Flirty Drunk

You watch as Melissa and Barb start drinking at the party.

“You sure you don’t want to drink too sweetheart? I can ask Gerald to drive you home as well.” Barb asks you and Melissa looks at you with a smile.

“No thank you, I’m good. I’m not much of a drinker anyway, but you guys let loose and I’ll make sure you don’t embarrass yourselves too much.” You tell them and Melissa takes another big gulp of whatever alcoholic drink she got.

That was 10 minutes ago and now the alcohol is starting to affect them. You see Melissa starting to stumble a bit and she grabbed you for stability.

“Woah, the room is unstable.” She starts slurring and you giggle.

“Of course it’s definitely the room and not you that’s unbalanced.” You tell her and she gives you a small glare.

“Wanna dance with me?” She suddenly asks and you look at her and smile. A chance to dance with your crush, how could you refuse?

“Sure.” You tell her and she smiles as you both start dancing to the music. Over the course of the song you notice Melissa getting closer and closer to you. You feel yourself getting a bit claustrophobic, you want her to be close to you but she’s drunk and not in the right state of mind. You pull away from her and you see her confused expression. “I’m going to get another drink, you want anything?” You have to practically yell over the music. She shakes her head at you and then takes another gulp of her drink. You leave to go to the kitchen to get some more water, not noticing the redhead staring at your ass as you leave. Once you get another cup of water from the sink, you decide to drink it in the kitchen and talk with other people there.

Unknown to you, Melissa was waiting for you to return to dance with you again. After 5 minutes, she decides to stop waiting and just goes to dance with Barb.

You return to the living room and you go and join Mr. Morton with the puzzle. You catch sight of Melissa dancing every once in a while. It’s good that she’s letting loose, you think, she definitely deserves it. You see her start to dance with other people as well instead of just Barb. You smile every time you look at her.

“You could just tell her how you feel.” Mr. Morton suddenly says and you turn back to look at him.

“What?” You ask him and he looks up at you from the puzzle.

“Melissa, you’ve been staring at her since you sat down here. You should just tell her how you feel.” He says then goes back to the puzzle.

“She’s too drunk tonight, she’s not in her right state of mind.” Is all you say and he looks up.

“Maybe that’s a good thing. She’ll be honest and if she rejects you then she won’t remember.”

“But I’ll remember and what if that happens and I act weird around her, we’re coworkers.”

“Today was the last day of school. You don’t have to see her for 2 months. I think that’s enough time to handle the rejection. But if I’m honest, I don’t think she’ll reject you.” He tells you and you tilt your head. “She waited for you to return for several minutes after you left to get a drink, she wanted to dance with you again.”

“Well we are friends, and now she’s dancing with Barb and other teachers.”

“I don’t see her almost grinding on them.” He says and you look over at Melissa. You see her already looking at you and she smiles before looking back over at Barb. You stand up and walk over to Melissa who’s currently dancing with a teacher you’ve never met before. You tap her on the shoulder and she turns around, she smiles when she sees it’s you and you lean in close to her ear so she’ll hear you.

“Wanna dance with me again?” You ask her and you pull back and she nods her head enthusiastically. You start dancing again and she wraps her arms around your neck while you place your hands on her waist. You feel her move her hips to the beat of the music while you try and match it while looking at her eyes. You see her smile at you and you smile back at her. She starts to lean in close but she stumbles and you catch her as you wrap your arms around her waist.

“Woah!”

“Careful Mel!” You yell over the music. “What were you trying to do?”

“I was going to tell you that you look beautiful.” She slurs in your ear.

“Oh, well thank you. So do you.” You say as you blush.

You don’t move your arms from being wrapped around her waist and she doesn’t say anything. She starts to press her body against yours and your brain blanks for multiple seconds as you just stare at her. She notices your reaction and just winks at you and you know your cheeks are as red as her hair. You decide to spin her around so she doesn’t notice your intense blush.

“Wee” she says when you spin her around. The alcohol is making her go a bit crazy and you’re having fun watching her be drunk. You look over and see Barb dancing without shoes on and you snort.

“You, you’re supposed to be cleaning.” Janine says to Melissa and you both let each other go.

“I am cleaning. Cleaning up the dance floor!” She says and you two high five. You both continue dancing together without putting any hands on each other this time.

A few minutes later the power goes out and you and Melissa look at each other.

“What do we do now?” You ask her and she takes your hand and leads you to the couch. “Melissa, this is the makeout section.” You tell her and she turns to you and smiles.

“I know. You asked what to do now and this came to mind.” She tells you and you quirk an eyebrow at her.

“How drunk are you?” You ask her and she snorts.

“Pretty drunk but my brain still works.” She says and then hums when she starts leaning in closer to you. She goes to kiss you but you place your hand on her lips to stop her. She looks at your hand that’s on her lips then looks back up at you and then pulls back. “Why’d you stop me? Do you not want to kiss me?” She asks and you smile.

“Believe me I do. But I want to kiss sober Melissa, she’ll know what she’s doing and she’ll actually remember too.” You tell her and she frowns.

“Sober Melissa would never try to kiss you.” She tells you and you tilt your head. Mr. Morton did say she might be honest since she’s drunk so here’s your chance to get information.

“And why’s that?” You ask her.

“Because.” She says and sighs. “Because she’s scared.” She tells you. “Scared of putting her heart out there and getting hurt.”

“I don’t think you have to worry about me hurting you.” You tell her and she looks at your eyes. Just then the power comes back on, as well as the music. “Come on, let’s go dance again.” You say to lighten the mood. You pull her back on the dance floor and you both start dancing again. You both dance until the party is over. “I’ll drive you home Melissa.” You tell her and she nods. You, Melissa and Barb go to leave and Janine says goodbye to you three.

“Shiver me timbers tiny buckle! Time to abandon ship!” Barb says and Melissa laughs. Janine takes the cutout before Barb leaves.

“Congrats kid, your party made sea Barbra go full pirate. Didn’t know you had it in you.” Melissa says and goes to leave but Janine stops her.

“Yo-ho-ho leave the room.” Janine says and points to her purse. Melissa pulls out a bottle of alcohol. “Oh.”

“Oops.” Melissa says.

“How’d that get in there.” Janine playfully teases and you look at Melissa.

“How did that get in there? I was with you for most of the night.” You tell her and she just smiles as you leave together.

“Secret.” She tells you and does a shush motion and you giggle. You both get to your car and you turn it on while she buckles herself in. You put the car in drive and start the drive to Melissa’s place when she looks at you.

“What?” You ask her.

“Nothing. What if I still want to kiss you tomorrow morning?” She asks you and you freeze. You think that there’s a good chance she won’t remember any of this so you decide to answer.

“Well you probably won’t remember this so on the off chance you still want to kiss me tomorrow, then you can.” You tell her and she smiles at you. She starts humming on the way to her place.

You reach her place and you help get her inside and to her bed. You remove her boots and blazer before she gets on the bed.

“Do you also want to remove your shirt or just keep it on?” You ask her.

“You just want to see me shirtless.” She accuses while pointing at you.

“That’s not why. Your shirt doesn’t look comfortable to sleep in.” You tell her.

“Oh. It’s fine, I’ve slept wearing worse before.” She says and pulls the blanket on her.

“Alright, good night Melissa.” You say and she falls asleep. You go and get some Advil and a bottle of water and leave it on her nightstand. You leave her place and make sure to lock up with the spare key she gave you a couple months ago. You go home and get ready for bed before falling asleep yourself.

The next morning you’re cleaning up the dishes from breakfast when you hear a knock at your door. You’re still in your pjs, which is a tank top and shorts but you answer the door anyway. You see Melissa standing there looking a little worried.

“Morning Melissa, everything al-”

“I remember everything.” Is all she says and you look at her confused as you replay the conversations with her last night in your head and you realise what she’s talking about.

“Oh, I didn’t think you would.” Is all you say.

“Were you being honest when you said I could kiss you in the morning?” She asks and you nod.

“Ya.” Is all you have the chance to say before her lips are on yours. You immediately kiss her back and wrap your arms around her neck while hers go to your waist.

“I spent most of last night trying to flirt with you.” She tells you when you both pull back.

“I noticed some flirting.” You tell her and you both giggle.

This means I can't draw for 2-3 days.In general, it means that I try not to use my arm too much.

But don't worry, thanks to my doctor I'm getting better quickly and I don't have as much ache anymore, much less! Almost gone now!!🌟🌟🌟🎉

And besides these, I was trying to get accepted to the university, but I learned that my drawing skills were not enough for the animation university!( I knew this actually, my anatomy is really bad but I wanted to try my luck) It's a little sad, but I'm not discouraged!🫡

It saddens me to say this, but even though I've been drawing in the HazbinHotel fandom for months, I've lost my inspiration at the moment.I probably won't be able to share any content about HazbinHotel until I regain my inspiration because I can't think of an idea or get excited about series anymore.But of course this is a temporary thing, my fandom had faded before but then it blossomed again!!

This is valid for SSAU as well, I don't have any inspiration to develop AU or draw for AU right now. 

And thank you very much to my followers who have liked and supported my HazbinHotel content so far!!!

Same goes for my OCs, I'm putting my OCs like Constantine and Serenity and the archangels on the shelf for now.Of course I will use them again in the future when I get inspired about them again, I love my babies!

About SSAU inspired fanfics Thank you again for loving this AU and for being inspired to write your own fanfic!!!

It makes me really happy to see you having fun And it makes me proud to see that I inspire people!! 

But from now on I don't prefer to use my HH OCs to write Fanfics,There are a few reasons for this but the main one is that I can't give you much feedback anymore and I wanted you to know that and I really don't want to upset or disappoint anyone when it comes to feedback.

After months I've finally finished another drawing of Drow!!! This was a journey. I was able to get my first drawing pad yesterday so a majority of this was drawn with my mouse which was a struggle LMAO.

On the far left is my Durge Knell. A while back I asked how Drow would react to a reformed traditionalist female drow and this is the she in question. I honestly think their dynamic has potential because of the whole "their-lover-is-my-best-friend" situation going on.

This whole project led me on a self-guided tour through your page for Drow references and inspo for Shadowheart and Astarion, and let me just say, it is incredible to see how much your artstyle has changed and improved over time. It's really inspirational for someone like myself who has just recently begun to try to pick up digital art as a more involved hobby. Anyway, I'll stop rambling before I type a novella. I hope you enjoy the drawing!

Hey there, thanks so much for being a Coattails reader! As an aside, I'm not sure if you're totally caught up or not, but sorry I don't yet have an idea of when the next part will be ready. I only have 4k words written so far and chapter 33 is looking to be another doozy... I'll be sure to keep everyone informed of when we're close 🫡

Anyway, I have no idea if you're like me when it comes to Dadbastian, but I'm pretty particular about what I enjoy. Angst has to play a factor in some form, for instance. I also don't like it when Ciel and Seb are too sappy with each other without it being earned. There's a reason Coattails had like 250k words of build-up before Sebastian actually accepted his Dadbastian fate.

With that in mind, here are my suggestions!

bottom of the deep blue sea by sunflowergiorno Easily one of my favorite Dadbastian fics, hands down. I remember going positively bananas waiting for the second part to come out. It's so gentle and tender and honest. It perfectly showcases the thoughts and feelings I'd hoped for Sebastian and Ciel to have to approach after their experience on the Campania. Words, Strings, and Butterfly Wings by Kimberly_T I love this story so dearly, and it's tragic that it's unfinished. This fic is a retelling of the Circus Arc, in which Ciel and Sebastian must actually pretend to be father and son, sometimes with hilarious results, other times endearing. A major inspiration behind Coattails for sure. I would die for Falco, an original character who to me is more endearing than any of the canon Noah's Ark cast members.

Dadbastian Week Drabbles by HeartLeftovers Nobody does angst like HeartLeftovers, and you'll drink up her poetic language like nectar. My personal favorite is Midnight, but read Magnifying Glass and Domesticated Wolf first for the full impact of the final stanza.

Sensorium by OtherCat Short but sweet. A story about how Sebastian helps Ciel at the beginning of the contract to stop thinking like a boy trapped in a cage. I love that it shows that Sebastian couldn't possibly have frightened Ciel into becoming an earl: he had to actually coax Ciel towards it.

Singing in the Silence by Kimberly_T Another one from Kimberly_T. Not strictly Dadbastian, but a story about the servants learning how to help Ciel with his PTSD in their very own inventive and roundabout way. Heart-meltingly adorable. It's canon to me, dammit.

Front Page News by TheArchaeologist Also not strictly Dadbastian (in fact, Ciel is incapacitated the whole time), but I only need the slightest reason to suggest this Phantomfam-centric fic. Mey-Rin's voice is especially realized. Even though you already know Sebastian, Snake, and Ciel will make it back from the Campania in one piece, you feel the Pham's worry palpably.

Through the Years by Kimberly_T Can you tell yet that I love Kimberly_T? Admittedly, this one I haven't read with perfect thoroughness, but I can tell you that the Dadbastian moments are peak. Ciel hires a new maid, a woman who nearly killed him when he invaded a brothel on a mission for the Queen. Please mind that this involves some discussions of SA. Also mind that the story largely centers around an original character, but no one does OCs like Kimberly.

WOO YAY im glad i could inspire you to start writing!!!🙏and i get it, writing fanfic is defs self indulgent and for ourselves first and foremost, but obvs nobody wants to release their work into the void😩 as for how my own fic got popular, one of the main things is defs timing. i published the first chap basically within the first week of the game being out (it came out on the 10th and my chap was on the 18th) so it was there right at the peak/start of the fandom. but i also dont wanna attribute it all to timing BAHHA cuz i think im a pretty good writer and that helps....my fic also didnt get popular right away, but i was consistently posting every single week + eventually started adding art every single week, and was just really dedicated to not only writing but also drawing art for it (which is also obvs another huge factor/probs the biggest factor). ive had so many ppl tell me they started reading my fic bc they saw my art on pinterest or something LOL, and some ppl have even read it fandom-blind bc they were into the seb/clora dynamic??? which is another point actually. i always joke about how i love my cliches and good girl+bad boy dynamics, and that im unashamed about loving them LOL, but also...they're cliches for a reason!!! lots of us eat that shit up!!!😤so i think thats defs another factor, vs if my fic was a bit more niche and avant garde LOL the fandom is also (understandably) a lot slower than it was at the beginning of the year so itll be harder in general, but maybe you could commission art to go with your fanfic? ive seen a lot of other HL fanfic writers do it, and i think it defs helps to draw attention! This's Ush based on my headcanon, I'm going to explain everything about this Ush. I'll comment on the IDEA, I will explain the CONCEPT of the entire design and finally I'll tell you the LORE of this Ush (it will be a brief lore since it's not fully developed yet)

🔺The idea

Basically, the idea comes from a dream I had a few days ago haha. I dreamed about a heroic Ush that for some reason the Ush in my dream had white spots on his fur.

I thought it was so cool that I wanted to draw the Ush from my dream, But cooler would be to give him a lore and a reason. And something quite interesting occurred to me 👀 (when it comes to my favorite characters I put a lot of effort into it hahaha)

🔺Concept

The white spots reminded me of when Ush in the Remington comic suffered very serious burns. After sacrificing himself to save Bonta from a fearsome monster, he was reincarnated into a kitten, who in the comic kept those stains from the burns. I thought it would be cool to keep those burns in the form of white spots as a symbol of his sacrifice for the nation 🫡

As for him outfit, I was inspired by traditional oriental clothing, since Ush looks that type of clothing. This Ush is wearing a blue haori* ( *a traditional Japanese jacket) , very representative color of Bonta, with a silver headdress around the edges of the garment. He wears his uniform somewhat sloppy and more comfortable for combat. The red ropes on his legs are woolen threads.

As for the weapon, I opted for a lance because I liked one of first designs of Ush that had a lance, in that design, the lance had a bell hanging and I decided to add it as a reference. This spear isn't just any spear, I was inspired by the niginatas! a Japanese weapon. And of course i wasn't going to forget that he's an Ecaflip, therefore his weapon on the upper blade represents a ♠️, on the lower blade a ♦️, like playing cards, and because the original Ush carries two swords which also represents these symbols. I should also mention that the upper blade is also inspired by the tips of French spears.

With this design I wanted to make something neither so detailed nor so simple.

🔺The lore

This's the story of a different Ush, who after the threat of a terrible monster in the nation of Bonta, sacrificed himself putting an end to the monster and reincarnated into a new life

In addition to preserving his nobility, he was named as a hero of Bonta, Ush would continue to live up to this name and find the admiration he so desired to have, or that's what his lackeys told him, because Ush... He doesn't remember anything about his previous life.

He doesn't know who the Brotherhood of the Forgotten/The Siblings are, and they didn't go looking for him again either because his priorities changed. Although he isn't involved in these canonical events, who knows if he may meet the little eliatrope again 👀

she does need sleep! she doesn't need to sleep as often as people, but she's a little wraith and she needs to snooze every like... i dunno. three days? sure, let's go with that.

although in the first few days of her being on PNF404, i could see her getting bored one night and poking around her crewmate's rooms to see what they're doing (spoilers: they're all just sleeping). in the morning after, dingo talks about a very bizarre dream he had with a specter watching him sleep! everyone dismisses it as the ranger having some weird sleep paralysis, but pom's sweating at the table thinking about how she should be way more careful if she does that again.

this ask did inspire me though, i'll probably make more art explaining how she works sometime later hehe...

that'd be scary... although, if there's anyone incentivized to wraithify olimar, it'd probably be the plasm wraith! that golden goo is really fond of him, and they'd love to make olimar just like them

YES!!!!!!!!! there are so, so many ways that could happen and each one is hilarious... i've written out a few different scenarios, i should pick one to draw out... it'd be funny if dingo learns her secret but decides to trust her and keep it safe. but he's, you know. dingo. he's not good at lying, especially to his crewmates (and especially to his actual childhood friend of a doctor who was already very suspicious of the new blood!)

of COURSE i'm very abnormal about those two.... actually if y'all have scenarios you wanna see with those two, send more asks and i'll probably end up drawing them lol

that's actually a really good question! i haven't thought too much about how her full wraith would visually change, but if she ate enough and got stronger i imagine she'd finally be as big as the other two. she'd probably gain more wraithy abilities and attacks! trying to take down a powered up full wraith pom would be a very difficult fight, even for those with the best dandori skills and a full squad of pikmin

When Mc first came to Darkwick, they decided to keep one thing a secret. It's a huge secret too. They’re a zombie, Mc died a while back but doesn’t remember how they died. All they know is when and how they had found out. Mc met a strange man. This man has quite a loud voice too. This man is a scientist who brought them back to life. Though, they aren’t the only ones either. He had done this several times. Successfully too, before they joined the ghouls. They lived with the other Zombies. Mc would consider them family since they can’t go back to their original family. The scientist known as, “Father” now. Has made sure that if Mc and their siblings goes outside. They have to wear makeup and pretend to be, “normal.”

Father had forbidden any of them from leaving the house without makeup to cover their rotten flesh. Then again, makeup all over their body wasn’t all that comfortable. Yet, each of them has grown costume to it all. Father was also extremely protective of them. He’s extra when it comes to his personality, but he cares for each and every one of them. He also has rules set in place for them. No going out at night, avoid all types of water or anything that takes of the makeups, don’t talk to cops or strangers without him present, and if you are going somewhere, he needs to know where and when. If the outside world knows about zombies' roaming around. All hell will break through and each of them will be taken. 

This was extremely hard on Mc and the others when the news was broken to them. It was hard to fathom that they were dead. None of them remembers how they died. Well, now some of them knows but Mc doesn’t remember how they died. Father has told them that one day they will remember. He didn’t tell them himself because he simply couldn’t. When they do remember, he tells them that his and their siblings will be there for them. 

So, as time goes on. Mc lives their life the best they can. Now they were on campus, at Darkwick. Things moves so fast that sometimes Mc wishes that time would freeze. First, they were going home on a train, then they were attacked, now they are at Darkwick assisting the ghouls. Mc first debated if they wanted to tell the ghouls that they are a zombie, but they were afraid of what the school would do. They were also scared of their friends' reactions too. So, to keep themselves safe. They kept it too themselves.

Ren: 

The first time Mc’s secret came out, it was when they were helping Ren with the water anomalies. They knew better, they totally knew better. It was one of Father’s rules, stay away from anything that can wash up the makeups. Yet, they really wanted to see the aquatic anomalies. Ren needed to feed them. So, as he went to get the foods. They stayed put near the water. One of the anomalies wanted to play. It started to make little bubbles as Mc watches. They laughed while watching the cute thing. Mc wanted to pet the little dolphin’s head. Yet, they knew better. They were tempted, while biting their lower lip and hugging their knees. They ended up giving up and reached out to pet the dolphin. However, they ended up slipping and fell into the water. They panicked as the makeup on their body washes up. Now their dark grayish blue skin was visible. They pulled themselves out of water.  

As they crawl on the dry ground. Ren had come back with a bucket of food. Ren had come back with the grubs for the aquatic anomalies. In shock, he drops the bucket as he stares at Mc. Since the makeup has been washed off, a huge stitched up scar on their face was now visible. The scar starts from the top of their forehead on the left side of their face. Then it runs down over their nose to the right of their cheek. Ren sees how different their skin looks too. Its darker, like a light gray with a tiny tint of blue. But that's not all that freaks him out. It was the fact, your foot with the shoe had come off. Mc hasn’t seen Ren yet, nor hears him. They reached out to pick up their foot that was floating in water. Then they popped in right back on like it was nothing new to them. 

“A-AHHHHHH!” Mc jumps from the scream and quickly turns around. They see Ren and tries to get him to calm down. 

“Ren, I can explain! Please stop screaming!” They desperately, begs him to calm down. Once he calms down, he demanded answers. So, they sighed and took a deep breathe. They patted the spot next to them. He sits down and Mc tells him everything.  

“So, that’s that, you’re not going to tell the school, are you?” They asked, fearful that he would tell the school. But he shakes his head no and rubs the back of his neck. 

“No, I won’t say anything. This will be our secret. It just caught me off guard, that’s all.” He reassures them, causing them to smile and laugh softly. 

“Thanks Ren, I owe you one.” 

“Just don’t pull a limb off in front of me. At least try not too...” He tells them, he’s cool with seeing it in movies. Though in real life, it’s different. The real-life sounds, the sight of it. Yeah no, he isn't a fan of it. 

“You mean I can’t lend a hand?” They spoke jokingly as they take off their right hand. 

“ARGGGHHH!” He screams again, Mc pops their right hand back on. 

“Okay, okay, I’m sorry! I won’t do that again!”

Leo: 

Once again, Leo needed Mc to help him listen to Alan’s and Tohma conversation. So, there they were. Sitting on the couch, right next to Leo. Completely bored out of their mind. Leo has been holding their hand for nearly an hour. Mc was starting to grow bored by the minute. They tried scrolling through their phone to keep them busy. Yet, nothing grabbed their attention. Mc needed two hands if they wanted to play their games. They tried watching TikTok or YouTube, but they forgot their earbuds. 

They sighed heavily as they rolled their eyes. 

“Quit moving, you’re distracting me.” 

“Leo, I’m bored...” Mc whines impatiently as they pout. He ignores them and continue what he is doing. After a few more minutes. Mc starts to think about what to do to keep them occupied. Then, it hits them. Why not freak him out? He’s only holding one of their hands. Mc can easily slip away. So, slowly they start to remove their arm that Leo was holding. Leo wasn’t paying attention to Mc much. He was scrolling on TikTok as he listens to Alan’s and Tohma conversation. 

Slowly, Mc was able to slip away and slide of the couch. All without Leo knowing. They have always wonder if the ring would still enhance the ghoul's stigma with their arm being detached. Some of the ghouls already knew that Mc was a zombie. So, they shouldn’t be surprised if a limb or so, pops off. Right? 

Well, after they slip away from Leo. They head down to the kitchen where Sho is. They have told Sho what they did, and they shared a laugh. Sho have asked them to take Leo’s lunch to him. And so, they did. Upon arriving back in the room where Leo was. They stand beside him and tells him, they brought lunch. 

Leo looks up from his phone, see Mc, and then looks at his hand; holding theirs. He sees their hand in his, but that can’t be? He does a doubletake and realized by their grin. That they have removed their arm to sneak away. 

“Very funny NPC.” He rolls his eyes as Mc laughs little by his reaction. They sat back down next to him and still doesn’t place their arm back on. 

“Well. you did ask me to lend a hand” They joked, and Leo glared at them for their lame joke. Secretly finding it cringy in a funny way.  ----------------(o゜▽゜)o☆-------------

Ritsu: 

Ritsu and Mc needed his captain to sign papers again. Unfortunately, Taiga was in a mood. Not a good mood, a terribly bad mood. Mc and Ritsu had tried to reason with him. Yet, all has failed. Taiga ended up pulling out his gun and points it at Ritsu and Mc. 

“Get lost, you’re pissing me off.” He spoke in an indignant voice. Taiga’s eyebrows lowered and knit together, his jaw tightens and his lips curls into a frown. Whatever happened, has really set Taiga off. Once again, he tells them to leave. Ritsu, takes a step closer to him and tries to negotiate. Then, a gunshot was heard. Ritsu, didn’t have enough time to activate his stigma, though. He doesn’t feel any pain? Ritsu had open his eyes, only to see Mc. Shielding him from the bullets that were fired. 

In shock, he sees that Mc had a gun wound on their left arm and upper chest. He thinks that Mc was going to die or bleed to death. Yet, they didn’t collapse. Mc was still stand, they turned to Ritsu and ask if he's okay. 

“I’m alright, but what about you? What were you think?” He turns the questions to Mc. He was filled with worry and questions. How are they not bleeding? Aren’t they in pain? Why would they jump in front of him like that? Are they stupid and reckless? So many questions came across his own mind. Mc quickly grabs his hand, and they dash out of the room before Taiga strikes again. 

“Mc, tell me what is going on?” Ritsu demands answer, he feels confused. Not a feeling he likes to feel. He always finds an answer, otherwise it’ll bother him until he gets an answer. Mc nervously shuffled their feet on the floor as the thwittled their thumbs. 

“Well...” And so, they explain what is happening to him. About them being a zombie, on why there isn’t any blood, why they aren’t in pain, and any other questions he has. He was fascinated by what Mc is telling him. 

“A zombie, that would explain things. So can you remove any parts of your body?” He asked Mc. His eyes hold a shinning bright look, he even wrote down a few details of the answers to his questions. Mc smiled and nodded their head. They reached for their head and pops it off of their body. His eyes widen from the scene. 

“I can still talk if I lose my head” Once again, they joked with a cheeky grin. Maybe being a zombie wasn’t so bad after all.

saw @droughtofapathy's version of this and was inspired to do my own - this was my first year writing fic, and i thought i would just do one little thing and be done with it, but have now written 6 fics! and am excited to keep at it and continue to improve/write longer works. huge huge thanks to @ensorcei, who has been my beta and biggest cheerleader (and also encouraged me to do this wrapped post!)

Most hits: A Craving, Not A Crush (191 hits) - turns out if you write something with more than one chapter you will get more hits?

Longest: A Gem Among Pebbles is the technically correct answer, at 10,502 words. However, it was a collaboration with two other writers, and I only wrote about 1,200 words of it. The more accurate answer is Love Is A Ring, The Telephone at 6,706 words.

Shortest: Two People Staring (2,647 words)

Most comments: Some Things Are Singular (12 comments) - like I said above, a lot of people wanted to support me on my first fic, and that's why I think it's the most commented, despite not being the best.

Favorite comment: I never thought I would write smut and then found myself giving it a go with Love Is A Ring, The Telephone and was so nervous about how it came out, and one of my very favorite Hacks writers @skatehepburn (who is an incredible writer of smut) left me this comment, and it single-handedly made me believe I could keep writing this kind of thing:

I AM SO PROUD OF YOU 😭😭😭😭 I famously LOVE a phone sex fic and this is no exception! "She shouldn’t have been surprised that Blanche was interrupting her before she could even get a full sentence out, but she always gave Blanche the benefit of the doubt, even when—perhaps especially when—Blanche least deserved it. " ahhhhh this is such a good distillation of their whole deallll "“When I sit across the table from her at dinner, I don’t think about what it would feel like to have her mouth on me.”" THIS IS THE MOMENT I SAID THIS SMUT IS FOR ME Blanche being a little bit subby??? SO SPECIAL ugh i love when characters have to SAY OUT LOUD why they're so gone on each other, it never gets old 🥲 may this be the start of a long and illustrious smut-peddling career for you 🫡

Also, these are not public, but @ensorcei gives me detailed feedback on my drafts that always counts as my favorite comments, and her seeing my development over each fic really kept me going the entire year.

Fics that made me cry: I famously do not cry at fics, and so even though it was published in 2019 (and I read it in 2019, not 2024), I must always hype the only fic that ever made me cry, @beauregardslionetts's Nothing But Strawberries, which is possibly the most famous fic in the Vanity fandom for very good reason.

Fics that made me smile: The Art of a Perfect Epilogue by silasfinch; and Don't you leave me this way by Imagine_rhetoric both because I really enjoyed both of the fics themselves and also because, before this, I had basically recruited all of the writers for this fandom and these two came out of nowhere. The surprise of two unexpected fics, and the knowledge that these two writers saw what I saw in this pairing, completely independently of me, made me smile so big. Really grateful they published in this fandom and would love to see more from them!

Gifts: An incredible thing about the Blanche/Judith fandom is that like 80%+ fics written (that I did not write myself) are gifts for me. More of those gifts were written in 2022-2023, but this year that included:

Love Is A Ring, The Telephone was a gift for @ensorcei and @dkc2017

Collaborations: Just before the end of the year, I, along with @sapphicscholar, helped add a few final scenes to A Gem Among Pebbles, primarily written by @dkc2017, to bring the fic to the world. I love these two writers more than I can possibly express and I am so happy this fic is out there for anyone to read now. The best fics are those that remind you of why you love a pairing and both of my co-authors did that for me.

Word count read: I am not doing math for this but I didn't actually read that much fic this year because I was concentrating on writing and didn't really get into any new ships. But I did read everything @sapphicscholar wrote for Hacks so that's at least ~100k words.
