Ultimately the resolution of Jason and Cass fights comes down to the fact that while he has his own ideals that don't mesh with the bats, Jason can be flexible. DC skipped the whole reconciliation with the family but while he's willing to kill it's generally a means to an end to him, not the whole entire point unless you're talking about Joker. Meanwhile for Cass the question of killing vs not killing is dead serious to her which means any time they're working together and things start going off track it's like:

Jason: Look if we kill this guy we send a message to his boss which makes it easier for us to negotiate with him from a position of power and I just think that-

Cass, snatching one of his guns and pointing it at her own head: Go on, pull the trigger. Kill him. Kill me. Go tell Batman that you let his daughter die to make a negotiation easier. He already let you die so no problem right? You think we should die? You think our life only worthwhile as part of a plan, just because we're killers? Are we doomed? Are we rotten to the core with no hope of redemption? Go on then, kill us and kill part of your soul alongside it. You clearly don't care for it so why are you even trying? i may or may not be planning a fic where one of the many subplots is that Jason (as Red Hood, but Danny already knows) is following/investigating Danny because he thinks Danny’s dangerous somehow. I won’t go into the details because it’s so much, but point is i have a silly little scene in my head wherein Danny goes out to work on a uni group project with Tim, and on their way to the cafe some asshole car hits a guy on a motorcycle. The Biker goes into a rage and starts cursing him out, takes off his helmet and lo and behold it’s Jason.

Mid-verbal fight with the asshole he catches sight of Tim (recording the whole thing and waving at Jason) and of Danny (potential danger he’s been investigating for nearly two weeks), and Jason gives the asshole a “this isn’t over” threat and dips. Then,

Tim, who noticed Danny’s reaction: You know that guy?

Danny: Oh, yeah, that’s my stalker. You?

Tim: Nemesis. I’m sorry he’s your what?

Tim texting Jason: are you stalking my classmate??

Jason: Mind your own business, Replacement.

Jason: Wait, did he tell you that?

Not a specific but rather generic confession I am a selfish media consumer and have no interest in being morally pure so I consume everything even if urged not to. My enjoyment of media comes first thus I played games such as Heavy Rain, Detroit Become Human, Hogwarts Legacy, TloU2. I also still enjoy countless movies with cancelled actors in it such as American Beauty, Ferris Bueller's Day Off. 🫠 In short maybe my confession is that I very gladly separate art from the artist based on my highly personal and often selfish selective morals. A tragedy befell my project yesterday so naturally I made memes about it

“trans men don’t have any real safety concerns to worry about” i can’t wear a mask when i go into public bathrooms even though i’m higher risk and bathrooms are some of the easiest places to get sick because i don’t reliably pass when my facial hair is covered and i can’t risk not passing when i use the men’s room, but i also can’t just use the women’s room for safety anymore because i don’t reliably pass as either binary gender anymore. so my only options are to risk getting sick, take my chances with the consequences of not passing, or just never use the bathroom in public (which has its own health risks).

and today, it almost didn’t even matter that i was putting myself in danger to ensure that i passed because, thanks to a faulty lock and a man who didn’t think to knock, i came very close to having my half-naked body exposed to a bathroom full of cis men. if i hadn’t been holding my coat on my lap because there was nowhere in the stall to put it, every single guy waiting in the (very crowded) bathroom would’ve seen that i didn’t have a dick. how well do you think that would’ve gone for me? my money’s on Not Well At All.

I'm always thinking about when Troy says that Abed "explains things to me in very simple words because he knows I get confused sometimes" (paraphrased from "Conventions of Time and Space). Troy's spent his whole life being told he's stupid, but Abed helps him understand things he finds difficult without making him feel lesser. When Abed sees the lava in "Geothermal Escapism," Troy understands immediately what that means, and that telling Abed it's not real won't help (because Abed knows it's not real, he knows he's "crazy" for seeing it), instead Troy reacts as if it's real for him too, he finds ways to comfort Abed within his perceived reality. Neither of them ever deny that the other has traits which are seen negatively by most people and which get in the way of functioning sometimes, they just accept these things and help how they can.

I dunno, it's about the unparalleled tenderness of seeing the thing someone hates about themself and choosing to cherish it. Abed thinks he's crazy and Troy thinks he's stupid, but they each see the other as perfect.
