today is catching up with stage day and i binged on mtr’s and bat’s rep lives back to back and i’m still driven to peak insanity by stage jakurai, stage hifumi’s antics were kinda crazy esp with doppo lol speaking of, i might also be not normal about stage doppo, stage hitoya got to be a menace, stage jyushi only gets cuter and cuter and hooooooooooly shiiiiiiiiiit the power of just letting stage kuukou rock out for an hour plus i am dead!!!!!!! deceased!!!!! perished!!!!!! evaporated!!!!!!!! eviserated!!!!!! destroyed!!!!! decimated—

i tried to emulate red’s team for ichiro lol. the pachirisu on there is a nod to the team that won competitive champions with a pachirisu on the team but i think i’m going to change it to something on the pawmi evolution series because i love pawmi lmao

jiro’s team is a lot more cracked than i thought it was while putting them together lol. initially i wanted the bros to be fire, water, electric for their colours but you can’t tell me cinderace wasn’t made for jiro lmao

a handful of saburo’s pkmn have pkdx entries that mention prickly attitudes lol

the bros all have a rowlet evolution because bukuro!!!!!!

samatoki’s pkmn either have something to do with his name or general tragic vibe lol. his salamence is a rival pkmn to ichiro’s flygon and that incineroar is his fighter spirit

officer jenny in the anime had an arcanine so so does juto lol. the machop is his muscle he likes to bring along on missions (like rio) and the others represent his various interests. lopunny lol

bugs and tough mons were what i was going for for rio. i think i’m going to change aggron to bastiodon tho for its shield head 🤔

ramuda’s pkmn are either cute, unfortunate or both lmao. i went with type null but i did give ramuda a mewtwo at one point. it’s a legendary tho so i’m thinking of changing it 🤔

gentaro’s are all about his vibe really lol. tropius tho is there for his love of dinosaurs 🤗

dice’s pkmn are all primed for wild living lol. gyarados was a magikarp dice won from gambling and he fully intended to eat it lmao. aegislash is a remnant from the life he left behind

jakurai’s team i think needs a revisit 🤔 but for now, happini represents his renewed vow to heal/save and the others are graceful ass kickers lol. tentacruel is there because of his rhyme anima tentacles lol

idk if i still vibe with maractus for hifumi but it is there for its thorns. malamar is representive of his hypnosis ability

doppo’s pkmn are either lethargic like he is or not okay mentally lol. the petilil is for his botany hobby but i’ve been thinking about changing it to a succulent themed pkmn. like maractus for example lol

most of sasara’s pkmn have his eyes lmao. klefki is there because i think him having a bunch of copies of rosho’s house key is hilarious as it is very worrisome lol

i gave rosho a lot of baby pkmn due to his caretaker nature but that mightyena and pangoro are for his strife nature lol. and slowking is there for its intelligence like rosho’s intelligence 😌

for the life of me i cannot remember why i gave rei a dragonite so i’ll be rethinking this one fs lol. but his others suit his vibes and accomplishments lol (eg poipole is a pkmn not of this world and matches ramuda’s porygon) he’d have a ho-oh but i’m trying not to give anyone legendaries 😅

rosasa both have monkeys and the moms i find one for rei that ursaring is GONE lol

kuukou is a temple boy and therefore a ghost type trainer lowkey lol. his spiritomb i chose because it actually parallels his name and the medicham and darumaka are also for his buddhist spirit

his monkey parallels ichiro’s monkey but i’m thinking of finding a different breed of pkmn to play matchy matchy with since i want to give rei a monkey lol

oinkologne used to be emboar and i might change it back but for now, this pig matches jyushi’s aesthetic, like all his pkmn do lol

*cries* all of hitoya’s pkmn have his hair but i chose the wrong meowstic on his card i’m so sad lol!!!!!!! 😭😭😭 obstagoon is for that old rock soul of his and golurk is for his protective nature. i knew i wanted to give hitoya a quaxly the moment i saw it, the question is do i evolve it so it can match hitoya’s dancer spirit too lol

scrounged around for some more dh/bat stage spoilers and found a decent summary! i had a hard time understanding it tho so i know i’m missing chunks (even more than what the summary gives me lol) but anyway key points from the summary that i got:

the auxiliary team seems to be students of rosho’s?? sasara comes to visit rosho and they geek out over the famous comedian their teacher knows and then geek out over the comedy routine sasara pulls rosho into

lol and apparently that’s a recurring thing where sasara starts a skit and rosho unconsciously goes along with it lol rosho tells sasara at one point to stop that but you know sasara is having the time of his life 😂

anyway the aux team is a duo rn because their other member broke it off with them

cue sad sasara noises

their missing member apparently has been acting strange and rosho and sasara go to rei for answers

and this part of the summary made excited because when confronting rei, rei understands why rosho is asking but doesn’t get why sasara is there. i don’t think he really gives an answer but you can’t tell me he’s not only just trying to help out these kids get their old partner back, but because where rosho goes sasara is making sure to follow!!!! feeling super validated rn about rosho leading sasara into plot he would have otherwise stayed out of if rosho wasn’t there!!!!!!

anyway said missing member is actually with jyushi trying to get him to help him out

we find out through rei and also through jyushi listening to the guy, that his grandma is sick and started working with shady people to get money to pay for her medical bills. he’s being thoroughly manipulated by the boss tho but he’s trying to get out

jyushi is totally crying and why not man they have similar life experiences

i think hitoya and kuukou have been there this entire time tho? idk when they showed up but kuukou stresses the dude needs to fight back against his boss

and in another interesting moment to read, kuukou is kuukou and doesn’t mince his words so it comes off cruelly. after the guy runs off because of how hurt he is, jyushi and hitoya both scold kuukou for being mean and reminding him that not everyone is as strong as he is.

i do wonder if that’s going to be part of kuukou’s character growth going forward, learning to be softer? especially teamed up with someone like jyushi

idk where this play has taken place this whole time but kuukou finds the troubled teen in mothertruckin ikebukuro where kuukou apologizes and also setting my expectations for ichikuu reunion coming with an apology since these plays have been suspiciously lining up with character plot points not yet discussed but we know needs to be

i think dh/bat come together with the aux team to beat up the manipulative asshole plaguing the sad member who was out here guilt tripping him for leaving him by saying he needs to think of his grandma. well, i know dh was there idk if bat was but there was a part where jyushi is laying out his verse and both kuukou AND hitoya do some flips as backup and that’s what’s up lmao go hitoya go!!! and the final battle seems to be the best place to put that lol

all’s well that ends well, the aux team are back together and hitoya the goat pays off all the bills for the kid’s grandma’s medical expenses and even recommended taking her to jakurai mr. miracle doctor

that’s actually the entire summary just transcribed to my understanding lol my bad. but something this play has really cemented for me is...... sasara and kuukou aren’t the best of leaders.

on sasara’s part, sasara just doesn’t want to. sure rei’s the established wild card and is harder to lead/direct, but outside of leading rosho into a pun, sasara largely just goes along with rosho and doesn’t care to change the flow

as for kuukou, those are growing pains. there’s potential, and that’s why kuukou’s dad let him train jyushi, but it’s obvious kuukou’s going to need a bit of an attitude adjustment. it was pointed out to him in the play that not everyone is as strong as he is and going from being partners with someone who was as strong as he was (and i’m sure buried within him somewhere, kuukou did think that ichiro was his leader since wherever ichiro went, he did too) to being with a team who can’t keep up means learning from them to help bring them forward with him

we’re getting close to one year anniversary of the 4th live day 1&2 where nagosaka debuted!!! september 7th and 8th!!!! happy one year anniversary in the series dh/bat!!!! 🥳🎉 i gotta say, i wasn’t expecting to love the new divisions as much as i do!! when hypmic put in the work for advertising the bat album, all three of the seiyuu commented that you would be rooting for jyushi from here on out, and they weren’t lying lol. it wasn’t easy listening to jyushi’s story and how who he is as a person shows the negative impact of his bullying but i respect the heck out of him for wanting to be better and to feel better about himself. and he’s so cute i’m here for his entire aesthetic like bro 14 year old me is living it up wild for jyushi’s vkei style 🌙✨🖤

Favorite thing:

his mic and speakers are fire bro. i lost my marbles when they dropped like the way they incorporated amanda into jyushi’s umbrella mic is inspired!!!!!! his speakers are the grave his rap will bury his foes in!!!!! agent of chaos in the making aimono jyushi!!!!!!

What i want to see from this character:

for jyushi to be cool, confident vkei king he wants to be...... this is kinda bat/dh manga spoilers but the recent chapter shows jyushi hyping himself up in front of a mirror because he sees the person he wants to be reflected back at him. his vkei persona maybe a defense mechanism but it’s still inside him!!!! you are that person jyushi!!!!! i believe that you can fully become a vkei star!!!!!!

i would also like to see how/if he knows doppo and/or hifumi since, as kuukou pointed out, he didn’t immediately start edgy-speaking to them as we know he does around new people

Favorite moment:

hhhhh i have issues choosing one singular moment for jyushi but i cheated with hitoya so imma cheat for jyushi as well lmao

1) his entire cameo in the mtr drama track, ‘chaser from the past’ is actual comedic gold

2) his song has some of my favorite lyrics in the entire series like the chorus dedicated to amanda, the line where he says he puts on makeup to become someone better and the verse that gets me every time is 🎶MASU MAIKU TSUKAMEBA DARE DAREKA NO HIIROO🎶 😫✊

3) when he clears his throat put his edgy voice on lol

his band isn’t popular lol. the vkei scene in nagoya loves him don’t get me wrong!!! he’s definitely the most popular vkei band in nagoya it’s just outside of that, absolutely nobody knows who he is lmao
