lowkey ashamed but could you write a blurb abt loser art who is on 4chan? i saw that meme where the guy is like “i didn’t know there was girls on here that’s so cool :)” and i thought of him
hiding behind anon bc i’m embarrassed
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
a/n:: i kinda took like concepts of this?? i don’t use 4chan so idk the vibes but i just kinda made it chronically online loser art i hope that’s okay! it kinda just got lovey dovey stupid <3333
art knew, objectively, that he wasn’t very cool. he didn’t have very many friends in real life, and he admittedly was not very good at talking to girls.
online, though, he could be anyone he wanted. not that he’d lie, of course. he was far too good of a person for that. but he was so free with his interests, able to talk about his opinions in a way he’d never had in public settings.
he’d seen you around campus, leaving classes or out walking, usually alone with earbuds in. you were the kind of girl he’d dream of, but never speak to, effortlessly pretty and always seeming so relaxed.
you’d made a little home in art’s search history, admittedly. he made more frequent than he’d like to admit, visits to your instagram, twitter, really anywhere he could get a deeper insight into you.
you were funny, he could tell that much. constantly retweeting things he’d seen on his own feed, posting .5s to your instagram story with cutesy captions. he was almost embarrassed of how often he looked, but you’d never know, right?
he’d been mindlessly complaining the first time your name ever appeared across his screen not by his own searching.
Tumblr media
it was so jarring he almost threw his phone down, truly. he’d panicked for a moment, contemplating even replying, but immediately regretting the very thought of ignoring you, of missing his shot. so he’d thought up a witty reply, as best he could, but his phone chimed again before he even had the chance.
‘hey art! hope it’s okay i went ahead and messaged you. here’s the notes for philosophy! x’
god, he’s nearly fainted at the little x, his heart beating embarrassingly fast. ‘thanks! this is a huge help, you’re the best’
you’re the best? god, who says that? in just one interaction, you’d already demolished the safety he’d built in his little corner of the internet. it was worth it, he guessed, to be able to actually talk to you, instead of borderline stalking your socials.
you hadn’t responded, and he tried to ignore it, until eventually he gave in and refreshed your stories. you’d posted on instagram, a little green ring around your pfp, and his eyes lit up. close friends? him?
and there you were, a sultry little smile on your lips as you gazed up at whoever held the camera, a 1975 song playing in the background. god, you were so fuckin pretty. he found himself lost in it, staring aimlessly at the photo, examining every inch of your face like a piece of art.
finally, with shaky hands, he slid up on the post. ‘i love this song’ he sent, biting the inside of his cheek, burning with embarrassment for no real reason. this was a totally normal interaction, he told himself. you were just way out of his league, that’s all.
you replied back soon after, ‘saw you posted it the other day. didn’t know you were a fan’
god, you saw what he posted?
‘yeah, i’ve loved them for ages, it’s cool you like them too.’
‘maybe we could hang out some time and talk ab it?’
oh, fuck.
‘yeah? i’d like that’
his cheeks were heated at the thought, of being really with you, not just hiding behind his phone screen and thinking all his spiraled thoughts of you.
god, you, your big pretty eyes and sweet smile and disinterested gaze you always seemed to have when he saw you in public. you were so fucking cool, so so far out of his league, not even close.
embarrassingly, once again, he was hard just thinking about it, about your face and your laugh and the very prospect of being close to you. he was helpless to stop himself, slipping a hand underneath his boxers as he scrolled through your instagram, looking over all your pictures pretty pictures and replaying your interaction on a loop until he was whining and bucking up into his own fist, a wet spot on the cotton of his underwear as he came to nothing but a photo of you on the beach the summer prior. he was so fucked.

Part 7
Spare Parts - Part 8
The clubhouse was alive with the usual mix of rowdy laughter, beer bottles clinking, and the heavy scent of motor oil and cigarette smoke clinging to the air.
Mayans were scattered across the space—some playing pool, others nursing drinks, and a few bickering over a game of cards.
The ever-present hum of bikes rumbling outside punctuated the atmosphere, a steady reminder of the world you had stumbled into.
And here you were, standing in the middle of it all, holding a carefully balanced pavlova on a tray.
You hadn’t expected it to be this chaotic.
You hesitated, suddenly second-guessing everything—was this stupid?
Were they even going to like it?
Would they miss you? You shook the thourghts out of your head.
Before you could turn back, Gilly spotted you.
"Ayy, what we got here?" He leaned against the bar, eyes flicking down to the dessert in your hands. "That for us?"
Your fingers curled slightly around the tray. "I, um—yeah. It’s a pavlova."
Bishop, who had been sipping his beer at the bar, raised an eyebrow. "The fuck is a pavlova?"
"Like… a cake?" EZ guessed.
You shook your head. "Not really. It’s, um… meringue-based? Kinda crisp on the outside but soft inside?"
There was a brief pause, then Gilly shrugged. "Shit, I’ll try anything once."
You set it down on the nearest table, along with your phone and keys, stepping back as they gathered around.
Forks stabbed into the delicate, cream-topped dessert.
Angel took a bite, pausing mid-chew before nodding. "Okay, okay. This shit’s kinda fire."
Creeper grunted in agreement. "Yeah. This some Aotearoa shit?"
You brightened slightly. "Yeah! It’s, like, the national dessert."
Gilly pointed at you with his fork. "Ain’t you from, like, England or some shit?"
"Aotearoa, Gilly I literally just said that" you corrected, lips twitching.
"Same thing," Angel muttered around another bite.
You rolled your eyes. "Not even close, guys"
EZ smirked. "What’s with the travel sites?"
You blinked. "What?"
He nodded toward your phone, which you’d left on the table.
The screen was still lit, tabs open to various travel pages—flights, hotels, destinations.
Your stomach twisted, you hadn't meant for them to see.
"Oh. Just… looking." You shrugged
"Looking to go somewhere?" Gilly asked.
You hesitated. "I mean… maybe?"
Creeper frowned slightly. "Why?"
You hesitated.
You hadn’t meant to have this conversation.
But the words slipped out before you could stop them. "I just—maybe I should go on to the next destination, y'know?"
The clubhouse fell silent.
Angel set his fork down. "The fuck you mean?"
Your heart hammered. "It’s just…" You shifted under their stares. "I mean, I am traveling and Letty said—"
A sharp groan cut through the air.
"Aww, hell no," Angel muttered, rubbing a hand down his face.
"What’d that little cabrona say now?" Gilly asked.
You shrugged. "She just… she told me what muñeca really means."
Angel froze mid-sip of his beer, slowly lowering the bottle. "What."
You swallowed hard. "She said it’s, like… a toy. Like something y'know one time use. Something you use and then throw away."
The clubhouse went dead fucking silent.
Creeper muttered something under his breath, shaking his head.
Gilly let out a sharp laugh. "You believed her?"
You flushed. "Well I mean—"
"Holy shit," Angel groaned, dragging a hand down his face. "That is not what it means."
"C'mon its ok" You said with a shrug and a too wide smile.
"That little brat did that shit on purpose," Hank muttered. "Fucking with you just to fuck with you."
"She got in your head, huh?" Angel smirked. "Shit, no wonder you’re looking at flights."
You dropped your gaze. "I just... didn't want to make a big deal out of something that isn't ... anything"
Angel leaned back in his chair, shaking his head. "Letty's a little shit."
"Yeah," Gilly agreed. "Coco’s gonna lose his mind when he finds out."
Your blinked. "What—"
"Oh, yeah," Angel smirked. "That fool’s gonna be pissed."
Tumblr media
Coco showed up later, striding into the clubhouse with Letty trailing behind, a cigarette hanging from his lips.
He barely had time to take two steps inside before Angel called out, "Yo, Coco! You know your muñeca was about to book a one-way flight outta here?"
Coco stopped mid-step, frown deepening. "The fuck you talkin’ about?"
Creeper gestured toward you. "Ask her."
Coco’s gaze snapped to you. "Muñeca." His voice was lower now, edged with something unreadable. "That true?"
You hesitated. "I mean—just looking"
Letty snorted. "Oh, my bad—"
Before she could say another word, Coco turned on her so fast she flinched.
"What the fuck did you say to her?" His voice was quiet, dangerous.
Letty scoffed. "Why is this my fault?"
"Leticia"
Something in his tone made her roll her eyes and mumble, "Nothing."
Coco stared at her for a beat longer before exhaling sharply, turning back to you. "Come on."
You blinked. "What?"
"We’re leaving."
Your stomach flipped. "But—"
"Now, muñeca."
"Excuse m—"
The look he gave you made your protest die in your throat.
Tumblr media
You followed him outside the sun already stretching the shadows around the clubhouse, you fell into step beside him heading towards Coco’s bike.
Then, before you could stop yourself, the words tumbled out. "Letty told me what muñeca really means."
Coco went completely still.
You swallowed hard. "She—she said it’s like… a toy. A cheap throwaway thing."
Coco’s jaw clenched.
Then—slowly, carefully—he exhaled, rubbing his hand down his face before muttering under his breath, "Pinche cabrona…"
You shifted. "Is it true?"
His eyes snapped back to yours, dark and unreadable. "Do I look like the kinda pendejo that would call you that?"
You didn’t know what to say, so you just shrugged.
Coco let out a rough laugh, shaking his head. "Damn, muñeca, you really think I’d do you that dirty?"
Your cheeks flushed. "I don’t—we're not—"
"Lemme tell you somethin’." Coco leaned in, voice low. "If I wanted a cheap little toy? I’d have one. But you?—" His gaze flicked over you, something unreadable in his expression. "You ain’t that."
You crossed your arms. "Then what am I?"
Coco smirked. "Muñeca."
You frowned. "But that doesn't—"
"No," he interrupted, tapping his fingers against his handlebars. "You wanna know what it really means?"
You nodded your crossed arms loosening slightly.
Coco tilted his head. "It means you’re fuckin’ precious, okay?"
You scoffed, the word sounding a little pretentious for you. "Precious?"
"Yeah." He leaned back, rolling his shoulders. "Like—one-of-a-kind, kinda shit."
Your chest felt tight. "Oh."
Coco snorted. "Yeah. Oh."
You swallowed. "So Letty was—"
"—talkin’ out her ass?" Coco finished. "Yeah. Shocker."
You let out a breath.
Coco watched you for a moment, then—satisfied—he stretched his arms over his head. "Now get your ass on the damn bike."
Tumblr media
The ride back from the clubhouse was quiet. Nothing but the wind whipping your hair around as Coco drove you back to his place.
Back at his place, you sat curled up on the couch, legs tucked beneath you.
"You really out here listenin’ to Letty, huh? Damn, muñeca, I thought you were smarter than that."
You fiddled with the hem of your shirt. "I just… I didn’t want to misunderstand something important."
He exhaled sharply, shaking his head. "Yeah, well. Maybe next time, ask the grown-ass man callin’ you something instead of a brat who still throws tantrums."
You couldn’t help it. A small, breathy laugh slipped out.
Coco smirked. "Ah, there she is."
Tumblr media
Coco wasn’t subtle. Not even a little.
He sat next to you—not too close, but just enough that the cushions dipped toward him, pulling you an inch closer.
You didn’t move away.
So he took that as a win.
"You still mad at me, muñeca?" His voice was lazy, teasing.
You glanced at him. "I was never mad at you."
"You sure? ‘Cause you got that little crease right here—" His knuckles brushed your forehead lightly, quick enough that you barely registered the touch before his hand was gone. "—like you ‘bout to start stressin’ again."
You blinked, chest tightening at the touch for half a second.
"I—"
"Damn." He let out a dramatic sigh. "Now I feel bad. Gotta make it up to you somehow."
"You don’t have to—"
"Nah, nah. I do." He stretched his arms above his head, shifting slightly—just enough that his knee bumped against yours. "What you want? Ice cream? Movie night? You wanna rob a bank?"
You gave him a look. "Rob a bank?"
"Shit, why not? I’ll just stick you in the vault, let you grab all the cash."
"Coco."
"Aww, c’mon, muñeca. You’d be cute as hell in a ski mask."
You laughed despite yourself, shaking your head.
His smirk softened.
And then, he got bolder.
"You tired?" His voice dropped, more casual now, like he was just asking.
"A little."
"C’mere."
Before you could even process what he meant, his arm stretched across the back of the couch, not quite touching you—just there.
An invitation.
You hesitated.
Coco didn’t move. Didn’t push.
Just let his fingers dangle near your shoulder, close enough that if you leaned even slightly, he could pull you in.
Your heart pounded.
You wanted to.
But your body wasn’t so sure.
"Damn, you really just gon’ leave me hangin’, huh?" He huffed dramatically, shifting to grab his beer from the table instead, breaking the tension like it hadn’t even been there. "Fine. Guess I’ll just cuddle my beer instead."
You relaxed slightly, your hands unclenching from where they had gripped your sleeves unconsciously.
Tumblr media
His phone rang.
Coco sighed, already looking annoyed as he leaned back and pulled it from his pocket. "¿Qué chingados quieres, Leticia?"
You couldn’t hear the words on the other end, but whatever she said made Coco sit up straighter. His whole expression shifted, going from tired amusement to something sharper.
"Wait—" His voice dropped into something serious. "The fuck you mean, she beat your ass?"
Your stomach tightened at the way his jaw clenched.
Coco was already moving, shoving his phone between his ear and shoulder as he grabbed his boots. "Where you at?"
You sat up, uneasy. "Coco—"
He held up a finger, silencing you without looking. "Nah, nah, mija, I don’t give a fuck—where are you?"
You couldn’t hear Letty’s response, but it made Coco mutter a string of curses in Spanish under his breath.
"Don’t move. I’m coming to get you."
He hung up and shot up from the couch, already grabbing his kutte. His whole body had gone tight, movements sharp—like he was holding something back.
"Stay here," he said shortly.
You frowned. "What happened?"
"Nothing you need to worry about, muñeca." His voice was gruff as he zipped his hoodie. "Letty got into it with Celina. She got fucked up."
You swallowed. "Is she okay?"
"She will be." Coco clipped something onto his belt and grabbed his keys. "I’ll handle it."
You scrambled up, blanket forgotten. "Jesus, I’ll come with you."
Coco let out a short, humorless laugh. "Like hell you will."
"Coco—"
"No." He pointed at you, voice firm in a way you never heard from him. "You don’t need to see that shit, chiquita. Stay here."
Then he was gone.

CHAPTER 17
Harlow
THE CLUB IS dark and loud, and I’m relieved when Wyn leads me to the bar, instead of the dance floor. Dancing isn’t my favorite thing—unless I’m drunk. After a few drinks, I’m a dancing queen. I’ll dance anywhere, with anyone. But I’m way too sober to hit the dance floor just yet.
As the bartender places a Mai Tai in front of me, a few of the other girls saddle up the bar, too. Nathan and a couple of the guys are right behind them.
Nathan settles next to me, trying to get the bartender’s attention, but he’s busy with the other girls.
I glance over at Noah and notice it’s just him, Nick, Nicholas, and Jolly sitting around the table. They look deep in conversation about something. Probably plotting something shady. Seems like something they would do.
“You get kicked out?” I ask Nathan, taking a sip of my drink. It’s a lot sweeter than I expected, and I scrunch my nose a little.
“I’m sorry?” Nathan says, raising his voice a little to be heard of the din of music and chatter.
I flick my chin in the direction of the table that we all just vacated. “The guys. Did they tell the rest of you to leave the table?”
“Oh,” he says. “Yeah, I guess they have something they need to talk about.”
“Fucking assholes,” I say, staring over at the table.
Nathan looks a little taken aback by my outright disdain. “They’re pretty cool, actually.”
Oh, fuck. Another mindless drone who drank the Noah Sabastian cool-aid. I guess that shouldn’t surprise me, though. Nathan is a member of the Burning Crown, so it makes sense that he’s offended on the Sons’ behalf. Still, it’s gross, and I’ve never been good at hiding my feelings.
“Sorry,” I say flatly. “I forgot those assholes are your friends.”
He manages to flag one of the bartenders down and orders a drink then turns and leans back on the bar, facing me. “You know, anyone on campus would kill to be in the position you’re in. It’s not often that random people are invited into The Circle. It’s an honor.”
An honor? Goddamn, this guy hasn’t just drunk the cool aid, he’s bathing in it on the daily.
“Right,” I say slowly. “Great point. I hadn’t thought of that.”
He smiles in approval. “Sometimes, it’s just a matter of perspective.” “Cool, yeah. Hey, have you seen my friend, Talia , by chance?” I pull up
a photo of her from my phone and show it to him. “Last time I saw her was yesterday morning.”
Nathan leans in, squinting at the photo, but when he pulls back, he looks uncomfortable. “Sorry, I haven’t seen her. I’m sure she’ll turn up. Have you asked her classmates?”
I shove my phone into my back pocket and blow out a breath. “Yup, I’ve been asking everyone.”
Nathan adjusts the sleeves on his jacket—more out of nervous habit, I’m guessing. “It’s not unusual for people to go missing around here…” A pause. “For a day or two…” he clarifies.
“Yeah, I’m hearing that a lot.” I flash him a tight smile. “Thanks, anyway.”
Making my excuses, I turn away from him to go find Wyn, who is sitting behind me, talking to one of the other Burning Crown girls.
“I’m starting to think I’m overreacting about Talia ,” I say to Wyn, taking a healthy sip of my drink. After the last couple of days I’ve had, I
can’t get drunk fast enough.
Wyn takes a sip from her tiny red straw and shimmies a little, clearly already feeling a little buzzed. “You need to loosen up. Have some fun.”
I suck down my drink and place the empty glass on the bar. I’m about to try and get the bartender’s attention to order another one, but before I can even lift my arm, the bartender slides a new Mai Tai in front of me.
“Oh, uh, thanks,” I say.
He takes my empty glass and with a wink, scoots away to serve someone else.
“Wow, the service here is great,” I say to Wyn.
She laughs. “I’ve been trying to get that guy’s attention all night. But you have the benefit of being campus royalty.”
Okay, but we’re not even on campus. I guess it doesn’t matter. It’s clear Noah and his friends’ families run his entire town.
Still, this kind of deference to me, a nobody, is weird, and it feels really awkward because I’m so used to being invisible. And I like being invisible
—because when you’re in the background, you’re not in the line of fire. You’re safe. You’re watching everyone else’s drama, and you’re not in the middle of it.
“So, is that guy your boyfriend?” I ask Wyn, curious about her situation. She’s obviously dating that guy, but she was also kinda flirty with Nick back there.
She glances over at Gabriel, who is standing on the patio, talking to someone. The sliding door is closed, but we can see them through the large window. “Yeah,” she says unenthusiastically. “We’ve been dating for about a year.”
“He’s cute,” I offer.
She leans on the bar, head resting on her shoulder. I can tell she’s already tipsy. “Yeah, but all the guys at ExU are cute. I’m starting to think ExU has started requesting headshots with people’s applications.”
We both laugh at that, but I’m feeling bold, so I press further. “So what’s with you and Nick? You guys looked a bit flirty.”
I don’t know Wyn well enough to delve this deeply into her dating life, but she seems like one of those open-book type people.
She waves me off, swaying a little with the motion. “It’s nothing, really. Gabriel and I were having some trouble a few weeks ago, and Nick offered me some advice. So, yeah, I guess we’re friendly.”
I practically snort at that, because what I saw back at the table was more than friendly. But whatevs. Not my call to make.
There’s a bit of an awkward silence, so I glance around, vibing with the music, when I spot someone across the room. That guy, Ash, from the beach party last night–the one who said he saw Talia . Noah pulled me away before I could get the details of what he saw.
I glance at the table where Noah is still sitting. He’s deep in conversation with his bros, and not even paying attention to me.
I set my drink down on the bar in front of Wyn. “Watch my drink,” I say. “I’ll be right back.”
Wyn looks confused. “Where are you going?”
But I don’t answer, because I’m already plunging into the crowd, headed straight for the dance floor. I make a beeline for Ash, who is dancing with a pretty girl wearing little more than a T-shirt.
I’m such a lightweight that the one Mai Tai I had is already snaking through my veins, making me feel relaxed and a little dizzy. I walk straight up to Ash, but he’s so into the music and already buzzed himself, that he doesn’t even notice me.
I reach out and grab his arm, which immediately snags his attention. But when he sees me, standing in front of him, he reels back, like he’s just been jolted by a jump scare.
“Shit, where the fuck did you come from?” His nervous gaze darts around the immediate area. “Where’s your boyfriend? Does he know you’ve shed your leash?”
I glare at him, but I don’t respond to his little jab, because I need his help, so I step forward and place my hand on his rock-solid chest. “He’s not really my boyfriend,” I say. “He’s just really bad at taking ‘no’ for an answer.”
Ash smirks, and places his hand on mine, like he’s going to pull it off of his chest, but he doesn’t–not immediately, anyway. His warm hand folds around mine, and I can tell he’s into me. But I can also tell he’s stiff and uncomfortable—like he’s afraid Noah will pop up at any moment .
“I just wanted to ask you about my friend,” I say. “We didn’t get to finish our conversation from last night.”
His hand moves to stroke the underside of my chin. Then he tilts my chin up while bending to speak directly in my ear, so he can be heard over
the music. “You’re a brave one. And while I love a challenge, I’m not sure you’re worth the trouble. Noah isn’t a guy who likes to share.”
When he pulls back to look at me, I just blink at him, doing my best to look innocent and vulnerable. Guys love that. “I just want to talk about my friend. Two minutes, and then I swear, I’ll leave you alone.”
I’m practically pouting at his point, disgusting even myself, but I can tell by the way he’s looking at me that he’s falling for it, hook, line, and sinker.
He glances around again, and deeming it safe, takes my hand and guides me to the edge of the room, to a dark corner that’s slightly more quiet. The music is still loud, but not nearly as deafening here.
Ash presses me against the wall, his large body shielding me from view. If anyone were to walk by, they’d only see the back of him. He dips his head and whispers in my ear. “You smell sweet, like vanilla.”
It’s my lotion, but I don’t say anything. Guys like a bit of mystery, and it’s better if he thinks it’s the natural smell of my skin. Guys are idiots, and honestly, all they really want is a fantasy. They don’t want a living, breathing woman who eats nachos, and sometimes smells like sweat.
“Thanks,” I say softly, playing this guy like a fiddle. “So, um, about my friend. When you saw her at the beach, what exactly did you see?”
“She was with a guy,” he says.
Okay, good. He’s the second person to say that, so I feel like I’m on to something. “Do you know who? What’s his name?”
Ash’s head is still close to mine, and his gaze is searching my face— like he’s taking in every detail, and trying to decide if he should kiss me or not. “I don’t know. It was dark,” he says. “But he was tall, dark hair, broad.” I push out a breath. That doesn’t fucking help at all. Half the guys at
ExU are tall, dark, and broad. “That’s not a very useful description.”
“I was drunk,” he offers. “So even if he was someone from ExU, I wouldn’t be able to tell you.” He pauses. “But I do remember he had a particular kind of knife.”
I stiffen. “What? A knife?”
“Yeah, a pocket knife. The kind that collapses. Really expensive.”
I swallow, hoping he’s mistaken. I’m sure a lot of people have pocket knives, but the fact that Talia was last seen with a guy that no one can identify, and now it appears he had a knife. My blood runs cold. “How do you know he had a knife?”
“Because he tossed it to me when I asked around for something to open a new bundle of wood for the fire,” he says.
“But you didn’t see his face?” I ask, doubting this whole fucking thing now. How can you borrow someone’s knife and not see their face?
“I wasn’t really paying that close attention, to be honest.”
Guys are usually fucking oblivious, so I guess I can believe that. “What did the knife look like?”
I’m not above walking around, asking guys if I can borrow their pocket knives.
“It was old, silver, and it had an engraving. I think it was the initials W and H, but I don’t know. It was that old fucked up scroll lettering.”
Okay, well, that’s something, I guess. WH. How many people could be walking around with those initials?
“Well,” I say with a smile. “I guess you’re not completely useless, after all.”
His gaze drops from my face and falls to my chest. I’ve always had large breasts, and even a T-shirt can hide them. I suck in a breath, which causes my chest to expand, and my breasts to brush against his chest. His smile deepens, and his head dips again. This time I’m positive he’s going to kiss me, and a small part of me wants him to. He’s hot as fuck, and he’s not Noah Sabastian , so why not?
I tip my chin up and allow my eyelids to flutter closed, anticipating the feeling of his lips on mine. But seconds later, I hear a growl, and Noah’s deep, angry voice. “The fuck?”
I open my eyes to see Ash turn around to face Noah.
“I thought I made myself clear last night,” Noah says. “Guess not.” And then he throws a punch so quickly, it takes Ash by surprise, and he reels back. Noah catches him square in the jaw, and it’s a second before Ash recovers.
Holding his jaw, Ash straightens, and when he comes up for air, he’s laughing. “She came to me, bro. And you know what, I’m not all that surprised. Maybe she’s just not satisfied with that royally small dick.”
If the insult has any impact on Noah, he doesn’t show it. He smirks a little, as though daring Ash to return fire, and throw a punch of his own. Shockingly, he doesn’t. Not immediately, anyway. He just holds his jaw, his gaze darting between Noah and me like he’s trying to decide if he should engage .
After a few seconds, he shakes his head. “Nah, dude. I’m not looking for trouble.”
As Ash turns on his heel and pushes his way through the crowd that has gathered, the weight of disappointment washes over me. Any additional information I would have gotten from him is now completely fucked. I turn around to face Noah, anger lacing my tone—I can’t help it. He’s fucked this up for the second time, and before I know it, I’m launching myself at him.
I slam my fist into his hard chest, like a wild-fucking animal, but he manages to grab my wrist and hold my arm up, preventing a second blow. Then, in one smooth motion, he flings me over his shoulder and carries me through the club to the front entrance. I’m not light, but he doesn’t even seem to notice my weight. He just smoothly walks to the front door and says something to the valet in a low tone.
While we wait for his car to be brought around, I thrash around, his shoulder blade digging into my stomach.
“Put me down,” I demand, thrashing, kicking, beating his lower back… anything to get him to release me. Nothing. No response from him. And no one around us is responding either, despite my pleas for help.
There’s something wrong with this fucking town. Not only will no one help me, they won’t even look in my direction. It’s like I don’t even exist. It’s almost as though…if Noah doesn’t want me to exist, then I don’t. Everyone just seems to go along with whatever the Sacred Sons say. I mean, fuck morality, right? Fuck humanity. As long as they keep writing those checks, I guess….
Noah’s car screeches to a halt in front of us, and the valet opens the car door. Without waiting, Noah bends slightly to open the passenger-side door, and unceremoniously dumps me into the seat, then slams the door. Then he walks around to the driver’s seat, slides inside, and starts the engine, peeling out of the parking lot with a loud screech.
He’s angry. I can see it etched on his beautiful face. His jaw is set, and his movements are stiff like he’s trying to keep the rage contained.
For a second, neither of us speaks, but I can’t stand the silence, so I ask the obvious question. “Where are you taking me?”
He doesn’t say anything, and there’s just something about his cold silence that trickles down my spine and fills me with fear...
WE PULL up to Rush House, and Noah pulls into the driveway, then comes around and opens the passenger-side door. I don’t move. I just glare up at him, trying to calculate my next move. But I take a second too long because he just reaches down and hauls me out of the car.
“Ow!” I say, trying to yank my arm out of his grip. No dice. His hand is like an iron band, and there’s no way I’m strong enough to break his hold. “Let me go, Noah.”
“So you can run? I don’t think so.”
He moves to throw me over his shoulder again, but I lift my hands and take a step back. “I won’t run,” I say.
I don’t know what happened back at the club, but something about what happened with Ash triggered him, and I don’t know Noah well enough to guess why he brought me here.
Thankfully, he stands down a bit, and instead of tossing me over his shoulder again like Tarzan, he threads his fingers through mine and tugs me toward the back door. He unlocks the door with his thumbprint, then leads me through the house, up the back staircase, and down a long dark hallway.
Our footsteps echo in the silence, and at the end of the hallway, Noah pushes a set of double doors open and shoves me inside. I stumble in and glance around. There’s a light on in the corner of the room and it looks… like a bedroom. It’s huge, though. The size of my entire one-bedroom apartment growing up.
There’s a huge mahogany four-poster bed on the far end of the room, and the entire space is lined with built-in bookshelves, filled to the brim with leather-bound tomes that look like they should be in a museum somewhere, and not in some college guy’s bedroom.
I’m still taking everything in—the armchair, the guitar, the piles of laundry—when Noah closes the door and locks it. The distinct scrape of metal on wood is like a declaration: You’re trapped here.
I swallow and face him. “Why did you bring me here?”
He fucks with something on a bookshelf briefly, before turning back to face me, his face pulled into a scowl. “I told you not to speak to Ash, and what did you do?”
“I had to ask him something. About Talia , ” I say.
“You embarrassed me,” he says slowly, and damn, but the darkness in his voice is unsettling. “In front of everyone, and I can’t allow that.”
My heart is racing, and my palms suddenly feel sweaty. “I’m… sorry…?”
He continues to advance, and with every step he takes, I take one as well—just backward, retreating until my calves slam against the frame of his massive bed.
“You have nowhere to run, Harlow . It’s just you and me now, and I think it’s time I show you who is in control. ”
He’s close now, his large, muscular body at arm's length, and heat rushes through my veins. I hate this guy, but I can’t deny the way he sets my blood on fire. Fuck him, though. Honestly.
I laugh. It’s not the smartest thing to do, but I can’t help it. Anxiety snakes through me, and my brain isn’t working properly. “You might control most of the people in this town,” I say. “But you’ll never control me, Noah.” I push my head forward, so my face is dangerously close to his. “Never.”
He grabs my jaw with one large hand. For a second, I see hate in his eyes. Pure, undiluted hate, and I suck in a breath, truly afraid now.
He dips his head and whispers in my ear. “You think you’re resistance is so fucking cute.” His warm breath washes over my cheek, and a shudder of awareness rolls down my spine. “But I know you want this, Harlow . I know you want to be dominated.”
I swallow. “You don’t know anything about me.”
He nips at my ear, and the little flash of pain makes my core twitch. “I’m the only one who knows you, Harlow . The darkness you have inside you…I recognize it. I want to touch it.”
His grip tightens and with his free hand, he touches my bottom lip with his thumb, brushing lightly. “Now for your penance for this evening’s offenses,” he says. “You’re going to suck me off with this pretty little mouth of yours.”
I smile at him. “Sure, put your dick in my mouth. I dare you.”
That earns me a half smile, and frustration bubbles up inside me. I’ve amused him, which wasn’t my goal.
“Maybe I should just fuck you, then.” His voice is low and dark. “Remind you who you belong to. ”
Is this his fucked up way of giving me a choice–suck him off, or let him fuck me? Well, too bad. I’m not giving in so easily.
“Don’t touch me,” I say through gritted teeth.
The hand slides down until he’s holding me just below the jaw. He looks me dead in the eye, and all I can see in his fathomless brown eyes is hate and anger. “I know you want my cock inside you,” he says harshly. “I can see it in your eyes, in the way your body responds to me. You can’t hide those things, Harlow . You can’t pretend with me.”
I hate that he can read me so well. My body does respond to him–it has since first meeting him on that fucking beach. But I’m still not ready to admit it. I don’t know if I’ll ever be. Because to admit it is to admit to being like every other girl on this damn campus. And I don’t know why, but the thought of being a basic bitch in his eyes terrifies me more than his hand gripping my face.
“You don’t know shit about shit,” I growl.
One hand still holding my jaw, he uses the other to hike my long skirt up, up, up, until it’s up around my hips. Then his fingers are inside my panties, past the curls that shield my entrance, to my damp folds.
He leans in and brushes his lips against mine. “See?” he says. “You’re soaking wet for me. All ready to take my cock like a good girl.”
My eyes flutter closed, and my head falls back, completely engulfed by the sensations rushing through my body. A moan bubbles up in my throat, but I refuse to let it escape. I can’t give him the satisfaction of knowing just how much he affects me.
I straighten and try to collect myself. “I know this might surprise you…” I’m trying so hard to keep my voice steady, but despite my best efforts, it quivers a little. Ho pefully, he doesn’t notice. “But not every girl on campus wants you.”
He laughs–a dark chuckle that trickles down my spine. “Maybe that’s true, but we both know that isn’t you.”
I grab the hand that’s clamped tight around my jaw, and shove his chest with my other hand, trying—and failing—to get him off me. “So, what, you’re just going to force me, is that it?”
One side of his mouth curls up, but I hesitate to call it a smile. His gaze rakes over my face like he’s studying me—every detail of my face. “I’ve never had to force anyone. I can have any fucking chick on this campus in under a minute. One text. One phone call. That’s all it takes.”
“So you’re bragging now?” What a fucking asshole.
“It’s not a brag,” he says evenly. “It’s a fucking fact.”
“Whatever, dude, you’re so full of yourself,” I spit back at him. Never in my life have I encountered someone so into himself. Literally never, and I’ve had some shitty boyfriend experiences, so that’s saying something.
“And by the time I’m done with you, Harlow , you’ll be begging to have my cock inside you.”
With a low, guttural growl, he shoves me, and I fall backward onto the mattress. With a glare at me, he pulls his phone from his back pocket and types out a quick text. When he’s done, he tosses the phone aside and refocuses his attention on me.
“Who did you just text?” I ask, really just trying to distract him from touching me again–because, honestly, I’m only human, and I don’t know how much more I can take before I give in completely.
He takes a step forward, and on instinct, I scootch back on the huge bed. It’s soft, filled with pillows, and smells like him. It feels like I’ve been thrown into the lion’s den–and this lion is hungry, sizing me up like a fucking lamb chop.
I glance around the room and size it up quickly. The door is on the far side of the room—I’d have to make it past him first before reaching it. But to the right is a bathroom, and I quickly roll off the bed. He reaches for me, but I’m already at the bathroom door, slamming it shut, and locking it behind me.
My head falls back against the door as I drag in a long breath. Noah bags on the door, and the thick wood vibrates against my back.
“Harlow ,” he says slowly. “You can’t hide forever.”
There is a window, but it’s tiny, and quite frankly, my thick thighs aren’t going to make it past the frame. I pull my phone out to call someone—but I quickly realize I don’t have anyone’s number, except for Talia and Skye. I type out a quick text to Skye, asking her to come rescue me from Rush House—no details, just asking her to come grab me. It’s a big ask for someone I’ve met once.
I stare down at my phone, waiting for a response from her, when I suddenly hear voices on the other side of the door—Noah’s deep baritone, and another more lilting voice.
Has Skye already gotten here? No, it’s been less than three minutes. I pause and glance at my phone again. Still no response. But maybe she was somewhere close and decided to swing by, instead of replying to me.
I hear a giggle, and something inside me snaps a little. Bolstered by the fact that I’m not alone now, I wrench the door open, and literally gasp.
There’s a blond girl, on her knees, in the middle of the room…and she has her pretty lips wrapped around Noah’s cock.
I’M FROZEN in place as my brain tries to comprehend what’s happening. My gaze is completely focused on the girl. I recognize her from the Preference Ceremony. No idea what her name is, but it doesn’t even matter. She’s on her knees, her head bobbing as she takes Noah’s cock deep into her throat. A groan draws my gaze upward to Noah’s face. His hand is resting on top of her head, setting the pace, guiding her. But his eyes are locked on me. I can’t help it, I lick my lips, and his eyes follow the motion, and I swear I see his nostrils flare. His cock is huge—thick and girthy—and my channel twitches. That could have been me, on my knees, tasting him,
drinking him in.
The girl moans, and he tightens his grip on her hair as if reminding her to be quiet. She reaches up and uses her hand to help stroke him, and his head falls back as he bucks his hips, growling.
I should take this opportunity to leave. They’re in the way of the door, but he’s pretty distracted right now, and I’d be dumb not to take advantage of that.
Forcing myself to move, I step forward. As I get closer, the smell of sex wraps around me, and I swallow. I could shove this chick aside and finish him, feeling him deep in my throat, tasting his come on my tongue.
Instead, I force myself past them, on my way to the door—but I don’t make it. His hand darts out and catches me. He pulls me against his chest roughly and slams his lips into mine. He kisses me like a man starved, his tongue pushing into my mouth, stealing my breath.
My head swims as he devours me like a fucking lunatic. There’s a darkness in him that reaches out and pulls me in. I shouldn’t want this. I shouldn’t kiss him back while he’s getting sucked off by another girl—but I am. I can’t help myself. I can’t pull myself away.
He reaches up and cups the back of my head, holding me in place, his deep moan filling my mouth. His hips move against the chick’s mouth as he kisses me, pulling back only to nip at my bottom lip, before invading my mouth again.
A little moan escapes my mouth, and I twist my hips, because, at this point, my panties are drenched. My clit is pulsing with need, and I’m already desperate for release.
He threads his fingers through my hair, and he stills, releasing a deep groan as his hips move and he comes. After a few seconds, he pulls back slightly. “Next time, it’s you, Little Rabbit.”
I blink and see movement in my periphery as the chick gets up off her knees. I feel like I’m in a daze, and I stagger back before finding my balance. The breath is sawing from my lungs, and I suddenly feel like I can’t breathe.
I need to get out of here. Now.
Swallowing, I bolt for the door and rush down the stairs. The house is still empty, and dark, and I fly out the door, and down the front steps. I’m halfway down the block, in the dark—after promising myself I’d never walk alone at night again—when a car pulls up beside me and stops.
My heart leaps into my throat, and I pull my phone out from my jacket pocket, ready to call 911. If I’ve learned anything in the last few days, it’s that this town is fucked up. The entire place, I’m guessing, but especially this campus. And this time, I’m not fucking around. If anyone so much as looks at me weird, my ass is calling the cops.
“Harlow !” It’s a female voice, and I turn my head to see Skye. She’s driving a little blue Toyota, the passenger side window open as she grabs a
fast food bag off the passenger seat and tosses it in the back. “You okay? You said you needed a ride.”
“Oh, thank God,” I breathe, reaching for the passenger side door. “You actually came!”
“A sister in trouble? Of course, I did. We have to look out for each other,” she says, glancing between me and the road as she pulls off. “You good?” she asks again, this time with a little more concern in her voice. She glances at me again quickly. She must see the tears in my eyes, ready to fall.
I shake my head. “Yeah, yeah. I just uh….I had an encounter with Noah, and I don’t know how to feel about it.”
She doesn’t even hesitate to ask, “What happened?”
I tilt my head back against the headrest. I don’t even know if I should tell her, because, honestly, I don’t even know Skye. And she’s one of those really warm people–someone you’ve just met, but still makes you feel like you’ve known them forever. It’s a superpower that I wish I had. Instead, I just end up being painfully awkward in social situations.
But fuck it. Talia is God knows where, and I don’t really have anyone else to talk to. Besides, Skye knows how this place works. Maybe she can give me some guidance when it comes to Noah and his crew of assholes.
I recount the evening, telling Skye about what happened at the club, then after, when I was tossed into Noah’s car, and dragged up to his room
—where he eventually called another chick and had her suck him off in front of me.
“Wow, that’s totally fucked,” she says.
We’ve pulled up in front of my residence hall, but we’re just sitting in the car, talking. “He’s so fucking depraved.” I shake my head. “Why do people follow him like a fucking god?”
“I mean, his family—”
I don’t even let her finish that sentence, “Yeah, yeah, his family is rich, and owns this whole town, yadda, yadda. So he just gets to do whatever the hell he wants? No questions asked?”
Skye blows out a breath and leans back. “Yeah, pretty much. I mean, things weren’t as bleak last year, but something happened with Noah’s half-brother, and I think it really fucked with the Sacred Sons. They were all pretty close. But it especially fucked with Noah, as I’m sure you can imagine. Things got really intense after that.”
Noah has a half-brother? He’s never mentioned any siblings—though, to be fair, we haven’t really talked about our personal lives. Still, if whatever happened fucked Noah up so much, then I would have thought it would have come up at some point.
“I didn’t even know he had a brother,” I say .
“Yeah, he’s older by a couple of years, and they have different dads,” she offers.
I blink, my mind whirring with the possibilities of what could have affected Noah so drastically. “What happened? Did the brother die or something?”
Skye looks away and shrugs one shoulder. “I don’t really know. There’s a rumor that he was accused of something he didn’t do, and it really messed up the family.”
I can tell she knows more than what she’s telling me, but I don’t push her. I’d rather hear it from Noah, anyway, because who knows what fantastical story the rumor mill has spun.
I push out a breath, my mind straying to that moment when I walked out of the bathroom to see some random chick sucking Noah’s cock. “There’s something sick about Noah Sabastian ,” I say. “His need for control is pathological.”
“Can you really blame him?” Skye asks. “His family–” she stops herself like she’s rethinking her words, then she continues, “You already know the power they have around here. Growing up like that must have been a trip. Getting everything you want, whenever you want, no questions asked.”
“Yeah, well, he can’t have me,” I say. “I’m not for fucking sale.”
Skye laughs. “Everyone has a price, Harlow . Even you, I’m betting. No shame in that.”
I scoff at her. “Whose side are you on?”
She smiles at me, her blue eyes bright in the darkness. “I’m on your side, of course. Noah and his friends are fucking assholes, and they deserve a healthy dose of Karma. But I’m also a realist, and I’ve seen people kowtow them over the years. People who swore they’d hold the Burning Crown accountable.” She shrugs. “So, I don’t know, I guess I’m jaded.”
“I don’t want to hold them accountable. I just want out of their sphere. It feels like I’m stuck in a riptide. No matter how hard I swim against the current, I’m sucked right back in.”
“Yeah, they have that effect on people.”
I glance down at my hands. “So what do I do?”
Skye presses her lips together and shakes her head. “Yeah, I don’t know.
Noah Sabastian is a force of nature.” I swallow. “Yeah.”
She must feel bad for me because her smile doesn’t quite reach her eyes. “Go upstairs, get some sleep, and we can figure something out tomorrow. You don’t have to have all the answers tonight.”
I return her smile, but I’m suddenly so tired. Maybe it’s the alcohol finally hitting me. “Yeah, you’re right. Thank you for dropping whatever it was you were doing to come get me.”
“No worries,” she says. “I was out grabbing food anyway.”
We say our goodbyes, and I quickly make my way inside, opting to take the stairs, instead of waiting for the elevator. I stop by Talia 's room on the way to my room, which has been my routine lately.
Halfway down the hall, I can see Talia 's door open, and her roommate standing outside in the hallway, arms crossed over her chest, as she talks to campus security.
My heart crawls up into my throat as I approach. “What’s going on?” I just pray, that whatever it is, it doesn’t involve Talia .

You know where the word cocaine comes from? Its Quechua. Just the name of the damn plant. I think it was 1971, maybe 72. I dunno-
Could you start at the beginning?
Huh? Yeah, sure. Course. Uhh. Lets see…
Take your time.
Woof. Lets see…I started in uhhh, 72. Some tiny little bottle-rocket firm sweatin for talent, head broker was this big red fatass named Ron Spade, hell of a guy, but the place got bought out by Bear Stearns in 73 when the shit really hit the fan. It was a rough time to be on a trade floor. IRS just put out the whole hypnoeconomics thing. Half the big firms were runnin’ around with their hair on fire, the other half felt invincible. Every day was a party. Party party party.
Was that your first interaction with hypnostimulants?
I guess. Its funny. First guy to give me quori was a cop.
You mean an agent of the FDA?
No no, like an old fashioned NYPD beat cop. Met him in the bathroom at Pink during a bender. Moron was so faded he thought I was his informant. Just gave me a phial.
And you tried it?
Not right away no. To be honest I thought it was kinda faggy. Sorry. Its just what I thought at the time. The shit was sparkly, you know? What kinda drug comes in phials? Shoulda known something was up.
Would you say hypnostimulants were popular at the time?
At the time? Depends what you mean by popular. People didn’t know about that shit yet. You heard stories, dudes shooting up in the woods upstate, gettin found with their eyeballs exploded. It was early days, ya know? But like, that didn’t happen. That was urban legends. You know who was actually fucking around with the early stuff? Accountants.
Accountants?
Yeah, you know, the bookkeepers. See,  I’m really just a plumber. I move money from one pipe to another pipe. But instead of wrenches and sprockets or whatever, I use charm. Its pretty easy if you ask me. Imagine if you could just tell water where it already wanted to go. You’re water’s best pal. Nah. It was those nerds in the basement, the spreadsheet guys that figured out how to expense shit so the IRS couldn’t get ya. Those were the fuckers who really dove in.
What got you using regularly?
Same shit as everyone else. Makes the job easier.
How so?
You can feel the money in their pocket. Its like, I dunno how to describe it. Its likeIts like, a turd sitting in a hammock. You can feel how the money bends everything around it. You can see it, smell it. You can hear it over the phone. You can’t ignore it. Shit is nuts. You take enough, and its like you can’t see anything else. Or. No. Its like…You see that you don’t need to see anything else. Money is everything. You’re money. I’m money. Its all just rivers of money flowing through everything.
By 1973 you were a regular user yes?
Regular makes it sound normal. But yeah I know what you mean. “Regular user.”  76 was the sweet spot. The drugs were good, but the regulators hadn’t stepped up yet. You and some buddies could set up in a club bathroom with nothing but a blindfold and a pile. You ever seen a stock floor with a headfull of that fancy government shit?
Would you like to discuss the raid?
No. Not really.
I understand you were the only one in a sub-emmanation state when Hypnoregulators arrived on the scene.
I don't want to talk about it.
Very well then, my associate will be happy to take you to prison as per the agreement you signed.
Alright alright, Christ.
Please. In your own words.
From what I understand, you pulled spade outta bed. Got a confession and everything that morning. 9 fuckin AM, and 200 IRS agents come busting in the doors. I was in the bathroom seeing shit. It's marble lined, lots gold filigree. All that jazz. Special made. Listen. I'm serious about the stock floor shit. Whatever you guys have, it's different than what we had back then. I mean, the shit was still cut with cocaine. A stock floor wasn't a stock floor, it was like…
The raid, please.
I'm getting to it! You gotta know this shit okay? I need you to understand what you goons fuckin wrecked. It was perfect okay? A garden of Eden . Ripe fruit. Everything just works. You don't have to worry about shit. You're a hunter, a killer, the great fuckin god pan, and the floor is your field of delights. It's like being a beating heart, like being struck by lightning. You can feel the sun in your pocket, and how it's all flowing through everything. And then you fucks showed up.
It was cold. I felt it first. Like I just threw the biggest party, and mom and dad were coming home early. But you know what I saw? You know those Chinese dragon dancers? Or, lions, or whatever they are? You know how there's two guys in the costume? I saw a dragon, a beast with eyes like the sun, teeth dripping gold, a bunch of IRS suits holding its pelt on their shoulders like you carry your baby home.
Your statement alluded to some additional information.
Yeah…there was something else… I dunno how to describe it. The fuckin…eyes, like the sun. Thats how you feel when you're on this shit. You're seein’ gold. I looked into the dragons eyes, and it's like, it's like I saw me. Like I was the dragon, and I was looking at me. Or…no. I was the sun. I was looking at myself. It was like, in that moment I knew something. I learned something.
What exactly is that?
I dunno. It doesn't fit into words. But like. You aren't regulating shit.
I'm sorry?
Yeah. All this shit. The dragon. The field. The dancers. It's all just the sun.

Tumblr media
ʚ・max verstappen
for weeks, max had been insistent, borderline aggressive, in denying any and all accusations that he and you were together.
"you guys are basically dating," lando said, arms crossed.
max scoffed. "we are not together."
"really?"
"yes," max snapped. "i do not like them that way!"
silence.
lando’s smirk was immediate. "dude. you’re blushing."
max’s jaw clenched. "no, i’m not."
"yeah, you so are."
"it’s just warm in here."
"we’re outside."
max stormed off, fuming, but later that night, he hesitated before texting you:
max: dinner tomorrow? just us?
you: yeah, of course.
it was fine. totally normal.
until you were at dinner, mid-conversation, and max followed your gaze—straight to lando, charles, and liam, all staring, lando already pulling out his phone.
a notification popped up immediately.
lando norris tagged you in a story.
max groaned before he even opened it.
"‘we’re not dating’ – max verstappen, 24 hours ago."
you bit your lip, trying not to laugh. max shot you a glare.
"this is your fault."
"my fault?"
"you said yes to dinner!"
"you asked me!"
max exhaled sharply, shaking his head. then, after a pause, he stole a fry off your plate like it was second nature.
like he hadn’t just unknowingly confirmed to himself, and everyone else, that yeah, maybe you were dating after all.
ʚ・lewis hamilton
it wasn’t supposed to be this complicated.
a simple group trip, a well-planned itinerary, and a definite understanding that you and lewis were just friends—despite what everyone seemed to think.
but then, as everyone was checking into the hotel, things took an unexpected turn.
"alright," george said, skimming the room assignments. "charles, max and liam, me and kimi…"
he paused, eyes narrowing slightly as he read the last booking.
"and…" he cleared his throat, "lewis and y/n?"
a beat of silence.
then, simultaneously:
"what?" you and lewis both said.
lando’s grin was immediate. "oh, that’s interesting."
max raised an eyebrow. "you guys booked a single room?"
lewis frowned, already pulling out his phone to check the reservation. "i didn’t book it—"
"wait," you interrupted, looking at him. "i thought you booked it?"
lewis looked at you. "i thought you booked it."
you both stared at each other for a second, realization slowly dawning.
"oh my god," liam muttered, "you two are ridiculous."
lando was practically buzzing at this point. "so just to clarify," he said, barely containing his laughter, "you guys accidentally booked one room… together?"
george exhaled dramatically. "this is a logistical nightmare."
kimi, on the other hand, looked entirely amused. "or it’s fate."
you groaned, rubbing your temples. "we’ll just get another room—"
the front desk staff chose that moment to appear. "ah, mr. hamilton, ms. y/n, i assume you’re checking into the honeymoon suite?"
silence.
max choked.
lando wheeled away in laughter.
lewis ran a hand over his face, exhaling sharply. "brilliant."
you wanted to die.
"we are not together," you tried to explain, but no one was listening.
the damage was done.
and the worst part? the hotel was fully booked.
you and lewis exchanged glances, his lips twitching like he was already preparing to tease you about this later.
"guess we’re sharing," he murmured, shaking his head.
you sighed, dragging a hand down your face.
"of course we are."
ʚ・george russell
you and george had worked very hard to convince everyone that you weren’t dating.
the teasing from the grid? unbearable. the constant speculation online? exhausting. the smug looks from lewis every time you were together? infuriating.
so, you both stuck to the same script: we’re just friends. we spend a lot of time together, but we’re just friends.
it had worked.
until his parents completely ruined it.
you were visiting george’s family for a quiet weekend—just a casual trip, nothing suspicious at all. at least, that’s what you thought.
it was all going fine—dinner, stories, light conversation—until his mum suddenly sighed in relief, setting down her wine glass with a content smile.
"oh, finally!"
you blinked. "finally?"
george frowned. "finally what?"
his mum waved a hand between the two of you. "you two finally told everyone! we’ve been waiting for ages!"
silence.
you turned to george. george turned to you.
"told everyone what?" he asked, very, very slowly.
his dad chuckled. "that you’re dating, of course."
george nearly choked on his drink. "we’re not dating!"
his mum gave him a knowing look. "oh, come on, george. you told us months ago!"
your stomach dropped.
george froze. "i—what?"
"you called your father and me and said, and i quote—" she cleared her throat, lowering her voice to mimic his, "'mum, dad, i think i’m in love with y/n, and i don’t know what to do about it.'"
you gasped. george gasped.
his dad nodded. "you definitely said that."
lewis, who had been listening via facetime with his front-row seat to the chaos, wheezed.
"george?" you asked, still processing. "is there something you’d like to share with the class?"
george, fully malfunctioning, pushed his chair back abruptly. "i—uh—excuse me for a moment."
and with that, he got up and walked out of his own house.
you watched him leave, blinking in disbelief.
his mum sighed. "oh dear, i hope we didn’t fluster him too much."
lewis, still on facetime, cackled. "flustered? mate just ran away."
you were still stunned, heart racing.
because as shocking as that revelation was, the part that stuck with you the most was that george never denied it.
ʚ・carlos sainz
the plan had been simple—just a casual dinner with friends, nothing that would feed into the ridiculous rumors that you and carlos were anything more than that.
you had spent months dodging questions, brushing off teasing comments, and maintaining the perfectly crafted narrative: we’re just friends.
and it had been working.
until charles completely ruined it.
you didn’t even notice when he took the picture—probably because you were too busy laughing at something carlos had said, leaning into him like it was second nature, his hand resting lightly on your knee under the table.
it was a good picture. a great picture, actually.
unfortunately, it was also a terrible picture because charles, in his infinite wisdom, posted it with zero context and tagged you both.
and then? the comment section exploded.
f1updates: nah this is so soft??? sainzstan99: tell me why they look more coupley than actual couples 😭 carlosfangirl: so we’re all just accepting that they’ve been dating this whole time, right? charles_leclerc: 😊👍🏼 you saw the post at the exact same time carlos did.
your stomach dropped. "oh. my. god."
carlos ran a hand down his face. "you have got to be kidding me."
you immediately went to untag yourself, only to realize that it was too late—the internet had already run with it, edits were being made, tiktoks were going viral, and worst of all, carlos’s own family members were commenting.
reyes.sainz: 🤔 carlossainz55: …interesting. you turned to carlos in horror. "your dad just commented."
carlos sighed deeply. "of course he did."
you both sat there, staring at the screen, knowing there was zero chance of talking your way out of this one.
then, finally, carlos turned to you, a slow smirk creeping onto his face. "well," he said, amusement lacing his voice, "i guess there are worse people to be fake dating."
you scoffed. "oh, shut up."
carlos chuckled, casually throwing an arm around the back of your chair. "should we at least give them something to talk about?"
and the worst part?
you didn’t exactly hate the idea.
ʚ・charles leclerc
you and charles had perfected the art of denial.
the teasing from friends? ignored. the way charles always sat next to you, no matter how many other seats were available? totally normal. the lingering stares, the soft smiles, the fact that he always found an excuse to touch you? just friendly behavior.
it was fine. everything was under control.
until it wasn’t.
it happened in the ferrari garage, where you were waiting for charles after a media session. he walked in, still slightly damp from the post-session shower, running a towel through his hair before spotting you.
his face lit up instantly. "hey," he greeted, walking over. without hesitation, he reached for your hand—like it was second nature, like it was something he did all the time—and laced his fingers through yours as he leaned against the counter next to you.
and the problem wasn’t that he grabbed your hand.
the problem was that he didn’t let go.
neither did you.
it wasn’t intentional. it wasn’t anything, really. just a comfortable, absentminded habit, his thumb gently brushing against your skin, your fingers loosely intertwined as you talked about his session.
at least, until lewis walked in.
lewis, who stopped dead in his tracks, staring at your joined hands like he had just caught you both committing an actual crime.
you immediately froze. charles did too.
then, realization hit.
lewis tilted his head, looking far too amused. "am i interrupting something?"
you and charles immediately pulled away, but it was too late—the damage was done.
lewis’s smirk was instant. "ohhh, so this is what’s been going on?"
"it was nothing," you tried.
lewis crossed his arms. "that’s funny, because it looked like something."
charles, traitor, just ran a hand through his hair, biting back a smile.
lewis chuckled, shaking his head. "mate, i knew ferrari was full of surprises, but i didn’t think this was one of them."
you groaned, covering your face. "lewis."
he held up his hands, stepping back. "don’t worry, i won’t say anything."
you peeked through your fingers. "really?"
lewis grinned. "no. of course not. i’m telling everyone."
and with that, he disappeared.
you sighed, turning to charles, who looked way too entertained. "this is your fault."
he raised an eyebrow. "my fault?"
"you were the one holding my hand!"
charles smirked. "and you didn’t let go."
you opened your mouth to argue, then closed it.
charles leaned in slightly, green eyes flickering down to your lips for just a second before murmuring, "maybe we should give them something real to talk about."
and that was when you realized, maybe getting caught wasn’t so bad after all.

When you approached the girls, who were seated around their usual Gryffindor table after class for a study session, you were immediately thrown by the unfamiliar face among them.
“Y/N! Come sit!”
Lily’s usual excitement shone through as she patted the empty spot on the bench next to her. You tentatively sat down, hoping someone would introduce you to the unfamiliar person, but she was occupying the group too much to even take notice of you.
“And they call the bin a trash can. I mean talk about being literal, right? I swear, if one more person over there called something by the exact descriptor of what it was, I would have thrown a book at their head.”
The table chuckled at her story.
“Marlene, this is Y/N,” Lily chimed in once the girl was done speaking.
Marlene turned her head toward you, scanning the visible portion of your body before landing on your face. “Hey.”
“Hey,” you responded, flushed and uncomfortable.
“So you’re a part of this group now?” Marlene asked completely unprompted.
You were slightly taken aback. “Yeah, yeah, I guess.”
“Well you either are or you aren’t.”
You stared at her for a moment, unsure of how to act. You had never met this person, and now she was snapping at you. “I am.”
Instead of responding to you, Marlene turned to Lily and said, “I thought this was a set thing? Since when do we let new people in?”
“God, Marls, it’s not like there’s a rule book,” Dorcas said.
“We literally all agreed, Dorcas,” Marlene bounced back.
“And we all agreed to include Y/N,” Lily smiled, refusing to include herself in the tension of the conversation.
“I didn’t,” Marlene responded, leaning on her elbows over the table in a confrontational stance.
“You weren’t here,” Dorcas fought.
Marlene took a deep breath before grabbing her books and standing up. “I’ll see you guys later,” she said, exiting the Great Hall in a huff.
You looked around in hopes that someone, anyone, would explain to you exactly what just happened. Instead, the table stayed quiet, refusing to acknowledge any of it as they continued studying.
You were too nervous to ask, so you pretended like nothing happened as you pulled out your books.
The next day, in between classes, you ran into Sirius in the library. You were met with two consecutive free blocks, which allowed you time to study. Sirius, on the other hand, just didn’t feel like attending charms.
“Aren’t you usually in class right now?” he said, catching you browsing through the shelves of books.
“Mhm.”
“You’re skipping?”
“I have it free today.”
Sirius furrowed his brow as he studied your face. It was unlike you to be so dry in your answers.
“You okay?” he asked.
“Yeah, I’m fine,” you said, engrossed in your own thoughts about Marlene and her reaction to you. You hadn’t realized how you were speaking to Sirius.
“Wanna sit for a second?” Sirius said, nonchalant as if your answer wouldn’t phase him.
“Sure,” you shrugged, approaching a nearby table.
Sirius sat across from you, studying your face as you tried to arrange your books. You peered up at him for a second, noticing his gaze but pretending you didn’t.
You thought about speaking, but weren’t capable of acting as though you weren’t bothered. If this person was part of the group, surely Sirius knew her already, so you decided to test it out.
“Marlene’s back, you know,” you said, as if you were completely in the know about everything regarding this mysterious new person.
“I know,” Sirius responded, pulling out a cigarette and lighting it.
You waited to see if he would elaborate any further, but he simply sat there, smoking his cigarette, staring at you.
“I didn’t even know she existed until this morning,” you said, “is there a reason no one told me? She was pretty cold to me.”
“That’s just Marlene,” Sirius brushed it off. He seemed as if he didn’t want to talk about it, but you couldn’t stop yourself from pushing it.
“Where has she been? I’ve never seen her before,” you asked.
Sirius sighed. “She spent a year at Ilvermorny.”
You were getting frustrated from how little information Sirius was giving you. He was strategically only answering your exact question, and only doing so in the most concise way possible.
“Why?” you pressed.
“Wanted a year away,” he said.
You sighed. “Sirius, you’re not giving me much.”
Sirius sat upward, leaning his elbows on the table and smiling in amusement at your interest. “Why so curious?”
“Just wondering what happened is all.”
Sirius saw the intrigue on your face and caved. “She took a year away from here after a bunch of drama happened. She was falling pretty hard for someone in our group and that person wasn’t really the monogamous type. They got in a huge fight, the whole group was there- it got really messy. She couldn’t take it anymore and decided to transfer schools. Guess she’s back now,” he finally explained.
“She wasn’t supposed to come back?”
“I have no idea. She only told Dorcas she was leaving. That’s the only reason we all knew.”
You nodded your head, flipping through the pages of a textbook as if this new information meant nothing of importance to you.
“So she left the group?”
Sirius sighed. “She left the school, Y/N. I don’t think anyone expected her to show back up.”
“So she never officially left the group.”
“Why would it matter?” Sirius smiled, “you jealous of her or somethin’?”
“What? No,” you said, “I just didn’t know this person existed and she was a real bitch to me earlier. Just wondering why.”
Sirius leaned an arm over the table and put his hand over yours. “You have nothin’ to worry about.”
The gesture was unlike Sirius, but you appreciated it nevertheless, and you smiled at him to show it.
────── ☾ ──────
“So you’re in this now, hm?”
You, startled by the sudden voice, whipped your head around to see Marlene McKinnon jogging to catch up to you in the hallway.
“Yeah,” you said as you continued on your route to class.
“What’s so special that you’ve got Sirius Black asking for you to join? You that good of a lay? The whore of Hufflepuff?”
You stopped on your tracks, wiping stray hairs out of your face as you huffed, “what?”
“I just mean, Sirius isn’t really one to pick and choose,” she said, sizing you up, “you must have gotten a glowing endorsement from someone. Let me guess, Remus?”
“I don’t know what you’re on about,” you brushed her off.
“Sirius Black wouldn’t invite a lower-year virgin into our little group,” Marlene said, “he just wouldn’t. So fess up.”
“This is insane,” you said, turning forward and beginning to walk again.
Marlene stepped in front of you, cutting you off as you nearly walked straight into her.
“I have class,” you stated dryly.
“You won’t last, you know,” Marlene started, “once the shiny new toy gets played with a few times, they’ll get bored and throw it away.”
“What’s your problem?” you said, surprising yourself with your confrontation. Being in this group was making you more confident in yourself.
“Don’t have one,” Marlene said, “just trying to get the scoop, since I was so rudely left out.”
“I have class,” you repeated.
“Oh, don’t let me stop you, but I should warn you that those boys don’t tend to stick with the good girls.”
“That’s too bad, since I’m already in the group,” you fought back, sick of her insults.
“For now,” Marlene said, smiling triumphantly and she stepped to the side.
You shot her a look before walking off.
────── ☾ ──────
When you’d confided in Dorcas how Marlene had been treating you, you didn’t anticipate that she would become quite so enraged, pulling you around and collecting all the members of your group until you were all together.
Fuming, Dorcas finally took a seat.
“What’s goin’ on?” James asked.
“A good ol’ Dorcas summoning,” Evan joked.
Dorcas sat in silence, nostrils flaring as she stared at Marlene.
“Well?” Marlene said, legs and arms crossed, “what is it?”
“Have you been threatening Y/N?”
Marlene immediately threw her hands up. “What am I, on trial? Fuck this.”
She began to stand, but Sirius stood as well. “Sit down,” he said, and she sighed, but did as she was told.
You were taken aback by how serious he was being. You hasn’t even told him what Marlene said to you.
“I didn’t threaten her,” Marlene said.
“So you didn’t tell her she’s a toy we’ll all get bored of playing with?”
The heads in the room all turned to Marlene. “Why does it matter? If she can’t handle being part of this, then she shouldn’t be a part of it.”
“You can’t just bully her out because you’re jealous.”
“Jealous of what, Dorcas? Hm? The fact she’s in the goodie two-shoes house?”
“Guys,” you tried to chime in, but it got lost in the tension.
“Oh, you know what,” Dorcas spat.
Dorcas and Marlene both stood, their voices growing louder and louder.
“No, I don’t. Tell me Dorcas, what the fuck do I have to be jealous of? Some young little girl who doesn’t even know how to fuck?”
“Guys,” you tried again.
“Why did you even come back, Marlene?” Dorcas retaliated.
“What, you didn’t miss me?”
“One day you’re my best friend, and the next you just leave a note like ‘oh! I can’t do it anymore and I’m transferring to America, bye!’ and I’m just supposed to jump up and down in joy when you suddenly decide we’re worthy enough to have you back?”
Marlene plopped back into her chair. “This is bullshit, I’m not doing this. Did you really call us all here just to yell at me in front of everyone?”
“No,” Dorcas said, “I called us all here to vote you out.”
The room stilled for a moment before Marlene scoffed. “To vote me out?”
“Guys!” you finally yelled, and it caught their attention, “can we please calm down?”
“You wanna vote me out? Are you kidding me?”
“No, I’m not kidding you.”
Marlene and Dorcas stared at each other, intensity in their eyes as Remus finally tried to calm the situation down.
“Marlene, things are a little different than when you were here before,” Remus said, “I think it’s only fair that you’re either okay with that, or you’re out.”
“Oh yeah?” Marlene replied, “and what’s different? Besides the Huffle-slut.”
You threw your hands in the air, exhausted of Marlene’s inexplicable hatred toward you.
“Well, for starters, are you over him?” Remus asked.
Marlene stared at Remus blankly, almost as if she was trying to think her way out of answering, but couldn’t.
You looked around the room, but everyone was too focused on Marlene’s answer to provide you with any explanation. You couldn’t help but feel left out of something.
“Yeah,” Marlene shrugged.
“I don’t believe you,” Dorcas said.
“Go cry about it,” Marlene spat.
“Stop, fuckin’ hell,” Remus sighed, “are you or are you not okay with Y/N being here?”
“Clearly I’m not, mom.”
Remus huffed and stood up. “Well, fuck this, I’m done trying,” he said, walking over to the ashtray and flicking embers off the butt of his cigarette.
The room stilled, everyone unsure of what to do.
“You guys shouldn’t have agreed on anyone new without me,” Marlene spoke up.
“Bloody hell, you were gone, you fucking idiot,” Dorcas said, “and we had no reason to think you were coming back. What were we gonna do, send an owl? Fuck off.”
“Can she even fuck?”
“Give it a rest, Marlene,” Sirius spoke up.
“No, I wanna know. Can you fuck?” she said, turning to you.
Your eyes widened. “I’m not dignifying that with an answer,” you stated.
“Prove it.”
“Prove what?”
“Prove that you can fuck like a big girl.”
You looked around the group in disbelief. “Excuse me?”
“Pick someone here, and prove it.”
“Marlene, come on, shut the fuck u-“
Sirius was cut off by Marlene pressing on, “pick someone and let’s get on with it, Hufflepuff.”
A feeling shot straight to your core at the thought of having to fuck someone in front of the entire group. You were too worked up.
You looked up at Remus, who had been your obsession and your safe person thus far, and waited to see his expression. Marlene noticed your attention turn to him.
“Remus it is,” she said, moving the coffee table away from the center of the room, “hurry up. Let’s go.”
“I don’t think-“ Remus started.
“You know what? Fuck you, Marlene,” Dorcas said, rushing over to you.
Dorcas leaned down and kissed you hard, the kiss full of intensity and fire and anger. You were startled, but quickly started to kiss her back. This was your group, not hers anymore. If she wanted to see you fuck, she’d get a good show before she was kicked out.
Dorcas dropped to her knees in front of you. She propped one of your legs up against the armrest on the side of the couch.
Dorcas propped up your other leg and pushed it toward James, who was sitting right next to you. “Hold her, will ya?” Dorcas said.
James nodded, taking hold of your right leg.
With your legs widespread, your skirt bunched up at your waist.
“You consent?” Dorcas asked.
You nodded your head yes.
Dorcas wasted no time pushing your underwear to the side and diving in, flattening her tongue against you and moving up and down.
Your head tilted backward as you sighed, your eyes squeezed shut as you tried not to focus on the several pairs of eyes on you. You leaned onto James, trying to somewhat hide your face in his neck,
Dorcas was someone you’d always assumed would be rough in the bedroom, and she was angry and worked up over the Marlene situation, however, you were surprised by how soft and gentle she was being. You knew it was intentional for you.
She was in no rush, moving her tongue slowly against you. You thought of something Lily had told you previously: Girls give better head because they know what truly feels good.
You whimpered each time Dorcas swirled her tongue particularly well, and James lightly rubbed his thumb across your leg, comforting you on top of the pleasure.
“Jeez,” Evan spoke from across the room.
Marlene slouched in her chair in a huff, her eyes fixed on everyone else in the room, trying to gage their reactions to you.
You let out a light squeal when Dorcas began to trace around your hole with her finger, alerting you of an oncoming intrusion.
She slowly slipped one finger inside of you, again in no rush as you softly moaned at the sensation. Her mouth never detached from you as she began to pump her finger in and out of you.
James stroked your thigh with his fingers as he watched Dorcas eat you out, occasionally kissing the top of your head to remind you that you were okay. He also just wanted the validation of feeling included. James liked to feel needed.
Everyone was watching intently, turned on by the sight in front of them. Marlene was focused on everyone else, and Sirius took a drag of his cigarette every time James leaned in to kiss your head.
“Shit, I-“
You spoke so low that only James could hear it. James tapped Dorcas to warn her that you were about to come, and instead of following through, she stood up and backed away from you.
You instinctively closed your legs, remaining in your comfortable position against James.
“That wasn’t shit,” Marlene said, “you really want that in here?”
“Who said we were done?” Dorcas spat back.
Dorcas grabbed Remus’s arm and pulled him over to the empty space on the rug where the coffee table used to be.
Remus looked at Dorcas expectantly, but she just raised her eyebrows and gestured toward the floor.
Remus threw his hands up. “Yeah, it’s a nice rug.”
Dorcas sighed and pushed his shoulders until he was kneeling on the floor.
“You could have just fuckin’ told me where you wanted me, damn,” Remus said.
“Y/N?”
You were still slouched into James, trying to calm your breathing despite your core being on fire from the abrupt stop to your pleasure. “Mhm,” you vocalized.
When you didn’t receive an answer, you forced your eyes open to see the entire room staring at you.
“Think you’re needed down there, angel,” James whispered to you, nodding toward Remus.
You took a deep breath. You dropped to your knees and sat in front of Remus. He leaned in to your ear and whispered, “I’m gonna take care of you, baby.”
He kissed your cheek before he adjusted himself to a lay, sprawled out against the rug and waiting for you to sit on him.
You adjusted your legs around his waist, grateful Dorcas didn’t take your skirt fully off. You were still clothed and modest to the group.
“Remus doesn’t like to be kept waiting,” Marlene said.
“Don’t you speak for me, I’m doing just fine down here,” Remus said, placing his hands behind his head as he watched you in amusement.
You blindly undid Remus’s belt, pulling it off of him as you began to unbutton his jeans. Remus pushed his jeans and boxers down just enough to free his already hard cock.
You began to pull your underwear to the side, but a voice stopped you.
“No no,” Marlene said, “fuckin’ amateur. Don’t you know Remus needs a little something first?”
You knew she was just messing with you and trying to prove that she knew everyone better than you, but you felt like you knew Remus above everyone in the room.
But, if she wanted a show, you’d give her a show.
You slowly backed up on your knees until you were between Remus’s legs. You remained on your knees, allowing your ass to stick upward and your skirt to fall onto your back, exposing your backside, as your hands found Remus’s cock.
You looked to Lily, who had taught you the little you knew so far, and she nodded at you so as to say “you got this.” Her approving nod gave you confidence.
You licked a stripe from the base of Remus’s cock to the tip before sinking down on the entire length. Remus was large, too large to fit entirely in your mouth without deepthroating, but you didn’t care. You were running on pure lust, anger, and adrenaline.
Remus was looking down at you, but when his tip hit the back of your throat, he slammed his head back against the floor, a satisfied moan leaving his lips.
You pulled away almost entirely before sinking back down again, deepthroating him once more.
“Fuckin’ hell,” Remus sighed.
You swallowed in uncomfortability at the feeling of his cock in your throat, which only added to his pleasure.
“Bloody hell, you can see him in your throat, Y/N,” Lily said, “do that again.”
You looked up at Remus, who looked down to see what Lily was talking about. You swallowed again, and Remus could see the slight bulge of his cock in the top of your throat.
“Holy fuck.”
You pulled away and began to suck him normally, maintaining a steady rhythm. You couldn’t taste all of him without deepthroating, so you used your hand to account for the base of his length.
You looked up at Marlene, who scoffed and looked away as you kept your gaze on her, evidently showing her your confidence and ability as you sucked off Remus.
Marlene looked around the room and saw everyone’s eyes trained on you. Sirius adjusted his position in his seat, and James was nearly salivating.
“Okay, enough, get to it then,” Marlene said.
You pulled off of Remus, making a show of wiping your lower lip as you moved upward until you were sitting on top of Remus.
His hands found your waist without hesitation. He was lost in pleasure and lust, eager to feel you again.
You pushed your underwear to the side and held onto Remus’s length with one hand, positioning it at your entrance.
You slowly sank down, watching Remus’s face for any uncomfortability, but he was immediately just to happy to be inside of you that he pushed his hips up.
You gasped at the sudden feeling of a thrust, and Remus snapped open his eyes and looked up at you.
“You okay?”
You leaned down and kissed Remus. “Fuck me, Rem.”
Remus used one hand to hold your hair as he pulled you back into a kiss, and the other hand gripped your waist to hold you in place as he began to fuck up into you.
You dropped your head into the crook of his neck, and he held your head there, happy to have a few moments where he was the only one who could hear your small whimpers and whines. James was right: he did enjoy being special to you.
Dorcas knelt beside your bodies and wrapped her fingers in your hair, pulling back until you were seated up. She tugged at the bottom of your shirt, pulling it up over your head. She then unclasped your bra and pulled the straps off of your arms.
She hungrily kissed you, keeping you sat up so that your body was on full display for everyone in the room.
She kissed down from your neck to your breasts, sucking on your nipple as you threw your head back in pleasure.
You felt a sudden pang of embarrassment, but it was quickly gone as you looked to your right. Alecto was pressing her legs together for dear life, Evan was holding a pillow between his legs, and Sirius was staring you dead in the eyes.
You stared back for a moment, matching his eye contact. He coughed on cigarette smoke, something he never did as a veteran smoker, but continued to look back at you.
Your attention was pulled by Dorcas, who kissed you again as Remus’s thrusts grew harder and faster.
You moaned out as you threw your head back, trying to lift your hips in rhythm with Remus, but he was thrusting a little too fast for you.
Dorcas noticed, and she crawled behind you, kneeling on the floor as she held your body against hers, ensuring you remained seated upward and on display.
She kissed the side of your neck, sucking on a sweet spot as you closed your eyes and allowed yourself to get lost in the pleasure. You tried not to think about Marlene or the voyeurism, but just to be present in the moments of pleasure.
Your moans grew higher in pitch until you began to clench around Remus.
“Fuck, Remus, I- shit, I can’t-“
“No fucking cop outs,” Marlene said.
Embarrassment flooded your cheeks. Saying it was hard. “I- I’m-“
“Merlin, Y/N, please say it,” Remus spoke through erratic breaths below you.
You took a deep breathe. “I- I’m gonna come, Remmy, please-“
Remus snapped his hips hard, hitting your sweet spot and causing you to come with just a few more thrusts. Dorcas held you through your high, causing your legs to shake and your body to nearly convulse from the intensity as Remus came in succession.
You blinked your eyes open, trying to catch your breath as Dorcas kissed your temple and stood up.
You wiped sweat from your forehead and looked down at Remus, who put his hands behind his head again and smiled up at you.
“Stay there as long as you like.”
You giggled and leaned down to kiss Remus as Dorcas gave you back your shirt.
With Remus still in you, you pulled your shirt over your head and looked at Marlene, eyebrows raised.
“Good enough for you?” you grinned.
Marlene shrugged, clearly bothered. “Nothing I couldn’t do better.”
“I beg to differ,” Remus sighed, “not a lot could top that.”
You leaned down and kissed Remus before carefully lifting your hips and sitting back on the floor. You knew better than to try to stand.
Remus took a moment before covering himself back up, and you both sat on the floor with your backs against the couch. No one said anything.
“Didn’t think you could get any hotter, but fuck was I wrong,” Evan said.
“Are you always the horniest one in the room?” you joked.
“I don’t know, is he?” Marlene said, turning toward Sirius.
Sirius flicked embers into an ashtray. “Meaning?”
Marlene’s voice was not as confident as before. “You seemed to enjoy the show.”
“Oh, come on, Marlene, don’t start shit right now. You got what you wanted, you saw her fuck. You in or out?”
Marlene looked around the room, and everyone was focused on her. She tucked a piece of hair behind her ear and leaned forward with her elbows on her knees.
“I’m already in. I never left the group,” she said dryly.
“One more shot,” Remus said, and Dorcas tried to speak up in protest, but Remus shushed her. “One more shot, but if you pull any shit, you’re out.”
Dorcas threw her hands in the air. “You come and suddenly you’re in a nice mood?”
“Y/N?” Remus said, looking to you, “that seem fair?”
You looked up at Marlene. She was clearly insecure about someone in this group, and if she left right now, you’d never find out who. Regardless, you didn’t feel like drama. If she stayed, whatever.

K. BAKUGO SHORT STORY ᡣ𐭩
Tumblr media
Scarily Observant:
You had always joked that Bakugo wasn’t the most romantic guy. He didn’t shower you with flowery compliments or grand gestures, but you knew better.
His love showed itself in quieter ways, ones that made your heart skip a beat when you realized just how much attention he paid to you.
It started small—too small to notice at first. Like how he always handed you the mug you liked best when y'all had coffee or how he seemed to know exactly where you left you keys before you even asked.
“Lucky guess,” he’d mutter when you pointed it out, but there was no mistaking the faint smirk tugging at his lips.
One day, you were running late for work, frantically searching through your closet. “Why is everything I want to wear in the laundry?” You groaned, yanking hangers back and forth.
Bakugo leaned against the doorframe, arms crossed. “Wear the green sweater,” he said casually.
You paused, turning to him in surprise. “The green one? You mean the one with the loose sleeves I got last year?”
“Yeah. You always wear it when you’ve got long meetings,” he replied as if it were the most obvious thing in the world.
Your jaw dropped. “How do you even know that?”
He shrugged. “You fidget with the sleeves when you’re stressed. Look, just wear it and stop making me late, dumbass.”
Moments like that kept piling up. He remembered every little thing you told him, from how you liked your tea to the name of your favorite childhood toy.
Once, you casually mentioned a song you used to love but hadn’t heard in years. The next time y'all went on a drive, it was queued up in the playlist.
“Don’t overthink it,” he’d grumble when you called him out, his ears tinged red.
But the moment that truly floored came during a quiet evening at home. You were curled up on the couch, flipping through an old photo album your mother had sent over. Bakugo glanced over your shoulder, his sharp eyes taking in every detail.
“That’s the bracelet you lost, isn’t it?” he asked, pointing to a picture of you as a kid, wearing a simple silver bangle.
Her eyes widened. “How do you remember that? I barely even mentioned it!”
“You talked about it when we first started dating. Said your grandma gave it to you,” he replied, almost nonchalantly. Then, with a small, rare softness in his voice, he added, “It meant a lot to you.”
You turned to him, overwhelmed by the realization of how much he truly paid attention to you. “You’re scarily observant, you know that?”
He rolled his eyes. “Yeah, well, someone’s gotta remember all the stuff you keep forgetting.”
But deep down, you knew the truth: Bakugo’s sharp eyes weren’t just for battle or strategy. They were his way of showing love—by noticing, remembering, and cherishing every little thing about you.

You rich and I'm wishin', um
You could be my mister, yum
Delicious to the maximum
Chew you up like bubble gum
You love me, he wants me
I think I want you too
Best day of your life- yeah, what a fucking joke. But what were you expecting? Ditching people at the altar seemed to run in the family. Okay, maybe that was a bit of a harsh assessment of the Peñas, especially Peña senior, who, despite all you had heard of him from your ex fiance, had always shown you kindness.
The thing is, it becomes really fucking hard to be charitable to a family when their son humiliates you infront of the entirety of Texas. Leaves you high and dry on the steps of the biggest church in town in your great grandmother’s silk dress. It becomes even harder when you learn his mother had been in on it all along, sparing you not even a little apology, or a comforting embrace after her son's little getaway plan had been revealed.
Instead of extending you a supporting hand, she ran away to make sure her baby boy was okay, and that this entire ordeal hadn’t taken a toll on his emotional and psychological well being.
How thoughtful.
Of course, you were the pathetic one– unable to look anyone in the eye, sobbing on your fathers shoulder till you couldn’t breathe any longer. So distraught and unwell even getting out of your wedding attire seemed impossible. It only made you feel even more pathetic. At some point you ended up curling up in your hotel bed, still in the “happiest day of your life” outfit, and pleading for some time alone from your friends and family to wallow in your own suffering.
You would eat your feelings in the from of the apology chocolates the hotel had complimented for you, but you couldn’t manage to even do that without feeling like a total fucking looser.
After all that had transpired, and after years of hearing nothing but sour things about your soon to be father in law, safe to say you were surprised to see him at your hotel room door at midnight as the ambassador the family seemingly sent to smooth things over.
For it being only your second time meeting the man, this was far from the most opportune scenario. In fact, him showing up all sorrowful and apologetic for his shitty excuse of a son, in his navy blue suit and loose tie, made your already pathetic day all the more difficult to get through.
Your whole relationship you had blamed every fault of your boyfriend on his absent, detached father. You’d heard plenty about the lack of childhood visits, quality time, and playing soccer that had plagued your partner’s life, and had found it quite easy and comforting to pile on every relationship problem you ever came across as the consequence of Javier Peña’s lack of responsibility and good parenting.
What you didn’t expect, was to find that Javi Peña was a whole lot more normal and level headed than you anticipated. He was just a guy trying to make a good living and provide for his family. Sure, he was a little bit reserved, but he was only ever warm and sweet and even quite chatty with you. To be frank, you should have seen your boyfriend’s shitty behavior as a consequence of his insufferable mother from a mile away. God knew you weren’t expecting Peña Sr. to be the better of your two soon to be in laws.
That being said, you would have never expected to be on your hands and knees, on what was supposed to be your marital bed, being pounded from behind by your ex soon to be father in-law.
Because that's where you are now, eyes rolling to the back of your head thanks to the most intense pleasure you've ever felt. The drag of Javis cock against your walls has been building a steady heat in your belly, the stretch of him so perfect and delicious it has you pushing your hips back to meet his every thrust.
Any other day a man like him wouldn’t have needed much to woo you– with his cut jaw, handsome features and those chocolate brown eyes you wished his son had inherited. Safe to say on a day like this one it took even less, just a few rubs on your back, a hand smoothing over your head and trailing down your waist, a few “pretty girls” and “poor things” and some fucking sympathy from someone from your boyfriends sorry family.
Fucking pathetic.
But Javier knows his son is pathetic, knows he is a good for nothing moron who doesn't even know what he was losing out on when he walked out on you.
“He’s a fuckin fool- look at this tight little pussy, squeezin’ me so fuckin good. Bet he didn’t fuck ya like this, huh baby? Didn’t make ya cum over and over, make ya scream… stupid fuckin boy..” Javier’s grip on your hips tightens on hearing your moan, and he curses under his breath when your pussy flutters around his cock.
Your legs are threatening to give out under you, your knees tender from how long you've been leaning on them. Javier’s hand moves to grip the fabric of your veil, using it to pull your head back and make you face the mirror that's been teasing you all evening. “Look- Look at ya- fuckin cryin’ on my cock. ‘S the only reason ya’ shoulda’ be cryin’ in this pretty dress..” With drooping eyes you're faced with your own reflection– stains from your mascara running down your face now less thanks to the sorry of the afternoon and more thanks to the way Javi’s cock has been nudging your sweetspot.
You watch your tits spill out of your beautiful silk dress, the fabric now disheveled and a far cry from the sophisticated, simplistic garment it once was. You can barely recognise it, but then again you can barely recognise your own reflection. “Look at that pretty little body- fuckin made for me.”
“Yours-” you cut yourself off with a gasp, Javi’s hands squeeze your hips and your cheeks set ablaze at the way he looks at you when you catch it in the mirror. The whole sight is so debauched and depraved– you on your hands and knees for a man who could easily be mistaken for your father. But somehow it's even dirtier- the possibility of your ex finding out sends you into overdrive.
The silk of your dress brushes against your hot skin, flipped lewdly up to reveal your bare ass, bunched at the waist, the straps drooping and threatening to fall. Javi pulls the zip down even further, watching as it hangs off your body, draped like fabric from a 15th century painting.
Javi’s voice calls your attention back to the present moment, lewd words showing you he doesn't hold back the way his son does. “Gonna fill this tight little cunt up..” The stretch is so delicious between your legs, you feel the steady throb continue to tighten the coil inside you and you can’t help but moan. “Yeah, you want that? Want daddy to put a baby in you?” the thought makes you shiver, that name makes you shiver, has your cunt clenching around his cock. What an image- you, belly round with your father in laws child, well, your ex father in law. Unlike his son you were sure he would be the perfect husband, would bend you over ever surface in your picket fence house and fuck you just like he’s doing now.
Deep, and hard and fast, just like you need it. Just like you've always needed it..
“Please daddy, want your babies, wanna be yours…” Your voice is so broken and wrecked you're afraid he can’t understand what you're even saying. To be honest you can’t be bothered much, it feels so good, his thick, hard cock feels so good pounding between your thighs there's little else you can keep your mind on.
“Yeah? you like that sweetheart? we can play house..” you nod your head and his hand tightens its grip around your veil, exaggerating your movements, bending you to his will. “Wanna play house with daddy? can be my pretty little wife” you fist the sheets, pushing back against him with his every thrust. You do want that, you’ve always wanted that. And what better person to do it with. Sure, his wife always complained about how he was never around, but that's looking a lot more like a her problem– especially with the way Javi’s tip continues to kiss your sweet spot.
“Yes daddy, please..”
Javier lets go of your veil, and pushes his palm between your shoulder blades, forcing you down into the mattress till your cheek is pressed against the warm, fluffy duvet. One hand keeps you there, the other lands a quick spank to your ass and kneads at the flesh with a newfound desperation. “Won't be able to even say his goddamn name after I'm done with ya. Stupid boy doesnt know how to treat a pretty thing like you– so sweet, so gorgeous, so fucking smart. Too fucking good for him.”
With your lips parted and breathing heavy you drool onto the covers, letting Javi pound you into the mattress and overshadow every other thought that dared cross your head earlier in the day. If his plan is to make you forget about anything that isn't him, it sure is working. You don't think you’d even want to sound out his incompetent son’s name after he’s done with you.
As if he can read your mind his voice calls from behind you. “Want ya to be drippin with me.” the wet schick of his cock fucking into your tight, wet, hole reminds you of just how needy you are for him, and the prospect of having him dripping out of you– down your thighs, between your legs, leaving you all messy for him to come back and do it all over again, drives you absolutely insane.
“He’s fuckin useless, just like his ma. But look at you, so fucking tight ‘round me, making all those pretty sounds, she fuckin’ wishes she was you.” His words have your cunt squeezing around his cock, and a lewd, pornographic moan slipping past your lips. “My girl’s gonna be the perfect lil’ mamma, aren’t ya, so fuckin’ pretty.” You would certainly like that- in fact you’re almost surprised with how appealing it sounds to you.
“Gonna be perfect for you daddy, only for you.” your dress rides up even further, the front slipping further down.
“Thats my fucking girl.” That growl of his sends shivers down your spine– possessive, and confident and dripping like honey from his lips. It was almost like it could send you over the edge by itself. The lewd creaking of the bedframe fills the room, the sound of skin on skin driving you wild. The way he handles you– firm and deft but gentle and passionate, it's nothing like his son.
He’s nothing like his son.
“Yeah, bet it feels good don’t it, bein’ fucked by a real man? Feel daddy so deep in ya? Nothin ever been that deep before, huh..” You shake your head ‘no’ and he coos at how pathetic you must sound, barely able to make a coherent sound, forget string together a whole sentence.
“Make me go fuckin’ crazy, babygirl.”
What he says is fucking filthy, there’s no denying, no justifying it. It makes you squirm, makes you even wetter, makes you want him even more.
“Think you wanna go back to him? With daddy’s cum drippin between those pretty thighs, show him how a real man treats his girl?”
“Gonna make ya beg him to stay, gonna talk some sense into him, just so daddy can have ya all to himself, ain't that right? You gonna sneak into daddy’s room in the middle of the night? All wet an’ achy? Beggin’ daddy to fuck ya how ya need?”
“Wanna run away with me baby, live in a perfect little house, let daddy give ya his babies, fuck ya full’ve my cum every single night?”
His hands roam your body, smoothing over your hips, reaching forward to squeeze at your breasts, pinching and kneading the flesh. He bends down to trail light kisses along your spine and the feeling is like nothing you’ve ever felt before. Your head twists side to side against the sheets as you squirm, each sensation like it's heightened to the maximum, the heaviness and the throb between your thighs at an all time high.
You know you're close, you can’t hold it off much longer. Your cunt squeezes and your toes curl. You also know Javi won't last, you can feel him pulse against your swollen walls, can feel the way he desperately thrusts into you, pushes you further down against the mattress, grips your skin with that renewed fervor, with the desperation of doing anything to hold on to the incredible sensation.
“Come for me, babygirl, come for daddy, show daddy how much ya needed this, show daddy how bad ya need his cock.”
Your legs part even further under you, if that's even physically possible, your entire upper body being smashed into the mattress. You call out Javi’s name, followed by a string of desperate, strained, whiny daddy daddy daddy’s.
With a strangled moan that's partially muffled by the covers you come undone, your head spins and your heart pounds in your chest, you feel yourself gush and clamp down around his cock. You feel Javi’s hips stutter behind you and his cock throb against your wet walls. The feeling only prologues and intensifies your orgasm, your body going slack and eyes rolling back into your head.
“Please daddy, need your cum, please, give it to me..”
Javi’s groans catch your attention as you come down from your high, still reeling from the aftershocks when you feel his cock twitch inside you and paint your walls with his hot spend. Your words are strained and slurred, but they clearly get the job done. You shiver and press your ass back against him to meet his stuttery, sloppy thrusts, and bite your lip when you feel him tighten his grip on your hip, feel him land a final spank to your ass for good measure as he slows down.
You keep your ass in the air, face still pressed against the mattress as Javi pulls out. You hear him mutter a few strained curses under his breath as he does, and catch him looking between your legs to see his spend obscenely leak out of your used hole. He reaches his fingers to rub against your messy folds and you whine, feel him gather up your juices and push them back inside your cunt in a way that has you almost cumming right there again.
Your dress is still pooled at your waist and he unzips it entirely, sneaking his hands under your thighs and flipping you over and yanking you towards him.
“You really want daddy’s babies?” Your head falls back against the bed when you feel his hand cup your cunt, rub your messy, swollen folds with the calloused tips of his fingers. You barely manage to nod.
“Then I ain’t done with ya yet pretty girl.” You tilt your chin to catch his gaze, now in nothing but your stupid little wedding veil. You’re not sure about the best day of your life, but this sure as hell contends for one of the best nights.
You can be my daddy tonight-night-night
I'm neon phosphorescent
Open like a Christmas present, oh
You can be my daddy tonight-night-night
If you're seeking heaven
Then you wanna come and get it alright
Be my daddy tonight
What's up what's up
What's up what's up
Be my daddy be my daddy
Be my daddy be my, be my daddy tonight

in which spencer reid doesn't like that flirty!reader is going on a date. he makes that known. (bandages universe)
flangst, 18+ for discussions of sex warnings/tags: gn!reader I think, mentions of going to a bar/going for drinks, very suppressed mutual pining, jealousy from Spencer, reader implied to engage in casual sex, reader calls themself a slut somewhat disparagingly but like as a joke, it all gets resolved, he is very sweet, he rambles when he's nervous a/n: oh God I love them so much they are like so in love and they literally have no idea at all because they're so dumb... but WE can tell.. turning point for them
Tumblr media
“Penelope wanted me to confirm that you guys are coming to drinks with us tonight?”
It’s something of a standing tradition for the BAU on the last Friday of every month, and usually you’d agree, but tonight, you have other plans.
“Raincheck for me,” you say, sliding some files into your bag which you do not plan on reviewing. “I have a thing.”
“What thing do you have on a Friday night?” Morgan asks skeptically. You don’t bother looking at him as you hide a smile.
“A date, Morgan. You jealous?”
“You’re going on a date?”
You’d nearly forgotten Spencer was in the room until he spoke—he’s been in one of those quiet moods of his where he sort of floats around everyone else and makes himself insubstantial. As you cast him a sidelong glance, trying to figure out his tone of voice, you see he’s frowning. Nearly grimacing. His brows are drawn so tight you’re worried he’ll give himself a headache.
“Uh, yeah. I am.” Suddenly, your parade feels a little rained on.
“With who?”
You pause, looking back down at your desk with a new frown of your own and shaking your head as if you could clear it that way. “Just… some guy from OT.”
“Dalton?”
Ding ding ding. Somehow he got it right on the first guess, and for some reason, you wish he hadn’t. You don’t want Spencer knowing who you’re going on a date with. It feels wrong.
“Does it matter?” You evade, shoving your things with a little more force into your bag.
“Well Dalton is an idiot, so I guess I’m just trying to figure out why you’d go out with him.”
“And if it’s not Dalton?”
“Then I’d tell you all the guys in OT are idiots and you shouldn’t waste your time on any of them.”
“Alright—” Morgan passes between your desks, placing a friendly hand on your back as he does. “I’m gonna let you two hash this out by yourselves.” He gives you a look, eyebrows raised, unsmiling, that means, go easy on the kid. It makes you feel terribly guilty. And more than a little defensive.
“Night,” you call halfheartedly. He only waves as the glass doors swing shut behind him, leaving you and boy genius alone in the bull pen.
Silence falls, cloistering you as you finish packing up together. It seems to magnify the buzz of the overheads. You notice him intentionally lingering, and you sling your bag over your shoulder with a sigh.
“Okay,” you say, turning to face him with your whole body. He seems uncomfortable with that, but you’re not letting this go. “What is this? Why are you mad at me?”
“I’m not mad at you,” he mumbles, refusing to meet your eyes. “I just think—”
“Yeah. You’ve made your thoughts abundantly clear. I don’t know why you’re judging me for going on a date.”
“I’m not judging you! I just think you deserve better than a guy who looks like he… snorts protein powder for every meal and has less capacity for intelligent conversation than a mealworm.”
“Okay. Do you have someone in mind?”
The words come out a little sharper than you’d meant for them to. A little louder. Spencer looks like a scolded puppy as he swallows.
“Not specifically. Just—someone more like you.”
He just doesn’t get it. You fold your jacket over your arm.
“Yeah, well, until someone more like me comes along and asks me out, Dalton is the best I’ve got. I know he’s not my soulmate, Reid. But he asked me to drinks, and I said yes.”
The room is mostly dark. Only a few fluorescents remain on to cast Spencer in an almost clinical glow against a dark grey background. You’ve been here before. It feels like an interrogation. An environment where you’re practically begging for the truth without saying please, but there’s only room for measured dishonesty.
Spencer speaks under his breath, fiddling with the strap of his own bag. “He’s not good enough for you.”
“What do you want me to do?” It’s an exasperated, confrontational sigh. Your arms raise and fall heavily back to your sides. Another long grey hallway of silence that leads nowhere. When it becomes clear he doesn’t have the answer, or he’s not comfortable sharing, you straighten. “I’ll see you Monday, Reid.”
Your spirits are completely dampened as you trudge to the elevators. What once seemed like an exciting opportunity now only serves as a depressing reminder that you’re wasting your time with a man who isn’t what you want. Maybe you should just call the whole thing off.
“Wait,” Spencer calls, half-jogging to catch the open elevator. His bag bobs with every step, pens and things jingling around inside. It’s endearing, even though you’re upset with him. Your arms remain stubbornly crossed, but he makes it anyway. “I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to ruin your mood.”
You laugh dryly. “Yeah, well…”
“It’s just that…” he sniffs and looks down, hair falling in front of his face. He really is sweet, even when he’s kind of a dick. He’s full of so much sincerity he doesn’t know what to do with it all. “I know how you are—you’re special, and funny, and intelligent, and, and Dalton—all those qualities are wasted on him. He looks at you and he just sees a pretty face. It may sound trite, but… he doesn’t deserve you.”
You sigh again, heart squeezing. The glowing light on the panel of floor numbers flickers. “I know your heart is in the right place, alright? But it’s not about who deserves me or who doesn’t. I’m not a prize. I’m a person, and people like to feel wanted. Sometimes, it’s just—it’s about who’s there, and who likes me enough to say it to my face. Sometimes that’s all I need, and I know you didn’t mean it like this, but when you say he doesn’t deserve me, it really seems like you’re not considering what I might want at all. Maybe Dalton is what I want.”
God—this elevator ride is like, comedically long.
“Is he what you want?”
At least he has the bravery to ask.
You glance over at Spencer, washed out bloodless and looking like he’s prepared to flinch, like he doesn’t know if he’s ready for the answer. The doors ding and slide open, and stale air whooshes from the chrome compartment into the lobby like a held breath finally exhaled. You swallow.
“I don’t know why it matters to you.”
“Because you’re my friend and I want to see you happy,” he insists, trailing after you as you speed walk through the lobby. Every click of your heeled boots echos.
“Then shouldn’t you be supporting me?”
“I’m not going to support you in making the wrong choice.”
The conversation spills out into the bitter-cold parking lot. You turn around to face him.
“Respectfully, you have no idea what’s right or wrong for me. I don’t like whatever this is,” you say, gesturing with a finger between the two of you, as if the conflict were a tangible thing—a phone line hanging between your hearts. “I don’t know if it’s, like, jealousy, or some misplaced feeling of possessiveness, or protectiveness, or—”
“It’s not like that!” He splutters.
“Okay—so what is it like? If you want to see me happy, why don’t you support me in pursuing the things that make me happy? And if that’s meaningless sex with some guy from operational tech, so be it! You are not in a position to give your two cents on who I sleep with!”
“I wasn’t trying to—I wasn’t even thinking about—about sex! I don’t care who you sleep with!”
He’s turning increasingly pink.
“Fine. But if you weren’t thinking about sex, if you thought I was under any illusion that Dalton was going to be my fucking Prince Charming then clearly you’re not equipped to have this conversation. I know he’s an idiot. I’m not looking for my soulmate—thank you, though, for reminding me that it’s completely fucking pointless to even pretend. I love you, Spencer, but grow up. And stay out of my business.”
And with that, you’re turning on your heel and marching toward your car. Spencer calls your name—once. Twice. The wind lashes against your bare arms and stings your eyes as you fumble with your keys.
It’s just the wind.
Nothing else.
-
Maybe you’re simply not meant for love.
It’s a narcissistic thought in the sense that everyone has it at some point in their lives—everyone falls victim to the delusion that they are so uniquely wretched, so singularly incapable of being understood by another person. It’s the universal illusion of solitude. And you’d thought yourself above it for a long time. In college, there was fling after fling. Your bed was never empty if you didn’t want it to be. In your young adult life, you have other priorities—but you rarely have to be alone.
Now, though, as you sit on a rickety metal stool deep in the bowels of the Bureau’s records room, banished to sort through files in search of one that had been mishandled during a cold case and is now supposedly relevant again, (although you’re not sure it actually exists) you’re pondering the nature of those connections you’d been so sure your life was full of. Were they all artificial? Designed by you subconsciously to manufacture a sense of complacent satisfaction? To stave off the aching, gnawing loneliness in your gut that you’re only now becoming aware of and has been eating you away in bigger and bigger bites since Friday night?
Morgan was supposed to be just as arm-deep into a box of dusty manila folders as you are now, but he talked his way out of it, and you’re sitting in an awkward twenty-minute-long-so-far silence with Spencer. Which isn’t helping anything.
The tension comes and goes like the moon pulling the tides. It’s like you can sense it wafting off of each other—you feel it in the prickle on the back of your neck and the buzz in your stomach when he’s about to say something, and you glance over, and he’s already looking at you with his lips parted, and then he doesn’t say anything after all, and the silence reinforces itself.
It gets frustrating.
Not to mention this task is equal parts mind numbing and infuriating. Maybe Hotch just hates you.
Eventually Spencer clears his throat, and you welcome the distraction.
“What year are you on?”
You give him a long look which he doesn’t reciprocate, because you want to say, really? But eventually you pick up the edge of the box you’re sifting through and double check.
“Uh… June 1979 through August 1979.”
He nods matter-of-facts. “They should be making us wear gloves.”
Your incoming tangent spidey senses are tingling. It’s not exactly an opportune time, but it’s better than silence.
Plus—you’re pretty sure this is his idea of a peace offering.
“Why’s that?” You mutter, flicking through yellowed papers.
“Wood pulp paper contains an alum-rosin mixture to minimize ink bleeding, but in the presence of moisture such as that introduced in trace amounts by our fingertips it generates a diluted sulfuric acid solution. They didn’t start adding alkaline buffers into paper until 1986, and the cellulose chains that comprise the structure of the paper inevitably shorten and break down over time, so we’re actively degrading these documents by touching them without gloves.”
“Did you say sulfuric acid?”
“I said a diluted sulfuric acid solution,” he clarifies, utterly missing the point of your question as he so often does in that disarmingly endearing way of his. “Sorry, by the way.”
You look up from a photo of bloodied bell-bottom jeans. He’s caught you by surprise.
“For what?”
“For—”
He struggles with the words—you watch his lips form a few silent ones before he gives up on the nonchalant act and sets his file on his lap. He can’t seem to tear his eyes from it, but you don’t mind.
“For everything on Friday. I… I know it was none of my business. I sometimes struggle with… keeping my thoughts to myself. Especially when it concerns someone I care about. But I wasn’t judging you, I swear. What you said about—about sex, I—” he sighs, obviously frustrated with himself, and pushes a bit of hair out of his eyes. “That’s not where my mind was at, at all. Whatever you… do, or don’t do, is none of my business. Obviously. You don’t need me to tell you that. You don’t need me to tell you anything. I just really wanted to clarify that I wasn’t shaming you or judging you for—”
“Spencer,” you say gently, cutting him off and reeling him in before he can dig any deeper.
“Yeah. Sorry.”
He glows under the canned lighting, a soft aura of white blurring the edges of him. The stale room buzzes. It’s otherwise quiet down here. Peaceful, almost.
From anyone else, you might consider it overstepping.
You wouldn’t have been willing to forgive them in the first place.
But it’s not anyone else.
“Thank you, for apologizing. I really appreciate it.”
He glances up at you, sort of hunched—always trying to make himself smaller than whatever force created him had intended. The deep brown of his eyes is melted and swirling and sweet and nervous. He’s not naturally good at these interpersonal things, but he’s always trying. He’s always pushing himself for you.
Do you ask too much?
Do you offer enough in return?
Struck by sudden insecurity, you look away. Go back to your files.
Perhaps you made a mountain out of a molehill and told him to climb it.
“I mean, I am kind of a slut. I wouldn’t blame you for thinking so,” you laugh airily. “Maybe it was a good reality check.”
A trailing silence. An air conditioner kicks on.
“What? That’s not—that’s not at all what I was trying to say.”
“Spencer, it’s fine.”
His stool squeaks as he sits up straighter.
“No, I really want you to understand. Even if I cared or thought about how many people you might sleep with—which I don’t—and even if I determined that you were… sexually promiscuous, I wouldn’t assign a moral value to that judgement. Sexual promiscuity is observed all the time in the animal kingdom, it’s biologically sound and justified and in less misogynistic cultures where bonds forged between humans weren’t socioeconomic arrangements dependent on women being viewed as commodities first and foremost, it’s completely unremarkable. But I haven’t made that determination. All I know is that… you’re you. And that’s all that’s ever going to matter to me.”
Silence falls. Your voice gets stuck in your throat.
How does he so casually show you more kindness than anyone else has ever managed to show you in your life?
Spencer takes pity on you.
“And… we’ve talked entirely too much about something that’s none of my business today.”
It’s wry and earns a chuckle from you. Even Spencer manages a chagrined smile. That same strand of hair falls loose as he looks down. Light bounces from his self-effacing smirk.
You fiddle absentmindedly with the fraying corner of a folder, and you’re about to open your mouth, about to speak into the sparkling cloud that the easy laughter and the melted tension has left in its wake, and tell him how much you appreciate him and how kind he truly is and undoubtedly whatever you say will be made more beautiful because of it—because of the affection you have for each other—and then you stop, eyes catching on the case file between your fingers. You frown.
“Wait—what’s the case number we’re looking for?”
“91 18 00063 7.”
You hold the file up, eyes alight.
“I found it.”
Spencer frowns and takes it without asking. You watch as he reviews the number in tiny black typeface along the top of the document. His brow scrunches in disbelief.
“I genuinely didn’t think we were ever going to find it,” he murmurs after leading through the photos and glances back up at you. “We had thirty years of boxes to look through and you found it in under an hour. You’re like magic.”
It’s impossible not to smile. You feel all warm and sparkly as you snatch it back from him and stand, straightening your jacket.
“Will you tell that to Hotch?”
“I… will tell anyone who will listen,” he assures you, and you’re confident he’s following as you make your way through the maze of stacks. “Are we not gonna clean up our mess?”
“There are people who will take care of that later.”
“Yeah. Like me. During my lunch break.”
“Don’t worry. You’re going to be well rewarded for your efforts today.”
“What does that mean?” He mumbles, and you can practically hear his blush.
You smile to yourself.
Still got it.

Orange Juice Pairing - Tyler Owens x Female!Reader Summary - When it's time to interview a group of storm chasers for your new book, you get sent back to your hometown. You never would have guessed one of the people you'd be interviewing would be your ex boyfriend. And you might still be a little in love with him. Word Count - 13k my god I'm sorry Playlist Warnings - 18+ ONLY. Tyler Smut. Language
Everything looked the same, but somehow different.
You hadn’t stepped foot in this town in ten years, and you were nervous as hell to be here now. This town held a lot of memories and people that you hadn’t visited in a long time. If your agent had told you where you had been going before putting you on the plane, you probably would have asked if there was somewhere else, some other storm chaser group that wasn’t based in Arkansas you could interview. She believed that she was doing a nice thing, surprising you with a trip to your hometown.
You didn’t have the heart to tell her that it may be your hometown, but it also was home to your worst memory.
A sigh left your lips as you pulled up to a familiar gas station, and pushing the memories out of your mind, you put the car in park.
The Tornado Wranglers. That was the group of chasers you would be talking to. Your agent had insisted that they were the best of the best. Apparently they had a very large YouTube following, and their leader was, “charismatic and oozed charm”, according to your agent. He was also the hottest cowboy she’d ever seen.
Those words brought a faint smile to your face, and you pulled out your phone to text her.
Landed, and am currently waiting at the gas station.
A few moments later, a response came through. Any sign of hot cowboys yet?
You let out a laugh. Not yet, but I’ll keep you informed.
Your fingers settled on the door handle. There was no reason to put this off anymore. You were here, and you were going to have to face what was out there, for better or worse. You opened the door and climbed out of your car.
It smelled the same. The gas station had been updated to be more modern, but the faint scent of gasoline and rice from the farms remained. Walking inside, you found little had changed. There was an updated register, a few more products offered, but that was about it. When your eyes caught sight of your favorite candy, a grin spread across your face, and you found yourself reaching for them, even though you hadn’t had them in years.
You didn’t recognize the cashier, which you were grateful for. A part of you had almost expected everyone you knew to pop out of nowhere as soon as your feet touched the ground. Now you realized how ridiculous that was. In fact, you might go this whole trip without setting eyes on a single person from before. Thanking the cashier, you made your way back outside right on time to see a large red truck turning in followed by a camper that was blaring a Tanner Adell song. You couldn’t see the driver of the truck because of the cowboy hat and sunglasses that partially obscured his face, but the guy in the passenger seat recognized you at once. “Hey! That’s her!” You could hear him say it since his window was open.
The guy pulled to a stop, and the one in the passenger seat ran around the front of the car. His hair was dark and shoulder length, but covered with a baseball cap, and the bottom half of his face supported some facial hair. He was dressed much like you expected a tornado chaser to dress, shirt and shorts in different shades of dark green with a bandana around his neck. “Hey, I’m Boone.” He said, holding out his hand for you. “I gotta say, I’m a big fan.” He said the last part in an almost whisper, like he didn’t want anyone else to hear him.
Which, considering you wrote romance books, he probably didn’t. Not the first man to say something similar to you, you nodded with a sincere smile, shaking his hand. “It’s nice to meet you. You guys are the Tornado Wranglers I’m assuming?”
“Yeah, that’s Dexter and Dani.” He said pointing to two people that were exiting the camper behind them. “There’s Lily.” He said, pointing to a girl getting out of another car that you hadn’t even noticed. “And this is our fearless leader, Tyler.”
At that moment, the world around you slowed down. In fact, you were pretty sure all the air was sucked out of your lungs. It couldn’t be him. Out of every person in the world you could be working with, it couldn’t be the one . . . But he took off his cowboy hat, and even though it had been ten years, he was unmistakable. You would know that face anywhere, after all, you saw it all the time in your dreams.
For a moment, you thought he might not recognize you. It had been ten years, you’d both changed in that time, but the moment his eyes landed on you, he knew exactly who you were. He said your name, pure disbelief in his tone as he took a step forward.
You nodded, unsure of how to respond. The two of you hadn’t left on the best of terms, but there were so many years before that. So many beautiful memories that you’d never be able to forget. Half of you wanted to run and hide, the other half (okay maybe more like three fourths) wanted to run into his arms. How could you do that though when you were the one who left?
Tyler didn’t hesitate though. You watched as a slow grin formed on his face that turned into a bright smile, a smile that never failed to make your heart skip a beat, and the next moment he was hurrying towards you. Within seconds you were wrapped up in a hug so tight your feet weren’t even on the ground anymore.
God it felt good. You slid your arms around his neck, hugging him back just as tight, and let out a little laugh as he spun you around. Your eyes closed automatically, and you realized at that moment while you may have written about the way Tyler made you feel, it was nothing compared to the actual emotions. You remembered how his arms always felt like home, and it was no different now. They must have some sort of magic, because no matter how long it had been, they brought your mindset right back to the teenager who was crazy in love with her boyfriend.
After what was probably too long, Tyler put you back on the ground, slowly and a little too intimately for the strangers his team thought you were. In fact, he didn’t even fully let go of you, keeping his hands on your hips. You found yourself unable to let go of him too though, your hands resting on his forearms as he stared at you in disbelief. “I can’t believe you’re here.”
“I can’t believe you’re here.” You said, squeezing his arms. “You’re a storm chaser?” It made perfect sense when you thought about it. Tyler had always had such a good instinct for weather. You couldn’t count the amount of times during school when he told you football games were going to get canceled because it was going to storm. He was never wrong. You just never expected him to quit bull riding.
“Yeah, got a meteorology degree from U of A and everything.” Tyler said, and your breath caught in your throat. Not just because his thumbs had started stroking your hips, but because of his words too.
Tyler had done it. He had done what you had always known he was beyond capable of doing. The shy smile on his face, the love, care, and pride you still, and always would have for him rushed to the surface. Overwhelmed with emotions from the past, you felt tears fill up your eyes as you looked at him. “I’m so proud of you, Ty.” You told him, and you meant every word.
There was no other way to describe it. He was beaming, and god you had forgotten how beautiful that smile was. It was like the sun, almost too bright to look at.
“I get the feeling you two know each other?”
You had forgotten that little aspect of being with Tyler. How everything else would disappear the moment he looked into your eyes. You took a step back from him, letting go of his arms even though every part of your body wanted you to keep touching him. His hands lingered on you for a moment, but then he let go as well. “I guess you could say that.” Tyler said, “this is the girl that broke my heart ten years ago.”
“Wait,” one of the girls, you were pretty sure it was Lily, stepped forward. “I thought that girl’s name was-”
They knew your name. Tyler had talked about you enough that they knew who you were. “That is my name. My writing name is a pseudonym.” You admitted. Heat rushed to your skin, but there was no malice in Tyler’s voice or face. He was just looking at you with a fond smile, as if lost in the same memories you found swirling around in your mind.
“So, you’re a big time writer now, huh? You always did tell the best stories.” Tyler said.
“Man, you should read them. In fact, now that I think about it, one of the main guys kinda reminds me of-” Boone started to say, but you cut him off.
There was no way you were ready for that conversation. “So, um, where did you guys want to talk?” You spoke up, trying to change the subject as subtly as you could.
The look Tyler gave you said he saw right through your bullshit, but he didn’t comment on it, just grinned mischievously at you. “How about Frankie’s?”
Of course he would suggest Frankie’s. It was the bar that the two of you used to go to all the time after rodeos. There were a lot of memories of playing pool, laughing with friends and dancing to whatever band was playing there. While you weren’t sure you were ready for all those memories to hit again, the draw of going back there with Tyler was too much. “Okay,” you agreed. “I’ll meet you guys- ”
“No need for that. You can ride with me.” Tyler said, patting the large red truck.
Being in an enclosed space with your ex boyfriend definitely didn’t seem like a good idea. “Oh, that’s not-”
“It’s really cool. You’ll want to take a peek. He customized it all himself and everything. This baby can drive straight into a tornado.” Boone said while Tyler continued to grin at you.
“Research is what you’re here for right?” Tyler asked you.
Yes. That was a good reminder for yourself. You were here to learn about the essentials of storm chasing for your next book, not to spend all your time thinking about how good Tyler looked after ten years. “Right,” you agreed, and then watched as Tyler walked all the way over to the passenger seat and held it open for you.
“Well, in that case, right this way ma’am.”
————————
To your slight surprise, Tyler kept everything professional in the truck. He showed you all the features, and you couldn’t help but be mesmerized by it all. It was impressive, not only what he had thought of, but had attached himself. “Is this normal? I mean do a lot of storm chasers have vehicles they’ve rigged up?”
“Nothing like this.” He said with pride in his voice as he grinned over at you. “I spent years putting this thing together.”
“When you do something, you always go big.” You teased, smirking at him. “Remember that time in high school when we just wanted to fill the principal's office with ducks, and instead you said we should fill the whole school?”
Tyler scoffed. “Of course I do. I got a month of detention for that because Belinda ratted me out.”
“You did stand her up for a date.” You reminded him.
“Yeah well,” Tyler glanced over at you again. “You needed me.”
Your cheeks heated as the memories of that night flooded your mind. It hadn’t been long after your Dad had passed. You had gotten stupid drunk at a party that he hadn’t wanted to go to. You had been walking home, stumbling home really, when a familiar truck pulled up beside you. It turned out that Tyler had been waiting nearby for at least an hour after feeling like something was off.
He held you in his arms in that truck for hours while you cried, letting out emotions you’d been holding back for months. Then he took you home and snuck into your bedroom to hold you some more. The next morning you told him you didn’t want to be just friends anymore. He told you he hadn’t wanted to be just friends for a long time.
The two of you were inseparable from that moment until the day you left. Almost as if he could sense where your mind was, a palpable tension filled the truck.
You weren’t ready to talk about it though.
Thankfully you were saved from any further discussion as your phone went off with a text. It was from your agent, checking in again.
“Boyfriend?” Tyler asked.
You shot him a look, trying to bite back a smile. “That’s not very subtle of you.”
He sent you a look right back. “Wasn’t trying to be.”
“Agent.” You answered, choosing to ignore his response. “Who I now have to awkwardly tell that the ‘hottest cowboy she’s ever seen’ is actually my ex-boyfriend.”
“So you really had no idea?” Tyler asked.
You shook your head. “Not a clue. I didn’t even know where I was going until I got to the airport and she sent my travel information.”
“Gotta say . . . I’m surprised. I never thought you’d step foot in the town again.” He said, pulling into the small parking lot.
Glancing up at the building, you bit your bottom lip. “I wasn’t sure I would either.”
Frankie’s was exactly what you would picture when you hear the words, “small town bar”, but as soon as you walked in, you couldn’t help but smile at the familiarity. It was big for a small town bar, featuring bars on both sides of the room, plenty of tables, as well as a couple of pool tables, and a stage with a small dancing space in front of it. Most of the furniture was wooden and looking a little rough, but they kept the lighting dim enough that it wasn’t very noticeable. There weren’t a whole lot of people, but there was no band playing, and it was a weekday night. It put you a little more at ease.
“This place hasn’t changed a bit.” You said, looking around.
Tyler shook his head in agreement. “That’s why I love it so much. Feel like I’m right back into my early twenties when I walk back in here.”
“That was a long time ago for you.” You teased.
He clutched his chest, scrunching his eyes at you and giving you a wounded look, but there was a playful edge to it. “Ouch. So you do still have some bite to you.”
You smirked at him. “You bring it out in me.”
Tyler’s frown turned to a grin as he placed his hand on the small of your back, sending chills down your spine. “Let’s grab a booth for everybody.”
The next several hours consisted of you asking the Tornado Wranglers crew every question you wrote down as well as thought of. They not only answered honestly, but never talked down to you like you were stupid for not knowing something either. You loved the relationship that they clearly had with each other. They treated each other like family, with their own strengths and weaknesses that the other members of the team either supported or built upon. You knew immediately it was something you were going to want to include in your book. Not only that, but they were hilarious, and since they knew who you were, they seemed to be ribbing Tyler extra hard.
“All right, you know damn well that was an accident.” Tyler said, pointing a finger at Dexter who was laughing hysterically along with the rest of the table.
“I don’t know, it doesn’t sound like an accident to me Tyler.” You said, raising your eyebrows at the man sitting next to you.
Tyler narrowed his eyes at you and bumped your knee with his under the table. “Now don’t you start.”
“Hey, don’t be rude to our guest.” Dani said.
“Too late for that. He hasn’t even gotten her a drink yet.” Lily spoke up, shaking her head at him in disappointment.
“Oh, you don’t have to-”
Tyler shook his head. “No, they’re right.” He started sliding out of the booth. His hand reached up and gave your shoulder a squeeze. “I’ve got you.”
“I notice he didn’t ask you what you wanted to drink.” Dexter said with a little grin after Tyler made his way to the bar.
You bit your bottom lip. You hoped he remembered. “We’ve known each other a long time.”
“Okay, now that he’s gone.” Boone leaned forward, putting his hands on the table. “One Last Rodeo. Theo. He’s based on Tyler isn’t he?”
Heat rushed to your face. So Boone definitely had read your books. Looking back on it, it was pretty obvious that your first book had been based on Tyler. You were heartbroken, and trying to find a way to get it out on the page. The book was your way of coping with your breakup and how you wished it would have ended instead of the way that it did. By the time someone wanted to actually publish it, you realized how obvious the similarities were, and it was one of the reasons you wanted to write under a fake name. Since Boone had read your book, and now knew that Tyler was your ex . . . It couldn’t have been hard to put together. Still, you couldn’t bring yourself to admit it outloud. “A writer never tells her secrets.” You said.
They were all grinning at you though. “Oh, look how flushed her face is.” Dani said.
“It’s definitely about him.” Lily said.
You opened your mouth to deny it, even though it seemed pointless, but before you could you were interrupted. “Here you go,” he said, sliding back into the booth and putting a glass filled with an orange drink in front of you.
“What is that?” Boone asked, “some kind of tropical-”
“Orange juice.” You answered, smiling over at Tyler. “You did remember.”
Tyler gave you a look of disbelief, like he was insulted. “Of course I did.” When he saw the confused looks of his friends he explained, “she doesn’t drink.”
“Twelve years sober.” You said. “Not something I’m against anyone else doing, it’s just not for me.” Tyler slung his arm over the back side of the booth closest to you, and you had to fight the immediate urge to lean back into his embrace. The rest of the team was smirking at you, and you lifted the glass to your lips to take a sip. “So I’ve just got one more question for you guys.” You said trying to change the subject.
“Fire away.” Dani said.
“Why do you guys do it?” That was what you really wanted to know. “I grew up here. I know how dangerous, how scary these things can be. Why do you guys willingly risk your life for something that seems to have no real reward?”
There was silence around the table for a moment, and you made sure to avoid Tyler’s face. When you had written these questions, you had no clue he was one of the ones you’d be asking, and this question hit a little too close to the reason for your breakup. You didn’t think you could look at him if he answered.
“We like to help.” Lily said. “That’s a factor. We sell these shirts, and we use the money to get people stuff like food and water.”
“Then there’s just the beauty of it. Yes, it’s dangerous and destructive, but there’s also something incredible about it as well. There’s so many factors to tornados we don’t understand. Seeing them come together in person is . . . Indescribable.” Dexter added, while they all nodded their heads in agreement.
“There’s the adrenaline too.” Boone spoke up with a grin. “I’ve never felt more alive than when we’re chasing.”
Your body tensed at his words, memories of your last argument with Tyler trying to invade your mind. Once again, you felt sure he could sense what you were thinking as you felt his gaze on the side of your face.
“It’s hard to put into words without actually seeing it.” Tyler said. “You should come on a chase.”
That made you look at him, your eyes wide in shock that he would even suggest it. “I don’t think that’s a good idea.”
“Why not?” Tyler leaned towards you. “Scared?” He asked with a smirk.
“Yes.” You answered honestly.
“Ah, you’d be perfectly safe with Tyler. He’s got a knack for these things.” Boone said, and you looked over at him to find him grinning at the two of you. “You’d barely be in any danger at all.”
You didn’t doubt that, but heading straight into something that could be so destructive had never been your thing. Hell, you hadn’t even gotten on a horse until Tyler talked you into it. “Still, any danger is too much danger for me.”
Tyler shrugged. “The offer is there if you change your mind.” Tyler said, and you knew him well enough to see the flash of disappointment on his face.
Weirdly, you felt a little disappointed in yourself too.
————————
For the past hour, you’d been pacing around your motel room. Tyler had driven you back to your car, then followed you to the motel that funnily enough, him and the rest of the Wranglers were staying at as well. It was the only motel in your hometown, but knowing that Tyler was a few doors down from you made you anxious.
God, seeing him again had been your worst nightmare and best daydream all rolled into one. It was so easy to think that after ten years you were over someone. Then you see them again, and everything comes flooding back. All the beautiful memories and all the mistakes you wish you could take back, and there were a lot of mistakes you wished you could take back with Tyler. You’d never loved anyone the way you loved him, and you didn’t think you ever would. Seeing him again had reminded you of that.
Letting out a sad sigh, you sat down on your bed. Then there was Tyler’s invitation and disappointment. You hated disappointing him almost as much as you hated disappointing yourself. It had taken several years of therapy and hard work to not be so scared of ending up with the same fate as your father. You had grown though. You had learned about yourself and the things that caused those reactions. While getting close to a tornado was definitely dangerous, you knew that Tyler would take care of you. You also knew that you didn’t want to miss out on any more experiences in your life because you were afraid.
You stood up, not allowing yourself another moment to try and talk yourself out of it, and left your room, knocking at the one three doors down.
Tyler answered, clad in his white t-shirt and jeans, and smiled when he realized it was you. “Hey, what’s up?”
Good lord was there ever a moment when this man didn’t look incredible? You swallowed, then nodded. “I changed my mind.”
He leaned against the doorway, eyebrows raised in confusion. “About what?”
You took a deep breath. “I wanna go on a chase.”
Tyler beamed.
————————
It took three days for a storm to come through that Tyler felt good about. They had done some chasing in that time, but Tyler hadn’t brought you along because he said they hadn’t been the “right one”. The wait made you anxious, but you trusted Tyler’s instincts, and every night they were back at the motel ready to tell you about their day. You thought that they might eventually get bored of all your questions, but they were not only great, but amazing storytellers as well. You could see why their YouTube channel was so popular.
Not that you spent a whole day watching it while they were gone or anything.
Finally though, the day arrived and you found yourself standing outside by Tyler’s truck waiting for the team to join you, your heart pumping a little faster than normal. “Morning!” A voice called, pulling your attention away from inspecting Tyler’s truck again, and you saw the man in question heading towards you with a paper sack in one hand and an iced coffee in the other. “Haven’t talked yourself out of this yet?”
You shook your head. “Nope. I’m doing this.” You smiled as Tyler handed you the coffee and bag. “Did you seriously get-?”
“Your breakfast sandwich and coffee? Yes, you need fuel for the road.” Tyler used his now free hands to open the door for you. “Hop on in, and let’s get going.”
“Wait,” you said, glancing around. “Is everyone else meeting us there?”
Tyler leaned against the door, and you watched as he looked at the sky behind you, then turned his gaze back to you. “Nah, I gave them the day off. I didn’t want you to have to deal with pressure from them if we get there and you decide not to do this.”
You bit your lip. He was always so thoughtful. Back when he knew you, he would have had to drag you to this truck kicking and screaming, which he never would, and the fact that he wanted to save you some embarrassment in case you decided not to do this was just like him. Unable to help yourself, you reached out and gave his hand a squeeze. “Thank you.” You said sincerely.
“Well,” you inhaled sharply as Tyler took a little step closer to you. “I’ve got to admit, getting you alone for the day also played a factor.”
Your eyes widened and a shy smile formed on your face even while your mind was spinning. Over the past few days there had been brief moments where you thought Tyler might have been flirting with you, but you talked yourself out of it. Now though . . . Was there actually a chance this man still wanted you? He couldn’t. Not after how you had treated him. It didn’t make sense. “You might end up regretting that, you know?” You told him.
Tyler reached up, and your whole body froze as he brushed some hair behind your ear. “I’ve never regretted a moment I’ve been with you.”
His response took the breath from your lungs. “Ty . . .” You didn’t know what to say. Your heart was beating so fast it hurt. How could he possibly not regret that night? The night that you broke his heart?
“I’ve missed you calling me that, you know?” He smiled at you, and then took a step back. “Come on, let’s get going.”
Once again, you wanted to say something, but what? Nothing sounded right in your mind. So instead you hopped up in the truck and watched as he closed the door behind you.
————————
“Can I be honest?” You asked him several hours later.
“I didn’t realize you ever weren’t.” Tyler joked, sending you a smirk.
You swatted at him playfully. “I didn’t expect all the waiting. What happens if nothing comes?”
“Oh, something’s gonna happen.” He insisted, looking at some clouds in the distance. “Don’t you have any faith in me?”
While he was kidding, you didn’t stop the serious words that slipped past your lips. “You know I have all the faith in the world in you.”
Ty’s smile turned from something joking to something genuine. “Even after all these years?”
You smiled at him. “It never stopped. I always knew you were destined for great things.” You admitted, and it was the truth. In fact, you’d never been more sure of anything in your life.
“Just not riding on the back of a bull.” He replied, and though he winked at you, the mention of one of the reasons from your breakup filled the air with tension.
Then the question that you had been dying to ask since you first saw him burst from your lips. “Why did you quit?”
Tyler looked at you then, and you knew that look well. He was reading your expression, your eyes, your body language. He’d always been able to tell what you were thinking simply by looking at you, and this time was no different. “It wasn’t because of you.” He said, reaching over to place his hand on top of yours and giving it a gentle squeeze. “I mean, you were part of the reason, but it was more about me realizing you were right, and I could do more with my life.”
He knew you had been carrying that guilt of wondering if you were the reason he quit something that he had loved so much. He told you that you weren’t, but you still frowned, looking out at the darkening sky miles away. “I wish I’d said it differently.”
There was silence for a moment as you two watched the storm, but it wasn’t uncomfortable. It felt more reflective, and your thoughts were only confirmed when he spoke up. “Do you ever wonder where we’d be now? If you’d stayed?”
If only he knew . . . “I guess that depends.” You bumped your shoulder against his. “Would you have proposed by now?” You teased, but a part of you wanted to know the answer.
Tyler grinned at you, an adoring look on his face. “Oh definitely.”
A flush heated up your face as a pleased smile fell on your lips. “Then I guess we’d be married and driving each other crazy.”
“Not to mention being driven crazy by the kids.” Tyler added.
You let out a laugh. “After ten years, you still want three kids?”
“Three is a good number.” He defended.
You rolled your eyes. “You know I have this friend now. She just had her fourth. Going over to her house almost makes me not want any at all.”
“That’s because she has four. Three, perfect number.” Tyler said, holding up three fingers. “Four?” He added a finger. “Now that’s just asking for trouble.”
“Especially if they were your kids.” You added, grinning over at him.
“Ah, we could handle them.” Tyler said with a wink in your direction.
A vision formed in your mind of what he was describing. Three kids, all of varying ages, but in your mind it was two boys and one girl. The boys would be almost an exact copy of Tyler, blonde hair and blue-green eyes, dimples and charming smiles. Troublemakers, but also sweethearts who cared deeply and loved life to the fullest. Then the little girl. She definitely had a majority of your features but with Tyler’s smile. She would have Tyler so wrapped around her finger it would almost be embarrassing. Then there’d be Tyler and you, watching all the craziness unfold from your back porch with a glass of sweet tea in your hands. You were happy. You were loved, and you were home.
At that moment, you realized you never wanted anything so badly in your life. You wanted it so badly your chest literally ached with it. Looking over at Tyler made it hurt worse. You thought being away from him would make the love you had fade, but it turned out, the opposite had occurred. In fact, seeing him watch the sky with a content smile and talking about what could have been made you realize you loved him more now. You had loved him in high school, you’d loved him in his early twenties, but this was different. You were different and so was he.
The question was . . . Would he take you back if you tried? You knew you didn’t deserve it. You were the reason the two of you broke up. If you were in his shoes, you didn’t think you could forgive yourself. Tyler had always been a better person than you though.
Was it worth a shot trying?
“Hey,” Tyler pulled you out of your thoughts, lifting your hand and pointing it to something in the distance. “Do you see those clouds?”
You looked out to where he was pointing your hand and frowned. Those definitely looked dark, and they were . . . “Are those spinning?”
“That’s the updraft, and it’s cycling.” He told you.
“And that means . . .”
“That means-” Tyler stood up, put his baseball cap back on his head, and held out his hand to help you off the bed of his truck. “We’ve got a winner.”
————————
You were going to throw up. At least it felt like you were. Not five minutes after you guys reached the storm did a tornado touchdown. Tyler said it was rated for an EF1, so it would be safe to drive into. Well, as safe as driving into a tornado could be. As fast as your heart was pounding, and as sick as you felt you might be, you leaned forward to get a better look out the window. You couldn’t deny the beauty in it. “I’ve never seen something so amazing and scary at the same time.” You admitted.
“It’s incredible isn’t it?”
As nervous as you were, the look on Tyler’s face made you smile. God you hadn’t seen him this excited since he had been on the back of a bull. “It is. Especially when it doesn’t look like it’s going to kill me.”
Tyler laughed, and he pulled to a stop. “Nah, this is just an EF 1. This and the truck are going to keep you completely safe.” Tyler said, reaching to tug at the harness he had secured so tightly to your body that you felt like you couldn’t take a deep breath.
As you watched the tornado race forward, you felt your heart rate start to kick back up and took a deep breath. “And you too right?” You asked, biting your bottom lip.
He parked the truck and faced you, a rare serious expression crossing his face. “You know I wouldn’t let anything happen to you.”
At that moment, you realized you did. Tyler would never willingly put you in danger. He cared about you too much. If he said it was safe, it was. “I do.” You agreed, taking a deep breath, well, as much as you could in this harness. “Let’s do this.”
The grin came back to his face full force as he started pressing buttons on his truck, anchoring it down into the ground as the tornado got closer and closer. “You’re gonna love this.”
”Oh my god, oh my god, oh my god.” Even though you knew you were safe, there was nothing quite like a tornado heading straight towards you while you’re stuck in place. “Tyler . . . This is crazy.”
It was getting closer and closer. Only yards away, and your heart was pounding harder and harder in your chest. You didn’t even think. Your hand reached for his, gripping it tightly as the tornado hit the truck.
Tyler gave your hand a reassuring squeeze, “look up.” He called over the wind, and you did as he asked, leaning towards your side of the car to see out the window.
It was the most incredible thing you’d ever seen. You could see all the way up the funnel to the clouds above as the vortex passed over you. You’d never seen anything like it in your life, and a laugh of disbelief left your lips as you watched it pass over you. When it was done you looked over at Tyler, shock all over your face. “Was that real? Did that actually just happen? Did I just see inside a damn tornado?!”
Letting out a chuckle at your questions, Tyler nodded. “You sure as hell did.”
You let out another laugh yourself and started unbuckling all of your straps. You needed one last look to convince yourself that you had done it. Once you were free, you hopped out of the truck, running around the back to watch it keep going through the field behind you. You heard the truck door close again, but you didn’t turn around, still mesmerized, until you felt Tyler’s hand on your shoulder.
“So, how do you feel?” He asked.
His question was loaded for so many reasons. Years ago, he never would have gotten you close enough to even see a tornado, much less let it speed over you. You were so proud of yourself for doing this, but also sad. How many other life experiences had you missed because of how your father’s life choices had traumatized you? There was no good way to answer his question, so you just did what you wanted to. You jumped up, latching your arms around his neck, and your legs around his waist.
Of course he caught you easily, laughing as he spun you around and held you close. One of his hands rested on your back, while the other cradled your head against his shoulder. After a moment, he let out a content sigh. “I’m so proud of you.”
You clutched tighter to him. He had no idea how much those words meant coming from him. Tyler had seen you at your absolute worst, when you had no one but him. You had clung to him then, leaning on him more than was healthy until you knew that you couldn’t anymore. It made you want to cry, knowing how far you had come and that Tyler could see it. You pulled back to look at him so he could see your watery smile too. “I’m proud of myself.”
The butterflies in your stomach were doing somersaults as he looked at you. His fingers tightened in your hair, and you felt his arm muscles tense against your back. There was tension in the air, no doubt about it, and you found your eyes drawn to those familiar soft lips. You wanted to kiss him. A part of you wondered if it would be the same, or even better because you both were older. You weren’t sure, but either way, you wanted to find out. When you saw his eyes glance at your lips too, you knew he was thinking the same thing. Unable to help yourself, you let your fingers tangle in his hair, pulling yourself the slightest bit closer to him until your noses were brushing.
Then his phone rang.
Whatever spell the two of you had been under broke. Tyler slowly let you down to the ground, but reached for your hand, tangling your fingers with his and keeping you close. “Hey, Boone, what’s up?”
You glanced down at your hands with a soft smile. Tyler’s hands were big and calloused from work and bulls, but they felt nice. You brushed your thumb on the outside of his palm, and he gave your hand a squeeze.
“Yeah, we got one. She handled it like a pro.” Tyler told him, grinning over at you. There was a bit of silence for a moment as the phone conversation continued. “Let me ask her, and I’ll let you know? All right, sounds good. I’ll see you soon.” He hung up the phone and tugged you a little closer again. “Feel like celebrating seeing inside your first tornado?” Tyler asked.
————————
Three hours later you found yourself in new clothes, freshly showered, line dancing between Dani and Boone. You were almost crying from laughing so hard, and your face hurt from smiling so much. It blew your mind that two weeks ago you were sitting in your apartment in South Carolina feeling alone and stuck with writer's block. Now you were back in your hometown, having a blast, writing faster than you had in years, and desperate to get back together with the man who was watching you from the booth, an adorable smile on his face. Feeling a little bold after your almost kiss, you sent him a wink as Boone spun you around, causing his smile to widen.
“You guys are disgustingly cute.” Dani said as the song slowed down and the three of you started to exit the floor.
Heat rushed to your face, and you found yourself asking the question you’d been wanting to ask for days. “Why have you guys been so nice to me anyway? Tyler’s your best friend, and I’m his ex. I broke his heart, but you’ve been nothing but kind to me since the start.”
Boone and Dani exchanged a look. “Yeah, you’re right. If it had been another one of Tyler’s exes we probably would hate you.” Boone said, shrugging his shoulders.
“But you were the one who got away for Tyler, and he’s never said anything but great things about you. Plus,” Dani reached out and patted your shoulder. “It's kinda obvious the two of you are still in love with each other.”
The words hit you like a truck, and then you felt stupid for not realizing it before. You looked at the man sitting at the booth again. This time he was talking to Dexter, his expression animated, and his hands moving wildly with his words. Of course you still loved him. You never stopped. You buried it, hid from it so you could try to better yourself. When you left, you knew you weren’t good enough for him, you probably still weren’t, but now you knew you could love him like you were supposed to. If he was open to it. Boone and Dani made it seem like he was. He had given you signs that he was at least interested . . . The only question was how could you show him that you wanted it too?
An idea hit, and a small smile formed on your face. “I’ll catch up with you guys in a minute okay?” You said to their confused faces and headed to the DJ stand. You gave him twenty bucks, which he gladly took, and promised your song would be next. By the time you’d made it back to the booth where everyone was seated, Never Leave by Bailey Zimmerman was playing.
You approached Tyler, who was looking at you curiously as you held your hand out to him. “Dance with me?” You said, biting your bottom lip.
A surprised, but happy smile formed on his face. “Yes ma’am.”
It was not your and Tyler’s first dance. Probably wasn’t even your hundredth, and dancing with him was as effortless as remembering how to ride a bike. One of his hands rested on the small of your back while the other took yours. You placed your hand on his bicep, giving his arm a squeeze. You didn’t want to say anything. The lyrics of the song could do all the talking for you. Tyler led you around the floor with ease, and as the song went on, you could see the moment the words started to sink in. He leaned forward, his forehead pressing against yours,  and he whispered your name so reverently it made you close your eyes.
“Just listen,” you said softly, tightening your grip on his hand, letting the song say the words you wanted to. Tyler’s arm pulled you even closer until it was almost hard to dance, your bodies pressed against each other. Your heart was pounding so hard you were sure he could feel it against his chest, but you didn’t care anymore. You were laying it all out there now.
As the song ended, you felt Tyler’s lips against your forehead, soft and lingering. Warmth exploded throughout your body, and you pulled back to look up at him.
“Come back to the hotel with me?” You asked, your thumb caressing his arm, almost pleading with your voice.
Tyler’s hand reached up to cup your cheek, and you immediately leaned into his touch, your whole body craving it. “Are you sure?” He asked.
You nodded. There was nothing you were more sure about right now.
He took a step back from you, grabbing your hand and tugging you back to the booth where everybody else was sitting with knowing eyes. He told them that the two of you were leaving. You tried to ignore them, but you couldn’t help but grin when you saw them giving you a thumbs up or silently cheering as Tyler had his back turned.
The ride was quiet, but it wasn’t uncomfortable, it was more filled with tension, and the two of you kept glancing at each other and smiling. He never let go of your hand either until he parked at the motel and came around to open your door. Before you could get down though, he stopped you. “This is what you want right? I don’t want to misinterpret what I think is happening here or pressure you in any way-”
You placed your hands on his face and leaned closer, interrupting him with your first kiss in ten years.
For a moment, he didn’t respond. It was clear you had surprised him, but then his hands gripped your hips, and he was kissing you back.
It was even better than you remembered. It had been good back in late high school and your early twenties, there was no doubt about it. Something about now was different though. Maybe it was because you were older, maybe it was because it had been so long, or maybe it was because you felt healed. Whatever it was, kissing Tyler now blew every kiss you’d had before out of the water.
It was a short kiss, chaste, just to reassure him that you did want him, but when you pulled away the two of you were still breathless. “Am I crazy or was that incredible?” You asked, your hands sliding down his face to his chest.
Tyler laughed, but nodded, his own hands dragging down your thighs and resting on your knees. “It was,” he replied, but then a smirk fell on his lips, “but we can do better.”
Not one minute later, you were trying to open the door to your room, Tyler’s large hand low on your stomach as his lips left soft kisses on your neck from behind. You could barely concentrate as heat pooled where his hand rested, and you could not get the key in the door as he kissed a certain spot on your neck. “Ty,” you said through an exasperated laugh. “If you keep doing that I’ll never get us in this room.”
He took the key from your hand, but didn’t stop kissing your neck. You closed your eyes in pleasure as he did, letting him take over the door situation, and in a frustratingly short amount of time, you heard the door knob turn. Your eyes snapped open, turning in Tyler’s arms to find him smirking at you again.
“How the hell did you do that so easily?” You asked, weaving your arms around his neck as he carefully backed you into the room.
He shrugged, shutting the door behind him. “Guess you were just too distracted to focus.”
You playfully glared at him, “I was not-” but you let out a gasp as he suddenly spun you around, pinning you to the door with his body.
He didn’t say anything for a moment, just smiling at you as his hands rested on your hips, his thumbs brushing under your shirt to touch heated skin. “You were, but it’s okay. I liked it.”
Well he had certainly become more confident in the years apart. Not that he ever wasn’t, but you could definitely tell a difference. However, you had gained a little bit of confidence too, and you smirked at him. “Oh, I can tell.” You replied, pushing your hips forward to press against the hardness you felt.
Tyler bit his lip at your movements, his hands gripping your hips harder. “We don’t have to do anything. I want you to know that.”
It drove you crazy, how he could go from being sexy and confident to sweet and respectful within a minute. You slid your arms up his chest and around his neck, tugging his head down to yours. “I want to.” You told him. “Do you?”
He let out a breathless chuckle, “You have no idea how badly I want to.” Tyler said, “I’ve wanted to since the moment I saw you at that gas station.” He told you, his nose brushing against yours.
Tyler had been wanting to get together with you for that long? Your heart started thumping wildly in your chest, and you let out a sigh as his warm hand slipped up the back of your shirt pressing you against him. “You know, I don’t look the same as I did ten years ago.” You admitted, a little bit of insecurity leaking out as you thought about the last time the two of you were together.
He shook his head, and his hands left a trail of heat as they slid down your back to grip your thighs. “You look better.”
Your hands slipped into his soft hair. “Now, I know that’s not true.”
You let out a nose of surprise as Tyler used his grip on your thighs to lift you into the air with his body, smirking up at you. “I think you’re forgetting . . .” His lips found a spot on your neck that he had always kissed, a spot that made chills explode over your body and made a soft moan leave your lips. “I know this body better than anyone.” He whispered in your ear.
Tyler was right. He had been with you more than anyone else, seen every part of you bare. So what if you didn’t look the same as you did in high school. You were sure he didn’t either. Based on what you felt against your body though, you didn’t think that was a bad thing. You let your hands trail from his hair down his neck and to his chest, noting how his body flexed under your touch. “I think I might need a refresher on yours.” You teased, biting your lip as you played with the buttons on his shirt.
He raised his eyebrows, a smirk on his lips. “Oh, is that what you need?”
With fingers that were much steadier than what you felt, you unbuttoned a couple of the top buttons from his shirt. It wasn’t much, but enough to slip your hands into and touch his heated skin. It was the first time you had touched him, really touched him, in so long, and it made you ache for so much more. You pressed your forehead against his, “Right now I need everything you’re willing to give me.” You admitted honestly.
“Well then,” Tyler’s hands slid down to your ass, holding you close as he started carrying you to the bed. “It’s a good thing I’m willing to give you everything.” He said as he placed you gently on the bed.
His words made your heart stop for a second and a huge swell of affection for him filled your heart. You wanted to tell him that you still loved him then. That you wanted to give him everything too. The words wouldn’t come though. Not yet anyway.
So instead, you tried to say them with a kiss. You sat up, grabbing his face in your hands, and tugged him down to meet your lips. The first time you had surprised him, and it took him a moment to respond. That was not the case this time. He kissed you back at once, moving your lips in a dance the two of you knew well. While the first kiss had been sweet, this one was full of passion and tenderness. You let out a little sigh when his lips parted and attempted to pull him closer. It had been so long since you had gotten to really touch him, and you didn’t want to waste another second not doing it.
He complied, climbing into the bed on top of you, settling between your thighs and letting out a strangled groan as you pushed your hips up into him. He pressed his own against yours and you let out your own moan at the delicious friction.
The sound made him pull away however, and you frowned, since that was the opposite of what you wanted right now. You watched him as he sat up, his gaze traveling over your body with such intensity you could feel your face heating up. Tyler’s hands rested on your stomach finally, tugging up your tank top so slowly it made you want to just yank it off yourself so his hands could be all over you. Waiting turned out to be worth it though, because as soon as your shirt was off, he started kissing down your neck. Your eyes closed as his lips went lower, and you arched your chest against his mouth as he got closer to one of the spots you wanted his mouth the most.
“Have you been with other guys?”
That made your eyes snap open. Those were not the words you expected to come out of his mouth when he was about two seconds away from putting his mouth around you. “W-What?” You said breathlessly.
But he didn’t seem upset or anything, just genuinely curious. In fact he was grinning at you, his hands resting on your bare hips. “It’s been ten years. You have, right?”
“Is now really the time for the, ‘how many people have you slept with since me?’ conversation?” You asked, raising your eyebrows at him.
Tyler leaned down, pressing his lower body against yours again as his lips hovered over yours. “I don’t care about the number.” He said, shaking his head. “I just want you to know I’m about to kiss the memory of anyone else from your body.”
His words took your breath from your lungs, but you tried not to let him see how much they affected you. Your arms slipped around his neck, fingers sliding into his hair. “You’re talking a lot of game for someone who hasn’t initiated a single kiss.” You teased.
He chuckled, close enough that his lips brushed yours for the briefest moment. “Isn’t it better if you have to wait for it?”
A soft smile fell on your face then as you ran your fingers through his hair. “Ty, you haven’t kissed me in ten years. Haven’t we waited long enough?”
He leaned back so he could look at your face, smiling at the look you were giving him. “Yeah. I think we have.”
Finally, he leaned forward and kissed you, setting your whole body on fire with the intensity of it. Your lips parted almost immediately, and his tongue slipped into your mouth, exploring you thoroughly. His hands did the same, heat trailing after them everywhere he touched.
You knew then, as the two of you kissed and your body, and heart, felt close to combustion, that this was it for you. You had been with other men in your time apart, and none of them had ever come close to making you feel like this. Back when you and Tyler had first started dating, you thought he might have been the one, but now you were sure. So no matter what happened tomorrow, or even after that, you knew that Tyler Owens was going to be it for you.
To your shock and surprise, you didn’t find that scary at all.
A breathless sigh left your lips as he slowly pulled away, and he smiled down at you, brushing some hair out of your face. “God you’re beautiful.”
You had always remembered what he was like in bed, how sweet he could be, but hearing it again was a different story. He had always made you feel so comfortable and sexy, you were so glad to know that none of that had changed. “I missed you.” You blurted out, heat rushing to your face at the confession.
But his smile just widened, leaning down to press a kiss against your jaw. “You’ve got no idea . . .” He started kissing down your neck again. “How much I’ve missed you,” he said, and you couldn’t help but squirm a little as he kissed down your stomach, your breath coming a little faster as his kisses got lower and lower. Your hands tangled into his hair, biting your bottom lip and arching up into his hand as he started unbuttoning your jeans.
You lifted your hips as he slid your jeans and underwear down the rest of your body, casting them aside somewhere in the room. You didn’t really care where. Tyler kissed back up your body, pausing for a moment on your bra, the last article of clothing you were wearing. After giving him an encouraging nod, he unclasped it, tossing it somewhere too, leaving you completely naked.
He stared at you, and you felt heat following everywhere his gaze went. His gaze didn’t make you uncomfortable though, it made you feel . . . Desirable. While his eyes looked you over, your eyes watched his face, biting your lip as your hands slid up and down his arms. “You know you’re wearing too many clothes.”
Tyler grinned down at you. “You wanna help with that?”
You sat up then, returning his smile. “I would love to.” You took your time, slowly unbuttoning his shirt and taking in every bit of skin that was revealed. Tyler had been fit when the two of you were dating, but now? He looked like he’d come straight out of a magazine. Once his shirt was unbuttoned, you let your hands trail down his chest as you leaned forward to press a kiss to his neck. You felt his whole body relax as your hands slid back up his hard muscles to push his shirt off him, and you trailed your lips across his shoulder and down his arm.
As soon as his shirt was off him, you made your way back up his arm, pressing gentle kisses every few inches until you reached his face again. He was smiling at you, and you couldn’t help but press a peck against his lips, then another until he had his arms wrapped tightly around you, holding you against his warm chest. Letting out a sigh, you kept your forehead against his for a second, soaking the moment in.
“I never thought we’d be here again.” Tyler said, shaking his head as his hand dragged up and down your bare back.
“Me either.” You admitted, letting one of your hands comb through his soft blonde hair, “but I’m glad we are.”
Tyler didn’t say anything, but leaned forward to meet you in a kiss that said everything he needed to. It told you how much he missed you, the familiarity of his lips moving in rhythm with yours. It told you how badly he wanted you when his tongue slipped into your mouth to caress your own. Then his lips weren’t the only thing showing how much he cared as he gently laid you down on the bed, never letting your lips disconnect.
It was illogical, but you hoped his lips never left you again. You were drowning, no, floating in him, submerged but safe in the warmth of him as his body laid on top of yours. Your legs automatically wrapped around his hips, and a moan left your lips as the two of you came into contact.
Tyler pulled away then, but he didn’t go far, leaving kisses down your chin and neck. “You keep making noises like that, and this is not going to last as long as I want it to.”
You let out a breathless laugh, tugging at his hair. “The noises are your fault, Owens. You’re the one with no-” you let out a gasp as his lips found your breast, pleasure burning straight to your core. “-Self control.” You panted.
He gave your nipple a gentle bite, causing you to whimper, before he pulled away to look up at you. “Sorry, what was that about self control?” Tyler asked with a smirk playing on his lips.
“That you have none.” You said, arching your hips up to rub against him for a moment, making him groan against your skin. “But I don’t think I have any either when it comes to you.”
His smirk turned into a smile, and his lips found your breast again, immediately shooting even more pleasure through your body.
Nobody really talks about what it’s like to have sex with someone you used to date years ago. Tyler knew your body so well, he knew exactly how you liked to be touched, and what spots would drive you crazy. It was so easy to fall back into it. On top of that though, the two of you had been with other people in the last few years, and you had more experience and confidence than the kids you used to be.
There was no hesitation in Tyler’s hands as they explored your body, and none in yours as one dragged down his back and the other tangled in his hair, holding him against you. You let out another moan as his hand moved from your inner thigh and a finger slid inside of you.
He let out another groan as he discovered how wet you were, and leaned up to press his forehead against yours as he added a second finger in. “Are you already ready for me, sweetheart?”
You nodded, bumping your nose against his. “Do you have a condom? I wasn’t anticipating-”
“Having sex with your ex-boyfriend in a motel room?” Tyler grinned as he reached into the back pocket of the jeans you forget he was still wearing and pulled out his wallet, reaching in to take out a condom. “Guess it’s a good thing I’m always prepared.” He said with a smirk.
You rolled your eyes playfully, but secretly you’d never been more thankful. If the two of you had to stop now to run out and buy condoms, you might’ve lost your mind. You slid your hands down his well defined chest, biting your lip at the muscles you felt there before stopping to rest on the belt of his jeans. “You’re still wearing too many clothes though.” You reminded him.
“Weren’t you supposed to be helping me with that?” He asked, raising an eyebrow at you.
Narrowing your eyes at him, you started undoing his belt. “It’s not my fault you distracted me with how hot you are.”
He laughed, moving your hands out of the way to get his jeans off faster. “Why do you think I got your clothes off so fast? Can’t get distracted if they’re already off.”
“Guess I’ll just have to remember that for next time.” You teased, sliding your hands back up his chest to rest on his shoulders. It was only when his body froze that you realized what you said. The two of you stared at each other, and you had no clue what to say about your implication of a next time. You didn’t even know if he’d want a next time . . .
Tyler didn’t let the moment linger though. He shoved the rest of his clothes off and leaned down to kiss you, hard, and all consuming in a way that erased every thought from your head except how much you needed him. Your legs wrapped around his waist, and you let out a gasp as your hips came into contact.
You had forgotten how big he was.
Almost as if sensing your thoughts, he pulled away slowly from your lips, barely leaving a centimeter between them as his finger trailed up and down your slit for a moment. “You can take it. You’ve done it before.” He whispered, and then slipped three fingers inside of you. The sudden intrusion sent your nails digging into his shoulders and heat exploding across your body. “If you can take that, you can take me.” He assured you, pressing a soft kiss to your lips.
He was going to ruin you. Part of you thought he already had, since every other time you’d had sex, he was always on your mind, but now you were sure of it. Nobody was ever going to get you more turned on than Tyler Owens. You nodded, because it seemed like he was waiting for an acknowledgment, and attempted to pull him closer with your legs when his fingers slid out of you. “It’s just - it’s been a while.” You admitted.
Tyler gave you a gentle smile. “For me too.”
His words shocked you for a second, but then you realized they shouldn’t have. Tyler had never been a one night stand kinda guy. As confident as he was, even before the two of you had started dating, he’d only ever dated girls he felt a genuine connection with. The fact that he still felt that with you enough to want to do this had emotions clogging up your throat. You let your hands trail down his body again, taking the condom from his hand and slipping it on him, your gaze never leaving his face as you enjoyed the sight of his reaction to you touching him. “Then let’s not wait anymore.” You said, guiding him towards you.
He didn’t need any more encouragement. He pressed forward, and you let out a sigh as he slipped inside of you, your head falling back against the pillow. It was a tight fit, there was no doubt, but he moved slowly, showing, once again, how well he knew your body. Any time you tensed up, he paused, though you could feel by how tense his muscles were how much he was holding back. “That’s right,” he would tell you when your breath started to come faster. “Remember how well you take me?”
Oh God you did. He fit inside of you like no one else. Even years later he filled you up just enough to not be painful, but more than enough to be satisfying. Another gasp of air left your lips as he pushed more inside of you, and you could tell he was almost completely in.
“You’re doing such a good job.” Tyler said, leaving another kiss against your skin. “Made just for me.” And while his voice was soft, it was also strained from effort.
You opened your eyes as you felt him push forward again, and dug your nails into where they had rested on his shoulders once more as he pushed completely inside of you, letting out a sigh of pleasure as he did.
There was nothing like this. Absolutely nothing. You moved your eyes from the ceiling to find him looking at you like you’d just hung each star in the sky for him alone. “Tell me what you’re thinking.” He said breathlessly.
Did he really expect you to be able to think right now? You couldn’t think enough to have a filter if you opened your mouth, and you knew that was partially what he wanted. So you let the words slip from your lips. “I’m thinking about how no ones ever felt as good as you do.” He rewarded your words with a little thrust of his hips that had you gasping. “I’m thinking about how you’ve ruined me for anyone else.” Another thrust, this one harder, and you tightened your legs around him. “And I’m thinking about how much I missed you, Ty.” You said softly, letting out a whimper as his hand slid up to your breast, cupping it and letting his thumb caress your nipple.
He didn’t say anything for a moment. Just watching as your hips jerked against his, desperate for the pleasure only he could provide, his eyes locked on your face as if he was committing it to memory. “Would you believe me if I told you I was thinking about all those things too?”
You didn’t have to think about it. You nodded, moving your hands from his shoulders to tangle in his hair. “I know.”
Tyler leaned down to meet your lips in a bruising kiss as he thrust inside of you, starting a slow and steady pace that continued to pick up speed with every passing minute until you couldn’t keep up the kiss any longer. Your head fell back against the pillows, and your eyes closed in pleasure as his warm, calloused hand traveled down your body to where the two of you met. “Eyes on me sweetheart.” He said, and pressed his thumb against your clit.
“Fuck, Ty!” Your eyes snapped open and your chest arched into his, tugging on his hair at the overstimulating sensation. His hips stuttered for a moment as you felt yourself clench around him, but he kept up the movement of his thumb, tracing circles around it. The pleasure was almost too much. You could feel it building inside of you, desperate for release, and you clung tightly to him. “I can’t- I’m-” You couldn’t even get the words out, too overwhelmed with feelings.
“It’s okay, you can let go.” He said, “I’ve got you.” He assured you, never ceasing his pace or his finger.
His words triggered your release, almost as if you’d been waiting for permission and you moaned out his name as it washed over you. You clung to him like he was a liferaft, holding you in above water as you clenched around him. You heard him groan your name, saying how good you were, and within seconds you felt his body tense, falling over the edge with you.
As the pleasure faded from your body to satisfaction, you didn’t want to let him go and groaned in discontent when he pulled back and out of you. He chuckled and leaned down to press a soft kiss to your forehead. “I’ll be right back.”
You sighed, opening your eyes as you watched him head into the bathroom, unable to believe that you had just had sex with such an attractive man, even if he was your ex. He was more than an attractive man though, or just your ex. He was Tyler. The boy you gave your heart to ten years ago who never gave it back. A tender smile was on your lips as he came back to you with a damp washcloth and started gently cleaning you up.
“You okay?” He asked, the hand that wasn’t cleaning you up resting on your thigh and rubbing the skin there.
“I will be once you get back in bed.” You replied, and your smile widened at the pleased expression on his face. You let out a laugh as he tossed the washcloth aside and hurriedly climbed into bed, spooning you against his back.
He nuzzled into your neck, leaving kisses against your skin as he made himself comfortable against you, and shivers exploded across your body as his hand rested on your stomach. “Comfortable?” Tyler asked, pressing another kiss to your cheek.
Being in his arms again? Comfortable didn’t even begin to describe it. As cliche and embarrassing as it sounded, for the first time since you’d come to your hometown, you actually felt like you were home. “Perfect,” you replied, scooting back even more into him.
And you meant it.
————————
You woke up cold, but oh so satisfied. Part of you wondered if last night had been a dream, but you knew that your body couldn’t lie like that. You definitely had the post sex ache. You stretched your limbs out and rolled over, wanting to curl back into Tyler and maybe sleep for a few more hours, but you were met with nothing but sheets.
Frowning, you opened your eyes, letting your fingers drag across the fabric. It was cool, so he’d been gone for a while. It was only when your eyes drifted up to the pillow did you notice the scrap of paper.
Stay.
It was written quickly, almost as if an afterthought, and you frowned at it. Did he really think that he had to ask? You got out of bed, and found a tshirt in the floor. Slipping on your underwear and the tshirt, you sat down at the small table and grabbed your laptop. You’d been writing like crazy lately on a new book, and you’d definitely woken up feeling inspired this morning.
You weren’t sure how long you sat there typing. It was a great distraction from your thoughts, and when you got into the zone, it could be hours before you realized you hadn’t stood up from your chair. You weren’t so in the zone though that you didn’t hear the doorknob start to turn.
Tyler entered, once again looking entirely too good in his dark brown button down, jeans and cowboy hat. He carried a familiar brown bag and cup of iced coffee in his hand and held a cautious smile as he looked at you. “Brought you some breakfast.”
You held out your hands to take it from him, eagerly sipping at the iced coffee as he sat down at the seat across from you. “Thank you, I needed this.” You said, leaning back against your chair. He was watching you, that cautious look still on his face making you nervous. Was he regretting last night? Was he trying to figure out the polite way to tell you it had all been a mistake?
“What are you thinking?” He asked, and the sudden question threw you off, you didn’t even have the chance to think about throwing up a filter.
“I’m thinking that I hope you’re not regretting last night. I’m also thinking that you’re too far away.” You admitted, frowning at the distance between the two of you.
His whole body seemed to relax at your words and the smile that you knew and loved fell back onto his face. He held out his hand to you, and without hesitation you took it, returning his smile as he tugged you out of your chair to sit sideways across his lap. You buried your face in his neck, letting out a contented sigh as he wrapped his arms around you, and held you close. “Better?” Tyler asked, one of his hands tracing up and down your outer thigh.
You nodded, tightening your arms around him. “Much better.”
The two of you sat in silence for a few moments. You knew the conversation that needed to be had, but you had no clue how to even begin to start it. Should you blurt out how you feel? Should you ask him how he was feeling? Tyler beat you to the punch though with a statement that stopped your mind in its tracks.
“I read your book.”
Your body froze as your brain took a moment to process his words. Once they did, heat rushed to your face, and you pulled away to look at him. “How did you even-”
“Boone. He gave me a copy pretty much right after you showed up.” He said, and his hand gave your thigh a squeeze. “I noticed some . . . Similarities.”
You bet he did. More than enough to be embarrassing. You bit your lip, knowing the question that he wanted to ask, and decided to go ahead and give him the option to ask it anyway. “What do you want to know?” You finally said.
For a moment it wasn’t the new Tyler that you’d been getting to know over the past couple of weeks that was looking at you. The confident, caring, intelligent tornado wrangler. It was young Tyler, the bull rider who wanted nothing more than to ride his fears and bring you along for it. “I guess I’m just wondering why they got their happy ending, and we didn’t.”
Just because you anticipated it, doesn’t mean it hurt any less. “Ty . . .” You placed your hand on top of his, gripping it in yours. “I wrote that book two years after our breakup. I wasn’t ready to be her then. There were . . .” You took a deep breath. “A lot of things I was still holding onto.”
“But if I had quit when you asked me to-”
You were shaking your head before he could even finish his sentence. “I never should have asked you to do that.” You let go of his hand to take his face in your hands to encourage him to keep his eyes on you. “Tyler, our breakup had absolutely everything to do with me, and nothing to do with you.” This confession had been sitting on the tip of your tongue for years now, and you finally had the courage to say it. “I looked at you, riding those bulls, and all I could see was my dad. It scared me.” You admitted, caressing his cheek with your thumb. “Drunk, constantly concussed, and soon to be dead either from one or the other. I know that’s not you now, and I should’ve known it back then, but I was too damaged.”
Tyler looked sad, his hand still caressing your skin. “I would have fought for you.”
“I know.” You said, and you did. You knew that Tyler would have fought to stay by your side until the end if you hadn’t pushed him away.
“You were everything to me back then.”
God it hurt. Remembering the look on his face when you had walked out that door. You still had nightmares about it, but like you had struggled to learn, there was nothing you could do about it now. The two of you sat there for a moment before you finally got the courage to ask the question you’d been wanting to. “What about now?” You asked. “Think we can make it?”
A small, disbelieving smile formed on his face. “Is that an option?”
You nodded. “At least I hope it is. That ball’s in your court Tyler Owens. I’m the one that broke your heart.” You said, sliding a hand down to rest over his heart. “So . . . is that an option?” You asked, biting your lip as your heart started thumping heavily against your chest. God what if you’d just said all that and spent the best night of your life with him for Tyler to say it wasn’t worth the risk? That’d you’d done damage beyond repair?
Tyler didn’t give you time for your thoughts to get any more out of control. “Oh, it’s definitely an option.” He said, and his bright smile had your heart fluttering. “In fact, I’d say it’s my preferred option.”
You could barely believe it, even after last night. “You really want to give me a second chance?” You asked in disbelief.
His smile turned soft, and his hand covered your own on his chest. “Sweetheart, I’d give you all the chances in the world.”
And then, because you didn’t know what else to say, you leaned forward and kissed him.
Once again, everything was the same, but somehow different. A better different.

NYE KISS ⋆.ೃ࿔*:・
pairing: bf!rafe x fem!reader
warnings: new established relationship, slight angst, lost of fluff, kissing, rafe being a cutiepie
Tumblr media
Rafe stood on the balcony of Tannyhill, his breath visible in the cold night air. He fiddled with the beer bottle in his hand, not really drinking it, just holding it to ease his nerves. The New Year’s party was in full swing inside, the music and laughter spilling out into the night, but Rafe wasn’t paying attention to any of it. His eyes kept drifting toward you.
You stood near the fire pit, face glowing in the flickering light. You were laughing at something Wheezie had said, head tilted back, and Rafe felt his chest tighten. You had a way of making him feel special, like his world was steady when you smiled at him.
You caught his gaze, and your smile softened. You excused yourself and walked over to him, little heels clinking on the wooden floor. “Hiding out again?” You teased gently, tugging your hands underneath your arms. Rafe shrugged, a crooked grin tugging at his lips. “Just needed some air.”
You gave him a knowing look but didn’t press. Instead, you stepped closer, the faint scent of your vanilla perfume making his heart race. “You know, it’s almost midnight,” you mumbled, voice light but your eyes searching his. “Big moment and all.”
Rafe swallowed, his grip tightening on the bottle. He’d thought about this moment all week—whether to kiss you at midnight, if you even wanted him to. You’d been together for a few weeks now, but he still couldn’t believe you were with him. You were too good, too kind.
“Yeah,” he said, his voice rougher than he intended. “Guess it is.”
The countdown started inside, the voices growing louder with each number. Rafe glanced toward the house, his nerves threatening to get the best of him. But then you reached out, your fingers brushing his arm, grounding him.
“Hey,” you said softly, drawing his attention back to you. “You okay?”He nodded, though he wasn’t sure he was. “I just… I don’t wanna screw this up.” You tilted your head, eyes warm and reassuring. “You won’t,” you said simply, as if it were the most obvious thing in the world.
The final seconds of the countdown echoed through the night.
“Ten… nine… eight…”
Rafe’s heart pounded in time with the chant, his eyes locked on yours.
“Seven… six… five…”
You stepped closer, your breath mingling with his in the cold night air.
“Four… three… two…”
And then, as the shouts of “Happy New Year!” erupted inside, you were the first to lean in and kiss him.
The world went quiet. For a moment, it was just you—your lips soft against his, hands lightly resting on his chest. Rafe let the beer bottle slip from his fingers, wrapping his arms around you instead, holding you like you were the only thing keeping him sane, which was definitely the case.
When you finally pulled back, you were smiling, cheeks flushed and heart pounding in your chest. “See?” You said, “Not so hard.”
Rafe laughed, the sound coming from somewhere deep in his chest. “Guess not,” he admitted, his forehead resting against yours.
For a moment, you just stood there, wrapped in each other and the magic of the moment. But then, Rafe couldn’t help himself. The happiness bubbling inside him was too much to contain. He leaned in again, pressing a soft, quick kiss to your lips. And then another. And another.
You couldn’t help but giggle, hands rubbing lightly over his shoulders as he peppered you with kisses, his grin growing wider with each one. “Rafe!” You laughed, though you didn’t stop him.
“I can’t help it,” he said between pecks, his voice filled with a joy he hadn’t felt in years. “You’re too perfect.”
Your laughter softened into a sweet smile, and you reached up to cup his face, thumb brushing his cheek. “You’re ridiculous,” you murmured, though your eyes sparkled with affection. You were so in love with this guy.
“Yeah, ridiculously obsessed with you,” he teased, his forehead pressing against yours once more.
You didn’t argue. Instead, you pulled him in for one more lingering kiss, sealing the promise of the year ahead—a year you’d face together, no matter what.

A Long Road
Summary: Logan, old and insecure, finds comfort in the warmth of his younger girlfriend despite whispers of doubt from others.
(Oldman!Logan Howlett x Younger!Gf-Reader)
Tumblr media
Logan’s POV
The coffee shop wasn’t too crowded, but it wasn’t empty, either. Enough people for a few glances to find their way over to us—for the murmurs, the curious looks.
I sat across from her, trying to look comfortable while stirring a cup of black coffee that’d gone cold ages ago. She had some fancy latte with cinnamon sprinkled on top—whatever they do to drinks now—and damn if it didn’t suit her. That sweet, new taste on her lips seemed right. Meanwhile, there I was, sticking to my usual, too set in my ways to try anything else.
But that wasn’t what was getting to me. It was the people. Or maybe it was just me. Seeing the way they looked at her, then looked at me, wondering what the hell she was doing here with a guy like me.
Some guy at a corner table gave me a quick up-and-down glance, as if he thought I wouldn’t notice. The words nearly spilled out, some snap about minding his own business. But she was scanning the pastry menu, her eyes bright, so I bit it back. Didn’t want to wreck her day.
“Babe, you wanna try one of these?” she asked, her finger tracing the list of pastries. There was a glint in her eye, all excitement over something simple—an apple twist or whatever fancy name it had.
I forced a smile, grumbling under my breath. “Eh, coffee’s enough for me, sweetheart.”
She just laughed, nudging her coffee cup forward, insisting. “Come on. Live a little. It’s apple cinnamon. You might like it.”
I rolled my eyes but took a reluctant sip, letting the cinnamon and sugar coat my mouth. It was...fine, but it wasn’t me. I grunted in approval, handing the cup back, catching her watching me like she found it all adorable or something. I tried to act casual, but it only made me feel more... out of place.
Across the room, two people whispered, stealing glances our way. Couldn’t hear what they were saying, but I could guess. ‘Serious? Those two? Must be her dad. No way they’re together.’ Their words hung in the air, even if they hadn’t said a damn thing.
“Hey, uh...maybe we should get outta here,” I mumbled, tugging my jacket off the back of my chair, feeling the worn leather under my fingers. This place was starting to feel too damn small.
She looked up, confused but gentle. “You okay?”
“Yeah, yeah, just... too many people.” I forced a shrug, standing up and trying to shake off the irritation clawing at me.
We headed out into the cool evening air, her arm brushing against mine as we walked. For a second, it felt good—free, just us. But as soon as we stepped inside the apartment, something in me cracked wide open. I shut the door, staring at the floor. Couldn’t bring myself to look at her, couldn’t explain the feeling clawing its way up my chest.
“What’s wrong, babe?” she asked, her voice soft as she set her keys down, coming closer.
My throat tightened. I couldn’t look her in the eye. “You know, I’m almost two hundred, sweetheart. And I look every year of it.” My voice came out rougher than I wanted, almost a whisper. “People look at us, and they think...”
She reached up, placing her hands on either side of my face, thumbs brushing over the lines and scars. The worn edges, the parts of me that looked like they’d been through hell and back. “Let them think what they want. It’s just noise, Logan.”
I let out a laugh, bitter and hollow. “Noise, huh? Well, that noise gets pretty damn loud sometimes.” My voice broke, my hand coming up to grip her wrist, holding onto her like she was the only solid thing in my world. “I mean, hell...if this is how they act when we’re just dating, what’re they gonna say if I...if I ever asked you to marry me?”
She didn’t flinch. Instead, she leaned closer, so damn calm, brushing her lips over my forehead. “Logan, I don’t care what they say. I’m here with you. I chose you.”
Those words broke something in me, something buried so damn deep it hadn’t seen daylight in decades. Before I knew it, my throat tightened, my eyes burning with something I hadn’t felt in years. I closed my eyes, letting her hold me, feeling the steady beat of her heart as I let the tears fall.
After a moment, I pulled back, taking her face in my hands, my thumbs tracing along her cheekbones, rough and calloused.
“I’m gonna mess this up, you know,” I muttered, trying to manage a half-smile, the sarcasm slipping out of habit. “Gonna scare you off with all this old-man crap.”
She smirked, wrapping her arms around my neck. “Then you better hold on to me tight, ‘cause I’m not going anywhere.”
I kissed her, slow, letting myself feel every second, every taste of that damn cinnamon latte still lingering on her lips. Holding her like she was the one damn thing keeping me together.

2. Rafe x innocent (and kinda naive/ airhead?) reader where reader and rafe are dating (still very new) and reader keeps reminding him she wants to wait longer (when they are making out/feeling each other up) and he keeps trying to go further, so he tells/manipulates her that it’s not normal for girls to not want to go further and something could be wrong, so he “checks” her (rubbing her clit and fingering her) and asking things like “does that feel good?” “Doesn’t that make you want more?” “Something probably is wrong if you want me to stop”, just so he can convince her to say she wants more (so then he fucks her).
-💎
ur asks have me going FERAL. your brain is so beautiful and it must be treasured and protected at all costs. i actually hate the way i wrote this but i was too far in to change it by the time i realised i didn’t like it😒😒 nevertheless, this is a long one guys so buckle up!! (1.5k words!!!😱😱)
₊♡₊˚ 🎀・₊✧
you and rafe had only been dating for a few weeks, relationships were pretty much a whole new thing for you since your upbringing hadn’t really allowed it. you hadn’t had sex before, ever. and rafe wasn’t going to be patient for much longer, the furthest you two had went is making out, when it got heated you pulled back.. pushing him away and saying you didn’t feel well.
rafe was getting desperate, you didn’t even realise what you did to him. he was painfully hard most of the time since you were oblivious to how sexual you were being. such as bending over right infront of his face, showing him your cutesy pink panties or accidentally grinding against his cock when you squeezed past him in the kitchen. rafes frustration was at its peak and he couldn’t take it any longer.
rafe stretched his arm around your waist as you both lay in bed watching tv, biting his lip in thought before reaching out to grip your jaw gently, turning you to face him. he leant forward, catching your lips in a deep kiss, it didn’t take long knowing rafe before it got heated, as his tongue began battling your own for dominance you pulled away, taking deep breaths as you stared up at him with big innocent eyes.
“what’s wrong, pretty girl?” he muttered, lifting his thumb to wipe his drool from your mouth.
“n-nothing rafe, i just.. i don’t… i can’t go any further with you, i-i don’t think i’m ready for that.” rafe’s patience was out of the window by now, all rational thoughts evaporating as his cock grew harder, straining against his pants, desperate to be inside your sweet cunt.
“baby…” he sighed. “this isn’t normal.”
you stared at him with a confused expression, your eyebrows knitted. “i-i don’t understand, did i do something?”
he was quick to shut that thought down “no, no, no, my sweet girl, it’s more about what you didn’t do. see, other girls your age…they love being good for their daddy’s, and i just don’t think you are being good f’ me.” tears began to whell up in your eyes, his negative feedback not sitting right in your stomach. “daddy?” you questioned gently, your bottom lip wobbling.
“yeah, i’m your daddy, baby. and i think it’s about time you start calling me that. it’s true, no? i take care of you, i feed you, pay for your clothes, hell, i even take you to the bathroom. i may aswell be your daddy, so that’s what your gonna’ call me from now on, you got that?” he speaks softly, not wanting to discourage you or push you further away but needing to be firm enough so you understand. he’s testing the waters. seeing how easy it is to control your sweet mind in ways only a man like him could.
“i mean.. yeah, that-that makes sense i guess.”
a sly smile appears on his face, his thumb wiping a salty tear from your cheek “good girl.” he lifts your skirt with one hand, pushing into your panties and rubbing your clit, you gasp in surprise at the new sensation. “daddy! w-what are you doing?” you ask in shock.
rafe sighs “daddy needs to give you a check up baby, just to make sure nothin’s wrong. all i need to do is rub that sweet button of yours and fuck my fingers into your pretty pussy, mkay?” your cunt involuntarily clenches around nothing. “mkay, daddy.” you moan. rafes fingers stray from your clit to your entrance, his cock growing impeccably harder from the feel of your wetness, your pussy leaking around his hand.
“d-daddy, feels s’ good.” you whimper as he pushes his fingers into your hole, your walls clenching instinctively around his thick digits. “yeah? you like that? you like it when daddy fingers your sweet pussy?” he groan into your ear, sending shivers down your spine.
he picks up his pace, fingering you roughly until the knot in your stomach begins to tighten, you grab at his wrist, pushing him away, which doesn’t really do much since your strength is no match for his own. “daddy! stop, i-i think i’m gonna’ pee.” you whine, embarrassment flooding through your veins. your cheeks flushed from the humiliation.
he lets out a small laugh, his famous smirk still painted across his face “no baby, your not gonna’ pee.. your gonna’ cum. your gonna’ cum with my fingers deep inside your cunt. ask me. ask daddy for permission.” he growls, a flip switching inside his brain. “p-please daddy, make me cum, please can i cum? please please please.” you beg, tears streaming down your face as you try desperately to hold back.
“cum.”
he growls, watching as your legs begin to shake, your pussy sucking his fingers further into your cunt. you cry out as your body spasms, a thick creamy fluid leaking out of you and into rafes palm. “that’s it, let it all out. dirty fuckin’ girl. creaming all over your daddy’s fingers.”
your breathing begins to slow as you come down from your orgasm although rafe keeps his fingers deep inside your pussy, catching you in a deep kiss. he takes your hand in his own and leads it down towards his cock, making you instantly recoil. rafe lets out a mixed groan of annoyance and sigh of disappointment under his breath. you look towards the bed, feeling guilty as ever. he turns you to face him again, his pretty blues simmering in darkness. “listen. pretty baby, i was trying to be nice earlier but… i think there is something wrong with you. all the other girls your age wanna’ fuck daddy, so why don’t you? i’ve been so patient with you sweets but, the clock’s tickin’.”
rafes fingers begin to fuck into you once again at a rapid pace, your whimpers and cries filling the room as he fucks you with his fingers. “see? doesn’t that feel good? doesn’t that make you want more?” you nod your head, dazed with pleasure. not even fully understanding his questions. “good girl.” he mutters before taking his cock out of his pants, before you even realise whats happening, rafe had removed his fingers and crawled on top of you, pushing the mushroom tip of his swollen fat cock against your entrance.
your eyes burst open in shock at the feeling “wait, wait, wait, da-DADDY! Oh fuck!” you practically screamed as rafe bottomed out in your pussy with a single thrust. essentially, popping your cherry. his hand is quick to cover your mouth as he glares down at you from above. his sanity is long gone by now, the crazed look on his face scaring you into submission.
“shut the fuck up. i-i’m done playing games now. your gonna’ shut your pretty little mouth and-and daddy’s gonna’ fuck your cunt until he cums deep inside you, okay?” you didn’t respond seeming as his hand was covering your mouth.
he lifted his palm from your mouth before quickly striking you across the face, you cried out as your skin began to fluster due to the impact of his hit. he swiftly gripped your jaw making you look him in the eyes once more “you-you fuckin’ answer me when i’m talkin’ to you. you nod your fuckin’ head when daddy asks you a question.” this time you were quick to nod your head, tears streaming down your cheeks as you sobbed a “y-yes daddy.”
if anything they just seemed to turn rafe on even more. “good… good girl.” he groaned before pummelling his cock further into your cunt, he began thrusting at a rapid pace, fucking you so hard the headboard began to bash against the wall. your screams of pleasure probably being heard for miles. “ohhhh shit, you see that, you fuckin’ slut?” he pointed your face towards where your cunt and his cock connected, a pool of pink cream surrounding the base of his cock, a mixture of blood and cum. you were too far gone to talk at this point, moans and whimpers spilling out of your lips as you simply nodded your head, your eyes rolling back.
“fuck i can’t believe you tried to hide this shit from me, tried to hide how much of a greedy fuckin’ cock slut you are. it’s okay though baby, daddy loves when you turn into a desperate little whore. gonna’ have you writhing on this fat cock every day of the week from now on.”

𝐂𝐑𝐔𝐒𝐇
synopsis: wriothesley finds out you have a crush on someone and somehow manages to guess it’s on literally everyone but himself
characters: wriothesley x gn!reader
wc: 1.4k
warnings: fluff, a tiny pinch of angst and insecurity, my poor attempt at humor, slight miscommunication, friends to lovers, coworkers to lovers, swearing, first time writing for wriothesley so he might be ooc
notes: i almost made this angst to fluff but then decided i need to stop adding angst into literally everything i write (even though there’s like a tiny pinch of angst in here too 🙄). anyway, wriothesley is a lot harder to write than i thought he would be so i apologize if he seems ooc here
Tumblr media
“Heard you gotta crush on someone,” Wriothesley teases as he walks into his office where you sit on one of his couches. You don’t even hear him walk in, too engaged in the book you were reading to pass time until you had to go through hundreds of inmate records to find something Neuvillette had requested.
His declaration is so sudden it almost makes you spit out the tea you had stolen from him.
Your eyes go wide as you stare at where he moves to lean against the front of his desk, arms crossed and waiting for an answer with that stupid smirk of his, “Hey now, that tea is expensive, so don’t go wasting it, okay?”
“Who told you about that?” you press for answers, a hint of anger in your voice as you ignore his previous statement about the tea. He had plenty to spare anyway.
Wriothesley’s smirk widens a bit, “So it is true.”
Damn him.
You don’t even bother trying to make an excuse, knowing your best friend all too well. He’d pick apart your words like weeds in a garden, finding meaning in them that you hadn’t even intended.
“And what if it is true?” you cross your arms defensively, glaring at him from across the room.
“At least tell me who it is,” he says as he rests his palms on the wooden desk behind him. When you don’t give in to his pleading, he playfully scoffs, “Oh c’mon, I’m your best friend! It’s kinda an obligation for you to tell me these things.”
You turn away, fixating your gaze on a nearby wall adorned with some weird painting he had hung awhile back, “Oh yeah? Since when? Last I checked there aren’t any rule books for being friends with someone. I don’t have to tell you a damn thing.”
“It’s Neuvillette, isn’t it?” he smiles knowingly. Perhaps that was why you were always the one receiving tasks from the Chief Justice instead of him — a guess at best, but enough evidence to convince him Neuvillette was the one.
No, you idiot. It’s you.
You snap your head back toward him, “What? No! I don’t like Neuvillette…not like that, at least. He’s nice and all, but I don’t think I’d be able to date the guy.”
“Damn, I really thought I had that one,” Wriothesley mumbles in defeat, pushing himself off the desk and instead moving to walk around the room as he thinks. It scares you. The fact that he’s so particular with facts and little details that it’s only a matter of time before he collects all the pieces to the puzzle and figures out he’s the one you like. What would he say when that happens? “Too nice, huh? So you like someone a little colder, then.”
Damn it, he got you again!
You don’t answer him.
“Not even going to try to deny it?”
“No,” you grumble to yourself, slumping further into the couch, “you’re only going to dig further anyway.”
He gives a satisfied hum, “Right, so it’s Clorinde then. I mean c’mon, we don’t get a lot of visitors, so it has to be her. She fits the description too.”
You exhaustedly sigh and swipe a hand over your face dramatically, done with his antics, “It’s not her either. And there is no ‘description.’”
He perks up in a way that makes you way too uncomfortable, “Navia?”
“No, I’ve never even met her aside from like one time two years ago,” you refute, sliding further down on the couch to fully lie down and shut your eyes, “I don’t get why you’re so excited over this.”
Wriothesley thinks for a moment before squinting his eyes, “Don’t tell me you have a crush on a prisoner?”
You teasingly peek an eye open while leaning back to look at him, “And if I did?”
“You better not,” he warns, pointing a stern finger at you like you were a prisoner and not his coworker.
You laugh to yourself at his sudden change of mood, “Relax, I was only joking!”
“Not funny,” he says unamused, prepared to pull out the prison’s rule book and slap it over your head if you did, “I’m really runnin’ out of people here.”
“Yeah, okay,” you say sarcastically, resisting the urge to roll your eyes, “thousands of people live in Fontaine. You’ll figure it out eventually.”
You really hope he doesn’t.
The following ten minutes consist of Wriothesley irritatingly pacing around the room and mumbling all sorts of names to himself. Some of which you recognized, others you had never even heard of before. And, despite all of your countless no’s to his guesses, he never gives up. Nor does he realize the answer is right in front of him.
“Just give it up already,” you finally interrupt as he stops in front of you.
A heavy sigh falls from Wriothesley’s lips as he collapses onto the couch, narrowly missing where your legs were outstretched. Defeatedly, he lays his head against the back of the sofa, shutting his eyes as he thinks a little harder. “Oh my god,” he says suddenly, head shooting up to look at you, “…don’t tell me.”
No way. Did he figure it out?
Your breath captures in your throat as his eyes flicker back and forth between your own, searching for some sort of truth. He knows. Your best friend knows that you have feelings for him — and not just the platonic kind.
His brows furrow and his face morphs into one of disgust. It makes your heart drop; the way he’s looking at you.
He doesn’t feel the same way.
“I can’t believe it,” he clicks his tongue in disgust, crossing his arms and turning his attention away from you, “you like Furina.”
Your jaw drops to the floor and suddenly you don’t feel bad anymore, “I actually can’t believe you just said that. Archons, I think you need to visit Sigewinne. I mean, seriously! Furina? Of all people!”
He grins and shrugs carelessly, “I don’t know? She was the last person I could think of.”
“Something is seriously wrong with you.”
“Clearly not so wrong that I couldn’t figure out that the person you actually like is me.”
“Oh please, I don’t even—wait, what? You knew?!”
A boisterous laugh erupts suddenly as you stare at him with wide eyes. You sit up on the couch quickly, slapping his shoulder as he continues to laugh, “Sorry, sorry!”
You don’t find it amusing, “I—when did you figure it out?”
His laugh eventually subsides into a drawn out sigh and his blue eyes soften a bit as they gaze into your own, “I’m not an idiot, you know? I wouldn’t be running this place if I was.”
“Right,” you mumble awkwardly, averting your gaze from his, “so, um, were you just doing all that to lighten the mood so you could let me down easily or…?”
“Or…what?” Wriothesley mocks you, a playful smirk pulling at his lips.
You roll your eyes with a scoff, “don’t make me say it.”
He spares you, luckily. It’s unlike him, but he doesn’t care to joke with you any longer when the subject is so serious, “Yes, I feel the same way. Is that what you wanted to hear?”
“No, I totally wanted to hear you say you hate me and want me dead,” you say sarcastically, trying to fight a smile.
“I’m being serious, I really do like you,” Wriothesley presses, ignoring the way you’re becoming awkward from the nervousness floating in the air.
You finally exhale the breath you had been guarding in your chest, relieved that this didn’t go as horribly as you once thought it would.
The alarm sounding for dinner goes off after and you both stand from your places on the couch, “So what do we do now that that’s out of the way?”
Wriothesley falls into step next to you, holding the doors to his office open to let you out first, “We have our first date in the cafeteria, of course.”
Your face drops and you stop in your tracks to glare at him, “That better be a joke.”
He laughs it off quickly, not thinking you’d take it so seriously. Eagerly, he grabs your hand tightly in his as he pulls you to the exit of the Fortress, “Relax, I’m just teasing you! You deserve only the best, after all.”
“You are so annoying.”
“Only for you, sweetheart.”

༊*·˚Wanna Be Your BFੈ✩‧₊˚
Tumblr media
syn. general boyfriend hcs
featuring: Oikawa, Semi, Sakusa, Kita, Ushijima, Kageyama, Osamu, Kuroo
a/n: this was supposed to be out months ago but someone...not to name names (AVE) didn't finish their half because it was too fluffy. So I just finished her half today <3 (love you Ave even if you can't write fluff /lh).
Tumblr media
Oikawa
Meet Cute or Not So Meet Cute?  - how you meet
Would WANT a meet cute
Does not get one lol
His alarm hadn’t gone off that morning and he was not leaving his hair unstyled so he was late (yikes)
To make it worse it had started raining, like full on downpour, puddles in the street
And poor you, you were just minding your business when he absolutely RUNS you over
Oikawa didn’t think today could get any worse, it seems he was proven wrong. Not only was he late for practice, it was also raining hard. He grabbed his jacket since he didn’t want to bother with an umbrella and raced out the door of his home. He stupidly thought that would be the worst of his problems. In his rush he didn’t see you walking calmly on the street.
Unlike Oikawa, you had the day off work and were fully intending on enjoying it even if it was awful weather. Unfortunately for you, your day out gets cut short as a stranger runs into you and your clothes get drenched as you fall in a puddle with a splash. Your umbrella is a few feet away from you, the stranger reaches down and grabs it for you as he puts it over your head again. It’s obvious that he’s sorry if the redness and grimace on his face have anything to say for it.
“I’m so sorry,” he says and for a minute your brain freezes as you look up at him. The man is gorgeous and his voice is even nicer. “Here, if you give me your phone I’ll put my number in and I’ll make it up to you, yeah?” Even though he was in a rush earlier he doesn’t like the idea of running away after he caused you to be drenched.
You hand him your phone and introduce yourself. “Y/N L/N, and I guess maybe a coffee would be acceptable,” you shrug. He shakes his head with a small smile and hands your phone back to you.
“Toru Oikawa, and a coffee? That’s all? At least let me get you a new outfit to make up for the one I destroyed.”
Somehow, someway you find him charming
He does in fact get you a new outfit despite your protests that it’s not necessary
He is more late to practice because of it but he finds himself not caring
So while it might not be a meet cute, it wasn’t that bad of a day
First Date  - your first date
I’m gonna be so fr right now
He’s basic
You’re going for coffee the day after he meets you
I hc that he doesn’t like the big coffee chains, you know just cause
He takes you to a cozy coffee shop, he takes you to a local place
VIBES??? IMMACULATE. Literally everyone knows everyone and they’re already making his drink when he walks in
First Kiss - your first kiss
It’s after your third date before he even asks
He’s been thinking about it since he accidentally knocked you over (yes the other seijoh boys mocked him and continue to mock him for it)
He walks you to your door and does that cliche thing where you guys just hold hands and look at each other
You say you should probably go inside and he’s like “Can I kiss you?”
You make him ask again before smiling and kissing him
He’s legit frozen after you walk inside and act like you didn’t just turn his world upside down
Jealous? - how they act when they’re jealous and if it’s easy for them to get jealous
Gets jealous so easy omg
The moment he catches a whiff of jealousy he’s attached to you
Full on arms around your waist and chin on your shoulder
Loudly introduces himself as your boyfriend
When you get home he gets all pouty and demands that you pay attention to him
Cute Things They Do - just small things they do that are endearing
Before he serves he has to find you in the crowd and see your smile because it “Clears his head”
Random gifts, not even like expensive ones all the time
Could literally be a rock he thought you would like or a flower he saw in the yard
Food fights when you try baking together. Like flour gets everywhere
You guys clean up together though which ends in a water fight
Puts sunscreen on you without you asking, like you guys leave the house and he has to stop you and be like “Hold on.” And just sprays it on your face and stuff, gives you a kiss after. (this is added here because I love him and I’m still reeling from an awful sunburn because my friend did in fact not put sunscreen on my back)
Rotating lockscreen but it’s always a photo of you
Either by yourself or the two of you together
Rambles about you to anyone who will listen
Semi
Meet Cute or Not So Meet Cute?  - how you meet
MEET CUTE-ish
It happens after he performs for the night
He just kinda wanders the bar he was playing at and when you come up to him telling him about how much you loved his song?
He’s gone, whipped for you
So while you’re maybe a little more drunk than you should be he asks you to dance
Leaves with a new number in his phone and a smile on his face after he orders an uber for you
Semi wipes his face with a towel to get rid of the sweat from performing under the bright lights. He walks over to the bar to grab a drink, that’s when he catches a glimpse of probably the most beautiful person he’s ever seen. They’re smiling and dancing without a care in the world, the almost empty drink in their hand probably responsible.
You set your drink on the table and that’s when you meet eyes with the cute musician that was performing earlier. Your friends tease you trying to push you towards him to get his number. And you do. You finish off your drink and head over to the man. “Wanna dance?” You all but yell over the loud atmosphere of the club. He nods with a smile and takes your hand.
The two of you don’t talk, just dance, it’d be hard to hear over the crowd's cheers anyway. However, you both leave with a new number in your phones and wide smiles on your faces.
“Text me when you get home, yeah?” Semi, you’ve learned, says as he leans on the door of the uber after making sure you get in.
“Only if you text me when you get home,” you slur out. You were going to regret how much you drank in the morning but you supposed sober you would thank drunk you. Semi lets out a small laugh as he ruffles your hair and closes the door.
First Date  - your first date
After a few weeks of texting each other you both have a free moment in your schedules
You had offhandedly mentioned wanting to play guitar, his eyes light up with an idea
Enter Semi proposing he teaches you how to play something, cause ya know…it’s a lot cheaper and it’ll be so much easier to learn with someone you already know
At the start he’s actual about it, has a chair set up across from him in his living room
Because you’re just not able to get one chord right though, he immediately asks if he can show you
You think he’ll take the guitar and show you. Wrong. He pats the couch and you sit in his lap as he puts his hands over yours and helps you press down on the right chords
First Kiss - your first kiss
He moves quick lol
It’s the same day as your first date
He makes dinner for the both of you after the whole guitar fiasco
You kiss his cheek as a thank you
He teases you by being like “That’s all? Don’t you think I deserve more than a kiss on the cheek?” you know, not expecting you to actually do it
Another flustered boy after you kiss him
Asks for another
Jealous? - how they act when they’re jealous and if it’s easy for them to get jealous
Another one who gets jealous so easily
When someone tries to hit on you though he kind of just chuckles and laughs it off
He makes subtle insults until they get the hint to leave you alone lol
I don’t think he would be as pouty when you got home though, only a little and he would be holding you reminding you how much he loves you
Cute Things They Do - just small things they do that are endearing
Saves you a spot in the front row at all the shows you’re able to go to
When he makes a new album he dedicates a song to you that’s literally just your name and is all the things he loves about you
He lets you put your feet between his legs to warm them up
When you hold hands he puts your hands in his jacket pocket so there’s less chance of you being separated
Impromptu serenading, just randomly starts singing to you
Wakes you up by pressing kisses all over your face
Does the “Y/N Loves me, they love me not” thing on flowers when he’s bored but gets so excited when it lands on the loves me. When it lands on love me not you have to kiss him and tell him not to listen to the stupid flower
Learns how to play your favorite songs and surprises you with them
Sakusa
Meet Cute or Not So Meet Cute? - how you meet
Not a Meet Cute but it’s not his fault
Really he only agreed because Atsumu said he would pay (yes, he lost a bet. Yes, Sakusa is there to collect his winnings and gloat)
He knew one day Atsumu exaggeratedly talking with his hands would lead to trouble
He was right
Here you come walking past the table in a nice white outfit and then suddenly there’s soda all over your pants
Atsumu is very sorry but Sakusa is more embarrassed, you? You laugh it off and say you were leaving anyways and it’ll wash right out
Today was, for all other purposes, a good day. Atsumu had made a foolish bet with Sakusa about who could score more service aces in a game. Sakusa won, by one which Atsumu definitely pouted about, which is why they were now sitting at Onigiri Miya. The loser had to buy the winner dinner, Sakusa really should’ve seen this accident coming from a mile away. Atsumu had lightly grazed his glass a few times while talking, very close to knocking it over more than once. And here comes a person dressed in all white.
One minute you’re saying goodbye to your friends and the next you’re covered in a drink. Both of the men at the table start rattling off apologies but you just laugh. “It’s fine, I was leaving anyway.” You wave them off.
“Still, I’m very sorry for his stupidity. I would say he’s not usually like this but I don't enjoy lying.” Sakusa cracks a small joke and is very pleased when you let out your own small laugh. He grabs his jacket from the chair beside him and hands it to you. “Here, use this to hide the stain.”
After gratefully taking the jacket you give the man your number. “So you can get this back.” You wave goodbye to him and leave. Atsumu takes this perfect opportunity to tease Sakusa about giving his jacket to a stranger. To which Sakusa tells him to shut up.
First Date - your first date
I also want to say he would be a coffee dude but- I think he would be nicer about it
He takes you to a nice dinner
This isn’t your first time hanging out by any means, you two have definitely been talking for at least a month before he asks you out
He thought you were funny and before long got a little crush (just a little one/j)
First Kiss - your first kiss
After a game
The team had been teasing him not believing he actually got a partner so he was a bit frustrated
When he comes out of the locker room all showered and changed and sees you in your Sakusa fan gear he loses it
He just lifts your chin up and kisses you
A very simple “Cute.” as he grabs your hand and the two of you leave
Jealous? - how they act when they’re jealous and if it’s easy for them to get jealous
Another one to laugh and insult the person who’s making them jealous
He grabs your hand and just stares at them effectively scaring them off
When he doesn’t hold your hand he just kind of looms behind you which usually does the job
If they don’t get the hint he will just start pulling you away with like a “I’m their boyfriend, go be pathetic somewhere else.”
Cute Things They Do - just small things they do that are endearing
While I don’t think he’s big on PDA I think there are exceptions to the rule
I think when he’s anxious he holds your hand and gives it three squeezes to say he loves you
After games he always gives you a kiss
Didn’t understand the hype around having his partner in his clothes until you wear one of his jerseys to a game and all he can think about is how cute you look in it
KING of forehead kisses
Locks your pinkies together sometimes instead of holding your hand
Still makes you pinky promise when you guys make a deal or you promise something
Writes you little notes sometimes and puts them in the pocket of your work pants or jacket
Instead of goodbye kisses he gives you hello kisses when he gets home from practice or you get home from work
Whichever comes first
Kita
Meet Cute or Not So Meet Cute?  - how you meet
This man is literally perfect so yes
He deserves a meet cute as a treat (to me)
He just so happens to be in the same aisle as you and sees you struggling to get the last detergent from the top shelf
So being the perfect gentleman he is he gets it down for you
Luckily for both of you it’s not the last time you see him
During his bi-weekly trips to deliver rice to Onigiri Miya he sees you, helping Osamu
You’re helping him with the deliveries since you’re new and that’s when you and Kita exchange numbers
Later he texts you and asks if you would like to go on a date with him <3
Kita wasn’t meaning to go to the store today but he hadn’t realized he was out of detergent until he was about to go do laundry. So, here he was. He was trying to find his very specific brand of detergent, they had moved it when they last restocked much to his annoyance. That’s when he caught sight of a person glaring at a detergent on the top shelf. He went over and asked if he could help.
“Actually, if you could get that detergent down for me please. I swear it’s the only one that doesn’t make me break out.” You smile at the kind stranger. He smiles back and hands the detergent to you, grabbing one of his own.
“I know what you mean, I think it’s because this is the only detergent my grandma used.” You both part ways thinking that would be the last you saw of each other. You were both pleasantly surprised when he showed up at your new job with his bi-weekly delivery.
“Hey stranger,” you greet him and take the bag of rice from him.
“You two know each other?” Osamu asks.
“He was my hero and got laundry detergent down for me when I couldn’t reach it.”
“Well, I guess you guys will see more of each other then. This is Kita, he was my captain from back when I played volleyball. He comes by to deliver rice every other week.” Osamu explains and shows you how to check off the sheet. He leaves to the front to take orders trusting Kita to help you move the remaining bags inside.
“So, I’m Kita Shinsuke.” He holds out his hand.
“Y/N L/N,” you respond, holding out your own hand to shake. “I thought you were cute at the market so I guess it’s fate I saw you again. Sorry if this is bold but, can I get your number?”
“Of course, it’s funny you say that. I was just about to ask for your’s.”
First Date - your first date
He would take you to a farmer’s market
Now, I know what you’re all going to say “Just because he’s a farmer doesn’t-” and let me stop you right there.
This is completely self-indulgent, I love farmer’s markets and like the outfits for summer go hard okay. He’s a man who actually knows what a sundress is and LIVES for seeing you in one
Also, getting strawberries or other food and asking the other if they want some only to just feed it to them instead of handing them the fork or berry.
First Kiss - your first kiss
You’ve been dating for a few months (he asked you out with flowers and a nice dinner after your 6th date)
You would have to initiate because I think he would be scared of overstepping
You fr get distracted by his lips whenever he talks
You guys go to each other’s houses when you’re free and want company
So as you’re about to leave, it’s only like 8 but you both have an early day, you ask
It’s after he puts your coat on you (fr living my dream) you nervously ask him for a kiss
This smug man just smiles with a chuckle and kisses you then pats your head and tells you that you should get home and to be safe
You know like he didn’t just smirk before kissing you
Jealous? - how they act when they’re jealous and if it’s easy for them to get jealous
Most chill out of them
Literally just grabs your hand and introduces himself as your boyfriend
He’s a little insecure but when you look at him he is immediately fine again
Even makes a little joke about the situation like “You’re so pretty I don’t blame them.”
Cute Things They Do - just small things they do that are endearing
Sometimes he slips up and calls you his wife/husband and gets so red after
When you lay on him his hands make shapes on your back and he has you guess what he’s making
He sets his alarm for five minutes earlier than he needs to get up so he can hold you and look at you before he gets up
Never, and I do mean never leaves without kissing you goodbye. Even when he has to get up at like 4 for work, you’re still getting a kiss and getting tucked in
Likes to make you lunch and brings it to you
I think he stress bakes (me fr) so your house is always filled with baked goods (the twins highly appreciate you bringing them)
For team reunions they jokingly call you their parents
Orders for you, not in like a rude way obv but it just seems natural for him to (which means he memorizes your order at every restaurant/ coffee shop you guys go to)
Ushijima (Ave wrote the hcs for Ushi and Ushi only lol) @hiraethwa
Meet Cute or Not So Meet Cute?  - how you meet
Not so meet cute :’)
You literally run into him in the men’s bathroom at a bar after being ditched by your friend who got back with their toxic ex despite all the advice you gave them
Ended up talking his ear off about it
Listens to you intently, pointing out red flags about this guy
He didn’t mind though
Asks you out on a date at the end of the night
You would joke that your first date was at the shitty bar bonding over your friend’s toxic partners
Ushijima was washing his hands and about to dry them off when you walked into the bathroom. “This is the men’s restroom,” he says so simply.
“Oh my…I’m so sorry. My friend literally ditched me and I think I’m a little too drunk to comprehend what’s going on right now. She got back with her ex despite me telling her how bad of an idea it was.” You start rambling. He nods his head as he dries his hand.
“Let’s go sit down.” He opens the door and leads you to a table where you continue to talk to him about the man in question.
“He always makes her pay for everything, I know this seems like a small thing but he drives off before he gets inside of her house. Like on their last date before they broke up he spent the whole time scrolling his phone and liking photos of models.”
“Sounds like he’s a real piece of work. I think it’s normal practice that whoever asks the person on the date is the one who pays. And while it may be small I believe it’s important to wait until someone is inside of their home safely before pulling away. And does that not count as cheating?” He pours some water into a cup and slides it to you. You mutter a small ‘thank you’ and drink some.
“In my head it counts as cheating. But apparently she thinks it’s fine. It just frustrates me because there’s this beautiful goddess of a woman and she’s dating…calling him a rat would be rude to rats.” He cracks a small smile at the joke.
When the night comes to an end you’re a little more sober but he still orders a cab for you. “Would you like to accompany me on a date?”
“You mean this wasn’t a date?” You joke.
First Date  - your first date
Believes that enjoyment >> splurging on your first date
Brings you to a nice sushi restaurant that he has been to (he remembers you mentioned your obsession with sushi, yes)
“Why are you crying?”
“This sake nigiri is too good, is it even real?” you hiccup, while savoring the taste of the salmon melting in your mouth
“I’m glad you like it.”
Actively engages in conversation with you ^.^
THIS MAN WOULD WIPE OFF THE TINY DROPLET OF SHOYU ON THE CORNER OF YOUR LIPS
First Kiss - your first kiss
Despite what people may say about him, he is a romantic
He has read romance manga/novel or watched romance series (recommended by his best friend, of course)
It would happen on the second date after he drives you home
Literally happens like the k-dramas, I’m not even kidding
Man would open your door, lean over you and unbuckle your seatbelt, offer you his hand to get out of the car (he is a gentleman through and through, what can i say??)
You stop at the front of your house/apartment, smiling up at Ushijima, eyes falling to his lips, thanking him for the great date he took you on
He just tucks the stubborn little fringe you have behind your ear, tips your chin up towards him and leaves a kiss on your lips
Bids you good night and makes sure you get into your house/apartment complex safely before leaving
Jealous? - how they act when they’re jealous and if it’s easy for them to get jealous
This man is so confident (in himself and your love for him)
He is unfazed by anyone trying to flirt with you
Would totally come over and put his hand on your waist
Just to mark his territory
(He is not jealous, guys)
Just territorial :)
Cute Things They Do - just small things they do that are endearing
Walks in front of you in crowds because his towering frame just makes the crowd separate for him, and also because he doesn’t want you to be squished by people
Would buy you your favorite dessert from the pastry shop on his way home from practice
Makes sure that you are sleeping well, have a glass of water next to you before bed
Obsessed with your hands, he would be holding them whenever he can. Both of you need to write for some reason? He can still hold your hand because he’s left handed, and you’re right-handed.
Would always finish the bento you pack for him because it’s filled with your love
Kisses you goodbye, every single time!! Even if you’re asleep, he would press a kiss to your forehead, careful to not disturb your sleep
Kageyama
Meet Cute or Not So Meet Cute?  - how you meet
Let’s be honest he doesn’t really go many places
You meet him when he’s going on a run in the park and you fell over bcs you sprained your ankle
He helps you over to the bench and exchange numbers so he can’t check in on you
He def forgets he did this so when you interview him at his next game both of you get surprised
Kageyama likes his routine of running before practice every morning. It’s a nice way to wake up because he’s not the most….happy person in the morning. It takes him a few laps of the park by his apartment before he sees you on the ground holding your ankle. He stops immediately and crouches down next to you. “Are you okay?”
“Does it look like I’m okay?” You snap as you hold your swelling ankle. “Sorry. It just hurts.” He nods in understanding and asks you to remove your hand so he can look at your ankle. He does a test to make sure it’s not broken and then helps you over to the bench. “Thank you. I’m sorry I snapped at you earlier.”
“It’s fine. Let me help you to the hospital.”
“It’s just a sprain, it's fine. I just need to go home and ice it.” He nods and pulls out his phone.
“Put your address in. I would like to make sure you reach home safely.” You nod and type your address into the phone. He helps you all the way home and exchanges numbers so he can make sure you’re okay later.
Needless to say he forgets about the exchange until he sees you walking towards him after one of his matches. “How’s your ankle?”
“Fine now. So, a volleyball star huh? I thought I recognized you somewhere.” The interview goes well, and he makes sure to text you when he gets home and asks to go on a date the following Saturday.
First Date  - your first date
Simple guy
Movies
Dinner beforehand
Not a horror movie though, probably takes you to a romcom or smth and listens intently when you make fun of it the whole time
The minute goi try to get your card out to pay for anything he looks so confused omg
First Kiss - your first kiss
Nervous nervous nervous
Both of you are balls of anxiety
You two bumps noses a lot
Very quick and then you both kind of look away like “so…yeah.”
Jealous? - how they act when they’re jealous and if it’s easy for them to get jealous
Gets jealous so easily
Omfg…this boy. Will just sit there with the biggest fricken pour on his face and pretend like that’s not what’s going on
Crosses his arms and taps his foot and everything
Maybe a little silent treatment…just a little
“No, why don’t you go back to talking with that person. Since they were so interesting.”
Like bro…shut up and let us hold your hand and kiss you smh
Cute Things They Do - just small things they do that are endearing
Gets lost looking at your face and when you question him about it he just goes “You’re pretty.” Like without so much as a flash of red across his face
If you’re about to cross the road he grabs your hand and pulls you back before you cross bcs you don’t look both ways (bad Y/N)
If you stay up waiting for him to get back from an away game he carries you to the bed when you inevitably fall asleep
Has a photo of you in his wallet and when asked goes “Them? That’s my partner.”
Not the biggest yapper but taps about you in interviews when given the chance
Osamu
Meet Cute or Not So Meet Cute?  - how you meet
MEET CUTE MEET CUTE MEET CUTE.
Sorry- couldn’t help myself
He’s a vendor at a food festival you went to and you come back a solid THREE times to his booth
“Gonna see you again before I close? Startin to think you’re only here for me.” With the most teasing look on his face
You do come back before close and he writes a note for you on your receipt
Come visit the actual shop sometime and maybe I’ll give you my number -Osamu
Osamu almost laughs when he sees your face at his booth for the second time that night. “Couldn’t get enough?”
“Never.” You smile and order more food. He happily packs it up for you and makes small talk while someone else takes the orders.
“Gonna see you again before I close? I’m startin’ to think you’re only here for me.”
“And if I am?” You ask and take the bag from his hands. He stands there a little starstruck for a minute with a small smile on his face before he shakes his head and gets back to work.
You do end up coming back right as he’s about to close. “Mysterious customer. Lovely to have you again.”
“Lovely to see you again too.”
“Here for the food or me this time?”
“Maybe a little bit of both.” You smile and you hand him your card as he rings up an order for you to try. You’re the last person in line so he talks to you while he makes your food.
“Well, I can’t say I’m disappointed.” He smiles and wraps your Onigiri up. He quickly writes something on your receipt before closing the window with a wink.
‘Come visit the actual shop sometime and I’ll give you my number’ -Osamu
First Date  - your first date
Takes you to another street food festival.
Like your favorite thing to do, the two of you just walk around and talk
He will in fact not let you pay for anything (his poor wallet)
Tries to hold your hand when the two of you aren’t eating
Gets a little upset he didn’t think to bring chairs or a blanket for you to sit down and listen to the live music so he runs to the store and gets a blanket
Proceeds to buy more food and the two of you sit and listen to the music while you eat
Overall so soft <333
First Kiss - your first kiss
You’re legit just leaving the store
Like you came in to talk to him during rush hour because you had a day off and you tell him you have to leave after he closes up
He just leans over and presses a kiss to your lips so casually and says bye and text him when you get home safe
You’re just like “bro wtf?” And make him kiss you again before you leave
He proceeds to go home and giggle about it to himself in his kitchen as he makes dinner
Jealous? - how they act when they’re jealous and if it’s easy for them to get jealous
Yes.
Point blank. Jealous jealous man
Def silent treatment. Like petty man
“Osamu? You okay?”
Turns away and ignores you
Will make you kiss him like fifty times before he finally “forgives” you
You two talk about it later bcs healthy communication or wtv
Cute Things They Do - just small things they do that are endearing
Makes food for you (idc if this is overused. He’s a chef. As a culinary person. He makes you food).
Asks your family/friends about your favorite dishes so he can make them
Learns your skincare routine and when you’re too tired does it for you and tucks you in
If it’s raining he’ll put his jacket over your head and run to the car with you
If you’re feeling sad and won’t talk to him about it he kisses your face until you smile
If you two have a silly fight he’ll put on sad breakup songs until you come talk to him
Kuroo
Meet Cute or Not So Meet Cute?  - how you meet
You meet him bcs he needs a fitting for a new suit
Neither of you get particularly flustered bcs you’re not used to this but he does think you’re very pretty
Refuses to ask you out at work bcs that’s just…ick. Like you’re fr stuck there so he doesn’t want to make you uncomfortable
You ask him out “I’m sorry, this is so unprofessional of me. Would you maybe want to go on a date sometime?”
So happy. Like the minute you’re out of sight he fist bumps the air and smiles so happily (yes ppl do look at him for a minute before continuing on with his day and no he does not feel shame about it).
Kuroo goes every few months to get a suit fitted. He has a vast collection now because of work but he likes to add new ones to his rotation. When you’re the one fitting his suit he notes how pretty you are but doesn’t mention anything. You are at work after all.
The appointment goes by like all the other ones he’s been too. When you ring him out though he can see your eyes dart around the store. “I’m sorry, this is so unprofessional of me. Would you maybe like to go out sometime?”
A wide smile breaks out across his face and he nods his head and tries to contain his excitement. “Yeah. I would love that. I was actually going to ask you but I didn’t want to make you uncomfortable at work.”
“Oh…most people wouldn’t have cared. That was nice.” You smile at him and hand him his receipt. “See you again when you come back for the suit then.”
“See ya.” He tries to act cool and nonchalant but when he reaches outside he throws his hand in the air with a smile. He gets some head turns but he doesn’t care. Little does he know you can still see him from the counter and are hiding a laugh behind your hand.
First Date  - your first date
Realized he left without your number so when he comes back to pick up the suit asks if you want to go out that night (you agree bcs why not be spontaneous)
Doesn’t have any reservations anywhere so the two of you run around the city
You do like claw machines and eat from food trucks and stuff in your nice work clothes
Def gets upset when he can’t win any of the claw machine games
So you get him a plushie
First Kiss - your first kiss
Ice cream (thank you Ave for not expanding on this in the slightest…I’m taking creative liberties)
You get some ice cream on your lip and he kisses it away
Realizes what he did and tries to play it off as “no big deal” but gets too flustered for that smh
“Kiss me properly if you’re going to kiss me.”
So you roll your eyes and kiss him
Jealous? - how they act when they’re jealous and if it’s easy for them to get jealous
I know we like to joke but I think he’s pretty chill
Just makes fun of the guy cause I mean…Kuroo is tall, handsome, successful, wealthy, fit. Like what’s this guy got?
Like comes up behind you and laughs at his attempts at flirting “Did you really expect to get them with that lame line?”
“What are you like 5’ 7? And that’s me being generous.”
“Aww that’s cute. Where did you get it? I think my grandma wanted something like it.”
LOWKEY TOXIC ASF.
Cute Things They Do - just small things they do that are endearing
Puts his hand over the corners of things when you bend down so you don’t hit your head
Does your hair every morning
Kisses your wedding ring before he leaves “just a reminder that this is real. That you’re really mine.”
Only goes to you to get his suits fitted
Tries to match his tie to your outfit and his watch to your jewelry
Has a plushie collection and gives you his favorite one
On a similar note you guys get a Build A Bear together and make posts like it’s your child
