I finished posting the unabashedly educational Sword Fic.

It includes a detailed (but hopefully beginner-friendly) explanation of all the steps of making a Nichirin blade from a sunny mountain like Mt. Youkou, a touch of swordsmith and metalworker folk lore (including demons), meta about what must make Kimetsu no Yaiba's swordsmithing methods different from real life methods, some character exploration for Haganezuka and his polishing method, vocabulary and additional resources in the chapter notes, and hopefully, an endearing, silly POV character to learn this all through.

Hello everyone, and happy friday!! It's been a hot minute since I made an update notice post, and that's because when I got back from my trip I got the exciting news that Heart of the Storm had been accepted into the SpiderForest collective!

So these past couple weeks I've been busy setting up the new independent Heart of the Storm website (!!) and integrating everything into the collective.

From here on out the new website is going to be one page ahead of the ComicFury mirror, so you might want to subscribe to the new site instead!

Also, I'm currently catching up on commissions, but once I'm back on track with my queue I'm going to finalise the last few thumbnails for chapter 2 and start working on the final pages..!!

My Patreon at the moment is two pages ahead of the free release, but as soon as I finish the first page of chapter 2 I am going to start posting the entirety of the rest of chapter 1, and then pages from chapter 2 will go up as and when I finish them. Why are you assuming I’m just going to be apathetic? That’s not what not voting represents (not that I’m not committed to not voting entirely). I am not voting for either candidate. I may vote for a third party candidate. I may go uncommitted / choose to protest vote. You don’t know what I’m doing on a local level / where I’m volunteering / how often I’m donating. If I were to share any of that information people would say I’m doing it for clout, and tbh I don’t have to prove anything to anyone. Accusing me of not being smart or empathetic is crazy for not wanting to vote for fascist #1 or fascist #2 bc it goes against everything I stand for. I’m not sure what the point of sending this ask was but you can continue believing I don’t give a fuck if you wish. Escaping the negativity of Twitter or "X" about the new Dragon Age game to say I've been enjoying it so much. I'm so in love with the new designs and world!! There are of course bugs and issues but it came out yesterday and also its a dragon age game I was kinda expecting it lol.

I'm so happy to be back in Thedas and once I get my hands on that art book I'm gonna go nuts WOOO!!

Random fun fact about me: when I was about 10-14 years old, I had a phase where I was just OBSESSED with cooking shows like Chopped. I don’t even know how many I watched, it was kinda weird.

Anyway, episode 31—for how unhinged and wild it is—makes me feel as if I was in middle school again, watching these cooking shows with bated breath. It’s nice.

How else would you explain that the same Wednesday who “refuses to be a slave to technology” and “doesn't have a phone” also knows, within hours of meeting, about the bad punctuation and grammar of Enid’s vlog, other than having watched it herself? Also, she says that Enid’s followers are “clearly imbeciles” who respond to Enid’s stories with “insipid little pictures” — which you would only find out about by stalking the comments. 

And how else could Wednesday look at Enid and immediately have “the following emojis come to mind: rope, shovel, hole”? Wednesday has to know that these are options in the emoji-catalog, which even I wouldn't have been able to tell you off the top of my head. 

TLDR: Wednesday's got us all fooled. Prove me wrong :D

"What's with the clickbaity thumbnail?" on the yt version of ghost files, and like yeah that's just it, youtube version of ghost files which needs to adhere to the algorythm. The episode doesn't differ at all in the content besides that so I guess most people wouldn't pay attention to that but the style of the miniatures for ghost files is what made me fall in love with the show and I think they're really pretty. But video clicks so I guess art details really doesn't matter.
