🌕The Bedrooms of the Moon Signs🌕
Pandorasworkshop
Okay so the moon rules the fourth house which is the house of comfort, mother and the home. So looking at people's moon signs is a great way to grasp what their bedroom may look like or what they feel comfortable in. Disclaimer: aspects other fourth house placements and what house ur moon is can affect this.
Tumblr media
Moon in Aries: neat and organized or veryyy chaotic, they may have a little corner of their room dedicated to an interest of theirs. Some friends have dumbbells in their rooms as well. Whatever house their moon is in may show be more prominent in their room. Do you guys know those pretty minimal rooms on Pinterest (not the beige) thats what this placement reminds me of and also very chaotic rooms where there are collage walls.
Moon in Taurus: they payyy attention to the little things, they know what they like a value being comfortable, some of my friends with this placement spend a little more on their rooms to make sure everything is up to their standards. Usually have nice bedsheets too. Think nice fabrics. Most likely to have a mini fridge in their room. Their rooms always have a luxurious undertone even if that's not their aesthetic.
Moon in Gemini: techy room three friends of mine have an Alexa in their room and two have a record player. May spend money on gadgets for their room. Naomi Campbell has this placement and her house is literally the shape of an eye. Most likely to focus on lighting in their rooms (led, sunlight lamps, fairy lights). Lot of kpop fans with this placement. Could have multiple journals or sketchbooks all around their room. Tall windows.
Moon in cancer: they like being cozy, literally every single person I know with this placement has a veil hanging from above their bed. Ambient lighting and the starlight projectors. Appealing to all the senses to feel comfortable is important to them. May use candles, diffusers, or incense. Stashes food in their room. Weighted blankets. If they aren't doing well their rooms show their emotions. Most likely to have stuffed animals on their bed.
Moon in Leo: whatever hobbies they have you WILL absolutely know once you step foot in their room. One friend of mine with this placement is a guitarist has seven guitars/banjos/bass hanging on her walls plus pedals and amps all her posters are of bands. Another friend is an artist she paints and likes to bejewel stuff those shiny rhinestones are EVERYWHERE and her walls are painted with her art. Another friend is a nail tech/makeup artist all the tables In her room are filled with supplies and makeup. Look in the cabinet oh more nails. I feel like these placements pets love to hangout in their rooms as well.
Moon in Virgo: their rooms tend to be very organized. Many influencers online who tend to do those organized videos tend to have this placement. Most likely to have one of those carts that wheel around and are a container. Two friends with this placement both have veryyy coordinated bookshelves. Bullet journal and they may have lots of pretty pens. Anything they buy for their room is always useful. Tend to be plant parents as well and a friend and my cousin with this placement both have a yoga mat surrounded by plants. HIDDEN CABINETS. You can tell where they are mentally through their rooms. Really polished rooms even without trying.
Moon in Libra: may have had to host people a lot in their rooms so their rooms have multiple chairs. Their room either looks straight out of a catalog or there is clothes thrown EVERYWHERE. May have a specific area in their room they get ready in. May have framed photos of their loved ones or Polaroids. If they get flowers from somebody they may incorporate them into their room decor by putting them in a vase or drying them. Libra is ruled by Venus so their rooms always like pretty and almost refreshing.
Moon in Scorpio: every single person I know with this placement is metal/goth 😭 really living up to the stereotype. But Scorpio rules the 8th house and 8th house is about secrets, occult and obsession. Many of my friends with this moon placement when they have it they reallyyy lean into their aesthetic. All five of my friends have their walls covered with things and a typically goth aesthetic they really lean into. Something though I feel like is not talked about with Scorpio is their lighter side. Scorpios sister sign is Taurus and Taurus is very light. Both of these signs can embody one another. A girl on tiktok has a Scorpio moon and Venus and her room is very coquette but her walls are still covered with all sorts of things and she really leans into her style.
Moon in Sagittarius: might have a lot of funny things in their room or just plain out strange things. A friend with this placement has road signs all over his room, a random urinal(don't ask me how he got it idk), life size Bigfoot cutout, and a singular poster of the movie white chicks. Another friend with this placement is really well traveled and she has all the cool souvenirs from all over the world and collects them, she also has a few of those educational posters that are pretty.
Moon in Capricorn: antique but not antique in the way Pisces can be. Lots of nice wood furniture, maybe a bit of a masculine undertone with neutral colors. Moody style and coloring. Capricorn is the sister sign to cancer so their rooms are also very cozy. Whimsigoth or academic. Neutral colors or colors that are darker in shades. Knit blankets remind me of this placement. Leather reminds me of this placement as well. Think of retro made new.
Moon in aquarius: do you guys know those blue/white futuristic technological themed rooms people have on tiktok. That's what this placement reminds me of. People I know with this placement tend to have nice ass pc set ups. You may like to sleep in the cold so they can be extra warm in their blankets. Rooms may be more minimal. Nice wallpaper with celebrities who have this placement.
Moon in Pisces: Antiques but in that almost magical way. Women on tiktok with this placement have these beautiful gold gilded mirrors. My friend has this gorgeous antique wardrobe. Most likely to thrift their decor. Florals remind me of this placement. If this person is really religious or really spiritual then you'll know when you go into their room. One of my friends is Christian and her room is filled with beautiful antique crosses. Another friend is Hindu and she has a nice altar in her room. If this person is a smoker they might have decor that relates to that. Witch friend has a lot of themed decor like moon shelves and a whole bookshelf dedicated to her craft. Pisces rules twelfth house which rules religion, substances, and spirituality. Pisces is also the oldest sign.

Slow Dance With Me? | n.r. x w.m.
Tumblr media
Pairing: Natasha Romanoff x Wanda Maximoff
Warnings: fluff, smut, blow job, natasha has an enchanted strap on (courtesy of Wanda ofc), breeding kink, pregnancy scare-ish
Word count: 3,782
Summary: this is based on the request "Wanda and Natasha dancing to that Filipino song, Mabagal. Wanda not understanding the lyrics so Natasha whispers her the translation (cus homegirl probably knows a lot of languages)đŸ˜©đŸ«¶đŸ˜đŸ€Œ"
A/N: so uhhh I discovered that I sucked at translation because of this. But I added a little something at the end to somehow compensate for the lack of the end part of your request? @delulu-with-wandanat 👉👈đŸ„ș
╰┈➀ Masterlist
It was one of those rare days in the compound when none of them were away on missions. Wanda seized the opportunity to delve into American music, a quest to immerse herself further in the culture of her newfound home. Vision lent a hand in this musical discovery, assisting her in selecting vinyl records and even procuring the necessary equipment. Surprisingly, the android displayed an unexpected knack for online shopping, a talent that Wanda happily exploited, particularly since Vision discreetly charged their purchases to Stark's account. Given Stark's vast wealth, a missing hundred dollars or more would go unnoticed on his financial radar.
"Darling, there's no need to buy every single vinyl for each song you discover. We have Spotify and Apple Music for a reason; they make it easy to have these songs on your phone," Natasha chimed in, observing Wanda arranging her newly acquired records in the cabinet that Sam had thoughtfully purchased and was placed inside their shared room.
Wanda defended her latest online buying spree, "Steve was the one who suggested it. I simply followed his advice, love."
Natasha couldn't help but jest, "You do realise Steve is practically a living fossil. He was born from an era where the concept of downloading music online was unheard of."
"Tasha, please be kind to him. I'm planning to share my new purchases with Steve. They're classics, songs from his time. I'm sure he'll remember them," Wanda explained with sincerity as she contemplated playing one of the records to test it out.
The gentle melodies of the vinyl graced the room, carrying a slow, nostalgic tempo, the perfect soundtrack for an intimate dance between two lovers. Natasha immediately recognized the song and, with a hint of sadness, recalled, "I know this one. Steve used to play this song a lot. It reminds him of Peggy and the life they might have had if he hadn't been frozen in ice."
Wanda's heart sank upon hearing Natasha's words. It suddenly struck her that playing this song for Steve might evoke painful memories. She hesitated, "Maybe I shouldn't play it for him, then. I don't want to see him sad."
"Don't overthink it, baby. You know what, this song reminds of something I heard while I was on a mission in Asia," Natasha paused as she recalled the song. "FRIDAY, could you please play the song we were looking for yesterday?" Natasha requested from the AI, momentarily leaving Wanda perplexed. With a gentle smile, Natasha beckoned her lover closer.
"Come here, Princess. Will you dance with me?"
Wanda's heart swelled with affection as she nodded in agreement, deeply moved by Natasha's romantic gestures. In the two years that they had been together, she had come to understand that Natasha wasn't always one for being romantic through slow dancing. Wanda knows that dancing in general was a hard topic for Natasha especially with her past. But Wanda cherished every opportunity to indulge in Natasha's romantic side.
The sweet, melodic strains of "Mabagal" filled the room, and Natasha led Wanda into a slow, tender dance. Natasha's arms encircled Wanda's waist, while Wanda's found their place around Natasha's neck. As they swayed to the rhythm, the world outside faded away.
"What's the name of this song, Tash? It's in a different language," Wanda inquired, their bodies swaying to the unfamiliar tune.
Natasha smiled, her eyes dancing with fond memories. "It's a Filipino song. I heard it everywhere when I was in the Philippines, so I asked FRIDAY to find it and translate it for me."
"It's absolutely lovely, I adore it. But what's its meaning?" Wanda asked, her curiosity piqued.
Natasha's gaze softened and responded, "Well, the song translates to wanting to slow dance with your lover; however, the song is about taking things slowly and treasuring the current moment within a world that rushes by."
Wanda was deeply moved by the meaning of the song, and how she can relate to it. Starting their relationship had not been without its challenges. They had embarked on a path with little knowledge of what lay ahead, but they persevered, taking each day as it came and learning together. It was a reminder of how they had navigated the early stages of their relationship while the world continued to whirl around them at an unforgiving speed.
Lately, Natasha had been contemplating early retirement, the desire to build a settled life with Wanda growing stronger with each passing day. She reflected on the countless times where she almost lost her life, and the endless sacrifices that they had to make in order to restore peace. Now, she yearned for a peaceful future with the woman she loved, away from the chaos she had fought against for so long. Maybe they could discuss it once the time is right, after all, they are taking things slowly.
Natasha leaned in for a kiss on the lips and down to her neck which made Wanda melt at an instant and gave out a small moan. The spy's hands travelled downwards and firmly gripped Wanda's butt.
"Those vinys aren't only the ones I purchased online, you know?" Wanda said as they parted to catch their breaths.
"Oh yeah? You've got a surprise for me, baby doll?" Natasha continued her assault on Wanda's neck and sucked on her pulse points.
"Ahhh, yes, baby. You're so good to me." Wanda arched her neck, presenting it even more to the other woman. But she can't be distracted with Natasha's ministrations. "Oh god. Love, stop for a moment please"
Natasha indeed stopped and raised her brow at Wanda. "Okay. So what did you buy?"
"I bought a strap on."
Well, that left Natasha speechless and shocked. "What? Did Vision help you on that as well? Does he know about this?" She can't imagine how the android would think of this situation.
"No, no! Vision has no idea about this. I bought this on my own. I swear!" Wanda was quick to defend herself. Plus, she can't bring herself to reveal such information to the android.
"What gave you the idea to buy that toy?" Natasha inquired with her brow raised at Wanda.
"I found one in your closet. It seems you've used it with your other girls before, and I won't allow you to use it on me. And I threw yours away." Her words carried a hint of discomfort and insecurity knowing Natasha's history, it made her uneasy about the prospect of the very same toy being used on her.
"First of all, I don't even plan on using that on you. And secondly, I purchased one myself. It's on the bedside drawer. But I'd rather see what you bought. So show me what you've got."
Wanda hurriedly went to her own side of the closet and retrieved the toy. "I've already washed it and it's ready to be used." The witch said it playfully and Natasha was impressed.
"Very well. We can test it out right now. Remove your clothes and lay on the bed. FRIDAY, keep on playing the song."
Seeing Wanda naked body is gotta be the 8th wonder of the world. Natasha has seen countless of nude women but nothing compares to the beauty that is currently lying on top of her bed. She admired the witch even more through her wandering hands. Flicking the erect nipples which elicited a moan from Wanda.
"Your nipples are so sensitive, baby girl. I want to touch them all the time and make you squirm in desperation." Natasha replaced her hand with her mouth and started sucking on Wanda's breast, constantly biting and nipping the nipple.
"Natasha, please."
"Hmm? What do you want?"
"Please fuck me with your cock." Wanda demanded. She can't stop thinking how Natasha will fuck her using the toy. She had already daydreamed about it, almost forgetting to check out her chosen items that she placed on her online cart.
"Such a desperate kitten. I never peg you to be a cock whore." Natasha continued to taunt the witch but complied with what Wanda wants. She removed her clothes and kneeled on the bed to secure the harness on her waist and adjusted the 7-inch dildo that was hanging proudly in her crotch.
"Why don't you suck my cock first before I fuck you, huh? Come on, Princess."
Wanda's mouth waters at Natasha's command and kneeled in front of the woman, with her ass in the air. She gave Natasha a playful wink before taking the dildo in her mouth slowly.
Natasha gasped the moment Wanda's tongue touched the head of the dildo, she could almost feel how warm Wanda's mouth was on the faux cock. She can't determine whether she's comfortable with this new found sensation or not. "Fucking hell, detka. What have you done?"
"I put a spell on it, baby. It will feel like a real cock is attached to you. Can you feel my tongue swirling around at the tip of your cock, Daddy?" Wanda looked up with her tongue out, teasing the pulsing head.
"Oh God. Yes." The spy groaned at the sight below her. Wanda is taking the whole length in her mouth expertly and she even hollowed her cheek in order to fully accommodate the member. Natasha can hear the obscene slurping sound of Wanda's wet and warm mouth as she sucked her cock, bobbing her head up and down. "Fuck, fuck! Wanda! Slow down!"
Wanda did not slow down her movements at all and aggressively sucked the cock like a starved animal. Natasha can already feel the tightening in her stomach. She grabbed a handful of Wanda's hair and started thrusting her hips. The head touched deep within Wanda's throat which made her gagged and drooled all over the toy. But Natasha didn't care, she continued her thrusts and then blurted out a series of russian curse words as she tried to control the overwhelming sensation in her groin. "Yes, yes! Just like that, Wanda. God, you're so good with that mouth of yours."
The room is filled with grunts coming from the widow and she leaned forward a bit to spank Wanda's ass. "Jesus Christ, baby. You're going to be the death of me. I'm going to cum in your mouth. Wanda!"
Within the next seconds, Wanda whimpered as the widow unloaded her cum inside of Wanda's throat which she happily swallowed.
"Did you like it, Natasha?" The witch surely looked so smug and so proud of herself at the moment. She was able to put Natasha in this blissed out state and she can't wait to do it over and over again.
"You and that magic of yours is something else, baby." This will definitely put their sex life on a whole different level and you will never find Natasha complaining. Some of Natasha's cum leaked from Wanda's mouth and she pushed them back in using her thumb. "Hmm. Lay back, let me take care of you now."
Natasha didn't even waste a second and devoured Wanda's breasts with fervent need. There's nothing she loves more than burying her face on Wanda's tits.
The sounds that Wanda are making are music to Natasha's ears which made her more eager in pleasing the witch. At this point, Wanda is more than ready to be fucked by the faux cock but Natasha want to prolong the foreplay.
"Daddy, please, please, please! I need you to fuck me." Natasha can hear the desperation on Wanda's voice and smirked at her lover's pent up state.
"Patience my love. I want to play with your pussy first." Two fingers dance around Wanda's slippery pussy, throbbing everytime Natasha touches her clit ever so lightly.
"Natasha! Stop teasing me, please!"
"Since you've been a good girl, I'll give you what you want." The widow lined up her cock on Wanda's dripping entrance. She made sure to tease Wanda's clit and to also lubricate the tip of the cock before entering her pussy slowly and gently.
"Ahhhhh. Yes, Daddy. You feel so good inside me." Wanda purred as she felt the fullness of Natasha's cock, almost kissing her cervix. "Please go faster."
Natasha's breath hitched when she felt Wanda's velvety walls around her and how it gripped her length in the most delicious way. She'll make sure to please Wanda in every way possible for creating such a spell for this toy. What an experience this is, her girlfriend is probably the most powerful avenger out there but she's here, casting spells to further spice up their sex lives.
Natasha can't get enough of the sight before her. Wanda's tits are bouncing and moaning from her powerful thrusts. "Baby, you feel so around me. I will ruin your pussy. You hear me?"
"Yes, daddy!"
The bed was squeaking due to Natasha's brutal pounding, making Wanda's eyes roll back at her head. Wanda's back is arching and Natasha had to gripped her waist to hold her down and to seat a perfect rythm.
Natasha then gathered both Wanda legs and put them on each side of her shoulder that way, she can penetrate deeper. "Wanda, baby. You're clenching around me so much. I love it."
This new position is reaching places she thought never existed inside her and damn, she can feel the coil in her stomach, ready to snap at any moment. "My love, I'm going to cum! Plase fuck me harder!"
Ofcourse Natasha obliged Wanda's demands as she can also feel herself being close. "I'm going to cum inside you, okay? You'll be my little cumrag. Would you like that, huh?
"Do whatever you want with me, Daddy! Ahhh! I'm cumm— nghh!"
"Shit, shit. Wanda!'
Both women shared their orgasm in perfect unison, panting heavily after their release. Natasha had to pull out so she could lay down beside Wanda.
"Natasha, you're amazing. Oh my god." Wanda immediately wrapped her arm around Natasha and gave her so many kisses on the face.
"No, baby. You're amazing! Wherever did you learn how to enchant your toy, huh?" Natasha teased Wanda. She was curious as well on how her little witch learned such a thing. As far as she knows, she's been visiting Dr. Strange in order for her to fully grasp and wield her power.
"A lady never tells." Wanda giggled and hid her face at the crook of Natasha's neck.
Natasha sighed and did not push the brunette further. "Alright, keep your secrets then."
"Can you fuck me while you're wearing your suit, love?" Wanda challenged the other woman with a grin on her face.
"You became a demanding vixen now, huh? On your fours, you slut."

About a month had passed, and Tony Stark found himself sinking into a state of boredom. It might sound unbelievable, but he had exhausted every possible task. He recalibrated Sam's wings to ensure more efficient flying, boosted the power of Natasha's widow bites, and completed the design for Wanda's suit.
In search of a diversion, he decided to dive into the Avengers' financial history. To his relief, most of them were responsible with their expenses, except for Natasha, who had a penchant for acquiring motorcycle parts for her upgrades. Tony didn't mind their spending habits as long as they remained within legal boundaries.
However, his curiosity was piqued when he came across a recent payment in Wanda's records. It was a charge to the New York hospital, amounting to $200 for an obstetrician's services and an additional $100 for an ultrasound. Tony's mind began to race with questions. Was Wanda pregnant? And if so, how could that be possible when Natasha is her partner? Could they have both sought a donor and undergone in vitro fertilization? A thorough investigation of Wanda's financial records yielded no clues about any pregnancy-related procedures, leaving Tony utterly perplexed.
Determined to get to the bottom of this mystery, he summoned Vision to his lab. The android, he noticed, had taken to wearing regular clothes, abandoning his traditional cape, after Wanda playfully chided him for it. She believed that dressing like a human would make him blend in better, and Vision had taken her advice to heart.
"You called for me, Mister Stark?" Vision inquired, his attire emphasising his commitment to appearing more human.
"Have you noticed anything unusual about Wanda recently, like experiencing occasional nausea or when she doesn't like certain smells?"
"I'm not quite sure what you mean, Sir. Wanda appears to be in good health. She maintains a nutritious diet, and her training with Captain Rogers and Agent Romanoff is progressing smoothly." Tony realised that questioning the android about human behavior might not be very productive.
"Well, I did some digging into her financial records, and it turns out she had an ultrasound. Our witch might be preggo."
Vision, curious but still learning about human reproduction, responded, "I've familiarised myself with human anatomy, but how could this be possible when Natasha is her partner? Two women can't naturally conceive a child, can they?"
Tony contemplated the situation and decided on a course of action. "One way to get answers is to speak to the person responsible for this pregnancy. FRIDAY, can you locate Natasha for us?"
"Agent Romanoff is currently in the common area with Miss Belova."
"Perfect. Let's head down there and question Romanoff." Tony and Vision made their way to the common area, determined to uncover the truth about Wanda.
***
After a demanding training session, the two widows had relocated from the common area to the kitchen to whip up a snack and refuel.
"Training with Captain Tight-ass is a lot more fun than with you, sestra," Yelena teased Natasha, her sister's training regimen being famously gruelling and somewhat inhumane, without even granting her a break after an exhausting hand-to-hand combat sequence.
"Admit that I beat you out there; you're getting soft and—"
Natasha's retort was abruptly cut short as Tony and Vision made their unannounced entrance.
"There she is, our soon-to-be mother. Oh! Are you preparing Wanda's cravings?" Tony asked, his tone laced with curiosity and a hint of exasperation
With one hand on her hip, the other clutching a wooden spoon, Natasha gave a puzzled look and responded, "What on Earth are you talking about, Stark?"
"Well, I'm just asking about the bun in Wanda's oven," Tony bluntly stated, clearly not one to beat around the bush.
Yelena stood up, a mix of shock and disbelief on her face. "What the fuck, Natasha! Is Wanda pregnant?"
Natasha, growing increasingly impatient, demanded, "Both of you, shut up! How could Wanda be pregnant?" She didn't even know it was possible unless Wanda's recent spell could manifest this somehow?
Tony couldn't help but relish the unfolding drama. "Wow, Mommy Natasha is completely unaware that her girlfriend might be pregnant. This is getting better and better by the second!"
Vision, attempting to contribute his observations, raised a finger and started, "I have overheard Wanda's cries at night, and it seems like she and Natasha are—"
Natasha issued a stern warning to Vision, her patience wearing thin. "I swear to God, Vision, say one more word, and you'll find yourself disassembled!"
"FRIDAY, please request Wanda's presence in the kitchen." Yelena prompted the AI. The day was quickly spiralling into chaos, and Natasha needed to know whether Wanda was truly pregnant or not.
A few minutes had passed when Wanda finally arrived, her senses instantly tingling with the weird atmosphere in the kitchen. "Uhm, what's happening here?" she inquired, her curiosity piqued.
Natasha, wasting no time, approached Wanda directly and cut right to the chase, "Are you pregnant?"
Wanda, taken aback, responded with confusion, "What? Where did you get that idea?"
Tony took it upon himself to answer Wanda's question. "I did some digging into everyone's financial history, and I noticed a payment made at the New York hospital just three days ago. It was for an obstetrician and an ultrasound. Care to explain that?"
Wanda sighed deeply, a gesture that left Natasha on edge. They were all too aware that the full extent of Wanda's powers remained a mystery, and the possibility of her using magic to become pregnant was entirely possible.
"I helped a lady at the hospital because her card was declined and she needed to pay her bills. So I volunteered to pay for her expenses," Wanda began, recounting the events of that fateful day. The distressed lady had faced an issue with her payment, and Wanda, with her compassionate nature, had stepped in to assist. She locked eyes with Natasha and emphasised, "I am not pregnant, okay?"
A collective sigh of relief swept through the kitchen's occupants, their tension dissipating.
Natasha, her hand resting on her chest, couldn't help but react as she approached Wanda, "You almost gave me a heart attack there, baby. Jesus Christ." The idea of motherhood had always been a daunting prospect for her especially with her past but this incident sparked the possibility of discussing the notion of starting a family together.
"I'm sorry for the scare, Nat," Wanda said, a sly grin spreading across her face. Natasha couldn't help but wish she could wipe the smirk off her lover's face.
Just as the tension in the kitchen seemed to be easing, Steve and Sam entered the scene, catching wind of the situation. Steve, always the inquisitive one, inquired, "What's going on here, guys?"
Tony, quick to provide an update, responded, "We thought our witchy was pregnant, but it turned out she's not. End of story."
Steve, with a mischievous glint in his eye, decided to tease Natasha further, "Natasha, can you be more responsible?"
In response, Natasha shot back, "Mind your own business, Rogers," her retort laden with a playful yet slightly exasperated tone.
After a while, the boys decided to also prepare their respective snacks, and when Natasha was plating their food, Wanda leaned in and whispered to Natasha, "I discovered a song today. I like it so much. I want to share it with you."
"Oh yeah? What is it?" Natasha asked with genuine curiosity and the curiosity indeed killed the cat right after Wanda ordered the AI to play the said song.
The sound system came to life, filling the room with a playful, infectious beat. Natasha was just getting comfortable and was even bobbing her head, but her relaxation was cut off immediately. The lyrics of the song struck her like a lightning bolt, almost giving her the second heart attack of the day when Wanda began rapping them. "Oh God, no."
"Yeah, you fucking with some wet ass pussy
Bring a bucket and a mop for this wet ass pussy
Give me everything you got for this wet ass pussy!"

Simple Office Furniture Tricks for Finding the Deals
There are many different ways that you can decorate your office. You can pick a particular type of furniture and choose your furnishings based on that, or you can have furniture that is a mix of styles, shapes, and color schemes. Some styles of furniture are more expensive than others, and it might be cheaper for you to pick a style that is less expensive.
A common type of office furniture seen in many offices consists of dark heavy wood. This type of furniture usually features heavy L-shaped desks with hutches, matching bookcases, long reception desks, and bulky workstations. The look is very elegant and expensive. However, if you would like to purchase office furniture that is not going to make you broke, you might consider a more modern design.
Modern designs include a plain and simple approach. This is where a desk is just a desk and a chair is just a chair, there are no fancy bells and whistles. The beauty of having simple designs is that you can save money on buying the products. Because the parts are usually less and the material less expensive, it is often a more economical way to buy furniture.
If you're looking to buy cheap office furniture you can always check out used office furniture stores. And when you're looking in the used stores, take note of the modern and simple designs because chances are they will be even less expensive than the huge wooden desks. Keeping your office furniture simple is a neat way to save money on decorating your office space.
The internet is a great tool for finding bargains. You can search out some nifty online stores that also feature pictures of their products. You can find sources that make material that is cheaper than other materials and in turn, cost less to sell.
Buying right from the furniture manufacture is another excellent way to buy inexpensive furniture. Especially if you buy in bulk quantities, you will be sure to save money. When you purchase office furniture from a store you are also paying the store their share of the profit.
You can also search out for office spaces that are closing, going bankrupt or simply moving, and look for great rates on buying their used furniture. If it is a private sale, you might have a better chance of talking down the price or offering a small lump sum for an entire load of office furniture.
Adding new office furniture to your office space can be a fun and rewarding experience. You will ultimately pick the style, color, and design of the furniture you are buying. And if you shop well and end up with some trendy cheap pieces then you will be more than happy. All it takes is some nifty shopping tricks and lots of patience as you shop around for the best deals and products for you. Remember that timing is everything, so you might have to keep checking the internet for deals or keep looking in the paper for used office furniture sales. It may take some time, but in the end, will be worth the wait.

It's Been Oolong Time || Andy & Meera
TIMING: current. PARTIES: @the-haunteang & @declinlalune SUMMARY: andy visits meera's teashop! CONTENT WARNINGS: none.
The Best Exotic Herbal Tea Shop was more commonly known as Sharma Tea, mostly because the family that has operated the long-time business was the Sharmas. Meera was its current owner, having taken over after her mother passed away, who herself had taken over when her own mother, Meera’s grandmum, passed away years ago. Strangely, neither of those woman came back to haunt the medium, despite every other dead relative doing so randomly. Meera often thought about that, and as a new customer walked in, she was thinking about it again.
“Welcome to Best Exotic!” Meera instinctively greeted the other woman, jolting to her senses as soon as the door swung open. Right next to it, she could see the same relative from decades ago standing there, just staring at the medium. This gaunt ghost, Meera did not know, only that it must be a grand-uncle that she has never met. It has not spoken to her, and it usually just stood there at the doorway, watching
things. “How may I help you today?”
Andy knew that Sharma Tea was probably her best bet for getting quality tea that wouldn’t curse her or something. She had had their oolong before, and it was something she always came back to, even though she felt the need to venture out for the sake of putting something in the cabinet that Kaden wouldn’t scoff at. Even if the tea became pricey, Andy felt as though she could foot the bill, because really, she drank tea all the time.
Entirely oblivious to those who may be around her aside from Meera, Andy smiled at the woman as she was welcomed in. “Hey! We spoke online, I think, forever ago– I’m here for the Taiwanese oolong you had mentioned?” She should have written the name down so that she could remember, but did it really matter? Meera was an expert in teas, and realistically, she could probably throw an essence of the kind of tea she wanted and the other woman would be able to pin it down with ease. “If you don’t have any more of it, I’m definitely okay with trying something different
?”
Meera tilted her head to one side. Spoke online? Meera had spoken to many people online, and maybe that was the point, but she did find delight in having her marketing ploy succeed. Well, it was less of an actual marketing ploy than just her begging people to come and buy things at the shop, even though they weren’t entirely struggling.
The shop was doing fine. People were buying tea at a pretty decent rate. They had no problems on the financial side of things. Perception-wise, however, Meera had always had a nagging feeling she could do better, she should do better, and maybe that’s just because of the ghosts of her relatives that would not let her stay at peace. “Oh, hello! I’m Meera,” she extended her hand for a quick shake before scrambling toward the mentioned tea. The browsing was less quicker but when she finally found it, she exclaimed excitedly. “Here it is!”
“Oh, well,” Meera found herself deep in thought. What else could she offer this pretty woman? Tea-wise, of course. Something different? Why not her? Err, from her culture? “Have you tried Assam or Darjeeling?” She asked with a wide grin.
As Meera extended her hand, Andy smiled. She shook the woman’s hand before letting her gaze wander over the glass and steel containers that were in just about every corner of the shop. Once she had had her fill, she turned her gaze back to Meera. “I’m Andy.” The introduction didn’t take very long, because Meera was veering off in the opposite direction towards a shelf which had an assortment of different teas.
With her tea found, Andy was fully prepared to take out her wallet and buy as much as she could afford. She was sure it wasn’t cheap, but for quality tea, it was worth it. At Meera’s question of whether or not she’d ever had Assam or Darjeeling, Andy thought for a moment before nodding. “I’ve had Assam, but not Darjeeling
is it a black tea, too?” She didn’t really know a ton about tea or coffee, but she liked it enough to drink it, and that was good enough for her. If Meera were to suggest something else she might like, Andy would take it gladly.
“Yes, it is,” Meera began to explain with a wide smile on her face. If there was one thing that made her glad she was alive, unlike her annoying relative that was eavesdropping on the conversation between two living people, it was the fact that she was at least very well-versed in the field of tea. “Well, Darjeeling can actually come in other varieties but the black tea version is very exquisite! It’s also extremely rich in antioxidants and has a beautiful full-bodied flavor!”
Meera handed the box of Darjeeling tea to Andy, keeping the Assam with herself just in case she wanted to go with what she already knew. Most people enjoyed trying out new stuff, but when it came to tea, as with anything food-related, a lot actually preferred to still go with the ones they’ve already had. If she was lucky, she’d take something new with them, too, but even then, not a lot of her customers ventured toward the strange and unknown. At least not on the first visit. “Is it a bit pricey but I can brew you a cup if you’d like a taste first? It’s on the house!”
It shouldn’t be, as Meera’s unintentional glimpse of the gaunt ghost at the door revealed, but she didn’t really have a lot of opportunities to defy her dead relatives, so this was as good as it gets.
When Andy thought of tea, she only ever thought about whether or not it tasted good, or if it’d make her caffeine intake shoot through the roof. For the most part, she never thought about whether or not it could be good for her. But as Meera explained antioxidants– whatever those were, Andy found herself listening intently. Sure, she could use some of those. They sounded good for you, and Andy could always use a healthier alternative to the peach rings she ate nearly every other day.
Andy took the box of Darjeeling with a grateful smile, turning it over in her hand, taking note of the benefits that were labeled on the back. She read over them before looking up at Meera as she offered to brew a cup on the house. “Really? You don’t need to do that.” She always felt guilty getting free things, which was rich, considering all the theft she and Alex had committed. Even now, she still found herself stealing from the people who wouldn’t miss what she took.
“I can grab a few ounces to try, if you weigh by that?” Most tea shops did, but Andy knew that for certain teas, they’d only sell by an already pre-packaged amount for the sake of not losing stock or money. “If not, it’s alright– um, how expensive are we talking?” Her wallet had felt light in the past few days, but it wasn’t an issue, especially because tea usually lasted her a long while.
“You know what?” Meera’s lips curled into a bright smile, her eyes joining in the fun. She was impressed and appreciative with this customer, Andy, mostly at her declining her offer of a free taste. Normally, most customers, especially new ones, would jump at the offer, as it was a pretty risk-free way of trying new flavors, new tea. It wasn’t that great of a loss to the shop, too, as they could use the same pre-packaged box for the source of all succeeding free tastes. “Why don’t I give you a discount? Since it’s your first time trying Darjeeling.”
Meera grabbed another box of Darjeeling tea and handed it to Andy. “This is 2nd flush, bolder in flavor than what you have in your hand, which is 1st flush,” she explained with a smile, eager to impart what she knew of her trade, which was pretty much a lot. “The 2nd flush has a subtle fruity and musky complexity, which makes it perfect for an afternoon cup, while the 1st flush is more delicate, more exquisite, with subtle floral undertones. Darjeeling 1st flush is considered as the champagne of the black teas. You can have the 1st flush for $15 per 6 ounces, it’s normally $19 per 6 ounces, and the 2nd flush for $10 per 6 ounces, which is normally $14.”
“Wait, are you sure?” Andy had come across plenty of kind people in Wicked’s Rest, but this was something else. Then again, in order to make a sale, even Andy sometimes became a little too kind, especially when she noticed somebody eyeing the last chocolate croissant that she definitely wanted to get rid of. “That is really kind of you.” She smiled at Meera, knowing well enough that the next time she came in, she would need to drop some cash in order to compensate for the kindness that the woman had extended.
Meera’s explanation about the tea having something called flush was new to Andy. She wasn’t familiar with the term, but did it matter? Clearly Meera was well versed in tea. She ran a shop for them, after all. Andy took the second box and looked it over, nodding along with Meera’s explanation. “The champagne of black tea?” Andy raised a brow as she turned the box over in her hand again, then glanced back to the first box that’d been handed over to her. “That’s a big discount, especially for the champagne of tree.” She bit down onto the inside of her cheek, knowing well enough that she’d sit both Alex and Kaden down for a tea tasting afternoon. “Can I actually get both at 6 ounces? I’ll pay full price for this one–” she held up the 2nd flush, “just so you aren’t losing too much on it?” She gave Meera a hopeful smile, wanting her to recognize that it was alright to charge full price, especially when it came to good quality teas.
“Oh, yeah, don’t worry about it,” Meera shook her head, her smile never waning. For her supposed kindness to be acknowledged, it felt surreal and at the same time heartwarming to the tea shop owner. Her staff were her only source of positive reinforcement ever since her mother and grandmother passed away. She didn’t have that many friends, either. “The champagne of black teas.”
Meera may have been a little biased toward the tea, though, as it was her grandmother’s favorite, which was why it became hers. But that bit about it being referred to as the champagne of black teas? She had heard it from other people as well, mostly other tea aficionados, both working for the shop and those that were distant colleagues. “Oh, well, if that’s what you’d like to do,” she was a little disappointed that the customer didn’t take the full discount but tried her best not to show it. Andy was entitled to her own decisions, so she rang her up and catered to her desire. “You know, tea’s pretty good with friends, so if you have them with others, may I suggest pairing it with carrot cake or some light creamy cheese like goat’s cheese? It also pairs well with delicate pastries and smoked salmon.”
Meera repeated what Andy found hard to be true. She still couldn’t wrap her head around how tea could be that good. Maybe it was because she only ever used her tomato tea stopper and nothing else. More times than not, she forgot to remove the tea bag altogether and drank the cup, even after it became bitter due to the over-saturation of flavor.
Andy stood just beside the register as Meera began to ring her up. Her eyes continued to wander over the different canisters that were both behind the register as well as on the walls in the back room that Andy could only see because the door was slightly ajar. Meera’s words brought Andy back into focus and she blinked at her comment. “I have friends.” She had a few, maybe. Did her friends like tea? Lil liked coffee. Jonas, too. Maybe they liked tea. Maybe Nicole did. Was Kaden her friend? No, he was her cousin. Alex was definitely her friend. Had pit guy been a friend? Maybe Arden, too. Her mind raced and she cleared her throat as she realized that Meera had meant tea friends. “Oh. Um, yeah– I like carrot cake..” Tea going well with cheese? Who would have thought. Kaden would definitely like the tea, then. “I didn’t know that tea was so versatile
huh.” The thought of tea going good with something like smoked salmon was unimaginable to Andy, but Meera was the one with the knowledge, so she simply nodded as the clerk counted off the endless possibilities. “I feel like I can stump people now
tell them tea goes good with salmon.”
Meera instinctively moved her head slightly when Andy commented that she had friends. She expected her to have some. Doesn’t everyone? Then she remembered that nope, not everyone. Case in point: Meera herself, who hasn’t made any new friends that weren’t working for the tea shop or an old customer or even just related to an old customer. It dawned on her how everything, her entire life, including her relationships, revolved around the tea shop now, and it made her a little sad. But what could she do? She’d rather be alone and lonely than to risk new people getting haunted by her annoying family members.
“Oh, different teas can go well with different food, and carrot cake is a favorite of mine,” Meera chuckled to herself, remembering her own introduction to the versatility of tea. The versatilitea. With her father from a culture that venerates tea, it wasn’t a difficult foray into the world. From Indian teas to East Asian teas that went well with dumplings, Meera didn’t wait that long to branch out to other cultural pairings. Teas and pastries generally worked well together. Teas and cheeses? Some did and some didn’t. Teas and fish or any meat in particular? That was an eye opener for her, too. “I’d be happy to tell you more, so feel free to come back whenever you need a new batch or want to experiment with new ones.”
Andy nodded as if she knew it all along. It made sense. It was like wine, right? Wine went with certain things. She never cared that reds didn’t go with fish, but some people did. Maybe some people really cared about tea and how it could go with smoked salmon. She knew that some teas could even be considered savory, but it was weird to think about.
Regardless of the pairings and what they meant to people, Andy was excited to finally get her hands on an oolong she hadn’t tried. The darjeeling seemed interesting too, and even if she and Alex hadn’t ever had the chance to diversify their pallets, Andy didn’t consider herself to be a picky eater, or drinker in this case. “Really? I appreciate that.” Andy smiled at Meera, weighing the two different teas in either of her hands. “Oh, there are even steeping directions.” That was good. It was important, in this case of the more-expensive tea.
“Really,” Meera beamed as she finished placing the Andy’s purchase inside a brown paper bag, which was more helpful to the environment than most other kinds of bags. She chuckled to herself, finding Andy’s curiosity toward the tea quite refreshing. It wasn’t new to her, of course, as she’s had other customers come in, looking for new stuff to satiate their expanding preferences, but truth be told, it has been a while. Most of her customers have been old ones, the same faces her late mother and perhaps even her grandmother used to rang up. “Those should be fine to follow, but it’ll still depend on your preference, of course.”
She then took a piece of paper from the pad close to the register and began writing the shop’s number on it. Once she was done, Meera handed it to Andy. Just in case. “Here,” she unintentionally winked at her customer, failing to realize what she had done. Maybe later, when she looked back at this interaction, reviewed the entire scene after it has already ended, she’d regret that. Or at least cringe at her own strangeness, her awkwardness when it came to social interactions with new people. “The shop’s number. Should you ever need to make a quick call.”
The back of Andy’s neck warmed at Meera’s wink. She hoped her cheeks didn’t also reflect the embarrassment she felt. Or was it even embarrassment? Maybe shyness. Andy watched as Meera wrote down the phone number to the shop. She put the tea tins into her bag before taking the scrap of paper. She folded it up carefully and put it into the small pocket of her tote with a smile. “I appreciate your help, and I’m excited to try the darjeeling.” Maybe Meera had opened up an entirely new world for Andy when it came to tea, maybe she could introduce it to Lil and get her to stop consuming too much caffeine in the form of energy drinks.
“I’ll definitely let you know how I like it.” She’d want to leave a review, too. Meera deserved it, and the shop deserved more recognition. Andy gave Meera a wave before heading towards the door. “Have a good one, I’ll catch you later.”

The Evolution: From Wooden Boxes To Modern Steel Filling Cabinets
Filing cabinets have been used for centuries to store and organize important documents. The earliest filing cabinets were simple wooden boxes. Over time, as the need for document storage grew, filing cabinets evolved to become more complex and efficient.
Read this article to get to know the evolution of filing cabinets in Malaysia!

The Evolution To Know Before Buying A Filing Cabinet
In the early 19th century, the first metal filing cabinets were introduced. These cabinets were made from cast iron and featured a locking mechanism that helped keep documents secure. While these early metal filing cabinets were an improvement over wooden boxes, they were heavy and difficult to move, making them impractical for many office settings.
In the early 20th century, the design of filing cabinets underwent a drastic transformation. Steel became popular for filing cabinets due to its strength and durability. The introduction of the vertical filing system, which allowed documents to get stored in a vertical orientation rather than horizontally, was also a major innovation that helped to save space and increase efficiency.
By the mid-20th century, filing cabinets had become a staple of modern offices. They were available in many sizes and configurations, from small two-drawer cabinets to large multi-drawer cabinets that could hold thousands of documents. Manufacturers also began to introduce new features such as anti-tip mechanisms, locking bars, and interlocking systems to make filing cabinets more secure and easy to use.
Today, filing cabinets continue to evolve to meet the changing needs of modern offices. Many filing cabinets now come with features such as fireproofing, digital locking mechanisms, and even integrated charging ports for electronic devices. While digital storage solutions have become increasingly popular in recent years, filing cabinets remain essential for organizing and storing important documents in a physical format.

Oh, we're sharing cooking advice? I can chime in.
I first learned as a young adult living with my parents, often with unemployed and not in school levels of leisure time, which was very optimal in a lot of ways -- I didn't have to cook, I didn't have to cook all or even most of the meals I ate, and I had access to a fully stocked kitchen and also the money to buy high quality ingredients. Because every night cooking was a night one of my parents didn't have to, my work was appreciated by someone else, which was nice, and often my brother and I cooked (and sometimes went grocery shopping) together, one of the few things we did together that didn't involve us being at each others' throats. I actually started with fairly complex, labor intensive stuff, which worked for me because I was getting to eat things I wouldn't have gotten otherwise. (I mean, my parents are both great cooks, but the recipes I picked out were still different from the ones they went for, so it was novel food.)
Apart from probably the last one, I recommend replicating those conditions as closely as possible. And I especially recommend cooking with other people if you can, which conveniently can also be a way to get access to a fully stocked kitchen if you don't have one of those yourself. A more expeienced cook can answer your random newbie questions and show you how to hold the knife and stuff, yeah you can also find this out online but this way is more personal and involves fewer ads. Or another newbie can make an excellent partner in adventures/misadventures.
(Do expect to have the occasional complete failure. Budget for it if money is tight.)
Having music or a radio talk show/news station/podcast going on while cooking can alleviate boredom and make things more fun even if you're not bored.
I used to cook from scratch all the time, but with my illness I get about fifteen minutes standing up at a time, so my husband does most of the cooking. He brings stuff to me to cut up, and I do food prep sitting in a regular chair at a table. Leaving some pots and pans on the stove spares the effort of having to pull them out from the pots and pans cabinet of doom, and having a spice rack saves the effort of digging out the spice I need from the back of the bunch, when I'm cooking on my own, and keeping the things we use most between about hip height and shoulder height conserves spoon usage. I can't do very complicated stuff, but I can throw some things into a slow cooker or cut up and roast some potatoes, things like that.
And when I do packaged food, I tend to add in one extra thing. Frozen peas go nicely with ramen, or mac and cheese. I throw half a can of kidney beans into some of my frozen meals, to make them healthier and more filling. I'll throw some sesame seeds on top of almost anything. (I mostly avoid eating meat, but the most cheap and convenient food tends to be light on protein, and I'm sure there's a lot of meat-eater easy additions that make processed food more balanced too. Canned fish or salami or something.)
Every time I'm like "IDK this thing that I'm making a post about seems super obvious, this is probably going to be more an exercise in showing ass than helping people" I am mistaken.
What other stuff do you not know how to do in the kitchen that you want to learn?

Hey, here’s a short horror story that I wrote that I’m gonna make into a comic
(this is for fun/ don’t take credit for it or make your own comic using this story)
The goldfish
It started as a smell emitting from the algae infested tank. It was bound to happen, the owner’s history with anything smaller than a cat, was tainted with tiny graves. Hamsters, mice, lizards, anything that wasn’t sturdy or able to make itself known was doomed from the start.
It only took a single scoop from a cheap plastic net to remove the glistening golden corps. The putrid odor of the tank over takes their nostrils, causing him to gag. Water and small flakes of algae drip from the corpse. He carried the net to his backyard. As he walked the water dripped through the net down to the floor with a small “plip, plip, plip” throughout the house until he reached the backyard. As careless as he was, he always felt a bit guilty for his actions. This guilt sparked the creation of the little “cemetery” in his backyard.
Jack felt a bit more guilty for his mistake this time. He stared at the small hole, The cloudy eyed, golden scaled corpse stared back at him. A sickening feeling cherned in his stomach. He quickly buried the slimy fish and went back inside of his home.
Later that evening, the sky turned from a cyan to a burnt yellow. Jack found himself preparing dinner in a daze. The floor moved ever so slightly as he cooked, the knife felt dull as it struggled to chop an onion. His mind kept wandering in and out of the memory of the fish's burial. To be honest, Jack couldn't recall how long he has had that goldfish for. “Chop, chop, chop”. He couldn't even remember ever buying the fish. “Chop, chop, chop. Maybe he bought it after another drunken online shopping spree. It wouldn't be the first time he's done it and most likely wouldn’t be the last. These thoughts buzzed in his head as he cooked. The rhythmic sound of the knife chopping vegetables and it pounding on the cutting board, filled the kitchen's eerie silence. Reaching his hand out to grab a handful of garlic. Was met with a slimy, scaly texture. His arm quickly jerked back sending the unidentified object flying across the kitchen floor. He turned his body to see what he just touched. strewn across the tile was cloves of garlic, except now they were covered in a thick green algae. Jack stared at the garlic for a moment. Perplexed by the situation. “plip, plip, plip”, he turns his head back towards the cutting board. Both the knife and the minced onions are covered in algae. He slowly backed away from the board. The hairs on the back of his neck rose. He walked over to the sink and reached into the sink’s cabinet. To grab a bundle of green plastic bags. All moist and slightly slimy. Jack had to hold back his disgust as he proceeded to scoop up the garlic onions. Jack went as far as tossing the knife into the conglomerate of bags. Jack decided to dump it outside, gripping the slimy bag. He walked to the front door, as he reached for the handle. A wave of hunger twisted his stomach. So much so that Jack hunched over, the sense of vile rose in his throat. He grabbed the handle and the feeling got worse. When the door opened, Jack vomited on his porch. The vile was tinted a sickly green in his house's light. Splashed onto the concrete. Jack, No longer able to stand this feeling, tossed the bag to the side of his house through the door.
Jack stumbled backwards into his house, vile lingering in his mouth. The feeling started to fade as he stumbled closer to the kitchen. As one foot reached the tile the other hooked his ankle. He fell forward, clipping his head on the edge countertop. He winced as he hit the floor. He winced as the pain shot through his ribs. As blood drips down onto the floor. “Fuck” Jack mumbles. Surely that will leave a stain in the grout he thought. He pushed himself up with a pained grunt. The hunger returned. He ignored the cut on his head and the small puddle on the floor. His attention now on his discarded dinner. The cutting board now had a green stain, “What an eyes sore” thought Jack. As blood continued to drip down from his cut. Hungy, he is only hungry. He started to regret throwing the vegetables out. “They weren't that bad, right?”. He searched the kitchen, only finding the ass end of a loaf of bread and a couple of slightly expired fish sticks. He regretted putting off grocery shopping now. “It's little shit like this, Jack. That's why.”. His voice, exhausted. Repeated in the back of Jack’s mind. Jack winced a bit as the thought of Ethan returned. Jack decided to address his injury with a paper towel and tape. He put the fish sticks in the microwave, the plate making a loud clang as it was set down. Jack faced the microwave, eyes looking but not seeing the plate spin. He thought about apologizing again, maybe he could fix things. Another clang from the plate as it spun. No, probably not, he thought grimly. “I don’t change” “Beep, beep, beep”. Startled Jack out of his thoughts. He grabbed the plate and proceeded to finish his plain fish stick ass end sandwich. He leaned against the countertop, and took a bite. As his teeth clamped down on the pitiful sandwich. “Crunch” Jack gagged as a vile hit his tongue, and accidentally swallowed the bite. He shuddered, and inspected the sandwich. His stomach dropped. A scaly mass shimmered replacing the fish sticks. Small tendrils of algae creeped from the bite wound. Jack dropped the sandwich. It fell with a sickly plop as it was engrossed in algae. “plip, plip, plip” Jack sidestepped to the landline on the counter. Jack blindly grabbed the phone, unaware of the algae that clung to the bottom of the phone. He dialed Ethan’s number, hoping he would answer. The phone rang as Jack slowly backed away, the algae from the sandwich spread like vines across the floor. “Ring, Ring, Ring” “please Ethan pick up, please”. “I’m sorry the person you're trying to reach is cur-” Jack's heart leapt as the message was interrupted by a familiar voice “Hello? Jack? Why the hell are you calling me? It’s like 9:30 I got-”. “Ethan, Ethan please listen, please”. Jack said shakily “I don’t know what's going on, but some fucked up evil plant or ghost like shit going on.” “I need help, Please help me!” He begged. “You need help?” Ethan’s tone didn't change. “Yes, Yes! I need help! Please, I'm begging you!” Jack's voice shook. The phone was silent for a second. Jack's eyes stayed glued to the ever growing mass of algae spreading.
Laughter, Jack’s heart dropped. Laughter is what answered him, and the algae was creeping closer. His voice cracked “Why are you laughing? This isnt a fucking joke Ethan! I-”. “Let me stop you there, I know you need help. I’ve heard this before. I tried to help you, I really did but-”, he sighed. “But you don’t try, do you? You let thing get out hand and-, fuck man. He started laughing again. You know what, you are a fucking joke. This whole thing is a joke.” Jack felt a tear roll off his face. Ethan’s voice started to shift and distort. “I watch you push away the only person capable of standing up with your crap”. “What?” Jack mumbled. “Who are you!” “Beep, beep, beep”. The phone went silent. Jack felt something squirm in his hand. He screamed and dropped the phone. Algae curled around his left hand. He used the other and tore it away.
Jack turned his attention to his backyard door. The sandwich algae was getting closer. It grazed his foot and he stepped back. Escape, that's what he has to do. He darted towards the door. As he approached, tendrils made of algae. He jumped back as it creeped through the cracks of the door. Encasing it in a slimy green rectangular mass. As Jack started to stumble back, the algae continued to spread. It moved with purpose. Jack dashed through his kitchen to the living room. To his dismay, his once tan couch was now a gigantic slimy mass that now only resembles a couch. The rest of the living room quickly followed. Not stopping to pity his belongings, he ran into the door and gripped the handle. The algae was faster than jack, and encased the knob before he made contact. Disgusted but determined, he tried to turn the knob. It was too slick, his hands couldn't grab hold. He tried a few more times, before he tried slamming his whole body against the door. Jack turned to screaming and begging for help, but no one came. Jack found himself struggling to breath, he noticed the air around him became musky and thin. He started to gag. The gagging turned to coughing, breathing became almost impossible. Jack crumbled to the ground, gasping for air. “plip, plip, plip”, he lifted his head. Something was creeping out from the arch way of the kitchen. Its scaly mass now took up most of the arch way. It swam towards him slowly. With silent horror, he stared into its cloudy eyes. It opened its maw, revealing to him a throat clogged with algae. To Jack's horror, It spoke. “I watch you push away the only person capable of standing up with your crap” it repeated, in Ethan’s distorted voice. It swimmed silently around the living room as Jack lay paralyzed on the algae soaked carpet. “It hurts doesn't it. To be neglected, to be trapped,” It swam more angrily. “To suffocate”. “We stood up with your crap long enough Jack”. Jack curled more into his body, as the fish swam around the living room. His clothes and body were covered in a thin layer of algae. Forming a cocoon that glued him to the ground. He struggled to say anything to the monster. His own throat filling with with algae with every breath. “Atleast”. The goldfish said with a mocking bite. “Unlike you, I won’t neglect you. I’ll be by your side for the rest of your life”.

Eco-Friendly Furniture Options: Sustainable Choices for a Green Home
Tumblr media
In today’s world, where environmental awareness is growing rapidly, making conscious choices for a sustainable lifestyle is more important than ever. One area where you can make a significant impact is by selecting eco-friendly furniture for your home. Whether you’re moving into a new space or simply upgrading your current setup, choosing sustainable, non-toxic, and ethically produced furniture helps reduce your carbon footprint while creating a stylish and cozy living environment. Here, we explore various eco-friendly furniture options that are both functional and sustainable.
1. Reclaimed Wood Furniture
One of the most popular and eco-conscious choices for furniture is reclaimed wood. Reusing wood from old buildings, barns, or ships not only saves trees but also gives each piece a unique, rustic charm. Reclaimed wood furniture, such as dining tables, bed frames, and shelving units, adds character to your home and can be customized to fit your aesthetic preferences.
Why It’s Eco-Friendly: By repurposing existing wood, we avoid the environmental impact associated with deforestation and minimize waste. Furthermore, reclaimed wood furniture tends to be durable and long-lasting, making it a great investment.
2. Bamboo Furniture
Bamboo is a fast-growing plant that regenerates quickly, making it an excellent renewable resource for furniture production. It is a versatile material used to make everything from chairs and tables to bed frames and cabinets. Bamboo’s light, natural appearance can blend seamlessly into various interior design styles, from minimalistic to bohemian.
Why It’s Eco-Friendly: Bamboo’s rapid growth rate means it doesn’t require replanting, and its cultivation requires minimal water and no pesticides. Additionally, bamboo furniture is lightweight yet sturdy, reducing the carbon emissions associated with transportation.
3. Recycled Plastic Furniture
For outdoor spaces, recycled plastic furniture is an eco-friendly option that doesn’t compromise on durability. Often made from post-consumer plastic waste like bottles and containers, these pieces are designed to withstand harsh weather conditions and resist fading. Recycled plastic furniture comes in a variety of colors and designs, making it an excellent choice for eco-conscious homeowners.
Why It’s Eco-Friendly: By utilizing plastic waste, these products help reduce the amount of plastic that ends up in landfills and oceans. Moreover, recycled plastic furniture is recyclable at the end of its life, contributing to a circular economy.
4. Vintage and Upcycled Furniture
Buying vintage or second-hand furniture is another fantastic way to be eco-friendly. Thrift shops, flea markets, and online platforms like eBay or Facebook Marketplace offer a wide range of pre-loved furniture pieces. You can also choose to upcycle old furniture by giving it a fresh coat of eco-friendly paint, reupholstering with sustainable fabrics, or adding new hardware for a modern twist.
Why It’s Eco-Friendly: By choosing vintage or upcycled furniture, you are extending the life of an item that might otherwise end up in a landfill. It’s a simple yet effective way to reduce your environmental impact while creating a unique, personalized space.
5. Sustainable Upholstery and Natural Fibers
When it comes to upholstered furniture like sofas and armchairs, consider options made with natural fibers such as organic cotton, hemp, or linen. These materials are typically grown without harmful chemicals, making them safer for your home and the environment. Additionally, many companies now offer sustainably produced, non-toxic cushions and fillings, such as those made from natural latex, wool, or recycled materials.
Why It’s Eco-Friendly: Natural and organic fibers are biodegradable and often produced under fair-trade practices. Choosing these materials supports sustainable agriculture and reduces chemical exposure in your living environment.
6. Certified Sustainable Wood Furniture
If you prefer new wood furniture, look for pieces that carry certification from organizations like the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC). FSC-certified wood ensures that the trees used in production come from responsibly managed forests that prioritize reforestation and wildlife conservation. Many companies offer beautiful, modern furniture lines made from FSC-certified wood, ranging from bedroom sets to office desks.
Why It’s Eco-Friendly: FSC-certified furniture promotes sustainable forestry practices, ensuring that your furniture choices do not contribute to deforestation or habitat destruction.
Making the Shift to Sustainable Living
Transitioning to eco-friendly furniture is not only about choosing sustainable materials but also about supporting brands and artisans committed to ethical practices. Many companies now offer transparency about their sourcing methods and carbon footprint, making it easier than ever to make informed decisions.
By opting for eco-friendly furniture, you are contributing to a healthier planet while also enjoying high-quality, stylish pieces in your home. Whether it’s reclaimed wood, bamboo, or recycled plastic, sustainable furniture options are diverse and suitable for any lifestyle. Embrace eco-friendly living, and turn your home into a sanctuary of style and sustainability.

DIY Home Decor: Transform Your Space with Creative Projects
Creating a beautiful home doesn’t have to come with a hefty price tag. With a little creativity, some basic tools, and a DIY spirit, you can transform your living space into a stylish and personalized retreat. This article will explore various DIY home decor projects that can enhance the aesthetic of your home while allowing you to express your individuality. Whether you're a seasoned DIY enthusiast or a beginner, there’s something here for everyone!
1. Upcycled Furniture
One of the best ways to add character to your home is by upcycling old furniture. Instead of throwing away that outdated piece, consider giving it a fresh look. Here are a few ideas:
Painting: A simple coat of paint can dramatically change the appearance of a piece. Choose a color that complements your existing decor, or go bold with a vibrant hue. Chalk paint, in particular, gives a matte finish that's perfect for a rustic look.
Reupholstering: If you have a chair or couch that has seen better days, consider reupholstering it. Choose a fabric that speaks to you and matches your decor. You can find tutorials online that walk you through the process step-by-step.
Adding Hardware: Sometimes, all it takes to update a piece of furniture is new hardware. Swap out old knobs and handles for modern, stylish ones. This works particularly well on cabinets, dressers, and desks.
2. Wall Art
Blank walls can make a room feel empty and uninspired. Adding some DIY wall art can bring warmth and personality to your space. Here are a few projects to consider:
Canvas Prints: Create your own abstract art by splattering paint on canvas or using a sponge to apply different colors. There’s no right or wrong way to do this, so let your creativity flow!
Photo Collage: Gather your favorite photos and create a collage. You can use mismatched frames for a rustic look or keep it uniform for a more modern feel. Arrange the frames on the floor before hanging them to find the perfect layout.
Macrame Wall Hanging: Macrame is making a comeback, and it’s a fantastic way to add texture to your walls. Find a simple pattern online and follow the instructions to create a stunning wall hanging that showcases your knotting skills.
3. Decorative Pillows
Throw pillows can elevate the style of any room. Instead of buying new ones, try making your own!
Sewing: If you know how to sew, consider creating your own pillow covers. Choose a fabric that fits your decor style, and use a simple envelope closure for easy washing.
No-Sew Options: For those who don’t sew, there are many no-sew pillow cover tutorials available. You can use fabric glue or even tie fabric around a pillow form for a fun, fringed effect.
Personalized Prints: Use fabric paint or iron-on transfers to add quotes or designs to plain pillows. This allows you to customize your decor with meaningful phrases or graphics.
4. Terrariums and Indoor Plants
Bringing nature indoors can create a calming atmosphere. Terrariums are a fun and stylish way to showcase your love for plants.
Building a Terrarium: You’ll need a glass container, small stones, activated charcoal, potting soil, and your choice of small plants. Layer the materials, starting with stones for drainage, followed by charcoal and soil, and finally, add the plants. Personalize it with decorative stones or small figurines.
Indoor Plant Displays: Instead of traditional pots, get creative with your plant displays. Use mason jars, old teacups, or even wooden crates to house your plants. Hanging plants from the ceiling or wall-mounted planters can also add a unique touch.
5. Handmade Lighting
Lighting can drastically change the mood of a room. Create your own unique light fixtures to illuminate your space.
Mason Jar Lanterns: Fill mason jars with fairy lights and hang them from hooks or place them on tables for a whimsical touch. You can also use them as centerpieces for special occasions.
Fabric Shade Lamps: If you have a basic lamp base, consider making a new shade. Use fabric that matches your decor and follow a simple tutorial to create a shade that reflects your style.
Industrial Pipe Lights: For a more modern, industrial look, use plumbing pipes to create a unique light fixture. This project requires a bit more work but can be a stunning centerpiece for any room.
6. Personalized Home Accents
Adding personalized touches to your home can make it truly yours. Here are a few easy projects:
Customized Coasters: Use ceramic tiles to create coasters that fit your style. You can decoupage photos or fabric onto the tiles, or paint them with patterns that match your decor.
Decorative Trays: Find a plain wooden tray and paint or stain it to match your decor. You can also use stencils to add designs or quotes, making it a functional yet stylish piece.
Seasonal Decor: Change up your decor with the seasons by creating easy-to-store items like fabric banners, wreaths, or centerpieces. These can add a festive touch to your home throughout the year.
7. Final Tips for Successful DIY Projects
Before you dive into your DIY projects, keep these tips in mind to ensure success:
Start Small: If you’re new to DIY, begin with smaller projects to build your confidence. As you gain experience, you can tackle larger ones.
Gather Tools and Materials: Before starting, make sure you have all the necessary tools and materials. This will help you avoid interruptions and maintain your momentum.
Research and Plan: Look for tutorials, tips, and inspiration online. Planning your projects will save you time and help you achieve the desired results.
Embrace Imperfection: Remember that DIY is all about creativity and self-expression. Don’t be afraid to make mistakes; they often lead to unique and beautiful results.
Conclusion
DIY home decor projects are a fantastic way to enhance your living space while expressing your personal style. From upcycled furniture to handmade art and accents, the possibilities are endless. So gather your supplies, unleash your creativity, and transform your home into a reflection of you. Happy crafting!

Buying Office Furniture - What You Must Know
Buying office furniture for your new or old office can sometimes be more tedious and stressful when considering stylish, trendy, classic, and finest furniture. You must have a good eye for compelling images to be a good buyer of office furniture both from a nearby local store or online stores through classifieds. You will have to apply your wisdom, patience, and time to choose good furniture due to a number of wholesalers and retailers in local and online stores.
Before you choose your office furniture, you need to familiarize yourself with certain tips on choosing furniture that will serve its purpose for as long as you want it;
You must put the price of the furniture you want to buy to be the top list of your budget or finance. Adequate planning of your budget, as regards the price, is highly essential, you will also need to get the full cost of delivery and installation added up to your expenses.
Where you are buying is another essential tip to consider before making an attempt to purchase your office furniture. Buying from a local store in your neighborhood is a good idea because you will have the opportunity to see varieties of these furniture products that you can choose from. Besides, you have the advantage of beating down the cost based on your budget. You will also have the opportunity to get free information on installation and other physical assistance.
Shopping for your office furniture online through classifieds is a fast way of buying furniture, unlike local stores where you are faced with the problem of carriage and transportation. Buying online would not afford you the opportunity to see the image of your furniture physically until it is shipped to your doorstep.
For business owners with a strong passion for color, you must choose office furniture that will closely match the color on the wall of your office and other office decor. Hence, your order must be in line with your color taste and it is advisable to order such furniture in a local store around you in order to get assistance from the owner of the store as regards the color. You can only shop online if only you can differentiate colors from the detailed description contained in the manual. The look of your office wall the furniture and other decor in the office must be soothing and attractive to your customers.
Quantity and quality are other factors that must be your guide when you are buying furniture for your office. Quality here means high price, good product, and a lasting product, while quantity means considerably lower price, reduced quality with a short life span. Your estimated years of usage of the furniture in your office must be taken into consideration as well as your finances. The size of your office also determines the number of office furniture to use.
The two places to buy your furniture are local stores and online stores depending on your budget and finance. For small business owners, you need to patronize your local store for your furniture and save yourself from searching the internet all day long. You only need a good eye to catch your taste and class.
The look of your office decor and furniture speaks volumes, you must carefully select a good taste, user-friendly furniture so to save yourself from losing your esteemed customers and maintain a good relationship with them.
Office furniture made up of quality cover leader is more compelling and attractive and it must be well arranged to allow for free movement of other occupants of the office.

I feel like we’re in this era of normalisation of overconsumption; with the rapid rise in popularity of fast fashion, brand partnerships and influencers as a method of advertising, haul culture and microtrends. I think consumerism is a very complex, multi-part issue that can’t be ‘fixed’ with one simple solution. As humans, we consume and create waste. There is no way to avoid consuming; we consume media, physical objects, nutrients and knowledge on a daily basis. In my opinion, consumption is not necessarily a negative behaviour, rather an unavoidable human behaviour, however, overconsumption is a larger issue, and we can try to avoid it or minimise it. We just don’t want to.
So much of the structure of society is built on consumerism. It’s how we make money, how we feed our bodies, how we clothe ourselves. Mindful consumption is possible, but in a world where trends are moving faster than they’ve ever moved before, and fashion is being designed and produced so quickly and at a mass rate (According to Business of Apps ‘SHEIN Revenue and Usage Statistics 2024’, on an average day, SHEIN adds a shocking 2,000 new items to its online store) it’s really hard to be mindful of what you’re consuming, whether it be media or physical objects. As individuals, we do have to hold ourselves accountable for our actions and the waste we produce, but it’s also important to remember that these massive corporations are deliberately teaching us to feed into consumerism because it’s literally how they’re making money and what keeps them in business. A company’s primary intention is to make money, and most corporations will do anything to achieve these sales. Even if the clothing they sell ends up in landfill days later, they’re still making the money from the sale, and most of the time, what occurs to their product after that sale isn’t a worry of theirs.
I really wanted to discuss ‘haul culture’ as a big factor in the recent rise in consumerism. According to Statistia, the number of views on TikTok videos in April 2022 with the hashtag #sheinhaul was a total of 4,800,000,000 (Statista, 2022), followed by videos with the hashtag #amazonhaul, which reached a total of 968,000,000 views. Whilst these videos may vary in terms of just how many items are being purchased and shared, they all contribute to this growing culture of ‘hauls’ as opposed to just buying singular items. Cambridge Dictionary defines the verb ‘haul’ (in the context of purchasing) as “all the things someone buys on an occasion when they go shopping”. Whilst there isn’t an exact number of items that qualify for a purchase to be a haul, the word itself in noun form is defined as “to pull or drag something heavy slowly and with great difficulty”, and the verb in the context to stealing is defined as “a usually large amount of something that has been stolen or is illegal”. Although the context of the use of haul on social media is different to the two previous additional definitions, and that a haul nowadays usually links to a purchase rather than theft, it can be summarised that the word ‘haul’ refers to a large quantity of objects in most of its contexts. I’ve noticed that there’s this expectation on social media to showcase moreness; instead of showing just one Dior lip oil, why not showcase your whole collection of Dior makeup? Instead of purchasing just one serum, why not fill up your whole bathroom cabinet with assorted skincare items? Even if the multiple items aren’t necessarily the focal point of the video, you’ll often see them in the background. The influencer isn’t ‘accidentally’ showcasing their collection of expensive products; they’re doing it because owning lots of objects is a sign of wealth and now considered an aspiration. I’ve found that almost every product review video is a haul, and in general, there’s just a huge growth in usage of the word and showcasing of them on social media. The frustrating thing is, if we normalise purchasing large quantities of things we do not need, it means buying singular objects is viewed as boring.
Haul culture is also very rooted in privilege. To be able to afford a large quantity of products, you need to have some kind of financial stability. The normalisation of bulk purchasing means that those who may not have the money to make these kinds of purchases feel insecure or embarrassed, when in reality, these hauls are actually not a good thing at all. Companies like SHEIN offer very cheap-priced (and very low quality) clothing, which has made hauls more accessible to those without a large disposable income. THIS IS NOT A GOOD THING! The whole issue with overconsumption is the more you consume, the more waste you produce. Normalising consuming such large quantities of products means subconsciously we’re normalising producing such large quantities of waste. And this haul culture has sparked the massive rise in fast fashion (According to Business of Apps ‘SHEIN Revenue and Usage Statistics 2024’, SHEIN generated $22.7 billion in 2022, a 44% increase on the $15.7 billion it made in 2021) which provides a sort of wear-once-throw-out culture to clothing that just keeps getting progressively worse.
This wear-once culture seen in ultra-fast fashion creates an endless cycle of overconsumption and microtrends. Good On You’s explanation of a ‘microtrend’ is “Micro trends take what you know about trends and accelerate the process: these trends rise to popularity quicker and then leave the trend cycle faster.” (Zhou, 2022). Due to just how quickly trends are moving these days (hence the title microtrends), fast fashion allows individuals to participate in this trend without spending a large amount of money, and due to the lack of quality of these products, it reduces the permanence of this trend, which then makes these microtrends move even faster. It’s a toxic cycle that feeds on overconsumption and haul culture, which in turn, feeds the cycle.
Overconsumption has also created a culture of consumer self-validation. As humans, we don’t want to do anything wrong, or to be perceived as doing something wrong. We try to validate our actions, both for ourselves and for others. Due to this inbuilt victim complex we all suffer from, we try to validate our purchasing habits in a world that promotes and villainizes consumerism. I’ve heard the sentence “I’ve been wanting this for so long!” or “I’ve been obsessed with this for ages!” used to validate hauls and large, unnecessary purchases so many times in these haul videos. Often, it’s a lie. Did you really want that pair of earrings, or was it just because two weeks ago they became a massive trend? I think it’s actually so much better to be honest about your purchasing habits. We’ve all purchased something because of a trend; it’s okay to participate in trends, that’s literally what they’re fed off. I think it’s just important to do so mindfully. Often, it takes me a little longer to ‘like’ a fashion trend enough to participate in it, and sometimes by the time I do join in, the trend has passed. But I find this little pocket of time gives me a moment to think about whether I actually like this trend; would I wear this again? Is it going to go out of style immediately? Is the product good quality and representative of my personal style? I feel like if people admitted, even just to themselves, that they purchased something because it was popular or trendy, we would become more mindful of our purchasing habits. By validating every purchase, we begin to lose track of what we actually like, and the impacts our actions have.
How can we teach ourselves how to consume mindfully without reinforcing haul culture, microtrends, fast fashion, and feeling guilty?
Take your time. In a world where it’s normalised to want something immediately (and I’m definitely a victim of this), wait a little and properly think over your decision. I struggle with being impatient, but recently, I’ve realised how much more I truly love my purchases when I’ve been thinking about them and building up excitement for them for a longer period of time. Also, it allows you to be mindful; you can consider whether you actually need this or just want it (and also, wanting something is not a bad thing. It’s just good to be mindful of how many of your wants you act upon) and whether it’s reflective of you as a person.
Trust the thrift gods. Kind of in relation to above, I’ve been trying to build the habit of waiting and letting myself think before making a purchase, and I’ve definitely been rewarded by the thrift gods for my patience these past few times! I purchased the perfect pair of square-toe Mary Janes from a local op-shop the other day for $12; I’d been looking at similar pairs online for months, and I knew they would work with my wardrobe and become a very cute, classic staple.
Remind yourself that consumerism is fuelled by haul culture. Why would a brand only try to sell you one item when it could sell you ten? Remember that those buy-two-get-one 20% off, $20 for two, spend $70 for free shipping deals are just a sneaky attempt to get you to spend more money, and in turn, consume you more. They trick you into thinking you’re missing out on a great deal if you don’t act quickly; you’re not. I’ve been a victim of these kinds of deals before and trust me, when I buy a clothing item for its price rather than its style, I end up wearing it so much less, just because I only really bought it because it was cheap! Same goes for sales; if something you’ve been wanting for a while goes on sale, amazing! But whenever you think of buying something on sale, consider whether you’d buy it full price. Are you getting that top because it’s cute or because it’s $10?
You are not a criminal for consuming. It’s human nature. But try to do so mindfully; you’ll actually feel better as a result of it, and if more people take baby steps to try to avoid overconsumption, that gross, speedy cycle will calm down. In the end, there’s never any harm in slowing down.
