“Drüsje,” he said with satisfaction. Witch. He had a wolf’s smile. The attack had been a test. A girl lost in the woods cowered; she reached for a knife or a gun. She didn’t try to use her hands to stop a man’s heart. Reckless. Impulsive. This was why Zoya hadn’t wanted to bring her. Properly trained Grisha didn’t make these mistakes. Nina had been a fool, but she didn’t have to be a traitor. She pleaded with them in Kaelish, not Ravkan, and she didn’t cry out for help—not when they bound her hands, not when they threatened her, not when they tossed her in a rowboat like a bag of millet. She wanted to scream her terror, bring Zoya running, beg for someone to save her, but she wouldn’t risk the others’ lives.
Six of Crows- Chapter 14 (Leigh Bardugo)
I wouldn't call Nina reckless or impulsive. Inexperienced, surely, but one can't expect a girl of her age and lack of education to react properly when attacked after being severely upset. She tried to defend herself on the most instinctive level and what I'd like to draw the attention to the most. ↴
Even captured, on her way to horrors unimaginable, Nina has enough sense to keep her fake persona to protect others.
I can't wait for a flashback enlightening us on why would Nina put so much faith in Zoya. Why she looks up to her so much. Why she believes Zoya would run to save her (aside from being weak and lacking compared to her). Perhaps the Squaller didn't want to bring her at first, but she allowed it, AND she's been the reason Nina ran away, constantly bringing her down. She's the one to blame, not worship.

I'm thinking sad Jaskier thoughts.
It takes a while for Geralt to realize the music is gone. Oh Jaskier still sings- for their supper, for Ciri when she's sad, to entertain Kaer Morhen on late card playing nights. But the music- the music is gone. No more of the mindless humming as he walks, no more parsing over rhymes by the fire, no more harassing Geralt for his thoughts on such and such melody. Jaskier sings like a wind-up music box, only when requested, cranked for it, and snapping shut into silence like the sharp closing of a lid.
Yennefer snorts at his concern. "It took you this long to notice?"
Geralt grunts. She smiles, sharp and bitter. "You always were slow."
"How do I fix it?" Geralt snaps. He is not here to be mocked or play games.
"Can you fix it?" Yennefer asks. "I don't know."
Geralt doesn't know either. All he can do is try.
One of the mages had left a god's damned harpsichord in their tower room. It takes Geralt weeks- lugging the ornate monstrosity down from the mages tower, finding schematics in the library for the damn thing, undoing by sheer will the rot and moulding of a hundred years on the instrument. He spends his evenings waist deep in the guts of the instrument, swearing over chords and tuning and keys.
Jaskier's silence, now that he notices it, gapes like an open wound, bleeding wherever he goes. It stains memories of years past, of a cheerful smile and conversation given to him so freely, so easily, not a hint of subterfuge or awkwardness or fear. Now Jaskier only says good morrow if Geralt says it first, only speaks when spoken to, only smiles when Ciri is looking his way.
Geralt polishes the harpsichord until his fingers blister and his nose stings from the smell. He paints the elaborate carvings with pure gold leaf. He spends hours tightening strings trying to get the thing in tune. He worries over it like a child, because he doesn't know what else to do.
"What do you think?" He asks Eskel as they carry it carefully down to Jaskier's room.
"It's very nice." Eskel says diplomatically. "I'm sure he'll appreciate it."
"Appreciate it?" Geralt doesn't want appreciation. He wants that soft tone back in Jaskier's voice when he speaks to him. He wants Jaskier to speak to him, to turn to him free and easy with something to say.
"He'll like it," Eskel says, "Just-"
He turns, his soft eyes full of warning. "Just don't put all your hopes on an old harpsichord."
Lambert snorts, "Too little too late!" He laughs. And Lambert has always been hateful, more so since Aiden was lost, but the words feel true.
Jaskier smiles when he presents him with the harpsichord. He exclaims and laughs and claps his hands. He extolls its virtues, coos over its decorations, fusses over it with all the enthusiasm of a performing parrot. He pulls Ciri onto his lap and guides her hands on the keys, composes a little ditty on the fly for Yennefer, plays something sweet and sad that makes Lambert turn his face away. In all the merriment and gratitude and excitement, he looks Geralt in the eyes only once. Once, upon the first shock of the present. Once, with eyes wide and open, like a wound.
Geralt lingers as the others go off to bed, watching as Jaskier slowly fades as his audience wanes.
"Thank you, Geralt." he says. "It is truly a magnificent present. And far more than I deserve."
Do not thank me is what Geralt wants to say. Do not thank me, not when I have done this to you.
"I didn't do much," is what comes out of his mouth. "It was already there."
Jaskier does not look at him. "If this is an apology-" he says, "I do not need it. You were tired and upset. You spoke your mind. And nothing you said was- untrue. From a certain point of view. You do not need to absolve your guilt to me."
"Jaskier," Geralt says. "I'm sorry."
"And I forgive you." Jaskier says "I forgave you even the moment you after spoke. I don't think I would be myself if I could do otherwise."
It is done. The gift given, the apology accepted. And yet the silence still sits heavy in the air. It is not fixed. It is still broken. It is still out of tune and all of Geralt's twisting and tunings have not set the melody to rights.
"Why are you still like this?" He says. Jaskier stiffens. The words are wrong again, he's done it again, and he could scream with frustration, like a child who keeps swinging the sword and cutting himself on the dulled edge.
"Do you know the Countess de Stael bought me a Stradivarius once?" Jaskier said. "You don't know what that is. A fiddle, rarer than rubies. There were only twenty ever made. It sings like nothing else. She presented it to me on a bed of velvet, and told me she loved me. She told me to stay. And I would have."
Jaskier plinks a few idle notes. "She kicked me out a month later. Too mouthy. Too tacky. Too gauche. She had found someone better. She took back the Stradivarius and handed it off to her new minstrel."
"What I am saying, Geralt-" He says. "What I am asking- Is that you not do things you do not mean. That you not give me false hope. That you stop trying to make me love you, because I already do. I already do and it hurts. It hurts so much."

DONT BREAK MY HEART PART 7 but make it smut 🥵🤭
part one, part two, part three, part four, part five, part six
terror twins x reader (platonic) / the judgment day x reader (platonic) / drew mcintyre x reader
likes, comments and reblogs are always appreciated!!
‼️family issues, fear or abandonment, fear of loneliness, nightmares, panic attacks, mention and talk of sex (?), some hints of smut, slow burn
don’t break my heart - part 7
you and drew took some time off from the company after what happened last time. you saw a side of finn that you never saw and it honestly scared you. from him treating you as a daughter, helping you overcome your fears and traumas to be the one who caused you more pain than ever.
you didn’t know what triggered him to get violent with you and, at this point, you didn’t even care to find out. rhea and damian understood why you weren’t going to be there with them and they couldn’t blame you. rhea was still shocked that finn raised his hands on you and she understood that you needed time to heal. they were both very concerned about you and even if rhea spoke - or more, threatened and screamed at finn - he didn’t see any wrong in what he did.
you texted a good luck message to both rhea and damian before you got comfy on your couch with drew next to you.
he huffed when he saw punk opening tonight’s raw, making you smile a little. you both watched what he had to say and you couldn’t lie that he was very good at doing promos. drew, of course, was pretty irritated and as petty as he is, he had to have the last word “can you take a video of me to post on instagram? punk needs to see his words aren’t a threat for me…” drew asked with his typical smirk on his face. you nodded, chuckling at his expression once you clicked on the camera and started recording. he turned serious, clapping at what punk said. he wanted to show who was really in charge and you couldn’t lie, this side of him always turned you on but you couldn’t let him know. you never even talked about sex so it seemed weird for you to tell him about how hot he looked while being so dominant. he posted the video and thanked you, complimenting your videographer skills “what you looking at?” he whispered, noticing you dozing off.
“oh, nothing…let’s keep watching the show, rhea told me she had some promos with jey and i’m so happy for her…” you tried to change the subject, knowing that drew’s thick accent and deep voice always made you flustered “i think jey might be good for her…”
“yeah, she deserves some happiness, just like you” he whispered, dragging you closer to his body and gently covering you with his blanket. his little gesture made you smile, as you laid your head over his shoulder, you couldn’t stop thinking about how lucky you were that you had found someone as kind and caring and as drew was.
you both got comfortable watching monday night raw while eating popcorn. you were both ready to come back after a week of being at home - your home as drew crashed in and never left - and you honestly missed the feeling of being in the ring and training with damian and rhea. you’ve been in contact this past week but you missed their company and you couldn’t wait for them to be back in town so you could visit them.
as you watched rhea’s promo getting interrupted by finn, your body tensed a little. drew felt that and he gently caressed your thigh, almost as if he wanted to let you know that he was there.
“what you mean finn caused all of this?” you whispered watching how finn confessed all of his wicked plan to rhea. he was the one who told you that everything was going to be okay at summerslam and now he confessed he was the one to lure dominik to go for liv? oh, you were so pissed. he was the reason your family fell apart and, truthfully, even though it hurt, you were lucky that finn showed his true colours before it was too late for you “he’s so dead…” you whispered loud enough that drew was able to hear you.
“yeah he’s dead but you’re not going closer to him anymore in your life…” drew was still mad about the outcome of last week. he never saw you so shaken up. he wanted to kill finn for causing you all of this pain, for bringing back bad memories and unpleasant feelings and if murder was legal, he probably would have already done it. but you were his first priority and that night he took care of you. he held you while you were falling asleep and he calmed you down after you woke up crying from a nightmare. he was there for you.
“you should have listened to what he was saying to me at summerslam” you remembered “he said how he didn’t know about dominik betraying liv, how he cared for the group…and now, he just confessed that he was the mind behind all of it? how can someone be so manipulative?” you took a deep breath, already knowing the answer.
“hey, why don’t we focus on something else?” he asked, hoping that it would distract you.
“yeah, probably better” you laughed “please, enlighten me with how you are going to destroy cm punk at bad blood” you teased him, making him smile.
you loved how happy he was to talk about his feud with punk. he couldn’t stand the older man but knowing that he had you on his side, made him feel proud.
you talked about it for hours. monday night raw already forgotten, as an other show played in the background. your head laid on his chest while he was softly stroking your back.
you felt yourself getting tired and before you could protest, you fell asleep on his muscular chest. hearing a soft laugh before you dozed off, he kissed you good night and gently carried you to your bedroom.
he got comfortable on the bed, laying you under the blanket and him laying next to you, holding you as he turned off the lights and fell asleep.
you didn’t know what time it was when you woke up. probably around 3 am. it was dark outside and there was an uncomfortable silence going on that made your heart beat faster. you got out of bed carefully, trying not to wake drew that was peacefully sleeping next to you. with nowhere to go, you decided to hide yourself in the bathroom.
another night, another nightmare.
but this time it was more graphic. it wasn’t something that happened - no - it was something that your mind was making up, something so scary that you couldn’t control your tears. you were scared of your mind and all the dark thoughts that you were experiencing.
drew - of course - felt the moment you stood up from your bed and hid yourself in the bathroom. he was used to your nightmares and everytime it was different. sometimes you would wake up screaming, crying, sometimes you wouldn’t even wake up - he would find you shaking on the bed and he would have to wake you up - and sometimes you would wake up without making a sound.
but no matter what, he always told you to wake him up in case he wouldn’t hear you and everytime you did the opposite of what he asked. always hiding or closing you in yourself.
he heard your soft sobs and he immediately knew what was going on. knocking on the locked bathroom door, he was almost begging you to let him in. slowly, unlocking the door, you were met with his worried eyes “oh love…come here” he opened his arms for you, letting you know that he was there for you “another nightmare?” he asked, already knowing the answer.
no words came from your mouth but you didn’t need to - he understood perfectly what was going on. softly walking you to the bed, he laid with you, holding you in his arms as you cried.
“i’m sorry i woke you up…” you sniffled.
“don’t apologise, baby, never apologise for this…it’s okay i promise you” leaving a soft kiss on your cheek, whispering softly in your ear as he rocked you between his arms “do you feel safe sleeping again? we can stay awake and watch tv if not” he was so patient with you and you melted everytime he showed his soft side to you.
“we should sleep…we’re coming back to raw soon and with bad blood in just a few weeks, i wanna be okay for that…i have to, for rhea and damian, for you, and mostly for me” you loved how day by day you gained some little confidence, thanks for the amount of love drew always showed you.
“okay, let’s lay down my love” without leaving you, he kept holding your body in his arms. laying your head on his chest, you fell asleep quickly to the sound of his heartbeat.
when morning hit, you and drew began your usual routine, and so it went on for days and days until you were both scheduled to come back to monday night raw.
“can’t wait to see rhea and damian again…” you whispered a little excited as you were packing your bags. drew chuckled, it was becoming less rare to see you this bubbly and he loved it.
of course rhea texted you that damian and her would be on a different flight because their timing was very chaotic and so they forgot to book flights for the event. she couldn’t wait to see you, she kept in touch with you and sometimes you trained together but you also needed more time for you, more time for you and drew, to explore your relationship.
as you texted her that you would see her at the hotel, drew carried all of your bags into his car as he was ready for the airport.
“coming!” you shouted before making sure you took everything you needed and closing the doors.
you could simplify the word airport with pure chaos. you hated flying, especially when you had to go from florida to canada. from the warmest temperature to the coldest one. nine times out of ten you would always get sick because of the drastic temperature change. but drew took care of everything. from checking in your bags to looking for your gate, from buying you some snacks to eat during the flight to give you the window seat that was initially under his name. he did everything he could to make this flight comfortable for you.
“what hotel room do you have baby?” he causally asked you.
“uhm…357, what about you?”
“209” he laughed “why do they keep putting us on different levels?”
“maybe because no one else apart from rhea and damian know that we are together” you joked.
“yeah…” he laughed but he thought for a minute. what if you went public? would it be too early for you? would it make you uncomfortable? he definitely was going to bring the topic up but not now as he saw how stressed you already were, trying to find a comfortable position in your seat.
many hours later you finally arrived. car rental waiting for drew outside the airport was nothing new. you saw him signing off some paperwork and you immediately jumped in the car, not wanting to freeze your ass more than what you were already doing. chuckling, drew got into the car and drove towards the hotel.
“we’re gonna stay here for three days baby, will you make it?” he joked, seeing how hardly you were trying to keep your hands warm.
“i’ll tell you when i start transitioning in elsa” you matched his irony, making the both of you laugh.
as usual, drew walked you to your room first and helped you with your bags.
“i’m gonna go through the script again in the meantime…i can’t believe rhea and damian forgot to book their flights” you laughed. you actually could believe it since they always did that. when you were still in the judgment day finn was the one who took care of everything but now, with you even hating the idea of flying, with rhea and damian being always too busy with their lives, it wasn’t nothing new that you booked last minute tickets.
“i’ll go rest a little bit and then i’ll hit the gym, text me when you’re done with rhea and damian, let me know if i can join you for dinner or if they’ll kill me” he joked before kissing you goodbye, heading towards his room.
you definitely weren’t expecting that rhea and damian would be so welcoming with drew. dinner went smoothly, laughing and making jokes and for the first time, after the mess with the judgment day, as you look at them, you saw a family, a real family, that was going to be there for you, no matter what.
while rhea and damian moved to reach their bedrooms, you and drew took a few steps along the hallways of the hotel, holding hands and talking about the little things.
like always, he walked you back to your room and stayed there for a few minutes. he was visibly tired, from the long day he just had but nevertheless, he took time making sure that you were okay and safe in your room.
before he left he gently pushed your body into his bigger one, circling your hips with his hands. you stood up a little taller to reach his lips - a goodnight kiss as usual - and when he bit your lips you couldn’t help but moan a little into his mouth. you definitely wasn’t expecting that. you liked it, a lot, but his strong grip on your hips and his tongue teasing your lips were making you hot and very bothered as you had no idea on how to react.
“if you ever want, tonight or tomorrow night, my room is always open for you” he whispered in your ear, sending shivers down your spine. with one last kiss he left, a cocky smile on his face while you stood there speechless.
with all that was going on with your life, you’ve never thought about that. the possibility of having sex with drew. sure, it crossed your mind but you never thought about it. and it was a serious thing. of course he wouldn’t wait for you forever, he had needs and somehow, being always so close to him, made you realise that you had needs too.
panicking, you sent a quick message to rhea and damian, asking them to come immediately to your room.
in less than five minutes they were both there, wondering what was keeping you awake.
“is everything okay hermosa?” damian asked.
“yes, no…yes and no, i don’t know i need your help” you felt like you were in your sixteens again.
“with what?” rhea interrupted sitting on your bed next to damian as you were pacing around the room.
“it’s drew…i love him, i really do and he loves me too…this past weeks really helped us a lot with coming to the conclusion that we want this to be a long term relationship” you saw rhea and damian smiling “but…there’s a thing we haven’t really talked about and i think i need your help on this…” you were embarrassed.
you remember how your mother first told you about sex, you were only nine and you felt like she traumatised you. talking about it with your friends at school always made you embarrassed. you just didn’t know what to say or what to do.
“we haven’t done…you know, that” you tried to avoid those weird terms that always made you cringe.
“oh” they both said in sync.
“it’s bad, isn’t it?” you questioned, your eyes moving from the damian to rhea.
“what? no…absolutely not, it’s not bad y/n…” rhea immediately spoke up “he loves you and he clearly wants to wait for you to be ready”
“he was here before and he kinda let me understand that he wants to do it…you know, and i want it too but i don’t have much experience, basically i never had an ex boyfriend, just some dickheads who just wanted a blowjob and i have no idea what to do!” you started pacing around the room one more time. the duo glancing between you and themselves “and i know that if i tell him that, he would probably laugh…he’s a grown man after all” defeated, you threw yourself on the bed.
“that’s nonsense…” damian spoke with his gentle yet strong tone “he loves you and no matter what you say, he will never judge you or laugh at you…if you two want to have a long relationship, you gotta talk about this…he will be patient with you and who cares if you’re inexperienced, he will show you…you have all the time in front of you to learn, you’re young” damian soft voice made you realise that everything he said was true. you needed to talk about it with drew, you wanted to talk about it with drew.
“you’re right…you’re always right” you said making him chuckle.
“hey…you do you, do what you feel comfortable to do, no one will pressure you, okay?” rhea’s loving eyes stared into your look.
“i will, i promise…thank you” you were so glad to have them by your side.
“if you need anything, we’re a couple of doors away” damian said before kissing your forehead and leaving the room, followed by rhea.
needless to say, you stayed awake all night thinking about the duo’s words. maybe, tonight after the show you will find the courage to talk with drew.
drew texted you first thing in the morning, asking you if you were riding with him to the arena. accepting his offer, you met him down in the parking lot. with his cocky smile, he greeted you with a big hug and gentle kiss.
“have you slept good?” he asked.
“yeah…” you tried to fix your eye bags with some make up and thankfully, drew didn’t notice.
the ride towards the arena was silent but comfortable. one his hand was placed upon your thigh, gently squeezing it and sometimes drawing random circles on your skin.
“are you ready for tonight?” he asked, waking you up from your thoughts.
tonight? “what…tonight?”
“yeah the show” he laughed “we’re so close to bad blood…you sure you have slept?”
“oh yeah, the show…it’s probably gonna be the same boring story…damian has a match against dom, he’s definitely gonna crush him and then the budget day will crush damian, then rhea and i have come to the rescue, making those cowards run away” you knew how it was going to happen because that was everything you’ve been doing for the past weeks. you didn’t know how to feel, knowing that you would have to face balor, you didn’t wanna see him.
and so it was as you said. you almost predicted everything, except for the part where liv would hit rhea’s injured leg and so it was just you standing in front of rhea and damian as they were both laying there, inside the ring.
finn smirked, making you feel very uncomfortable. he had that sadistic smile he had the night he hit you.
“you can’t run…you can’t hide” he smirked, laughing at you.
at this point you weren’t even sure what was going to happen. liv didn’t attack you, she was the only one that logically would have attacked you. instead finn took a few steps forward, making you back up.
he was right - nowhere to run, nowhere to hide, especially since rhea and damian were laying injured behind you and the only thing that was stopping the judgment day from hitting them was you.
with the little strength he had left, damian reached out for you and threw himself over your body, the same way he did with rhea, when he saw that finn was ready to hit you.
he promised he would have never left finn hurt you again and so he saw the moment and took the hits instead of you.
in the meantime, jey uso music echoed through the arena, making people cheering and screaming. when they saw him, the group immediately ran away. but the twin didn’t care, his priority was rhea, and you two.
as damian helped you standing up, you couldn’t control your emotions and you threw yourself into his arms, hugging him.
“are you okay?” you whispered.
“yes, are you?” he looked down into your eyes and when he saw you nodding, he held you close.
“thank you…for protecting me” your voice trembled.
“i promised you, he would never lay his hands on you ever again” his tone was serious and you could tell that this wasn’t over.
you helped him backstage as rhea was being helped by jey. medical staff immediately went to check upon the duo as you and jey waited for them to be cleared. worried for them, you couldn’t sit still and jey tried his best to calm you down. your mind kept replaying the scene where damian covered you with his body, taking the hits for you.
“…hey, they’re gonna be okay” jey kept whispering, seeing how worried you were.
twenty minutes later and they were both finally cleared. damian was okay, rhea’s leg was still injured but the doctor told her that she would be recovering before bad blood so she wasn’t that worried.
they walked out, jey talked with rhea before going to get ready for his match. you went with them and when you all entered rhea’s changing room, you saw rhea being pissed. she was pissed with liv and the judgment day. she couldn’t stand them anymore.
“i can’t wait for bad blood…i’m gonna whip her ass, i can’t stand her” rhea kept mumbling.
“i can’t believe finn had the nerve to stand in front of y/n like that! he’s dead! i can’t wait to have my hands on him at bad blood” damian was angrier than rhea. talking as if you weren’t there, you let them, knowing that they needed to let their frustration out. as they were talking, your eyes were focused on the screen in front of you. drew was next and you couldn’t help but notice how good he looked that night. the way he spoke, his thick accent making everything ten times hotter. the way his eyes tried to be mischievous but deep down you knew the truth and he was a softie. everything from the way he was looking was making you hot. rhea and damian were trying to talk with you but you were too focused on the tv that you didn’t even know what they were saying.
“y/n!” rhea screamed a little too loud, making you jump on your spot “i asked you, do you come back with us or do you wait for drew?”
“uhm…you guys go, i’m gonna wait for him…have a goodnight” you smiled before hugging them both.
your eyes never leaving the screen, you couldn’t wait for drew to come backstage. feeling the need to be in his presence, to hug him and touch him.
patiently waiting for his segment to finish, the moment he came back to his locker room, you waited for him to shower and get ready. he was quick so you gave him 10 minutes before barging into his room.
“hey darling” he smiled seeing you there “are you okay? i saw what happened there with finn…i’m so glad damian was there to protect you” he was concerned.
“yeah i’m okay, thank you” you smiled “i loved your promo”
he was surprised but not that surprised “thank you” he always knew how much you struggled with words - preferring physical action instead of words - so he was happy to hear you say that “what do you think if we go back to the hotel? eating something and then sleeping? i’m busted” you nodded, wanting to be alone with drew as much as possible.
the ride took less than expected, your eyes darting between the soft rain outside and drew’s focused face as he drove.
“my room or yours?” he asked once you got into the hotel hall.
“yours” you didn’t know where that confidence came from and he was surprised as you were but he couldn’t say no to you so you both walked towards his room.
he gave you some of his clothes so you could change and be more comfortable and once food came, you both ate talking about the show. you could tell he was excited about bad blood too. and you hoped he could take home the victory, he wanted this feud with punk to be over and he wanted it to be over at bad blood.
after you were all done, full and satisfied with the amount of food drew got, you both comfortably laid on his bed, watching whatever show the tv was playing - not that you were paying attention to it.
“i’m proud of you” he broke the silence “the way you stood up in front of the man who hurt you, in front of finn…the fans don’t know what happened but i know, and i’m so proud of you” his smile was genuine. his words making you lean more into his touch as his hand was on your back.
“thank you” you whispered “it means a lot to me…” you looked up at him and saw his look moving between your lips and your eyes. you couldn’t wait anymore as you’ve been waiting impatiently all day long to be in his arms, so you lifted your head up and softly kissed his lips. you felt him smile into the kiss, his tongue teasing you.
“i can’t get you out of my head y/n…don’t know what spell you put on me” he whispered against your lips making you chuckle.
“a witch never tells her secrets” you teased him back, making him smile.
“i just love the taste of your lips on mine, the way your body fits perfectly into my hands, the way your skin feels against mine…you’re a good witch because i never want that spell to end” he teased one more time before diving his lips back onto yours.
in a swift move, he helped you sitting on his lap, so now your hands were both teasing his hair as his bigger ones moved to hold your hips down. few kisses turned into a full make out session and his warm hands started teasing the hem of his t-shirt that you were wearing. you felt his fingers over your skin, on your back, moving over your stomach and hips. the sudden sensation of his teeth biting your lower lip made you whimper in his mouth, grinding your hips lower, you accidentally brushed over his length. feeling him growing harder and fuller, drew softly moaned over your lips.
you took a few seconds to watch at him, his eyes closed as he was taking in everything that you were willing to give him.
“drew…” your soft voice called him.
he opened his eyes, looking at you with a smile on his face “tell me love…”
how were you going to tell him? you didn’t want to ruin the moment, everything was going well, everything was romantic and you didn’t want to set the mood off.
“well…” words caught in your mouth.
he took one look at you and realised what you were going to say “we don’t have to do anything if you don’t want to, i’m happy as long as you’re comfortable” his words were genuine and you found honesty in his voice.
your heart melted “i really wanna do it, but..i’ve never uhm, done it? i mean i did but at the same time i have not and i don’t know what i’m doing…” you blurted out panicking a little, making him laugh.
“shhh, it’s okay baby…i wanna take care of you and i’ll show you everything you want, i promise” you couldn’t believe how patient he was with you and you loved him even more “but not tonight baby…when you’re ready”
“okay…” you whispered, a soft smile on your face “but i really enjoy kissing you…”
your words made him laugh as he smiled into the kiss, gently laying his lips over yours again.
you knew you were safe with him and no matter what, he was going to be there for you.
your mind was too focused on bad blood, so maybe, after the event you would have experimented something with drew.
your only fear was - what if everything goes down? what if rhea loses? what if damian loses? what if drew loses? what if the events of that night were going to change your future forever?
✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨

sanji slow dancing with his spouse in the kitchen while their daughter giggles from the table <3
What a classic prompt, slow dances in the kitchen are just 🤌🏻 chefs kiss. I'll take a crack at it and try my best. It's a little short, but honestly, I tried to throw in Sanji, calling their daughter as many food nicknames as possible 💛🩵
You watched with humor as your husband tried to feed your daughter the food he had made. Of course, one of the best cooks in the East Blue, possibly the world, was trying to get your daughter, who was barely one, to eat this 5-star meal. 'Gotta make sure her food appreciation starts young!' Sanji had always explained. This time, he was trying to get her to eat the fried rice he'd always made for you. She was a little more interested in making a mess. Sanji was always patient, though.
"Come on sweet pea, just try a little," the blonde said, offering another baby spoonful. She took the spoon and dumped it on the tray of her high chair, to which Sanji chuckled in defeat.
"Alright, I'll have to keep trying with her," he said, taking a spoonful for himself. You chuckled and stood up, taking your empty plate with you as you tussled your daughter's blonde hair.
"You're doing a great job otherwise," you say, walking around behind Sanji, picking up empty dishes in front of him and pecking his cheek as you did.
"Thank you dear, I try," he swooned a little at your praise. You smiled as you walked over and set dishes in the sink, beginning to wash them.
"Oh, darling you don't have to wash those, I'll do it," he insisted, picking up the rest of the dishes.
"Sanji, you cooked, it's only fair that I clean," you protested. Before you could make another rebuttal, Sanji came up behind you and put the dishes he grabbed in the sink and pulled your hands away from them.
"Nonsense, Princess," he purred gently, making you blush as he twirled you around to face him, "You do so much already, it's the least I could do."
"Love, I am capable," you said, but he just shushed you, interlacing his fingers with his and putting his other hand on your waist, pulling you in close.
"I know, but you deserve a break." He said as you melted at his touch, putting your free hand on his shoulder. Music was still gently playing from the Transponder Snail on the kitchen counter, and you and Sanji began to absentmindedly sway to it.
"See? Isn't that nice?" Your husband smiled, raising a curly q brow.
"Alright, it is pretty nice," you admitted as the two of you slowly danced in your own kitchen. It had been a while since the two of you had danced in the kitchen, but that was way back when there was just the two of you. Sanji would teach you how to cook a dish before it turned into a playful little food fight. He used to sit you on the counter and get lost in your eyes while the two of you talked, or he’d forget he was cooking cause he was too focused on kissing you. Even with your daughter now added to your little family, Sanji was still very romantic with you.
“I'm pretty sure I’ve heard this song before,” You mumbled, head now laid on his chest.
“Me too, I think it was from when I first came over and treated you to dinner,” Sanji said, with a smile. “I remember it like it was yesterday..”
"Yeah… I still could've done dishes," you teased, looking up at him as he looked at you with a smile.
"Nonsense, I don't want you lifting a finger," he purred, slowly twirling you and pulling you back and down for a dip.
"Sanji!!" You squealed with a giggle as he planted kisses on your cheek. Your daughter began to giggle too, clapping her life hands at seeing her parents so happy with one another.
"See? My little creme brulee agrees," he laughed, pulling you up from the dip and back to facing him.
"As long as you're offering," you half joked as the two of you looked at your daughter, who was still giggling at the two of you.
“I am! You relax, I’ll keep an eye on our sugar cube,” He smiled, turning your chin towards him and giving you a soft kiss.
“I love you,” You sighed, you told him all the time, but you meant it like when you first told him.
“I love you too,” He grinned

꒰ ☕ ꒱ ┊: Appreciation
↳ Gun Park x FemReader
- His cold and intimidating demeanour is enough to have men bow down on their knees, he is feared by many, and a lot is out for his head, though behind the dark his loving passionate side is always shown to his partner in the home they share.
He doesn't hesitate to show how much he loves and cares for you in your bed and every corner of your house.
"F-fuck~..! Gun~...!" Your moans filled the room like sweet and tender melodies, Gun was thrusting himself in and out of your soaking pussy.
His cum and your juices were mixing inside of you as his dick reaked of pre-cum.
"Fuck... Keep taking every inch of me!" Gun grunted, it was a long week without sex with Gun, though no one expected it, he actually had quite a high sex drive.
You had made the mistake of telling him that you feel insecure because of your body and thoughts that you don't at all deserve him.
You've came on his cock three times in a row, and he didn't seem to have the plan on stopping any time soon.
After cumming once again, he carried you and made you stood in front of the mirror, his thrusts were slow and steady.
His hands held your haw and his lips came close to your ears, "Look at you... You're so fucking cute when you're being used like this, princess..." He said.
He then began to slowly thrust harder into your aching pussy, as he did, you let out sweet moans with every thrust.
"Fuck~... Tell me, princess, who do you belong to?" He said, "Y-You..." All you could do was mumble, it was hard to speak.
Gun frowned and thrusted harder, making you moan louder, "Come on, use your voice, my dear, who do you belong to?"
"You! I-I belong to you!" You cried out, Gun grinned and held your face, "Say that again, princess," he purred.
"I-... I belong to you."
"Fuck~... You're such a good girl~..." His hands then held both of your wrist and began to rock his hips in and out of your dripping pussy.
Your lips let out loud and tender moans as with every thrust you felt him hit your g spot.
He then looked at you in the mirror, a grin was printed on his face, "Look at you, darling, you look so fucking hot~..."
He then went faster and deeper inside, "A-ahh~... G-Gu—... Ng-ngh~...!" He chuckled and kept going the same pace, "Look at you, so cute and helpless... Now repeat after me, I'm your man."
"A-ahh~... Y-You're my man~..." You moaned, his cock kept gitting deep inside, "That's right~... Who do I belong to?"
"Ng-nguh~... Y-you belong t-to... Ahaa~... M-me~..."
Gun smirked and started to kiss your collarbone, he bit down on your skin leaving love marks.
"You look so cute like this, don't you enjoy seeing yourself get fucked by your man?"
Your eyes rolled back as he pounded inside of your dripping pussy, "G-Gun~... I'm getting close~..."
Gun grinned and held your face, he forced you to look in the mirror, "I want you to look at the face you make as you reach climax~..."
You couldn't resist, his words were so captivating that all you could do was obey.
Your eyes met your reflection, the look of Gun from behind, a hand placed on your hip and another was holding your face.
It was such a lewd sight, your skin clapping together, your moans, every sound mixed together.
As you got closer and closer to orgasm, your walls tightened around Gun's throbbing dick, he let out a groan and remained with the same pace.
"I want you to cum all over your man's cock, can you do that princess?"
You nodded to his question, in which he frowned, his right hand that was on your face was then on your hair, "Use your words~... If you don't, I'm afraid I'll have to stop, and you can kiss your orgasm goodbye."
You let out a whimper and he leaned closer to your ear, Gun looked at you from the mirror and smirked, "Now... Can you please cum all over my cock~..?"
Gun was pleading, it was whiny and it made you feel like something's tugging you in the stomach.
"Y-yes~... I-I'll cum all over you~.. a-ahh~..."
Gun smirked and gently tugged your hair, "Good girl~..." He then kept pounding in and out of your wet and slippery pussy, his cock twitched as your tight walls rubbed him.
After a while, your legs shook as you began to cum all over his dick, Gun groaned and released his load as well, "Fuck~... That's it, princess, just keep cumming all over me, this dick is all yours~..."
Gun paused for a while, he then slowly pulled out of your cum filled pussy and smiled, he made you look at the mirror once again, "You see this? Only I can make you feel like this... Only your man can please you as much as you deserve."
He then made you face him and placed a kiss on your forehead, "Never doubt my love for you, now let's go and bathe together."

this is a snippet from the famous dc! au that started with The Greatest Hits [read here] you don't have to read it but a lot of things would make sense if you do
THE GREATEST HITS - The talk show interview
"Alright please help me welcome my next guests. They were costars on the number one box office smash hit two years ago, and they did it again last year with their sequel. I think you might know them? Come on out guys!" The night show host says.
That was the cue. You and Jason walk out hand in hand to a bustling crowd. You see in the stands some people start to stand on their feet. And then sure enough they are all standing.
Jason and you wave to them as you take you seats and thank them for the appreciation. When the audience sits down is when you finally sit down. And Jason goes second because he waits for you to sit. The host, Hal, sits last.
"It's good to see the two of you." he says.
"yeah same." you smile.
"I see you like every other month because you're neighbors with my brother." Jason says.
The audience laughs at that. But he was telling the truth. Dick and Hal were neighbors in the same neighborhood.
"Okay first I have to ask, how's everything between the two of you?" Hal asks.
Jason looks over to you with a boyish grin, "Wanna tell him sweetheart?"
You nod along with a huge smile on your face.
"I don't know if you read Iris West Allen's new piece but we're not together anymore." you say.
The crowd goes painfully silent. You could hear a pin drop. You didn't want to keep them in suspense for too long though, they didn't deserve that. Jason stifles a laugh.
You raise your hand up and show off the tattooed band on your ring finger. The audience is slow to pick up on it. One person outright screams. And then a few others claps and soon enough everyone is clapping again.
You're about to put your hadn't down when Jason grabs your hand and places a soft kiss on your knuckles. The audience coos and so does Hal.
"Ah! oh my gosh you guys are so cute!" Hal yells.
Jason, who is now blushing, places his arm over the back of your chair. You lean back into your chair and onto his arm.
"So, what's the appetizers looking like? Do we know? I can't do shellfish so that's off the menu." Hal jokes.
You and Jason laugh, knowing that your invite list was longer than the coffee shop line at rush hour on Rodeo Drive. Hal would probably end up making the event if not as an invite then as someone's plus one.
"We need you actually to bring John and Kyle so yeah you can come." Jason jokes back.
Hal rolls his eyes, "Very funny. I have known you since you were in diapers."
"Everyone says that but I have yet to see a picture of said diapers." Jason quips.
The audience laughs at that. So do you. You look over at Jason with nothing but love in your eyes. You'd probably end up in an edit or a compilation somewhere. You couldn't really care that much.
Jason Todd is your favorite person to look at. He makes you smile and laugh and get hot in the chest and weak in the knees. All of it. And you can't believe he only wants to come home to you for the rest of forever.

✧Memories of us ✧ How we met
↳ Pairing: Jisung x Reader
❧ Genre : romance / smut /fluff / 1st love to strangers to lovers
❧ Summary: Sometimes memories are just that. Memories.
A series of drabbles about you and Jisung, about your love and your heartbreak and a second chance.
❧ A/N: Likes and reblogs are appreciated.
Masterlist / previous / next
If you had to describe your friendship with Jisung it would be love at first sight. Or more like friendship at first sight. He came like a damn hurricane in your life during one lunch break that you had to spend alone. Yunji was sick which left you alone, to suffer through the day, through boring classes. But you didn’t always mind the loneliness, in fact, sometimes you welcomed it with opened arms. Like today. You found the perfect spot to eat your homemade sandwiches and took the chance to pull out your sketchbook from your bag.
The weather was lovely, a light breeze brushing your hair every now and then. The flowers had fully bloomed, bathing in sun, the sight was perfect and you couldn’t help but draw what you saw. But your peaceful moment was quickly interrupted. Loud voices echoed from somewhere not far from you. You frowned and tried to ignore it, trying not to get bothered by it. Which was impossible.
“Come back here you little bitch!” A very loud and angry voice yelled, getting closer to you.
Why did they have to ruin such a peaceful moment? Everything was perfect, until it wasn’t. You glanced over your shoulder, trying to see who were the troublemakers and who deserved a very slow and painful death.
A guy ran past you, so fast you barely had time to see him. He was laughing, clearly amused with the situation and not scared for his life. Despite the moment being short, you recognized the guy as one of your classmate who always sat at the back of the classroom. The one that always looked bored, the one you caught sleeping in class few times. From outside, he looked exactly like the kind of guy you should avoid, and yet, his grades told you another story. He was good, a genius even.
‘What’s his name again?’ You wondered. You tried to remember all the names. You had a rather good memory but not when it came to names.
“You’re a dead man, Han Jisung!” The loud guy yelled again, getting closer to you.
Ah! Right. Your eyes darted back and forth between Jisung and the other guy. You didn’t know what Jisung had done to anger this guy but they were being unnecessary loud, disturbing your peace.
You sighed, your decision made. The moment the angry guy was close enough, you outstretched your foot. Too angry and too concentrated on Jisung, he missed your foot and fell with a loud, and very unmanly, shriek.
“Oops. My bad.” You feigned innocence.
Maybe a tiny part of you felt sorry for him and worried that he had hurt himself. But just a tiny part. You looked down at him, shook your head in disappointment; you couldn’t go back to your drawing now.
Jisung halted in his track, surprised with the sudden noise coming from behind him. He tilted his head to the side, taken aback and a little curious of the sight. Doyun was lying and whimpering on the floor while you stood, hands on your hips, hovering over him. He recognized you instantly; the quiet girl who apparently wasn’t so quiet and definitely not gentle after all.
To say that Jisung was impressed would be an understatement. He whistled and clapped his hands. You thought that there was definitely something wrong with him - until your eyes locked. You couldn’t be sure what he thought and what he felt right at that moment, but you, you thought he had the brightest smile and the prettiest eyes you had ever seen.
“Thank you.” Jisung said, grin so wide. “My angel.”

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
“Happy birthday, boss lady!” Elide cheered, pulling the blindfold from Aelin’s eyes with a flourish. “You can’t run back to your apartment now, so sit on down and enjoy a dinner that you aren’t paying for.”
“You’re the worst best friend, El,” Aelin complained, but she was beaming. “I thought I specifically told you nothing over-the-top.”
Elide shrugged. “You don’t turn twenty-seven every day, Ae, and it’s about damn time you took an evening off. Plus, Aedion would be griping all night if he got dragged out of work for you not to show up.” She wrapped her arms around the taller woman. “Happy birthday.”
“Fine, fine.” Aelin hugged her second-in-command fiercely. “Thanks, El.”
Gavriel was next in line, his hug stealing her breath. “Happy birthday, Aelin. Though I think I’m the one who deserves a present for getting my son here.”
She snickered. “I’ll buy you a drink or something. Thank you for being here.”
“Anytime.” He flashed her a cunning little grin. “I’d never miss a chance to see my beautiful, sharp-witted niece turn my best lieutenant into a tongue-tied mess.”
“Gav!” She swatted his shoulder. “You’re more meddling than Elide, Lys, and Ansel all together, I swear.” He just smirked and returned to his seat, leaving her to be swallowed up by Aedion’s embrace.
“I don’t think I’ve seen you without your lab coat in years, Aedy,” she teased.
“Shut up,” he grumbled. “It’s a special occasion.”
“Mhmmm,” she hummed, wiggling her eyebrows suggestively at Lysandra.
Aedion blushed an endearing shade of pink. “So what if we happen to sit next to each other? It’s a private party, little miss birthday girl.”
“Not that private,” she snickered, dodging his outraged squawk and smack. “Love you too, Aeds.”
“You’re the worst.” He groaned, but he was grinning.
Lysandra raised a perfectly threaded brow. “Do I want to know what that was about?”
“You’ll find out soon enough.” Aelin smirked. “What? My birthday present can be you and Aedy fu—”
“No!” Lys clapped her hand over Aelin’s mouth. “If you get to say things like that, then I get to ask you when you and Whitethorn are going to bang. If you haven’t already.” It was her turn to wiggle her eyebrows.
Aelin’s face heated. “Pretend I never said anything.”
“That’s my birthday bad bitch.” Lys adjusted one of Aelin’s curls. “Now go say hi to the man who hasn’t taken his smitten eyes off you since you walked in here in a dress to bring him to his knees.” She patted Aelin’s ass as she walked away.
Aelin breathed deeply, closing her eyes for a few seconds.
“Done with the party already?” Rowan’s voice broke her out of her snatch of silence. “We can probably sneak out the staff door.”
“Don’t tempt me,” she replied, finally meeting his appreciative gaze. “Hi, Ro.”
“Hi.” His eyes trailed down her body, admiration lighting his face at the way her tailored gold sheath dress molded to every angle and curve of her frame. “That is one hell of a dress, Ae.”
“Thanks.” Just to tease him, she did a slow spin, reveling in his sharp gasp as he drank in the deep V-cut of the back that highlighted the ink flowing down her spine.
“I didn’t know you had a spine piece,” he said in a soft, gravelly rasp.
A dangerously lazy smile curved across her maroon-stained lips. “I keep it hidden while I’m at work. Professionalism and all that.”
“Oh, you mean the fire-breathing dragon screaming up your spine isn’t professional?” He chuckled. “It’s…incredible. Where’d you get it done?”
“I know a guy,” she said, deliberately cryptic.
He bit back a sigh. “Does this guy have a name and a place of work?”
“Don’t tell me you’re going to arrest my tattoo artist for touching my back with my full consent while he did my tattoo.”
“I’m not.” A grin flashed across his face. “I’m just going to make him squirm a little.”
She chuckled. “You’re impossible. How about we make a deal? You overlook the simple reality that someone had to give me this tattoo, and you can see how lovely of a contrast it makes with my sheets.”
Rowan inhaled sharply, dark flames smoldering in his eyes. “The tattoo, or that dress?”
“I prefer not to wear clothes when I’m in my bed.” She smirked. “Don’t just stand there gasping like a fish, Ro. Escort me to dinner like the gentleman Uncle Gav thinks you are.”
“I think you’ll find that I’m not much of a gentleman, Ae.” His hand landed on the small of her back, its heat rippling deliciously up her spine.
“Good.” She lowered her voice to a whisper only he could hear. “Because I like it rough.”
~
Aelin barely had a chance to say goodbye to everyone after the absolutely delicious dinner, because Lysandra, Ansel, and Elide clustered around her as soon as she left the bathroom, shepherding her out the door and down the street. She only managed to wave to Rowan as she left, certain that she’d find more than one message from him waiting on her phone when she was able to look at it.
With Elide on one arm and Ansel on the other, Aelin found herself squeezed into an inescapable sandwich of her closest girls, and although she pretended to groan when Lysandra, three steps ahead, pulled open the door to the Vaults, a popular bar, she was beaming.
“Do you really think it’s the best idea to get drunk on a Tuesday?” she called over the thumping beat of the music pouring through the surround-sound speaker system.
Lys rolled her eyes. “It’s your birthday, bitch! You can decide tomorrow is a remote workday!”
“Shots!” Elide squealed, flagging down the closest bartender and rapidly ordering a whole string of drinks. “I’ve got this round, ladies.”
“I’m scared,” Aelin teased, sliding into the closest open booth. “If Ells is buying, I might just pass out now.”
“Fuck off,” Elide laughed, smacking Aelin’s shoulder. “We both know you’re only going to drink enough to get yourself ready to go jump on Whitethorn’s di—”
“Stop!” Aelin squawked, clamping her hand over Elide’s mouth. She composed herself and winked wickedly at the petite woman. “I don’t need liquid courage to do that, Ells.”
“My gods, you are the worst.” Ansel groaned dramatically. “Add that to the list of things your lawyer should never hear.”
“Thought you weren’t my lawyer for tonight,” Aelin shot back, grinning.
The redhead laughed. “Fair enough. Ooh, the drinks are here!” She took the tray from the bartender and passed the cocktails and shot glasses around the table. “Cheers, birthday girl!”
Aelin clinked her shot with the girls and tossed it back effortlessly, only grimacing a little bit at the burn of straight vodka. “Fuck, El! A little warning next time?”
Elide snickered gleefully. “Why?” The song changed, and she perked up, clapping. “I love this song!” She took a long pull of her cocktail, draining nearly half of it, and grabbed Aelin’s hand. “Come on, birthday bitch! We’re dancing!” She tugged Aelin out onto the crowded dancefloor without waiting for her to protest.
“You’re lucky I have alcohol in me,” Aelin giggled as she wedged herself into the sea of swaying bodies next to Elide. “God, I missed being able to do this.”
“All the more reason to—ah shit. Behind you, Ae.”
“What?” Aelin turned, following Elide’s dark brown glare, and found, to her unpleasant surprise, a rather drunk Sam Cortland less than two feet away. Burning hell.
“Hey,” Sam called over the music, surprisingly coherent for the glassiness of his eyes. “Wasn’t expecting to see you here.”
“Because the stick up my ass is too big?” Aelin asked sweetly.
Sam coughed. “Well, um, because you—because it’s a Tuesday?”
“Liar.” She snorted. “A woman is allowed to go out on her birthday, y’know.”
“Happy bir’day,” he offered, trying his best to disguise his sneer.
“I’d say thanks, but you don’t really deserve my manners.” She flashed him an angelically sweet grin. “Fuck off, Cortland.”
“Bitch,” he grunted.
Aelin’s eyes flashed with a dangerous gleam. “What was that?”
Elide grabbed her arm. “Don’t you fucking dare,” she hissed, her command cutting through Aelin’s alcohol-loosened fury. “He’s not worth it, and you’re Aelin right now.”
Aelin blinked, snapping herself out of the thoughts of violence. “Right. Okay.” She turned her back to Sam—who had wisely chosen to slither away, hopefully leaving the bar—just in time for Ansel and Lys to appear with more shots, these ones electric blue.
“Cheers!” Lys yelled, tapping her small glass to Aelin’s and throwing back the shot. Aelin laughed and followed suit, exhaling sharply at the strength of the tiny glass of alcohol.
“Lyssie, if I’m hungover tomorrow, I’m blaming you!”
“Oh, calm down,” Lys snickered. “It won’t knock you out.”
Aelin snorted in disbelief, then caught Lys’s arm before she could head back to the bar. “It’s our song, Lys! C’mon, dance!”
Lys laughed and jumped into the knot of dancers, shaking her hips the way she used to back in college when she and Aelin would hit five different bars a night on the weekends. “Still got it!”
After so many songs that Aelin’s feet were starting to cramp, the women finally half-stumbled off the dance floor and headed out of the bar, gulping down the fresh night air as they stepped out into the street.
“Fuck, it gets so stuffy in there,” Aelin complained. She shivered. “And it’s cold!”
“It is not, you little wimp,” Ansel said, poking Aelin in the side. “You just wish that man of yours was here to whip his jacket around you like a gentleman.”
“Mmm, I wouldn’t mind that,” Aelin hummed, smirking wickedly. “You know what happens after a man gives you his jacket.”
“You are the worst.” Ansel shoved her lightly. “Again, things you should never fucking ever tell your lawyer: whose bones you plan to jump.”
“If I make it home,” Aelin grumbled.
“You ladies need a ride home?” Out of nowhere, Sam Cortland appeared in front of them, his eyes still glassy with alcohol haze and an oily smirk painted across his face.
“Fuck off, Cortland,” Elide retorted, folding her arms across her chest. “You aren’t anywhere near fit to drive, anyway.”
“And I wouldn’t willingly get into a car with you if it was the last option on Earth,” Aelin added.
Sam scowled. “Have it your way, then.” He stalked off, heading down the nearby alley. “Fuckin’ whore,” he muttered, thinking he was far enough away for her not to hear.
She heard. And she followed him, her heels clicking with dangerous precision against the sidewalk. “Want to repeat that, scumbag?”
He stopped, whirled around, and apparently decided he had a death wish. “I said, you’re a fucking whore.”
Her fist smashed into his smug little grin with an immensely satisfying crunch. “Take that, you sleazy bastard,” she growled.
Sam screeched, pressed his hands into his rapidly swelling face, and moaned pitifully. “You bit–”
She kneed him in the groin, and when he doubled over, whimpering, she slammed her knee into the side of his head. His eyes rolled back, and he slumped to the ground, unconscious. She and Elide—who had followed her, of course— maneuvered his limp, unresisting body into the shadows of the alley and left him there.
“No, Aelin, you can’t kill him yet,” Elide reminded her, catching the taller woman’s wrist.
Aelin sighed dramatically. “But it’s my birthday!”
“So what?”
“So no murder in plain sight.” Ansel cut in.
“You’re no fun,” Aelin sighed. “Fine.” She delivered one last kick to Sam’s groin. “I wonder if he felt that.”
Elide snorted. “And this is where I drag you off before you ruin your life by being hauled off to jail on your birthday.” Wrapping one arm around Aelin’s waist, she directed her back onto the sidewalk and away from the shadowy alleyway. “How about we finish the night at your place?”
Aelin perked up. “I’ll make margaritas!”
She was ordering an Uber before Elide could protest that they’d all already drunk half their body mass in alcohol that night.
Just birthday girl things.
Kaltain Rompier tapped her black acrylic nails against her iPad screen, idly waiting for the guy who’d texted her last night (after weeks of absolute silence) to show up. He said he’d be there right at eleven, and it was almost at the point where she was about to leave.
“Shit, sorry I’m late.” Sam Cortland dropped into the seat opposite hers as her office door closed with a soft click. “Didn’t get out of the damn meeting until ten minutes ago.”
“Mhmm, right, I forgot how important you businessmen were.” Her reply was acerbic.
He sighed, sheepish. “I’m really sorry, Kal.”
“How many times do I have to tell you not to call me that?” She picked up her stylus pencil and tapped it against the blank screen. “You’re here to give me a story, Cortland.” She glanced at him, noticing for the first time since he’d rushed into her office that he looked a good deal worse for wear. “Does your story have anything to do with the fact that you look like shit?”
“It’s because Aelin fucking punched me,” he griped.
Kaltain’s brows shot up. “Aelin…Galathynius?”
“Yeah.” Sam scoffed. “Dressed up like a fuckin’ slut last night. I ran into her at a bar; she was out with some people I didn’t recognize, and when I tried to buy her a drink, she laughed in my face.”
“Laughing doesn’t leave black eyes, Cortland,” Kaltain returned dryly.
“I haven’t got to the part where she punched me.” He scowled, the aggrieved expression drawing attention to the vivid bruising encircling his right eye and the scattered smaller bruises and little flecks of scratches on his face. “I left the damn bar before she did, ended up taking a call outside the place, and I was there when she and her friends left, all drunk and stumbling. So I did what any decent guy would do and offered to drive them home, and Aelin punched me in the goddamn face.” He was practically raving by the end of his little rant.
“You offered to drive Aelin Galathynius home?” Kaltain repeated, stylus flying over her iPad as she took notes. She chuckled. “Cortland, the woman probably has more than one driver. Not to mention that by all accounts, she’s so not interested in you that she bought your company.”
He shrugged. “Sounds like interest to me.”
“Yeah, for her bank account,” she snorted. “Anything else for the story, Cortland?”
“Just that I woke up in a goddamn alley like this.” His frown dug a deep groove between his eyebrows. “That bitch.”
“If you don’t have anything else for the story, get the hell out.” Kaltain set down her stylus, got up, and opened the door. “We’re not spending any more time together, or did you not mean it that way?” Her saccharine smile made Sam cringe.
“Kal–I–I didn’t–”
“Yes you did.” She pointed out into the hallway. “You’ve given me a good story, Cortland. Now get your fancy little ass back to Daddy’s office.” Pissed, Sam roughly stood up and stalked out of her office, muttering something about stupid bitch under his breath.
She almost pitied the man. Someday, his misogyny would get him into a tight little corner that he couldn’t crawl his way out of. But there was a column waiting to be written—a particularly sordid one, just what the public was craving—and she couldn’t let his chauvinism get in the way of her job.
The article dropped late that afternoon, and Kaltain came into work the next morning still grinning, still riding the high of an instantly viral article. Maybe being a gossip columnist wasn’t always the most rewarding job, but the times when she got to see her work splashed all over the internet were…euphoric. The short hallway leading to her office was quiet, as usual, and she was buried so far in the notifications she hadn’t read that she didn’t notice that the whole floor was also quiet.
Only when she strolled into her office and dropped her shoulder bag into someone else’s lap did she realize that she wasn’t alone.
“Good morning, Miss Rompier.” The voice was female, throaty, slightly raspy, and utterly devoid of pleasantry.
Slowly, Kaltain dragged her gaze from her desk to the lean, masked and hooded, black-clad figure lounging in the other chair, black combat boots propped carelessly on the low bookshelf beside the desk. “What is this? Who are you?” Instinctively, she reached for her belt, where she always kept a tiny can of pepper spray.
“Not so fast, Miss Rompier.” The masked woman lifted her chin, and Kaltain felt a hard, heavy hand close around her wrists in a vice-like grip. “We’re going to have a little chat about the article you just posted.”
“I–” Before Kaltain could protest, a needle pricked at the back of her neck, and everything faded to black.
~
She awoke in a dimly lit room that smelled faintly of mildew, sitting in a wooden chair with her hands bound behind her back. Her head throbbed, her neck was stiff, and her heartbeat raced with adrenaline and terror. Where the hell was she?
“Good to see you awake, Miss Rompier.” The woman who’d had her drugged and kidnapped sat across from her, the dim overhead light throwing shadows across her still-masked face.
“Who the hell are you?” Kaltain snapped.
The woman chuckled softly, a lethal, raspy breath that sent ominous shivers down Kaltain’s spine. “My name is Celaena.”
Fuck. “And why do you give a shit if one of those filthy rich people you supposedly hate is featured in one of my columns, Celaena?”
“Because it’s not time for that quite yet.” Celaena clicked her tongue. “Don’t ask questions you don’t actually want answered, Miss Rompier. Aelin Galathynius needs to stay out of the tabloids for now, but…” She trailed off, absentmindedly dancing a throwing star across her gloved knuckles. “But I rather liked how you didn’t hesitate to drag her through the muck.”
“What does that have to do with anything?” Kaltain shot back, feeling defensive.
“It means that when it’s time, I want you to publish every dirty little detail that I send you.”
Kaltain narrowed her eyes, still suspicious. “You’re taking down Galathynius?”
Celaena shrugged. “Again, don’t ask questions you don’t want answered. The wrong things could get you killed, Miss Rompier.” She leaned in close enough for Kaltain to see the glint of steel hiding beneath her sleeves. “I wasn’t planning to kill you, but I’m not afraid to do it.”
“You–you’ll send me everything you want published?”
“Every single sordid detail.”
Slowly, Kaltain nodded. “Alright. What do you want me to do now?”
~
“All of them?” Rowan dropped his blue-light glasses on his desk and pinched the bridge of his nose in a feeble attempt to stave off the headache.
“All of them, sir,” Luca confirmed. “Three years of tabloid history wiped clean, and it appears that practically every mention of the recent Galathynius article is being scrubbed from the internet.”
“How the fuck is that happening?” Rowan demanded. “The damn column should have left such a large footprint by now that we’d be able to find it even though the original publisher took it down.”
Luca chewed his lower lip. “I…I don’t know, sir.”
Rowan swore viciously under his breath. “Get me Kaltain Rompier’s address, Luca.”
“One sec.” Luca rapidly typed something into his laptop, then scribbled down a few words on a plain yellow sticky note. “Here you go.”
“Thanks.” Rowan grabbed the note, threw his jacket over his shoulder, snatched his keys from the wall, and strode out to the garage. His mind was whirling with a hundred different theories about why the viral gossip article about Aelin Galathynius’s recent, rather colorful, night out had abruptly vanished from the internet, along with the last three years of the columnist’s history.
Half-baked ideas churned through his brain with dizzying speed, and Kaltain Rompier was a crucial part of all of them.
Within twenty minutes, he had pulled up to the building where Kaltain worked, parked in a visitor spot, and made sure his badge was easily visible. He strode into the office, took the elevator to the floor where her tabloid was located, and pushed open the front doors with little effort.
“I’d like a few minutes to speak to Kaltain, please,” he said to the young woman at the front desk.
The young woman’s huge blue eyes grew wider, and her hand trembled as she pointed wordlessly down the hall. “Th–that way, Officer.”
“Thank you.” He knew he was being a dick, but he headed away without saying anything else.
Kaltain Rompier was sitting at her desk typing away on her laptop when he knocked twice at the half-open door and let himself in.
She muffled a shriek, hands flying to her throat. “What the hell?!”
Rowan raised his empty hands in a show of approachability. “Kaltain Rompier?”
The columnist slowly sank back into her seat. “That’s me.” She eyed him suspiciously. “Are you going to tell me why the goddamn cops are here?”
“It’s just me.” He sat down in the chair opposite hers. “I have a couple of questions about your most recent article, if you don’t mind.”
Her expression shuttered. “I took it down, Mr…what should I call you?”
“‘Lieutenant’ is fine. I’m not police, I’m TSF.”
She nodded. “I took down the article, Lieutenant.”
“Why?” He leaned slightly forward, waiting for an answer to the question that had plagued him ever since PD had received notice that Kaltain had gone missing. That was five days ago. He’d feared that there would be another victim in the never-ending string of homicides, but she was sitting there in front of him, alive and well if a little shaken from his sudden appearance in her office.
“It was…” Kaltain sighed. “I’m a gossip columnist, Lieutenant, which means that my job is to dig up people’s dirty little secrets and make them public. I’ve never seen the true ugliness of it until I wrote that piece on Aelin Galathynius and instantly hated myself.”
Rowan blinked. “You wrote a tabloid article on Aelin Galathynius, based on whatever source you could find, and that made you…guilty?”
“It made me realize how awful the tabloid industry is,” Kaltain murmured. “It’s not like I haven’t seen the tabloids about Ms. Galathynius that have floated around, but she’s so…so highly regarded, and the tabloids have always been obviously contrived. What I wrote…it wasn’t.”
“What was your source?”
“Sam Cortland,” she admitted.
Rowan froze, pieces clicking together before his eyes. “Who?”
“Sam Cortland of Cortland Advertising,” Kaltain repeated, a tinge of bitterness clouding her tone. “He showed up at my office with a hell of a black eye and a hell of a story, and I wrote and sold it without even thinking until it was done.”
“I see.” Closing his notepad, Rowan stood up. “Will you still be working here, or are you going to seek something else?”
“I’m trying to get a real journalist job,” the columnist replied. “I just…I don’t want to feel grimy like this all the time anymore.”
Rowan nodded. “Well, best of luck.” He moved towards the door. “One more thing. You were missing for several days, Miss Rompier. Why was that?”
“Family emergency,” she admitted, a haunted look flickering through her eyes. “I had a friend drive me to the airport. Didn’t trust myself to drive safely.”
“My apologies.” Rowan stepped out into the hallway. “Thanks for letting me drop in on you, Miss Rompier, and good luck with your job search.” With that, he left the office, got back in his cruiser, and headed back to PD with a whole new chunk of information ready to add to his theory.
Sam Cortland.
As much as Rowan wanted to deny the ease of the truth, it made so much sense. Cortland was a petty, unhappy little man who hadn’t taken well to Gal Inc. acquiring his family’s company, and while his father, the elder Cortland and current CEO of Cortland Advertising, was adjusted to the merger, Sam was not. Apparently, he’d deemed it best to go after Aelin like a jilted ex-lover–straight to the tabloids–in a vain attempt to see her thrown out of power and popularity.
It didn’t entirely explain why Kaltain (or someone else) had scrubbed the internet clean of all traces of her article, but it was a start. And if he was correct, Kaltain’s “family emergency” hadn’t been an emergency at all, but an intervention from a certain unseen criminal–the barely-noticeable needle mark on the side of her neck spoke of something other than running to the airport at the last minute.
It seemed that Celaena Sardothien had something to gain from Aelin’s current status, and she wasn’t afraid to resort to violence to keep her schemes running.
~
Aelin swept one final gaze over her reflection in the full-length mirror mounted on the far wall of her expansive walk-in closet and nodded in satisfaction. Her dress–a casual but classy cap-sleeved sheath of powder-green linen that was perfect for the balmy spring evening–flowed gracefully down the lines and curves of her figure, her light makeup masked the dark shadows smeared beneath her eyes, and her hair was half-up in a wooden clip, the rest cascading in tamed waves down her back. Beige, wedge-heeled sandals added a few extra inches to her height (and cleverly concealed a pair of flat little knives), and a matching beige handbag completed the look.
If she’d agonized over every little detail of this outfit and this night for the last two weeks, it was only because she wanted to properly impress the man who should be about to knock on her door. It had nothing whatsoever to do with the increasingly filthy dreams she’d been having–featuring that very man–nor what she did when she awoke from those dreams.
As if her wandering thoughts had summoned the man, he knocked three times on her door, three firm, authoritative thuds of his fist against the thick, lacquered oak front door, and—though she would never admit it—the scrap of lace between her thighs dampened.
“You aren’t working right now, Lieutenant,” she teased as she opened the door, a grin unfolding across her face as she watched his face flicker through shock, nervousness, and anticipation.
“You’ll forgive me if it’s hard to get out of the work habits, Miss CEO,” he returned, emerald eyes glinting with humor.
“Fair enough.” She stepped backwards into her apartment. “Welcome to my humble dwelling, Rowan.”
“Humble,” he echoed, both incredulous and teasing. “This place’s rent probably costs more than my mortgage.”
Aelin flashed him a grin. “What good is my career if I can’t afford a comfortable place to live and still have some left to donate?”
“You donate?”
“I thought we’d established you weren’t working, Ro.”
He chuckled. “I’m…call it a first-date question or something. I didn’t expect you to say that.”
“Not many do,” she admitted, shifting her gaze out the window, where Orynth’s skyline was washed in gold and copper by the setting sun. “But nothing gives me more genuine pleasure than seeing the faces of every child who gets to go to school because I make more money than I can possibly spend.”
“You set up a foundation?”
“Have you heard of the Fireheart Foundation?”
Rowan’s face slackened in appreciative shock. “That’s you?”
“Well, my parents started it—‘Fireheart’ was Dad’s nickname for Mom—and I continue their legacy.” A soft flush crept up her cheeks, heating her face. “It’s not that big of a deal, Ro.” She glanced at the clock on the wall. “And you distracted me so much that it’s after seven-thirty.”
“Hmm, we’d better get going, then. And by the way, it is a big deal, but I won’t bother you with that if you don’t want me to.” Easily, naturally, he laced his fingers with hers, and led her out into the hall, waiting for her to lock her door. “Close your eyes, Ae.”
“In my building?”
“Fine, as soon as we get to the car.” He pretended to sigh at her good-natured giggle.
As she clicked her seatbelt into place, she snickered. “Is it bad that I’m thinking this is some elaborate scheme to kidnap me?”
“I’m offended!” he gasped, mock-theatrical. “I’m the guy who rescues you from the big bad kidnapper, Ae, not the big bad kidnapper himself.”
“You can be the big bad something else,” she mumbled, just loud enough for him to hear.
He spluttered out a cough, his tan cheeks flaring scarlet. “Aelin!”
She just smirked. “You heard me, darling.”
“Dinner first,” he grunted, his voice more raspy than he probably intended. He managed to compose himself, and he shot her a blazingly hot gaze in the rearview mirror as he backed out of the parking garage and drove into downtown Orynth. “Then I’ll give you big bad something.”
“We’ll see about that,” she purred, her voice like silk and sin. Then she closed her eyes, smothering a wicked little chuckle that rose in her at his frustrated, half-strangled exhale.
About thirty minutes later, he stopped. “Open your eyes, Ae.”
She did. “East Orynth Sporting Range? Are you sure this isn’t a kidnapping scheme, Lieutenant?”
“Funny,” he deadpanned, hurrying around the car to open her door for her. “Have you ever done archery before, Miss Galathynius?”
“Drop the title, Lieutenant, and yes. I took lessons when I was younger—you know, like a good little rich girl.”
“Let’s see how well this good little rich girl can still shoot, then,” he murmured, the low rumble of his words dancing deliciously down her spine.
“If I miss every target, I’m blaming the lack of flexibility…in the bow, of course.” She laughed softly at his muted blush. “Maybe you’ll have to come stand behind me and guide my position.”
“Oh, I’ll guide your position, alright,” he agreed, the simmering heat of his gaze searing right through the soft linen of her dress.
“Only if necessary,” she said, taking his hand as they walked up to the entrance. Like the gentleman he was, he held the door open for her. “Thank you, Ro.”
“Anytime.” He strolled up to the check-in desk and waved at the middle-aged woman sitting at the counter. “Hey, Philippa!”
The woman’s kind face split into a crinkled, joyful smile. “Rowan Whitethorn! I haven’t seen you in years, you little troublemaker!”
“He’s a grown-up troublemaker now,” Aelin joked.
Philippa’s smile widened as she took in Aelin’s appearance and closeness to Rowan. “And who might this be, Rowan? She’s far out of your league, that I can tell.”
“This is Miss Aelin Galathynius,” Rowan said.
Philippa reached across the counter and squeezed Aelin’s hands. “Lovely to meet you.”
“The pleasure is all mine.” Aelin beamed at the maternal-looking woman. “Tell me, has Rowan really been coming here since he was a mischievous little scamp?”
“I still remember him being dragged away from the rock wall,” Philippa said, eyes twinkling.
Rowan sighed. “I suppose I’ll just go to the range while you spill all my life’s secrets, hmm?”
“I would never miss a chance to show off my little-rich-girl tricks,” Aelin returned. “Shall we?”
Philippa passed a clipboard across the desk. “Sign this, both of you, and then go on ahead. Rowan, you can show Miss Aelin everything; you know where it all is.”
Aelin signed and passed Rowan the clipboard, and he signed and handed it back to Philippa. “I’d be happy to. Thanks, Philippa.”
“Enjoy!” the older woman called, waving as the pair headed for the equipment room.
Rowan’s hand shifted to the small of Aelin’s back. “We have the range to ourselves for an hour; I convinced Philippa to let us in during what’s usually janitorial hours. Don’t worry, they don’t actually clean right now. They just use it as a built-in break.”
“How clever,” Aelin mused. “I…oh, wow!” She turned in a slow circle, sweeping her eyes over every piece of equipment that lined the neatly organized racks and walls of the equipment room. “Why didn’t my parents send me here?”
“Too afraid you’d never leave?” Rowan teased.
She swatted his shoulder playfully. “You think you’re so funny.”
“We’ll see who’s laughing when you shoot the floor.” His eyes glittered with challenge.
Aelin cracked her knuckles. “Bring it on, Robin Hood.” She perused the racks of bows, testing a few before settling on a lightweight but sturdy fiberglass recurve bow. She slung a quiver of the range’s standard blunt practice arrows over her shoulder and joined Rowan, quelling the surge of lust that flared between her legs at the sight of him with a bow slung over his shoulder.
“Satisfied with your choice, Ae?”
“Unless it performs poorly, I am.” She winked, dropping her gaze for a brief moment.
“I’ll show you poor performance,” he all but growled, leading the way into the range.
The expansive, high-ceilinged space stretched from one end of the long building to the other, with several rows of targets lined up at various distances across the turf-floored expanse. There were lines of chalk painted onto the turf, indicating where archers of different ages and heights should stand. Overhead fans blew with a low mechanical whirr, circulating the faint odor of leather and resin through the air.
Confidently, Rowan took a stance at one of the white lines, nocked an arrow, aimed his bow, took a breath, and released the arrow on the exhale. It sliced cleanly through the air and embedded itself in the tiny red bulls-eye of one of the mid-distance targets.
Aelin whistled. “Impressive.” She took her own stance three spaces away from him. “I’d tell you what that sight did to me, but then we’d never make it out of here.”
His next shot, which he’d been releasing as she spoke, shuddered and went wide, landing in an outer ring of the target. “Distraction is a cheap trick, Ae.”
“Who said this was a competition?” With a sweet smile, she shook out her arms and legs, planted her feet in a stance that her muscles had never fully forgotten—hell, who was she kidding? She’d maintained that skill, and it had come in handy more than once as she built the Boss’s empire—fitted an arrow to the taut string of her bow, aimed, and let it fly. The arrow whistled through the air and thudded cleanly into her target, exactly where she had aimed.
“Maybe it really has been too long,” Rowan teased, amusement crinkling the corners of his eyes as he looked at where her arrow had landed.
Smack dab in the middle of the wooden crossbeam from which the target hung.
“Aim a little lower next time, love,” he said, low and slow.
“Wouldn’t you like that,” she returned, a slow smirk curling her lips. She nocked another arrow and aimed again, fired on the exhale, and sent the arrow slicing straight into the bulls-eye of the target in the row behind the one she’d just shot into.
Rowan whistled in admiration. “How about a contest, Ae? A real one?” She raised her eyebrows in interest, and he continued. “We take turns picking targets, the one who’s closest gets the point, and whoever has more points at the end wins.”
“And what’s the prize?”
“Loser buys dinner.”
“That’s boring.” Her eyes sparkled with eager challenge. “If you win, you get to see what’s under this dress. Or not under it.”
He inhaled and exhaled slowly. Very slowly. “If you win, I’ll show you what you missed when you left me hard and leaking in that damn hallway at your gala.”
“Deal.” She held out her hand, he clasped it, and they shook hands, the warm heaviness of their contest settling between them with no small amount of tension. “You are going down, darling.”
“If I’m lucky, that’ll only be the beginning.” He smirked at her soft gasp. “Can’t wait to hear that sound again, love.”
“You wish.” She rolled her shoulders. “First target: the bulls-eye of that second-to-last target.” In one fluid motion, she nocked, aimed, and fired, and her arrow speared clean through the bulls-eye she’d pointed at.
Rowan whistled. “Haven’t practiced archery since you were a kid, my ass.”
“You do have a rather fine one,” she said lightly, snickering at his flustered cough.
“If you’re trying to distract me, try again.” Confidently—and dear god, the things that confidence did to her—he fired an arrow, sending it into the exact same spot she had hit. “Looks like it’s my turn to pick a target.”
“Choose wisely.”
His smirk was edged with something wild and challenging and deliciously dangerous. “Bottom left corner of the target at the hundred-meter line. Not the outer ring, the bottom left corner.” He rolled his shoulders, carefully aimed, exhaled, and released his arrow. It sang through the air and embedded into the lower left corner of the farthest target with a muted thunk.
“Impressive,” Aelin hummed. Narrowing her eyes, she carefully aimed, ignoring the sights on the bow and using her instinct to push her bow just a fraction to the right.
“You sure about that position?” Without warning, Rowan stepped up behind her and settled his hands onto her hips. “Looks like you’re aiming too far right, darling.”
She stifled the delightful tremor that shuddered through her at his closeness. “I know the path of my shots, Lieutenant.” With a bright smile, she loosed her arrow, which whistled through the air and cleanly skewered the lower left corner of the hundred-meter-away target, a good inch and a half closer to the juncture of the corner than his shot had been.
He inhaled sharply and stepped back just a smidge, but not before she’d felt the thick, hard evidence of what her shot had done to him. “I’ll have to pick a more difficult target,” he said, though there was no small amount of admiration in his voice. “Your turn.”
Aelin swept her gaze around the range, a wicked grin lifting her lips as she settled on a target. “See that target hanging up on the far wall?”
“Mhmm.” He moved to her side, sharp gaze calculating the distance. “That has to be two hundred, maybe two hundred fifty meters away.”
“There’s a chain at the top that anchors that target to the wall, which has to be padded for safety. Our target is the top link of that chain—land your shot through the chain so it goes into the wall padding.”
He stared at her in shock. “Are you insane?”
“Maybe.” She winked. “Why, are you afraid you can’t make it?”
“Why don’t you let me take the first shot to prove that I’m not afraid of anything?”
“If you want.” She stepped aside. “All yours, big boy.”
“Say that again.” His voice was a soft, gravelly rumble, laced with the kind of command that she’d only ever dreamed of hearing.
Rather than give into her fantasies and jump him right then and there, Aelin just smirked. “Make that shot, and I’ll say it again.”
“Fuck,” he murmured, mostly under his breath. He took his time lining up his shot, carefully aiming just a few inches too high to compensate for the arc the arrow would take at such a long distance. Finally, he drew back his arrow and let it fly, watching it like a hawk as it sliced through the faintly stale air of the range. The arrow arced up, then gently down, and landed with a clean thud three inches to the right of the chain suspending the target from the wall. He grinned, proud that he’d managed to get so close to the almost-impossible target. “Beat that shot, darling.”
She stepped up to the shooting line and rolled out her neck. “Let’s hope I can live up to the way I felt when I picked this target.” She took a good minute to line up her shot, her brows furrowed in deep concentration. After settling on her aim, she pulled back her arrow, took a deep breath, and released on the exhale. Her arrow whistled across the distance in a precise, beautiful arc and skewered through the second-highest link of the chain holding up the target on the far wall.
Rowan’s jaw gaped in complete shock, his eyes wide with incredulity.
Aelin sucked in a gasp, her eyes going wide as she realized that she’d made the shot. Two thoughts raced through her mind—one being fuck, what if he starts suspecting me now? and the other being I can’t fucking believe I made that shot!
“If I didn’t know any better, I’d suspect you of being some kind of archery master,” he said, unabashed appreciation replacing the shock written all over his face. “That was fucking insane, Ae.”
She laughed quietly, still stunned herself. “I honestly don’t know how in the hell I made that.”
“I think that makes you the winner.” He looped his free arm around her waist. “And I recall something about the loser buying dinner.”
“And dessert,” she added, leaning into his side and looking up at him through half-lidded eyes.
~
Their exit from the archery range was a blur of rapid motion and badly concealed desire, and she only blinked back into reality when they climbed into the backseat of his car and he practically lunged across the small distance between them and crashed his lips into hers.
She threaded her fingers into his hair and angled his head to deepen the kiss, her tongue tangling with his. A soft moan broke free from her throat, and he groaned in response, breaking the kiss and shifting his lips to her throat, tracking a trail of soft, hot kisses down her sensitive skin.
“No…no marks,” she managed to say. He hummed in assent and nipped lightly at her fluttering pulse point before working his way back up her throat and kissing her deeply again. She moaned into the kiss, her hips inadvertently rolling, shifting her body closer against him.
He groaned. “Aelin…” A short pause, their heartbeats so loud they could practically hear each other’s pulses. “I won’t take you in the backseat of a car this first time.”
“Why not?” She dragged one hand ever so slowly down his chest, almost reaching his throbbing erection before he caught her wrist with a growl.
“Because anyone could walk past and see us, and I don’t need an audience when I make you scream my name.”
She went silent, her slightly-swollen lips dropping in aroused surprise. “Then get me home, Lieutenant.”
A dark little smile crooked his lips. “Have I ever told you that I’ve dreamed of you using my title in bed?”
“Now you have.” She climbed into the passenger seat. “Lieutenant.”
He drove back to her apartment building with so little heed for traffic rules that she almost didn’t believe he was a cop. And when he parked and opened her door for her, the promise lighting his eyes made her knees turn to jelly.
“Nervous, Ae?” he asked as they stepped into the elevator.
“Hardly.” She pressed the button for her floor. “I recall you talking some big talk about showing me what I missed, so I’d only be nervous that you won’t last long enough to do that.”
His hands flexed against her waist, the heat of him seeping through her linen dress. “Keep saying things like that and we’ll see who doesn’t last.”
“Ah-ah, big boy.” She clicked her tongue. “Loser doesn’t get to call the shots.”
“Aelin,” he groaned, eyes fluttering closed.
“Rowan,” she echoed, giggling at his evident frustration. The elevator stopped with a ding, its door opening to Aelin’s floor. She threaded her fingers with his and led him down the hallway to her apartment, unlocked the door, and let him in. She’d just finished locking the deadbolt behind them when his hands circled her waist and his lips pressed against the back of her neck, soft but so intensely heated that she drew in a tiny gasp.
“Told you I’d hear that sound again,” he murmured into her ear.
She arched backwards, molding her body against his. “And I told you the loser doesn’t get to call the shots tonight, love.” Smoothly, she moved out of his embrace, bent down, and unfastened her heeled sandals, leaving them on the short shoe rack by the door. She strolled through the living room, mentally counting the seconds until he followed.
Five, six, seven. Seven seconds. Then Rowan kicked off his shoes, crossed the living room in four long strides, and backed her into the closest wall in another two steps.
“This doesn’t look like my bed,” she teased.
“We’ll get to that.” Cupping his hands under her ass, he hoisted her effortlessly up and kissed her, his tongue slipping between her parted lips. She groaned softly and tangled her fingers into his hair, unapologetically ruffling up the short strands as she kissed him harder, nipping at his lips, a challenge and a tease all at once.
“Gods,” she moaned as his lips worked down her neck, her hips grinding into his.
“Just me,” he mumbled into her skin.
She huffed out a breathy laugh. “How are you so funny and so hot right now?”
“Call it a special skill.” He chuckled at her wry laugh and abruptly pulled her away from the wall and down the rest of the short hallway to her bedroom, where he set her down on her feet. “Dress. Off.”
Faster than he could blink, she hooked her foot around the back of his legs and knocked him to his knees. “What did I tell you about giving me commands tonight, love?”
“Fuck me,” he breathed, cock straining at the front of his pants, probably leaving a permanent imprint of his zipper. “I didn’t know you could do that, Ae.”
“Now you do.” Her turquoise gaze trailed lazily down his body. “Clothes off, Ro.”
He yanked his shirt over his head and had his pants down to his knees before he looked up at her with a wry smirk. “Can’t exactly get my pants all the way off like this.”
She chuckled. “Here.” Leaning down, she pulled his belt out of his pants, looped it swiftly around his wrists—deliberately making the restraint very simple so that investigative brain of his wouldn’t suspect anything—and let him stand up. “Now get your pants off, love.”
“I…” His cock was practically shoving through his boxers. “My hands…”
“Don’t tell me you need your hands to get your pants off, my darling Lieutenant,” she hummed. With a wicked half-smirk, she pulled her dress up and over her head, revealing a lacy, golden bra and panties set.
It took him exactly ten seconds to kick off his pants and drop back to his knees, a desperate groan ripping from his throat as he drank in the sight of her in scraps of golden lace.
“Look at you already on your knees for me,” she cooed, sauntering across the room until she stood before him. She trailed her fingers through his hair and down his face, dancing across the intricate craftsmanship of his tattoo. “Good boy.”
“Aelin,” Rowan moaned, desperation bleeding into his tone, “please.”
“Please what?”
“Please,” he said, eyes wide and begging, “let me touch you. Let me taste you. Please.”
“Such pretty manners.” She dropped down on the end of her bed, conveniently stripping off her panties as she did, and let her legs fall open. “Only when I say so, Lieutenant.” He groaned but didn’t move, his whole body tense with the effort it took to keep in place rather than lunge for her and bury his tongue between her thighs. “Good boy,” she gasped, her head falling back as she circled her clit with her thumb, the soft touch lighting a fire in her blood. “Touch me, darling.”
She’d barely spoken the words before he yanked his hands free, launched himself forward, fell back to his knees at the end of her bed, and replaced her thumb with his.
“Fuck,” she gasped, hips jerking. “More, Ro.”
He circled her entrance with one fingertip before plunging his finger into her, the wetness that had pooled between her legs naturally slicking the digit. She moaned with pleasure, guiding him to add a second finger, and reached up to tease her nipples. His eyes went huge and pleading, and he struggled to find words before he managed to choke out a coherent thought.
“Let me taste you, Ae,” he begged. “Fucking please.”
She hummed, pretending to consider it. “Thank you for asking,” she finally said, running her free hand down his throat. “Go ahead, Ro. Put that filthy mouth of yours to work.”
Wisely, he kept his fingers moving, twisting and curling inside of her, as he buried his head between her legs and swept his tongue in a broad, strong stroke up her cunt. He circled her clit with his tongue, sucked the throbbing little bud between his lips, and groaned deeply as the taste of her exploded on his tongue.
Between his ridiculously fucking talented mouth and the headiness of ordering around the gorgeous man she’d been dreaming of since February, Aelin didn’t last long before she clamped her thighs around Rowan’s head and called out his name as she came all over his face. Her body shook as her orgasm subsided, ripples of bliss passing through her.
“Fuck me,” she sighed, her head clearing again. “That was so good, darling.”
Slowly, he lifted his head and withdrew his glistening fingers. “You want me to fuck you?”
“Oh, I want you to do much more than just that.” Languidly, she moved up the bed and stretched out against the multitude of pillows. “Take off the rest of your clothes and come here, love.”
It took him all of five seconds to tear off his boxers, revealing a thick, hard cock that made her pussy clench just thinking about how fucking amazing it was going to feel filling her up, and position himself atop her, his weight braced on his forearms so he wasn’t crushing her. “Here I am.”
“Here you are.” A softer light replaced the commanding glint in her eyes. “And here I am. What you do next is up to you, Rowan.”
He exhaled shakily, a warmth bordering on love suffusing his face. “I’ve dreamed of this since the night of that goddamn gala, Aelin.”
“Me too.” She draped one arm over his shoulder, tracing the defined planes of his upper back. “So do something about it.”
And Rowan did.
~
It was May 25, which made it, as Gavriel would probably scream, time to stop fucking around and start producing some concrete proof. Rowan knew he’d been putting off actually filing the evidence he’d collected, using the flimsy excuse of the amount of paperwork it would take, and he was finally having a calm enough week at Orynth PD to lock himself in his office and start the task.
He went through the homicide reports mechanically, having filed so many of them during his career that he had the process down to muscle memory. The only thing he had to consciously remember for these reports was to track the consistency of the victims’ MO’s, because that was one of the key things upon which his case rested. If he was going to get Celaena Sardothien convicted for her reign of shadow-cloaked terror—and he swore he would—he needed to make certain that he drove home the point about her preferred mode of torture-to-murder being the same.
The fact that his suspect had never been seen in person would be an obstacle, but not an insurmountable one. He had full faith that when his trap was set and baited, Sardothien would come right into its open arms.
He took a lunch break after finishing the reports, during which he allowed himself to open his personal cell phone and scroll through his and Aelin’s recent texts. He even managed to call and catch her during a break, which meant they could spend a few minutes talking. Which had him grinning like an idiot when he returned to his office.
Turning back to the evidence filing, Rowan picked up the small plastic bag containing the tiny piece of mysterious fabric. Aedion had left a copy of his analytical notes, as his explanation of the material would be just as crucial as the material itself when this case eventually came to court. Rowan flipped through the pages, noting down any key information as he filed the fabric scrap as evidence, when two separate details caught his eyes.
First, early in his initial observations, Aedion had noted that the fabric had “remarkably straight, cleanly squared edges.” Rowan turned over that thought in his head, jaw dropping when he realized the implication—the fabric had not been torn, but cut out of a larger piece.
Which left the distinct possibility that it had been planted at the explosion site.
“Fucking hell,” Rowan swore, jaw ticking as he added that note to the evidence report.
The second thing that caught his eye was towards the end of Aedion’s notes, an otherwise ordinary note about the place of manufacture. Developed at Galathynius, Inc. Laboratories. Rowan shook his head, blinked a few times, and reread the note five more times to make sure he was reading it correctly. Each time, it said the same thing.
The mysterious foreign fabric had been developed at the labs of Aelin’s beloved company.
Rowan’s mind raced a mile a minute through the possibilities of that one little note. On the extreme end, it implied that Aelin had created the fabric—which was impossible, because she’d told him herself that she had an engineering team. So perhaps her engineers had developed it? Without her knowing? But that would make no sense, since Aelin was clearly invested enough in her company to be fully aware of what was developed in her labs. So…a secret project?
Or, as Rowan began to suspect, if Celaena Sardothien was using Aelin Galathynius as a cover-up, it followed that she would have been able to use the lab and develop some kind of near-impenetrable material for her nefarious schemes.
All the more reason to end the Shadow Assassin before she decided Aelin was no longer useful.
~
On the unseasonably warm evening of May 30, Aelin—clad in the form-fitting black suit of Celaena Sardothien—wove her way through the shipping district, darting from shadow to shadow like a breath of nighttime breeze. A few days ago, Nox had left her a note that there had been a suspicious figure seen lurking around Warehouse 4, and because she needed to let off some steam, she’d decided to go investigate it herself. With the SecondSkin covering her true skin and her suit snug against her body, she blended into the dark little nooks and crannies of the industrial sprawl of buildings, and she made it to Warehouse 4 undetected. At the perimeter of the security cameras’ field, she tapped her boot twice against an innocuous-looking crack in the unkempt pavement, disarming the cameras temporarily.
Footsteps silent, she crept up to the steel-sided building and paced a careful lap around the structure. She’d just started a second lap when there was a faint rustle from the cluster of nearby shrubs, and a knife sliced through the night and embedded itself in her arm.
Or it would have, had she not caught it before it could make contact.
Thick, tense silence stretched across the short distance between her and whoever the fuck was hiding in the shrubbery like a damn coward.
Then, with a muffled “fuck,” a tall, muscled, black-clad male figure exploded out of the shrubs and rushed at her.
She dodged his initial brute rush, kicking out as she sidestepped and managing to get the man in the back of the leg. He grunted, reversed direction, and swung a powerful right cross punch at her, which she blocked with one forearm and returned with a left hook. He swatted away her strike, so she launched into a flurry of rapid-fire punches and strikes, distracting him enough that she was able to get in close quarters and drive one knee into the juncture of his leg and his groin. He swore viciously and retaliated with a brutal punch to her side, which made most of her breath whoosh out of her lungs.
“Dick move,” she huffed.
The man scoffed. “Says the woman who literally just kneed me in the dick.”
“Obviously you have no knowledge of anatomy.” She landed a punch to his shoulder joint and followed it up with a boot to his thigh. “Or you’d know that I kneed you in the thigh joint, idiot.”
“Nobody told me the Boss was such a smart-ass.” He smacked the small knife out of her left hand. “Now who’s not playing by the rules?”
“What rules?” With a vicious grin, she ducked his roundhouse swing and thrust her elbow into his stomach. He folded over with a groan, though he recovered rapidly. Not rapidly enough to fully dodge the high, sweeping kick she directed at his face, hitting his jaw enough to bruise and send his head jerking sideways. “There aren’t rules in this world.”
“No…shit,” he wheezed. He dodged her sudden rush and whirled around to meet her head-on again, flicking open a switchblade.
“Nice blade.” Aelin’s smirk flashed white in the blue-black darkness as she whipped twin serrated daggers from her thigh sheaths. “Little bit thuggish though, don’t you think?”
“Says the goddamn Boss.”
God, but it was fun to go into combat with someone who wasn’t afraid to dish her sarcasm right back at her. “You’ve got quite the mouth on you, hmm? Pity I won’t be able to listen to it much longer.”
“That’s what you think.” He swiped at her thigh, gasping shortly when she whipped her leg up to avoid the blade. Gasping in a more strangled manner when she wrapped that leg around his neck and half-threw, half-strangled him to the ground in a single fluid, brutal maneuver that was some kind of unholy cross between martial arts and street fighting. “Fuck!”
She stomped on his wrist, forcing him to release his knife, and swiftly immobilized him, though he was a good deal taller and heavier than she was. “Any last words?” The tip of her dagger touched his pulsing jugular, eager to rip open the skin.
“Only–”
“WAIT!”
Aelin muffled a particularly colorful curse. “What the fuck, Con?!”
“Boss, wait!” Con sprinted around so he was in her view, glancing quickly at the man she had pinned to the ground. “I know him.”
“You have fifteen seconds to explain.”
Con yanked the man’s dark mask and hood off, revealing tawny skin, blonde curls, and an oddly familiar face. “Long time no see, brother.”
“Brother?”
“Boss, this is Fen.”
The blonde–who, Aelin noted, was indeed Con’s mirror image, but blonde–grinned. “Fenrys Moonbeam, at your service.”
She snorted softly. “I’ll be the judge of that. Con, is he safe?”
Con shrugged and addressed his brother. “Where have you been, Fen?”
“Evading authority, like usual.”
The dark-haired twin rolled his eyes. “He’s safe. Good eyes, good ears, talks too much but knows when to shut his stupid face.”
“All right, Fen, you’re hired. I could use another pair of eyes, and your brother could use a break, if he knows what that is.” Aelin released Fenrys and stood up, brushing off her hands.
Fen pushed himself to his feet with a groan, shaking out his cramped, sore limbs. “So the interview consists of almost dying. Got it.”
She threw him a vicious grin. “And if I decide I won’t hire a candidate, the ‘almost’ part goes away.”
“Terrifying.” He gulped. “Well, then I’ll count myself lucky.” He shook her offered hand. “Thanks for the opportunity, Boss.”
“I’m looking forward to seeing how your particular skills can be an asset.” She winked, relishing the way he shuddered ever so slightly at the obvious hint of her scheming. “I’ve been in need of a decent trespasser since the last one had an unfortunate run-in with a bullet.”
“Unfortunate, huh?”
“Very unfortunate.” She chuckled, low and dark. “He went two steps too far.”
Fenrys grimaced. “I’ll be here whenever you need me, Boss.” With a lazy mockery of a salute, he limped off beside his brother, headed for Con’s truck.
~
Back at his apartment that was little more than a shitty, rundown box with paper-thin walls, tucked into one of many nondescript brick apartment buildings bordering the industrial district, Fenrys Moonbeam stretched his aching body out on his crappy couch, settled an ice pack on his throbbing knee, and picked up the cellphone lying on the side table. Opening the short list of contacts, he scrolled for a moment before tapping on an icon and letting the phone ring.
The call connected just after the third ring. “Moonbeam?”
Fenrys knew better than to waste words. “I’m in, Cap.”
“Wrong title.” Rowan Whitethorn’s grunt dripped with acerbic sarcasm.
“Apologies, Lieutenant,” Fenrys simpered. “Anyway, I’m in.”
“Good.”
Click. The call went dead.
Fenrys sighed. He really should have expected Whitethorn to be as terse as his reputation suggested; the man had sent him an actual paper printout of his instructions, for fuck’s sake. At least the assignment was fairly simple.
Infiltrate Celaena Sardothien’s ring of criminals. Check.
Get into Sardothien’s good graces enough to go with her when she inevitably committed her next murder. Check…right?
Collect as much evidence as possible of the Boss’s numerous heinous crimes so the TSF could convict her and end her rampage of villainy. He was working on that.
And preferably don’t fucking die in the attempt. That last part had been spoken in Rowan Whitethorn’s famously dry voice.
No sweat.
Aching from the unexpectedly brutal fight, Fenrys Moonbeam stretched out on his shitty couch, wincing at the unpleasant feeling of every goddamn spring in the bloody couch digging into his body, closed his eyes, and dropped into shallow sleep, hyperaware that he laid exactly twelve feet atop the equally rundown, mildew-ridden apartment of Boss Celaena Sardothien.
Take a Break
❆ Ranze Kurona x f! reader
❆ Warning: not prof-read,
❆ Misc: Word Count: 1k+ 12 days of Christmas special with the Blue Lock Boys. 4/12 days with my sweet baby shark Ranze Kurona. Hope you enjoy it. (Culinary Genius)
❆ In which you your friend told you to take a break.
{Y/n} has been busy with orders since the start of December. This was the most busy part of the year for the food industry. She's been baking things from cakes to cookies, even some 'real' food.
Kurona has been helping his friend in the bakery. Though he does the easy stuff like boxing/bagging the items. And working at the cash register. It wasn't much, but it was helpful and {Y/n} appreciated his help a lot.
{Y/n} was making a new batch of Christmas sugar cookies. Kurona is working up front on his phone. He was waiting for people to pick up so they could close. It looked like the people weren't going to show up anytime soon.
As Kurona was shutting up shop, he heard a knock at the door. He turned around to see a couple waiting to be let in. He walked over letting the two in.
"Hi sorry were late. One of us got lost," She says looking over to what Kurona presumed was her husband due to the rings on their fingers.
The husband rubbed the back of his head, "Sorry he mouthed.
"It’s fine. Let me grab your cookies." He grabbed the bag on the counter giving it to them. The two thanked him before taking there leave.
When Kurona was done closing up the bakery, he walked back to see the female who ran the bakery still working. He sighed shaking his head.
{Y/n} was decorating the last batch of the Christmas cookies. She had been making cookies the most this year, it was muscle memory at this point.
Kurona was tired of all the work, but not for himself, his job was simple. He was tired of all the work {Y/n} was doing. I mean sure she owned the bakery and she was indeed an outstanding chef and baker. Everyone wanted to eat her food. She was making a good living out of this too. But there was a lot of more work she had to do because she was a one man team. That's why Kurona helped as much as he could.
"I'm done!" {Y/n} celebrities throwing done the piping bag and thr butter knife.
Kurona clapped his hands scaring his friend. She turned around walked up to him, and gave him a hug. "Thanks for your help, Kurona. You can go home if you want since you closed up today." {Y/n} walked back to the kitchen.
"Woah, slow down." The male pulled his friend back. "You've been working all day, {Y/n}. You need a break."
"No." She responded taking her hand back.
"Yes." He demanded taking her hand back.
Kurona dragged his friend out of the shop. {Y/n} fought against and argued with him, but the man didn't listen. He dragged her to the nearest store. "Stay here." He demanded.
The woman stood there in front of the store confused. He came back with a small present in his hand, "take it."
{Y/n} took the gift. She tore off fhe wrapping paper. She opened the small box and her expression changed from confused to surprised with in a matter of seconds. "What the hell, Kurona! Thank you so much!" She took the present out. It was keys, car keys. She clicked the bottom the hear where the car was.
It was right in front of them. A nice Acura NSX.
"You've been working a lot this month. Now take a nice drive."
{Y/n} got in the car along with Kurona. She took a nice drive around Japan. It was a nice, she finally got a break. She even got to see nice sights that people would usually put aside and are to busy for. Kurona had a smile on his face seeing his best friend take a nice and well deserved break.
A/n: I was busy yesterday day and didn't have time to post. Anyway here is the late one.
bran my friend in my phone do you have favorite hobbit fic recs to share? I’ve read some of the big ones but spelunking around ao3 as if I am bilbo in the dark is not giving me great results
HELLO my fellow friend in my phone!! Yes I have quite a few😂 I've been taking WILD risks and reading A LOT so please have some of my favs I've found so far:
Sansûkh (obviously) (M) - once in a lifetime transformative work, did insane shit to my grieving brain.
The Riven Crown (E) - I think this one also gets recc'd a lot but it DESERVES IT. I love a good courtship/marriage of convenience situation. This also goes through the nitty gritty of survival through the winter and injuries as well, which I like to read. Satisfying slow burn and hilarious ending.
In the Shadow of Mountain Kings (E) - INSANEEEE fili/oc fic. Retells the company's journey. Don't be intimidated by "major character death" tag, as far as I remember nobody major dies? At least definitely none of the company dies.
lay your troubles down (E) - Bilbo fucks Thorin out of his goldsickness basically but like. much more fuvked up than that in a touch starved/afraid of intimacy kind of way. fucked me RIGHT up.
On Chokeberries and Mushrooms (NR) - Bilbo trying to keep himself from being a burden to the Company, even though he knows he physiologically needs more food than they do. I'm very normal about food.
Green-Handed (G) - sometimes...a hobbit's hands turn green...to cope??? Like a modified Hanahaki disease type of fic. Very fun.
Oak and Mistletoe (T) - AU where Thorin has a mysterious illness where he can't appreciate any sensations. Bilbo does mistletoe magic on him to help. Very cute.
Something to Start With (T) - Thorin and Bilbo thoroughly convinced the other doesn't want to see them. They start talking again because Bilbo notices the GIGANTIC GAPING HOLE in Thorin's foot🥰 hooray for romantic wound care
You Got Me (G) - the company gets to know Bilbo and gives him gifts. VERY cool moments in here for the Nori appreciators especially💜
The "Dying" Hobbit (T) - Oin mishears Bilbo and the whole company thinks he's dying when he just has a little cold. Gandalf doesn't help. Mostly very cute but the Fili and Kili scene SNIPED my ass unexpectedly and did make me cry😂
Twist, Twirl, Dance, Clap (G) - the company teaching Bilbo to dance! very cute🥰
Confidence (T) - trans men Bilbo, Thorin, and Fili that's not porn🥰 you would not believe how hard that is to come by. Not much to this one I guess but I just like holding them in my hands💜
The Color of Possibility (T) - Bilbo saves Thorin from Azog's blade, but now Thorin refuses to see him. And the company is being very unhelpful with trying to arrange a meeting🤔
May Your Forge Burn Bright (E) - AU where Bilbo on a whim purchases the smithy in Bree where Thorin works. Lots goin on in there to keep you reading.
Something Blue (M) - Bilbo/Thorin marriage of convenience but fili/ori subplot as well. Thorin "married Bilbo for political reasons" you know how it goes. Also, Dain gets reallllll comfy with Bilbo🧐
And those are all the ones from ao3 that live in my head rent free! I have more if you like, but I will say I also look at xreader fics and imagines and shit. Always fun to see what the girlies are saying.
#personal#ask#anon#hobbit#thank you for the ask my friend!!!#if you or anybody else has recc's I'd love to read them!#especially fili stuff thats my little guy!!!
wholesomeness meme
i get annoyed by how bad i think some series i enjoy are but i dont like those moments that are trash and dont think they deserve the attention so instead have my most good vibes ey moments from things i could think of rn lol
dont talk to me i cant this is the actual best: this is stuff im just. keyboard smashes, shuts down, etc etc.
the losh scene in ouas: this short had no right to be as awesome as it was. this scene was so well and fun-ly animated im losing it
nwh saving the villains: moments of movies that live rent free in my head i appreciate this so much.
losh updates in florida: let me in let me in!!!!!
screaming incoherently: i love this a lot. awesome af.
the other witw/losh cameos in ouas: beautiful. wonderful. keep on doin what youre doin
nwh in general: heavy wepons guy voice i love this movie
schubby festival (+ sendai live): loid events are few and far between but every time i have a reason to scream abt my favorite lab experiment composers i will be
its so wholesome im gonna mclose it: im not even spiteful this is the best
guifei wanting to play a trio w the boys: so far the only character to have voice lines w them and not act like a creep. looks pointedly. anyways a good person and i appreciate her. pls come home
caro making lotr memes: caro deserves better. its also cute the two lute buddies are next to each other lol
senpai in ouas: he had a small role but its adorable. honestly this would be higher? idk. maybe this is just ouas in general bc there were a lot of genuinely wholesome moments (there were some bad ones but eh im not here for that lol)
the ending of k h 3: let -clap emoji- these -clap emoji- kids -clap emoji- eat -clap emoji- ice cream -clap emoji-
i am physically upset we dont get more shit like this in the series: ok the rage starts to show. im a little spiteful or more than before but this is still good af
cyrano being sexy and charly being wholesome: this was by far one of the best white days, probably on par with the like. gang roleplay with izou. cyrano is by far the best design the game has had in years
poke mon s v having such a banger main plot: compared to the previous one which just wasnt for me s v just hit me hard. i am not immune to silly sandwich lizard bike or wholesome slow burn friendship story. the only reason i think its lower is bc there were some aspects of the dlc that really turned me off, and i feel like souered a really good, pretty much perfect original story. also given that principal clavell is my favorite character since sub mas that really says something : )
beli voice lines in the museum and q pot: these are only lower bc im more angry at why we cant get this sort of good content. caro's thing just fricking punched me in the gut with the memes, but bel is cute af in these and i like him just being a nuisance and weirdo : )
seithr king dom hearts ing that shit: this is why youre very high tier, i love that you stood up for what you believed in and went against the main characters and their flawed beliefs in order to save people you cared abt (aka. alternate timeline versions of yourself). thats the good shit thats what im here for!!
lunar new year events in i dv: gosh i love these. the older men characters are your friends, and theres more focus on a variety of characters that isnt all negative like in the main canon. more of this pls.
hans being freed for the ending of the short: idk. i feel like the people in this short had more heart than most of the people who worked specifically for his movie/that crowd, which is why the usual abuse scene was a haha funny star wars joke and he got free at the end. also folklore bros i want to believe -prayer hands-
this tickles me a little: honestly this series is already so good or hasnt let me down yet so im happy and very touched but not like. foaming at the mouth like some of the others.
t f 2 resurgance by voice actors: i appreciate this so much yall are so wholesome. wish i lived closer id love to play meme songs for you sometime
tw st having good writing and letting the boys be silly boys: i love how the guys share brain cells and are like the embodiment of that vine with the shirtless guys jumping about the speaker. thats why i love them and why i got into the series
gin is alive: good for him!!! im so glad he isnt dead!!!! this was really nice but i feel like ive not been following as long as the hardcore fans but im still so happy, i was worried abt him. good hes ok. pls thrive my boi.
aladar in ouas: my friend!!!! this tickled me so much. thank u ppl who made this for being actually cool.
cameos in the void plot: i thought this was really sweet! very lore much yes! so far im enjoying this story and am trying to be hopeful. idk the more recent plot stuff (like idk. 10ish years back to now?) hasnt hit as hard as the stuff when i was like 10 yrs old but ill be hopeful :)
#this is all i can think of now#good vibes tag#i think ill have this so i dont get as down/angry all the time lol#image tag#also if someone asks me what i like abt x series i can just. -gestures to this chart-
[ or read it on ao3 ! ]
Birthdays weren't something that Jamil celebrated. The memories of birthdays from his childhood were of his sister's small hands shaking him awake. The lamplight illuminating the kunafa his parents made, singing hushed songs before the work day started.
He would end up having one bite of the kunafa before rushing off to wake up Kalim for his morning lessons. The white-haired boy always had some magnificent gift waiting for him, which he always respectfully declined, no matter how much he wanted it. Because he was taught that 'it isn't polite to accept grand gifts from your master.'
Living in the Al-Asim household for so long, he had seen his fair share of birthday parties and banquets. It happened often each year, with each of Kalim's many siblings having their own parties every birthday. Even Kalim himself was known for hosting one of the most extravagant and beautiful parties for his birthdays back in Scalding Sands.
So it was to his surprise that he was the one getting the "birthday banquet" treatment at NRC. He knew how this went down. You get an outfit and a party after school was over. That was what happened last year. Yet he still couldn't get used to all the hustle and bustle.
Jamil stared at his own birthday outfit bitterly, the failures and mistakes of his second year stinging like a phantom wound. Certainly this was enough celebration. He already got enough birthday greetings to fill a jar, and he didn't even have to make breakfast. He didn't need a party on top of that.
Nonetheless, Jamil dutifully put on the suit, feeling the slide of cool fabric against his skin. Even if he didn't like the ritual, NRC had good taste in fabrics at least.
He had just slipped on the bolo tie when his door slipped open. He frowned, turning, "I thought I said no enteri–"
He froze when he saw the person standing at the door. Grinning widely, the Prefect waved, "Hey, birthday boy!"
Jamil winced, "Spare me, please."
"But I haven't seen you all day, senpai, and plus," They closed the door behind him before flopping next to his desk. "It is your birthday."
He rolled his eyes lightly as he fastened the rosette on his clothes, "It's not like I'm having the time of my life here."
"Right," They drawled, picking up one of the stray books on his table. "You're the type that hates when attention is all on you, huh?"
He stared at them pointedly before they laughed, "C'mon, at least appreciate all their efforts! They're kicking up quite the storm out there for your birthday."
Jamil stopped his movements, "Please tell me there aren't any animals."
"There are no animals."
"Prefect. Lying isn't good for you."
"Well, maybe I saw just one parrot–"
"That Kalim–"
They clapped, "Well, before you storm out, I have a proposal that I think you'd be interested in."
"A proposal?" Jamil huffed. "What, are you going to magically somehow make the party go away?"
There was a rustling sound that sounded awfully loud in the brief silence of the room. Jamil did a slow turn, seeing Kalim's carpet fluttering right next to the Prefect. There was a cheeky smile on their face as the looked at him.
"No."
"But I haven't even said anything yet!"
"Wait," Jamil held up a hand, effectively stopping their on-coming speech. "How did you even get to that? I thought I locked up it in the treasury."
"You see," They started, standing up to let the carpet wrap around them like a shawl. "I feel like Tassel has a sensor or something. It likes me quite a lot so it came to greet me when I was sneak— I mean, walking around."
"Tassel?" Jamil asked, watching as one of the carpet's corners shook in recognition. "You named the carpet?"
"Hey, Kalim liked the name," They pursed their lips as if offended. "Besides, the important part is that it likes the name. Now let's go already, or else it'll be too late."
"Late for what?" Jamil paid them no mind, instead reaching for his magic pen.
Which...wasn't there.
He let out a deep sigh, turning to see the Prefect dangling the pen from their grasp. He knew that they would go to great lengths to get things their way, using any trick that they could, yet...
"I guess Ruggie's lessons are working huh," They preened lightly at their achievement. "You didn't notice a thing!"
"That really isn't something to be proud of," He stood, approaching them. Well, it wasn't like he said 'no' in the first place. "So, where are we going?"
"Really? You're coming?"
Jamil looked away from that starry-eyed look of theirs, "Quickly now. Or would you like me to change my mind?" Now that got them moving, dragging Tassel into a prone position before helming the carpet.
"Before you ask, I got lessons from Kalim for this," They chimed in, patting the space right next to them. "So don't make this all for nothing." Jamil climbed on, reluctantly holding on to the flying carpet's edge.
With a few encouraging whispers to the carpet, the two set off into the darkening sky. The breeze that kissed his skin felt almost cool, heralded by the sun's dying light. And he couldn't take his eyes off the horizon.
"Hey, no looking!" They scolded over their shoulder. "It's no fun if you ruin the surprise!"
"Alright, alright," Jamil closed his eyes, holding on to the Prefect's shirt for purchase. "No need to yell." They really were something, asking him to ride blind on a magic carpet.
"You know, I feel like the thief from that story that Kalim told me about before," Their voice was closer, like they were sitting next to him." What did he say again? Ahem, 'Tell me, princess, when did you last let your heart decide'?"
"You're calling me the princess?" Jamil asked after a beat, confusing even himself when he indulged in their ramblings.
"I mean, I am playing the role of the thief, so naturally you're the princess," They snickered slightly. "Would you like me to serenade you too?"
If his eyes were open, he would've rolled them by now, "Just focus on getting us wherever we're going in one piece." And that was that, until Jamil felt their hand settle over his eyes as they came to a halt.
"Okay, ready?" They said, sounding like they were behind him now. "Take a step down, I'll guide you." Jamil could feel the heat of their hand at the small of his back, gently directing him as he took steps blindly on the sand.
"If sand ends up getting in my hair or this suit," He said in a warning tone. "You're going to be cleaning the Scarabia kitchens for a while."
"Yeah, yeah," They snorted; as if the possibility had never crossed their mind. "Just focus on walking, we're really close." The wind once again teased at his hair, ruffling the stiff folds of his suit jacket. He couldn't help but listen to the steady sound of their breathing, focusing on that and the yield of the sand underneath him.
And then he could see again.
His eyelashes fluttered as his world was set aglow once more, the sun's last rays clawing across the desert in a magnificent display. All above, the night sky desperately bled its colors into the day, as the night always yearns to be with its counterpart. At least that was what those fairytales told him. And now, he couldn't help but believe in it. He watched, entranced as the sun was swallowed by the horizon line, and as the moon rose, barely missing its counterpart by just a few seconds.
While the moment felt short to him, Jamil didn't know how long he stood there. He turned around, trying to find the shining shams to his muted qamar, and—
There they were.
Their face radiated with happiness, a delighted smile directed right at him. And just like how the sun's rays reflected off the moon, Jamil couldn't help but mirror it with his own smaller smile.
"Did you like my gift?" The words were spoken so softly that Jamil was sure it was the winds that carried them over to him; over the arm's length of space that valleyed between them.
"Wasn't it more like nature's gift to me?" Jamil couldn't help but feel the lightness in his shoulders as he bridged the gap, teasing on the tip of his tongue as he grinned.
"Hey, if I didn't convince you then you wouldn't have seen it!" They turned, and he followed entranced as they walked over the top of the sand dune. "You should give credit where credit's due." The last of the sun's light bathed them in petal red, making Jamil's heart beat harder against his ribcage as he realized that, oh. They were really that important to him all along.
"Let's go back to Tassel befo—"
The sand beneath them gave way, pitching their body over the edge of the dune. And Jamil lunged forward, his body crashing right into theirs and sending them both tumbling down the dune. He winced, drawing them closer to him as they kept falling at gravity's mercy, before finally slowing down to a slide.
A beat of silence spanned between them, punctuated by labored breathing.
"Jamil? Y-you good?" They coughed from where they were, still squished against his chest. He let go instantly feeling his face flame at their closeness.
"I'm...fine," Jamil groaned as pushed himself up on his elbows. They sat on their haunches, still halfway on his lap as they stared at him. His voice turned flat, "And you got sand in my hair. You got sand everywhere."
They laughed hysterically at that, throwing their head back, "Oh, man, I was thinking that maybe the roles got reversed, and you turned into the thief for a second, but...guess you're still the princess."
"This isn't funny," Jamil said, yet he felt the corners of his lips twitch into a smile. "I have a party to go to in a bit." He made no move to get up, finding the warmth of them comforting in the nighttime dessert.
"Well, isn't this celebration enough?" They asked, settling into a more comfortable position— now sitting on the sand, their legs monopolizing the space between his own as they faced him. "We've been celebrating you this whole time, after all."
His pulse jumped, "Since...since when have we been celebrating me?"
"Since I came to your room. The carpet ride, the sunset, walking up the sand dune, and even falling down the sand dune—while unplanned— it was all for you," They returned his stare unabashed. "Me being right here, right now...it's for you, senpai."
"...Thank you," The words were spoken in quiet, and this time the wind carried his words instead of theirs. It stirred up his loose hair and he couldn't care less at that moment. He had never seen such an earnest attempt at celebrating his birthday as the one that they had sprung on him.
"Hey, senpai..." They leaned closer, whispering conspiratorially. "Could I give you another present...?"
His gaze dropped instantly to their lips and he knew he was fucked. Oh Sevens. Oh Sevens, Jamil was absolutely ruined. He wanted to kiss them. He wanted them to give him a kiss. That was not good. He closed his eyes instantly when they leaned in a bit more. That was until he felt the press of something against his cheek.
His eyes flew open and he could see something that looked like a....snake plush right in front of his face. A snake plush. A plush. You had to be—
A shaky laugh tumbled out of his lips, "P-Prefect, I-I'm not...five."
"Hey, I thought it was perfect since it looks like you," They pulled the doll back making it nod. "Look, Little Viper, say hi to your predecessor."
"Did you just call that 'Little Viper'?" He stifled the fondness swelling in his chest even if the words weren't directed at him. Was it possible to feel envy for an inanimate object? Jamil really must've been going crazy.
"Would you rather I call it 'senpai' instead?" They were kidding, but Jamil was almost tempted to say 'yes'. Instead he took the plush from them, turning it in his palm. Okay, maybe it looked just a little bit like him. But he definitely wasn't going to admit it out loud.
"Now, let's get back before Kalim freaks out about you being gone," They held out a hand which Jamil immediately took. Tassel seemed to be floating just ahead of them, as if it was waiting for them to finish talking this whole time.
"And will you take responsibility for the sand?" He tugged at their entwined hands, drawing them just a little closer.
They blinked at him owlishly; strangely flustered, "Y-you mean the kitchen deal...right?" Sevens, what would happen if he leaned in and kissed them right then and the—
He patted their head, heat singing his neck once more, "Yes, I do. Now give me back my pen. I would like to maintain my reputation, at least amongst the other dorm members." They uncharacteristically handed him back the pen with no further gripes; something he attributed to their fluster earlier. He made quick work of the sand; the spell coming to him easily after years of practice, leaving them sand free in no time. He joined them on the carpet once more after fixing up his hair.
This time, he sat behind them, resting his chin against their shoulder as they drove. It was warmer that way, he decided to tell himself, trying not to notice how stiff the Prefect's shoulders were. Maybe he wasn't the only one who was...struggling with their feelings.
"Hey, Prefect," Jamil murmured lowly, his lips close enough to brush their ear. "Could I make a request?"
They flinched slightly before relaxing once more, "Mm? F-for your birthday?"
He clenched his fist as he spoke again, "In the future, I... Would it be okay if I..."
"I-If you...?" They asked, and Jamil could almost feel the quickening thud of their heart pressed against his front.
"Come with me on a trip in the future," Jamil decided. "I'll make sure you have fun." He settled for something simple. It would be too hard to voice those complicated feelings with careless words. And there would always be next time.
"Yes," They said quickly before letting out a short breath. "I mean. I would love to. As long as I don't have to save up too many thaumarks to go."
"It's a promise, sukkar," Jamil secretly smiled, hoping that they couldn't feel it from where he was leaning against their shoulder.
Maybe birthdays celebrated were not a waste of time. Maybe it was worth making a fanfare over for once. Maybe going on outlandish carpet rides with someone that makes his heart feel alive was exactly the way to celebrate those days. Maybe this was the way he wanted to celebrate his birthdays from now on.
All that he knew was that he would enjoy this moment while it lasted; before he was thrown into the party that would be thrown for him. And besides, if he needed a little break then...what was stopping him from stealing into the night with them once again?
tysm for reading ! i hope you enjoyed the fluff ^^ if you'd like to check out more jamil viper works, or otherwise, here's my masterlist :D
[ tiny factoids / translations for the fic !! ]
kunafa is a dessert that's made in many arab countries ! the dessert is comprised of a crispy layer of shredded pastry moulded around a cheese or cream filling. it's usually served straight from the oven with a healthy drizzle of sugar syrup :D writing this is making me want to eat it...but here's a link to a kunafa recipe for the curiouser !
qamar / shams : these two words mean 'moon' and 'sun' respectively in arabic. and as for the tale of the moon and the sun being lovers...it was a story that i heard when i was younger though i'm not sure of its origin (i'd love to know if someone does know ^^ drop by my ask box !!)
sukkar : haha. yeah, this basically means 'sugar' in arabic. it's jamil flirting with the prefect. arabic endearments are just 10x more romantic to me, especially from jamil <33
Burn With Desire
Pairings: Pero Tovar x f!reader
Warnings: Smut 28+, explicit, unprotected sex, PinV sex, oral (male receiving), sex pollen, mutual pining, smidge of angst, fluff.
Summary: Pero is affected by the pollen from the red flower he encountered while stealing from the nameless order, and the only one who can hep him is you.
A/N: just shameless smut really and I’m not sorry 😜😊 also I wrote this on my phone so forgive and mistakes ☺️
Comments and reblogs really appreciated 🥰
Pero had a harsh grumpy exterior that would intimidate the strongest of men but you knew there was more to him than that. You’d seen the softer side to him, not often and very rarely on purpose, but it was there. He’d become your protector of sorts as you travelled with his company to the east and through small conversations - generally, all one-sided - you had broken through his walls.
As the nights grew colder in the desert he would pull you close wrapping an arm around your waist for warmth. He was handsome in a rugged kind of way and as time passed by you felt yourself slowly falling for the Spaniard. His touch had begun to send a spark through you straight to your core and you longed for him to pull you under him and fuck you into the desert sand. He wouldn’t though, Pero did not see you in that way. He made that clear by the horrified look on his face when he woke one morning to find himself grinding into your ass. He had pulled back so quickly you thought you were diseased. He had distanced himself since then only talking when necessary and avoided eye contact at all costs. It hurt, the knowledge that he didn’t want you like that but arriving at the wall was a great distraction.
***
“I see someone has an admirer,” William says cocking his head to the side. You follow his gaze to see one of the generals staring at you, a smile slowly spreading over his face as your eyes meet. With rosy cheeks you cast your gaze back towards your food.
“I’m sure it is only because they have never seen a women like me before, a novelty.”
“Aye, perhaps but your a beautiful lass all the same.”
“You flatter me Garin, you must want something.”
He looks at you sheepishly, his eyes flickering towards Lin and you smile at him knowingly.
“Ah, the general. You want my help wooing her?”
“Well no…yes. I just can’t read her, I don’t know if she likes…”
“She likes you. You just need to be honest with her, she strikes me as the type to not like liars.”
“True,” he say a huge smile on his face. “What happened with you and Tovar?”
“Nothing I want to repeat. It’s simple he does not want me like I want him, I must accept it and move on.”
“Is that what he told you? I think you misun…”
“What are you two whispering about eh?”
William looks to Tovar with narrowed eyes before shovelling stew into his mouth. Pero turns his gaze to you, hoping you will answer him but you stand and bid your leave.
“Do I smell still?” He says sniffing his armpit.
“You’re and idiot Pero, that’s what it is. Why don’t you just admit you love her? You could leave now, take her with you and make her your wife. Find land somewhere and build a home, fill it with babies.”
“Cállate, idiota.” Shut it, idiot Sitting down with a clunk of his armour he horses the food into his mouth, his gaze set firmly on you. His cock twitching slightly at the thought of you round with his babe. He shake the thought quickly though, you are far too good for him. You deserve better.
Smirking, William stands to leave, clapping his comrade on the shoulder. “Well I suggest you figure it out before one of the generals takes her first.” Then he was gone, lost in the crowd of soldiers. Pero did not like the sound of another man wanting you, you were his. If only he wasn’t a coward.
Pero is interrupted from his thoughts when Ballard sits beside him.
“The meals are regular here, slow down.”
“I do no intend to be here long,” he says ripping a piece of bread with his teeth.
“Have you thought about my offer? We can leave tomorrow when the battle begins.”
Pero did not answer him straight away, his gaze on you again. He wanted you to leave with him but when he brought up his plan to you and William you both refused to be part of it. He curses himself for pulling away from you that morning, things have not been the same since.
“Well?”
“Si, I am in. Now go, I am trying to eat.”
***
This wasn’t right.
His skin felt like it was on fire, burning him from the inside out. Sweat dripped off him like a sinner in church and his cock pushed against his trousers painfully. A need was building inside him and he needed to touch someone, to be touched. He felt the urge to bury himself inside something hot and wet. Inside you.
Stumbling down the steps into the main hall he’s met with a worried looking William, Lin at his side.
“My friend you don’t look so good.”
The door bursts open and a guard rushes to Lin. “Someone has broken into the armory, black powder is missing.”
Her gaze is on Pero now, anger seeping off her. “You did this?”
“Si, I…I am sorry…Ballard he tricked me….he took it..”
“Did you touch anything else?”
“There was a beautiful flower…it…”
“Your friend has been infected by the pollen. It is a rare flower we use in, certain rituals.”
“Infected him how? Will it kill him?”
“It is to make him aroused, but if he doesn’t work it out of his system he could die.”
“That shouldn’t be too hard there are plenty of women here,” William says looking at his friend with concerned eyes.
“No!”
“Tovar, you heard what she said..”
“No I will do it myself…”
“We need to get him to his chambers, quickly. We will find someone to help him.”
***
Chaos consumed the wall as you searched for William and Pero. When you arrive in the main hall William rushes over to you.
“There you are. Pero has been infected.”
“What? Is he ok? Where is he?” You ask, head moving around in search of your friend.
“They have taken him to his chambers, he…he was infected with a pollen…it…it makes..”
“Oh for Christ sake Garin spit it out.”
“He needs to fuck or he will die.” You start to laugh thinking this is some sort of joke, but when Williams face remains firm you quieten down.
“You’re serious!”
“I’m afraid so. Lin is sending someone to help him with his, ailment.”
“No! I mean…I…I can help him.”
“I thought as much,” he says a huge smirk on his face. “Go, I will tell Lin we have found him some help.”
Standing outside his chambers you can hear his moans through the walls. The sound of him fisting himself and a wetness pools between your thighs. Raising your hand to knock on the door, he shouts, loud and angry.
“I said I do no need any help, ¡Vete a la mierda!”
“Pero? It’s me.”
“Go away hermosa. Please.”
“Just let me in, please I can help you.”
“No! I can no make you do this.”
“Your not making me do anything, I want to help.”
It’s quiet all of a sudden and you’re a little startled when he pulls the door open and grabs onto your arm pulling you inside. He pushes you against the door his hands on your hips, eyes blown wide with lust. Those beautiful hazel eyes you’ve come to love now black pools. His nostrils flare as he takes in harsh breaths. Your eyes roam his figure and you notice he has discarded his armour, standing now in only his under shirt. Slowly, you reach out a hand and place it on his cheek, his face leaning into your touch.
“I want to help you, please.”
“I won’t be gentle. I can’t be.”
“I don’t want you to be.” A growl comes from deep inside him as he lifts you up and carries you to his bed. He practically throws you onto it before grabbing onto your clothes and ripping them off. Laying there completely bare to him, your breasts moving with each breath you take. His eyes are fixed on then now as your nipples harden against the cool air. You can see the hesitation in his eyes, so you slowly move down the bed until your kneeling in front of him. Placing your hand on his chest you look him deep in the eyes.
“I want you to fuck me Pero, use me however you want.” He doesn’t have to be told twice as he lifts his shirt off and throws it on the ground. You wrap your hand around his thick length and pump him, his eyes closing as he groans out in pleasure.
“Fuck, hermosa.”
“Want to taste you Pero,” you say as you pull him onto the bed, pushing him onto his back. You wrap your hand around the base of his cock, pumping him. Slowly, inch by inch you work him into your mouth. A low rough groan falls from his lips as you take him deeper.
“Mierda! Feels so good mi amor.”
Then you drag your tongue along the base of his cock, swirling it around his head until he’s panting, bobbing your head up and down, along his cock. His hips begin to jerk as he gets closer to his climax. He runs his fingers through your hair gripping it tight as he thrusts into your mouth.
“Where? Hermosa tell me where?”
“Come down throat Pero, I want to taste all of you.” He groans loudly as spills inside your mouth. You swallow all of him down and lick your lips as you pull back, your eyes fixed on his blissed out state. He has a pleased smile on his face, his chest heaving. Moments later he can feel that burning under his skin begin again.
“Fuck…I…I need to be inside you amor.”
Crawling up the bed, you straddle his hips lining yourself up with his already hard length. You run your wet cunt along his cock, “are you sure you want this? Want me?” You say slowly, teasing him.
“Si! Si mierda…please need you..”
With a sly smirk you slowly lower yourself onto him, his hands coming to hold your hips as you start to move slowly. His eyes close as he groans at the feeling of your tight, wet cunt swallowing him whole. You roll your hips over his cock, your hands braced against his chest. His hands grip your hips tight, guiding your movements.
“Oh,” you cry out as he hits that spot inside you. “Pero.”
You rock your hips over him faster and faster as he thrusts up to meet your movements. “So beautiful….so fucking beautiful.”
“Oh…I’m gonna…I’m…”
“That’s it mi amor, come on my cock.”
“Pero,” you cry as your orgasm crashes over you, your whole body shaking with the force of it. The feeling of your cunt fluttering around him sends him into a frenzy as his reaches his own release. Groaning loudly into the room as he comes, spurting ropes of his seed into you. You fall onto the bed next to him with a smile on your face as you look over at him. He’s panting with exhaustion but you can see his cock hardening again.
“Has it not worked?”
“It is no as bad now but I do no think it is fully worked out of me yet. You can…if you do no want…I can get some…”
“I told you to use me. If you still need me then I’ll stay.” He turns towards you before rolling on top of you and nestling himself between your thighs. “Mi putita perfecta.” My perfect little whore. He enters you with one thrust and your breath hitches as he hits you deep inside. “I want to fuck you now, mi amor. Will you let me?”
“Yes! Please….Pero please…fuck me.”
The room is filled with the sound of skin slapping and moans of pleasure as he takes you again and again. Pero fucks you from behind and against the door and you’ve never had a man pleasure like this. Finally he has fucked you enough to work the pollen out of his system and he tells you to take a bath to help relieve the ache in your body. Lin had the guards fill it before they left and it was surprisingly still warm. A gasp escapes your lips as you sink down into the water, Pero pouring some oils into it for you. Your eyes are closed as you relax into the water. He nudges your shoulder a little and you look at him slightly confused.
“Move up hermosa.” Shooting yo enough to let him in he sits in behind you, pulling you back flush against his chest. His hands work your sore muscles as you lean your head against his shoulder. “Hmm, that feels nice.” He almost has you asleep with the way he eases the tension in your body.
“Thank you mi amor, for helping me. I know you did no have to.”
“You don’t need to thank me, I would do it again to save your life. I’m sorry, you could have had any of the women here and I know you don’t like me that way, I..”
He halts his ministrations and places his hand under your chin, forcing you to look at him. “You think I do no want you? Hermosa…I, I am in love with you. I did no want another woman, only you. I think you deserve better than some mercenary with no coins to his name.”
“Pero I don’t want anyone else but you, I love you. I thought when you pulled away from me that morning that you didn’t want me.”
“No mi amor, I simply was ashamed with myself for doing that to you, it was no your fault. What idiots we have been.” He places his lips against yours in a soft kiss. “I wish to take you out of here and marry you. We could find someplace to settle and I will fill you full of my babies.”
“I would love that,” you say before kissing him again. He’s hardening agains against your ass and you laugh into his mouth.
“What is so funny amor?”
“How are you hard again?”
“What do you expect when a beautiful woman, my woman, is naked against me, I can no help myself. It is ok, you are sore and he will calm himself.”
“I want you though, you just have to be gentle.”
“Are you sure mi amor?”
“Yes,” you say turning in the bath and straddling him, his hard cock poking at your entrance. Sinking down on him slowly you both let out a groan before you start to move up and down his cock. It’s slow and languid and not frantic like before. You both savour the feeling until a loud knock sounds at the door. You go to move off Pero but he grips your hips tight holding you to him. “Keep going.”
You moan loudly as you both move a little faster, the water now sloshing in the tub, splashing onto the floor. Another knock.
“Fuck off!” Pero shouts as he moves his hand to your bundle of nerves, moving his thumb in circler motions. “Come on mi amor, come for me. Give me one more before I fill you up.”
“Tovar! It’s been hours, are you ok?”
“Amigo if you do no leave I will kill you myself,” he shouts as you come, your cunt clenching him tight as you scream his name.
“Ok ok your still…ok I’m going.” Pero comes shortly after and you both laugh.
“Garin won’t be able to look us in the eye now.”
“He is just jealous, he wishes that he could have the general like this.” His hand brushes your cheek as he reaches up to kiss you again.
“You will marry me then?”
“Yes I will.”
“Te amo, mi amor.”
“I love you too. Now come on let’s get dressed I’m starving.”
Wanda Maximoff x Reader #2
Words: 1,970
Warnings: Jealousy, Cursing
Notes:
Thank you for requesting, and by the way: I appreciate all of the Wanda requests so...hey! Send more Wanda requests. Oh, and this was written during a writers block so it’s not the best but I hope it’s good enough ;( Sorry for spelling mistakes.
————
There are moments during Wanda’s life where she is jealous, believe it or not. No, it doesn’t happen very often anymore; because really she has nothing to long for that she doesn’t already have.
But it happens… So despite her unwillingness to admit it, she’s currently experiencing one of her not so often bouts of jealousy—and it feels like such an ugly word, but it’s how she feels because everyone really just loves you, and she just wants you for herself.
and yeah, okay, someone could make the argument that she ‘has’ you already, and she feels that way, but she knows she doesn’t. Logically.
You could completely decide that you don’t want to be with her anymore, Wanda knows, and if that were something you wanted she wouldn’t even think about stopping you.
She’s not that type of jealous though. She’s not concerned you’ll leave her for someone else, despite how close you and Steve get while you’re discussing something, and despite how many times you fall asleep with Thor on the couch, despite how many times Tony seems to be looking for you, she doesn’t necessarily care about any of it.
As a matter of fact, Wanda would say that she loves the way everyone loves you. She loves how close you are with them...she just wishes it didn’t have to mean so little time for her.
So she’ll train with Clint and watch from the corner of her eye as you train with Natasha, and she’s not jealous about the way that you laugh with her, or the way that she smiles at you, or the way that Natasha pulls you until your faces are inches— okay she really didn’t need to fucking pull you so close-
“Y/N,” Wanda calls, absentmindedly throwing Clint into the cushioned wall with her powers. You don’t pay attention to her, much to Wanda’s dismay, instead you smirk at Natasha and she smirks at you— and really Wanda’s about a second away from throwing Natasha into the wall too— but then Nat headbutts you with just enough force that you’re winded by it, and completely and utterly finishes the fight.
Wanda stops her advancements towards you and starts clapping her hands, feeling utterly ridiculous but hiding it well.
From the way Natasha tilts her head at her perhaps she isn’t hiding it well enough.
You still don’t turn around to notice her though because now you’re locked into conversation with Bruce. And Okay.
She’s able to admit to herself now, that yeah, sometimes her jealousy comes from fear rather than want, but it’s only because anyone would feel threatened by Natasha.
She is also able to admit to herself that this is...harder for her than she previously thought.
————
This continues for a while longer. Wanda looks at you hanging out with the others, tries to get your intention, and gets utterly ignored.
She knows you aren’t doing it on purpose, but it hurts enough that whenever you, or the person you’re hanging out with ignore her she sighs and completely leaves the room.
She waits for you to look for her like she looks for you, she waits for you to be alone, but you never do, and you never are.
It hurts in a way it probably shouldn’t.
———-
Wanda has been pouty lately.
When you ask about it she rolls her eyes and crosses her arms over her chest like a disobedient five year old. It’s both amusing and concerning.
Concerning because she’s obviously upset about something, and amusing because she has the cutest pout, and the most dramatic flair about her.
You won’t be dropping this though. “Wan Wan-”
“Okay,” Wanda grimances immediately, “please never call me that again.” She looks horrified when she says it, and your amusement only goes up. Until you see the red glow in her eyes and remember that her powers have been showing the whole day.
This can’t go on.
“Wanda, did I do something wrong?” You ask, clearing your throat in an attempt to start the conversation over.
Wanda momentarily stops glaring at the table so she can glance at you. When she does she seems to sag into her seat at the worried look on your face. This isn’t your fault, she reminds herself, angry that she let her own stupidity affect you. “No,” Wanda sighs, her jaw clenching and unclenching. “No, draga, you haven’t.”
Darling, you remember. That’s what ‘draga’ means. Despite circumstances the term of endearment fills you with butterflies. “Then what’s wrong?”
This time when you ask Wanda answers, looking sheepish and guilty. “I...Y/N I want to spend time with you. Is that…” she pauses, feeling frustrated beyond belief, “is that okay?”
You’re...confused, to say the least. You don’t understand why Wanda would think it isn’t, she’s your girlfriend, you love spending time with her. You had thought that you were already spending time with her before.
“Wanda,” you stutter, eyes wide at the sudden tears in her eyes. When she tries to look away you put a hand on her cheek and force her glowing red eyes to meet yours. “Hey, hey, Wanda—baby—of course it is.”
It’s more than okay.
Wanda nods, looking just as shocked by her tears as you are. “I have no idea why i’m crying,” she says shakily, rubbing her eyes. “I don’t know why...I” Wanda pauses, letting out an angry defeated growl, “just- god, I...i’m just so frustrated.”
And she is, she really is. Wanda hadn’t realized how much this has been affecting her. She’s just angry at herself for needing you so much, and angry at the others for taking you away from her all the time, and then angry at herself again for being angry at the others just for wanting to be with you— she’s just angry. And it’s so exhausting.
But you aren’t. You’re the only thing in this life, to Wanda, that isn’t. It means everything, that’s why she needs you. Not all the time. Just sometimes at least.
You, little does Wanda know, need her around just as much, and more than that you need her to be okay, and she isn’t right now. Wanda looks so devastated and helpless, so helpless, that you’re hugging her before you can even register it, like your body moved on it’s own accord.
“Wanda,” you ask, concerned, “do you feel like i’m not already spending a lot of time with you? I mean...we sleep in the same bed.” Wanda hugs you so tightly though, that you wonder if you’ve been imagining the moments you two have spent together.
“No, no you have been,” she says sadly, and with a resignation in her voice that you don’t understand. “I guess...with all of the loss that’s surrounded me, and with the way I still try to distance myself from the others, I'm just really alone without you.”
You freeze completely, hit with an unbearable amount of sadness for the women you love.
Wanda pulls away from you when you tense, looking frantic because she worded that wrong, she hadn’t meant it to sound like she was guilt tripping you. “Obviously it’s not your responsibility to hang out with me all the time, I want you to hang out with your friends, it’s just...I mean...they do get to do stupid mundane things with you more...and I mean I want that too, but only if—”
You put a hand over her mouth, silencing her immediately. “Baby, slow down. Breathe. You’re gonna die if you don’t.”
“Okay…” you start when you realize Wanda has done what you asked and calmed down as much as she’s going to be able to right now, “no, you’re right, now that I think about it. Lately the others have been asking for me a lot and we only ever get a chance to watch a movie at night...we hardly see each other besides that.”
As you say it you’re shocked to find out how true it is. You’ve been so busy with your project with Tony, and training with Natasha, and Thor has been so sad lately that you’ve been trying to help him— and Clint with his sudden want to start cooking, and Peter with his girl problems, and—
And you hadn’t really taken a moment to realize that you miss Wanda too, you haven’t had the time to realize it while you were shuffling around the compound, but Wanda has had time. She’s had all the time in the world.
“Hey,” Wanda says when she notices the guilt on your face, “none of that.”
So you tackle her. Naturally. You tackle her because you love her, and she’s too sad. She looks too sad, she’s always too sad, and she never deserves to feel that way.
Wanda lets out a loud; ‘oof’ and falls back against the couch with you on top of her burying your face in her neck.
She doesn’t understand at all what’s going on, but she’s willing to give you what you want...until you start making weird noises.
“Rummmmm, tssssssss, weeeeeee.”
“Are you okay?” Wanda asks, legitimately concerned.
“Shhh, babe, i’m charging us up. Weeeee-”
“Okay,” Wanda laughs, pushing you off of her. When you yelp and nearly fall off the couch she catches you with her powers and gently lowers you on the ground.
You glare at her the whole way down, a humorous gleam in your eyes. “I’m trying to help babe, what the fuck.”
Wanda simply rolls her eyes at you, releasing another breathy laugh that has your features soften immediately.
“There it is,” you whisper quietly, reaching up to cup her cheek. Wanda smiles into your palm. “I’m sorry, Wanda. I’m realizing that I've missed you desperately too, so we’ll definitely have to make up for the time we weren’t together.”
“You don’t have to,” Wanda sighs, looking down.
“I want to,” you assure, because you do want to. You hadn’t noticed the ache in your heart until it was pointed out to you, but now that it has been...you just want to spend time with Wanda. But…
“But I want you to have other people as well,” you say quietly, “Do you think you could start opening up to the others? They really love you.”
Wanda studies your eyes, thinking. “I have been open with them.”
“You treat them like comrades more than family, even though they obviously love you more than that, and even though you do too.”
It’s something you’ve noticed. Wanda will protect everyone, and be there for them, and she’ll confide in them when necessary, but she’ll also avoid them, and avoid talking with them.
“Okay, I will try.”
The relief you feel at those four words is indescribable. This isn’t the first time you’ve had this conversation with Wanda, and the fact that she’s finally ready to listen fills you with joy that has you jumping back into her arms and smothering her with kisses.
“Hey,” Wanda protests, but she’s laughing, “I'll have to take it slow. Maybe i’ll start by finally coming to their movie nights”
“Sounds perfect,” you grin. And it does. Wanda hides in her room during those nights, but now she can be your game night partner. “Oh!” You yelp, jumping off her lap, “we should start training now. No one’s been able to beat Natasha at scramble but if we start training now by Friday we’ll be able to take her down.”
“I really am going to regret this,” Wanda sighs.
“It’s only two all-nighters, don’t be dramatic.”
“WHAT? I am not staying up all night.”
“We’ll see about that.” You whisper under your breath. You don’t think Wanda hears until she throws a couch pillow at your face.
More subrry pls ? Are you comfortable with a pegging blurb or no ?
i’ve never written something like this before but i will try and give it a go!! thank you for requesting! <33 ;
“Jesus fuck, baby!”
Harry was whimpering away on the bed, hands tied together using his belt and his cock dripping painfully hard. You’d had him bound for the past 2 hours, playing and teasing him to no end, but now the torture was up and you were going to give your sunshine exactly what he deserved.
You were only in your baby blue lingerie, the set that Harry loved so much because it was see-through lace. Harry was completely bade beneath where you were straddling his body. You kept rocking back and forth on Harry’s leg, allowing you your own pleasure whilst Harry got none. You had already drank his cum down your throat as you played with his cock until he nearly passed out from the orgasm denial, which is why it was so red and thick right now.
“I don’t appreciate your tongue, baby.” You said, slapping his inner thigh and then giving his cock a quick squeeze.
“I’m sorry, so sorry.” He panted, chest heaving as your nails ran around his pelvic region but exclusively not touching his cock.
“Oh you will be pretty boy.” You lifted yourself up so you could wiggle out of your panties, before stuffing them inside Harry’s mouth as a gag. He inhaled your scent and it sent him into overdrive, because God did you have the most divine smell. And not to forget the taste. “Now be quiet whilst I fuck the bad attitude out of you.”
Harry moaned and you could see his eyes roll to the back of his head. He was enjoying this, you thought, a lot more than he should be.
You trailed your lips down his body, starting at his neck. You bruised your kisses into his skin to claim him as yours, moving down his chest to his nipples where you kissed and sucked on them harshly. He squirmed underneath your touch and it made you want to absolutely ruin him. Your lips trailed down and down, licking the line of hair that led you, like a treasure map, to his cock. It was say painfully hard against his chest, just reaching below his belly button. You kissed the tip of it, all red and swollen, making him whimper like a puppy. You kissed all the way down it and then ran your tongue up and down it a few times, licking the pre-cum that had so defiantly escaped away.
“Get on your hands and knees.” You ordered, slapping his inner thigh again because this man was a whore for his pain kink.
“Mm.” Was all Harry could muffle out, turning over the best he could with tied hands and a pantie stuffed mouth. Once he was in the position you asked for you spanked his ass red, wanting something pretty to look at when you ate him out. He moaned at the feeling, shaking his ass slightly as if to bed for more.
“Such a whore.” You slapped him again harshly, feeling the sting ricochet onto your hand too. You pulled him up by his hair and took out the panties in his mouth. “Spit.” You held your hand out for him as he collect his saliva and spat for you. “Good boy.” You shoved the panties back into his mouth and pushed his head down onto the bed, his arse sticking up proudly.
You used one hand to open his cheeks to see his arsehole more easily and the other went to rubbing his saliva over it to make it easier for you to squeeze into. You sat on your thighs and pulled his cheeks apart as wide as possible, driving straight in to give Harry what he’s wanted all evening. You licked around the areas you knew would be sensitive, pushing your tongue through his small hole to tease him. You pulled away and spat on your own two fingers, lubing them up before twisting them into his tight little hole.
“Mmph.” Harry wiggled his arse and arched his back over the new feeling. No matter how many times you fucked him, fingers or strap-on, it always felt like the first time to him. His hole was so sensitive, but yet never quite remembered the feeling until the release.
“Yeah, you like that pretty boy? Huh?” You slapped his ass again, loving the way your hand print was stamped into his soft and sensitive skin. It made you feel primal and territorial.
You reached your other hand around to grab onto his cock and pump him to the same rhythm you were pumping your fingers. Slow, but hard. You slide your finger over his slit and gave him a tight squeeze as you thrusted a hard pump with your fingers. You noticed Harry’s toes curl and the way his body moved to your touch proved how much pleasure he was enduring. He couldn’t get enough. He was starving for you, as you were for him.
“Mm.” He moaned and you had to take your panties our of his mouth in case he was shouting something important.
“What was that, hmm?” You asked, moving away from his ass and leaning over his body to hear him better.
“N-need to be fucked baby, p-please.” He spoke in his small voice, trying his best to open his dazed eyes to get a look at how pretty you are. Wow, you were a sight for sore eyes. He gave you a simple smile and waited for your next movement.
“Good for you then, sunshine, ‘cause I need to be fucked too.” You chuckled, before getting off him to reach into the bedside drawer and grabbing out your double ended dildo. It had been custom made for you both, one end being a gorgeous baby pink colour for Harry and then the other end the softest shade of your favourite colour. It was yours and Harry’s favourite toy. It was measured to fit large so you would both be stretched in the most delicious way.
You used a mixture of Harry’s spit, your juices and Harry’s pre-cum to smear all over the toy so it would be easier to fit into you both. You moved back behind Harry and eased it into his tight hole, making him moan and whimper over the extraordinary sensation. “So g-good.” Harry breathed out and you loved his voice too much to keep him quiet now, so you left the panties were they lay next to his head on the bed.
“Yeah? Let me just…” You pushed yourself into your end of the toy, loudly moaning at the feeling. It was so big and thick, but nowhere near the pulsing and erotic feeling of Harry’s cock. “Fuck.” You sighed happily, squeezing Harry’s arse as support to keep you grounded.
Fuck, you felt so good. Too good.
You started the movement moving forwards and then backwards, pulling Harry’s ass back with you to complete the motion. You gave his ass a quick few slaps when his movements were sloppy, but he quickly found your rhythm and you were both soon absolute wrecks for each other. The dildo hit places you’d been craving to be touched all night and you could tell it was the same for Harry as he moaned in heavy delight. You reached around to grab Harry’s cock and start stroking it too, making sure he got the release he so badly wanted. He deserved it too for being such a good boy for you.
“Yes, God yes!” Harry shouted, moving his hips back to meet your pace. His thighs clapped against your thighs and the sounds of you wet cunt filled the room. You squeezed his ass with one hand as your other squeezed his cock tight. You moved your hand up and down, flicking your finger over his tip to stimulate him in ways only you knew how to.
“Feel so good baby.” You moaned out, throwing your head back and closing your eyes as the warm feelings started to bubble up throughout your body. “You’re so good for me.”
“T-thank you.” He sweetly replied and that only made you want to ruin him more, so you built up your speed more and pushed harder into him which pushed harder into you. The place was electrifying and the pleasure was second to none. A compilation of moans and slapping skin could be heard and it made you so weak for your release.
“I’m going to cum.” You warned him, making sure he better cum with you.
Your pace quickly brought you both to your release, Harry spilling himself all over your hand, his chest and the bed sheets beneath him. Your release was claimed all over the dildo and down your thighs. After a minutes breathe you pulled yourself off the toy and slowly pulling it out of Harry too. His hole contracted small again since it was no longer stuffed. You turned Harry’s body around, straddling him and undoing the belt around his hands so he could finally touch you.
You pushed the dildo end that had been yours up to his lips, pushing it into his mouth so he could get a taste of you. You leaned down to lick his chest clean too, smearing all of his sticky cum over your lips and then onto your tongue. Once there wasn’t a drop of him left and he’d tasted all of you off of the toy, you crawled up him and collapsed on top of his chest, humming in delight of his skin against yours.
“You okay?” Harry asked, moving his hand around to caress softly against your back. You chuckled as Harry brought goosebumps to your skin.
“Just peachy.”
