It’s hard sometimes, having a boyfriend who is sometimes gone for weeks at a time. Jesús hesitates to use the word, boyfriend, because they haven’t really put a label on what they’re doing, but… it fits. They text, call most days, and when he’s free Rowdy spends most of his time in Jesús’ room.

But that just makes the distance harder.

Rowdy is out of town for a full month this time. He is travelling down to Texas, visiting his family between a few odd jobs for his boss, and it means they don’t get to talk as much. But Rowdy still texts him good morning and goodnight. It just so happens that sometimes he sends pictures as well. Pictures that Jesús can’t open in public.

Today it’s a picture of Rowdy’s torso, from his hips to his neck, damp and freshly showered if Jesús guessed rightly. A fluffy white towel clings to his hips. It looks almost ready to fall off and Jesús stares a little too long at the tantalising, tempting divots he knows lead to one of the man’s… best features.

The picture is followed quickly by a short message: mornin sweetheart ;)

Jesús lays back on his bed and takes a long, deep breath. He texts back.

Good morning; have a nice shower?

Rowdy takes a full minute to respond, and Jesús nearly drops his phone on his face as the image appears. His boyfriend-not-boyfriend is standing in front of a long mirror, his lips curved in a grin as his free hand reaches into the towel, obviously cupping himself, and Jesús mutters a curse under his breath.

Jesús rakes his eyes over the picture. He takes in every detail; the water droplets clinging to Rowdy’s skin, the dusky peaks of his nipples, the way his biceps look with light and shadow playing on the muscle…

He’d been attracted to Rowdy at first because he was funny, a little goofy, and exuberant. He’d found out not long after that Rowdy was also stunningly beautiful without his clothes on.

Jesús takes another steadying breath and drops one hand, pushes it into his pants and strokes himself slowly.

His heart thumps in his chest, face heating up as a grin takes over his lips. He tips his head back, moves his fingers a little faster, lets the arousal build a little higher as he pictures Rowdy in his mind. Jesús texts back a quick no and moments later the phone is ringing.

“Hey,” Rowdy says, voice a little breathless, and Jesús already knows how this will go.

He puts the phone on speaker, places it on the pillow next to his head and slips his pants down his thighs.

“Hi Rowdy,” he rubs himself in slow circles, breathes slowly through his nose, feels his muscles tense and relax.

“I… I was thinkin’ about you.”

Jesús smiles to himself, fingers moving faster and drawing a gasp from his throat. “Funny… I’m thinking about you right now.”

He hears Rowdy choke out a curse and the telltale thud of wet fabric hitting the floor. “Shit, ‘soos, really? You- are you..?”

Jesús nods and then remembers Rowdy can’t see him. “Yes. Though I’m sure that’s what you wanted me to do, no?”

He listens to the throaty chuckle on the other end of the line and feels his belly tighten. “I guess it is, yeah…” There is the sound of movement, and the chuckle is replaced by a gentle sigh Jesús has come to know well. He knows that Rowdy has taken himself in hand, is stroking his cock, slowly at first as he always does. Rowdy likes to tease. He likes to draw things out until you’re about ready to grab him and throw him down to make him just get on with it.

Jesús groans softly as he finds just the right angle, fingers rubbing and pressing his own cock perfectly. He spreads his knees wider, cants his hips and tightens his muscles.

The image shocks him, sends lightning down his spine, makes him shiver. His gut tightens, thighs shaking as he draws closer to the edge. He pictures it - Rowdy trussed up, laying on the bed like a present just for him, eager and wanton and perfect. Jesús wants it.

“You close? You sound close,” Rowdy asks, “you sound- you sound a certain way when you’re close. So pretty.”

He is close. So close he finishes with a sharp cry at the breathless need in Rowdy’s voice.

“Oh fuck that’s it-”

He hears the moment Rowdy comes and stroked himself through right along with him. Rowdy moans his name, no doubt shivers as he spills in his hand, and Jesús takes a moment to wonder what he’s thinking about.

As they cool down, Jesús wipes his hand on the hem of his shirt.

“I, uh… I do miss you, y’know,” Rowdy says softly.

Jesús feels his heart stop for a moment. “I miss you too.”

“Jesús?”

“Yes, Rowdy?”

“I lo-” A pause, Jesús turns the speaker off his phone and cradles it close to his ear, listens to Rowdy hiss a curse quietly. “I’ll see you soon. Promise.”

The phone cuts out and Jesús wonders if he’s dreamed the whole thing.

to answer your question about liebestraum!! it actually shocked me that somebody remembers it/is asking abt it since the teaser didnt get a lot of attention (which was expected, considering the theme of the fic!!). bUT! yes i did delete the teaser as for now and i didnt add it onto my wip post because i am not actively working on it right now for multiple reasons and that is: i didnt like the direction the plot was going in,,, and while i really loved the theme and vibe of what i had written, i didnt really enjoy the plot if that makes sense ?? i also didnt have it well thought-out and there were a lot of plot holes and i didnt really know how to continue the fic or how i really wanted to end it, to be 100% honest. the fic is still in my docs, tho, if i ever want to come back to it,, which i really do, because i love the innitial idea and the whole theme of the fic, but as of now im focusing on my other works that i feel more joy writing 💕 i cant guarantee anything, but maybe i manage to write it one day?? and if that were to happen, id just have to start over tbh 😭 so who knows. im pretty 50/50 on it rn AHAHA but also i wouldnt wait for it in the near future im sorry :((

when season 12 rolls around we are at the point in Jay's development where he is CONFIDENT in who he is. He's a fun-loving jokester with the power of lightning and the drive to help people whenever he can. He uses jokes and humor to help alleviate tension and get people through whatever's happening. And when on his own what does he do?

BECOME AN ENTERTAINER BABEY

i like to think jay's club in prime empire was a safe haven for anyone stuck in the game who figured out hey. we Can't Leave and felt freaked about it. Also Jay would generally try and spread the word that hey something ISN'T RIGHT HERE which would lead people to want to stay with him

THIS SOMEHOW TURNED INTO PRIME EMPIRE INFODUMPING LMAO ANYWAYS Jay's confident! He becomes an entertainer because it's who he knows he is! And it's something that will get people hyped and having fun, which is very in-character for Jay to do! He uses those kinds of things to mask the Bad Things going on and get people remembering what's good

I've talked about this sort of thing before but that's Jay's whole philosophy as early as season 9! Which is a DIRECT contrast to how he views it in season 6, as Nadakhan puts it scarily accurately

"You make jokes to mask the fact that you're afraid"

(i was gonna grab a screenshot for that like i did with the hunted scene but netflix has bloCKED THE ABILITY TO TAKE SCREENSHOTS THE WAY I USED TO and i don't have them already and i'm too lazy to grab them from elsewhere so alas trust me he says it)

making jokes to hide your fear and using humor to remind yourself of what's good and coping with the bad are two VERY different outlooks on it

so I think this outlook is what drives him to make this glamrock persona in the first place - this is a bad situation, one he's in with other civilians, and what better way to keep him and themself safe until the others get there than throwing a big performance at a safe place!

also it's just so gender okay I want to look like Superstar Rockin' Jay so badly

it's also interesting to see his outlook on his parents change over time! In season six he finds out Ed and Edna aren't his birth parents and feels upset about it, not understanding why his birth parents would've abandoned him. In season twelve, that outlook changing is EXACTLY why Jay's able to get through to Unagami

"I was abandoned by my parents, too!... I never understood why, and I never had the chance to even ask. But I always hoped there was a good reason. What if there's a reason?"

(again curse you netflix i wanted SCREENSHOTS whatever whatever)

It's this scene that gets Unagami to calm down long enough for Milton Dyer to get there, and presumably is what stops him from just. Flattening him and Jay like a pancake.

to piggyback off of this i absolutely adore how Unagami and Jay consider each other adopted brothers in that one book I still haven't read and I hope he's in Dragons Rising at some point Unagami is my favorite "villain" (no longer a villain) in the whole show he deserves more screentime

like this is where i found out about this and it's plagued my mind ever since. i need to read. this book just for them

SO YEA OKAY Prime Empire is "Who is Jay as a Person Post-Skybound" to me also it opens up so many fascinating things about Jay. I rest my case

so backpedaling a little bit. JAY CARES SO MUCH ABOUT HIS PARENTS GUYS IT'S SO SOFT AND I'M sobs

like yea the first episode with Ed and Edna in it has Jay avoiding them like the plague but this gets explained very easily when you remember he was bullied for his home life before he became a ninja. It makes a lot more sense why he wouldn't want them around his new friends, assuming they'd react the same way. Also how was he supposed to know literally all the rest of the groups parents were either dead, presumed dead, or had a toxic relationship with their kid lmao

(Cole calling his mom kills me. Cole's mom is dead. I know they probably just didn't think that far ahead when writing the dialogue but it's so funny mans pretended to call his dead mom to get on Jay for not appreciating his parents iconic behavior)

anyways literally every episode Ed and Edna are central to (except like the one in skybound) Jay stops at nothing to protect his parents and it means the absolute world to me he's so much like them!! They raised an inventive little nerd and he will stop at nothing to make sure they're safe and it's. It's SO IMPORTANT TO ME OKAY

ALSO this is an excuse to clip my favorite piece of dialogue possibly in the entire show. Except Netflix won't let me now. So you just get the text dialogue

LMFAOOO I guess to dive right in, one of my fave personal Todoroki headcanons is that he LOVES being on the phone with you

Whether you're actually speaking to him about something important or just breathing into the receiver, he's paying attention

Which is funny because even when you're not talking to him... if you don't put the phone on speaker, he's getting real close to you just so he can hear what's being said...

Also does the: *mouths* "who is that?" or asks the literal second you hang up when you're talking to someone else...

(Your friends are like" "y/n... is that Todoroki in the background?"

At the same time, though, he can't use facetime for the life of him. He really does try, but it just goes super terribly because he literally isn't able to sit or hold the phone still and talk at the same time

Though it's more: "why would we video call when I could just come over?" except he literally means it...

(So stick to voice calls unless he's away on missions LOL)

And while I definitely think Todoroki is soft (and especially with you), we can't forget he's also super... headstrong, too

He's the boyfriend who does not shy away from (politely) sending back a wrong order or asking for extra napkins or something

when i first played bully, which was two years ago, it was me revisiting it YEARS after i first discovered it as a young kid, and so i actually knew what shipping was lol. the first ship that came to mind for me was petey/gary, and while that is def popular in its own regard, it really surprised me to see how crazy people were for smopkins.

there's nothing wrong with the ship, i think a lot of art for it is cute (i have a good amount saved), and the fics certainly pack some emotion, but it just didn't click with me, and it never will lmao. and i think some people are too crazy about it, but that goes for ships in every fandom.

other than that, i don't really care for gord/vance. i did at some point, but i'm a jimmy/gord guy myself lol. it's still soooo so cute though.

well, obviously i like bully a whole lot LMAOO. there's a lot of freedom with the amount of side characters rockstar filled the game with, and they all have a surprising amount of personality put into them. there are endless situations to put all of them in with the small amount we've been given, and often this fandom just doesn't take advantage of it lol

other than bully though, i'm casually into borderlands and i used to have a haikyuu phase, so i check up on those two fandoms occasionally. i also LOVEEEEE the karate kid trilogy and watch the show that's out now (i have my gripes with it but whatever smh). i also like checking up on the rpg ib and one punch man every now and then. oooh and i can't forget detroit: become human.

Okay so I don't actually have many writing works Started save for one, so I can probably just talk about AUs or things I have planned to write instead? Just maybe in not too much detail so as to not psych myself out of actually writing them. LMAO

1. The Way To His Heart Is Through His Stomach, Oh God Please Don’t Eat Me: This doesn’t actually have a title yet but fuck it, may as well be that. Wen Chao ends up in a funky place simply known as The Afterlife, where Qi Rong has been moping endlessly as he waits for the day he can see Guzi again. The two cross paths and a cozy slice of life adventure begins in which Qi Rong incessantly tries to lure Wen Chao back home so he can eat him, but Wen Chao is convinced he wants to pursue him romantically. 19k words already written of this fucking thing, which features me trying to build a tiny world, including making characters specifically for this. Hopefully it’ll be done by Halloween, and yes, it’ll be shippy (and have smut. Which I do not include in my work often so do not expect much GJSHJJJSHJ)

2. Su She, Fixer of Everything: This’ll be my next big project after the one above, and it’s entirely born out of me running gags into the ground. The gag in question this time is, of course, Su She is Jiang Cheng and Wen Chao’s child. Yes, I am writing a fic of it. Yes, it’s going to be fucking great, trust me. He wakes up one day and both his parents are gone and he needs to figure out how to get them back. He is not ready for what he’s going to learn about them as he does this.

3. Revival AU: There will be a written instalment longer than the one it already has, dealing with Xue Yang’s ultimate goal in summoning who was originally meant to be Wen Zhuliu. It’ll mark a sort of end in the series, or at least a break from the main storyline (yes it has a storyline SHH). Check out what I’ve posted of it over on @xuechao ! 

4. The Winds of Winter Vampire Songxiao Trilogy: Alongside the wonderfully talented @aoxue who I have sold my soul to. We’ve teased some stuff to you guys already so I might not go into TOO much detail about it, but really, how much detail do you NEED? It’s Songxiao and they’re vampires. We are planning this out carefully so it may not see the light of day (in true vampire fashion) for a while, but all good things take time, and nothing is stopping us from making shitposts of it in the meantime! I am really excited and thrilled to have such an awesome co-parent to this AU, it’s got me bouncing off the walls and we have done SO MUCH PLANNING............

There is a tentative 5 which is the Songxiao Modern Adoption AU: Wary of writing this one still though I adore the concept to pieces and I’ve posted several art instalments of it. I’d feel more comfortable tackling this one with the help of someone who Knows More than I do, because even if I do a bunch of research (which I am doing) I’m still scared of messing up sdkfgksg

i watched spirited away in the start of this week, it was so good thank you for recommending it to me! it all truly is about togetherness isn't it? be it human world or spirit world i liked how no face was portrayed, he wasn't doing anything until chihiro noticed his existence, once he got the taste of being noticed he wanted more of it but everyone else has always ignored him so he tried a different approach by giving them what they wanted. like he wasn't some bad guy he was just tired of existing with no one acknowledging him but then chihiro and others go to visit the other twin sister and she treats him the same way she treats her other guests in her house after that he didn't act up or something. i really liked that. i also loved chihiro's bravery and her friendship with haku it was so sweet :') one thing i don't understand is that why or how haku got roped into being yubaba's right-hand person? it was mentioned the river was destroyed and apartments were made on it so doesn't it make him an official spirit? it's a realm where spirits come to rest and enjoy after dwording so jdjsksl idk i keep thinking about this a little too hard

Ahh it must be quite devasting right?:( like you’ve suddenly been thrown into a nightmare and everything feels so so foreign and frustrating. There’s no guarantee if you’ll ever be able to go to your country/home back and I picture you feeling so lonely. *pats on the shoulder* please stay strong. And keep working towards finding a new home, focusing on jobs for now. Life sometimes gets so unpredictable and it feels like everything’s over and you’ve lost, but a bad turn doesn’t mean you’ve hit a dead end. New doors always open and it’s very tough at the start but later on, you will reach a beautiful destination I promise. 💓 and I am literally an enfj too? My personality is a mix of ENFJ and ENFP. So I understand what you’re talking about. We’re very loyal and people’s person and that’s why it easily affects us when we’re not kindly treated by those around us. And getting other’s people approval/acknowledgment makes us feel so valid. But truth is, I adjusted myself to the reality of this world long time back. Not everyone is gonna be nice to you or be grateful to you no matter how nice you are to them or how much you help them. It’s some people’s nature. That doesn’t mean you have to stop being a nice and kind person to everyone around you. Just try to give without expecting anything in return ok? That’s how I’ve trained my mindset and I’m able to be happy now no matter what. As for the validation thing, I am not a confident person either and I have high self doubts and anxiety. I feel like I’m not good enough in a lot of cases and I often seek approval from others around me BUT I have changed that (and am still trying to) I have decided to be my own cheerleader. I tell myself that I’m worth it, I’m doing my best, I am enough etc. I find my spirits and acknowledgement from ME MYSELF. Bc think of it this way. No one knows your efforts more than you or god, so why do u let others who haven’t seen how hard you tried tell u that you’re bad/good at something? Don’t give anyone that right. To hold authority over how you feel about yourself my love. 💞 and don’t criticise yourself for being this way. There’s nothing wrong in yearning for others’ affection or approval or attention. Human beings were always created to be with eachother, no human being can exist alone. It’s how we were made by default.

And yes I did name my niece haha her name was decided even before she was born😆! Ill show u all the books directly when they arrive- reading books give me all this maturity since they’re always about young adult/slice of life/romance. Binge read books, Netflix dramas and animes, watch kpop comebacks and ofc go out with my best friend! 👯💞 I am friendly with almost everyone but I have only one best friend! Piece of advice to you: be friendly and nice with everyone but let only a few people get close to your heart.
