A = Activities. What are their favourite things to do with you?

Steven often asks what you want to do, happy to go along with anything you wanted - even if it was something as simple as going to do a food shop, he was more than happy to come along. He had been dreaming of someone to share his time with for so many years now, that even the little things are fantastic for him. Evenings tend to go with you both cuddled up either in bed or on the sofa, Steven flicking through the tv until he finds something for you both to watch but eventually you end up reading a book or falling asleep.

B = Baby. Do they want a family? Why/Why not?

In his head he’ll always imagine having a home with you, a couple of kids running around as you live a pretty simple, domestic life. Him coming home after work to a warm house and loving family fills his heart with joy every time he thinks about it. But then he’s dragged back down by his other thoughts, questioning his own abilities and decides maybe it's best to not have kids as he’s not sure what kind of parent he would be. Steven would constantly flip between wanting and not wanting kids.

C = Cuddle. How do they cuddle?

As long as your pressed together as much as possible, he’s happy. Although him having his head on your chest as you both lay in bed reading a book is basically heaven to him.

D = Dates. What are dates with them like?

At the start they’re very traditional. Going out for dinners, ending the night with him walking you home - always making sure to buy you some flowers or some chocolates. But as time went on, you would start to go to museums or just have movie nights at home.

E = Everything. You are my ____ (e.g. my life, my world…)

F = Feelings. When did they know they were falling in love?

Steven is a man who falls hard and fast for a person. He knew it was love on your second date as he gushed about his workday, how he’s still trying to become a tour guide even though his boss keeps telling him it would never happen. He then went on to spurt out all of his knowledge about Egyptology and his love for it. He was a little nervous, so he kept rambling on and on and didn’t realise until you started to ask questions, watching him and genuinely interested about what he was saying. Although you were interested in it, you were more loving watching how passionate he was being about the topic. After about an hour of him rambling and you asking follow-up questions, he switched the topic of what you’re most interested in. Just like you, he adored how your eyes lit up when you spoke your passion. It was a look he loved with all his heart.

G = Gentle. Are they gentle? If so, how?

Oh my days he is so gentle. Almost like if he holds you too tightly, you’ll break. He’ll run his hands down your side as you cuddle, leaving a trail of goosebumps. His head resting on your chest as he listens to your heartbeat. The only time he’ll basically grip on to you is in his sleep. He’ll have his arms wrapped around you, pulling you into his chest as if he’s afraid you’ll slip away in the night.

He’s also gentle in the way he talks to you. Even in arguments, Steven would never ever yell at you. Yeah, he may get frustrated and a little sarcastic, but would never yell. 

H = Holding Hands. How do they like to hold hands?

Interlocked fingers, maybe absentmindedly swinging them as he walks along.

I = Impression. First impression/ how you met.

You were taking a tour around the museum with a couple of friends when you met Steven. It ended at the gift shop, your friends having a quick browse before deciding there was nothing of their interest, but you were tourn between a couple of things. Your friends left, saying they’ll meet you outside and that's when Steven came over to help out a customer, just like any other day. But as you looked up to him, a smile on your face as you explained you liked both of the things you were holding but only had enough money for one, asking for his opinion on which was better, Steven found himself staring a little more than he would like to admit. He could tell you were kind and couldn’t help himself when he said you could take one of the items with no extra cost. He would definitely get in trouble for it but seeing the smile on your face as you kept repeating your thanks, it was worth it. The next day you came in again, heading straight to the gift shop with some cash to give to Steven for the free item he gave you the day before.

J- Jealousy. Do they get jealous often/easily?

Not very often but every once in a while, he’ll have a bit of a jealous fit. You noticed it tended to come on when his sleep has been worse than usual, making him pretty hard to deal with sometimes. The latest time was when you met Steven at the museum to join him on his lunch break, he noticed you were talking to a couple security guards as you waited. In his mind you were smiling a little too much and they were laughing a little too hard at your jokes. But he won’t come out and say to you what's wrong though. Steven in more of a bubble up in silence type. Eventually you’ll coax him into telling you what's wrong and that's when all his jealousy mixed with insecurities come tumbling out of his mouth.

K = Kiss. How do they kiss?

Most of the time he would start with holding your chin between his finger and thumb, gently brushing his lips with your lips. But when you chased his lips as he would pull away, he would go back in. Moving both of his hands to the back of your neck, holding you in place. His kisses weren’t dominating at all but were always extremely passionate.

L = Love. Who says ‘I love you’ first?

You do, although Steven had been thinking it basically since your second date. He knew what he felt, but his inexperience in dating meant he wasn’t sure when the right time to say it would be. Although the moment you told him you loved him, he told you he loved you too every second he got.

M = Memory. What’s their favourite memory together?

The day you agreed to move in with him is certainly a treasured memory. You had been sleeping over constantly, neither of you wanting you to go back to your own place. Steven had even got rid of some of his stuff to make room for your own. One day when you had finally run out of your own clothes and had to head back to your own place for just a night or two, Steven had a sudden idea! 

“What if you just brought all your stuff over here? I could clear out some more space, y’know. So, you don’t have to go back...”

“Are you asking me to move in with you?” You asked, a huge smile creeping its way onto your face. Steven instantly felt more confident after seeing your reaction. 

“Yeah! Move in with me? Please?”

N = Nickel. Do they spoil? Do they buy the person they love everything?

He hasn't got much money to spend on you but that doesn’t stop him from trying his best. Steven will get you flowers once a week, whether it be cheap lilies or expensive roses. He also often tries to make you little things himself - dinners, gift cards, photo books etc to show his love.

O = Open. When would they open up and telling you things about themselves?

Steven admitted his sleeping issues on your third date. He wanted to make sure he let you know about it and how sometimes, his body must be so desperate for sleep that he sleeps through an entire day - the only explanation he can think of for why days seem to just disappear for him. He was terrified of the thought that he would miss a date with you and make you think he stood you up. Thankfully that didn’t happen until you had already been dating for a long time, at which point you knew Steven well enough to know it was a complete accident. 

Other than that Steven has always been a pretty open book with you. Loving having someone he can share things with. At the start he had a little bad habit of over-sharing but thankfully you thought that was pretty cute.

P = Petnames. What petnames do they use?

Most of the time its love but occasionally it will be darling.

Q = Quiz. How much would they remember about thier partner?

Steven, our sweet boy, would remember every single little thing. From how you liked your coffee in the morning to that Christmas present you hinted you wanted six months ago.

R = Rainy Day. How would they spend their rainy day off with you?

Steven is a sucker for a good cuddle. Money is a little tight so instead of turning the heating on during cold, raining winter days, he would opt to have you cuddled against him, a thick blanket over the two of you as you both read your own books. It would be silent except for the storm outside that would often lull Steven into a much-needed sleep, head resting on your shoulder as you ran your hand through his hair.

S = Sad. How do they cheer themselves up?

He still tends to struggle to explain his emotions sometimes. He may begin to try and explain but gets frustrated he can't communicate it properly. So instead, you got him a diary, hoping he may find it easier that way. He did and it actually helped him in finding ways to communicate with you. Of course, a hug and soothing words from you always worked as well.

T = Try. How much effort would they put into dates, anniversaries, everyday tasks etc.

Stevens love language is definitely acts of service. He would wake up every morning and make you a coffee or tea, making sure to wake you up for work with a kiss and a warm drink to start your day. Gifts wise, he was amazing! As said before, money is a little tight but that doesn’t stop him bringing things home from work often, saying how they’ve just got these new things in stock at the gift shop, and he knew instantly you would love it. 

Dates he would struggle a little. He knew of the basics, going out for dinner, going for walks etc. But when it came to doing something bigger and more exciting for anniversaries or birthdays? He had no idea. He thought maybe a more expensive restaurant would be good enough, not really having an idea of what else to do. Eventually though, you would start planning some dates and doing different things together which would give Steven a little inspiration of what to do next.

U = Ugly. What would be some bad habits of theirs?

Steven is messy. Like annoyingly, extremely messy. At first you didn’t mind too much but when you did finally move in and try to clean up his flat a little, it would annoy you to no end when he would come home and mess everything up almost immediately. You knew it wasn’t his fault and he didn’t do it on purpose but even so. When you spoke to him about though, you did notice he started to actively try and be tidier. Though it didn’t make much of a difference - you still appreciated it. 

V = Vanity. How concerned are they with how they look?

Not concerned at all most of the time. He often had tired eyes, hair sticking up a little where he would try to tame down the curls but never really succeeding, clothes never ironed and always slightly baggy. But on the occasion, he would make an effort for you. Putting on a suit and tie and even ironing it. 

W = Wedding. When, how, where do they propose?

Steven did have a big plan. He had a reservation at a beautiful restaurant, set aside some money to buy himself a new suit and you a new outfit too. He picked the perfect ring out and was going to buy some flowers to match the colour of the stone. But one evening, when you were both in your pjs, lying on the sofa watching a documentary, Steven looked down at you. Your head was lying on his legs, one hand under his thigh as you hugged his legs. He could see your eyes were starting to droop as he ran his fingers through your hair but could tell you were trying your best to stay awake. In that moment of pure domestic bliss, the words ‘marry me’ slipped past his lips without him even realising it. 

X = XO. How do they show you affection?

He’s an act of service kind of man but he’s also very touch deprived. He likes to have a hand on you pretty much at all times, especially when you’re out. Whether that's holding your hand, having his hand on your waist or just standing close enough that your arms brush. Steven also often gives you random kisses, muttering ‘I love you’s’ as he does so. He does little things but does them a lot.

Y = Yearn. What do they do when they miss you?

He’ll take a moment to use the diary you brought him, trying to get out his emotions but usually ends up writing about you. He’ll often burn your favourite candle as well, the smell filling his flat reminding him of you. He did worry sometimes about coming off as needy so would have to learn to cope without your presence with him 24/7, but that doesn’t mean he likes it.

Z = Zebra. If they wanted a pet, what would they get?

He loves Gus to pieces, but Steven also likes the thought of having a house cat. A cuddly little thing, all warm and fluffy. He brings it up to you all the time until eventually you both go out and adopt one.

💖 He just wants to be able to touch you. I think he'd prefer his arms around you with him cuddling his face into your hair, but as long as he's touching you in SOME way he's happy.

💖 When is he NOT affectionate? That's the real question. If he's not touching you, it's not by his choice and he's not happy about it.

B is for Blood: How messy are they willing to get for their darling? Why?

🔪 Nishnoya is loyal af. Like, if you're bullied or hit on, he's having none of that. Those bullies/flirts are in for a bad time.

🔪 Would he kill? I don't THINK so. Unless, of course, he HAS to. Or he goes overboard when beating someone who had the AUDACITY to grope you into a bloody pulp.

C is for Care or Cruelty: How would they treat their darling when they kidnap them? Would they mock them?

💔 Nishinoya is not going to mock you at all and he's not going to be cruel. He's a worshipper (have you SEEN him with Kiyoko?) and you'd be treated like a goddess.

💔 You'd be taken care of better than you've ever been. Everything you could ever want will be in your hand before you can ask for it. He knows you so well, after all!

D is for Delusion: How delusional are they when it comes to their darling? Do they believe their darling loves them?

💭 How delusional? Yes. Just yes. Nishinoya is one of the most delusional yanderes out there.

💭 He doesn't EXACTLY believe that you're in love with him, but he knows you will be soon. As long as he treats you right, and he sure as heck is, you'll see just how much you two are meant for each other.

💭 Nishinoya knows that you're happy with him! Your tears and begging to go home is just you being a little confused. It just means he has to try harder!

E is for Expose: How much of their heart do they bear to their darling? How vulnerable are they when it comes to their darling? How much time will it take to trust them?

💧 You can know anything you want to if you just ask him! Even if you don't ask, he'll at least rant and rave about how amazing you are and every minuscule reason you're absolutely perfect.

💧 Nishinoya doesn't even need a second thought, a single hesitation. He'll tell you anything, anything!

F is for Fight: How would they react if their darling fought back?

👊 Nishinoya would be HEARTBROKEN. But... you're just confused, right? You're... You're just confused, yeah! This is new for you! He'll do better, he swears!

👊 He'll sit back and let you tire yourself out, just dodging you or closing you away in your room until you calm down. He'd never raise a hand against you, even if you punch him to death.

G is for Guilt: What would it take for them to feel guilty about their actions? Or do they feel guilty from the start?

😔 Nishinoya probably will never feel guilt. He's extremely delusional, like I said. He honestly believes he's improving your life by removing you from society.

😔 The only time I can imagine Nishinoya feeling guilty is if you got hurt somehow. He's supposed to be improving your life, and now you're hurt? He screwed up-

H is for Hell: What would be their darling’s worst experience with them?

🔥 To be honest, it'd be hard to have a bad day with Nishinoya. He worships the ground you walk on, why would he make you miserable?

🔥 I guess resistance is futile though. You don't want to cuddle today? Well, he'll just squeeze tighter until you realize you do! You want to go home? This is your new home, silly!

I is for Ideals: What kind of future do they have in mind for/with their darling?

👩‍❤️‍👨 Nishinoya really believes in a forever with you. When you both die, you'll go to heaven together. But before then: you'll grow old together.

👩‍❤️‍👨 He really cares about what you want. If you don't want kids, he won't force them on you. If you want as many kids as possible, he's your man! And he'll be the best father in the entire world!

J is for Jealousy: How easily do they get jealous? Do they lash out or find a way to cope?

💢 It doesn't take much to get Nishinoya jealous. He's the one that loves you, adores you, and worships you. No one else treats you as well as he does, so they don't deserve to be in your vicinity, look at you, even breathe the same air as you!

💢 Did... did you just smile and laugh at his joke? Nononono- Nishinoya can be funny! And... and how DARE that guy tell you a joke? It better not have been a dirty joke either-

K is for Kidnap: How would they go about kidnapping their darling? How much do they plan it out?

🔒 Nishinoya wanted to kidnap you the moment he fell in love with you. That's probably not healthy (definitely not healthy) but he knew this twisted world could never take care of a goddess like you.

🔒 I think Nishinoya wouldn't be able to plan too far ahead. He's not exactly the sharpest knife in the drawer. All it takes is one good opportunity and you're suddenly finding yourself in a cozy bedroom decorated in your favorite color and filled with your favorite things.

L is for Love Letters: How would they go about courting or approaching their darling?

💌 One day you're living your normal life and the next day you've got a small guy with black hair (except that little blonde streak) trailing after you like a lovesick puppy.

💌 Can you really complain when he's giving you cute little plushies of your favorite animals, your favorite treats, lots of chocolate, and literally everything you like. Wait... how does he know what you like?

M is for Mask: Are their true colors drastically different from the way they acted before?

🎭 Uhhh kinda sorta? I mean, his friends wouldn't expect him to kidnap you BUT it just seems to them like Nishinoya moved on to the next Kiyoko. And, considering how he treated her, it's not all that surprising to see him acting obsessive towards you.

🎭 Honestly, I don't think anyone would notice the difference in obsessions. Tanaka would think it's totally normal and be super glad he no longer shows interest in Kiyoko or his older sister. Asahi might notice that Nishinoya's love for you is way beyond even his previous love for Kiyoko but I don't think it'd concern him too much.

N is for Naughty: How would they punish their darling?

🚓 He wouldn't. You're perfect in his eyes. The most I can see him doing is giving you some "alone time" in your room, but that's honestly just to calm you down if you're freaking out. You get a break and he can't access you. So it's more of a blessing for you and torture for him anyways.

O is for Oppression: How many rights would they take away from their darling? What rights can be earned with time and trust?

📜 You'd have free run of the house, mostly, but you aren't leaving. You're not safe out in the evil world out there, so please don't go near that locked door, okay?

P is for Patience: How patient are they with their darling?

🕊️ Nishinoya doesn't really know the meaning of patience but he'll do his best to give you the time you need. He genuinely doesn't understand why you're resisting his love so much and he keeps trying to speed up the process.

Q is for Quit: If their darling dies, leaves, or successfully escapes, would they ever be able to move on?

🏃‍♀️ If you die, so does he. He can't live without you, so he'll follow you into the afterlife.

🏃‍♀️ To be fair, you probably can take advantage of his delusional mind and unwavering trust to escape. But that wouldn't be the end, unfortunately. Nishinoya would literally search the ends of the earth for you until he finds you.

R is for Rage: How do they act when angry? How do they calm down?

👿 Picture a toddler throwing a fit because he didn't get the toy he wanted. That's Nishinoya.

👿 You aren't getting hurt or anything, don't worry about that. You do, however, have to deal with him wrapping his arms around your legs and sobbing into them.

👿 He'll calm down when he's got his arms around you, his face buried in your hair, and you finally going limp in his hold.

S is for Soulmate: What made them fall in love with their darling? How did they first meet? When did they realize they loved their darling?

💍 You're so beautiful in your own unique way, and Nishinoya can't get enough of you. His biggest wish, the moment he met you, was to stroke your hair and soft skin.

💍 If you're a smarty pants, you were tutoring him. He specifically asked for a girl tutor. If you're not a smarty pants, he met you in class or you were both getting tutored in some sort of study group. It'd probably have to do with tutoring, okay?

💍 It was love at first sight. And if you called him senpai you sealed your own fate, okay? That's on you.

T is for Tears: How do they feel about seeing their darling scream, cry, and/or isolate themselves?

😭 You absolutely shatter Nishinoya's heart when you cry. He wants you happy! Seeing you sad means he's failing. He wants to try harder but you keep saying nonsense about how you "want to go home" or that you "miss your family". Why isn't he enough? He thought he was doing so well!

😭 Isolating yourself is the biggest punishment for Nishinoya. Being unable to touch you is enough torture, being unable to see or hear you? God, are you TRYING to kill him? He can't take this- please come out- PLEASE- He just needs to know you're okay! He loves you so, so much!

U is for Unique: Would they do anything different from the classic yandere?

👌 Nishinoya is a worshipper x100. You could screw up as much as you want and he'll still think you're 100% perfect. You don't have to worry about him hurting or punishing you too harshly. Honestly, you're relatively safe with him.

👌 You actually have a good chance of escaping. He'll likely pick a house far away from society though and he DEFINITELY won't give up just because you got away. You better have a good plan because you really don't want him upping the security "until you get used to your new home a little more".

V is for Visit: Would they allow anyone else to visit their darling? Do they trust their darling to talk to their loved ones (in person, on the phone, etc.) or not at all?

🧳 Simple answer is no. You only need him. He's the only one worthy to be in your presence.

W is for Weakness: What weakness can their darling exploit in order to escape?

❌ You're literally the embodiment of his weakness. He's weak for you. Fake a pout or smile and he's wrapped around your finger in an instant.

❌ Although you can't negotiate your release or the ability to contact/visit the outside world, you CAN get practically anything you want. Which means you can use things he gives you to escape. Or you can just enjoy your life of being worshipped and spoiled.

X is for Xoanon: How much would they revere or worship their darling? To what length would they go to win their darling over?

🛐 Nishinoya would do ANYTHING for you. He would literally drop to his knees and kiss your feet- and he probably will. He may not be able to let you leave him or return to society, but he'll make up for it in every way possible.

Y is for Yearning: How long do they pine after their darling before they snap?

😍 Nishinoya wouldn't last long without you. He loves you so, so much and just wants you in his arms. The more you hang around others and the longer you go about your normal life, the more stressed you make him. He needs to rescue you from this awful world...

Z is for Zero Tolerance: What is the thing that always makes them snap? What things will they not allow their darling to do under any circumstances?

0️⃣ The thing that Nishinoya can't stand is you trying to escape, but he doesn't exactly "snap". It's more like a panic attack and tantrum as he drags you back into the house, begging you to explain what he can do better and what he did wrong.

seeing as we don’t get much backstory on jackson in the movie, i took inspiration from the first draft of rodat’s script  ---  it’s very different from the finished product, but jackson actually talks about his home and family, so hey, i’ll take it.

A   :   AFFECTION.   how does your muse show affection?

He’s very much not the PDA type. It’s not something he’s comfortable with  ---  caring for someone, in his experience, shouldn’t be a loud gesture. Jackson’s not the type to verbalize his affection, but he shows it off in actions. He’ll offer his coat to someone when they’re shivering, share his last cigarette, wordlessly lay his hand over someone else’s when it seems they need steadying...  Jackson’s affection is obviously, and grounded in stone.

B   :   BOUQUET.   does your muse like flowers? which ones are their favourite?

His mama raised him right  ---  if you’re visiting someone’s home for an occasion, you bring the lady of the house flowers. He doesn’t usually give them out as presents, but he will show up with some for any party or lunch date at someone else’s home. (All his friends’ moms adore him.) Usually they’re wildflowers which he’s picked himself and arranged into a neat little bouquet  ---  Jackson doesn’t believe in spending money on flowers when so many nice ones are growing outside all the time.

C   :   CHOCOLATE.   does your muse like chocolate? which one is their favourite?

He’s got a particular fondness for it, especially not having had much of it growing up. Legitimately thinks dark chocolate is good, and will say as much to anyone who asks, with no idea why this makes certain Reiben people so angry.

D   :   DATE.   what is your muse’s ideal date? where / who with / etc?

He’s a simple man; doesn’t need a lot. Maybe a nice nature walk, just the two of them, where they can fill the silence with soft conversation? That sounds nice...  or maybe a night under the stars, laying side-by-side on a blanket in a field somewhere, a campfire smouldering next to them, while they stare up at an incredibly bright night. There’s no better place to feels close to the heavens, or his partner.

E   :   EMBRACE.   does your muse like hugs? what are their hugs like?

Jackson’s hugs are serious, very firm, tight enough to press some of his own strength into the other person’s body. He usually only hugs to offer someone comfort  ---  one-armed, pulling them against his chest just so they know they aren’t alone. Softer things, like snuggling...  well, he’s never really done that, outside of childhood puppy piles with the cousins, so he’d have to relearn the skill.

F   :   FLIRT.   is your muse good at flirting? how do they flirt?

Jackson isn’t refined, but his charm is undeniable  ---   when out on the town, he’s impressive without trying. Maybe it’s the confidence, maybe it’s the smooth way he handles himself, maybe it’s that he can hold his liquor like a champ but is more willing to show off his beautiful grin with a few beers in him...  Jackson rarely has a problem getting acquainted with women.

G   :   GIFT.   is your muse good at gift - giving or do they struggle to get it right?

He doesn’t have a lot of money for gifts, is the thing. As a kid, they always exchanged homemade stuff, but somehow it’s not as cute from an adult man; so Jackson tends to save his money, not scattering gifts throughout the year, but treating his loved ones to big, expensive gifts once in a blue moon. He bought an ice cream maker, he bought a piano  ---  once, he and his brothers even pooled their money to buy their mother a spa vacation. Jackson’s gifts are very useful, and enjoyed by more than one person. (Intimate gifts, just for one  ---  like, for a partner  ---  make him nervous, and he’s never quite sure what to buy.)

H   :   HEART.   is your muse quick or slow to give their heart away?

He’s got a few walls up, and they’re hard to take down; he doesn’t like getting close to people, and doesn’t like them knowing too much about him. People are nosy, and don’t always have the best intentions...  so he’d need someone to grow on him slowly, while he can gradually let them in more and more.

He does, in a very quiet way. It’s not something he’ll speak up about. Jackson’s a watcher, a waiter, and he’ll observe the situation from a distance to first decide if there’s anything he should be concerned about. He trusts his partner implicitly, he just doesn’t trust other fellas around them. If the other person doesn’t step off after awhile, he’s not above challenging them to something, like a shooting match or a game of darts, just to casually assert his superiority...  and then, if they still don’t get the hint, he’ll pull them aside and warn in a low voice that they should keep distance from his partner.

K   :   KISS.   is your muse a good kisser? why / why not?

Jackson is a very intense kisser. He loves steering his partner, pulling them close with his left hand while cupping their face with his right; one thumb will stroke over their cheekbone as the motion of their lips steadily builds heat. He might slowly guide them back against the nearest surface, so he can loom over them, slowly baring down; when his lips get involved, nipping and teasing his partner’s lips, that’s when he starts to get really serious.

L   :   LOVE.   who does your muse love?

First and foremost, Jesus Christ, his lord and savior. Then his family, all thirty-two of them (give or take a few cousins); Jackson’s particularly close to his mother, who he thinks is the most patient woman God ever put on this earth. He’s got a deep love for some of the friends he made while at war, and is the sort of man who’d hold them in his heart even if he hadn’t seen them in years.

M   :   MOONLIGHT.   is morning or night a more romantic setting?

At night, he prefers to be asleep, and has no trouble getting that way. (Jackson’s well-known for his talent of passing out anywhere.) Anytime before noon are the perfect hours to spend with his partner, doing anything they like; he’s always a fan of a good breakfast, so given the opportunity, he’d love to share it with his partner.

N   :   NAUGHTY.   what is your muse like in bed?

He takes it slow; there’s no rush, after all, and half the fun is in building up the sensations until both he and his partner are ready to burst. Jackson is very serious about foreplay...  and very skilled at it. He trails his hands slowly up and down his partner’s body, devoting special attention to any areas that snare his interest. While he doesn’t say anything, he’ll humm or sigh, sometimes even chuckling at his partner’s reactions; he prefers to be in control, but it’s exhilarating when his partner flips the dynamic. Jackson grew up listening to his papa and uncles preach. Though plainspoken men in practice, up on that pulpit, they transformed; they could take the words of the Gospels straight from the page, give them wings, and send them soaring. From them, Jackson learned the virtue of eloquence, the skill of talking yourself up and making your intentions know. He’s a man of few words, but when he does speak, those words are well-articulated and full of intention.

P   :   PARTNER.   what does your muse look for in a partner? looks / personality?

Honestly, Jackson would do best with a partner who’s also religious  ---  someone who’s faith matters to them as much as it does to him. He was raised in a travelling ministry  ---  while he’s always kind of expected to follow that path, meeting his partner might change his mind, but faith will always be a bit part of his life. He’ll want to raise a religious family. Aside from that...  a partner who’s empathetic, who cares about people, who doesn’t feel the need to constantly fill silences, nonjudgemental, not too high-maintenance. Maybe someone who enjoys being outdoors, who loves animals, especially dogs...  someone who likes to dance, because Jackson loves to...  someone with a warm smile.

Q   :   QUESTION.   would your muse ask the big question or expect their partner to?

He’d absolutely ask, but it’d have to be in his own time. While Jackson wouldn’t be able to afford an expensive ring, he’d hope his partner would settle for his mother’s wedding band, passed through the family since his great-grandmother stole it from a travelling circus. Jackson would find a quiet patch of field  ---   somewhere with a nice view, maybe looking out over a wheat field or a meadow of flowers  ---  and lure his partner up there with the promise of a picnic. Only as they’re packing up the scraps, after a very pleasant afternoon, would he get down on one knee. “Nothing would make me a happier man than to spend the rest of my god-given life with you...  if you’ll have me.”

R   :   ROMANCE.   is your muse a romantic or a cynic?

He’s got a romantic side, and won’t deny it. Given the opportunity and the means, Jackson would love to treat his partner; he wants to see them smiling over a dinner he made himself, to see candlelight dance in their eyes and a ring he got them on their finger. Unfortunately, he’s aware of his own limited means   ---   he may never have the money to wine-and-dine his lover in the world’s most romantic places, so they’ll have to settle with making every day special, in little ways. None of his friends would expect it of him, but he’s got a real soul for romance.

S   :   SWEETHEART.   did your muse have a childhood sweetheart?

He traveled a lot with the family ministry, so Jackson never stayed in place long enough. He didn’t go to school as a boy (which is why his reading’s not quite up to snuff) so his interaction with other kids, outside of the extended family, was limited. Never had a chance to find a sweetheart.

T   :   TRUE LOVE.   does your muse believe in true love?

Sure  ---  call him traditional, or a romantic, or whatever you like. It’s no skin off his back. Jackson believes love is the purest form of human emotion, what God created mankind to do. If they were put on this earth with the ability to kill, they’ve got to love twice as hard to make up for it...   and maybe the people who’ve never taken a life are able to love the most, but loving comes naturally to most everyone.

U   :   UNREQUITED.   has your muse had their heart broken?

Thankfully, no. He doesn’t have many things haunting his dreams at night, and does his best not to dwell on the past. The worst he’s been hurt in life is losing his grandpa, seeing one of the family dogs catch rabies, and seeing his family go hungry some nights. Nothing romantical, just the aches 'n pains of life.

V   :   VALENTINE.   how does your muse feel about valentine’s day?

It’s...  not something his family ever celebrated? Lowkey, it just wasn’t a thing for them, so while he was aware of it, it was never a big deal. Should he get a partner who wants to participate in the holiday, Jackson will make every effort to learn  ---  and probably become dead-set on giving them the best damn Valentine’s Day they’ve ever had  ---   but he might be a little clueless. 

W  :   WEDDING.   would your muse get married? why / why not?

Yessir. Not a question he has to think about. Getting married is something he definitely wants  ---  the idea of spending the rest of his life with someone appeals to him, so long as it’s someone who loves him back. Jackson doesn’t need constant passion; he’ll settle for companionship, good company, and a bit of love. Marriage seems like the best way to make if official.

Nothing embarrassing. (He’s very sensitive to embarrassing nicknames, having been called “Jackrabbit” by his family for the first twelve years of his life.) Jackson sticks to the traditional “darling”, and it’s a favorite. Uttered in that honey-sweet accent, he knows just how to make his partner blush.

Y   :   YOURS.   does your muse get protective easily?

Very protective, and he doesn’t mess around. When Jackson sets his mind to it, he’s intimidating as hell. He’ll come up behind someone, looming taller than his actual height, with a glare on his face that could wilt flowers. Anyone who doesn’t take the hint and step off  ---   quickly  ---  is asking for a chance to become personally acquainted with the Lord.

Z   :   ZZZ.   how many people has your muse slept with?

...  he comes from a small, extremely religious community that would not take kindly to sleeping around. Daniel hasn’t had many partners. Maybe 3, maybe 4? Most of them were found overseas. Good Lord’s always watching, even in the bedroom.  (He always gives the Lord a show.)

Wow thanks ! (^^)/ I’m honoured to be trusted enough to give fic recommandations ! I mostly choose my authors currently, so I will do something similar here. 

@piperemerald : (Piper_Emerald on Ao3), Mostly Norray. One of my favorite authors in the fandom! She planifies everything in her fics, which means you are guaranteed to have a good and smooth reading, I once got so caught up in one of her works that I missed my subway station. Incredible writing, but most importantly very good characterization, all her characters feel human and real (which is something I appreciate a lot). I would love to just recommend all of her fics right on the stop but it would be too long, so I’ll simply select a few ones.

Falling For Your Voice (Norman/Ray, rated M, Emma/Violet and Yuugo/Lucas as backgrounds ships) : Modern Life AU where Norman is a renowned singer and Ray a famous but anonymous writer, the both falling in love with each other through the words in their works. What I said about the author is still the same, incredible writing style, amazing characterization, at the same time funyt, tender, and kind of heartbreaking too. It was the first fic I read from her and I have no regrets. 11 chapters of pure bliss. I want to also precise that, while rated M, there’s no explicit sex scenes despite having mentions of it. And all characters are aged-up of course.

An Hour To Midnight (Norman/Ray, rated T) : Coffee Shop AU. I... Don't really have nothing more to say to describe the work. I want to spoil as less as possible because there’s a ton of little details that I love in this one-shot. It’s a coffee shop au, but a really good one. One of my favorite work by the author. If I only have to say one thing to recommend it: Ray is dislexic and I live for that.

Now, I will stop there for Piper_Emerald, but I could also recommend Language Barrier and Pomegrenate Seed as well as Cursed and In The Next Mile too. All Norray. And all amazings. But this time I prefer to let you check by yourself.

Now then , to our next author: @justanotherbnhalover (hi) (7FlyingPancakes7 on Ao3), like previously, mostly Norray. No, I don’t have a bias because we get along, I sincerely love her fics a lot. It depends on the fic more this time, but I particularly adores the AUs she makes and the universes she creates around it, they are not just good fics, but good stories too. Her writing style is amazing, able to capture every little thought of her characters like she is putting us in their heads (not excluding intrusive thoughts too). The writing style is what captivates me a lot too, she just creates sentences that makes you shiver.

To Die For (Norman/Ray, rated M for… explicit reasons) : What can you do when a serial killer falls in love with you? THIS FIC. THIS FIC. I have a personal history with fanfics depicting unhealthy relationships, and THIS FIC is awesome. Not only its a clear example of how far the author can go with writing intrusive thoughts,  but also a great thriller. Will Ray discover that Norman is the killer? Or will Norman manage to fool the person he loves for his whole life? WHO KNOWS. The fic isn’t finished yet, but I would recommend you to read it anyway.

This Song Is For You (Norman/Ray, rated T) : Mermaid AU where Mermaid Norman gets charmed by Ray’s singing. A very interesting take on a Mermaid AU ! But it’s not just the context, the story itself is good. Unlike other fics, it’s not as mystery centered as others, but the Mermaid universe is enough to get completely into it. Not only that, but again, a very good writing, and as funny as always too... I love Mermaid stories so be prepared yourself to be given more.

Now, I could’ve recommended other fics, but TSIFY is the only finished Mermaid fic (hence why I recommended it) and I wanted to propose something else besides Smile (While You Can), though I still recommend it too.

Another author (and finally not Norray, at least I’ll choose some that are not Norray) @amaikana ! (hi) (amaitori on Ao3 for non explicit works). Very productive author ! ... Does not finish their multi-chapters fic a lot though. (Think of them as this book entirely made of first chapters). But every single one-shots are a ray of light in the darkness (mostly because some of them are very funny). Is mostly focused on slice of life short stories, so it’s also nice to take a break from all those angsty fics! I would categorize her as the “feel good” author. There’s some angsty stuff, but the majority of the works are mostly fluff.

Blue Eyes (Gen, rated G, some Rayemma on te side but nothing more) : Cute stories about Ray and his new adopted brother Norman. A serie of cute one-shots with Norman being 6 years old and Ray 10. Like I said, very good to feel good, it’s adorable, it’s funny, and it’s about kids. 

Chance Among the Stars (Norman/Emma, rated T, Ray and Norman are biological brothers) Fate/Stay Night Heaven’s Feel AU. It’s more than just because I am a Fate fan, but this fic is genuinely one of her best works. It’s filled with emotions and magical lores and it’s cool as hell. Also, I like angst.

And that’s it because those are mostly really short one-shots or series of one-shots so... it’s better to see for yourself ! :D (Also lots of OT3 to my joy).

Now, we will go into the territory of fics that I read without checking the author’s other works a lot. It’s not that I dislike the author’s other works, let’s just stay I mostly remember the fic (and only started to do it by author recently too).

I got a ticket to another world (Norman/Ray, rated T, written by heismysoulmate) : Norman adopts a very strange cat. A cool fantastic one-shot and a cool short story overall. The characters are interesting, and the relationship development is good.

pushing youth to the limits (Norman/Emma/Ray, not rated but definitely M, written by sugacookies_with_tae) : A cleptomaniac, a murderess and a depressive on a road trip. It’s what I’ll say to summarize the plot, because if you’re like me, you’ll think “wow, it’s either really good or really bad, I’m going to read it”. Spoiler: it’s good, it’s good in the type “who cares?”. I don’t know how to describe it, it’s just a bunch of fucked up kids trying to live and it’s somehow interesting? Wow. (Also, if its plot comes from a K-pop music video. I watched it, and uh... actually don’ t. It’s not that the music is bad or the clip is bad, it’s just that you might try to compare it to the fic, and I honestly prefer to just enjoy the story.)

love me like you do (Ray/Emma, rated T, written by isshun) : Actors AU. I don’t know what else I have to say to describe it, it’s just good. The author alternates between the actors living their life and what people say on the internet with very realistic tweets. It’s super cute and very nice, and slow-burn too. A very good one-shot overall.

Deep Blue (Norman/Ray (YES AGAIN), rated T, written by NanamiChiLovesYou) : Mermaid AU, Little Mermaid AU, Ray, a mermaid, transforms himself into a human in order to find a way to protect his family who still lives under the sea. This fic has awaken a lot of us to Mermaids, and for good reasons. It’s very good. The whole transformation thing is perfectly executed, all characters are intersting... And it’s unifinshed (*goes sobbing in a corner*). But it doesn’t matter, because it’s just awesome ! Unlike with TSIFY, the universe is less developed in order to focus more on the characters and their interactions, which definitely gives another vibe.

Once upon a time a star fell from the heavens, it was a special one, the protector of the moon prince ages away from this world, during his last breath after a deadly battle with the king of nightmares, he found a small gentle boy who found lost children and helped them get through the forest. Nightlight was the star’s name and he knew upon seeing Jack’s eyes he was the one he would pass his mission and spirit to . Becoming one and the same with the boy , Jack thought he was dreaming .

Born in a humble family, Jack was known for being a joker as well a trickster around the village. He loved playing around with the children and taking care of them, particularly fond of his little sister . she was his little girl, with a bright future ahead and a heart of gold, which is why he didn’t hesitated to risk his own life to save hers, one fateful day both were playing over a frozen lake . 

Death was his rebirth, Jack always was special after all. Upon seeing his sacrifice the man in the moon felt nostalgic by the boy and his former Nightlight , in return he took him out of the frozen lake and gave him a new life as a guardian spirit . That was Nightlight’s intention after all, the problem was he had no memories whatsoever of his previous life only the name given by the man in the moon .

For many years Jack Frost was a almost forgotten name, he wasn’t seen by just anyone , and for those who did he was known to be a rascal who played awful pranks with a very questionable alliance . Some even thought he was evil for the many times he almost spoiled Christmas, or even Easter ! It was a surprise that he was meant to be a future guardian , for a moment he despised the idea but learned to embrace his nature , found his center , regained his memories and became part of the one unorthodox family of guardians .

Frost wanders around the world , bringing winter where and when it’s meant to come , spends time with children and makes sure they aren’t afraid of the dark . After all it helped them to believe in his friends and worked as an annoyance to the infamous Pitch .

FABLETOWN:

The boy woke up one day in the middle of town square, as to how and why he was there he didn’t know , he roamed everywhere confused and lost . He remembered the looks on the folks town for his hair was ridiculously white like snow and shined like starlight, god he hated it since a child !  Of that he knew . Though it didn’t mattered , for he couldn’t recall his past , did he hit his head ? If he didn’t when he woke up he sure did when he fainted again .

The second time he woke up was in the hospital , and while he was taken care of , no one came to see him . No emergency numbers , not even one visitor . Daeyoung Yoo , his name was everything he could recall , but even that wasn’t enough to track for a family member . He waited for days , weeks , until he left on his own . If he was unwanted , might as well be the best at it.

For a long time he spent his time in the worst parts of the city but that only made it easier to get to truly know the town , until he managed to find a place to stay at and work , sure being a barista was never in his plans -- but again he didn’t know what his plans were beforehand. At the very least it helped to bring food to the table and pay for rent .

HEADCANONS:

A lot of people thought of him like an albino , and called him names like a ghost , his pale skin and natural cold temperature didn’t helped either which is why he resorted to dye his hair at every chance he gets . However his silver white roots always enjoy to make appearances . 

For some reason it doesn’t matter how much he tries to scare the children away , they always come back to him . At first he was annoyed , and while sometimes he makes faces when he hears another random child to come his way deep down he adores them and would never do anything to harm them . In fact most of his troubles come from getting into fights with those -specially growns- who have a weird tendency to bicker at children. Sometimes he even urges the kids to very fun games .

When he genuinely laughs, it gets so contagious . Some would even say his smile and laugh is just as pure as joy itself .

The young man is known to get into all kinds fo trouble and drag you with him .

Hates rules and shoes with a passion .

Sometimes he gets flashbacks of messed up memories , a family ? a sister ? No it can’t be . Running away from home ? Watching the moon ? it gets all messed up in his head and sometimes he feels like he’s going to lose it . They are all altered memories by the curse .

The name Daeyoung Yoo belongs to kid he met in the old world , he was one of a kind , and tried to keep winter calm for his own fragile health , the boy left on spring and his memory stuck in his head . When he woke up in the new world, that was the only name he could recall and believed it was his.

TETHER:

Jack Frost’s infamous staff . It was the tool he used to save his sister in the frozen lake , it was the first thing he found when he rose from the cold waters , it was his mean to transfer his powers in a more controlled manner . It was only natural it was taken away from him , a piece of wood hidden in grass somewhere in the woods , somewhere where it can be easily broken or stolen . Besides let’s face it , in this new life he can barely survive on his own who has time to have fun in the woods when you have a whole town ?

This ep was a roller coaster oh my god. Non stop plot not that the tournament is done, and we saw like EVERY CHARACTER my feeble heart could not keep up. The ONLY thing that bothered me was part of the fight sequence at the end, like it was half drawn beautifully half animated so stiff and blocky ??? Threw me for a loop. But next week is only gonna get more intense??? I’m gonna guess we’ll get through the Elder Centipede fight??? But then what does that mean for the last episode??? I am full of SO MANY QUESTIONS??? I really don’t want the season to end yet, 12 eps is not enough. There’s only 2 more. Just. I’m not ready to let go of my bbs it feels like I only JUST got them… Well! Good Omens:A First Foray

The First Impressions of a Viewer with No Context

I knew a good chunk of the plot because at first I honestly wasn't going to watch it, so I didn't really shield myself from any spoilers on tumblr.

That being said, I was hooked right from episode 1. I went into it thinking I was gonna be all over Crowley (given my other favourite characters in most other franchises) but the first time Aziraphale smiled I M E L T E D. SO PURE AND SWEET Also when "Aziraphale" was said I had a moment of 'oh. that's how you say that' Also the earth and my mom share a birthday. When Nanny Ashtoreth showed up I KNEW I was gonna need more content of her. Wife 100%

The fact that, try as they may, Zira and Crowley are completely incompetent and really only matter in the last like 16 minutes before the end of the world is really great. It's like watching a show that's about the really interesting side characters you get to see for 2 minutes and WISH you got 6 hrs of. Thank you, Neil.

Ep 2 we get to meet Newt and Anathema and omg I love them. I need Anathemas wardrobe ugh. And newt??? disaster Newton Pulsifer??? he's a mood. Not totally sure how I feel about their relationship but I love the contrast of "hey we just met like an hour ago and we're dating now thnks" to "we've known each other for 6000 years but there's no way he likes me the same way? side note, isn't it funny how the world is always emitting a low buzz of love my dear?" "ngk"

Agnes is amazing and I love how sassy she is. 10/10. I love how Aziraphale is not at ALL concerned about being shoved against a wall by Crowley. Like not one bit. He's like "oh finally, it's only taken you 6 millenia" honestly same

Ep 3 gives us the 30 minute cold open who's only purpose is to show how these two kept coming back to each other for 6 millenia, no matter how the last meeting may have gone. Here are a few thoughts:

Crowley has very pretty hair. Also I could 100% see by this point how these two have been gay for each other since day 1. Er rather day 7? Golgotha Crowley is v pretty and learning later that those are traditionally female garments was a treat. That scene was otherwise hard to watch, and they definitely thought so as well. The globe theatre was really fun to watch, I love Shakespeare. Sadly, Hamlet reminds me of my awful 10th grade English teacher. she ADORES that play. So thanks,  Aziraphale.

Bastille= PEAK GAY LOOK

I'd seen the church scene and "you go too fast for for me in MANY a gift,  but hearing them was OOF. Michael Sheen didn't have to go so hard on that line but OH BOY DID HE EVER. I may have cried.

I honestly didn't realize that the intro didn't play until the middle of the episode until I rewatched it??  like that completely flew over my head.

THE BANDSTAND. THE E M O T I O N. AZIRAPHALE WAS SO HURT. he was so torn because so much of him still wanted to believe in the good of heaven, but his heart (or the angelic equivalent) had long ago sided with Crowley. When Crowley came back and asked him to run away to Alpha Centuri??? UGH. that dude instantly assuming they're gay? same. same random dude. same. And omg Crowley praying??? to God??? he cares about humanity and it SHOWS. By this point I was REALLY relating to Aziraphale. His reluctance to stray from what he knows and was told reminds me so much of myself. that A n x i e t y.

the end of episode 4 and into episode 5 HURT. the bookshop? "I lost my best friend"? The fact that Crowley was ready to give up and wallow drunkenly through the Apocalypse because continuing on or running away held no meaning if he didn't have Aziraphale by his side. I cried. On the other hand, defiant Aziraphale? "Angels can't posses people" "Demons can..." YES BBY STOP BLINDLY FOLLOWING ORDERS!!! FREE THOUGHT BABEY!!! Now: Shadwell and Tracy. Shadwell is hilarious and I love him, end of story. He's just so... out there. crazy dude. Madame Tracy on the other hand? AMAZING. her actress (I can't think of her name and I have a REALLY ONE TRACK MIND) absolutely KILLED it. AMAZING. The seance?  That dude who WAS JUST LOVING EVERY SECOND? Loved that so much. still cracks me up. When they first get to the airbase and Crowley compliments his dress and Aziraphales like OwO like fellas they gay.

1970s crowley... the mustache... "Can I hear a Wahoo?" Hastur... love him... "What's a computer" part of me wants to think he's just fucking with Crowley because who wouldn't but also he's so deadpan and yo I can't read expression AT ALL.

Love the fact that Crowley was ready to yeet off to a far off star system light-years away, but at the same times like "you expect me... to go to TADFIELD? In this weather??? Maybe I should drive but I mean, have you SEEN the TRAFFIC Angel? And now the M-25s on fire. Great."

Hastur going from on top of everything and tearing Crowley down to panicking because YOU'RE DRIVING TOWARDS A WALL OF FIRE.

Alrighty Episode 6!!!

The beginning terrified me. All this time I was rooting for Zira and Crowley to finally get their happily ever after and yknow how most media is nowadays. There's a reason Fix-it Fics are so popular. So the beginning of the episode scared me. Also Beelzebub 💖

When Beez and Gabriel showed up? THAT DUMB SMILE OF GABES? I really hated Gabriel. The way he treated Aziraphale REALLY rubbed me the wrong way and I just did not like him one bit.

The heaven scene solidified my then hatred for Gabriel. I like him now but oof that scene he's still VERY punchable.

when they switch back and it's all revealed? G l o r i o u s. They played each other so well!!! honestly props to Michael and David, their acting was PHENOMENAL.

The ending. A happy ending. The amount of love with which Zira says "to the world" killed me. I'm dead now thanks to that. I'm typing this from the grave,  that's how powerful that line is. Honestly, knowing next to nothing going in was kind of wild and my crazy reblogging spree actually got some of my mutuals to watch the show which is pretty neat. Going back through 3 more times now, Aziraphale definitely resonates with me the most. I actually have a small blurb I wrote on the positive effects he's had on my perception of myself in terms of stimming.

All in All this show hit me in a way I did NOT expect it to, and I'm glad I found it when I did. I was at a point where I was kinda feeling like I'd never really have a fulfilling relationship because of my asexuality, and then I found good omens. I def read the characters as ace while watching it and it was amazing seeing two characters who can love each other fully, without the need for anything explicit. The show was an instant fav and I'm trying to find a physical copy of the book (that I can afford) so I can read the original text. This is a story that's going to stay important to me for a very long time, I can feel it.

how brave you are. never once would you say no to a fight, or to do something that may hurt you. when you and sweet pea got arrested one time for trespassing, you were fine, not really caring while sweet pea was freaking out on the inside. when fangs was shot, both of you went crazy trashing the high school. when the northsiders came up, you took out your knife and opened it up, charging towards the tough boys. the tip of your knife against archie’s neck with your face close to his. 

“you stupid northsiders killed my friend, he’s laying in a hospital bed clinging for life because your bulldog reggie shot him!”

“it wasn’t reggie, it was mrs. klump!”

“i don’t care! whether it was reggie, or mrs. klump who pulled the trigger, a northsider put him in there! you took our friend, our land, you’ll take everything if we give you the chance” you back away and pick up the garbage can, dumping out the trash onto the floor. “so now you’ll get to watch as we burn your school to the ground” you let out a loud grunt as you threw the metal can at the trophy case, the bulldogs jumping back.

sweet pea was so attracted to how brave you are. not caring if you were to get hurt. he was so attracted to how strong you were as well.

B = Baby: do they want a family? why/why not?

yes. your friend polly asked if you would watch her twins, and sweet pea was in heaven. babies were always a weakness for him, their giggles, their eyes, even their spit up. and after he fed one of the twins and burped he would smile so big. one of the serpents had a baby, and sweet pea always babysat for her, he became ‘uncle pea’ 

when sweet pea became a dad, the only way your baby would stop crying was to have a bear that smelt like you and sweet pea’s flannel around the bear. sweet pea bought extra flannels just for his little baby, he’d do anything for you and his baby. 

C = Cuddle: how do they cuddle?

he’s a big guy, yes, but tall guys need cuddles too! his favorite cuddling position to do was you as the big spoon, arm over his side with his fingers playing with yours, your other arm above your head and scratching his head. his right hand held your hand and the other hand behind your thigh that was over his hip. 

D = Dates: what are dates with them like?

simple, just like fangs. he didn’t like going to fancy restaurants, he likes going to pop’s. his favorite thing to do was grab food and drinks from pop’s, going to the drive-in movie and cuddling in the back of his truck.

you are my home. home isn’t a place, but if it was, it’d be your arms. 

F = Feelings: when did they know they were falling in love?

sweet pea only felt real love and that was friend love, and fatherly love from fp. every minute he hung out with you he knew he was feeling something for you, he didn’t know what. 

when sweet pea witnessed you singing and dancing as you were making a snack, it hit him, pink rising to his cheeks. “’i love her. goddamn it, i love her so much”

a gentle giant!!!!! i mentioned today about sweet pea being a preschool teacher, and i see him sitting on the rug, eventually falling because the kids climbed on him. 

“mr. pea mr pea! what’s on your neck?” one of the girls poked it making him laugh.

“a tattoo?! those hurt!”

“yeah, a little bit. but i’m okay” he smiled at the little girl and she smiled back.

the very first time you two held hands, it was slow. you two sat on his couch watching tv, you sliding your hand over and linking your fingers with his, his hands gigantic prepared to yours. he didn’t know how to react, he never held hands like this. your fingers curled, and his slowly did the same, and both of you smiled. the way sweet pea likes to hold you was his arms around your body, his chin on top of your head or on your shoulder if you two were sitting down.

I = Impression: first impression/s

you thought sweet pea was very cocky and rude, because the first time you met him was when you and jug headed to southside high. but after joining the serpents and talking to him for a bit, you realized he wasn’t this cocky asshole you thought. he was actually very genuine and let his guard down and opened up. 

his first impression of you was that you were very gorgeous, but very mouthy. you didn’t put up with anyone’s smart remarks about your hair or your outfit, or who your father was. he watched you walk and noticed how confident you swayed your hips, how high your head was held. 

J = Joker: are they into pulling pranks?

YES. ABSOLUTELY. he does it constantly, recording it and sending it to his friends. his favorite prank he pulled was tying and taping you to the bed so you couldn’t move, and he put chocolate syrup on you making you freak out.

K = Kisses: how do they kiss?

with such passion. his fingers holding your jaw, or his hand on your cheek. your fingers around his wrists or arms, on your tippy toes because he’s so tall, or him bending down. after every kiss he’d whisper i love you then kiss your cheeks, forehead, or nose

M = Memory: their favourite moment together

singing and dancing to songs in the living room when one of you is having a bad day. there was an anon the other day who said sweet pea secretly listened to 5SOS and 1D and i firmly believe this statement.

sweet pea sat on the couch with a beer bottle on his knee, slouching. you pouted and went over to the speaker, hooking your phone up to it and playing “She Look So Perfect” by 5 Seconds of Summer, a song that sweet pea listened to secretly. you walk to him, slowly taking the bottle from his hands and putting it on the table, singing to him. 

“simmer down, simmer down..” you laugh as you sing, for he was angry and needed to simmer down. you grab his hands and dance with him, both of you laughing and singing. after that song was over, “18″ by One Direction played and you two slow danced, ending with pea dipping you.

sweet pea will spoil you when he gets the chance. he loves getting you little gifts and loves seeing your face lights up. there was a post of the boyfriend buying his girlfriend an 8 dollar ring and she showed it off like it was the most expensive ring, and you would do that when he bought you a ring for 5 dollars, or a bouquet of flowers that he either bought or picked straight from the ground. he had good intentions of giving you flowers to make you happy, and it did. or also got you a necklace with ‘sweetpea’ on it

O = Orange: what colour reminds them of their other half?

a maroon. he always found the color beautiful because it was so dark. you always wore a maroon lipstick, and your favorite shoes were maroon combats that were dark enough to look like black, and the color always reminded him of you. 

P = Pet names: what pet names do they use?

baby girl, princess, angel, rose (because that was his favorite flower to give to you) (especially maroon roses)

Q = Quaint: what is their favourite non-modern thing?

his vinyls. he like to play the vinyls when outside was pouring rain, slow dancing with you and just falling more in love with you.

he loves to talk about how much he loves the serpents and how he’ll do anything for them and you. sweet pea is such a loyal member and loyal boyfriend, and will take a bullet for you.

1. Sam praying. I don’t really know why this one got me, but the fact that Sam believes in a higher power, or tried to believe with his entire soul, and Dean desperately tries to get his brother to believe in something(unbroken? tries to make sure he’s ok because Dean never will be? Something like that?) feels important? Or maybe it’s that for Dean, Dad’s Orders and Consequence hit as the Ultimate Punishment, whereas Sam got to relax about it a bit

Look am I directly finding parallels to my own experience now? yes of course, it’s my unparalleled media experience and I can project if I want to. I’m WAY more scared of my parents/dad and what they do than I am of any higher power(crying while driving home as Vibe Music that I generally enjoy vs the Season 3 finale scene wheeee), whereas my sister actually tried to give religion a fair shot and used to pray. 2. Smart Sam. I liked Sam being smart, doing shit for the case in interesting ways, and I really like his powers plot line! Like you’re right dude! Heaven has no compelling reasoning other than “because I told you so” and it’s way more practical to just do it! His mom and girlfriend are already dead there’s nothing else to be done now! Like! Sam’s Antichrist arc is actually interesting! And I like him getting to be a character! The mask Idea was SO NEAT!!

Ok first off, having him desperately try to save humanity(reminds me of aziraphale) is so interesting! like It feels like Dean(who's working on not taking orders blindly anymore following that demon deal) doesn’t like seeing Castiel and Heaven because it reminds him of that part of himself he’s worthing through! and that one scene where Cas said “I’m not a hammer”(Directly parallel to “Daddy’s blunt little instrument”) is like. Dean started that journey in Cas. Getting him to question things.

Is there a meaning behind it ? Not really. Wilbur looked up the meaning of his name growing up and saw that it meant “wild boar”, so he hoped it wasn’t intentional.

Does your character have any nicknames ? Vanellope calls him bubs? That’s pretty much it.

When and where were they born ? December 10, 1995. He was born in Carthay, surrounded by all of his family members.

What’s their zodiac sign and what traits do they most relate to ? Being a Sagittarius, Wilbur identifies with meeting new people, having a vibrant personality, and also being a bit reckless.

What’s their nationality ? American.

What’s their occupation ? Full-time student.

What gender do they identify themselves as ? Male.

 PHYSICAL APPEARANCE.

 What’s their eye color ? Light brown.

Do they wear glasses or contacts ? He wears reading glasses (which he’s painfully embarrassed of).

A section on one of his fingers appears lighter than the rest because when he was little he tried climbing up a tree to test his jetpack (a backpack with cardboard wings); when he couldn’t make it, he slid down the trunk, scraping off a chunk of skin on one of his fingers.

What’s their personal style/how do they like to dress ? Wilbur dresses mostly casual, but with a mix of classic and preppy styles thrown in: jeans and a t-shirt, but maybe one day he mixes it up with a funky polo or cardigan.

His favorite thing about himself is most definitely his welcoming nature; Wilbur will talk and befriend anyone he meets and none of it is phony, he genuinely always wants to be making new friends.  How far did they go in school ? Are they still studying ? He’s currently in his senior year at Carthay University! Senioritis is definitely hitting him hard.

Do/Did they like school ? Eh? It depends. If it’s something that immediately engages him, then he’s all in. But, if it’s something kind of boring, he’s going to have to re-teach it to himself because he will most likely not be able to pay attention in class.

What type of student are/were they ? Very studious despite his supposed lack of intelligence.

What is/was their favorite subject ? “Film in the western world” is a class he’s currently enjoying the hell out of because he gets to watch all of his favorites and then analyze them. He was also a big fan of his theatre classes in high school, though he never pursued it.

And their least favorite ? Math. Math. Math. Anything math.

What were they/would they have been voted as “most likely to…” in the yearbook ? “Most likely to jump that fence regardless of the sign” and “Most likely to annoy you and endear you.”

 FAMILY.

 Who are your character’s parents ? Fanny and Cornelius Robinson.

How would your character describe them ? He’d say his mother is both tough as nails and the warmest, most compassionate mother ever. He’d say his father is the most hard-working man he’s ever met. Combined, they’re both his biggest inspirations.

Do they have any siblings ? Nope. Only child.

Are they close with their family ? The closest anyone could ever be with a family as big as his.

 ROMANCE & SEXUALITY.

 What’s their romantic and sexual orientation ? He’s honestly not sure.

Are they seeing anyone right now ? Not at the moment, no.

Have they ever been in an relationship ? If kindergarten relationships count, then yes.                                                    

Have they ever been in love ? No, but he’s always been curious to know how it feels.

How easy do they fall for someone ? Not very easily. Although he’s super loving and  affectionate, Wilbur imagines that love must be something super special, so he doesn’t wanna go falling for the wrong people.

In their view, why didn’t any past relationships work out ? They took his cookie during snack time. Wilbur’s not big on sharing without asking first.

What do they look for in someone ? Kindness, some kind of passion or interest that they love, personality, sense of humor, the whole shebang. Being a looker wouldn’t hurt, either, but it’s not what he cares about, personally. He hates answering this question because having never been in a relationship, he feels as though declaring a list locks him in to looking for someone with those exact traits and that terrifies him. It’ll happen when it happens with whomever it is.

Do they believe in love at first sight ? or fate ? Maybe? He’s seen it in plenty of films, though he’s never experienced it first hand. Long story short, he’d like to believe it’s real.

What’s their views on romance ? Do they go after it or avoid it ? It’s a beautiful thing! Even though it’s not on the forefront of his mind, Wilbur would happily chase love if it’s what he felt.

Did they have their first time already ? How was it in their point of view ? He hasn’t yet.

What is their view on sex ? It sounds like a hell of a time. As a young man, he’s definitely thought about it more than once, but ask him about it in public and he’ll go all red.

What are their turn ons and turn offs ? 

Turn ons: Smiles, laughs, a slight touch, running fingers through hair.

Turn offs: Arrogance, lack of cleanliness.

Were they ever cheated on or have they cheated on someone ? No (thank goodness) and no (he would never).

How tidy is their room ? Tidy-ish. Wilbur hates misplacing his stuff, but he doesn’t exactly put something in its exact spot when he’s done with it.

How long to they usually take getting ready in the morning ? 20 minutes? 30 at most. Hair care is time consuming, but it’s everything.

 What’s their favorite color ? Blue, either sky blue or midnight blue, no in between.

Favorite movie ? All of them.

Music Genre ? Oldies, pop, as well as film soundtracks and Broadway cast recordings.

 PART 2- TV TROPES

   Midnight snack: A common occurrence in American sitcoms and other comedy shows is to have some character get up in the middle of the night in order to have a snack

 This one kind of goes without saying, but Wilbur loves to get a midnight snack. The older he gets, the more it’s something he indulges in, though he recognizes that it’s not the best for him.

The Movie Buff: One of the defining traits of this particular character is their movie lore. This character will compare nearly everything to a scene from a movie.

Wilbur loves anything and everything film-related. He’s a film studies major for crying out loud! Often times if he’s not in his room, he’s in the Robinson family theater marathoning countless movies on end. He’s constantly talking about movies and trying to get everyone to appreciate them the way he does.

The All-Loving Hero: This character, simply put, loves everyone. Loves them with a deep, spiritual love that means they will shake heaven and earth, destroy gods and planets, bring nations to their knees, etc. for the person they just met yesterday. 

Although love is a very strong word, Wilbur goes out of his way to make friends with all he meets, even if they’re not the nicest to him at first. It takes quite a lot for Wilbur to not like someone, and that speaks a lot to his character and loving nature.

I Just Want to be Loved:  A character motivation trope. A very fundamental thing that people want out of life is to feel loved, in fiction as in real life — whether by a specific person, an unspecified but worthy "Mr. Right"... or by as many people as possible.

One of Wilbur’s greatest fear is being left alone in the world with no one to love him. Having grown up in a very large family, Wilbur had to make sure he was seen and heard. He knows his family loves him more than anything, as do his friends, but it’s more of a fear of losing love from those who already feel it and a want to be loved by those who don’t. Perhaps this is where his need to be friends with everyone derives from.

Plucky Comic Relief:  A character whose primary role in the show is to relieve tension with oddball and/or hysterical antics.

Of course Wilbur thinks he’s funny, because of course he does. Everything he spouts he believes to be funny, at least to him, and that’s all that matters. Often times when he was younger if things were rough, a young Wilbur would offer a funny anecdote or take on the situation and everyone would burst out laughing. Since then, he’s seen himself as funny, whether people choose to believe it or not is something else entirely.

Hello yes I literally cannot sleep right now because I’m upset as hell, why am I upset? Because Erik fucking deserved better.

“Ah but he’s a serial killer that lied to and manipulated a young girl” yes, this is technically true, but sit the fuck down, buckle up, and let me rant.

Now, of course all of this varies from movie to play to book but for the sake of my argument we’re gonna go with my unpopular opinion fave i.e. the 2004 adaptation of the movie (which will likely be where a lot of people will have seen it so SHUSH).

Now, the movie boops around in time a lot but for arguments sake we’re gonna follow Erik’s life chronologically.

Let’s start off with we little bb Erik, shall we? Now, a lot of his history is only hinted at, and I’m going to try to keep my own headcanons out of this as much as I can manage, but how about how his own mother couldn’t bear to look at him. 

“A face which earned a mother’s fear and loathing, a Mask, my first unfeeling scrap of clothing”

Would it be wrong to assume that that means that even before momma Destler changes her infant son’s diaper she has to cover his face because she’s too disgusted to look at him. Or how about the fact it’s likely he came from an impoverished family (let’s be real those weren’t the best of times okay it’s a safe assumption he wasn’t a one percenter), and he likely didn’t have any real clothes (ahem, his burlap sack pants in the Gypsy scene?) but his mother hated his face so much she was willing to buy him a mask just to cover it? And how did he wind up with the gypsies in the first place, hmmmmm???

The movie really doesn’t say that so we’re gonna leave you to figure that out, NO HEADCANONS FROM ME TODAY FRIEND (I have so many. About this whole movie. Please come talk to me I’m very lonely.)

Now, onto the gypsy’s themselves. Can we just. Erik was what, seven? Eight? In that scene? Maybe younger? And they were brutally beating him while hundreds (Thousands, it’s not like this is the only show he’s been used as an attraction at) of people laughed at his pain. I mean. Is it hard to see why he has such a fucked up sense of morality when he spent his childhood seeing all those people laugh at his agony. And the MONKEY TOY I WANNA DIE. Okay okay. Anyway. They appear to be using a long tail bull whip which HURT okay? Those are not for people (or anything but this isn’t the post for that). Those will rip you to shreds. Now, I’m not a whip expert so I DON’T WANT ANYONE COMIN’ UP IN HERE LIKE NO ITS ___ WHIP AND ITS ____ BITCH THEY’RE W H I P P I N G A YOUNG C H I L D I DON’T CARE IF IT’S MADE OF COTTON CANDY AND RAINBOWS. Like honestly are we gonna blame him for murdering that piece of shit? For real I would have killed him for the creepy tongue thing alone and Erik suffered years of abuse at his hand, keep in mind, we only saw ONE part of ONE show, WHERE HE WASN’T EVEN STRUGGLING REALLY, we have no idea what they did to that poor boy at other shows, behind the scenes, etc. And again. That monkey toy. I wanna die.

Now, on to his living situation (here’s where we’re gonna boop around a little, we’re gonna ignore Christine’s existence a little longer). He lived, by himself, in the sewers (call them catacombs if you want they’re fucking sad gross places either way I don’t care). He was a kid, locked away from anyone else. So let’s think about this. He learned that he’s so terrible even his mother can’t love him just because of his face, he was beaten to shit and laughed at to make money because he’s so terrible, just because of his face, he watched a shit load of people laugh at his pain without trying to help (until Giry and even she only helped after he did the hard part), and then he’s locked away, alone, in a creepyass, wet, dongeon. I mean. Would you be holding it together? I sure as fuck wouldn’t. And yeah I’m sure Giry visited him and whatever but how often do you really think she went down there? She was studying to be a ballerina at a world famous opera house, she didn’t have free time, and still that’s only one person making face to face contact with him for what? 15 years? A long ass time regardless.

And now we boop to Christine. Again this part isn’t really shown, but with “whenever I’d come down here alone, to light a candle for my father”, are you willing to agree that when young Erik saw her, by herself, having little to no experience of kindness out of other people, really reached out to be malicious? He was probably scared out of his fucking mind, but he saw this little girl grieving as he’d grieved his own life, and he decided to try to comfort her. She was probably the one that came up with the Angel Of Music thing (I say probably because it’s never explicitly said, but come on, there’s no way he would have randomly come up with that, you can also listen to Emmy talk about her “latching on” because she wanted so desperately for it to be a Thing and that they really were good friends etc but I’m just gonna stick to stuff you can get directly from the movie) and he went with it. Now, there are a ton of reasons he could have gone with it (“Learn to see to find the man behind the monster this repulsive carcass who seems a beast but secretly yearns for heaven secretly, secretly dreams of beauty”..........) but none are directly stated so I’ll fuck off and let you decide.

Now, he taught her to sing. Ask any artist ever and they’ll tell you if they’re sharing their work with you they’re sharing a very intimate part of themselves with you. It doesn’t matter the style, art is personal, and he cared enough about this girl to not only show her his art but to teach it to her.* I cannot fathom that love okay and all of this from a creature who was born into a world of hate and darkness and here he is creating beauty and sharing his work I love him okay. And yes, he falls in love with her. I’m not gonna share my thoughts on that love (She was the first person to treat him like a human, to be his friend and never once did she judge him for his looks, just keep that in mind.) but he falls in love with her, more on that in a little bit.

* No One Would Listen isn’t technically in the movie so I’m not saying anything about it, but a lot of my opinions are solidified in it, so if you Haven’t heard it you need to it’s a beautiful song sung to the tune of Learn to be Lonely which Minnie SLAYS jesus shit *aggressively heart eyes* but it directly says that he wanted to share his art and teach the wold but she was the only one who listened

As for torturing Carlotta……………. I mean, me too, I can’t fault him for that……

THEIR MEETING. TIME OUT. THE MIRROR SCENE. THE CHOREOGRAPHY. THE SMOKE. THE CHANGE FROM ANGEL TO PHANTOM. THIS SCENE IS ENTIRELY MY AESTHETIC. Okay I’m good sorry. So. They go down to his home. He takes this girl. Into his HOME. He’s been mistreated his whole life and he willingly leads this girl down into his sanctuary. Think about that for a minute. 

Okay. Anyway, yes the wedding dress is hella creepy but LISTEN. He wasn’t raised with people. He’s stuck in the opera house, he doesn’t see real relationships and even if he does he only sees bits and pieces of them out of the people WHILE THEY’RE THERE he’s never seen or heard about or learned about a real proposal, he’s only seen countless operas, and you know what the fuck happens in romantic plays/operas/movies/musicals/books/stories/literally anything? They move fast, they skip time, they’re over the top. People don’t watch shit that’s real life, no one would want to see that, but that’S ALL HE KNOWS. I’ll let you think of it what you will, but I think he was genuinely trying to woo her as best he knew how.

Mask off scene. Okay. Now. Aside from the fact Gerard grabs the wrong side of his face at one point, (seriously, go rewatch it) Erik does shove Christine, which is not okay buuuuut he’s fucking terrified, and I’m not convinced he meant to shove her, more get her away from him before she saw his face. (we also get some insight on his view of himself and I. Want. To. Die.) but I’ll leave you to take what you will from that scene.

*sigh* killing Joseph is the next thing I want to touch on and this is the one where I want to boop his deformed little nose a little but… I mean… I have a couple points still. 

One: the dude was a creep

two: he went looking for him

three: ERIK WARNED THEM IN NO UNCERTAIN TERMS “A disaster beyond your imagination will occur” (can we talk about the dolls. Erik. Fucking nerd.)

Four: Joseph openly mocked and taunted Erik (you think he didn’t hear that no nose comment *sassy finger snap*)

Five: He grew up only knowing violence. People laughed at his pain. Again his only real knowledge is opera and again people kill in those to get what they want? He’s just a wee potato trying his best.

Now let me bash my son for a moment, he was getting what he wanted, Christine was gonna play the countess, but instead we got All I Ask of You and I died inside (There may be another rant on my utter hatred of Raoul to come but this is already 1.5k words and I’m only like halfway through the movie so MOVING ON)

Alright, so All I Ask of You Reprise is technically the next place where Erik says/does anything but let’s talk about what’s happening right in front of him right now. He’s in love with this woman. He has tried his fucking hardest, he’s made her famous, he’s tried to woo her, he’s been there for YEARS, then this rich boy with a pretty face comes in and she’s falling into his arms in no time? Like yes it’s a bit fuckboi of him but also take into account what she said about him before the actual song. (“His eyes will find us there those eyes that burn” “I can’t escape from him I never will” “his world of unending night to the world where the daylight dissolves into darkness” “Can I ever escape from that face so distorted deformed it was hardly a face”) I mean… I’d be fucking hurt and pissed… So yeah the “you will curse the day you did not do all that the phantom asked of you” is a bit much but… HE’S PISSED and hurt and heartbroken.

Why So Silent and the ring I’m going to leave at he’s fucking hurt but yes I want to boop his nose for that one too… like Erik stop being a creep no one’s chains are yours.

As well as Journey to the Cemetery and Wandering Child like here he’s wrong and I have no argument against him being wrong, my only comment is that he could have killed the taxi driver but he just knocked him out so like… Yay?

Don Juan… Okay come on he knew it was a trap so he had to have just trusted she wouldn’t go through with it but… *Sigh* SON STOP KILLING PEOPLE. AND NO KIDNAPPING TEENAGE GIRLS.

Okay but Down Once More we get to see a lot of the stuff I’ve already mentioned (his mom, how he feels about himself, etc) and he’s furious and scared and hurt and embarrassed and he’s a cornered animal at this point. His home is gone, he knows that, he has to leave and this is his last chance to get the only person who’s ever heard him, who’s ever been a friend to him and shared his love of music, to come with him. Point of No Return Reprise is another thing I want to boop him for, but he does let them go, and he does give up and let her choose what she wants to be happy with one last ditch effort of just being honest (“Christine I love you”) and then he watches them go. The only person he has in the world, leaving him back in his world of darkness.
