#but you don't necessarily live with friends for more than 50% of your day
Tumblr media
I still haven't posted anything about ace x senku (because fuck him), but I'm thinking about how that ship handles our dynamic.
Fundamentally, ace x senku and mikace are the same exact ship. INTP x INTP at our very worst. Competitive and methodical and lofty goals and misunderstandings and over analyzing motivations.
But where mikace becomes very codependent very quickly, even just as friends - ace x senku is forced apart right when we would have become codependent, and have to grow as individuals separately from each other. I think Senku is dead for a good while. Senku has to learn how to work through his blocks without me there to bounce ideas off of.
Which is why Ryusui is an important part of ace x senku. I have to learn to heal from Senku's "betrayals" (yes, plural) and Ryusui provides the love and understanding for me to do that. Ryusui grounds me and shows me a different way of viewing the world. I haven't figured out our break-up yet, but I know that it's going to be amicable and as friends. Ryusui is going to realize that the person I need, now that I've grown and healed, isn't him. And he'll be okay with it because he just wants to see me happy.
Mikace doesn't learn how to exist without each other. We break up every other week. We make our friends pick sides. When we're younger (15/16) we get into cat fights. More than once, we've both ended up with black eyes and sprained wrists or ankles because we thought a sparring match would help solve an argument. We do eventually grow as individuals, but all of our growth happens much too late in the relationship and only after a dozen or so interventions, led by Takemichi.
So yeah, mikace and ace x senku are the same ship, fundamentally. They both bring out the worst in me, and I believe I'd bring out the worst in them (this is also why mikace is exclusively final timeskip). But because of a correctly timed Tsukasa, ace x senku is a much healthier ship (when we get there, eventually; it's pretty toxic for a long while after the empire is dissolved).
#mikace#senkace#i try really hard not to fall into intp x intp ships#i don't put any real stock in mbti#i think it's just fun#but i do see a lot of myself in characters that have been labeled as intp (by fandom)#mikey senku kenma frieren waver ranpo belphie#and i know that if i had to deal with a second me it wouldn't end well for either of us#being friends isn't as bad#i think kenma osamu and i are bffs in daisugace (tanaka definitely isn't jealous)#but you don't necessarily live with friends for more than 50% of your day#and it is absolutely that close proximity to each other that results in 95% of my intp x intp ships being hella toxic#thank you for coming to my ted talk 🫡#now for the tag ramblings that actually go with this post:#i intentionally didn't include the ways mikace changes in#rincemakasuke#because there are a lot of players in the game that eventually get us to a healthy-ish place#rin and ran and shinichiro provide me with a family that i desperately need#keisuke and takashi show me that it's possible to be loved unconditionally#mikey figures out that he's aromantic and that's where 85% of our fights originate#kazutora and i help each other heal from our traumas#chifuyu hakkai and peh always meet me where i'm at with zero expectations#whereas the only 'outside' influence in ace x senku is ryusui#so it didn't feel right to write from rincemakasuke#the growth requires a lot bigger support network and is therefore a bit more extrinsic vs intrinsic#jeez i hope all these tags save 😭#divider from cafekitsune

Astro Observations 2.0
Tumblr media
Thank you all for 222 followers! <3
Take these observations for what they are: personal observations.
Super duper long because I love you all. :)
Aries moons tend to always be on the move. Often times, these natives have something energetically "off" at home which results in them not even wanting to be there. They're the type to always be at work or at their friend's place. May have parents they want to get away from. At least one of their parents leans toward a more masculine energy.
You cannot be in your feelings when you talk to a Virgo moon. Their love language is literally telling you all the ways you can improve yourself. It's not necessarily that they're trying to make you feel some type of way, they genuinely don't think there's anything offensive about it. They're naturally attracted to "fixer-uppers" and they love a good project. Only problem is, people are not your projects and your loved ones are allowed to be flawed.
On the note of Virgo moons, they also have a tendency to be permanently unimpressed. My mom has this placement and my sister and I always wanted grand reactions to the stuff we did as kids, but we never got them. Even to this day, my mom is the queen of giving absolutely nothing extra energetically lol. They literally look like this emoji --->😐. Unless they have fire placements, they tend to be the definition of stoicism.
I've been studying the relationship between Scorpio moons and their mothers for a while now because it is such an interesting dynamic. I noticed in the past, that Scorpio moon natives may experience a rather controlling mother figure, but I've recently noticed that this controlling nature goes both ways. Yes, their mother has control over them and their actions, but they have just as much control over her too. They're almost like puppets to each other. It's an incredibly intriguing dynamic that honestly leaves me speechless. Makes you wonder, in these specific situations, "Is anyone here truly the victim?"
We've talked about how moon signs can manifest and what your mother may have taught you, but what I have yet to touch on is how your moon sign reflects your mother's pregnancy experience. I've studied this a bit and I think my mom is the perfect example! My sister and I have opposing moon signs: Cancer and Capricorn. I've spoken to my mom in-depth about both her pregnancies and here is how she describes them:
-Pregnancy with Cancer moon: she was overweight, gained 50+ lbs during her pregnancy, used food to cope with her abusive relationship, was on bedrest, too depressed to do or go anywhere, spent most of her days in the house crying.
-Pregnancy with Capricorn moon: she was in amazing physical condition, gained less than 20 lbs during pregnancy (10 lbs of that was baby), had endless energy, worked out every day, worked overtime at her job, was broken up from my dad, lived alone, was in her bag.
Opposite moon signs and two completely different pregnancies!! Crazy, right?!
I've heard the theory that Capricorn moons are the eldest child, which is true in many cases. However, in my experience as a Capricorn moon, I'm the youngest and my eldest sister is a Cancer moon. But that doesn't debunk my "big sister" energy lol. My sister has always referred to me as her "big little sister" and when we were younger and my mom left us home alone, she always left me in charge. My Cancer moon sister was known for her big emotions and ability to quickly lose control. This dynamic has always been funny to me. Ex. We had a tornado watch (super rare where I live) and my sister was running around the house screaming and crying. While I was calmly in my bedroom playing dolls keeping it kosher. 🤣
God really did give his toughest battles to Virgo, Scorpio and Capricorn moons. No one else is doing it like us! We came equipped with everything we needed to handle ALL the bs in our families.
Don't scorch me fire moons, but where is the personal accountability? I've seen water signs talk their way out of some situations, but the way a fire moon will dance around the truth really needs to be studied. I made this observation before and a Sag moon came for me which is how you know it's true. 😭
Moon sign compatibility is so real y'all. As an earth moon, I mainly form deep connections and bonds with other earth moons and *some* water moons. The other elements just don't do it for me. Even with my fire placements & degrees, I still struggle to understand fire moons.
I've read before that Leo moons have a tendency to be selfish, which I concur depending on the situation. But I think the reason why some of them act like this is because often times, they are either the only child or the favorite child. So they literally don't know what it means to compromise or not get their way. I've only met 2 Leo moons (that I know of) years apart and they both had the same tendencies and personality. Let me know if you've had a more positive experience with this moon sign!
Fixed moons may have mothers who are very controlling over their lives. Their mothers have a “fixed” idea of what their child’s life should look like. They have a tendency to have a puppet & puppeteer relationship. I’ve noticed that because of this, these natives tend to have one area of their lives that their mother can’t control and they spiral out of control in that area. Kinda like a “look mom, you can’t control me in EVERY way” type thing. The most common areas I’ve noticed this in is their sex lives and drugs/alcohol use.
Of course the above note is based on personal experience. I’ve heard quite a few mothers of fixed moons say to other people: “I made them do this” “there was no way I was gonna let them not do this…” like the kid has no choice in the matter.
Okay, enough about moon signs. For now...
Tumblr media
This may not be too popular with the astro girlies buttt I believe we have a tendency to attract the versions of signs we speak into existence. For example, when I first started studying astrology, I was sick to my stomach to see that I was a Sagittarius rising because I had back-to-back experiences with Sagittarius suns stabbing me in the back, so I told myself they were the worst. In time, I wanted to accept all of my chart which included my own Sag placements. I had to heal my understanding and perception of them to see them differently. Now, I attract the funniest and kindest Sag suns! It all started with me. This is your sign to heal your trauma with that placement. 🤍 (yes, this is also a message to myself). What you see won't change until you change what you see!
If there's anything a mutable rising is gonna do it's change their physical appearance.
Earth risings, rising at earth degree, or chart ruler in earth house: these people are less likely to take bold chances and risks with their appearances. Not really the type to dye their hair crazy colors, although they are quick to get visible tattoos.
Virgo in big 6 appears naturally put together. They don't really have to get ready because they stay ready. And they expect the same from you, especially if you're their romantic partner. This is amplified if they have Libra or Leo placements.
I’ve noticed Virgo suns and risings are much less likely to wear makeup. I see them with it maybe once a year and even then it’s like one coat of mascara and some highlighter. One thing I have heard a lot of Virgo women say is that they literally don’t know how to do their makeup which may factor into why they don’t wear it. Virgo moons however do tend to wear makeup.
Aries and Scorpio placements are very protective of their loved ones. One wrong look in their direction and they're ready to pounce.
Gemini-Sagittarius axis: if there's one thing these placements are gonna do it's laugh at absolutely nothing for an extended period of time.
Taurus and Libra placements, do you really need that new blouse? Or that new stationary knowing dang well you have more than enough? No, put it back. Aht! PUT IT BACK. And keep your receipts, so when you get home from that impulsive purchase, you can bring it right back where you got it from.
Tumblr media
Something about Virgo, Scorpio, Sagittarius and Capricorn placements in dark academia that really does something to me chile...dark academia was made for us!
Saturn rules teeth. Saturn placements and aspects can describe your teeth’s appearance and health. Saturn aspecting Jupiter may have larger teeth. Aspecting Mercury may result in the native having smaller teeth or possibly getting veneers. Saturn aspecting Venus can manifest as the native receiving many compliments on their teeth/smiles. In the case of harsher aspects, the native can feel their teeth directly hinder their perceived beauty.
I’ve noticed people with prominent Gemini/Virgo/Mercury placements are much more likely to have gaps in between their front teeth. Often times, this is a result of their teeth being on the smaller side.
Virgo placements (esp. moons) can have naturally “perfect” teeth that don’t require braces. But upon closer inspection, you can see their teeth are not perfect, but rather, the imperfections are so minuscule you have to truly look to find them.
Libra Suns typically go for either the relaxed look (very natural appearance, not much makeup) or all the frills (makeup, couture, luxury). I have yet to see an in between. Libras with Scorpio/8th house influence enjoy darker colors and go for a much more relaxed look. More likely to portray a dark feminine embodiment of Venus or a more natural feminine. Especially if they have Virgo placements.
Aries suns (males and females) are the BIGGEST sweethearts and I don’t see enough people praise them for their pure hearts. 🥹

25. Who is someone you admire?
29. Who are your favorite characters?
52. How would your friends and/or family describe you? How different are you really to what they’d describe you with?
53. How would you respond if someone is rude to you or has done you wrong?
58. How important is writing to you?
Who is someone you admire?
Someone I admire? Good question.... I suppose, for non-internet people, that's still my stepdad. Who is no longer with us, but... guy was pretty wise and very intelligent, had all manner of careers in his life and tons of good life experience and advice. Very humorous and goofy and good with kids. Well.... we had been very close. So yeah. Even while he also had glaring faults (like many people do), I admire him.
(He also definitely had OCD. But hey, so do I.)
Who are your favorite characters?
Well, aside from Luci here (who is the newest fav and also a comfort character), I also really love Goku, Minato (from Naruto), Crona (Soul Eater), Rin Okumura (Blue Exorcist), Seras Victoria (Hellsing Ultimate), Izuku Midoria (My Hero Academia), Edward Elric (Fullmetal Alchemist), Tomoya (CLANNAD).... that's what comes to mind off the top of my head.
Goku was my previous comfort character before Lucifer. He had held the position since 2015 or so.
How would your friends and/or family describe you? How different are you really to what they’d describe you with?
Hm.... I thiiiink......
Friends generally say I'm super nice, chill.... family would definitely say that I'm incredibly messy and disorganized.
I don't think that's necessarily inaccurate, though.... I'm a bit less nice than I used to be.... more easily annoyed, for sure. Though I keep those thoughts to myself and still generally assume the best about others. Still.... working customer service for 5 years will do that, lol!
How would you respond if someone is rude to you or has done you wrong?
You know, it.... I've had plenty of these scenarios. Generally.... I am extremely non-confrontational. I'd rather deal with shit than rock the boat.
One time someone stole my dog. I spent 3 days looking for him, puting up posters, walking door to door in my neighborhood, etc. And then someone told me they saw a facebook post from a coworker with a picture of my dog, gave me information on where this person lived, etc.
They were in my neighborhood, which is to be expected.
We attempted to make contact, they ignored us. Finally, got the police involved, at which point, they finally showed their face and brought the dog out.
They were like I spent money on this dog, etc.... look, I just wanted my fur baby back, I didn't want to argue. Ended up giving them the $50 in my savings account because I didn't want to keep arguing over shit. ....it was all the money I had at the time, as I was unemployed.
If that doesn't tell you what a pushover I am, or at least used to be, then.... yeah.
I might not be that extremely easy to manipulate these days, but.... still tend to be very much conflict avoidant. Generally, rather forgive easily and move on.
.....now. If someone wrongs someone else, especially someone vulnerable, then I'm going to be much angrier than if they had wronged me.
How important is writing to you?
Writing is important to me in so far as it is a vehicle by which I indulge in my hyperfixations. It's been a way to express myself creatively since I was 11! I remember sharing my little fanfictions with my stepdad, who was very enthusiastic about my endeavors. (I didn't know it was called fanfiction at the time, but that's what it was!)

MBTI & fantasies of ruling the world
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
In approximate order of importance... the factors that make you more likely to fantasize about world domination are:
1) Intuitive (high Ni or Ne). Driven by vision or possibilities.
2) Rational (high Ti or Te). Driven by logic or efficiency.
If you're high Si or Se (Sentinels + Explorers), your bias for upholding the status quo or enjoying the present moment make you less likely to fantasize about world domination.
Strategies = style of engaging, differs by social style (introvert/extrovert) & resistance to stress (turbulent/assertive)
Ranges from 40-50%. I.e. Strategies doesn't seem to be a significant predictor for whether a person has fantasies of omniscience / omnipotence.
Confident Individualism: Introvert, Assertive (x)
83% say they’re comfortable breaking rules they disagree with.
Only 29% say they usually mirror the behavior of other people around them.
63% describe themselves as very independent.
56% say that control over their mindset is the most important factor in determining their happiness.
Constant Improvement: Introvert, Turbulent (x)
79% of Constant Improvers say they often dwell on their regrets.
96% of Constant Improvers say they often feel misunderstood.
Constant Improvers’ longing for “something more” extends to their professional lives. This doesn’t necessarily mean that Constant Improvers are in the wrong careers for them – although they might wonder if they are. This restlessness doesn’t have to be a bad thing. In fact, restlessness can be an incredible motivator to do great things. The trouble comes when Constant Improvers feel trapped: wanting to make a change, but suspecting they’re unable or helpless to do so. This feeling can have a number of roots, such as self-doubt or a general worry that other people don’t “get” them.
These personalities are often curious about and sensitive to others’ feelings. This can make them excellent listeners, friends, confidants, and partners.
These personality types often exemplify how sensitivity and vulnerability can be hidden strengths. Their attunement to their own struggles and insecurities can help them to bond deeply with others. It can also motivate them to act with kindness and compassion.
People Mastery: Extroverted, Assertive (x)
75% say they’re good at executing their ideas – more than any other Strategy.
Only 35% of People Masters say they often feel regret.
26% of People Masters say they’re good at attracting new partners – far more than any other Strategy.
91% of People Masters are comfortable challenging their boss’s direction if necessary.
79% of People Masters say they see problems as opportunities. These personality types trust themselves to tackle hard problems – and to gain insight and experience from the process. Ideally, this conviction becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy, with People Masters taking on ever harder challenges and learning important lessons along the way.
Social Engagement: Extroverted, Turbulent. (x)
95% agree: helping others boosts self-esteem.
75% prefer love over respect
56% admire their bosses.
45% view fear as something they must overcome. This puts them on par with their Assertive counterparts.
Assertive don't feel they have something to prove (by daydreaming about world domination). Introverts probably feel they would stretch themselves thin.
I'm in my Constant Improvement era right now, striving for People Mastery (Extroverted, Assertive): a state of resting in motion, borne of conviction in my own values and place in the world.
I would say my brother is Social Engagement and Constant Improvement. He waffles between introvert and extrovert, but Turbulence is the common theme, unfortunately.
Assertive vs Turbulent (x)
Assertive personalities dwell less on regrets, feel more confident facing day-to-day difficulties, believe they have a healthy ego, less likely to feel negative emotions when comparing themselves to others. Though, they can also be overconfident/over-optimistic.
Turbulent personalities are more sensitive/focused on negatives (both past, present, and future). Focus on doing things to stave off self-doubt, fear of stagnation. Progress/change may depend on these restless/discontent individuals.

C, K, and M for the ask game
(fandom ask game)
C - A ship you have never liked and probably never will.
Can I say 90% of ships in fandom…? No? I usually only ship characters is when they've interwined their lives together, are kinda funny to make 👀 jokes about, or make for an entertaining trainwreck to watch.
The only thing that really comes to mind is like. The Obligatory Straight ships in kids' media. Most of the M/F canon ships in My Little Pony. Henry and Ellie when the THSC fandom was far more filled with kids. Literally everything the Ninjago writers have ever done.
I'm arospec and lean towards being gay otherwise, and I frankly do not care for how widespread some of these become despite having absolutely nothing to them. If you're going to be boring, at least be gay about it. And if you're going to be straight, at least be interesting about it.
M - Name a character that you’d like to have for a friend.
Oh, easy. Pretty much anybody from the virtual pet MMOs I played in the day. Aunt Arctic, Dot, Arte Fact, my Webkinz… the list goes on. That was how I survived primary school, actually. I like a lot of characters that are fun and nice from the fiction I read. Rarity. Garmadon. I'll stop before this gets long.
Does it count if I say the OCs I have in my head currently that I've never mentioned out loud? The two OCs that I have in my head currently that I've never said out loud. The maths-muse Webkinz and the physics goose. Also the cringe-ass 50 year old Asian trans statistician from that universe.
K - What character has your favorite development arc/the best development arc?
Huh. Questions that make me realise I don't actually read books for development arcs all that often. And that my favourite arcs aren't necessarily always the most deeply written.
Also. Questions that I did not think would have as long of an answer as they did, but apparently I haven't properly analysed Bojack Horseman and Dorian Gray yet, so:
Edgeworth was the first guy to come to mind for 'best', and I've already explained why, so I won't repeat myself again. Instead I'll point you towards Diane Nguyen from Bojack Horseman. The show is 6 seasons long, so my comments don't even begin to cover all the nuances of her character, but regardless she's one of the best characters I've seen on TV for a while. You can really tell from just this one character that the writers have really had time to reflect on the subject of feminism and trauma.
Side note: Tuca and Bertie does this too (and is a more fun show to boot), but I've yet to get to the relevant episodes and hence don't want to write about them yet.
While the series is named for Bojack, I'd argue Diane's equally important in its narrative. The story begins with her coming into his life, and ends with their last meeting years afterwards. Diane's an incredibly empathetic character with a strong sense of justice - if you were watching the series back then, you probably knew this from the fact some charming people hated her for her openly feminist beliefs - but this extends to every aspect of her life, including how she keeps hanging around the endlessly destructive Bojack Horseman.
Throughout the course of the show, you get to see the writers slowly unpack the cause of that attitude and what it entails. She has to face the horrifying misogyny rooted in all sides of entertainment and finds out that simply showing people the truth isn't an instant solution; she goes to a war-torn nation to try to help and has to realise that the selfish billionaire there can do more with his selfish attitude than her caring one; she has to unpack the fact that her own suffering won't make her a better person (that last one also got applied to her being a writer specifically which. hit me hard).
But eventually, she just has to come to terms with life being comfortable, and not having to stick around to fix things (and people). She gets medicated, leaves LA behind, and finds a family that's not perfect, but supports her. It's slow and it's heartwrenching, but you get to see her slowly move out of hell as she grows up and makes a better life for herself.
Now, my favourite is a tossup between Jester from Dicey Dungeons and Dorian Gray from… well. Dorian Gray, for completely diametric reasons.
Jester's not as deep as any of the other characters here, but their story of rebelling and escaping is inspiring. Dicey Dungeons first hit me in a time of my life where I was trying my best to hold onto the past as much as I could, even though it was making me unhappy. Seeing a (non-white, nonbinary) character from a game I wasn't expecting to enjoy at all risk their current situation for the outside world and the promise of friendship and something better was…
I'm not going to pretend that eased my worries or helped me at the time, but in retrospect it's a really nice touch. It's hilarious when they return and immediately get a restraining order and better boundaries with Lady Luck. I think it's thematically appropriate how none of the dice don't really ever get one over on the personification of fate all that, but they can still live a good life and annoy her, even if just slightly, by doing so. Witch also kinda does but she's not got nearly as much character so
I have semi-strong, petty opinions on Reunion's character writing actually I just remembered
And while Dorian Gray isn't really in the spirit of what fandom means when it says character development, I'm putting him here anyways because he's still very well written. The book is a gripping look at how self-centredness and privilege can so thoroughly twist a person's development for the worse.
I don't believe that was fully the original intent (there's a lot of poorly aged, pseudo-scientific messages the book sends), but it still manages to come out as really the only conclusion to what that sort of rich brat in real life becomes.
Even though Dorian starts out pretty passive and charming, from the very beginning of the book, it's reinforced that he always has the capacity to be selfish and uncaring. His artist friend Basil states that he feels like he's given his whole soul to someone who treats it if it were a flower in his pocket. And it's fascinating to see that even when the plot progresses to him doing worse things - like sentencing his fiancée to (social) suicide because she did one bad stage performance for 3 hours - he keeps this perception of himself.
His actions develop in the worst possible way, while his self-perception does not. It's horrifying to think about as you see him become increasingly content with driving others to suicide, and eventually murdering one of his closest friends for the crime of being horrified at his soul jar and asking him to reconsider his actions.
And the best thing is: Dorian remarks near the end of the book that Lord Wotton (his other main friend) poisoned him with hedonistic monologues and weird conservative tangents. But the thing is, Henry Wotton is otherwise just a normal guy. He's a Tory that puffs up his chest a lot, sure, but he hasn't actually done anything. There's even a bit where Henry remarks he wishes he knew a real murderer, and Dorian nearly faints because he's just killed someone.
The decision to become that person was all Dorian. He spends the entire book choosing to get worse at every opportunity, and suffering the delayed consequences of it. It's very intriguing to see.

This is the apartment complex that we said we were demolishing and replacing. And really we're not that into fixing Max mistakes and his economy blows and his system blows and his guys suck and they're not doing that much. And they're not really pulling all the debris out. So there's a hazard and it's for one of us but he is in harm's Way and those canals could flood quite easily in the next few days and he might be underwater. So we need solutions he has enough money to last for a month in the hotel and really these people don't give him anything to survive with we need to do something to help him not necessarily all these people
Thor Freya
It's sad for over a year like this empty and abandoned and it smells it stinks it's a hazard it's rotting and attracting insects and they're not doing anything with it the propane tank is half full these people are s***

Nuada Arrianna

Garth
There's a lot of people out here who don't like us they won't let us do the renovation work we're doing it elsewhere but really California sucks and they won't let us and that's where it hit mostly and parts of the South with these assholes are and the deep South the rest of it we're fixing and they attacked messages along with this a****** Tommy F cuz that's the story and he knows it they were inundated and they're attacking us with armies they'd rather live like s*** I'll tell you the truth this is how they used to living and our friend is kind of used to it is not really that mad but it's getting to the point where it's stupid there's nothing to do all day no money barely enough charge to get back on his bike and I got to tell you the driving around sheriff trucks harassing him for taking a picture and now I want him gone so we're going to go after that f**** Dan

Are real people as kind as you characters? I mean, it's not just yours, other fictional people are like that too, but what do YOU say? Are you guys actually like that on the inside?
today i got a coffee on my lunch break and a man had his daughter on his hip and two coffees in his hands and he held the door open for me anyway
i went to go pick up a skirt that was being held for me and the employee said to me “uhg, i’m so tired, the coffee hasn’t kicked in yet” and i said “your hair is so beautiful” because it was long and red and shiny and had blown out curls and she perked up and said “thanks! it’s to distract from the fact that i didn’t put on makeup this morning”
i was driving home and i realized i was in the wrong lane and i needed to move over and a car slowed down so i could merge in front of them
that was just today
whether or not you think people are kind is a sort of confirmation bias, i think
if you go through life expecting people to be terrible, that’s what you’ll remember, that’s what you’ll focus on
but if you go through life looking for kindness, that’s what you’ll find
overtip your waiters. let the car go in ahead of you. smile at the homeless person and give them your spare change. compliment people.
you yourself are likely never more than one rushed morning away from a bad mood, one missed paycheck away from suffering, one accident away from ruin
you are probably not a politician or a ceo or a god. you cannot remake the world in your own image
but you can make other people’s lives easier and softer in small, effortless ways that cost you nothing. you can be the silver lining not just for your friends and family but for hundreds of thousands of strangers you haven’t even met yet. life is nothing but one opportunity after another to both show and be shown kindness
life can be cruel. people can be terrible.
but the simplest way to increase the number of kind people in the world is to be one

sometimes people are absolutely WILD about comments, acting like the idea that they shouldn’t be a jerk is a violation of their first amendment rights
last week i read a fic i HATED. it was well written and highly recommended and i wish i had never read it. hours of my life i will never get back.
i disagreed with: it’s interpretation on canon, it’s take on mental health, the social contract between loved ones, recovery, trauma, boundaries, and ... more tbh
i could NOT stop thinking about how much i disagreed with it. me and this fic have philosophical differences so large i could give a ted talk and i was still super irritated about it days later.
so you know what i did?
i called up my friends and was like “you guys have no context but i’m going to bitch about this fic you haven’t read in this fandom you haven’t consumed for the next thirty minutes” and they were like “okay sure it’s a tuesday night, we’re in a pandemic, i have nothing better to do”
what did i not do?
leave a comment on this person’s fic because i’m a human person

wish there was a non rude way to be like "I understand your criticism, I don't even necessarily disagree with it, but I am doing these things on purpose, because I like them and I want to, and therefore your opinion has no value, because you might think me painting a room entirely pink is tacky, but I did it on purpose"

in the sixth months after graduating from college, with my very expensive degree from a good college, i ate nothing but bread. i worked at a bakery / cafe / restaurant and got half off one meal per shift but it was still too expensive even then. but at the end of every night we would throw out all the bread loaves that hadn’t sold, which was most of them, every night. we would fill up ten boxes to give away to a shelter and then we could take anything we could carry, and i couldn’t afford a half off deconstructed sandwich, but i could fill the cabinets of my apartment with bread. everyone who worked there was just like me, subsisting on discarded, overpriced bread.
(when the managers’ backs were turned i was taught to leave the trashbags of bread behind the dumpster rather than inside it, because it was locked after everyone left to prevent people from stealing from it. we would say we were going out to stack chairs and instead stack prepackaged salads prepared that morning in the narrow space between wall and dumpster, but that’s not what this is about.)
we were working valentine’s day, a little bit miserable about it, because customers are somehow worse on a holiday about love, and even if we were single we didn’t want to be here, and most of us had people we’d rather be spending the day with, and the snappish, hardass manager was working that day, and everyone could not wait for the day to be over.
we had a boxes of those bakery tissue sheets around and i was twisting it in my hands and i thought about how the first night my uncle spent with my aunt he had to get up early for work but didn’t want to wake her and the whole thing hadn’t been planned, exactly, so he (a roofer by trade and a golden glove boxer by sport) went into the kitchen and took some paper towels and twisted them between his big, scarred hands until it formed a sweeter shape and when my aunt work up it was to a paper towel rose on her pillow.
so i used a couple sheets of bakery tissue to make a rose and walked up to my coworker who stared at me with a rictus smile and i gave it to her, trying not overthink if it was a weird thing to do. her smile slipped and she asked “you made this?” holding it carefully, like it wasn’t something her two year old son could have made with his pudgy hands, and i shrugged and got more milk from the back.
then another coworker held the steamer too long when frothing milk, not on accident but because he was irritated, so i rolled another rose and tucked it in his apron pocket as i walked by. then it was just one more of us up front and it was nothing, thirty seconds of twisting paper to take the stack of cookies out of her hands and hand her a tissue paper rose, her lined face lifting into a grin as she proudly tucked it into the chest pocket of her shirt and i may as well have been standing in front of the ovens for how hot my face felt.
it was such a silly thing to do, i felt ridiculous, giving away hastily constructed tissue paper roses on valentine’s day, clumsy artful garbage. then one of the servers walked by and noticed and so i made her one too, and then other servers came by, leaning over the glass, and complimenting the flowers with big eyes, and i laughed and made more, still not sure if it was sincere, but even if it wasn’t, i figured making them one and handing it over was better than saying no.
then i went to the back again and the dishwasher yelled out “where’s mine? what about us?” and he was too sweet to ever be anything less than sincere, so someone kept an eye on the door to the manager’s office as i stood in the sweltering kitchen and rolled clumsy tissue paper roses, enough for everyone
and by the time the day ended, everyone had one, everyone wore one, tucked in their shirt or their apron or stuck in their hair or taped to the top of their pen. everyone was a little less miserable, smiling like we were all on in on the joke, although i don’t think any of us knew the punchline
this story doesn’t have a punchline either. i just sometimes think of how much better some crumpled tissue paper made things and think that it can be that easy, sometimes, if we’re sincere and don’t overthink it too much

I worked at a McDonald's as a cashier in high school and it was during a time when they changed their POS system (point of sale, not piece of shit) so everything was now in a slightly different, less logical place, but I was working 20ish hours a week so I picked it up really quickly
Anyway I was out with my friend in the next town over and we went to a McDonald's because she really wanted an ice tea and we go through the drive through. The man greets us out of the little speaker and asks for our order and she says "Hi! Could I get a large sweet ice tea please?"
Silence.
Longer silence.
And I knew in my heart what was happening.
So I leaned over and said, "It's on page two of drinks, under juice, then the third one down."
Another much shorter silence.
Then:
"What the - how the hell did... Uh. I mean. Thank you?"
And it's been literally ten years but I'm still riding the high from that.

Hey! I'm fairly new here and I have a pretty uncommon take on Kaylor. But I just wanna start off by saying I try my best to be as supportive of LGBT people as possible and if they're both bisexual, then I would be 100% okay with that! I'm not trying to "defend their heterosexuality" or anything, I think that's really weird
Okay, so my personal theory is that Kaylor did happen, but that Taylor and Karlie are both straight. I know that might sound contradictory, but I say this based on my own personal experiences based on how I am with my best friend. I think Karlie and Taylor's relationship might have been similar in some ways to ours
Right, so I'm straight and I'm not into women in the gay kind of way (but it's completely cool that some girls are), and I have this roommate who's gorgeous. Really gorgeous, she's like a 10/10 "I would sell my kidney to look like you" kind of girl. She's very attractive, she has like tan skin and long legs and gorgeous brown hair and pretty eyes and nice lips and just like… she's just very good looking. I'm definitely jealous of her body, I won't even pretend I'm not 😪 I lowkey hate her because of it (jk)
We've been living together since not long before COVID started, and we're very good friends. There were three of us before, but our other roommate went back home to stay with her parents until in person classes are back on and we agreed to it and worked something out because she has really bad anxiety so we understood her reasoning for it
Anyway so it's just been us two and because we've been at home a lot during this time instead of out for most of the day like before, we've gotten to know each other a lot better and have become a lot closer. We were already friends from before, but now we're like super close besties, we've been hanging out a lot together and playing board games, watching movies, helping each other with essays, just having long conversations about anything and everything, etc
Like it's been so nice having a best friend that I can be this close to now because I haven't had a best friend since I was a kid
So my friend and I were having like a conversation last year about how hard it's been in quarantine not being able to go on dates and how we miss kissing people, and so we decided to just like, make out for fun you know. I mean, there's not really anything that's inherently romantic or sexual about making out, that's just society that says that. But tbh I think making out with your friends if you want to should be normalized, it's fun and it can even be emotional sometimes. It's not that different from hugging people
After a couple of weeks or so, I think we got bored of just making out with each other and decided to like, fully hook up. It started off because we were modelling lingerie for each other for banter and were pretending we were each other's runway judges and then I think we just decided to hook up with each other as like part of the whole "game". I can't remember who initiated it now, I think it might have been me as a joke lol
Like just in a platonic way for fun, as a kind of substitute until we can go back into society
And tbh I always expected hooking up with a woman to be like mediocre and boring and awkward, but although it was a bit hard to get the hang of at first and there was a learning curve, it's actually very enjoyable. Like I was very surprised actually at how hot it can be, I think I can maybe see why bisexual women and lesbians like doing it
Anyway we both liked it and we just carried on hooking up on the regular and it's been like 8 months now and tbh I just think it's very sweet and heartwarming, like it actually makes me feel a little emotional how we're close enough and care about each other enough that we can even help each other out with the physical intimacy side of things so that we don't get sexually frustrated while we're stuck in lockdown
I just think it's really cool and we even sleep in the same bed most of the time now because tbh what's the point in sleeping alone when you can sleep in the same bed as someone else? It's nicer, like you can cuddle and stuff
Anyway, I think that maybe Kaylor's relationship might have been similar. I think they're both straight but they became really close friends in a short space of time, and that their friendship was so intense that it became physical but in a platonic way
I think lesbians and bisexual women are amazing and I have so much respect for you guys for accepting yourselves in a society that tries to erase you, and I think there definitely needs to be more wlw representation on TV and in movies
But at the same time, I would also like there to be more close female friendships like the one that me and my friend have where you can just talk about everything together and do things that society usually reserves for romantic partners, but in a platonic way. Because female friendship is really important and beautiful, whether that's between straight women like me and my friend who I think is probably straight too, or between queer women because one thing I've learnt during my short time on this blog is how queer women can have very close platonic friendships with other queer women too
I think society just has overly strict ideas of "straight" and "gay". Like for some people, they would hear about two women sleeping together and think "Oh that's gay", but not necessarily because straight women can enjoy sleeping with other women too, like it's normal 🤷‍♀️
I think it's just a result of women being a lot more physically beautiful than men are, like straight women really got the short end of the stick tbh compared to straight men
I also think it's because women are so oversexualized in the media, and obviously straight girls see that too and so we sort of internalize that attraction to women because we're so used to seeing women being presented in a sexual way? Except it's not real attraction with us like how it is for queer girls
Like I'm very much "attracted" to my friend, she's genuinely stunning and just very hot tbh. But I still identify as straight because it's just a case of what I mentioned above, it's a "fake" attraction. And also because men are afraid to compliment other men because it's seen as "gay", but women can be fully confident in their sexuality and still recognize other women's beauty and sex appeal. You see it all the time in instagram comments, and I really love how we're all so supportive of each other like that
Like I can be fully confident in my sexuality and yet still say that some women like my friend are gorgeous as hell and also 100 times better looking than most men I've seen. I'm very much obsessed with some women's appearances but in a platonic way
And I just love the concept of "girl crushes" and I think that from a feminism viewpoint, it's beautiful that we're focusing on other girls and showing love towards other girls too, instead of just to men who, let's be real, don't even fully appreciate it half of the time
I am going to be sad when we all have to return to life as usual and my friend and I won't be able to spend as much time together anymore. I'm dreading it tbh, I don't want it to end yet. And it really sucks that the physical side of our friendship will probably have to stop too once our other roommate comes back because I think she'd definitely misunderstand the situation and think it's something different than it actually is if she ever saw us kissing or something. I really am going to miss it a lot though, I really like how things currently are and it's just really really nice and I don't want it to change :/
Btw I'm sorry if I sounded fetishistic or offensive with any of this, I just get a bit jealous sometimes that you guys get to date girls and we're just stuck with men. Honestly if it wasn't for all of the homophobia and the struggles that you all have to face and the fact that it would feel disrespectful to the LGBT community, I would probably really wish I could change my sexuality to be bisexual or gay instead because I just think women are better. Sometimes I really do wish I was into women in that way because dating girls just sounds so much more appealing to me (in a non fetishizing weird way) but unfortunately I'm stuck with dating men 🤦‍♀️ But I also know I'm lucky and privileged to be straight even though most men are mediocre and kinda gross and I don't mean to be disrespectful because I know you all have to face homophobia and other LGBT difficulties and it really sucks, people are awful. There's nothing wrong with women dating women or men dating men at all, society is just ugly and bigoted
Anyway, does anybody else have a similar sort of take on Kaylor where they think they could have both been straight and just had a very close friendship with a physical side to it? I think it would explain a lot. But like I said, this is just a theory of mine based on my own situation, and I'm also open to the idea that it was an actual relationship and that they're both into women for real, not just fake "into women" like I am.
Also pls feel free to call me out if I accidentally said anything offensive towards LGBT people, I tried my best but if I made a mistake anywhere pls let me know and I'll avoid it next time!
You’re not offensive. Please stop apologizing. And we’re gonna come back to the Kaylor stuff another time because... Honey. You and I need to have a conversation for a bit.
So firstly, I’m not trying to like “diagnose” you and at the end of the day it’s your choice what you want to call yourself but... tbh you might not be straight. Sexuality is fluid not static and exists on a spectrum not in absolutes. It’s not like it’s straight, 50/50 bi, gay and you’re born knowing and there’s no room for anything else. That’s not true. There’s a lot of room in between all of these and labels can change over time. We’re people, not cereal brands, and sometimes we don’t even KNOW the word for what we might be. I’m tagging a tag for you from when we asked people to share their label journeys for you to see. It’s not simple or easy and it’s not just because of external stuff - it’s because figuring this out internally is HARD. If you found yourself having such an intense friendship it became physical, repeatedly, you liked it a lot, you still sleep in the same bed and continue to share all your thoughts and you don’t want any of that to end... I’m not sure you’re Kinsey 0. And I think you might lowkey have a girlfriend dude.
You can obviously prefer men but like... hun I reaaallly don’t think you’re completely straight.
Also: it’s okay to say “I see myself winding up with a man and this is a situationship for right now!” but that doesn’t make you straight because again, sexuality is a spectrum and you can manifest a particular kind of endgame while experiencing other things along the way.
But here’s where you really got me: “most men are mediocre and kinda gross” and “women being a lot more physically beautiful than men are, like straight women really got the short end of the stick tbh compared to straight men” because that’s the kind of thing I used to say in my Bi 1.0 era before I ID’d as a lesbian for a bit and before Harry Styles (KING 🥺) made me bi for real. Hun, no. Straight women like men. Tbh BI women like men. I genuinely, unironically, find Harry and Timmy and Matt Smith to be sexy beasts and I would do dirty things to the former two but maybe not the latter irl in 2021 but yes also him if I could be on that Spain trip with him and Karen where they got sloshed and which I think of often. These men are genuinely fucking beautiful to me in the same way Taylor is and Di Silvers is (okay she’s prettier than all of them but like same ~vibe) and like Megan Thee Stallion is and Indira Varma in everything but especially GOT and Gillian Anderson and Keira Knightley. Like those women are HOT to me and SO. ARE. THE. MEN.
Straight women find SO MANY DUDES hot. So many. Starting from objectively pretty options I just cannot personally understand like Chris Evans all the way through to bitches who are outchea simping for wrestlers and Cole Sprouse. Do I understand? No. But like... that’s straight girl culture and ours is not to judge.
If you’re struggling to find men hot then... you might be gay.
Also, I’m not sure what you mean by “fake attraction”. Like queer women - especially femme women which I assume you very much are - experience the same kinds of feelings straight girls do. We have women we want to be like and look like and find enviable (me and Oenone Forbat) and women we find aesthetically gorgeous (me and Anya Taylor Joy) and we have extremely close female friends who we can spend hours on end spilling our guts to - as you say female friendships are truly special - and without going into personal people that you don’t know, that’s me and Cam and Sim right? I literally talk to them for hours. Like those are not gay feelings. And yes we can chat about those kinds of feelings with straight girls and call them “girl crushes” and not immediately get “caught out” because they experience this exact shit too.
But here’s the thing. They never do and I don’t want in the cases above to fuck these women. It’s not sexual.
The moment I can actually imagine fucking the women in question that’s... gay.
Like it’s not “fake attraction” it’s literally just gay. That’s how we desire women. We want to fuck them. Not all women. Not always. But sometimes we want to get under or on top of one and just really truly fucking make each other moan with pleasure.
I have no idea if Karlie or Taylor are into women. They could both literally be straight. I have no idea.
But I have a better idea about you.
Hun, you’re fucking your roommate/best friend and don’t want to stop.
You’re not “into women”.
You’re into this woman.
And possibly into women more generally.
So I know it’s weird to have to be the one to tell you this, and if you want to keep chatting via anon or in my DMs or if you want me to try collate resources for you from around the web but...
Like.
Dude.
You’re a whole ass part of the rainbow.
Welcome to the community you thought you weren’t a part of earlier today 🌈 ❤️
It’s nice here, sure there’s homophobia, but at least we get to fuck girls and man is it good.

I'm here! Finally answering these Anon Asks!
1. It is real (for now) 😅 It'll be very different than before - exclusive to Paramount+, not including all of the original cast*, only 10 episodes, and will be focused on one case rather than a procedural.
* The main S15 cast was invited back. Kirsten is not returning, and I think Daniel Henney will be busy on his new show. Matthew mentioned not really wanting to, but he was willing to reconsider. Paget and Joe have been very vocal supporters of the reboot, but Paget has been calling for fans to support her in negotiations.
We'll see. Not much has been decided yet. You can read more here.
2. You're my favorite and I hope you get all the hugs and kisses you desire, friend 😚
3. Yeah... I really blame the writers. They clearly wanted her to be some weird, stereotypical "spunky" girl. But, naturally, the writing team is riddled with misogyny and a deep misunderstanding of women, lmao. RLC is an amazing actress. I don't know what she could have done to save that mess of a character.
I really think her character was unnecessary on top of all of that. Spencer's final arc was about how he spent his whole life basing his worth and purpose on the women in his life (his Mother, JJ, Maeve, Cat). Date Night would have been a lot more meaningful if, after he got closure with Cat, he realized that he was still his own person, and would continue to exist after she was gone, and that he was going to be okay.
They could've done something great... but, alas...
4. Awe, of course! Like I mentioned before, I am planning on collecting Dad!Spencer fics to post on Father's Day. I hope that they all comfort you and reassure you that, even though your Father failed you, there are still so many people who will love and appreciate you, and we want you to know it!
5. So, there is a sequel to the book (which I have not read!) where he ends up in a remarkably similar situation. Here is the summary:
A month after narrowly surviving the most harrowing night of his life, Chip Taylor is living in a seedy, pay-by-the-week motel in a sleepy coastal town in Florida. He still has most of the 68 grand he and his crazy ex-girlfriend stole back in Tennessee, but he's a man living at loose ends, directionless and without a plan. He's drinking too much and surrendering to too many of the same temptations that landed him in so much trouble in the first place. It isn't long before Chip finds himself wrapped up in another nightmarish descent into bloody madness and chaos. And this time his survival is more in doubt than ever.
That is, obviously, super depressing, lmao. Probably realistic, too, honestly. I personally like to believe that he got a decent job and lived a modest life. He met a very sweet person that treated him well. He got therapy and spent the rest of his life being perfectly mediocre and happy about it. But to be honest, I haven't thought about it a lot!
6. Angst is a category of literature, although the term is usually used exclusively in fanfiction. Here is a simple definition from Urban Dictionary that, I feel, summarizes it well:
An adjective describing a situation or literary piece which contains dark, depressing, angry, and/or brooding emotions from the participating characters.
7. Ugh, I'm so sorry that you had a bad experience. Medications can be so hard. For you for take steps, even in such a state, to try to self-soothe is extremely impressive and you should be proud of yourself!
I'm glad you exist, too, and I'm so happy to hear that my mindless Spotify collections provided you some comfort in such an awful time.
I hope you have a wonderful day, too. Long-term medication regimens are seriously exhausting, and you are doing a great job. Keep it up, friend! You deserve so much happiness in life, and I'm so proud of you for taking care of yourself the best you can.
8. [NSFW] Hi friend! I can't say much on this subject, as I'm not a lesbian myself, but I do want to assure you that I've heard other lesbians, gay men, and aroace people express similar sentiments!
The truth is, to me, erotica is completely different aspect of enjoyment than the physical acts of sex. There are many things I enjoy reading or watching that I would never engage in physically. When you view erotica as a form of expression, separate from the expression of physicality, you might find that the true divide isn't the gender of the characters, but the emotions and connections established.
TL;DR, I'm very sorry you're feeling confused, but I know a ton of lesbians who enjoy reading het erotica, and you shouldn't necessarily feel like you are less valid of a lesbian because you like erotica works (written predominantly by women, mind you!).
Also, if your friends mock you for reading fanfiction, they kind of sound like jerks. There isn't much difference between fanfic and published works such as Outlander, which have remarkable success. You could always just say you read that (the smut scenes are, IMO, significantly less cringy in Outlander than other mainstream erotica, such as 50 Shades).
I hope that you get some relief from the frustration you're feeling. If you decide that you're bisexual and just heavily lean to women, I am happy to celebrate that with you, but I'm just as excited to celebrate if you decide that you are still a lesbian! 💕
Best of luck, friend. I'm happy you're here no matter what ☺️

He is the face of Gucci's new fragrance, an ultra-modern pop star and an exquisite young man, and Harry Styles may be content with his premature achievements. But he prefers to choose to be alone and fade out of the public eye, with curiosity or even greed to touch the music.
"So French!" The young man in a Mickey Mouse sweater smiled softly, facing the sometimes excited and blushing editorial team of magazines. On the day after the interview, his new song was launched, and it attracted more than 1.5 million followers in just a few hours. After a brief retreat, or after a breath-recovery process like holding his breath, a series of bumps began, and this was the return of Harry Styles. Harry, who has just soloed from One Direction (the band sold 50 million records over a six-year career and has since ceased indefinitely), achieved his personal career and released his first solo album in 2017. People saw him transforming. He was no longer the Harry of the 1D band, but became an independent artist, receiving reviews from music critics, and going in harmony with this era. He is fickle, he treats his sexual orientation peacefully, he defends equality, and supports same-sex marriage. The pop singer who has grown up in the greenhouse has now become a cocoon. Gucci's vibrant, poetic and destructive creative director Alessandro Michele, who is responsible for the styling of Harry's first tour after solo, has been selected as this fashion season Image ambassador for the new fragrance "Gucci Mémoire d'une Odeur". Soon before our meeting, he just spread some clear signals in an American journal, announcing some song samples of the new album: in recent months, he has been listening to McCartney, reading Murakami sang with Stevie Nicks in preparation for the new album. So on the day we met, we found two pieces of evidence that witnessed his creative journey over the past few months. The content of these songs is full, exquisitely arranged, delicate and at the same time rough and unruly, like an ecstatic intoxication, but also the sorrow of dawn and dawn, all of which show a large album full of color and temperature collision.
While anxiously waiting to jump into the vortex of public attention (album promotion, touring, and many things in celebrity life), the 25-year-old boy calmly told with restraint and enthusiasm throughout the day. Yourself. (To be honest, he did not try to avoid the eyes of passers-by. Instead, he walked in the panties between the two shots and ate Asian takeaway meals at the corner of the street instead of sipping healthy celery juice or eating Steamed tofu.) "The first smell I remember was probably the smell in her mother's kitchen, the smell of her roasted meat, and the smell of perfume on her." This is how this good son, also a contemporary superstar, is. Express his memory related to smell.
However, if one day Harry lives in your house by accident, who knows if this will happen? Never let him feed your cat, because he said: "I have been accompanied by cats every time I grew up, every time When I feed them, the taste of cat food makes me unbearable. "
It can be said that his cooperation with Alexandro Michele is not a pretense, and their creative lines coincide. "Alexandro is a free thinker, and his way of working is very enlightening. If he wants to do something, he will do it. It's that simple. It's impressive, especially for a big When working at a brand. This is great when you have the opportunity to participate in the work of a recognized master. He doesn't ask about class, age, or business. He does everything for everyone, everyone, I I think that any kind of art should be like that. "He talked about childhood again (yes, childhood seems to be yesterday in his eyes)": I like 'scent memory', I like its freshness, and it can be based on the user The different and changing characteristics. This perfume reminds me of the summer of childhood. Sitting with friends by the lake, where I grew up, smelling the fragrance of wild flowers ... "Today this Times exactly reflect the poem of Henri Michaux: "Night is not like daylight, it has great flexibility." That is to say, Michele's method is very suitable, even with this kind of abandoning the rules The approach is closely related. "Boundaries are gradually falling, whether in fashion, music festivals, film and television, or the art world ... I don't think people are still looking for differences in this category. Even if there is still a gender distinction in the world, they The line between them is also the subject of creation. People no longer need to be this or that person. I think that people are simply trying to get better. In fashion and other fields, these standards are not as strict as before, which brings Great freedom, exciting. "
"Although Michelle doesn't necessarily ask for my opinion, we will show some ideas to each other. It is cool to get opinions from people who are not necessarily in the same field as you, and you respect his work and taste "We noticed a new motivation, perhaps a new way of writing, which came from taking control of our careers. In short, when a seductive carefree and cruelly erodes talent, a serious mentality that a person shows ": writing songs is surfing. You can train as much as you can, and the waves Sometimes it doesn't. But we still need training to get better. It's impossible to sit down one day and think about writing the best song of my life. It takes a lot of effort. "
He worked in a bakery ten years ago, but now he has become the company's bet, the star and the focus of media attention. Whether out of fantasy or fact, he ca n’t help asking such a young man. How to get rid of this cobweb of public opinion. "Becoming famous is something I'm still learning and experiencing. I learn how to filter out what I like and dislike, pick out what can be integrated into the song, and what I don't want to share. Find a balance. Sometimes wondering how people think about this or that lyrics ... it means accepting to show off their fragile side, but at the same time, it makes the whole adventure exciting The reason. "He said.
Indeed, when he revealed some clues about the upcoming album, the excitement was obvious, hoping that he could express "a sense of freedom". This feeling is not completely new to some hot idols, especially some like "Elvis Presley, Mick Jagger, Stevie Niks, Janis Joplin Joplin) and Prince ". In contrast to this crowd is Nick Drake, whom he likes to listen to recently. The outstanding singer's music is full and well-crafted, giving people a joy. "When I look at them, I don't know what it is, but it's there. It's a strange thing. They transcend the limits. When it comes to songwriting, McCartney has always had a huge impact on me. I was lucky Some of them are strong, and in my eyes, they have always been awesome. "
He arrived in a special car (with a driver, a small freezer and dark windows), and instead walked to the corner bar for a beer, and the number of people accompanying him decreased.
Looking at the back of this millennial superstar, we think again of the teenager wearing an exaggerated cardigan, dreaming of standing out in the TV singer competition. Today, behind him is a gentle fragrance of wildflowers and Sunday lunch.

Seven facts about coffee you probably didn't know
Coffee is the world's favorite hot drink with an estimated 2.25 billion cups drink every day globally. We discovered seven reasons why you might want to get yourself a cup of coffee right now. As a bonus you'll find a simple recipe for a unique coffee cocktail. So without wasting time, lets move to the Benefits of Coffee.
Top 7 Benefits of coffee
Coffee boosts brainpower
Coffee with sugar can turn you into a little genius for a while because the combination of caffeine and glucose activates certain sectors of your brain. The caffeine and coffee acts as a mild stimulant to the central nervous system. This neuronal activity triggers the release of the adrenaline that will affect your body in several ways. Your heartbeat increases, blood pressure rises, breathing tubes open up, sugar is released into the bloodstream for extra energy. Depending on the level of intake it can help improve attention and concentration Remember that slump right after lunch? If you wish your boss would announce a little siesta time? Well, if you are not in Spain caffeine can improve wakefulness during the post-lunch dip. We know that working hours may be tough sometimes Coffee is effective in boosting brain performance for those suffering from jet lag or shift work sleep disorder. However never drink coffee on an empty stomach, since that will do the direct opposite. The effects of caffeine tend to be less pronounced in regular coffee drinkers.
Coffee increases blood pressure
You might want to keep off the coffee if you are going to have a blood pressure test within the next two days. If you have high blood pressure ask your doctor whether you should limit or stop drinking caffeinated beverages. On the other hand hypertension or low blood pressure can be a serious and life-threatening problem If not treated. A tiny cup of coffee can battle a hypertensive episode, a situation where your blood pressure is too low. Add a cup of caffeinated beverage to each meal to raise your blood pressure.
Coffee makes your immune system stronger
Coffee is known for its energy-boosting caffeine effect. It's an abundant source of nutrients and helpful chemicals that can aid your immune system. According to scientists from several countries, coffee reduces the risk of premature death. This is because coffee alters your immune system making it stronger and healthier Coffee contains a lot of antioxidants and phenolic compounds that play a crucial role in cancer prevention. It also improves your liver, heart and digestive system. Still try to stick to natural freshly ground coffee. Instant coffee contains fewer nutrients and more chemical additives and one more important fact for Parkinson's disease Research suggests that, among other factors the potential preventive effect may be due to caffeine too. Coffee relieves a headache. The caffeine can cure headaches and migraines People are aware that caffeine is found in coffee, tea, soft drinks and chocolate But may not know that caffeine is also contained in a variety of over-the-counter medications. That's why it's an ingredient in a lot of traditional pain relievers. It can make them as much as 40 percent more effective. Caffeine increases the strength of the medication, and how quickly it works. So enjoy the stimulating and pain relieving properties of caffeine in moderation.
Coffee reduces stress
Coffee acts well as an anti stress substance due to the release of dopamine and serotonin which trigger a good mood. One cup or even just the smell of coffee can calm your nerves. This could explain the lower risk of depression among coffee drinkers. Drinking between two to four cups of coffee every day appears to reduce the risk of suicide in men and women by 50%. Moreover caffeine is one of the most common stimulators of the central nervous system, and it's common stimulation is what keeps depression at bay. Interestingly only the caffeine contained in coffee has this effect as opposed to the caffeine found in tea, soda or chocolate which does not stimulate the central nervous system as effectively.
Coffee improves your memory
Coffee can positively affect mood, enhance awareness and memory abilities. The stimulators and neuro mediators obtained from coffee not only boost your mood and productivity but also improve your memory. Of course this only works with your short-term memory but this is good enough because all Information is initially stored in a short-term memory and only an hour later does it enter our long-term memory under particular circumstances. At times when it gets a little too difficult to focus a coffee break will offer a welcome change of mind by enhancing Concentration and stimulating moods. All in all, coffee is an enjoyable drink that can help boost energy and increase the ability to learn and remember.
Coffee helps you lose weight

Make your favorite coffee Let it cool off then fill an ice cube tray with the coffee place in the freezer. on a hot day and the coffee cubes to a glass of milk. Sip a delicious mix and feel wonderful.
Many studies suggest that coffee drinkers live longer than non-coffee drinkers. This may be because of confident official effects and inflammation, lung function, insulin sensitivity, and depression. This may be in part because of a class of phytonutrients found in coffee beans called Chlorogenic acid proven to have favorable effects with studies.
Factors affecting Coffee's nutritional value
Okay so now the question which arises is that which coffee is most beneficial for our body? We know how to choose the reddest tomato, the deepest orange, sweet potato. Since many of the plant pigments are the antioxidants themselves, How do you choose the healthiest coffee? More than a hundred coffees were tested in an experiment and different coffees had different caffeine levels but the Chlorogenic acid levels varied by more than 30%.
Coffee selection may have a large influence upon health. So all those studies that show that you know one cup of coffee does this or that, I mean what does that even mean when coffee can vary so greatly.
As some famous coffee distributors roast there beans so much that they lost their chlorogenic acid content and they have almost 10 times lower chlorogenic acid content as compared to the other types of coffee. It's because they roast their beans too dark the more you roast the less there is they appear to be partially destroyed by roasting and caffeine is pretty stable but a dark roast may wipe out nearly 90 percent of the chlorogenic acid content of the beans the difference between a medium light roast and a medium rose were not enough though to make a difference in total antioxidant status in people's bloodstream. After drinking them they both gave about the same boost other factors such as how you prepare it or decaffeination don't appear to have a major effect.
Bottom line
When milk was added to the coffee in like a test tube antioxidant activity decreased by more than half with just a splash of milk and down like 95 percent and like latte or something with lots of milk okay but what happens in the test tube doesn't necessarily happen in a person. I mean you don't know until you put it to the test and indeed over the course of a day significantly fewer chlorogenic acids made it into people's blood.
Drinking coffee with milk compared to black cuts absorption by more than half.
Eat milk chocolate and nothing much happens to the antioxidant power of your bloodstream but eat dark chocolate and get a nice spike within an hour of consumption yeah but is that just because the milk in milk chocolate crowds out some of the antioxidant. Rich cocoa milk chocolate contains like 20% cocoa where's a good dark chocolate maybe like 70% or more cocoa.
How much of this cocoa phytonutrient you get into your bloodstream eating dark chocolate compared to milk chocolate but eat that same amount of dark chocolate with a glass of milk and it blocks about half okay.
If you lied this article then Share the article with your friends to keep them caffeinated.

You probably remember the Jenny Jones Show. In the 90's smutty talk shows were very popular; Jenny's was one of the best rated, ranked right up there with Jerry Springer, Geraldo, Montel, and Ricki Lake. These trashy talk shows ruined more than a couple lives, but we just couldn't get enough of them.
In February of '95, Jenny Jones was searching for guests who had secret homosexual crushes. When a 32 year old Michigan man named Scott Amedure saw this, he called the show.
Scott had a thing for 26 year old Jonathan Schmitz, who he'd met through a mutual friend named Donna Riley. Scott didn't think Jonathan was gay, but what's the harm in trying? Even if Jonathan turned him down, it wouldn't hurt to do the show, right? Worst case scenario they get to visit Chicago for free. And who passes up the opportunity to be on national television?
Jonathan would later say that the JJ producer who called him promised that the person who had this crush on him was a woman. Jonathan was aware that Scott was attracted to him; the day before he left for Chicago, Jonathan asked Scott point blank if he was the one taking him on the show. Scott told him that he was not the secret crush. Matter of fact, Jonathan was so concerned about being embarrassed on tv that the producer actually made a note about it on his file. Jonathan was assured that this would not be one of those episodes. Not that these producers are truthful, I know from experience they will tell you just about anything to get you on that plane. Jonathan convinced himself that his secret admirer was his ex fiancee who he'd been with for years. They'd only been broken up for a few months and he missed her terribly; he told everyone that he was going to marry her if she was there. If it wasn't her, it had to be a cute girl from work he'd had his eye on. Jonathan was so excited that he even purchased brand new clothes for the occasion.
On March 5th of 1995, Jonathan boarded the plane from Michigan to Chicago where he would finally meet this mystery woman.
Scott claimed he had been served alcohol on the plane to Chicago and then there was hard liquor served in the green room while he was interviewed by the show's producers. All of this is another trick under the producer's hat- a ploy to lower the guest's inhibitions so they say and do things they would not do otherwise. And It's easy to forget that everything you say to the producer can and will be used against you on the show, you start to feel friendly with the producer, and you feel like you're sitting and talking with a friend- especially since alcohol is involved. During the private interview Scott blurted out that he'd had sexual fantasies about Jonathan which included a hammock and whipped cream, during the taping of the show you can see that Scott was taken aback when Jenny brought this up. If you've not seen the un-aired taping of the episode (I'll add a link at the bottom) Jenny does what she does best- she pushes for details, not concerned with who she upsets or embarrasses. Which was her job- it makes good tv. Scott said Jonathan had a "Cute little hard body, the kind you want to pick up and put in your curio cabinet, dust him off every once in a while".
The first thing Jonathan said to Scott after he walked out on stage and realized who'd brought him there was "you lied to me", referencing Scott's denial that he was the one bringing him to Chicago. That said, Jonathan seemed to handle it well; he nervously laughed and covered his face with his hands on multiple occasions but never did he seem angry. He said he was flattered, but that he was simply not attracted to men.
Depending on who you ask, after the camera stopped filming maybe Jonathan was much more willing to give Scott a chance than he was wanting to let on. Jenny Jones herself would later say that Jonathan, who was supposed to be flying home alone, asked if he could exchange his plane ticket for the one his friends were taking. There would later be testimony that the trio went out for pizza and plenty of alcohol afterwords; Donna said that Jonathan was talking about the three of them having a menage a trois and Scott's mother would later testify that her son was thrilled, simply glowing because the 2 men had been intimate together that night. Jonathan whole heartedly denies all of this, but it could be that he's embarrassed or ashamed. It's very possible that he hooked up with Scott while inebriated and regretted it later. Whatever the case may have been, it seems that Jonathan Schmitz was super concerned with what others would think of his sexuality.
On the morning of March 9th, just 3 short days after the show's taping, Scott had been out drinking with friends all night long. When he came home, he saw that Scott had been to his house in the night and left a blinking construction sign on his door with a note which read "If you wanna turn this off, you have to use your tool".
When Jonathan saw this, dude just lost his mind. He immediately hopped in his truck, drove to a nearby gun store where he purchased a 12 gauge and buckshot, and by 11 am he was knocking on Scott's front door.
Scott was probably just thrilled to see Jonathan at his house at first, maybe he thought Jonathan liked the cutesy sign. When Scott answered the door, Jonathan asked if he was the one who left the construction sign and note. Scott said yes, it was him; Johnathan walked back to his truck, retrieved his shiny new rifle, and blew Scott away; he was shot twice in the chest. Jonathan then drove to a payphone where he called 911. He toldthe operator that he felt lied to, humiliated on national tv, and harassed since coming home; these were his reasons for taking a man's life.
In 1996 Jonathan was tried for 2nd degree murder. His lawyers said that Jonathan had been dealing with severe mental health issues for years; on top of that, he suffered from Grave's Disease, a thyroid issue that can cause severe rage and mood swings. To say Jonathan cared what other people thought would be an understatement, he was obsessing over it. In 1996 a jury found Jonathan guilty; he was sentenced to 25-50 years. Just last year, at the age of 47, Jonathan was released from prison. He remains on parole.
Jonathan wasn't the only one in big trouble. The Jenny Jones Show caught quite a lot of flack over the murder, especially since they had specifically asked for guests with secret homosexual crushes on people who weren't necessarily gay. This was better for ratings than just 2 gay men. Many of the show's questionable practices were brought to light; the lies which the producers told Jonathan to get him to Chicago, the fact that they didn't even ask whether their guests had any mental health issues, plying guests with alcohol before interviews or tapings, etc. Had the show not done these things, it's unlikely any of this would've happened- or that's what a jury concluded. Scott's mom sued, Jenny Jones and her network were found liable, and Scott's mama was awarded 25 million dollars. This judgment was later overturned.
This case just goes to show how much society has changed in these past 20 years; how far we have come. If i was a betting woman I'd bet money that Jonathan had sexual relations with Scott. You know, in today's society, big whoop if you're gay- most people don't care. Back then it was just different.
Obviously Jonathan was the killer here, but do you think the show was liable?

Hey there I sent an anon (hopefully I remembered to put anon on because wow this is embarrassing 😭) about going out and seeing an old friend who’s much older than me (almost ten years) and is another old friends ex boyfriend and haha I’d like to apologize for that as I was quite drunk when I sent it in. I have no idea what I said in the anon but now that I’ve recuperated I’m like freaking out because I’m pretty sure I was really obvious about being into him. Other people we know were there and now I’m just mortified thinking I’ve made a fool out of myself and that he’s just a nice person and isn’t into me. Bestie if you have any advice it’d be greatly appreciated lol thank you
Hi there lovely I'm so sorry I'm only just replying to this!!! Went through a bit of a mood dip haha.
I got your last anon too and delayed replying because I actually wasn't sure how best to reply. It's hard to make a judgement without knowing how old you are if you know what I mean.
Cause see in my country legal is 16 and I'd say 16 and 30 is a big no, and like in America is it 18? And 18 and 30 is also probably a stay away.
HOWEVER I'm not going to tell you to stay away from a guy just because he's older. I really don't believe there's a cut off (other than legal cut off) that tells you whether or not you can date someone safely or not. If you're underage and they are pursuing you then obviously that's dangerous but that isn't the situation you're in.
Some people like older guys, I've a cousin who is 27 just now and marrying a man in his 50s who she genuinely really loves. It's a really healthy relationship and it would be so wrong to judge it just because he's older. They've been together since she was 22 as well i think.
Also it depends what kinda 30 year old he is, a lot of 30 year olds, whilst mature aren't like, ready to settle down get married have kids and lead like adult boring adult lives. If that makes sense? Essentially what I'm trying to get at is age doesn't necessarily mean that you won't be mentally and emotionally in tune with one another.
I'd say there are difficulties there sometimes, theres a small small age difference between me and B and like, I notice quite often I'm very neurotic and a little naive/emotionally immature in that, i get wounded by shit that isn't even intended to wound you know, like B won't hold my hand on a walk and I'll be like Omg This Is The Worst Day Of My Life We Are Doomed. When like, he's not holding my hand cause hes walking the dog and didn't think it would be convenient trying to hold onto both of us.
I know that sounds like a tangent but I guess I'm trying to say that being similar or different by a lot in age COULD mean that you're emotionally out of sync, but that also people always are and bejng close in age also can mean you are too sometimes. Its about knowing that you yourself are going to be able to navigate it and cope when you hit difficulties.
So that's my view on the age gap bit. Basically depending on how young you are and whether you feel like you're attracted to older/more emotionally mature or kind of, at a different stage in life people... (which again, I am. I have no desire to be with laddy youth boys that wanna go clubbing and that kind of stuff, like B gives off ultimate dad energy and his hobbies are growing veggies in the garden and watching twin peaks)
... Depends on whether you should go for it. If you like them and are into them and want to try it, based on age alone, go for it.
The other thing you mentioned does make it more complicated though, how close is the friend whose ex they are?
If this is one of your best friends you need to navigate it veryyyy carefully, and consider a) do you like this man enough to risk things being weird between you and your pal B) if things went weird would u lose your pal or him? Could you make things work keeping both?
You could talk to your friend first and maybe mention like that you might be into him... Also if they are a mate, and they broke up with this guy, this is the best way to find out if something bad happened between them and like, dodge a bullet.
If your pals mature though and they really are over him, and nothing bad happened between him and them, then they will probably be okay with this anyway? Idk, I think like, I have a friend that I once slept with/had a minor thing with, and if him and one of my friends got together (I'm lowkey rooting they will actually) I would be fine with it.
If they aren't that close a pal, and they've moved on and already have a new bf then idgaf, you get your man, go for it, it's whatever.
Honestly it's tricky and I get why you're awkward and thinking about it alot. I would be too.
Also right, no matter how obvious u think u made that shit, bestie probably didn't pick up on it and didn't notice. Men will quite often try to presume that everything is just a woman being friendly, because they don't want to make the mistake of overstepping a boundary or assuming a woman is into them. Like good guys anyway, will more likely brush any kind of hint you make off, especially a guy like that who is older than you.
I think you'll have to be confident and initiate this is you take it forward, if he's a decent guy he probably won't suddenly come onto you haha.
I know that sounds dumb but a lot of men who aren't total cunts have the fear that they will hurt/scare/offend a woman/ruin their friendship with a woman by misreading a signal.
Maybe you should just try and get coffee with him or hang out with him just you two, find an excuse like a gig or something, or just message like dya fancy going for a pint, something casual but where you get to be alone. It'll help you gauge what's actually going on idk.
Sorry I don't feel like I've been a lot of help x

28 & 43 for the numbers game! 🙏💕
coming right up!!! sorry to keep you waiting; answering these takes longer than I anticipated and every time I answer one, something else comes up on my to-do list :________:
28. How do you deal with writing pressure (ie: pressure to update, negative comments, deadlines, etc?)
I think I'm very fortunate so far! I don't recall anyone stressing me out to update or sending negative comments (there have possibly been some instances but nothing jumps out atm). I am generally happy to take constructive criticism so if anything does come my way that's not entirely friendly, I'd probably interpret it as that.
Deadlines: I am Horrible with them I've only done 2 fests (dropped out of a third so we'll leave it at that), but my approach tends to be: write the first 50% on the day of the fest sign-up, then write the remaining 50% within the week it's due. I lose steam so easily after the initial burst of creativity and often only regain it under time pressure. No idea why this is, considering I don't procrastinate in real life. Anyway, mods are more often than not accommodating so when I need an extension/to drop out I'd just be honest ^_^ there's not really a point in doing what you don't enjoy and writing's supposed to be fun.
I suppose it goes for being pressured to update too. I want to see things through, of course, but I'd do the people asking for updates more justice when I do things at my own pace!
43. Talk about a positive experience with fanfiction or the fanfiction community that you will always remember.
just one? I have so many! will list them out anyway!
not writing-exclusive but the friends I gained over the years (blowing kisses to kiyay and ara especially, listed in chronological order here I love you two equally)
having my others join my creative space using their own media: final approach & orion soonhoon artworks, this a city of roses edit.
stumbling across compliments which aren't necessarily meant for you to see. knowing people just feel a certain way about your writing, enough to write about the fic in a blog post, live tweets, etc. may not mean A Lot to them but definitely means A Lot to me. (looking at wren. almost cried when I was casually, happily reading through their dreamwidth and found shadow come together).
final approach changed someone's life in a way I never intended it to................I'm going to keep the details confidential but yeah. man. hits hard every time.
17hols remix by hwa #goals. literally screamed when I got the email notification. whatever. I am just a Person
probably every time svt adapts a concept remotely close to something I wrote moons ago and people go: hey, this reminds me of _____! and vee you manifested this! so....cool. you get excited with me??? are we on vee island, population 5? a kiss for you! and you! and everyone!
see what I mean about one answer taking forever? anyway, thank you for indulging me. hope these entertain you!!

I hate the person that I am. I can not name one good thing about myself, I hate everything about me. Idk how to make this go away. I just don't want to be alive anymore.
hey love. i’m really really sorry to hear that you’re feeling this way. i get that words feel pretty empty and meaningless when you feel so intensely sad, but please please try to believe me when i say that your presence on this earth is needed and important, even if you can’t see that right now. you are meant to be here, just like everyone else. and your perception of yourself is not necessarily the way others see you, you know? just because your mind is calling you worthless or stupid or whatever, doesn’t mean that’s what you are. when you have depression, your mind is biased and it’s set against you. not every thought you have is true, and they don’t hold any power unless you say that they do. but i know it’s hard to listen to them and to keep going when it feels like your own brain is trying to destroy you, and i really admire you for still being here and for getting through it so far. it shows how strong you are, and it shows that you can endure a LOT more than you think you can. but still, you shouldn’t have to deal with it and you don’t have to, at least not to the extent that it’s at right now. look, the solution to this isn’t to die, okay? don’t even entertain the idea of that. it’s just to change the way that you’re living. suicide is not practical or intelligent or rational, and it isn’t going to stop the pain. it’s just going to eliminate the chances of anything ever getting better, while irreparably hurting those that love you at the same time. i’m not going to lie, it’s going to feel like the most impossible thing in the world at times, but there is a way to get past this and that’s by going through it and helping yourself in any way that you’re able to. wanting to die isn’t normal, hating yourself this much isn’t normal, and the bottom line is that you NEED to get some form of help. that’s the reality of it. i know you don’t want to hear it, but it’s the main way to move forward and to keep going, and it really does make things easier. even if you just start by talking to a parent or a trusted friend - let them know what’s going on, that you’re not alright. it’s okay to reach out, seriously. you have the right to feel how you feel, and you have the right to guidance and support. telling them might make it easier to eventually get in touch with an actual professional - whether it’s a therapist, a support group, or even your school counselor if you’re still in school - you need to know on a really deep level that you have options. you really, really do. i’m not saying talking to someone is going to be easy, but it’s going to be so so worth it. and yeah, your brain will probably try to talk you out of it but that’s even more of a reason to see someone. never underestimate just how much medication or learning new coping mechanisms or having a consistent person to talk to can help. depression is an illness, and just like any kind of physical illness, it often needs real medical attention in order to overcome it. and that’s okay.
i get that it’s scary and weird to reach out, and i get that it feels pointless to keep going when you feel like it’s never going to get better. but all i’m asking you to do is try. every single day that you wake up is a fucking accomplishment, and every single small effort you make is going to add up into something great, seriously. another trick of depression is that it likes to make you think that it’s going to be there forever, and it likes to make you feel like it’s permanent, but it’s not. you’re not a lost cause. if you try to get a handle on this now, if you try to control it instead of letting it control you, then you’re going to see a real difference in time. i promise. you’re so much stronger than you think you are, and so much more capable than you’ll allow yourself to believe. honestly, in 5 months or even 5 years you’re going to look back and be so fucking glad that you stuck around. i know that it’s hard to believe, but where you’re at right now is NOT where you’re always going to be. you’re a smart, strong and wonderful person with a lot to offer the world and your self hating thoughts/feelings don’t change that, not one bit. just because you can’t see the beauty and the fire that you have inside of you, doesn’t mean that it’s not there. please, please stay alive. there is so so much you haven’t seen yet. life is so rare and cool and beautiful, and even though it’s really fucking hard sometimes, it’s not something you should just throw away. i hope you know that i’m always here if you need someone, seriously. if you feel like you’re going to do something stupid, just come to me first if you’re too scared to talk to someone irl. i care, and i’ll listen. a lot of people care, and a lot of people will listen. i’m going to leave some links that might be able to offer additional support and advice, please check them out if you have the time. just please please keep going, one step at a time.
