thinking about kieran again... particularly about how i feel like he struggles with a weak sense of self and how him identifying so heavily with ogrepon, (or at least the version of ogrepon he originally knew,) probably helped him stabilize how he saw himself, only to have something he considered so core to his identity essentially ripped away from him. not only that, it was by someone he seemingly wanted to trust and open up to, (which i doubt he does very often.)

i definitely think that the way he's handling things is far from healthy, but i can get why he'd have such an intense reaction to losing something that was so important to him and basically being betrayed by someone he wanted to consider a friend.

K I've been thinking about this for like a week now. Ignoring any immortal headcanons if you have them. Knuckles knows he's not going to be able to guard the Master Emerald forever and that probably troubles him, but, if he was dying do you think he'd ask Sonic to guard it? He's the person with a unique connection to Chaos and the Chaos Emeralds and he's basically chosen one the most specialest guy, and one of the few people Knuckles could trust with that duty.

Of course I think Sonic would say no. I think he'd never be able to do that and he wouldn't want to.

god I know this is like The Wrong Stance on AI. I know its not about whether the art is Real and Human or If It Has A Soul and how a lot of the arguments against it are the same bullshit arguments people made against digital art like I Know. I Knowwww. but god, I'm really sorry, not to post like one of those annoying poetry bloggers I cant stand (yall are valid, live your truth, theres nothing wrong with what you post I'm just a petty bitch who hates poetry. unless I dont hate it.)

But theres just something about the way AI art will almost certainly never be able to mimic the exact way my pencil leaves an indentation in the paper, the way some of the lines I can never fully erase cause I pressed too hard, theyll have to at least train them to draw with a physical pencil first, and sure, they could train it to draw with a pencil and even erase the exact same piece I drew, line for line, on a piece of paper with a robot arm powered by AI, but they can't replicate. idk. the lineage of lefty bitches in my family, and the way I grew up going through school with my entire left arm silver with graphite, from doodling on my schoolwork. not yet anyway. but I guess I do live for the day we make the ai sentient enough that we can traumatize it by giving it homework after kneecapping its executive functions so it copes by drawing a big tiddy lobster monster. sure

watching NOPE again, and im obsessed with the part when Emerald and OJ get home after visting Jupiter's Claim. While they're tense with each other over Jupe's offer to buy the ranch, the shot is from the side with The Cloud in view most of the time. OJ walks out of the shot. And then Emerald takes a second (hits the vape) and the shot has changed. Its toward her, and as she reaches out to OJ, the shot is between them. Between ONLY THEM. He turns around to see her and BOTH of their backs are to The Cloud. And then they're hanging and doing sibling things. And everything about that scene makes me cheer and woop and shout for joy. Adore this fuckin movie

back at it again with more characters for my Star Trek story! this time I bring one of the main villains, as well as a handful of members of the Athena's crew

the first two characters were designs I came up with myself, but the remaining four were done with help from some friends. I got each of them to give me a Trek species and tell me if they were a civilian or Starfleet, and if they were Starfleet, to give me what track theyre in. im really pleased with the results! it was a great way to get down some designs

Chaos - Q - He/Him: one of the main villains of the story, a very old Q who went mad long ago. insane with power and absolutely obsessed with Mamotha, he causes a lot of problems for the Athena and her crew

Beek - Ferengi - He/Him: one of the servers at the Moondrop. he also has a side business of being a tailor, a career he was inspired to start after living on Deep Space Nine for several years. prides himself on quality work

Lieutenant Tavon - Vulcan - They/Them: an engineer, and a good friend of Larro's. wants to be a Chief Engineer themself one day

Desra Rhiohn - Trill (unjoined) - She/Her: a civilian author who requested to join the Athena so that she could write about the journey and the mission. she thinks her account will make her into one of the great writers of her time

Lieutenant Margost - Klingon - She/Her: a tactical officer with a brilliant mind for battle. she joined Starfleet during the Dominion War and quickly gained a couple ranks. always ready for the next battle

Ensign Chase Potter - Human (cybernetic ally augmented) - He/Him: a medical officer who was inspired to pursue a career in medicine after a serious accident in his youth nearly killed him. his life and senses were saved with cybernetic augmentations, and he aims to specialize in working with cybernetics in medicine
