A proper cool-down should focus on the muscle areas that you worked out, such as:
A gradual reduction in aerobic intensity (cardio)
Static or PNF stretches
The cross-trainer is an excellent technique to lower intensity after a full-body workout because it works every part of the body. Aim for 10 minutes on the cross-trainer after a vigorous workout, reducing the intensity every two minutes.
A complete body static stretching regimen should come next. Some of the greatest beginner's cooldown stretches for a full-body exercise are as follows:
Forward fold hamstring stretch -- 3 x 30 seconds
Place your feet hip-width apart, then lower your chest toward your legs while maintaining a straight back. Depending on your range of motion, reach for your shins, ankles, or the ground. Your thighs should feel stretched in the back. On every leg, repeat.
Standing quadricep stretch -- 3 x 30 seconds
Maintain your balance while standing on one leg. Grab your ankle with your hand and bend your other knee back so that your leg is behind you. Maintaining your hips slightly forward and your knees close together, slowly bring your foot towards your glutes. This stretch ought to be felt in the front of your thigh. On every leg, repeat.
Low lunge hip flexor stretch -- 3 x 30 seconds
With one foot forward and the other extended back, begin in the lunge stance. Sink your hips forward and lower your back knee to the floor. The front of the hip and the thigh of the outstretched leg should feel stretched. On every leg, repeat.
Child's pose -- 3 x 30 seconds
Start on your hands and knees, then sit back on your heels with your arms out in front of you. You can spread your knees apart in a V-shape or keep them closer together, depending on which is more comfortable. Feel the stretch in your shoulders, hips, and back as you bring your forehead down to the mat.
Wall assisted pectoral stretch -- 3 x 30 seconds
With your forearms forced up against the wall and your arms positioned at shoulder height in a 90-degree angle, face the wall. As you slowly move your body away from the wall, notice how your shoulders and chest are stretching. On both sides, repeat.
Cross-body shoulder stretch -- 3 x 30 seconds
With the other hand, gently hold your forearm against your body while you extend one arm across your chest at shoulder height. Your upper back and shoulders should feel stretched. After 30 seconds of holding, swap sides. Do this for every arm.
Stretching for thirty seconds three times a day helps you become more flexible since you can go farther into the stretch each time. You can extend farther and get your breathing back to normal by using deep breathing. Stretching shouldn't hurt, even though it occasionally does.

What are some good workouts for back fat, love handles, and stomach?

1. Cardio Workouts
This type of workout is great for burning calories and getting rid of excess body fat. You should aim to perform cardio exercise at least three times per week for optimal results. Try interval training where you alternate between short bursts of fast-paced activity (high intensity) followed by longer slower-paced activities (low intensity). High intensity work outs consist of running, cycling, jumping rope, calisthenics, rowing, swimming laps, etc. Low intensity workouts involve walking, slow jogging, elliptical machines, stair climbing, weight lifting, etc.
2. Strength Training
Strength training involves using free weights, weight machines, or bodyweight exercises to increase muscle mass and build lean muscle definition. Beginners can start with simple movements like push ups, pull ups, squats, lunges, planks, crunches, and rotational stretches. After mastering these basic moves, you can then progress to more advanced techniques and focus on isolating specific muscles. When doing strength training, make sure to warm up first with dynamic stretching before working out hard. Remember to do full range of motion movement rather than contracting muscles and hold positions for several seconds. Also remember not to bounce while performing weightlifting moves. If you’re looking to tone and sculpt your belly, try plank exercises. Planks strengthen your core and allow you to burn calories without any strain on your joints.
3. HIIT Workouts

In addition to being relaxing, yoga is known to boost self confidence and increase focus. There are many types of yoga including Ashtanga Vinyasa, Iyengar, Kundalini, Power Yoga, Hatha, Restorative, and Yin Yoga. These styles vary based on the type of poses performed and how long the set lasts. To achieve optimum results, combine different forms of yoga together on a regular basis. A typical yoga routine could include 10 minutes of warm up, 45 minutes of practice, 5 minutes of relaxation, and 10 minutes of cool down.
5. Stretching Exercises
Stretching is recommended after exercising and helps relax sore muscles and increase flexibility. Perform static stretching and dynamic stretching before and after a workout. Static stretching involves holding a stretch position for a few seconds, while dynamic stretching involves moving slowly through the stretch. Dynamic stretching also includes active stretching where you use your own body weight to stretch your muscles. Make sure to warm up before starting either type of stretching. Avoid pulling on your skin or twisting while stretching. Hold each stretch position for about 30 seconds. Repeat throughout the day until you feel comfortable enough to increase the duration of the stretches.

6. Weight Lifting
Weight lifting is an effective way to target problem areas and lose stubborn fat. Choose a program that teaches proper technique and safety precautions. Use dumbbells, barbells, plates, medicine balls, cables, bands, or any other weighted equipment. Perform two sets of 10 reps, resting for 2-3 minutes between sets. Do not over train your muscles. Keep your repetitions simple and focus on perfecting form first.
7. Cycling
Cycling is an excellent alternative to running if you have a bad knee, joint pains, or just want to avoid the pounding that comes along with running. Cycle to improve endurance and stay fit. Set goals for yourself on a weekly or monthly basis to measure your improvement. Find a cycle path that takes you to places that are scenic so you can enjoy the surroundings. SPLITTING (다리 찢기)
Starting Taekwondo at a young age, I had no problem with splitting. As far as I remember, there wasn't any screaming or crying from me. I keep my flexibility to this day.
However, things ain't smooth-sailing for my peers and disciples. Unfortunately, y'all have to go through this to reach higher levels in Taekwondo. It's mandatory. It's a necessity. So deal with it. You can cry and you can scream, you can tell your mama sabeomnim is evil for splitting your legs apart, as long as you don't give up.

Flexibility depends on many factors: age, gender, genetics, resilience. I can't control the first 3, except I recommend starting Taekwondo early (but not too early). So the only thing left is the splitting technique, and of course, your mindset.  
Before jumping into the splits (or as my students say, ‘torture session’ hahaha…), remember the reasons you want to start this painful journey. Advantages of getting a full split are:
You can kick higher in Taekwondo.
You can increase the range of motion in your kicks. 
You can increase blood circulation, muscle strength and decrease the risks of injuries in everyday activities. 
You look cool as heck while splitting. This is the fact. In addition, you can scare and prank people with your flexibility.
Before doing the split, make sure to stretch your leg and hip muscles properly. In another post, I suggested some exercises that are beneficial for the split, such as the low lunge, squat, hamstring stretch (finger to toe), frog pose, butterfly stretch, etc. 
In this post, I'll teach you the two most basic splits in Taekwondo. 
How to do a front split? 
I personally find the front split to be easier. To each of one's own, I guess, because students scream as equally loud in any type.
Step 1: If you're not flexible, as in your hands can't reach the ground, start with the standing position with two support materials on the sides. If you think you're flexible enough, start with low lunge position with your hands touching the floor on the sides.
Step 2: Slowly sliding down with one leg at the front and one at the back. You hands hold onto the support. If you're in a low lunge position, straighten your front leg with the knee of your back leg touched the ground. Then raise that knee up and straighten the back leg.
Step 3: Stay in that position for 30 to 1 minutes. Switch the the other side.

How to do a middle split? 
Step 1: If you're not flexible, start in the standing position with two support materials in front of you. If you're flexible, start with a low squat with your hands on the ground. Push your hips forward to allow more range of motions for your hip bones. 
Step 2: Sliding down until you find your limit, where it's mildly uncomfortable. For people doing the squat, jump out with legs on each side and slide down. 
Step 3: Stay in that position for 30 to 1 minutes. Switch to the other side.

Once you reach the floor, try to lean forward or to the sides and stretch further. 
My advice: 
Practice every day. On average, about 5 to 7 times a week. For each session, spend around 1 to 2 minutes on each split to get the best result. It's absolutely possible to get a full split at any age. 
This shit takes time and consistency. Do not rush and compare yourself to other people. You have to understand the limits of your body and go at your own pace. 
There's a difference between ‘uncomfortable’ and ‘painful.’ High-intensity stretching does not mean you're going to improve faster. In fact, your body will do the opposite and contract your muscles. It can also tear the muscle fibers if you suddenly stretch too much. 
When you feel like you've reached your limits but there's still space between your groin and the ground, try out this PNF method. Basically, you stretch the muscles, then gently push them down, and then relax your muscles again, while inhaling and exhaling to the movement. 
Find a stretching buddy if you want.

Shutting and latching the front door behind him, Ulrick began flipping through the stack of envelopes clutched in his right hand. "Huh? Oh…”
“Okay, so… don’t get mad,” Ulrick began, as meekly and guilt-tinged as one can make a shout. “But... there was this huge, I mean HUGE silverfish…” 
“GRrrr! Rrrrr. <Dude! Not cool,>” could be heard as Sett stomped his way to the foyer. 
“I know! I’m sorry! I’m weak!” moaned Ulrick. 
Sett sighed as he entered the cove and laid his single remaining hand on Ulrick’s left shoulder, the other sleeve draped flaccidly at his side. “Grrrr. <Well, yeah.>” he said. Ulrick snickered. 
“You know, having your boyfriend kill a bug for you is exceedingly normal,” Ulrick said, separating the bills from the letters that weren’t bills. There were very few that weren’t bills. “Almost conventional.” 
“Rrr. <True,>” Sett replied. “Rggrrrr. <Probably while the arm’s still attached, though.>”
“A mere quibble.” 
“Rrrrgrrr? <So, where is it now?>” Sett asked.

Ulrick slid his hand down his face with a grateful groan. “God, I love you.” Sett pulled him forward by his collar and pecked his forehead.
Continuing to sort through the mail, Ulrick came to a red envelope and, seeing it addressed to Sett, handed it over. “Looks important.”
Confusion clouded Sett’s eyes for the first few, slow moments spent undoing the envelope’s seal flap, until suddenly, a surge of realization like lightning drove him to violently tear the crimson paper away.

Ulrick gave a pouty grumble. "I'm just saying. One's a little more miraculous, is all." 
Sett pulled Ulrick's head into his chest and stroked his hair. "GrrrRrrrRrrr. <Shh, I know, dude, I know.>" His heavy, soaked clothes and lack of body heat didn't chill Ulrick as much as they should have, and though a fine coating of sand covering him from head to toe gritted against Ulrick's cheek, it only made Ulrick rub his face in rebelliously. 
"Okay," Ulrick said, resting his fists on Sett's chest and gazing up into his eyes. "What's the next activity? I think we’re... due-au for a luau?" The moment the words left his lips, his face collapsed into disgusted regret.
“Rgrrr... <Actually…>” Sett said, wrenching off his mask and shaking the excess water from his hair, teasing a blush out of Ulrick. “GgrrrRrrrr? <Doesn’t watching the stars by the lake sound pretty relaxing?>”
Ulrick grinned and took a seat on the shoreline, running his hands through the tufts of ryegrass stretching out in waves around him. He tapped a spot to his right and Sett, half-cocked smile in tow, came lumbering over to take it. 
Hours flurried past, changing nothing about the image of the intimately silent pair but the number of stark white pinpricks in the sky they beheld. 
They threatened to sit silently basking in each other forever. 
And then Sett said, “GRrrrrgrrr, rrgrrr, graargrr. <So, Diane and Jen gave me their number, and they want to plan an outing.>” 
Unease shot through Ulrick’s veins, but he held his tongue in search of the correct words. “O-oh?” 
“Grrr? Rrgrrrrr. <Isn’t that cool? People want to spend time with us,>” said Sett, ensorcelled with the twinkle of every new star. “Rrrrr. <With me.>”
“That might be…” began Ulrick, before noticing the glimmer in Sett’s eyes and faint lift at the corners of his mouth as he stared up towards a great unknown. He sighed. “It’s going to be great.” 
Sett rested his hand on Ulrick’s, their fingers interlocking. He smiled, and the two gazed into an ever-darkening firmament, speckled with a thousand stars and a thousand futures.

Health Benefits of Yoga
You know that exercise is good for you. You’ve probably heard it a thousand times on television, and maybe your doctor’s told you to get more exercise too. There are few fitness programs that offer broad scope health benefits. Running, for example, strengthens your cardiovascular system and strength training builds muscle. Yoga is one of the few fitness programs that can accomplish both and much more.
#1 Mobility and Flexibility
As you age, and we’re talking about once you've passed that 25-year mark, your body begins to lose some of its mobility. Your muscles can become short and tight. Your tendons can stiffen and your joints may often feel sore. When this happens, simple day-to-day movements can become painful or difficult. You may not be able to touch your toes.
When you walk long distances you may notice that your back aches. And if you try to reach over your head to put something away you may feel pain in your neck or shoulders. This is due to a lack of mobility.
Yoga can improve your mobility, meaning it can help lengthen those tight muscles and tendons. It can give you a better range of motion so that when you move your body, you do it in the most efficient and effective way possible. Not only will you feel better, you’ll stop having those awful aches and pains.
#2 Strength
Yoga often requires you to hold a position for a long period of time. And in most cases you’re supporting your full body weight. This requires you to build great strength. Most yoga positions recruit strength from your large muscle groups, your core muscles for example. As these muscles increase in strength you’ll find it expands to other areas of your life. Your posture will improve. You’ll be stronger, physically, and thus able to lift and carry more than you used to. And you’ll build muscle which burns fat and looks pretty darn fantastic too.
#3 Reduced Stress
Yoga requires a few things that impact and reduce your stress level. The first stress-reducing component is breathing. Many yoga styles have a structured breathing protocol. When you focus on your breathing, it automatically lowers cortisol (a stress hormone) and it lowers your heart rate.
Additionally, yoga requires great focus. Some poses not only ask you to hold your body in a balanced position, they also ask you to pay attention to your body and make slight adjustments to improve the pose. You’re looking inward and focusing solely on your body and the very moment you’re in. This focus reduces stress.

The Best Workout Routine to Do with Your Significant Other
Valentine’s day is traditionally ensconced with a truckload of chocolates, dining out, flowers and a card for good measure. You know, the greatest hits. All those things are great (especially chocolate!) but there’s another way to stay connected with your swole-mate that costs a whole heck of a lot less and one would argue is far more intimate: a couple’s workout routine.
The Warm-Up
Let this be 10-30 minutes of blood pumping, heart rate bumping cardio that you each choose. It’s the “getting ready” portion of the workout date and everyone prepares differently. Maybe you both want to run on the treadmill together? Perhaps one of you prefers five minutes on the bike and foam rolling while the other stair climbs? What matters is you’re fired up and ready to light it up together through this next series of exercises!
Round 1 – Best Way to the Heart is Through the Stomach
This starting round is all about getting the entirety of the body into beast mode with a focus on your core. Do the following workout routine all in a row as quickly as you can, three times through. Rest as needed, but keep your hustle high!
20 Partner Crunch/Squat-Sits (both of you each do a set)– One of you lays down on the mat with your heels tucked, ready to crunch. The other will anchor their partners feet by standing on them AND holding a down-squat position. Keep your hands high to make the cruncher stretch for it! Hold this while your cohort crunches it out then switch!
30 “Showdown” Planks Claps– Get in a straight arm plank position facing your partner (who is doing the same). Make sure you’re an arms width apart and your feet are in a wide stance. Then, simply alternate hand claps with each other!
20 Crunch Tosses– Grab a weighted ball of some sort (preferably a soft wrapped one) and lay down on your backs with the bottoms of your feet about a foot away from each other’s. One of you starts with the ball and crunches up, tossing the ball to your partner in the process. Your partner, seated and waiting for the ball will catch it, drop down, crunch up, and toss it back!
10 Partner Crawl-and-Jumps– Have one of you get in a downward dog position (hips high enough to crawl under) and have your partner crawl under you while avoiding touching your knees to the ground. Once the crawler has made their way to the other side you’re going to stand up and jump the downward dogger (who has now lowered their hips into a plank) leaving the crawler right back where they started, getting into a downward dog pose immediately. Now the roles reverse! Repeat!
Round 2 – Love is a Battlefield
This next round is going to wear your arms out! You’ve been warned. Do the following exercises all in a row as quickly as you can, three times through. Rest as needed but again, move quickly!
20 Partner Crunches– Line up in push-up position facing one another. One of you does a push-up then holds while the other does a push-up, then holds. Repeat for 20 reps. Feel free to modify with your knees down! Just be sure to make sure your hips travel with you to the floor.
20 Dumbbell Daps– Grab a pair of dumbbells that you feel comfortable and confident enough in holding out at shoulder height with your arms fully extended. Keep your palms facing each other at all times. One of you starts with your dumbbells extended inside the dumbbells of your partner. You’re then going to raise your dumbbells, give the top of theirs a little “bonk” with yours, then bring your dumbbells outside of theirs making the two of you switch positions. Now they “bonk” your dumbbells in the same fashion! Repeat!
20 Band “See-Saws”– Grab a resistance band and then have each of you grab one end. Stand in a shoulder width stance facing each other far enough away so that there is tension on the band while still allowing you room to move it. One of you will raise the end of your band all the way up overhead with their arms extended, engaging the back/shoulder/core/leg muscles while the other drives their end down while hinging at the waist (like you’re hiking a football) with their arms fully extended (engaging all the same muscles). Find a rhythm and build a burn together!
30 Jumping Jacks– Nothing fancy here… just both of you doing 30 jumping jacks.
Round 3 – Do the Leg Work
This last round will finalize the workout and get you one step closer to cuddle time. Just…be sure to shower first. Sticking to the same format as the rest do the following exercises all in a row as quickly as you can, three times through. Rest as needed but keep moving!
15 Partner Jump Squats– Get in squat position. Squat. Jump as high as you can as you come up. Once you’ve done this, then your partner does the same. The goal is to look like a couple of pistons roaring!
20 Lateral Lunge Hand-Offs– Grab a weighted ball of your choice and stand side to side. Make sure you’re about a foot away from one another and in a super wide stance. Wider than it feels like you should be at first. This is important for the range of motion. One of you will start with the ball and lateral lunges towards your partner while the other person is lateral lunging towards you as well. Once you hand the ball off, both of you will lateral lunge away from other before repeating back to center and handing the ball off again. Repeat!
20 Lunge Battles (each leg!)– This can be done side to side or facing each other since all that really matters is that you have space to stationary lunge. One of you will start out with doing five lunges while the other holds the down lunge position. Once the lunger has completed five reps, they will now be the one to hold the down lunge position while the other partner does their set of five lunges. Repeat until you’ve both completed 20 lunges… then do the same thing on the other leg!
50 Squat-Sit Patty Cakes– Get in a down squat position facing each other. You need to be close enough to play a game of “patty cake” (high five across the body, clap in the center, repeat other side). Do 50 of these! You have to do a lot in order to build that longevity burn!
Cool Down
If you need to do a few minutes of light cardio cool down on a machine, get on it! The highlight will be taking care of each other after with proper nutrition (and snuggles). Whether you’re going out or going home, make sure to fuel up, toast to the great sweat session you both had, and remind yourselves you don’t need to wait until February 14th, 2020 to do this again!
