So clearly Macaque has a power, tha he got from someone else, that he CANT control.

And what do we see here in this scene?

The chains broken (again thanks to Lu-Zijing for mentioning that to me), but the shadowpowers OUT OF CONTROL.

In other words: I higely doubt Wukong acutally killed Macaque.

Yes, they got into a fight, but Wukong just wanted to trap Macaque in chains, so he could talk him out of this fight (instead of fighting who used to be his closest compainion).

But... something went wrong. Because right after that line we saw this:

Meaning that Wukong (acdently), destroyed Macaques eye, causing Macaque to PANIC, resulting in Macaque over-using his shadowpowers and then...

In college, rumors went around fast. Everyone knew that Cindy from chem had relapsed for the third time that year, that Alexander had hooked up with every exchange student, that Abby was probably that richest kid in the entire campus and that Ellie was the hottest lesbian dealer that lived in dormitory B5.

That along with the fact that Abby, Ellie and you were roommates. Manny and Dina had, on different occasions tried to get a hold of you and fill you in on how hot the gossip on the three of you were but it just failed to entertain you enough to listen.

there's this sense that only orpheus and eurydice do not know they r in a repeated play. which heightens their love at first sight, the "i feel like i know u but ive just met you" OHHHHH my god.

the original nytw script having orpheus say "ur early. i missed u." directly paralleling hades and persephone but in a different context because OHHHHMYGOD and not even that but the fact that mitchell took it out bc she believed it engaged the brain when the moment should only directly engage the heart. so she had the lovers say each other's name. one last time. im soooo normal

also this is bc one time i was thinking abt hadestown and mitski's remember my name played so . just that song in the context of hadestown is SOOOO bc like. like. how eurydice couldn't rmbr herself when she became a worker but orpheus went down to save her and she remembered.

"it's a tragedy" and doubt creeps in. part of the tragedy lies in the fact that eurydice, "all ive ever known is to hold my own" eurydice runs after him w open arms, chooses to trust him, chooses to follow the trial, and he still turns around. BECAUSE he loves her ohhhmygod im so normal

obligatory mention to the fact that orpheus could never finish the song he was working on because it was a duet. like okay lol. im fine im normal hahahahaha are u fucking kidding me.

hades and orpheus are mirrors, there r two relationships in the musical obviously and it is clear theyre mirrors of each other even w/o the original script line but like.

hades gives orpheus the test that he himself goes through every spring. hades is the villain of the story yes but he is not evil. he gives orpheus the same trial, sees that if orpheus can judge him for losing faith in his wife through the course of their relationship, let's put his romantic nature to the test. let's see if he can feel the absence of his love and keep going. and he cant. bc orpheus has never had to learn how to fend for himself. so when u take away his support system, when u take anyone's support system, how is he, how r we supposed to succeed?

just. the song "how long" encapsulates hades and persephone's relationship SO WELL. "the girl means nothing to me." "i know. but she means EVERYTHING to him" the fact that this is the first time we persephone REFUSE a drink bc shes had enough oh were SOMBER somber the way the whole song just parallels itself and every verse GOD.

the love was there. the hope was there. its a sad song. its a love song.

every single time before they leave. every time they're on stage, eurydice is in front of orpheus. he trusts that she is before him and she never doubts that he is there. it is when their positions change, him in front and her behind that he bends. it is then that doubt comes in.

BUT i'll try to simplify it. hes a demon who always wanted to be a "good" and "holy" angel. when he got his halo he didnt get it the way he wanted to. he felt guilty for a very very long time about the actions he was forced to take to receive it. Later on though he learned to see it as *his* Instead of *His Mistakes*. He wears his halo disguised as a cross necklace now. in contrast to his horns that could not be hidden even if he wanted to. I think the real thing he values is people. because he lost so many to so many different things.

💤SLEEPING - do they fall asleep easily? what helps them sleep?

SLEEPING IS SUCH A HARD ONE. its a bit more complicated then falling asleep easily or not. hes got a pretty scattered sleep schedule just in general. internal clock is either nonexistent or WRONG . and when he does sleep but has nightmares/is restless, he will start floating off the ground. this is a leftover gravitational thing that wants to bring him back to heaven but is not strong enough to do so. it just freaks him out real bad that his body is still technically trying to drag him back away from earth. and also its a rude awakening to fall 6-10 feet to the ground every time he wakes up . AS FOR WHAT HELPS HIM- coffee. because caffeine affects him in reverse . Sleeping in strange places like the couch or floor or his truck. and falling asleep next to his boyfriend. gay shit heals all.

🌈RAINBOW - what advice would they give to their younger self?

AGAIN THESE ARE SO HARD . CHEK HAS MULTIPLE CHILDHOODS. chek is two different souls combined into one. Quimby and Vika. so thats two childhoods just on their own. but they both were consciousnesses (quimby being a demon and vika an angel) so they ALSO experienced childhoods through their humans. but i'll stick with just quimby/vikas childhoods for this. Chek would tell quimby to stop feeling so damn guilty. HYPOCRYTICAL BEC HE STILL STRUGGLES WITH IT. but its not healthy to be as anxious as she was. You are not robbing others of air by breathing. To Vika i think hed have a harder time. I think just in general its harder to reach vika on an emotional level so he would want to say something that would really matter. I dont think vika really needed much "advice" either. So i think he'd just reassure her that she would be remembered. and that above all it would be a good thing.

He very much enjoys the sun and moon and shooting stars. he likes to decorate his favorite sleep spots in the house with glow in the dark stars because he finds comfort in it. After all a very long time ago space was referred to as "the heavens" , so as s demon who is forever disappointed that heaven isnt all its cracked up to be Chek finds hope and comfort in that older concept. Chek isnt sure if a place will ever exist for him/his friends to be at rest for eternity. But he can hope that the sky would be that. And so he thinks of his friends a lot in relation to it. Specifically associating Mark w/ the moon and Red w/ the sun.... as for star gazing. the lore you all were (only shawn was) waiting for. Chek wholeheartedly wants to stargaze with his boyfriend mark. Chek being the butchgay that he is , its very important to him that he gets to show Cityboy Mark the woods. he tries very hard to make it something mark enjoys because he just wants him to get the same joy out of it. Chek is a mainer through and through . so he would bring mark to AMC Maine woods and camp out there so he could show him stars without any light pollution. Chek would realize on the way back home afterwards that he didnt actually look at the stars once bec he was too distracted by mark being there. god damn gays.

some ??hot?? takes: innocent sin feels more "contemporary" than persona 5 in terms of story. all this wild shit happening simultaneously just feels like looking at the news.

this one probably isn't a hot take, but persona games need to bring back character theme songs. 1) it owns, 2) it might prevent the p4/p5 problem of having Too Many Guys so they barely get the spotlight.

oh persona should stop dripfeeding party members. just introduce them all early and then give them arcs throughout the game. also let social links hook in.

thinking any of nocturne's reason endings are good is really silly. they all suck and are narratively unsatisfying, and all of the reasons are abhorrent. this makes sense for the game but i can't imagine someone thinking any of those endings are the best.

manikins should've been able to get a reason. the demifiend can already fuck with creation by restoring the old world / exploding the universe, he should've been able to force through the manikin reason.

i mean, true, but p5 is hilariously modern, they literally use iphones to go to the demon dimension, and forum posts are your sidequests. i get thats not your point though, and it speaks to p2's longevity that its themes are still able to be relevant today. honestly, if p2 was made today, itd work even better with the misinformation age and the rumours theme. this is a tangent, but ive always thought digital devil saga is the most modern relevant smt and it takes its themes to the logical end thats perfectly fitting for the quote unquote new generation of smt, if it was released today it would hit exactly the same. i honestly think if smt was a chronological series with a clear start and end, the dds duology would be a perfect end to wrap up all the themes of the entire series. (that's why i wont rec it to newcomers to smt, but if youve played others and havent played it, you absolutely have to)

to an extent yeah. i think p3 works so well because you already have a lot of the party members from the start who are all intertwined with each other and the lore of the story. persona has always worked best with a small cast but p3 works because all of the cast is relevant but they also dont try to act like they all get along perfectly. like, i dont think mitsuru talks to junpei as a friend. and thats normal. it helps make p3 more serious and not just goofy guys on an adventure, if that makes sense. but from a game balancing perspective, kinda tough to make that work lol. i think every party based rpg works like that, but it wouldnt be unreasonable to introduce characters early and then just not let you use them yet sort of like what p3 did with akihiko's broken arm, not being able to use mitsuru until you got another navigator, etc.

(hmmm about my ocs, man, i have so many, think typical shounen anime cast of main characters sdfjksdf maybe ill tell just about my main MAIN one to not take too much time fdhsj they're called Klepsydra and in short, they have some type of regenerative powers: when they get hurt (emotionally or physically) they take life-force of things around them and use it to heal. It's not conscious on their part and they hate it. They had to learn how to repress emotions to an extreme degree and wear a very thick skin so their emotions couldn't get hurt and put others in danger, they constantly wear a smile and to an outsider they are very happy-go-lucky. they want to isolate from people so they won't get attached, they don't want to risk getting hurt from them or hurting them when they'd be in worse mood, but they also hate being mean, they are very nice in fact, and like to help others, so whether they want it or not, they gather a "small" group of friends around themselves. but when things get Real/Sad/Negative/Dangerous they are the first one to run + they are amazing at dodging hits and avoiding injuries :D two songs i simultaneously associate with them is Dashboard by Modest Mouse and Lonely Hearts Club by Marina fdhasj thank you for asking!!! ;v;)

If your shyness is anything like mine, you don't go up to anyone unless they look like they could use help, like cheering up or groceries, or moving stuff.

So he'd notice you over time; either in the same hallway walking with your friends and laughing, trying to cheer up a fellow brother/sister of sin who didn't have that sparkle in their eye, helping someone who is carrying cleaning supplies or a whole bunch of paperwork or all these grocery bags.

He'll make conversation while you help him, asking questions, anything to get you to talk really.

If you say, "It seems like you search me out now, haha"

He'll reply with, "You make everyone smile, I wanted to do the same with you."

Whenever there's no Clergy business he's with you so you two get closer and he sees more of your personality come through, there's no hope for him, he'd fall, and within a few months, you two would be together.

With his playfulness, you'd both pull pranks on others, but also each other. If a prank you both pull happens to be on one of the Papa's (all of the papas are alive in my world) and you get caught, it's like Scooby and Shaggy trying to hide behind each other until he runs away. 

And if it's on either one of you, there's no "It's one prank and you both laugh about it." Nah it's "This means war."

If by a "MENACE to society" you mean an absolute brat to everyone you're close to, like me, then he's always chasing you around trying to get you back for something you did. 

He's calmly drinking his beverage and you come along and move the arm he's drinking with making him spill his drink, you can tell he's giving you THE LOOK under his mask.

Run far, fast, do zigzags, climb and if he doesn't get you, be cautious, be very cautious. 

You two are always around each other which means you are also around the other Ghouls, you've gotten to be friends with a lot of them but you and Dew, ya just get each other. 

He's the one that helps you prank Swiss. He comes up with ideas if you can't think of anything and destroys the evidence.

Always flipping each other off when you pass in the hall, you with a smile or, if you're feeling it, with your tongue sticking out.

I can see Swiss pouting when you go to spend time with Dew, he'd hug you and you'd have to push yourself out of his hold or call Aether or Mountain to pry him off you.

Like you're a funny pain in the ass, but you are HIS funny pain in the ass.

Dew teases him on it too, it starts one of those girly slap fights that always make you fall on your ass laughing.

You watch a swiss TikTok that's just him shimmying and for a minute you think it's a good idea to Shimmy him so you can see his reaction.

Bad idea.

◆Atsushi was againts your relationship.he told you to immediately stop seeing him.Akutagawa didnt deserve you in his eyes.he was cruel,petty,harsh and dangerous.he was his number 1 enemy for gods sake.

◆you told him that theres absolutally no way you break up with him. his different around you and Atsushi doesnt know him completely.hes only seen him in battlefields,not in normal life.

◆Atsushi is still not sure,but he knows that he cant do anything about it since youre so stubborn.he tries to put up with it.and his kinda relieved that nobody can hurt you when your with Akutagawa.

◆you go outside and ask your bf if hes ok with all of this,and he tild you that although its kinda disappointing,it doesnt matter who you are related to,he loves you for you :)

◆you got sooo excited by his words that you immediately kissed him out of the blue.

In an attempt to attract more kalego simps to the m!lk simps discord server, here is a little thing I managed to write from my kalego x oc fic that im calling All Cacti Bloom Flowers. This peice originally came about in congregation with @snippychicke in this post (snippy wrote their own lil oneshot in there too i reccomend checking it out) thru our reblogs. But here it is again, bc I'm currently the only kalego simp in the server

What started out as occasional bafflement at your actions, swiftly yet slowly grew into agitation at the extent of which you make him feel these.... soft feelings. As the guard dog of babalis, a member of the Naberious clan, and an esteemed teacher, he has little to no experience with such things. he didn't know what to do about it all, and lately the effect you have on him has become far too meddlesome. Thats when he decided to confront Balam with this situation.

In addition to holding an interest in the school system at babalis, you had also grown fairly close with Balam - often times meeting up with him to talk about imaginary creatures, evolution, and other shared interests. Thats why Kalego thought he would be the best demon to talk to about this - that and Balam being the least likely to further irritate him with his reaction to the situation at hand like Opera or the other babalis staff would.

Balam let him vent about how troublesome your effect is, how its been affecting his train of thoughts often and frustrates him beyond end. Surely your behaviour was unusual enough to warrant some level of suspicion, and surely Kalego was not the only one being affected by you - if not to the same extent. But while your behaviour is quite unique and has had certain affects on other people, the reality was not as Kalego hoped.

“It appears to me this whole thing is starting to affect your evil cycle,” Balam started once Kalego had finished with the brunt of it.

“Indeed. That’s why I’ve come to you looking for an answer on what to do about it.” He responds, still a bit riled up from talking about it all.

“Well, I think the better question is, outside of the obvious stuff like affecting your evil cycle and train of thoughts, why do these feelings upset you so much?”

This statement Balam had presented Kalego with caught him off guard. The frustration had in fact, functioned as a wall that stopped him from addressing the core of the issue; which was the fact that you made him feel soft - a feeling that immediately triggers a warning light in his strict guard dog brain. The realization left him clutching at his head and finally taking a seat since coming in.

“…having a more soft-natured relationship with someone doesn’t necessarily make a demon weaker. In fact, it could even make one stronger.” Balam said after a while, allowing his friend to process what was currently running thru his brain. “All cacti bloom flowers.”

Kalego left that night with more thoughts than he bargained for - tho not before running into you. with a stack of papers and books in your arms, you swung around the corner and swiftly stopped yourself just before bumping into Kalego himself, who noticed the way in which you brought yourself to such a quick stop by going up on the balls of your feet and leaning backwards with the grace of a dancer.

“Oh, sorry Kalego. How is your class doing with their new workload so far?” You said, aiming for a conversation revolving around one of your interests (education). But Kalego, having just finished that conversation with Balam, was not ready for an interaction with you.

“Not right now.” He grumbled out, brushing past you.

“oh…sorry” You responded in a soft tone, anxiety starting to form. Kalego is just about always as prickly as a cactus, but your intuition was saying that this was something else; anxiety telling you that you did something wrong. Regardless, you had to give Balam the stack in your hands and thus tried to push it back as you walked into his prep room.

“Hey Balam, Profe Dali asked me to give this stuff to you.” You said, placing it down on the table. As the demon thanked you and began sifting thru the pile, you sat down as the anxiety started flow again.

“…Is something up with Kalego?” You hesitantly asked, fidgeting with the hem of your clothes. Balam looked up from the stack at you questioningly. “I just ran into him on the way here, and my intuition is telling me somethings up is all. I know that, some of the teachers have chosen to avoid telling Robin about the whole Familiar thing, but…. you’d tell me if i did something, right?”

“Well… there are somethings I don’t have the place to tell you about, but I believe that everything will turn out alright, he might just need some time first. try not to worry too much.” Balam says, ruffling your hair with a pat.

The following Monday school was cut short for a special event. The Three Greats organized a Ball every 5 or so years for the teachers and staff of their respective schools; along with anyone else who had a strong interest in working in the field of education and a recommendation to the field by someone already inside of it. The instructors of Babalis were already dedicated enough to work on improving the school for their students outside of work days, sometimes even late at night, but this Ball was a chance for the 3 different schools to commune amongst each other to discuss, learn, and develop new and different ways to improve their respective schools. Bragging and competitions breaking out was not uncommon due to the nature of demons, but the one thing they could all agree on was their duty to protect and take care of the students as they developed.

It just so happened that this year, you were in attendance as Sullivan has recommended you to the field. Your strong interest in joining the same field of work as him did not surprise Kalego, rather your attendance was a bit startling - alto he should have suspected you might show up, what with the Principals wishy-washy attitude. Your appearance tho, thoroughly surprised him. You were wearing a lilac coloured one shoulder dress, with ruffles and a hair style that made you look like a flower. You looked as soft as a petal. The soft feelings swiftly bubbled up again inside of him as he watched you walk around with Sullivan and Opera - but instead of blocking them off with frustration, this time he allowed himself to feel light and fluffy at your appearance. It felt…. nice, calming. Like pruning one of his cacti.

Since his discussion with Balam, Kalego has decided that you were worth getting closer too. Approaching you with Opera and Sullivan next to you though, was not going to happen; Kalego had other people to converse with anyways, so he could wait.

You spent a lot of time at first sticking close to the two demons who had accompanied you, both out of shyness and feeling insecure about your right to be at such an event even with Sullivan’s recommendation into the field. There was also the issue of someone finding out that you are a human, but your dress covered up enough of where a demons wing roots are located and you had spent a lot of time learning about the netherworld and demon ways; Opera and Sullivan even helped teach you how to formally dance just in case. Eventually you got confident enough to wander past your escorts, talking deeply amongst the demons - and once you had found yourself alone searching for Opera and Sullivan to join back up with them, Kalego approached you.
