This post was gonna have a longer intro but it got too long. I wrote a backstory for my PC in a campaign @laurenlizardman is running and I'm fairly pleased with how it turned out.
Louis Smith was going nowhere fast. His parents had cut him off after he dropped out of college, and his “habits” were a drain on what he had left. Louis knew he had to do something, but he wasn’t sure what. And so, he wallowed, until one day someone knocked on his door: his landlord.
“Hey, Louis, you’re late on- wow, you don’t look so hot.”
He didn’t. “Yeah, the rent, I know, I uh… uh…” the withered and addled young man stalled.
In his cruel heart, the landlord felt something unusual at seeing his tenant stammer: pity. He had no reason to expect that Louis would be able to pay him, and had no qualms about evicting him, but his inability to even summon up an answer was nonetheless pitiable. However, given the kind this landlord was, his idea of help would seem strange to some. “You need religion.” “… What?” Louis’ response would be predictable from just about anyone, though in his case he may have simply not heard.
“Religion. You need a spiritual core, y’know? To structure your life around?” The landlord inquired with raised eyebrows.
“… What?”
“Look, I’m gonna give you a little extra time to pay me, okay? But, in the meantime, I’m gonna give you a book, and I want you to read it front to back. I’ll quiz you on it.”
“… Sure.” Louis was not normally one for studying, but didn’t see much other choice. And so he came into possession of a copy of The Asmodean Monograph.
For a few days, Louis would occasionally look at the book, think about reading it for a moment, and then forget to. It wasn’t until he realized he needed to cancel his streaming subscriptions to avoid going in the red that he decided he had nothing better to do. It was a dense read, perhaps the densest he had ever read. Exactly one thousand pages detailing various rituals, draconian laws, references to other supplementary texts, and even a few pages that straight-up talked about how to torture someone.
It was… strangely alluring. More than the promise of power, Louis was drawn by the idea of order, something he severely lacked. The Nine Hells were organized into perfect concentric circles. The devils that populated it lived according to a strict hierarchy, and despite the occasional backstabbing, their way of life had endured for millennia. At this point, Louis was happy to become a cog in the infernal machine if it meant a modicum of control.
After reading the book front to back as ordered, Louis did not immediately report to his landlord. Instead, he cleared a spot on the floor of his apartment. Lit by red candles, he drew a number of sigils, and at the center he drew three triangles: the unholy symbol of Asmodeus. He tripped over his words, not yet used to speaking Infernal, and had to repeat the incantation multiple times. As he was just about to give up, the flames on the candles lept towards the ceiling and black smoke, smelling of sulfur, poured from the drawings on the floor. Louis couldn’t help but cough, but he smiled through watery eyes. When the smoke cleared, he saw an imp hovering in front of him. The imp held onto a long piece of paper- or maybe hide- and a quill pen.
“Name, please,” the little devil asked.
“Uh, L-Louis-,” he stuttered before getting cut off.
“Lemme guess, Cypher?”
“W-what? No, it’s, uh, not a cypher.”
“No, I mean is your last name Cypher?”
“… No, it’s Smith.”
“Huh,” the imp had only the barest hint of surprise in their voice as they wrote Louis’ name. “Kinda boring, but that’s not a problem. Now, you do realize the pact you’re making, correct?” Louis nodded. “Good,” the imp turned the contract around. “Sign here, here, here, aaaand here.”
Contracts with devils were never fair. The book he had read didn’t attempt to hide it, it was simply a matter of course. Louis didn’t care; he wasn’t attempting to bargain with Hell, he wanted to live among devils, to live a life of order. Naturally, he signed.
The imp smiled. “Now that that’s taken care of, we can get to business. First thing: this mess?” The imp gestured around the apartment. “Nuh-uh.”
“I’ll clean it,” Louis answered quickly.
“You bet you will. You got a job?” The imp inquired further.
Louis’ expression dropped. “No…”
The imp sneered in disgust, but only for a second. They flew a bit closer to Louis. “You got a suit?”
“Yeah, but I haven’t worn it since my grandfather’s funeral.” “Get it cleaned and ironed if it needs it. Also, shave and getcha hair cut, you look ratty as shit, my man. And, uh, here,” the imp pressed its own hand into Louis’. It was warm, almost hot, but there was something cold between his skin and the imp’s. Something metal. He lifted his hand to see a pin with the symbol of Asmodeus on it. “We’re gonna get you a job.”

I’m in absolute awe with your writing, I’ve sat here reading so many.
I have an idea for a fic -
lando x Beckham!reader. Reader is playing in the grand final and it’s the Beckham family cheering and they pan the camera to her family bc she scores and they see Lando sitting, cheering and chatting with them so after they decide to hard launch
Chelsea vs Manchester City - Lando Norris x Beckham Reader
Plot: a football match couldn’t be the reason to hard launch a relationship… right?
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
It was the final match of the season and you were up against Manchester City. Your family had of course come to watch you. It was the first time your whole family was there. Usually it just happened to be your twin brother Romeo and your dad. But today you had Brooklyn, Cruz, Harper, Romeo and your mum and dad.
Your boyfriend, F1 driver Lando Norris had also managed to come to your game. This was a surprise and you didn’t actually know he was coming, but with him and Romeo being good friends they’d organised the little surprise for you.
It was 15 minutes into the match and you were yelling to your team-mate Lauren to pass the ball to you, one of the Man-City girls was blocking you but as the ball was kicked in our direction you ran forward for the ball, kicking it back to Lauren running further up the pitch to the goal as its passed back to you.
You are in the zone, you foot breezes through the air and drives into the ball and before you can blink its in the back of the net.
1-0 to Chelsea.
Your team-mates all come up to you pulling you into a celebratory hug shaking your shoulders and one of them evening lifting you up into a hug. You cheer loudly practically screaming.
“And what an incredible goal that was, Lauren James and Y/N Y/L/N, what a dynamic duo they are! Honestly their team work is impeccable” one of the commentators for Sky Sports sounds just as the TV pans to your family. Not that you see that as your too busy celebrating with your team.
It shows Romeo and your dad embrace while Harper and your mother cheer with some polite claps for you. Brooklyn and Cruz are like hooligans jumping up and down chanting your name. Lando also gets shown on camera, and all that can be said is that when the camera replays his reaction along with the rest of your family when the goal went in he looked like a typical British lad at a football match a massive cheer and aggressive yet passionate smile on his face before turning to celebrate with your family.
“Here is the Beckhams family, such an iconic name, all of them here to support Y/N and we also have McLaren F1 Driver Lando Norris with her family. Obviously we’ve seen he’s friends with Romeo Beckham, Y/n’s twin but that was an incredibly passionate reaction for a driver who says he doesn’t involve himself in football as much anymore” a commentator adds, as your family’s celebration is shown.
“So Lando, you like watching my sister?” Romeo asked as he leaned over to Lando who was avidly watching his sister.
“Well, she is my girlfriend mate” he laughs taking his eyes off you for a split second to look at Romeo.
“Your smitten and it’s fucking disgusting” Romeo gags looking at Lando with a harsh expression.
“Calm down man, I might be part of the family one day” he teases elbowing his friend.
“Regrettably I think you already are. Mum and dad love you. Cruz is obsessed with you more than my sister… Harper loves the gifts you bring her and Brooklyn enjoys your convos. I hate to say it but you’re a Beckham” he laughs, he loved that his sister had actually ended up with Lando, he was a good friend and someone he could trust with his twin. Someone he was insanely protective over.
The match continues, Man City equalise just 5 minute before halftime. Sam Kerr your teammate scored one minute before, just after you got a yellow card that had both you and your family crying out in protest. You to the ref and your family just to one another.
Everyone could see the unhappy look on Lando’s face as he complained to your dad and brother.
After halftime break where you spoke about strategy and how to keep up the effectiveness going forward it was back out onto the pitch for all of you.
You scored another goal, making the scores 3-1 and before you knew it time was up and you were celebrating with your girls the win of the championship. You also were excited as this was your’s and Lauren’s chance to get onto the English Women’s Team.
After you showered and got out of your sweaty kit you went out to find your family and boyfriend. The first person you saw was your dad and you ran up to him pulling him into a massive hug.
“There she is, my little star!” Your dad cries holding you tightly against him. The rest of your family hug and kiss you, making it known just how proud they are of you. Lando was the final face you turned to see. Your family of course knew about the two of you and had seen you two interact in the family house and when you all went out for dinner.
He pulled you in for a soft kiss, Cruz and Harper immediately teasing you about it while Romeo cringes away.
“Lan, please that’s my twin sister” he cringes and looks between the two of you who have now finally pulled away from each other.
“Awwww leave them Romeo, I see myself and your father in them, but even more romantic” your mother smiles and you cannot help the big goofy grin that comes over you face.
“So, I may have been on TV, I’m kind of famous now!” He grins and Brooklyn and your dad laugh at his joke.
“Haha very funny baby” you laugh sarcastically and look at the rest of your family who have slowly started to back away to leave you and Lando alone.
“Where are you guys going? I thought we were all going to dinner and then me, Brooklyn, Cruz, Romeo and Lando were going to the club to celebrate?” You ask as they all look to one another debating who was going to explain.
“Yes, but we’ll meet you there. Lando’s driving you and Romeo!” Your mother starts and before you can even ask where Romeo is going if he was going in the car with you.
“Before you say anything I’m going to the toilet. That game was riveting and I couldn’t leave my seat, okay? I’ll meet you at the car” Romeo says before jogging of round the corner. The rest of your family also left and you were left with Lando, standing hand in hand.
“Baby have you seen twitter since the match?” He asks his brows slightly furrowed and a nervous aura around him.
“No, I haven’t why? Has something happened?” You ask looking over him, checking out his know awkward body language.
“Well, we are … sort of trending because I was sat with you family, people think we’re dating now.”
Tumblr media
“Well, we are dating…” you giggle and he nods slowly.
“I know, and we’ve been dating for a while and I just wanted to know if maybe you thought it was time we … hard launch?” He blurts out and you just keep smiling at your silly boyfriend who looks so nervous asking you this. Anyone else would think he was proposing to you right now.
“Yes, let’s do it!” You smile at him squeezing his hand.
“R-really?” He asks and you nod, pulling him in and kissing his cheek.
“Yes baby.” You nod.

Scrubber
Your actions on the field are a product of your childhood idol
Barça Femení x teen!reader
Tumblr media
pt. 2 masterlist
Warnings: reader suffers from the scrubber trait. 🥹
A/N: #yanited (not proofread as always x)
It was the last few minutes of the semi-final against Chelsea. If you kept the clean sheet at Stamford Bridge, you were sure to win it. If you didn’t… well, Fridolina tried explaining to you that you’d still win, but you weren’t willing to see for yourself.
“(Y/N), watch the wing!” yelled Mapi, who pointed to the flank. Lucy had overlapped and when the possession switched, you were left to take on Macario.
You glanced in the direction of the left wing, feeling slightly — no, very scared to go against Macario… on your own.
You could tell just by looking at her for a split second that Mapi was a bit worried for you too, and if she could deal with Macario she would, but unfortunately you were closer.
Nevertheless, you ran towards her side-on, trying to anticipate her next move. You knew what Mapi would say; hold her off until Lucy’s back in position, just delay her.
At the same time, you knew what Nemanja Vidić would do, and that is knock the living daylights out of her with a slide tackle. Guess what path you decided to take?
You sent yourself flying feet first towards the ball. As you slid across the grass, pushing the ball out of play. The last thing you saw before getting to your feet again was the distraught expression of Macario as she tumbled over your body, seemingly going headfirst towards the ground.
You could barely hear the groan she let out, because soon you were stood up and Mapi was at your side, patting you on the back for your tackle. Lucy ran to retrieve a ball and quickly toss it in to resume the play.
You hadn’t even registered your tackle until the side of your thigh started to hurt a little. A short glance beyond your shorts helped you discover that it was a bit red, but the tackle was worth any bruise that was sure to form in its place.
The game only started to pick up again when the red card was shown to Buchanan. Holding down the back line when the through balls and dribbles kept coming felt like a real Vidić-esque thing to do.
If it wasn’t already super obvious, Nemanja Vidić was your idol. You bled blaugrana in every shape and form, but that didn’t stop you from taking inspiration from the former Manchester United defender. If you hadn’t been a lifelong Barcelona fan, you would’ve trialed for the Manchester United academy and played for them just to say you played at your idol’s former club. You always had a pen and paper on hand in case you happened to come across him, and if that ever did happen you’d immediately get it tattooed (legal or not, you’d find a way).
The team found your love for Vidić very endearing. It was obvious that you admired his fearlessness because of how you tried to imitate it on the field by putting your body on the line, and Lucy loved that; she called you a ‘little brick wall’. Irene was a more solid defender than you, though. Your tactic was to just throw yourself at the ball whenever you were in doubt. She actually had tactics.
So, when Lauren James was at the edge of the box, winding her leg up to take a shot, you couldn’t find the time to think before flying in, cutting her out. You were smart enough to face the other way, and the ball deflected off your back instead of your face.
“¡Así es!” Ona yelled from the other side of the pitch, running into the box to defend further until Lucy cleared it down the wing.
The match ended with the scoreline being 2-0 to Barcelona. Everyone said your tackles were the defining factor that kept it that way, but you thought it was all thanks to Aitana, Frido and Cata. Regardless of who did what, you were happy your team were into the finals. You were happy you did something to keep them up on aggregate.
You ditched the celebrations a bit early to go sit down in the locker room and get your daily logins on Hay Day. The adrenaline wore off almost immediately after you sat on the bench, and your attention was brought to the minor grazes and bruises scattered along your legs. You felt one on your abdomen and somehow, you had a scratch on your shoulder.
You were glad. Vidić would never come out of a big match like that unscathed. You did your idol proud on the field, or so you hoped at least.
Most people often asked why you wanted to be a defender and subject yourself to the most physical parts of the game. Truth be told, you just really loved denying people of a goal. Lucy said you ‘played for the badge’ and despite not knowing what that meant, you hoped it was good.
You were also really bad at aiming and every time you cleared the ball or made a pass up field, you hoped and prayed it would at least go straight. You could never be a goal scorer like Caro or Aitana or Mariona.
“(Y/N),” a voice called out. You looked up from your phone to see Lucy. “Why aren’t you out celebrating?”
“I almost missed my Hay Day login. Have to do that before anything,” you replied. Lucy laughed, walking closer and sitting down on the bench beside you.
She put an arm around your shoulder, the way she always did. It felt older sister-y, and you liked that. “You really know how to tidy up back there,” she remarked. You smiled slightly, your cheeks burning up. Lucy was an insane defender so her praise meant the world to you. “Thanks, Luce.”
“They’re looking for you to give you the Player of the Match trophy, but you ran away too fast,” Lucy laughed, and your eyes bulged out of your skull.
“What about Aitana? She was the one that scored.”
“And you’re the one that kept out almost their entire team. You deserve this!” Lucy added, shaking you. You were a bit confused because you didn’t think your tackles were that vital, but you were proved wrong.
“Okay, okay. I’ll go out in a bit, after I put my slides on,” you responded. The woman smiled and gave you a tight side hug.
“Nemanja would be proud, scrubber. Good job today,” Lucy added while she stood up and began to walk away. Your face couldn’t help but form a smile of its own.
“But, don’t start slide tackling in every game. The last thing we need is for you to get hurt trying to wipe someone out with a Brexit,” she said sternly, suddenly turning around with a finger pointed at the plotting expression on your face. You raised your hands in defense.

The morning sunlight streamed through your apartment windows, casting a golden glow on the sleek black furniture and stacks of PR boxes you’d yet to unbox. A sharp knock on your bedroom door made you groan as you finished brushing the final stroke of your jet-black eyeliner.
“Y/N, are you ready? We’re going to be late!” your manager, Lauren, called out.
“I’m coming!” you shouted back, setting down your eyeliner and grabbing your leather jacket.
Today was a big deal: you were modeling for Eclipse Noir, a major fashion brand known for its bold, goth-inspired designs. It was one of the biggest collaborations of your career, and you couldn’t afford to mess it up—not that Lauren would ever let you forget that.
As you descended the stairs, Lauren was waiting by the door, scrolling on her phone. Her sharp suit and stern expression reminded you of why she was one of the best in the business. But when her eyes snapped up to meet yours, there was an unmistakable glint of irritation.
“So, are we going to talk about this?” she asked, holding her phone out to show you the glaring headline:
TMZ Exclusive: Influencer Y/N Spotted at Shattered Souls Concert in LA!
The article was plastered with a photo of you in the VIP section, looking effortlessly cool as you leaned against the barrier. Fans were already dissecting every detail of your appearance, and speculation about your connection to the band was running wild.
“Send me that. My makeup looks really good,” you said in a joking tone.
Lauren looked at you with a raised eyebrow.
You rolled your eyes. “What’s there to talk about? I went to support Caitlyn.”
Lauren sighed, pinching the bridge of her nose. “You know how this looks, right? It’s one thing to go to a concert; it’s another for everyone to think you’re dating a rockstar—or worse, being used for clout.”
You snorted. “Caitlyn and the rest of the members are good friends of mine. Since when do I care about what TMZ thinks?”
“Since your brand is involved,” Lauren shot back. “You’re about to model for one of the most exclusive fashion labels in the industry. We need to make sure your image stays polished.”
“Polished?” You raised an eyebrow, gesturing to your edgy black outfit. “I don’t think anyone’s expecting me to play it safe.”
Lauren shook her head but couldn’t suppress a small smile. “Fine, but keep your head in the game today. No distractions.”
Tumblr media
The Eclipse Noir photoshoot was held at an upscale studio in downtown LA, its interior a moody mix of industrial and gothic aesthetics. Chandeliers hung from the high ceilings, casting dramatic shadows against the exposed brick walls.
You were ushered into hair and makeup almost immediately, where a team of stylists worked their magic. Your outfit—a tailored black leather jacket with studded accents, paired with high-waisted pants and knee-high boots—fit perfectly into your aesthetic.
As the cameras started flashing, you felt the familiar rush of being in your element. Each pose was deliberate, every expression calculated. The photographer praised your ability to embody the brand’s edgy but elegant vibe, and even Lauren looked pleased for once.
“Perfect, Y/N. Just one more look,” the photographer called out as a stylist adjusted your jacket.
Between shots, you caught glimpses of your phone lighting up with notifications. Comments flooded your Instagram posts, and fans were tagging you in the TMZ article nonstop.
It wasn’t until you were in the dressing room changing into your last look of the day that a message from Caitlyn popped up:
“Hey, how are you holding up after the TMZ thing? Let’s catch up. Meet me at Sable Café after my gig tonight?”
You smiled, typing back a quick reply:
“I’m fine, just amused. See you tonight.”
Tumblr media
Later that evening, after finishing your shoot and grabbing a quick dinner, you found yourself at Sable Café. The small, intimate space was lit by warm hanging lights and smelled of freshly brewed coffee. It was quieter than usual, which you appreciated after the whirlwind day.
Caitlyn was already there when you arrived, seated in a corner booth with a steaming cup of tea and a cup of coffee she got for you. She waved you over, her usual calm demeanor replaced by a faintly amused smirk.
“Hey,” you greeted, sliding into the seat across from her. “How was the gig?”
“Same as always,” she said, leaning back. “Though Vi was even more over the top than usual.”
You chuckled. “Sounds about right. So, what’s up?”
Caitlyn tilted her head, studying you. “You tell me. That article’s got everyone buzzing about you and the band.”
You shrugged, taking a sip of your coffee. “It’s TMZ. They’ll forget about it by tomorrow.”
“Maybe, but you’re not exactly blending into the background.” Caitlyn’s tone was teasing, but her expression softened. “Seriously, though. How are you feeling about it? You’ve been in the spotlight before, but this is different.”
“It’s fine, really,” you said, brushing it off. “If anything, it’s funny. People are acting like I’m dating someone in the band.”
Caitlyn laughed. “Well, you did have that little moment with Sevika.”
You rolled your eyes. “It wasn’t a moment. She’s just... Sevika. You know how she is.”
“True,” Caitlyn admitted, a small smile tugging at her lips. “Still, you’re handling it well. I was half-expecting you to freak out.”
You smirked. “Give me some credit. I’m tougher than I look.”
As the soft hum of café chatter surrounded you, Caitlyn took a slow sip of her tea, her eyes lingering on you thoughtfully. You set your coffee down, arching an eyebrow at her.
“What?” you asked, a small smirk tugging at your lips.
She leaned forward, resting her elbows on the table. “You know, the band’s heading out on tour soon.”
“Okay…” you said, dragging out the word. “And?”
“And,” Caitlyn continued, her tone deliberate, “I think you should come with us.”
You blinked, caught off guard. “What?”
“Think about it,” she said, a spark of excitement in her eyes. “We’ve been talking about expanding our audience online, and your platform is massive. You could help us create behind-the-scenes content, give fans an insider look at the tour. Plus, we’d get to hang out more.”
You hesitated, tapping your fingers against your cup. “I don’t know, Cait. I’ve got my own projects lined up. And after that TMZ article…”
“That’s exactly why it’s perfect,” Caitlyn interrupted. “Lean into it. If people are already talking, give them something to talk about. Show them the real story.”
You sighed, running a hand through your hair. “And by ‘real story,’ you mean what? Taming Jinx? Me babysitting Sevika and Vi while they flirt with half the planet?”
Caitlyn chuckled. “You’re not wrong, but you’d also get to see what it’s like behind the scenes of a tour. Think of the content opportunities—mini vlogs, exclusive interviews, maybe even some collabs. It’s a win-win.”
You leaned back in your chair, considering her words. The idea of touring with the band was tempting—there was no denying that. The exposure could be huge for your brand, and the experience itself would be unforgettable. But you couldn’t ignore the potential chaos, especially with Sevika in the picture.
“I don’t know, Cait,” you said slowly. “It’s a lot to take on.”
Caitlyn smiled, sensing you were warming up to the idea. “Just think about it, okay? No pressure. But I’d love to have you there.”
You sighed, a small smile creeping onto your face. “Fine. I’ll think about it.”
“Good,” Caitlyn said, raising her tea in a toast. “Here’s to adventures—potentially disastrous ones.”
You laughed, clinking your cup against hers. Despite your reservations, the idea of going on tour with Shattered Souls had planted itself firmly in your mind. And something told you that this was just the beginning of a wild ride
Tumblr media
The faint hum of an engine greeted you as you stepped onto the tour bus, your suitcase rolling behind you. The space was surprisingly cozy, decked out with plush seating, a mini kitchenette, and bunks lining the narrow hallway. A faint scent of leather and something faintly citrusy lingered in the air, blending with the faint echo of Vi humming a melody from somewhere deeper in the bus.
“Welcome to the chaos,” Caitlyn said, grinning as she leaned against one of the built-in couches.
Vi popped her head out from a back corner, her guitar strapped across her chest. “Hey, rockstar!” she greeted, giving you a casual salute. “You’re brave for signing up for this circus.”
You laughed, pulling your suitcase into the bus. “What can I say? I like a challenge.”
Jinx, sprawled out on one of the couches with a drumstick twirling between her fingers, snorted. “You’re gonna regret saying that when Vi starts her late-night jam sessions.”
“Don’t listen to her,” Vi said, plucking at her guitar strings. “She loves it.”
“Lies,” Jinx quipped, smirking.
Caitlyn nudged you gently. “Come on, let me show you where you’ll sleep.”
You followed her down the narrow hallway, passing bunks stacked two high. She stopped in front of one with a neatly made bed, the bottom bunk open for you. “Here you go,” Caitlyn said, gesturing. “Home for the next few weeks.”
“Perfect,” you said, sliding your suitcase beside the bed. “Thanks, Cait.”
“Settle in. We’ll hit the road soon,” Caitlyn said before disappearing back to the front of the bus.
-
You knelt by your suitcase, unpacking essentials and carefully organizing them into the small shelves above the bunk. The space was tight but manageable, the rhythmic hum of the bus adding a strange sense of calm. You reached up to place your toiletry bag on the highest shelf when you felt it—a bold, unmistakable hand pressing against your ass.
Startled, you snapped around, ready to deliver a sharp retort. Instead, you found yourself face-to-face with Sevika. She leaned in close, one arm lazily gripping the rail of the top bunk above you, effectively caging you in. Her towering frame loomed over you, and her signature smirk was even more infuriating this close.
"Nice view," she drawled, her voice low and rich, dripping with amusement.
You arched a brow, crossing your arms as you tilted your head up to meet her gaze. “Wow, straight to harassment. Do you always skip the foreplay?”
Her grin widened, clearly delighted by your sass. “Foreplay’s overrated. I like to get to the point.”
You let out a dry laugh, leaning casually against the bunk behind you despite the way her proximity made your heart race. “Is that what you call this? Because right now, it’s giving ‘desperate.’”
Sevika chuckled, her gaze flicking to your lips for just a second before returning to your eyes. “Desperate? That’s a bold assumption, sweetheart. Seems like you’re still standing here talking to me, though.”
“Only because you’re blocking the way,” you shot back, nodding pointedly toward the arm she had resting above you. “Or do you think looming over people is some kind of charm tactic?”
She shifted slightly, leaning in closer, her smirk never faltering. “It’s working, isn’t it?”
“Not the way you think,” you replied, your voice steady, even as your pulse betrayed you. “But hey, if this is the best you’ve got, I can see why the fan girls swoon. Low standards must really be your thing.”
Sevika laughed at that, a deep, rumbling sound that somehow sent a shiver down your spine. “You’ve got a sharp tongue, Y/N. I like that.”
“And you’ve got no sense of boundaries,” you quipped, reaching up to tap the arm she still had braced above you. “Mind moving? I’ve got things to do.”
Instead of retreating, Sevika leaned in even closer, her smirk softening into something more challenging. “What if I said I don’t mind staying right here?”
You tilted your head, refusing to back down as you matched her stare. “Then I’d say you’re about to have a real boring time watching me unpack.”
She grinned, finally stepping back and dropping her arm. “Alright, you win—for now. But don’t think I’m done with you, sweetheart.”
“Wouldn’t dream of it,” you replied with a sly smile, brushing past her. “But next time? Try asking nicely. It might get you somewhere.”
As you turned back to your suitcase, you caught Sevika’s low chuckle behind you, her voice floating down the hallway as she sauntered off. “You’re going to be fun, Y/N.”
You smirked to yourself as you resumed unpacking. Let her think she had the upper hand. If Sevika wanted to play games, she’d quickly learn you weren’t one to lose.
This is gonna be a long tour.

One For The Money, Two For The Show
Tumblr media
pairings: lionesses x captain!reader
warnings: swearing. england’s captain gets a red card for the very first time, and it doesn’t go down well with the team.
author’s note: first time writing for the woso community lol :) anyway, hope you guys like it !!
•••••••
''I went for the ball! You have eyes, right?''
The referee gave her a look, the same one a disappointed parent would give their child after letting out a swear word. ''Keep it clean, you know better.''
The England captain had raised an eyebrow at that last bit of the sentence, the officials usually not keeping her experience as a player in mind. Y/N just gave her a mindless nod, the yellow card was given- no need to fight it anymore.
''Clearly not a foul.'' Georgia said to her teammate, sticking out her hand for a subtle high-five.
Y/N chuckled at the midfielder’s words. ''Don’t worry about it, G.'' She slapped her hand, jogging back to her position.
The game continued, more yellow cards having been handed out to both the English and Scottish players. The referee’s patience seemed to have run out by some weird, unknown reason that none of the players had worked out.
Despite this, Y/N wasn’t too worried about her own yellow card. She’s had them plenty of times in the past, for the right and wrong reasons, so she was practically chilling on the pitch as her team led the match 3-0.
However, this changed as Hempo received her first card of the night.
She and the Manchester City player had a great friendship. Lauren joined the squad at a young age, and Y/N knew how hard it could be as the youngest of the team, so she took her under her wing. The younger one had been immensely grateful for the striker’s support, finding a role-model and older sister figure in her.
The captain hadn’t seen what had caused the referee to lift up the yellow card towards the winger, so she separated from the players as they were waiting on a corner, and walked over to the official.
''Why did you give her a yellow card?''
For some reason, the question was too much for the woman in the neon clothing, and without any words, she pulled the same card she had given out seconds ago and held it up high.
Realization dawned on her, the outcome of two yellow cards was one of the easiest rules in football.
Y/N didn’t even see the red card being brought out, her heart dropping to her stomach working as a distraction to her surroundings.
''No, no, no- what did I even do?'' As soon as the gears in her head started going again, her mouth started speaking.
The referee didn’t answer her question, simply letting out a deep breath as she could see the sea of Lionesses running up to her. ''Fucking hell, she didn’t even do anything!'' Rachel yelled, a big frown on her face as she fought her way to the front.
While a large number of her teammates argued back-and-forth with the referee, Millie and Alex brought their younger captain into their arms.
''It’s okay, don’t worry~'' They chorused, repeating the words over and over again, seeing the distress on their teammate’s face.
''I just asked her a question! I swear, it was just a question!'' Y/N defended herself, rambling almost.
''We know, we believe you, don’t worry about it.'' Alex assured her, feeling sad as she watched the captain’s distress unfold.
The referee tried getting closer, urging Y/N to get off the pitch. ''You have to get off now, Y/L!''
''Why are you giving me a fucking red card? I just asked you why Hempo got a yellow! What, we can’t ask questions now?'' She was going through all the stages, anger taking over as she pulled herself out of Millie and Alex’s embrace, stomping over to the referee.
''It was the tone, Y/N.'' She answered, although she didn’t seem too sure herself.
The striker’s eyes widened. ''What tone?! I asked you a simple question!'' She couldn’t believe what she was hearing.
''You’re going to give red cards for questions now?!'' Ella spoke up, her voice booming above those of the others.
''Y/N, get off the pitch now, you’ve wasted enough time now.''
The captain had an uncharacteristic, defeated look on her face. She was about to take off her captain band, but a hand stopped her. ''No, you’re not going anywhere.'' Millie grabbed her arm, and gently dragged her behind herself, so the Chelsea player worked as a human shield between the referee and her teammate.
Y/N was touched by her team’s protectiveness. As the captain, she was often the one to stick up for others or argue with the officials a little longer than necessary if it pertained members of her squad. The fact that the center forward had never received a red card in her professional career, must have been an extra factor. She wasn’t a clean player, per say, but she knew how to toy with the boundaries of the game, and her great argumentative skills greatly helped in avoiding being booked.
''You alright?'' Lucy asked, pulling her further away from the chaos.
''I got a fucking red card, Luce! No! I am not okay!'' She let out, the older woman instinctively caressing her back at the visible frustration. ''You’re good, it’s alright.''
''It’s not- oh, fuck sake.'' Y/N swore, glancing away from Lucy to her teammates still fighting her red card with the referee.
LJ joined them, watching the chaos unfold. ''I turn around for one second, and suddenly everyone is running towards the ref.'' Lauren said, her indifferent tone making Lucy chuckle.
''The boss got a red.'' The Barcelona defender explained.
The youngest James sibling's eyes widened. "What? You?" She pointed at the captain, who nodded, unamused.
Y/N could see the official signaling for her to come closer, ignoring the arguments the Lionesses were giving her. ''You have to get off now, this is becoming a hazard. I’m not going to change my decision.'' She said, matter-of-fact.
It was evident that whatever the captain would tell her, would fall on deaf ears. ''Whatever, you’re fucking miserable.'' She looked her in the eyes as the insult was spoken, not an ounce in her mind or body caring about the consequences of it.
The truth was that she was the miserable one. It might have been naive of her to think she could go her entire career without receiving a red card, but she didn’t expect today to be the day.
She walked over to Millie, taking the captain's band off and handing it over, without saying anything further.
The rest of the English squad watched with sad eyes, and disheartened feelings as their captain, and arguably most important player, walked off the pitch with still double digits in game time left.
Sarina had jumped out of her seat the minute the referee pulled the second yellow card out of her pocket, infuriated over one of her key (and personal favorite) players being expelled from the game over something silly as asking why her teammate was being booked.
As Y/N passed her to go inside the tunnel, the Dutchwoman grabbed her hand, her eyes still on the game. ''We’ll talk, okay?'' Sarina didn’t expect an answer back, having worked with the player long enough to know she would want to chat with her about it.
It was a despairing sight to see the world-class player stroll all alone to the changing room, her usual confident aura replaced for hung shoulders, and eyes that told the entire world what she thought of herself.
Disappointing.
That was the best word she could come up with to summarize her feelings; disappointed in herself, disappointed in the officials, but above all, she felt like she had disappointed her team and staff- and as the captain, that was something hard to swallow.
She sat alone in the changing room- members of the staff figuring she wanted to be left on her own.
That changed as the door opened.
Keira had been subbed off a few minutes before the incident had happened, Katie taking her place on the midfield. She, along with the entire bench, had a hard time believing what was happening in front of them.
A bad feeling settled in her as Y/N walked off the pitch all by herself, not a single soul following her. Therefore, the Barcelona player excused herself and trailed their captain.
''You mind?'' She already knew the answer, but asking didn’t hurt.
Y/N shook her head, motioning for Keira to take the spot next to her. ''You? Never.''
''How you feeling?''
''Like shit.''
''Yeah, I predicted that.''
The striker chuckled at the monotone voice, feeling some sort of delight after what felt like forever. ''I’m so confused.''
''You’re not the only one. I didn’t hear what you said, but it couldn’t have been that bad for you to get another yellow- and don’t even get me started on the first one, obviously not a foul.'' Keira rambled, yet sounding sophisticated.
''I just- I feel like I let everyone down. I know we’re leading the game, but still- I should be out there playing. I’m the captain for fuck sake.'' Y/N swung her arm towards the door, before letting it fall on her knee with a hard slap.
Keira sighed at her words. ''You’re always so hard on yourself. No one is angry at you or disappointed.''
''I’m not hard on myself, Kei. I just have an important role in this team, so I can’t afford to make mistakes.'' The captain clarified, although it didn’t do much to dispute the midfielder’s words.
''Yeah, that sounds like someone who is not a perfectionist.'' The sarcastic tone didn’t escape Y/N, and she bumped their shoulders. ''No, but, come one. You know what I mean- not only do I have to keep the entire team together, I also have to score goals or make sure that someone else scores them.''
It was the first time she had truly expressed the pressure that was being put on her, she was known in the team for keeping it all to herself. Keira attentively listened, feeling almost honored it was her that the captain was venting to.
''I like the pressure, though. I know I can handle it, I’ve been doing that for years, I know I was only made captain cause Steph got injured, but it’s still a huge deal to me, you know? I know I don’t always say it, but it really does.''
''We know it does. You might not say it, but it shows. You’re the best captain I’ve ever got to work with, you have a way of getting everyone together.'' Keira interjected, complimenting her leadership skills.
Y/N raised her eyebrows at the praise. ''Best captain, huh? So better than Alexia?'' She mentioned the captain at Barcelona.
Keira lightly slapped her arm. ''Yeah, you like that, huh? Don’t tell her that, though.''
''You know I’ll tell her as soon as I get the chance.'' Of course the England captain wouldn’t mention it, but making her friend think that didn’t hurt.
''If that makes you smile, then I’ll take it.''
''You’re flattering me, Kei.'' Y/N muttered, not quite believing the praise that was coming out of her mouth.
The midfielder scoffed. ''Hey! I’m being genuine!'' She exclaimed, almost offended. ''Don’t let this one game affect your confidence. I know you like everything perfect, but these kinds of things are out of our hands,'' she referred to the referee’s decisions, ''you’re still the boss, you know? Or what did they say after the Euro’s… you’re an icon.''
The captain gave Keira a little shake at the mention of the compliment she had been given by a reporter after the final at Wembley, embarrassed by being called iconic. ''Oh, shut it, you!''
''It’s true, though! It stings right now, but you’ll get over it. By the time the next game comes around, no one will be talking about it anymore.'' Keira’s words did give her some comfort, knowing it was the truth.
''Yeah, I know… It was kinda cute, though- the way everyone was defending me.'' A small smile found its way to the player's face.
''You always do it for us, so it was time we all do it for you.'' She simply said, as if it was not a big deal.
Y/N did not answer, unsure of what an appropriate follow-up could be.
''Did you see Tooney’s face? I know she was being serious, but it was too good.'' Keira chuckled, reminding the captain of the way Ella immediately started yelling with a scowl.
The striker laughed a bit louder this time, starting to see the humour in the situation. ''Yeah, what a lovely girl.''
''She was ready to start a revolution for you. Probably still is.'' Keira grinned, enjoying the shift in Y/N's mood.
''And then you had LJ who didn't even know what was happening, she came up to me and Lucy- totally confused.'' Y/N explained.
The midfielder bursted into laughter at Y/N's revelation. ''Wait, LJ didn't get the memo?''
''No, she just casually walked up to us and was like 'why is everyone running towards the ref?' I guess she thought it was a new halftime tradition or something. Lucy filled her in and her eyes almost bulged out of her head.'' The captain chuckled at the memory.
''Classic LJ.'' Keira remarked.
As they chatted, the sound of the crowd outside the changing room echoed, reminding Y/N of the ongoing game.
''I should apologize to the team later.'' Y/N considered, realizing she hadn't addressed her teammates properly after the incident.
''No, they know you're not the problem here. Besides, we all know you're not a fan of early showers.'' Keira teased.
She chuckled at her friend's joke, but couldn't shake off the feeling of dejection. Keira noticed her demeanor was shifting again.
''Don't worry about it, they know you didn't do anything wrong,'' Keira reassured her. ''Besides, half of them are probably still arguing with the referee about the whole situation.''
Y/N snorted at the mental image. ''True, they're a protective bunch.''
''Well, we've got a great, certain center forward to look up to,'' the Barcelona player winked, ''you're still our captain, Y/N. Red card or not.'' Keira added, a genuine smile on her face.
''Thanks, Kei,'' Y/N said, appreciating the support. She leaned back against the locker, trying to let go of the frustration that still lingered.
''You know, you should focus on the positives,'' Keira suggested, her tone thoughtful. ''We're winning 3-0, and I'm sure the girls have got an extra motivation now.''
''I guess you're right,'' Y/N sighed, ''I just wanna fucking play.''
''I know, but you can still analyze, see things you wouldn't notice on the pitch.''
''Always the optimist,'' the captain teased, a small smile breaking through. ''I'll try to channel my inner tactical genius from the sidelines.''
As they continued chatting, a sudden knock echoed through the changing room, drawing both Y/N and Keira's attention. The door swung open, and in walked another teammate, a familiar face with a sheepish expression.
''Are you fucking kidding me, Hempo?'' The striker exclaimed, though there was an amused grin present.
Lauren shrugged her shoulders, sitting down in her cubby. ''I figured I'd join the exclusive red card club with the captain.''
''Seems like it's the trend today.'' Keira added, joining in on the laughter.
''Y/N always tells me to just follow her lead, so…''
''Hempo, this isn't what I meant by that.''
The trio shared more laughs as they bantered through their early exits of the game. The tension of the match outside seemed to disappear as they focused on their camaraderie.

I Should Hate You
Tumblr media
Katie McCabe x Reader
Summary: Katie is tasked with marking you.
Word Count: 1.1k words
You knew that playing Arsenal at the Emirates would be a struggle. The roaring celebratory crowds anytime an Arsenal player started a run. The equally enthusiastic boos every time you and your teammates so much as touched the ball. Nothing out of the ordinary. What you weren’t expecting, though, was your current position.
“Sorry, darlin’,” says Arsenal’s Irish superstar as she untangles her body from yours. She stands and reaches both of her hands out for you, a small smile on her face. You might’ve appreciated the gesture if she hadn’t been on the offensive end of all the fouls you’ve encountered during the last 60 minutes. But she has been, so you don’t. Instead, you brush her off and pull yourself up before returning to your original position.
“That’s, like, the 10th time she’s fouled me. I swear she has a personal vendetta against me or something,” you gesture around aimlessly as you take your place next to your best friend.
“What has she done now?” Lauren James asks with a quiet laugh as she kneels down to retie her boots.
“Aside from embarrassing me repeatedly for the past hour, she just tripped me. On purpose, probably.” You reach a hand down and help LJ up once she finishes tying her laces.
LJ lets out a laugh at your reply. “Right, well, that’s called ‘marking.’ Perhaps you’ve heard of it?” LJ squeezes your shoulder with a smirk before the referee blows her whistle, signaling for play to start back up. You share a laugh before attempting to clear your mind and get back into the game. Your attempt starts fruitfully, and you forget all thoughts of your complications with the Irish woman.
You begin running up the wing as your teammates initiate an attack. “Heads up!” Erin yells as she sends the ball soaring toward you from the 18-yard box. Before you can even think about your next move, a sharp pain shoots through your ankle and shoulder, and you find yourself on the ground once again. Your teammates shout, and the crowd erupts in deafening boos as the referee shows your assailant a yellow and then points to the spot.
“Oh, bullshit! I hardly touched her!” exclaims a voice you’ve grown all too accustomed to hearing today.
“Want to explain why I’m on the ground then?” Nathalie helps you up as you glare at Katie. “I’m okay,” you assure Nathalie quickly, brushing off her questioning of your fitness and turning back toward the Ireland captain.
“I don’t know, but I think VAR’s about to find out,” Katie states with a smirk (that you wish you could smack off her face) as she raises her eyebrows and gestures behind you before crossing her arms. You turn to see the referee walking to the penalty check screen. An intense suspense fills the stadium as everyone awaits the referee’s final decision.
“Has to go our way. She completely clipped you. Studs up and everything,” speaks your captain, Millie Bright. She joins the swarm of fellow Chelsea players that has now formed around you, the Arsenal players having disbursed.
After a thorough review of the penalty decision, the referee swiftly returns to the pitch. With a firm expression, she announces her reversal of the call, awarding the decision in favor of Arsenal.
“Come on! That is shit!” Guro shouts as the referee cancels the previously awarded penalty. The thunderous cheers of the Arsenal fans drown out her shouts. The dramatics of the Norwegian winger do nothing to ease your spirits like they usually would. The game ends shortly after, ending in a 3-1 Arsenal win.
You deflate, refraining from diplomatically shaking hands with the Arsenal players after the game. You’re standing off to the side watching a bantering Sam Kerr and Caitlin Foord when you sense a presence walking up behind you, followed by the feeling of two hands on your waist. “Think ya better fire your diving instructor,” the voice whispers in your ear before the accompanying hands pull you toward their chest.
You pull away from the person completely and turn around to face the Irish woman who has recently been the absolute vain of your existence. “I know that you know that call was fucked,” you say sternly.
Katie mock gasps, raises her eyebrows, and drops her jaw. “You want us to what?” she jokes and feigns disbelief.
“Stop,” you reply with a roll of your eyes. She steps closer to you at this reply.
She laughs, “Ah, that’s not a word I hear too often. The eye roll is a different story.” You’re unsure if the innuendos were intentional. The way she’s not even trying to hide biting her lip answers this question for you, though. She smirks again at your lack of response, and you only kind of want to smack it off her face this time. You feel your face heat up as she keeps her eyes trained on yours. You nervously look away and busy yourself watching Niamh’s post-match interview, hoping that Katie will just walk away.
You keep your eyes on Niamh as you feel Katie step close to you again, despite something urging you to turn your head toward the other girl. Katie keeps her hands to herself as she leans close to whisper in your ear this time; her lips brush against your ear as she murmurs, “The more you try to ignore me, the more I want to be right here.” Your breath catches as her words linger in your ear.
Katie pulls away after a tension-filled minute, her expression combining smug delight and amusement. She clearly enjoys the reaction she just pulled out of you. She steals a quick glance at your lips before looking back up at your eyes and holding out one of her hands. Your mind is still whirling from the earlier feeling of having her body so close to yours. You just stare at her outstretched hand.
“See something you like?” she asks as she wiggles her fingers and turns her hand around and back. Your eyes jump back up to hers. “Yeah. Your yellow card earlier,” you choke out.
“Katie!” someone yells from behind you before Katie can reply. Probably one of her teammates. You can’t be bothered to check. Katie nods at the person before turning back to you. Her hand still outstretched, she reaches for one of yours and shakes it with no help from you.
“Until next time, love, yeah?” With an ever-present smirk, she finally removes her hand from yours and starts to walk away. “Unless ya don’t feel like waiting that long. Up to you,” she winks and joins her teammate (whose identity you’re still unsure of).
You’re pretty sure she just put the ball in your court.
a/n: first fic 👀 hopefully it's not terrible. I have mixed feelings about my first post being for an arsenal player but!!! advice is appreciated. thank you alright bye

Fire & Desire - Matt Sturniolo Part 11
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Part 1 Part 2 Part 3 Part 4 Part 5 Part 6 Part 7 Part 8 Part 9 Part 10 Part 11 Part 12 Part 13
Pairing: Y/n x Matt Sturniolo
Summary: Y/n has always clashed with Matt. Despite working for Chris’s clothing brand and being close with Nick, her relationship with Matt has always been tense at best. While being forced to be around each other more, their animosity turns into something deeper. Can they overcome their differences, or will their fiery emotions tear them apart?
Warnings: angst, tension, arguements, mentions of alcohol, being intoxicated
Matt’s gaze locks onto the envelope in my hand, his jaw tightening. “Oh, this again” he mutters, dropping his phone onto the bed. He leans back against the headboard, crossing his arms over his chest like he’s gearing up for a fight.
“I didn’t realize this was your jumper” I say quickly, gesturing to the yellow Ralph Lauren sweater I’m wearing. “Nick gave it to me yesterday. I didn’t know-”
“Convenient” he says, his lips curving into a bitter smirk. “Nick’s just handing out my stuff now, huh? Real generous of him. Not that it matters. Keep it.”
“Are you done?” I snap, holding up the envelope in my hand. “Because this is what I’m here to talk about.”
Matt’s smirk fades. He shifted himself up, his arms still crossed. “What about it? You’re upset I didn’t send it with chocolates or something?”
I glare at him. “You sent me flowers. Then threw them in the trash. And this-” I wave the card slightly. “This apology? I don’t get it, Matt. Why would you even do that? What’s the point if you’re not going to own it?”
He looks away, jaw tight, as though he’s trying to figure out how to answer. After a long pause, he finally speaks. “I don’t know. Maybe I shouldn’t have bothered.”
“Maybe you shouldn’t have” I say sharply, before I can stop myself. “Because now I’m here, and you clearly don’t want to explain yourself.”
“You’re right” he says, his voice colder now. “I shouldn’t have sent them. It was a mistake. I should’ve just let Nate get you flowers instead. That’s his job anyway.”
I freeze, staring at him. “What?”
“You heard me” he says, his tone bitter now. “If anyone should be sending you flowers, it’s Nate. Not me. But let me save you some trouble, he runs through girls like it’s a sport. You’re just a number to him, Y/n. That’s all you’d ever be.”
The words made no sense to me, knowing that there was nothing going on between me and Nate. But I know he’s trying to get under my skin, and that just makes me angrier.
“You don’t know what you’re talking about first of all” I say, my voice shaking slightly. “And even if that was true, why do you care? You’re acting like this is about Nate, but it’s not, is it?”
Matt doesn’t respond immediately. He just looks at me, his eyes flickering with something I can’t quite place, frustration, maybe. Or something deeper.
“I don’t care” he says finally, but the way he says it is unconvincing, like he’s trying to convince himself more than me.
“Right” I mutter, taking a step back. “Well, if you don’t care, then stop acting like this. Stop sending flowers and writing cards and then throwing them away. And stop dragging Nate into it like this is about him, because it’s not.”
The room remained silent as I let out a frustrated sigh, “I don’t know what’s going on with you, Matt, or what I ever did to make you hate me so much, but I don’t want it to ruin Hawaii. Nick and Chris did something really thoughtful by inviting me, and I don’t want it to be awkward between us while we’re there.”
He exhales sharply, looking away. “Yeah, well, maybe you should’ve thought about that before busting in here and accusing me of playing games.”
I clench my jaw, trying to keep calm. “I didn’t accuse you of anything. I’m asking you to stop.. whatever this is. If you don’t care, fine. But don’t drag Nate into it, and don’t make me feel like some kind of idiot for trying to understand.”
His gaze softens slightly, and for a moment, I think he might actually say something that makes sense. But instead, he shrugs, his expression hardening again. “Fine. I’ll back off. Happy?”
I study him for a moment, trying to figure out what’s really going on behind that mask he always wears. But I don’t have the energy to keep pushing, so I just shake my head and turn to leave. I step out of his room, closing the door behind me, shutting it with more force than I intended.
I head straight to my room, practically flying up the stairs. My chest feels tight, my thoughts racing in every direction. That conversation with Matt was supposed to give me clarity, but instead, it’s only made everything worse. Why does he have to be so infuriating? Why does he have to say things that don’t make sense, like some cryptic puzzle he’s tempting me to solve?
I throw myself on top of my bed, burying my face in my pillow as all of my feelings boil to the surface, and before I know it, tears start falling. I don’t even try to stop them. I let them flow, hoping they’ll wash away some of the tension clawing at my chest. The tears aren’t just for Matt and his mixed signals, they’re for everything. For how lost I feel, for the way nothing goes right or feels straightforward anymore.
My mind replays the conversation over and over, dissecting every word, every glance, every pause. Why did he say it should’ve been Nate who gave me the flowers? Why did he warn me about Nate like that? And why did he throw the flowers away in the first place? None of it makes sense, and it’s driving me insane. I wipe at my cheeks, but the tears keep coming, hot and relentless.
Part of me wishes I could just forget the whole thing, shove it into a mental box, lock it away, and never think about it again. But another part of me knows I won’t. Not when Matt has this way of getting under my skin, and especially when we're going to spend every waking minute with each other for the next few weeks. Hawaii was supposed to be a break, an escape. But now, I can’t help but feel like it’s going to be anything but relaxing if things with Matt keep going like this.
The next morning, I wake up feeling groggy and emotionally drained. My eyes are puffy from crying, and the frustration of yesterday’s conversation still lingers throughout my body. I take a deep breath and remind myself to focus on the day ahead, before starting to get ready. There’s no time to dwell on Matt or his cryptic actions.
Nick is already up and at it when I make my way downstairs. He’s sitting at the kitchen table, typing furiously on his laptop, a cup of coffee in one hand. He looks up when he hears me enter, flashing his usual enthusiastic grin.
“There she issss!” he says, closing the laptop dramatically. “You ready for a day of last minute prep?”
I give him a half smile and nod. “Yeah what do you need to do?”
Nick looks at me for a moment, his eyes narrowing like he’s trying to figure out if something’s wrong. But to my relief, he doesn’t press.
“Okay, so first things first, we’re getting your nails done. Non negotiable. If we’re going to Hawaii, you need to have vacation ready nails.”
“Nick, my nails are fine” I protest, holding up my hands.
He raises an eyebrow. “No offense, but ‘fine’ isn’t good enough. You’re coming with me, and we’re going all out.”
I rolled my eyes but let him drag me out the door. Honestly, a little pampering doesn’t sound so bad right now.
The day flew by as we rushed through last minute preparations. Nick and I spent the morning at the nail salon, where I settled with a classic french tip. Afterward, we hit a few shops to grab more shorts for Nick. Back at home, I double checked my suitcase, making sure I had everything I’d need for the trip, though my mind wandered more than I’d like to admit.
By the evening, I felt physically tired but mentally restless. I tried to focus on the excitement of Hawaii and the break I desperately needed, but thoughts of yesterday’s conversation with Matt kept creeping in. I forced myself to push it to the side and take myself to bed. We had an early flight the next day, so I set my alarm before climbing in. As I lay there, staring at the ceiling, I made a silent promise to myself. This trip would be about relaxing, having fun, and leaving all the confusion and tension back at home, even if it wasn’t exactly easy to do.
My alarm went off at 5 am, dragging me out of a light, restless sleep. I groaned, hitting snooze once before forcing myself to get up. I could hear quiet movement around the house already, doors creaking, the sound of someone wheeling suitcases, and the bang of cups in the kitchen. I quickly got dressed, grabbed my suitcase, and made my way to the living area.
Nick was already there, suitcase next to him. “Ready for paradise?” he asked with a sleepy grin.
I nodded. "As ready as I’ll ever be."
Chris and Nate came up a moment later, both looking slightly disheveled but ready to help. Chris grabbed Nick’s suitcase while Nate reached for mine. I thanked him quietly, and he just nodded.
The silence was heavy, but oddly enough, it was comforting. The silence just wasn’t between Matt and I now, it seemed like everyone was too tired to make conversation this early, which made it less obvious that Matt and I hadn’t said a word to each other.
I glanced over and saw Matt standing near the door, his phone in his hand as he scrolled through it. He looked up briefly when Nate passed by him with my suitcase, but he didn’t say anything before following them down. The three of them loaded everything into the car while Nick and I lingered inside, waiting for the signal to head out.
Matt took responsibility of driving all of us to the airport. The drive was quiet, not that there would be much conversation out of five people in the early hours of the morning. We arrived at LAX just as the sky began to lighten. After paying for long stay parking, we unloaded the suitcases from the trunk. Everyone grabbed their bags, and we walked toward the departures section, the chill of the early morning air still lingering.
The airport was busy, but not chaotic, the flow of people moving fast. We made our way to the American Airlines desk, where a sign displayed our flight to Kahului. “There it is” Nick said, pointing ahead as he led the way.
We joined the line to check in and offload our bags. Nate and Chris joked quietly ahead of us, their energy picking up as we got closer to the counter. I couldn’t help but take a glimpse at Matt, who was standing slightly apart, looking at his phone. The awkwardness between us lingered, but thankfully, the chaos of the airport didn’t make it obvious.
When it was finally our turn, we handed over our passports and tickets. The airline agent smiled and tagged our bags before sending them down the conveyor belt. “Enjoy your trip!” she said cheerfully, handing us back our boarding passes and passports.
“Thanks!” Nick replied, grinning. “We plan to.”
With our bags checked in and our hands free, we regrouped in a free area away from the check in desks. The trip was officially underway, and for the first time since waking up, I felt a small buzz of excitement. Hawaii was actually happening.
After getting through the long security line, we gathered our belongings and headed toward the food court. It was close to 6.30am now, and my stomach was screaming at me. I needed food and I needed it quick. We ended up at a cafe, where everyone ordered breakfast before finding a table to sit at while we ate.
Nick sipped his iced coffee, clearly wide awake now, and leaned back in his chair. “Alright” he said, “So what seats is everyone in on the plane? I wanna know who I have to sit next to for six hours.”
Chris pulled out his boarding pass first, looking over it. “I’m in 27A” he said.
“I’m 27B” Nate chimed in, smirking.
“27C” Nick added with a grin. “Perfect, we’re all together.”
I took a sip of my coffee, nearly choking on it as I glanced down at my boarding pass. “I’m in 22E. I’m not even in the same row as yous.”
Matt pulled out his pass, frowning slightly before reading it aloud. “22D.”
I froze for a second, my stomach flipping. Of course. Of course, out of everyone, I’d end up sitting next to Matt.
Nate burst out laughing. “Oh man, you two are gonna have such a fun time crammed next to each other for the whole flight.”
I glared at him, but he just smirked and took an obnoxiously loud sip of his drink.
“It’s fine” I said, more to convince myself than anyone else. “It’s just a flight. We’ll survive.”
Matt shrugged, slipping his boarding pass back into his passport. “Whatever. As long as you don’t steal the armrest.”
The tension was obvious, but no one said anything else about it. We finished eating, the mood shifting back to excitement about the trip. But I couldn’t shake the swirling feeling in my stomach. Six hours next to Matt sounded like the longest flight of my life.
It was nearly time to board so we made our way toward the terminal, following the signs for our gate. Our flight was due to take off at 9am, so we had time to get there. When they called our group to board, we lined up, handed over our boarding passes, and shuffled down the bridge toward the plane. I could feel my nerves creeping in as we got closer to our seats. I was a nervous flier anyway, but now the seating situation made the nerves feel worse. Matt walked ahead of me, casually scanning the seat numbers as if he wasn’t dreading this as much as I was.
Finally, we reached our row, 22D and 22E. Matt slid into the aisle seat without a word, and I plopped down next to him, setting my bag under the seat in front of me. I hated the middle seat.
I took a deep breath, glancing around as people continued boarding. The guys were a few rows behind us, already joking loudly about something. God how I wish I was one of them.
I leaned back into the seat, already planning to just sleep this entire flight. If Matt and I weren’t going to talk, and let’s be honest, we weren’t, then maybe I’d at least get some rest. The flight attendants made their announcements, and soon we were in the air.
Once the seatbelt sign turned off, curiosity got the better of me and I leaned forward to sift through the entertainment options on the little screen in front of me. Scrolling through the endless movie titles, I couldn’t find anything that caught my attention.
Beside me, Matt sighed, his screen already on.
I glanced over just in time to see him click on 10 Things I Hate About You. For a second, I was surprised, out of all the movies, this was the one he picked?
“You like that movie?” I asked before I could stop myself.
He turned his head slightly, raising an eyebrow. “Who doesn’t? It’s a classic.”
I smiled, unable to help it. “Fair point.”
He settled back into his seat, his arms crossing loosely over his chest as the opening credits started rolling. I found myself sneaking glances at the screen, my own selection forgotten.
“You’re just gonna watch mine, aren’t you?” he teased, catching me mid glance.
“Maybe..” I shot back, smirking. “It’s a good movie.”
For the first time, Matt giggled, a real, genuine laugh at something I said. “Fine, but don’t hog my screen.”
We ended up sharing the movie in a way I hadn’t expected, making quiet comments about our favorite scenes and quoting the lines we both knew by heart. I felt weird.. it felt... easy, like the tension between us didn’t exist.
When the scene with the marching band playing on the bleachers came up, I felt my lips moving before I even realized it.
"You're just too good to be true, can't take my eyes off of youuuu"
To my surprise, Matt’s voice joined mine, quietly singing the line in unison. We both stopped, catching each other mid verse, and immediately burst into laughter.
"Seriously?" I said, grinning.
“What?” Matt replied, smirking. “You’re the one who started it.”
“Yeah, but I didn’t expect you to sing along” I shot back, shaking my head.
As the movie went on, it only got worse.. or better, depending on how you looked at it. It felt strange, but in a good way, like we were finally on the same wavelength, even if it was just over a movie. By the time the poem scene rolled around, Matt tilted his head toward me.
“Bet you’re one of those people who cries during this part” he teased.
I raised an eyebrow. “Bet you are too.”
He didn’t deny it, just smirked and went back to watching.
By the end of the movie, we were both smiling, the tension replaced by a shared sense of ease. It was probably the first time we’d genuinely laughed together without any sarcasm or snark.
Soon after, the flight attendants started coming down the aisle with the food cart, Matt stirred slightly, rubbing his eyes and sitting up straighter.
"You getting something?" I asked, glancing over at him.
"Yeah" he muttered, squinting as if even the dim cabin lights were too bright. "But I swear, I can't even keep my eyes open right now."
"Then why are you bothering?" I teased, but when he shot me a half hearted glare, I rolled my eyes. "Fine. Just give it here when it comes. I'll keep it on my tray until you're ready for it."
His expression softened into something that almost resembled gratitude. "Thanks" he mumbled.
When the food finally arrived, he lazily reached for his tray table but paused, blinking sluggishly.
"Don't bother" I said, pulling his tray of food over to mine. "I got it."
"Yeah, yeah, you're a saint" he grumbled, but there was the faintest smirk tugging at his lips before he leaned back in his seat.
Matt tilted his head against the small headrest attached to his seat and shut his eyes, clearly giving in to his exhaustion. I felt more awake than anything now so I decided to sift through the in flight entertainment menu again, settling on another rom com to pass the time.
Not long after, I felt a shift in the weight beside me. Out of the corner of my eye, I noticed Matt's head drop forward before it slowly tilted to the side, right onto my shoulder.
I froze for a second, unsure of what to do. His face was relaxed, his breathing slow, completely unaware of the situation.
I thought about waking him, but.. he looked peaceful. And, honestly, I didn’t mind.
With a small sigh, I adjusted slightly to make it more comfortable for both of us and went back to watching my movie.
By the time I finished my second movie, his head was still resting on my shoulder, and I couldn’t help but smile a little. For someone who could be so infuriating, moments like these reminded me that maybe there was more to Matt than he let on.
The captain's voice crackled through the intercom, announcing our descent into Kahului, Matt woke beside me. He blinked slowly, rubbing his face with one hand, and then turned to look at me.
His gaze dropped to where my shoulder was, and his brows furrowed slightly. “Wait.. was I.. was I asleep on you the whole time?”
I tried to keep my expression neutral, but the corner of my mouth twitched in amusement. “Yep. Dead to the world. Snoring and everything.”
His eyes widened slightly, and I could see a faint hint of color rise to his cheeks. “I don’t snore.”
I raised an eyebrow. “Sure, whatever helps you sleep at night. Literally.”
He let out a soft groan, running a hand through his hair as he leaned back in his seat. “Well.. uh, thanks for not shoving me off, I guess.”
I shrugged casually. “Figured you needed the sleep. Plus, you didn’t drool all over me, so I let it slide.”
That comment earned me a small laugh, though he still looked a bit awkward. He glanced out the window on our side, clearly trying to play it cool, but the way he kept fidgeting with his seatbelt betrayed him.
Not too long after, we landed and began to disembark the plane, into the warm Maui air, the energy buzzing between all of us even though we were still shaking off the stiffness from the flight. After collecting our bags, we stood near the exit where our transfer driver was holding a sign with Nick’s name on it.
The drive to the villa was surreal, with palm trees lining the roads and the scent of salt water from ocean wafting through the open windows. Nate and Chris were hyper, pointing out every little thing as if they’d never been here before. Nick was quieter, scrolling through his phone, and Matt sat silently in the back, his sunglasses shielding his expression.
It was 2pm Hawaii time when we finally arrived at the villa, and the place looked like it was something out of a movie, white walls, large windows, and a gorgeous pool overlooking the ocean. Five bedrooms, one for each of us.
“All right” Nick declared, dropping his suitcase in the entryway. “First come, first serve. Claim your rooms!”
Chris bolted upstairs with Nate right behind him, their voices echoing through the house as they bickered over who got the room with the best view. Nick wandered off down the hall, humming to himself as he inspected the options. That left me and Matt still standing near the doorway.
“You’re not gonna fight for the best room?” he asked, glancing at me with a smirk.
I shrugged, rolling my suitcase forward. “Nah, I’ll just take whatever’s left. As long as there’s a bed, I’m good.”
“Suit yourself” he said, grabbing his own bag and heading upstairs.
Once everyone had claimed their spots, I found myself left with a room on the far end of the villa, tucked away from everyone else. It was smaller than the others, but it had an ensuite and a private balcony with a view of the ocean, so I wasn’t complaining. Honestly, the distance from the chaos of being with boys was kind of a bonus. I knew I’d want some peace and quiet at some point. I let the reality of being here sink in. It felt like a fresh start, and the dynamics between everyone were already proving to be.. interesting.
By the time I had unpacked, showered, and finally settled into my room, the exhaustion from the early morning and long flight floored me. I decided to lie down for just a moment, but the comfort of the bed dragged me into a deep nap.
When I woke up, the time on my phone read 5pm, and the sounds of loud, off key singing drifted through the villa. Disorientated but curious, I got up and made my way downstairs into the main foyer.
The sight that greeted me was something straight out of a comedy. Chris, Nate, and Matt were standing in a loose huddle, arms slung over each other’s shoulders, belting out some song at the top of their lungs. Their words were slurred, their movements uncoordinated, and the sight in front of me was nothing short of chaotic.
Nick stood off to the side, arms crossed and wearing an expression of sheer disbelief. His eyes flicked to me as I entered, and I raised an eyebrow at him.
“What the hell happened while I was asleep?” I asked, pointing toward the impromptu concert happening in the middle of the villa.
Nick sighed, rubbing a hand over his face like he couldn’t believe it either. “Well, they decided to go for a walk to ‘explore the area’” he said, air quoting the last part. “Somehow, that walk turned into them stumbling into a few bars. Fast forward a couple of hours, and this is what we’ve got. They’re completely pissed.”
I glanced back at the trio, who were now attempting to harmonize but failing miserably. Chris had climbed onto one of the couches, using a long decorative pillow as a makeshift microphone, while Matt leaned against the back of a chair, swaying slightly. Nate, the ringleader of this circus, was conducting them like an offbeat orchestra.
“And dinner’s in, what, two hours?” I asked Nick, already knowing the answer.
“Yep” he said flatly. “No way they’re sobering up in time.”
I groaned, pinching the bridge of my nose. “Great. So now what? Do we just let them embarrass us in public, or do we try to get them somewhat presentable?”
Nick shrugged. “Honestly, at this point, I’m tempted to just let them crash and burn. They brought this on themselves.”
I glanced back at the drunken trio, my frustration tainted with the faintest hint of amusement. As ridiculous as they were, it was hard not to laugh at the scene. Still, this wasn’t exactly the way I envisioned the first night of the trip going.
“More importantly, what are you planning on wearing tonight?” he asked, trying to ignore the drunken escapade happening in front of us.
“I was thinking my green crochet two piece, you know the  halter top and shorts” I said.
Nick nodded approvingly. “That's a nice first night outfit. I still need to figure mine out, so I’m going to do that now.”
Just as we were about to separate and retreat to our rooms, Matt, swaying but still coordinated enough to grab my arm, pulled me toward the three of them.
“Where do you think you’re going?” he slurred, a mischievous grin spreading across his face. “You’re part of this now.”
Before I could protest, he dragged me into their little circle. Nate and Chris immediately followed his lead, throwing their arms around both of us to complete the huddle.
“Y/N! Y/N! Y/N!” they all started chanting in unison, their voices loud and slurred but surprisingly synchronized.
I couldn’t help it, the absurdity of it all made me laugh, the kind of genuine laugh that comes out before you can even think about holding it back. They all looked so ridiculous, swaying and cheering like they were at some sporting event instead of just drunk in the middle of a villa.
“Okay, okay!” I said between laughs, holding up my hands in mock surrender. “You win! But if you’re not at least halfway sober by the time we leave for dinner, don’t expect me to sit anywhere near you!”
They all laughed too, Nate patting my shoulder like I’d just joined some exclusive club.
I stepped back from the chaotic huddle, still smiling as I shook my head. “Alright, that’s enough bonding for now. I’m going to head up and start getting ready” I said, brushing a strand of hair out of my face.
As I turned to leave, Matt called after me. “Wait!” He stumbled forward a step, catching his balance against the wall before straightening up. “I’ll bring you a drink to your room. You can’t start getting ready without a little buzz. It’s, like.. a vacation rule or something.”
I gave him a skeptical look, though I couldn’t help the smirk creeping onto my lips. “Matt, I don’t need you enabling my alcohol consumption. I can manage that all on my own, thanks.”
He smirked back, raising a finger in the air as if he’d just come up with a brilliant idea. “Nope. You’re part of the group now. And the group drinks together. I’ll bring you something good.. you won’t even taste the alcohol.”
“Somehow, that makes me even more nervous” I shot back, but I didn’t fight him on it. “But fine. Just don’t spill it on the way up, alright?”
Matt chuckled, placing a hand on his chest in mock seriousness. “I would never dishonor a drink like that.”
Shaking my head, I turned and made my way up the stairs, already mentally planning out how I’d do my makeup. If Matt was serious about bringing me a drink, maybe a little buzz wouldn’t be the worst thing while I got ready. After all, if I was going to spend the evening immersed in this group of chaos, I might as well have a head start.
a/n: things are.. changing...???

Summary: Reader is a photographer for Arsenal and a player from the opposing team accidentally runs into her.
Wordcount: 1.4K
When you got the job photographing the arsenal team you were ecstatic it was the chance of a lifetime. The more time you spend around the team, the more people notice you, which leads to your mates discovering you right under their noses. Now Life is complete you spend your days at work doing what you are passionate about and your days off with your mates relaxing. But back to today Arsenal is playing Chelsea and tensions are at an all-time high. Your normally peaceful morning routine was disrupted by your mates fluttering around in a panic then your also normally peaceful drive was full of team planning. By the time you got to the arena, you were so ready to be done with this game. You split off from your mates and make your way to your station hopefully it's a cut-and-dry game but knowing these girls it probably won’t be.
Around Halfway through the game, Katie gets a yellow card which isn’t surprising but it does lead to some good shots of her yelling at the ref. As you're looking down at your camera to peak at these pictures of Katie you don’t notice the whistle being blown or the ball coming towards you at an alarming rate. That is until a body crashes into you at full speed crushing both you and your camera. You let out a pained sound as the player pushes off you in a hurry in the process pushing her cleat straight into your stomach. “Get away from her.” Katie comes from god knows where shoving the player you now recognize as Lauren James to the ground. This is surprising considering Lauren is an extremely proud alpha who is kind of stuck up. “You fucking hurt her you bitch” Katie stomps over as Lauren tries to scrabble away. Before she can get her hands on Lauren again the ref pulls a red card and starts to half-drag her from the pitch.
“Come on love let's get you off the pitch” You startle as Beth helps you sit up her hands gently resting on your back.” “Do you think you can stand up?” She asks her hand rubbing soothing circles on your back. “Probably I don’t think she hit me that hard” You push yourself off the ground with minimal pain. “Leah will take you to medical and I'll be there as soon as I can. “Love you” She hands you off to Leah wraps an arm around you and helps you start to limp to the tunnel. Her purr starts up and between that and her scent you can stay pretty calm. “You better win this Love” You shout back as Beth runs back onto the pitch. “I will just for you darling,” Beth shouts over her shoulder. “Katie is going to have such a fit” Leah jokes as you hobble down the tunnel. “I think she’s already had her fit. Did you see the way she shoved Lauren?” She pushes the door the the medical room open as you both walk in. “No, but it must have been bad for her to get a red card. She’ll be out for the next two games at least so I hope it was worth it to her.” Leah Helps you hop up onto the exam table.  “You know it was she loves to fight” Leah moves away slightly causing a bolt of panic to shoot through your body at the thought of your alpha leaving you. “You going to stay right” You ask grabbing her hand. “Of course, I'll be here the whole time.” Leah comforts sitting in a chair close to the exam table.
It takes ten minutes for a doctor to arrive, and at that time the pain starts to catch up with you mostly in your back and stomach. He has a bad attitude as if it's your fault this all happened. He starts with a concussion exam asking you basic questions until he decides you aren’t concussed. “Where are you feeling the most intense pain.” “ on my stomach and my lower back” You lift your shirt just enough for the now purple bruise in the distinct mark of a cleat to start showing. “Ok that's going to bruise off pretty nicely but I don’t think you have a broken rib,” The Doctor says gently pressing over the bruise. “ I would recommend a hot bath, ibuprofen, and lots of rest.” He pulls his gloves off and exits the room without another word. Which is rather rude considering the situation. “He could have at least given us some pain meds fuckin arsehole” Leah growls before calming herself and helping you down from the table. ”Come on baby let's get you out to the car” Leah holds your hand as you both head out to the parking lot. This whole experience has only solidified your hatred of doctors.
The walk to the car feels as though it drags on forever but soon enough you can make out the shapes of Viv and Beth leaning against the car having a chat while an annoyed Katie is inside playing on her phone. “Beffy, Viv” You push off of Leah to hobble towards them.  “Love” You laugh as they wrap you in a gentle hug their scent is so comforting but it’s still not enough to help you calm down from the panic residing in your body. “How about we get home and have some dinner” Viv suggests looking right into your eyes as if waiting for some kind of reaction from them.” that sounds good what were you guys thinking” You ask as everyone begins to load into the car. “Thai?” Viv asks sliding into the driver's seat. “That sounds good to me” You slide into the spot between Katie and Beth. “Look at this” Katie says showing her phone to you. It's a video of her shoving this Lauren James with a voiceover about how crazy it is that Lauren would do that to someone. “I feel bad”
“Why should you feel bad she stepped on you after she bodyslammed ya” Katie has this agast look on your face that makes you want to roll your eyes but you restrain yourself. “I don’t think she meant to” You try to justify because there is no way she would try to hurt you like this on purpose. “I going to stop you there baby I've seen the bruise there is no way she wasn’t aware of the damage she was doing to you.” Leah pipes up from the front seat. “You can’t know that” You argue back raising your voice slightly. “I'm not going to fight with you about this how about we talk about something else?” Leah pops the radio on and turns it up slightly. “Okay, whatever did you guys hear Charli XCX’s song guess,” You ask pulling your phone out of your bag. “Ya, the one you sent me about a million videos on” Beth pipes up from where she was ordering Thai on her phone.”That one!!! Billie Eilish’s Verse was so good.” You fangirl a little.”Okay, I will admit it was pretty good but the videos of her in concert” Katie smirks “No because literally she is gorgeous” The rest of the car ride goes in a blur after that conversation becomes much easier once the fight is forgotten.
Once food has been acquired and you are back home the panic in your chest finally begins to recede. You have some Pain medication and grab a hot compress for your stomach before heading into the living room. you get comfortable between Beth and Viv on the couch. “Wanna Watch Mamma Mia” Leah asks joining ya’ll on the couch. “Are you guys going to hate me if I say yes” “No we would never hate you, especially over something so stupid” Viv comforted as you stretched out over their laps. You Leah open the film and you let out a sigh of relief as the film starts up. “ARE WE WATCHING MAMMA MIA AGAIN” Katie complains throwing a blanket over you guys on the couch. “Ya, you know you love it.”You pipe up gesturing for her to come and join you. “Where am I supposed to sit you’ll are taking up the whole couch.” Katie pouts.” just put the cushion on the floor and come sit with us” Beth gestures aggressively towards the cushions on the other couch. This isn’t all bad in fact life is pretty good.

❛ you’ve got a good thing going here. i’m really happy for you. ❜
❛ i know you’re not right in the head. i mean, that’s pretty damn clear. but i’m not scared of you. ❜
❛ you think i’d come here empty-handed? come on, we both know that if i ever truly left you hanging, there'd be a bullet between my eyes. ❜
❛ i got a real opportunity for you here, but it’s kinda hard to focus with a gun pointed at my face. ❜
❛ you got fight in you. you gotta let it out. ❜
❛ you’re fun at a card game, or over drinks, i’ll give you that. but people don’t keep you around because they think you’re smart. and they sure as shit don’t trust you. ❜
❛ i wouldn’t ask you to do this if i didn’t know you could handle it. i believe in you, kid. ❜
❛ i can't tell who wants this move. me or you. ❜
❛ i want this for you. ❜
❛ what you did to me. was it worth it? did you get everything that you wanted? ❜
❛ you wanna go, what are you waiting for? fuckin’ go. ❜
❛ you coulda left whenever you wanted. but you chose to stay. how about you ask yourself why. ❜
❛ i fucked you over. that what you wanna hear? ❜
❛ i’m fuckin’ sorry for everything that’s happened to you. ❜
❛ you meant something to me. still do. ❜
❛ i don’t know where to go from here. i don’t know how to trust you. ❜
❛ you need a cigarette, take the edge off? ❜
❛ a lobotomy couldn’t take the edge off. ❜
❛ when the time comes, i want you to take my place. i want you to run this family... if that’s something that would interest you. ❜
❛ they know you're mine. they'll do as i say. ❜
❛ why would you do this now? picking away at old wounds... you know how it upsets me. ❜
❛ you still haven’t told me what you want for your birthday. ❜
❛ i don’t need your advice. i don’t care what you think. no one does. you are my driver. that is all you are. so stop talking and drive. ❜
❛ listen, i get that you’re angry, you know. but i was just doing my job, looking out for you. ❜
❛ i’m not gonna make it in a place like that. i’m gonna die in there. ❜
❛ it’s okay to be scared. i was scared at first, too, but it’s not so bad here. you get used to the noises. ❜
❛ a woman beat the shit out of me while everyone stood around and watched. so, yeah, i had an incident. ❜
❛ i don’t know how to convince you i’m sane when you’ve already made up your mind about me. ❜
❛ i told you i’m fucking innocent. ❜
❛ i’m gonna get you something to eat. if you wanna get cleaned up, there’s a towel and a change of clothes in the guest bath upstairs. ❜
❛ i trusted him... when everything in my body told me not to. i should have killed him when i had the chance. ❜
❛ you abandoned me. ❜
❛ i left because i had to. because i could. i know you didn’t have that choice, but I’m here now. ❜
❛ you don’t have to pretend with me. ❜
❛ i haven’t forgotten, you know? the way you looked at me. so curious. ❜
❛ what did it feel like? to get to watch a person unravel? and now, you’re numbing yourself as punishment. ❜
❛ they think i'm broken. i'm not broken. ❜
❛ i'm not the one who's sick. and neither are you. the world is. ❜
❛ for the first time, i have hope. ❜
❛ to new beginnings. cent’anni. ❜

I WANNA BE YOURS | LIONESSES X READER | PT 9
Tumblr media
pairings: lionesses x reader
summary: in which you're accidentally added to a random group chat, not knowing they're all actually famous footballers, and obliviously end up having many of them competing for your love and attention.
part: nine
part one here
✦ ——— ✦ ——— ✦
You were seated on the couch with your best friend, Dani, in her apartment with bowls of snacks stacked in front of you guys. Dani was the one currently obsessed with the women football since England was hosting the Euros, and would be the one spamming you with edits.
She'd begged you to come tonight to watch the quarter finals with her with England versing Spain. And you'd finally given in, hoping to finally get cultured and then flex off to the group chat that you finally knew the names of more players other than just Lucy Bronze.
And so here you were, your eyes glued on the tv screen as the National Anthem had ended and the match was about to start. Your eyebrows had furrowed in confusion when the line-ups had been displayed for a few seconds before the kick-off whistle was blown. The last names of the Lionesses were somehow familiar, but before you could dwell on it more, it went away.
"Okay so," Dani began, pointing to the different players as the match began. "The blonde one with the number 8 on her back is Leah Williamson, my personal fav, and the captain of the team."
You nodded along.
Leah Williamson. Seems familiar.
"And then the one in goals is Mary Earps. There's Lucy Bronze with the number 2 on her back and Mille Bright next to Leah with number 6. Over there running is Keira Walsh and she has 4 on her back."
Your eyebrows furrowed again when you heard the name Earps and Bright, but decided to ignore it.
"Right there is Lauren Hemp with 11 next to Fran Kirby who's 14, and that one is Rachel Daly with number 3 on her back."
Nahhh, it couldn't be a coincidence, could it? Leah, Earps, Bright, Kie, Lauren, and now Daly?
"Oh, and that's Stanway with the ball. She just passed it to Meado!"
Hold on.
Your eyes widened. "Meado?"
"Yeah, Beth Mead. We call her Meado." Dani nodded, glancing at you and saw that you had a shocked look on your face. "You good?"
"Wait, so would Stanway's first name be Georgia by any chance?" You questioned.
"Yeah, you guessed it right!" Dani laughed. "It looks like my edits are helping."
You forced a smile on your face and nodded along, but internally you were screaming. You grabbed your phone and googled all the players on the football squad including the subs, noticing the resemblance to all the names on the group chat.
Leah Williamson. Georgia Stanway. Ella Toone. Alessia Russo. Beth Mead. Lotte Wubben-Moy. Niamh Charles. Lucy Bronze. Mary Earps. And it went on. Some had only spoken once but you had seen their name.
While Dani was focused on the game, you were lost in your own thoughts. It all seemed like a big joke right now.
The times they'd be in the gym and would be training together. The photos they would send on the chat where they were in what you now realised were their football kits, and the football games they would pass off as a bit of fun. And the fact that Lucy Bronze had commented your post.
It all made sense when you thought about it.
These past few months you'd been chatting with them, you'd thought you had gotten to "know" them better, but really you knew practically nothing because they'd continued to hide about who they were and would change the topic when you did try to bring it up, all while knowing basically everything about you.
And suddenly, you felt very stupid and very played, as well as kinda betrayed.

Clarisse La Rue x Fem!ApolloCabin!Reader
summary; an Ares cabin member breaks the rules and ties reader up and Clarisse saves them
warnings; swearing, violence, blood, fluff
an; I hope this was what you expected. We 🫶 protective Clarisse. Gender neutral pronouns are used btw! I stole the “angel” nickname from symp4nat cause i like it and i think it’s so cute and she probably would call reader that. Also if you’d like to listen to the song while reading there’s a link below :)
Rescue by Lauren Daigle
Tumblr media
Ever since the day you arrived to camp, Clarisse bullied you and you two never got along. Today is yet another game of capture the flag and you’re on the blue team and Clarisse is on the red team which is obviously the opposing team. You watched as Clarisse was talking to the rest of her team to strategize and tell them the plan and just hoped you’d get out of this alive, as you always did. “Let the games begin!” Chiron yelled and you immediately followed Annabeth and Percy into the woods.
After a while of walking, you’re the first to speak up. “You guys think we'll run into Clarisse?" You ask as you continue following behind Annabeth. "I hope not," Percy says immediately, looking around nervously. Annabeth nods saying, "Knowing her we might.” "Where are we even going Annabeth?" You ask, looking around. "Wherever fate takes us," Annabeth says simply. Percy stops walking for a moment, shocked by Annabeth's answer. He continues to follow you and Annabeth mumbling, "This girl's going to get us killed."
Annabeth rolled her eyes at Percy's comment. "I'm going to get us killed? At least I can fight," she muttered under her breath, not looking back at him. You continued to walk forward, your senses on high alert for any signs of danger. Suddenly 3 Ares kids surrounded the three of you. You got in a defensive position, sword in hand as you glared at the Ares kids, "Where's your princess?" You said, referring to Clarisse. Percy followed your lead, getting into a defensive position as well, looking at you confused, "Wait who?"
"Y/N's talking about Clarisse," Annabeth says as she points her sword at one of the Ares kids. Percy mumbles a soft, “Oh.” Leo smirks as he pointed his sword at you, "Clarisse isn't here so don't worry your pretty little head," He said in a slight mocking tone before looking at Ruby and Cole, his half siblings, "You two take care of Newbie and Nerdbrain." Ruby and Cole nod before Ruby lunges at Percy with her sword while Cole does the same to Annabeth. You pout at Leo, "Bummer, I was hoping l'd get to finally beat her ass. I guess I'll just beat yours instead," You said as you waited for Leo's move.
Leo chuckled as he watched Ruby and Cole engage with Percy and Annabeth, "Well aren't you feisty?" He said before lunging at you with his sword. You dodge the attack before swinging your sword at the Ares boy. Leo quickly dodged the swing of your sword before lunging at you again. He knew you were good, but he was confident in his fighting skills as well. "You fight well, but not well enough,” He grins as he continued to attack you. You narrowly missed another one of Leo's attacks, your heart racing from the adrenaline. You countered his next strike, your swords clashing loudly.
"You're not so bad yourself," you said, trying to keep up with his relentless assault, "I'm better though." Leo smirked, his eyes never leaving yours before he lunged again, aiming for your side this time. You quickly stepped back, avoiding the blow but losing your balance in the process. You yelp as you fell back, accidentally dropping your sword, "Fuck." Leo took advantage of your momentary loss of balance and kicked your sword away from your reach. He grinned wickedly, his sword pointed at your throat. "Now, who's the better fighter?" He challenged with a sneer. You roll your eyes, "Oh fuck off Leo."
"Y/N!" Percy yelled from the distance, sounding worried. Leo turned toward Percy's voice, "Ruby, Cole, keep those two away!" He ordered before turning back to you. He then grabbed some rope and started tying your hands together. "What the- Leo you know this against the rules," You hiss as you struggled against the boy's hold. Leo ignored your protests and quickly finished tying your hands together, pulling it a little too tight for comfort. He smirked at your struggles. You glared at the boy, struggling to get your hands out, "If you need to tie me up to handle me then you obviously suck ass as a warrior,” You spat.
Leo chuckled darkly, "Oh, I don't suck sweetheart, I just like playing dirty." He grabbed your bound wrists and pulled you closer, his sword still at your throat. Suddenly someone roughly pulled him away from you, pushing his shoulder, "Get the fuck away from them," Clarisse hissed. You looked at Clarisse in shock, you didn't expect the Ares girl to help you at all. "You alright angel?" Clarisse asked, glancing over you to make sure you were uninjured, frowning when she saw a gash on your arm. "U-Uh... yeah, I'm ok." You said softly, clearly confused by Clarisse's sudden protectiveness over you.
"Good," Clarisse replied then she turned back to Leo, glaring at him, "What the fuck do you think you're doing? You think you can just tie someone up like that?" She stepped closer to you, her body language subtly protective as well. Leo looked at her confused, "Why the hell are you protecting this Apollo kid Clarisse?" Clarisse scoffs like it’s obvious, "Because you fucking tied them up and it’s against the rules," She said harshly, her eyes hard as she glared at Leo. "Let's get you untied," Clarisse said, turning her attention back to you. She knelt down, carefully cutting the ropes with her spear, making sure not to hurt you further.
As she worked, she glanced at Leo, her expression cold and unyielding. Once your hands were untied, you rubbed your wrists as an attempt to sooth them. You looked up at Clarisse to see her holding out her hand to help you up and give her a confused look before taking the girl’s hand. “Thanks," You mumble. “No problem," Clarisse replied, still holding onto your hand until you were standing. She looked at Leo once more, sighing softly before letting go of your hand then sound of the conch shell rang out signaling the end of the game.
Percy ran over to you, "You ok?" You look at Clarisse with a raised eyebrow before looking at Percy and Annabeth, "Yeah I'm good." Annabeth walked over to you, "That's a pretty nasty cut on your arm." You look at your arm, "Oh shit... I didn't even realize." Clarisse grabbed your arm and took a quick look at it, a concerned expression on her face. "Let me take a look at it, it might need some medical attention," She said, glancing at the others as if to say that it wasn't too serious. Percy and Annabeth looked at each other, clearly confused as to why Clarisse was being nice to you.
You looked at Clarisse, a bit skeptical but you nod nonetheless, “Uh... sure." Clarisse stepped closer to examine the cut more closely. "It's not deep, but it's bleeding a lot. We should clean it properly and maybe wrap it up to prevent infection," She explained, her voice surprisingly gentle. Percy and Annabeth looked between you and Clarisse, trying to figure out what was happening. You nodded, butterflies erupting in your stomach as you heard how soft her voice was. "Alright, let's head back to camp," Clarisse suggested, gesturing for you to follow her.
She turned to Percy and Annabeth, "I can clean it up there and maybe get something to stop the bleeding," she added, her voice still calm and collected. Percy and Annabeth looked at each other confused once again then looked at you. You shrugged then followed Clarisse as she started walking, Percy and Annabeth right behind you. When the four of you got to camp, Percy and Annabeth parted ways with you and Clarisse saying they had to meet with Grover. Clarisse grabbed your wrist gently, making you blush and led you to the infirmary. "Sit," Clarisse said, guiding you to a stool near some medical supplies.
She retrieved a clean cloth and some disinfectant, carefully cleaning the wound on your arm. Despite the pain, you couldn't help but notice how gentle her touch was. You silently observed Clarisse, taking in her appearance. You noted how the girl's eyebrows furrowed when she was concentrated and how the girl's hair framed her face perfectly. As Clarisse finished cleaning the wound, she applied a thin layer of antiseptic ointment, ensuring it covered the injured area completely, making you wince and Clarisse mumble an apology.
Her gaze met yours, holding it for a moment longer than necessary. "It's not that deep but it'll probably scar," she said, her voice lowering slightly. You nod as you blush softly before clearing your throat and looking away from the Ares girl, "That's great...I guess." Clarisse nodded, her fingers lightly grazing your arm as she applied a clean bandage over the wound, making you inhale sharply. "There. It should be alright for now," Clarisse said softly, her eyes still on your face. You nod once again, blushing more as you felt the girl's eyes still on you.
You hoped Clarisse couldn't notice your blush, "Thanks. You didn't have to do this." "I know, but I wanted to," Clarisse replied, her voice barely above a whisper. She glanced at the door, as if making sure you both were alone, before leaning in closer, not noticing the way you sucked in a breath, "Look, I know we don't exactly... get along, but I just wanted to help.” You could feel how fast your heart was hammering in your chest due to how close she was, "Y-Yeah... thanks," You said, cursing yourself as you stuttered.
"You're welcome," Clarisse responded, her voice barely above a whisper as she leaned back slightly. Despite your rough past, Clarisse felt herself blushing as well, hoping you wouldn't notice. You look up at the Ares girl, taking in her appearance once more and you can’t help think about how beautiful she is. Your eyes flickered between the girl's eyes and her lips. As Clarisse noticed you staring at her, she couldn't help but blush even more, the butterflies in her stomach fluttering madly. Despite the constant arguments between the two of you, she felt pulled towards you in an undeniable way.
Without thinking, Clarisse leaned in closer, her lips brushing against yours, making you let out a muffled noise of shock. It felt like electricity at first-a spark igniting between the two of you. You returned the kiss, bringing a hand up to cup the Ares girl's cheek softly. Feeling your soft touch against her cheek, Clarisse's heart raced even faster. She deepened the kiss, her hands finding their way on your waist, pulling you closer. Suddenly breaking the kiss, Clarisse looked into your eyes, her heart pounding in her chest. "I- sorry," she said softly with a shaky voice.
You looked at Clarisse, silently for a moment before pulling her in for another kiss. Her eyes widened slightly in surprise but soon closed as she felt your lips pressing against hers once more. This time, she returned the kiss, her hands gripping your waist tighter. You broke the kiss and rested your forehead against Clarisse's with a smile. Blinking back the surprise, Clarisse felt her heart skip a beat as she looked into your eyes. She couldn't help but return the smile, feeling a warmth spread through her chest, "I like you." You laughed softly, "Yeah I figured since you kissed me."
"Right..." Clarisse replied, her cheeks flushing slightly, “Will you be my girlfriend?” You smile saying, "Yes” before pulling the Ares girl into another kiss. As your lips met hers once more, she brought her hands up and gently cupped your face, deepening the kiss. Percy walks in, "Hey Y/N, how's it goi-" You both quickly pull away and he looks between you and Clarisse with wide eyes, "I'm not even going to ask...”

baby fever j.r
plot: It's about two years into your relationship and you claim you've never had the baby fever....until now
warnings: fluff, short
Tumblr media
When you were younger you hated the idea of pregnancy which lead you to the idea that you didn't want children.
But you would always wave to the little kids in the crowd and sign their T-shirts with a smile on your face.
But you still knew that you would never give birth.
The horror stories you had heard or even just thinking about a human growing inside of you made you pale.
You had never had the 'baby fever' that your friends have had.
Until now.
Your older brother had come into town with his wife and little baby boy Thomas.
You always found him cute but he didn't make you weak at the knee's wanting to have children....but this was a certain sight.
You were huddled with Mary and Lauren when you saw the sight, they were still talking about a tackle you had faced in the middle of the game, not noticing your absence in the conversation.
Your head was swiveled towards your girlfriend as she held your nephew, her smile wide on her face as she lifted him up and down, his giggles loud.
"Aw that's so cute" Esme cooed at the sight and you slowly nodded, engaged at the sight.
Jill, your girlfriend or soon-to-be fiancé (your ring for her is still in your sock draw)
Jill your girlfriend with a baby
Jill your smiling girlfriend with a smiling baby.
Your knee's finally felt weak and it was not from the game.
Maybe you did want a baby.
"I'm not sure of what I'm feeling right now" you admitted to the younger girl who smiled "Baby fever" she breathed out "but I've never wanted to give birth" you whispered
Jill was now running around the field with Thomas, catching him when he almost dropped to the floor.
"You don't have to give birth to have a child, there's always adoption," Esme said, her hand on your shoulder before leaving to go have a shower.
Adoption.
You were thinking too much about her words, you didn't see the young boy before he latched onto your leg, "Auntie Y/n!" he cheered "hey Tommy" you smiled, picking him up and settling him into his lap.
"He's fast" Jill smiled, slightly out of breath as he cheered out of satisfaction of out running the girl.
"yeah he is" you spoke "got it from his Auntie" you smirked and he nodded, latching himself more onto you.
You saw Jill's eyes change in emotion and you creased your eyebrows "you okay?" you asked and the girl looked at you "pardon?" she asked "I asked if you were okay?" you said and she nodded "yeah".
"You're really good with kids," she told you as Thomas started to slowly fall asleep on your shoulder "You are too, got him all tired, and now he won't annoy his parents on the way home" you complimented the Dutch girl and you both smiled at each other, almost as if there was an understanding between you both.
"Smile!" A camera man yelled out and you both turned around, Jill wrapping her arm around you, as you made sure Thomas's head was turned around.
"Do I look like I've just played 90 minutes of football?" you asked and Jill laughed "You look pretty" she said and kissed your forehead, from afar you would've looked like a family.
The drive home was quiet but comfortable, your efforts in the game catching up as you grew tired, resting your head on your own shoulder as Jill smiled, looking back at you every now and then.
Jill knew about your hatred of pregnancy and the fear you had of it.
Which is why she was so scared to bring up the thought of children, scared that you would shut her down. She knew she couldn't just let this go, she knew she wanted to raise a child and she couldn't fall in love with you anymore if you didn't
When you checked your phone you smiled, video's of you and Jill with your niece were growing popular as fans commented of how cute it was and you agreed.
You didn't want to give birth but you did want children.
You wanted children with Jill.
The conversation came up after an ad of a little kid playing with toys came up and you had finally cracked, picking up the remote and playing pause on your TV show it was love island btw.
"Have you ever thought about having children with me?" you asked, ripping the band-aid off.
Jill was shocked, dropping her fork into her bowl and swallowing her soup quickly "Uhm" she started and you shrunk back into your seat, immediately regretting your questions.
"Yes I have" she admitted and you let out a breath of air "thank god" you muttered and Jill sat up "I thought you didn't want children?" she asked softly and you crossed your head "I thought so too but when I saw you with Thomas yesterday Esme opened her smart stupid mouth and then I got all smushy and I haven't stopped thinking about it ever since" you admitted and Jill smirked
"Is this why you cried when that little girl came up to you and gave you a hug at the cafe yesterday?"
"shut up" you told her and moved closer to her body "I don't want to give birth" you whispered, scared of her reaction "and I don't expect you too" you said, reassuring her of any thought she had.
"but adoption, adopting a child and giving them a good life, a life they deserve" you listed on, missing the way Jill's eyes glossed over.
"I know some people don't believe in adoption but I want to have children, especially with you" you finished, looking up to see Jill who was smiling and nodding "yeah?" you asked "yes" she said and you brought your hands to her face, wiped away her tears and delicately brought your lips to hers.
Jill moved away "wait this first" she said and ran to your shared room, coming back with her hands behind her back.
"I wanted to do this in a more romantic area but I can't imagine being with you as just your girlfriend for another minute"
Your hands lifted up to your mouth as she revealed the velvet box and lowered down onto one knee.
"Y/n" she started and you nodded your head repeatedly "You couldn' just let me do the romantic speech," she asked you with a laugh, tears now streaming now down both of your faces.
"I have your ring in my sock drawer" you admitted as you leant your foreheads together.
"I guess I got there first".

please can we get a caitlin foord fic 🙏
Bug and Bingo
Tumblr media
Caitlin Foord x Daughter! Child! Reader, Lauren Hemp x Child! Reader, AWFC + CITY x Child! Reader.
Warnings: pure fluff, coarse language, bit long for what I hoped.
A/N — was feeling cute. So sorry if you don't understand what Bluey is. Also, not really based on the most recent match as there are several changes.
__________________________
You were waiting for your mama to finish the bunny loops on her shoelaces, humming the Bluey theme song with your Bingo toy in one hand and Gunnersauris in the other.
You swung your legs from your mama’s cubby, where your coat was pooled around your waist. Auntie Stephy was talking to Beth, and Auntie Lani wasn't in the Changing Rooms, even though she was here, playing today.
Your mama told you that Auntie Lani was playing for the other team, and it wasn't the same as when you were back with all of your other Aunties. It was the same as when mama versed Macca and Mini, and Sammy — but Sammy was watching Macca and Mini’s game instead of playing, which you aren't quite sure you understand.
Sammy’s wife-but-not-girlfriend — you couldn't remember the name — Kristie also played for West Ham, but she only picks you up when you're running away from Sammy trying to tickle your tummy.
You also remember seeing Harper last week, showing her your Bingo toy, and playing hot potato with her in the stands. You love Harper, she is your only friend who knows about Bluey, and she's Australian like you. In Kindergarten, you and Harper are the only ones who speak the way you do. Your mama always asked you whether your classmates would tease you, but Harper would poke her tongue out at them, and you’d ignore them and play with Harper instead.
Your Gunnersauris was lying next to your coat, and your Bingo toy was snuggled under your arm. You were wearing your mama’s Tillie’s jersey because you liked it more than the one she was wearing now. Your Auntie Ky would call the other jersey the Cotton Candy Jersey, and you liked Cotton Candy, so you wore that Jersey when everyone else was. You liked wearing your mama’s jersey because it had your last name on the back too, and number nine was your favourite number so that made it the best. Mama said you were born on the ninth of September, which is the ninth month, so you are very special.
But the most special thing about today was that you were in charge of the Lolly Jar.
“Mama, when we going?” You asked, patting Bingo’s head, hoping she was comfortable where she was. You were slouching against the wall, watching Mama pull up her socks over her shin pads.
She looked up at you and smiled, using her thumb to graze your cheek. “Few minutes, Bug, you excited?”
You nodded your head. “Wanna see Auntie Lani and Mary. Will they sit with me with the Lolly Jar?”
“No, Bug, they sit with the other City girls.” Mama picked you up, propping you onto her hip, jutting you slightly. “But you're sitting with Stephy for the first half, then Vivid and Laura when Stephy comes on. But if I let you take care of the Lolly Jar, you've got to share, okay?”
You weren't too keen on sharing your lollies, especially your strawberry and cream ones, but Laura liked the Sour candy that was too hard for your teeth, and Vivi said that she thinks Snoep is bad for your teeth, so you think you’ll survive.
“Mama want a Lolly?” You asked, motioning towards the jar filled with lollies of all sorts.
“No, thank you, Bub.” Mama laughs, kissing your cheeks and tucking away your fly-away hairs.
“Can I have a lolly, Bug?” Your little body turned to face the voice.
Ky Ky was walking towards you with a warm grin, her hand coming up to fiddle with your collar. You giggled when her finger came in contact with your neck, sending giggles to echo through the room.
“Ky ky no manners.” You spoke, nuzzling your head further into Mama’s neck. Your mama laughed at Kyra’s dejected countenance.
“Yes, you're right,” The younger Aussie player admitted, shaking her head and pretending to act frustrated at herself for forgetting such a thing.
You, however, didn't catch onto her sarcasm, feeling a wave of empathy surging over you. You pulled your arms away from Mama, reaching out and whining for Ky Ky to hold you instead. Your mama handled her over, and you gripped the back of Kyra’s shirt as she danced with you in her arms.
“Ky Ky ‘gonna score today?” You asked, feeling the nip of the cool air shiver down your spine as the girls started exiting into the tunnel.
“I’ll try my best for you, Bub. You've just got to cheer extra loud for me, deal?” Ky held you impossibly close to her chest, her arm protecting you from feeling flimsy, and her body cradling the front half of your body from the cold.
“Will give you extra lollies and cuddles if you do.” You could see Leah at the front of the line with her big red ribbon around her arm, though Mama had told you it was an armband. You told your mama that they should do ribbons instead, hoping she could change it soon because ribbons were very pretty.
You had two yellow ribbons in each of your pigtails, which Lessi had done for you on the bus ride. Lessi was the best cuddle buddy, after Mama and Ky. She would rub and scratch your back with her nails gently, and let you trace her tattoos on her hands. Lessi was your favourite cuddle buddy, even if she wasn't the best. She was always the one you fell asleep on, and she’d always share her blanket with you when you sat next to her on the bench.
“If you don't score, I’ll just give you cuddles.” You muttered, readjusting your position in Kyra’s arms. She helped you by lifting you just above her hip, your legs locked around her waist. “Cuddles are never not allowed.”
“That's very sweet, Bub, thank you.”
“That's okay. Love you, Ky Ky.” You added, not noticing your Mama coming up behind you.
“Hey, Bub, time to put on your coat.” She said, slowly threading your small arms through the holes of the thick fabric. While your body moved without fuss, you made sure to whine a little loudly and huff to show how much you didn't like wearing your coat.
The people who loved your mama — not as much as you — and watched her play with her teammates weren't always allowed to see you. The people in the stands would inevitably catch sight of your chubby cheeks and small figure huddled in a mound of warm clothes and cuddles, whether that be during the lineup or when you were sitting on the bench.
Mama didn't like people seeing your face on their phones. She told you that cameras could cause you to feel big girl emotions, and while you were a big girl, Mama always tried her best to keep you discreet.
You didn't care all that much. Lessi would let you take funny videos with filters on your face when you talk with her on long bus rides. Stephy and Bethy would do dancing videos with you, which you love. So overall, you weren't too concerned with missing out on all that much.
But sometimes you felt like you wanted to be normal. You were cold, obviously, and the coat would warm you up, but you knew your mama wanted you to put it on for a different reason.
“Wanna stay with Ky for standing, Mama. Don't want the coat.”
Kyra acted like she had zoned out of the conversation, not sure how to manage a discussion that sounded so innocent, but had a deeper meaning behind it.
“As long as Kyra’s okay with it then you can.” Caitlin took your hand, squeezing it and zipping up your coat. “But you need to keep this on or else you’ll get a stuffy nose and a sore throat.”
“Still want my Lolly Jar.” You mumbled, not entirely content with the defeat in your situation.
Your Mama nodded, swiping your cheek. “Auntie Steph has got it in her lap for when you sit with her, alright?”
While you weren't awfully content with her decision, you sulked as you let the sleeves cover your body, hearing the zip dousing your body in a new-found warmth. You would never admit that the sensation was relieving, but you chose to snuggle back into Kyra’s chest when both teams started walking out into the crisp air.
There were a few smiles exchanged between the teams, but you understood that they both wanted to win and have the ball more than the other. Your yellow jersey stuck out under your coat, your pigtails and their bright yellow ribbons drawing more attention to yourself as usual. Your face was clasped into Ky’s neck, her body bobbing you up and down in swift motions. The crowd was beaming in excitement as everyone shook hands. You were too busy playing with the hem of Kyra’s jersey to notice the people rubbing your back and smiling.
“Cuddles now?” You asked your Ky Ky, prodding to the comfy chairs where Steph, and Kim were chatting in hushed whispers. Wally and Cloé were laughing with Stina and Laia, but you couldn't find your Auntie Vivi anywhere.
“I'm playing with your mama, Bug,” Ky spoke, rubbing your back as the two of you trudged over to the bench. “You're gonna show everyone your Lollies, aren't you? Mama said Stephy has the jar.”
You knew that Mama only gave you your lolly jar when you were feeling restless before a game. Sometimes, you just want to be attached to someone, whether that be Mama, Ky, or especially Vivi. You weren't used to not having your Auntie by your side during matches. When your Aunties had sore knees, you would sit with them in the crowd, showing them Bingo and bouncing ecstatically in your seat when they’d play games with you.
Bethy always let you swing your legs, and Lau would squish your cheeks and play Bingo games with you. Lau would make you giggle when Lee was talking about the game, and you’d clamour into the blonde’s lap and babble on about how she was a nervous Nelly, cause that's what your Mama calls you when you go to school sometimes.
Bethy wouldn't always let you have your Lolly jar, even though your Mama gave it to you. She said that it made you wiggle more and wiggles were hard to get rid of. But Vivi would always slip you some strawberry and cream lollies when Bethy wasn't looking. She’d make sure you always had a handful of your favourites when Beth was Roo immersed in the game.
You loved your Vivi.
It wasn't too bad when Bethy left, because you still had Vivi, Lee, and Lau, but then Vivi left, and now Lee, and so Lau sits in the stands with other people, and Mama doesn't want to leave Laura to take of you by herself, especially when her knee was only just mending fully.
But Vivi must've hurt her knee again because you saw her and Lau sitting in the stands without you.
It made you even more restless knowing that neither Ky nor Viv was there to play with you. You loved all of your Aunties, but some of them didn't have cuddles like Ky.
“Hello, Bug!” You heard your Auntie Stephy say. Kyra was careful in sparing the last of your affection, kneeling in front of Steph and peeling you off her slowly.
You didn't answer your Aunt, feeling what your mama called big girl feelings when Kyra kissed your forehead and ran towards the team. You latched onto Steph, who was going to put you down beside her before you curled into her lap. She wrapped her arms over your small body, pulling her blanket over the top of both of you so that you were in a cocoon of warmth.
You grabbed Steph’s pointer finger and squeezed. Bingo was facing the grassy field while you had your head towards Lia.
“Are you playing with Mama today?” You asked, settling one of your arms over Lia’s lap.
Lia and your Mama were in love like Vivi and Beth, but Mama says that their friends now. You don't remember a lot without Wally living with you, but Wally wasn't your Mama like Mama was your Mama. You were Mama’s more than anyone else. Auntie Lani always called you Cait, and Auntie Macca would say that you were your Mama’s twin.
Lia was a very nice cuddle buddy. She read bedtime stories to you and let you sleep in her and Mama’s bed if Mama was already asleep.
But now Wally didn't live with you anymore, and the bed was a lot bigger without two cuddle buddies.
“I might be after the second half, but right now I'm here with you,” Lia answered, squeezing your flushed cheeks before drawing patterns on your hand.
You looked up at Steph, reaching for her face, and settling your hand on her cheek. “Where’s Lani and Flower?”
Wally and Kim laughed from either side of you. Mary’s real name wasn't Flower, but she was pretty like a flower, and you thought that Mary smelt like a flower too, so that's what stuck. You made the mistake of looking at your Mama’s team, unable to spot your Australian friends amidst the team.
“They're both on the bench, Bug.”
You peered across the seats around you, only finding Arsenal girls.
“Not this bench, darling.” Stephy shook her head. “Different one.”
“Why not all together?” You asked, folding your arms across your chest. The ball went out of play, and you forgot your question when you saw Mama retrieving the ball.
You squealed when your Mama waved, putting your hands in your mouth and blushing when one of the Lani-Flower teammates gushed at you in adoration.
The Lani-Flower teammate was blonde, and wore a ponytail very high on her head. While she wasn't someone you were particularly familiar with, you made the effort to wave meekly at her, feeling a blush film across your face when the woman waved back.
“Classic Hempo.” You heard someone say, and you wondered whether Hempo was your friend or not. She wasn't an Australian like you, because you had never seen her back home. Maybe she was one of Bethy’s friends, because when she yelled, she sounded a lot like her friends.
“Wanna give her one of my Lollies.” You announced, looking down at the jar that Steph had put on the floor, reaching down and using all of your strength to get it on your lap.
“Maybe after the game, Bug,” Steph spoke, opening the jar, and letting you pop one of the sweets into your mouth. “Lauren is playing at the moment. If you want, you can give her one at the very end, okay?”
Your eyebrows furrowed. “Who’s Lauren?”
Steph sighed, shaking her head with a soft smile. “The girl that just waved at you.”
“Hempo?”
“Yes, darling, Hempo.”
The game continued on for what felt like forever. No one was scoring goals, not even your Mama. Most of the girls on the bench had grown anxious leading into halftime, and now it was Steph who was playing with your hands as you watched both teams tread towards the Changing Rooms.
Kim was very scary at times, even when her scariness was directed at you. She was very, very stern, and sometimes you had to cover Bingo’s ears because what she was saying was not always appropriate for younger ears.
Lee was also letting out her frustration. Leah was definitely opposed to the lack of goals since she was encouraging all of the girls to get back out there and try harder. You wondered why the Lani-Flower Team was so hard to beat when Mary and Lani weren't even playing. You’d understand if they were on the field, but they must've had superpowers that made the team really good because they were on the bench that you couldn't see.
Leah had the big band around her arm — the one you thought should be a ribbon but wasn't. You wore your ribbons all the time, at home, school, games, everywhere. Mama would send photos to your Auntie Hayley all the time, showing how her legacy was proven charismatic on her daughter.
Hayley was someone you missed a lot, especially when she and Mama never versed each other. When you were in Australia, Hayley would do your hair, and she’d use her own special ribbons. She would spend a lot of time with you. She and Ellie Belly would go out with you on what they called ‘Big Girl Days’, where you’d play at the park, get ice cream, and go to the movies, all in one day. You loved Ellie Belly, she was as silly as you. She loved blowing raspberries on your tummy. She was always throwing you up in the air, giving your Mama a surprised face.
You wanted a Big Girl Day now, you thought to yourself. The weather in London wasn't nice. You liked swimming with Harper and Harley. You liked spending time with your Australian Aunties in the sun.
You were sitting in Lessi’s lap, keeping yourself still as she redid her hair. Your coat was left on your seat on the bench, but the Changing Rooms were nice and cosy so no one paid much attention. Your Mama was fixing her hair as well, something everyone seemed to do, so you paddled over to her and tugged on her shorts.
“Hold on a second, Bug,” Mama spoke, smiling down at you, patting the wispy bits of your hair behind your ears.
You didn't want to wait, so you sighed and waddled to the next available person.
You tugged on Katie’s shorts, latching onto her leg and beaming at the woman’s immediate reaction.
“Well, hello, Miss Yellow!” She uttered, jostling your bright-coloured jersey and fixing your ribbons.
“I'm not Miss Yellow!” You laughed loudly, swatting away her hand. “I'm Bug!”
“You're a bug and yellow?!” Katie’s eyebrows raised as she pretended to be shocked. Everyone looked on in adoration, but to you her shock was real. Your laughter emulsified. “That means you're a Bee!”
“No, I'm not a BumbleBee!” You grinned, clasping your arms around her neck, soaking in the way she held you close. “I'm just Bug!”
“Oh, you're bug!” Katie huffed, shaking her head and sighing. “You scared me, Bug. I thought you were a Bee.”
“A Bumblebee, Katie.”
“That's right, a Bumblebee.”
You huffed, deciding that you were just smarter. “You're so silly, Katie.”
Katie let you run over to Mama, who swung you playfully all the way to the bench again.
Everyone was coming back onto the pitch, and the refs blew their loud whistles so that they could start kicking the ball. Both teams were a little bit more aggressive in everything they did. Katie was pushing and getting shoved, and Hempo was doing the same. Another blonde Lani-Flower girl was getting angry at Katie, but the Refs didn't put up their naughty cards so the game went on.
It had been a little while since you were sitting alone on the bench with just Bingo and your Lolly Jar. You scanned the pitch again, wondering whether Hempo was, but couldn't find her. Everyone was warming up on the sidelines. Steph had told you to count how many lollies you could eat so that you were left with something to do.
But you were growing very bored when no goals were happening, and no one to talk to.
So, as your Mama always said, do what makes you happy.
So you did.
You clambered out of your seat, using your big muscles to lug the Lolly Jar with you. Everyone was still playing around you, but you knew that Lani and Mary were here somewhere.
Without thinking, you forget your coat in your chair.
You were careful with every step you took, making sure you were holding the Jar tight. You stopped and waited for people to pass by so you weren't in the way, and it didn't take long for Red Jerseys to turn into Blue ones.
You felt a little out of place with your bright yellow jersey, you thought that no one else knew what you were wearing. After a little while longer of trampling down the sideline, you found a similar bench to the Arsenal one, except there was not a blotch of red in sight.
It took you a few more steps until you shivered at the coolness. You felt silly for not remembering your coat like Mama told you, but you didn't want to leave your Lollies instead. Mama told you to always share your Lollies, so you were doing what she told you to do, just not everything.
You found a coat similar to yours alone on one of the seats. It looked very warm, and you wanted to be warm, so you put the jar down with caution and grabbed the jacket with ease, slipping it on like Mama had taught you.
It wasn't until you saw Mary being subbed on and a cautious hand grabbing your shoulder that you realised that you had one of your ribbons falling from your hair.
“Um, excuse me.” You heard a woman say, making your little head reel up. “I think you're wearing my jacket.”
The sight of Hempo — or Lauren, as Stephy said — sent you into shyness. Mama said you weren't allowed to talk to strangers, even if they seemed friendly and smiled. You didn't necessarily think of Hempo as a stranger, since Mama talked to her and Stephy knew her name, but you only knew her from today, so an introduction was needed in order for you to feel even remotely safe.
“Was cold.” You muttered, holding your Lolly Jar as tight as you could, making you realise that you had not only left your coat on the Arsenal Bench, but Bingo, too. “Sorry.”
This sent your big girl feelings over the edge. The combined factors of strangers, the loud noises of the crowd, your coldness, and no Bingo made your lips quiver and your eyes rimmed with tears. You struggled to put the Lolly jar down but did so in a hurry, avoiding Hempo’s eyes as you tried to shake off her jacket.
The blonde woman stood above you in shock, feeling a wave of guilt wash over her when tears flooded your cheeks. She hadn't meant to make you cry. She was just confused about why you were there, and not with Arsenal, and why you were wearing her coat instead of your own.
“Oh, no, I'm so sorry.” She spoke, shaking her head as she knelt on the floor, making sure you were okay with her being at your level. “You can keep my jacket, I swear. You're smart for staying warm—”
“—Mama says swearing is bad.” You retorted, tears drying the minute the blonde spoke. Sniffles fell from your nose. “Are you on the Lani-Flower’s team?”
Lauren looked at you incredulously. “The what?”
“My Auntie Lani and Flow— Fowler, is on that team,” You pointed onto the pitch, specifically Mary, who was carrying the ball down the wing. Lauren glanced across the field, noticing Mary had no clue about what was going on. She looked back at you and smiled meekly.
“Is your Mum or Dad in the crowd somewhere? I could always help you find them.”
The mention of a father made your eyebrows furrow. You had thought that Hempo had known your Mama, but apparently not.
“You were talking to my Mama just then!” You sighed, picking up your Jar and peeling off the lid. “I was sitting on Stephy’s lap when you waved at me.”
“What?” It took a beat for Hempo’s face to change, a flow of realisation painting her features. You popped a treat into your mouth. “Oh! You're Foord’s daughter! Sorry, wait-”
You watched as the woman kneeled down again, carefully using her hands to open the split of her jacket that covered your jersey. It revealed the bold Australian colours and emblem. You pivoted so that your shoulders showed off your last name.
“Want a Lolly?” You asked, holding out the heavy container.
“Sure… I guess.” Lauren hesitated but nodded after soaking in your adamant state. “I'm sorry for asking but… why are you over here?”
“I'm looking for Auntie Lani.” You stated, not bothering to ask the woman before making your way over to a spare seat. “Mama told me that I should share my Lollies, but my Auntie Stephy was warming up, and Kim is a little scary sometimes, and Wally was stretching, and Ky Ky was playing, so Flower and Lani were left.”
Lauren managed to understand your whines to help you up onto the chair, joining next to you. “Did Caitlin say you could come over here.”
“Um,” You pondered, slightly sheepish. “She didn't say no.”
“Oh,” Lauren replied, unable to conform to a solid response. “Um, do you want me to get Alanna for you, then?”
You thought to yourself for a moment, thinking about whether Hempo was nice enough to stay with you until you felt like moving again. You settled on a yes.
“No that's okay.” You spoke, leaving the Lolly Jar on your chair and moving into Lauren’s lap. “You can have more Lollies. Mama said I should share.”
Without thinking, Lauren shoved her hand down the jar, grabbed a handful of lollies and slowly popped them into her mouth one by one. She didn't know if keeping you with her was a good idea, especially after Laia shot a brilliant goal, sending City into the lead. Alanna was warming up, getting ready to go on, so no Australians could help her out.
You weren't affected by the score, too busy babbling on about how much you wanted some sort of Bingo that Lauren had no idea about. You were content on the woman’s knee, happy in the way she bobbed up and down rhythmically, similar to how Ellie Belly would when your Mama was in interviews.
You both fell into comfortable conversation, leading each other into new topics as the game went on. Lauren let you play with her hands, and you didn't mind how many strawberries and creams she was taking from your jar. No one from either team had noticed the two of you in your own little bubble.
Everyone except a man with a big camera and a microphone.
The English woman didn't know you well. She knew that Caitlin kept you away from the media and that you were a very private part of her life that she kept at bay. You were a bubbly child with a bright personality, she thought, but she also wondered whether you got yourself into trouble as often as it seemed.
Lauren knew the man from City’s media team. He was friendly, and nice to talk to, but she had never had the experience of a toddler in her arms to handle this kind of attention.
“Who might this be?” He spoke, holding the camera up to the both of you.
Before Lauren could answer, you swerved your front to face her chest, potent in the way you shoved your body away from the camera. Your Mama had taught you to do this from a very young age, and now it felt like second nature.
Lauren caught onto your worry almost instantly, shaking her head towards the kind man, waving his endeavours off.
The man must've caught on quickly, as the camera dropped as fast as it arrived. You kept your head buried into Hempo’s neck, curling your legs around her waist, thankful for the way she pulled your hood up.
“Don't worry, I don't like cameras all that much, either.” She cooed, rubbing your back in comforting circles, relieved at your tense figure softening as she did so. “Sometimes it's just good to talk without them, eh?”
“Yeah,” You muttered in agreement, pulling your head away slowly, taking your time to turn back around.
The game was coming to an end, heading into extra time, and you were feeling the effects of your long adventure hurling over your little body.
Arsenal were not playing to their strengths, and the frustration of their gameplay radiated in beams to everyone who watched.
You had just caught sight of Auntie Lani being subbed on before your eyes had drifted close and your breathing had evened. Lauren only noticed your deep slumber when the full-time whistle blew, and you made no more advancements towards your Lolly Jar.
Hempo tried extra hard to keep you sound as she curled her arms around you, lifting you into a cuddle, and walked towards her celebrating teammates and defeated rivals silently. With your hood still up and the blonde rubbing small patterns on your back, you held onto the woman peacefully, relishing the fatigue that had caught up to you.
Hempo had separated from her confused teammates — who were all questioning when Lauren ever had any affiliation with a child — and strolled over to the Arsenal bench, where a flurry of anxiety hit her straight.
Kyra was indefinitely pale. Wally and Leah were searching the parameters of the field. Katie was ridiculing fans, and Caitlin was an absolute wreck.
Beth was beside herself, Viv by her side, comforting her spouse with a strained expression herself.
A flooding red flushed Lauren’s face, the reality of the stress the girls in front of her were under hitting her like a truck. She was conflicted in keeping you sleeping and running over to announce that you were okay. She resulted in jogging cautiously, nearly dropping the Lolly Jar on the way.
Leah was the first to notice the young Lioness. “Lauren, what are you—”
The Arsenal Captain nearly collapsed at the sight of your tiny figure curled up in her arms, meeting the woman in the middle and calling out to the rest of the girls.
“Oh my fucking God, where was she?” Caitlin sighed, immediately taking you from Lauren’s chest and hugging the breath from your lungs.
You stirred out of your daze, surprised by the sound of your Mama’s voice and not Lauren’s.
“Mama swear.” You whispered, not comprehending the gravity of the situation as you found a new comfortable position in your Mama’s arms.
“She was just wandering around with her Lolly Jar, looking for Alanna and Mary,” Lauren spoke, her voice cracking at the amount of eyes on her. “I was with her the whole time. She just wanted to share her Lollies, and erm— she forgot her coat so— yeah… oh and something about Bingo—”
“Thank you so much,” Caitlin said, looking down at you and hugging you closer. “How long did you think she was by herself?”
“Oh, not long.” Lauren started. “I found her with my coat on, so she knew what to do with herself. But I made sure no one recorded her. I'm not sure about when she was alone though, sorry.”
“Don't be.” Caitlin sighed. “I'm just glad she was with someone.”
“Shared my Lollies, Mama.” You whispered out from her neck. “But I think we need more Strawberries and Cream.”
Katie came up behind you and Mama with your toy Bingo in her hands. She took off your hood and poked your cheeks. “I think that's enough lollies for you, Bumblebee.”
You took Bingo and hugged her, smiling like not a minute in the world had passed, content with the new friend you had made and the lollies you had eaten.
You hoped every match was like this.

somewhat obsessed with the idea of wearing rick’s boxers.
it’s like second nature to you. it has to be.
after every time you slid into bed, every time rick and daryl strip you of your own undergarments, every time they fuck you dumb, everytime rick maneuvers you into your position bundled against his chest, you’re wearing a pair of his boxers.
the two had been surprised at first when they found you face down on the bed after a long day in nothing but a tiny tank top and rick’s blue and white striped boxers.
it took everything in them not to pounce on you right then and there. but when you woke up, you were more than happy to fess up to stealing rick’s boxers to wear as shorts.
rick could barely contain himself one afternoon in alexandria. you were taking judith on a wholesome stroll but you were wearing a pair of pale blue boxer shorts with a soft, white long sleeve and one of rick’s white button ups thrown on. later, he had to explain to you that he wasn’t snubbing you when you caught sight of him and tried to wave him over, just trying to keep his zipper from busting.
you had just laughed and quipped that they were the perfect bottoms.
from then on, rick found his boxer shorts going missing; on runs, he’d found you in the men’s underwear section, stripping down to try on a pair of striped ralph lauren boxers. that’s how the two of you ended up sweating and shamelessly blushed out on the cramped car ride home.
the rose painting your countenance couldn’t cease because you knew you smelled like sex. rick too. from the creamy ring you’d left around his cock as he lifted you off of him and onto the mahogany sales table, you knew you two had overdone it. with the wide block of time you had today to secure supplies, rick felt free to fuck your pussy twice, filling you up enough to have you seen stars on the sales floor.
all because you’d styled his underwear as shorts.
daryl teases his friend about it.
“can’t even wake up without seein’ her in ‘em and gettin’ hard.”
daryl’s a hypocrite however.
even the woodsman isn’t immune to your figure in those boyish bottoms.
it’s twenty-five minutes into your small game hunt when daryl’s hands are in your boxers. you had actually wanted to catch a rabbit or some quail, but once your boyfriend’s fingers are between your folds, you can’t find the will to complain.
the two of you start with him holding you against a hemlock, arms wrapping around you while he fingers you nice and slow, boxers down around your ankles. as he massages your plush walls, daryl counts how casual you are about going commando as one of his blessings.
then it turns. then suddenly there’s a pine needle in your mouth. you spit the green thing out and try to brace yourself against the forest floor. it had happened so fast; his tongue tag teaming you with his fingers to crack you open like a safe in record time. then you were face down with nothing but a denim jacket quickly strewn beneath you.
you love when he or rick spring this kinda thing on you - it’s spontaneous, wild, a little risky in all the right ways. yes, most nights you’d prefer to be rolled up into a blanket burrito with your boys and a glass of wine but the adventures like this really do something for you.
pupils expanded, your chest is heavy when daryl’s the first to come out of your post-romp fog and collect your boxers. your legs are still shaking when the fabric touches your skin.
“daryl!”
you’d protested when the man began to pull up your boxer briefs. full of his cum, you want to clean up before you soil your bottoms but daryl disregards the swats to his hands. slightly annoyed, you hurried ahead of him through the tract of woods back towards alexandria. it’s fine. he just enjoyed the view of your ass.
complaints crawl out of your mouth as soon as you’re in the door and you’re haphazardly hanging your rifle on the wall. daryl brings in the rear behind you while you’re stomping up the stairs to rick.
your chocolate curled lover is taking off his watch, ready to drop it into the ceramic dish on the dresser when you appear next him, shimmying down your bottoms in a huff.
“hey, darlin’,” he greets, expecting more than a scowl from you.
“hey,” you reply curtly, face still in a pout.
“-make sure you don’t take off those boxers, baby-,” daryl stops dead in his tracks at the sight of your bared pussy in the bedroom lamplight. rick’s also taking it in, eyes trailing from your waist to the trimmed bush, and the puffy pink pussy peeking out, now leaking with daryl’s sticky cum.
you bend over to pick up the soiled shorts. “you’re not the only one who likes these,” you point out.
blue eyes narrow. but before he can give you any lip, you’re giving him not one, but both of yours. smashed against your mouth, rick’s tongue delves between those pillowy lips while walking you towards the bed where daryl’s waiting to situate you on his lap once more. daryl’s antics weren’t enough to turn off the blazing furnace between your legs. no, your temper can handle a few more rounds. it’s not hard when your mind paces back to the eye rolling, all consuming inferno that had cyclones through your core.
they trap you in a kiss. sandwiched between both of their hard ons, you’re shifting and grinding in each direction.
“thought you were pissed off with me,” daryl breathes into your ear, fingertips skimming your waist.
you snort, leaning back into him to grant full access to your bared neck. without hesitation, he’s licking a wicked pattern up the column of your neck. “dare’,” you sigh. gasp after gasp, you melt into his touch.
daryl’s hands are beneath the fat of your rear already and all of the sudden, one of rick’s fingers has snaked its way down to your clit. the fervid flicking against your ardor flush tissue culls any anger you could have towards the two men. you can’t even think about holding a grudge once rick gets a finger into you. at two fingers, daryl’s kissing you with the ferocity of a wildfire. three fingers inside of you and you’re babbling;
“rick, faster, please.”
“what was that?”
“please - faster, can you please?”
the grin on his face is as wide as the pacific. his lips turn upwards into a sly smile. “you want somethin’ a little faster, darlin’?” you shake your head as if it’s obvious. he hmmphs. “you oughta’ sit on daryl’s cock.”
you can’t imagine a world where that’s an unpopular idea.
back onto daryl you go.
those hands at your hips come in handy; daryl raises you a few inches once rick’s removed his fingers. eyes focused on rick and the way his mouth closes around one pruning finger. sucking it clean while daryl’s tip brushes your slick entrance. any yearning radiating off of you can’t be hidden. that kind of heat and wetness down between your thighs is no lie.
so a hiss is to be expected when the muscled man wiggles his way into you. rick is saving a mental image of you - adjusting to the familiar stretch of daryl. your blush doesn’t ease once daryl works another half inch inside.
one moment you’re trying to process daryl’s cock as it’s suddenly seated in you to the hilt. the next rick catches your gaze again. this time he’s doing more than teasing you, taking advantage of your parted lips to invade with his tongue.
“rick,” you mumble against his lips.
“you gettin’ close, angel?”
“should feel ‘er,” daryl rasps. with each thrust of his you’re clinging to rick. “so fuckin’ tight like you didn’t get this perfect pussy fucked in the woods.”
“that’s where you guys went?”
your mischevious grin is hidden in the crook of rick’s necks. the telltale tightening around daryl’s length is all consuming. your grin turns into an open “o” shape when daryl drags across your cervix. sensations from your convulsing core are consuming him too.
that same lust from the woods washes over daryl like the tide and you’re the moon, pulling him in and leading him to crash into you. usually this is rick’s wheelhouse, but one glance into daryl’s darkened pupils and you’re ripped from rick. on top of daryl’s lap, you’re wrapped in his arms, bouncing up and down on the rock hard cock beneath you. he sets the pace while you can only claw at his chest. he returns the favor and reaches forward to palm your tit, relishing in your sweet moans when he rolls a hardened bud between two fingers.
riding him on the bed is such a break for your knees compared to the forest floor. gyrating your hips activates not only the core that keeps you fit but the molten hot bundle of nerves at your core. daryl ruts against you deliciously to deliver just the perfect level of pressure.
rick can’t help but be bewitched at everything unfolding on the surface of the mattress. daryl’s length disappears inside out of you, reappearing with each erratic movement of your hips. there’s no reason to be jealous but if looks could kill, daryl’d be dead simply for the privilege of burying himself inside those heavenly walls.
meanwhile, heat bursts down below like a mini neutron star collision within you. forehead cast with sweat, the energy is fading from your movements as you messily move your pelvis to brush against daryl.
a “fuck, baby,” escapes from his lips and you’re done for. and so is he.
shooting into the sheets and collapsing by your side. you’re prepared to slide into daryl’s embrace when there’s suddenly a familiar feeling breaching your bared pussy.
nails dig into your hips and daryl’s back at it again - lapping his tongue up and down your slit. you were thinking that you two would at least catch your breaths but daryl’s taking no breaks. rick isn’t either.
in true rick fashion, he’s tapping your lips with his impressive cock. how can you say no to that?
you open your mouth and moan around his cock once you feel those devious fingers in your hair. it’s like that sense of overwhelm’s been replicated again. tongue against your clit and yours on the underside of rick, you never imagined your afternoon going this way. all this thanks to your little fashion trend.
“princess, your mouth feels amazing.”
you bob your head in appreciation. just like daryl’s taking care of you, you’re taking your time swallowing around the man in your mouth, treating him to the tight embrace of your throat.
“you like gettin’ a cock down your throat while daryl licks you stupid?”
“mhmmm!” you nod forward onto rick.
as soon as your moans reach daryl’s ears, his tongue’s kicking into hyperdrive. goaded by your delightful little whimpers, daryl begins swabbing a vicious pattern across your folds. the redneck alternates between racing over your sopping tissue to flattening that tongue and saddle you with a finger.
“ooommph,” is the only sound that comes out with rick’s steel hard cock down your throat.
spit slick, rick throbs in your mouth. that painful hardness he’s enduring is granted some sweet relief by your hollowed cheeks. you don’t stop there. driven by the lust addled, cock crazy part of your brain, you’re fully sending rick down your airway. breaths come briefly when he lets you up for air or to howl or cry, “dare’!”
right on time, your core is heating up again. the kiln inside of you scorches. neutralizing you, the ecstasy of another orgasm has you nearly folding into your leader. the blue eyed sheriff even leans back, tugging you up by the hair to keep you from actually choking on his cock. daryl’s diligent puckering around all of your important parts is overwhelming you against, a strategic hand on your clit as well.
as if you were all in sync, rick comes in your mouth first, fingers weaving through your gossamer locks while your thighs quake. you gag at first, before swirling your tongue under the twitching cock and swallowing it all. like a good girl.
once rick’s coming undone, daryl continues swirling his tongue around you. your pussy weeps for him. it contracts around his tongue until even rick’s raising his eyebrows at the vulgar slurping sounds filling the room.
“dare’,” you whine.
“gonna’ be a good girl and come all over dare’s tongue?” rick teases.
“yes, please!” you beg, banging a fist against the sheets.
“you gonna’ let daryl taste all of that perfect pussy?
tears well in your eyes from the overstimulation but you nod as enthusiastically as possible. “pleeaase!”
you don’t have to ask again because you’re too busy arching into your third orgasm of the day. clenching and unclenching, your insides flutter. “ah!”
“so pretty when you come, baby.”
you’re dissolving into rick’s touch as your climax rings through your cunt. starry eyed and panting the pleasure out through your lungs.
you could fall asleep right there. and you do.
it ends as it always does.
following the flush and the lips leaving the surface of your skin, you feel a familiar fabric traveling up your thighs and double kisses mandating that nap that had been on your mind. the bed and the cozy comfort of sleep swallows you whole. rick too. he can never get close enough, not when you’re wearing his boxers.

y/n had always adored playing for Chelsea, playing for Emma. Chelsea were her childhood team and now she played for them, running down the wing and keeping the game alive.
Better than that, she played with her girlfriend of two years, the two having met and pretty much instantly becoming a power couple in the football world.
While the two hadn't confirmed anything, everyone had pretty much guessed and pieced together and they had never denied anything. Snippets of them ended up over TikTok.
Lauren's hand on her low back as they celebrate, y/n jumping on her when she scored her hat-trick, the two arriving and leaving together, y/n in Lauren's hoodie.
Of course the team knew, they had been a big part in getting the two together so knew the ins and outs of their favourite relationship, making sure that if they posted photos with the two a bit too close in the background that they were okay with it. They always were.
Currently, y/n was sat in Lauren's lap, listening to Emma's pep talk, the manager not even mentioning the way y/n was sat as she knew it wouldn't mean anything to the two.
Today's game was against Tottenham, and y/n had woken up with a sick feeling in her stomach. Like something was going to happen, but she pushed it down and hoped for the best.
The group all cheered as Emma finished, everyone standing up as they leave to get to the tunnel. y/n and Lauren hang back, doing their handshake with either hand before sharing a quick peck.
"Be safe out there." y/n warns Lauren.
"You too baby." Lauren tells her and she nods as they move to the tunnel, Millie sending y/n a knowing smile.
Stamford Bridge was alive with cheers as they walked out, a sea of blue, cheers and screams echoed as the teams lined up, the captain's shaking hands.
y/n shared a smile with Lauren as the Chelsea team huddled, Millie talking them through the first 45 minutes. Their arms were over each other's shoulder, though Lauren let her hand run down y/n's back slightly, equalling an elbow to her side.
The group depart, moving into their places as they wait for the whistle which blows, Bethany England, Lauren and y/n's England teammate starting off the game.
Barely ten minutes in and Lauren's jaw was tensed, her teeth clenched together in annoyance as her lover hit the floor for at least the third time.
Ashleigh Neville happened to be marking y/n today, and the woman was hardly playing fair. Lauren helped y/n up for the third time, the two setting up for the free kick.
Lauren's hand falls to y/n's waist, as if she was checking her girlfriend was okay, which she was. Then Lauren lined up to send the cross in and y/n moved into the box.
Lauren fired the ball in, y/n jumping to try and hit it with her head. As she does, Ashleigh Neville pushes her in the back, y/n goes tumbling down, her head managing to clip the ball into the net as her body sprawls out on the grass.
"Ow." y/n whines, Lauren getting to her and crouching next to her.
"You okay?" The referee asks, checking on the fallen player who nods as Lauren helps her up.
"I'm gonna kill her." Lauren says simply and y/n looks over at her as Millie pats her back.
"Don't you dare." y/n warns her as play gets going again.
y/n runs down the wing quickly, watching Bethany carefully as she times her tackle, sliding onto one knee briefly to pass the ball out to Erin who fires it forward to Lauren.
Seeing the fact Lauren was being surrounded, y/n pushed herself up and sprinted down the field, trying to create a switch up play between her and her girlfriend as she recieved the ball.
y/n went to pass it on when studs found her ankle, the girl shouting in shock as she rolled onto the ground. Lauren stopped her run as the whistle blew, charging over.
"Mills." y/n warned, her captain having been nearest to help her up. Millie realised what she was warning and turned, quickly taking Lauren's shoulders and pushing her away.
Sam replaced Millie, holding out her hands so y/n could take them and put some pressure on her ankle. Once realising she was okay, y/n nodded in thanks to Sam.
"You okay squirt?" Sam asks her.
"It's not me I'm worried about." y/n warns her as she and Sam look over to Millie and Lauren who were protesting at the ref for lack of a card.
"Uh oh." Sam says as Ashleigh rolls her eyes behind the ref and Lauren tenses.
"Yeah, uh oh." y/n agrees, scurrying over and grabbing Lauren's arm, pulling her away. "Calm down." y/n warned Lauren.
"That was such a dangerous tackle." Lauren scoffs.
"Leave it." y/n repeats. "I'm fine, just show Ashleigh what happens when they touch your girl." She adds and Lauren can't help but chuckle.
The free kick was just outside the box, Sam and y/n stepping away as they proudly watched Lauren fire it around the wall and into the goal, the net shaking as Ashleigh groaned.
As y/n turned she saw Lauren smirk smugly at Ashleigh and y/n cleared her throat, finding the action rather attractive to Sam's disgust.
"Keep it in your pants squirt." Sam snorts and y/n mockingly shoves her as they reset.
It took a total of three minutes for Ashleigh to cause trouble again. y/n understood, her team were 2-0 up against the Tottenham side in twenty minutes, but couldn't she leave her alone?
y/n was running down the wing when Ashleigh tugged her back. y/n groaned but turned, kicking the ball off Ashleigh and out for a corner, she looked toward the ref but the woman hadn't seen the tug.
They set up for the corner, Lauren placing herself behind her lover to protect her from the shoving in the box. Lauren's hands were comfortably on y/n's waist, their bodies pressed against each other tightly.
In that moment, Lauren was worrying about protecting y/n from the slightly enthusiastically violent Ashleigh Neville, she couldn't give less of a damn what media coverage it would gain.
The ball was kicked and the box moved, Lauren tried to stay close to y/n but watched as Ashleigh came shoulder to shoulder with y/n, and then the woman's arms came out and pushed, unfortunately wrestling y/n away from the ball. And into the goal post.
y/n's body hit the ground as Lauren let out a shout to stop the game, the referee listening for once and carding Ashleigh with a red, for the arms used to throw y/n against the post.
Lauren however was focussed on the fact y/n was not yet awake, the medics now around her as Lauren stayed next to her, hand in hand as the medics worked around Lauren.
y/n woke up with a groan, only out for a minute, but she had a bruise already forming across her head. y/n squeezed Lauren's hand and looked over at her.
"And I thought running into Millie hurt." y/n groaned and the medics chuckled, asking her if she wanted to be stretchered off. y/n denied, asking if she could be allowed to at least walk off.
"You've got a concussion, though it isn't a major one. Somehow." Their medic said almost confused.
"I'm a tough thing." y/n replies as she wraps her arm around Lauren's shoulder, the girl helping her up and the wrapping her arm around her lover's waist.
"This is gonna have TikTok going crazy." The medic chuckles and Lauren hums.
"I don't care, just make sure you take care of my girl yeah?" She asks them as y/n gets to Emma, a medic taking Lauren's place who with a stern look from Emma runs back to place for Guro's penalty.
"Made a hell of a bruise already." Emma comments, tilting y/n's head up, chuckling as y/n grinned brightly. "Nothing can dampen your spirits, ay squirt?" Emma asks her.
y/n shrugs and is helped down to the medical room where they begin their usual check, y/n too dizzy to pay attention to the noise outside.
Lauren was the cause of the noise, with five minutes to go of the normal first half and at least ten minutes of added time, her head had ducked and her shoulders tensed.
She glared at Ashleigh Neville from across the pitch as the reset, now 3-0 up from Guro's penalty. The whistle blew and Bethany England passed back to Grace Clinton.
Grace quickly had the ball stolen from her feet as Lauren raced through the players and hammered the ball into the net. Emma cheered, hands shooting up in victory.
Lauren assisted another goal and, on of Sam's and the Australian ten assisted Lauren's second goal since y/n had been taken off. The two strikers shared a grin as the whistle blew, 6-0 up at half time.
Lauren listened to Emma's pep-talk with jumpy feet, the woman finishing finally and allowing her to go see y/n, Lauren practically sprinting down the corridor.
Lauren opened the door to the medical room to find y/n doing some sudoku. An icepack held on her head with her other hand. Lauren chuckled which caused y/n to grin.
"Baby!" y/n smiled, opening her arms.
"Hi gorgeous." Lauren said, bringing y/n into her arms and pressing a kiss to her hair. Her eyes pushing down to the crutch and now supported ankle of y/n with furrowed brows.
"It's a sprain, from the earlier tackle, I was no help with running on it, but couldn't quite feel it." y/n explains, Lauren taking over holding her icepack.
"How long you out for?" Lauren asks worriedly.
"Two weeks, three at most." y/n reassures as a medic comes in saying they had let Emma know and that she was okay to go back to the dug out.
"Coat." Lauren hums, pulling y/n up and taking her own coat off wrapping it around y/n.
"They're going to notice the number." y/n warns, there being a number '10' sewn into the Chelsea coat on the left chest piece. It wasn't very big, but y/n was sure they would notice it.
Also the fact the coat was nearly eight inches too long for her and engulfed her body. But it was so warm, and smelt like Lauren so y/n didn't care if anyone saw.
Lauren walked slowly with y/ n who was giggling away with the crutches in hand, and before she could get outside, Lauren tugged the girl back.
"Come 'ere." Lauren hummed, pulling y/n into her chest, pressing their lips together. Lauren licked at y/n's lip, pushing her tongue past her lips so she could sweep her mouth with her tongue.
y/n was slightly shocked at the kiss and as Lauren pulled away, a smug smile on her face as she pecked at y/n's lips once more, the girl felt as if she could of fainted.
"You alright guys?" A voice asks and the two turn to see Bethany England stood with a smirk on her face, already knowing about their relationship due to the fact she was on the England team.
"Hey Beth." y/n said sheepishly.
"Maybe don't make out in the corridor guys." Bethany chuckles and y/n rolls her eyes at her jokingly before she goes out to the dug-out, Emma clapping her on the back as she moved to sit down.
Fran and Ann grinned at her, both out today due to slight injuries. Fran threw the blanket over y/n who sighed in the warmth as she placed her crutches down.
The three chatted away, waiting for the second half to start which it did, with another Lauren goal. y/n looked over to Emma in shock the woman just chuckling.
Lauren scored another four minutes after, assisting another one for Sam after another seven. Emma leaned over to the shocked y/n who was confused about where this type of Lauren had come from.
"She warning them." Emma explains and y/n looks up at the scoreboard and the names underneath hers.
James 20'
Reiten 41'
James 44'
Kerr 45 + 3'
James 45 + 9'
James 46'
James 50'
Kerr 57'
"Warning them about what?" y/n asks Emma who chuckles.
"What happens when the touch you." Emma tells her, as she gestures Mia Fishel to warm up, just as Lauren gets sixth of the game. As soon as the time hits seventy minutes, Lauren is take off for Mia, the girl panting as Emma claps her on the back.
"I should get y/n knocked out every week." Emma teases and Lauren shakes her head.
"Don't you dare." She denies as she climbs over a row, sitting next to y/n who quickly rips Lauren's coat from herself and wraps Lauren in it.
"Where did that come from?" y/n asks the girl in shock, Lauren shrugging as she swung an arm over y/n's shoulders pulling her into her chest. "They'll see." y/n warns, settling her head into Lauren's shoulder.
"Let them. I don't care." Lauren says simply.

Here are all of the cute things which happened today between Lauren and y/n while on pitch - links attached are the videos curtesy of @wosocouplesproof !!
1) OKAY - first lets talk about every time Neville tackled y/n LAUREN WAS GETTING SO MAD - like when y/n went down the third time in like two minutes - Lauren THREW HER ARMS UP AND YELLED
2) The foul before the y/n goal, Lauren helped her up and then held her waist - like the hold was so natural and tight, she so forgot where she was lmao
3) The ankle tackle and Lauren going mental? Then y/n grabbing her arm and calming her down - also bonus if you saw Lauren's smirk after her goal and y/n look down BLUSHING - SAM THEN TEASED HER ABOUT IT OMG
4) When y/n and Lauren were preparing for a corner and Lauren 'protected' y/n by legit having her pressed into her chest, Lauren's hands were on her waist guys, holding! - istg I don't know how much more I can take
5) And then when y/n went down ( i was so scared omg) Lauren being right there and helping her off pitch, only to say (or at least we think) 'take care of my girl?!!!!!'
6) then Lauren just showing Tottenham why you don't hurt y/n unless you want to lose oh idk 10-0.
7) thennn y/n coming in in LAUREN'S COAT after half time and crutches - but we have been updated ly chelsea admin get well soon queen!
8) Then Lauren scoring again, and again, and again, and assisting Sam again and again. And THEN coming off the pitch to sit and cuddle with y/n

°。°。°。°。°。°。°。°。°。°。°。°。°。°。°。°。
y/n chuckled as she finished reading the tweet, her head on Lauren's shoulder as the girl traced patterns into y/n's bare shoulder, the two had hanged into more relaxed clothes as they got home, the two of them in sports bras and joggers as they sat and watched 'Big Mouth'.
The Chelsea groupchat had been going crazy - videos of Lauren's goals and the two of them together being sent in and laughed at people enjoying their win and evening.
"My superstar." y/n hummed, pressing a kiss against Lauren's neck lovingly. "Played so well today baby." y/n continues, leaning up to peck at the corner of Lauren's lips.
"Hmm, only because they hurt my girl." Lauren denies, leaning down to press a long kiss to y/n's lips, their tongues meeting, y/n grins into the kiss, giggling as they pulled away.
"Hmm, think Emma will try and get me hurt every week if that is the response." y/n says softly.
Lauren huffs, pulling y/n onto her lap and squeezing her waist tightly as y/n laughs, settling her back against Lauren's chest, the girl leans down and pecking kisses against y/n's cheek.
"Emma tries to do that, I'll kick her ass." Lauren states and y/n laughs.
"You can't do that to our manager." y/n laughs and Lauren chuckles, smiling softly at the sound of y/n's laugh.
"Then I'll get Reece to do it." Lauren says simply and y/n laughs again, turning slightly in Lauren's lap so she was buried into her neck.
"Okay." y/n hums, closing her eyes as Lauren ran a hand down her back.
"I was really worried today." Lauren says softly. "When you hit the ground. Jesus, fucking hell. I could have knocked Neville out." She continues.
"But you didn't, and well done for that." y/n says, pressing her lips against Lauren's neck in an innocent kiss.
"You sure your ankle is okay?" Lauren asked, hand running over the booted ankle in worry.
"Fine baby. Stop worrying." y/n says and Lauren hums, sitting back and slouching. "I love you Lauren." y/n tells her.
"Love you too baby." Lauren promises her. "What do you think about not being so careful?" She then asks, wanting to get the question out before it burnt up inside of her.
"I think, I better hope they notice your name when I wear it next game." y/n grins and Lauren chuckles, tilting her head down to press a kiss to y/n's lips.
"Gonna be the hottest WAG." Lauren says with a wolfish grin.
"Shut up." y/n laughs but grins when Lauren pulls her closer.
