So this tweet made a real good point and got me thinking about this scene:

As mentioned in their tweet, "you don't 'beg for mercy' for a job," and here he sounds so scared and desperate, like he's had to do this A LOT before with the directors and it's so... sad.

Before he finds out the truth about Eden, he believed they saved him from his former life and gave him new opportunities to continue his dreams, but do you think having to needlessly beg to keep your position as literally being the face of Eden out of fear you'll be replaced and thrown right back out to your old life is a so called dream come true?

Eden even made a trailer for a movie about his life to fame, showing how everyone was rejecting him as a person, which they definitely made it more simplified like I KNOW he was getting way worse treatment than what was shown.

My main point is that despite believing in Eden's motives (before knowing the truth), he still wasn't truly happy deep down. He was STILL getting rejected and slandered by society, and he knew that deep down, so it's not surprising how the possibility of him losing his job made him have a whole breakdown and do the things he did to try and cope.

He quite literally has no one to lean to and hasn't had anyone since showing up to Eden besides the directors (because he probably believed they were treating him fairly and with respect), but... yeah.

He wanted to make a difference, to give hope to hybrids, and he thought he was doing just that. Despite the way the directors and everyone thought of him, despite how alone he felt, he still thought he was achieving his dreams and sharing that onto others

and yet... he was being used this entire time. None of it was true, all the hard work and the things he went through was for nothing.

Everything that Eden has done, and he was the face of it all... it's just devastating.

i like the game so far!

at this time, ive been judging the controls, story, characters, and combat of wuwa and compare it genshin

there are things i like, and things i feel meh about (it hasnt been out for even a week yet so im cool with it for now)

however, i have been more raised eyebrow towards the characters and controls of the game. since they are the key things that make me stay besides a cool story

ive mainly noticed there are some quality of life features they miss compared to genshin. but also some that they have that genshin doesnt

i chant praises for the features and gameplay they have genshin doesnt. but get pretty frustrated about what they dont have

i always try to reason that its basically an infant at the moment, but gamer rage gets the best of me frequently

so (like with genshin sometimes), i roar my frustrations at my screen

“ugh, genshin has this! why dont you?”

“oh my god, you are so slow.”

“yeah, yeah, ive seen this all before. when do things get interesting?”

sighing, huffing, and palming my face in irritation

and they hear this, and are conflicted

but similarly to traveler in the beginning, i think rover would be the only one to be self aware at this point. the others still have to gain it

so besides their memory lost, theyre also dealing with an unknown and higher being that controls them. with no way to prevent it, or predict when the next time they do will happen

they are conflicted further when they realize theyre helping them get stronger and achieve the same goal as them

what does this mean? who is this? and why are they helping them if they sound like they hate them so much?

Instead of the autism that makes you good at tech or the autism that gives you encyclopedic knowledge of a tv show, I got the one that makes me really interested in playing cards.

Originally in France, the 12 face cards that we have today each represented a person, typically a mythological or historical figure. The Queen of Hearts was Judith from the Bible- the young woman who slayed the invading General Holofernes in order to save her people, which is depicted in the most badass gruesome painting ever by Artemisia Gentileschi. The Jack of Clubs was Sir Lancelot- yes, that one; out of all of King Arthur's best and most trusted men, he was number 1, second only to the king in many respects.

Both roles of these figures matched Sabo incredibly, so I tried to create both cards in one image, taking the color balances from both and attempting the line style of standard face cards. This went through.. a lot of versions, and idk if I'm happy with it, especially with my difficulty drawing limbs, and it's hard to make one eye pop with these five colors, but damn if it doesn't look cool.

Edit 3/3: "If I don't finish, I'll just submit this" version below the cut, looks better but I like it less
