au where everything is the same except arthur survived... & heres how it can happen:

the fight w micah happens,, but arthur manages to hurt micah really badly w a knife to the knee & cracked some of his bones by slamming him against the rocks (they were fighting near a crevice at the mountain top...... arthur couldve literally just slammed micah against the edge of the crevice & made him bleed heavily from his head or smth).

so the fight isnt as one-sided ish as in canon. its now even bc yea arthur can play dirty too during a fight for his very life. he aint above stabbing ppl w a knife, cmon now.

so the fight happens w a whole lot of injuries sustained by both men. everything goes down the exact same as in the game.

arthur doesnt die; he passes out from his injuries. charles & sadie go back for him while tilly stays w the marstons. they got to him & took him to a doctor just in time for the doc to heal his wounds... altho the doc wasnt very optimistic abt arthur's chances of survival, charles & sadie still took the chance anyway.

they move to live in a cabin in the woods, a little far from civilization but not completely secluded bc arthur still needs access to meds & the doctor. charles & sadie tell the marstons + tilly abt this, & only tilly goes over to live w charles sadie & arthur while the marstons wanna start over & keep things on the down low. (john pays off his own bounty w the money arthur gave to the marstons, so now hes federally pardoned.)

several months pass & arthur gets a little better. he still has tb tho... but its more manageable now than it was before. he gets into an argument w tilly charles & sadie bc they wanted to stay w him while he, very self-deprecatingly, told them to just leave him alone in the cabin & go live their new, free lives now.

they, ofc, didnt listen bc "shut tf up arthur. we wanna stay w you bc we care abt you. you did everything for us... allow us to care for you. not that we wouldnt even if you didnt allow it." in sadie's words... more or less.

tilly still gets her happy ending, marrying a lawyer & all tho... it just happens very later on after arthur got better & was federally pardoned too. he attended her wedding as the man who walked her down the aisle & he was definitely, 100% bawling his eyes out bc thats his baby sister getting married!!!

mary & jamie gillis learn of arthur's survival when they saw him, charles, sadie, & tilly in... whichever town they all ended up in. tilly immediately had her guard up while charles & sadie were more welcoming to mary & jamie bc. theyve no fucking idea what the history is. arthur was... equally happy & wary.

mary didnt want his help this time tho!! she was just worried abt him. the two of them talk things out & mary finds out that arthur gave away the proposal ring to john; she was so happy abt that... but also sad.

jamie, on the other hand, was hint hint nudge nudge-ing the two of them—like hell is he gonna let this new opportunity for them go by! not like before. he might as well put matchmaker in his resume after graduating university bc of how he was trying so, so hard to make mary & arthur go on dates. (he just wants his own little family back...)

tilly wasnt happy abt any of that but she just. threatened the gillis w a smile on her face that if they did anything to her older brother, theyll be hearing from her personally :)))) & its not gonna be pretty :)))) so mary better not hurt him again :))))

(it was during that moment that sadie & charles realized how alike tilly & arthur are.)

anyway this is getting long to tl;dr: arthur survived bc of charles & sadie. then mary & arthur do, in fact, end up together again & this time... it works. it finally works. just like arthur promised her.

i was just thinking about the look on down from the bridge moments in rick and morty bcs im obsessed with them and i started like way overanalysing shit (as always tee hee) so im posting it here

so like while both are following a really traumatising moment for one character that doesnt feel traumatic for another (morty being absolutely horrified seeing his own bludgeoned dead body, rick unphased, just another day in his life lol. and rick killing the man hes destroyed himself hunting for half his life and realising he doesnt feel any better, while for morty it was just another adventure) but then there's also differences, lets break them down >:)

morty's look on down from the bridge moment:

okay so right before it starts the last thing we see is rick being very dismissive of how horrifying this is for morty

im not sure tbh if rick is really aware of how traumatic this is for morty (clueless little man <3) but morty does quite clearly express his horror and rick dismisses it, kinda showing how morty is often pushed to the side and ignored by characters on the show

next we see morty looking down at the corpse with his traumatised look and rick nudges him to get moving, instead of comforting him or smth

again showing that morty is like dismissed and kinda emotionally neglected, especially by rick, but also by other characters

the next bit is just him burying the body, just showing again what it is that has him in this dissociative state

pretty self explanatory

then, and heres where it starts to get interesting, we see morty watching his parents arguing

(sorry, hes not watching them in that specific shot but he does when the angle changes yk)

obviously he's having a Moment about them not being his original parents and how hes in a whole new dimension and no one even knows except him and his emotionally inept grandpa, but also he stands there for a good moment and his parents don't even notice hes there, they just ignore him

after that, we see summer and rick sitting on the sofa, rick watching tv and summer on her phone

morty just stands there and stares at them and summer doesnt even look up (we've already established rick isnt going to) its like hes invisible to the people around him

and then we just get a zoomed in shot of morty's horrified face aaand roll credits

(no picture attatched, sorry, i think we all know what mortys face looks like)

morty is highlighted here, the focus is on him for the audience, we are supposed to see how shaken up this has left morty. no one else is in the shot because no one elses reaction is relevant right now

also i'd like to point out that everything being done by others in mortys lodftb moment is completely mundane, beth and jerry arguing (pretty regular for them) rick just watching tv, normal tv not even interdimensional cable, and summer on her phone. none of this is special or different, this is an average day being ignored for morty, except this time he needs his family more than ever, but still nothing changes

mortys problem portrayed is that ppl dont value him enough or dont pay attention to him. his parents can be emotionally neglectful, he and summer don't have a super close relationship (in later seasons theyre a bit closer), and rick is, well... rick. he pretends not to care about morty, ignores most of what he says, dismisses his feelings, etc.

aaand moving on

rick's look on down from the bridge moment:

this contrasts morty's moment where he is not okay but rick ignores it bcs here morty directly asks if rick is okay and rick lies about it (if u look closely u can see his pants are in fact beginning to catch on fire /j), so morty is chill now bcs he believes him

morty then goes in for a hug (im not attatching an image, im sure you've seen it 100 times) and this is our first sign ricks lying (well i mean. apart from context clues) beacuse usually he would push morty away or complain or be awkward (like in fear no mort lol) or uncomfortable but he just remains completely passive, his expression barely even changes

morty then goes on to ramble excitedly about their epic adventure because rick said hes fine but very quickly mortys voice is drowned out and lodftb begins to play. here morty is blurred out of focus and the camera zooms into rick

okay, so preceding it we have morty asking rick if he's okay, to which he responds yeah (liar 🤨)

this is, again, different from morty's moment because while morty's issue is being ignored, rick is very far from ignored, his issue is that he just like goes through life and the people around him don't realise how much he's hurting. morty isn't seen at all, rick is seen plenty, but he's never understood, not really. does this make sense? idk

anyway, going on, morty keeps contentedly talking in the ship whike rick stares blanky ahead, but when he realises morty expects him to answer, he gives him a nod, since it's whats expected so morty wont think somethings wrong (also the cinematography of the broken ship really adds to the scene i feel.

again, the contrast here is clear, morty is like completely frozen in his scene, and no one notices or cares at all. rick on the other hand contines to go through the motions as he's expected to despite his strong emotional turmoil going on, which we as an audience can see

morty keeps talking as they get back home, but eventually does leave and go idk to bed ig, leaving rick standing in the garage, looking blank and empty

i couldve picked a better picture sorry i just. tell me he doesnt look like the pixar lamp here, im sorry lmao back to serious ok

so next we see him shutting off the power to his rick prime hunting room

this ofc shows its finally over, but the fact that they leave him stanfing in the dark there shows how he doesnt feel better or fufilled like he wished he would

okay, now we get to his family being shown, first up is summer, theyre sitting on the sofa much like in mortys moment, but morty isnt in this one and also summer is not on her phone (unusual) but watching a movie with has popcorn, and she seems happy, she seemingly asks rick to grab some drinks, which he does silently without even complaining (not usual for the whiniest man in the universe lol)

anyway here summer is more cheerful than usual, not just on her phone like she normally always is

next we see the two beths and jerry washing space beths ship, theyre having fun, laughing, messing around and spraying echother with the hose playfully, while rick watches from the window, away from them, actually right when the lyrics playing are "everybody seems so far away from me"

again, this isnt like mortys scene, where everyone is just having an ordinary day and not seeing how everything has changed for him or even looking at him, here everyone seems to be having a lot of fun, without rick, summer and morty both address him directly, but neither realise how Not Okay he is

and lastly we see the whole family at the dinner table, everyone is smiling and chatting amicably, rick is just sitting there still, not even eating. however, he is then addressed and seems to need a moment to zone back in, but when he does he grins and (assumedly?) cracks some kind of joke/says smth that makes everyone laugh (except jerry, who just looks kinda confused this whole scene lmao) and everyone goes back to their meals, rick also taking a bite of his own. however when everyone looks away, his smile drops again and cut to creditssss

the shot doesnt zoom back in on him now like it does for morty in his scene, because the fact that rick is not well has already been established now, instead the angle shows the whole family beacause the point is to show how everyones happy and think he is too because he's putting on His Act, so like the smile fades to show he is not okay but the angle and zoom stays the same to show that it is not seen or like understood to be that way. ykwim?

so here its portrayed that ricks problem is that people dont realise that hes hurting. he comes off as a jerk all the time because of how much suffering he holds inside, how much is going on in his mind (or i mean a lot of the time he just. is a jerk, but this isnt abt that rn), like when bird person tells morty rick is in great pain and morty says "come on bird person, rick isnt that complicated, hes jist a huge asshole" people dont realise it bcs of how much he struggles being vulnerable and talking abt his feelings but my boy is hurtingg :(, so this scene is kinda showing that they assume hes fine but really hes in a lot of emotional turmoil

9 of swords is definitely a negative card, lots of anxiety and fear swirling around something, but the knight appearing with it seems to me to imply just like- pushing through the fear. honestly reminds me of the time just before basically im gay, dan is scared but forging onward. knight of swords also implies a very fast pace, like things are moving really quickly which is DEFINITELY true and also matches with dans "what comes straight after" tweet. too many planets aligning at once etc, lots of shit is going DOWN lmao

phils cards were the king of wands and the 5 of pentacles.

king of wands is VERY leader/making big decisions/creative director, which makes me think that hes got something in the works here that hes going to be a big part of creating/directing (pride month mayhaps??) its also very much an opportunity card, like here is something that he can take and make great coming soon. 5 of pentacles honestly took me a minute to think about because usually its more about financial loss? but im thinking its maybe more about recognizing the necessity of help from others in difficult times. idk phil is getting help and is also a king 💪💪

GOD this is insane to me... queen of swords to me is clarity and truth. every time ive pulled this card before it has been a reassurance to trust what i know and my ability to see whats in front of me... wedding hill... truth... idk guys... and then 6 of cups is all joy and happy memories (also can mean children? phregnancy announcement?) and what could be more joyful than a marriage? anyway once again these two cards are just a resounding yes so... im not pretending to know anything about their private lives but the cards havent lied yet lmao...

So I looked through the past chapters of lookism, and I always notice that whenever DG appears in the same room as Charles—charles choi would always have his eyes closed. And it is NOT helping.

The recent chapters showed us DG who was in a meeting with Eugene and a few other people of high stats, and it was abt the red paper and all. We see how the moment DG leaves the room, Charles choi follows in soon after. Which is mad suspicious.

All I can think of is three things.

One being that maybe when DG left the room, him and Charles had encountered each other, and exchanged a few dialogue. It wouldn't surprise me if they were actually still working together. As we've seen in Vin jins backstory with seongji, James was sent to the shaman. Making the shaman believe that James was gonna protect him, only to find out that James was actually there to kill him.

So what if working with Eugene is just another way to get Eugene to lower his guard, so that the plan will succeed?

I do not really wanna believe that Charles, someone who literally knew gapryong Kim, would not notice a drone. It feels so fricking fake. Mans has better sense than that. Or maybe he really is musty and crusty already.

Moving on to number 2, maybe when DG left, he —by absolute luck or by awareness dodged the scenerio of bumping into Charles choi. Or sensed that Charles choi was coming— ended up taking a different turn, or exit. Away from the eyes of Charles. Which is why he was able to avoid meeting Charles.

And 3, maybe DG is the second body.

But, as much as him and Charles are/or act similar, I can also come to a different conclusion. What if he's Charles son? PLEASE I DONT CARE IF HE IS. ANYTHING TO PROVE HE ISNT CHARLES 😭

if DG was his son, then things would make more fuckin sense. The way James acts similar to Charles, and all. And, remember when James said "I was raised under Charles choi" to seongji? I know it could be a way of saying that he was trained or fought under Charles instructions, but maybe it could mean different. Like father and son type shit.

OORRR maybe, MAYBE, PTJ will throw the most random out of pocket plot twist in all of lookism, and it turns out that Charles choi, is THE real JAMES??? okay, okay, it sounds dumb and I agree. But it could be, right? Bear with me. Maybe they'll throw in the most random twist on James lee and Charles choi. But I still hope that James is just his son or smth.

SU reclaimed pearl rambles

im gonna use some annoying comments i got on my reclaimed pearl as a springboard for what i think could be interesting discussion because i think its good to engage with criticism/different opinions. but also if you talk to me like an asshole i want you to fuck off and i promised i wouldnt engage in that kind of stuff bc its not good for me and it doesnt Look good for me either.

so i can talk about my thoughts but not engage directly, win win. its been months but im still really fond of the pearl i made specially this art. like it coudl be better but i like it well enough. just a little header so this isnt a boring post with only text

i think like, its good to establish ground rules that like, i think most of the poor reactions ive seen towards my art were missing, mostly in bad faith probably but in case theres ppl who earnestly want to understand. actually maybe i can format it like a little FAQ even though theyre not frequent or asked lskdjg just for outlining my points. ill put it behind a cut but ill frontline w this: if youre a fan of pearl in the show, this content is not for you. youre allowed to like whatever you want and so am i. if you like her, we probably wont get along and you probably will feel very personally irritated by how i FEEL about her, so just walk away now. im not gonna engage with petty shit taht juts boils down to 'im mad you dont like what i like'

why did you change pearl?

because i hate her, simple as. i went from a huge SU fan to hating watching it (i did finish) and pearl is probably The biggest reason why, as like issues with her character seep into other aspects of the show that i also hate. like i mean i Realyl hate her. she makes the experience of watching the show really irritating and miserable for me. if you dont feel taht way about her thats totally normal and whatever but no one is gonna change my experience and feelings that i had watching SU since the 1st season was coming out.; anyway answering. there is a Lot i love about SU and want to engage with, so i had the idea of like,maybe ill just change pearl, cause i wanted to delete her, really, but she is one of the main characters and she hasa function as a character that you cant just do away with. essentially im just like, some guy, who draws, coping and trying to reclaim his teenage investimetn in this show. literally its just for ME. but if anyone else feels like i do, then they can enjoy it too. if somoene doesnt feel like i do, go watch like pearl fancams or smth. like ill never be able to literlaly change the show as it is, like its happened, and its a tragedy im trying to move on from (begrudgingly)

why do you hate pearl?

the long laundry list of reasons are probably apparent in the ways i remade her lol (theyre not i can tell ppl are gonna project whatever worst bad faith reason for any change i make) but tbh the core of it is this, which is like, beyond whatever traits she has and whatever: she reminds me of my abusers. always had, from season 1, but like it became worse as the series went on. its like really infurating and upsetting to watch SU bc of her. had my abusers been a different kind of person, maybe i wouldnt hate her so much (kinda doubt tbh). like her personality and behavior are like hough disgosting!!

why did you change (some physical trait about her design)?

i dont really necessarily have a PROBLEM with canon pearls design. over the years ive come to like SU's style less and less but like, gestures, whatever. like i didnt like it or anything but its not like a bit deal compared to the actual offender that is her personality and behavior. the reason i redesigned her at all is bc like, if i hadnt, i would still be thinking about the way she is in canon all the time. like ive visually associated her like, appearance with all the shit about her thta makes me upset so i had to so she didnt look like the same person anymore, and i can try to let go of some of the hatred in my heart. like i want to think about the thigns about SU that i loved and also the potential i always saw in it and canon pearl is like, an active obstacle to that, to the point taht i cant even see her without getting like irked. i tried to keep enough similar traits so from a glance youd be like, who the fuck- is that pearl? rather than like. completely change her entirely to whatever i wanted. i do want to like, its a creative exercise. i want to try and change the things that would make me happy to see gone but try to work within the constraints of the SU we Did get as much as i can tolerate. bc like.... if the sky was the limit then at this poin wed just have to throw the whole thing away and start from scratch. like its kinda not really very salvageable, like im not rewirting SU to be like a Good show or fix Everything, its kinda too broken. im just chnaging enough so i can look at the actual show, screenshots, songs etc, and not feel overcome wtih like the grief and irriatation of how much it sucked ass. its just so i can enjoy more of it again

cool. thanks for your input. youre welcome! eat my asshole. seriously though, like, shrugs. i didnt make it for anyone other than myself. tbh im not fully satisfied with it either bc i think the SU style is kinda ugly, so im at a crossroads. should i mostly abandon the SU style? ive like, tested out tweaking things, it mightve been noticeable in screenshot redraws. drawing within the SU style is to create that coping 'oh it was totally like this haha' vibe but maybe im old enough to not need that anymore lol. like ive heard ppl say shit like shes ugly, or like sneakily trying to imply im like, got some agenda over beauty or racism etc. like whatever, think whatever you want, its not for you. go back to sucking up to rebecca or smth like i cant take the og pearl away from you still i am open for like that kind of criticism like, do i have personal biases affecting my design decisions? probably. i do try to keep aware of why im choosing certain things, but really in this case i cant emphasize enough how like, irritating it is that i have to change her design at all. like its hard to come up w smth else when the rest of the cast ahs already been design to balance off the og pearl. i probably wouldnt change almost anything if the sight of her didnt piss me the fuck off! most of all i kinda wouldve preferred to keep her hair short bc it messes up the sillouete but it makes me think too much of canon pearl so i made it long :/ i was like let me tell you my design thought process: -im gonna try to keep as many recognizable traits about her design while taking away bit by bit until she doesnt look like the og pearl to me anymore and i dont feel angry seeing her. pearl is lanky, tall, spindly, with a gem on the forehead, blue white pink yellow pastel colors, large pointed nose. i kinda tried to keep these traits while slightly tweaking their design until she looked different enough. is it a good design? eh idk. like the purpose is to make me not hate her and it does that job

now this hate comment im gonna grace with keeping it intact except removing the person bc its not about them. its like, a very stupid ass headed comment but im actually kind of interested in like,jumping off of it to ponder some things

im not heterosexual or cis enough to know what exactly wife bate means in this context so im gonna like guess, that maybe i could extract this q from that reply (also not looking like shes from steven universe is a compliment thanks)

you took away her personality and made her boring

the only thing i can assume is that like, some people must interpret the absence of an assholey personality or like abusive behavior is 'boring'. i know thats a really bad faith assumption but like, if ive written down a bunch of personality traits and you still come out saying thats 'no personality' what am i to make of that lol. based on my experience like Existing online, people tend to often call nice characters 'boring', like dude ive done it before, but i think im kinda over that edgy phase. also again, its for me and not for you so if you think shes boring, thanks for your input i dont care. but thinkign about it earnestly, i dfeintely dont want to make a character thats just no flaw and not interesting ofc, i havent done that with reclaimed pearl. that being said i havent like, probably written a lot demonstrating what i want her to be like instead of the canon pearl so, maybe ppl just are feeling lost with the lack of information.

personally, if i hear someone thinks a character is boring bc theyre not abusive anymore like, nothing of value has been lost. but characters do need flaws in order to create conflict and cause things to happen, like in a way canon pearl is like All flaw, which wouldnt be a problem except she gets away wtih all the horrible shit she did. heres some traits i want to explore with reclaimed pearl, some are similar to canon i just wanna go about it a different way: being overprotective/possessive to steven in a smothering way, projecting abandonment issues, not reaching out/communicating her emotions properly, lacking indepedence/self worth, depending on others to avoid confronting her own issues, being very passive and insecure and lacking initiative (this being the totally opposite trait that canon pearl has), stunting stevens development due to her not being ready for him to grow up and not need her anymore. and more, this is just from the top of my head. maybe thats still too 'boring' for ppl because shes not being selfish and inconsiderate enough to others so you can relate to her but i dont care :p

imma be frank. i dont know how to compltely 'clean up' any possible bad associations wrt pearl as a character given how like, rebecca has literally like, made her to be a slave in love with her slave owner and made it to be like, an uwu ideal lesbiab thing for most of the show until they tried to pretend no we understood the flaws in this dynamic all along and its bad actually , uhh, anyway shows over haha

ill say the main reason i changed her skintone is, bc that would be the like most instant way to make her look differnt from canon (which is vital for me for the reasons said above), and i did consider like, does this make the whole thing worse, or, ?? like, as they made it in the show, techincally All the gems are slaves to the diamonds, arent they? including all the very totally progressive poc based gems including and specially the ones who are made to be understood as black women. bruh like idk what to tell you this show is just fuckig bad sdlgkj like its just way too like, pervasive in my teen years forme to throw the baby w the bathwater entirely. and ill just straight up say it, like, im not a specialist on these topics nor do i hav ea position of authority to speak on about it. like the pearls read more clearly as slaves (very intentionally by the showrunners) bc they are meant to be subservient to gems Other than diamonds. and also bc they like fit in the stereotype of housemaid servant. like the rubies being made to just be forced to go and fight like they are slaves too, they have no rights and no like, authority to disobey or autonomy. but fsr like, slavery as in physical labor just doesnt immeidately set off ppls alarms as much as housework slavery does fsr.

continuing the “enid realizes she isnt much and does smth abt it” train, lets start with the season ending. 

Maybe Enid is still reeling from the “the mark you left is indelible” but is struck on how little she can give when she sees Wednesday look up to see Xavier.

That he would fit so much better at Wednesday’s side. All gloomy and edgy and artistic-

From what we know from the show alone, he seems pretty rich. Dude’s in a secret club, the wiki mentions how his dad and most likely his family is famous enough to have the Addams family visit a funeral so its a slap to the face to see him give her a phone just like that.

Is enid poor? prob not, but i like to think that she’s atleast middle class that tends to be overlooked for her other better family members. Does she have a lil hoarding and possessive issue bc of this? yeah, itd explain why her bed got so many plushies and why she seemed so insulted when her window got taken apart by wednesday.

continuing, now that Enid knows that there are others that can give so much more, she kind of gets into a funk when she goes back home. The two face of her family now that she wolfed out has her cringing and she has two months and a week until she comes back to nevermore for the 2nd semester.  

So, maybe its the heightened emotions from the recent wolf out but an argument happens and Enid fucking books it from her home when it gets too violent. No phone, no wallet just her and the clothes on her body.

Maybe its the spite, maybe its her thoughts or maybe its the cliche that esther is controlling but Enid gets it in her head that she couldnt be anything with her family. She was outside her family’s clutches when she manages to transform after all.

She needed space, she needed time and freedom to get what she wants.  

It doesnt make sense but shes emotional, a lil high strung and her chest aches when she looks at how messy she is after tumbling around a forest.

So its decided. she needs time away from her family, the family that looks and prods and sees her as anything but who she is and goes to make smth of herself. The sinclair pack is small and nothing much outside of her home, so she decided to be bigger than that.

Its childish, its absolutely moronic to be something so much more than Enid Sinclair the late werewolf and when she notes that shes doing it because she just want to fit next to Wednesday?

it sends her to hysterics but shit- the last words Wednesday said to her reminds Enid that she actually was notable in someones life. 

Sure, theres Yoko but Yoko is a vampire. They live for centuries and its an asshole move to assume but Enid knows that she’ll be forgotten in time but Wednesday?

Wednesday held like her like she was precious and Enid so desperately wants to prove that right. She doesnt just want to be that werewolf who trails after Wednesday Addams. She wants to be Enid, the one who Wednesday can lean on fully.

Not tyler, not Xavier but her. 

But to be that, she has to be stronger, richer and maybe alot more resourceful. She isnt any of that and it hurts but its better to try than not do anything at all.

so with baggy sleeves and scratched knees, Enid straightens her shoulders to walk back home to fully execute her plans. 

Its all fine and dandy, she’s looking for a job and searching up proper work outs. Its all okay! Until, another werewolf pack comes to visit her town and now that she finally wolfed out, she’s falling face first into Wolf culture that she wasn’t fully exposed to before.

And it's strange. I've never felt so attached to a student before

Iruma stared at me. He looked surprised (am i that unreliable of a teacher?)

"Please," he said, voice too haorse as tears started trailing off his cheeks "i want to go home"

Iruma's sobs were quiet, smth, and too much to bear.

I layed my head on his cheek, the best comfort i could give him riggt now, then i looked at the restraints. They were made from leather, and probably laced with magic. They shouldnt be too hard to break.

That's what i thought, but no matter what spell i used, how hard i yanked, no matter how much i pecked them, they wouldnt budge. They wouldnt break or tear or show any sign that someone has even touched them.

"My bloodline magic," i turned around quickly, spreading my wings as far as i can reach. If that bastard thinks of going anywhere near iruma, im going to-

He raised his hand, a silent threat. I didnt move an inch

"You tried to break it, didnt you?" He entered the room "as long as i have mana, these restraints are unbreakable. Quite practicle, isnt it!"

I stayed silent, watching him, daring him to  try and hurt iruma more.

It was a good call to get shichiro with me. Not like he was less scary, but he reminded opera and sullivan that if i get hurt they won't get there needed information.

I look at iruma, confused. What does this have to do with anything-!

His skin is pale, cracked. There are dark circles around the eyes, and his breathing is irregular. He's comatose

I grit my teeth and force myself to look into kirio's eyes. The bastard has the audacity to look so thrilled.

"Glad we could come to an agreement, sensei"

The tension rose in the room, becoming too thick it could be cut a knife. Balam straightened at my words, while opera's posture shifted, becoming defensive. Just in case. Sullivan.

His eyes became sharper. An aura engulfed the whole room, seemingly only affecting me as I tried to fight my legs from giving out, forcing my lungs to work, and preventing myself from choking on thin air.

"Oh," the room became suffocating as all the demons tensed even more "do tell me about this deal, Kalego-kun"

At this point, Kalego is not even sure how he's alive. Between getting repeatedly summoned in the middle of a terrorists base and facing a sullivan who has lost what could only be described as his most prized possession, Kalego is just not sure how he at the very least didn't loose a limb.

And so, once again he gets summoned. His first instinct is to fly to iruma's side, check his injuries, and this time he reaches his kid student unobstructed.

This time he is aware of the two other demons in the room (is there no one else in this damned place?) They’re standing near the door, gaurding it. Kalego pays them no mind.

He's focused on the demon laying ont the bed. Iruma is looking at him, his eyes glazed over seemingly dazed. He looks..terrible, but at least he's awake. At least he doesn't have more bandages. At least he's alive.

"S-sen-"

"Sensei," Kirio said, forcing Kalego to finally acknowledge their presence, "c'mon, sensei. Let's go"

Kirio moved to get out of the room, but Kalego stayed put. He’s not leaving Iruma's side. Not so soon.

"Kalego-sensei~ you're not gonna honor your words?" That

That broke kalego's resolve. His stubbornness, because if he is not going to honor his words, then why should they?

Slowly, he left iruma's side amd flew cautiously towards Kirio who was keeping the door open for him.

He tried to ignore iruma's eyes that were following him until he disappeared out of the door.

Hello, it's me xD (I'm a bit late today cause I had a bday tea party to attend to ;P) Finally watched the episode! The first two thirds were so good, nice, glowy. It kinda makes me wonder if Ciel, deep down, cherishes these spun sugar memories or if in trying to put a front for Sebastian doesn't let himself even feel a bit of joy. (Also, yeah, was the fucking viscunt necessary??)

I do not know/remember anything about that chicken either. Took me out, ngl. Also, the *moment* the saphire's stood with both hands on the rows I was like "how tf are you gonna take off your hats and hold that heavy ass thing at the same time??" Them falling into the water was hilarious, but I think it made the other houses finally be 100% ok with them winning this one tornament (I think we all know there's not gonna be another 'miracle' for a loooong time lol).

It boggles my mind that no one, not a *single* soul in this whole ass school (with the exception of Cole, but fuck him) think of Ciel as even slightly suspicious! Like, in a month, two months? He managed to impress the P4 so much they invited him to tea, uncovered a bully and his plot *from another house*, became the prefect's drudge's drudge (and somehow still served the P4), got 'recommended' for the criquet team, did a complete overhaul of their techniques and strategies, managed to *pull off a win* for the house whose only won once before *AND* moved the audience to tears to win an invitation. And NOBODY thinks this is strange??? Smh

(Also, can we talk about how realistically Cole would have *totally* found out about the cover-up of the P4 and used it to keep his place? That was an oversight, in my eyes.)

Ciel using the angle of the kids' families' despair instead of his mission as Watchdog/Guard dog is so clever. Since he doesn't have a clue UT is under that hat, he's going with 'reasonable and sympathetic', which would have worked...on anyone else. Can't wait until next ep!!! (BTW, do you like boybands? *hinthint* ;P *nudgenugde*)

(Also, this idea just came up to me the other day: if the arc went even further -weird as that would be since this is one of if not the longest arc- I would have *loved* to see Finny in Weston! Like, let's suposse there were scholarships back then, and Sebastian did some *magic* to get him into Blue House -since he isnt of noble birth and i dont see Finny as artistic, and giving him to green house would mean completely losing the tornament lmao- before Ciel, so its not completely suspicious. Imagine Ciel, McMillan, Finny and Hartcourt (add Soma if you want) hanging out together, in the grass! All of them playing with Soma's elephant! Imagine the cuteness overload! I'm aware of the impossibility of this idea, I just want to bask in it for a little while. Finny being around kids his age, for once; Ciel defending him from bullies because you know Finny would let himself get pushed around if it meant not hurting others. Finny blushing everytime he says Ciel's name cause he's not supossed to be *allowed* but now he *is*. Finny scared shitless of Proff Michaelis instead of starstruck, cause he *knows* how much that ruler/can hurts, thanks no thanks. I just, I love this silly little idea xD)

IDK I think he enjoyed life at Weston to an extent. He had friends and a sense of normalcy. But at the same time, it's a temptation. 16. a tiny detail in canon that u want more people to appreciate

we talked about this before but i really like how rise of phoenixes handles the crossdressing trope. quippe quest mentions this in their videos at some point i think; feng zhiwei is allowed to actually look like a man when she dresses up as a man, and the additional layer her crossdressing shenanigans add to the exploration of her arc that ends in her being completely stripped from all she has at the beginning (agency, autonomy, freedom, value) is all the more gutpunching. i look at her being all unrestrained (as a person) when she dresses up, moving around freely and doing what she wants (as per her nature), and then i look at who she is forced to become once the emperor finds out about it and it gets public. its honestly horrible, like a horror movie (feng zhiwei fmv horror edit?). so the maturity and nuance with which they approach and utilize it is smth i wish would be talked about more, if only because its so dear to me personally and i think everyone should talk about it all the time

oh this is a mean pick!!!!!! me having like a hole in my head etc!!!!! but one of my earliest beloveds media that i could count as me entering a fandom of any kind is the donald duck franchise. dont really have a better name for it. i could call it the Mickey Mouse Franchise but that would be A Lie. mickey mouse has nothing to do with it at all! i had fan magazines and would dress up as phantomias and would spent time reading comics with my friends and brother and i would annoy literal strangers into lending me their comics if i so much as sniffed out that they had a collection at home. i also drew and wrote fanart and fanfic, though i never finished anything, my aspirations were too high for my fragile constitution also known as patience and stamina TvT. smth thats STILL a problem tbh. i cant write short stuff yet keeping it up for so long is Hard. anywhomst. i remember looking at the pictures before i learned to read and making up the story in my head so this being my first fandom might not be that far off!!!!!!

her whole life she has a purpose (become warrior nun) that is pretty clear cut yknow? but then someone else takes that purpose. someone who doesnt even understand it, doesnt appreciate it. n it frustrates her n angers her, sure. but it also hurts her. because if ava can have the halo just like that, what was the point of her legacy? if she was supposed to be the warrior nun, why isnt she?

so. no warrior nun. no greater purpose. okay sure. but she can still be of use. she can still fight, be a sister warrior, n begrudgingly help ava be the warrior nun lilith cant be. duretti wants the halo back, any means necessary? yes ofc on it. ava needs training to become the warrior nun n fight alongside her n the others? she's there, resentfully, but shes there, n even almost helps ava when she is stuck in the wall in that one scene. she needs to protect the halo n prevent it from getting taken by the tarasks into hell? she'll sacrifice herself. n thats what fucked her up. because now shes different. now shes *something*. she doesnt understand herself, her new powers, her new abilities. n if she cant help herself, how can she help others? even in s2, where we see her more in her skin in the first ep, it takes one hit to make her go back. she needs help, she needs to understand, she doesnt want to be a mystery, because she might be a dangerous one, n all she wants is to help. to be of use.

n under all that? all that emotional mess, that feeling of having to be doing smth to be worthy of anything? whats that under all that-? ah yes, a want to be loved. its in everything she does, yet she hides/masks it so well. she just wants to do good, she just wants to be loved. she tried to be the warrior nun, knowing or thinking it would earn her her parents love. didnt work, they dont love her. she keeps trying, keeps chasing that goal, keeps moving. but that part of her personality, that ambition above everything else. it drives ppl away. her friends hold her back, mary is fighting her. ava is afraid of her. n even after coming back all lilith can do is try. try to accept her new nature, try n accept this love shes given, but its hard. its hard to be loved when u think u need to earn it. its hard to be loved when u think u havent earned it *yet*. or that u shouldnt be loved. she wants it so bad, but will she believe it when she finally gets what she wants? when she has never gotten it before, not truly or purely?

she thinks love is this bargain almost. if lilith does smth agreeable to that person, they will love her. it makes perfect sense. so even with adriel it was like that. even with all he gave her or whatever, she still gave her loyalty to him. that was smth given, smth taken. only then it makes sense for her i think. she wants so badly to just. *be loved*. but she doesnt get it!! she doesnt get love because she never had it unconditionally from her fucking parents, who should've given her love just for being her parents n lilith their child, they never did that, always held that fucking warrior nun legacy over her, always pushed her into their agendas and NOW?? its all lilith knows. its what she was taught n shown in her formative, growing years, n trying to detangle that while: fighting demons, handling angels, training, meeting expectations that didnt even matter in the end, dying n coming back monstrous, NO ONE including her knowing how to deal with that, etc etc, we all watched the show. trying to make lilith see what love IS or what it SHOULD or COULD be, would be so fucking hard!! AND YET. ITS ALL SHE TRULY FUCKING WANTS!!! FUCK!!!!
