(the jason one is in reference to the fanon headcanon/au that Jason and Damian potentially knew each other and interacted while jason was in the league. I've thought about it before in context of this au, but haven't thought about it enough to feel inspired or motivated to make a post exploring the idea)

(diablito means, as you can guess, 'little devil'. while i'm neutral to latino jason, i think the nickname is cute as fuck and was danny's main nickname from Jason. i don't wanna touch that timeline so im not gonna decide how old they were when Jason was there.)

When do you think, while running his fingers over the scar he has to always remind himself that Bruce was willing to jeopardize Jason's own life just to save the Joker, Jason realized it was the same scar *he* gave Tim? And does it click for him too, that he and Tim are a lot alike? Being used as pawns in Bruce's game? And for the first time he maybe understands Tim Drake, just another kid trying to get Bruce's attention and approval? And Jason did to Tim exactly what Bruce did to Jason? And that's part of what spurns on Jason's obsession with Tim, trying to "save" Tim from Bruce's ideology?

When they finally get together does it make Jason even more possessive? He put that mark on Tim and now he has his own to match. It's the closest to being understood and loved he's ever felt when Tim runs his fingers over Jason's scar at the same time Jason touches Tim's. Mirrors of each other, in a fun, fucked up little way.

honestly, my favorite of my own stuff changes every time i post something, because my preferences for characterization/writing style evolve a bit every time i write - so, my most recent stuff is the best reflection of those tastes, etc etc.

right now, i'd say that i think "raised by winter winds" is my best written fic... but it doesn't focus on binghe enough for it to actually be my favorite, LMAO, so i'll say that my current fav of my own stuff is either "if you don't have your own boyfriend, rented is fine" or "stuffed with fluff (and blood and bones and rage)."

...basically, it really is more or less just "whatever i've written most recently" 😅

Fighting demons always comes with risks. Magical bullshit risks. Such as wedging a fiery exorcism stone into place atop a ritual pillar, and the risk of burning your hands so badly holding it there that you get benched in the middle of the apocalypse. Risks, like a self-sacrificing dumbass making himself into a shield for you, fighting off imps and withstanding the infernal storms of hell long enough for the exorcism to be performed— and the risk of maybe-sort-of-temporarily getting himself transformed into a demon as a result.  “Just a little,” or so the self-sacrificing dumbass claims.  The All Caste is involved, and it goes over Tim’s head (only because someone won’t spill their mystical-holy-order secrets to him), but at least Jason hasn't been permanently scarred by the darkness or whatever. Reportedly.  Tim remains skeptical.

Still baffled that Hopes so blatantly wrote Claude as the typical Evil Vaguely Middle Eastern Man set on destroying the Good White Nation for his Evil Vaguely Middle Eastern Nation that is often seen in fantasy settings - complete with him being seen as worse than a white woman who does many of the same evil deeds he does in-verse, even by his friends (should it be the bad ending route of SB) - and so many in the fandom were so eager to gobble that shit up. (it’s my first time playing bg3, i know nothing about the plot; DO NOT SPOIL ANYTHING FOR ME. currently im at moonrise towers and the extent of gale’s plot is that he’s been stabilised by elminster and has also just made the shadow lantern. shoutout to astarion for being the only one not to tell me that was a bad idea, that’s when you know you’re making good life choices)

so what i’m getting from this is that the big moral choice in gale’s story is gonna be to get forgiveness and acceptance from mystra (presumably before/without using the orb) vs embracing his own ambitions and, having a vague idea of the intensity of some of the endings, possibly going way off the deep end with that

while i don’t know the full story for other companions, im feeling like gale was probably the best choice for me in terms of playing an origin because im an extreme completionist and im going to get sage inspiration points all over the place, but im also going to push *everything*. i want to follow every potentiality to its end, make dodgy deals, play all sides, etc.

and surface-level that sounds good for playing as astarion (definitely getting a lot of charlatan inspiration), but what it really means is that i get a lot of approval from astarion and also i feel like it’s gonna affect the way gale’s story ends a lot more. gonna try not to go too far off the deep end but it’s gonna be pretty tempting lmao. i’ll just keep downing these tadpoles and ‘trusting’ my hot dream guy. nothing can possibly go wrong!
