I know this is a joke post, though I do have a legitimate theory on this :D !!
What if, when they finished the portal, it would've pushed Bill back into a 2d dimension again?
Think about it. The zodiac is meant to be drawn on the ground as so the people corresponding to the zodiac can stand on their respective syllables and activate it via holding hands. This will make it so the zodiac's scope is two dimensional, with a depiction of Bill drawn dead-center (intro zodiac).
We know that Bill is technically present wherever you draw him/make a depiction of him. Meaning that, in the zodiac drawing, Bill would be able to see through the depiction of him there. However, he isn't really PRESENT so to speak. It's more of a window.
Buuuut given the wind that was blowing harder and harder as the zodiac was starting to grow more and more complete, it implied that the zodiac likely would've become a vacuum of some sort--as a result, maybe, if you think about it, what if it would have sealed Bill away into the floor, on the depiction of himself?
It'd make him two dimensional, but unable to leave that set of dimensions, only stare upwards...just like he was in Euclydia long before he wreaked havoc over the multiverse. Doomed to stare at the stars again, but never touch them.
Where he belongs.

Summary: After his final tour performance, Jungwon expects a simple celebration—until he walks in and finds you waiting for him. With the help of his meddling members, you’ve flown across the world to surprise him on his birthday, turning an ordinary night into one he’ll never forget.
Word Count: 6.4k
Tumblr media
The deafening cheers of thousands of ENGENEs still echoed in Jungwon’s ears as he walked offstage, his heart hammering in his chest. The adrenaline of performing had yet to fully subside, leaving his body buzzing with energy despite the exhaustion creeping into his limbs. Sweat clung to his skin, the fabric of his stage outfit slightly damp from the hours of dancing and singing under the bright, flashing lights.
He ran a hand through his damp hair, exhaling deeply as he stepped into the backstage area, the distant sound of fans still chanting his name beyond the arena walls. The final show of the tour was over. Just like that.
Jungwon felt a strange mix of pride and relief settle in his chest. The months of rehearsals, traveling, and performing in different cities had been exhausting, but it was all worth it for the moments he got to share with the fans. Now, as the weight of the past few weeks settled on him, he realized just how drained he was.
The other members were already backstage, toweling off sweat and chugging water bottles as staff buzzed around them, congratulating them on another successful concert.
“Damn, that was crazy,” Jay muttered, shaking out his arms as he collapsed onto one of the couches. “The energy tonight was insane.”
Sunghoon nodded, still catching his breath. “I swear, they were even louder than last night.”
“Louder than every other stop, honestly,” Sunoo chimed in, giggling as he wiped his face with a towel. “My ears are still ringing.”
Jungwon smiled at their words, a sense of warmth spreading through him. He loved that no matter how exhausting things got, they could all share these moments together.
“You good, Won?” Heeseung’s voice broke through his thoughts, drawing his attention.
Jungwon blinked, realizing he had been standing still for a moment too long. “Yeah,” he nodded, offering a tired smile. “Just taking it all in.”
Ni-ki slung an arm over his shoulders with a grin. “You should. It’s your birthday, Hyung!”
Jungwon chuckled at the nickname. It had started as a joke because of his leader status, but over time, it had stuck. He shook his head playfully. “It’s just another day.”
The members collectively groaned.
“Bro, don’t say that,” Jake protested, nudging him. “It’s your birthday, AND you just finished performing for engenes. We have to celebrate.”
Jungwon laughed, shaking his head again, though he appreciated their enthusiasm. “We’ll see.”
Unknown to him, his members were all exchanging knowing glances. They were doing their best to act casual, but Jungwon was too exhausted to notice the small smirks, the barely concealed excitement in their eyes.
Something was definitely up. But for now, Jungwon was just grateful for a moment to breathe.
Tumblr media
Earlier that day, long before Jungwon stepped off the concert stage drenched in sweat and glowing with the high of performing, you had landed in the city, excitement and nerves warring inside your chest.
You had spent weeks planning this trip, coordinating your schedule around his tour, booking flights, and making sure everything was set up perfectly. The hardest part, though, had been keeping it a secret.
Jungwon wasn’t the type to ask too many questions, but he always had a way of sensing when something was up. That’s what made this surprise so difficult to pull off—because if anyone knew you well enough to figure out when you were hiding something, it was him.
Luckily, you had an accomplice.
“Flight’s on time. You should be landing in the afternoon,” Heeseung had texted you the night before. “I’ll make sure Jungwon’s distracted.”
You had smiled at the message, grateful beyond words. Heeseung had been your lifeline in pulling this off.
And now, after hours of flying and navigating through airport crowds, you were finally here, standing in a quiet hallway backstage, hidden from view as the concert continued just beyond the walls.
Your heart pounded against your ribs, fingers tightening around the handle of your small carry-on bag. Even though you had traveled all this way, the nerves had only grown stronger.
What if he was too tired to enjoy the surprise? What if he was overwhelmed? What if—
“Stop overthinking,” Heeseung’s voice cut through your thoughts, his usual teasing lilt present as he approached you from around the corner.
You let out a breath, forcing a small laugh. “I can’t help it.”
He smirked. “You think Jungwon’s not gonna be the happiest man alive when he sees you? Please.”
The words made your heart warm, but the nerves remained. “I just want it to be perfect.”
Heeseung rolled his eyes playfully, then reached for your bag. “Come on, let’s get you set up before he gets suspicious.”
You let him take it, following him as he led you through the backstage area with practiced ease. The energy in the venue was electric—staff members moving in and out of rooms, the faint sound of Jungwon’s voice echoing from the stage as he spoke to the fans.
The reality of just how close you were to him hit you hard.
A whole month had passed since you last saw Jungwon in person. Video calls and texts only did so much when all you really wanted was to be by his side, to feel the warmth of his presence, to hear his laughter without a screen separating you.
And now, in just a short while, he would be standing in front of you again.
Heeseung must have sensed your growing emotions because he nudged you lightly. “Hey, don’t cry yet. You still gotta make it through the surprise.”
You let out a watery chuckle, wiping at your eyes. “I’m not crying.”
“Not yet,” he corrected, grinning.
You shook your head at him, but you were grateful for his humor—it made everything feel a little easier.
Heeseung led you to one of the smaller backstage rooms, where a few staff members were already setting up the decorations. The other members had given their input earlier, making sure everything was just right.
A string of warm fairy lights hung around the room, casting a cozy glow. A table had been set up with a beautifully decorated cake, simple but elegant, with “Happy Birthday, Leader Won!” written in icing.
A large banner stretched across one wall, displaying the same message in bold, playful letters.
The sight made your heart swell. Jungwon wasn’t the type to demand grand celebrations, but that was exactly why you wanted to make sure he had one. He deserved to be showered with love, to be reminded of how much he meant to everyone around him.
“You guys really went all out,” you murmured, taking it all in.
Heeseung shrugged. “Of course. We have to make sure our leader feels special.”
You smiled, running your fingers lightly over the edge of the table. “He’s going to love this.”
Heeseung clapped his hands together. “Okay, so here’s the plan. Jungwon’s still out there, finishing up the concert. Once he comes backstage, he’ll head to the dressing room to cool down, right?”
You nodded, already knowing his post-concert routine.
Heeseung continued. “While he’s in there, we’ll gather everyone here, and when he walks in, we’ll hit him with the surprise. You’ll be hiding behind the curtain until I give you the signal.”
Your stomach flipped. “Got it.”
He gave you a once-over, then smirked. “You look nervous.”
“I am nervous,” you admitted with a small laugh.
He placed a hand on your shoulder, giving it a reassuring squeeze. “Trust me, the moment he sees you, he won’t care about anything else.”
You swallowed past the lump in your throat, nodding. “I hope so.”
Heeseung grinned. “Oh, and by the way—you owe me for this. Big time.”
You laughed. “I’ll buy you dinner, okay?”
“Dinner and bubble tea.”
“Fine.”
Heeseung looked satisfied with that, then glanced at the clock. “Alright, we have about fifteen minutes before he comes offstage. You ready?”
You took a deep breath, placing a hand over your rapidly beating heart. “Ready as I’ll ever be.”
Tumblr media
Fifteen minutes felt like an eternity.
You stood behind the thick black curtain in the small backstage lounge, nerves bubbling under your skin as the final notes of the encore song faded. The sound of thousands of ENGENEs screaming filled the venue, their voices blending into a beautiful, deafening chorus.
Jungwon was still out there, soaking in the last moments of the tour with his members, saying his final thank-yous to the fans. He was probably bowing now, flashing that tired but grateful smile that you had seen so many times in videos and pictures. Only this time, you weren’t watching from a screen. You were here.
Heeseung had disappeared momentarily to check on the progress, leaving you alone in your hiding spot. Your hands trembled slightly as you smoothed down your outfit, making sure everything was perfect.
The thought of seeing Jungwon after a whole month had your heart racing. Would he cry? Would he be too overwhelmed? You knew how much he tried to hold back his emotions sometimes, especially when it came to himself. He always put others first, always prioritized his members, his fans, his work.
But tonight, tonight was about him.
A soft rustling sound snapped you out of your thoughts, and then Heeseung’s voice came from the other side of the curtain. “Showtime.”
You swallowed hard. “He’s coming?”
“Yup. He’s in the dressing room now, freshening up. We have about five minutes before he walks in.”
You nodded, inhaling deeply to steady yourself. “Okay.”
The room outside was already set. The other members had gathered, all of them doing their best to act casual, but you could hear the suppressed excitement in their voices.
“Don’t act weird, guys,” Jake whispered. “He’ll know something’s up.”
“Dude, just stand normal,” Sunghoon replied.
“What does ‘stand normal’ even mean?” Jay shot back.
A soft whack sound followed. “Ow, Sunoo!”
“Shut up and just smile,” Sunoo hissed.
You pressed a hand over your mouth to stifle a laugh. It was almost funny how much effort they were putting into this. Jungwon would probably be too exhausted to even notice at first, but knowing how sharp he was, you wouldn’t be surprised if he picked up on their energy.
Still, the setup was perfect.
The fairy lights gave the room a warm, inviting glow, casting soft shadows on the walls. The cake sat neatly on the table, an elegant white-frosted design with subtle gold accents. The words Happy Birthday, Captain! were written in neat cursive, surrounded by tiny edible stars. The members had insisted on keeping the decorations simple—nothing too over-the-top, but still meaningful.
And then there was the banner.
A large, hand-painted sign stretched across the back wall, filled with personal messages from the members. Little doodles of Jungwon’s favorite things were scattered across it—his favorite snacks, his beloved cat-shaped drawings, even a small, cartoon version of himself.
It was the kind of effort that showed just how much they loved him.
You smiled to yourself, already imagining the look on his face.
A sudden shuffle of footsteps in the hallway made your breath hitch.
“Oh, oh, he’s coming—”
“Positions, everyone!”
You quickly pressed yourself further into the corner, holding your breath. The curtain concealed you entirely, and from this angle, you had a perfect view of the entrance.
The door handle turned.
For a moment, silence filled the room, thick with anticipation. Then, the door swung open and the room fell into an instant hush.
Jungwon stepped inside, still towel-drying his damp hair, his oversized black t-shirt hanging loosely on his frame. His post-performance glow was evident—cheeks flushed, eyes slightly dazed from the adrenaline still coursing through his veins.
He blinked at the sight before him.
The members stood scattered around the room, trying way too hard to act normal. Jay was casually leaning against a table—except his elbow slipped, nearly knocking over a bottle of water. Sunghoon looked suspiciously stiff, like he had rehearsed his “natural” stance too many times. Ni-ki was covering his mouth, eyes already sparkling with suppressed laughter.
Jungwon frowned slightly. Something is up.
Then, his gaze landed on the fairy lights, the cake, and finally, the massive Happy Birthday, Leader Won! banner staring back at him.
Before he could process it, the members erupted into cheers.
“Surprise!”
Jungwon flinched at the sudden noise, nearly dropping his towel. “What the—” He looked around, squinting. “What’s going on?”
“You really thought we wouldn’t do anything for your birthday?” Jake smirked, stepping forward to throw an arm around Jungwon’s shoulders.
Jungwon scoffed. “I knew you guys were being weird today.”
“Define weird,” Sunghoon said innocently, shifting slightly to block the suitcase near the couch.
Jungwon narrowed his eyes. “You were all too normal.”
“Bro, we’re always normal,” Jay deadpanned.
“I stand by it.”
The members cackled.
Heeseung, who had been standing off to the side with his arms crossed, finally spoke up. “Actually…” He smirked. “We have one more present for you.”
Jungwon groaned dramatically, rubbing his face. “Please tell me it’s not another embarrassing video montage—”
“Oh, it’s better.”
Before Jungwon could question it, Heeseung gave a small nod toward the curtain.
That was your cue.
You stepped out, heart hammering against your ribs as you finally locked eyes with Jungwon.
For a moment, time seemed to stop.
Jungwon’s entire body went rigid. His mouth parted slightly. His hands, which had been resting at his sides, twitched like his brain was struggling to send a signal. His chest rose and fell with an unsteady breath.
The members were watching eagerly, as if they were witnessing a dramatic K-drama finale.
Then, after what felt like an eternity, Jungwon finally found his voice.
“…Wait.”
His voice cracked slightly.
Ni-ki snorted.
Jungwon’s gaze darted from your face to the suitcase near the couch, then back to you. His lips parted again, but all that came out was:
“HUH?”
The room erupted.
Sunoo doubled over, clutching his stomach. Jake fell onto the couch, wheezing. Ni-ki looked like he was about to pass out from laughing.
Jungwon, however, remained frozen.
You bit your lip to keep from laughing as you stepped closer. “Surprise.”
That was all it took.
Jungwon suddenly lunged.
He reached you in seconds, wrapping his arms around you so tightly that your feet nearly left the ground. A startled laugh escaped you as you stumbled backward slightly, your arms instinctively wrapping around his neck.
“You—You’re really here?” His voice was muffled against your shoulder, trembling slightly.
You nodded against him, your heart swelling. “I’m here.”
Jungwon pulled back just enough to look at you, eyes wide and glassy. “You… You really flew all this way? Just for me?”
You smiled. “Of course. I wouldn’t miss your birthday for anything.”
Jungwon exhaled sharply, like he was still trying to process it. Behind him, the members were still enjoying the show.
Jake wiped away fake tears. “This is beautiful.”
“He’s in shock,” Sunghoon whispered.
“No thoughts. Head empty,” Ni-ki added.
Jungwon ignored them, his hands still gripping your arms as if grounding himself.
“You okay?” you asked, pressing a hand to his cheek.
He blinked slowly. “No. I think I’m malfunctioning.”
The members lost it again.
Sunoo wiped a nonexistent tear from his eye. “We’ve lost our leader, everyone.”
Heeseung clapped Jungwon’s back. “A thank you would be nice.”
Jungwon finally tore his gaze away from you to glare at him. “Shut up.”
You giggled, reaching up to press a soft kiss to his cheek. “Happy birthday, love.”
Jungwon let out a small, breathless laugh, finally pulling you into another tight hug. “This is the best birthday ever.”
The members groaned loudly.
“Oh my god, he’s so whipped,” Jay muttered.
“Just now realizing that?” Sunghoon scoffed.
You laughed against Jungwon’s shoulder, feeling his grip tighten just a little more.
And in that moment, you knew—no matter how much they teased him, no matter how chaotic things got—this was exactly where you were meant to be.
Jungwon still hadn’t let go of you.
It had been a full minute since the initial shock wore off, but he kept his arms locked around you, his head resting against your shoulder like he was afraid you’d disappear if he let go.
“Okay, we get it, you missed her,” Jay teased, breaking the silence.
Jungwon finally pulled back—just enough to turn and glare at him. “Shut up, Jay.”
Jay smirked. “You’re not even denying it.”
“Because it’s true,” Heeseung added with a knowing grin.
Jungwon sighed, shaking his head before turning back to you. His hands stayed on your arms, his touch warm and grounding. “How long are you staying?”
You smiled. “A few days.”
His shoulders visibly relaxed. “Good.” Then, quieter, just for you, he murmured, “I don’t want you to leave too soon.”
Your heart melted.
Before you could respond, Ni-ki clapped his hands together. “Alright, lovebirds, we do have a cake waiting.”
Jungwon sighed dramatically but finally—reluctantly—let you go. You laughed at the way he immediately reached for your hand again, intertwining his fingers with yours as he turned to face the rest of the group.
Jake grinned. “Alright, birthday boy, make a wish.”
Sunghoon nudged him. “You don’t need to. Your biggest wish literally just walked in.”
The members groaned at the cheesiness, but Jungwon?
He just smiled.
You swore his grip on your hand tightened slightly.
With a soft chuckle, he stepped forward to the table, staring at the cake. The warm fairy lights made the white frosting glow softly, and the words Happy Birthday, Captain! stood out in elegant cursive.
Jungwon exhaled deeply. “This is really nice, guys.”
Sunoo beamed. “Of course. You deserve it.”
Jungwon gave him a small, grateful smile before closing his eyes for a moment. Then, with a deep breath, he blew out the candles.
The room erupted into cheers.
“Yay, our leader is another year older!” Ni-ki teased.
“Another year shorter,” Sunghoon muttered under his breath.
Jungwon turned to glare at him. “I heard that.”
Sunghoon just smirked. “Oops.”
Jake started cutting the cake while Jay grabbed plates. You watched as Jungwon let himself fully relax, laughing as his members playfully fought over who got the biggest slice.
Sunoo dramatically gasped. “Ni-ki, put that piece back, you gremlin!”
Ni-ki, holding an unfairly large slice, grinned. “Finders keepers.”
Sunghoon looked horrified. “That’s a quarter of the cake, you menace.”
Jungwon just laughed, shaking his head. “It’s fine, just take another slice.”
“You’re too nice,” you teased, nudging him. “If that were me, I would’ve smacked it out of his hands.”
Jungwon turned to you with a grin. “Noted for future cake disputes.”
Heeseung passed you both plates, and as Jungwon took his first bite, a soft sigh of satisfaction left his lips. “Wow.” He looked up at the members. “This is really good.”
“Sunoo picked it,” Jay said, nodding.
Sunoo flipped his hair dramatically. “I do have excellent taste.”
Jungwon chuckled, turning back to you. “You should try it.”
He picked up a small forkful and, without thinking, held it up to your lips.
The entire room fell into scandalized silence.
Jake gasped. “Oh my god.”
Sunghoon looked personally attacked. “In front of my salad?”
Ni-ki fake gagged. “Not at the dinner table, guys.”
Jungwon froze.
His ears turned bright red.
You, however, decided to play along. Maintaining eye contact, you leaned in, taking the bite off his fork.
Jungwon’s jaw visibly clenched. His eyes darted to the members, all of whom were staring.
Heeseung raised an eyebrow. “Wow. You didn’t even hesitate.”
Jungwon cleared his throat. “Can we not make a big deal out of this?”
Ni-ki smirked. “Oh, it’s too late for that.”
Sunoo placed a hand over his heart. “I never thought I’d see the day our little leader would be out here doing—” He waved a hand dramatically. “—something so scandalous in front of us.”
Sunghoon sighed. “They grow up so fast.”
Jungwon groaned, covering his face with one hand. “I hate all of you.”
You giggled, leaning closer. “But you love me, right?”
Jungwon sighed dramatically before dropping his hand and looking at you. A soft smile played on his lips as he nodded.
“Yeah. I do.”
The members groaned in unison.
“Oh my god,” Jay muttered, stuffing cake into his mouth. “I’m gonna be sick.”
Ni-ki fake sniffled. “Our fearless leader has fallen.”
Jungwon just rolled his eyes, but the smile never left his face. He squeezed your hand gently before turning back to his cake.
Tumblr media
The celebration had finally started winding down.
The cake had been demolished (mostly by Ni-ki, who had somehow managed to sneak extra slices despite Sunoo’s watchful gaze). The members were still playfully bickering about who gave Jungwon the best present, and the room was filled with warmth and laughter.
But even with all the noise, Jungwon hadn’t let go of your hand.
Every few minutes, you’d feel his thumb brush over your skin absentmindedly, as if making sure you were still there. If he wasn’t holding your hand, his knee was pressed against yours, his body always leaning just slightly in your direction.
You didn’t mind one bit.
Eventually, the members started cleaning up, throwing away plates and clearing the table. Jungwon had been watching them work for a grand total of two minutes before Heeseung pointed at him.
“Not so fast, birthday boy. You’re helping.”
Jungwon groaned, leaning against you dramatically. “It’s my birthday. Shouldn’t I be exempt from this?”
“Yeah, no,” Jay deadpanned, tossing him an empty cup. “If we suffer, you suffer.”
Jungwon sighed but stood up, squeezing your hand one last time before letting go. “I’ll be back soon,” he murmured.
You smiled. “I’ll be right here.”
As he walked off to help, you watched him fondly. Even exhausted, he still tried to pull his weight, stacking plates and picking up napkins.
It wasn’t long before Heeseung shot you a knowing look from across the room. “You should steal him away for a bit.”
You raised an eyebrow. “You sure?”
He waved a hand. “Yeah, yeah. We got this. Go be disgusting somewhere else.”
You snorted, shaking your head before making your way toward Jungwon. He had just finished setting a stack of plates on the counter when you slipped your arms around his waist from behind, resting your head against his back.
He stiffened for a split second before instantly relaxing, his hands moving to rest over yours.
“Come with me,” you murmured.
Jungwon turned his head slightly, curiosity in his eyes. “Where?”
You just smiled. “You’ll see.”
The members noticed, of course.
“Aww, look at them,” Ni-ki cooed.
Jake sighed dramatically. “I wish someone would whisk me away like that.”
Sunghoon smirked. “We could, but you’d just come back in five minutes crying about how much you miss us.”
Jake gasped. “That happened one time.”
Jungwon rolled his eyes but tugged you toward the hallway before they could tease either of you further.
Tumblr media
The two of you ended up in a quieter part of the backstage area, away from the noise. The air felt different here—quieter, softer, more intimate.
Jungwon sighed as he leaned against the wall, running a hand through his hair. “Finally. A moment of peace.”
You smiled, stepping closer. “Tired?”
He tilted his head in thought before shaking it. “Not anymore.”
His eyes softened as he reached for your hand again. “I still can’t believe you’re here.”
You squeezed his fingers gently. “I wanted to be.”
Jungwon studied you for a long moment, then—slowly—he brought your hand up to his lips, pressing a soft kiss to your knuckles. The gesture was so sweet, so tender, that your breath hitched.
His gaze flickered up, watching your reaction. When he saw your expression, he grinned. “What? I’m not allowed to be romantic?”
You laughed softly. “You are romantic. Just usually in a really awkward, flustered way.”
Jungwon groaned. “You just had to ruin my smooth moment, huh?”
You giggled, reaching up to brush a damp strand of hair from his forehead. “Sorry, sorry. You were very smooth. Super charming.”
He rolled his eyes but smiled anyway, leaning into your touch. “Better.”
The two of you stood there for a moment, soaking in the silence. It felt surreal—to be here with him after so long, with no screen between you, no time zone difference, no calls cutting in and out. Just him.
Jungwon sighed contently. “This is the best birthday ever.”
You tilted your head. “Because of the concert?”
He shook his head immediately. “No.” His grip on your hand tightened slightly. “Because you’re here.”
Your heart swelled.
“You’re really sappy today,” you teased, though your voice was soft.
Jungwon chuckled. “Yeah, yeah. Take it while you can.”
You smiled, reaching up to cup his cheek. “Happy birthday, love.”
Jungwon’s eyes softened as he leaned down, pressing a gentle kiss to your forehead. “Thank you for making it perfect.”
And for the first time that night, no one interrupted.
Tumblr media
After a long night of performing, celebrating, and being relentlessly teased by his members, Jungwon was finally free.
The two of you had slipped out of the venue while the others were still cleaning up, leaving behind the chaos and noise for the quiet comfort of the van. The moment you slid into the backseat, Jungwon immediately followed, settling in beside you.
The city lights flickered outside as the car pulled onto the road, the soft hum of the engine filling the space. The energy from the concert still lingered in the air, but exhaustion was creeping in, making everything feel a little hazy.
Jungwon let out a deep sigh, leaning back against the seat. “I can finally breathe.”
You giggled. “Are you saying your own birthday party was suffocating?”
He turned his head toward you, eyes heavy with fatigue but filled with warmth. “Not the party. Just them.”
From the front seat, Heeseung—who had offered to ride with you two—cleared his throat. “I can hear you, by the way.”
Jungwon groaned, closing his eyes. “I know. That’s why I said it.”
Heeseung let out an exaggerated sigh. “This is how you treat your beloved hyung? After I singlehandedly orchestrated your entire surprise?”
You grinned. “To be fair, he does have a point, Won.”
Jungwon opened one eye, narrowing it at you. “You’re supposed to be on my side.”
You shrugged. “He’s my partner-in-crime. I have to give him some credit.”
Heeseung smirked. “Exactly. Someone appreciates my hard work.”
Jungwon let out a dramatic sigh before turning back to you. “Fine. Thank you, Heeseung-hyung. You’re the best hyung in the world. I’m eternally grateful.”
His tone was so robotic that Heeseung actually gagged. “Okay, never mind. I take back everything. You’re ungrateful.”
You burst into laughter as Jungwon smirked in victory.
A few minutes passed in comfortable silence, the van rocking gently as it cruised through the city. You glanced at Jungwon, noticing how his body had started to relax completely, his head resting against the seat. His eyes blinked slower, his grip on your hand loosening just slightly.
“You’re exhausted,” you murmured.
Jungwon hummed sleepily. “Mhm.”
You ran your fingers gently through his damp hair, feeling him melt into your touch. “You should sleep.”
“Not yet,” he mumbled, blinking up at you with a lazy smile. “Wanna spend every second with you tonight.”
Your heart clenched at the softness in his voice.
“Jungwon,” you whispered, brushing a thumb over his cheek.
He hummed again, eyes half-lidded.
“You’ll still have me tomorrow,” you promised. “And the day after that.”
His lips curled into a small smile. “Good.”
Heeseung, who had been minding his business, suddenly spoke. “I am still here, by the way.”
Jungwon groaned. “Hyung, please.”
Heeseung snorted. “Nah, it’s fine. I love being a third wheel. Really. It’s my favorite thing.”
You giggled as Jungwon shot him a glare, but the moment was short-lived—because not even Heeseung’s teasing could stop Jungwon’s body from shutting down.
Within minutes, his head slowly tilted to the side, resting against your shoulder.
You glanced down, only to find him fully asleep, his breathing deep and steady.
Your heart softened.
Carefully, you adjusted yourself so he could be more comfortable, wrapping an arm around him. He instinctively nuzzled closer, his fingers loosely curling around the fabric of your sleeve.
Heeseung peeked at the rearview mirror and smirked. “Wow. Out cold.”
You smiled, running your fingers through Jungwon’s hair again. “He worked hard today.”
Heeseung nodded. “Yeah… but also, he’s just really whipped.”
You laughed, shaking your head. “I know.”
The car continued rolling through the city, the lights casting soft glows across Jungwon’s peaceful face.
And in that moment, you realized something.
For all the teasing, for all the chaos, for all the exhaustion—this was perfect.
Jungwon had his fans. His members. His music.
And now, he had you, too.
And that was all that mattered.
Tumblr media
By the time the van pulled up to the hotel entrance, Jungwon was completely out.
His head was still resting on your shoulder, his breath warm against your collarbone, his body pressed comfortably against yours. Every few minutes, his fingers would twitch slightly—like he was still subconsciously holding onto you even in sleep.
You smiled softly, brushing a hand through his hair. “Won, we’re here.”
Nothing.
Heeseung leaned over from the front seat, peering at Jungwon’s sleeping form. He raised an eyebrow. “Is he even breathing?”
You rolled your eyes. “Yes, Heeseung. He’s just exhausted.”
“Hmm.” Heeseung poked Jungwon’s arm. “Hey, birthday boy. Wake up.”
Jungwon didn’t even stir.
You giggled. “Heeseung, I don’t think that’s gonna work.”
“Watch and learn.” Heeseung cleared his throat and said, in a serious voice, “Jungwon-ah, staff said we need to redo the encore performance. Get up.”
Jungwon immediately twitched.
You and Heeseung watched in real-time as his eyes fluttered open, his body tensing slightly—until he finally registered his surroundings.
Then, he groaned and buried his face back into your shoulder. “Hyung, I hate you.”
Heeseung burst out laughing. “Hey, at least now you’re awake.”
Jungwon muttered something under his breath that was definitely not PG-rated, but it only made Heeseung laugh harder.
You giggled, rubbing Jungwon’s back soothingly. “Come on, love. Let’s get you inside.”
With a dramatic sigh, Jungwon finally sat up, rubbing at his eyes sleepily. His hair was slightly messy from sleeping on you, and his voice was adorably raspy when he mumbled, “Carry me.”
You raised an eyebrow. “Excuse me?”
Heeseung snorted. “Yeah, no. You’re on your own, dude.”
Jungwon pouted but ultimately sighed in defeat, dragging himself out of the van. The moment you both stepped into the hotel lobby, the warm air hit your skin, the dim lighting making everything feel cozier.
The staff greeted Jungwon quietly, congratulating him on his performance before directing you both to his room. Heeseung, finally finished with his babysitting duties, stretched his arms. “Alright, lovebirds, I’m out. Try not to be too disgusting.”
Jungwon yawned, waving him off. “Goodnight, hyung.”
You grinned. “Thanks for everything, Heeseung.”
Heeseung winked before disappearing down the hall, leaving you and Jungwon standing outside his hotel room.
Jungwon sighed, fumbling with the key card. “I feel like I’m gonna pass out the second I hit the bed.”
You smirked. “Isn’t that what you wanted?”
“Yeah, but I also don’t want to waste time with you,” he murmured, finally pushing the door open.
Your heart softened at his words.
The hotel room was spacious, modern, and filled with warm lighting. A massive king-sized bed took up most of the space, the blankets neatly arranged. Jungwon immediately kicked off his shoes, stretching his arms with a groan before flopping onto the bed face-first.
You laughed. “That tired, huh?”
His voice was muffled against the pillow. “I can’t move.”
You shook your head fondly, setting your bag down before sitting beside him on the mattress. “Want me to get you some water?”
He turned his head slightly, cracking one eye open. “Just lay with me.”
Your lips curled into a soft smile. “Bossy.”
Still, you didn’t argue. You kicked off your shoes, shifting onto the bed beside him. The moment you did, Jungwon instinctively rolled over, wrapping his arms around your waist and pulling you close.
His warmth, his scent, the steady rise and fall of his chest—it was all so him.
Your fingers gently played with the strands of his hair. “You did amazing today.”
Jungwon hummed sleepily. “Mmm.”
“I mean it,” you whispered. “I watched the whole performance. You were incredible.”
His grip on you tightened slightly, his voice quieter now. “It’s always easier when I know you’re watching.”
Your heart clenched at his words.
You pressed a soft kiss to his forehead, watching as his lips curled into a tiny, sleepy smile.
“Happy birthday, love,” you murmured.
Jungwon let out a deep breath, his body completely relaxing against yours.
And just like that, he fell asleep in your arms.
Tumblr media
Jungwon slept soundly for a while, his body finally surrendering to exhaustion. His arms remained wrapped around you, his breathing slow and steady, his face completely at peace.
You didn’t mind one bit.
You stayed there with him, running your fingers through his hair, tracing soft patterns on his back. He looked so soft like this—so young, so free from the pressures of being a leader, a performer, an idol. Right now, he was just Jungwon. Your Jungwon.
Eventually, he stirred, letting out a soft hum as his eyes fluttered open. He blinked up at you, dazed and sleepy, before a slow, lazy smile spread across his lips.
“Hey,” he mumbled, voice raspy.
You smiled back. “Hey, birthday boy.”
He groaned, burying his face into your neck. “I’m still not used to hearing that.”
You giggled, rubbing his back. “Well, get used to it. I’m not done celebrating you yet.”
Jungwon lifted his head slightly, curiosity flickering in his half-lidded eyes. “What do you mean?”
You reached over to your bag, grabbing the small, neatly wrapped box you had been waiting to give him.
His brows furrowed. “What’s this?”
You handed it to him, watching as he carefully unwrapped it, his fingers gentle as ever. When he finally opened the box, his breath hitched.
Inside was a simple silver bracelet, sleek and minimalistic—just his style. But what made it special was the small engraving on the inside.
My home, my heart—always yours.
Jungwon stared at it for a long moment, his fingers tracing over the words. His lips parted slightly, his throat bobbing as he swallowed.
You bit your lip. “Do you like it?”
Silence.
Then, Jungwon inhaled sharply, closing the box with a snap before you could see his face.
“Jungwon?”
Still no response.
Then, to your absolute horror, he turned away from you, shoulders hunched, hands covering his face.
Oh god.
He was crying.
Your heart stopped. “Wait—love, are you okay?”
A muffled, strangled sound came from behind his hands.
Oh no. Oh no, you broke him.
You sat up quickly, placing a hand on his back. “Jungwon, I—”
“Give me a second,” he croaked.
You blinked. “What?”
“I just—” He sucked in a breath, shoulders shaking slightly. “I need a second.”
You pursed your lips, biting back a smile. “Are you crying right now?”
“No.” His voice cracked.
You giggled, rubbing circles on his back. “You are crying.”
Jungwon finally turned to you, eyes red and glassy, cheeks flushed. “I am not crying.”
A single tear rolled down his cheek.
You stared.
He stared back.
“…Shut up,” he muttered.
You burst out laughing, and that was officially the last straw for Jungwon. With a groan, he flopped back onto the bed, throwing a pillow over his face.
“Oh my god,” he groaned. “I hate you.”
You were still giggling as you pried the pillow away. “You love me.”
Jungwon sighed dramatically, but his lips curled into a soft smile. “Unfortunately, yeah.”
Your heart swelled as you leaned down, brushing your lips against his forehead. “Then keep it on forever, okay?”
Jungwon sat up slightly, slipping the bracelet onto his wrist. He stared at it for a long moment before turning to you, his expression completely soft.
“I will.”
And somehow, you knew he meant it.
Tumblr media
Jungwon was still staring at the bracelet on his wrist, turning it slightly under the warm hotel room lights. His fingers traced the engraving again, as if memorizing the feel of it.
You watched him with a soft smile, resting your chin on your palm. “You’re still thinking about it, huh?”
He blinked up at you, lips slightly parted before he nodded. “Yeah.”
Your fingers reached out to gently take his hand, brushing your thumb over the bracelet. “You really like it?”
Jungwon huffed a quiet laugh, shaking his head in disbelief. “I love it.” Then, quieter, he murmured, “I love you.”
Your heart skipped a beat.
You knew he loved you—he had shown it in so many ways, in his small gestures, his thoughtful words, the way he looked at you like you were his whole world. But hearing him say it so plainly, so softly, with the weight of today still lingering in the air, made warmth bloom in your chest.
You leaned in, pressing a feather-light kiss to his lips. It was slow, unhurried—like the both of you had all the time in the world. Jungwon sighed into the kiss, his fingers curling around your wrist, grounding himself in you.
When you finally pulled away, he was gazing at you with sleep-heavy eyes, his expression completely open and vulnerable.
You nudged his nose playfully. “Sleep, birthday boy.”
Jungwon groaned but obediently flopped back onto the bed, pulling you down with him. His arms wrapped around your waist, his body molding perfectly against yours.
You laughed softly. “Comfortable?”
He let out a content sigh, nuzzling into your neck. “Mhm.”
The steady sound of his breathing filled the room, and you felt his body fully relax against yours. His fingers were still loosely intertwined with yours, his grip soft but steady—like even in sleep, he didn’t want to let go.
You pressed a gentle kiss to the top of his head, whispering, “Sweet dreams, birthday boy.”
And just like that, Jungwon drifted off, the softest smile still lingering on his lips.

36 REBLOGS ON FLIGHT OF FANCYYYYYYY
AYYAYAYAYAYAYAYAYA
—🦈
Yayayayayayayay! Enjoy!
Flight of Fancy
Part 3 of Damian x Winged!Reader
Masterlist is Here!
Tumblr media
You spend a while in the air, examining bats while trying not to disturb them. The first couple clusters you approach all scatter with panicked squeaking and fly out of the cave's multiple exits. Damian watches you readjust your strategy, trying different speeds and distances, until you figure out that you can watch them peacefully if you don't beat your wings so hard and don't get closer than about six feet away.
You're so polite as you watch them, holding Damian's words in mind. You keep your hands laced together behind your back, content to simply observe, and Damian does the same of you but on a more professional scale.
Armed with a pad and pen, he takes down all the information he's collected of you so far:
Bleeds gold
Physiologically a teen/young adult
Wingspan approx. 2x their height
White wings, full range of motion
Capable of long-distance flight
Limited world knowledge (didn't know the word for bat)
Learns languages via salivic exchange
Kidnapped from home (unknown location)
Real name unknown
Date of birth unknown
Species - winged metahuman
Dubbed "Project Angel" by Le—
Damian is about to finish writing, but the notepad gets snatched out of his hand by his older brother Jason.
"Whuh'ssits?" He mumbles around a mouthful of burrito, holding his snack in one hand and the pad in the other, high above Damian's head.
"Red Hood!" The boy snaps, irritated and embarrassed. He jumps for the pad but it's too far, and elects to start climbing his brother like a jungle gym. "Give me that! I'm making important observations about my ward!"
"Ward?" He smirks, after swallowing. "What ward? Looks like you're cooking up another OC to draw."
Damian's cheeks flush a brilliant red. The domino mask barely conceals his embarrassed, wide gaze. Even if he was doing that, which he wasn't, it never hurts to plan out his concepts before following through!!
"Look up, genius! And go put on something to cover your stupid face!"
"Am I a genius or stupid?" Jason asks, shaking him off. "Are you gettin' shy on me? You love showin' off your art when it's done, what's the problem —"
The pad gets ripped from his hands and Jason goes flying when a powerful gust of wind knocks him backwards. You land protectively in front of Damian, with your wings fully extended to make yourself look bigger, and bare your teeth. Distantly, he notes that you have pointed canines.
"Are you injured?" You ask Damian.
"No," he says, lifting a hand as if to place it on your back. He hesitates, unwilling to hurt or disturb your wings, and drops it again. "Stand down. That man is my brother, not a threat."
"Brother..." you mutter, frowning.
"Kin," Damian tries, which you seem to understand. "Hood, are you injured?"
"Am I in— I just got blown across the fucking room!" Jason snaps. When he sits up, he's got the red, half-mask on that covers him from nose to jaw, and he's aiming a gun at you. The severity of his appearance is significantly dulled by the burrito innards splattered all over the front of his hoodie.
"Who are you."
"This is your kin?" You ask, dubious. "He is aiming a weapon at us, from which you could be harmed. That's normal?"
Damian's mouth forms a thin line. There isn't time to cover the family's overcomplicated dynamics right this second, so he just kind of shrugs and nods.
"Mostly, yes," he admits. "Let me by."
You fold one of your wings against your back so Damian can step past you, then re-extend it and continue glaring at Jason. Jason glares right back, finger hovering over the trigger.
"Put the gun down. I rescued them on my patrol tonight." Damian steps right in front of the pistol. Jason eases his finger off immediately, but doesn't lower it. "Batman has tasked me with keeping them safe until they can be relocated in the morning. They're not a threat."
"Tell that to my busted back," Jason grunts, but he does eventually concede to putting his weapon down, and climbs to his feet. "Jesus, my favorite fucking hoodie is wrecked. If I can't get these stains out, you owe me a new one, Winx Club!"
"That's not my name," you scowl, feathers ruffling. The rippling effect it has is mesmerizing.
"Do I look like I give a shit? I'm heading upstairs, this blows." Jason stuffs the gun in the pocket of his hoodie lackadaisically, then points a finger at Damian as he takes his leave. "It's bad enough you've got a whole petting zoo of animals. Don't start collecting humanoid strays, too."
"Go to bed, Red Hood," Damian grumbles, turning to you. Your eyes trail after Jason, maintaining your threatening stance until he's completely out of sight. You straighten up and relax your wings, slowly folding them up again.
"I dislike him," you say, crossing your arms.
"He's a... difficult personality," Damian says, fully aware of the hypocrisy of that statement. He barrels forward, curious. "You stood up for me, even when he was seconds from shooting you. Why?"
You tilt your head like he's asked a particularly stupid question.
"You saved me," you state simply. "I am indebted to you."
"It's my job to save others. I protect this city with my family."
"I am not from your city, and you helped me all the same."
"You're in it, however temporarily, which makes your well-being my priority."
You hum, head gently tilting one direction in contemplation. Damian absently compares it to a bunny, or a curious puppy dog.
"Even so," you conclude, "I will repay your kindness. If it's in my power to do it, you will have it, Robin."
"I don't need anything from you," Damian says, not unkindly. "There's no debt I'm owed. I wanted you safe, and that's the long and short of it."
You don't argue it further, but there's still a small frown on your face. Again, Damian's eyes are drawn to your lips. He feels his heart rate get a little faster.
"Would it sate you if I asked for knowledge in return?" He offered. "You can still say no; I'm not going to make you tell me anything you don't want."
You perk up a bit, nodding. You both snap your heads when Jason shows back up, shouting.
"HEY, DID YOUR NOTEPAD SAY "LEARNS LANGUAGES VIA SALIVIC EXCHANGE" BY THE WAY? HOW DID YOU FIND THAT OUT?"
Damian turns back to you with burning cheeks. He notices that you blush gold, too.

imagine plus size!reader going to the bar for a date— just to get to stood up.. but that’s okay, 141 is there for their night out, and could never say no to a pretty bird like you.
(i hope u like this nonsense :3)
you’ve never had much luck with dating, which you think for the most part you’re okay with, sometimes it just doesn’t work out when you think it will— but it does sting when all of your friends are snatched up and engaged or dating.
it leaves you asking if there’s something wrong with you— which you know is not true, but when you are so crushingly rejected every single time, you get sick of it.
and tonight, god you hope it’s different. you had been chatting up some pretty guy, and he was nice— attentive even, and you aren’t ugly by any means.your curves are to die for, the way your tummy is seen in dresses, and how your thighs and ass look in some good jeans— maybe you have a few more fat rolls than the average person, and your body held a plump look. but you looked damn fine with it too..
the cellulite— the hair, the skin. practically flawless, and as you slipped on your black dress with pearl accessories, and a beautiful vintage black bag. you were ready to go—
you slip your heels on, grab your keys and you’re out the door. locking your apartment door behind you (god forbid you forget again like that one time. you’ll always miss your good mixer that the thief stole.)
the walk there is quite nice, your date having asked you to meet up at a jazz club nearby, which was only a 10 minute walk.
you walk towards the front door of the place, bright LED letters adorned the top of the building. THE JAZZ ROOM.’ it’s a nice, quaint place.
as you step inside the sound of the sax and sweet singing voice draws you in, you smile at the song being sung— and make way towards the bar, waiting patiently for your date.
what you don’t see however, is how 4 men sat back in their seats to get a better look at you as you walked in. johnny is the first to say something— “Fucking gorgeous ain’t she.” — the others hum in agreement.
you twiddle your thumbs, sipping on a fruity cocktail because— of course you can’t shoot whiskey, it’s been 25 minutes since you got here— you even showed up 5 minutes late.
you laugh, but not one filled with joy, one filled with disbelief. “i think im just gonna delete tinder. it doesn’t work— stupid apps never do.” youre mumbling as youre finishing off your drink, and fanning down the bartender.
johnny claps his hands, and goes to stand. “i think pretty bonnie over ‘er got stood up. blokes missing out— it’s alright though, i’ll go and swoop her up.” he shuffles out of the booth, the others make no move to disagree but simon chimes in by saying, “you better tell ‘er how fucking gorgeous she looks tonigh’. “
johnny then makes his way towards the empty seat beside you. the 3 men sit and watch— they trust johnny to woo you over, he’s just too good with words.
you ask the bartender for another cocktail, and as you go to take a sip you hear a gruff scottish voice from beside you. “what’s a pretty bonnie like you doing here alone?” you turn, and wow.
the man has a mohawk, and the most stunning blue eyes you have ever seen. he’s got a smile that has a warmth churning up inside— why is he staring at you like your the only girl in the world? and why does it feel so good??
“oh— uhm,, haha..” you trail off, “it’s a funny story, really.” you fiddle with the fruit on a toothpick in your drink, “i’m supposed to be on a date, but uhm.. he didn’t end up showing.” you grimace a bit, taking a large sip.
“well, he’s a bloody idiot.” the man says, he leans closer, resting his head on his hand. “my names johnny, you wouldn’t mind if i took his spot as your date, would’ya?”
a handsome, muscular man with a hot accent asking to be YOUR date? yeah, you’re not saying no to that! you smile, laughing so quiet johnny almost didn’t catch it under the music.
“no, i wouldn’t.. i’d prefer if you did.” you scoot your barstool closer, and tell him your name, your hand resting on the table dangerously close to his.
“you look stunning tonight, love.” he breathes out, he intertwines his fingers with yours, “fucking breathtaking— had my eyes glued to you since you walked in ‘ere.”
you look at him quickly, he’d watched you since you walked in? “you like what you saw that much?” you questioned with a frown, and his smile only grew. “fuck yes, and not just me—“ he leans you can see the rest of the group.
their eyes are hungry; with something else mixed in, and you can’t quite tell if its passion or lust. “—my whole team thinks you’re the prettiest girl in this whole place.”
your body goes slack just slightly, before letting a smile creep onto your face, resting your hand on johnny’s knee you leaned close to his ear.. “well, it’s rude to keep people waiting.. isn’t it?” you whispered.
“you’re right as rain, bonnie. why don’t we join them?” johnny mumbles back, already standing and tugging you near their table, his hand wrapped around your waist…

In his time with the League, Damian learned to live with a lot but love very little.
He was surrounded by opulence--that was a power play, a demonstration, more than anything. It was Ra's' way of showing that he had power.
The problem, of course, was how easily power can breed envy and just how much can be taken away by someone with nothing to lose.
From a very young age, his mother taught him to think--to look inside and establish what he cared for--what he would fight for and what he was willing to give up.
Growing up in the League meant that he could love very little and know it was all safe. In case of emergency, whether that be a coup, assassination attempt, what have you, he could take very little with him.
Growing up, Damian loved his mother, her stories, and his sketchbook.
He never strayed too far from either so that, should worst come to worst, he wouldn't have to leave either behind.
Richard had done all he could to unteach that lesson along with many others he learned with the League.
That, of course, had made it all that much harder to leave.
He had to close himself off, teach himself, again, to think--what did he really care about?
What was he willing to leave behind?
He got distracted with thoughts of when did Richard become someone I could leave? and ended up leaving with less than he should have.
The first few days at Tim's were spent in space. Tim didn't neglect him--the two of them ate together, lived together, but Tim still had his classes and Damian's admission to a local school hadn't gone through yet, so, while he spent nights patrolling with Tim, he spent his days alone.
Either he slept or he drew. Sleep, though the easier option to chose, did not come as easy as it used to. Drawing was an outlet to him, a way to filter his emotions into something tangible--prove to himself that they were real--but he didn't want to see the emotions he was feeling. He wasn't sure if he wanted to hide them or hide from them, but his thoughts were not welcome guests in his head, which, of course, made sleeping all the more difficult.
He'd close his eyes, take a deep breath, and drift.
He'd drift and he'd think about how, in moving in with Tim, he learned the difference between living near someone and living with someone.
He learned the difference between patrolling next to someone and patrolling with someone.
It helped him see himself more clearly, but it also helped him see Tim.
He'd always known Tim was a unique fighter. When they were still enemies, it was his unpredictability that made him hard to defeat. Damian could see, now, how that unpredictability was the result of estrangement. Tim was not close enough to Bruce to be trained by him.
He had patrolled once, against orders, and then been sent to be trained by a foreign hand.
Damian could see a part of himself in the way Tim fought. Their styles were dissimilar, but muscle memory was hard to unlearn and it was clear to any educated watcher that the two of them did not fight like Bats.
Still, as Damian patrolled more and more with Tim, they learned to fight together. They did not use the same styles, but then, having different styles meant that they had different strengths and weaknesses, all the better for covering each other's blind spots.
Damian grew to understand Tim in a way he hadn't fully let himself before. As he understood, he began to relax--let himself expand into his room, finish unpacking.
Now, Richard and Tim both had different rules, but one thing the two of them agreed upon was that no one was to enter Damian's room without his permission.
It seemed silly to him--the idea that the space he took up was his even when he had no formal claim to it. What was more, however, was the fact that, once he had finished decorating, he had to sacrifice a bit of his pride.
He wanted Tim to see his new room--truly, he did--and if Tim entered and exited when he pleased, he could just...come in and Damian could mention that the room was fully decorated and see how Tim reacted.
Instead, he had to invite Tim--invite his judgment. It left him more vulnerable than he would have preferred, but he trusted Tim, so, before patrol, one night, he asked, "Timothy? Can I show you something?"
"Of course, Dami. What is it?"
"My room. I finished decorating."
Tim smiled, "Lead the way."
He did, showing Tim the little things he'd added to make his room his--a declaration of his intent to stay, as much for Tim as it was for himself.
Tim followed Damian around the room, adding small complements here and there before stopping. "You kept this?"
He was holding the photo.
"Of course," Damian said, "It was a good day."
Tim smiled at the photo before putting it down.
Damian furrowed his brow, "I...forget--why weren't you in the photograph?"
Tim gave him a curious look, "Because I was the one taking the photo."
Bruce comes back from the dead and wants to make things better. Bruce comes back from the dead and Tim was the one who brought him back, so it's obviously Tim who'll know best how to help him reconnect with everyone.
It's Tim who should give him advice on how to bond with Dick. Dick has always been his idol, after all. Tim would know best how to bring him back, and he does. He gives good advice and the two of them begin to get closer.
So Bruce asks about Jason, too. Asks about how to bring his son back into the fold and Tim wished for a brief and brutal moment that it weren't so obvious who the favorite was.
Tim told Bruce to give Jason his space, to loosen his rules, and make it clear that no matter what the Red Hood did, no matter what the Batman believed in, Jason was always welcome. Bruce would always want him.
It worked. Bruce wasn't surprised. Tim was a special sort of bitter.
Bruce asked again for Damian and Tim had to push down his anger. "That boy tried to kill me," Tim wanted to say. "I hate him and I want you to hate him too so that I can remember a time when we had something in common," Tim didn't say, but he got close.
He instead told Bruce how Damian liked art and animals and loved hearing stories of the wonders of Batman.
He told Bruce just how much Damian loved being Robin. Told Bruce to tell Damian what a good Robin he was.
God bless or maybe damn him, but he did and it worked and Tim wanted to start screaming and clawing at something because that would have never worked if Tim tried it and it wouldn't have stopped Damian from cutting his line--something Bruce did not and would never know about.
Bruce asked about Babs. How should he make sure she knew that she was a part of the family? They they loved her and not just for the work she did?
He asked about Steph. How should he make sure she knew that she was more important than his rules and that, if something else should go wrong, she didn't need to run away?
He asked about Duke. He never got the chance to get to know him before leaving--not as well as he wanted to, at least. How should he let him know that he was just as much a son as everyone else? That, whether or not his parents woke up, he'd always be welcome?
He asked about Cass. How should he show her that he loves her even though he has nothing to teach her? How can he convey how much he cares about her, his first daughter?
Bruce gets brought back from time and he makes things better. He brings his family back together by following Tim's advice.
And Tim?
Tim brings his dad back from the dead and Bruce changes, becomes a better father.
Bruce changes, but not everything can.
That, Tim thinks, is why Bruce never calls Tim his son.

                     jin bubaigawara.
sweat breaks onto his forehead, but his pace slowly and surely comes to a rhythmic pace.
hard, accurate, but all so slow and gentle at the same time. the sounds that Jin's cock manages to draw out of you makes him want to speed up, but quite frankly you two had been at it since early this afternoon.
after spending time away from each other proved that not only does distance make the heart grow fond, it was everything in his right to prove that.
you mewl feeling his hand shift to grope your right tit as your languidly laid on your side, eyes fluttering and hips trying to fuck yourself on him. his moans and grunts are ever so present in your ear as its aggression softly lulls you to sleep, the type of lewdity that you missed from the days you two were separated for. he chuckles, breathlessly, as he looks at you trying so desperately to cling onto consciousness when everything in you was battling to do the opposite.
a soft 'shoo' slips it's way between your teeth and barely escapes your plump and bruised lips (from his kithes). once his hand that was once fondling your breast instead move to press it's large palm onto your lower abdomen, successfully making you painfully aware at how deep he reaches.
in a shameless bit to finish yourself as you were right there, your hand dj's your clit and does the job for you. it takes only but a few more thrusts for you to freeze and tighten up around his cock, a pathetic moan sounding from you as you finish. he wraps his arms around your waist and knocks his hips more ardently this time, wanting to finish, too. just the thought of you using him to get off was the kick-start to his own climax he was chasing.
soon enough in your now sleep state, the welcoming feel of his load paints your skin. he's biting, kissing, and muttering all sorts of praises of, 'i love you's' into your skin as you safely dose off into his arms.
you two would just do it again tomorrow if need be.
Tumblr media
                     shouta aizawa.
with your thighs pressed so firmly to your chest, and hands firmly pressed to the back of your knees only from the strength of your lover's hands.
it was cozy the way he was sloppily fucking himself into you. there was a squelch from each impact that would've embarrassed you if you were new to this. your gummy walls were almost too tight for his comfort, but Aizawa was never one to complain much. a grunt is all he combats the frustrated energy with as he attempts to speed up pace.
his eyes are glued to where you two meet; eyes so entranced at how pretty your pussy looks when it expertly takes his cock that he has to remind himself to look up every once in awhile to check on you to see if you were okay. dont get him wrong, he didn't think you were fugly or anything, his mand simply wanders in lust if he can't help it.
as his eyes trace it's way to your face as it gets on its journey to search your eyes, he can't help but notice your pretty lashes seem to stare back at him instead. he gives your hands a reassuring squeeze to check on if you're still with him, delighted to hear a distinctive—very slumber like—hum in acknowledgement. he's quick to swoop down and plaster a kiss onto your parted lips, tongue finding its way to pry at yours.
the intrusion has your eyes fluttering open again and focus starting to align itself with him. it's as if you regaining attention brings you to a full stop, mouth falling open and hips bucking him as you squeeze your eyes shut.
"cumming, cumming...!" you whimper. the short notice dully noted as you take your hands from underneath his and pull him into your body instead. he abandons the pose from earlier to let you wrap your legs around his waist, locking him in with nowhere else to go.
tirelessly he emptied his spunk into your cunt, and shamelessly does he snuggle himself into you as he relaxed against your body.
he'd have to switch to a better position soon, but tonight you'll sleep being full of him.
Tumblr media
                   touya todoroki.
"you tired?"
is heard through your sleep like state, body fueled with pleasure and drowsiness fighting tooth and nail to pull you under. you defiantly hum, "no", your brattiness bringing a smile to Dabi's lips.
he had just pulled out of you, wet length pressed against your bum and your half naked body snuggled into him. in an effort to entice him once more, you try grinding back into him, the gesture earning a playful spank from him. you whimper in protest.
"one more..." you lazily lift your head as you try reaching behind you to find his length. he half-heartedly chastises you with the call of your name, swatting your hand away despite your efforts.
he pulls you closer though (somehow it was possible) and he wraps his arms around your waist. he presses his face into your hair, inhaling your musk and closing his eyes in comfort at the familiarity of it all. his free right hand starts to roam your free skin, hand tracing the skin of your hip and thighs, surely taking it's time to get where it needs to.
unmistakenly you can still feel everything. his calming warmth, his calloused hands and his half-baked boner. you chuckle seemingly at the conclusion but quiet when his hand finally finds his way back between your thighs. you slightly open your thighs to help with his venture, softly humming at pressure of his digits palming your still slick folds.
your mouth drops open as he softly massages your pumpum, taking it's time with toying your nerves. he hums lowly when he withdraws to look at his digits glisten in the moon-lit room before taking them to his mouth and sucking on them for himself. it's sickening how his eyes roll back instinctively as he could never get tired of your taste, now wanting nothing more to fuck you again for the nth time tonight. instead he takes his hand back to insert two fingers into you, and smirking at the moist sound that comes from it.
some of his cum from the last round spilled out and it made no sense for it to go waste. he notes the way you slowly drift back into slumber and doesn't prolong the process. with utmost care, he stuffs the load back into your willing cunt. after a few pumps his hand finds itself wrapped around his abandoned cock and aligns his swollen tip to your hole. in the most gentle way possible, he thrusts himself in and reclaims his hold around your body again as Dabi drift off to sleep.

Tumblr media
Amongst the many things Joel shouldn’t do in his position, that being the boss of a successful contracting company, the worst is most likely lusting after the daughter of his favorite employee. You.
A stunning 22 year old sunshine. Something about that warmth made his cock swell again and again. How many times did you simply smile at him, resulting in Joel trying to tame his erection in the bathroom. Though he never finished, or was more was not able to. All his cock wanted was you, but just the mental image was not enough to quench his need.
It began innocently. Running into you when you brought your dad his forgotten lunch, short talks about whatever you could think of and giving you a tour of the company. Being the good girl that you are, you made sure to bring lunch for Joel too and for that alone he wanted to fuck your brains out.
He noticed that yoga pants, precisely those incredible skin tight ones, were your most liked attire to wear. You seem to own them in an array of colors and designs
Unprofessional is also to give an internship to you without paying attention to your skills or experience. He would hire you if you’d ask, he’d do anything and by now he had accepted the slight unhealthy obsession.
Even though Joel loves having you close to him, watching you walk away from him was so much better. Your butt cheeks jiggling so enticingly always leaves him Hard. Painfully so, he hadn’t gotten the chance to sink into a tight, wet and warm hole in forever so his lust was building up each day you tempted him.
Tonight however, he is gonna explode. Joel had watched you enter the cozy little work get-together earlier with your dad. Of course you wear one of those tight yoga pants again, these darn pieces of fabric leave nothing left to the imagination.
Sometimes Joel questions if you’re even wearing underwear. He sits in his office, not drawing up building plans and instead imagining your pussy rubbing against the seam all day.
He drifts off so far that he envisions sniffing and licking those pants after you wore them, these horny thoughts eat away at him.
It all boils over when he sees you slipping into the office of your dad, a chance for him, in there he can finally catch you all alone.
He trails after you carefully, watches you round the corners and bend over the table once you enter his room. A simple action that causes even more of his thoughts to stray, it’s the delicious curves of your ass, how they mold into the crotch where your puffy lips are so visible under the stretched fabric.
It all happens almost as if in trance, he pushes the door shut, locks it. Before you even have the chance to turn around he’s on you, pushing your front down on the table.
He’s tugging his zipper down, freeing his impressive throbbing length and drags his leaking tip all over your clothed butt-cheek.
“Sorry, babygirl, i couldn’t handle seein’ you prance around in those ridiculous pants.” Each word is emphasized with a thrust of his hips into your backside. His hands have a bruising grip on your hips.
“M..Mr.Miller, what are you doing?” You sound frightened and Joel can’t blame you but he has no intention to stop.
“Havin’ some fun, baby, I can make it good for you too, huh?” He humps you for a brief moment before pushing his shiny head between your clenched thighs.
“This is wrong, Mr.Miller you need to stop.” Joel might believe you’re actually telling him off, but the way your voice quivers doesn’t convince him. You don’t wanna get caught but the cock of your father’s boss doesn’t bother you.
“Shh, sweetheart, i can feel how wet you are, don’t lie to me.” The wet spandex material is offering the perfect amount of friction.
Joel can feel the telltale warmth in his groin of a pending orgasm. This might be over swiftly but he’ll make sure it won’t be the only time.
“I’m gonna come, sweetheart, paint those nice pants a lil white, huh, how bout’ that?”
Joel is on cloud nine, rambling in horny stupor.
“I’ll make a mess of you, my good little slut,” and that’s all it takes. He’s groaning loudly, frantically shaking from the harsh unloading of his heavy balls.
Unfortunately he can’t bask in the moment because he hears your father’s voice call for him. He tugs his length back into his jeans, closes his zipper and turns to leave, but not before landing a smack to your buttocks.
“That ass is a fucking present,” he leans down to your ear and whispers “can’t wait to unpack it.”

THAT WAS SO FAST WHAT, HOW????? FOR ME, IT TAKES ABOUT 3 BUSINESS DAYS TO EVEN FINISH A DRAWING ONG 😭😭‼️ BUT OMG THE DRAMAAAA ACJFNFDND THIS IS ACTUALLY SO FUNNY AND CLEVER I LOVE IT 😭😭💜💜✨
Since Quartz is basically getting all the tea, Ariya might risk to get info's from her about her families sudden decline and in turn will try to give her some juicy tea she discovered while looking for evidences herself👀 but knowing Quartz she might already know all the teas 💔💔 so it's a pretty risky gamble
I'M CRYING AT THE "Prince Shin has a PARTNER??? (NOT CLICKBAIT)" THAT'S SO FUNNY OMFG, IMAGINE THE RUMORS AND UPROAR 😭😭😭
Ariya would probably be so shocked that she almost spat her tea when she read that (despite her Father not wanting her to buy this unknown newspapers from unknown sources, it's probably her entertainment after a long day of handling the family problem) though she's definitely smart enough not to believe any of it XD unless it's a possible lead towards her investigation then she'll definitely reconsider👀👀👀
THIS IS SAUR GORGEOUS BTW I LOVE THE GOWN AND THE SUIT OML 😍😍 TSYM FOR JOINING 😭😭🫶🫶💜✨‼️‼️ IT'S HONESTLY SO FUN SEEING OTHER PEOPLE'S OC'S BE INSERTED IN MY AU 🥹🥹 I never expected you to suddenly join in ncksidudjd I love you art smmm it's truly an honor 🫶✨ glad you enjoyed it 🥳🥳

I got inspired by Bridgerton bro HELPF im waiting for the next season hehe
Quartz is basically using her two disguises to listen in to noble drama LMAOO yes Azul is funding her in exchange for info too 😭😭😭
She usually uses her butler diguise to listen in to the male drama and her Lady in Black for all the girl drama but she will switch it up if she needs to
She’s not interested in anyone but she is interested in stirring up fights and drama with her papers. Usually her papers are like “Prince Shin has a PARTNER??? (NOT CLICKBAIT)” or “The Queen of the Hearts is actually losing MONEY??” And she will watch it go down

2am · @taylorswiftmicrofic · hair · @black-brothers-microfic · rosestarkiller · word count: 724 · tw: mention of addiction
When Evan returned to their flat after work at 2 am, he found Regulus lying on his stomach on their bed playing some silly game on his mobile phone while Barty tried to get his attention.
“Just let me finish the game,” Regulus complained, focused on his phone as if his life depended on the well-kept condition of his virtual farm and the little animals he looked after there.
When Barty managed to take the phone away from him, Regulus sighed and extended his hand in his direction.
“Give it to me.”
Barty tucked the phone down his trousers and grinned.
“Come and get it.”
Regulus rolled his eyes, but soon cast a smile not at Barty's words, but at the sight of Evan coming up behind him.
“Welcome home,” Regulus greeted him.
Before Barty could turn around, Evan wrapped both arms around his body and rested his chin on his shoulder.
“Hmm, are you two at it again?” He reached under Barty's trousers and pulled out Regulus' phone. He glanced at the screen. “You know, Regulus, I think you have an addiction problem.”
Regulus snorted. He looked the cutest with his messy curls and and one of Barty' t-shirts that was rather loose on him.
“Says, who?”
“Don't give it to him, Evan,” Barty said as he placed both hands on his and stroked them lovingly. “He's really getting on my fucking nerves with the bloody phone.”
Evan tossed the phone towards the couch beyond the bed. He didn't need to ask Regulus to know that was true.
“You're so dramatic,” Regulus groaned.
“Who'd I get it from?”
Evan cupped Barty's cheek gently as he turned his face towards him and pressed their lips into a short but sweet kiss.
‘’Clingy today, aren’t we?” he smirked against his lips.
Barty nodded his head.
“I can take care of that,” he kissed his lips one last time before sitting on the edge of the bed. “Since Regulus prefers his crappy game, it'll just be you and me tonight,” he added as he kicked off his boots, soaked by the puddles he had accidentally stepped in on the way home.
He heard Regulus mumble under his breath.
“Something to say?” Evan inquired.
Regulus raised his chin and folded his arms as he watched Evan remove his street clothes.
“No, do whatever you want, I don't care,” he muttered in annoyance and attempted to get out of bed, only for Barty to yank on his leg, causing him to fall onto his stomach back on the mattress. “Fucker!”
Barty's response was to bite him on the butt and Regulus whined just before rolling over and lunging at him in order to bite his cheek back. Barty chuckled and grabbed his face to lovingly kiss him, instantly feeling Regulus relax under his touch.
“You’re so stupid,” Regulus flashed him a tiny warm smile.
They never got seriously mad at each other because that was how their dynamic worked, both bickering over the silliest of things and making up through kisses and caresses filled with the greatest of affection.
“I know,” Barty grinned and left a peck on his lips.
Evan, who had changed into his home clothes —which consisted of an oversized t-shirt and a pair of worn-out sweatpants— lay down on the bed and sighed deeply. He was exhausted.
Both Regulus and Barty knew what Evan needed even when he wouldn't voice it out. Thus, Barty settled onto one arm of Evan's, hugging it tightly. Regulus rested his head on his chest and proceeded to draw random patterns there with his index fingertip absentmindedly. One of Evan's arms automatically travelled to Barty's dark hair and the other to Regulus' back, both of which he started to stroke in slow and tender motions.
Playing the middleman between wankers who wouldn't listen to reason was taking its toll on him. However, Evan hardly ever talked about work. When he was at home, he preferred to forget about it and instead devote all his attention to the two men who didn't hesitate to recharge his batteries and brighten his day whenever he came home feeling down. Barty was watching him adoringly and Regulus was offering him soft touches that warmed his heart.
Yeah, his job sucked, but Barty and Regulus were the joy of his life and that was all that mattered.

Just want to take a moment to congratulate you on 500 followers! You absolutely deserve it and more! I love your ideas and your writing. Can I request a blurb with a headstrong reader who is always used to fixing things herself but Billy just wants to take care of her? I like the idea of PA reader, kinda like Donna & Harvey in Suits! Maybe something like reader gets “stood up” by an Anvil client whose interest in you got Billy clear on how he feels and jealous on someone else seeing your worth?
I used to love Suits... but I never finished watching it so I don't know what happened with the whole Darvey situation but I LOVED their dynamic in the first few seasons of the show (and also just how weird and awkward it was when Max Beesley's character was going out for Donna for a while). So, yeah, this was definitely fun to write and I hope I've managed to catch enough of the awesome Donna energy in the reader character here! (Also now I'm going to have to start watching Suits again)
Don't Have to Say You Love Me
Pairing : Billy Russo x Reader
Story Rating : M
Warnings : [This is 18+ only, minors DNI] Smutty behaviour.
You placed his coffee and lunch down in front of him, immediately drawing his attention upwards.
"Is that —"
"A large flat white and a toasted BLT with extra sauce," you said, knowing full well how he liked to take his lunch on a Friday. By this point you were almost offended that he dared to ask.
"And have you got —"
"The research on the Collins account and the two government contracts Senator Williams wants to discuss," you interrupted as you pulled three files from beneath your arm and placed them down.
His eyes narrowed on you, mind obvious racing, trying to find something you hadn't thought of.
"What about —"
"Yes, I've had someone from maintenance fix the AC in the meeting room because I know you don't like having the Senator in your office around the good scotch."
Everything was sorted. Everything he could possibly ask of you, and he knew why — he was just waiting for you to say it. You didn't want to have to say it, because you knew exactly what his reaction would be.
But you knew Billy Russo. You knew how fucking stubborn he could be.
It'd probably amuse him to keep you standing there all day like a lemon.
After a few seconds you let out a huff.
"You do remember that I'm leaving early today, right?" You asked, drawing attention to the elephant in the room.
You weren't even sure why Billy was so annoyed that you'd gone and gotten yourself a date — he was stringing along half the women in New York, so why did it matter that you'd finally found someone who was interested in you?
"Right, how could I forget?" He said and you could hear the disdain in his voice. "I still can't believe you're going out with Thompson."
"Why not?" You asked, really not in the mood for his snarky behaviour. You both knew each other better than that.
"He just so —"
"Rich?" You offered. "Handsome? British?"
"Boring. He's not right for you, he doesn't deserve you."
You rolled your eyes. "And what would you know about what's right for me, Billy?"
The question was met with the expected silence. You'd long since given up on any fancy notion of him actually seeing you or admitting to the undeniable tension that had permeated your relationship since you first started working for him years ago.
What had once been a will they, would they, could they, had be stamped with a big red absolutely not by him and his inaction.
"Enjoy your date," he said, like he was driving the final nail into the coffin.
You couldn't remember exactly what you told him as you left his office, but it didn't matter. The pair of you argued, you always had. You'd made it clear from the start that, just because you were his PA, you weren't there to take any of his shit. You did your job and you were damned good at it — he was lucky to have you, lucky that you still wanted to work for him when there were so many other firms that would love to have you.
But you were loyal if you had one fault. Endlessly loyal when it came to Anvil and when it came to Billy Russo.
The one thing you weren't, however, was an idiot. Davis Thompson was funny, charming and rich, and sure, you might have met him through work, but you at least owed it to yourself to see where it would go.
And, where it went, as it turned out, was absolutely nowhere.
You'd been stood up before — you were a big girl, getting snubbed by a man who couldn't even bother to text was not going to end your world. (Though it might give you the urge to key his car the next time he had a meeting at Anvil.)
You got to the bar early, and you waited.
And waited.
You ordered yourself a drink, and you waited.
You gave up on him showing, but you decided to have another glass of wine because, why not? And, while you were making bad decisions, you decided to add another to the list and text Billy.
Don't go getting smug, but you were right.
It took less than a minute for his reply to come through.
He bored you that much already?
You found yourself smiling, even as you rolled your eyes.
Didn't even show up.
Despite feeling somewhat embarrassed, you knew that Billy wasn't on the other end of the phone laughing at you. He wasn't like that. Not when it came to you. (He was probably planning on keying Thompson's car too now.)
You put your phone down on the bar and ordered another drink, only half-surprised when it didn't buzz with another message from Billy. It was fine. It was Friday, he was probably busy on a date of his own. You had your wine, you were happy, you'd maybe have one more, then —
"Well, here I am. What are your other two wishes?"
In any other circumstances the bad pick-up line would have had you seriously considering throwing your drink, but you recognised the voice immediately and before you could even turn your head, Billy Russo was sitting at the bar beside you.
"Please tell me you've never used that line on a woman you actually wanted to sleep with," you said, barely biting back a laugh.
"I have," he answered, waving down the bar tender and ordering a glass of what you were drinking.
"And did it work?"
"I'll let you know at the end of the night."
"Oh, ha ha, very funny." You rolled your eyes. "What are you doing here anyway?"
"Thought you might want some company since Thompson was a no-show."
For a few seconds you were willing to accept his answer, but it didn't exactly hold up under scrutiny.
"I text you literally five minutes ago; how did you get here so quick?" You asked, eyes narrowing.
"I was in the neighbourhood?"
He almost looked sheepish, embarrassed even, and you had no idea why. A dusting of pink spread across his cheeks and, for a second, he could barely even look at you.
"Okay, what the fuck is going on?" And, then when he looked at you, you felt an unsettling feeling in you gut. "What did you do?"
You'd always been good at reading him, at seeing right through him. And, right then, he had the look of a guilty man struggling to explain himself.
"Don't get angry —"
"Don't ask me not to get angry if you're going to say something that makes me angry, Billy," you warned.
He took a drink. "I might have cancelled your date —"
"You did what?"
Un-fucking-believable.
Actually, no. It was entirely fucking-believable. And that was what pissed you off the most. He'd ruined your date because of — what? Some selfish sense of jealousy and entitlement, because if he didn't want you, no one else should.
You start to move, standing only to find his fingers on your wrist.
"Wait —" he started, almost sounding panicked.
"I did wait, Billy," you said, admitting far more than you ever wanted to. "I waited for years. For you. And what were you doing? Fucking half of New York."
It was the first time you'd dared utter anything of the sort aloud, the first time either of you had openly admitted to the unspoken, unacted-upon feelings between you.
You tugged against his grip on you, but Billy held tight as you struggled against him.
"Let me go," you said.
"No," Billy answered, getting to his feet, standing in front of you. "I'm not letting you go again."
Before you could even think to question what the fuck he meant, his lips were on yours and your whole world seemed to come to a screeching halt. For a few sweet seconds, you were frozen, indulging in something you'd barely allowed yourself to dream about, but how could you trust it? How could you trust him when he was only kissing you because he'd been jealous, because he'd thought you were finally going to find happiness with someone else.
You pulled back from the kiss, enough to see the flicker of hurt in his eyes and the worry on his face.
"This better not be a game, Billy," you warned him. "I'm not one of your girls that you can pick up and drop whenever you —"
He cut you off with another kiss, his arm winding around you waist and pulling you against him. And you let him. You allowed yourself to melt into the warmth of his body, you fingers gripping his shirt at his waist, just beneath his jacket.
"No more games," he muttered against your lips. "I can't lose you. I won't. I'm sick of pretending that I don't want you — that I don't love you."
Your heart stuttered, knowing the weight that that word bore for Billy. He'd never used it when talking about any of the other women, and you knew it wasn't the sort of thing he'd say without meaning it.
Still, you couldn't bring yourself to say it back. Not yet, not when some part of you still ached over his treatment of you.
"Take me home," you said, daring to hope that this wasn't just some pipe dream that would vanish the moment he'd had you in his bed.
Not that you made it as far as his bed.
He'd taken you by the hand a pulled you out of the bar, into the cold New York air — his car was park a block over, it should have been a quick, short walk if it hadn't been for you pulling him back for another kiss. Then, before either of you could think, you found yourself in an alleyway, pressed back against a wall as Billy kissed you.
Years of tension quickly came to the fore, your fingers gripping his jacket, his shirt, his hair — anything you could get hold of, anything you could use to keep him close. And all the while, he kissed you. You couldn't get enough of him.
Things quickly reached boiling point, your fingers tugging at the fastenings of his pants while he lifted your dress. There was no slow build, no teasing foreplay, once you'd freed his cock, you found yourself lifted and —
"Fuck," you moaned against his lips, "fuck, fuck, fuck — Billy."
He buried himself inside you in a single fluid movement, stopping when every inch of him was hilted.
His forehead pressed against yours as you both stilled, already breathless, and both entirely overwhelmed.
"Billy," you said in a low whine, your fingers gripping his hair.
His eyes opened and he looked at you through the gloom of the alley.
"I love you," he said softly, like he'd finally realised the gravity of the situation.
He started to move with slow but deep thrusts, not quite making love to you, but doing all he could to show you that this meant something. He alternated between kissing your lips and your neck, and you found yourself leaning into his every touch as pleasure started to coil inside you.
Your legs tightened around his waist, keeping him close, never wanting to let him go. And when you came it was with four little words.
"I love you too."

After an argument, MC begins to navigate Caleb's 'lockdown' regime. When she thinks the coast is clear, she finds him half dressed. Should fit into the main story. Angst after a shaky reunion.
Word count: 1.5K
A/N: Yipee my first real tumblr post. My mind has been consumed by Caleb. Anyway, just a short bit of angst while i figure out how to use tumblr and get used to posting. woohoo
-
The glare of sunlight roused her from a night of intermittent sleep. She sat up with a wince, clutching her head as the sun’s harsh rays felt like a panging taunt. She fiddled with the curtains in between her fingers. They were wide open, a rare occurrence as Caleb was always the one to draw her curtains each night. But last night he didn’t, or rather he couldn’t, as she had shut him out before dinner. Slamming and locking the door. She rubbed her temple. She had lashed out at him for insisting he accompany her everywhere while she was in Skyhaven.
“I don’t need your constant surveillance-”
“Surveillance!? You’ve been in Skyhaven for all but two days. And you think you know everything that’s out there. This isn’t the DAA; you’re not staying on a campus for God’s sake.”
“So what?” She cried. “I’m a competent Hunter. I can hold my own ground. Why do you always diminish that?”
He scoffed, rubbing his jaw. “I never said you weren’t a good Hunter-”
“You implied it.”
“Let me finish.” His gaze hardened and she knitted her brows together in frustration. “There are things here unlike Linkon. Unlike anything you’ve probably encountered at the association. Fleet guards can barely hold their own as is.”
She shook her head. “Like what? What’s out there that’s so dangerous?” He looked past her into the kitchen, then checked his watch.
“Come on, dinner’s ready. You can help me set the table.”
She scoffed as he walked past her, throwing her hands up. “You won’t even answer me,” she yelled.
She hadn’t managed to get him to break at all. He would just ignore her or change the topic. Treating her like she was the same dumb kid from their childhood.
Her stomach growled. That’s what she got for having the argument right before dinner. The devastating weight of shame dwelled in her stomach, overpowering her hunger. She felt like a brat. Like the dumb kid she was so adamant she wasn’t anymore. Even if he was being considerably overbearing, she knew he was trying to protect her. The familiarity just let her lash out at him easier. Show him all the ugly sides to her that she hated so much.
She checked her phone. 7:40 AM. Surely he had left by now. She’d rather starve than have to face him at this moment. She’d apologise tonight, after she’d had time to reflect and cry about it. Rehearse something to get back into his good graces.
She opened the door slowly and its hinges whined out. The house was eerily silent. So far so good. Stepping out onto the cold tiles, she peered around every corner till she made it to the kitchen. He really had left. She felt an inexplicable pang in her chest, but she brushed it off as her being on the brink of starvation. Pacing around the kitchen, she began opening each cabinet. Where did he store the bowls again? Much to her surprise, each cabinet was full. He had enough crockery, containers, and cutlery for a family of six. Did he regularly have guests over? Someone special maybe that stayed here for long durations of time? That same pang ached in her chest again. She really needed to find a bowl soon!
“Ahem…”
She jumped, turning around at the sound. Caleb stood in the doorway, adjusting the cuffs of his shirt. He was wearing the grey button-up shirt of his uniform and his white pants.
“...” She couldn’t speak. She felt like she had been caught red-handed. A silence enveloped him, both of them admiring the interior until their eyes caught onto each other. Now, neither could look away.
“Good morning,” he offered.
“...Morning,” she replied. She rubbed her arms. “I thought you had left already.”
“Is that why you-” he bit back his words, sucking in a breath. “Are you hungry? You didn’t have dinner last night. Let me make you breakfast.”
She gave him a small smile. “You don’t have to do that. You’re going to be late.”
“I’ll call in. Please, let me make you breakfast.”
Another pause.
“I’m…sorry for last night. I was…I was being irrational. And I lashed out at you.” She dug up the courage to look at him, but he looked equally apologetic.
“I’m sorry as well. You’re a brilliant Hunter. I didn’t mean to undermine you.” She smiled at his words, shaking her head. An awkward fog of tension still surrounded them.
She tiptoed towards him, closing the distance. He gave her a once over. She was wearing a thin shirt and a skirt. He took her wrist into his clasp, rubbing over the goosebumps on her flesh.
“Your feet are cold. Let me…” He turned, exiting the room quickly. When he came back, he was holding a pair of slippers. He kneeled down, guiding her feet into them. That was strange. They were pink. And they fit her perfectly. Was the person who he was having over a girl?
He had always made her play the role of his pretend girlfriend when they were younger. Was it now that her role was no longer needed?
“So…Porridge? Or how about pancakes?” He gave her a warm smile, fighting to fill the silence.
“Don’t worry about it. I’ll go get breakfast with a friend. I don’t want to make you any more late.” She returned his smile, gesturing for him to finish getting dressed. She had a few friends from school who had moved to Skyhaven. Surely one of them would be up for a last minute breakfast.
But Caleb remained still, his smile faltering. “You’re going out?”
She furrowed her brows, trying to gauge his reaction. She sighed. “Are you serious?”
He let out a strained exhale. “Come on, I’m just looking out for you.” He was still on about this. Now that she thought back to his apology--and hers as well--neither of them had claimed to be wrong.
She closed her eyes, turning to walk back to her room to get dressed.
“Hey, wait. Wait.” He gripped her arm, moving in front of her. He gaped desperately at her, struggling to find words that wouldn’t push her over the edge.
“Are you really going to keep me in here?”
“No, I…” She searched his eyes. And in turn, he searched hers. She was unwavering in her resolve. He could see that. Would they really fight again? After they had just supposedly made up? He sucked in a breath before slumping his shoulders. “...Help me with my tie, won’t you?”
She blinked.
He picked up his tie from where he had laid it on the table. It was black and silky, and cool to the touch. He offered it to her, eyes pleading. After a moment's silence, she took it, their fingers brushing against each other.
“You expect me to believe you don’t know how to tie a tie?”
He shook his head pathetically. She smoothed out the fabric, hooking it over his neck.
“I wonder how you managed to get by without me,” she murmured under her breath, playing into his trick. As she tucked the fabric under his collar he lifted his hands to hold her arms, thumbs rubbing over her elbows. She was careful not to let her cold fingertips graze his neck. Every swallow, sharp breath, and rustle of fabric was amplified. It made her ears prickle. It made conscious of her every breath being so close to him.
“I’m sorry,” he apologised again. “I keep…messing up with you. It’s like everything I say and do is wrong.”
She sighed, looping the tie around itself. “No, Caleb. I know you mean well. It’s just- well I need to be my own person.” He nodded, hands shifting to smooth over her upper arm.
“I’m not trying to control you. I just can’t trust anyone but myself to keep you safe.” She finished looping the fabric, pulling the tie tightly into position.
“Not even me?”
He didn’t reply immediately. And she sighed before bringing her hand up again to loosen the tie slightly. She smoothed out his collar. Then brushed down the fabric of his shirt.
“All done.”
Before she could leave he held her back again. He was always at a loss for words with her.
“...Thank you.”
She shrugged in his hold. “Have a good day at work.” But her words were bitter. And she sunk out of his grasp as soon as his grip loosened. He gave her cheek a parting pinch, offering an unrequited smile. Just like that he was back to his cheerful self. The walls around him hardening like steel. Impenetrable and unyielding.
“Okay, pancakes it is.”

apparently this post generated some backlash on my husband, as i received more than one anon ask accusing him of scolding me as if he was a parent, and that he doesn’t have the right to draw the line at the sheep, and i should get the sheep anyway… (a sheep i don’t want, for the record)
guys. i appreciate your concern but… notwithstanding that he was clearly joking when using this wording, my husband is the NO. 1 supporter of each and every single crazy hobby i get into. he was supporting me when i was making cosmetics and transforming our apartment in a lab where he had to be careful before picking up a glass and thinking it was water. he supported my “i prepare all food from scratch” journey and ate stuff that should never be eaten by a sane human. he supports my fanfiction writing even if i forbid him (yes! i draw lines too!) to read it. he supports my tatting and defends my hobby in front of people who turn up their nose when they learn i do such a grandma thing*. he cheers on my drawings even if he doesn’t know who the people in the drawing are. he supports my spending a fortune (of our money) to finish collecting the w.i.t.c.h. comic. he always moved his chair next to my piano when i was still playing so he could hear what he could through the headphones (we live in an apartment so i rarely played open).
*yes yes before i get an anon ask on this: i can defend myself and my hobby on my own too, but trust me it’s nice when your life partners also stands up for what you do
i wouldn’t marry someone who doesn’t support my stuff and who doesn’t treat me like a grownup but i think i also have to say that he DOES have a right to voice his opinion on whether he agrees or not on acquiring a SHEEP in an apartment that we SHARE. wouldn’t it be the same for me? imagine he comes back home one day with a sheep and at my questioning look he says, “i’m a grownup, you don’t get to decide for me if we can have a sheep”
i think here the “we” is the key. one thing is not letting husbands decide for you and being bosses instead of partners, but this doesn’t mean that i get to become the boss. we share spaces and a life so we should agree on things that concern both of us, like… well, having a sheep running around in our apartment in a big city.
husband’s reaction to my “i was watching some videos on how they spin wool with the drop spindle” was “okay, i’m fine if you want to do it, but i draw the line at when you want to have the sheep” so i suppose we’re good to go for now

Cruel Summer Ch. 7

You grinned at the crowd as you grabbed your guitar and stood at the mic. “Welcome to the acoustic set!” you laughed as they all cheered loudly. “So originally I was going to sing a few songs that you guys already know.” You grinned as they continued to cheer. “But…I have a very special reason for wanting to play this one song…it's new, never before been heard by ANYONE but my manager…so I hope you’ll like it!” you grinned as you began to strum the guitar.
‘This happens once every few lifetimes
These chemicals hit me like white wine
What if I told you I'm back?
The hospital was a drag
Worst sleep that I ever had
I circled you on a map
I haven't come around in so long
But I'm coming back so strong’
You beamed as you stepped by to strum for a few moments before stepping back up to the mic.
‘So when I touch down
Call the amateurs and
Cut 'em from the team
Ditch the clowns, get the crown
Baby I'm the one to beat
Cause the sign on your heart
Said it's still reserved for me
Honestly, who are we to fight the alchemy?
Hey you, what if I told you we're cool?
That child's play back in school
Is forgiven under my rule
I haven't come around in so long
But I'm making a comeback to where I belong …’
You continued the song, singing and glancing toward the VIP tent with a large smile covering your face. You wanted Chris to enjoy this as much as you’d enjoyed being loved by someone so openly.
‘These blokes warm the benches
We been on a winning streak
He jokes that it's heroin but this time with an "E"
Cause the sign on your heart said it's still reserved for me
Honestly, who are we to fight the alchemy?
Shirts off, and your friends lift you up over their heads
Beer sticking to the floor
Cheers chanted, cause they said
There was no chance, trying to be
The greatest in the league
Where's the trophy?
He just comes running over to me’
As you finished playing the song, the crowd erupted in cheers. You saw people taking photos of the VIP area as well, so you stood and laughed softly while they filmed, took photos of themselves with you in the background, and just overall cheered with excitement. You moved over to the piano, sitting down and smiling out at the crowd as you moved toward the mic. “Now this one? This one you definitely know.” you leaned back and began playing ‘Daylight’ inciting more screams and cheering.
‘My love was as cruel as the cities I lived in
Everyone looked worse in the light
There are so many lines that I've crossed unforgiven
I'll tell you the truth, but never goodbye
I don't wanna look at anything else now that I saw you
I don't wanna think of anything else now that I thought of you
I've been sleeping so long in a 20-year dark night
And now I see daylight, I only see daylight’
Chris watched proudly as you sang, he couldn’t believe you two were together and happy. Even given how hectic your lives had been lately, you two still made time for each other. He grinned watching you as others watched him, taking photos and videos. Which you both would gush over later. He couldn’t wait to show you off to all your friends either. He was finally happy, finally with someone who cared about him as a person, and not because of who he was.
‘Luck of the draw only draws the unlucky
And so I became the butt of the joke
I wounded the good and I trusted the wicked
Clearing the air, I breathed in the smoke
Maybe you ran with the wolves and refused to settle down
Maybe I've stormed out of every single room in this town
Threw out our cloaks and our daggers because it's morning now
It's brighter now, now
As you performed, you couldn’t stop smiling; you hoped he would listen to these words and understand how in love you were with him. As the song came to an end, Chris cheered and whistled loudly as you bowed.
You finished the concert, blowing a kiss to the crowd before going backstage to meet Chris. He stood there, grinning as you leaped into his arms, pressing a tender kiss to his lips. “Incredible,” he whispered as you grinned. “Yeah? You like the new song?” you asked as he chuckled, Y/E/C shining brightly as you looked up at him, “I loved it. I love you,” he said as you stared into his eyes, a grin taking over your features. “I love you too,” you whispered, pressing your lips into his again.
Once you changed into a pair of sun bleached jeans, a white tank top with a tan crocheted beach top over it. You hopped into the car with Chris and took off on what would turn out to be a life changing weekend.
When you both arrived, Chris told you he was going down to the beach where the guys were hanging out around a fire, and you decided to look for the girls. You found them all out on the back patio, and walked through the kitchen to access the back patio. There was Scarlet, along with Ali and a few of her friends. “Hey!” you were speaking to Scarlet, who stood up and grinned, however Ali practically shoved her out of the way and bear hugged you. “Oh my god!” she giggled again, clearly tipsy if not drunk already. “I can’t believe you’re here!” She shouted laughing with her friends. You looked from her to Scarlet and smiled. “Yep!” it was a fake smile but you attempted to look happy. “We have to get you a drink before we make our way down to the beach where the guys are!” she said as she drugged you into the house.
-Chris’s POV-
You greeted the guys as you approached them, seeing Robert, Jeremy, Mark, Sebastian, and Anthony. The rest of the group was either guys that Chris knew from his life or his family members, like his brother. “Hemsworth! About time you showed up!” Evans laughed as the girls squealing on the deck cause all the guys to look up there. “What’s she doing here? Thought she wasn’t invited Evans.” Robert asked, trying to stifle a laugh. “She wasn’t.” Evans replied in a sharp, venom dripping tone as his nostrils flared a bit. “She came with me. Is there something wrong with her being here?” you asked as everyone got a seat around the fire.
“Come on Hemsworth we’ve all seen the tabloids…we know you guys are at the very least fucking.” Jeremy said laughing as Mark winched glancing up at you. “Whoa…no, we’re just old friends hanging out. What’s wrong with that?” you asked as the group settled down and glanced at Evans. “Dude…you don’t want to get mixed up in that. Y/N….she’s a nice girl? Bro she’s fuckin psycho. We used to hook up when we all filmed together, she’s a clingy bitch and lousy in bed, the worst mistake I ever made. Just trust me, plus…we’ve all seen it…she used to beg me to film it.” Evans said as a few of the guys tried to hide their laughter.
You raised an eyebrow. “What are you guys talking about? Y/N & I are friends, I’d never dream of dating her. Not in a million years.” you said before the girls giggled from behind you as Ali rushed past, straight into Evans arms. “Look who decided to show up!” she laughed looking at Y/N as she stood by you.
-Y/N POV-
You’d never felt so out of place and awkward in your entire life, hearing the man you were in love with say he’d never date you in a million years stung, alot. The guys were staring at you, some were smirking and eyeing your body, others wouldn’t even meet your eyes, while a few winked, licked their lips and made kissy faces at you. “Y/N has agreed to sing a couple of songs for us!” Ali beamed before looking at you as you looked surprised. “And I know just the songs!” you went to protest but no one backed you up. Not even Hemsworth.
You felt like everyone knew something you didn’t and what made it worse, was overhearing Chris say he’d never date you. You looked surprised to see Ali reappear with a guitar and leaned over to you as you took a seat around the fire. “Can you play…Is It Over Now? And “Slut!”?” she gave you the fakest puppy eyes and in your gut, you knew. She knew. They all fucking knew.
You swallowed, and strummed the guitar and tuned it before looking up and across the fire. You saw Chris sitting with Evans and a couple other cast members not even looking at you. Scarlet held a sad look on her face as you began to sing.
