WHAT TO EXPECT:

Something about Anton had changed ever since he turned 20 and you could not put your finger on it. All you knew was he had made it his mission to fluster you and letting him catch a hint of what he was doing to you was a bad idea...

"I can't believe I'm no longer a silly little guy in his teen years," sighs Anton. Had the speaker been a remotely more predictable person than Lee Chanyoung, decidedly the king of "never let 'em know your next move," you would've at least pretended to be amused by his statement.

Instead, you echo his sigh with your own. "Come on, there's no way you're still whining about this. You used to cry about being stuck a nineteen year-old and being called a kid, and now that you're not? You're crying about it, too!"

Anton frowns at your sharp but resoundingly true words. He crosses his arms, leaning closer to you across the table, his eyes taking on a candid gravity. "I'm serious this time, Y/N, I'm spiralling. I feel like I should be doing… more?"

You blink at him. Count on Anton to have an existential crisis in the library of all places. You could've even get get vulnerable with him right now if you wanted, what with the mobs of students surrounding you, chattering away in their own circles. 

You pat his arm across the table, feeling the soft fabric of his baby blue hoodie that always sat so well with his eyes.  "It'll be fine, Ant, you're doing enough as it is. You're a good student and a good friend, too. That's more than a lot of people can claim."

He doesn't hide the small smile that creeps onto his face, "You really think so?" Then, he tilts his head and like a switch turning, his smile turns flirtatious. "But that's all you think of me as? A good friend?"

You stare back at Anton, at a loss for words at his sudden change in demeanour. "Well, yeah? Aren't we…?" you ask the question hoping he'd drop the act and laugh it off but his smile is only morphing further into a smirk the more flustered you get.

Feeling your ears warm, you avert your gaze, suddenly incredibly intrigued by the laptop screen of a girl working a table away from you. You think about Anton and how the two of you had always been closer to each other, compared to the rest of your friends. Maybe it was only because your schedules always matched up, allowing you to grab meals together and hole up in the library after. Maybe it was because you lost track of time when you were with him, laughing at something stupid or spouting something stupid yourself just to watch him laugh with you. 

You couldn't say the possibility of being something more to him hadn't crossed your mind. Of course it had, Anton was the most charming guy you'd been around for a while and you felt comfortable with him like with nobody else. And it was that comfort that was the very reason you didn't feel the need to pursue more with him: it was enough to be his friend. 

But something had changed about him ever since he turned 20 a week ago. You don't know where to pin the feeling that he'd changed but he'd become more… direct. For example, the night of his birthday, you'd decided to show up at his door to wish him in person at exactly 12 am. He'd been thrilled to see you and pulled you into a hug. A completely normal hug. Just a little too long for two people who were just friends. But you had been more than happy to feel his warmth so you didn't mention it. When you did finally pull away, Anton had chased you face, planting a kiss on your cheek out of the blue.

It had caught you off guard like nothing else. You'd stared at him, not unlike how you'd looked at him a few minutes ago, turning hotter by the second. But he'd simply grinned the purest grin ever, thanking you sincerely for wishing him. 

With that and his sudden question of your relationship with him, you didn't know what to think anymore. 

Anton has gone back to his work by the time you come back to your senses, as cool as ever. You can hear the hum of the music in his earbuds as he types away at his computer. You really don't know what to think, with his flirting and nonchalance after. God, you think you might drive yourself crazy.

And you desperately want to keep your sanity so later that night, on your walk back home from the library, you try to hint at it. "Hey, you know…" you start, catching his attention, "I feel like you've changed somehow… since you turned 20."

He looks amused at your admission, brows quirking up, "Really? Please, do say more."

"Well," your eyes jump from his to your shoes and then back, "Like you're acting different."

"I am?" his cheeks rise, "Is it weird?" 

You note that he doesn't ask you how he's acting different, implying he probably knew what he was doing. The thought of it being on purpose only rattles you more. 

"Not weird, no," you breathe, "I'm just not used to it, I guess." You hate yourself for not knowing where you were going with his. Anton might as well think you were the weird one for reading into his actions so much without having a proper reason to. 

But before you can backtrack on your observation, you feel Anton's hand brush against yours. You look up at the contact and then, his fingers interlace with yours, a soft tug bringing your joined hands into his pockets. 

Your heart nearly catapults itself outside of your chest at the sudden touch. All while Anton watches you but you turn coy, looking away. 

"Is this okay?" his voice is low, so as to not startle you. As if you could possibly be any more startled than you already were.

You look at him once again and his eyes are sincere, as sincere as his hand is in yours, keeping you close to his side. "Yeah, it's fine," you hear yourself saying, as if you didn't belong to your own body anymore. 

You walk back in silence but warmer than ever, with Anton's hand enveloping yours the whole time. You feel dizzy with the weight of his touch and with the confusion of it all. 

He walks you to your room without a word and when your hands finally part, he gives you a soft smile. "Good night, Y/N." You nod, unsure if you could form any words right now. You turn to unlock your room when Anton speaks up again: "Oh, and about earlier? You might wanna get used to it." 

You spin to face him but he's walking away without another look at you and you swear your knees all but give out under you with how weak you feel. Your words from earlier come rushing back and your heart races even in your own company as you enter your room. Anton might just be the death of you at this rate.

The next day you retain your composure for the most part, all thanks to the fact that you don't encounter Anton as often as usual because you have back-to-back meetings for club activities and a class project. But the feeling of accomplishment vanishes as soon as you spot him outside the study room where you'd met up with your project-mates. They leave, biding you goodbye and side-eyeing the boy outside, clearly waiting for someone. 

"Anton?" you call out, slowly approaching him. He looks up with a beam, "Hey! You're finally done?"

"Yeah, but what are you doing here?"

"You said you'd be here for your meeting so I thought I'd come pick you up."

You faintly recall shooting him a text about not being able to meet up at your usual spot because of your group meeting but hadn't expected him to show up there.

"Oh, I guess that's nice of you," you say.

"You guess?" Anton echoes, sulking, "Come on, Y/N. I've been sad 'cause I didn't get to see you all day and that's all you have for me? We have a lot of work to do here."

You're in a daze the whole time he's speaking, watching his lips move and feeling your stable headspace slip farther away from you. "No, I mean, I'm glad to see you, too. I just didn't expect it." 

"Told ya to get used to it, didn't I?" he shakes his head like it's the most obvious thing in the whole world. "Anyway, are you free for the night now?"

When you nod, he goes on. "You wanna come over and watch a movie with me? I've been wanting to watch it for a while now but I never got the chance too…" He goes on to give you a brief synposis of it and you can practically feel the excitement radiating off him. 

You laugh at his genuine enthusiasm and agree without a thought, forgetting your current weakness around him.

Which is why it only dawns upon you when you step foot into his room to find it to be oddly… small. Is it the same size it had always been? Yes. Had you been alone in it with him before? Also, yes. But had it ever felt like you were going to pass out from anxiety because you were all alone with him before? No. 

You plop onto his bed without a word and if Anton notices your zoned out state, he says nothing. He takes his coat off and hangs it up, tapping your shoulder. "You sure you don't want to take your jacket off? It's kinda warm in my room." You nod, having forgotten to slip your jacket off. You hand him your jacket with a soft thanks. 

You hate to be the shell of a person you are right now, so you make yourself comfortable, sitting against the wall with a cushion for your back, taking your boots off. You pat your chest as Anton is busy setting his laptop up in a position for both of you to watch on his bed. When he finally takes his seat next to you, settling closer than he usually does, you tell yourself to stay calm and enjoy the rush of feeling his arm brush against yours, instead of letting it unnerve you. 

It helps to let the feeling be, instead of running from it. You relax in your own skin, finding the peace to finally focus on the movie instead of the boy next to you and in your heart. 

It's a sweet movie, as it turns out, even earning a few tears from you as the ending credits roll in. Anton hits pause on the movie, shifting to look at you. You half-chuckle through your tears, wiping them haphazardly with the back of your hand. 

Anton catches your wrist in his, pulling it away from your face and to his lap. His thumb replaces your hand, gently wiping at your cheekbones. "I'm guessing you liked the movie then?" his voice is tender, not mocking like you might have expected. You nod, "Yes." 

"I'm glad. I wasn't sure you'd be willing to spend time with me alone after… after yesterday," Anton says, his lashes hooding his eyes as he speaks, tone suddenly coy, "But I'm glad what I said didn't make you uncomfortable." 

"...you were worried?" you ask, shocked at his shy revelation.

"Well, yeah, I was worried when I didn't get to see you the whole day today that maybe you were avoiding me. But that was just me overthinking things. I'm scared to fuck things up with you."

You find yourself smiling at his sincerity. "You're so cute, Anton." 

The words slip out of you before you can filter them and the boy's head bobs up in shock at your compliment, and you both sit in silence, staring at each other's flustered faces. 

And then you both break into laughter at yourselves. "What are we even doing?" 

Anton runs a hand through his hair, "I don't know, Y/N. What do you want us to do?"

You rest your head against the wall, humming, "I want us to stay this way. To be with you." 

He chuckles, "I feel like those are mutually exclusive events, no?" 

"They don't have to be," you mumble, reaching for his hair, just so you can feel the soft strands tickle your skin. "I'm happy with you, Anton."

Anton's hand finds yours in his locks, bringing it to his lips as he kisses your knuckles. "I like being with you too, Y/N. But I want more. Maybe I'm just being selfish, but I want you, all of you."

His words would've sent your heart into paralysis had they been uttered a few hours ago but having been lulled into the comfort of his presence for a while now, having attuned yourself to your own feelings at last, you feel a soaring feeling, like you had finally found something you had been looking for this whole time.

Anton's pulling you closer, his hand encompassing yours as his face overwhelms your vision. "Kiss me already," you urge him and just like that, his lips find yours, with a crash that makes you giggle a little. The force of his warm lips sways you a little and Anton catches you in his arms, pulling you into him by the waist. 

"Can't believe I finally did it," you hear him whisper when he pulls back, looking at you in awe. "You don't understand how long I've been wanting to kiss your damn face." You laugh into him and he hugs you tight. "God, when you showed up at my door on my 20th birthday, I swear it took me everything to not kiss you right there and then."

"If I recall correctly, you did kiss me," you remind him, "Granted, it was on the cheek. But you could've sped the process up had you just kissed me for real."

Anton glares at you, "You're saying that? Really? After you went mute because of said cheek kiss? If anything, I was being considerate. Plus, I would kill to see you go that red again."

"You jerk! So you were teasing me on purpose!" 

"Well, yeah? What kind of a guy would I be if I didn't flirt with the girl I like a little just to enjoy how she reacts? It's the cutest shit ever!"

You hide your face in his sleeve, "You suck. I lost sleep over that, you know."

"Good to know that it wasn't just me, then." Anton's arms wrap around you so naturally that you can only wonder if this was really your first time being intimate with him. 

When you rise from his arm, his lips capture yours again, urgently like he was running out of time. You return his fervor, just as desperate in your desire as he was. That night, you fall asleep in Anton's arm, feeling his heart beat next yours as you dream away.

It takes you a second to get used to the feeling of Anton being your boyfriend. Because in many ways, it's the same as always: him picking you up from class to eat lunch together and spending your time together struggling with coursework. But now there's more to it: you walk home, hand in hand, and spend your nights together.

"Hey, you wanna come over and make out after you're done with this meeting?"

You snap around to glare at Anton when he whispers the question in your ear. You hit his arm and he laughs boyishly, shrugging, "What? I'm just being real because you and I both know that's what's gonna end up happening–"

"You're outrageous, Anton," you shake your head, "We don't always–! Well, maybe most of the time, yes, but–" He cuts you off, pecking your cheek. "Yes, yes, whatever you say, babe. I'll see ya in an hour."

How did Scratch phrase it again?

The terms of a God Tier permadeath are defined according to the case of the individual - which implies that Heroic and Just are subjective, even to Sburb. It sounds like there might not be any ironclad rules, and that everyone's ruling works differently.

Yes, Scratch appears to be outlining some universal examples here - but what does, say, 'corruption' really mean? There are many equally valid interpretations, and a lot of them are contradictory. Maybe each death uses the definition that makes the most sense to that player.

In any case, I think Vriska's fate is currently meant to be unclear. She's designed from the ground up to be a complex, morally ambiguous character, and you could construct a valid argument for either outcome.

For my part, I'm fully convinced this will resolve as Just. I've been predicting Vriska's death for most of the Act now, and it's extremely fitting for it to happen at Terezi's reluctant hands. All those Incidents are finally coming full circle, and they're coming for her.

True! The fight that Scratch couldn't call was part of a doomed timeline. Its outcome was completely irrelevant to the story - and therefore, there's a good chance that Hussie didn't bother to decide on the victor. Author Theory survives another day!

That makes a lot more sense than my interpretation. I think I was thrown off by Scratch's insistence that Circumstantial Simultaneity is 'not fully comprehensible to a mortal mind'. His use of such phrasing led me to assume that the concept was more complicated than it appeared, leading me to try and puzzle out the 'real' meaning of the term.

So, in a nutshell, circumstantial simultaneity is when multiple sections of reality are linked by shared events, allowing their local timelines to synchronize. Seems straightforward enough.

The semantics here are pretty interesting.

Scratch has stated that there are multiple ways to kill him, which could mean:

That there are multiple scenarios which have a non-zero probability of killing him.

That there are multiple scenarios that would hypothetically cause him to die, if they actually occurred.

These two statements have fairly similar meanings, but, as anon pointed out, there's an important distinction between the two. Statement 1 requires Scratch to actually die in some timelines, but Statement 2 doesn't require him to ever die, in any timeline.

Scratch has stated that he'll only die in one timeline, which means that there is only one scenario that will ever lead to his death. All other scenarios will never lead to his death - and thus, even if they could 'hypothetically' kill him, the probability that they will kill him is zero.

Karkat's leadership shines in times of immediate crisis, which is part of why he struggled to keep his team together in the Veil. He doesn't know how to motivate people without an immediate, in-your-face threat - but since his ancestor was leading a rebellion, that probably wasn't an issue for him. The threat was omnipresent.

In short, I think Karkat Senior was always in Vantas Panic Mode. He'd have spearheaded Alternia's first rebellion with vim, vigor, seemingly infinite stamina, and sheer, bloody-minded determination - and if he was anything close to as likeable as Karkat, folk heroism was virtually inevitable. I can't wait to learn more!

It would explain why both Vriska and Aradia got them, but John didn't. The trolls have a lot in common with insects, so it stands to reason that in their culture, an insect's metamorphosis would be associated with divine apotheosis.

And yeah, a lot of Gamzee's schtick seems to be focused on obfuscating what he's actually doing. The real smoking gun there was the near-complete loss of Terezi's deductive abilities, at the exact moment Gamzee should have entered her radar.

We've talked a lot about how I believe Scratch's 'dark pockets' represent information that Hussie hasn't decided on yet. It's admittedly a little difficult to reconcile that with the fact that Void, an in-universe Aspect, is strongly implied to be the source of at least some of these pockets.

Maybe Aspects can work on a meta level, as well as a literal one. Like, perhaps Void is the aspect of author uncertainty, and therefore, anything that Hussie hasn't decided on out-of-universe is canonically 'hidden by Void'.

I'm pretty sure the troll session was closer to a 'typical' length.

According to Karkat, the human Reckoning arrived significantly sooner than normal - I assume this was due to Jack's double regicide.

If the human session had gone more smoothly, I imagine that it, too, would have taken several weeks. Like the trolls, the kids would have been able to hang out in person - and unlike the trolls, it probably wouldn't have devolved into multiple homicides.

1. Blue Canvas of Youthful Days 🇨🇳 (10/12)

@bengiyo made me watch it. I wanted to wait until I could binge it, but he made me curious and now I am heartbroken and anxious! And in love with it. Well, at least the main story. The side couple didn't grew on me. There is a little bit too much obsession between them and I can't get a right feeling for them. They are a little bit off for me. But the main story? Oh so good! So much melancholy and pain and young, shakespearean love! So much trauma on both sides. I hate Qi Lu's father with all my heart. I hope someone will hurt him. And I hope Qi Lu can get away from him. But this is a chinese production. I don't know what to hope for in the final? A happy ending? Would that be too much too ask? Both of them happy, but separated? Well, that could work for me. A sad ending? Possible. I would be devastated. Thank you Ben for making me start it!

2. Love In The Air: Koi no Yokan 🇯🇵 (4/10)

As expected like the OG I don't like that one that much... The only reason I still watch this one is because of Nagumo Shoma. Guess this will be dropped next week... And instead I just watch Kiss x Kiss x Kiss: Love ii Shower...

3. Miseinen: Mijukuna Oretachi wa Bukiyo ni Shinkochu 🇯🇵 (4/11)

Those two are the bluest boys out there right now. They long for each other, and it is coming to the surface, slowly but steady. And sure Hirukawa, you're not going to fall in love with him. Who do you want to fool? You are already in love! I really like this series so much and I know I am not ready for the heartbreak.

4. The Heart Killers 🇹🇭 (2/12)

This whole scene? Gorgeous! Perfect! Incredible! Hot! Wow! The rest of the show? Meh... I enjoy the StyleFadel dynamic, but the rest of the show? Not so much, for now. Perhaps it will get interesting in the future, right now it is kinda boring.

5. Word of Honor 🇨🇳 (20/36)

Perhaps November will be the month I finally keep watching this series. Who knows.

6. Your Sky 🇹🇭 (2/12)

I am in love with them! Is this a bit cringe? Sure. Is the story flat and kinda predictable? Also yes. Do I get butterflies in my stomach whenever they look at each other? Yes, yes, yes! It is so obvious that Fah already likes Teerak. He is so smitten and happy that they can play couple. I can't wait for the feelings to grow on both sides and for them to become real boyfriends and not just fake ones. I guess there will be some heartbreak, because to fill 12 episodes with fake boyfriends is a bit too much. But oh, this series feels so good! I am enchanted!

Let Free The Curse Of Taekwondo 🇰🇷

This series broke my heart, healed it only to break it again. I am very happy we got this domestic, happy ending. It has such a hopeful touch in it. Not everything is damned, just because you took a wrong path in the past. There is always hope for you to find love, to change the path, to get to a state of happiness you dreamed of as a kid. Trauma and abuse shape our lifes, but it doesn't have to dictate it. Tough topic that hits hard. A really good series with a great story and good acting. A good 9 out of 10 for me.

Every You, Every Me 🇹🇭

I was so in love with the first episodes. The concept of a series consisting of multiple episodes showing soulmates falling in love with each other over and over again was all I ever wanted and dreamed of. And then came the two last episodes and we got robbed of this sweet illusion and everything was just fake and acting. It took the magic away. It took the romance away, especially because I couldn't understand the conflict between Inn and Pun. And the time jumps were wild and confusing. I really wish they just have made two episodes more of them being soulmates in love. For episodes 1-8 I give this one a 10 out of 10, but because of the last episodes I can only give an 8 out of 10.

The Nipple Talk 🇹🇼

Oh man, this was so good. We have a small group of friends, a lesbian who likes changing sex-partners and doesn't believe in relationships, a sex-positive straight woman, who likes to have a relationship, but didn't meet the right person so far and has sex with as much men she wants on the way and our gay man, who believes in love and monogamy and who is now on the search for exactly that after the break up with his long term partner. This series was surprisingly good, very sex positive and everyone's guru MAMA has not just an interesting story in stock, but is our mirror and the voice in the back to not judge other people's lifestyles, just because it is not to your liking. It is a mature queer series, no bl. And in the end people can change, love can happen when you least expect it and you are continuously learning and growing. I am happy Leslie finally saw Jie for the perfect partner he would be. HIV was discussed and became an important part in the last part of the story and I love how Leslie understood that this is not a reason to not date a man, especially when you have planned your whole life together already. It is something you can live and love with. But it was great to see him learning, because this can be difficult in the beginning. This series is really just so good! A clear 10 out of 10 for me.

Kidnap 🇹🇭

Okay. This might sound a little bit harsh, but overall I think this was not the best series. It was boring and misleading. Yes, it did not meet my expectations. I thought about some more action and drama. Yes, Ohm and Leng were cute together. Yes, Leng is a rookie, but he did a good job. Yes, Ohm has incredible pretty puppy-eyes. And yet it was not to my liking. What I liked was the fact, that trauma was not healed with love, but got better with a therapist. What I liked was the relationship between Ming and his brother and later between Q and Mhen. It had enough good parts to keep me watching. But overall it was just a 6 out of 10.

Heartstopper Season 3 🇬🇧

I finally watched it! I looooove the comics and I loved the first season. And then there was season two and three and I couldn't bring myself to watch it, because then it would be over and Charlie and Nick would be back in their world and I must let them go again. But it was worth the heartbreak. Nick is the greenest flag on fictional earth and watching them growing together and taking next steps with each other and standing side by side through rough times, really let me believe in love for a short moment. They are perfect and I love this universe! Totally 10 out of 10.

Jack & Joker: U steal my heart! 🇹🇭

Was this series perfect? Nope. Do I care? Also nope. I just have a very soft spot for YinWar. I can't help it. Yes, the plot was kinda weak in the end. The idea of the ring of power was ridiculous, the resolution was just as ridiculous. But still, do I care? Nope, really not. I just love YinWar. They could remake Dinosaur Love and they would get a 10/10 from me. Perhaps one day I can rate this one with a clear mind, but until then this will be a 10 out of 10 for me, and if it is just because of YinWar's chemistry and onscreen kisses and stares and just every fucking interaction.

I've been thinking, lately, of a mcspirk au of mirror, mirror, where it's spock on the landing party, instead of mccoy.

I've been thinking of it for a couple* reasons:

1. spock (onscreen this time) and kirk meeting mirror!mccoy, especially in a hostile environment

2. mirror!kirk meeting mccoy (and mirror!spock meeting him where he doesn't have home turf advantage)

3. mirror!mccoy begrudgingly (but choosing!) to save spock's life maybe????

[*eta: i lied, there's 35 points, i'm adding a cut]

4. mirror!kirk pulling the enemy within shenanigans with mccoy (re: grabbing him by the back of his neck, etc)

5. with mirror!spock in the mix there's a higher chance for injuries on the uss enterprise, and mccoy treating mirror!spock and mirror!kirk in sickbay

6. both mirror!spock and mirror!kirk being hmmmm a little too interested in mccoy - and left wondering how to poke and prod (and torture) their mccoy into being as - not caring, caring is for the weak - loyal, maybe, maybe loyal is a good enough excuse

7. meanwhile mirror!mccoy getting the chance to do one unselfish act (saving spock) and feeling something crack apart inside his chest

8. mirror!verse spock, mccoy, and kirk trying to talk themselves and each other into like.... ~obviously they should stick together for selfish reasons, look at how those pathetic federation chumps understood each other on a deep and innate level, obviously we should get to that point as well, for evil reasons, of course, not because it looked nice and safe from the outside, this makes senses for selfish reasons only!!!

9. mirror!mccoy half-coercing spock into melding with him to prove a point, which a) makes spock realize that mirror!spock evidently does that A Lot to mirror!mccoy, and b) that mirror!spock might be doing that right now to his mccoy

10. (mirror!spock is, in fact, doing that right now to spock's mccoy)

11. okay consider: mccoy had a chance to remove the visible bruises, but he DOESN'T have a chance to remove any under-the-clothes bruises, and that becomes A Problem when hmmmm spock sees him wince when kirk hugs hum when they get back, or something

12. mccoy patching up his kirk and spock in sickbay, now that they're back

13. ......mirror!mccoy looking at the clean, tidy way mccoy had healed mirror!spock + mirror!kirk's wounds, and it cracks him open a little further

14. spock and kirk insisting on taking mccoy back to his quarters and checking on his bruises, too

15. mirror!kirk like. hm. mirror!kirk very deliberately cutting a long slash across his own thigh. and just looking at mirror!mccoy. and mirror!mccoy's hands tightening around his medical tricorder, and then, refusing to let his hands tremble, reaching out and healing kirk without leaving a scar

16. all three of them just kind of look at that clean, smooth, unblemished skin for a while. because that's not. hm. that's not. done.

17. something something m!spock hands m!kirk his knife, his gaze dancing between m!kirk and m!mccoy's face

18. something something m!kirk casually flipping the knife in his hand and then.....not......cutting m!spock.............as deeply...............as he should..................and then watching m!mccoy heal him.................leaving m!spock's skin just as smooth and unscarred....................

19. something something realizing years and years later that in order to get the mccoy they wanted, they had to change themselves in order to change him, too, maybe. something something giving a little to get what you want except it takes you years to realize that you've given too much away and now you're in the middle of taking down the empire

20. something something if your moral compass is entirely based on you wanting something from your blue-eyed, alcoholic doctor, but it's something you've realized you can't cheat or kill or steal or even barter for - if you bring down an empire to get it, that doesn't mean you're a good person, right? you don't want to be a good person. you don't want that responsibility. you're selfish, aren't you? you're doing this for selfish reasons. you're holding onto the fact that you're a monster at your core, because a monster's the only thing you know how to be.

21. you could make a religion out of this.

23. after all, you'd kill anyone else you caught praying at the feet of your god.

26. anyway yeah back on the uss enterprise spock and kirk have leonard mccoy shirtless and are examining the finger-shaped bruises etched into his skin as he rolls his eyes, and spock is worrying over the thorny problem of the mind meld he suspects mirror!spock forced on mccoy, and mccoy is adamantly reminding them both that he just healed them of their own bruises, so no one got out of this easy, take it down a few notches hm?, and kirk, wary, tells him about mirror!mccoy, mean and drunk and far, far too soft for a world like that, and spock, uneasy with it, presses the issue of the forced meld, of his suspicions that m!spock has forced that on m!mccoy many times, and they both -

27. they both don't get it, do they, mccoy thinks.

28. the three of them in that parallel universe, he says. they'll be okay. he didn't have to meet mirror!mccoy to suspect he understands him - understands him by the way he'd examined the wound m!mccoy had healed in spock's side, the way mccoy could tell the other him had passed over it twice, had left a scar and then, from the way mccoy had to clean it up later when he examined it, he suspects m!mccoy's hand was shaky with it as he went back over it and removed the scar tissue.

29. he'd seen the scar tissue left on m!kirk and m!spock's bodies, too. seen the areas where small bits of shrapnel had been left to hurt and fester, seen the areas where mobility had been lost by scar tissue, seen -

30. he'd done what he'd could, of course. he hadn't been able to help himself.

31. seeing that healed wound on spock's side?

32. they're going to be fine, he says.

33. how do you know? kirk asks.

34. mccoy smiles at kirk, lifts an eyebrow at spock.

GL odds and ends 20 October 2024

Currently airing (with thoughts up to Oct 6):

Reverse 4 U 7/8 (Thai, Tuesdays 1:00 PM EDT, Netflix / YouTube) I'm disappointed by how this final arc has gone. We haven't really seen any growth for Wa, and the whole plot with Wa and Vivi's father didn't really make sense. I really don't understand why he had to stay away, or why the rules are so different for him than for Wa. The relationship between Wa and Four also feels flat because we've barely seen them together. I was rooting for this one but alas.

Unlock Your Love ep 6/8 (Thai, Wednesdays, GagaOOLala / YouTube [cut version]) The sequence where Rain and Love keep trying to have sex but getting interrupted/hurt was very funny; this show still drags but the core of it is pretty good. I mostly just wish it were tighter.

Chaser Game W s2 ep 5/8 (Japanese, Thursdays 12:30 PM EDT, GagaOOLala) @lurkingshan is already doing a great summary of this week to week in her JQL weekly round-up!

Affair the series ep 8/8 END (Thai, Fridays 11:15 AM EDT, iQIYI/ YouTube) Other than the jealousy in the last 10 minutes of the show, I really did like this ending for the series. I really liked Wan's decision to take time for herself after being disappointed by Pleng's decision again. The plot and melodramatic-ness of this show is not my favourite, but I enjoyed it week to week in spite of that. The acting was so solid, the women so gorgeous, the chemistry so fire, and the writing was great for the genre its in (the story was internally consistent and coherent, and the characters were complex and their motivations were clear. There was even a good plot reason for the 'they might be siblings' twist). If you don't mind melodrama, give this one a try!

*Pluto ep 1/12 NEW (Thai, Saturdays 9:30 AM EDT, YouTube) Starting off with a fantastic kiss and Namtan on a motorcycle is truly an incredible opening gambit. That being said, I don't buy the core premise of the plot and it is making it difficult for me to actually enjoy the show. I'll probably be mostly quiet about this one because the things I don't like about it aren't actually about its execution but rather my taste.

*Apple My Love ep 2/7 NEW (Thai, Saturdays 11:45 AM EDT, GagaOOLala and YouTube) I already shouted on main about ep1 here; so far I'm obsessed with this show. Kris is too gay to function, and the misunderstanding is perfectly executed. Very excited for this one, it's so far fantastic.

The Loyal Pin ep 12/16 (Thai, Sundays 12:15 PM EDT, YouTube) Anin's speech in this episode was fire. I feel for these girls, Anin and Pin are just so desperate to be together and their choices are limited. This show continues to be gorgeous and so well done, and I keep bracing for pain.

Red Whisper ep 4/8 (Korea, [schedule is kinda unpredictable; vaguely every 5 days??], YouTube) Cheating and taking advantage while your crush is heartbroken and drunk is not my fave but is par for the course with these SukFilm short series; my fave so far has been their first GL so if you haven't seen that yet I'd honestly recommend that instead.

Recent One-offs & Side Couples

We finally got the sapphic backstory in The Hidden Moon but it was (as expected) sad and mostly inferred.

We also got more of the Aim as a Lesbian plotline in the new Love Sick 2024 remake (this was not a plotline in the 2014 version and it's one of the changes I really like and that I think works really well)

Sastra film app YouTube channel has several short Cambodian GL series that come out weekly Honestly they are not to my taste but I don't like gatekeeping GL especially from smaller markets. I check in on these time to time and if there are any that I think are great I'll give them a shout-out

basil hawkins' cartomancy continued: "probability"

knowing that this is more work than oda put in, here's what i've worked out as a possible way to use an enormous tarot spread for hawkins' probability readings. to be clear, i think this is total bullshit, moreso than tarot itself. the most any serious tarot reader would do is pose a question, draw a single card, and take that as a "yes," "no," "likely," "unlikely," what have you based on the gist of the card's meaning. however, i need this model for myself as i write the kawkins prequel fic, where we will argue about it

the spread

i like that oda didn't entertain for one second that hawkins would place his cards horizontally. firstly, it doesn't make for nice manga panels and practically requires a flat surface. secondly, hawkins' spreads seem to have at minimum eight cards, which is enormous. more to interpret if you're doing a classic 10-card spread like the celtic cross.

appropriately, i'm using my pip deck, the golden visconti-sforza where the minor arcana resemble playing cards instead of the classic smith illustrations. i don't read reversals and shuffle my cards so they don't happen, but this is not my daily deck, so i'll make it hawkins' and allow reversals (jesus christ we're down bad). what i drew with the question, "what's the probability i will finish my hawkins horoscope post this week?":

i agree with most of the above except for two cards: the devil and the emperor.

3 of coins reversed: upright, this is card about community and collaboration and tbh mutual aid; more of an alliance or coalition than cozy friendship. reversed, it's about a lack of cooperation. so i stand by -3.

the hanged man reversed: I LIKE THE HANGED MAN. i think it's a neutral to positive card. he hangs by his foot, not his neck. he is j chilling, contemplating, he's chosen to be there as an act of sacrifice. in one piece, the hanged man is luffy smiling on the gallows in loguetown, or the g-5 showing a thumbs up as they save tashigi, or any of the times zoro or sanji fall back to defend the rear as the other straw hats run ahead. reversed? that is not my friend. the hanged man reversed is just the doubt and fear that is surely running under the surface of all the aforementioned. can you tell i hate reversals? whatever. still -12.

judgment reversed: judgment is assessment. luffy in udon saying "not enough" or "still not right" when trying to learn ryou. reversed, it's stubbornness and a refusal to learn from your past or take advice, like hawkins ignoring drake's suggestion that he betray kaidou, or law and kid going after emperors despite knowing they needed each other to defeat big mom. i guess i stand by -20 for this too.

seven of coins upright: the classic imagery for the seven of coins is a guy sowing, hard work that will pay off later. +7 stands here too.

the devil reversed: NOW we're getting somewhere. firstly, i think the first thing hawkins would have thought upon seeing kaidou was he looks like the devil. secondly, the devil is one of few major arcana i struggle to see as double-edged. classic booklet interpretations frankly get finger-waggy and ableist by saying the devil signifies addiction, mental instability, violence, what have you, but it's way more about temptation and fear to me, giving in to fear with unhealthy copes and trapping yourself. it's hawkins losing to his animal fear of kaidou and big mom that he can't believe kid and killer don't feel or are able to ignore. reversed? reversed is kid and killer! this is positive! +15!

the chariot reversed: the chariot is about advancing forward despite fear, perhaps in a suicide charge. there's something about contradictions here that feels related to temperance. it's associated with mars, but also cancer, a sign where it's fallen (that i gave hawkins in his birth chart). reversed? man i don't know. i guess it's someone who can't square with those contradictions and just freezes. still a -7.

ace of wands reversed: i want to ignore this integer so bad. aces are my favorite cards, really, as the purest manifestation of their suit/element, but. whatever we'll stick to -1.

the emperor reversed: i don't know how we didn't see this card in the arc where two yonko fall. the emperor is stubborn and conservative and martial, tightly controlling his domain possibly through isolation. does this sound familiar? does this sound like, i don't know, sakoku? reversed, i think it must be the one piece myth of a benevolent, open-minded king, the sort that the straw hats go around restoring to the throne: nefertari cobra, riku, momonosuke. much like with the devil and much like sabo not really giving a fuck about cobra (based), i reject a subtraction. +4.

justice reversed. this is a loaded term in one piece and if justice came up in a reading done for any marine they would start crying. i think. i don't have much to say here though. still -8.

Nah you're good, that's why my askbox is always open. I don't care if they're from the same two folks, if it's a good idea, I write it! And I guess remembering their names for me is easy since I've played Call of Duty for as long as I've been alive, so I just have these weapon names burned into my brain for the rest of my life.

M4 gives a shy smile before letting S/O rest their head onto her chest.

She supposed it was only fair. After all, a lot of the times she liked hearing their heartbeat, S/O should be able to do the same.

M4 has a hand on S/O's face, gently caressing their cheek as she enjoys the intimacy.

(M4A1) "...How is it?"

(S/O) "A...little weird, to be honest. It's not so much of a heartbeat as it is just a faint whirring noise. But...it's comforting."

She giggled cutely at their honesty, her mouth instinctively going to cover her mouth as she did so.

Even though M4 wasn't human, she sure acted like one.

(M4A1) "I'm glad."

M4 held S/O's waist and let their head sink in deeper into her chest, hugging them tighter and closing her eyes.

M16 is extremely flustered, one finger pulling at her collars as her eye averted making direct contact with S/O.

(M16A1) "Uh...S-Sure, go 'head."

M16 feels S/O weight lean into her as their head gently stopped on her chest.

She looked down and saw S/O with their eyes closed, listening contently as their smile slowly grew.

(S/O) "I...think I hear your systems heating up faster. Heh, are you embarrassed?"

(M16A1) "C-Course not! It takes a lot more than that to make me nervous!"

M16 puffed out her chest confidently, though the fact she began blushing betrayed her true emotions.

After a couple seconds of S/O not responding, she sighs and begins pouting.

(M16A1) "...A-Alright, how long are you staying like that?"

(S/O) "I don't know, how many times did you lay on me?~"

M16 mumbled something under her breath but eventually relaxed.

Truthfully, she adored how close S/O was, but she'd be damned if she was going to admit it first.

(AK-12) "By all means, go ahead."

12 patted her chest with her hand, inviting S/O in.

She hummed once S/O put her head onto her, staying unnaturally still despite how human she appeared to be.

(AK-12) "If I didn't know any better, I'd just say you were looking for an excuse to just examine me up close.~"

(S/O) "My head isn't in the gutter, 12."

12 giggled at their response, her hand finally resting on S/O's.

(AK-12) "I know. I just wanted to see your reaction."

As much as she did want to tease S/O more, she decided to let them have this for a few moments longer.

It wasn't often they got to be this intimate after all.

And with the missions she undertook, who knows how many times she could get to do this.

Trailing off that line of thought, 12 instead decided to peek at S/O, one of her eyes slightly opening.

Commiting the sight to memory, she closed it again and just leaned back.

(UMP45) "Make a joke about my chest and I'll kill you."

(S/O) "Did I say anything?"

(UMP45) "I'm just saying-"

(S/O) "I didn't say anything!"

45 sighed but couldn't hold back a chuckle, laying down for S/O to properly rest their head on her.

She was not used to this kind of intimacy, or any kind really.

Having someone this close to her was completely alien. She remained stiff before S/O cuddled closer, finally letting her relax even the slightest amount.

(UMP45) "It doesn't feel weird?"

(S/O) "...Kinda, but not in the way you're thinking. Instead of a thumping, I just hear...a fan going on? I'm not sure what it is."

UMP45 laughed at their confused reaction, both hands resting on S/O's shoulders.

(UMP45) "Because you're on a robot, dummy."

(S/O) "Hm...Wrong. I'm on someone I love."

She rolled her eyes but smiled at that.

(UMP45) "When did you get so smooth?"

(S/O) "Learned it from a certain girl who has a sharp tongue."

(UMP45) "Mm...Wonder who that could be."

Springfield instantly accepts S/O's request, no hesitation.

(Springfield) "Come here!"

Springfield takes S/O into a gentle embrace as their head rests on her rather large chest.

Her hand strokes their hair as she's fighting back the urge to just hug S/O tight altogether.

(Springfield) "Are you comfortable, dear?"

(S/O) "Quite."

Springfield lets out a small giggle as she relaxes into S/O herself.

(Springfield) "I might not be as comforting as a human, but I hope you like it all the same."

(S/O) "You make me feel loved more than any human could, Springfield."

She doesn't fight back the smile overtaking the corners of her lips.

Springfield leans further into S/O's head, one hand resting in their hair as the other sits by her lap.

(SPAS-12) "S-Sure, I don't mind!"

SPAS is a little flustered at having S/O in close proximity, but she doesn't take long to relax.

S/O is able to rest their head on her chest no problem, as SPAS's fingers fidget, unsure if they were uncomfortable.

(SPAS-12) "Um...it doesn't feel weird, does it?"

(S/O) "It's actually really comfortable here."

(SPAS-12) "I mean my heartbeat!"

SPAS blurts out quickly, turning slightly red.

(S/O) "O-Oh! Right!...Honestly, It's a bit strange, but it doesn't feel bad to hear."

(SPAS-12) "Strange?"

(S/O) "It's not like my heartbeat but...it's still comforting. Getting to hear you be...alive...Sorry, this must make no sense."

SPAS smiles and hugs S/O tightly, making sure to not threaten the stability of their bones.

(SPAS-12) "I...think I get it."

SPAS adjusts herself slightly so that they can rest their head even more comfortably on her chest.

first things first: "wait and see" is bad advice

anyone who tells you "oh, they'll grow out of it" can go. we're in our "act early" era.

why? because a little kid's brain is basically soft clay. it's constantly learning and building pathways. this is called neuroplasticity and it's your superpower window.!

getting support early isn't about "fixing" them. it's about giving them the cheat codes to a world that wasn't built for their brain. it's about learning their language.

cracking the code: the signs

autism is a spectrum. it's not a checklist. but there are patterns. look for a collection of these things, not just one.

the baby & toddler vibe (0-24 months)

not super into eye contact

doesn't turn their head when you call their name (by ~9 months)

doesn't share their excitement with you (not pointing at a cool thing and then looking back at you like "omg did u see that?!")

not using gestures like waving or pointing by 12-16 months

repetitive movements, like flapping hands (stimming!), rocking, or spinning in circles

gets OBSESSED with parts of objects, like the wheels on a car, instead of the whole toy

extreme reactions to sounds, textures, or lights (hates the vacuum, won't touch grass, etc.)

the preschool era (2-5 years)

this is when the social stuff gets more complex, so the differences can get louder.

speech is delayed, or they talk in a unique way (like a little professor or using lines from tv)

echolalia: repeating what you say or lines from shows. this IS communication, just fyi.

talks at you about their intense interest (hi, dinosaurs) but doesn't really have a back-and-forth convo

takes everything you say literally. "it's raining cats and dogs" is genuinely confusing.

play looks different. lots of lining things up, sorting by color, or acting out the same scene over and over.

THE NEED FOR SAMENESS. routines are life. if you cut the toast the wrong way or drive a different way home, it can cause a full-blown meltdown. this is a big one.

sensory stuff gets bigger. they might be a seeker (craves crashing, spinning, deep hugs) or an avoider (hates loud noises, tags on clothes, crowded places).

milestones are a vibe check, not a final grade

milestones are just a general map of what most kids are doing by a certain age. they are not a weapon to make you feel bad.

their only job is to help you see a pattern. if your kid is consistently missing milestones in one area (like social stuff), it gives you something specific to talk to a doctor about. it’s data for your case file.

no need for a huge chart. just know that if you're looking at the CDC's milestone app and you're checking "not yet" for a bunch of social and communication things, it's a sign to act.

ur detective kit: how to get ppl to listen

you have a gut feeling. here's how to turn it into undeniable evidence.

the notes app is ur bff. write down specific examples. not "he's difficult." but "tuesday: screamed for 15 mins at the park when i said it was time to go."

take videos. a 20-second clip of your kid stimming or not responding to their name is worth more than an hour of you trying to explain it.

trust your gut. i'm saying it again. louder this time. you know your child. if someone dismisses you, that's a them problem. find someone who listens.

the diagnosis journey: a mood board

it can be a whole thing. here's the short version.

step 1: the doc. you go to your pediatrician with your notes and videos. you say, "i have concerns. i want a referral for a developmental evaluation." be polite, but firm.

step 2: the wait. you get a referral to a specialist. the waitlist is probably a million years long. this is normal, and it sucks.![alt text]()

what to do while you wait: get on multiple lists. call your state's early intervention program (under 3) or your local school district (3+). they can often do evals for free without a doctor's referral.

step 3: the eval. it's a long appointment. they'll talk to you for ages. they'll play with your kid. they'll use official tools like the ADOS-2, which is basically a structured play session to see how your kid's social brain works.

step 4: the report. you get the results. maybe it's autism, maybe it's something else. you get a big packet that explains everything. this packet is now your key to getting services and support in school.

getting the diagnosis can feel... a lot. it can be relief and grief and fear all at once. let yourself feel it all. this isn't an end point. it's a new beginning with a better map.

life after the label

the diagnosis doesn't change who your kid is. it just gives you a better understanding of their operating system.

find ur people. seriously. find other parents of autistic kids online or irl. they get it. they will be your lifeline.

embrace neurodiversity. autism isn't a tragedy. it's a different way of being human. autistic people have insane strengths: deep focus, honesty, loyalty, creativity, a unique view of the world.

your job is to help them with the hard stuff while celebrating the cool stuff that makes them, them.

Ageism in the LADS community.

I have been playing LOVE AND DEEPSPACE for a while now. I have reached level 54 and I have been enjoying it so far. But what struck me and absolutely seems ridiculous to me, is the ageism within the fandom that's either slowly rearing its head or it was always there. Either way, I have seen many Tweets pop up on my timeline on Twitter (X) and I have to say…

What a bunch of BS!

It's not because a woman reached her late 20s or early 30s, or even reached her mid 40s, that she can't enjoy any hobbies! What I have seen from other people is that the content for LADS is 18+. Which means 12 year olds and anyone else under the age of 18 or above, shouldn't even be playing this game! The content is not for you, clearly! The explicit scenes and audio make that more than clear. If you do decide to download the game and play it, you're responsible for being exposed to all the explicit content. Not the people who basically, so it seems, keeps the game alive because those people (women well over 18) are able to afford passes and to buy all sorts of material in order to get the full story.

I, myself, am F2P for now but I won't sit here and tolerate some teenager or 18 year-old whining about grown women playing a game that is not even catering towards a much younger audience.

Women, grown women with a job, started fandom spaces. It's because of them we now have a wide fandom centered space like Twitter (X), Tumblr and Reddit (to name a few). But to attack those women for their age and the fact they enjoy a game is absolutely RIDICULOUS.

Why don't you grow up instead? Why don't you jsut realise that life doesn't end at 29.

Life didn't end for me! I'm 29 years old and life is still going for me. It didn't end. Neither does it end when I'll turn 30. Why? Because I'll still have my hobbies. I'll still be writing fanfiction, most likely and I will still enjoy Otome gacha games because sometimes I don't want to be faced with the responsibilities of an adult.

Games like LADS offer a way for us all to escape the boring routine of our daily lives. It's like reading a book. It offers us a way to relax and put our feet up. If some teenager is whining about it because god forbid it's a YOUNG ADULT NOVEL, then I will simply tell the teenager: "mind your own business". We all have genres we like in books. We all have games we like and we all consume media daily. So why act like any fandom space should exclude women and men over 18? When fandom spaces were created by people, women, in their 30s. Just mind your own business and let us enjoy our damn game. We're not harming anyone by just enjoying our sexy LADS men and commenting on or reposting a tweet we like.

To compare today's onceler fandom vs 2012's onceler fandom...man I could talk forever about this haha! This is all just from my own point of view of course but I would say, yes a lot of things are different, but a lot of things are the same, too.

For the differences, a lot of them are simply due to the way the internet has changed in 12 years. In 2012, most oncelings were in their early 20s, and if you were younger than 16 you were extremely rare and we would be like "WOAH?? THEY'RE 15?? I HAVE NEVER SEEN A 15 YEAR OLD ON SOCIAL MEDIA BEFORE". But today's oncelings are like, mostly teens now, I feel? I think it's because of tiktok, which didn't exist internationally until 2018, and also because of parents giving ipads to their kids at the age of 2. But yeah, to compare today to 2012 is like comparing gen z to millennials, the content and jokes were different and, due to 2012 being in the past, what was socially acceptable was different, too.

Another thing that's different is the way young people act towards characters nowadays, but let me specify some more. I really dislike the term "content" when referring to someone's personal creations because it just sounds so corporate. And I don't know how to feel when I see some new oncelings treat an old popular askblog character as if they're public property produced by some big company, instead of as an OC that someone worked really hard on. For example, Truffula Flu Camp Entre and Thneedville High AU are like "established media" to a lot of people out there now, as if they're well-known series recognizable to the masses (no, they're not). And as a result, I've seen people headcanon whatever they want on other people's OCs and ship them however they want without even knowing if the mods are okay with those ships anymore (it's better to be real careful, if you want my advice..). I've also seen new oncelings give other people's OCs to public merch-selling sites without the mods' permission, and I've even seen new oncelings try to take inactive askblog OCs as their own. Why? :( Just make your own OCs. You can do it! Hold my hand.

New oncelings don't understand what they're stepping into when they look at our old content from over a decade ago. Our personal feelings and our private friendships from those times, whether good or bad, are precious to us and I guess it's just a new phenomenon that we have to deal with now, so I don't have the answers for this yet. But I would encourage everyone to also look at new and current OCs in the fandom - which many people do, and I love to see that!! I also love seeing people making friends with each other and having fun with each other, that's what reminds me of the better days of 2012.

Another difference is the...landscape? We have tumblr DMs now and we have discord communities so a lot of things are hidden now from public view. RPs used to be public on tumblr but now we rp on discord and only people in the server can read them, and there are pros and cons to that. Also the fandom isn't dominated by only a handful of askblogs anymore. Things are WAY more balanced and evenly distributed now compared to 2012, where Swag Once-ler was the king of the fandom with 200 asks sent to him every hour and 4000 followers accumulated in just 5 months. (And I'm not dissing on Swag, I loved Swag too. I'm just stating my observations. In fact I miss him a lot ;-;)

As for what's the same...xD The excitement and passion that a lot of new oncelings have! I find that so cute. People being creative is the same, people gushing over the onceler and fandom ocs is the same, even if internet slang has changed. People being ambitious with projects is the same, even if those projects are never finished (but this is just general human nature). And PEOPLE BEING SWEET TO EACH OTHER is the same! I was nervous during 2020 since a lot of "ironic" fans joined that year but I'm happy to have seen some genuinely sweet people around in more recent years, just like there were in 2012. 😊

I also see a lot of the same movie analysis discussions each year, which makes sense since new people keep entering the fandom, haha! "The lorax movie could've been better", "the 1972 film is better", "I wish they kept biggering", "they should've expanded the factory scenes and taken out the car chase scene", "i hate the onceler's mom", "the movie's point gets muddled because too many people think his mom's to blame", "i can't believe zac efron and taylor swift didn't sing in the movie", and on and on, those never change, and I've seen these same discussions so often that I support the antithesis of each topic now, just to be a rebel. 😇 But usually I don't engage in those anymore, I just think "haha aww! they're having fun :]" and leave them be! But like, it truly reminds me of the earlier days. It's me who has changed, in this case.

And finally, "do you miss something from the fandom? Something that you don’t see here anymore or not as much as it used to be?" I mentioned Swag already, I also miss a lot of other askblogs that belonged to my friends, and most of all I miss a lot of my friends who've drifted away, and I hope they're all doing well. I had a lot of good times with friends over the years. Some of them were rp partners and I miss our rps and I miss their characters dearly, I can't think about it too hard or else I might cry. What else...I want to say that I miss the crazy nightblogging events we used to have but I don't know if I could keep up with those anymore if they happened again haha. Same with askblogs answering asks live, almost no one does that now because people want so much to make every ask pretty with a new pretty artwork. But like, even if that comes back, again I don't know if I could keep up. So I suppose everything had its place!

Things will continue to shift and change, and you never know what the future holds so it's best to just keep going. I'm still making new friends and new good memories in the fandom each year, and I'm grateful for that.
