WANDAVISION DEEP DIVE part 1

After managing to keep away from social media for almost two months, here comes Agatha All Along sucking me back in 🙃 I want to rewatch the whole thing and see how many details I can catch, but I guess I might as well go through Agatha's scenes in Wandavision first. and you guys are coming with me!! we can all hyperfixate together (spoilers from both WV and AAA below. this is going to be just a stream of consciousness as I go through scenes, don't expect anything elaborate)

SO.

Agatha arrives in Westview attracted by Wanda's Hex. She might already suspect she's dealing with the Scarlet Witch because lbr, who has that sort of power? She takes a calculated risk to come investigate (detective Agnes of Westview on the case!) It's funny that her calculated risks are always way more emotional than she'd admit, because who in their right mind comes after the SW? But all that power is too alluring, so Agatha takes possession of Ralph's house, ruins the market value adding a creepy basement and brainwashes him into being her husband/minion/pet.

And now it's time to do what she does best, con artist is gonna con! I adore that Agatha became one of the most infamous witches in history thanks mostly to her improv skills.

She's a magical gal is a small time locale!! he's a husband who's part machiiiiiine (great now it'll get stuck in my head again)

worth nothing that both witches and androids have historically and culturally been used as queer allegories, and here's a very sapphic witch pretending to be a straight 1950s housewife and another witch who's got an elaborate fantasy going on where her husband is able to pass and all their problems are sitcom-level fixable.

How to solve the Hex mystery according to Agatha Harkness:

step #1, casually fish for personal info

step #2, flirt with your suspect (obviously)

she literally asks if Wanda's single ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

AGATHA

she's lying it on soooo thick

she dropped that pot so deliberately LMAOO stinky chaotic goblin

knowing she' s being an asshole on purpose makes this scene 100 times funnier tbh

(also a moment of silence for Sharon's irreparable trauma. her last words will be "Wanda, I'm begging you, let him breathe, please")

episode 2: Agatha keeps being a menace

And knowing now that she's always playing a part and her real personality is much more emo makes it easier to spot when she slips out of character

"was that too much? might rein it down a lil bit" (btw I'm still suspicious of Dennis the mailman and totally expect a big reveal in Westview season 3)

I'm betting that this was Agatha rather than Agnes too. she's so miserable lol. she hates playing this part so much. and that wig is hideous

not Agatha casually planting the idea of children in Wanda's head. She probably was the one making people chant "for the children" too. literally manipulating Wanda into showing her if she can create life, calculated risk my ass, she's out here playing with fire

(does that mean that Agatha is a liiiiiiitle bit Billy's and Tommy's parent too?? she planTED the sEED. hear me OUT.)

you know she was dead inside at having to sit through the whole talent show. she probably took it out on the contestants and made them trip onstage or something

Episode 3 of pappappa pappappa wandavision!

Agatha helping Wanda to pick baby clothes, I'm going to sob. (look at this technicolor filter! modern shows CAN color their shit! it's just that they'd rather make everything look like muddy ass instead)

not much from Agatha this episode except scheming to get Monica kicked out of the Hex, seeing as she's the biggest obstacle between herself and Wanda ('s powers). Also you know she was stalking the house to keep track of when the babies were born. Also also, the painted scenery! Like mother like son, it's such a big hint about the nature of the Road.

look at this piece of shit, I love her so much. And she does tend to wink when she's just told a truly egregious lie, doesn't she? it's like her little signature.

Agatha in episode 5 coming in like: LEMME SEE THOSE BABIESSSSSSS

kathryn hahn with 80s curls is doing something to me, let me tell you

so manipulative, in so many ways. and knowing what we know now about Agatha and children, imagine the turmoil inside of her!! triumph at having confirmation of Wanda's life-giving powers. nervousness about the mess she's putting herself in. exasperation at having to keep up the charade. and, most importantly, getting to HOLD A BABY BOY AFTER ALL THIS TIME (amazing, terrifying, traumatic, wonderful)

what is she doiiiing. this bitch, I swear.

OH MY GAWD I FORGOT WANDA SAID THIS. "so she keeps coming at me like a cat in heat, that's not her fault Vision, she has a Medical Condition"

"kids. can't control them. no matter how hard you try"??????? the suddenly wistful voice?????????????????????? why don't I fling myself off a cliff?????????????????? was this woman actually honestly dying inside while still having to play pretend, I can't, I cannot. And how much of Agatha's backstory was decided at this point, was Kathryn given a general idea?

Agatha and Billy, partners in crime already! Seriously, Jac Schaeffer must have had an idea of where this was going. And it's obvious in retrospect that Agatha would be drawn to Billy the most, he's a witch unlike Tommy and he's such a polite, sweet little fellow, he probably reminded her of Nicky so much?? Here's this scary dangerous witch who on one side is planning to murder everyone in the room, and on the other is fighting back the urge to go full mama bear on this kid and protect and cherish him forever. This is not what she signed up for when she decided to stalk Wanda!

She is so horrible. She is despicable. I'm allowed to say it because I love her so much! I can't remember, was it revealed that she turned a fly into a dog or something? Or did she kidnap a dog dog from a shelter / someone's garden and then stone cold killed him? No, wait, she made Ralph kill him. Do your own killing of cute innocent little creatures, you coward! Love that vest tho.

"Fix the dead!" "You can do that?" And of course she's pretending here but you know that's EXACTLY what this whole sordid Sparky affair was about, she's testing and prodding at Wanda's powers, trying to figure out her limits. There's an eagerness here that she doesn't need to fake. Who knows, maybe she was actually squeamish about killing the dog (she does have a cuddly bunny and woves him vewy much), hence why Ralph had to do it. But more importantly even if she didn't like killing a pet, even if she wasn't happy about traumatizing these kids - that's exactly what she's doing here, she's willingly hurting two children - she went and did it anyway, because her thirst for Wanda's powers is too big. She kills witches out of anger, out of fear and self-preservation. She is ultimately a selfish person, and that is what makes her a villain. It's not that she doesn't have feelings. She has plenty of feelings, she has a conscience, and she chooses to do the bad thing anyway.

"And we can't reverse death. No matter how sad it makes us. Okay? Some things are forever." These two shows above all else are about grief. You can peel this scene and find more and more layers, it was about the kids losing Sparky at first but also about Wanda losing Pietro, Wanda losing Vision, Wanda losing the kids. And it's also, DEFINITELY about Agatha losing Nicky. I need a drink.

What alternative subcultures the Creepypastas would be in!!(pt 1)

This was an ask I accidentally deleted! Oops! I also listen to all the music I put in here! So it’s also a small glimpse into what I listen to! Also as some of you know I’m in the scemo and goth subcultures! But I know a lot about alternative cultures period so this was fun to make!

LJ: VICTORIAN GOTH 100%!! / Victorian Circus Core

I mean he’s literally from that era

The feathered shaw, the black and white color scheme, the black lipstick and guy liner with the pale white face!!

Literally a goth king. That’s an outfit I would definitely see at a goth club!(I’ve been to many)

Another part of goth culture is liking horror/ monsters. Since LJ is a monster he’d fit right in!

He’d be accepted by most goths despite his looks bc goths have morbid dark fashion senses themselves!

So if they saw his swirly cone nose and sharp teeth they’d be like: omg! I love your look!

He’d definitely listen to classical music and other goth music Specifically Switchblade symphony and Cocteau Twins

He definitely listens to old PATD

I can see him wearing other Victorian inspired clothes too!

Like dis:

Jeff: Metalhead/ with 90s emo(for nostalgia.)

I mean look at him

He’d definitely shit on nu metal and still listen to it

Victorian goth as well, but she leans more in the gothic Lolita side of it

Wears pretty gothic Lolita dresses with lots of black and white lace, buttons and she’ll have a matching bonnet and parasol to match when she’s feeling extra fancy!

She feels so elegant and feminine when she puts her multiple layers of petticoats on! She wouldn’t be caught dead without them!

Her makeup and lipstick is always perfect.

Her hair is always either perfectly curled or perfectly straightened

The goal is to look as doll like as possible ( also because she is one!)

She listens to music box like music if that makes sense?? For example Swan Lake by Fairy Lullaby or Porcelain Eyes

She, like LJ listens to classical music and goth music

But mainly classical and music box!

Will go to tea parties and knows how to make tea cakes and sandwiches

Just a lady all around!

Jane: Trad Goth/ Casual Goth/ Amy Lee

Since Jane is always on the move and doesn’t really have time to get all dressed up

So she’ll usually be in a simple black dress or black pants and a turtleneck

But when she does get a chance to dress up

She dresses trad goth mixed with Amy Lee

She’ll have her hair long with bangs covering her forehead

Trad goth makeup, but a bit more modern,big eyeliner and arched brows

She’ll be wearing corsets and waist trainers

Long skirts, ripped leggings

High heel platforms

She goes all out and she looks great!

Listens to music like The Cure, Siouxsie and the Banshees, New Years Day and The Birthday Massacre

Can do goth dances very well

God she’s beautiful

Toby: Midwestern Emo/ early 2000s emo/ a tad grunge/ indie

He just looks like one tbh

But seriously he had a hard life and emo music gives him comfort

Toby wears flannel shirts, grandpa sweaters, simple tee shirts and pants that are loose but not too loose

Hiking boots, sneakers

He listens to Chidos, The Front Bottoms, State Champs, Real Friends, Nirvana, Yawning, Hail the Sun, The Used, A Lot Like Birds, Static Dress, Mild High Club and many many more

He can play the guitar, drums and sing pretty well

He needed something to keep him busy while he was homeschooled after all! And it took his mind off of the horrible things he was going through

Plus with him feeling no pain, he could practice his hands bleed so his hands are really calloused

He likes to sit in the woods and just listen to music sometimes

He’s a loner like that

Especially in the fall when the leaves are so pretty

He feels almost peaceful. Almost

EJ: Tbh I can’t put him in a single box I feel like he’d be everything

He’ll listen to whatever whenever

Except religious music it freaks him out

Ya know because of the cult that took his eyes

But I see him liking dark ,dreamy music if that makes sense

His taste actually lines up with Toby’s pretty well

Static dress, MGMT, YKWIM by Yot Club, Homage by the Mild High club, My Bloody Valentine, Grouper

Also anything with sad guitars like wish by sign crushes motorist (Toby likes music like this too)

Sometimes even lo-fi if he has to unwind

Jack wears all black most of the time. Just so he doesn’t look too dirty

Black hoodie, black shirt, black pants, black shoes

He also feels like any other color won’t go with his now grey skin

But yeah EJ is just a dude with a wide music taste

We love that for him

Nina: Obviously Scene+Emo= scemo

Do I even have to explain?

She listens to Pierce the Veil, Sleeping with Sirens, Bring Me the Horizon, Paramore, AFI, FOB, Get Scared, Hey Monday, MCR, Ghosttown, Millionaires, Brokencyde, Medic Driod, Dot Dot Curve, A Skylight Drive, ISMFOF ,everything Toby listens too as well(and many more)

Nina wears either all black with colorful hair or has her signature black and pink with more colorful outfits

Cheeta print, skulls, DIY stuff, band shirts, tube tops, tutus, skinny jeans, brass knuckle necklaces, hoop earrings, black eyeshadow, big teased hair with raccoon tails

Yeah she’s 2000s emo fs

Goes to raves and concerts like crazy

But she’s not opposed to any kind of music and will do goth makeup for fun

And wear Jane’s clothes

She thinks goth is really pretty but it’s just not her

She’ll stick with scemo lol

Jason The Toymaker: Steampunk/ Victorian Circus Core

The copper in his clothes

The bright red hair

The long flowing jacket with intimate details

Yeah he’s definitely steam punk

Im not sure what kind of music steampunks listen to but I’d like to know!

Jason definitely listens to Emilie Autumn and old PATD

Hot take: Toxinelle's design for the most part isnt as great as everyone makes it out to be, much less it being groundbreaking or the best emo design, since it's barely anything new at all:

it's just her head that's amazingly designed and the fact that Ladybug's regular suit honestly couldn't set the bar any lower.

Griffe Noire on the other hand is actually punk through and through. Not giving a single shit what you think of his look and being the punkest bitch by even going with a feminine-coded name in the french original bc he doesn't care about your single-minded bs when you for some reason automatically think he MUST be female just because he has two "e"s in his name:

One of these two got one hell of a save design where barely a single risk was taken so she remains universally pretty for every viewer

And the other one actually was allowed to embody a whole new fashion style and life style, that fits perfectly as an extension of his OG character, merely things went south.

In my opinion there is no competition who got the better character design.

It's the one that actually does something for the character besides looking pretty, cool and being inoffensively save.

I'll give you a hint: it ain't Toxinelle.

Just to clarify this, I'm not saying I fell out of love for Toxinelle's design to be a b*tch. I'm saying it from the stands of me wanting the show to put the same amount on effort into Marinette's designs as Adrien's.

Griffe Noire is allowed to be straight up punk and yet the most I can give Toxinelle is that her design is Gothic-INSPIRED:

Again, her head is the most well designed part and especially the mask going underneath her chin, the amazing hair style and the conveniently fitting red-black color scheme works perfectly for Gothic.

As are her already incorporated gloves, the fact that she's wearing a mask in the first place and her dark makeup. Especially her vampire red eyes (like Monarque Bug, I love that detail) and I'll also give credit to how the upper red part of her body suit looks like a sleeveless dress and the little Ladybug symbol looking like a necklace.

All that combiened with her overall Gothic-elegance shows how AMAZING Toxinelle could have looked if they had for once taken an actual risk with her and prioritized what the fashion style is actually supposed to be over her looking universally pretty for every viewer.

I'm being nitpicky here because of how frustrating I find it that Griffe Noire has such a phenomenal character design, straight up one of the best in the show, and yet Marinette is still stuck with the same one-layer body suits a la "just this time the stripes go to the left"

Character design is not decided by if EVERYONE thinks they look great. The priority is what the character design does for the character. It's visual story telling.

I personally dress much more like Juleka or Emo Marinette in real life and yet in my opinion it's still crystal clear that Rose as Pigella has one of the best hero character designs because of how unapologetically ROSE it is:

I personally don't have to want to wear it or even like it at all to think it's one of the best ones because of the simple fact that this design embodies Rose's PERSONALITY (as does her whole transformation) and tells me more about her.

Especially in direct comparison with Griffe Noire, or even civilian emo Adrien probably wearing his dead mother's jacket while Adrien HAS TO keep dressing more low-key, Toxinelle barely tells me a thing about this Marinette's personality besides "slay Queen"

Because there IS no personality. The most you can get out of this is her being even more uptight and closed off because of how her collar directly blends into her mask, keeping her in a visual choke hold.

But that's mostly it. For Griffe Noire they explicitly went with punk fashion, meaning everything punk stands for can now be put into new context with Adrien.

But Toxinelle barely embodies a fashion style, she's just Gothic-INSPIRED (at most). And that's such a shame because Gothic, especially if you wanna use it in a darker way, was a PERFECT fashion style to utilize here.

The most common Gothic styles are inspired by Victorian funeral wear and give off an aura of authority, seriousness and melancholic detachment, being kept in the past (this is in no way meant as generalization, fashion is complex)

In what reality COULDN'T we have gone with that for Toxinelle? She would have been the perfect complimentary style for Griffe Noire by her side.

And we don't even need to go with a dress. Gothic women wear pants too:

Can you imagine how amazing she could have looked as an actual goth? How much visual story telling through FASHION they could have put into her design when the evil Ladybug is a vampire goth whose fashion is inspired by funeral wear??

Yes, I AM pissed.

COCO’S REVIEW: RAMSHACKLE (PILOT)

Welcome to Coco’s Review! Where I review and breakdown episodes, movies and etc and overthink every tiny detail and/or give my thoughts and opinions :D

Today I’ll be discussing Ramshackle by Zeddyzi

Ramshackle is an animated pilot by online creator Zeddyzi that’s been in development since 2010 and has a thesis film, webtoon and now an animated pilot! (I’ll be discussing the Pilot)

It’s about three street rats Vinnie, Stone and Skipp who try to survive the grimy and gross streets of Ramshackle with their various scams and schemes while trying not to die!

The animation is really good! The characters have very expressive faces and sharp silhouettes! All the designs feel so angular and have a very warm color palette! Not to mention there’s the sorta coffee paper or brown paper texture to it that I really like!!

And it takes what Disney did during their Bronze Age with the scribbly line art and that scratchy kinda feel. (even using crosshatching)

I also find it interesting how the town of Ramshackle is set in its own universe and not sticking to a specific timeline with its mix of different vintage aesthetics mixed together! (in the creator’s words)

To me it feels a lot like a mix of the Great Depression and the Victorian Era!

The humor is a lovechild of early season Spongebob and Gravity Falls! Because this pilot is so fucking funny for no reason 😭

It just has so much visual comedy and dialogue that makes you go “Did I hear that correctly??”

I’ll be honest the plot isn’t perfect but the characters and humor easily makes up for it and makes things very enjoyable!! THE LITTLE DETAILS THEY PUT IN THE BACKGROUND JUST CRACK ME UP WITH EVERY REWATCH!

These are some of my personal favorite details but it’s more fun to spot them yourself!!

I also want to talk about Maggot who is a baby the trio found and decided to try and raise!

I’m not going to spoil the ending BUT MAGGOT IS ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!

I love how they didn’t go with just the dumb baby trope with Maggot- I swear he is such an entertaining part of the pilot I’m a little sad he probably won’t appear in the series again 😔

And just the comedy they got out of him is so great I love him smm

The main trio are just as entertaining!

They complement each other so well!! The way they bounce off each other and have very different personalities but the same goals

I’ll get this out of the way VINNIE IS SO DAMN HOT ARGHHH LIKE AAAAA I LOVE HER SMM- Shes so badass and lowkey reminds me of Grunkle Stan personality wise

Stone is basically the mandatory emo boy but now hes upgraded to main character- I love his unlimited supply of alcoholic drinks and I hope tumblr loves him

Skipp is just underrated imo 😭 I love how he has a heart of gold but he also doesnt mind scamming people (he has no other choice anyway

The way theyre so caring with Maggot just warms my heart<33

THEYRE SUCH A GREAT FRIEND GROUP I CANTTT

Anyway there are only a few complaints I have- some of the jokes can be hit or miss and it gets a bit chaotic which can possibly be a little overwhelming. Bug I want to talk about the “scam” aspect of the main premise, I feel like the webtoon explored that part of the trio’s lives much better than the pilot. They could’ve done a lot of interesting scams with a baby but applying him to a baby pageant isn’t really a scam.

The obvious commentary on the high class’s treatment of the lower class feels a bit on the nose in my opinion (like it feels almost too obvious) but doesn’t spoil the experience. Like I said the humor and character still make up for it!!

I highly recommend this pilot and series!!

Congrats to Zeddyzi and their team for bringing this year long project to life!

My share of ‘poorly describing my favorite musicals’

It’s like if you put drugs in your tap shoes, time traveled to the late 1500s, and made an omelette. Also Shakespeare is emo, relatable, and the main villain.

wait this isn’t just the story of a throuple in 1920s Hollywood with mlm wlw hostility and a whopping total of Three Sane Characters?

this musical has given me urges to hop on the first staircase I see and preform The Scene™️ as both characters in it. I cry.

why. why. whyyyyyyy is my favorite character in it the barista that is in it for ten minutes, is the worst bitch you’ve ever met, and then dies. I am so glad she got expanded upon in nightmare time or else there would literally be zero content for her

i want you to listen to me VERY CAREFULLY. Y’know, number one on this list? I want you to take those drugs out of those tap shoes and put them into a black and white color scheme. Y’know those three sane characters in number two? I want you to take them here, and murder them (bring them back as ghosts tho) Do y’rememebr the “I cry” in number three? Put that into our climax number that’s somewhat of a reprise of the main character’s I want song but not really. How about the “is in it for ten minutes, is the worst bitch you’ve ever met, then dies” in number four? Apply that to a mother. Now. Stir all of our ingredients together with added banger music, and more drugs (preferably of different variety from the ones previously in the tap shoes)

my little baby...vowel...

in their first iteration, they were like. childhood friends-to-lovers with amarie and they tragically died after being forced to become part of legion zero. i did really like their storyline at the time but i'm very glad i changed it since.

i changed their pronouns from she/they to they/them bc i wanted to make it easier to juggle between referring to them and amarie (who only uses she/her). but now i also ship them with tanlorin who also uses they/them, so i guess that doesn't matter anymore 🤡

their old color scheme used to be yellow, black, and gold before i just changed it to neutral colors. i do still use it for their noble/battlespire looks though (not counting their uniform).

their uncle martus was the closest thing they had to a parental figure who actually cared about them, but their relationship was still incredibly strained at the battlespire. to illustrate, tan's complicated relationship with their mother is more or less how val feels about martus. (with val's own mother, victoria, they absolutely hate her and want nothing to do with her. it's much less nuanced.)

they were born and raised in cheydinhal, but moved to the imperial city for a couple of years before they got into the battlespire. i like to think that maybe they and amarie (before she transitioned) met once in that time period, but nothing beyond that.

their worst fear is becoming like their mother. it's why they took so long to tell amarie that they want to have children with her.

this is more about tanlorin, but i like to think that when they see val and amarie together for the first time, they can really feel how much those two care about each other. idk. like getting hit with a truck but it's made of love and affection.

some of their character inspos are: corky from bound (though that goes for almost all my butch ocs 😭), heather chandler, regina george, and ginger fitzgerald. the latter three are more for battlespire!val though.

i don't want to outright say they are, but i guess you could call them bipolar? i honestly wasn't intending that at first, but i mean. their battlespire playlist does have a lot of them oscillating between being full of themself and of them being depressed/angry about their life. i guess it comes from their lore being heavily inspired by halsey's music :')

i like to think that in a modern au, they'd be a closet emo kid in their teen years/early 20s. like in public they'd still be dressing like the rich ""girl"" they are, but whenever they're alone they'd try teasing their hair or putting on black eyeliner and eyeshadow. they'd be too terrified to dye their hair black, though (even temporarily).

Hey, how's it going? If you don't mind answering, how's the system constructed? Who's in there? If you do mind answering, what's your favourite colour?

It’s myself (Krys, she/her), Junko (Junko fictive, she/her), Zaedel (my twin since we formed at the same time for bad prolonged trauma reasons, he/him), Cherry (he/she and don’t consistently use one, bigender little who takes after the original host in some ways but is a more idealized version, mentally 8-10), and Val (she/her, oldest one here, grew up with the original host but Zaedel and I only became aware of her much later on because historically she existed for “we need to be a vicious feral beast to match the energy of the family screaming matches and whatnot” reasons, but has been rehabilitating you could say).

Headspace-wise, I just look how I look with maximum effort. Zaedel meanwhile has our dad’s olive skin tone (lifelong outdoor loving and working Sicilian man), stubble to a short beard, long black hair, and black molting angel wings. And usually a leather jacket. Junko’s mostly canon, just the clothing tends to be more early 2010s emo girl. Fishnet tops and a bra or shirt where the sleeves and neck are cut out and the back is sliced up, ripped skinny jeans, docs or converse, a black/red/danganronpa blood pink color scheme.

Cherry is an androgynous, pale, heavily freckled boygirl with long brown hair and brown eyes, usually a black tanktop, shorts, and flip flops. And Val looks like a cross between the HL2 rotting corpse with the real corpse face and Samara from The Ring if she was actually depicted as a waterlogged corpse that’s been sitting there for a week or two (we had unrestricted internet access starting in the 2000s, we have quite the frame of reference).

Zaedel and I formed in tandem with the death of the original host. Originally, he held all the trauma memories from before we formed and I had near-total amnesia. He also spent a few years trying to get me to kill ourselves because he couldn’t take control of the body over it. LSD changed us and our dynamic, and also caused a slowly rising amount of access to the memories for me.

Val we didn’t really realize was a headmate until more recently because of her purely utilitarian fronting and lack of communication, but once we started talking it became clear she was the first one to form. The original host was extremely timid and shy and nervous, which didn’t really work for the environment we grew up in. So Val was the fighter.

Cherry and Junko both broke off of me. Cherry started out as my littlespace, but more and more life stress and stuff eventually snapped him off entirely and made her his own thing.

Junko meanwhile is a mix of causal factors. One, writing hundreds of thousands of words of fic in the 2010s with my method. Which is “I just place these semi-independent thoughtforms of characters in a situation with a little bit of scripting and prose-journal what happens”. Two, strengthening that with constant listening to a playlist build around her for years. Three, more LSD, which led to our first direct conversation enabled by a poster of her (the Egirl Junko art by JunkoEXE). Four, yet more psychological trauma. What finally led to her permanently emerging was me accidentally getting triggered and restoring my earliest CSA trauma memories, which broke me pretty bad. Like… I thought it began way later than that. She took on pieces that broke off of me when that happened and it finished her.

Name-wise, I stole mine from an emo girl I knew in high school. Zaedel thought up his after a few years with a mix of “it needs to have the right mouthfeel and also needs to end in -el”. Cherry got hers from a friend of ours. Junko is Junko, that’s just her name. And Val is short for Valerie and is a nerdy joke about her being our “evil side”. It’s a feminine name play on “Valeyard”.

And also, my favorite color is purple. Junko’s is anything in the red/magenta/pink spectrum. Zaedel is black. Cherry really likes green and blue. Val is the sorts of purples you get from bruising and discoloration on a corpse.

omg!! i'm so sorry it literally takes like 4 business days for me to reply to stuff x_x favorite characters like of all time? this is an impossible question to answer 😩

i have too many and one simply cannot choose just one character from any show to pick as a favorite ugh. i guess i can start with the main shows my blog consists of/the shows that have a lot of different kinds of characters (each one has at least 4 omg 😭)

demon slayer

rengoku (the literal love of my life, the one who started it all, the main reason i got into anime, the cure to my depression at one point?? i get emotional just thinking about him sometimes. i go back and listen to the mugen train soundtrack just to hurt my own feelings)

shinobu (🦋 [can't add my blog tag for her cause it's an emoji but she has some of the prettiest fanart ever], gorgeous character design, color scheme, overall aesthetic, classy. she deserved more out of her life than being in a constant state of anger 😭)

inosuke (i have no tag for him but he is my fav from the main squad. he is chaotic as hell and caveman-ish in the most hilarious ways. his pretty face makes it that much more ironic)

nezuko (the cutest baddie ever. so pretty. protective of tanjiro and comrades. how can you not love her)

zenitsu (his cowardice is actually really relatable. his expressions are sooo funny in the show they've got to be one of the best)

obamitsu (i love them so much individually, i love them so much together, i literally love them so much. literally black cat and golden retriever energy in the best ways. the last episode with iguro's jealousy was so funny and such a treat omg)

jujutsu kaisen

the main trio's dynamic (i enjoy them all as individuals, but when they're together the silly antics and the chaos that ensues is so dear to me. gege was so wrong for what he did to each of them. if i ever see him it's on sight)

nanami (my man, her man, everyone and their mom's man...! literally impossible to not like him. the miserable corporate life is just so relatable. but the fact that he's still such a good man at the end of the day and wants to protect the children ;-; WHERE are the men like him irl 😭 i will never forgive gege for what he did to him,,, gege,.., when i cATcH you gege.,.,..)

ino (my ABSOLUTE FAV underrated man?? his skater boy aesthetic makes me wEAK!! and correct me if i'm wrong but he just gives off major himbo energy. he's such a puppy, i love him so much 🥺 also fun fact i met his VA, who also voices tanaka from haikyuu [i don't think i will ever shut up about this])

gojo (for obvious reasons. handsome, funny, good at everything. at the same time he cares so much for the youngins it's really touching. but also he's just so unserious about everything i wish i had even an ounce of his confidence fr. an uncontested king, he deserved better 😭)

geto (oh geto (be forewarned: only depression posts in this tag). it hurt me so bad to see his descent into madness. i think his story and especially his relationship with gojo is beautifully written. the visual symbolism is also heavenly in the most melancholic way. he reminds me a lot of eren from aot. i felt his exhaustion and hopelessness from the depths of my soul. i think about rengoku when i want to be hurt in a good(ish?) way, but geto is my go-to when i'm in the mood for straight depression)

yuta (a blorbo if I've ever seen one. so precious. very sad about his current state. if gege kills him off there will be no one left 😭)

choso (normally i don't care for emo boys but he's so 'i am onii-chan,' it's endearing and also kind of funny. other than that he's really quiet for the most part but also like responsible and cares a lot about people he's close to. i ship him and yuki. i remember finding out about his death when i'd first logged into tumblr one day and i was devastated. how does gege manage to kill everyone 😭🤡)

my hero academia

shoto (see tag: SHOTOOOOO. my favorite boy. i love how the angst just completely left his body after deku forced him through his inner turmoil during the sports festival. competent. obviously one of bones' favorites given he's always drawn so handsomely)

kaminari (he is so dumb and i love him for it. good vibes only and even if a bit perverted, still super respectful and funny. bones always animates him with the most hilarious expressions. love him and jiro. also love him and mina as last in the class. and him and kirishima for being able to handle bakugo's difficult personality in stride!! he is so stupid and happy and i love him omg)

kirishima (a himbo!! the friendliest and most encouraging jock ever. i would've appreciated if i had a presence like him around when i was in high school. so manly!! i love how he just gets along with everyone. him and tetsutetsu are such an iconic duo. i also love how silly him and kaminari are [and sometimes bakugo too lol])

jiro (she is just so cool. introverted and operates mostly on the sidelines/behind-the-scenes, which i relate to and am also most comfortable with. she's like me if i was cooler and musically talented and had a rocker girl aesthetic)

most of class A (you can't hate any of them!! except for mineta maybe but the rest are all so cute and quirky [haha 🤪] in their own way)

mirio (energetic and positive and caring and such a bright light. also very hardworking. i'd love to have someone like him around in my life)

recovery girl (funny and sweet and a badass!! we love to see an advocate for the wellbeing of young heroes in training)

present mic (he is just such a funny announcer and narrator. always has something to say and i love his energy)

vestiges kudo and en (they are just..,., so handsome..,.)

attack on titan

jean (a motherfucking STALLION. the man that he is ugh 😩 shoutout [and rip] to marco who is honestly the reason for his amazing character development. truthfully, i think he could've done better than mikasa at the end [and i love her but it's so obvious that she only ever had eren in her heart] but i appreciate his consistency)

hange (just wants to be left to her own devices and be her true, unhinged self. i respect it. i love how everyone also just accepts her eccentricities and no one really makes fun of her for it [except levi of course but i love their dynamic so much])

erwin (the kind of leader we all wanna see!! intelligent, competent, respectable, pragmatic but also caring and inspiring. knows how to and is capable of make difficult decisions. a charismatic pillar of the military fr. i get so emotional when i listen to eren zahyo [hiroyuki sawano the goat fr] because of his scene at the end of S2. i search it up on youtube sometimes just to feel something honestly)

bertholdt (my poor boy. got absolutely nothing except wronged 😔 it hurt me so much to see him have to be the villain in S2. another blorbo who deserved the world and was literally thrown out the window once he was killed off. justice for my boy! 😭)

sasha (i miss her so much!! she was so funny and wholesome. a simple gal with simple needs. her and niccolo were so (;´༎ຶД༎ຶ`) tragic ugh. it breaks my heart)

pieck (her voice!! she also voices nakamura in assclass which i talk about here later. as for her character, she is super intelligent, respectable, and admirable as a female soldier. i'm a sucker for good covert ops and she's definitely one)

colt (handsome, caring older brother to the death. i wish we saw more of him. he deserved better ;-;)

toph (a badass. witty, funny, also really smart. does whatever she wants and gives no fucks)

azula (cunning. gorgeous. a crazy bitch and i love her for it. i wanna be her so bad)

asami (gorgeous. smart. talented. hard-working. literally the whole package. you wanna hate her but you just can't??)

airbending kids (jinora, ikki, meelo. all their voices match their personalities so well?? jinora is so smart and respectful, ikki is so sociable and good at interacting with people, and meelo is hilarious. i literally want to be all of them)

mako/bolin (i love them as a duo. they balance each other out and as siblings they just make so much sense)

wing/wei (they had so much potential for content as twin himbos 😭 so handsome too. i wish we saw more of them in the show)

assassination classroom (not a big anime but 10/10 would recommend this series. it's like a shorter mostly lighthearted version of mha with the wholesome school stuff)

koro-sensei (how could you hate him ;-; the more the show goes on the harder it is to accept his fate)

kayano (she's so cute. secretly crazy but for good reason!!)

kurahashi (she's literally sooo cute!! 😭 so fluffy)

nakamura (just the coolest girl ever. if i knew her irl i'd probably be intimidated by how cool she is)

takebayashi (he's kind of lame [i believe the current term for it is 'boyfailure'] but i just like him!! i can't explain why)

isogai (our fav poor class president!! he is such a nice and respectful boy)

maehara (a flirt and a playboy. i mostly only like him because he's handsome and he reminds me of kaminari from mha. i also love his friendship with isogai)

chiba/hayami (iconic sniper duo. very low key. i enjoy this introverted ship so much)

finn (the most normal™️ boy in this series. i'd love to be friends with him irl. he seems to be the only reasonable one in the group lmao. i guess he's considered kind of lame? but only cause his friends are wack jobs *affectionate*. his power is really cool and i think he deserves more interactions with his brother.)

lemon (my fav kooky girl. she'd host such a good girls' self care night imo. i feel like she deserves more attention but she's all good vibes and just so lovely)

dot (kinda crazy. almost the boy version of lemon? they give off the same chaotic energy but he's a good boy at heart and very golden retriever. he deserves the love he so wishes for!!)

abel (i don't care much for his character but aesthetically with the purple hair/clothes and his eyes i just. also his voice is nice and deep)

clay (my son. my bagel boy jr. the cutest baby boy to ever exist. he is never leaving my island)

ruby (my daughter. my fav rendition of the moon rabbit. also never leaving my island)

flurry (my emotional support hamster. got me through some tough times. my coping mechanism before anime. i let her leave my island and i regret it so much 😭)

julian (gay best friend i've always wanted and never had. he's too cool for me and he knows it. probably also knows he's too good to stay on my island but i will not let him leave)

dizzy/papi (literally so adorable. my sons who have since left my island)

marina/cheri (my daughters who have since left my island)

diana/whitney (they are just gorgeous and they know it. that is all)

aesthetically just love their character design: roscoe, spike, apollo, cyd, fang, hopper (do not ask me why i have no idea), tiffany, cleo, coco, aurora, roald

celeste (the nicest most adorable astronomy owl ever!! gives you the cutest star/space-themed items)

flick (sullen emo gay with a rocker aesthetic. hyper fixated on bugs. what's not to love)

pascal (hippie otter that's just vibin'. high all the time and i respect it. i love the way he looks. i wanted to buy a phone case off etsy with him on it and i still regret not getting it to this day [it is no longer for sale 🥲])

not all of them!!!! its rick, summer, and morty who are scene (scemo in summers case) :3 maybe also spacebeth??? havent decided yet sdjhkflhk but i know original beth had a really big scene/emo phase in her teens bc her mom and dad both had one, but shes kinda grown out of it during the show :P rick had too, but got back into it when summer and morty got into it :] and jerry is not/has never been scene jskajsakks. he keeps calling them 'emo' because he just doesnt get it </3

their color schemes are actually sorta meant to reflect that!! Rick, morty, and summer operate on a magenta/yellow/cyan color scheme <3 cyan for rick, yellow for morty, and magenta for summer!!

Haven't really made any headway with coloring the other three drawings (except for maybe one, but I haven't touched it in a while bc coloring a lined traditional drawing that I took a photo of is, for some reason, a serious pain), so I've decided that I should just go ahead and post this now. I've actually already posted this to my Ko//fi, just with a slightly different background. I changed it tho bc it was darker and I just wasn't vibing with it, even if it does have more fun effects and I had fun playing with some new brushes in Krita at the time.

Anyways, meet Rainbeau Velvette, or Beau for short! He's the blog's mascot. He has a sister named Darke, though I'm not sure if she's older or younger than him yet, or if they're twins (that question would still apply, regardless...). I also haven't finalized her design yet, but as her name implies, she's got a darker/duller base color scheme than her brother does. Beau himself actually has variable color schemes, with his main one being based on a specific rainbow cake recipe.

As for their species, Beau and Darke are both cake dragons! That is to say, vaguely cat-like dragons themed around cake. Specifically, "velvet" cakes- you know, like the famous red velvet, or the lesser known but highly versatile white velvet (which is generally considered to be the best base for colored cakes, including rainbow cakes, apparently!). Beau was based around the idea of loud and colorful 2000's internet culture, and thus a rainbow cake was selected for him. Darke is meant to reflect the other side of internet culture of the time; "goffick" and emo and a little bit of darker scene is her thing, so she takes after darker cakes, like the aforementioned red velvet- specifically the ones frosted in black- or black velvet, with black frosting, or red, or purple. If you look around you can see a lot of what I'm talking about (they look cool also; I'd love to have one for Halloween but. feasibility issues lol).

I hope you like him; I feel like I really went off with the belly scutes shaped like cake layers, lol.

Essay😛

I think a problem a lot of people have with CI (including myself) is how different she is compared to the likes of v4 and talk. There was an obvious aesthetic set up by Gynoid that Cevio didn’t exactly follow through with and the color scheme came off as strange to me so i shall describe my few problems in sorta depth

Twitter

VFlower used to be EXTREMELY active almost like a person on twitter. I got curious during a car ride home and saw cevio attempted it but it didn’t hold the same strength as flowers did. While many people don’t even follow Vflowers account or even go through her post it’s still clear people liked having vocaloids seem realistic, like they were like us. It gave her a bit more relatability that could make even newer fans amazed. While The trend of realistic tweets from vocaloids has died down (sadly) to see they’re at least trying gives me hope for flowers future endeavors! Some of the things CIflower lacks are things that V posted which could be seen as risky for the company (some old tweets consisting of flower trying to flirt with girls, swooning over randos and talking about big boobs[😭???]) it gave flower some spice no other vocaloid softwares DARED to do!

Her Design

ah yes, the initial problem, her design. As fore-mentioned Cevio didn’t go with the exact color palette/scheme as the last few models but I still think it was a great idea. It feels like we’re watching an emo girl grow into adult-hood, flower now appearing to be around 17-24! The only problem is her color scheme. While I love the idea it just doesn’t fit flower and I think to make it work they had to change flowers most notable features, her hair and eyes. Her eyes have gone from magenta or pink (depending on who drew her when) to blue. Her hair also changed, getting a similar color to ia’s, more blonde and pink than white. And while I could go on about the software companies hating while haired characters (maybe they don’t sell as much like piko idk) or how they need to learn their audience consist of neurodivergent gays afraid of change, I don’t have an explanation for this one. Surely I could search and find out something but I don’t know why flower took such a leap from her talk vb to ci. I understand you change as you grow blah blah blah but still how did she go from confidence and the only problem you see is her dropping her head phones in talk to “c-can you p-pass the ketchup m-mi-miss?” She looks so scared and nervous😭.

Her voice

holllyyyyy crap. I could take the model, “pink eyes are unrealistic anyways… maybe it’s just shading” but the difference from AI and hand done is just.. wow… on one hand maybe maturing caused a bit more feminine to come into her life but oh my flying Fukase. Dunno whoever’s reading this but that whole “learn their audience” was observing how me and other autistic people felt about the design😭😭😭 I hate change so when I heard the lower one’s eyes cover I almost had a panic attack. Where is the angrodgany??? Where’s the vflower??? I get they’re supposed to sound realistic but it just sounds feminine. Could just be the creature of habit thing but I personally prefer her older voice banks just because of the power and emotion I feel from her voice. Some covers make her sound real, like she’s struggled just like us. So far the songs with CI in them sound… well.. AI. Advanced AI, sure, but ai nonetheless.

YOU CAN HEADCANON ANYTHING!!!!!

Re-make flower, nothing is canon other than existence, and even those boundaries are tested by creative people! Have fun making a flower that represents YOU. It’s a voice with a name and that’s all that matters. Self project on the plant and give her a life you’d like! Still don’t think she’s a girl? PRONOUN IT UP! Flower is just a singing software package, have fun making her what you want to see while supporting others:D

Chapter 14: Ghosted

Qi sneaks around the alleyway, trying to stay out of sight. Watching friends and family celebrating.

He looks down at his phone, having the chat with (Y/n) open. He hesitate to type.

"Buzz"

He hears a phone go off, but i wasn't his.

Not too far away from him, laying on the sidewalk. He walks up to it and picks it. Its screen was broken but it was still working, on it was his message displayed under emo boy.

"(Y/n)...?" He mumbles. He notices tiny holes over the sidewalk from where the phone was, to around the corner.

Spiders

(A few minutes ago)

Tang and Mei sit on Sandy's shoulder watching the parade while Pigsy stands next to them.

"Oh, man! (Y/n)'s really missing out on all these awesome floats! There's the dragon! There's the monkey!" Mei yells, looking at a person in a monkey king costume passing by.

"Yeah and there's the spider!" Sandy says. Making the two on his shoulders to look at him.

"Spider? Pfft. There's no spider in the zodiac. It's probably just an eight-legged rooster or a—" Tang cuts himself off when he looks over and sees that Sandy was right.

There was a float with a huge spider on it, having a familiar black, green and purple color scheme.

The big cloth ontop of it flies off. Revealing Spider queen with her new spider squad along with a girl.

"Spider queen!" Tang, Pigsy, Sandy and Mei yell in unison.

Spider queen steps forward "Would you look at that? Everyone here to celebrate the Year of the Spider! Go let them know their Queen is back" she annouces with a big grin.

The audience tries running away but were stopped by spider robots jumping onto their backs. Turning them into mindless zombies.

Using webs to drag parts of other floats to create a spider mech.

"Hmmmm..."

(Y/n)'s eyes flutter open. She tries to reach her arm over to carres her head, only to release she was tied up.

"Well, looks who's up. Did you have a nice nap, sleeping beauty?" A voice questions.

(Y/n) looks up to meet eyes with a spider demon, seeming to be the one asking it."Where...am I?"

"Just in my spider mech, being a battery for it. I didn't expect you here, but no one can hide from me" The spider responds.

"Uh, am I supposed to know you?" (Y/n) asks, raising her eyebrows.

It seem to tick off spider queen she grabs the web string where (Y/n) caccoon was attached to.

"Now don't get sassy with me. Just because you got a new look doesn't mean I won't see right through it" She glares at the girls.

The big door at the other side of the room opens, revealing three spiders.

"My Queen, I have news regarding Red—" Syntax begins but was interuppted by Huntsman stepping infront of him.

"Ahem, my Queen. I have news regarding Red Son"

"Useless offspring.." Demon Bull King grumbles.

(Y/n) turns to look at the source of the voice and pales at the size of him.

'How did I notice before...!?'

Her eyes shift to a far smaller figure, also wrapped in spider silk.

The infamous Monkey King himself, hanging sideways. He seem to be already looking at her with a black stare.

She looks back at the spiders to avoid more akward staring.

"He actually uh-" Huntsman was pushed aside by Spindrax.

"These Idiots let him escape"

She notices (Y/n) and her face shifts to something saying 'what the fuck are you doing here'

With (Y/n) giving her a sheepish grin.

"Ugh. Find him. Now!" Spider queen yells. She pushes the girl's caccoon, making it spin around.

"Yes, my queen" Huntsman says. Syntax closes the door.

(Insert Willhelm scream)

(Y/n) spinning slows down, as the girl tries to recover from her dizzyness.She looks down to notice a rat tail sticking out of her

"Ah great. Of how all places and time it gotta wear off, it does now" she mutters.

Arc, Undertown by Quixate, Ellaroux, Mx. Hothead, Purrl, Pin, Toxodei, Euphobia, TALwire, Love, and others

Surprisingly soon for an update! I actually got jumpscared by this one while looking for a map because Glip hasn't mentioned it anywhere for whatever reason. This one's description is much shorter, just thank yous to Kuri and Sunbe for writing big chunks of it. They play Quixate/Love and Toxodei, respectively.

Glip describes this as Ellaroux's continuing strange adventures sideways through time and space, but it is unusually coherent. There aren't any strange dream sequences or rambling nonsense like most of the other ones. Things just happen in a linear order. It's actually the most coherent and easily followable VN in a long time. It's also one of the most boring. You can follow what happens alright, sure, but nothing actually happens. There's always something...

We pick up again SEEMINGLY where we left off, with Ellaroux sleeping on Quixate. Ellaroux (who goes by they, apparently) hears some people talking about Quixate, which wakes them up. They are described as a "grey thing", so it looks like they're even a different color scheme than the original Papaya at this point.

They're definitely more catlike

The voices call for "Savior Sir Quixate" to wake up, and Ellaroux leaps up to find little hand turkeys surrounding them.

They refer to her as a Dreamer, and they have a long and tedious conversation. The hand-birds want to give Quixate a specialized invitation, but Ellaroux insists that they're his bodyguard and anything for him will go through them first, since he's currently in one of his "sleeping spells". Ellaroux says that Quixate can do some "crazy" stuff, so it's pretty significant that he appointed them as his bodyguard personally (so don't mess with them, essentially).

The handbirds aren't happy with the arrangement, insisting that the invitation should only go to Quixate and if he's unwell they need to take him back to "our Lady", but Ellaroux is unmoved. When asked, the handbirds say that the invitation is for Quixate to come to the marriage of him and "our Lady", and that he should be home in his rightful place with his rightful partner. Ellaroux refuses to budge, so the handbirds (which are apparently Shorthands, which are those hater hands we saw back in the MSPaint VNs, which, ???) leave in a huff.

Meanwhile, Quixate doesn't seem interested in waking up, so Ellaroux puts some protective runes around him and wanders off into the city, with constant mentions that they're being careful to avoid any angel activity (are angels still dangerous or not?). The city's geometry doesn't make sense. They eventually come across Hothead in an alley.

You're interrupting my emo sitting time

Hothead says they haven't seen Ellaroux in a long time and asks what they're up to. They have another long and tedious conversation. Ellaroux asks why Arc has color and is all blue compared to other angel places, and Hothead says Undertown just does stuff like that. Ellaroux thinks it's odd and wonders if it's connected to the blue spots on the Shorthands, mentioning they've never seen color on a Shorthand before. Hothead says they've shown up recently but they didn't pay much attention, since they've been staying out of drama lately (Glip has been staying out of drama). Papaya is skeptical, but Hothead insists they're happier spending time with their wife instead, which is the first mention of Hothead having a wife. Hothead says they were going to go on a picnic with their wife but someone stole their picnic basket.

I strongly suspect Hothead's wife is Ms. Warmheart, who we've seen a couple times before, and in her first notable appearance had a basket. She didn't know what was in it and was tempted to throw it off a cliff, then got pestered by Call-Clout about it, but I doubt any of that's relevant anymore. If it is Ms. Warmheart, then that'd connect Warmheart to Eevee, Glip's real life wife, which adds up. The designs are vaguely similar enough.

Ellaroux asks what Hothead is doing in Arc, and they say they don't know, they were trying to get to their Boss and just ended up here. They have a boss?? They say that the "Cenastre tree" has been really messed up lately. When asked, they clarify their boss is Buchbrennerin, the bosslady of the Cenastre tree, in a unique font.

Buchbrennerin has been mentioned a few times and is also a name that Kuri/Quixate's player goes by, so. This is the first mention of Cenastre in a long time that doesn't mention that it burned to the ground. It seems to still exist now? When Min (haha remember her? me neither) talked about it way back when she said it was "always burning" and that the seeds were meant to save the rest of the world from suffering the same fate. It was implied that there might be two Cenastres though, so maybe they're in the other one?

There was a Clearing Tree back in Eastar, in Ladybird Province, along with a Library with a "deep unknown connection" to Clearing Magic, as well as routes to Arcus and Chance, two other areas in Eastar. Meanwhile, I didn't notice this back in the day, but the map for Arcus does confirm that Undertown is in there, and is a known breeding ground for "chordincept angels". Arcus had a whole time theme that I don't remember actually coming up directly in the VNs, but it does say that Undertown serves as a prison where angels renounced by their "batteries" are slaves assigned to resolving the pain Arcus causes. Prisoners of Arcus are sentenced to be "Time Sheared" which creates a "Nowhere cycle" that process events related to their crime, and the "volunteered" time of the prisoners is spent undoing the effects of their crime. What this actually sounds like to me is people in the Discord getting scolded and banned to punishment channels when they cross Glip or a mod. Anyway, it says if you try to escape Time Out, you're prevented from leaving Undertown with a specific access key from Arcus. This is probably what happened to Krypto for... some reason.

On a meta level, Cenastre was the name of the continent Glip's older RP project, PMD-E, was set before it went up in flames. Or at least, it was going to be the place where the new PMD-E was going to take place before cohost when down in flames. Kuri and Glip drew quite a lot of things back and forth about the new PMD-E, so I suspect Kuri had a hand in reviving Cenastre, the setting, in Glip's mind, thus Kuri being the boss of the clearing tree of Cenastre. But I'm just speculating.

Anyway, Hothead says it makes no sense that they're there because Arc isn't a part of Cenastre's clearing tree. They also speak a bit of German. Kuri speaks German and Glip is trying to learn it, incidentally.

Ellaroux asks if Hothead knows who the Lady is, and they say they try to stay out of politics. They go on a thinly veiled rant about how they don't want to know what the leader of their section is doing anymore since they're outlawing what makes them who they are, and this is clearly about Trump's latest cruel assaults on human dignity and rights. They do vaguely hide it by saying that who they are is "screaming in public", and Ellaroux asks if that's really what they think defines them, and they tell them they're being annoying, and so on.

Anyway, Ellaroux says they fell asleep somewhere and woke up here and feel trapped. They give a brief rundown of the places they've been, saying after they got out of Undertown the first time (when they were talking to Pengo on the train?) they went to Eastar and then got so tired of the continent they wanted to destroy it. They said no one treats them like they're really here or really real, so why not just blow the whole thing up (Glip constantly complains about how no one treats them like they're a real person when drama arises). They say now though that it was a dumb plan. Hothead commiserates on how you want to push and push until you get a reaction when people treat you that way. Presumably this is the motivation behind all those callout VNs Glip did.

Ellaroux says that it was crazy to want to destroy the continent after a "few bad encounters". Not sure what these were but I assume they were RPs that went bad. Anyway, they say they decided not to do it and went to Ladybird with a guy they met, where they erased the Librarian. This came up in the World Egg as well, where Papaya triumphantly proclaimed they could unerase the Librarian, and that Kiwiface thing chided them about erasing the librarian being wrong. At the time, Papaya defended herself by saying that erasing the Librarian kept everyone from having a "diseased connection" to Kiwiface.

Hothead is shocked by Ellaroux erasing the Librarian. Ellaroux says they did it because of reasons, reasons that suck now but they worked to undo that, whatever that means. They say they tried to work it out with the Librarian who was surprisingly kind to them, which might be the conversation we saw last time with Ellaroux trying to make the Kiwiface thing remember why the Mask of the Sun broke.

Buchbrennerin means bookburner I think, by the way. I'm sure it's connected.

Ellaroux then says they ended up in Clear Watching WHERE ANGELS GO TO DIE, when they and Problemedic switched places. Ellaroux had to solve a bunch of problems with her notes.

Back in Shizukan's Test, Problemedic was watching a bunch of stupid nonsense through a screen and dealing with a faux-parser interface, so maybe that's what Ellaroux switched into? idk. Ellaroux says that the Clear Watching WHERE ANGELS GO TO DIE they were in exited into Storgo, not Arc (there's more than one Clear Watching?). She mentions being with Quixate, and Hothead interrupts to say "the Cenastru guy?", so apparently Quixate is from Cenastre. Since when has Cenastre been an actual place not on fire?? I guess they still have angels there though so it's not Topside (as if that has ever really mattered).

Hothead says they don't know Quixate but they know of him. Ellaroux says they were in Storgo for a bit, got on Quixate's train, went to an island, and then they fell asleep. Close enough to what happened last time I guess. They woke up here and Quixate flew them around and it's super polluted and gross and Dystopian™ which made Ellaroux cry about how this is the best that humanity (neon furry-ity) can imagine.

Ellaroux says that Quixate fell asleep on the island for such a long time they weren't sure he'd come back, which hurt. Hothead asks if he does this a lot. I wonder if this refers to Quixate's player maybe being a bit slow on their RP responses? Ellaroux mentions that Quixate didn't say anything when they got to the city which was very weird for him, he was acting strange all around. As Ellaroux retells it, they say that this was a mix of Arc and their world and it's horrible.

what does what people dream have to do with it

They say they felt like they were looking at Arc, Arcus, and Dewclaw all combined. Quixate and Ellaroux had talked about going back to Dewclaw in the last VN in what sounded like a veiled metaphor for how Glip is a pariah in real life for their role in covering up their husband's pedozoo antics. Hothead speculates that maybe the blue is related to that.

Just when it seems like this eternal conversation is over, Hothead calls Ellaroux back after they walk off, saying they want to tell them something that might make them mad. They say that someone was imitating them on Wishbone, "a Socketpuppet". Socketpuppet if you recall was yet another dumb strawman angel Glip made for Sila in the insane Circlet of the Sun VN, which will NEVER STAY DEAD, NEVER!! NEVER!! At the time it was just about Sila using Glip's identity for free art or something...? But Socketpuppet seemed to be a singular entity, so the mention of "a" Socketpuppet is odd.

Hothead says that someone was going around looking like Ellaroux, calling themselves Papaya, and wearing a mask just like the one they're wearing. For a second, I thought this was about that "Interview with Papaya of Pentacles" VN a long time ago, with Papaya But Fat For Some Reason (fetish reasons, Glip has a fat fetish) in Wishbone, but that Papaya didn't have a mask. She did THREATEN to put on a mask though, which Hothead told her not to do because it'd make it harder for them to "Leave". I guess she did put it on?

Ellaroux asks if they did anything bad, and Hothead says they erased a "murderer rapist" but they were "kind of evil about it". I assume this is actually about Circlet of the Sun, the callout about Sila, which was absolutely insane. They did call Sila a murderer rapist in it basically, but they also took it down later because I guess they realized it made them look bonkers (they apparently still think Sila is evil though). If it's not that then I don't know what Hothead is talking about.

Hothead says it was "complicated", and that this other Papaya ran a pretty nasty defamation campaign against a guy offering free classes in Arcus. I assume this is about Phesund but I don't remember anything about a defamation campaign. I guess this is more background RP stuff we plebes don't get to know. Hothead says his whole career started tanking after that, which is news to me. Maybe that's why Phesund seems to be molting later on in Althar? Hothead says it felt like bs.

It's possible someone was pretending to be Glip at some point to troll them or others, or Glip tried to run "free classes" (RPs) and someone ran a defamation campaign (callout on Twitter) that made their career start tanking (lost followers) but I couldn't say for sure.

Ellaroux finally leaves and finds a tree where that pointy bird angel Pin is with Purrl the luneko. Purrl says she's going to have a birthday party (I believe this is an anniversary for the real cat Pearl, either her birthday or her deathday) and Pin is flying her around to look. One of the cute things about this bit is that there are these meows in the background music and I suspect they were recorded from the real Pearl. Anyway, Ellaroux is happy to see Purrl. They banter for a bit and then they fly off.

They do mention before they go that they were looking for the Imaginary Moon, which was where the party was going to be. Andre seems to be keeping an eye out for them, which makes sense. Ellaroux reports back to Hothead that Purrl has their wife's basket. Hothead is amused and heads off to tell their wife. Ellaroux gets back to wandering and finds a tubular building. There's a "shimmer" inside (a TV) and they decide to go in and check it out and find Euphobia on the couch.

hi... *sighs dramatically, the wind making me look beautiful and mysterious*

Euphobia's text is extremely annoying because they use a million ellipses and they take forever and you can't click through them. After a painfully halting conversation, Ellaroux finds out that the channel on the TV is stuck, and Euphobia's friend went to go fix it but hasn't come back yet. Weirdly, the channel is stuck on the Principal wandering around an area that looks a lot like those buildings we saw way way back in Call Sign.

Euphobia says this show is supposed to be a comedy, or so everyone says, but it's just the Principal wandering around. Commentary on people who want the comic to be funnier? Euphobia has an annoying self-pitying moment where they think their friend hasn't come back because they hate them for no reason and Ellaroux talks them down and says they'll go check it out. Their friend's name is Toxodei, which is way too close to Toxinuate. I don't care if Toxinuate goes by Problemedic now, you can't have two characters with Tox in the name.

Ellaroux goes up the stairs nearby while avoiding a lot of oily sludge, although they say they give up on getting their paws dirty. They find a big black oily thing blocking the stairwell. It's Toxodei.

ohh nooo i'm so fat and helpless ahaha oh noooo

Toxodei has two heads, one with an O and one with an X and speaks fairly politely. They say they're stuck. Ellaroux suggests that they could climb over them to the other side and push. This is a long and lengthy process told in great detail of Ellaroux climbing over their sticky gooey body and getting oily goop all over them and getting really dirty and goopy and oily and it is definitely fetishistic (Glip has a goop fetish). It's actually fetishistic in more than one way because Toxodei's player is Sunbe, also known as Samael the Butterdragon, who is fairly well known for getting their self-insert into Undertale and also having a fat fetish. Toxodei's goopy fat roundness is talked about in great detail. There are even new sprites for goopy dirty Ellaroux because it's incredibly important you know how goopy and oily and dirty they are.

Anyway, Ellaroux can't push them down because they're just so soft and goopy and oily and sludgy and they just get so dirty doing it, it's terrible, just filthy with goop and sludge, and tells Toxodei that they'll go check out the antenna and then come back down and see if they can figure out what to do. At the top of the stairs there's a two-headed TALcat and a bean.

The TALcat kind of creeps Ellaroux out but they don't seem to recognize who TAL is, assuming she's an angel. TALwire gives a bunch of evasive answers to Ellaroux's questions, eventually ending with the idea that if they touch the antennabean with their mind they'll change the channel. Ellaroux recognizes the bean as Sample and apologizes as they touch it, saying they'll figure something out for Sample too. After touching it, they ask TALwire to help them get Toxodei unstuck, and she agrees. When Toxodei asks who TALwire is, she says she "might" be TALwire, which prompts Ellaroux to give her a look.

They get Toxodei unstuck (this takes too long) and Euphobia says there's a new show on the TV and it's even in color. They invite Ellaroux and TALwire in to watch, and they agree. There are more descriptions of Toxodei's fat gooeyness.

A clearer shot of Toxodei makes them definitely look like a fetish version of that two headed dragon from Quest for Camelot. Euphobia is also a self-insert of Glip's btw, I'm not sure if I ever mentioned that before.

The show on TV is narrated by two flowers in the corners with Quixate and the Principal's eyes in them. They put on a little play using the word charlatan too many times.

Quixate wants to tell a story about the power of love and turning "wicked into womby". Womby sounds a lot like woobie, but if that's what was meant I'm not sure why Glip wouldn't just say that. I'm not sure if it's supposed to be pronounced like Womb the organ or like Wombo Combo.

We get a very long sequence where Quixate and the Principal roleplay themselves meeting for the first time. Principal plays obnoxious music and Quixate dances to it, which shocks it, and it acts like a total paranoid suspicious weirdo towards him but Quixate is into it for some bizarre, unknowable reason.

The dialogue is silly at least but it just goes on for so long. Quixate says the Principal thinks about how this happened because it had its music turned up so loud everywhere, which makes me wonder again if this is a veiled metaphor for Kuri and Glip meeting. Glip's art turning up everywhere, Kuri becoming a fan of it and joining their RP, Glip being suspicious and weird towards Kuri, Kuri being positive and kind to them in return, Glip falling in love with them. They do say Kuri wrote one half of this. I don't know, I'm speculating.

Principal runs away but can't stop thinking about Quixate and is acting like a total weirdo about it, as flowerQuixate says the "wombyfication" has started. I'm really wondering about this word. I've never heard it before. Woobie-fication, sure, but womby? Anyway it goes on and on with Quixate offering him some chocolate and Principal having internal insane meltdowns about it, but I will mention that Quixate dictates a lot of what the Principal is doing. Bad form for an RPer! But I think that's part of the whole thing.

One odd element to this is that there's an audience watching and sometimes they offer commentary, which Glip says was sourced from their discord. It's normally just general chatter like ho ho what will happen, but then after the Principal runs away randomly for the second time, one of them just decides to vent.

pay attention to MEEEEE

They say that they're captivated by the play and thank them, and Quixate says that against their intent they've made someone's day better. The Principal says "I'm glad to hear that" before realizing their life as a charlatan is over. Again this gives me vibes of Glip reassuring themselves (or possibly Kuri reassuring them) that they improve people's lives with their work and aren't a bad person.

One moment that stands out just a little in this lengthy play is during one of the "he dares to offer you the chocolate, he dares to call you his bud" bits, the Principal says that he's doing a lot of daring that day, and Quixate says that the only person who should be doing that much daring should be a hero, but that heroes only exist in stories, stories only fools believe in. Quixate's described himself as a hero a few times.

At the end of it Quixate says he has to go back to his train, and Principal has an internal panic attack about how it's drawn to him like a magnet and its life is over before going to join him. Play end, it has been "wombyfied." Both the flower versions laugh and seem pleased with it all, which is the happiest we've ever seen the Principal. We cut to a strange distorted shot of two figures.

One of them is partly shaped like Quixate, with the heart wings and big abdomen, and the other one kind of looks like oldschool TAL before TALcat took over. Quixate's head doesn't look right though, more like a lot of different flowers. I'd say they'd represent the flower heads telling the last story but one of them was the Principal. I assume this has something to do with Kuri and Glip dating though.

We then cut to Euphobia holding a card with Toxodei pressed to them back to back, saying that they're stuck with them for as long as they want. Toxodei then wishes Euphobia a happy hearts day, and that their lives are better with Euphobia in it, and they hope their life is also better with them in return.

We end with a shot of Euphobia hugging Toxodei. I highly suspect Sunbe and Glip are also dating now, but I couldn't say for sure. They're certainly playing massive parts in all the VNs lately. Notably, Pengo and Opa have been MIA. Will Kuri or Sunbe be next? Who can say...

Anyway what happened of any importance?
