Since Garrus took Shepard somewhere they weren't supposed to be and fucking fired snipers in said forbidden area, I thought the lock in romance scene would have been better if they got chased and thrown in jail for a bit. Lyris made her way towards the C-Sec shuttles. Her hands were in her hoodie pockets as she approached Garrus. He was leaning casually against the railing and she smirked as he pushed himself off of it. “Shepard, glad you came,” he greeted, his mandibles stretching out into the turian smile she got so used to seeing.

“Heard you wanted to hang out,” she smiled back. “What’d you have in mind?”

“Something that doesn’t involve fighting Reapers,” he said.

She snorted and rolled her eyes. “Well, I don’t think they’ve conquered the bar yet.”

“I’ve already scoped it out. But then I thought...if this was my last day alive, I’d like to remember it,” he insisted.

Lyris raised an eyebrow, taking her hands out of her pockets and crossing her arms. “So?”

“So, I had an idea...” He turned towards the console to call a car. When the car landed, she hopped in the passenger side as Garrus took the controls. If he was taking her on a joy ride, she was not about to complain. She had always wanted to take a ride around the Citadel, but it was always under attack or she was busy getting shot at or well...Reapers.

“Alright, where we going? Is there a destination, or are we just doing a joy ride?” Lyris asked, once they were in the air.

“Somewhere we’re not supposed to,” he smirked, a mandible stretching out to one side.

Lyris leaned back in the seat and chuckled. “Now you’re talking.”

“Ever have that one thing you’ve always wanted to do before you died, Shepard?” Garrus asked.

Lyris smiled slyly. “I’ve woken up with a turian next to me.” Lyris looked over at Garrus, a smirk on her face.

“Still trying to make me blush?”

“Until it works,” she teased. Garrus rolled his eyes. “So what’s your one thing?”

“The whole time I worked at C-Sec, I’d stare at the top of the Presidium and say to myself: I want to go up there. But I never did. There were one-hundred and thirty seven regulations telling me I couldn’t,” he explained.

“So what? Did you get them changed?”

“No. Now I just don’t give a damn.”

Lyris smiled, enjoying this new carefree Garrus. He had changed a lot since she first met him. From C-Sec officer to vigilante to expert advisor on Reapers. She wondered if it was because of her. If she had any influence on him and his attitude. Hopefully she wasn’t too bad of an example.

The car rose higher into the air and then Garrus parked it onto one of the beams that stretched from side to side across the Presidium. He stepped out and Lyris followed. “Figured it’s time to something stupid just for the hell of it. Might be the last chance we ever get.”

Lyris looked down at the Presidium, watching the skycars above them drive by. The view was beautiful. So much green and blue in this one spot: grass, plants, water. It was peaceful, reminded her of Earth before the Reapers. Looking out at the Presidium made her forget that Reapers were attacking the galaxy. That she wasn’t in the middle of a war, trying to complete impossible tasks. Getting species that fought for centuries to work together. “It’s incredible,” she whispered.

Garrus turned to her, seeing her eyes sparkle with life and amazement. “I’d be lying if I said I didn’t hope it would inspire a certain...mood.” Lyris’s eyes met his and she could tell there was more to this.

“Something on your mind, then?” she asked, turning towards him.

His mandibles quivered, as if he was nervous. “It seemed like you needed time to...figure us out.” He stepped closer to her. “Are you ready to be a one-turian kind of woman?”

His voice was soft, as if he was unsure of himself, unsure if she really wanted him. He’s been with her since the beginning. Since Saren, the geth, Sovereign, on to the Collectors, and now with the Reapers. He was her most reliable squadmate, always watching over her back whenever she charged into battle with her biotics. He reminded her, painfully, of Gwen. Maybe that’s why she liked him so much. It was as if Gwen was a part of him. But at the same time, he was his own person.

When she died, it was as if the chains holding her in her past life had dissolved and when she was brought back to life, she was reborn, renewed. She let go of her parents’ death, of Gwen’s death, of all the people she had lost on Torfan. When she was surrounded by Cerberus strangers and felt threatened, Garrus had managed to find his way into her life. She had a friend with her then and she couldn’t afford to seclude herself away.

The feelings that formed for Garrus just...happened. She didn’t know who fell first, her or him. All she knew is that she wanted to be with Garrus until the end. She wouldn’t lose him. She was done losing people. She would take on the Reapers, as long as he was by her side.

“The only thing that made leaving Earth bearable was knowing that you were out there somewhere.” As she said the words, Garrus’s eyes lit up.

“I felt the same way. The worst part about the galaxy going to hell would’ve been never getting to see you again.” His voice had more confidence in it, as if hearing her say those words erased any uncertainties he had.

She stepped closer to him. “Well, here I am. Exactly where I want to be.” Lyris put her hands on his chest and looked up into his eyes. The next few words she said would put to rest her old life and allow her to truly move on. She would always love Gwen Tamashi, but she also knew Gwen would want her to move on. “I love you, Garrus Vakarian.” The words rang true as she said them. Her heart swelled as she waited for his response.

He seemed surprised, bringing a hand to his head and scratching it nervously. “Oh. Wow. The vids Joker gave me never got this far,” he laughed nervously. “There was the part about sleeping together, but this...I don’t know what to do...”

Lyris smirked and pulled him down for a kiss. “Who needs a vid when you’ve got me?” she chuckled as she pulled back, a smug look on her face.

A flash of confidence soared through his eyes. She felt his arms wrap around her and next thing she knew, she was halfway off her feet, laying in his arms. His mandibles quivered before he leaned in for a kiss. Kissing a turian was a different experience as he didn’t really have lips, but Lyris appreciated it regardless as she returned it. Honestly, she could have stayed like this forever, in his arms, his face nuzzled against hers. There were no Reapers here, no death, no politics, just peace and a lovely turian.

He pulled back, much to her dismay, and put her on her feet again. They stared at each other for a few more moments before Garrus turned to a box where a couple of sniper rifles were. “Now, before we head back, there is one thing we are going to settle once and for all.” He seemed at ease now, as if a great weight was lifted off his shoulders. Maybe it was since she cleared the air. It made her happy to see how relieved he was. He picked up one of the sniper rifles and turned back to her. “Not saying you don’t know how to handle a gun. Just saying some of us know how to make it dance.” He tossed the rifle to her. “So, let’s find out who’s the best shot.”

Really. Oh he really wanted to go there. Lyris snorted as she prepped the sniper. “There are a few people in the galaxy who’ve seen me in action, Garrus. They seemed impressed.” Garrus grabbed a bottle from the boxes as she said this.

He snorted. “Maybe, but I’ve actually seen you dance, Shepard...No comment.”

Lyris clicked her tongue and readied the sniper. “All right, Vakarian. You’re going down.” She was bringing this hotshot down. Nobody insults her dancing!

“Don’t worry, I loaded it with practice slugs for when you miss,” he said cheekily. Lyris rolled her eyes and took her stance. Did she use a sniper often? No. Did she at least know how to use one? Hell yes. She preferred her biotics and close combat rather than long range. But now was the time to defend her honor and make Garrus eat dirt.

He threw the bottle and as it soared through the air, Lyris aimed, held her breath and then fired, shattering the bottle and watching as the liquid within burst free and fell down. She tilted her head towards Garrus, smirk on her face. Eat it, she thought.

“That was an easy one. Let you build up your confidence.” He turned back to grab another bottle. “Long range, I wrote the book. Nobody alive can do this, not even Commander Shepard.” Lyris crossed her arms, raising her eyebrows at the challenge. He tossed the bottle to her. “Give me a tough one,” he challenged as he grabbed his own sniper.

Lyris stretched and swung her arms about for a bit, getting ready to throw the bottle as far as she could. She backed up and aimed, then she ran forward a bit and launched the bottle. As soon as it was out of her hand, Garrus shot the bottle down. “I said a tough one!” he sneered.

“Alright, you cocky hotshot, step aside,” Lyris picked up her rifle again. As he got ready to throw the bottle, Lyris’s focus sharpened and as soon as she saw the bottle in her view...

It shattered and the sound of her rifle echoed all around. She then looked at Garrus, a smug look on her face again. “Nobody alive, maybe, but technically I died,” she shrugged.

Garrus snorted. “Yeah, well, next time we’ll throw in a herd of rampaging Kilxen. That’s how you separate the rookies from the pros.”

Lyris laughed but was cut off by the sound of sirens. She and Garrus turned to see a C-Sec car with the sirens on heading their way. “Remember how you said we’re not supposed to be up here?” Lyris quipped, throwing the rifle down and heading to the car.

“Yeah maybe shooting a gun wasn’t a good idea,” he laughed as he joined her. “Hold on.” The car lurched and they started speeding away from the C-Sec car. The sirens blared louder and sped up, beginning to chase them.

“Garrus are you running from the cops?!” Lyris exclaimed, laughter in her voice.

“Like I said, I don’t give a damn!” Garrus sped up, the car lurching above traffic towards the fake morning sky. Lyris looked behind her and saw that another C-Sec car had joined its partner.

“I hope you’re as good of a getaway driver as you are a shot,” she teased. “We got another one.”

Garrus’s mandible twitched and his voice purred. “Hold on tight then.” The car began weaving through traffic, hoping to lose the C-Sec cars on their tail. Until one came up to their side. “Crap.” Garrus forced the car downwards, speeding towards the water that traveled through the Presidium.

“A car chase as a first date? My, my, Garrus you know how to make an impression,” Lyris joked.

Garrus opened his mouth, ready to say something, but was cut off when more C-Sec cars cut them off in front. Garrus stopped the car and was about to turn around, but their chasers behind them cut them off. They were surrounded. Garrus looked over at Lyris. “Let’s just hope Bailey is here.”

Lyris was laying on Garrus’s lap and he absentmindedly ran his hand through her hair. They were in a jail cell, the door locked, but neither really seemed to care. “Garrus, stick to shooting things, not driving,” Lyris chuckled.

“I’d say I’m still a better driver than you. Should I remind you of the trips in the Mako?” Garrus challenged tilting his head to the side.

“Excuse you, I was a damn good driver when it came to the Mako.”

“Yeah sure. Say that to the concussions I would get all the time you flipped it over. I’m honestly amazed we never blew up!”

Lyris rolled her eyes.

The door to the cell open and they turned to look who it was.

Joker was standing in the doorway, his arms crossed with Bailey behind him. “Was wondering when you two would finally go out on a date,” Joker chuckled. “Just didn’t expect you guys to get arrested.”

“Yeah who knew Commander Shepard and Garrus Vakarian were such troublemakers,” Bailey snorted. “You two are free to go.”

Lyris sat up and smiled at Joker. “They didn’t make you bail us out did they? Cause I could have just used my Spectre status.”

“No I actually told Commander Bailey to keep you guys locked up for a bit,” Joker laughed. “I just found it funny Commander Shepard, hero of the Citadel, getting in trouble for being in places she’s not supposed to be.”

“Hey, it was Garrus’s idea,” Lyris countered pointing back to the turian who stood up.

Joker laughed again as he moved out of the doorway. “Breaking the law as a first date, nice you two. Glad to see you finally made a move Garrus.”

Garrus’s mandibles twitched again, as if he was embarrassed while Joker led them out of the C-Sec offices. “We should totally do that again,” Lyris said, looking up at Garrus. He relaxed and wrapped an arm around her shoulders.

“Definitely.”

ok this is the fist one (still very pleased with colouring here T_T the stage lighting was,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, well yeah as always lmao) and this is the most recent (TBH DKJSKDSDK I WISH MY MOST RECENT POST COULD BE A DIFFERENT ONE THE ONE I WANNA MAKE FOR A MONTH NOW THE ONE ID PUT A LOT MORE EFFORTS IN SO IM A LIL FRUSTRATED i literally just missed giffing but couldnt watch anything new so took an old vid i wanted to gif once I DIDNT EVEN USE MYCOLOURING PSD IT LITERALLY HAS ONLY COUPLE OF LAYERS uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh :( but whatever,,, it just kinda doesnt show the difference -_-)

well 👁👄👁 there r quite few,,, and the main reason is colouring most of these r comps and i a b s o l u t e l y sucked at comps and esp at making the colouring consistent there lol so lets begin lol 1 (u have no idea how muchi love this set) 2 (i fucking mastered it i wanted to remake it for two years and i finally did!! 60 fps smooth good moments iconic performance iconic hair colour his attitude bruh and ofc the fact that i could do sth with colouring,,,,,, and chose such an unusual colour scheme that i doubted jckdckfdk and it still worked out 🥺) 3 (lol i had this idea written down since 2018 as well and this year i could finally collect all moments i needed and oh boi yeah,,, AND COLOURING I COULD ALMOST yeah almost do sth decent with it there r still couple moments id changed but im pleased) 4 (im so happy whenevr i see this CUZ IT ALL WORKED OUT it was such an impulsive comp i literally only saw couple moments for past few years as well where i could see three of them in one frame and suddenly I WAS LIKE I FUCKING MUST POST THOSE MOMENTS SOMEHOW and im so proud of colouring it looks so well T_T) 5 (the colouring ofc im still :o that i could get rid of that shitty shit dkksjkj AND THE MOMENTS ITSELF?????? Final round-up of fan fic asks

I've gotten a few more interesting responses to the fan fic discussion so I'm going to round them all up here. This will be my final post on the topic until/unless there's a dramatic new development, or a particularly notable response I want to highlight. Thanks to everyone who brought their thoughts and experiences to the topic. I hope everyone at least feels heard.

The biggest piece of advice that I would like to offer is for everyone to focus on what they love rather than what they hate. If we all did that, the world would be a better place. Alongside that, I'd like to remind everyone to please support authors whose work you like. It's so important. Give them a kudos, give them a nice comment, recommend their work to others. You never know what kind of grief and harassment they are dealing with to bring you these great stories, and our support means a lot.

With regard to fandom and fan fic issue, my years of experience being part of very large fandoms has led me to believe that big accounts are v important in facilitating and enforcing the general consensus of the whole fandom. Unless there will be big accs who'll remind everyone of being respectful & just not being a dick over other's preferences, nothing will change.

This is also the reason why I think certain solo fandoms have adapted weird and twisted narratives as their general fandom story because no big acc has tried to police them & and say hey pls be rational. So to anyone reading this I hope we all practice more restraint and reflection before we post anything. Remember that words, no matter what medium you write it in, will always carry weight.

So true. It is easy - even for myself who spends a fair chunk of time answering people's asks - to forget that people can sometimes be impressionable and what we say can influence people whether that's our intent or not. I get used to thinking of myself as a regular guy just doing my own thing when sometimes my thoughts and words go well beyond where I initially posted them.

I think it's important for us to be careful what we say, and it's equally important to be careful what we take from what other people say. Especially when it comes to big claims. Always get a second, third, fourth opinion and don't be afraid to ask for clarification if something doesn't sit right or sounds confusing.

It's also important to reflect on how our words and actions might affect other people's experience of fandom, and err on the side of 'live and let live' wherever possible. It's great to have our own preferences and to champion them, but we should try to do so in a way that leaves space for other people and perspectives.

The more unique perspectives and the more friendly, open dialog there is, the healthier the community will be as a whole.

There's nothing wrong with encouraging and guiding growth in the particular areas we are interested in, as long as it doesn't step on, oppress or attack those who are peacefully enjoying something different.

(do note that im talking about the majority here, not every single person is like this) so bjyx fans tend to be cishet females whereas zsww/lsfy fans are more diverse in terms of age and gender, and most of them are part of the queer community too 2/?

i would like to clarify that most of these zsww/lsfy fans are not dynamic exclusive (in the sense that they are friendly and interact with all ggdd fans) they just prefer to "identify" themselves as zsww/lsfy fans (on twitter specifically) just to form a distinction from bjyx fans who mostly are dynamic exclusive (as in; they do not consume non-bjyx content, and straightup refuse to interact with non-bjyx fans, often blocking them). as a result, id say that the zsww/lsfy communiy is way more 3/?

mature and respectful (after all, they're mostly queer people talking about a queer ship) whereas many problems in this fandom, such as the homophobia, adamantly insisting on "drawing lines" between dynamics, stem from the bjyx exclusive fans, comprised of cishet females who "may not know better". so, it is of no surprise to me that they're resorting to these immature tactics of calling gg unsavory names, and organizing retaliatory events with controversial topics in an attempt to "purify". 4/4

I trust that you have arrived at that theory through your own experience and observation. I haven't personally spent much time immersed in this stuff so I can't claim to have any real insight or expertise. If you say that's your experience of it, then at the very least that's how you've seen things up to this point.

I just want to say that I think we should always be careful about making assumptions about people's age, gender/gender identity, etc.

There are plenty of good reasons to avoid doing that; because those assumptions could be very wrong, because those assumptions are often laced with ageism, sexism, etc., because those assumptions - even when correct - might not be an accurate basis for the conclusions we draw.

But the primary reason I recommend avoiding those type of assumptions is because anything that enables us to clump a group of people together in our minds like that will tend to make them easier to demonize and dehumanize. They are no longer individuals who are each responsible for their own unique perspectives, they are now 'the X group' who is known for 'A B C series of easily attackable ideas or behaviors'.

If we attribute undesirable traits and behaviors to a group of people we feel opposed to in some way, that makes us feel more righteous and justified in behaving unfairly toward them, dismissing their humanity and warring with them. It's just risky behavior to engage in, even when it's well-intentioned.

There might actually be some truth to what you're saying. It could very well be that most of these people are young, inexperienced, heteronormative, etc. but if that's the case then we should try to use those traits to better understand and empathize rather than to better dismiss and discredit.

Just my two cents on that.

It can be really frustrating dealing with what feels like other people attacking us, trying to oppress us, etc. - especially when there are more of them than there are of us. In my experience the best solutions to that sort of problem are generally the ones that focus on what we are doing and want to do rather than what they are doing that we don't want them to do.

As I am always preaching, we can't control what other people say, do or think. The only thing we have any control over is what we say, do and think (and how we respond to what they say, do and think).

I have found in my experience that the moment I step out of a conflict mindset and instead step into a problem-solving mindset, everything starts to come together. I feel better, my outlook is more positive, I can begin to see solutions and allies rather than problems and enemies, and most of all, I become more focused on what I am doing than what others are doing.

So I would recommend everyone who is invested in resolving these conflicts focus on that. "How can we best showcase and encourage the types of stories we enjoy?" instead of "How can we stop these other people from doing things we dislike?"

As for supporting without going to war, the simplest way has always been to just show appreciation for the creators, hype them up. Kudos are the easiest way on ao3 but comments in addition are great. This goes for all content—art, fics, vids..etc. Creators love to see and read how people react to their content. Sharing is also great, fic recs are very helpful, just be cautious with art and reposting though. Hope this helps a bit!

Recommending stories, pointing people to the pages/websites of artists we like (as opposed to reposting), sharing our own ideas and approaches, encouraging people to try new things... all of this helps build healthier communities.

I urge anyone with creative interests or talents to bring their voices to the community because we all can benefit from hearing from you.

Haunted House

(I just watched a Netflix Docu Series about the McKamey Manour, and I had to write this. This is a Yandere Bakugou x Female Reader Monster Au, and this will probably be the most messed up thing I write, lmao. Warning!! This has dark, dark themes, so please don’t read if any of the following is triggering: violence, abuse, blood, noncon elements, and just overall disturbing themes. I hope you enjoy, and sorry if this isn’t up to your expectations :))

“Mina, I refuse to go in. You know I don’t fuck with this-”

The pinkette just laughed at you, “(Y/n), come on, this’ll be so much fun! There’s a safe word if it gets too much. I even convinced Momo to come!” You stared at her from the backseat, not convinced.

Jiro rolled her eyes, “Mina, she doesn’t want to-”

“No! Guys, it’ll be so much fun! I’ll even pay for it, okay? I’ll buy you whatever you want after this too, I promise.”

You and Jiro looked at each other, and finally yielded.

“Fine, fine. I’ll go in, but I swear to God if anything happens-”

“You’ll be fine! The only extreme thing I read that they’d do is throw you around and stuff.”

Sighing through your nose, you nodded, opening the car door of Mina’s 2013 Honda Civic. From what you know, this would be a girl’s trip. Mina invited all of the girls in your college class, but only seven of you agreed to go (the seven of you being: Mina (of course), Toru, Tsuyu, Jiro, Momo, Ochaco, and lastly, you). At first, you were planning on staying outside and taking pictures of them running out of the haunt, but of course, things change.

So here you were, going into All Might’s Fright Fest; the scariest haunted house in Japan.

“If I pass out, one of you bitches better catch me.” You all looked over at Toru, who was laughing at your annoyed expression. “Lighten up, (Y/n)! This’ll be so much fun!”

You pouted at all of your laughing friends, “You’re all so mean to me!”

At that point, your group had gotten to the ticket area, where a certain Pikachu look alike was waiting inside a sales booth.

“Hey guys! I’m so glad you decided to come, you’ll have a lot of fun!”

Jiro scowled at him, “Damnitt, what’re you doing here?”

“I work here, sweet-cheeks! So do some of our other classmates, but don’t worry, we won’t laugh at you if your get scared.” He grinned at all of you, before smacking seven thick booklets onto the table top. “All you ladies need to do is sign these forms, and you’re all good to go!”

Momo passed the packets out to all of you, and you flipped yours open. These were consent forms. You looked at Mina, and were about to speak, but she beat you to it.

“You can’t back out now! Just sign the damn forms, you’re over eighteen!”

You glared at her, but read through the forms. The biggest thing that stuck out at you were the words: “...Actors may rip off clothing…” Your eyes widened, and your hope went out the window. Sighing in defeat, you finished reading, and signed the forms.

“Here you go, Denki. I’m just gonna apologise in advance, because I’ll probably come out looking a mess.” At your words, a sinister look seemed to come over his face.

“Oh, you will, if you come out at all.”

“Haha, okay…” You all gave him a weirded out look, before handing him your paperwork.

He clapped his hands happily, “Alright! Let’s get to business; first things first, there’s a safe word. The safeword is ‘spookie,’ and you can only use it if it’s absolutely necessary. The actors will be able to touch you, and they may hurt you. You can fight back, but no weapons. Your belongings will be up here with me, and that also includes phones. We can’t have you ruining the experience for others by posting vids on YouTube, ya’know?” He chuckled at your lack of response. “Anyways, y’all read the rules and regulations, so just pay and hand over your shit, and your experience will be great!” Mina begrudgingly took out her wallet and paid for everyone. The rest of you gave Denki your belongings, and put on a wristband.

“Okie dokie, let’s get you pretty ladies inside,” he winked at Jiro, causing her to scoff. “Follow me.”

He led the seven of you down a dark hallway, up to a giant set of doors. There were multiple signs telling people to turn back, but like idiotic movie protagonists, you continue forward.

“Here’s where I branch off from y’all. Have fun and be-” Denki was cut off by eight large men in masks, they barged in and grabbed each one of you. Your guide’s eyes widened in fear, causing the rest of you to panic.

“W-what-” Momo was silenced by a large hand, as her captor spoke.

“Welcome to Hell, bitches. You’re all going to have a fun stay here, I promise. As long as you listen to what I say, no one gets hurt.” The voice sounded familiar, but you couldn’t quite place who it was.

The man restraining you was letting out gruff chuckles, “Look at Pikachu, he thought he was getting out of this, how fucking stupid. He should’ve known not to come over here, because now he’s going to be assraped by spiky hair.” The man holding you sounded like one of your classmates, Bakugou. You froze up even more than before, glaring towards Mina.

“Goddamnitt, Mina! We go to school with these kids-” Bakugou’s right hand gripped your throat harshly.

“Shut the fuck up, bitch! Who the fuck said you could talk?” Gulping in fear, you stopped speaking.

Everyone was silent, except for the sound of breathing. That is, until another person spoke.

“Let’s get them inside, then the fun can begin.” All of the masked men nodded, dragging the eight of you inside the large doorway.

“Move it, losers. If you don’t move fast enough there’ll be punishment!” Bakugou’s hand was still wrapped around your throat, and he shoved you forward.

Once you all were through the doors, they slammed shut behind you. The room was enormous, and it looked like a torture chamber. There were two autopsy tables in the middle of the room, along with numerous bdsm set ups. There were whips, chains, collars, and so much more, which caused tears to jump to your eyes. Sure, the papers said that there would be sexual elements, but they didn’t say that sexual assault would be allowed. As a law student, you couldn’t just let this slide.

“The papers didn’t say anything about sexual exploitation-”

“Shut the fuck up, law nerd! Don’t make me waterboard you.” That was one of the tortures listed in the papers, so you went silent. “Ha, that’s all it takes to make you shut up? What an obedient little bitch. How could you make it in the courtroom, huh?” Your classmate was always a cruel person, but it seemed like he was letting loose.

“What’re you going to do to us?” Ochaco looked very close to pissing herself, which made you feel awful. She always scared easily, so this must’ve been the worst thing to ever happen to her.

“We’re going to do whatever the fuck we want.” That sounded like Fumikage, which weirded you out. Were all the haunted house staff students at your school?

With that, the group separated. Bakugou yanked you towards a dark corner, and forced you to the floor. He stood over your slumped form, and glared down at you through his ski mask.

“Strip.”

“W-what?” Your eyes widened, and you wrapped your arms around yourself.

“I said strip! Are you fucking deaf or something?” Bakugou’s voice seemed to change, instead of his normally raspy voice, it sounded like he was growling.

“No, I’m not going to-” Before you could finish, your muscular peer started to rip at your clothes.

“You think you can tell me no? Well you’re fucking wrong, bitch!”

Panicking, you yelled out the safe word, “Holy shit- spookie!” Everything stopped, and everyone turned towards the two of you. You almost let out a sigh of relief, before Bakugou started to laugh.

“You really thought that there was a safeword? Fuck no! You can’t pussy out, I won’t let you.” With that, the chaos continued. His large hand grabbed your sweater, and ripped it off of your terrified form.

“What the hell! Fuck off, asshole!” You tried to thrash around, but he trapped you to the floor with his body. Bakugou slapped you across the face harshly, and pushed your head to the ground.

“You better watch your fucking tone, whore. A bitch doesn’t tell her master what to do, do they?” His mouth was next to your ear, and when he received no answer, he bit down on it. “Answer me, (Y/n)!”

You cried out in pain, tears trailing down your face. “Yes, yes I understand!” Katsuki seemed pleased with your answer, and let go. He licked at the blood falling from your ear, and shuddered in pleasure.

“You’re going to be a good girl for me, right?”

“Yes.” He laughed at your pitiful response.

“You know my name; say it.”

“Yes, Bakugou.” He clicked his tongue at that, and he looked down at your half dressed body.

“(Y/n), you know better than to call me that. Call me by my first name, or I’ll punish you further.”

A lump formed in your throat, but you nodded regardless.

“Yes, Katsuki.” He smirked at you, and gripped your left arm, hoisting you to your feet. Your arms crossed over your chest, trying to hide your undergarments from the man in front of you.

“Let me look at you,” Katsuki forced your arms to your sides. The cold air made goose bumps appear on your chest, and your breath hitched. He always made you nervous, but now, he was just making you scared. His violent nature makes him a threat, in or out of the haunted house.

His eyes trailed over your torso, drinking in your visage. He licked his lips hungrily, making him look animalistic. You fiddled with your fingers, trying to block him out.

“Katsuki, please stop looking at me. You’re making me uncomfortable.” A growl resonated throughout the room, forcing you to look up. Bakugou looked like a totally different person. His features seemed… dog like. Flinching in shock, you took a couple shaky steps back. That triggered more vicious growls and snarls from the blond man. The other masked men looked up at the both of you, seemingly just as surprised as you are.

“Bakugou, what’re you doing?” His red eyes locked with another man’s, and he glared savagely.

“Shut the fuck up, I’m doing some important shit.”

“Bro, you need to calm the fuck down. We’re just supposed to mess with them, maybe even hurt them a little. Don’t expose us to some random chick.”

“You’re one to talk, spiky hair. You dragged bolts-for-brains,” he nodded towards Denki, “Into this for some fucking reason, so shut your fucking mouth.” His gaze then went back to you. “And you,” He was now right in front of you, blocking you from everyone else in the room. Your friends were looking at you with apologetic and sad eyes, making you ten times as afraid. One of his hands came up and gripped your jaw, “You’re going to let me do what I want.”

“What do you want from me?” Tears started to fall down your face, which he licked off.

“To put it simply, you fucking idiot, I want you.” You just stared at him blankly, which caused him to let out an annoyed grunt. “I see you in class all the time, pretending that you don’t fucking notice me. You refuse to even fucking look at me, do you know how much that fucking hurts? We’re supposed to be fated, yet you’re treating me like shit!” Katsuki was gripping your shoulders harshly, his face close to yours.

“I-I don’t understand, what-”

“Let me fucking talk!” His grip became even tighter, causing you to let out a pathetic whimper. “You always talk to guys, hell, you go on so many dates! Are you trying to make me jealous? Because if you are, it’s fucking working. I’ve had to get rid of so many assholes over the years, so many people have tried taking you away from me, and I won’t allow it.”

Your blood ran cold. Was he responsible for most of your guy friends going missing? “Katsuki, what did you do?”

He backed you into the wall, blocking everyone else from your gaze, “I did what I had to do. You understand, right? We’re meant to be together, I couldn’t have any obstacles. Hell, that’s the reason why I got this job. Until I become a cop, I need as much money as I can get to support us.”

“You’re mad! What the fuck are you talking about?” Katsuki just laughed at you.

“Of course you humans wouldn’t understand. Let me put it into a way you’d understand; we’re mates. We can only love each other, you pillock. Because of that, you denying me will only hurt you in the end. I can only be so patient, so you better shape up.”

You blinked at him in disbelief, “That still doesn’t explain why you got this shoddy job, or why you seemingly killed my male friends-”

“I got this shitty job because it fucking pays well, and I can let out my frustration. I can’t just go up to you and say, ‘Hey, let’s fuck at my place.’ Although, after this, that’s an easy feat.”

You scoffed at his seemingly content looking face, “Oh piss off, I still wouldn’t want to fuck you! For the love of God, you literally bit my ear like a fucking vampire-”

“Don’t you dare compare me to icy-hot! I’m not some fucking weirdo!”

“Whatever you say, asshole! That doesn’t change the fact that I don’t like you. Even if you were a vampire, that wouldn’t make me any less disgusted with you.” You both just stared at each other, while the torture of your friends continued in the background.

“Take that back,” Katsuki looked calm, too calm. Glaring up at him, you shook your head.

“No.”

Your supposed ‘mate’ raised an eyebrow, “No?”

“No, I won’t take it back. You disgust me, Katsuki Bakugou.”

His gaze turned steely, his jaw now set.

“Fine, if that’s how you feel, I might as well give you a reason to be disgusted.”

A gasp left your lips as he ripped your (bottoms) off of you, desperately trying to cover up your bare legs.

“Stop it! Katsuki, what’re you doing?!” He was huffing and puffing over your curled up form, snarling at you.

“You say such fucked up shit, yet you still look and sound so damn cute.” He then grabbed your legs, and dragged you towards him. You were thrashing and kicking, trying to get away.

“Get off of me! Please stop!” Once you were close, he hauled you up into his arms. His right arm forced yours to your side, and squeezed your left one to his chest. Katsuki’s left arm pushed your legs together, making you unable to kick him. He then walked out with you in his arms, and into a nearly empty room. There was only a mattress on the floor, and you were then tossed onto it. Scrambling backwards, your upper half fell off the bed. Your mate let out a sickening laugh at your pitiful state.

“Look at you! All teary eyed and pretty,” he quickly joined you on the mattress. “Come over here, (Y/n).”

You shake your head rapidly, dragging the rest of your barely clothed body onto the floor, “No, I don’t want to.”

“I didn’t ask what you wanted; come over here, now.” You shake your head again, tears falling down your face while your bottom lip trembles. You weren’t able to say anything else, because Bakugou grabbed you by your upper arms, and forced you into the mattress with him. Your cold skin pressed against his warm extremities, causing him to let out a pleasured moan. You pressed a hand against his chest, trying to get out of his embrace.

“Please let me go, I don’t like you touching me-”

“Quiet, let me hold you. I’ve wanted this for years, and you’re not going to fucking stop me from at least doing this.” Katsuki then pushed his head to your bra clad chest, arms wrapped around your waist. His warm breath caused goosebumps to paint across your skin, making you shift uncomfortably. You both sat there in silence for an unknown amount of time, before he started to move.

Katsuki started to kiss up and down The Valley between your breasts, causing you to speak out once more.

“Katsuki, please stop, this is getting weird-“

“I’m trying to be romantic, shut the fuck up!” You flinched at the volume of his voice.

“What’re you trying to do?” Your voice came out trembly, showing how spooked you truly were.

“I’m making sure no one can take you from me again, that’s what.”

“What the fuck-“

“I’m marking you, dumbass! Now hold still-“ he started to harshly leave love bites. Large hickeys started to form on your neck and chest, causing you to push at him.

“Stop it! What the hell-“

Katsuki started to lick the spot connecting your neck and shoulders, all the while growling and hissing. Before you could push him away from you, he bit down, hard.

A scream left your lips as flailed about.

“Stop it, Please! It hurts!”

Tears filled his eyes as he sucked on the skin around his teeth. Was he drinking your blood?!? He couldn’t be, he said he wasn’t a vampire!

After a few more agonising moments, Katsuki let go of your now bleeding neck. He licked away the blood running from your wound, and kissed around it.

His tears continued to fall freely, “all I wanted was for you to love me, yet you refuse to. Now look what you made me do, I had to claim you forcefully.” Your droopy eyes let a few more tears slip, before you spoke to your assaulter.

“What do you want from me?”

He grabbed your right hand, and gave it an almost tender kiss.

“Everything.”

My Lazy, Poor, Stupid Person’s Attempt to Paint Tabletop Miniatures

This has nothing to do with covid-19 really, it’s just something I reckoned I’d share. For several years I’ve played Dungeons & Dragons, and occasionally others like Call of Cthulhu and Delta Green, or Shadowrun. Though, I say ‘play’, when I mostly run games as a Dungeon Master. It’s one of those “hobbies” that is a lot of fun for someone like me, but requires a ton of dedication, so it isn’t always easy to get a dedicated group together.

Anyhow, I generally homebrew settings and adventures, never really been too big on running pre-written games, even if some of them are fantastically written. And one of the most frustrating things is I some times want to have a miniature on the battle grid that looks a certain way. This is hardly a big deal, since miniatures are just markers meant for reference in combat encounters, the real image of the characters is in all of our heads.

Still, I sometimes want to have something especially specific, a lot of the players in my current group appreciate cool looking miniatures, and seeing as I’m usually hard-up for cash, I can’t always buy pre-painted mini-figures, unless I get a good bulk deal on ebay or something.

One of my recent attempts to acquire bulk miniatures came a few years back when I realized during the 4E days, Wizards of the Coast had released boxed board games themed with the D&D style, which all came with a great deal of unpainted miniatures; these came in sets like Wrath of Ashardalon, or The Legend of Drizzt, with lots of themed minis for the board game’s scenario.

Anyhow, I’ve had a ton of these unpainted miniatures forever and use them often for nobody-NPCs and other characters the players run across. Lately, however, the group I’ve been running in a campaign for about eleven months (usually weekly), ran across a problem where their dragonborn ranger Grixxis was captured by and then negotiated his away out of the clutches of this ancient entity who calls herself Gorgoth (who appears to be a pale, beautiful young woman, but probably isn’t; even the not so arcane-y Grixxis intuited that much). She was actually impressed that he resisted her Sleep spell, and offered him a deal, she’d let him go but he needs to complete a task for her in the next seven days, and if it isn’t completed in that time frame his soul will be bound to her forever.

The task was to go to a mountaintop and retrieve something that resides there, though Gorgoth did not explain what the object was, so the party set off to find this mysterious mountain. The journey led them to an area of bad wilderness where no one lives, and where roving bands of orcs constantly hunt and war with one another, so only a few people know anything about that region. The party ended up hiring a guide, who was a wood elf exile named Skaya. They seemed to be intrigued by her because she’s living in a city which is currently at war with wood elves, so there’s a lot of prejudice and racism against her kind. Skaya does have facial tattoos that indicate she’s been exiled from her tribe and therefore no longer truly considered by her people to be a wood elf (their worst form of punishment in this universe), but still, the party seemed immediately fascinated by this single NPC among the potential seven or so they might’ve hired for this expedition.

Anyhow, my players have only gotten truly invested in one other NPC they’ve met before this; a small little orc toddler named Gruuba who they saved from a bunch of slave trading bandits early on in the campaign. I’ve had difficulty finding a good miniature for Gruuba too (because she’s really small and scrawny), but since she’s at the same developmental level as a human six year-old they try to keep her out of combat scenarios (despite Gruuba’s excited insistence that she enjoys using clubs “for smashings”). Since the party have begun to really enjoy Skaya as character, the longer they’ve slowly, slowly gotten to know more about her stand-offish personal history, I really wanted to get a miniature for her that reflected my image of her better than the one I’d been using.

So, even though I got basically no experience doing so, I bought a miniature from Reaper Miniatures, and after looking up a few tutorial vids for beginners like me, I set about trying to paint my first mini-figs.

Two things, if you’re looking into this yourself; First, I’m not totally unartistic, I write creatively and I sketch with pencils and ink. Painting’s fairly new to me, but it’s not like I have absolutely no artistic talent. I also solder a lot of really small wires and components in my normal daily job, so I may have better muscle control for this sort of thing than some people. I only mention this because I may have had a few advantages in this undertaking. I just don’t want to make people overly confident, keep things in perspective. So whatever your level of expertise at this, if you want to start just try to patiently measure your expectations, and don’t get discouraged if your first results aren’t so great. All things improve with time.

And B. if you’re poor, lazy, and stupid like me, there’re ways to get around that. This video I watched gave me a good rundown of the basic steps which are; - scrub the plastic down with some dish soap, luke-warm water, and a toothbrush; allow at least 1 hour to dry (I let them sit for a day because I’m paranoid), and be sure there’s no lingering moisture before you start painting - get a good primer or base coat on the model before you start adding other colors; lighter base coats allow more colors to show up easier, while darker base coats tend to make the colors you paint over them darker - stay calm and take your time - try to paint the colors that’ll go under other colors first, like, if a barbarian dude is shirtless but’s wearing a few pieces of armor, paint his shirtless skin first, then paint the armor he’s wearing second because it layers over better that way - use thinner paints and multiple coats of a color to get an even final color instead of one thick coat - allow each coat of paint to dry for 10 - 20 minutes before applying the next coat - learn about washes, pigments, and inks, because they’re awesome - get a decent varnish for a final protective coat, matte varnishes make the model look dryer and flat, gloss varnishes make the model look shiny and wet, if you do a coat of gloss and a coat of matte varnish it equalizes it pretty good

And this video here sort of laid to rest my fears that I’ll need to spend $600 on paints and washes and stuff. The very helpful lady in that video explains how she uses generic acrylic paints from the craft store (I got mine at Wal-Mart) to paint her Warhammer miniatures, and she even offers a method of making your own washes from a combination of paint and flavorless mouth wash. It’s genius. So try not to stress too much about buying the really nice brand name paints, because it’s not necessary, those paints just have an optimal mix I think, otherwise they’re the same damn thing as generic acrylic paints. Also, you’re just trying to learn, so unless you really, really feel like emptying your bank account, just use the generic stuff.

I started out painting something I didn’t care about. I wanted my miniature for Skaya to look badass and awesome, so I wanted to start with some practice miniatures. Grabbed a few from those 4E board game sets and gave it a shot. But I had also recently gotten hold of a Goliath Barbarian miniature from the Player’s Handbook Heroes sets (also from the 4E days) a rare find, since it usually goes for like $60.00 by itself. Randomly found some dude on ebay selling an unopened box set for $20.00, so I got a wild elf druid and a human berserker along with it. So I started out touching up the goliath’s armor to make it look more like armor and less like weird blue stuff.

Here’s a before-and-after for him (I didn’t take photos of them before because I wasn’t anticipating this, so I just found examples from around the web):

Next I tried a re-paint. A friend of mine had recently guest-played in my campaign and created a half-drow monk (his backstory was fantastic), so since nothing like that exists, I took a Soulknife Infiltrator miniature seen here:

And repainted it to sort of look like his half-drow Monk of the Open Palm:

I finally had the courage to do a full paint, so I grabbed the Dragonborn Elementalist from the Wrath of Ashardalon box, and painted her up with reddish scales (I’m one of those who thinks dragonborn should have physical attributes of their heritage).

In the box her name’s Heskan. I definitely used way too much wash on this one so she looks super shiny.

I then took the orc archers in that same box, and not really paying too much attention this time, quickly painted them, because I lack many orc archers:

At this point, I felt it was time to finally paint Skaya, the wood elf exile. I used the Reaper Bones model Deladrin, Female Assassin ($1.99) for Skaya’s mini.

And taking way more hours than I did on the others, which were only about 1-3 hours each, when you count waiting for the coats to dry, I managed to sort of make her look like Skaya, I guess:

After this, the fact that it wasn’t complete and utter shit, which is what I expected, I was encouraged. So I tried to do out party’s tortle cleric, named Daruuk of Chult (who oddly speaks with a Slavic accent, so that’s how people from Chult sound in our campaign), for whom we’ve lacked an accurate mini-figure for some time. I bought a pack of Spikeshell Warriors ($2.99) from the Reaper Bones line.

But Daruuk characteristically wields a large shield and a warhammer, so for some reason I got super detailed and bought a pack of loose shields from the Reaper Bones line ($0.99), then bought Halbarad ($1.49) a human cleric.

I clipped off Halbarad’s hammer at the hilt, then I trimmed the spikes off of the spikeshell warrior’s club, and used a dremel to carfully mill a hole inside the shaft of the spikeshell’s club, then pinned the hammer inside and secured it with gorilla gel. I used an actual cork board pin to push the shield onto the spikshell’s offhand after cutting off his turtle shell shield in order to pin it before gluing, then clipped off the rest of the cork board pin. Somehow, this ended up making the shield look meaner because it now has a like pyramidal spike sticking out the center. After allowing the glue to dry I painted him up, and my attempt at Daruuk the Death Cleric turned out thus:

I guess his hammer looks sort of Acme-level cartoony, but he’s a giant 350 lb. turtle-man who talks like Omega Red from X-Men The Animated Series, so I’m okay with that. The spikeshell also fits well with the razorback sub-race feature I allowed Daruuk’s player to homebrew for himself. I was really proud of this one.

Finally, because I’m an insane asshole who is getting obsessed with my new hobby, I decided it was dragons or bust. So I bought a pre-primed unpainted Young Blue Dragon from WizKids ($13.99).

And spent, like, three days meticulously testing different paint layers to see how they come out. I tried to paint her in the tradition of blue dragons as they appear in the art of Forgotten Realms material, but gave her a somewhat darker cast, and added metallic blue layers to her claws and spinal ridges. I still need to paint her base, put some highlights on her eyes to accentuate the glowing effect and add my washes to give her a final layer of dimension, but here’s how she came out so far:

Anyhow.

This is super long and I wonder if anyone will bother to read any of it. But just wanted to put this out there. From a dude who, if you asked me a year ago if I thought I could do this, I’d have said I’m too stupid, poor, and lazy. I still think of myself as all of those things. The real pros use crazy detailed techniques with like seven layered highlights on their models, and airbrushes and all kinds of other madness. I use maybe three coats total and I don’t get too worked up if I make a mistake here and there, and I haven’t spent more than maybe fifty bucks total across six weeks, and most of that was wasting paints because I was still learning how to mix different shades.

So if you got something you feel like you’ve always wanted to do but are too stupid, poor, and lazy to figure out, just go for it yo. I managed to crack out these bastards and I still think I suck, but it’s way better looking than I expected. For real though, you should see some of those Warhammer players, they got mad crazy god skills at this stuff compared to me. But your level of skill isn’t the point. The point is to have that moment with that thing you did, and look at it, and just go “Yeh, I did that” when at one time you never believed you ever could.

There’s always going to be somebody better than you, but even they, like all of us, are still learning.

3. What is the best fandom you’ve ever been involved in?

Oh, NBC Hannibal, hands down. I’m sorry, not trying to be mean to other fandoms, but the Hannibal fandom has legit spoiled me For Life. Not only are all the people you meet nice (and that’s true for every fandom I’ve ever been in for the most part), but the content is NOBEL PRIZE worthy, the meta is ASTRONOMICAL, the fan vids and gifs are gorgeous, the content creators are generous, gracious, and actively involved with the fandom. Just... I hate to use the word, but the level of discourse in the Hannibal fandom is truly a cut above. I’ve never seen meta like I’ve seen Hannibal meta, not even in the LOTR or Untamed fandoms, it sates a deep and precious desire in my soul. I fucking love the show and I fucking love the fandom, bless every last little cannibal heart <3

8. How did you get involved in your latest fandom?

My wife had mentioned that her brother was starting to play this game, Yakuza 0. I had heard of it before but knew nothing about it. Her brother is a game designer though and has very good taste so if he was enjoying it, it was probably good. Still, I wasn’t particularly interested until my wife started telling me about it. How there were these two protags, a young man trying to clear his name and beat the odds and another young man with an impossible responsibility. And no matter how bad things were for the first young man, and they were Bad, things were somehow, always, 10 times worse for the second young man. Sounded like a pretty good story to me.

But I still didn’t get into it until I cam home from work one night and my wife was watching probably the fifth fight with Kuze. She wanted to stop since I had come home and she knew I wasn’t into it. But I didn’t want to make her stop so I sat and watched for awhile, because it was very pretty and the graphics were very smooth. And since we were neck deep in plot, she backtracked for me to Kiryu meeting Tachibana and then... him. The manager of the Grand. Oh brother, sister, I ain’t got words for my reaction to that.

So yeah, that’s approximately how it happened and then I just slammed through the rest of the games with her and here we are : |

11. Who is your current OTP?

Oh man, Yakuza’s got a lot of good ships. But mmmmmmm. There is but one king.

19. Is there a ship which you wished you could get behind, but you just don’t feel them?

Always! There’s always a couple ships in every fandom I’m in that are popular and I can see why, but I’m just not feeling them.

Daigo/Ryuji is the big one. I know it’s very popular, but I’m just not feeling it. I’m not quite sold on the whole rival thing, but then I don’t like how “rivals” are written 99% of the time. There’s a lot of cute Majima/Nishitani content on my dash right now, very sweet, and I get ti, but definitely not my ship. Hmmm, there are probably others, but those are probably the big ones for this fandom.

I go back and forth on Kiryu/Nishikiyama. I like it a lot as a past history thing, an aborted relationship, something they tried that didn’t quite pan out, or maybe something they wanted to try and never did. Especially because I think Nishiki definitely did have confused feelings on his side, or at least was willing to entertain romantic notions. His attachment and hero worship of Kiryu often skews that way. Not sure about Kiryu’s side. I mostly think he thinks of himself too much as a big brother to Nishiki, too responsible for him, to view him as a possible partner. But I think that background history would be a really cool thing to influence Kiryu’s take on later possible relationships. So I dunno, I go real back and forth.

22. Is there anything you regret writing?

Oh, woof, probably. If you look deep on my AO3 account, there’s some Sherlock shit. So, there’s a scarlet letter for that. I’ve written some trash for Doctor Who, I’ve written some good stuff too, but I’ve written some trash.

You have to understand, I’ve been writing fanfic since I was 12. That’s 15 years I’ve been writing, more than half my life. So sure, I’m embarrassed of the shit I started out with and that’s why I don’t have links back to my FF.net account. That was a different me from a very different time and not at all a reflection of who I am or my capabilities now. However. Those gave me a great deal of joy to write while I was writing them and I was quite proud of them at the time. I do not wish to do them a disservice or my past self a disservice by calling them bad. They’re not bad, they were the best I could do at the time and I was right for posting them. I try not to look back and cringe because that’s not fair to past me. I was doing my best and they made me happy. I’m still doing my best and it makes me happy. So really, how can I scoff or judge?

I do sometimes worry about all my unfinished works. If you’ve been following me for awhile, you’re probably well aware that I don’t finish shit all the time. And I know I have disappointed many with my inconsistency there and I do genuinely feel bad about that. I’m trying to do better and am very proud of myself to have completed two major works (major for me anyway) during the pandemic. That’s a great deal of progress for me and I’m proud of that. I’m trying to form good writing habits and expectations and not do injury to myself or readers with poor writing habits.

We all have regrets man but I think I can say that I work very hard at not having writing regrets and mostly I have been successful c:

hello i'd love to hear your opinion on that hazbin music video... because the absolute YIKES i felt watching that. with a good sprinkle of cringe. and I liked your last reply to the hazbin stuff so here I am!

Oh I'm so glad someone enjoys my thoughts on the matter!!! I have a LOT on HazHot so any excuse to share them I'll take :D this is mostly just a more coherent version of the rant I sent my friend after watching Addict shckjskx

Firstly, and most importantly, the abuse isn't handled respectfully or with any nuance.

This is hardly a new point, so I'll try to be brief, but basically all of the abuse imagery is incredibly stereotypical. The chains, Angel crying by a bed, the forced kiss, etc. And then the frame that's a blatant sexual assault scene on top of all that? Completely tasteless, and I at least wasn't prepared for it, even with the vague warning at the start of the vid.

Perhaps some stans would argue "stereotypes were needed to get across Angel is abused in the video's short timeframe", but that doesn't work because we already know he's abused, from the comic. And if the argument is that the comic isn't part of main canon and so it can't be expected for all fans to read it, then what's the point of the comic at all? Why reveal such a major detail in an "optional" comic? And this music vid isn't part of main canon either, does that mean we'll get another stereotypical heavy handed intro to Angel being abused in an actual episode too?

Obviously abuse will be a constant aspect of a victim's life, even if subtly, but this isn't that. It's not portraying the horrors and struggles of abuse because it's all the most surface level bullshit, and so instead just comes off as a pathetic attempt to have us care about an otherwise aggravating character.

Secondly, the music video's execution is a confusing mess.

The music video is advertised as being about Angel, which is fair since the song was originally an AD fansong. However, half the video is spent on Cherri, muddling the intentions and making it unclear what the audience is supposed to gather from the video.

I understand the intention is likely to show Angel and Cherri as good friends helping each other through their abuse/trauma, but it doesn't commit to this in any form. If the music video is supposed to be about Angel, then Cherri can appear to support him (which she does, the scenes of them dancing/her comforting him are fine) but having her own segment pulls focus away from Angel. So does introducing a completely new character that's implied to be Cherri's shitty ex or something. At least with Val we had an idea of who he was already.

If the intention was instead to have the music video be about both of them, like as an "impact of abuse" type thing instead of something specific to Angel, then Cherri should've actually been given more screentime. Instead, the video starts and ends exclusively on Angel, as well as him being the sole one in the thumbnail and title. We also probably should've had at least a vague idea of who Cherri's abuser/ex/whoever is beforehand, so we can understand her situation and struggles better.

Finally, some miscellaneous shit.

None of the above is helped by the fact that almost all of the outright abuse is shown in blink and you'll miss it scenes. I refused to try to pause on them while watching, so when watching for the first time I 1) didn't even realize Cherri was with Angel in those shots she's comforting him and 2) didn't realize the sexual assault shot was just that (I thought it was just Val standing menacingly over him). That's really fuckin bad visual storytelling Viv.

Related to bad storytelling, I also originally didn't realize the music video was supposed to happen just after the pilot. I instead thought the main part of the video happened before the pilot, with the end scene being after the pilot as Angel reflecting on his abuse now that he's out of it (which he's not, but that's what I assumed). I only realized otherwise when I saw those Instagram posts floating around.

And finally, regarding Angel still being in the relationship, that makes no sense with what we've been told so far. Angel being still in the abusive relationship means he's still doing regular sex work, however he's supposed to be "clean" while enrolled in the hotel. I'm also pretty sure that until the pilot, Angel had been "clean" for a good while. How would he have gotten away with not doing sex work for Val for that long? And if "clean" just had to do with drugs,,,, why? Wouldn't sex work be considered just as much of a "sin"? Aka Viv can't worldbuild or convey worldbuilding for shit.

Hello everybody!

We’re all back from last week’s company-wide vacation, and I’m happy to report that our crew are rested and rejuvenated! Sometimes, you just need to block out all the work stuff, no matter how much you enjoy it, and let your creative batteries recharge.

So, now that we’re back – what’s going on?

We are in the They Came From Beyond the Grave! Kickstarter’s final days! We’re closing in on both the pledge totals and number of backers from the They Came From Beneath the Seas!‘s KS, so we could really use your help in spreading the word!

What Did We Discuss At The Meeting Today?

Well, first, we went over what we all did during our week off, and how we were doing after that. Where are our respective head spaces, as it were. But you don’t want to hear about that so much, I’m sure, so here’s the other things we talked about.

Mysteries of the World is #1 on DTRPG! still, which is even more gratifying considering how many PDFs went out to backers as part of the Stretch Goals already!

Related, we discussed our next Kickstarter possibilities and it looks like Scion: Demigod is going to be ready for its KS the first week in September! More words on that these next couple of weeks!

In this series of YouTube vids, Eddy goes step by step through the process of how to create RPG books, so if you are interested in how it all happens, both here at Onyx Path and elsewhere across the TTRPG industry, these are invaluable.

Also, while doing these, Eddy has also been running a series of development and project management workshops for our writers and developers. These came directly out of our Developer Town Halls we held all through the first months of Covid-19, and the many requests he had from our developers. So far, Eddy has done some group sessions, and some individual mentoring, and the responses have been fantastic!

I think Covid-19 has hit a lot of creative people hard and even the most driven creators have been hammered in their productivity, so this is us helping folks get back on to getting things done.

(I used two forms of get in a single sentence there. My old HS English teacher T.J. McCauley, who warned us never to use “get” because there is always a better word, must be spinning in his grave.)

Time continues to show that Covid-19 has also affected some of our partners. On sale to the public this week on DTRPG is the PDF and PoD versions of Heroic Land-Dwellers! for They Came From Beneath the Sea!, but the PDF went out to backers in May. Getting the PoD version ready and printed and proofed has just dragged on.

Similarly, our Screen printer has been hard hit, but is persevering slowly. So even though we have KS books almost ready to send as rewards, we still need to have the Screens to ship them all together and that’s been a slower cycle than it has in the past.

But, refreshed now from our week of Not Work, we’re back and rarin’ to go! Ready to tackle these challenges and get our projects through the stages to get to you. Ready to once again pull together all the many threads that go into weaving our tapestry of gaming goodness featuring our:

i didn’t die i just fell in love with that skill tree creator and have done nothing for the past few days but make skill trees and sleep for 3 hour intervals. im very excited for the gameplay on Wednesday but oh man oh me oh my i gotta catch up on a lot of posts lol

tl;dr: Fl4k is a badass. Stop misgendering them or I’ll show up at your home at 3am local time every time and then eat your spine. Bonus: Mr. Chew being an ‘Eridian skag’ is probably due to some funky mutation from eridium/slag/eridian stuff. Kinda like how Threshers have the ability to make singularities because they are native to Elpis, which is a big ol’ Eridian base (which i totally addressed in this post lol). I also gave my opinion on Fl4k’s skills in general, if you’re interested in that. Overall, a very awesome trailer! Definitely lived up to the hype.

i said it before, this trailer was one of the best ones. definitely #2 for me, Zane is still at #1 because i actually laughed during it. the music in this one is definitely the best out of all 4 tho. seems like they’re all variations of the same song, i like this one best. I need this soundtrack sooo bad.

also i know probably no one else following this blog watches one piece but like

that first footstep with the studded boot and the sound effect immediately flung me back to katakuri. god katakuri was a badass. i was so excited to see that fight animated.

mr chew spinning around is my favorite thing ever. i love that you can tell the personality of the pets just from watching the intro.

i know fl4k is like a real badass in this trailer, but i get the feeling they’re going to end up being at least a little soft for their pets. i mean... they have stuffed animals of them ffs.

so... we’re near Sanctuary-III in this trailer? I gotta keep my eye out then. i also want to see if that one claptrap area guess i had is correct or not... this looks like an entryway for the garage so im guessing i wasn’t, but let’s seeeee

yeah it was! i guess possibly upgrading it with the guns gives it a new color scheme? maybe? this could be the gunslinger upgrade!

it looks like their jabber went through the most design changes out of all of the pets. that or this is yet another upgrade (since each pet has 3 states). maybe this is the beefcake version.

i mean... there IS a shitload of cars everywhere. i wouldn’t surprised if it’s near her garage cause it looks like a scrapyard.

but also where in the fuck are all these ‘normal’ looking cars coming from?? it’s not like we see them being used on pandora. all the ones we see in bl1/2 are clearly dilapidated and rusting. big thonk. at least the vans/busses kinda make sense.

For those of you out there actually making an effort: mistakes happen, especially if Fl4k is the first NB person you’ve learned about. Just make sure to correct yourself then move on, and we’re okay. Everyone has to learn sometime and it’s better to put in the effort than not care at all. It will become second nature.)

Fl4k is such a badass, they really are way different than i expected (personality-wise), but i am not complaining. gearbox knows me better than i know myself, so i know i’m going to end up loving Fl4k anyway. ProZD did such a fantastic job, i honestly did not recognize him at first! i can tell with certain words now, but wow i am blown away.

i hope we’re able to climb that bird’s nest lookin’ thing in the back. it would be perfect for sniping and/or placing ur clone for maximum coverage.

idk i feel obligated to give my opinions of Fl4k over here since they were recently released. I am digging them 100%, tho i was kinda surprised (not in a bad way) they’re not as... i guess soft as i was expecting from their character design with the plushes and the face on the backpack and the smiley face pin, but i imagine that’s different when they’re interacting with their pets. im super curious to see how this VH group’s dynamic is going to go.

mechanically, their skills seem perfect for people who loved sniper Zer0 and in general Mordecai, with a splash of Salvador tossed in for good luck. I am a dirty melee Zer0 main and i prefered Phasewalking over Bloodwing (altho i still play mordy bc he’s best bl1 VH) so, while I am definitely going to give Fl4k a go, they’re not my main bl3 Vault Hunter, that’s reserved for Zane and his lovely ability to befuddle enemies and run around. Funnily enough, I’m not even a fan of pet classes, so Fl4k being second in my play order is pretty funny. Tho, yeah, Amara being last is also pretty weird. I guess I don’t necessarily enjoy melee, I just enjoy messing with the bad guys lol

ohh, also, I am most interested in the upgrade for mr. chew that gives him the ability to create singularities and is called ‘Eridian Skag’.

so I’m not saying my theory that the threshers on the moon were connected to Eridians was right, I’m just saying they’re the only form of wildlife we know that has a singularity ability (outside of Mr. Chew, apparently).

im just saying gearbox, you should hire me to write your deep lore for you cause i’d do it for free

im wondering if we’ll be seeing skags with wormhole abilities in bl3. maybe the constant exposure to slag is starting to mutate them further beyond just elemental bonuses (on badass skags). We know Maya’s phaselock has a singularity ability (so does Amara’s phasegrasp), and that is sorta ‘occurring naturally’ (you know, as natural as siren powers can get) unlike the singularity grenades we encounter which use our known technology. plus, uh, whatever happened to the destroyer’s eye in TPS that made it create a singularity/wormhole by injecting it with a fuckload of slag. that probably has something to do with this as well.

but geez i really hope mr. chew is okay with being all slag/eridium-ed up. i guess being badass elemental skags doesn’t appear to hurt them, just make them more powerful, unlike humans. maybe that has something to do with sentience, if slag/eridium/eridian stuff actually is driving bandits crazy. could explain why/if the jabber doesn’t get an element like the skag (eridian skag) and spiderant (fire) do, since they’re described as semi-sentient...

anyway.

Fl4k is cool. Definitely a neat trailer- my second favorite for sure- and the skill tree drop blew me away because i was not expecting it. im expecting a lot of Fl4k mains in the first few weeks of gameplay because they look like a lot of fun!

(SU:F Theory - Snow Day) Has Steven REALLY Changed That Much?

...Or is he just still dealing with an old issue?

(I intended to post this last week, but apparently forgot to actually, you know, post it. >_< I’ve got another one upcoming, but here’s this one for now.)

EDIT: Some edits have been made. Not gonna stress myself over the details this time.

My Feelings on the Ep

Okay, I dunno about you, but I actually found the story of Snow Day pretty upsetting. The whole thing was about Steven running from his childhood favorites, and he pretty much stated that it was because he didn't want to be seen as a kid.

Sure, I can get behind not liking when people assume you haven't changed, especially when the changes in question have to do with you learning and growing (been there... -.-), but it didn't feel like that was the real issue. I mean, there's growing up and changing, and then there's more-or-less trying to hide, or to erase the past. IMO, this ep showed Steven trying to avoid "kids stuff" to an extreme. He literally jumped over the edge!

And not just the kids stuff, but it feels to me like he's been avoiding silly stuff in general, like that goofy charm that seemed like an essential character trait throughout the first series.

Even the idea that he could've left behind so much of the goofiness I love was pretty distressing - it really feels like he's trying to run away from a part of himself, essentially killing a part of himself (or at least a version thereof). But that's not the whole of the issue for me.

To me, it really kind of felt like Steven believed the Gems were wrong to still want to appreciate the old stuff with him - not because of “seeing him as a child, still,” but... like they couldn't still appreciate the way he used to be, even in a nostalgic sense. Like he believes that they shouldn't be allowed to enjoy the silly stuff, either. Or the little things in general.

(If you're not taking the time to pet something cute, I'd say it's pretty serious.)

Also: come on!! The Cheeseburger Backpack and Together Breakfast are two of the most iconic things of the series-es! And personally, like I kind of said, I’d say Steven's goofiness is right up there with them! Even the vegetarianism! Remember how big Steven was on hot dogs?

It was even in the first opening of SU!

I don't mind that SU:F is more mature than SU, but it feels like it's missing a lot of the heart that made SU so easy to love. I’m even noticing that there's been a shortage a star-iris-endings. I’m pretty sure the last iris was used in Guidance... for a fake ending.

Not that I think the star-iris should be forced, but it seems like it's not being used, even when Crewniverse has a perfectly good chance to do so. The fact that they've used it at all suggests that they're not trying to avoid using it - more like they've fallen out of the habit, or something. And I’m really starting to feel the absence of the little bit of lighthearted warmth that it typically brings. It just kinda quietly punctuates just how serious the show has been.

...It's pretty depressing, really.

But yeah, in general, I'm not a big fan of the idea that you have to let go of kid things as soon as you grow up. Doctors believe that play is just as important for adults as it is for children. Heck, that article even mentions reading aloud to someone (and I'd say, by extension, being read to) as a form of play... one of the forms that Steven specifically avoids.

And if you ask me, The No Home Boys sounds like its pretty deep - not just a basic, “silly” kids’ story.

"My favorite story is this classic one where the No Home Boys are chased[...] by a mysterious pursuer, which turns out to be the very fear resting within themselves." - Steven, On The Run

At the very least, it's what led to him having an adventure that led to him learning something important, and to bringing to light - and resolving - some previously-unspoken tension between Pearl and Amethyst.

So at the very least, I wouldn't cast aside childish things so quickly, if only for all the good that they have already brought.

There's also the fact that adult play has been accepted as a pretty important thing in our current society - it's basically our culture now. As said on the YT Channel Lockstin & Gnoggin (in response to COPPA), "This isn't the 1970s anymore[...] Adults are no longer afraid to be interested in things." I mean, heck, I think odds are pretty good that if you’re reading this, you're probably an adult who enjoys “kids stuff.” I know I technically fit in that category - I’m getting old enough that I don't like to think about it. ^_^;

Personally, I believe that the “adults can still like ‘kids’ stuff” thing could really use more representation in mainstream media, ESPECIALLY after the whole COPPA thing. Personally, I’ve always believed that this would be done through Steven Universe.

And personally... I still think odds are good that it will.

Why I Think There's Still Hope for the Subject

The “adults enjoying ‘childish’ stuff” thing isn't just a thing with Millennials and the Internet in general: it's a pretty strong part of the culture of the Crewniverse, what with them actually enjoying Together Breakfast for the release of the ep by the same name. Not to mention donuts topped with Pop Rocks fire salt (exact quote - for Joking Victim), a big bowl of macaroni-and-nothing (for Warp Tour), and even a Rice Krispie temple that promptly got pummeled by a giant hand (technically for Bismuth, but also referencing Jailbreak). And those are just a few examples.

And in general, I've noticed that SU is very Millennial show, featuring values like that the reason for work should be to enjoy life, rather than to make money (Drop Beat Dad), and I've already said that being able to enjoy "kids stuff" as an adult is a pretty Millennial thing.

So to me, it seems like it's probably inevitable that Steven's going to get over the "trying too hard to adult" thing. Heck, if anything, I'd say that Snow Day is just another part of the long-running-buildup.

Steven has a history of trying to cut everything “childish” out of his life, and/or being embarrassed when it's brought up.

This felt like an extension of that history - to me, it feels like this issue leveled up, like he's trying harder than ever before to avoid being associated with "kids stuff." His reaction to Garnet presenting the Cheeseburger Backpack certainly looks like one of embarrassment, and one of not even appreciating the gesture, regardless.

And if you look, this whole thing started when the Gems implied that birthday parties were a "kids thing."

(My apologies for VUDU’s captions - they got better, I promise.)

Since then, he’s been stuck on the idea that he would have to leave things behind as he got older.

Before that, he was trying to convince the Gems of just the opposite.

Little did Steven know that they actually came around, while he was away...

But now? Now that they've obviously come around, he's still having trouble getting over what was once said.

He's even overtly objecting to being called "cute," or like a kid!

I think this is a pretty good example of how one little thing can result in a problem that a person struggles with for a long time afterward; how one idea can result in a person pressuring themselves to try and be something or not, even if the people who gave the idea have changed their minds. I think it's a pretty good example of the kind of baggage - the kind of problems - we carry around with us.

And you know what the official description of SU:F says?

"[A]s [Steven] runs out of other people's problems to solve, he'll finally have to face his own."

I very much believe that this is one of them. =3

Before I saw the movie, I had been spoiled by the “catchup” vid for the last season clearly being narrated by an older-voiced Steven. (So sorry, Hilary, that you want through so much trouble, but the neck wasn't much of a secret to me. XD; ) And spoilers aside, it had been pretty well hinted that he was going to grow up, via both of the “Birthday” episodes.

(Personally, I’m kind of disappointed that we missed the magic growth spurt - I always thought it would've been hilarious. X3)

I’d often thought that Steven was going to grow up when he realized that he didn't have to leave “childish” stuff behind - that he can be grown up without having to "stop being a kid," or worrying about how people would see him if he didn't. I kind of figured it would allow him to feel more comfortable about growing up, and so he would grow up.

But, apparently, that's still a thing he needs to work on.

And sure, I'm glad Steven came around at least a little, but I wonder if it's really enough... especially since he doesn’t even seem sincere on loving that the Gems upgraded the Steven Tag game.

But also, it seems to me like this issue is affecting more of his personality than just his desire to have fun... like he's losing quite a bit of himself. Remember how Pearl once described him?

You have to feel like yourself! Sweet and considerate, and only occasionally obnoxious! - Pearl, So Many Birthdays

It does seem like Steven's been having trouble with the considerate angle, lately. I mean, he kept busting into Jasper's hideout, he took over Amethyst's mentorship program (completely ignoring the feelings of the Gems being mentored), and in general, he's kinda... asserting himself and his opinions more than listening to others('). I'd even say that he's lost a lot of his sweet, and he's... probably more than occasionally obnoxious. ^_^; I mean, Aquamarine and Eyeball certainly think so. X3

Now? Well... I'd say that the Gems have at least as much of a point as Steven does. I have to admit, I feel a lot like Amethyst - I think she has a point about the direction Steven is (or had been) heading, and about what kind of example he was setting.

I agree that the issue is serious enough for Pearl to be justified in being willing to join in (which I really love her doing =3).

(Seriously, I’ve actually been worried for Steven.)

...And now I’d say that her old plea to feel like himself again is even more valid than ever.

In a way, Snow Day felt a lot like So Many Birthdays in reverse: instead of Steven trying to spend time with the Gems and making them feeling awkward about silly stuff, we now have the exact opposite. Now, instead of allowing himself to still be a kid, Steven tries to convince them not to make him be a kid. ...Which, again, is fair, but still. I'd say it goes too far when he hates the idea of "kid."

But yeah... I figure this has gotta be addressed sooner or later. Personally, I can't wait fo the day when it is. XD;

...call me crazy - call me super crazy - but I’m hoping that a certain Pink Doofball* will talk some more sense into him. X3 That, or maybe his dad.

sf9 in london event + concert experience ☽༓･*˚⁺‧͙

this is my 5k essay on what happened 190512 // enjoy reading!!!

so i got to the venue at 11pm the night before bc i was so stressed by the other concerts (ppl at la started lining up at 6pm??) i really wanted to be near the front since im coming all way from the netherlands anyways i better go big or go home!!!! so like i waited there for an hour amongst other fans who were still waiting from a diff concert and when they left other fantasy arrived so we started queueing up. i rlly have to thank sf9 uk casue they were so nice to me and they kept letting me use their hotel next door to let me go to the bathroom and change ♥️

i ended up getting nr1 (or nr21 ig isbdhs) so!!!! we did it LMAO succesfully got a good spot even though my feet and butt were dead by the time anything even happened,, its so hard to wait for 16+ hours to go to a concert but its sf9 so who cares about health 🤡 we didnt get knifed and a lot of ppl came up to ask who the fuck we were waiting for hdbshsh it was so funny

so i started handing out my juho stuff ofc and ppl seemed to like it!!! so im glad haha eventually even i didnt have any anymore so i was happy ppl liked it!

skip to like 1pm which is when the members arrived at the venue, i was a lil late noticing cus i was waiting for those signed narcissus albums but i ran to the front anyways n saw youngbin chani tae leave the van (like what they posted in the travel preview) so that was!!!!! jdbdbsb they were so unbothered it was so cute so i went to get my albums and came back to line (i got all hwiyoung pcs oshshah)

also there were so many other fans handing out fanmades it was so sweet the entire atmosphere was fantastic bc everyone was nice to eachother, rlly everyone i talked to was super sweet!!! also so many fansites with slogans or fans so i went broke once more but it was all worth it theyre so pretty...

at like 4.30 was the special event which lmao i rlly was so tired and i got sooo nervous i had my already signed fanfare from mwave bc if ure gonna sign any album it should be fanfare (looking at ALL the ppl that gave them narcissus) sooo us 20 were led upstairs to some sort of bar area and they had a long table w water bottles so we had to wait a lil while the staff checked our signed items if they were ok and then we had to form a line to wait (they were late) i met another dutchie so that was nice hdhshsh

finally the members walk out and im shaking bc baek ju is the first to enter the room!!! he was wearing that leopard sweater and i didnt even hate his mullet seeing it upclose...

jae was wearing that stupid unbottoned shirt skbssbsb and he came in giving ALL the fanservice like him and inseong were here for the entire thing osbdbsb the other members just sat down and sociaized with eachother like yb kept being adorable and pulling faces at the table it was everything and i couldnt see rowoon bc ppl were standing in front of him but i was!!!! shaking already bc whos idea was it to start off this event with fucking rowoon lmao is like immediate heart attack! ju was last which was oof...

so i had like ideas of what i wanted to talk abt w each members but lmao??? i didnt talk abt any of it to any member my mind was so shook...

first up was rowoon and he just hdhshsh???? the eye contact of this man and just seeing him upclose was so intense tf he rlly was.. so gorgeous n bc of his hair up his eyes looked even bigger n shimmered and the pics rlly dont do him justice... so the first thing i said was wow so handsome bc why not.. i was gagged indeed hdbdbsb he said like woooow our debut album and you already have it signed oabdbs i didnt explain the entire mwave thing bc wud he understand haha but he opened n he saw the pic of himself hes like what do u like better me now or me here??? me being myself im like fanfare bc ur hair down is so cute oahdhshs i rlly not a narcissus hag anyways but fanfare was best rowoon as always... so rowoon did his sign and i asked him to do sky castle impersonation he didnt understand so i just repeated sky castle he was like ah the voice thing im like yes cha minhyuk isbdbsh so he did the fucking thing and i was dying lmao great to have seen it in the flesh ofc...

after rowoon was taeyang and taeyang!!!! was so hyper and attentive like hdnsb whenever u see him in vids hes usually very casual but he was soooo sweet and he too was like ahhh fanfare he took a while to say but he said his heart was still in there hdhdhsh so i was 🤧🤧 i just asked tae if he was doing okay or if he wasnt feeling tired and he said he was doing great bc i was there im like dying hdhshsh so i said yah me too!!!!

jae was after taeyang n jae was jdhshshs soooo into it i know korean fans say ppl change biases to jae after meeting him and i have to say i can see why!!! i didnt rlly know what to say to jae beforehand but he said oooo i really love london and im like haha i dont like it here im like im from the netherlands so he was shocked he said thank you for coming to travel here and he held my hand isbdbsbsb

next was inseong and... the eye contact level was sooo severe he rlly threw all into it hes like hi thank you for coming so much so i was wearing this shirt w a 🥩 on it and im like inseong do u like my shirt bc i know u love meat iahdhahsh so he was laughing n said yea wow this is my favorite shirt oshdhshs rlly had me going LOL he asked if it was my first time seeing them im like yea but im going to korea in the summer tho oshdhshs he said that was great n asked how long i was staying for,,, so im like im going a month so he asked why i was going so long im like im going for u!!! hdbshsb he gave me some hearts and i moved on ndhsbsab

so chani was next up and he looked so shy,,,, im sad bc i forgot to say everything i wanted to say to him at the beginning and i was just like chaniiiiiii and he laughed and signed my album before i went i quickly pushed in a URE MY FAVE DANCER n he highfived me hdhsbs

so youngbin was next and i... lmao... i was weak haha he just read my name hes like hiiiii gia im here being depressed saying HI YOUNGBIN I LOVE U SM thank u sm for everything u do for us and i shit u not my eyes like tearing up oshdbsbs yb asking me how im feeling im like YEA GREAT tears in my eyes oabdbs i rly couldnt speak otherwise id actually have them roll down my face so i just nodded and moved on iabsbs

hwiyoung im so sorry... i was still emo from yb and i even forgot to say happy birthday like pls hit me... hwi cheered for the fanfare album and im like yess hwi i love ur hair here i love the blonde;; hwi thanked me for coming

next up was dawon and jdbsbs i came in saying hi fantasy president so he said yeeee fantasyyyyy and hes an unbothered legend oabbdhssbn he signed quickly and within a minute i was away again jdhdhs

so juho.. my god oshdhshwh hes so:((( pretty let me breathe liek... i came there im like juho i love u oahdhshsh hes just nodding his way going to sign my album and he drawing that heart stickman so im like i have a question can u draw— hes like this is my signature drawing LUCKILY i drew the jucasso next to my name so im like pointing at it being like lmao boy we dont want this heart flop bdhdhsh so he quickly drew it and i said i hope u feel better soon and i was off again,,, rlly dawon and juhos signing went so quick...

so we moved on to the pictures and they were grabbing the chairs and ju was standing all way back at first but then no members went to sit on the chairs oahdhs so JUHO THE MAN WENT FOR THE SEAT NEXT TO THE MIDDLE HDHSHSH and hwi on the other side and jae behind so im blessed like juho... he rlly did it... hdhshsh i quickly go to grab one of my banners bc im like bitch i gotta fucking rep for it now otherwise i wudnt know a pose anyways oahdhshs so i quickly took off my glasses as well

so its my turn im going up and sitting down and like handing this banner to ju and hes like ???? oh???? he quickly reads it n was impressed hdbsb so there was one pic and tae was sitting next to ju and wanted to read what was on the banner so he turned to us but then we had to take another pic so he had to turn back quickly again oahdhshsh and then i had to go again but as i walked away ju was explaining to the members what was on my banner so i :((((

after everyones picture was taken they said goodbye and waved and inseong stayed behind a lil to joke abt drinking beer (i rlly hate him but also me?) and then they left and we got our merch bags n went back downstairs

so i quickly ran over to my bestie to tell her abt it before realizing we had to line up to go inside for the concert so i was like stressed running away i rlly almost lost my first spot LOL but we were let inside the venue i had like 50 bags but i ran to the front and BLESS IT there was like tiny space left at the left side which is were i wanted to be bc juwoon!!!!!! so i rly did get barrier thank god i could put down all my bags as well and the fantasy next to me were great as well!!!!

The breeze blew quietly through the graveyard sending a chill up your spine. The day was grey and cold, seemingly perfect for the occasion. Everybody else had already left a while ago and you now stood alone. For some reason, you just couldn’t bring yourself to leave quite yet. You looked down at the headstone at your feet.

Here lies Jack Morrison. Commander: Overwatch.

It made you sick to your stomach to read those words again. You had hoped and prayed that you wouldn’t have to see them any time soon, yet here you were. The grave was surrounded by candles, flowers and little notes from some of your teammates. The sight was unreal and you couldn’t believe you were standing here looking at it.

Your head ached and your throat was sore from crying and sobbing over the past few days. You were out on a mission when the confrontation went down between Jack and Commander Reyes. When your group was returning home, they had to ground your plane at a different base since the headquarters had been completely demolished. You found out there from the head of the base that Jack was presumed dead.

Your friends tried to comfort you, but it made little difference. The man who you had hope to spend the rest of your life with was now dead and there was nothing anyone could do about it. The explosion was so powerful that they didn’t even find the bodies. Your heart ached for Jack, and you would never see him again. You tried to recount all your happy memories together, but it only made you miss him even more.

The two of you had been together a long while. You met back when you were transferred to work at headquarters a few years ago. Both of you denied having feelings for each other at first, but eventually you caved and started going out. Jack always thought it would be inappropriate to date a fellow agent at his status, but you kept on reassuring him that you loved him, and that as long as you both agreed to keep work separate, there was nothing wrong with it. He was always a little insecure about what other people might think, but he tried not to let it bother him too much.

You knew that Jack and Gabriel’s relationship with each other was fading as the years went on. In fact, it was turning into a rivalry in a way. Commander Reyes was always slightly bitter that he was not proclaimed Head of Overwatch, but it had gotten worse recently. He had started to resent Jack’s leadership. In fact, you had heard from different people around the base that Gabriel was forming a rebellion against Jack. You didn’t know what to believe and always tried to stay out of the drama, which Jack encouraged. He always said it wasn’t worth your time and that if you got involved, it would do more harm than good. When you were sent off on that mission, Jack met you before you boarded the plane, as he usually did. You were going to be gone for a week and he wanted to see you before you were off. He gave you a hug and told you that he loved you and to be safe. You didn’t know then that it would be the last interaction the two of you would ever have.

A raindrop hitting your nose suddenly pulled you from your thoughts. You looked up, and noticed the sky continued to grow darker. A storm must be on the way in, you thought. You bent down and looked at some of the notes that were left.

We’ll miss you. Hope you found peace.

You were a great Commander. Overwatch was lucky to have you.

A good man and an even better friend. You will be dearly missed. May you rest in peace.

Reading the kind words of your teammates brought tears to your eyes. It only added to the gravity of the situation, and reminded you that he was truly gone. You wiped your eyes as you felt the rain start to fall, soaking your outfit and everything around you. The cool rain felt good on your face, and its relaxing sound helped you drown out your sadness.

Just as the rain started, it stopped, or so you thought. All you knew is that you weren’t getting drenched anymore. You opened your eyes and looked up to see Lena standing over you with an umbrella.

“You don’t want to stay out here too long, love. You’ll catch a cold!” she says.

“I know. I just… found it really hard to leave.”

She helps you up and puts a hand on your shoulder.

“I know this is very hard for you, but I want you to remember that we’re here for you. All of us. We want to help you through this.”

You nod, and give her a hug.

“Well, let’s get you inside and out of that wet uniform. That’ll help you feel a bit better.”

With that, the two of you turned and left the cemetery, listening to the sound of the rain.

The day was somber. The looming clouds made the sky a gloomy grey. Fitting for the occasion, you thought. Tears welled in your eyes and threatened to spill onto your cheeks as they had the many days before. You looked down at the stone below you, carved with the words you wished you’d never have to see.

You and Gabe had been together for a few years now. He made you the happiest person alive and every day you spent with him was a good one. Originally, the two of you had tried to keep your relationship a secret, especially from Commander Morrison. However, people talk, and eventually it got hard to keep it hidden. After a while, the two of you decided to drop the secret and deal with any consequences that may arise. Luckily, nothing ever came up. Commander Morrison wasn’t exactly happy about it, but, there was nothing he could officially do.

You knew most of what went on over the last few years. After Venice, the tensions within Overwatch began to rise. Jack and Gabe weren’t getting along as they used to and they both kept dragging people into their fight. It was like a rift was formed between the two sides. As much as you loved Gabriel, you refused get involved in the fight. You didn’t see this as being your business. You feared that this petty argument would eventually turn into something much bigger, and you didn’t want any part of it. You expected Gabe to be angry with you for that, but instead he told you that you were probably very smart for not wanting any involvement. He just wanted you to be happy, regardless of your point of view.

The worst day was when Gabe came into your office only to see you packing up. You told him, with tears in your eyes, that you were being transferred to the Gibraltar base, along with a multitude of other agents. Gabriel was angry. He didn’t understand why Morrison would transfer you. Gabe thought it was to split you guys up, and this made him resent Jack even more. You told him that wasn’t important right now, and that the two of you should focus on enjoying your last few days on base together. The day you left, you two hugged each other and swore to keep in touch and see each other as often as possible. A week later, you were informed that Headquarters was destroyed, and many people were presumed dead, including both Commanders. They never found their bodies.

The next week was spent mostly alone in your room, crying and trying to come to terms with the news. You couldn’t believe it, Gabriel, the man you loved more than anyone else, was dead. You looked at all the old pictures and holo-vids the two of you took together and remembered the good memories you made. Never again, you thought to yourself. Eventually, the day of the funeral came. You put on your uniform and left your room.

The funeral had ended, and you were now alone in the cemetery. You read the markings again and again. Each time, it made your stomach twist with sadness and loss. You felt empty. Your knees shook and tears spilled onto your cheeks as a sob left your lips. Almost poetically, rain began to fall at that very moment. It soaked your hair and your uniform as you stood there, unable to move.

“I’m sorry Gabe,” you said through tears. “I love you.”

You stopped, and looked up suddenly. You felt like someone had been staring at you. Just beyond where you stood, there was a large tree. You could’ve sworn that you saw someone there out of the corner of your eye, but there was no one. You looked around, trying to catch any movement to see who was watching you. You took a few steps forward, before you were pulled out of your thoughts by a familiar voice.

“Y/N!” Reinhardt called out.

You turned and looked behind you to see him standing there with an umbrella, waiting for you.

“If you stay out here, you’re going to get sick,” he says quietly. “Why don’t you join us inside?”

“I know Rein, I’m sorry. I just needed to…”

Your voice trails off. Suddenly, you just can’t find the proper words. You reach up and wipe the tears from your eyes.

“I know, Y/N. Its okay,” he says.

Once again, you can’t stop the tears from falling and running down your face. You stifle your sobs and rub your eyes. Reinhardt walks over to you and puts an arm around your shoulder, beckoning you to leave. The two of you begin to walk out of the cemetery.

“We are all here for you, Y/N. You don’t have to go through this alone.”
