I wish to know your thoughts on the greatest petpet of all... The Rock.
Just literally making a petpet based off the pet rock craze is already pretty funny, but what makes it particularly funny is that it really is just A Rock; they didn't try to slap googly eyes on it or something, it's just a rock that has some vaguely face-like indents and that's it. Art wise, it's also surprisingly well-shaded and has a nice shape to it.
What makes the Rock even funnier is that you can paint it like any other petpet, but most of the colours are fundamentally silly with great concepts. Sometimes I do think they start to get a bit too out there (the Valentine rock shown above really has nothing to do with rocks whatsoever, for example), but they're always a fun time.
Favorite Colours:
Christmas: Not the fanciest Rock colour or anything, but making it into a lump of coal is just perfect, and the little ribbon around it gives it the perfect amount of Christmas-y vibes without ruining the concept.
Woodland: While this one arguably falls into the "not really a rock category", it makes sense for this colour because all woodland pets become wooden, and it's still a simple nature-based item. There's nothing super special about this one beyond it just being wood, but something about the integration of the "face" is really pleasing.
Island: Codestones are items that are familiar to any player, so once again, this concept is completely perfect and super simple in its execution. My only minor complaint about this one is that I feel like pet Rocks are funniest when they have implied faces, and there was no real reason to drop the face on this one. Also, the black outlines feel a little heavy.
BONUS: The same note about the face also applies to this one and the shape makes it a little harder to identify as a pet Rock if you didn't know better, but otherwise this is just plain funny. (A shoutout to the Tyrannian Rock, which didn't quite make the cut due to relativity poor art but is also pretty dang clever.)
Least Favorite Colour:
Chocolate: Should have a bonbon, but even putting that aside, there's just no visual appeal to this one. The whipped cream looks weirdly flat, the chocolate shavings look like hair, and you probably wouldn't be able to guess this was chocolate out of context.

Gonna Give All My Secrets Aw-a-ay

Birds are annoying. I mean, seriously. When you're trying to sleep and they're just going "Cheerp cheerp! CHEERP CHEERP!" Honestly, it sounds like they're screaming.
The pain had been immense, the way I imagined being a vampire and being set on fire must feel. You know, if you're set on fire alive. They weren't kidding when they said becoming a vampire was painful.
I much preferred the vampire diary way. Drink some vampire blood. Snap your neck. Ba bam- you're a vampire.
I wondered how long it was exactly that I was out. I knew it ranged anywhere between two to five days, depending on where the venom was injected and lots of other lovely factors. The stronger the heart, the shorter the time. And if the venom was injected into the heart or near it, then it was more on the two to three day side.
Of course, the ending brought tears that couldn't spill to my eyes. Watching memories. I could see everything that had ever happened in my life play backwards. From the pain, to the wedding, the Marcel's changing, to the newborn fight, to spying on Seattle, to being in Kentucky with some of my family, finding out I was a werewolf, Sam's sister, and then there was Laurent trying to kill me, Edward telling me about them leaving, being in the hospital because of James, coming to Forks, the last few years of working to get a plane ticket, the bombs going off, Azim and I kissing, Azim and I laughing, meeting Azim's parents, going to gymnastics meets and Tae Kwon Do competitions, learning military strategy, moving to the base, being back in Forks, running around with Paul and Sam, swimming in the ocean, Kol's birth, Josh arguing with Sam's mother, a four year old playdate with Tyler Crawley, and then being born in a hospital.
My eyes snapped open. The pain was gone. Good. It felt like I had been burning for years.
The first thing I heard were birds and I almost groaned in annoyance. But I could also hear squirrels crunching on nuts, rabbits sprinting through the forest, a mountain lion- or maybe a bear but it definitely had hunting feet- walking over stone and rock, the violent flapping of hummingbird wings.
Feeling wise, I could feel the soft fabric of the sheets beneath me. Soft, fluffy, and warm. I could also feel that I was wearing something made of silk, but I didn't move my head to look down quite yet.
As for the smells. . . I could smell so many different smells. There was cinnamon, hyacinth, pear, sourdough bread, pine, vanilla, leather, apple, moss, lavender, chocolate, lemon and lime, tomato sauce, almonds-ew-, roses, jasmine, lilies, plastic, and so many other different smells. The strongest smell was seawater.
I took in a shuddering breath, feeling the air move through my lungs, but not really. I looked around the room. The ceiling was white, dust motes flying in the air. I could read the titles of all the books on the shelf across the room.
I sat up slowly, moving my legs over to the side of the bed, getting to my feet. I caught sight of myself in the mirror and stared in horror at the red eyes. My dark hair and pale complexion gave me a Snow White complexion. I was just missing the blue eyes.
I had been lucky with my complexion though. I had been captured in a mid-tan state, my dark skin coming out only after being in the sun for long periods of hours. I now looked Half-Cullen like, Half- Quileute like and I loved it.
I pursed my lips at the choice of dress Alice had clearly dressed me in. It was a green colour that balanced out the skin and eyes nicely. Except for the fact that I was not wanting to be in it. I much rather wanted to wake up in jeans and a T-shirt.
I could hear voice downstairs and I could distinguish Emmett, Jasper, Carlisle, Alice, and Bree's voices.
I darted down the stairs, stopping in front of Alice, my arms crossed angrily.
"Davina!" Carlisle said in surprise, "You're up early."
"Early?" I questioned, raising an eyebrow.
"It's only been two days." Emmett said, looking me over, "Looking good Mama bear."
"Really Alice?" I questioned, gesturing to the dress. "Really?"
"What? It's a wonderful dress to go on your first hunting trip in." Alice said, putting an elbow on Jasper's arm.
I looked at her incredulously, "You want me to go hunting in. . . this?"
Jasper shifted uncomfortably, "That's what you care about?"
I looked up at my favorite son, "What do you mean?"
Jasper looked confused, "I don't understand this."
I stared at him blankly and then looked around for an explanation. Bree was the one who answered, "He means. . . you care more about the idea of your hunting attire than thirst."
"Oh." I said, thinking. I concentrated on my throat but I didn't feel anything. "Where should I feel. . . hungry?"
They all stared at me in surprise, "In your throat." Emmett explained.
I concentrated and then shook my head, "Maybe I'm just not thirsty yet."
"Maybe we should go hunting anyways." Carlisle suggested, reaching out to take my hand. I slid my hand into his, feeling the smoothness of his palm, the creases where the lines were, and finding that he was no longer cold nor hot, but that we were the same temperature now.
I looked up at him, staring into his honey coloured eyes and then reached up to kiss him on his lips. He tased wonderful, like things I couldn't even put into words. His lips were hesitant against mine and full. I pulled away, smiling, "Let me go change."
"No." Alice pretty much growled at me.
I sighed, "Yes, let me try tackling a grizzly bear in this dress. It'll get ripped and I actually kind've like it."
"You could go nude." Emmett said, grinning and winking at Carlisle who rolled his eyes.
I actually kind've liked the idea.
Jasper shook his head, drifting away from the room. I looked after him, my smile fading, "What's wrong?"
"He has never seen a newborn with this kind of self control." Alice said and then drifted after him.
"Oh. Great. I'm still weird even after my death." I muttered.
"I don't know." Emmett said in a serious voice, smirking. "You haven't quoted Harry Potter once since you've awoken. You might be going sane."
I stuck my tongue out at him and then tugged on Carlisle's hands. "Come on then."
Carlisle and I exited the house. It was a sunny day and I stared, my hand outstretched as the sun bounced off my skin, sending sparkles out, glittering across the pavement. I stared at Carlisle whose face was glittering.
"You look so handsome." I murmured, wanting to take him to bed at that moment.
Carlisle smiled and I felt my heart do flips. Well. . . not my heart, but ya know.
"And you look absolutely breathtaking." He breathed.
"Except the eyes." I said with a sigh, preening as he swept a strand of my long black hair back from my face.
He gazed at me, sliding his thumb across my cheek and I relished the feeling of his hand. "Even with the eyes you are stunning."
"Well," I said, taking his hand, squeezing it lightly. "Let's go hunt some animals and make them gold."
Carlisle nodded, "Ready?"
I nodded, preparing myself, and then started to run.
It was amazing. It was better than my motorcycle. I flew across the forest, laughing a little, and when we reached the creek, I leaped without thinking, feeling myself almost fly as I crossed the water.
I landed lightly on the balls of my feet, continuing to run, thinking of nothing but the wind caressing my skin and then- Carlisle stopped me.
"We don't want to go to far." He purred. His eyes were raging between black and yellow and I smirked.
"Well hello, Lord. I see you're trying to make an appearance."
"Well," the eyes became completely black, "You look completely ravishing like this."
"You've completely taken over Carlisle." I complained lightly, walking my finger sup his tight sweater.
"He's trying to figure out your self control so he's to distracted to try and take over." Lord smirked before smashing his lips to mine.
Oh yes. I liked where this was going.
My back hit a tree, making the plant shake underneath my body. I barely felt the bark scraping against my impenetrable skin, pushing back fiercely against Lord's lips. So rough and smooth and delicious.
His hands ripped the dress from behind and I tore his sweater off of him. I growled, seeing the light blue buttoned up shirt underneath. "You wear to many clothes Lord."
"Blame Carlisle." Lord growled, biting at the skin on my neck. He pulled back and murmured, "I can leave a bruise. Good."
I chuckled before using strength and speed, sending the both of us crashing into an opposite tree as I pressed against him tightly.
And then I paused, lips hovering above his, "The kids?"
Lord's black eyes melted, becoming tawny again and Carlisle actually shook his head like he was trying to clear his mind. HIs eyes lingered over where he'd ripped part of my dress, revealing the top of my cleavage. He cleared his throat and said, "I do apologize for that. And they're at our house. We can go see them after we hunt."
I nodded, my mind focused solely on the hunt. "Let's find a few rabbits then."
He raised an eyebrow, "Rabbits?"
"Or squirrels." I muttered, thinking back to Vampire Diaries. "That's what they eat in Vampire Diaries."
Carlisle chuckled, reaching out his hand. I took it without hesitation. "Let's find you a mountain lion, shall we?"
I laughed lightly, running again. This time, I led, following my heightened senses to a cave.
"Can I just walk in there and eat it?" I questioned.
Carlisle seemed a little anxious and muttered, "Maybe we should find deer instead."
I raised an eyebrow. "It's not like the mountain lion is going to hurt me."
The mountain lion suddenly paced out of the cave, growling at me.
I could smell it, and while it was appealing, it didn't send me wild like I thought it might've. I stalked forward, avoiding its claws, and bit down into the neck.
I tasted the blood, gushing into my mouth. It was. . . sweet? I don't know how else to describe it. It was satisfying, but it tasted different and I realized that was because I was dissecting the different tastes of the blood. I could taste the water, the salt, and even the plasma. I wrinkled my nose a little bit, trying to ignore the taste that way.
I pulled back once I was done. I had done pretty well, I thought. I'd barely spilled any blood on my dress. I turned to look at Carlisle who had a strange expression on his face.
"What?" I asked, racking my brain. "Did you want some?"
"It's not that." He said softly, coming over and pulling me into his arms. "It's just. . . well first it's very hard watching you drain something that would normally kill you. And for another, you're thirst didn't take you over. You were very calm in your feeding. And. . . you also didn't seem to enjoy it."
"Well." I said, frowning slightly. "I've always liked big cats. Maybe I should go after a bear instead. Those scare me. I might not feel as bad about killing a bear than a cat. And well, for another, it was the taste."
"What do you mean?"
"I could taste the individual components of the blood." I explained, wiping my bottom lip. "The water, the salt, the plasma, it wasn't the best taste in the world."
"Oh." Carlisle whispered, frowning deeper.
"Now can we go see our kids?" I asked.
Carlisle was still staring at me and I recognized this face from my months of interning under him. He was analyzing me like a data project. "Carlisle?"
He snapped out of it. "Our kids? Yes, we can go see them now."
"It's only been two days. . ." I murmured, "What are they like?"
"They're wonderful." Carlisle said with a small smile, "Come on, I want you to meet them."
"Are they. . . have you noticed any signs of danger from them at all?" I asked in worry as we ran back, not to the main Cullen house, but our small cottage.
"Nothing." Carlisle said and then frowned slightly. "They bite a lot. Esme- she's the one whose been helping me take care of them but she hasn't told anyone else about them- she said that when our little girl bites, she doesn't feel anything. But the boys are venomous."
"Two boys and a girl?" I breathed out.
Carlisle nodded, "The boys are identical. The girl looks more like me."
I smiled. "What did you name them?"
We stopped running once were in front of the front door to the house. Carlisle stopped me, picking me up into his arms, carrying me across the threshold before kissing me on the lips.
I giggled as he set me back down on my feet.
"I'm letting you name them." Carlisle murmured.
I shivered, nervous. I already had boy names in my head, but nothing for the little girl.
"Carlisle?" Esme's voice floated out the door. She appeared, holding a very small baby with long golden locks in her arms. My breath caught in my throat at the sight of my daughter.
"Oh." I gasped.
Esme's hold tightened around the baby. "They're still part human Davina."
Carlisle wrapped his arms around me tightly. "Breathe deeply."
I was nervous, not wanting the scent of my daughter to attract me. I let out a stuttering breath and then breathed in.
I could smell honey, cinnamon, and parchment, like the way Carlisle smelled. And I could smell her blood which smelled sweeter than the mountain lion, but it was nothing. I felt nothing. I was still relaxed in Carlisle's arms and then asked, "Can I hold her now?"
Esme was shocked, looking from me to Carlisle.
"Maybe you have a self control gift." Carlisle said, but he didn't relax his arms. I sighed, staring a the blond girl.
"She doesn't look like she's two days old. . ." I whispered.
"She's around three and a half months." Carlisle whispered behind me.
Fear spiked through me, "So. . . she's aging much faster than normal?"
"Yes." Esme said. "All three of them are."
"But- but then- then they might not live very long." I panicked. Venom stung at my eyes and I quickly blinked.
"No, they might not." Carlisle said, kissing my cheek.
"Oh." I whimpered.
"Esme, I think she's alright." Carlisle said, letting go of me.
I stepped forward cautiously, extending my arms for the little girl. Esme handed her over and I shivered. Her skin was warm, her heartbeat faster than I thought it should be. Her eyes were ice blue and I looked at Carlisle, trying to imagine him with blue eyes.
He smiled a little, "I could put contacts in if that helps your imagination."
I giggled a little, the sound lighter and less horse-goat-sheep sounding than it used to be. More like an angel now I guess. "Sorry. Personally, I was thinking your eyes might've been green."
"Sorry to disappoint."
I was suddenly by his side, pressing my lips to his, our daughter between us, "You don't disappoint me. Ever."
Then I pulled away and was in the babies room in a heartbeat. The two boys truly were identical, around the same size as their sister.
"Do you have names?" Esme asked me quietly.
I nodded, "For the boys anyways."
The only difference between the boys was that one of them had short black hair while the other one had curls and they were a tad degree lighter.
I handed the baby girl back to Esme with reluctance, picking up the one with straight black hair. I held him out to Carlisle and said, "This is Samuel Carlisle Cullen."
Carlisle smiled, kissing the top of my head, before taking his son into his arms. I turned back, picking up the last baby, looking into his eyes and said softly. "This is Niklaus Kol Cullen."
Niklaus after the hybrid. Kol was after my brother.
I turned to the girl, having no idea what to name her. Nothing seemed to fit her right. Kijana? Jasiri? Temperance? Kisa? Naomi? Camille? Luna? Kiara?
"Caroline. . . Elizabeth Cullen." I finally decided.
"Those are all wonderful names." Esme decided.
I hesitated and then asked, "I feel so normal. Why?"
Carlisle shook his head, "This could be your gift. Self-control."
"Do the children show any signs of gifts?" I asked.
"Not yet." Esme said. "But of course, they might not be able to have gifts. Or maybe they'll develop later."
I nodded and then looked at Carlisle, "I need to make a call."
------------------------
I paced by the treaty line. I was terrified, unsure. Carlisle stood nearby. He had promised to be there so that I wouldn't hurt them.
"They're coming." Carlisle said and then laughed quietly. "I didn't have to tell you that."
I smiled a little. "It'll take some getting used to, I'm sure."
Sam appeared first and I was surprised he wasn't in wolf form.
I felt a smile break out over my face at the sight of him. "Hey Sammy."
"Hey shorty." He said, grinning. "You look. . . yourself. 'Cept the eyes."
I shuddered, "I hate the eyes. But. . . Carlisle thinks I have the gift of self-control. Yay I guess. I was kind've hoping to be able to shoot lightning from the sky but I'll take what I can get."
Sam raised an eyebrow, looking between Carlisle and I. "She really hasn't changed at all."
Carlisle chuckled, "No. No she hasn't."
"How is everyone?" I asked. "Have you heard from Jacob at all?"
Sam paused and then said, "How about you come down on the Rez."
I blinked. "What?"
Sam sighed, "Billy, Sue, Old Quil, and I. . . well we might've come up with a late wedding gift for you. We decided, as you're basically the wolves mother, you could come down on the Rez. You're the only one, mind you, although Carlisle, you're not that bad."
"Thanks." Carlisle muttered, but he looked worried, "Are you sure you're okay with this?"
I paused, glancing over at Sam and then sniffed tentatively. I cocked my head to the side, "You don't smell."
Sam looked surprised and then said, "You don't smell either. Well, not bad anyways."
Carlisle looked stunned. "I don't understand this at all."
I tilted my head, "Could it be because I'm- or was- half werewolf? So maybe I don't have an aversion to them?"
Carlisle hesitated, "I need to research this."
He was in front of me in a flash, taking my face in his hands, kissing me hard. I kissed back fiercely, wrapping my fingers into his hair. We kissed until Sam cleared his throat. "I'm as romantic as either of you, but I don't like watching my little sister kiss anyone."
I giggled, pulling back from Carlisle. "I'll see you back at our house, okay?"
Carlisle kissed the side of my head, pulling away slowly, and then he was gone.
I hesitated on the brink of the treaty line before carefully stepping over it. I looked around nervously and then said, "No booby traps?"
He chuckled. "None."
I reached my arms out hesitantly and then he pulled me into a hug. I inhaled his warm, comforting smell. Like jasmine and spices, sweat and leather rolled into one. I sighed. "I'm glad you smell the same."
"What do I smell like?" Sam questioned.
"Jasmine, spices, sweat, and leather." I mumbled, feeling embarrassed. "It's a good combination."
"Hmm." Sam said, pulling away, wrapping an arm around my shoulder, pulling me through the forest. "And you smell like honey, almonds, peaches, and lime."
I growled. "I know I smell like fruit. I've been told several times."
Sam chuckled.
Very soon, we were at Emily's house.
"Umm, Sam." I said in a small voice as Emily came out to greet us. I grabbed his shirt, hiding halfway behind him.
"Davina!" Emily cried happily, stopping short of me. I hesitated, almost trembling behind Sam. The last thing I wanted to do was hurt Emily. I noticed Jared and Paul emerge, looks of excitement on their faces too.
"Hey Vampire mom!" Jared called, jogging over.
I shivered.
"It's alright Davina." Sam said. "You're not going to hurt them."
I inhaled deeply, smelling for Emily's scent directly. And though I smelled her, though her blood smelled divine, there was no unnecessary craving for it.
I let go of Sam's shirt a little, taking a few steps till I was closer to Emily, but still hesitating. "Hi." I said softly.
Emily threw her arms around me, taking me by shock, making me freeze. Sam was there in a second, worry in his eyes until I very slowly put my arms around her.
"That wasn't so bad." I mumbled as she pulled away.
Sam seemed rather relieved. "So. . ."
"I mean. . .you smell good." I said half-heartedly, still really nervous. Though I couldn't smell the werewolves as awful, my nerves were tingling like I knew I was being surrounded by enemies, "But I'm not craving after your blood. Or any blood for that matter." I frowned a little. "I hunted a mountain lion today. It didn't taste as good as I thought it might."
"You hunted a mountain lion?" Jared asked with a grin. "What was it like?"
"Boring." I said slowly. "It kind've just stood there while I killed it. Maybe it was in shock?"
"But you said it didn't taste good?" Sam asked, frowning slightly.
I shifted uncomfortably. They were okay with this conversation? "Well. . . I could taste everything individually. The water, the salt, the plasma. It wasn't very good. The water was most potent in taste, but it didn't taste. . . it didn't taste like blood really."
"Interesting." Jared said.
"Mom!" Seth's voice called from behind me and a brilliant smile lit up my face. I turned, dashing towards him and wrapping my arms around him. I was very careful not to squeeze him to tightly though.
"Hi Seth." I said with a grin.
I could hear Jared and Paul complaining behind me about how I hadn't hugged them.
I darted till I was in front of Jared and Paul and hugged both of them too.
"Paul imprinted." Seth offered.
My eyes lit up, "Really!"
Paul rolled his eyes but he was trying not to smile either. "Yeah. Jacob's sister. Rachel."
"Quil imprinted too." Jared said.
"Really?" I asked, astonished. "Did everyone imprint while I was dead?"
"No." Seth said glumly. "I haven't. Neither has Leah or Embry or Jacob or Collin or Brady."
I ruffled Seth's hair. "Well good. You're to young for love."
Embry and Quil showed up sometime later. I found out that Quil had imprinted on a two year old named Claire, who happened to be related to Leah and Emily.
Privately, I was thinking that it made sense they were imprinting on each other's family members. Jacob was a powerful member of the wolf family. Which meant his sisters' technically had the gene too. So it made sense for Paul to imprint on one of the sisters. And anyone related to Leah, Seth, and Emily would have strong genes too from Harry's side of things. Same with Quil's blood line.
I didn't stay long, not wanting to overstay my welcome for one thing, but also wanting to get back home to Carlisle.
Unfortunately, Paul still wasn't good at keeping his nose out of other people's business. "So what are you going to do tonight?"
I raised an eyebrow. "I have no idea."
"So you and doctor aren't going to. . . get it on?" Paul smirked.
I wish I could've blushed. I scowled at him instead, putting my hands over Seth's ears. "Not in front of the kids dumbass."
Paul snickered.
I got to my feet, swooping down and kissing Sam on the cheek. "I'll come back soon, I promise."
"Stay safe." Sam said and I smirked, rolling my eyes.
And then I was gone, running back for the treaty line, back into the forest, and back to my house.
Our house.
Carlisle and mine house.
I stepped inside.
"Carlisle?"
Carlisle was in front of me in an instant. "Shh, they're asleep."
"They sleep!" I said, delighted.
He nodded, smiling slightly. "Did you have a good time at the reservation?"
I nodded, "I was very happy."
"Good." Carlisle whispered, moving his lips to the skin underneath my ear. "Mm, do I get you all to myself tonight?"
I giggled, "Yes you do."
"Good." Carlisle growled.
Before I knew it, we were in our bedroom, on the bed. I was under him, his dark gold eyes practically glowing.
I yanked him down to me, my hands wrapped in his reddish-yellow locks, pulling his lips to crash down on mine. He growled against my lips, his tongue fighting for dominance against my open lips. Except this time, I could hold my own fight.
Our tongues mixed together, creating new sensations while his hands traveled down to my shirt. He didn't even bother unbuttoning it, ripping it in half instead and I was grateful that it was a new top I hadn't gotten attached to yet.
I rolled over, pressing him down to the bed, gripping his hips with my legs, squeezing tightly as I tore his shirt apart, blue buttons flying and scattering across the floor.
I pressed my lips right above his pants line, licking a stripe all the way up his chest, his neck, all the way to his earlobe before nipping at it. He growled again, his fingers pulling at the stretchy leggings I was wearing, pulling them downwards and they were discarded as well.
My fingers worked fast, undoing his belt, yanking it out of the belt loops, tossing it away. It fell to the ground with a dull clink. I unzipped the black dress pants, pulling them down quickly. His arms were behind my head in an instant, his body pressed against mine and I could feel his member pressing against my mound.
Our mouths moved furiously in sync with each other, our hands tangled in each others' hair. I moaned against his lips as one of his hands traveled down to my heat, rubbing my clit with lightning fast speed between his fingers.
The sensations were even more erotic as a vampire. They hadn't been lying when they said your emotions were heightened. This was at least ten times better than when I had been human.
"C-C-Carlisle." I moaned out. "Please."
He plunged three fingers into me, thrusting them in and out at a furious pace, rubbing my clit even faster.
My eyes rolled back in my head as I clutched his shoulders before I bit down on his bottom lip, his fingers bringing me over the edge, and I released all over them.
I could smell the arousal now, bitter and exotic and sharp. Carlisle slowly pulled his fingers from my warmth, sticking them in his mouth, licking them clean.
I wanted to ask if that actually tasted good, but didn't want to ruin the moment either.
Carlisle smashed his lips to mine again, flipping me back over on my back into the pillows. I could taste myself on him, something that seemed highly erotic and actually somewhat pleasant. My tastes and his tastes all mixed together.
"Carlisle." I growled, missing the fullness between my legs. I rolled over so that he was pressed into the sheets, angling myself to go down on him.
His hands shot to my hips, thrusting me back into the pillows, before pounding into me. He bottomed out and I gasped in pleasure, eyes rolling backwards before I recovered, bucking my hips to get him to move.
He moved in and our, faster than I thought possible, even with the speeds we could run.
I was a whimpering mess under him, surrendering to him completely. "Carlisle , please!"
"What baby? What do you need?" Carlisle purred lowly in my ear, his dick a blur as he thrusted in and out of me.
I whimpered, wanting more, "More, Carlisle, more."
"More what baby?"
My eyes rolled back into my head, my hands gripping his shoulders.
I had no idea what I wanted more of, I just knew I wanted more. "Faster."
The fuck? Could he go faster? Something was wrong with my br-
He thrusted even faster and I was practically screaming underneath him. His mouth, lowered to my breasts, flicking out at my nipple. The overstimulation was overwhelming. I barely got his name out as I clenched around his cock and milked it for all it was worth. He didn't stop, pounding me through my orgasm, drawing it out, chasing his own release.
The sensation was more than white static. It was a burning white fire that made my toes curl and now I saw how it had taken Emmett and Rose weeks to leave their house. I never wanted to leave this. I wanted Carlisle and I to continue going forever.
We were blessed with such short refractory periods it wasn't even funny.
This was probably going to be my favorite extra curricular activity outside everything else.
"CARLISLE!" I screamed as he twisted my nipple tightly between his smooth dexterous fingers, pulling it, sending the jolt straight to my clit at the same time I came.
My entire body was shaking and her wrapped one arm around me. My legs, wobbly, I jerked forward, the both of us landing off the bed and onto the floor. We didn't even break rhythm, barely noticing the stone floor beneath the both of us. Carlisle simply rolled over onto the carpet, pulling me on top of him, thrusting upwards into me.
We couldn't even get sore.
Carlisle moved his lips to my throat, biting, licking, sucking at my skin, purring with delight as large purple bruises popped up on my skin.
I growled, trying to mark him the same way, and failing. That caused enough confused for the both of us to slow down and observe things.
When we finally came to a complete stop, I was breathing shallowly and so was he. Carlisle ran his hand over my neck, observing the bruises.
He pulled out slowly, causing our combined juices to pool out onto his stomach and he chuckled lightly, kissing me.
"Let's take this to the bathroom, shall we?"
I wasn't as ecstatic, touching the bruises.
"Carlisle, what's wrong with me?" I asked in a whisper. "My skin marks, I don't thirst after blood, blood doesn't even taste that good to me, and I feel completely normal!"
Carlisle pulled me into his arms, carrying me to the bathroom, "There's nothing wrong with you darling. Maybe. . . maybe your gift delves farther than self control."
"So what is it?" I asked.
"Maybe it's more of a. . . normality gift. A gift that keeps you human in a vampire body. I wonder. . . " he drifted off, thinking deeply.
"What?" I questioned.
He looked at me, pulling out the handle on the bathtub- which by the way was huge- and let it fill with warm water. "I was wondering if you could eat human food was all."
I frowned slightly. "But vampires-"
"Vampires also can't bruise." Carlisle said, smiling almost sadly, running his fingers over my hickeys.
"Am I not a vampire?" I questioned. It was overwhelming and venom welled up in my eyes. "Did something go wrong during the transformation?"
"No." Carlisle said. "The only thing that could go wrong is you died. But you didn't. You are a vampire Davina. That much is obvious by the eye colour, the speed, the strength. You have all the physical attributes of a vampire. But when it comes to feeding, that's where you're different. I think it must relate to some sort of gift."
"Carlisle, if my skin can bruise, doesn't that mean I could be killed easier than a normal vampire?" I whispered quietly.
Fear flashed through his eyes for the briefest second. I knew he was thinking about the Volturi and the enemy I had made myself out of Jane.
"I. . . I don't know. There's no way to test it without hurting you either." Carlisle whispered. "I can't test it on you. I can't let anyone else test that on you."
"But evidence suggests it, right?" I questioned softly, throwing my arms around his neck, holding him to me.
"Yes." He said quietly.
I sat there for a long time before he slipped both of us into the bathtub. "It's okay." Carlisle whispered, "We'll figure it out. Everything will be okay."

SPIN OFF for COLOUR ME YOUR COLOUR and RUSH
"there'll be no spring if not for this love of mine"
summary: posts and tweets exchanged between lester and others during the baku race weekend as she babysat toto and tilly wolff's children. OR chaos ensues in the paddock and the hospitalities as the wolff kids and an asshole ex-lover (is he really?) made their presence known to almost anyone
content warning: character-centric, mentions of questionable man, appearance of characters not yet shown in the series colour me your colour, toto wolff being canonically fashionable, use of explicit language, faceclaims used for the kids, danny is full on babygirl in the instagram comment section. f1 drivers being messy.
note: sorry for the awol guys, i was walking my fish. tomorrow is the start of the canadian gp 2023 and i am sad that i am not there. maybe next year when i have the money? or maybe when i work for pr. who knows. since i'm not there, i'm just celebrating and writing this.
ALSO!! should i do a blurb or something relating to lester babysitting the paddock kids- like the wolff kids? i've started on it but...
enjoy xx

[first image dialogue: i don't normally look at the time because i dress faster than this. i even dress ren and tia for less than seven minutes and they're always dressed nicely for their music classes]
[second image: if they're dressed ten minutes after, that's not my doing; toto dresses them and he struggles a lot. he mostly gets them ready if he's taking them to work or if i'm off to a meeting in milton keynes]
[third image: we've made a lot of trips to ralph lauren and tommy hilfiger because he thinks that he can just mix and match the clothes that we got there for the bunch. said it's a "capsule wardrobe." that's what happens when you're married to a fashion expert, i suppose.]
[fourth image: you'll be able to know if he dresses them once you see the jumper/dress shorts/trousers combo or the dress/jumper combo. you'll know he did the preparing if tia's hair is put in place with a hair clip. she loves it when her papa puts in barrettes in her thin hair.]

YOOO A KANEJ FAN
I HAVE FOUND MY PEOPLE
yes soc is awesome im on like a 3rd reread rn
actually i came here because of that asks reblog thingie to ask you something like what's your fav colour or shir
BUT KANEJ!!!
okay you gotta tell me your fav scene. also did you read the books or watched the show
Heyy! First I have to apologise for being so late with this- I can be good at answering asks or just awful at answering them on time-
I have read the books and watched the show. I watched the show first then got hyperfixated on the crows and needed to consume the books so I listened to the audiobooks! I adore the audiobooks and all the voices BUT I have a complaint about the pronunciation of words being different each time I heard them- even the same voice actors would pronounce the same word differently ahsha
Show wise I have quite a few favourite scenes and one of them is the one where all the crows (minus Matthias </3) were in that cafe discussing plans. Another one is the one where Jesper says that Jes means Suli for friendship, I loved the moment where the train expolded, the irony was just funny and I loved Jesper in that scene.
The scene where we had Inej, Zoya and Nina is the same frame was perfectt. Alina telling the Darkling she can deal with it hersekf and handle the people coming after her, also her killing the Darkling was amazing because I despise that creepy man. Inej doing the cool jump and slicing the shadow demon, iconnn. Honestly I almost wrote about that whole scene, I just love it all.
Seeing Kaz, Jesper and Nikolai be in the same room (the scene where Jesper and Kaz are arrested), I also loved.
Ooo and the scene where Inej is surrounded and goes 'the question is will I waste my prayers tonight after gutting you all' that was INEJ FUCKING GHAFA, shes so powerfulll. Then her and Nina interacting (I know not for long but stilll) and Nina speaking Suli, YESS. I wish that scene was longer.
Book wise, I could go on forever and in more detail about but I don't want this to be too long, so if you want to know more about why I love these scenes, feel to send an ask and i might get to it this year hopefully ahhsdh-
Inej being injured in the ship and Nina taking care of her. Just reading Nina care for Inej and them just being best friends and just talking was so nice to read, those girls deserve the worlddd, also their friendship means so much to mee.
Jesper and Wylan when they're breaking the chain because thats when I really realised how much I loved book!wesper and them interacting was so niceee. Also we just got see more of a newer side of Wylan and Jesper, it's one of my favouritee wesper scenee.
Kaz and Inej 'I would come for you' scene, when I tell you I was shocked at this scene, two people guarded like those two. Especially admitting that he would come for her not matter what was happening to either of them, he would come for herrr.
I was going to include just one but the other scene is the scene where Kaz says is my tie straight and Inej laughs, its them being in love and just being soft for a moment AHHHH, then when she goes to her parents and when she goes 'her heart was a river and it carried her to the sea', the fact that she gets to reunte with her parents hunt slavers and work with Kaz to take them down on land sometimes as well, JUST I LOVE HER and am happy for her. Her saying she thinks he's worth saving AAAAA.
Honourary mention is when she said the 'I will have you without armour or I will not have you at all' she set boundries as she should despite the fact that she knew she had feelings for him and wasn't willing to throw her life away and basically said that he needs to be willing to work on himself, Y E S.
Matthias and Nina, the kiss scene where he spins her around, I SQUEALED when I read that. I adore them both and was so happy when they actually finally broke down all the tensity and gave innn.
Nina being on Parem, I know that its sad because of what it did to her BUT she was just so powerful and commanding in that scene I just ahhhhhh love it. Also I love how Nina just manages to flirt her way through stuff and is an incredible spy, NINAAAA, shes so impressive
Wylan, ooo this one, its when Wylan was first disguised as Kuwei and watched his dad be fine with killing him, as well as just being face to face with his abusive piece of shit father. As someone who has/had a Dad like that when I heard that I was so FREAKING PROUD of him, he was face to face and watched his father do that and managed to boast to him about knowing he'd that and fooling him, Y E S. I was so impressed and knew the strength it would take to even face him, I'm still so proud of him to this
Inej, there are so many scenes but one is the 'when the world owed you nothing, you demanded something of it anyway.' just hit the feels, she's writing her own fate after other people writing it for her and knowing that unlike Dunyasha she didn't have some special protection when she was taken, but she will hold herself up because she has survived and she is INEJ GHAFA. Another scene like this I loved was the incinerator scene because it felt so just AHHH, she finally chose that she was going to survive and finally live, it just hitss. And she released she was going to do it herself and not for work for anybody and help people like her.
There are so many more Inej scenes but this post is already too long that I don't want to make it so much longer, I wanted to include scenes for Kaz, Jesper and Matthias but I saw this post was just so long so for now I'm ending it here, if you want me to write about those scenes just send me another ask about it and I'll include them :)

Part 3 in my Choices recs ig.....
Why are the MC & LI from (choices) Crimes of Passion literally just this, respectively:
Ok but I absolutely love how Crimes of Passion is written???
There's only one LI and it's one of those books where the romance isn't optional and in choices those books usually always focus on either the romantic relationship or are just softcore porn and it gets boring
But,
The first book of crimes of passion has the least amount of romantic options I've seen from a Choices book, specially when you consider the fact that the MC & LI spend almost 100% of their time together. Instead it focuses on the actual story/murder mystery. (Though the MC & LI's dynamic is very important to the story) And all of this allows the MC & LIs relationship to develop much more naturally than in any other book.
There's no instant moment of attraction that makes the MC want to jump the LI's bones from the second they lock eyes (which is annoyingly common in choices)
What makes it funnier is the way they met compared to the way other MCs meet their LIs, because like:
Other Choices MCs meeting a LI in at least 3 layers of clothes: 😳🥵🥴❤️🍆🍑💦💦💦
Crimes of Passion MC meeting their dripping wet, only in a towel LI: 😡🤬😤🥱🤢😴🙄🙄🙄
It was also really nice getting a more serious, focused on their job, all the walls up, sarcastic but still fun MC with a cocky, flirty, puppy dog energy, comic relief but still vulnerable LI
They're also very protective of each other, which makes sense because they're both dealing with similar grief
There's also a lot of forehead touching in both books, even while they're still in a "will they won't they" stage and it's just something they do when the other is upset which is really sweet what the hell
+ actual story wise, I did not see the Book 1 killer coming at all until the reveal but I figured out who the Book 2 killer from the second they were introduced😭 but the characters in Book 2 didn't figure out who it was till the very end so I spent a lot of Book 2 screaming at the screen, and trying to push MC away from their suspects towards the real killer - so anytime the game gave us an opportunity to look a little more closely at the real killer it went like this:
MC: hmm I wonder how X is doing?
X: here's a very clear motive for why I'm the murderer
MC: huh. So B is definitely our murderer
Me: NO.
Though to be fair X only started giving a clear motive near the end and B being the killer did have a lot of evidence backing it up. But if you're used to the tropes then you can instantly tell who it is
Anyway Book 2 is also really good, MC is literally the best partner ever and deserves a sainthood for all the bullshit they put up with. And even if you know you're going to get a happy ending there's this feeling of angst that hovers over the whole thing and colours all of MC & LI's interactions which adds a lil' flavour to the story. Also Alice is the best girl! And book 3 is coming this year??

what's your headcanons/thoughts/analysis about Akane ? I really wished to see more of her
Ah Akane I wish we had gotten to see more of her too. She seemed pretty cool but we'll just have to go off of what we know. I'd say the main thing I notice about her is her kindness. She's shown inviting koko and inupi to the library, giving them both advice and complimenting Koko. There's also the bit where either Koko imagines her or her spirit appears and she's shown to be very reassuring and nice there, telling Koko to move on and live his life.
She also seems to be a typical big sister, we can see that where she seems to both try to give Inupi advice and tease him about being like Koko at the same time. She also tries to spend time with Inupi by inviting him to the library.
Now for the bit which she gets a bit of hate for, Koko's confession. I actually don't think she did a bad job with this, like getting confessed to is awkward especially when you're not expecting it, she probably didn't know how to handle the situation. We can actually kind of see that with how she pauses then attempts to lsugh it off here, this really looks like someone who doesn't know what to do but is trying not to hurt Kokos feelings.
She also seems to try and get more information about it from Koko, mentioning the age difference and then asking him if he would promise to protect her. This feels like she's trying to gage how deep Koko's crush goes, like if it's just a mild crush or if he's in deep. Probably so she can get more information on how to respond.
She then pauses again before responding to the promise like she's unsure and thinking. Saying she would wait is definitely not the best thing to say here but I'm pretty sure she didn't want to hurt Koko and didn't know what else to say here. And was probably hoping he would move on as time goes on.
And that's pretty much all we know about her canon. Hc wise though...
I think she's quite a romantic person, she seems to be with how she tells Koko to only kiss someone you like.
She's probably a good student too and likes reading.
She's a night owl, because of this she sometimes falls asleep during the day time (like the library)
She worries about inupi a lot, especially when she finds out he's been hanging around a bike shop.
She was actually the first one Koko ever saw go "bleh" she was teasing Inupi over something as she did it as a joke so it's something he picked up from her (esp after her death since we don't see him do it before).
She's the one who encourages Inupi to walk in heels and first teaches him when they're playing together.
She actually looks after Inupi a lot and frequently cooks for him since their parents are usually busy working.
She holds study sessions for Koko and Inupi
She really enjoys flowers and plants, she has an orchid in her room.
She loves the sound of rain, especially if she gets the chance to read to it.
She actually has a few admirers at school but is too oblivious to notice them, assuming they're just friendly with her.
Her character colour would've been a shade of yellow
And finally if she had known Koko had manged to save Inupi then she would've been happy that her little brother got out.

Ramuda Amemura Regressor Headcanons
Ghdhdhfjgmgmg this request made me really happy i love ramuda so so so much i had a lot of fun thinking about these and i hope @idsmiles likes these just as much!! Tho ill admit it has a lot of fling posse as a whole in it.... sorry :3 enjoy!
TW for vent regression at the end!!
- Oh man baby Ramuda would be an accidental little agent of chaos. He'd be super playful and curious, holding a lot of childlike wonder in regards to his surroundings, I feel hed be more so like a baby regression wise and would try and eat/play with a lot of things he shouldn't. He would find almost everything new and exciting, being able to learn about the world through a kids eyes would be fun to him.
- I think Dice and Gentaro would know about him being a regressor. Not straight away, but they would probably catch him regressing on accident - and they've already heard so many crazy things about Ramuda that this doesn't really phase them at all. They're kind of like his carers, as much as he'd let them be, and Ramuda would appreciate having the two of them when he feels he has nobody.
- he's such an artsy and creative person anyway, I think one of his favourite things to do when small would be colouring pages or crafts. It'd be nice to put that side of him into things that isn't just work. Along with that he loooooves playing dress up and he'd love someone to play a little game with him. I think sometimes Gentaro would, and he loves acting out whatever story Gentaro decides to think of on the spot. And yes, Gentaro would 100% do his best to drag Dice into it with the help of little Ramuda, and man he really can't say no to the little guy at all. Especially not when he's that happy about it.
- baby Ramuda would make himself be as independent as he can. Mostly because trying to open up to anyone enough to let him take care of him sounds like something he would rather die than do. He cant even really conceive it. As much as he would REALLY need one, and as obvious as it is that Dice and Gentaro are more than happy to do that for him - he just can't really fully trust anyone with it. It's a lot for him because this is something he never got, he never got to grow up properly - this is something he feels he needs for himself. Despite this, Dice and Gentaro have to constantly remind Ramuda he's a baby and handling big kid things like scissors and knives is very dangerous--
- baby Ramuda would also be really defiant and rather pouty, always trying to get his way by being cute about it at first then straight up pouting and huffing when it doesn't go the way that he wants it to. He throws a lot of hissy fits, not really actual tantrums but he does get a little fussy. Its not easy to get Ramuda to do things that he doesnt want to, even though he has to, but eventually he'll be defeated by the promise of a little treat.
- Funnily enough, he handles his anxiety and dread on his own situation better when small - compared to spiralling downwards at least. He actually lets himself feel, it's cathartic to actually be able to cry about it, as scary as it is at the time and how he really doesn't know how to handle all these big emotions he's feeling - or even fully understand what is actually going on in his head. And when he has Dice and Gentaro with him, he can't lie and say it doesn't help when they calm him down by just letting him talk and reassuring him that he'll aways have them. It's easier to believe when he's a child, too.
- Generally, baby Ramuda feels all kinds of things in extremes - more so than he normally does. This includes being more expressive when he's happy too - he can barely contain it, he laughs a lot harder, smiles a lot more, gets way more giddy and excited about things and he talks and babbles a lot too when he's happier. He loves sharing how hes feeling when he's truly happy, he doesn't get to feel it all too often, and honestly Dice and Gentaro tend to find it precious. After all, they know how hard it is - so any time Ramuda gets to be happy is cherished by all three of them.
#agere#sfw agere#fandom agere#MFMSMFMGG THIS WAS SO!! :D hes so scrunkly i love u ramuda#mod clementine🍊

alright so played about an hour, and it's. fine? the controls are a bit finicky, at least with a mouse, maybe it's better with a controller. the visuals are ok, quite colourful, i like it. lupin's dub's nice (but he has blue eyes and that's unforgivable). i like how they're adapting the story so far (i'm at the very beginning tho), but i feel like the gameplay is a bit abrupt? idk, maybe it's just me getting used to the game.
overall it's cool that lupin's getting a game like this, i really appreciate the way it draws directly from the books, and while i have reservations about how the game will fare in the long run (especially gameplay wise ; to me the appeal is obviously playing something lupin related, but the "play" part seems like it's not going to have a lot of variety), i think it could very well be worth it if you're a lupin fan.
#bibi#again i'm only at the very beginning of the game so this is all first impressions#if people are interested in more thoughts about the game later on#or even seeing the game itself let me know

spare some thoughts on hi part 2 ?
tldr; Mostly concerned! Trying to be optimistic.
I'll start off with the new UI (user interface) because it's probably the easiest to discuss. The Ui pretty much just lost a lot of personality. Sure, it fits with the game's aesthetic (in some ways), but it's lost most of its charm. While the old UI looks somewhat outdated, I think the current (to-be old) UI of hi3 feels very personal and unique. I suppose it's unfair of me to have previously wanted the UI updated and be this whiny about it actually being updated though. To be fair, many changes may take place about the new UI, especially with how the community has been critiquing it, so I'm hopeful they'll take valid critiques to heart and adjust it to not just melt into another generic rpg gacha design.
My biggest quarrel would be with the way characters are displayed, but as for the way they changed the interference for the story selection and all of that, I like it. It's not *too* different, and it looks clean (albeit dull in colour)
Now, the thing I find myself the most concerned with would be the Part 2 story. The characters, the setting, and the aesthetics. For starters, the MC... I think she's very pretty. However, I really dislike the sort of nameless "self-insert" main characters. I think it's a boring cop-out, and it takes away from a lot of the overall story immersion (ironically enough). Kiana, from the very beginning, had a very strong personality, and the way her story progressed would be near impossible to accomplish effectively with a self-insert MC (taking how they've written self-insert MCs before with Genshin, HSR, APHO into consideration) It's a lot more challenging to write a compelling storyline with consistent immersion if the main character, the core of the story, lacks some sort of "self". I'm absolutely not saying it's impossible, but I can't say I'm especially optimistic about the Part 2 MC with how it's looking right now.
The overall character designs for part 2 are a bit of a far cry from the part 1 ones, especially the ones for the most recent arcs. However, this is not an especially bad thing. While it's different, I think it's good that they're straying away from having too similar character designs like the last Herrschers of part 1 (even if it makes some sense story-wise.) I don't especially love the new character designs (except for the female MC. Again, I find her very pretty (even if she looks a lot more like a HSR design). But that's unrelated and doesn't really take away from my point lol). They feel a little too out of place with the established aesthetics of HI3, and even though it is nice to have some separation from the part 1 and part 2 designs, they should keep it similar enough to be recognized as a HI3 design.
Overall, with the designs and aesthetics, it seems that they are going for a do-over for the entire game instead of creating something new as a continuation of what's already there. There's too much left unsaid or unused from part 1 that I feel that it is justified that they move on entirely (even if there appears to be a few references to part 1 in part 2, with Einstein's adopted child, as well as speculated Elysia connections to Part 2 characters iirc)
While the majority of Part 2 is pure speculation currently, I just hope that they don't neglect Part 1's story and characters like I suspect they might. I hope they use what's already there, and refrain from making HI3's lore so much more convoluted than it has to be, merely for the sake of moving on from what nearly no one in the community wished to move on from entirely.
Continuing a little with my worries for the plot, I worry they may dilute the intensity of the plot by a lot, or neglect the writing a bit. I myself find that one of the most, if not the most important parts of HI3 for me is the story, so the thought of it turning generic concerns me. I do feel like the recent chapters have been a little lackluster in comparison to chapters like Thunders over Nagazora or Set Tomorrow Ablaze, but that may just be personal preference, and i do enjoy that they have been reincluding characters like Schrodinger!!!!!!, Shigure Kira and Niggurath. Honestly, if they do go in the direction that they neglect Part 1 for the most part, it feels like an awful choice considering the buildup they've done with all of these reintroductions, as well as the major exposition they've done for the Sea of Quanta. With one of the quotes from the Part 2 teaser, I worry they won't make the story "gritty" at all. Honestly, something I adore about the HI3 story is just how dark it can get, and if anything, I hope they don't hold back in Part 2. It feels like the story has been getting a little lighter in that sense recently, and I feel as if it takes away a bit of the intensity in the story, as well as the stakes or even consequences.
With the way hoyoverse has been updating games recently, it seems that if one thing in one of their games sticks, they feel the need to apply it to their other games, even if the change is unnecessary. While this has brought some good changes to the games, with HI3 Part 2, it feels like they're only trying to cater to individuals who don't play HI3, but play HSR or any other of the newer HYV games. Biggest worry about this point: they'll go back to pushing Hi3 to be Open World. (Although that is very unlikely with how much the Hi3 community has critiqued previous open world gameplay in Hi3)
In general, I just really hope HI3 puts effort and love into the Part 2 story, characters and world. I pray that I am to be proven wrong in most of my concerns, and that speculation will remain speculation, and that my worries will be near nullified once Part 2 is out (over-optimistic thought). Everything I write here is undoubtedly thoughts that will change drastically, or at the very least, a little when there is more information known. I'm having a lot of trouble articulating myself at all with this stuff, but that’s just how it’ll be, I’m afraid. Keep in mind that this is all very subjective, and I'm merely speaking from my own thoughts. Some of which I feel that I didn't manage to express very well.
Anywho! I really like answering, or even just pondering my orb (asks like this) cause I just love Hi3 and thinking about Hi3 and all of that teehee
so likee,,, if people want to ask me more stuff about my interestst, please do

This tray is full of dice -- colourful polyhedral dice. Hundreds of them.
The candy dispenser has been repurposed to contain thousands of dice.
🎵 Polyhedrons
NOVELTY DICEMAKER - "Hello, I'm Neha." A bird-like woman sits on a throne of tools, with emerald light shining through her hair.
"Did you try knocking on my window? I must have missed you, I've been listening to my *milieus*." She taps on her headphones.
"So, what kind of die are you looking for?"
INLAND EMPIRE [Easy: Success] - Could this be the malicious Entity? Perhaps it's wise to go along with this *masquerade* for now...
VISUAL CALCULUS [Easy: Success] - She's got a direct view to the backyard. You should interrogate her about the lynching.
"Hold on, what do you mean by *milieus*?"
"You must have me confused with someone else -- I haven't knocked on your window."
"Why are you asking me about *dice*?" (Move on.)
"Never mind, I'll be back later." [Leave.]
NOVELTY DICEMAKER - "Yes, a milieu is like a call-in station. You need a two-way radio to access one. That's why I have these." She pats the headphones on the table.
"Mostly they just teach you to swear in different languages, but some of the stations can be quite interesting. I was so absorbed, I must have missed you knocking."
2. "You must have me confused with someone else -- I haven't knocked on your window."
NOVELTY DICEMAKER - "Then how did you get inside? By the south entrance?" She blinks. "You know what, it doesn't even matter. What matters is that you're finally here. Let's talk dice -- did you have something specific in mind?"
3. "Why are you asking me about *dice*?" (Move on.)
NOVELTY DICEMAKER - "I'm a novelty dicemaker," she says. "Tell me the name of your role-playing system and I'll make the die you need. That's why you're here, yes?"
PHYSICAL INSTRUMENT [Medium: Success] - As she speaks her bone-like fingers fiddle with a ring. Her bones light, but her hands strong.
ENCYCLOPEDIA [Easy: Success] - Role-playing games? You know the one made by Fortress Accident. Does that count?
"Sure, I like role-playing games and I need some dice."
"Maybe. I'm not really sure why I'm here, honestly."
"No, I was looking for something else..." (Squint your eyes mysteriously.) "*Answers*."
"I'm not interested in buying dice right now. I'm a police officer and I need to ask some questions."
NOVELTY DICEMAKER - "How strange," she says. "Well, if you're interested, my rate is 10 reál per set, unless you want something really unusual..."
"Take a look around and see if there's any particular stone you want to use." The walls around her are covered with rows of precious stones and minerals.
CONCEPTUALIZATION [Medium: Success] - It almost looks as if the stones and dice are a natural part of the room, growing out of the shelves like stalagmites.
SUGGESTION [Easy: Success] - This person means you -- or no one else -- absolutely no harm. She will answer freely and honestly.
DRAMA [Medium: Success] - No falsehoods are present. She's a novelty dicemaker and doesn't have anything to hide. Ask what you need.
"How did you become a dicemaker?"
"Okay. I'd like to order a die from you."
"What do you know about the man who was lynched behind the Whirling-in-Rags?"
"Hey, where are we anyway? What is this place?" (Look around the room.)
[Leave.]
NOVELTY DICEMAKER - "How did I *become* one? It was a business decision. I was a regular jeweller at first, but that's an unfocused field -- with too much competition."
"Some of my friends were role-players. They asked me to make some polyhedral dice out of cobalt. That was my first order. I grew it from there."
"Do you like role-playing games yourself?"
"Understood."
NOVELTY DICEMAKER - "Not especially. I like working with rare materials and a steady pay. And role-players as customers -- they're nice people."
RHETORIC [Medium: Success] - Some of those nice people have big bucks to spend on novelty items.
EMPATHY [Easy: Success] - She's thankful for the security they provide her.
3. "What do you know about the man who was lynched behind the Whirling-in-Rags?"
NOVELTY DICEMAKER - "Nothing, really. I didn't know him."
INLAND EMPIRE [Easy: Success] - Who cares about the dead body? We might be dealing with a *malignant entity* here!
KIM KITSURAGI - The lieutenant looks at his notebook, then the woman under the large window...
"Your window looks directly onto the courtyard. You're saying you didn't see or hear *anything* unusual last Sunday evening?"
NOVELTY DICEMAKER - "I'm sorry, detective, but -- as you know -- I usually have my headphones on when I'm working. It shuts out most of the daily ruckus behind my window."
"What do you mean by the 'daily ruckus'?"
"And you never took your eyes off the work to look out of the window?"
"Do you often work Sunday nights?"
"I see. Thank you for your answers." (Conclude.)
NOVELTY DICEMAKER - "Well, there's always something going on in the Whirling's backyard..." She stops to try and come up with an example.
"During daytime there are usually those kids… And lately I've been seeing a lot of drunk workers hanging about. Must be because of the strike."
DRAMA [Medium: Success] - She's heard of the murder, but did not see it, sire.
EMPATHY [Medium: Success] - She's not sorry to disappoint you. Informing on someone in a murder investigation would intrude upon her focused existence.
NOVELTY DICEMAKER - She looks up at the window... Pale light comes in. "But I never saw anyone during that fateful Sunday night, I'm afraid."
2. "And you never took your eyes off the work to look out of the window?"
NOVELTY DICEMAKER - "I might have," she admits, "but in this case all I would have seen is my own reflection staring back from the darkness."
VISUAL CALCULUS [Challenging: Success] - It's light here -- but dark in the yard at night.
NOVELTY DICEMAKER - "It's really hard to make anything out in the yard when it's dark outside. Besides... I rarely get up to look out the window when I'm in the zone."
PERCEPTION (SIGHT) [Challenging: Success] - This person values focus above all -- she keeps her sharp sight on the instruments before her.
3. "Do you often work Sunday nights?"
NOVELTY DICEMAKER - "It's an odd profession -- making dice for people -- but I like it. And I *prefer* doing this to sitting at home."
4. "I see. Thank you for your answers." (Conclude.)
NOVELTY DICEMAKER - She nods.
"Anything else, officer?"
4. "Hey, where are we anyway? What is this place?" (Look around the room.)
NOVELTY DICEMAKER - "We're inside the chimney of an old central furnace. It's strange, I know." She looks at the ruddy bricks that make up the walls -- even though they've been repainted there are still signs of coal-black soot here and there.
"But when I arrived here, all the other rooms were taken, so I had to build myself a makeshift home. Besides, I don't really have to pay any rent here, so that's a plus."
INLAND EMPIRE [Easy: Success] - Plaisance was right... There's an entity living in the chimney! You should ask her about the curse.
AUTHORITY [Medium: Success] - Does it mean she's *unlawfully* occupying a part of the house? Shameful!
KIM KITSURAGI - "Creative." The lieutenant looks around the spacious room, its ceiling fading into shadows above.
REACTION SPEED [Medium: Success] - When she arrived here, there was no room anywhere else... She must've known the other businesses.
5. "I've heard this place is cursed. Did you know that people call it the Doomed Commercial Area?"
NOVELTY DICEMAKER - "I've heard the stories," she nods, as the wind howls in from the furnace shaft above. "But I don't think those stories are true."
"Wait… how do you explain what happened to all those companies then?"
"Plaisance is the one who sent me. She's convinced that the place is swarming with malicious energies."
NOVELTY DICEMAKER - "It's just capitalism." She shrugs. "We only hear about tales of success, so it's often surprising to realize how many ventures actually fail."
"Plaisance is the one who sent me. She's convinced that the place is swarming with malicious energies."
NOVELTY DICEMAKER - "Plaisance, the bookshop lady?" She raises her brows. "I've heard that her business is doing rather well. Have the *energies* spared her somehow?"
"Actually, the bookstore isn't doing that well. There are hardly any customers and she has to exploit her own daughter to keep the company going."
"The curse is just biding its time before it strikes again. Sooner or later everyone will fail -- even her."
"I don't know why the bookstore hasn't gone bankrupt yet -- that's what I'm here to investigate."
NOVELTY DICEMAKER - "Alright. But it's not just the bookstore that's still up and running. What about the Whirling-in-Rags? Some people say it's part of the building complex."
"Hold on, the Whirling is part of the Doomed Commercial Area?!"
"Yes, but it's still a separate building. The malicious energies can't reach there."
"No, the Whirling isn't doing well either: its waitress just took off and customers have trouble paying bills."
"You're right, the Whirling doesn't really look like it's cursed."
NOVELTY DICEMAKER - "You could say so. Both houses were built at the same time and under the East Delta Commerce Centre project."
3. "You're right, the Whirling doesn't really look like it's cursed."
NOVELTY DICEMAKER - "And then there's me..." She sighs, looking at her messy work table. All kinds of tools lie there scattered, from knives to carving files to wire cutters.
"I've been here for 14 years, selling novelty dice to role-playing enthusiasts. Not exactly a million reál business idea, yet somehow I've survived despite the talk of malicious energies. Strange, isn't it?"
HALF LIGHT [Medium: Success] - It's because she's in cahoots with the demons!
DRAMA [Medium: Success]- Maybe it's just because she's so talented that she's been able to woo the curse?
"Plaisance thinks it's because you're the *source* of it. A malignant entity."
"It's because you're competent, and dedicated to your craft. The curse doesn't affect people like you."
"The curse will get to you, have no doubt about it. It just doesn't care about earthly time frames."
"I'll be the first to admit there are many inconsistencies in this so-called 'curse'."
NOVELTY DICEMAKER - "Malignant *entity*, what does that even mean?" The dicemaker laughs. "Some kind of sorceress? What about you, officer? Do you think I'm the *malignant entity*?"
HALF LIGHT [Medium: Success] - The jig is up! The she-demon knows you've uncovered her true identity.
INLAND EMPIRE [Easy: Success] - Time has come to face the Source. Fear not, for the forces of the universe are supporting you in this psychic quest.

May i humbly request a Kougra review if it hasnt been done already?
(This is the last Neopet review request in the inbox right now! Send 'em if you got 'em.)
The Kougra is one of the those Neopets that's just a pretty straightforward interpretation of a real animal—in this case, a tiger. While the concept little by-the-numbers because of this, the design itself is able to add some unique elements. For example, the anatomy is kept fairly stocky and the stripes are kept to a minimum instead of evenly covering the entire body, which keeps it from looking overly busy. There are also some lighter markings around the muzzle, eyes, ears, and paws, and the ears in particular are huge and have a distinct notched look that gives them some much needed flavor. Overall, they're pretty visually striking.
Color-wise, the base colours use one primary color and a light cream for accents, which compliments the main color without overpowering it. The stripes are dark blue, which keeps the contrast high but adds some degree of color, and the yellow eyes match the cream accents.
Kougras remained mostly untouched through customization; the design's the same, the art quality is the same, and the pose is similar to what's used in their circle art. It is a shame to loose the old happy pose though, which wasn't anything complex but added a fun bit of movement with it being in mid-step.
Favorite Colours:
Grey: I already touched on this one in my grey review so I won't repeat myself too much, but the UC/styled grey Kougra is just adorable with its droopy ears and slouched expression. While the colors are mostly grey, the contrast is dulled slightly to emphasize the grey-ness and there's a few red accents in areas like the eyes. The converted version, while blander in terms of pose, does at least work as a good base colour; though I do wonder why the changed the color of the nose and muzzle.
Tyrannian: The Kougra, being a large cat, adapts really well to the prehistoric look. It gains sabre-tooth cat canines, of course, but it also changes its patterning to have slightly bolder and more ragged stripes, which is emphasized by things like the eye markings also being jagged. Some giant fangs and a few black markings on the ears complete the high-contrast look.
Candy: Obviously the Neopet with prominent stripes had to be a swirled lollipop, but the execution is really good. The texture on this thing is amazing and perfectly captures the look of hard candy, while the colorful stripes are super fun and work really well with the white base. Somewhat usually, it keeps the indication of the cream markings but doesn't actually change the color at any point.
BONUS: The Maraquan Kougra is one of those Maraquan pets that just adapts the pet to sea life instead of basing it off of a real-life animal. Things like giving it a tail instead of hind legs are standard, but the fins and the additional striping on them add some nice touches to the design, as does the addition of claws. Both versions are good; the UC/styled has more personality, though if I'm being honest I never quite got why it looks confused.

Friday once again, so it's time for
Mentosilk: Fruity Mixilk
This one's gonna be a lumpy one.
There's the jelly bites! They're like a soft orange colour. The drink itself smelled quite strongly of artificial fruit, which you expect, but it's the same kind of artificial fruit like those red ice poles. So, not all the way unpleasant.
The Mentosilk doesn't really seem to have any of that smell about it. Fortunately though, it does taste of it! It's a nice creamy fruity taste. The jelly lumps are a bit strange texture-wise, and catching them to bite down on them is pretty difficult. If you do manage to catch one, it intensifies the fruity taste for a second or so. Makes for an interesting drink.
Probably give it 9/10. Only a point detracted for how hard it is to bite those jelly bits. And that this can cost me a stupid amount of money.

@paz-45 asked so here are my 5 ee tattoos lmao (warning for me just rambling absolute shit under the cut)
my first ever tattoo - jon's handwriting and a wild wave because i love violent sun so much. looking back the handwriting tattoo isn't something i'd do today but it's what got me started on getting tats at all and i had a very positive experience (both w getting it and w asking jon for the writing lmao)
the teeth are not related, for the record. writing is about 6 months healed in this pic and almost 18 months healed now. also i know no one asked but since i love talking about tattoos - this is on the outside of my forearm and the pain was about a 3/10. super easy placement if you want somewhere to put a first tattoo that won't kill you off immediately.
classic lil gth hand. i always forget i have this because it's on the back of my arm (hence the bad photo too, say hello to my ear) but i do rlly love it, my artist did a very good job. it's about 5 months healed in this pic and just under 18 months healed now. this is on the back of my upper arm, the pain was probably a 4/10. a little spicy towards the inside but nowhere near the worst, certainly less painful than the inside of the bicep for instance. i also never find colour that bad (lines are worse imo) but i know some people do, so i guess if you came to this post looking for genuine tattoo advice, take that into consideration
these eyes are, technically, ee related - and please excuse this horrible photo, they're really hard to get a pic of! but me and my artist designed them together based on put me together's bridge - 'is it the darkest night/or is that dawn in your eyes?' it's a very important song to me and i love these tattoos, especially the dawn one with all the little details. it actually looks a little better now it's healed, it's settled into itself a lot more. they're super fresh in this pic (less than a month each, i got them within about a week of each other) and about a year healed now
pain wise this is a rough placement. the bottom one especially was one of my most painful tattoos - probably an 8/10. it proved i could never tattoo my actual knee because i genuinely had a terrible time of it. though weirdly the top one was really easy, probably a 6/10
i find this one incredibly hard to photograph bc of the way it wraps but my favourite line from final form (i stole the idea from someone in atb but it's one of my favourite sentiments, as in, this is my first body so i will make mistakes, and it is my last body so i will look after it). i broke one of my only tattoo rules for this too, which was No Words. i doubt i'll get any more words after this bc i don't think they'd really fit very well w the rest of mine, but i thought this was a really nice way to cuff my patchwork arm.
it's about 6 months healed in this video (from today). pain was probably another 8/10, wrist is a very spicy placement but not the worst one by any stretch. the outside (first body) was easier than the inside (last body) and it was definitely tolerable, tbh it was almost more annoying to heal than it was to get
i do have plans for more ee related tattoos (i want to get one from each album, so i have arc and rdf left to conquer) but atm i can't get anything because i have serious trust issies w new tattooists (and i love my artists who i know already) and my shop is currently 200 miles away. i'll probably get one in summertime if i have the money. i really like that for the most part they're not super obvious what they are, even the hand isn't bam in your face this is album artwork unless you're in the know. no hate to those kind of tattoos (ive seen some sick tattoos of the whole gth cover or at least the entire guy) it's just not my kind of thing, i like to be mysterious.
sorry for talking so much, but getting tattoos is my only personality trait. i could and would literally speak about it all day. consider this your formal piece of danny's tattoo advice. none of these are my most painful placements and none were my most painful tattoos, but everybody is different so if you genuinely do want this advice, take it with a grain of salt. and if anyone wants more of my advice/further tattoo tours, feel free to ask (idk why you'd want advice from me but i have probably about 40 tattoos at this point and i want to talk about it. because i'm boring and inufferable. i'm A Tattoo Person. this is my coming out </3)
cheers for looking x
#sorry this is so much talking#i love to yap#i think the tattooing process is a minor special interest for me and it makes me very happy to talk about my own stuff#so i am always happy to answer questions/give advice re placements/healing/etc if people want it#i am rather informed all things considered#that sounded pretentious im so sorry
