rightfully his. He is a firm believer in ‘silence is golden,’ rarely revealing his intentions to the Queen herself.

THE STORY :

Things were always expected of Noah even when he was just a child. He was born into a family that was known for producing some of the finest warriors and protectors of their human tribe. His family brought him up to continue the family legacy from the moment he was able to carry a training weapon. It was a fate that he had possessed a natural ability too and had adapted to the training from even a young age. Strong for both his size and age, Noah had been shaping up to become one of his generations’ best for the tribe. However, everything changed the moment his affinity manifested itself.

Months after his seventeenth birthday, his gift of telekinesis manifested in a surprising way. A fellow tribesman’s attempt at concentrating fire to use as a weapon against their enemies got out of hand and resulted in a wave of fire moving towards the trainees. Noah’s telekinesis manifested at that moment by holding back the flames in a small radius around himself and pushing the fire back once he exerted himself fully. The resulting drain had rendered him unconscious and his fate was decided during the hours that he remained so. The tribe’s leaders had determined to remove him from the people and his family fully supported the motion. Noah was only given a few hours after waking to take what little he had and leave before being forced out.

For nearly a year Noah was wandering on his own learning how to survive and to do with with a power he had no idea how to control or how dangerous it could be when used on a target. However, he eventually ran into a small group of five other individuals half of which were themselves Wickeds with their own abilities. For years he wandered with them, trained with them, and became something resembling a family with these people. However, the day came when a group of others came, each with a stronger tie to the supernatural world than a single Wicked. Noah himself had temporarily held back a strong vampire by reinforcing himself with his telekinesis and managed to crush another. However, his extensive and prolonged used of his power had eventually taken its toll and he had weakened enough to be overwhelmed like the others. Unlike them however, he survived the assault but only just.

He found his way to Sanctuary where he was allowed in to recover. He has been there ever since staying within the Human Community and generally away from the intrigue of the supernatural courts. However, being able to sense what he is and his strength, he has been approached and at times, watched though, not well enough if he is aware of it.

THE STORY :

Zak grew up a quiet young boy into a quiet young man. While he preferred to keep to himself rather than play with other children, he was always a hard worker and empathetic to the plight of his fellow people. He never considered it strange that he knew certain things by looking into people’s minds. As their tribe had never seen a Wicked child before, they weren’t looking for any signs of one, and thus his ability stayed in the dark.

When Ayanna was named as Keeper, Zak believed he could trust in his childhood friend to understand that he wasn’t a danger to anyone, and to keep his secret. Ayanna, while surprised by his admission, believed that Zak’s kindhearted nature would win over any evil his magic could bear, and told no one else. When Sanctuary became a home to all species, Zak asked Ayanna to become the Tribe Wicked in an effort to protect his family.

While his status as a Wicked is now common knowledge, his affinity is not. The only one to know Zak is a mind-reader is Ayanna, though the other Wickeds are suspicious of his all-knowing personality. Despite this, he rarely uses his ability beyond when he is asked by the Keeper. Zak is more content to help in keeping Sanctuary safe rather than telling everyone’s secrets to the world, though he is unafraid of using them against someone, showing a darker side to his seemingly innocent nature.

THE STORY :

There was never a time that he could recall where he cared for anything or anyone more than himself and all that Mikel had done in his life was for the simple pursuit of survival. When his tribe abandoned him when his affinity for fire first became apparent, he was only seven. He lived only because his will to live outmatched all others and his powers became useful when it came to hunting and stealing.  For years, he fought tooth and nail to stay three steps ahead of Death’s hunt until he was confronted by a group of vampires. Mikel demolished them one by one, flames leaving them as piles of ash before the one he hadn’t been aware of knocked him out. It was then that a thirteen year old human Mikel was brought before the king of vampires…and lived to tell the tale.

Mikel was one of the rare cases in which a Wicked found a way to survive alone. At a young age he discovered his affinity for fire and set half of his tribe’s camp ablaze. Fearing for their lives, they knocked him unconscious and left hastily, so that when Mikel awoke he was the only being for miles. Scavenging from wild animals and stealing from other camps in the night kept him alive until young adulthood, where he was found by a hunting party of Vampires. He managed to set most of them on fire, leading to their deaths, but one caught him from behind and, not unlike his first family, dragged him unconscious to the Blood Court.

Wolfgang was surprised at the young Mikel’s fire, both in personality and ability, and offered him a chance to prove himself worthy enough to stay by the Blood King’s side. The Wicked soon realized it was his only chance at survival and agreed, and soon his power bolstered the King’s reins on his people. He grew up surrounded by ferocious immortals but could keep them at bay with a single glance, and thus maintained a steady power within Vampire Court. The idea of Sanctuary repulsed him, as he had grown quite used to the Vampire way of life, but he wasn’t given a choice in staying at Wolfgang’s side.

Mikel is as untamed as the Vampires who have raised him. He enjoys using his abilities to torture and maim, and considers himself lucky to be in the position of power he is over the rest of the Vampire community. While he doesn’t consider himself superior to them, he does make it a point to remind them that he could kill anyone with a flick of his hand. Because he relies so much on his affinity, his abilities in other forms of spells are lacking, making him dependent on fire for both personal and political survival. He hates the Upyr as much as his King does, but only because he sees them as standing in the way of his power flourishing.

He would do just about anything to be caught on the winning side of things because the winning side was the one left alive at the end of it all. When Sanctuary was established and the one he’d pledged loyalty to, the mighty Blood King himself, decided to take part, Mikel seethed quietly; with no one to kill or threaten, he was as much use as an ornamental weapon.

His travelling tribe were knowledge brokers, scavenging books and manuals from ruins. As a result, he was literate and had a favorite book that he was allowed to keep, an introductory textbook on engineering (no one ever settled down enough to ever really use the principles within so it was considered somewhat worthless). A minor Upyr house decided they wanted their stock without paying so they killed and ate the adults, kept the books and children. He convinced the Upyr to not kill him if he kept the clockwork toys and gadgets they had collected working. 

Each week, they would tell him that they would eat them and each week something new would break (he would sneak out of his cell). They would promise him a weeks reprieve if he fixed it. Eventually it became a routine, captives would come and go but he would stay alive. He convinced them to let him have free rein in their library, to better aid in keeping their minor machines working.

Eventually, the house fell out of favor, owed a greater house a great deal of money. The greater house came to collect their due and rather than turn over their precious machines, they gave them all of their human stock, including Reginmund. Outraged at the betrayal, realizing that he was of less worth to them than their precious machines, when the vampires raided the convoy between the Upyr strongholds, he gladly bared his neck and begged Wolfgang for either death or turning.

He collects books whenever he can, primarily engineering and scientific texts but not history or anything like that. His own personal quarters are filled with books and half-built, half-repaired simple mechanical items. His anger has cooled to indifference towards the Upyr. The knowledge that their machines would break without him and that he would outlive them, gain even more knowledge than they ever could in a lifetime. Sometimes he even day dreams that perhaps these simple little mechanical projects might even become a benefit to his people. Till then they help pass his time when his King is otherwise occupied. He won’t eat children but he also won’t stop others from doing so, knowing that they would no longer have to experience the pain and terror that he had lived with. He considers it, if anything, a mercy killing.

THE STORY :

Wolfgang was the youngest of the three sons of the former Blood King Arcturus. After their maker was killed in single combat with Venera Zolnerowich, his will bequeathed his throne to whomever of his sons could kill the others. Thus they were thrown into a pit and forced to fight to the death as the whole Vampire Court cheered on. Wolfgang emerged victorious, covered in the blood of his family, and wore it as a cloak of triumph for nearly three moons. He vowed to build his court into a vast, formidable power that would make the Upyr tremble in fear. This promise began with the Blood Hunts: vicious raids on Human tribes that ended in the entire tribe being turned into more soldiers for the Blood King’s army.

Within half a century of his reign the Vampire population, and territory with it, had nearly doubled. He laughed at the idea of Sanctuary, only standing to gain from the Humans’ failure at settling down. But when whispers came to him that the Bone King had agreed to aid in the endeavor, Wolfgang grew worried. Paranoia spread from his mind and into his court like a disease and soon everyone was saying the same thing–if the Upyr had agreed to step down from their place of power, perhaps the situation was more dire than it appeared. It was that pressure that surrendered Wolfgang into agreeing to Sanctuary’s conditions.

The Vampires that Wolfgang has brought with him to Sanctuary are not there willingly. While they want to survive, they despise the terms of what feels like their surrender. And Wolfgang hears their pleas, their cries of hunger. To him, the rules of Sanctuary are more guidelines that must be treated as all rules within the Blood Court are; do what you want so long as you don’t get caught, and be prepared to face the consequences if you do. He is the most stubborn of the Tribunal and the most frequent to allow severe infractions to go unpunished. He seeks for a way to dismantle Sanctuary while also keeping his people safe from the death that awaits them should humanity perish. Like his fellow leaders, Wolfgang is there to play the long game, thinking only of the Vampires under his charge.

THE STORY :

Parnus’ life began waking up in a cave in the middle of a frozen tundra. He remembered nothing of how he got there, or if anyone had been with him; all he knew was a name that he assumed was his own. On the verge of starvation he journeyed out into the world in the hopes of finding his identity. Months of travel led him across the paths of multiple Human tribes, all of which perished at the feet of his hunger. With each life he took, Parnus felt as though he was losing a part of himself despite not knowing what that part was.

Eventually he settled on a system that allowed him to stay alive, but weakened. He would find a tribe in the night and feign injury and ask for only water and shelter. While many were wary of a nomad coming so close to their camp, there were few who offered him a bedroll to rest in. From there, Parnus would feed on the sleeping occupants until he was kept just at the brink of starvation and disappear before morning light. Whether the tribe knew he was a vampire or not mattered little to him; the world was vast enough that he would likely never see them again.

He came into Vampire territory nearly a year after his mysterious awakening. At first, Parnus was glad to finally meet his own kind in the hopes that he could find a community for himself. That dream was soon shattered as he was brought to the Blood King’s Court. When asked by King Wolfgang who his maker was, Parnus was unable to recall a face or even a name. Immediately the Court was distrustful, and no one stepped forward to claim him into their family. Disgusted by their savagery and their actions, the lone vampire left and turned his back on Vampire society. He believed being alone was better than being an animal.

But his hunger refused to abate, and the further West he went, the fewer tribes he came across. Pretending and sneaking away became a harder task, as the tribes he encountered were used to attacks from both Vampires and Upyr. Eventually Parnus began to accept that there may have been nothing he could do to keep himself from starving to death.

Salvation came in the name Sanctuary. Parnus came across the settlement at the break of dawn and begged to be allowed in. He was forthcoming about being a Vampire and begged for only a drop of blood  to keep him living, and shelter from the rising sun. Though Keeper Ayanna was initially skeptical of his intentions, she had already extended a hand to both Kings and saw turning him away as a backhanded gesture. From then on, Parnus never left. He was put to work in helping Sanctuary build, in return for donated blood, and accepted the work generously. For the first time since waking, he felt as though he had a purpose in his life. And despite eventually being joined by the very Vampires who refused him, Parnus considered Sanctuary his first true home.

Parnus spends very little time thinking of his amnesia. Though he has considered attempting to enlist a Wicked’s aid in recalling them, he’s decided against it in favor of thinking forward and ahead. He feels drawn towards the other Vampires of Sanctuary, but chocks it up to a primordial instinct of belonging rather than a true desire to join them, especially with how they treated him before. He finds the Blood King deplorable and prefers instead to be in the company of the Humans, even going to far as to consider himself one of them despite everything.

CONNECTIONS :

Zak the Teller : Parnus enjoys Zak’s near-silent company as opposed to the constant arguing that goes on in the day-to-day life of Sanctuary. He hopes eventually to build up enough of a friendship to ask the young man to use his abilities as a Wicked to help Parnus discover who he is and what happened to his memories.

Ayanna Cadeyrn : He’s grateful to the Keeper for allowing him despite his lack of allegiance to the Vampires. Parnus chooses to submit to her word and decisions rather than that of the Blood King.

Kellen Shoar-Child : Out of all of the Vampires, Kellen is the one that piques Parnus’ interest the most. He hopes that maybe her long life experience will be able to help him recover fragments of himself.

THE STORY :

At a young age, Kaheer’s birth mother died in a landslide, but it was soon after that Kaheer discovered his affinity, for he could see her lurking in the shadows. He revealed this information to his mother’s partner–who became irrational and terrified of him. In the dead of night she led Kaheer into the mountains near their camp and, after waiting for him to fall asleep, left him for dead. After several days and nights of wandering, starving alone in the wilderness, Kaheer feared he would perish alone with nothing but his mother’s ghost as a witness. It was then that he was discovered by the Wandering Wickeds.

Wickeds having come together in a pseudo-Tribe led by one of their own, the Wanderers took Kaheer in as one of their own. At first he was grateful for their kindness and compassion, but watched it turn to ash in his mouth. After an attack by Scavengers, Kaheer took a life and discovered that murder by his own hands made his powers grow stronger. The Wanderer Keeper grew greedy at this, and began to bring weekly Humans to be murdered by Kaheer to harness his “gift.” At first Kaheer resisted, but the Keeper was ruthless and violent, and Kaheer had no choice but to relent and obey.

Along came Jaael; a telekinetic Wicked who ran away from her Tribe to save them from her affinity. She was put “in charge” of Kaheer, who by then had been so mentally broken and bruised by the Wanderers that he barely left his tent. But it was Jaael’s kindness and determination that put a life back inside of him, and together they stole away from the Wanderers and into the night. For six months they hid from the other Wickeds and roamed the Wilderness, surviving the raging storm by the skin of their teeth. They happened upon Sanctuary on their last legs and begged for refuge, and were granted it only just. While Jaael spends her days toiling away at fixing the town, Kaheer prefers to hide in plain sight, hoping to never have to harm anyone ever again.

THE STORY :

Rayyad was born to an unusually large tribe to the Northern coastlands; a tribe filled with conviction to survive and a love for one another. They didn’t have strict familial boundaries and instead chose to raise their children together and with a sense of community. And Rayyad, from the moment he could understand what words like “community,” and “togetherness” meant, hated it with every fibre of his being. He despised working to better everyone and could not fathom why anyone wasn’t out for themselves in the world. There was no strange, random encounter in his life that made him such a way, or any tragic event that ruined his faith in the others. He was simply against it, and lived to be that way until he ran away from his tribe at the age of sixteen. He found his solace in an old Human ruin; amidst the cold broken metal and the echoing silence and emptiness, Rayyad found that he could truly be at peace.

But that peace came with the price of his sanity. The person who was once Rayyad, no matter how distant from his fellow Humans he was before, went mad. He claimed the ruins as his own and killed any stray that wandered into his path. Humans were easy prey–but it was the supernatural beings who were more of a trick. A confrontation with an Upyr nearly left him without an arm, and falling asleep unguarded one night almost turned him into Vampire feed. But with every strained battle won, Rayyad grew stronger and smarter. And when the hunt was hard to come by for one harsh wintered reason or another, he adapted like all wild creatures; he began to eat his kills. If it was natural for the Upyr, why wouldn’t it be natural for him? Such was his thought process, and then his intention.

After losing track of the passing of years and his sense of self, Rayyad became a creature of mystery to tribes that made their way too close to Northern coastal ruins. Human runners spread word of the monster in the ruins and no more did they come to him. Supernaturals seeking a challenge tried, but only packs could ever hope to take him down. An entire Blood Hunt was sent after him, and though it took a fortnight to complete, Rayyad mounted each and every head on a pike outside of his “kingdom” when he finished devouring their hearts.

Eventually word of his actions spread into the heart of the Blood Court itself. It was the Blood Hunt to prove that no Human could match the prowess of the Vampire species. King Wolfgang Arcturus-Child led the charge himself with a pack of only one other; his first born Ragar. Wolfgang believed nothing of the rumours about Rayyad and wanted to prove that it would take nothing more than two Vampires to take down a measly Human who had gone too far off the beaten track. Their Hunt took two nights before Rayyad’s cocky behaviour got him captured. But Wolfgang expected to capture a man and captured an animal instead. Seeing Rayyad snarling, gnashing blood-stained teeth at him; it inspired the King to make his third-born.

Rayyad took to being a Vampire like nothing else. He still included his old habits into his new Hunts and learned many more. Though he locked himself away and despised the notion of belonging as much as he had when he was mortal, he still served his King as he was told. Unfortunately his efforts were too bloody to earn him a chance at his father’s side on the journey to Sanctuary; instead leaving him sequestered in his chambers and wherever the Blood Hunts took him. But after word spread to the Court about the efforts of the rogue Human Keeper, Rayyad decided it would only be just and proper of him to come to his father’s… aid.

CONNECTIONS :

Wolfgang Arcturus-Child (taken) : Rayyad both respects and detests his King, father, and Maker. He enjoyed and loved his life living alone in the ruins but Wolfgang decided to “gift” him the life of a Vampire, and now he can never get a moment alone. And while he enjoys being worshiped rather than being a part of the common rabble; Rayyad enjoys causing trouble for his father more than siding with him.

Aurora Wolfgang-Child (taken) : Rory is probably the only one of his siblings Rayyad can tolerate. She’s the youngest, which means she’s the most impressionable. There’s a reason Wolfgang tries to keep them apart--but Rayyad always finds a way t give his darling “princess” of a little sister what she wants. Even if it means a severed head on a platter.

Ragar Wolfgang-Child (open) : Rayyad respects Ragar’s climb for power, but he hates his eldest sibling’s methods. He prefers madness to methods full stop, and so Rayyad and Ragar will always butt heads unless there’s a meal shared between them.

THE STORY :

The only of his line of Upyr, Gabriel Albescu ascended to the Hollow Throne in 2232 after the untimely death of the previous King. As the youngest man to hold the title, Gabriel was obsessed with making his mark on the world. He closed the gates of the Court, restricting all travel to the outside world to the lower caste of hunters; gave more freedoms to those within his inner circle; and granted a Wicked a seat at the side of his Throne, a previously unheard of gesture.

While he sat on a sturdy throne and assured his subjects that their way of superior life was secure, the world seemed intent to crumble around him and prove him wrong. Human tribes ventured into Upyr territory less and less, and his people that had been starving for half a century were growing restless. Gabriel refused to be the last Bone King–the reason his people died out. When he was approached by Keeper Ayanna Cadeyrn about the possibility of uniting three fronts against the inevitable extinction of all, he laughed in her face and cast her out. It was not until his Wicked, Elise, came to him bearing a prophecy of Upyr destruction that he began to consider the Humans’ offer. With great reluctance, the Upyr community joined Sanctuary.

Gabriel has traveled with his entourage to live in Sanctuary for the foreseeable future. Ayanna’s rules regarding how the Upyr are supposed to live stirs dissent among his people, but Gabriel’s faith in Elise’s vision overpowers any objections he may have. Already he has lowered himself to allowing his people to mix with their food; the thought of watching them all die around him would be an insult to his pride he could not bear. He serves as a part of the Tribunal, forced to work alongside Ayanna and the Blood King in order to find a relatively peaceful means of coexistence for their peoples that eliminates any future worry of extinction. Should the idea of Sanctuary succeed, Gabriel would rather be on the inside rather than shut out from the rest of the world. He keeps Elise close to his side, heeding her whispers of the future and the disasters to come.

THE STORY :

Zak grew up a quiet young boy into a quiet young man. While he preferred to keep to himself rather than play with other children, he was always a hard worker and empathetic to the plight of his fellow people. He never considered it strange that he knew certain things by looking into people’s minds. As their tribe had never seen a Wicked child before, they weren’t looking for any signs of one, and thus his ability stayed in the dark.

When Ayanna was named as Keeper, Zak believed he could trust in his childhood friend to understand that he wasn’t a danger to anyone, and to keep his secret. Ayanna, while surprised by his admission, believed that Zak’s kindhearted nature would win over any evil his magic could bear, and told no one else. When Sanctuary became a home to all species, Zak asked Ayanna to become the Tribe Wicked in an effort to protect his family.

While his status as a Wicked is now common knowledge, his affinity is not. The only one to know Zak is a mind-reader is Ayanna, though the other Wickeds are suspicious of his all-knowing personality. Despite this, he rarely uses his ability beyond when he is asked by the Keeper. Zak is more content to help in keeping Sanctuary safe rather than telling everyone’s secrets to the world, though he is unafraid of using them against someone, showing a darker side to his seemingly innocent nature.

Ayanna Cadeyrn : Being close friends since childhood, Zak would trust Ayanna with his life. Being the key figure in helping him come to terms with his gift, he is forever grateful to her. When she became Keeper and allowed him to become the Tribe Wicked, he was enthused by the opportunities it presented him. He would use his telepathy for her if he thought it would further their cause; but even he would refuse if he thought it was unnecessary, though that was rarely the case as Ayanna knew how he felt about sharing knowledge of his gift.

Parnus Dark-Child : Zak enjoys the presence of the vampire more than any other of his kind, as he seems like a saint in comparison. He believes that Parnus can help him achieve his ultimate goal, with the inclusion of the supernatural. Does the Wicked trust him fully? THE STORY :

Anton grew up as a helper. From helping his family to helping the rest of the community, he only ever felt as though he was doing something worthwhile when he was helping others. That ache to provide for his community aided him well in the development of Sanctuary. The Wall would not have been possible without Anton’s original plans. A man with an innovative mind, he kept the idea of a perfect town in his mind for years and considered himself lucky that he was able to help it come to fruition upon the founding of Sanctuary.

After losing his wife and child to the Upyr several years back, Anton devoted the rest of himself to improving the quality of life and safety of his tribe. For Anton, the tribe came above everything and embodied the belief that everyone is needed to help the group survive. His work on the Wall consumed most of his time, constantly checking the three-mile long perimeters and when Ayanna proposed interacting with the supernatural beings through emissaries, he passively opposed the plan, refraining to give his consent. When the supernatural community eventually agreed to join the Wall had to come down, and all of Anton’s hard work with it. He became scornful of their mere presence, but trusted in his Keeper to show him the right way.

Anton is unafraid of confronting the supernatural beings physically, without regard for his own safety. His hot-head makes it difficult for him to see the diplomatic reasoning behind the merge of communities. Though he’s still loyal to the tribe and Ayanna, he does not mince words when it comes to expressing his displeasure about having the share the living space with the very beings who were responsible for the death of his wife and son.
