You know, all this time I never realized that Bomberman had Enemies! I thought it was just all those Bombers Men blowing each other up for sport. And I love those Bombers Men, they are very cute, but wow! Enemies! I love those! Enemies are my friends. There have been sooo many enemies over the course of the franchise, but here I will be talking about the originals from the very beginning! For the sake of consistency, I will be using the artwork from Bomberman Party Edition, since that was sadly the most recent time they all got official art for the same game. Here they come! Some creatures!
BALLOM
Ballom is The Enemy. The first one! It is very simple. It is really just a balloon, sometimes with a string, sometimes not. Watch out for this one! Ever try to kill a balloon before? Don’t let the media fool you, you need a bomb to do it. Ballom actually appeared before all the others in the very first game, called Bomber Man, where it was the only enemy! This game was localized in Europe as... Eric and the Floaters. It sounds like a band name! A real Yoshi’s Island style localization choice. This is not a Bomberman game anymore. It’s an Eric game.
I do not think this is what balloons look like
ONIL
Already we have reached my favorite one! Onil is a blue onion sort of thing, and I am really just a sucker for creatures that are vegetables. It is so cute! It’s almost not recognizable as an onion most of the time, with its tip looking like a dollop of frosting rater than actual onion skin, but the original sprite does a pretty good job of communicating Onion. As you can see at the beginning of the post, its name was originally localized as O’Neal, which I think is very funny. That’s a Last Name right there! This onion was named like a Fortnite character!
DAHL
Dahl is a sort of barrel of a thing! Finally we reach a thing that would more reasonably require a bomb to destroy. Look at its little face though! I feel bad talking about destroying these things with bombs. I don’t have much to say about Dahl, it’s a barrel, though it is a very cute barrel. I can’t think of THAT many other cute barrels.
MINVO
Minvo is a little boring. I’m sorry. But it’s just a Face! Sometimes it is a very inoffensive-looking face, while sometimes it is showing a few teeth, but still just a Face. They don’t do anything all that interesting either. However!
In some 3D appearances, they are not a sphere, but instead shaped like a sandwich cookie! Maybe they have been cookies all along! They even have Filling!
OVAPE
Ovape is a funny one! Originally, it was basically a smiley Pac-Man ghost, which is cute and funny, but not very unique. When allowed more detail, though, it often looks more like an octopus, and not just any octopus, but a hot dog cut into an octopus shape!
You know? Yeah! I don’t know how intentional the resemblance is, but it is very cute and fun.
DORIA
I love Doria! It is some kind of Substance, or perhaps an amoeba, and I love a simple cute blob. It is often seen in this weirdly flat-looking shape, like it was spread on an invisible piece of bread! I would not eat it! Doria moves slowly, but it is slippery and smart, chasing Bomberman while avoiding bombs. Very impressive for a brainless (I assume) blob!
PASS
Here we have our Token Mammal! Pass is a tiger who forgot the rest of itself at home and hops around as a head lump. It almost feels like Minvo, but with an actual design! You’re lucky you became a cookie, Minvo. Pass is fast, like a real tiger, and is able to Pass right through certain solid blocks, which real tigers cannot do. Only snow leopards can.
PONTAN
Another face? Kind of! But not completely! Pontan is a COIN, so more interesting than just a face, and spins around flatly in its animations. They are the most dangerous of the original enemies, and their design does nothing to reflect this! That is funny. Like Pass, it passes through some blocks, but it also hunts you down! If Pontan finds you, you will learn that it can indeed be used as currency. One Pontan is enough to buy you one Death!
Some, but not all, of these enemies would have the privilege of appearing in a Mobile Match 3 Game with the release of Bomberman Chains, and boy! They look weird! All of them! Ballom looks like Chris Griffin. Onil looks like it just woke up at 3:26 AM to go to the bathroom. I cannot say I Like any of these designs here, which is a shame because I think they could have all looked especially cute in Doodle Aesthetic, like Bomberman himself does! But I am glad this happened, it’s funny.
These have been just a few of the many funny little creatures specifically designed to be obliterated by explosions. Thank you.

GameSpot UK Interview with Adrian Smith - Tomb Raider 3
Interview appeared on Gamespot UK website, dated to 30th October 1998
In an exclusive interview, Tomb Raider III developer Core Design's operations director, Adrian Smith, reveals Tomb Raider III's secrets…
GameSpot UK:
Tomb Raider III is divided into five mini-adventures. Does each one have a different plot and if so, are these linked by an overall story?
Adrian Smith:
I guess you could call them mini-adventures: Lara's looking for four artefacts this time so each location is almost a separate adventure. She starts off in India. She believes she's looking for a single artefact but at the end of this location she discovers that there are another three to find. So after India she can go to the South Pacific, London or Nevada in any order, before playing the final location: Antarctica. The locations are linked by a story that is brought to its conclusion in Antarctica.
GameSpot UK:
What's the plot this time?
Adrian Smith:
I can't say too much, but the four artefacts that Lara is searching for were originally discovered lying round a large meteorite that crashed to earth millions of years ago. The collision separated this point of impact from the mainland, creating a volcanic island towards the north of Antarctica. When the meteorite impacted, the area became impregnated with foreign matter this matter had powerful properties and slowly released a kind of radiation that accelerated growth and evolution in both creatures and plants... but not without side effects. As Antarctica iced over, the basin of the island remained an oasis of life.
The first peoples to discover the island were Polynesians, and when one tribe discovered the abundance of life there, they decided to stay. Deep within the dormant volcano, they found the core of the meteorite magically suspended it seemed, above the rock. (The material was in fact magnetic and was being repelled by the magma below.) The settlers built an altar round the meteorite and used four smaller pieces of the meteorite to create a device to trap and save the precious radiation.
Years later, as explorers were charting Antarctica, they discovered the remains of the island. Fresh animal tracks in the snow, led them to the crumbling remains of the settlement. When the explorers reached the altar, they looted the four artefacts, and as they left, one of the men was attacked and killed by a mutant beast. The others fled in terror. Only one survived to record the story...
Back in the present day, a scientific research company hits sculpted rock as it blows a wall of ice in the Antarctic and discovers an unknown material and the body of the savaged explorer. On the explorer's tombstone are the details of the boat on which he sailed. Using this information, the research company sets about searching for the artefacts.
Lara, meanwhile, is in India searching for one of these artefacts herself, unaware of its true history. And so the adventure begins.
GameSpot UK:
What are the locations like? We've seen the London screens. Is running round the capital as challenging as raiding a tomb?
Adrian Smith:
The locations are quite diverse. London features a night-time rooftop level from there Lara drops into some of the buildings, including an eerie waxworks museum and the Natural History Museum. Eventually she finds her way to St Paul's, and from there into the sewers (for which Lara has an underwater propulsion unit, à la James Bond), deserted tube stations and Masonic halls. The level of detail in Tomb Raider III enables us to create really atmospheric locations.
Other locations include: Nevada (Area 51 and the desert), The South Pacific (very lush, featuring a coastal level, island in terior and a white water level!), India (jungle locations and temples), and Antarctica (where all is not as it seems!).
GameSpot UK:
What sort of enemies will Lara face this time?
Adrian Smith:
Well, they'll all have a far higher level of AI than previously encountered since we have 'Dr Tom', the AI specialist working with us on Tomb Raider III. Nearly all the enemies are new and include snakes, hyenas, monkeys, dragons, huskies, whales, piranhas and jellyfish, plus a whole lot more.
Lara will be able to avoid some of her human enemies by ducking and crawling to avoid their line of sight, but once they see her, they'll raise the alarm and the chase will really be on. Some of the animal enemies may run away from Lara when initially approached, but if she follows them, she may be led to danger. Many of the enemies will also work in groups to cut Lara off, so she'll have to work out ways to distract them in order to proceed. And watch out for the monkeys they love to run away with Lara's precious medipacks!
GameSpot UK:
Lara's an athletic lass. Does she have any new moves this time round?
Adrian Smith:
The main new moves include the duck, crawl, monkey swing and dash. Since Lara is now able to crawl in narrow spaces and tunnels, the exploration element of the game has really been opened up. The duck allows Lara to quickly avoid gunfire she can also shoot while in the duck position so combat now becomes more strategic. The hand-over-hand monkey swing can be used to traverse areas that Lara is unable to cross on foot, and the dash allows Lara to sprint to safety when she needs to make a swift escape. Lara can also add a dive to her new dash move. This is particularly useful for time-based traps where she'll have to dash and dive through closing doors.
GameSpot UK:
Fashion fans want to know what Lara is wearing this season? Is brown still the new black?
Adrian Smith:
Since Lara is so practical, she needs suitable outfits for each location. These include white and grey camouflage trousers and jacket for the Antarctic, a black cat-suit for London, combat trousers for Nevada and a crop top for the hot South Pacific locations.
GameSpot UK:
What about those lovely boy toys vehicles and guns?
Adrian Smith:
Lara does indeed have some new vehicles to help her get around. A couple of the levels will rely solely on the use of vehicles to complete them successfully: Lara will be white-water rafting in a kayak and speeding down mines in a rail cart. Other vehicles include a James Bond-style underwater propulsion unit and a quad bike... but I don't want to give any more than that away right now!
As for the weapons, some of Lara's new items include an automatic rifle, rocket launcher and desert eagle guns.
GameSpot UK:
Are there any changes to the combat? Does Lara have to aim now or does she auto-aim as before?
Adrian Smith:
It's basically the same system, but a couple of the weapons will require Lara to aim herself.
GameSpot UK:
What improvements have been made to the game engine and graphics on Tomb Raider III?
Adrian Smith:
Firstly there's a new structure for the order of gameplay: Tomb Raider III contains five separate locations which link together, but after completing the first location the following three can be played in any order, before the final location closes the game. Whereas Tomb Raider I and II contained 15 levels, Tomb Raider III contains 20, making it a considerably larger game. The levels themselves are far less linear than before and the player will have a choice of at least two routes to complete each one. The routes will vary in difficulty: taking the harder route will reward the player with more pick-ups, whereas the easier routes will be quicker and less complicated. To add further variety to the gameplay, the save-game system offers an easy and a hard option.
The easy option allows the player to save the game anywhere, as in Tomb Raider II. The harder option will use the save-game crystals that featured in Tomb Raider I, but this time Lara can either use the save-game crystals immediately, or store them in her inventory for use later on.
Tomb Raider III's level editing system has undergone an extensive redesign: our programmers use the level editor tool to create the rooms that, when linked together, make up each level. Tomb Raider and Tomb Raider II used a grid system to create the levels this meant that the level architecture that Lara was able to interact with consisted of a series of blocks of different heights and dimensions. Tomb Raider III's system now incorporates triangles. This means that we can now achieve greater detail such as very realistic organic surfaces, and smoother shore-lines.
We're also able to create more complex architectural structures such as domes, arches and vaulted ceilings.
Tomb Raider III's game engine offers more speed than the first two games, and handles a greater amount of detail. The water in the third game is now transparent, reflective and rippling. When Lara swims or wades through the water, she'll leave a wake behind her. If she fires a weapon into the water, you'll see a new underwater explosion effect. Also, if she's standing in the water and firing a weapon, you'll see the empty shells actually drop into the water and sink to the bottom.
Other effects include semi-transparencies such as mist, smoke and shafts of light. And weather effects such as snow, wind and rain are now included all of which give the game a deeper atmosphere and added realism.
We also have more realistic flames and explosions. When Lara fires a weapon, you'll even see smoke from the barrel of her gun. Lara now leaves footprints and you'll also hear sound effects as she runs across different surfaces.
Sadly, page four (of four) is no longer available.
All rights belong to GameSpot and/or their affiliated companies. I only intend to introduce people to old articles and preserve them before they are lost.

AVENGERS 4 TRAILER ANALYSIS
Whoop Whoop! The new Avengers trailer just dropped this morning at 7am (USC) and I couldn’t be more excited!
To prove how much of a fanatic I am about the MCU, I made a scene by scene analysis of the one minute trailer. Be aware of the long post ahead, we’re diving in deep.
So I split up the analysis by three things. I put a voice over as stand-alone quotes right above the shot it correlates to. Every time there is a shot change, I put a new dash. Whenever the scene itself changes (ex. from Space to Earth) I write down the new area we are watching. Keep in mind that sometimes the shots and scenes of trailers do not occur in order. (But I’m sure ya’ll know that)
Trailer Watch:
Scene: Tony and his recording to Pepper in the cockpit of a ship
-Tony’s iron man head is ruined. It is the right side of his helmet. This isn’t accurate to what we see in Infinity war. You can find the youtube video I watched to find this out here. Tony had his helmet smashed off. The left side of his face was open and the right side was still intact before Thanos hit him across the head the whole thing came off. Soooooo, either Tony has another suit with him (wouldn’t surprise me) and then got into a separate fight, or I got it wrong and that was not the last time we see the Iron Man suit in Infinity War. EDIT: I rewatched it since I posted, the helmet is not ruined, it is meticulously taken apart. What if Tony was trying to give power to the ship through the Iron Man suit? That power is going to run out ‘tomorrow’ and the ship will then have no power to give them oxygen.
Tony VO “This thing on?”
-The interior of the ship he is on is similar to ones from the guardians of the galaxy. Making me think he is on their ship.
“Hey miss Potts, If you find this recording…”
- He is wearing a black tank top and his triangle arc reactor is showing through the shirt. He looks physically exhausted and tired. The last outfit we see him in on Titan was a zip-up sweatshirt, but I don’t expect that to be the only thing he had on him.
“Don’t feel bad about this. Part of the journey is the end. Just for the record, being adrift in space with zero promise of rescue is more fun than it sounds.”
- Honestly, I thought the ship in space was Falcon. I got excited for a hot second there. It is not. Then my brain started working again ‘you really think Falcon would be in space? Did you forget that Sam was dusted too?’ Thanks, brain, I really needed to remember that Sam got dusted. Thanks.
“Food and water ran out four days ago. Oxygen will run out tomorrow morning. That’’ be it.”
- Tony’s outfit is different. He now has a red long-sleeve shirt on. He is standing and looking out the front of the ship. There is something blue and bright on the right bottom corner of the screen, but it doesn’t seem artificial, maybe there is a bunch of bright nebula’s. Speaking of Nebula, we haven't seen her on this ship yet.
“When I drift off I will think about you. It’s always you.”
-my heart
-the ship’s screens in the background seem to be disrupted. There is something else that is wrong with the ship.
Scene: wherever Thanos is
- his armor is off and hung like a scarecrow. His hut we see at the end of infinity war is in the background. The landscape is hilly and looks like it could even be earth. (Dear Lord I hope not)
Natasha VO “Thanos did exactly what he said he was going to do…”
- We see the gauntlet. It is wrecked. It looks just as burned as it did after the snap in infinity war.
- The plants Thanos is walking in are not from earth. He is on a different planet. I can’t tell where he is walking to, but he is going toward the sun. It’s all quiet and peaceful, just like he wanted.
Scene: Avenger’s compound
- A sky view of the compound. It is completely empty, there’s hardly as much movement in comparison to other scenes. Thanos really did do it.
“He wiped out…
-Cap is crying. I am crying. We all are crying. I miss him too, Cap. I miss him too.
“Fifty percent of all living creatures.”
-50% of living creatures! Not just humans! This means that there are fewer animals too. Do plants count?
- Next, we see Bruce standing in front of a screen showing missing avengers. We see Scott Lang as the main face he is looking at, but a smaller screen also shows both Shuri and Peter Parker as MISSING. Shuri got dusted as well! He looks at Scott and puts his hand in his face.
- We then get another shot at the compound. This time it looks like a hanger for maybe the quinjets? Nonetheless, it is empty.
Steve VO “We lost. All of us”
- Thor is 1. In human clothing (and man does he look good) 2. Sitting solemnly against a background that is pretty indistinguishable. At first I thought it was the Asgardian cells, but then I remembered that he was last on earth. He is most likely at the base with Cap and Nat. He looks defeated. He had him. He had the power to kill Thanos! He didn’t truly avenge Heimdall’s and Loki’s death. He truly has nothing more that he could lose.
Scene: Tony and Nebula’s spaceship
- We see Nebula for the first time in this trailer. This is most definitely the ship the Guardians we’re using in the last film. She steps around the corner and is either going toward the cockpit or away from the cockpit, I can't distinguish. She is very slow in her movements, pausing and looking down. (Could this be that she just saw Tony die??) She looks defeated. Does she need the same amount of food and water and oxygen that humans need? This makes me wonder about how much of her is a robot.
“We lost friends. We lost family.”
- Nebula’s hand is sliding off Tony’s shoulder. I didn’t see any movement from Tony. With the wording that goes along with this scene, we are led to assume that this is when Tony dies. ... NOT ON MY WATCH MARVEL!
Scene: In Chinatown or in an actual Asian city.
- We see a hooded figure wiping blood off of this weird looking sword thing. Honestly, at first, I thought they brought daredevil into Avengers. I knew they wouldn’t, but I had no clue who this was.
-Nat stands behind this hooded figure who is standing over the body of a man in business apparel and two other men in the background in white clothing. The guy at the hooded man’s feet is most likely the boss and still looks alive at this shot. The hooded man begins to remove his hood and then a mask. It shows unruly hair and I was freaking out thinking it was Klaw. Who else has hair like this?
“We lost a part of ourselves”
-IT'S FREAKING CLINT. But is it? Or is this is new alter ego Robin? Robin is the alter ego of Hawkeye but Robin only came after a bad event. I'm betting he lost someone in his family if not all. Think about it. In infinity war, Nat said that Clint chose to be with his family instead of fighting Thanos. What would push Clint to leave his family again and become this vigilante-esque man? IF HIS FAMILY GOT DUSTED. Clint ‘loses a part of himself’ and becomes Robin, the bad-boy alter ego of Hawkeye.
“This is the fight of our lives”
Scene: Nat and Cap are dressed and ready to go into action and standing in the quinjet.
-Cap brings out his compass with the picture of Peggy. My goodness the love that this man has for her is crazy. I know that there are people who low-key ship Cap and Nat (I was even on board for a bit), but I don’t think anyone should be with Cap unless it’s Peggy. Those two were meant to be together, but sadly, time kept them apart. RIP Peggy Carter.
- Nat to Cap “This is going to work, Steve.” Cap, “I know it is.” looks over to Nat “Because I don’t know what I’m going to do if it doesn’t” Okay, guys! There’s a plan! There is no indication of what they’re doing or where they’re going but at least there’s a plan!
At this point, we get some Bomb™ music and the wonderful intro to the title of this movie AVENGERS: END GAME
“Hi, uh, is anyone home?”
-okay wait hold up. WHAT? Isn’t that Scott’s voice?
Scene: The Avengers compound. Looking at a screen (the same screen that showed Scott as MISSING)
“This is Scott Lang. We met a few years ago at the airport in Germany? I got really big.”
- Steve and Natasha were surprised with this video on the screen. Steve stands up, confusion on his face. Wait, he’s alive? He asks “Is this an old message?” Nat then stands up.
“Ant man? Ant ma — I know you know who — I know you know that.”
Nat says “That’s the front door”
- In the background of the security footage, we see that Scott came up in this great looking van. So now we have both Scott and Clint coming back to help out the team. Did Scott also lose his daughter?
“That’s me. Can you buzz me in?”
End of Trailer!
AND IT COMES OUT IN APRIL GUYS I’M SO EXCITED!

Fandom: GOT7
Member/Reader: Jackson, Pregnant!Tuan!Female
Genre/Warnings: Fluff, Pregnant Reader, Violent Anime Mention
Summary: A night of marathoning Berserk with Jackson, Mark and BamBam was supposed to be uneventful, but hey, shit happens.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Tonight was supposed to be an uneventful night. Sitting down with a huge bowl of popcorn and marathoning Berserk with your brother, boyfriend and best friend. You were cuddled up on the larger couch with Jackson, leaving your older brother Mark and BamBam to the rest of the room, the younger sitting dead set in front of the television despite Mark’s warning. The fifth episode of your marathon had barely started when you started to feel sick. You weren’t the type to be squeamish, especially since you had seen the series so many times. But, things happen, and things were happening fast. Heartburn was first.
Guts had already cleaved two men’s heads from their shoulders, blood spraying out. The editing cuts were fast, as per every anime that came out in the 90s, especially the violent ones. You were trying your best to enjoy your favourite show, but the feeling of heartburn made you squirm in Jackson’s arms.
“Hey, are you okay?” He whispered, and you just nodded, brushing off his question.
“Yeah, just a bit of heartburn.” Jackson’s arms tightened around you a little more, and you smiled as you cuddled a bit closer. In those small moments with Jackson, you felt so loved, even in doing something not considered by others to be romantic.
“It’s only one man! Kill him!”
Both you and Jackson scoffed at that, both of you broadcasting the sarcastic commentary of two veteran viewers of the show, in the knowledge that Guts wasn’t just ‘one man’. BamBam was rocking in front of the screen out of excitement, you could already tell that he was grinning out of delight. This was his first viewing, his enthusiasm bleeding into your own, a strange motherly feeling washing over you.
“Wait! It’s… it’s the death of the battlefield! The Band of the Hawk, lead by the White Hawk Griffith!”
You felt bile bubbling up in your throat as the theme song began. “Hey, Jackson,” you blurt out with unease, “can you pause?”
“What? Why?” He questioned. “The episode’s just starting.”
“Nevermind, I’ll just-” Separating yourself from your boyfriend’s grip and standing up to his confusion, you ran from the living room, down the hallway to push the bathroom door open, getting to the toilet just in time to heave your dinner upwards.
“Feel no shame about shape, weather changes no phrase-”
The music was cut off by Jackson finally pausing the show, you barely hearing BamBam’s protest over your heaving. Moments later Jackson was behind you, holding up your hair and rubbing your back. You had already started to shake, tears springing from your eyes. Your nausea hit so suddenly, your heaving dry and triggering a panic attack. You were lucky that your breathing wasn’t that affected when they were directly tied to vomiting.
“What’s gotten into you?” Jackson asked, you unable to answer him. Soon after, you heard Mark enter the room, washcloth already in hand as he turned to the sink to wet it. “You’re usually not squeamish about that at all!”
“Calm down, Jackson,” Mark retorted. “Don’t pressure her.” “Hey, is (Y/N) okay?” BamBam asked, peeking in from the door. With a deep breath, you finally finished heaving, sitting up and raising a shaky hand to grab the washcloth. Instead, Mark denied you and kneeled down to begin to wipe your face himself. You felt dirty and uneasy, heartburn still sizzling in your chest. You felt hot, but there was a little bit of relief as the cold washcloth was gently dragged over your face.
“With shakes like this, tears and all, she’ll probably need to go to see a doctor,” Mark said. “She has pretty bad panic attacks when she vomits. Come on, let’s go.”
Jackson let go of your hair, gently helping you stand. “To think, you getting squeamish over blood. This is what, your 20th time watching this series? Sometimes I even think you have a blood kink.” You barely managed to crack a smile at Jackson’s comment. “Very funny,” you retort weakly, fighting back the urge to start vomiting again, picking yourself up as best you could.
“Are we going to the hospital?” BamBam asked, to Mark’s nod and his own dismay. “Awww, I was so excited, too!”
~ Nearly an hour and one more vomiting session later, you, Jackson, Mark and BamBam were all sitting and waiting for your verdict. The doctor had insisted that she do a few quick tests, much to your confusion, but you were compliant through Mark’s nagging.
You were laid down in a hospital cot with some warm blankets, your brother and your best friend sitting in chairs around you, Jackson sitting on the edge of your bed. Since it was so late at night, nearly nobody was around, so BamBam and Mark were talking freely as Jackson held your hand.
“You’re feeling better now, right?” Jackson asked. You could see that concern still written on his face.
“Yes, for the fourth time, I’m feeling better.” “Hungry?” “A little bit.”
Jackson patted your hand, you breathing a sigh of relief when he finally smiled. “Okay, I’ll go get some more ice chips.”
Jackson got up and pulled back the privacy curtain a little bit, sticking his hands in his pockets and strolling out of the room to get ice chips for you. You spent the next few minutes staring up at the ceiling, tapping your finger against the blanket. You didn’t exactly know what kind of tests the doctor was running, but you figured it was nothing bad since she hasn’t come back yet. You were honestly a bit tired, but unable to doze off due to the conversation happening about a foot away from you.
“Pleaaaase Mark? Please tell me!” BamBam whined, grabbing onto Mark’s hands and showing off those cute puppy eyes that you could never say no to. However…
“I’m not falling for that,” Mark denied quickly, to another desperate whine from your best friend. Rolling your eyes, you waited for BamBam to turn to you. “Does she? Does she like me?” He pleaded, giving you the same treatment as your brother. “You must really be desperate,” you comment with a sly grin. “Asking for a sick girl to settle your disputes,”
“It’s not a dispute!” BamBam remarked. “I want to know if Kinsey likes me!”
You rolled your eyes. “You’re probably not going to accept no as an answer anyways,” you remark. “If I told you no, would you believe me?” “No,” BamBam agreed, “I’d think you’re just messing with me.” “Exactly,” you remark. “You won’t find out until you ask her. Just put a little courage in that skinny body of yours.” “I’ve got plenty of courage!” BamBam argued, puffing out his chest. Both you and Mark chuckled at him, you shake your head with a smile.
“Sure you do,” Jackson remarked, signifying his return, the doctor trailing behind him. You whispered ‘thanks’ as he handed the ice chips to you, sitting down next to you on your bed as everyone turned to pay attention to the doctor. She was different than the doctor originally attending you, piquing your curiosity as you popped a spoonful of ice chips in your mouth.
“Hi, I’m Doctor Summers,” she greeted with a smile. “I’m an Obstetrician.” You and Jackson both looked at each other, wide-eyed and eyebrows raised. “What?” Mark asked, clearly surprised.
“What (Y/N) has been experiencing is morning sickness. We took your urine sample, and it turns out that you’re six weeks pregnant, congratulations!” Doctor Summers smiled down at you, handing the papers to Jackson, who barely broke eye contact with you to read the word ‘positive’ over multiple times. “Oh my God,” BamBam remarked, you and Jackson too stunned to speak. “Oh my God!”
“I’m going to be an uncle,” Mark whispered. “Holy…”
“Hey, um, Doctor Summers, was it?” Jackson asked, turning away from you and standing up. “Yes?” “Is it okay if I, um… let off a little steam here?” “As long as you don’t break anything…” she answered slowly, raising her eyebrows at him.
“Can I be loud?” “Uh, with… within reason.”
“WAHOOO!!!!” Jackson’s signature excited smile had quickly spread across his face, Doctor Summers backing out of his way, Mark and BamBam scooting their chairs away as he danced around the limited amount of space. He was borderline yelling out of excitement, and you were glad that this happened so late at night. You were just as excited, but you knew that Mark would pile drive you back into your bed if you tried to get up and jump around as well. You were dancing as best you could in your sitting position, Mark and BamBam still too shocked to move.
“I’m going to be a dad!” Jackson exclaimed, dancing back to you and planting an excited kiss on your lips. “WOOOOO!”
“We’re going to be parents!” You exclaim alongside your boyfriend, kissing him twice, three times. “I can’t believe it!”
“Okay, quiet down,” Doctor Summers shushed you both. You and Jackson both ceased talking but were still dancing as you sat, biting back giggles of happiness. “Were you trying?”
“Yeah,” you admit sheepishly. “I’ll admit that we wanted to keep it a secret, though,” you turn your head to look at your brother, now staring daggers in Jackson’s direction. BamBam was still too shocked to say anything, his mouth hanging open.
“Well, I congratulate you nonetheless. Make sure to pick up some prenatal vitamins tomorrow to start your routine, okay? No more alcohol, either.” She smiled warmly at you. “I can discharge you now if you’re ready to go home.”
“Thank you, Doctor,” you nod your head politely.
“I don’t think you’ll need a wheelchair, right?” She asks. “No, I’ll be fine. Although… my brother might need it.”
Doctor Summers chuckled. “We sadly can’t issue him one unless he’s a patient. I’m afraid that you’ll have to employ someone to piggyback him out,”
“Well, that will be an ordeal,” you answer with a small giggle, Doctor Summers then turned to leave, waving with a smile.
“Mark, BamBam, time to go home,” you announce. You sit up further in bed. Jackson stood up to help you swing your legs over the side and stand up, but nobody else moved. “Come on you two, let’s go.”
“Close your mouth, dumbo, you look like you’re drooling,” Jackson criticized, fingers now intertwining with yours.
BamBam stood cautiously, his mouth finally closing. “Are you sure she didn’t lie?” He whispered, locking his eyes to your stomach. “Is there really a person in there?” He stood up, tentatively reaching out a hand to touch you. “Yep,” you reply with a smile, gently prompting BamBam to touch your stomach. “Come on now, let’s go home.” “Will they start kicking?” He asked. “Jeez, you’re like a 5-year-old,” you comment, laughing. “Not yet.”
“Aww,” BamBam straightened up to walk alongside you and Jackson, Mark trailing behind slowly. “I feel like my life is going to end tonight,” Jackson whispered. You only rolled your eyes. “I swear to whatever exists up in the high heavens, Jackson, that I will end your life if you leave her,” Mark threatened darkly. “You can throw all your ‘Markson’ crap out the window right now if you even think for a second that it’s going to save you.”
“Jesus, Mark, calm down,” you retort. “We’ve been trying for three months now.”
“All the more reason to make sure my threat is clear.”
~ The next day, you woke up to breakfast in bed, a nice shower, a treat to lunch and your first round of prenatal vitamins. Jackson was more accommodating for you despite your protests, but you still found it extremely flattering. Later that day, you had decided to break the news to the other group members.
“So, what do you have us all gathered here for, exactly?” Jaebum asked as he gripped the neck of his beer. “You both seem a little more… jumpy than usual.”
“I think I know!” Yugyeom exclaimed excitedly, raising his hand. “Shh!” You put your fingers to your lips, raising your eyebrows threateningly at him.
“We have an announcement,” Jackson said, wrapping an arm around your shoulders as you stood before your friends. He was still avoiding eye contact with Mark, who also still seemed adamant on the ‘if looks could kill’ stare at your boyfriend.
“I’m pregnant!”
“You’re what?” Jinyoung asked, raising his eyebrows at you.
You scanned your eyes over the room, Jaebum now mercilessly chugging his beer, Yugyeom quickly standing up to excitedly bound over to you for a hug, Youngjae’s mouth was hanging open in shock, and finally, Jinyoung was grinning, but gripping the arm of the couch so hard that it looked like it was going to rip.
BamBam and Mark were still on another plane of existence, sitting on opposite sides of the room. Mark still hadn’t ceased his stare, but a small smile was starting to show. BamBam seemed excited, but you could still see the shock in his eyes. “How far along are you?” Yugyeom asked, hugging you so tightly that Jackson had to pry him off you, but Yugyeom didn’t stay separated from you for long. “Six weeks!”
“Six weeks and you didn’t tell us until now?” Youngjae exclaims.
“We only found out last night,” Jackson answers. “We didn’t want to waste any time in telling you but when we got back from the hospital last night you all were asleep.”
“To think we’re all going to be uncles,” Jinyoung commented sheepishly. “I never expected it to happen so fast.”
“But it’s great, isn’t it?!” You grin childishly, giggling out of excitement. “Promise me that you’ll name the kid after me!” Youngjae exclaims excitedly. “I’ll teach them how to dab!” BamBam remarks, standing to join the hug Yugyeom pushed past Jackson for, Jackson in turn pushing past both of them to be the closest one to you.
“If you teach my kid to dab I’ll kill you,” Jackson threatened slyly. Jaebum finally finished his beer, placing it down on the coffee table, joining the hug that was soon about to become a cuddle pile. “This kid is going to be spoiled rotten,” he says under his breath. “I love them already.”
Jinyoung was the next to join, then BamBam, Youngjae, and finally Mark were a part of the giant hug. You rested your head against Jackson’s shoulder, the warmth and love of all your boys allowing a sense of safety to wash over you. “You’ll be loved, little one,” you whisper to your stomach. “So loved.”
