*elmo fire* ok deleted basket of everything and mod fixer and installed script extender and it seems like Vanora's playthrough is working now! i had to use a couple of saves back but i was finally able to turn in Nere's head, so now i think i just need to go back to the creche/ monastery and a) figure out the blood of lathander (maybe? i know it's a powerful weapon but also it's a side quest sooo), orpheus (can't do because i failed the persuasion check earlier with the githyanki kid xD. whompwhomp i didn't realise it was considered part of the personal questline at that point because the quest hadn't actually triggered for me), and figure out what i'm doing wrong/ failing to trigger with the captain so that i can bring lae'zel to the investigator. and then i think i'll be done with act one? finally? i feel like i should be higher level for this all (i'm level 6) but idk what else to do really :/

Tybee was born on Longest Night, the Winter Solstice, with a Libra moon and Scorpio rising. His birthday is high auspicious in his birth court of Stars and Moonlight. The moon and rising signs just ... Kinda suit him *shrugs*

Gil is on the cusp between Aries and Taurus, with a Cancer moon and Leo rising. This combination is alluring but volatile, and fits Gil to a T.

I haven't thought about his son Faolan's signs, but if I had to take a stab at it, I'd say he's probably either a late Leo or early Virgo. He favors his dad a lot, but his moon sign is more enigmatic, like a shifting Gemini or an unpredictable Aquarius. His rising is dependable, a solid but driven Sagittarius.

Hi!:D Sorry to bother but a lot of things happened and I kinda need something to make me hopeful about...well anything acutally xD How would Faolon react to a MC who was chosen as a scapegoat because a group of person were pissed about a situation and they needed to take out their anger on somethin and thus mistreated the MC. Faolan’s first response would be to make sure that the MC was alright. He already has the scents of the ones who hurt his mate so he won’t worry about catching them— yet. What the MC needs comes first. Making sure that they’re comfortable and taken care of is of utmost importance to him. He would also try to get as much information out of the MC as he could about what had transpired. Wanting to make sure that he had all of his facts straight before deciding his next course of action. He understands more than most what happens when to begrudged parties scuffle— he is the leader of a rambunctious wolf pack after all.

When he is certain the MC is alright, more than likely being left with one of his siblings, he will begin to track down the people (or person) that did this to them. His heightened senses making the endeavor quite simple. Once he found them? He would of course confront them about and try to be as diplomatic about it as he could. Knowing that there were multiple sides to every story. Faolan would have to stifle his wolf from making an appearance at the insolence he was shown, but he would quickly make it clear that the MC wasn’t one that should be trifled with. Nor was he.

Trying to get pictures of the Boys (hualian bjds) outside by some pretty flowers was a fail and has cemented in my brain that I am never getting dolls taller than like 65cm ever again. IDK how people get nice pictures of their dolls outside without completely bungling things. Like...this was just in my yard and it still was a disaster lmao

WIP Wednesday progress

Whew this week somehow went fast and also took for fucking ever >< But I managed to work on everything voted on in my poll!

Here's what the results of the poll were: -write 5 sentences for Elisabeth and Jasper fluff -spend 25 minutes sketching for the recipe card(s) I am making for the next zine -spend 10 minutes working on the floriography doodle for Vanora and Faolan -write one sentence for the Moshang whump prompt

Elisabeth and Jasper floriography prompt: larkspur, first time making someone laugh

“No, no! I’m quite certain I heard you!” Elisabeth protested, vexed by how unflappable he was. “Do tell me exactly what part amused you so much. I shall endeavor to think of more stories like it to tell!”

With a hint of a smile, Jasper asked, “Might I inquire what brought on this recitation?”

Elisabeth was convinced that if he were a less dutiful sort of man, he might even have allowed himself the luxury of leaning against the writing desk. She sighed, but replied brightly “Noah was less than pleased with me for explaining to Hamin how he broke his arm when we were children, particularly since I did so during the Welcome Feast.”

“Oh?”

Moshang whump prompt "flashback"

Shang Qinghua, however, still looks terrified. “Aha, well, I couldn’t sleep and there’s all this work to be done, you know,” he says with a shaky laugh that wouldn’t convince a child.

Recipe card sketching: I actually did more than 25 minutes for this, but a lot of it wound up being measuring things, sketching in some things, erasing them, sketching something else, more erasing, and looking at fonts, so I don't have much fun to show for this :/ I need to refine the lettering I sketched more and then maybe i'll have something interesting to show ;)

Vanora and Faolan doodle: I also didn't make a ton of progress on this, partly because i started it in my sketchbook a little too small, so now it's a scan I'm working on digitally so i can't work on it at work. But I did some work on going over the lines with my tablet, so there's a slightly easier to see Faolan xD of course I wanted to do slightly more complicated poses so I'm still figuring that all out and finding references to get the angles right :/ But here's where that's at!

Well I'm a few days later than I meant to be, but i got pretty distracted this week, and admittedly ended up writing more than the set number of sentence on pretty much everything xD

From the results on my poll, here's what I worked on this week:

SVSSS Whump Prompt "Who takes care of you?" “Bro, Shen Qinqiu hissed as Yue Qingyuan’s explanation of peak activities droned on. “I thought you said Mobei Jun stopped hitting you.” Shang Qinghua did his best to concentrate on taking fast, accurate minutes for the meeting and ignore his growling stomach. He mumbled back, “He did.” Shen Qingqiu snorted, “Then who punched you this time?”

Bjd Pants! I did not manage to make a mock up since i ran into some issues (namely math, but also the new drafting ruler i ordered is misprinted, which threw me off some) but I did draft a pattern for pants for dollbei jun!

I played some Baldur's gate! Got into the underdark and beat the spectator thingy. But I only played once. I did however also play some of the current season in diablo 4 so that was fun.

Vanora's winter outfit

My fashion illustration class was a long time ago and not a great experience either, so i don't really remember how you're supposed to draw chonky knit wear, but this is working well enough for me. Also, decided to make her belt more of a woven material (tried sketching it as rope/ cord but that looked bad) instead of something like leather to have ALL the textures! and a seashell shaped buckle. because i can. Is this what someone from the tropics would think of to wear in colder weather as opposed to my native to colder weather thinking what would be good? i'm not sure xD Once i get the base of this outfit done, though, she'll have two different coat options; a ruana that she probably would've picked up at some point, possibly before acquiring said chonky sweater, and an actual wool coat the bard in our party, Peach (played by @december-snow) picked out for her a few sessions ago when we learned we'd be travelling into some mountains and it's just about winter in game :3 I'll draw those as separate things, sort of like a paper doll situation.

Play Our Life again

I finished step one with my redo of Sylvie's file, since I got a new computer and started step 2! I'm trying to remember how i did things on my old computer, but I guess we'll see how it goes xD Saving the Runaway moment for last always feels appropriate for step one though...

I didn't manage to do more for the drawing for Vanora and Faolan this week, unfortunately. I looked at some reference things on pinterest, but didn't specifically work on the drawing, and they were some i already had saved. I have a few days of working from home, and a long weekend next weekend, so I hope to make some more progress on it then!

Since i've been a little under the weather lately, I'm skipping a poll this week, but will probably be back with a new one next week, to take advantage of my longer weekend next weekend ;)

Work on planning the SVSSS prompt fic and attempt to get 4 sentences written for it (I only have the vaguest of ideas atm so i need to figure out a Plan first, but I *am* looking forward to it)

Draft some pants patterns for my bjd. Doll Moshang thank you, their 3 kind benefactors xD Since it's not sentences saying how far I can get is a little tricky, but I will aim for having the complete pattern done, including a mockup for at least one of them.
