Speaking of Fizz, really hope these scenes are him singing because Alex Brightman deserves to sing a solo song and one that isn’t incredibly short or dialogue filled.
Like yeah I bitch about not caring that much about Fizz but I love Alex Brightman so much, dude is INSANELY talented for obvious reasons and while I still don’t like the concept of this show having songs in it, I’ll take it if it’s Alex singing. Like…you put him in this shit show, so let him at least go all the way with his talent please.
#he’s still a waste for this show like he deserves to be in something better#and I still hate how he’s literally playing the same character like I’m sorry but Fizz is Beetlejuice 2.0#I remember being so disappointed when Ozzie’s came out because I was expecting Alex to sing some epic villain song and it was just…about sex#but yeah check out other stuff Alex is in because he’s amazing#and yeah I will admit I feel like part of me only cares about Fizz because Alex is voicing him#again I will say Fizz in a way can be sympathized with since we know something fucked up happened#but his character is nothing special like he’s still your average Viv gay twink#Alex also said Fizz’s backstory made him cry and….yeah I doubt it will move me the same but we’ll see#helluva critical#helluva boss criticism

Could u do a fic where the reader is playing fnaf for a smosh games video and gets scared and Spencer comforts them? Ty!!
I loved this idea! It's so cute and I hope you love it as much as I do!!
FNAF ISN’T FUN! | Spencer Agnew x F!Reader
Warnings: FNAF, jumpscare mentioned, crying
Summary: The resident scream fanatic, Y/N, is ready to conquer the FNAF franchise...until she realizes how scary it really is.
Word Count: 678
“What’s up every pony! It’s your favorite scream fanatic, Y/N, here! Today, I was basically forced by my mean boyfriend to play Five Nights at Freddy’s today.” She says, starting the livestream. Alex Tran’s laugh can be heard as Spencer looks at her shocked, “I did not force you to play this! You were practically whining because you didn’t get to play them with Shayne and Amanda.” She rolls her eyes at his words before sending him a charming smile.
“Whatever, anyway, the plan is for me to try to complete as many of the games as I can. I’m only going to night five because I don’t think we’d have time for me to do night six on all the games.” She explains as she starts to read the chat. Y/N is a natural entertainer, she’s not in many videos as everyone agreed she does her best stuff when she’s able to interact with the audience. So, she has a weekly livestream show she does on the gaming channel. She usually has some of the other cast on but a good amount of the livestreams are just her in front of the camera and her riffing off with Spencer and Alex behind the camera.
“As most of you know, I am called the scream fanatic, because everytime I play a horror game for y’all, I scream like a baby and do it many many times. So, I don’t think that will change today, but maybe I can get upgraded to scream princess. What do y’all think?” She asks, a teasing smile on her face. The chat agrees that she might just get the upgrade based on how she has been in the past.
Taking a deep breath, she sends a nervous smile to the people watching then to Alex and Spencer. “Let’s get this party started, ponies.” She says before putting on her headphones then opening up the game. Her heart starts to beat faster immediately when the first game opens up.
“So, we are playing the games in release order. Not timeline order, we’re not doing a Marvel thing here.” She jokes before starting the first night. The first couple of nights go smoothly, nothing too crazy and she can sense most of the jumpscares so no screaming.
That is until she gets to night four. “Okay, chat, we are on night four! So far, I have been doing amazing.” She says, checking the cameras and waiting. Everything is going smoothly until she hears foxy running. “Shit, shit, shit.” She mutters as her brain pauses for a second before moving to close the doors but, it’s too late.
Foxy screams as he pops himself into the room and Y/N screams bloody murder as she throws the headphones off. She curles herself into a ball as some tears start to fall out of her eyes, “That was way worse than I thought it would be.” She says, her voice shaky.
Soon she feels familiar warm arms wrapping around her as Spencer moves his chair to be by her. “It’s okay, love. You’re okay.” He assures her, gently caressing her hair as he holds her. “I feel like such a baby.” She whines, forgetting they aren’t at home and are broadcasting to thousands of people.
“You’re not a baby. You just got scared is all. It’s natural.” He assures her, resting his chin on the top of her head as she leans into him.
Alex is smiling to himself as he watches the chat go crazy with seeing the two being so sweet together.
“Hey, guys. Hate to break up the love fest but we are still streaming.” He says, looking at the couple in front of him. “Do you wanna keep going?” Spencer asks as Y/N moves to sit up straight. “Yeah, just stay here?” She asks, grabbing his hand. “Of course.” He kisses the back of her hand before they both turn their attention back to the game.
“Okay, Foxy, you’re ass is mine!”

Chapter 22 of 21 Questions
better interface on wattpad
Not long after Lily had finished preparing the pancakes, with the company of Matt, everyone started waking up. Nick had been the first – intrigued by the smell that was coming from the adjacent room to him, then Alex and Chris had awakened around the same time. Lily had been thoroughly thanked for the breakfast she had made and her pancakes were as loved by the triplets as they were by Alex.
“Y’all don’t know how lucky I am to live with her for real”, Alex claimed while eating her third pancakes. “I have the best friend ever.”
“It is really good, thank you so much for those bro.” Chris was clearly enjoying the food as he stole a pancake from the plate right as Nick was about to take it.
“Waking up to this everyday is the dream life,” Nick wondered. “I don’t wanna take advantage of your kindness Lily but I’d love for you to cook for us more before we leave.”
“It’s no problem,” Lily assured. “I really like cooking, especially for friends and family so making people happy is what makes me happy.”
They all smiled at that and couldn’t believe it. The world didn’t deserve Lily, but this girl sure deserved everything good that could happen to her.
“I wish I could promise you one of her best recipes but y’all might have to beg her for it.” Alex teased the triplets as she knew she could eat Lily’s food whenever she wanted. “Her cakes are sooo good!”
“Flattery doesn’t get you anywhere babe, you know that.”
“Wait, but like–” Matt started. “If Lily cooks most of the stuff, what do you and your other friends do, Alex?”
“Good question Matthew. I actually do most of the drinks with Jade while Lucas takes care of the bookstore part. It’s not unusual that we shift roles but this is what we all mainly do there.”
“Sounds like a good atmosphere between y’all four,” Chris said. “Kinda want to check out your place now.”
“We can actually”, Lily offered. “Closed it for the day because I was thinking of bringing you there if you’d wanted.”
“Really?” Nick asked. “Like, just for us?”
“Yeah, of course!” Lily widely smiled. “We can bake something, you can see the books we have and just chill there so we’re not locked in the house for the day.”
“That’d be very nice, thank you Lily.” Matt exchanged a glance with the girl as he appreciated that she was going to share this big part of her life with them.
As they all agreed to the idea, everyone went to get dressed – as they were all still in their pyjamas to have breakfast – before Lily drove them to her and Alex’s workplace.
~~~
“It looks so cute from outside already!” Nick exclaimed as they arrived in front of the café.
“Thanks,” Alex replied. “My parents were the ones who did most of it back then but Lucas and I sometimes remodel based on the seasons and stuff.”
Lily unlocked the door before motioning for everyone to enter and made sure that the ‘CLOSED’ sign was visible, so that people wouldn’t wonder why the lights were on without any customers. As a café that was open six days a week, Lily had thought – with her coworkers’ agreement – that changing their day off once wouldn’t be a problem.
While Alex was giving the triplets a tour of the place, Lily was setting everything up. The three guests were all amazed at the café and the fact that they would eventually eat something similar to the pictures hung on the walls. Everything seemed delicious to them and they couldn’t keep their stomachs from being impatient – they’d had breakfast an hour ago but as still growing young adults, of course they would be hungry at the sight of so many choices of pastries on the menu.
“Hey”, Lily called to the triplets who were still wandering around. “If y’all want, the café’s laptop is connected to Spotify so play whatever you want.”
Nick, Chris and Matt all hummed in agreement before the latter decided to go check out what the girls liked. As he scrolled through the playlists, Matt let out a snicker which grabbed Lily’s attention as she was near him.
“What’s so funny about the music I like?”
“Nothing, nothing.” Matt replied with a smile. “It’s just so…organised.”
“Okay, I can admit that I like having my stuff in categories given the amount of playlists that I have. I guess the ones I listen to the most are the ones not in files so pick one of them, that means you don’t have to discover everything that’s in my mind.”
“Noted”, Matt acknowledged while trying to choose a playlist based on their names. “Wow, you’re our biggest fan then.”
“Hmm?” Lily asked before understanding what he was referring to. “Oh yeah, you guys’ playlists are very nice.”
“For real, she plays them a lot in here.” Alex added as she had been half-listening to the conversation. “They’re all good as background music, mostly Matt’s I’d say.”
“That’s true, it sets a good vibe in the mornings especially.” Lily confirmed. “Put that if you want something you already know.”
“No no, it’s fine. I’ll put the all-time faves playlist so I know which songs define you.”
“Damn”, another voice joined the discussion. “That is a very long playlist. No way y’all adore all those songs.”
“Well if you must know Nicolas,” Alex started. “This is actually Lily’s account and yes, she does love those fifteen hours – have done for a while already. I’m not surprised if when we’re seventy and retired, she still plays these songs.”
“Hey!” Lily called as she felt like she was bullied. “Stop judging me and put something on.”
“Will do, don’t worry.” Matt answered as he shuffled the playlist. “Let’s actually judge the songs before we judge you.”
Everyone laughed at that, including Lily, and the café began to be filled with the melody of Over and Out by 5 Seconds of Summer. Although the song was far from being a calm and relaxing one, the music wasn’t that loud so it allowed the group of friends to still be able to freely talk while having background noise.
“Okay so now that we have that, where do we start?” Chris asked as he was leaning on the counter.
“We’re supposed to bake something for you so you’re the one to tell us,” Lily replied as she walked towards the fridge. “What do you want in your victory cake?”
At that, Chris let out a big smile as he was happy that Lily was still on board with the joke he had made the week before. He thought for a second before deciding.
“Because it’s in my honour, I guess it has to have orange in it.” He looked at everyone as he was hesitating. “What goes well with that? It’s not everyday that we actually bake from scratch and have to invent a recipe.”
“That’s true,” Matt agreed. “We have always cooked stuff that was pre-made I guess like– we just have to assemble most of the time.”
“Wait, it’s actually innovative for us.” Nick pointed out. “I kinda want to vlog that chaos.”
“Excuse me?” Alex looked offended at that. “There will be no chaos when you’re literally gonna be baking with two superstars. We take no responsibility for the fact that y’all three don’t know shit.”
“So it’s a yes to vlog it then?” Nick wished to confirm. “And I promise we’ll do our best!”
The two girls nodded and Lily just put in the condition that their faces wouldn’t appear, only their backs at most. Alex felt the same as she wasn’t very keen on being publicly seen on the internet. She had always been very outgoing and extroverted but something about being in a video with the triplets felt scary.
“No worries, we won’t be filming like we’d do in our kitchen for example.” Matt assured as he gave a smile to Lily. “It’ll just be small moments of our failures.”
“Yep. We’ll be careful, you can trust us!” Chris added with confidence.
The two girls felt more comfortable and as they began putting out the ingredients necessary for the cake – they had eventually chosen chocolate to go with orange, they heard Nick introducing the video.
“Hey everyone! So for today’s vlog which is literally being filmed the same day as it’ll be posted, if we don’t have anything else to film, we’ll be baking a cake in honour of Chris’s victory.”
“As if the trophy wasn’t enough…” Matt muttered but still loud enough for everyone and the camera to hear.
They all laughed at that and Alex could especially be heard as she had the habit of loudly laughing like Chris would do, thus showing that she was someone always receptive to jokes and joy.
“Okay so if y’all hear other voices, we’re with some friends that are better than us at baking–”
“Not really hard to achieve”, Chris interrupted Nick as he went next to the blonde to be in frame.
“Correct”, Nick continued. “So yeah we’re not gonna introduce them formally because they’re shy but they’re professionals so the result is bound to be much more awesome than all we ever did in our cooking videos.”
“Stay tuned for the best cake!” Matt chimed in before Nick paused the camera so that they could actually start baking.
“Damn Matthew, you’re boosting our egos here.” Lily joked. “It’s also pressure, but we’ll manage I guess.”
“Of course!” Alex exclaimed. “No one bakes better than my best friend.”
And thus the beginning of an afternoon full of banter – and batter – started with Lily instructing the triplets of what they should be doing while Alex would sometimes film them.
~~~
“Brooo, what are you doing?” Alex panicked behind the camera as she was recording Chris.
“Whisking?”
“Lily, come help him please!” The girl begged her best friend.
The brunette went to see what was happening and let out an over-dramatic gasp.
“Damn babe, you’re gonna hurt yourself if you keep doing that.” Lily warned as she put her hand on Chris’s wrist to stop his movement. “Here, let me show you how to do it.”
From where she was filming, Alex tilted the camera a bit to the side so that Lily would be hidden by Chris and only her arms around him could be seen. As Chris then wondered what was wrong with him, Lily helped him restart the right movement so that he wouldn’t end up with a cramp after thirty seconds. Chris thanked her and then tried to do it by himself while Lily stayed by his side for a few more minutes in order to make sure that he kept doing what she showed him.
From the other side of the kitchen, Matt had finished preparing the plate in which they would eventually put the cake in. He couldn’t help but observe his younger brother and his friend as they seemed to get along well. Matt was only able to feel grateful that everyone was enjoying the day and he softly smiled at the scene in front of him.
Lily then left Chris in the hands of Alex who had stopped filming to babysit him and joined Matt who was next to the oven. While she checked and confirmed that he had done a good job, she was quietly singing along to Take Her to the Moon by Waterparks that was currently being played. Unbeknownst to her, Matt was trying to understand the lyrics and he couldn’t avoid the familiarity felt with some as the girl was saying it.
“I wanna live inside your mind, next to your favourite songs”. Lily briefly paused as she was focusing on the temperature at which she was heating the oven before singing the next lyrics. “I wanna lose my mood inside a late night phone call with you.”
Damn, Matt thought. He was suddenly starting to overthink everything that was happening. Why was he even relating to the chorus? Did he only feel that because Lily was the one singing it? Let’s not dwell on it… But he would, at one point, dwell on it. Matt was simply delaying what was meant to happen but for now, he tried to simply enjoy the time he was spending with people he cherished.
When Lily finally noticed a gaze on her, she looked up and smiled at Matt who seemed deep in thought. This put him out of his daydream and Matt smiled back before she motioned for him to come join the other three as they were nearing the end of the recipe. With Alex’s help, Lily told the triplets what were the next steps and they did as the girls were instructing. They eventually finished everything and it was now time to put the cake in the oven before waiting for it to cook.
~~~
“Okay guys!” Nick exclaimed at the camera as he was filming the oven. “We’re now gonna see how’s the cake looking and if it’s edible.”
“Nick oh my god!” Alex punched his shoulder which made the camera falter for a second. “Of course it’s edible. Lily’s the best cook ever and not even your lack of skills could change that.”
Lily laughed at her best friend’s enthusiasm before taking the cake out of the oven – Nick taking care of staying behind her so her face couldn’t be seen. She put it on the counter for everyone to admire it.
“It looks so fluffy, I can’t wait to eat it.” Chris was becoming impatient as he wanted nothing more than to taste his victory.
“You don’t want to decorate or anything?” Lily asked him. “Like frosting, I don’t know.”
Looking at each other, the triplets were remembering their previous experiences with frosting during their ‘DEAF, BLIND AND MUTE’ videos before suddenly laughing at the memories.
“I don’t think we’re the best ones at that,” Nick admitted as he faced the camera. “Our viewers would certainly agree.”
“Y’all weren’t that bad”, Alex tried to reason. “You’re all perfectly seeing what you’re doing and we’re still under Lily’s instructions so what could go wrong?”
Everything, the triplets all thought in sync. They eventually agreed when Lily suggested some simple design they could do together. Per Chris’s request, they settled on orange frosting and the triplets actually had lots of fun when they had to mix the food colouring into it. Lily had gladly filmed their reactions as Alex was whisking and the frosting went from light cream to bright orange thus making the triplets have huge smiles on their faces – similar to a child going to an amusement park for the first or getting the toy they wanted on Christmas Day, which was really sweet to witness.
When they then applied the frosting on the cake with the girls’ help, the triplets were amazed at the result. The cake was round and large enough to feed the five friends, covered in bright orange frosting with rose details at the top. Lily wasn’t the best when it came to actual cake design and decorating them – Jade was more the professional at that as she had very still hands, but it turned out that her instructions were enough for Matt to calmly and beautifully adorn the cake. The middle brother was skilled at being a good listener and remembering well what was said to him so he had been the best choice out of them to perfect the cake.
Getting Nick, Matt and Chris in frame, Lily stepped back so she could record the triplets and the cake together while Alex was loudly applauding them.
“Y’all did great! We’re really proud of you guys!”
“Thanks, you were there to help us so it’s mostly you two.” Nick reminded as he and his brothers had simply followed the girls’ orders.
“Nonsense!” Lily exclaimed behind the camera. “Let us give you all three the credit, your fans need to know how talented you became in the kitchen.”
“You’re real housewives now,” Alex joked. “Bake that for your family when you come back home and they’ll be impressed.”
“Send us the recipe though because I remembered nothing,” Chris admitted. “I feel like we’d be capable of baking that for our parents.”
“Yay, of course babe!” Lily was glad that they enjoyed baking enough to try and redo it on their own time. “We’ll be waiting for pictures of your success in your weekly dump.”
“You’ll get early proof of the Sturniolo bakers before everyone,” Nick assured. “Gotta make sure our teachers approve before posting shit.”
“We definitely will, don’t worry!” Lily assured as she knew that they could achieve it if they were all giving it their everything, without being blindfolded or other handicap like that.
After Nick took multiple pictures of the cake, they all finally got to taste it. Chris was designated as the crash tester, to which he was glad as he was the first one to eat the delicious cake. Everyone was delighted when Chris voiced his opinion and confirmed that the cake was as good inside than outside. Alex and Lily were overjoyed at that as they were really happy that the triplets were able to eat something they’d been the ones to make. While eating, they all shared embarrassing cooking stories: Lily told them about her first chocolate mousse that had deflated for God knows why or how and Alex explained the time when she tried to bake a red velvet cake for her brother but accidentally mixed green dye in it so the cake came out Christmas coloured, although it was the middle of summer. The girls knew about Chris, Matt and Nick’s failures as most of them were on camera, but the triplets decided to share a secret with them: they had at least four videos of them baking that they never posted due to how chaotic it ended up being and how disgusting the food was. However, they also announced to the girls that they were planning to film a new edition of their ‘DEAF, BLIND AND MUTE’ videos once they’d be back in LA, thus making Lily and Alex excited for this spoiler regarding their YouTube channel.
As they were then done with eating and cleaning everything up, they decided to spend the rest of the afternoon at the café while Nick would quickly edit the vlog they’d filmed earlier. Lily offered to help as she knew how to get around editing, but Nick assured that he would be fine due to the little clips they had, therefore removing the need to cut too many things. The triplets knew that the video wouldn’t be very long, but the fans would understand as tour had ended only a few days ago and they needed to get back into their routine after this important event.
Anthony's Stupid Daily Blog (720): Thu 8th Mar 2024
I thought about how I always try to combine two or more ideas whenever I get a tattoo in order to get more original and unique imagery and I have decided apply this logic to a new business enterprise as I set up my own mobile museum. Instead of getting people to come to my museum I will take it to them as I will be driving the bus Rosa Parks would be arrested on and inside rather than spreading out all of the exhibits I will have them collected into one piece. It will be The Elephant Man’s skeleton wearing Jackie Kennedy’s blood stained dress, holding one of the violins the musicians on the Titanic was playing, in the other hand he'll be carrying the headless bat that Ozzy Osbourne bit the head off and on his feet will be the ruby slippers from The Wizard of Oz. Tell me you wouldn't pay money to hop on the mobile museum to check it out if it drove into your town. After four very long years I have finally finished my gruelling but also incredibly pleasurable challenge to read every book to win the Edgar Award for Best Novel. I don’t know how I found out about these awards (though I suspect it was just through randomly trawling through Wikipedia) or why I decided to read every winning book but when I sat down to read the first winner “Beat Not The Bones” by Charlotte Jay I couldn’t imagine I wouldn’t finish the challenge until four years later. After nearly half a decade of this on again off again mission, at approximately 16:00 today I finished the final book in the challenge, Notes on an Execution. The final pages of the book depict the last moments of a murderer on death row as he sees the world slip away much like I was watching the final moments of my beautiful four year long task disintegrate before my eyes like a swan in a barrel of acid. I immediately took out my bucket list and struck a line through “Edgar Awards” and breathed a huge sigh of relief before stepping outside to do several interviews with the big news networks and watching all the video messages of congratulations from celebrities such as Lee Ryan from Blue, Justin Lee Collins and The Pope. I’m so glad that this thing is over but at the same time I’m thankful that I’ve been introduced to a lot of amazing writers whose work I never would have gotten to sample if it weren’t for this insane challenge. Starting tomorrow I will begin my new insane challenge of attempting to read every book by the great Philip K Dick.
I watched an episode of The One Show that covered a book award ceremony for children who had written stories made up of 500 words or less. I don't know why but I hate seeing children display talent at an incredibly young age. It's probably because when I was a child I submitted a story for this competition about a nymphomaniac bank manager who constantly takes customers into the bank's giant vault to bang them which I titled "Safe Sex" and not only did it not win but I was forced to undergo counseling and electroshock treatment. One of the winners was this eleven year old kid and he was a right smug little cunt. When the host asked him if he could believe he won he replied in a deadpan fashion “Well yeah because you just said it” and when Alex Jones asked if he would continue writing he said “Well I’m currently writing three stories”. This self-congratulatory bitch is going to end up being the Prime Minister one day isn't he? In twenty years time when I get my well earned OBE for all the great sitcoms I write it's going to be this smarmy gobshite who ruins my day by giving me my medal and commenting "I've never seen your stuff personally but I'm told it's very funny".Tom Hiddleston presented an award but he didn’t do his Robert De Niro impression. I actually want to write a Philip K Dick-style book where Hiddleston runs for president and his only act is to make it punishable by death to watch, share or discuss his De Niro impression ever happened.
Hot Lifeguard (Emily Sonnett x reader)
My first story. Sorry for any mistakes, english is not my first language. Opened for suggestions.
It was just another day at work. Days like this were one of my favorites. Just a few people at the beach and less people in the water, that is almost the perfect scenario for a lifeguard. Because normally that means no incidents. My shift was almost over, just one more hour and I could go home to prepare for dinner tonight with my girlfriend.
Right now I am sitting at the cabbing along with Josh, my partner for the day.
“No fucking way” I heard Josh yell while loking at something through the glass.
“What? What did you see?” I asked “You’re not going to believe who just arrived at the beach” “Well, if you give me the binoculars I could see by myself.” “There is no need to. Look at the group over there.” He said pointing to a place in the sand “Okay, I’m looking but I’m not getting it.”
Just as I said that I saw a blond girl running a few meters at the sand and trying to do a cartwheel on the sand and failing miserably, ending with her butt at the sand. Yep, now I know of who Josh is talking about.
“Girl, that is the US women’s soccer team, seems like the whole team is in here.” He was really excited “Josh, clean it right here…” (I rubbed my hand on my chin and he copied me) “Why?” He asked, after seeing nothing on her hand “You’re drooling.” “Oh, fuck up.” She pushes me and keeps looking at the team, it wasn’t the whole team but is probably half of the girls.
“Okay, I’m gonna say hi. Do you wanna come?” Josh asked me “You can go, someone has to stay here and actually do the work.” Josh rolled his eyes but got the walktalk. “Fine, I would tell them you say hi, I’m bringing the walktalk” “Go there looser.”
I was just watching a few surfers at the beach, when I looked to my left and saw Josh coming back with the group of girls following him. He gave me a sign for me to come down.
“So Y/n these are the players from USWNT and girls this is Y/n.” “Hi girls, I actually know you all, I’m a big fan, you’re all badasses.” “Thank you. We heard that so was you.” Ashlyn said and Alex followed. “Josh here went to say hi and told us that his coworker was a woman and a badass so we needed to come check out.” “Well, it’s my pleasure to meet you.”
“For how long have you been working here?” Ali asked. “In this part of the beach not much, but as a lifeguard, 10 years.” The girls were shocked “Oh, 10 years? Sorry to ask but how old are you?” “25” “You can be a lifeguard while you’re 15?” “Yes. I was a good swimmer and at a young age I started to learn surfing, I always loved the water. So one day I got the opportunity to be a lifeguard at a waterpark near home, since then I never stopped. And soon as I had enough experience to be a lifeguard at the beach I moved and here I am.” Tobin spoke this time. “So do you also surf?” Before I could answer, Josh interrupted us “Oh yeah, this is almost like an unofficial rule to be a lifeguard, and Y/n is like the best here. Sorry girls, but I’ll go upstairs and check the beach” “Bye Josh, it was a pleasure to meet you.” The girls said and then looked back at me.
“I’m probably not that good, but yes I can surf.” “We would love to see that, it’s a shame you’re at work.” Tobin answered. “Isn’t your shift ending?” Emily spoke this time, I looked at her and the sun was hitting her face, making her blue eyes shine, she is so beautiful. “Yeah, actually. I have probably just one more hour left.”
“So what about you meeting us after it and we can see how good you actually are?” Ashlyn asked me with a smirk. “That is a challenge Ashlyn?” “You can bet on it.” Ali smacks Ashlyn in the back of her head. “Ashlyn, you can’t go out challenging people.” “Just a moment girls.”
I interrupted whoever was saying, as soon as I spotted something on the ocean. I climbed the ladder from the cabin and called for Josh. “Josh!” “Yeah boss!” “Look at the water, 10 o’clock. What do you see?” “There is noth… shit looks like two people. Maybe kids. Go!” I jump in the sand and get the surfboard. “Sorry girls, and it’s a bet Ash.” I ran as fast as I could toward the people, wishing this day could end as good as it started.
As I was getting closer to them I noticed that one of them was a little girl, around 5 years old and the other was a boy around 12 years old. I was going as fast as I could but it looked like it wasn't enough. As I was about to get to them, the boy pushed the girl up, and sank. Fuck!
“Help! Lucas!” I got the girl, put her over the board and tried to find the boy but he didn’t get back up. What should I do? I looked up and saw the girl was using diving glasses. “Can you lend me this? Okay, look, you see these ropes? Hold them as strong as you can and don’t let them go. I’ll get Lucas.”
I know it look like a stupid ideia, let the girl up there by herself, but if I wait for Josh to get here the boy could be dead. So I got in the water and dived trying to find the boy. I surf back up, check with the little girl, get some breath and dive back. I was almost giving up when I felt something on my left leg and when I looked at it was him. So I get his hand and rise back. “Lucas!!” I got back on the board, laid him down and asked for the girl to sit in front of me holding the ropes. He’s unconscious, I need to get to the beach as fast as possible.
I got to the beach and Josh was already there with the equipment and said he had already called an ambulance. I barely got that, the boy was my first priority, I looked up and saw the national team girls were close. “Hey little girl, you see these women over there?” She nodded. “Stay with them, for me to take care of Lucas okay?” She didn’t want to let go of him, must be her brother. Probably noticing my expression, Emily came over and got the girl, she started to scream. But my focus was somewhere else now. The boy wasn’t breathing, so I started the compression. “Come on, come on. Spit the water. Come on Lucas, you can do it.” I must be doing it for like 1 minute, but it felt like an hour, when the boy spit the water. “Good boy. Calm down, you’re safe now.” I put him on oxigen, and the ambulance arrived just in time as he regained consciousness. “Hey boy, what’s your name?” The paramedic asked. “Lucas.” “Hi, Lucas. My name is Daniel and I’m a paramedic and I’m going to help you okay? How old are you?” “12. Where is my sister?” “Hey Lucas, it’s okay, she is over there, stay calm okay.”
I looked back at the girl and went to calm her down. “Hey little girl, how are you?” She came running for my arms. “Lucas?” She asked while crying in my arms. “He is better now, you see? He is talking with the doctors now. Where are your parents sweety?” “Don’t know.” And as it was agreed the mother shows up. “Lucas? Lucy?” “Mom!” The little girl ran to the women's arms. “Where is Lucas?” “Hi Mrs, my name is Y/N. Lucas is over there being taken care of. Do you know what happened?” “No, I told them that I was going to get some water and when I came back they weren’t there so I started to freak out and I saw the comotion here.” They start to take the boy to the ambulance. “Okay, Mrs…” “Grey” “Mrs. Grey, they are taking Lucas to the ambulance right now, they will check on him, he drowned trying to save his sister, I’m going to explain everything to you until we get to the ambulance, can you just pack your stuff? Are you alone here?” “Yes, my husband is at work. And I already packed everything, it is in here.” “Good, come on. And I would like Lucy to have a check up as well, she hasn’t drowned but she could have drunk some water. We don’t want to take risks right?” With that I went up to the ambulance with the mom and then let the paramedics do their job. I hope the kid stays good.
I went back to the post and Josh was there. “What a way to end the shift right?” “Thank god, I found the boy under water. Otherwise it would ruin the day.” “Yeah, and the super boss shows up again to save the day.” “Stop.” “Fine, now get out of here. There are some people waiting for you. Go have some fun.” I had completely forgotten about them, time to go say hi, again.
Emily pov
We were still excited about what just happened at the beach.
“She is totally a badass, she was just talking with us and still caught the kids drowning in the water.” Tobin said. “When she left the girl alone at the board I was like ‘what is she doing?’ and then she just got the boy under water, that was amazing.” Christen said “That’s why she is the boss.” Ali complement.
“Okay, but let’s not forget how hot she is. When she ran toward the water, it was just like we were in Baywatch, and her body. God!” “Kelley!!” “What Linds, is not like you don’t agree with me you were drooling watching her doing her job.” Kelley fought back. “I was not…” Lindsey said pouting, Megan put a hand on her shoulder and said. “Sorry Linds but you totally were. But that’s fine, she is hot as fuck and I think that half of the girls here were drooling, even the “straight” ones”. She intensifies the quotation marks.
Then Christen intervened. “She also looks like a good person, she looks smart, determined and kind. You saw her with the little girl?” “Hey, I don’t have a competition do I?” Tobin protested. “Of course not babe, but she may be good for some other girls here. And watch out cause she is coming here.”
I looked behind me and Y/N was coming over, she had changed off her uniform and was now just in her swimming suit, a backpack and a surfboard. She was more beautiful, if that was even possible and hotter.
“Hey girls, my shift is just over. So I remembered that one of you challenged me on surfing. So I want to know if she is still up to it?” Ash stood up “Oh yeah, game on bitch. Tobs, Kell are you coming?” “Of course, let’s go.” Both of them replied.
Some girls went along with them for the water, others decided to take a walk on the sand and others were just going to lay and get a tan. Before Y/N followed the girls to the water she came near me. “So, beautiful, can I put my stuff here near you?” “I think so.” “Good, you’re not coming?” “Not today.” “Okay, be right back.” She winked at me and left toward the ocean.
I sat back in the sand and just watched her get some waves with the girls, she was stunning. Of course she was winning the challenge, but who cares, everyone was just amazed by her.
I was contemplating her beauty when Moe sat beside me and asked. “So, are you gonna spill the beans?” “There is nothing to spill. Don’t know what you are talking about?” “You sure do. If you do nothing the others will keep flirting with her and who knows what could happen.” I look at her shocked. “It’s in your eyes Sonny.”
An hour later everyone came back from the water and we went to play some footvolley. We paired everyone up and Y/N ended up being my partner. She was amazing at that and we had a lot of fun. She was flirting with me the whole time and I was hoping the girls weren't noticing it.
We stopped playing and were getting ready to leave, when Kelley whispered in my ear. “You better do something girl, she is flirting with you the whole day, everyone noticed. If you don’t do something we will.” “I don’t know what you are talking about.” She just shaked her head and went toward Ash and Tobin, whispered something to them and they went to Y/N.
“So Y/n, we had a lot of fun today and we really wanted to get to know you better. Tell us a little bit more about you.” Tobin asked. “Well, you already know I’m 25 and am a lifeguard. I graduated from the University of Virginia with a degree in exercise and sports science. I give surf classes for kids and I’m also a coach for some amatour surfer athletes. And I’m a sports lover.”
“Wait, too much information. You’re a surf coach?” Ashlyn asked incredibly. “Yeah? Sorry but you were the one who made the bet.” “That explains a lot.”
Becky was the one to speak now. “You went to Virginia? That’s awesome me too, so does Moe and Sonnett, but it doesn’t have a beach there.” “Yeah, I know. I took a pause from the beach while I was studying and worked at a waterpark over there.”
“I got a question…” Oh no, Kelley shut up. “Are you single?” With that Y/N wined her eyes and blush a little, she looked at me and then back to Kelley.
“No?” “You don’t seem too sure about that.” Tobin interjected. “I mean, no, I’m not single. But we haven’t told anyone besides family yet, so…” “Wait a second, so you’re not single? Are you sure? I’m way confused right now.” “Yeah, I’m sure. She actually loves soccer, she loves you guys.”
While the rest of the girls started asking other questions for Y/n. Kelley looked at me with a ‘sorry dude’ look. I understand why she was like that, I mean Y/n was indeed flirting with me, everyone was probably confused as to why she was flirting with me if she has a girlfriend. But they were clueless and I was having a lot of fun with it, so I decided to enjoy it a little bit more and so I spoke up.
“Hey Y/N we actually have the whole day off, so we were thinking of hanging out together and going out for dinner. What do you say? Wanna come?” Y/N looked at me with a intrigued look, but agreed either way. “Yeah, I would love to.”
“Your girlfriend would be okay with that?” Ashlyn asked. “Yeah she wouldn’t mind.”
“Maybe you can call her right now and talk to her just to make sure?” I said, Y/n was really confused right now, she was trying to understand what I mean with that. I just nodded and saw a smirk appear on her face. “Yeah, that will be great.” Some girls looked at me, don’t getting what I was doing. Christen added. “And if you want to invite her, you said she was a fan, we can surprise her if you want to” “Of course, it will be fun”.
Y/n got her phone and made the call. “So who is gonna talk?” Y/N look at me and I nod toward Kelley. “O’hara you think you can do it? She would love that?” Y/n asked “Of course. What's her name again?” “Oh, you don’t need that” She looked at her phone and back at me, I gave her a reassuring look as she started to talk.
“Hi babe. So I’m at the beach now, and there are some girls here that want to say hi to you.” She put on speaker for everyone to hear. “Hi. It’s Kelley O’hara here, and you are talking with half of the national team.” Silent went over the line, the girls started looking at each other and Y/n spoke.
“She is probably in shock, can you tell her about the dinner?” “Yeah, so we just asked Y/n if she wants to come to dinner with us and we also would like to invite you, so what do you say?” I waited a moment and answered on my phone. “I would love to, but I thought that as I was the one who made the invitation I was already invited.”
Everyone looked at me and then back to Y/n, they were in shock. Y/n has that stupid smile on her face that I love so much and answered. “That’s good babe, can’t wait.” We just kept looking at each other's eyes. Oh god, I love this girl so much. When Kelley yelled.
“Wait a minute. Why did you call Sonnett?” “Well you asked for me to call my girlfriend. So I did.” Y/n spoke with a smirk on her face “The Emily Sonnett, this girl here is your girlfriend?” “Hey, what do you mean by that? I can’t date a hot girl?”
With that I went to Y/n side, hugged her and she gave me a peck “And you let me, no, you let us, drool over you girlfriend and didn’t say a thing?” I couldn’t get the smile out of my face. “It was funny and I didn’t know yet if she was going to be okay with that.” “That is no excuse, you should have told me, it is not like I was going to tell the world.” Kelley complained and crossed her arms on her chest. “Okay Kelley, less drama. We are happy for you Sonny.” “Thanks Chris, someone here is mature.”
“Wait, does it mean that now we have to give Y/n the shovel talk?” Tobin asked with a serious face. “No!” I protest. “Sorry Sonnett, we have to, it's the team's rules.” Ash responded. “That’s okay babe, I can take it.”
“Fine, but only if Moe gets to be there.” “What? Why? Moe can’t hurt a fly” Becky said. “Because she will make sure you don’t scare Y/n away, she will be on her side.” “Why would she do that?” “Babe you can’t ask Moe that, just because she is my friend.” “Wait, Moe knew?” Kelley said, trying to look hurt. “Way to throw me under the bus Sonny.” Moe complained.
“Of course, she helped me with the plan of asking Y/n out. We studied together, you forgot?” “Of course you were all Cavaliers. That’s it Y/n you are coming with us for dinner, there is no space for debate. We need to see if you are good for Sonnett. Let’s go everyone” With Megan orders everyone start to go back to where the vans were. I got my stuff and I was about to follow the girls, when Y/n pulled my arm.
“Hey hot stuff, I missed you.” She passed her arms over my shoulders and I hugged her waist. “Hi babe, I missed you too. Sorry about doing it without asking you first. But when the girls pulled over and I saw which beach we were at and that you were here, I started thinking about it, and then you were so hot saving the boy, and the girls liked you so much, and they saw you flirting with me, so…” I was interrupted by a kiss. Y/n ’s lips were so soft and rough at the same time. The way she pulls me closer to her and deepens the kiss, I miss her so much.
“That’s okay honey. I loved meeting your teammates.” “What do you say about us skipping dinner? I really missed your lips...” I kissed her lips. “Your neck...” I kissed her neck, and started to touch her body. “I missed all of this, your body is perfect.” She gave a large sigh and pushed me away “Even though I would love to go to our house and make out with you for the rest of the night. I'm sure the girls wouldn’t approve of it. Let’s go, as soon as we get to dinner, sooner you can get this body.” “Nooo, I’m really regretting telling the girls today.” “The good point is that now you don’t have to sneak out anymore, you can always say you are going out with your girlfriend.” “Okay, but one last thing.” I gave her a passionate kiss, until we heard the girls yelling at us from afar. “I love you Y/n.” “I love you too Em. Now let’s go.” We intercalated our hands and walked to where the girls were waiting for us. This night was amazing and now I can say to the world that the Hot Lifeguard is mine.
You checked yourself in the mirror one last time before you decided to head downstairs. As you got downstairs, you saw Alex sitting on the sofa, scrolling on his phone, squinting a little as he got a text from Matt about the new album and Alex read it slightly aloud, barely above a whisper.
He typed a response as quick as he could, which wasn't very quick at all, and then he put his phone in his pocket then he noticed you and he stood up. "'ey, love. Um, wow, you look ... amazing," Alex said, walking over to you and giving you a chaste kiss on the cheek.
"Thank you, Alex. You look handsome," you said. Alex blushed even though he was normally the one who made you blush, not the other way around.
"Well, are you ready to go, love?" he asked. You nodded, quickly grabbing your heels and you put them on, then you both headed out the door, walking to the car.
The February air was cool and brisk and it danced across your legs as you had worn a dress and you shivered. "You alright, love?" Alex asked as you both reached the car.
"Yeah, just a bit cold," you said, stepping into the car as Alex had opened the door for you and then he walked around to the opposite side and then he too got in and then he turned the car on and began to drive towards the restaurant.
You had been looking forward to this night for nearly a month, which was when Alex gad told you that he was taking you out for your anniversary, no care for if you or him had to do things. The only thing that he wanted to do tonight was celebrate yours and his fifth year dating and he wanted to make it special. Just like you had made those five years special for him.
Luckily, the drive wasn't that long and you, and Alex, were very happy about that, already excited to see what he had planned for you both because he told you that he had a very special surprise for you at the end of dinner.
Alex turned into the parking lot and parked the car. You and him unbuckled your seatbelts and got out of the car. He walked over to you and grabbed your hand and kissed your temple. "You ready, me love?" Alex asked.
"Yeah. Lead the way, handsome," you smiled. Alex chuckled and you two began to walk inside of the restaurant and up to the podium where a waitress was standing.
"Hello there, how can I help you two today?" she asked.
"Uh, we 'ave a reservation for Turner," Alex said. The waitress looked through the book that was on the podium before she found the name. "Table for two, correct?" she asked him. Alex nodded and she took two menus and began to lead you two to the table that was almost completely secluded from the rest of the tables. The waitress laid down the menus and you and Alex sat down. "Someone will be with you in just a moment to take your order," the waitress said and then she walked away.
You picked up the menu and began to look at it. "You look so pretty, love," Alex said, watching you as you looked over the menu. "Thank you, Al," you said, looking up at him from your menu and you set your right hand on the table. Alex grabbed your hand and gave it a chaste kiss, his beard lightly scratching at your skin.
Soon enough, another lady came to take your orders, which you both gave to her and she walked away towards the kitchen. It was about five minutes before the same waitress came back with a bottle of red wine that Alex had ordered beforehand and two glasses and she poured the wine into them and then walked away again, leaving the bottle of wine with you two. Alex picked up his glass, smiling at you. "Well, shall we toast, me love?" he asked, raising up his eyebrow.
"Yes we shall, Al," you smiled and you both raised up your glasses.
"To us. 'appy five year anniversary to the most beautiful, smart, kind, amazing girlfriend I could've ever asked for," Alex said.
"To us," you said, your glasses clinging together and then you both took a sip of the wine. "I love you, Alex," you added.
The past five years that you and him had spent together were some of the best years that you'd ever had, and you wouldn't have wanted it to be any different. He'd made you feel like the most special girl in the world, made you feel loved and adored, and not to mention the fact that he was there for you Through thick and thin he was always there in your corner to always make sure that you were okay.
"I love you more than you could ever imagine," Alex muttered under his breath, taking another sip of his wine as did you. Alex once again reached over the table to grab your hand and his thumb soothingly rubbed over your knuckle. "What're you doing, Al?" you laughed.
"I don't know, just like to be touching you at all times," he said and you smiled, moving your hand to hold his. His lips pulled into an adorable, cute smile. "You're actually like a puppy," you joked, laughing a bit more whenever he playfully pouted.
Stuff like this happened until your food arrived and you started eating it, stealing a little of Alex's food occasionally, and he stole some of yours when you were looking away.
It didn't take very long for you to finish your food as you were quite hungry, Alex on the other hand though took much longer than you had expected, taking what felt like forever for him to chew the smallest amount of food which was abnormal for him because he would always eat much faster than you, so you wondered why he was taking forever.
As you were waiting for Alex to finish with his salad and his steak, the waitress came back by and handed you a menu for dessert and you started to look over it. "Al ... do you want any dessert?" you asked. He took another bite of his steak and took a sip of his wine before he looked up at you. "Depends on what there is," he said, looking at you looking at the menu.
"Well, what would you like? I'm sure that they'll have it," you said, not yet looking up at him.
"Umm, chocolate cake, cherry cheesecake ... uh, you," he said, muttering the last part under his breath.
"Sorry, what was that, I didn't catch the last part?" you asked, finally looking up from the menu.
"Oh, nothing, nothing," he answered quickly before he started naming off more desserts that he liked, stopping in between each dessert to take a bite of his food. And then finally, after what felt like ten hours, which was actually forty-five minutes, he was done naming off foods and done eating his salad and steak. "Well, Al, it seems that they have all of those desserts, so which one do you want?" you asked. He took a moment to think before answering your question. "Um, I'll 'ave whatever you're having," he said, scratching over his coppery goatee, that was actually long enough to be a beard in your mind, that he had started to grow near the end of 2016 and you were very, very glad that he did. He just made it look so damn hot.
"Okay then," you said, telling him what you were going to have for dessert and he nodded. You and him patiently waited for the waitress to come back, and soon enough, she did and Alex ordered for the both of you. The waitress walked away again and you and Alex started up another conversation.
"So, Alex, what else do you have planned for tonight?" you asked, taking a long sip from your wine glass.
"You'll just have to wait and see, me love," he answered. You leaned forward, resting your head on your hands that were propped up by your elbows. "Oh, come on, give me a little hint," you said. "Please, Alex."
"No, me love, I can't tell you just yet, but I promise, you'll love it," he said. Your dessert was then brought out and you quickly dug into it, Alex did the same as well and it wasn't long until you were both finished with it, Alex finishing his before you. "Well, love, I don't think that I can eat anymore, you?" Alex stated.
"Yeah, I'm pretty full too," you replied, asking for the bill. Alex got out his wallet and paid with cash, leaving a generous tip and then you and him left, walking to the car and you both got in, Alex starting the car, beginning to drive back to yours and his house.
You turned your head and looked him up and down, licking your lips, couldn't keep your eyes off of him, and you assumed that it was because of the wine that you had drank whenever you placed your hand on his thigh, rubbing it up and down, inching closer and closer to his crotch. "What're you doing, love?" Alex asked, grabbing your hand, placing it in your lap.
"I wasn't doing anything, Alex," you said, placing your hand back on his thigh much closer to his crotch than before though.
"Love, if you keep doing that, you know it won't end well for you," he said nonchalantly, speeding up the car.
"What're you going to do?" you asked, your hand moving to cup the bulge that was now forming in his pants and he groaned in response. He was now desperate to get home, so quickly too. Thankfully, the house was just one turn away. "You're going to get it when we get home, love," he said matter-of-factly.
You arrived at the house and Alex quickly got out and you followed, rushing inside the house and once you were inside, he already had you pushed up against the wall, kissing you deeply, his tongue fighting yours into submission with ease, though he soon began to move his kisses down your neck, suckling and biting on your sweet spot, eliciting a loud moan from you and your hands quickly found their way into his hair, tugging hardly on it.
You felt Alex hard against your thigh as he started to grind onto you and one of your hands left his hair to palm him over the fabric of his pants. "You're eager," you managed to choke out, moaning whenever he nudged your thighs apart and began to rub your folds through the fabric of your underwear, feeling how wet you already were for him.
"S-So are you, love, so fucking wet for me," he said, moving your underwear to the side, running his fingers through your folds, spreading you arousal around before he moved them down to your entrance, pushing two of his fingers inside you.
"Oh, fuck," you said, voice trailing off into a moan when he started to move them in and out of you at a quick pace and you started to grind onto his hand, craving more friction, feeling your orgasm approach very quickly, quicker than you would've expected.
"A-Alex, I'm close," you breathed out, you were so damn close so damn fast. His thumb quickly found your clit and began to rub circles on it.
"Let go for me, love," he said, pushing his fingers deep inside you, curling them at the same time, tipping you over the edge, the waves of pleasure washing over you tugging harshly on his hair, moaning loudly.
You came down and Alex finally looked back up at you. "What do you want, me love?" he asked you, brushing a few strands of hair out of your face.
"Fuck me."
He lifted up your thigh, signaling for you to jump and you did, Alex carrying you to the bedroom, setting you down on the bed and you sat up slightly to lift your dress up and over your head, discarding it to the side and you watched as he shuffled out of his own clothes and you quickly pulled down your underwear and removed your bra as Alex shuffled out of his boxers, crawling back over you.
He nudged your thighs apart, giving himself a few tugs before he aligned his cock up with your entrance, pushing in, bottoming out in two pushes, giving you time to adjust to his size before he began to move, setting a pace that gradually got faster.
You instinctively closed your eyes, reveling in the feeling of his cock stroking your walls, hitting the spot that made you see stars and you gripped onto his biceps that were holding him up above you, and then, he stopped moving and you opened your eyes quickly.
"You look at me while I'm fucking you, okay?" he said and you nodded; Alex started to move again, faster though and you were already struggling to keep your eyes open.
A knot soon formed in your stomach and you felt your second orgasm approaching so damn fast again. "I-I'm close, Alex," you breathed out.
"Hold on, me love," he said, his hand coming in between your bodies to rub harshly on your clit, flicking it at the same time as his cock hit the spot that made you see stars once again and you shook, pleasure washing over you completely. The feeling of your walls contracting around his cock was just enough to send Alex over the edge too, his movements stilling as you felt his cock twitch and his hot release coat your walls, collapsing on top of you.
You both reveled and the afterglow of your orgasms, panting heavily, and Alex sighed before he pulled out of you, laying down beside you. "Oh, shit," he breathed out.
"What, Al?" you asked, turning on your side to cuddle up to him.
"I-I were going to ask you something, but now it's just going to be less romantic," he said.
"Well, you can still ask me, Al," you said, kissing his collarbone lightly.
"Okay, stay here," he said, getting up and he put on a fresh pair of boxers and he left the room. You were confused for a moment until he came back with a black velvet box and he kneeled in the floor beside you and you sat up, using the comforter to cover yourself up.
"Well, like I said, it's not as romantic as I'd like it to be, but who cares. But, um, w-will you marry me?" he asked, opening the box to show a beautifully cut diamond ring.
"Y-Yes, Alex, yes!" you squealed, grabbing his face and kissing him deeply. Alex took your ring finger and slid it on. "'appy, anniversary, me love," he muttered before climbing back into bed with you.
Through the Looking Glass Ruins!!!!!
…
SO! Onto other things first…
WRATH IS BRAXAS’ FATHER!??!!? HOLY SHIT, Wrath is a canonical dad, I’d always expressed my… OH MY GOD WRATH IS DAD! And of BRAXAS, that sweetie… How is Braxas such a sweetie with a father like HIM, also-
Wrath was in casual wear? Either he has a day off, or he got fired by Belos/Kikimora after drawing Luz a map to Eda in Young Blood, Old Souls! Either way this guy has a sudden new level of NUANCE that I am reeling from, and yes I checked, that really is Wrath according to the credits! Dang this puts everything in a WHOLE new light…!
AMITY HAIR OHMIGOD IT LOOKS SO ADORABLE SHE’S SELF-ACTUALIZING I AM FUCKING SCREAMING HOLY SHIT OH MY GOD!!! OH MY GOD OH MY GOD, it’s PINK and not green… They acknowledged it, Emira did! And they CHANGED IT I AM LOSING MY FUCKING MIND OVER THIS-
She looks so BEAUTIFUL and I love the kind of foreshadowing with the bookends of our first shot of Amity having her hair down, and now it’s changed! And she looks adorable and EMIRA AND EDRIC BEING GREAT SIBLINGS I LOVE IT SO MUCH! This… THIS is everything I wanted! I was resigned to not much of them but HELL YEAH they’re being good siblings and we get a look at their rooms, we see them doing MAKEOVERS together this is everything from my favorite fanon content and MORE,
Also Edric has a date?! Emira says ‘their’ mom… Unless the Golden Guard has a mom, DARN! Not gonna lie, I half-expected a big twist at the end that Edric was dating the Golden Guard, who was doing some sort of reconnaissance as his unrecognized normal self and/or screwing around with the Blights even further, but in a GENUINE sense… But then who knows Kikimora could be posing as GG’s ‘mom’, this is a stretch anyhow-
JUST HELL YEAH Blight Twins! Blight Twins being sweet and mischievous and supportive of each other, Blight SIBLINGS being siblings, Emira being an older sister and giving advice! And AMITY, Amity mentioning how much Luz has changed stuff, I love that they acknowledge it openly how her life has completely shifted, and now… NOW…!
No necklace! Red leggings! PINK HAIR?! Is this why Amity in the intro hasn’t been updated yet… She was getting TWO updates, so the animators decided to only animate a change after this final update?!
King and Gus are also friends it seems, and they even recorded some fun together! I’m surprised at how much Bria and the others mock Gus’ illusion skills… Obviously Belos is kinda terrible but like; I don’t think he’d set aside an entire subset of magic into Illusions without reason! Also that nightmare trip… I LOVE IT, I love Gus applying the creativity of illusions in their ability to completely warp and distort someone’s sense of reality! And I called that dragon-thing being an illusion!
A graveyard… I wonder if the Gallderstones (is that how it’s spelled) have any relevance or if they’re just neat? I hope Mattholomule and Gus help hide the Looking Glass Graveyard… Damn, that’s another Death reference with Gus, huh! Is it culminating in his respect for the dead, or will it continue further with Gus being a necromancer, or an Oracle who can commune with the deceased, and he has their respect as someone who treats them properly?!
Also not to get dark but… What if all those Illusionists are dead because of Belos? I’m JUST SAYING…! And not gonna lie, every time someone insulted Illusions, I kept imagining the Illusion Head just suddenly waking up and feeling like there’s a disturbance in the force, as well as a weird compulsion to beat up some Glandus kids. It’d be even funnier if he had beef with the Construction, Plant, and Abomination Heads as well!
Speaking of which, more confirmation on Construction Magic being related to earth! Glad to see Bria give us a look into that, which furthers my idea of Belos using construction magic… Also dang, Bria and the Glandus Kids really are the parallels/foils to the Detention kids! You’ve got the short ‘nice’ girl, the tall lanky kid, the furry… But the Glandus Kids start off looking nice and cool, but turn out to be rather nasty!
Meanwhile the Detention Kids seem like bad news and delinquents, but no! They’re just demonized and actually very kind and chill! The Detention Kids are looked down upon, the Glandus Kids are appraised… The Detention Kids are dual-track, the Glandus Kids are singular; Glandus Kids from, well, GLANDUS, Detention Kids from Hexside… One’s ‘mischief’ is actually very neat and cool, the other’s is literal grave robbing.
I guess that’s how the bleeding statues got past the censors- It’s technically just an illusion! Also more insight into how Glandus works with its Survival of the Fittest mentality, I wonder if we’ll get confirmation on which coven heads came from there, how that might influence them as adults…
What is Glandus like, is it more whole-heartedly accepting of Belos’ rule, hence its harsh ideals? Was it made after Hexside? Does Bump hate it for being so cruel like that, or is it just school bias? And dang poor Mattholomule, I always had a feeling he sort of felt and knew that he wasn’t much, so he accepted and compensated by deliberately doing whatever he can for power…
They confirmed he’s from Glandus, and I appreciate this new look at him! This new leaf turned… Hot take but he’s honestly not as bad as Boscha, his stint with Gus was a one-time thing that Gus was able to live with! And that seems pretty good to set them up as friends! Speaking of Boscha, Willow was injured by pixies? And the last time we heard of pixies, they belonged to Boscha and caused the school to get shut down… Did BOSCHA DO THIS I SWEAR SHE IS DEAD TO ME-
(Also she’s mentioned in the credits for this episode but I don’t remember hearing her? I might’ve gotten distracted with so much other things.)
Gus! I like the insight into his relationship with Illusions, and I appreciate how he’s considering other forms of magic… But this hesitation might just serve to reaffirm his believe in Illusions, which is okay! It’s all about choice… And yeah, it seems Gus also has a case of impostor syndrome like King, no wonder they get along so well! I love the glimpses into Gus’ house and the confirmation that he has a library card, no Perry though alas…!
I appreciate how Gus feels overlooked, like he has no real substance, which is how his Illusions reflect a desire to draw attention, but also the idea that there’s nothing real beneath them… Again, very much like King! And Gus, he’s not a powerhouse like the rest, he’s SKILLED and smart, but strength isn’t his forte, it’s not brute force he operates on, but cleverness! Trickery, I like it…! It’s a nice callback to his last A-plot episode, SVSF, where instead of fighting Mattholomule physically, Gus’ solution is to think outside the box and pull the alarm!
You go kid, not relying on brute strength but showing that some clever tricks and thinking are just as valid! Kinda wonder if this episode is lowkey a discussion on masculinity for young boys, especially with Gus growing older with puberty, though the latter is mostly because his actual VA grew… But maybe the writers rolled with that and incorporated it, or it’s just a very neat coincidence! Also, it is me or did Mattholomule’s voice change? And the gag that Gavin’s dad looks identical to him, even moreso because he’s NOT supposed to have a moustache… That’s great!
Malphas! Love this reference to a classic demon, I wasn’t sure if Malphas was the librarian with glasses whom I’ve always headcanoned as a father figure to Amity… But maybe it’s actually this bird dude! He seems adept in Bard magic, and I love the reveal of his true crow appearance… Guess those theorists were right that the one-eyed figure is from the Forbidden Stacks! Also Malphas NOT COOL with Amity, but I’m glad Luz changed his mind, and I wonder how that adventure looked…
Which- DAMN, the RSD with Luz! She looks so UTTERLY BROKEN when Amity mentions doing stupid things, and she didn’t mean it like that, but Luz just looks so completely shattered and you can tell she wants to cry but instead she bottles it up and tries to take it in stride, and that plays into her trying to overcompensate for her mistakes AGAIN… SOMEONE GET IT TO HER HEAD that she doesn’t need to! I’m scared for Luz, and I was SO scared this episode would end on a bad note…
BUT DOAHLDdFAEONDKFHN LUMITY KISS LUMITY KISS! ONE-SIDED BUT THEY FINALLY FUCKING KNOW AND AMITY IS LIKE WHAAAAT AND I WAS WAITING FOR IT AND I COULD FEEL IT HAPPEN AND GAY KISS! GAY KISS ON-SCREEN!!! And the way Luz just FLOPS to the ground on her knees AAHJJFFKHGGK and no Alador nor Odalia to ruin this, UTTERLY PERFECT and the twins WATCHING OOOHHHHGGGG YYYEEAAAAHHH-
This is EVERYTHING I ever wanted!
What an AMAZING episode with wonderful characer beats and reveals! Again, Amity’s growth as a character, that brief insight into how Luz as a person is very chaotic and sometimes frustrating for Amity and forces her to reevaluate, but ultimately it’s good and Luz DOES try her best, and Amity clearly wanted to make things up for Luz and apologize, they’re BOTH doing things, just the little moments!
Also, Alex Lawther voices Philip Wittebane! He has long hair and a vaguely british accent, he’s… He’s Belos isn’t he? And they got a new VA because having him voiced by Matthew Rhys would be really spoiler-y right? He’s got the long hair and he’s a nerd… And with how he talks of finding a way back home, maybe Belos really DOES just want to return home, after all? He talks of making a way back home…
And we see a glimpse of the Portal, so it might’ve brought him there? Or did Philip succeed in making it, and that was his blueprint designs? Did he arrive by Titan’s Blood? What happened to the portal if it brought him there, or if he made it? Why the scar, why near Eda’s house, partially buried?
Was it lost before he could finish his work, and Philip got side-tracked into something else… Perhaps going on a crusade, on behalf of a curse/demon that possessed him? A demon that killed King’s father…? Was the portal broken and he had to discard it, but then it naturally healed- Or did it just need to recharge, maybe Philip DID make it back home, WHAT IS THE ANSWER?! Is there some sort of doppelganger for Philip, is BELOS his doppelganger?! What is THIS WHAT-
WHAT AN EPISODE!
Dangerous | Helmut Zemo
AU! Race car driver Zemo 😎
Gender neutral reader
Collage by @realremyd
[Masterlist]
[Previous chapter] - [Next chapter]
Part 4
Zemo stared at his phone which he had sat on his desk. His car has been fixed up and he was about to go test run it, but his mind wasn't focused on the car. All he could think about was you.
Sam pokes his head into the office.
"Ready for the test run?"
Zemo looks up, acting as if his mind hasn't been elsewhere, and nodded. He glances at his phone once more before leaving with Sam.
You hadn't contacted him and he was missing you. He had no idea it would be this bad. It had been a couple of days since you had left and he was wishing time had paused that day, anything to spend a few extra minutes with you.
He looks at his car. He needed to put his racing mind on. He grabs his helmet, and gears up. Once he's in the car, he is in racer mode.
When you stepped off the train, your friend was waiting eagerly. She squealed as she ran over to you and pulled you into a hug. You chuckled as she nearly caused you to fall over.
"I've missed you!"
"I was only gone a couple of days," you chuckle.
"I know, but still. Something super amazing has happened and I'm about to lose my mind!"
"What is it?"
You both begin to leave the station, you eager to hear what is so exciting.
"Remember Tony Stark?"
Of course you did. You had literally seen him that weekend, racing.
"Yes."
"Well-"
As you exit the station, you come to a stop. Right in front of you is a limousine. Sleek, black, and expensive looking.
You look at your friend in shock.
"Explain."
Tony Stark climbs out of the limo before she can. You stare in shock. What was he even doing here? Shouldn't he be off training for the next race? Why was he here?
Your friend skips over to him and he places an arm around her.
"What is happening?"
Your friend smiles away, leaning against the billionaire beside her. Maybe you were imagining this. Tony Stark could not be here.
"Y/N, this is my boyfriend."
You are so sure your brain malfunctioned right there. You drop your bag and try to figure if you actually heard that.
You friend laughs as she grabs your bag and puts it into the limo.
"For real?" You ask, looking at Stark.
"For real." He grins.
"Come on, we'll take you home," your friend urges you into the limo. You cannot believe this is happening.
Once you're all in, your friend gives the driver your address and you all set off. You can only stare as she practically drapes herself over his lap.
You feel so confused.
The car was filled only with silence for the reminder of the ride. It was awkward and suffocating, but there was nothing you could say.
When the limo stopped outside of your apartment, you climbed out. Your friend got out too. You pulled her off to the side.
"How? When? How long has this been a thing?" You ask, rapidly firing out your questions.
"He asked me out. That night a couple weeks ago. At the party. The one you didn't come to."
"And you're only mentioning this now?"
"He asked me to wait, so I did. Then a couple days ago, he called me and said he was ready for to tell people."
"A couple of days ago? Friday?"
"Yeah."
You glance back at the car. Friday was race day. Was that a coincidence?
"I'm your friend, why didn't you tell me?"
"I promised I wouldn't until he said I could. I really like him Y/N."
"Do you? Are you in love with him because he's amazing and loves you? Or because he's your favourite pro racer and billionaire?" You narrow you gaze at her.
Her jaw is clenched, eyes hazy with tears.
"That's not fair."
"It's very fair. I don't think you've thought this through."
She let's her tears fall, drops your bag at your feet, pushes you back, and then climbs into the car. You watch the limo drive off before you pick up your bag and go inside your home.
Something didn't sit right with you.
You throw your bag on your bed, deciding to unpack later, and slump down on your sofa. Your mind flickered to Zemo.
You hadn't contacted him. You could have done so on the train. You grab your phone and send him a message.
You: Hey :) I hope I didn't keep you waiting.
You put the phone down and wait. He was probably busy, but you would wait. Closing your eyes, you could almost imagine being back in his car, speeding down the road like crazy. You missed that feeling.
Life was too slow now.
You yearned to be a part of Zemo's lifestyle. You wanted to be beside him, cheering his name, watching as he wins against Stark.
Speaking of, you would have to make arrangements. You needed to check your work schedule and make sure you had that weekend off.
You didn't want to miss a race.
You feel asleep with those thoughts. The wind in your hair, laughter filling the car, Zemo looking over at you with a smile. He was right there in your dreams.
Zemo had done several laps up and down the runway. He would take it down to the track tomorrow to test it out proper, but for now it was in great condition.
The moment he changed out of his gear, he went to collect his things from the office. Picking up his phone, his heart leaped with joy when he saw the text.
You: Hey :) I hope I didn't keep you waiting.
He smiled at his phone and immediately saved your number.
Y/N❤
It felt right to put you in his phone like that. He mentally scolded himself for getting carried away, but he didn't change it. He left it like that and replied.
Zemo: You did, but I'll forgive you. You can make it up to me when I see you next.
He smiled as he tucked his phone away and prepared to head home. On the drive home, his mind turned to you again. There was a silly grin on his face. He would take this third race as a sign. If you showed up, he would take you for that drink, and maybe something would happen. He was not ready to let you go just yet.
A thought crossed his mind.
What if he visited you before the race? He would surely be able to get you to give up your address to him. You would with the drive up. Maybe next could take a peek into your life.
Would you like that?
Never before had he questioned himself so much. When it came to you, there was doubt in his mind. It's not as if you were his anyway. Friend? Yes, quite possibly. Nothing more.
Yet, he yearned for it.
Would you enter his world if invited you? Perhaps he would keep that question up his sleeve until the time seemed right.
It wasn't until he was at home that he got a reply. You must have been busy.
You: That's fair. Assuming I make it, of course.
He smiled at your response.
Zemo: I'll be disappointed if you don't come. I may need your luck again.
You: Yes, because that went so well last time.
Zemo: My losing was no your fault. I blame Stark.
There was several minutes of silence before your next response.
You: How is the car?
Zemo: In working order. I'm going to tinker with it some more. I won't stop until it's up to standard.
You: You must be very busy then.
Zemo: Not too busy that I can't talk to you.
It was so easy to be all bold when you were communicating by text.
You: Cute, but I'm not falling for that ;)
Two could play that game, it seemed.
Zemo: May I ask you something?
You: Of course
Zemo: Where do you work?
You: Why? I can tell you now, it's no where as cool as your job.
Zemo: I want to know more about you.
There was another pause before your response. This one was a little longer than other and Zemo wondered if he had crossed a line.
Then you replied.
You: At cafe, it's called The Redwing. Nice enough place, but not as exciting as your job.
The Redwing? He had heard that name before. Sam came to mind as he thought about it. Zemo smiled.
Zemo: Sounds interesting to me.
You: If you say so. No fast cars here though, just people wanting coffee.
Zemo: I want to hear more, but perhaps some other time. I should eat before I fall asleep on my couch. See you soon?
A couple minutes go by, and then:
You: Maybe ;)
He smiled a smug grin as he put his phone down. He would see you soon, you just didn't know how soon.
Seemed like Zemo had a call to make.
Hello!! I hope you’re well💓 could i request a blurb of reader getting surprised by Grayson’s love confession because they thought he had a type and would never date them? thank you in advance!!💓
this is hella long and took a turn, sorry if it’s not exactly what u want i got a little off track LMAO
Grayson was universally known or being the type to sleep with many girls. This included mainly white, skinny models. You were friends with him and Ethan for a while, and you definitely had feelings for him that were more than friendly.
You comforted him through every nasty breakup, and you quickly became best friends. You were always there for him, and was for you as well.
Although all you wanted was for him to be happy, every time he told you about his new girlfriend or hookup, a piece of your heart broke. Nearly always they were another social media influencer, and they were all beyond gorgeous.
You hated feeling insecure, but every time you compared yourself to those girls, the self-consciousness overwhelmed you.
You had little experience with dating compared to him, but you had your fair share of boyfriends here and there. Every time you got into a new relationship, Grayson always tried to interject. He was oddly possessive over you, and after a while you just stopped telling him if you were going on a date to prevent his endless lectures about why you were to good for the men you were seeing.
It pissed you off deeply, considering you always supported him in his dating life no matter how problematic the girl seemed.
The girls he dated were typically somewhat rude to you; you understood that it was probably suspicious that you two were so close, but you knew the chances of Grayson ever liking you like that were slim to none.
Part of that was due to how different you were than his ‘type’. You were middle- eastern, short, and more curvy. Any time you said anything self- depricating towards your appearance, Grayson assured you you were nothing short of beautiful. Sometimes, it was just really hard for you to believe him when he said that.
You were about to head out to go to lunch with a guy you met online. You had been messaging back and forth when he finally asked you out. You agreed excitedly, hoping that you would finally find the right person for you.
Of course, Grayson was oblivious to your plans, and you were planning to keep it that way.
However, fate had other ideas when you left your phone on the counter to quickly run to bathroom.
Grayson walked to sit down in the chairs at the kitchen island. When he pushed the chair out, your phone screen lit up with a new message. He hesitated before reaching for it. He immediately frowned, reading the text.
Alex
Excited for tonight! Can’t wait to finally meet you :)
Grayson stared at the screen confused, wondering who Alex was. Just then, you sighed, rushing back into the kitchen to grab your phone, stopping when you saw him holding it.
“Who’s Alex?” He asked, laughing.
“Uh.” you began, “He’s a guy that I met, we’re going out to lunch. I must have forgotten to tell you,” you chuckled awkwardly, trying to cover up the fact that you did not forget to tell him, and rather that you were trying to hide it from him.
“Oh,” he said solemnly. You rolled your eyes.
“Save it, Grayson, I’m going,” you spoke, snatching your phone from his hands.
“Wait,” he interrupted, using his forearm to block the door, preventing you from exiting. You glared at him and inhaled sharply.
“Grayson, please, I really have to go, okay?”
“At least let me pick you up,” he tried to negotiate.
“Gray, how do you think it would look if he saw you picking me up from my date,” you laughed.
“Just say it’s an uber,” he reasoned.
“No. I’m leaving, I’ll see you later,” you demanded, finally leaving the house.
-
You shivered, rubbing your arms up and down to create warmth. You checked your phone.
2:45 p.m.
Alex was supposed to arrive at 1:45. You exhaled, going to your contacts to call Grayson, grimacing as you pressed on his number. You knew he was going to use this as an example in the future as to why you should listen to him when he tells you not to go on dates.
“Hello?” He answered, and his tone was surprisingly apologetic, completely opposite of the smug voice you expected him to have.
“Um, he never came,” you whispered.
“Are you kidding me?” He groaned. “What a fucking asshole,”
“Uh- yeah. Can you just pick me up please?” You said on the verge of tears. It was silent for a moment.
“Yeah, I got you Y/n,” he said sternly.
“Thank you,” you said.
“You know I always will be here for you. I’m already on the way, text me the location. I’ll get there as soon as possible,”
“Ok. Bye,” you gulped, hitting decline. You sent him the address of the restaurant, sitting down at a bench nearby on the sidewalk.
He arrived no later than five minutes, immediately jumping out and rushing towards you. He had his Kid Cudi sweatshirt in his hand, throwing it to you as he stood, waiting for you to put it on and gather your stuff. You got up and walked to the passenger door, getting in and shutting it behind you.
You both sat in silence, waiting for each other to say something.
You choked. “God, I feel so pathetic.” The tears started to freely stream down your face.
Grayson scoffed. “You need to stop feeling bad for yourself. He’s a piece of shit. I hate when you let yourself get walked all over by these stupid guys. You’re an amazing girl, I don’t know how they can’t see that.”
The last line struck a nerve, and your crying worsened, now graduating to full on sobs.
“If I’m so amazing, why don’t you ever choose me,” you spoke quietly.
“What?” He looked up, shocked.
“You always say that I’m a great girl and any guy would be lucky to have me but the only guy I want is you. I only ever talk to guys because I’m trying to get over you,” you explained. “I mean, do you even understand how exhausting it is to sit back and watch you fall in love over and over again? While I sit on the sidelines and comfort you when you get fucked over? I’m sick of it, Grayson. I’m sick of always being the second choice. I don’t even know why I keep waiting, you’ll never choose me. Look at me,” you cried, gesturing to your body.
Grayson stared at you with his mouth open. He gulped, looking out the window to his left. He turned back to you, grabbing your hand.
“Listen to me, Y/n,” he began. “You have no idea how unbelievably in love with you I am. If I knew that was how you felt you absolutely would have been my first choice, and I am so fucking sorry for making you feel any less than that. I talked to all those girls to get over you as well,”
“Really?” You said, gazing back up at him. “You really like me like that?
He looked at you puzzlingly. “Of course. You are the most beautiful woman I’ve ever laid eyes on,”
You smiled softly, squeezing his hand. You two remained eye contact until he finally leaned in, softly pressing his lips to yours. You kissed back gently, and he pulled away after.
He grasped your arm, bringing it into him as he engulfed you into a firm hug.
“I choose you, Y/n Y/l/n.”
Okay, okay I have Thoughts about the Backrooms post and your tags. The kid's YT name is Alex Pixels and he's still running the series. His Blender skills are insane. The Gigachad thing is not him. After Backrooms went viral, a lot of people started making backrooms stuff to look like his, and no some people can't be normal about it.
But fear not, the original Backrooms video creator isn't making stuff like that. And I do encourage you to check out his other videos. They are masterclasses in Blender work, and he's recently got into live action directing, which is also really good.
Oh yeah no I shoulda been more clear I am so sad to see what OTHER people turned his amazing project into. I've loved following his stuff. He really is emerging talent and I honestly hope he takes his talent and runs with it cause to make something this wonderful with NO funding is impressive. His sound design and directing is really neat. I've seen some people roll their eyes at his stuff but I think that's such a shame. It isn't his fault other people wanna be annoying jsbdjd legitimately tho he's got skill and an interesting eye. I really really hope he doesn't get discouraged because people are trying to copy him or dunk on his work.
Making Amends- All Time Low Fanfiction
When Zack finds out he ruined a surprise that Alex had for him, he does everything he can to make it right. Word Count:
More notes at the end.
“Hey, Alex, what’s going on, babe?” Zack asked into his phone as he walked around the mall with Rian and Jack.
“Not much, I was just wondering when you were going to be home?” Alex asked in reply.
“Um, I’m not sure, probably in an hour or so. Why?”
“Well, I think we should go out to dinner tonight. Maybe to that steakhouse that we really love?”
“That’s pretty fancy, Alex. Maybe we can, I’m a bit tired, but I’ll decide before I get home. Is that cool with you?”
“Yeah, I guess so. I’ll go ahead and make the reservation, and we can just go from there,”
“Okay, that sounds good to me. Love you,”
“I love you, too. Have fun with the guys,” Alex said, as Zack hung up the phone, and placed it back into his pocket.
“Was that Alex?” Jack asked his friend.
“Yeah, he wants to go to that really nice steakhouse apparently. I really like that place, don’t get me wrong, but it’s just really fancy. We just got back from tour, like, last week, I don’t really want to get super dressed up and deal with people, y’know?” Zack said, as Rian and Jack shared a glance.
“I get that, but you guys should go! You guys haven’t gotten to have a proper date like that in a long time! Also, you guys are pretty serious, right?” Rian continued.
“I’d say so, I mean, it’s been a couple years now, and we really love each other. It’s kind of weird, though, I feel like he was a bit distant this past tour. What do you guys think? Am I just overthinking shit?” Zack asked back.
“Nah, I don’t think so. I think Alex was super invested into getting some stuff taken care of when he had the time to, but I don’t think his feelings about you have decreased in any way,” Jack explained.
“I hope not. I mean, I can see a future with him, I guess things have just felt different lately,”
“Well, I bet everything is going to be okay with him, you guys are really good for each other. I can tell you make each other really happy,” Rian added.
“Okay, this is getting weird, we never talk about me and Alex like this. Let’s go back to normal now, and go into a few more stores before we leave for the day,” Zack requested, laughing at his friends.
“Whatever you say. Hey look, it’s one of those ‘As Seen on TV’ stores! Let’s check that out!” Jack exclaimed, leading his friends to the store.
The three of them took their time browsing all of the fun products, Jack eventually deciding to buy a few things. Once they were done in that store, they popped in and out of a few others, spending an hour and a half in total doing this.
“Shit, Zack, you told Alex you’d be home half an hour ago! Time really got away from us, you should head home!” Rian exclaimed, looking at the time on his watch.
“Damn, you’re right, man. I think he’ll be okay, are you sure you didn’t want to go in that one last store you’d mentioned?” Zack asked in reply.
“Yeah, I’m sure, we can always come back another day. Have fun at your dinner with Alex, I’m sure it’ll be nothing short of amazing,” Rian said, a huge grin forming on his face.
“You have to tell us all about it!” Jack added, the same smile sneaking up on him, too.
“Man, you two are being extra weird right now. I guess I’ll get going, have a good rest of your day. Hopefully the four of us can get together soon,” Zack replied.
“For sure, dude. See you later!” Jack exclaimed as Zack started to walk to the other side of the mall, to where his car was parked.
It was a bit of a long walk, since the mall was on the larger side, but Zack eventually made it to his car. He pulled his phone out to sync up the Bluetooth and noticed a few texts from Alex asking where he was. Zack rolled his eyes, he knew it was because Alex loved him, but he could get a bit clingy at times, which Zack had mixed feelings about. After sending a text saying he was on his way home, Zack started to drive.
He sang along to his favorite songs, mostly to try and keep himself awake, as he was a bit worn out from his day at the mall. As good as the steakhouse sounded, Zack hoped that Alex would be okay with taking a raincheck and going another night, he was in the mood to just relax today.
Eventually, he pulled into the driveway, then grabbed the couple bags he’d acquired throughout the day before heading in through the front door. Zack set his bags by the banister, then went to find his boyfriend.
“Alex, are you here?” Zack called out, peaking his head into the den and dining room, not having any luck.
Zack checked the kitchen, then decided to check the living room, where Alex was sitting on the couch, looking at something on his phone.
“There you are! Why didn’t you say anything when I called your name a second ago?” Zack asked, taking a seat next to Alex, who scooted away some.
“You’re later than you said you’d be,” Alex replied in a monotone voice, not looking up from his phone.
“I didn’t mean to be, I’m sorry,”
“We’re going to miss our reservation, it starts in fifteen minutes,”
“Why don’t we go another night this week? To be honest, I kind of don’t want to do anything tonight. We just got back from tour, and I’m still kind of recovering from that. We can have a fun night in, watching movies and drinking wine!”
“It’s not about that, Zack. I set up these plans for us, and you blew me off,”
“Alex, it’s not a big deal. We’re off for three more weeks, we’ll find another night to go together,” Zack defensively replied, starting to get annoyed with Alex’s complaints.
“So, you just don’t care that I put in the time to make the reservation, and really wanted to go tonight?”
“No, it’s not that I don’t care, Alex. There are plenty of other nights that we can go, and I am really tired, I promise that I’ll be more fun any other night,”
“I understand you’re tired, Zack, but it really seems like you don’t care about my feelings here,”
“Alex, don’t spin it into that type of thing. Of course I care, I just don’t get why you’re getting so worked up over something that we can just reschedule,”
“Is that all any of our dates are to you, Zack? I don’t know about you, but I value when we have time to go out together, but maybe that’s just me,” Alex said, starting to raise his voice some.
“You’re blowing this out of proportion, Alex. Can we just get past this for tonight, and enjoy our evening in?”
“You still don’t care that you hurt my feelings. I’m going for a drive, you enjoy your night in,” Alex said, getting up from the couch.
“What, so you’re just going to leave now?”
“I’ll be back in an hour. Maybe it’ll be a real hour, or maybe it’ll be an hour in Zack time,” Alex tauntingly replied.
“Wow, real mature!” Zack yelled, as the front door slammed.
Zack was at a bit of a loss for words, Alex never got this worked up over dates before, why was tonight so different? Instead of dwelling on their argument, Zack decided that he was going to do his best to push it out of his mind, and hope that Alex would be in a better mood by the time he got home later.
Zack got up from the couch, and went upstairs to their shared room to put on some comfier clothes, so he could chill out for the foreseeable future. When he opened his dresser drawer where he kept his sweatpants, he was annoyed to see that it was empty, which was the result of him forgetting to take care of his laundry after tour. Even though he didn’t want to anger Alex more by taking his stuff without asking, Zack knew that Alex had clean sweats, so he opened his drawer, and started shuffling the clothes around so he could find what he wanted. As he moved everything, he heard something hit the side of the drawer, so he took everything out, curious as to what it was.
Once everything was out of the way, all the was left was a little black box, which made Zack’s stomach drop. There was no way that this could be what he thought it was, right? With shaky hands, Zack pulled the box out of the drawer, and opened it up to find a simple looking ring with a small diamond in the middle, the exact cut that Zack had always said he liked best. He pulled the ring out of the box, wanting to get a better look at it, and saw that underneath the diamond, A+Z was engraved in a cursive style font.
“Oh my gosh, he was going to propose,” Zack breathlessly said to himself.
He really wanted to call Alex and apologize for giving him such a hard time, but he knew that if he did that, he’d have to tell Alex that he was snooping around, and that he ruined his big plan. Despite this, Zack knew that he couldn’t lie to save his life, so he would have to do something to make up for ruining the surprise. He set the ring on top of the dresser, then took a seat on the bed to think up a good plan.
Once one finally came to mind, Zack sprinted downstairs, and out to his car. Not even bothering to hook up his phone, Zack drove as fast as he could to the closest grocery store. For his plan, he’d need Alex’s favorite champagne, roses, and as many tea light candles as he could get his hands on. After he’d gone around the store and gathered these things, he took everything out to his car, then quickly drove back home.
He was relieved to see that Alex’s car wasn’t back in the driveway yet, which meant he still had time to finish up his plan. Once everything was inside, he took the bags to the living room, and quickly started to set up.
—————
“Damn, it’s already been almost an hour and a half? I guess I should head home now,” Alex muttered to himself, looking at the time on his dashboard.
While he was still a bit upset at Zack, he tried to let it go. It’s not like Zack knew he was planning on proposing, he didn’t understand why the night was going to be so special. Alex knew that Zack had some fair points, they’d just gotten back from a long tour, so wanting to rest really wasn’t that unreasonable. Of course, Alex wished that they hadn’t argued and that the night hadn’t taken such a negative turn, but he knew that all he could do at this point was let it go and move on.
After queuing up his favorite songs so he could end his drive on a high note, he headed back towards his house, singing along to his stereo. Eventually, he pulled into the driveway, but noticed that Zack’s car was in a different place than it was when he’d left. Assuming that Zack might’ve taken a drive to cool down some, too, Alex parked, then walked up to the front door. As he opened it, he heard some shuffling coming from to the living room, and noticed that the lights were all off.
“Zack? Are you here?” Alex called out, feeling confused.
“Yeah, I’m in the living room, baby,” came Zack’s reply.
“Is everything alright?”
“Yes, come in here, Alex,”
Hesitantly, Alex slowly made his way over to the living room, confused as to what he was about to walk into. Once he got to the entrance of the living room, his jaw dropped, and tears started to pool in his eyes. On the floor, Zack had spelled out ‘Will you marry me?’ In tea light candles, and there were rose petals scattered around the candles.
“Zack, what-“
“You wanted to propose tonight, that’s why dinner was so important to you. I started a stupid fight and made you mad when all you were trying to do was the thing we’ve been talking about doing for the longest time now. Alex, I’m so, so sorry for how I acted, I hope you can forgive me,” Zack said, as Alex walked over to where he was standing.
“No, it’s okay, I promise,” Alex said, still taken aback by everything.
“No, Alex, it isn’t. Even if you weren’t planning on proposing, I still shouldn’t have talked to you like that, and I shouldn’t have been such a jerk about something you were clearly very excited about. I know I can’t take back what I said or how I acted, but I hope this can at least somewhat make up for it,”
“How’d you find out I was going to propose? Did Rian or Jack say something?”
“No, I went to change into something comfortable, and I found the ring in the dresser. It’s beautiful, you picked out exactly what I was hoping for,”
The two of them took a seat on the floor, and wrapped each other into a tight hug.
“I’m glad, I spent a lot of time on tour researching rings and picking that one out. Rian and Jack helped some, but it was mostly me,” Alex said, laughing some as he reminisced.
“It’s perfect, baby. Alex, I really am so sorry about earlier. I love you so much, and I want to spend forever with you,”
“I don’t think we’ve made anything regarding forever official yet,” Alex joked, making Zack roll his eyes as he laughed.
“Technically, I asked you with candles,”
“I’ll be right back!”
Before Zack could say anything, Alex bolted up, and ran upstairs to their room, finding the box on the dresser where Zack had left it earlier. He grabbed it, then went back into the living room.
“You’ve asked me, and of course the answer is yes, but I have a question for you, Zack. Meeting you back in high school was one of the greatest things to ever happen to me, and us forming the band and getting to play music together is something I’m so grateful for. As you know, being in a band is good, but can have some downsides, but those downsides are a lot easier to deal with, because I have you by my side through it all. I love you so much, and I’m my happiest when I’m with you. Zack, will you make me the luckiest person on this planet, and marry me?” Alex asked, holding out the ring box with shaky hands.
“A thousand times yes, baby,” Zack replied, letting Alex place the ring on his finger. They shared a quick kiss, then tightly embraced each other.
“We’re officially engaged, that’s so crazy,” Alex breathlessly said, feeling happy tears start to prick at his eyes.
“It really is, baby. I’m sorry I ruined your original plans,”
“No, you didn’t ruin anything, you made it better. The candles and flowers are so beautiful,”
“Oh, wait, I had one more thing! I think it’s time we open it!” Zack exclaimed, reaching behind himself to grab the champagne and two glasses.
“You got my favorite champagne?” Alex asked, reading the label on the bottle.
“Of course, what else would I have gotten to celebrate? Here you go,” Zack said, handing Alex a glass. After they clinked glasses, they took a sip.
“This doesn’t feel real,”
“Well, it is. We’re officially each other’s forever,”
“I love you so much, Zack,”
“I love you too, Alex. You’re the best thing that’s ever happened to me,”
“Hey, I hate to ruin the moment and everything, but should we blow the candles out now? I just don’t want anything to fall into them and catch on fire,” Alex pointed out, making them both laugh some.
“Oh yeah, good idea,”
The two of them set their glasses down, then quickly blew out all of the candles. Once that was done, they sat on the couch and snuggled into each other.
“Hey, do you want to order something?”
“Way ahead of you, Alex. I ordered steaks from the steakhouse you wanted to go to. It’s not the same as being in the restaurant, but hopefully it’ll suffice for now,”
“You’re the best, Zack,” Alex said, looking up to kiss his fiancé.
For the rest of the evening, the two of them stayed snuggled up on the couch, watching movies and continuing to drink more champagne. It wasn’t the night that either of them had expected, but that was okay; they were with each other, and that was all that really mattered.
A/N: Hi everyone, this was a request for someone on here! I changed the prompt around a bit, but the general idea is the same! Also, I've been typing my newer stuff instead of handwriting it first, and I think that's why my recent stories have been considerably longer than my older stories! I still have a few requests that I'm working on, but am always happy to add more to my list, if you guys have any! Thanks for reading! -Liv
Lately I've been feeling so alone
Based of this post by @milady-bugg, thank you for letting me use it as inspiration for a fic 😁
This is sadder than intended, and full of Michael Guerin feels, hope you'll enjoy! This is also quite long (5.4k lmao), so you can read it on AO3 if you prefer.
Michael had isolated himself in his bunker, not letting anyone - even Sanders - in. At first, there were a few knocks, the door opening a few times and each time, Michael would slam it shut with his powers. He needed to process. It was one thing, to know that you were the son of a monster, another to face the man as he gave his own son a heart attack. Father of the year, right here!
So Michael had isolated himself between 4 walls, literally underground, where he could let all his anger free without hurting anyone. But the others couldn’t really understand that, and he couldn’t blame them. So everyone went on to live their lives, do what they were good at.
Isobel and Rosa were looking for Max, searching every cave, every abandoned house, turning every stone, using Rosa’s new found ability. Liz was making sure Maria stayed stable and healthy, her state hadn’t really decreased, but it hadn’t improved either. Whatever was going on, she seemed to continue the fight. Because Maria DeLuca was her own saviour, every damn time.
Michael didn’t have any news of Alex, just that he had found Kyle and that he was safe. He had hesitated calling Alex a few times, to compare notes on shitty father, but that wouldn’t have been fair to Alex, the person who tried every damn day to distance himself from his father, to fix what he broke, to be a better man.
So Michael was alone, in his bunker, with Sanders coming in every once in a while to complain that Michael wasn’t working, but both knew it was just an excuse to check up on him, make sure he was doing fine.
And really, he was. After the initial shock of finding out that his father was a copy of his brother (really, all those times Max had played his father, it was just in his DNA), where he completely and utterly lost it, he was now in a much calmer headspace. He had repositioned all the furniture that had been thrown against the walls, had done some extensive cleaning and given back a few tools and random parts he found to Sanders.
Although, he was still feeling empty. Had emptied his entire body, crying, shouting, wanting to break stuff with his powers, but knowing that if he did he would have to replace it somehow. And he was still broke. So he had to figure out another way of letting his emotions free, that didn’t involve breaking the little stuff he owned, and regretting it.
Instead, he focused on what he was good at. Had put all of the alien tech he had on the main workspace, fiddling with it at first, letting his hand move freely on it, feeling the way the tech reacted to him. From then, he realised that he still didn’t completely know what the tech could do, had assumed it was only part of the ship, but the recent events, with Kyle’s radio and Jones’ sword, he was getting curious as to what he could do, with his imagination and mechanical skills.
This is where it all started, with the alien glass and his tools, letting his hands move as they desired, his mind still busy thinking about - well, everything that happened in the last few days, from Jones being his father, to Max maybe still nearly dying, to Maria being in a coma, and to Alex being God knows where doing God knows what.
As he thought about his friends, his family, his people, his fingers were doing something similar. This is how he found himself, after three days in the bunker, barely sleeping, not at all in contact with the outside world - only going out to take a shower, get some food, and use the toilet in the airstream - with a bunch of glass objects, clearly designed for his friends, and not knowing what to do with all of it. Well, he knew, but that meant going out and seeing them, their faces, probably full of pity, no one knowing how to address the elephant in the room - Jones.
He was building up the courage to get out and gift his creations as peace offering, or whatever they wanted them to be, when he was disturbed by a knock on the latch, then it opened, followed by a very familiar voice that he didn’t expect to hear any time soon.
“Look, Guerin, I get that you want to be alone right now, and uh, yeah -” Alex Manes said, passing a hand across the face, fighting the want to jump down that ladder, understanding more than anyone what being the son of a monster felt like, and even then, neither of their experiences were comparable. “I’m just here to tell you that, ah, Maria woke up, and uh, she’ll be staying in the hospital for a little longer, so uh, yeah that’s what I came here to say.” he finished, and stood up from where he was crouching above the opened latch, looking down in the bunker but not seeing more than the ladder and light. He could also slightly distinguish Michael’s shadow, glowing under all the lights he guessed were alien.
Michael thought Alex had left, and nearly closed the latch using his powers, when he heard the last few words, barely a whisper, but clear as day to him. And he knew that Alex knew that he heard them. “I’m here. If you ever want to talk, or whatever. I’m here for you, Michael.” And with that, Alex left, understanding the peace of being alone with your thoughts, and knowing that Michael would come out whenever he was ready to.
And he was ready to come out. Soon after he heard Alex’s car leave the junkyard, he rushed to his airstream to take a shower and change clothes, taking with him the glass object he had made for Maria. When Sanders saw him leave the airstream, showered, dressed in clothes that hadn’t been worn the past three days, smiling, he couldn’t stop the teasing comment, “If I knew getting your boy here would get you out, I’d have done it long ago.” Despite the comment, he was glad that Michael was feeling better, and even more glad to hear the “Not my boy. Maria’s awake,” that came from Michael as he drove away, leaving Sanders in the junkyard, a smile on his face. The kid was starting to realise that family wasn’t the blood coursing through your veins, but the people you choose to surround yourself with. He hoped Ms. Nora would be proud of her boy, wherever she was.
Michael drove to the hospital at a respectable speed, not wanting to get arrested the day Maria woke up - she would never stop making fun of him about it. He nearly ran towards her room, stopping only at the open door, taking in the people in the room. Liz was at the foot of Maria’s bed, holding a board with papers clipped to it - most likely Maria’s health results - talking with her hands, a large smile on her face. Rosa was sitting on the bed, next to Liz, exchanging side smiles with Maria, her entire body more relaxed than she had been since Maria’s coma. Isobel was standing to the side of the room, leaning against the wall, facing the door. She was the first to see Michael, making him smile back, and promising her to talk and hang out, by their psychic bond. Finally, he turned his eyes to the head of Maria’s bed, where the two Manes men who had gone against their father were sitting, Greg leaning against the back of the chair, a hand holding Maria’s and the other going up and down on her arm in a reassuring sign, Alex on the other side sitting with his elbows on his knees, chin resting on one hand, apparently the only one truly listening to what Liz had to say.
He cleared his throat, not knowing how else to announce his presence. “Mikey!” came the synchronised shout from the Orthecho sisters, “what took you so long, dude? We texted you ages ago!” Rosa teasingly asked, Michael not bothering with an answer and simply sticking his tongue out to her, earning him a roll of the eyes from Liz and Isobel, a full on laugh from Rosa and a slight chuckle from Alex.
“How you feeling, DeLuca?” he started to ask, his voice clear with worry, but remembering many of their conversations, he continued with something he knew she would prefer to him worrying too much, “I might check out some other bar if you stay out of the game for too long.”
And he seemed to have been right, as Maria giggled and stood up straighter, “Oh I’m not too worried you’ll be right back at the Pony in no time Guerin,” she said smiling at him, which Michael copied. “And,” she added, pointing her finger in his direction, “you still owe me 15,09 bucks, don’t think I’ve forgotten.”
Michael shook his head, of course she wouldn’t forget the drinks he had during the last year that he hasn’t yet repaid in services. Since it was the pandemic, they both didn’t have much money so they agreed that whatever drinks he ordered would be paid back in free car or bar maintenance, and vice versa. As if they weren’t already cutting deals for each other.
Feeling all eyes on him, especially since he had gone AWOL for the last three days, Michael cleared his throat once more and took a few hesitant steps towards Maria, ignoring everyone in the room but her. “I, uh, made you something?” he said, cursing himself mentally for making it sound like a question, “here,” he put his hand in his jacket pocket and took out four little alien glass hairpins, ‘it’s alien glass, I thought you might like them.”
He looked at her to see some tears in her eyes as she took the hairpins and observed them in her hands. “They’re, Michael, those are amazing ,” she said with so much sincerity that Michael was taken aback by it, “Thank you.” she added with a smile.
In the end Michael sat on the floor against the wall, listening closely to Maria talking about what had happened with Jones. He felt at ease, surrounded by his friends, still feeling the weight of Kyle and Max missing, but everyone enjoying this small light in what had felt like a week of pure darkness.
Being with Maria, giving them his creation, had given him the courage to talk to the others, and hand them their gifts. He went to see Liz, one day, as she was still in Kyle’s office, observing scans of Maria’s brain. He pointedly ignored those pictures, deciding that he wasn’t going to think of what his father could have done to Maria and her brain, knowing the guilt he would feel if he did. Instead he stood in front of Liz and handed her two teardrop earrings made out of alien glass.
She stopped in the middle of her sentence, and stared up at Michael who smiled awkwardly, her mouth agape as she took in the beauty of the jewelry. “Mikey, wow, I - I don’t know what to say.” she said, looking back and forth between the earrings and Michael.
“It’s nothing, Ortecho, really, I had glass laying around and -” he started to say but was interrupted by Liz. “Thank you.” she nearly shouted, standing up and bending him in a tight embrace, which he returned gladly. He then held up Liz’s phone as a mirror as she put them on and admired herself, making both of them laugh, before reality caught up, and they both needed to focus on Max, Kyle, and Maria. Liz kept the earrings the entire day, and wears them on any occasion she can, the alien colorful glass going with a multitude of clothing combinaisons.
The next person Michael gave a present to was Rosa. She was at the junkyard to train her powers when he surprised her with alien windchimes. He quickly used his powers to hang them up while she had her eyes closed and let the wind do the rest of the work. She opened her eyes in admiration of whatever sound she had heard and turned towards the source of it. “Woa,” she said under her breath as she walked slowly towards them, until finally touching them with her hands, letting the windchimes sing under her fingers, the alien glass slightly reacting.
“You made those?” she asked, turning around to Michael. He nodded, smiling, feeling quite proud of his work. “The sound they make,” continued Rosa, turning once again to look at the windchimes, Michael walking closer to her, “it’s - I don’t think I can compare it to anything.” He nodded once more, encouraging Rosa to continue, “It’s like a melody. I can hear the wind, but it’s different, it’s beautiful.”
She leaned against Michael who was now standing slightly behind her, Michael instinctively putting her arm around her shoulders, the two of them standing in the middle of the junkyard, admiring the alien glass windchimes Michael had made for Rosa. She would come buy the junkyard many times, listening at the way the wind circled through the windchimes, admiring their beauty.
After that it all happened really quickly; Rosa and Isobel found Max, Michael and Liz had been called to the rescue (Jones had apparently regained his body and vanished), followed by Kyle waking up, Greg and Maria rushing to some ranch in the middle of nowhere to get Kyle and Alex. Eventually, all this craziness died down for a bit, Max was hiding in Alex’s cabin in the woods, since Jones had used his body to commit crimes, he couldn’t really go grocery shopping without getting arrested, and Kyle had regained his job at the hospital. Michael seriously wondered how he hadn’t been fired yet, but he wasn’t complaining, at least someone in their group seemed to know what he was doing with his life.
He made his way back to the hospital, except this time to see the one person he swore he would never visit as a kid. A doctor. But not just any doctor, a doctor who was quickly becoming a good friend of his, which he obviously wasn’t going to admit. He walked in the corridors, knowing the place quite well by now, and knocked on Kyle’s office door. A tired “Come in” answered and he opened the door.
As soon as Kyle saw who was on the other side of the door, he groaned and nearly snapped, thinking that maybe now would be the time to get a new group of friends that didn’t have alien emergencies every four hours. Michael must’ve sensed what Kyle was about to say (something along the lines “I don’t care that the world is burning because of some alien invasion, I need sleep! And no, a coma doesn’t count.”) because he raised his hands in surrender, a smug smile on his face.
“Relax, no alien life or death situations, or at least not that I know of.” This had the expected effect, Kyle relaxed in his chair, crossed his arms on his chest and raised an eyebrow at Michael, silently asking him why he was here then. Michael closed the door behind him and sat opposite Kyle, on one of the patients chairs. Still smiling, he took out of his pocket two glass paperweights that he delicately put on the desk for Kyle to grab, just as delicately.
Kyle was silent as he turned the paperweights between his hands, admiring all the different angles, reflecting his desk light on the walls and papers he had on his desk. While Kyle was busy, Michael slowly put his hand in his other jacket pocket and took out a glass snow globe with a little cardboard UFO, two little plastic aliens, and pink fake snow. He put it on the desk and waited for Kyle to notice, after having put the paper weights on top of two small piles he had.
When he saw the snow globe, his face lit up with astonishment, and he looked up to Micheal, once again speechless. “I know what it’s like to see a doctor as a kid and being scared,” Michael said, not looking at Kyle but at the little snowball, “and I know it’s not the same, but uh-”
“I’m sure the kids will love it, Michael.” Kyle said, honestly. He took the globe and shook it, chuckling at the way the UFO dangled, the way the little Aliens wiggled and the way the pink snow fell on everything. “Thank you.”
Michael shrugged, “Consider it payback,” he said, with a sincere smile this time, “for all the times you saved our asses.” And with that, he stood up, waved awkwardly at Kyle (who waved back just as awkwardly) and left.
Kyle took care of the paperweights, who in reality weren’t so heavy, but never broke as they fell. All the kids that came by his office would stare at the little snow globe, admiring it, feeling calmer and safer during their appointment.
Isobel called Michael over the next day. She said she wanted to go shopping for Max, since he was stuck away and was getting bored (how he had already read all the books Alex gave him, was a mystery to Michael, but he supposed when there really wasn’t anything else to do…)
Michael ran on her doorbell and let himself in, using his powers to unlock the door. He made his way to the living room and sat on the couch, looking at the decorations of Isobel’s walls. This house felt more homey than the one she had shared with Noah, there were paintings on the walls he knew Rosa had made, a few old and useless metallic pieces he had turned into sculptures and decorations laying around in various places. But what was really different was the huge bookshelf, books varying from science fiction (for Michael), to inspiring novels (for Isobel) to fantasy and romantic (for Max), indicating that this wasn’t just her home for her, but that her brothers were welcomed here too.
Michael put on the table the necklace he had made, the pendant made out of alien glass and the chain from some silver he had laying around the junkyard, and waited for Isobel to come out. When she did, she smiled at Michael and sat next on his left, facing him. “Okay, so I’ve been thinking, and our brother isn’t really the best cook so -”, she started to say, but cut herself as she saw what was on the table.
She grabbed the necklace between her fingers, and looked to Michael, who was leaning against the couch, an arm slung over it, a bright smile on his face. He winked at her, when he saw that Isobel was looking at him, and she leaned against him, her heard on his shoulder, Michael folding his arm around her.
“It’s beautiful, Michael,” Isobel said, emotions strong in her voice, “thank you.” Mihael rubbed his hand on her shoulder, not really knowing what to say, but wanting her to know that he would always be there.
Isobel wiggled the necklace in front of his face, Michael taking it with a chuckle as he attached it around her neck. The two of them stayed like that, leaning their heads against each other, in silence, in peace. Eventually, Isobel stood up, hurrying Michael out the door and into his truck to go shopping for Michael. And if they were a bit later than what they had told Max, arriving with humid eyes, no one made a comment about it, Max glad to have some company and more books to read.
Michael went back to see Max at least once a day, staying for a few hours or a couple of minutes, always checking in. The two had a lot to talk about, especially the elephant in the room - Max being a clone of Michael’s father.
Michael found himself enjoying those little brotherly moments, and more so the one after they had done the whole Jones subject. Michael would make a few comments about Liz staying in Roswell, to which Max would respond with questions about Alex.
“You know,” said Max on the third day Michael came when they were sitting around a fire pit, enjoying a few beers, after Michael had strongly avoided any topic about Alex, while also admitting to having some feelings (which Max knew of already, subtility wasn’t Michael’s - and Alex’s - strong suit), “this is the first time you and I have talked about dumb highschool crushed together.”
Michael chuckled at that, a hint of sadness that Max quickly brushed, “Hey no, the past is the past man, I’m just saying that I’m glad we’re finally talking, you know? Feels like we’re finally not hiding stuff.” And Michael raised his beer bottle at that. It was indeed the first time that they were both completely open, no more secret. They both were at fault on that, but as Max had said, the past was the past, no point reminiscing, when you could focus on making the future better.
With those thoughts in mind, he took out of his pocket an alien glass bolo tie with little turquoise end caps on the ties, and handed it to Max, who took it. They were both hypnotised by the way the flames reflected on the glass, the way the colors seemed to dance in the night.
Max didn’t say anything, didn’t have too. He put his beer on the floor next to him, stood up and motioned to Michael to do the same. Once they were both standing, facing each other, they hugged deeply, strongly. In the end, all the other bolo ties Max owned got mostly replaced by this one, being worn at every occasion he could, always with his brother in mind.
Michael had two more presents to offer, and was sitting in his bunker, not knowing how to approach either of the people they were made for. Luckily for him, he didn’t have to figure one out, as the person in question opened the latch and climbed down the stairs with a grunt. “Kid,” came Sander’s voice as soon as his feet reached the ground, “think you can use that brain of yours to build a lift here? Getting too old for this.”
“Well no one is forcing you to come, old man,” Michael replied, although there was no true bite to it. In fact, he quite enjoyed the old man’s occasional visits, even if all he did was complain. Michael turned around to face him, “Everything all good up there?” he asked, wondering why Sanders had come down. Sanders just nodded at him and took the last steps for him to arrive at Michael’s level, leaning his hands on the workspace. “What you working on, kid?”
“Uhm, actually -” started Michael, now that Sanders was here, might as well give him the present, right? “I got something for you.”
Using his powers, he approached a little metallic sunflower he had made from scrap pieces found here and there in the junkyard, and had made the center out of alien glass. The whole thing was attached to a chain to be held up against the door to Sanders house.
Sanders grabbed the sunflower and looked at it intensely with his good eye, remembering the colors Ms Nora’s creations were, seeing them once again on that little sunflower. Neither said anything, nor made a step forward to hug, neither being used to physical comfort, but they both knew how much that gesture meant.
To Michael, it meant acceptance, family, a sunflower for all the sunflowers they grew at the junkyard over the pandemic. To Sanders, it meant pride, it meant having kept his promise to Ms Nora to take care of his son, it meant family.
The sunflower was attached by Sanders' door, the alien glass glowing under the desert sun, always turning to face it, like all the many sunflowers they had in their field.
Which led Michael to one last gift. And if he was being honest with himself, the one he dreaded the most. Also the one that took him the most time and the most research. A gift for Alex. Taking his courage in both hands, he sent a quick text to Alex before he could have any chance to doubt himself. Free right now? I think I might take you up on your offer.
He didn’t have long to wait, as his phone buzzed almost immediately, On my way. Be there in 30 . He rushed back to his airstream, ignoring once more Sanders’ comment about getting ready for his boy , to get changed and put beers in the fridge. He opened the door of the airstream just as he heard Alex’s car arrive, and sat on one of the chairs, two bears in hand, while he made his way over. Alex sat on a chair next to him, accepting the beer, in silence.
“I heard you were busy while in your underground lair, judging by the gifts I’ve been seeing pop up.” Alex said with a smile, taking a sip of his beer, turning his head to look at Michael.
Michael frowned his eyebrows, “I thought you were busy out of town?” he asked, barely stopping the bite from escaping his lips. Alex looked sheepishly away from Michael at that, “I’ve been trying to not distance myself too much,” she shrugged, his tone lowering, until being a simple whisper at the end, “to not drive myself crazy.” He shivered at whatever thought was going through his mind, then straightened his body and looked up to Michael, “Anyway, you said you’d take me up on my offer, I’m assuming you want to talk?” he asked, forcing a smile that Michael didn’t buy.
“The hell is going on with you, Alex?” Michael asked, with a bit too much force that he immediately took back at Alex’s defeated look, “First you tell me you’d burn down the world for me, then that you don’t want me anywhere you or whatever, and then you end up finding Kyle in some creepy farm, which might I add is the exact same farm you got stabbed in .” He took a breath, and continued, “So yeah, Alex, I want to talk, I want you to tell me what’s going on with you.” He stopped at looked at Alex, who didn’t really seem like he wanted to say anything, so he lowered his voice, taking back all the bite and anger he could, channeling how much he cared and worried about Alex, “You said you were there for me, it’s a two way street you know. I’m here for you too.”
That seemed to do the trick, as Alex’s teary eyes met Michael’s, who wanted nothing more that to wipe his thumb across his cheeks, to take away the fear and the pain he could see in those eyes. But he didn’t, they weren't there yet.
Alex took a deep, shaky breath and told Michael everything, from quitting the Air Force (getting a discharge with full honors, Michael could tell the pride in his voice as the last ten years of Alex’s hadn’t been totally useless), to joining Deep Sky, to the Lockhart machine, to his boss not being who he said he was, to discovering that the Lockhart machine had driven people crazy, to the reason he had been recruited by deep sky. After his explanations, he fell quiet, looking at Michael, not truly knowing what to expect.
What he didn’t expect however, was for Michael to get up hastily, move the airstream and rush to his lair, leaving Alex sitting on his chair, a half empty bottle of beer in one hand, tears in his eyes. But Michael came back, just as fast as he had left, holding some piece of alien tech mixed with metal in his hands. It took a moment for Alex to register what that object was, and once he did, he widened his already teary eyes in surprise, his mouth was slightly agape, his eyebrows were frowned, as he searched for the words to express his confusion, not wanting to get his hopes high. On the other hand, there wasn’t a multitude of people Michael could’ve made an alien prosthetic leg for.
Michael approached slowly with the leg in his hands, handing it to Alex once he was close enough. “I uh- I made you this.” he said, clearing his throat, while Alex was examining the leg, “It’ uh, lighter than the one you have now, but it’s also more resistant and, well, you could really bludgeon someone with it, if uh - if you wanted to.”
Alex kept looking at the leg, not saying anything, which Michael interpreted as him not being interested. “You don’t have to take it, if you don’t like it. I also made you this,” he rushed out, taking a braided leather cuff with a piece of alien glass as a stamp and handing it sheepishly to Alex, who was looking at him, with the same teary look he had for the past few minutes. Michael took a deep breath and sat back down, “Look,” he breathed out, “what I’m trying to say, Alex, is I’ve got your back, okay? I’ll build you whatever you need, I’ll go wherever you want me to, I’ll - I care about you.”
As Alex opened his mouth to say something, Michael raised his hand to interrupt, and continued, “And I’m the son of a literal dictator whose powers I’ve inherited. I can defend myself. And I know that you wanna protect me - I do too - but maybe we could, I don’t know, protect each other by being there?”
Alex, whose tears were now running free on his face, bent down to take his right shoe off, under Michael’s curious gaze, who could also feel tears running down his cheeks. Alex raised his trousers and took off his prosthetic, before grabbing the alien one and putting it on. He knew the size would fit, knew that Michael had worked hard on it, had probably had the idea of making him a new leg from the moment they met again, in front of that same airstream, under completely different circumstances.
They had gone a long way from that day, and they still had some more to do, but Michael was right. Maybe this time, they could be there, together, to take that new road, to protect and take care of each other, together. Before standing up, Alex attached the bracelet Michael had made around his left wrist, admiring the colors of the alien glass under the desert sun.
Alex stayed at the junkyard for some more time, until his alarm rang, informing him that he should head back to the Lockhart machine. Taking a deep breath, he turned to Michael, asking him if he wanted to come with, and together they drove to the farm, down a road they had both taken together once, but this time Alex wasn’t bleeding out.
After that day, Alex still went to the VA in Albuquerque for meds prescriptions and physical therapy once in a while, but all the repairs that needed to be done for his prosthetic, all the improvements, were done by Michael, in his lair, under Alex’s curious gaze, who wanted to know everything about Michael’s ideas.
After all his gifts, Michael found that he still had some alien glass laying around in his bunker. So he decided to turn it all into little rings, wanting to distinguish as much as he could from the weaponizing of the alien glass, like Jones had. Eventually, all of little friend group, all of his people, owned a ring.
And when the day came, when the fight with Jones reached its last stretch, Michael was ready. He didn’t have an alien sword like Jones had, but he had something much more. A group of people, by his side, all sharing his strength through the little alien gifts. His people, his family.
Luke Patterson from Julie and the phantoms dating a 🥺 girl who is a cheerleader. Shocking the band when they meet her but end up loving her. Fluffy Luke
Cheerleader
Luke Patterson x Reader
Word Count: 1614 Words
A/N: I don’t know much about cheerleading but I hope you like it. It’s also 2 am and not proofread.
——————————————————————————
When you first met Luke, you were in school walking to class not paying attention and ended up bumping into him. You both ended up falling over causing both of your things to go everywhere. He was helping you with your stuff when he saw a small poster with a familiar logo in the corner of his eye.
“Sunset Curve?”, he says, picking it up. “You a fan?”
You looked up sheepishly and pushed a piece of hair behind your ear. “Uh yeah. I’ve been to a few shows. I’m (Y/N).” You stood up with him.
“Luke,” He points to himself. “Well, we have a show tonight if you would like to come. Maybe dinner after?”
“Wow. Someone’s confident,” you said laughing to yourself.
“Well, I have to be when I’m talking to someone as gorgeous as you,” he complimented you turning your cheeks red. “So what time am I picking you up?”
You tell him that you have cheerleading practice tonight so you’ll be done around 6. “Just tell me where and I’ll be there.”
A couple hours later, it was time for the concert. Luke was standing on stage looking in the audience for you, to become unsuccessful. He tried to hide his frown but Reggie noticed. He then nudged Bobby to look over. Bobby just looked back at him shrugging. After a couple songs, you still hadn’t turned up. By the end of the set, Luke was now angry. He went out on a limb and was completely humiliated.
When they went backstage, a waiter walked up to him and said he had a message from a girl named (Y/N).
“What did she say?”
“She said she’s sorry she couldn’t make it. Practice ran late but she’ll make it up to you.”
“Okay. Thank you so much.” He let out a great big sigh of relief.
“Are you going to tell us what’s going on?” Reggie asked, causing Luke to turn around.
“What do you mean?”
“Well, first off you looked bummed out the entire set and now some random girl left a message for you.” Bobby replies looking at the other two to see their reactions.
“It’s nothing.” Luke replies.
“Okay…” Alex says sarcastically.
“Really it is. We just met today.” Luke says quickly.
“I didn’t say anything.” Alex puts his hands up in defense.
The next morning, you looked for Luke in the halls. When you found out you ran up to him and started immensely apologizing. “Oh my gosh, Luke. I’m so sorry. By the time I got out of practice and I went home to get ready it was 7:00. And then I fell asleep. So as soon as I woke up I called the club. So if we could go out tonight or another night if it’s not good for you.”
“(Y/N) it’s okay. You left a message.” He says putting an arm around you. “And about tonight. Tonight is perfect.”
“Okay great. I have practice again tonight but maybe we can meet at 8?”
“I’ll pick you up instead.”
You give him your address and he shows up knocking on your door at exactly 8:00 on the dot. He ends up taking you to a movie and dinner. At the end of the night, you end up walking the strip.
“So, how’d I do?” Luke asks, holding your hand.
“Amazing. I haven’t been out in a while because of practice.” You reply.
“It really takes up your time, huh?”
“Yeah, I’m hoping to cheer in college so to get a scholarship I need to work really hard.”
“Well, it’s good that you know what you want to do with your life.”
“You do too. Your band is going to make it far.”
“I hope so. I can't think of anything else I’d rather do.”
When we get back to my house, we stand at the front door for a minute just looking at each other.
“So…”
“So…”
Luke leans in to meet your lips. You kiss him back, sweetly. After a couple of minutes, you pull away.
“Well, thank you for tonight. I’ll see you tomorrow?” You say opening your door.
“Of course.” He gives you another kiss and leaves. You watch him walk away, smirking to yourself.
You go out again multiple times after that learning more and more about each other. Now it’s been three months and he still hasn’t told the boys. Until one day when Sunset Curve has another gig.
Everyday you have been hanging out and going on dates with Luke after cheer practice and band rehearsal. As soon as the guys were done rehearsing, Luke wasted no time running out of the studio. It took almost your entire relationship before the boys noticed something was up.
“There he goes again.” Alex says standing up from the drumset, “Where is he going?”
“I don’t know but he’s been on his phone more than usual and getting distracted easily. Maybe it’s a girl.” Reggie says.
“Let’s ask him at the show tonight.”
An hour later, Luke walks through the stage door, talking to you on the phone, “Am I seeing you tonight?”
“Of course. We got done early so I’ll be there soon.”
“Okay great. I just got here. We’re gonna have the sound check so I’ll see you after the set.”
“You’re gonna do great! See you soon.”
“Bye babe.” Luke hangs up the phone and looks up to see Alex and Reggie.
“Who was that Luke?”
“What do you mean? Nobody.”
“It didn’t sound like nobody...babe”
Luke realizes the mistake he made by saying it in front of his friends. He might as well tell them now before she shows up and it’s a whole mess.
“So I’ve been seeing someone. We met a few months ago.
“Is that where you’ve been going after rehearsal? You leave before we’re even done the last song.”
“Yeah. Sorry. It’s just she has practice after school and there’s like an hour or two that we can actually see each other. I know I should’ve told you when it started but it was nice just being me and her.”
“It’s fine dude. We would like to meet her at somepoint but it’s your relationship not ours.”
“Okay good she’s actually coming tonight.”
The boys had soundcheck and started performing not long after. You ended up coming in a couple songs in so you didn’t miss much. What the rest of the band doesn’t know is you’ve actually gone to every show you could since you and Luke started dating. Since you’ve seen them a number of times, you have a favorite and Luke knows exactly which one it is.
You hear the beginning chords of Now or Never and see Luke look around the crowd before making eye contact with you. He winks at you and you feel your heart beat faster. He radiates so much energy it’s hard to be upset watching him perform.
Practice ended up being more stressful than it needed to be. Some of the team didn’t show up so your routine had to be reblocked a bit. Now you were just drained and wanted nothing more than to lay in your bed. But you missed they’re last show and even though you know Luke is the most understanding person you still made a promise and you didn’t want to let him down.
After the set, you decide to surprise him backstage. But instead of seeing Luke right away you saw Reggie, Bobby, and Alex first.
“Umm hi. I’m (Y/N)...Luke’s girlfriend.”
“Hi! I’m Alex.”
“Reggie.”
“Bobby. ‘Sup.”
You shake their hands trying to be as polite as possible. You really want to impress his bandmates knowing that they’re his family. He told you about his problems at home and how the only people he sees on the regular are his friends.
“(Y/N)!!!!!” You turn around and see Luke covered in sweat running over to you with his arms open wide. You let him wrap his arms around you since you just need to be held by him at the moment. You give him a quick kiss before giving him an actual hug.
“How was practice?”
“Ugh let’s not talk about that now. I’m having a good time.” Luke leans back and gives you a sad look before pushing a piece of hair back behind your ear and kissing your forehead.
“So I see you’ve met the guys. Be nice to her please.”
“Wait….practice.” Bobby looks you up and down noticing you’re still in uniform. “Are you a cheerleader?”
The boys all look up at you not saying anything.
“Uh yeah” You say shyly, finding the carpet much more interesting. “I’m a flyer. It’s been a long day so I didn’t have time to change.”
“That’s so cool!” You hear Alex say. “My sister’s a cheerleader.”
“Oh really? What’s her name?” You say making conversation. You feel an arm around you. Luke was happy you were getting along with his friends. He knew you would be find but you once brought up how you get insecure about cheerleading. Movies don’t make the sport look as fun as it can be. Most cheerleaders are considered mean and catty. However you are from either of those things.
“Katie. She’s in college now but she loved cheering.”
After we talked a little bit more, the guys put their instruments away and they invited you to get food with them so Luke didn’t have to rush after the gig like he has been. You graciously accepted and couldn't wait to hear the stories about your boyfriend. You definitely gained three more friends tonight.
Re the Mark Watson tweet/mailing list - I’m the same on twitter, I’ve been on there for over 10 years and only tweeted around 3 times - something about being ‘visible’ on twitter gives me the fear - I apprehensively replied to his tweet not long after it was posted and he followed me back pretty soon after that (I guess he was more on top on the replies straight afterwards?) having him as one of my followers when I have a total of less than 20 is definitely weird but he’s still there… never having DM’d anyone I was unsure but I sent over just my email and a ‘thanks’ and he replied saying ‘thank YOU’ It’s really odd when you consider the audience he must be able to reach, I think he is just genuinely a good person, which makes me love him even more
If anyone wants context for this message, it's following up on my saga of possibly briefly interacting with Mark Watson on Twitter, documented here and here.
I know what you mean about the "visible on Twitter" thing! I did actually briefly, slightly consider posting a shorter version of that list of names I wanted to see in response to his Tweet that invited requests. But I just couldn't get past how visible it would be. To regular people, not just nerds on Tumblr. And to famous people! What if one of the names I picked was a weird choice for some reason I didn't know? What if it turns out that Frankie Boyle and Stewart Lee were somehow not the only comedians who were dicks to Mark Watson, and I happened to pick someone else with whom there's been a feud and offend him? I don't know enough about anything to say stuff that might be visible! If I make a mistake here, it’s not a big deal.
The other day I made a long post about how I’m quite sure John Oliver has no history of working with Alex Horne so it’s weird that he’s doing the Horne Section TV show, and then someone left me a comment pointing out that right on the Horne Section’s Wikipedia page it says John Oliver has been a guest at their live shows. I posted an update acknowledging that they were right and I had clearly said some stuff that I thought was true but it turns out I didn’t know what I was talking about as well as I’d thought I did. Which was fine, because it’s only a Tumblr blog. It would be very embarrassing if I’d made that mistake on a platform where it was visible to John Oliver and Alex Horne. It would also be very embarrassing because, you know, I don't want John Oliver or Alex Horne to know how closely I've looked into their lives. All that said, I took my answer to Mark Watson’s Tweet and posted it here instead of there.
Anyway, thanks for the message, nice to know I'm not the only one here who's tried this! Yeah I took a couple of days to psych myself up into actually writing a reply, so I missed the initial wave. Not that I'm constantly checking or anything, but it looks like a few other people who commented at the same time as I did have also not been replied to. If I miss out on a mailing list and have to spend more time on Twitter to find out about these online things, that'll be my own fault for waiting too long. Though I might be at a point where I should start admitting that I'm probably going to keep looking at this Twitter account for a while either way. Breaking the general Twitter habit was fine, breaking the habit of looking at Mark Watson's Twitter is tougher. He keeps saying nice things that make me hate the world slightly less.
Having said that, if he does end up replying to me, I genuinely appreciate this message that lets me know the process. I mean, you send him your email and he says thank you is pretty much the obvious thing to assume about what the process is, but that still seems ridiculous to me so nice to know that's how it actually worked. I do know that connecting directly with his audience and wanting to get to know the people who watch/listen to his comedy is part of Mark Watson's whole thing, but letting any random person send him a direct message seems to take that up to an amazing degree.
He clearly has some sort of plan here; he’s said in the comments that he has reasons for creating the mailing list this way instead of setting up a form that lets people join automatically, and he mentioned sometime last week or so (not... not that I’m constantly checking or anything) that when he sees people say online live comedy needs to be left behind with lockdowns that only makes him want to do it more. So I assume he wants a list of people who’ve publicly expressed enthusiasm for this so he can use that list as evidence to support whatever agenda he’s pushing, and as far as I can tell that agenda is “make comedy more accessible”, so yeah, I am quite happy to be used in this scheme. Sign me up, Mark. Send me emails and tell whomever you’re trying to convince that I agree with whatever the hell you’re doing, because no matter what it is, I almost definitely do agree with it. Mark Watson could shoot a puppy on live TV and I’d assume he probably had a good reason.
Anyway, I think you're right. He might be the nicest person in the world. And I just want someone to tell me in my email inbox when he puts comedy on the internet. I would like updates on how to find comedy endorsed by the nicest person in the world.
“Luke! Keep it down, your sister is studying!” He rolled his eyes at his mother’s shout.
“It’s not like you’re being quiet,” Luke muttered and rolled his eyes, but he turned down the volume on his amp anyway. He didn't want to get yelled at twice, that's for sure.
If there’s anything Luke Patterson wasn’t, it was idiotic (depending on who you asked, of course). “Dumb bitch shouting at the top of her lungs.” He sighed and continued playing his guitar, albeit at a lower level.
Y/N popped her head in the door. “Ya know, you only get to be a smartass when you pass your classes idiot.” She had clearly overheard him as she walked into the room and turned his amp down even lower than he had before. “It doesn’t sound too bad, keep going.” She winked at him and shut the door behind her.
It wasn’t often that Y/N gave Luke complements, but when she did, they were always backhanded ones.
Luke just ignored her and ran through his song again, the chords, the riffs, the random pauses. He had titled this one “Good Girls”. It was about her. Her perfect behavior, her ability to not get caught, and just everything about Y/N made his blood boil. It didn't matter that she was his sister, she was so infuriating, that he hit at her with every line of the song.
Her and her perfect boyfriend, Eric Mathews. He was a senior, a jock, way too cocky, and she was a little miss perfect, sweet and kind, a junior.
Let’s just say, if Luke had a photo of the two of them, it would have darts in it.
~
“How’s it going in here, hun?” Mom said. She had a glass of water along with some cookies with her as she stepped into the room. Soft music came from the record player in the corner, a big contrast from the music in the room next to hers.
Y/N turned her grimace at the woman’s sudden appearance into a big bright smile as she turned around, closing her textbook but leaving a finger in so she wouldn't lose her place. “It’s good! I was struggling with this one concept, but I think I’ve got it down now.” Her mom smiled, and she knew she had picked the right words.
“Amazing! Well, I’ll leave these cookies with you in case you get hungry-,” A very loud guitar riff emerged from Luke’s room, and her mother’s happy, bright face turned into one of disgust. She always had a bone to pick with Luke. Maybe it was because of the band, maybe it was for just existing, Y/N didn’t know. She had a feeling she never would.
“Mom…” Y/N begged. She knew what was about to happen next, it had happened times before, and it wasn't like anything was gonna change this time. So, as her mom stepped into the hall she turned back to her book and tuned her shouts out.
“There.” The older woman said, stepping back into the girl’s room. She had tormented Luke, and now she focused her happy energy on the child she loved. “You’re doing great sweetie.” She assured Y/N.
As the door closed, Y/N sat back and let out a huge sigh. She loved her mother, but her distaste towards her son was unparalleled.
Soft guitar riffs came from Luke’s room, and she stood up quickly at the chance to see her brother.
Popping her head into the doorway, the exhale that Luke let out was one of relief. He thought I was mom, she thought. That scared her
You sound really good, she wanted to say. Can you teach me? But instead, she insulted him and gave him a half complement.
Not your best moment, Y/N, not your best moment.
~
“Are you gonna be in the library after school?” Luke asked Y/N as they biked to school. The ride wasn’t long, but it was one of the few times that the siblings got to talk to each other.
“Yeah,” she said. Her eyes had a dreamy kind of look to them. Luke wanted to call her out on her bullshit. Her goody-two-shoes bullshit.
“I better not catch you sucking face with him.” Luke’s voice was cold like steel. He didn’t like her boyfriend, and that was no secret.
She laughed, “Aww, do you not like seeing Eric kiss your little sister? Grow up, I’ll kiss who I want to.” She sped up, biking ahead of him.
“It’s not like I police who you kiss,” Y/N mumbled when she knew she was out of earshot.
“One of these days Mom’s gonna catch you!” He hollered.
“Good girls are bad girls that haven’t been caught! Let her live in her fantasy!” She shouted back.
Luke shook his head, and his next comment he muttered under his breath. “Maybe then she wouldn’t think you’re such a good girl.”
~
“Hey babe,” A voice whispered from behind Y/N.
She turned around to face Eric, and her eyes lit up as she saw him. “Hi! Sit down, I’m almost done with my history homework.”
“Alright, and then can you do me?” He asked as he sat down and your eyes went wide.
“Mon Dieu,” She said, sighing at his childish behavior.
“Ooh say more,” He grinned wickedly, thinking that she was saying something- not PG, and you looked back up at him from your homework. With a smug smile on your face, you spoke to him in French, knowing that he wouldn’t understand what you were saying.
“I love you so much, but you can be so dumb at times, you dumb idiot. Why you are so idiotic at times, I do not know, now would you please get me some snacks?” He laughed at the end.
“I have no clue what you said, but your face is asking me for snacks, ignoring the fact that you are one- gimme a sec, I’ll be right back with some!” He said, giving her a quick kiss before slightly jogging out of the library in search of the nearest vending machine.
~
“She is just so infuriatingly perfect, and she just gets praised 24/7 about it,” Luke complained during a pause in rehearsal.
“You wanna play Good Girls then? Throw all your anger into it?” Alex suggested.
Bobby chuckled, “That look on your face says yes, so let’s do it.”
She's a good girl, she's [mommy’s] favorite
[Mom's] saved for Harvard, [mom] knows she'll make it
She's good at school, she's never truant
She can speak French, and I think she's fluent
'Cause every night she studies hard in her room
At least that's what her parents assume
But she sneaks out the window to meet with her boyfriend
Here's what she told me the time that I caught 'em
She said to me, forget what you thought
'Cause good girls are bad girls that haven't been caught
So just turn around and forget what you saw
'Cause good girls are bad girls that haven't been caught
Whoa
Good girls are bad girls that haven't been caught
Whoa
Good girls are bad girls that haven't been caught
She's a good girl
A straight A-student
She's really into all that self-improvement
I swear she lives in that library
But if you ask her she'll say,
"That's where you'll find me!"
But if you look then you won't find her there
She may be clever but she just acts too square
'Cause in the back of the room, where nobody looks,
She'll be with her boyfriend, she's not reading books
She said to me, forget what you thought
'Cause good girls are bad girls that haven't been caught
So just turn around and forget what you saw
'Cause good girls are bad girls that haven't been caught
Good girls are bad girls and good girls are bad girls!
Good girls are bad girls and good girls are bad girls!
She's a good girl, hasn't been caught
She's a good girl, hasn't been caught
She said to me, forget what you thought
'Cause good girls are bad girls that haven't been caught
So just turn around and forget what you saw
'Cause good girls are bad girls that haven't been caught
She said to me, forget what you thought
'Cause good girls are bad girls that haven't been caught
So just turn around and forget what you saw
'Cause good girls are bad girls that haven't been caught
Whoa
Good girls are bad girls that haven't been caught
Whoa
Good girls are bad girls that haven't been caught
Whoa, whoa
Good girls are bad girls that haven't been caught
“Hey, that was a really good song!” Eric said, entering the garage. “Who’s it about?”
“Your girlfriend,” Bobby said.
“Yeah, you know what, we need to talk about that. Stay the hell away from her.” Luke said and then he stormed out of the garage.
“Dude what the hell! What’s your deal?” Eric said, walking out after him.
Luke scoffed, turning around. “What’s my deal? It’s you. I know guys like you, and you are going to break her heart. And then I have to pick up the pieces as she tries to look like the perfect girl she was to our parents. That’s my deal.”
“That’s all you think of me? That I’m just a jock that’ll cheat on her?” Eric paused for a second and then he spoke, harsher than before.
“Your band is no longer allowed to practice in my garage. Leave, or I’ll call the cops.”
