I think I have to tell you that you're borderline genius.
I would consider it to be closer to borderline madness to be honest. A healthy person would not do what I have done.
#ask#I do appreciate the sentiment though!#but uh…yeah I sure have persisted in my efforts to draw and make comics despite everything#I have been choosing kindness towards myself more often (hense the slower uploads) but I’m genuinely ill about comics at all times#a healthy person would not do this to themselves. You would be appalled what ‘this’ entails.#At the end of the day I love telling stories and making people laugh. That’s one of the reasons I stay sane#Don’t worry about me though - It’s been a tough month for lots of reasons. Many of which are soon to resolve.#art is still fun (despite the fact I’ve lately struggled to get comics done on time - I still love it a lot!)

okay. au thing (?) i needed to get out of my head (its been sitting there for 2 months) its pretty half baked so bear with me

more context/ drawings under the cut:
im not sure if this has been done before, im pretty out of it fandom wise,, but!! this takes place during "Time Traveler's Pig" (s1 ep9)
the idea is that, while fighting over the time tape, dipper and mabel end up running into krampus and henceforth get taken by the krampus and the time tape gets dropped/ left behind in the process (classic)
ford hears the ruckus ofc and goes to investigate like he does in tbob j3 pages and also gets taken by krampus,, dipper and mabel see him and assume it must be a young stan or something bc at this point in the show they don't know anything!
they've never met bill, they only really know/remember mcgucket from the gobblewonker, and they don't know stan has a brother
so they just assume life was hard on stan and he looks different because he's younger (something still feels off to them ofc)
anyway story proceeds how it does in canon, ford is arguing at the krampus while dipper and mabel remember that they dropped the time tape and are also trying to plot a way out, mcgucket shows up and saves the day, and because dipper and mabel don't really know where to go from here, they decide to see if that guy is stan (which he is but not the one they're thinking of)

they all make their way back to the lab/shack for the time being, dipper and mabel find the time tape on the way back and it's damaged (another classic) so ford and mcgucket will have to fix it ofc
some conversations are exchanged, information is gleaned, dipper and mabel watch tv to pass the time and end up seeing on of stan's commercials on the tv and the dots start to slowly connect that something is going on here

those are the more. fleshed out concepts, everything else is pretty vague and undecided but ill also probably never revisit this
some more details/thoughts:
- ford is wearing no winter clothes bc im assuming when he grabbed the lantern to investigate the foot prints, he didn't think much and just threw on his boots or something, which is why he has to take refuge in that cave to stave off frostbite
- dipper and mabel don't connect that old man mcgucket is fiddleford mcgucket bc i don't think they a) think about mcgucket that much to make that connection at this point and b) assume he's just related and not the same person given how old old man mcgucket looks
-dipper does have the journal on him but he's keeping it hidden ofc just in case,, after they find out about stan he'd find out ford is the author probably but i don't want him figuring it out beforehand bc it would complicate things (i also don't think hed show ford his journal bc of. time/ space continuum reasons
- maybe bill will show up or something i dunno. dipper and mabel are armed with the j3 that knows bill is dangerous but they've also never met bill
- idk if they'll find out about the portal, idk if mabel will try and bring stan and ford together, idk what happens,, maybe the time police catch them before they do anything,, shrugging my shoulders
-this au doesn't really have a point i just wanted to draw it bc its fun for me to think about the implications !!
#long post#gravity fall au#crumbs of an au anyway idk#this is kind of nothing burger sorry#if this doesn't make sense im blaming sleep deprivation#gravity falls#dipper pines#mabel pines#stanford pines#fiddleford mcgucket#worms doodles

also in regards to that last article about varied ways of thinking about psychosis/altered states that don't just align with medical model or carceral psychiatry---I always love sharing about Bethel House and their practices of peer support for schizophrenia that are founded on something called tojisha kenkyu, but I don't see it mentioned as often as things like HVN and Soteria House.
ID: [A colorful digital drawing of a group of people having a meeting inside a house while it snows outside.]
"What really set the stage for tōjisha-kenkyū were two social movements started by those with disabilities. In the 1950s, a new disability movement was burgeoning in Japan, but it wasn’t until the 1970s that those with physical disabilities, such as cerebral palsy, began to advocate for themselves more actively as tōjisha. For those in this movement, their disability is visible. They know where their discomfort comes from, why they are discriminated against, and in what ways they need society to change. Their movement had a clear sense of purpose: make society accommodate the needs of people with disabilities. Around the same time, during the 1970s, a second movement was started by those with mental health issues, such as addiction (particularly alcohol misuse) and schizophrenia. Their disabilities are not always visible. People in this second movement may not have always known they had a disability and, even after they identify their problems, they may remain uncertain about the nature of their disability. Unlike those with physical and visible disabilities, this second group of tōjisha were not always sure how to advocate for themselves as members of society. They didn’t know what they wanted and needed from society. This knowing required new kinds of self-knowledge.
As the story goes, tōjisha-kenkyū emerged in the Japanese fishing town of Urakawa in southern Hokkaido in the early 2000s. It began in the 1980s when locals who had been diagnosed with psychiatric disorders created a peer-support group in a run-down church, which was renamed ‘Bethel House’. The establishment of Bethel House (or just Bethel) was also aided by the maverick psychiatrist Toshiaki Kawamura and an innovative social worker named Ikuyoshi Mukaiyachi. From the start, Bethel embodied the experimental spirit that followed the ‘antipsychiatry’ movement in Japan, which proposed ideas for how psychiatry might be done differently, without relying only on diagnostic manuals and experts. But finding new methods was incredibly difficult and, in the early days of Bethel, both staff and members often struggled with a recurring problem: how is it possible to get beyond traditional psychiatric treatments when someone is still being tormented by their disabling symptoms? Tōjisha-kenkyū was born directly out of a desperate search for answers.
In the early 2000s, one of Bethel’s members with schizophrenia was struggling to understand who he was and why he acted the way he did. This struggle had become urgent after he had set his own home on fire in a fit of anger. In the aftermath, he was overwhelmed and desperate. At his wits’ end about how to help, Mukaiyachi asked him if perhaps he wanted to kenkyū (to ‘study’ or ‘research’) himself so he could understand his problems and find a better way to cope with his illness. Apparently, the term ‘kenkyū’ had an immediate appeal, and others at Bethel began to adopt it, too – especially those with serious mental health problems who were constantly urged to think about (and apologise) for who they were and how they behaved. Instead of being passive ‘patients’ who felt they needed to keep their heads down and be ashamed for acting differently, they could now become active ‘researchers’ of their own ailments. Tōjisha-kenkyū allowed these people to deny labels such as ‘victim’, ‘patient’ or ‘minority’, and to reclaim their agency.
Tōjisha-kenkyū is based on a simple idea. Humans have long shared their troubles so that others can empathise and offer wisdom about how to solve problems. Yet the experience of mental illness is often accompanied by an absence of collective sharing and problem-solving. Mental health issues are treated like shameful secrets that must be hidden, remain unspoken, and dealt with in private. This creates confused and lonely people, who can only be ‘saved’ by the top-down knowledge of expert psychiatrists. Tōjisha-kenkyū simply encourages people to ‘study’ their own problems, and to investigate patterns and solutions in the writing and testimonies of fellow tōjisha.
Self-reflection is at the heart of this practice. Tōjisha-kenkyū incorporates various forms of reflection developed in clinical methods, such as social skills training and cognitive behavioural therapy, but the reflections of a tōjisha don’t begin and end at the individual. Instead, self-reflection is always shared, becoming a form of knowledge that can be communally reflected upon and improved. At Bethel House, members found it liberating that they could define themselves as ‘producers’ of a new form of knowledge, just like the doctors and scientists who diagnosed and studied them in hospital wards. The experiential knowledge of Bethel members now forms the basis of an open and shared public domain of collective knowledge about mental health, one distributed through books, newspaper articles, documentaries and social media.
Tōjisha-kenkyū quickly caught on, making Bethel House a site of pilgrimage for those seeking alternatives to traditional psychiatry. Eventually, a café was opened, public lectures and events were held, and even merchandise (including T-shirts depicting members’ hallucinations) was sold to help support the project. Bethel won further fame when their ‘Hallucination and Delusion Grand Prix’ was aired on national television in Japan. At these events, people in Urakawa are invited to listen and laugh alongside Bethel members who share stories of their hallucinations and delusions. Afterwards, the audience votes to decide who should win first prize for the most hilarious or moving account. One previous winner told a story about a failed journey into the mountains to ride a UFO and ‘save the world’ (it failed because other Bethel members convinced him he needed a licence to ride a UFO, which he didn’t have). Another winner told a story about living in a public restroom at a train station for four days to respect the orders of an auditory hallucination. Tōjisha-kenkyū received further interest, in and outside Japan, when the American anthropologist Karen Nakamura wrote A Disability of the Soul: An Ethnography of Schizophrenia and Mental Illness in Contemporary Japan (2013), a detailed and moving account of life at Bethel House. the 'evil imposter' just wants to be a baker!
Prologue: The Foodie turned Imposter?!
Part 7: Dawn Winery's Grapevine
[ part 6 ] || [ masterlist ] || [ part 8 ]
divider is made by @/saradika-graphics
"It's best we go now and tell Amber that we didn't find anything." Aether decided, having finished eating, you found yourself walking Paimon and Aether out of the hilichurl camp, your warm friend was dozing off after having their fill of wood and pinecones.
"That would be true." You couldn't help but feel a bit sad having to part with them, though your time in this world was short, it felt forever since you had any decent human conversation. Sure the pyro slime and the hilichurls were very welcoming and accomodating but it was hard to have a clear conversation with them due to a language barrier, and the few people you had met in Mondstadt were either a rumored puppet (Katheryne) or tried to kill you in the end (Jean and Lisa).
Noticing your disappointment, the blond haired boy promised you something that made your smile return "Don't worry, I'm not leaving you permanently. I'll come by once the close is clear but. ."
He eyed the Hilichurl group "I think you shouldn't stay here any longer, the knights might come to take care of this camp before it gets to big. . they may find you."
Your eyes widened slightly, you didn't want the Hilichurls who took you in to get hurt. . "I'll keep that in mind. ."
"Here." His hand glowered brightly as he brought out a bow and a quiver filled with arrows, "This should help you in the long run." he said, he didn't want to leave you, not when you clearly couldn't fight to protect your life, but being with him while Mondstadt had his eyes on him would only risk you getting found out.
"Thank you. ." despite your hesitance you forced yourself to take the weapon. . 'right. . I shouldn't hesitate. They never did, so I shouldn't. Not when my life is on the line.'
When the duo had left in the dead of the night, you turned around, basking once more in the peaceful hilichurl tribe. Most of them were asleep, cuddling with each other for warmth near the weak bonfire that your pyro buddy managed.
The children were latched onto the older ones, the samachurl dozing off while stilling sitting, clutching their staff in their hands. Knowing that the Hilichurls were overprotective of you (for a reason you cannot quite comprehend at the present), you decided you must leave the hilichurl group for both of your own safety's. But not now, you at least wanted to be just a bit selfish.
You sat next to the dozing campfire, hugging your knees close to your chest. 'There's a lot to be done.' you thought, hand wondering to a nearby hilichurl's head, feeling their soft fur or hair, you found your fingers gently coming through the tangles.
Their origins were not unknown to you, and that made it harder for you to stay and leave them. To stay would put them at a risk of the knights attacking them to get through to you, while leaving them would damn them of the punishment placed on to them. You could not stay and defend them when she didn't even have any combat prowess.
Despite being a former culinary arts students, you had experience due to playing Genshin Impact. There was a way to make sure the hilichurl group would not be ill-equipped. Of course helping them get stronger may mean they'd end up hurting innocent civilians but. . they were much better than the people, so you didn't need much more convincing.
Come the next few days you helped in fortifying their walls and making simple watch towers out of wood so their archers would have better leverage. Of course all you did was draw the watchtower and they understood what you were trying to convey to start building it.
The Samachurl was also able to help with communication, but they way that the Sama looked at you meant he was beginning to understand why you had them do these things. You thought the younger hilichurls how to cook and prepare food that weren't just meat but also those with vegetables.
"You need to eat your vegetables okay?" "nye!" a hilichurl huffed, crossing their arms and turning away. "Hey!"
You also accompanied them when they went hunting and foraging, they taught you how to prepare birds and boars to turn into food and meet, while you taught them how to season them and prepare it so the food will last longer.
They helped you learn how to use a bow and in turn the first prey you had caught were given to them. When you realized that they were now able to live more efficiently, you decided to leave that particular night.
You left half of the food and ingredients you had foraged, the rest going into your inventory. As you walked out of the camp, you found yourself turning back only to flinch at the Samachurl who appeared right in front of you.
"Unu. ." the sadness in his voice conveyed that he knew you were about to leave, without planning to return. . at least for a long while.
Swallowing away your nerves, you responded by simply bowing deeply in respect and gratitude "Valo. . for everything."
"a. .ah." the Samachurl coughed, once again he spoke in broken human language. . "p. please, come back, ye unu. . we're your odomu." and he bowed in front of you, much deeper, almost falling to the ground as he regarded with reverence.
You straightened up, feeling a mixture of emotions as you approached him, arms enveloping his much smaller form as you placed a kiss on his forehead. "I will."
🏹⁀➴˚ ✦ ˑ ִֶ 𓂃⊹
Find yourself alone made you feel solemn and rather lonely, but you resisted the urge to go back. Due to the terrain of Brightcrown mountains, there were so few paths you could take. Since you weren't a skilled rock climber nor did you feel safe swimming at cider lake with its proximity to city of freedom, you decided to take the path that lead south, to the sub area Windwail Highland.
Windwail Highland consisted of Dawn Winery, Wolvendom and Springvale. Your goal was to go to Wolvendom, due to it being home to the wolves, it was a less popular sight in the region. There were few people there, actually you were sure that there would only be one person to worry about, Razor.
Wolvendom held something precious you would need after all, Wolfhook, it was not because you wanted to try cooking with them. . . okay partly it was, but it was mainly for its medicinal properties! Since you couldn't go to the city and get healed by someone like Barbara, you could only rely on homemade remedies and recovery food.
Of course recovery food were for hp in the end, you don't think they'll heal any broken bones you may get along the way. But since you didn't know how to exactly use them, you also had to improvise this entire journey of yours to make sure you live.
You eyed the lake that entered your vision, as your hand placed itself on a waypoint, ignoring it whirl to life you turn to the fork in the path. One leading to the winery, the other leading to Liyue. If Aether hadn't told you why you were being targeted by Mondstadt, you'd have probably escape to Liyue using this path by now but. .
if Mondstadt, the city of freedom itself wanted you dead without any due process, what of Liyue? Liyue, a region steeped in tradition, this creator was respected in the entire continent. . thinking about it, there wasn't really any safe places for you to go to, to seek refuge in.
Even if there were people who would willingly protect you and house you, you'd no doubt feel guilty for putting them in potential harm's way. You massaged the lower half of your face as you decided to continue trekking on, but instead of feeling your skin, you felt a fabric around you. "Ah right" you murmur as you remembered making a half-assed veil to cover the majority of your face. The hilichurl masked had been an option but that would garner more attention to yourself as a human dressed as a hilichurl.
But with the apparel you were wearing you could easily play yourself off as being a nomad from a far of region, possibly the Sumeru Desert, the clothes would be close enough to it and considering there were few or none sumeru visitors in Mondstadt except for Lisa (who has been away from the dendro region for years) then you were safe.
The smell of grapes seemed to linger around the area now, and lo and behold, you could see Dawn Winery with its grapevines in full glory. Curiously you stopped to stare, watching as numerous maids and workmen were hauling the harvest to the house.
"Oh hello there, is there anything we can do for you?" You flinched as you turned to find a maid approach her, one with short light blonde hair and green eyes, her appearance was very familiar to her but the name was definitely on the tip of your tongue.
"U-uh no, sorry I just smelled some grapes." You awkwardly stood, wondering if the maid knew about the wanted 'Imposter' on the loose.
The woman nodded, a smile on her face. "I see, here at Dawn Winery, we grow a lot of varieties of grapes that are used for our wine and some other special ingredients." she added helpfully.
"Is it harvesting season then?" you asked curiously, the woman nodded "yes, for one of our rotations. We are actually hiring some adventurers for some labor. Are you by chance one of those adventurers who saw our request?"
Immediately you shook your head "Ah I'm an adventurer, yes. But I haven't seen this request of yours."
"Ah I see"
Seeing her disappointment you added "however if you still need an extra pair of hands, I can help." you offered and she instantly smiled. "That's great, why don't you follow me and I can explain to you what we need to do!"
You nodded, taking a steady pace as you followed behind the woman who'd you come to realize was Adelinde. All you had to do was harvest the grapes in one section of the winery, then help with the cleaning then the delivery of a wine. "Apparently, the Knights are ordering for abled men to partake in the hunt of a person impersonating out great Creator." Adeline offhandedly mentioned, which explained why most of the people in the area were either maids or much older workers that probably did not meet Jean's standards for participants.
"I see, that must have been a trouble for your business." You nodded along as you grabbed a wooden basket, and started working. You were too far into it to leave anyways, and hopefully they'd pay you a lot for the menial labor. Maybe finally you could escape the nightmare that is minimum wage.
The grapes looked juicy and plump, you were almost tempted on snacking on a few but you didn't want to return Adelinde's kindness with eating their grapes. You could probably make some raisins with the grapes.
"Oh Master Kaeya, what are you doing here?" You flinched at Adelinde who was greeting a boy with dark blue hair. "Hello Adelinde" he greeted respectfully, without a hint of teasing. From the corner of your eye you could see him interact with the maid.
A shaky sigh escaped your lips, hoping the captain would not notice you. "I heard you were short on hands so I thought I'd stop by and assist you."
"Don't tell me you ditched your work." The woman huffed, hands on her hips, but she didn't look too annoyed. "Maybe, maybe not. But it's okay, Diluc is working with the Knights at Jean's behest." He waved her off.
"I see, thank you for your help. . but are you sure? this situation is very important. It is true that there is an imposter like in the prophecy?" Adelinde asked with a hush whisper, but you found that the wind carried their voices to you making it easier for you to eavesdrop.
"Supposedly, but I would not rule out this imposter for simply having a few similar features with her divinity." Kaeya said with a small sigh, the maid skeptically wondered "that is true but. . are they truly going to execute this person on sight. . what if they are actually the creator?"
If Adelinde had a choice, she would rather give it time to truly determine this person's status before deciding to execute them on the spot.
"I would agree. But maybe Diluc could bring reason to Jean."
"Hopefully, Jean has always been fond of Diluc, maybe she'd listen to him."
Oh? did that mean Jean did have feelings for the red haired dark knight? you couldn't help but cover your mouth with your hand, finding the tea to be interesting.
"But you know, I wonder why Jean is acting like this, usually she's so level headed." Adelinde sighed cupping her cheek in dismay, she was quite disappointed with the acting grand master's choice of actions.
"Well you know it is quite a sensitive topic, it seems like she wants to curry favor with the great Creator after being neglected." Kaeya unabashedly exposed Jean's secrets. You blinked in confusion, hands stopping as if frozen from harvesting another grapevine. Jean was neglected by the creator?
'so like mommy issues or God Issues?'
You couldn't help but ponder the implications of what was revealed to you, that meant that the God was still active in some ways but still silent.
Then you remembered something, you had jean, you had pulled for a character you had wanted only to lose 50/50, and because by then she was out of meta you didn't bother using her, only building her to get the few free wishes. .
You nearly dropped your basket as something cold washed over you. . something, something was clearly wrong.
°🥂⋆.ೃ🍾࿔*:・
After harvesting all the ready grapes in the section Adelinde instructed you, you found them ready the grapes into wooden buckets as the other more experienced maids handled the work. "Why don't you take a seat and wait, the others are loading up the wine in the cart." Adelinde offered as you nodded in relief, you found your feet hurting from standing on unpaved paths without any proper protection.
"By the way," you flinched, turning to Adeline who simply smiled at you, unaware of your unease "I never got your name."
"It's [Name]." you said with a slight nod as you then headed to the chairs and tables scattered around the estate. You felt your stomach rumble, finding yourself starving. You should cook something, you wondered if you can borrow the nearby cooking pot. "Why hello there?"
Your eyes widened, turning to meet Kaeya, how long had he been aware of your presence? how long had you been distracted by your hunger to not notice him approaching?
"I've never met you before, you are?"
"[name] just a nomad." you answered with a frown, eyes narrowing at the captain. What was he up to? even though he seemed to not agree with Jean's witch trial, he was still a wildcard.
"Oh? from where?" he took the seat next to you, a smile plastered on his face.
"The desert in Sumeru."
Your answers were short and had a sharp edge, but it did not deter the Cavalry captain who only seemed more and more amused. You wondered whether Aether trusted the man enough to tell him about what he knew of you.
"Oh really? I've never been there before. What's it like?"
"Unbearably hot during the day, cold during the night. There are also a lot of eremites and mercenary." You answered. Could he even confirm or deny your claims? sure he had connections, but did it reach towards Sumeru who was quite far?
His fingers tapped the wooden table that separated the two of you, "I've never been to Sumeru before, could you tell me more about it?" he asked, putting on his charismatic tone. "What do you care for then?" you gritted out.
"How about the cuisine?"
Your eyes widened slightly, and you found yourself going into a long rant about the food in Sumeru. Although you could never truly describe it's by its taste, having never eaten it. You vividly remember its description.
"The pita pockets are very tasty and filling, I made it once (recreated) and it was delicious. You can change the fillings, I tried one with a filling similar to what I usually use in Quesadillas. But you can change it to have some lettuce or tomatoes and pork. But if you want a dish you can try the Tandoori Roast Chicken, it's similar to the Sweet Madame but instead of being sweet it's more savory with spices." You continued on ranting as Kaeya blinked, he was not expecting this.
He wasn't able to cut in for awhile as you passionately talked about the food from Sumeru, sometimes you complained about the ingredients, other times you gushed about how delicious it was when you cooked it or how disappointed you were when you hadn't.
"Personally I always wanted to try their Shawarma wraps, but I haven't had the chance to recreate it as well as the Rose custard. I love pudding, what about you?"
"oh uh" he blinked again, not expecting you to stop as you, again, were rather passionate. Realizing it as well, you reeled back, cheeks and ears taking on a rosy hue as you apologized, definitely embarrassed for chatting his ears off.
"It's alright" he found himself chuckling, for some reason, when you had your guard down and began talking with such passion, he found himself relaxing, warming up to your more genuine side.
"Personally I'd prefer a good meal that could be paired with some wine." He commented, he propped his arm up by placing his elbow on the table, as he leaned his cheek on his palm. "Since you came from Sumeru, have you tried any Mondstadt dishes?"
You shook your head, you didn't have a chance to because of Jean and Lisa, you bitterly thought. "How about I treat you?" he offered and suddenly the sound of your stomach pitifully grumbling was heard, you wanted to die as he said with an amused smile "I'll take that as a yes then."
Rather than actually buying you food, he took it upon himself to cook you something. The blue haired knight had borrowed the kitchen in the Ragnvindr estate. You sat patiently on a stool as you watched him worked, wondering if he was always this easy going with people? To cook for someone, well to you that was rather intimate after all.
You smelled the scent of fruit, and quickly you realized he was making his signature dish. If cooking for someone you just met wasn't intimate, then cooking your signature dish for someone you weren't even close to was definitely intimate.
"Here you go, a plate of my famous Fruity Skewers." he said after a few moments, presenting you with a plate with his signature dishes. It looked more appetizing than the base recipe which was the chicken-mushroom skewers, you could see the slices of cucumber and onions paired with the chicken and mushrooms which had a shiny coat to it, probably from the wine he used to marinate. With a hum you took a skewer and bit into it.
Kaeya watched with slight interest at how your eyes sparkled from the dish, you licked your lips after finishing a skewer and when you turned to him, any apprehension you had towards him was gone. "This is delicious!"
When you had recreated his signature dish back at home, you clearly didn't do any justice for his signature dish. Perhaps it was the wine, no, it was definitely the wine you had used that failed to capture it's essense.
"I'm glad you liked it. You are. . quite enamored with food huh?"
You weren't offended by his remarks, instead you proudly sat straighter, as you jabbed your thumb towards yourself "That's right. I'm a foodie."
"A foodie?" he repeated, a certain shift in his tone that you hadn't noticed.
"That's right," you smiled "a foodie is basically a person who is very interested in food!"
"That seems like an understatement, when I take you for an example." At his words you blushed, chuckling as you remembered how you rant off moments ago, on just the sumeru dishes alone.
The two of you began eating in the kitchens, you were sure Adelinde had pop by once but immediately closed the door but you weren't too sure. Kaeya wasn't bothered, taking the time to savor the meal as you decided to return the favor by making some desert.
I use he/they pronouns for the slime, they/them for hilichurls but some I used he/him. The samachurl is he/they. Since I'm writing a female reader, i usually use her, but it's mostly 'you'.
I'm sorry you had to leave them, it's for the story's progression.
oh and this story is going to be definitely lighthearted with a few pinches of angst, how you treat characters when you were playing the game will definitely affect their standing on you. Well at least in Jean's case.

Disabled Jayce (+ Viktor) HCs since no one else has done this:
-His leg healed wrong so he has constant pain
-Usually it’s not super bad but can flare up when he walks/does something physical too much
-Leg brace is enough some days but some days he needs a cane to help him
-Viktor shows him the best ways to talk care of his chronic pain
-They both have the weirdest sleeping positions
-If he’s working in the lab he’ll sometimes use a knee scooter (i imagine he built it) if he’s standing up for too long
-Now that he has to be out of the lab more so he can rest his leg, he takes up drawing more to keep his hands busy
-Used to make sure Viktor took care of himself, now they both make sure they take care of each other (aka both use their bad legs to guilt each other into taking breaks LOL)
-Has PTSD and panic attacks from his time in the cave, usually triggered by flare-ups
-Baths are his new favorite thing
-Struggles with his own internalized ableism now, but he doesn’t know how to cope with loving Viktor for everything he is while he has issues him own disability
-Viktor helps him see that he can miss being able-bodied while also loving Viktor
-Sometimes Jayce will doodle on Viktor’s leg when he’s resting
-Loves cooking for himself and Viktor as a means if self-care
-Viktor now understands why Jayce wanted to do everything to help Viktor with his illness because he wants to do the same w/ Jayce
-Help each other work on their respective mobility aids

work from 2023
outdated text: Qua'tuli's traditional adult north-east winter clothes when he returned home, around year 217-219 of GA, before recall (timeline is in the work, numbers might change one day). Altuyur is a hot moon, but only in the far north can temperate seasons can happen.
more infos on clothes below
info chart, I'll expand on some things I've pointed out in the drawing, so make sure to read the notes before reading the text below
The family's folklore animal:
The northern, puy'ul families always have an animal associated with them, said association is from history that happened with the animal, but the event has nowadays turned into folklore. The stories only being transmitted orally, they slowly diverge and change to be more fantastical. The emblem animal can start off as a regular one but slowly shift into more strange descriptions, eventually ending up as a unique beast. Even if two families have the same emblem animal, the stories will never be the same. The emblem animal will often be a coastal one. On Qua'tuli's clothes, it is found in a bone disk that is hollowed out, then tissue is placed under and attached on the side, and the animal is embroidered in the tissue. They believe that emblem animals will be here after their burial at sea has been done, they think the creature will pick their core at sea and return them to haanu.
Repeated Eye designs:
each region have a different depiction of haanu, maanul's all-mighty mother. In the north their version of her has plenty of eyes. constantly shifting from place to place like clouds passing in the sky, they slowly reemerge from her face to disappear in the wrinkles of flesh at the end of her snout. this is what haanu's face looks like in the north ->
a while i dont have an info chart of every version available yet (ill have a separate post for the subject), this is an old sketch but still very accurate! repeated eye patterns are seen as a protection symbol in north regions
Necklace to hide neck:
Not having clothes isn't inherently seen as sexual, as context matters, although in day-to-day life adults might have certain body parts to hide depending on region. In the north east, adult of both genders will hide their neck, and will also always have their keel hidden even in interiors when wearing lighter clothes. Although they can be shown to their partner in private settings, they're hidden for cultural beliefs.
As i said context matters so showing keel and neck in north east while bathing (they bathe in groups) will not be seen as a lack of decency, as the setting is them simply washing themselves
lucky charm
a tooth (of an unidentified animal) qua'tuli has found as a little child in the snow, while throwing himself in the powdered snow he just stumbled upon it and has kept it as his lucky charm. He actually has it with him as a recruit (inside a pocket), and when he came home after acquiring his iron talons he kept it on his foot glove.

Summary: When one spoke of the Lannisters, the last thing that came to the mind of anyone was familial love.
A/N: I apologize to everyone still waiting on pt 5 of Loving Arms, a lot has been going on in my personal life and I only had the energy to finish this one up. Hopefully this sort of makes up for it.
It had been a long journey for the pair, almost 5 months since the day that Jaime’s younger sister had turned five and ten name days old. The longest journey that the young girl had ever experienced in her life, spending much of it behind the walls of the Red Keep.
Despite the opposition from Cersei and Tywin, King Robert had a grand celebration done to celebrate the girl as he held a fondness for his slightly strange and quiet sister by law. It should have been a time of merriment, but only a Lannister like Tywin could find a way to bring the mood down when he had both Jaime and (Y/N) brought to his study to tell them that he intended on marrying his youngest daughter to the Mountain, Gregor Clegane.
Immediately both Jaime and (Y/N) were opposed to the idea of the girl marrying the man, it was an inconceivable thought. But there was little love from Tywin for his youngest daughter, born from a brief marriage, who only served as a reminder of being the wrong sex and cause of him losing another wife. It was a mere miracle that their pleading seemed to do anything and the Lannister patriarch agreed that if they could somehow convince the Warden of the North and Lord of Winterfell to agree to a match, then he would leave the girl be.
As they ride towards Winterfell with the cold air biting at their faces, Jaime can't help but feel a sense of unease the closer they get to it. In his mind, he is already planning out how to make this proposal of having young Robb Stark and his younger sister marry, sound as appealing as possible to Ned Stark. The man has always been a man of honor, but his disdain for Lannisters runs deep.
Jaime can't help but glance at his sister, her small frame huddled against the cold and heavily bundled with her cloak and furs. His protective instincts kick in, and he can't help but feel a pang of worry for her safety. There was a part of him that wished he had tried harder to have her stay behind, but another part of him knew that leaving her in the care of either of Cersei or his Father was out of the question. He figured it would be better to keep a closer eye on her as they approach Winterfell, his hand always ready to reach for his sword in case of danger and awareness that should she feel any colder, that he was sure that he had an additional cloak.
The snow begins to fall softly and (Y/N) looks up at the sky in childish wonder, so accustomed to the warm weather and heat, it wasn’t a surprise that she stopped her horse to stare. And Jaime can't help but smile at her awe, her expression filled with a wonder at seeing snow for the first time was one that he had missed. It filled him with regret that he had not been able to ensure that it was a constant for her and he watches her for a moment, the snowflakes catching in her hair and on her eyelashes.
"Pretty, isn't it?" he mutters, his voice affectionate.
“Very pretty!” she says as snowflakes fall on her hair.
He chuckles at her excitement, her childlike wonder making him smile.
"Careful, sweetling. You'll get covered in snow and we don’t want to risk you falling ill,” he mutters, reaching out to brush some snowflakes from her hair.
“But it's so nice Jaime!” she giggles but ultimately listened to her brother and put up the hood of her cloak.
Jaime grins at her words, her laughter filling the air. It's refreshing to see her so happy, so carefree, despite the daunting task that awaits them at Winterfell.
"Just be careful not to catch a cold," he mutters, his tone affectionate as he watches her put up her hood. "We don't need you sniffling and sneezing all the way to Winterfell."
But as they draw closer to Winterfell, Jaime can feel his nerves starting to fray as the anxious thoughts swirl in his mind. He reaches down to grip the pommel of his sword, his heartbeat picking up speed. He glances at his sister, who is looking up at Winterfell with wide eyes.
"Almost there, sweetling. Just stick close to me, alright?"
She nods but her excitement doesn’t fade.
Jaime leads her closer to the gates of Winterfell, his eyes sweeping the surrounding area for any sign of trouble as the horses trundle through. It is obvious to everyone that the Lannister siblings aren’t from there and the guards look at them with a mixture of suspicion and disdain, more so when they recognize the Lannister sigil on their cloaks. Jamie can feel his heart pounding in his chest, his mind racing as the guards call out for them to halt.
He reins in his horse as they approach the guards at the gate, his voice firm and commanding.
"We seek an audience with Lord Stark. Tell him Jaime Lannister wishes to speak with him."
One of the guards goes inside, and the remaining guard keeps a watchful eye on them, his hand resting on the hilt of his sword. Jaime tries to ignore the man's watchful gaze, his mind racing as he waits for Ned Stark's response. After some time had passes that felt like an eternity, the guard returns, a serious expression on his face.
"Lord Stark will see you," he says gruffly, his eyes flickering over Jaime and his sister.
The guard leads the way through the gates, and Jaime follows suite with his sister close behind him. The castle of Winterfell looms above them, its massive stones casting a massive shadow. The elder Lannister glances towards his sister, seeing the nervous look on her face and reaches back to give her hand a reassuring squeeze.
“Do you think it’s warmer than it looks?” she asks.
Jaime can't help but chuckle at her question, the innocence in her voice making his heart ache. He glances up at the imposing structure of Winterfell, the stone walls and turrets seeming to reach up to the very clouds themselves.
"Trust me, sweetling. Nothing can keep out the cold in the North. It's as cold as a witch's teat in there."
Jaime can't help but smile at her giggle, her laughter like a balm against his nerves.
“That’s not a proper joke to be making, Jaime” she laughs while trying to draw closer to her older brother.
"Just keep your cloak on tight, alright? We don't want you freezing to death before we even get inside."
She nods and tightens her cloak. Not far off they can see Ned Stark waiting for them. As they approach Lord Stark, Jaime can feel his heart hammering in his chest, the man's stern expression and steely gaze making the hair on the back of his neck stand on end. His sister shrinks back a little, her small frame dwarfed beneath her cloak.
"Lord Stark," he says, trying to keep his voice steady. "I appreciate you taking the time to see us."
Ned Stark nods at Jaime but looks at the girl curiously, “This is no place for such a young girl, why did you bring the little lion cub along?”
Jaime takes a deep breath, his mind racing as he tries to come up with a convincing explanation. He can feel his sister's small hand gripping his, the tension in the air thick enough to cut with a sword.
"She insisted on coming, Stark,” he replies, trying to keep his voice calm. "She's... she's always had a stubborn streak. There was no talking her out of it."
The young girl jumps down from her horse before anyone can help her down and curtsies in front of Ned Stark, “It's very nice to meet you ser.”
Ned Stark glances down at her, his stern expression softening a little at the sight of her curtsy. He looks at her for a long moment, his eyes taking in her small form and wide eyes.
"And what is your name, child?" he asks, his voice gruff but not unkind.
“(Y/N), ser” she says softly.
Ned Stark raises an eyebrow at her response, clearly taken aback by the name. He glances at Jaime, a flicker of surprise crossing his face. “(Y/N)? That’s quite a different name, isn’t it? Doesn’t sound very Lannister” he repeats, his voice tinged with curiosity now.
Jaime nods, “Her mother wanted something different than the usual Lannister names”
Ned Stark's expression softens a little more at the mention of her late mother, his voice taking on a slightly warmer tone. "I see. And how old are you, Little Lioness?"
She brightens, “I had my five and tenth birthday not that long ago ser”
Ned Stark's eyebrows raise at her response, a flicker of surprise crossing his face. “Five and tenth? You're nearly a woman grown then, Little Lioness," he says, his voice slightly amused.
“Yes ser, and that's a little of why my brother and I are here.”
Ned Stark glances at Jamie, his expression becoming serious again. "Is that so?" he says, his voice tinged with curiosity. "What is it then that brings the two of you all the way to Winterfell?"
Before either of the siblings can respond, she lets out a small high pitched sneeze and sniffles. Ned Stark looks down at her, his expression softening at the sight of her sneezing and sniffling. He glances at Jaime, a knowing look in his eyes.
"It's cold out here, Little Lioness. Perhaps it's best we go inside and speak in the warmth."
“Yes, please!” she thanks.
Ned Stark nods and leads the way towards the entrance of Winterfell, the massive doors opening to let them in. The heat of the castle envelops them, and Jaime can feel his sister relaxing as the cold air is left behind. The Lord of Winterfell leads them into what must have been his private study, a fire burning in the massive fireplace. He gestures for them to take a seat at a table, and takes a seat across from them, his expression betraying nothing. The man says nothing as he watches Jaime pulls out a chair and helps his sister sit, his expression softening again at the gesture. He watches the two of them for a moment before speaking.
"So," he says, his voice firm but not unkind. "What is it you wish to speak about?"
She looks nervously at her older brother and Jaime can feel the tension in the air, his sister's small form fidgeting nervously. He takes a deep breath, his mind racing as he tries to come up with the right words.
"We have a proposition to make, my lord," he says, his voice steady but his heart hammering in his chest.
Ned Stark leans back in his seat, his expression guarded. He folds his arms across his broad chest and regards them both with a serious gaze.
"Go on, then," he says gruffly.
Jaime takes another deep breath, his heart pounding in his ears as he knows there is no going back if they were to make their proposition. But with a glance at his sister, her eyes wide and nervous, and his protectiveness towards her only strengthens his resolve. He looks back at Ned Stark, bracing himself.
"We wish to propose a marriage."
An expression of surprise washes over Ned Stark, “For whom?”
Jaime swallows hard, his heart feeling like it's stuck in his throat. He knew this was the difficult part, the part that would decide it all. "For my sister," he says, his voice steady but firm. "With your son."
Ned Stark's expression darkens at the mention of his son, his eyes narrowing in suspicion and perhaps anger.
“With my son? Robb?”
Seeming to notice the man’s anger, (Y/N) interjects quietly, “Yes ser! But it was my idea, so please don't be angry with my brother.”
Ned Stark's expression softens somewhat at her words, his stern gaze shifting to regard her instead of Jaime. "It was your idea, you say?" he says, his voice still gruff but lacking some of the anger it had before.
“Yes, ser. I heard Starks were honorable.”
Ned Stark's expression softens further at her words, his voice taking on a slight hint of warmth. He looks at her for a moment, his eyes taking in her small form and earnest expression.
"And what led you to this conclusion, Little Lioness?"
“Very little ser, all my knowledge comes from books of history and rumors,” she says, “I hoped that the stories were true.”
Ned Stark's expression softens even more at her honesty, a hint of a smile playing at the corners of his mouth. "You're a well-read young lady, it seems," he says, his voice carrying a hint of approval. "But what makes you think I would even consider this proposal, let alone to a Lannister?"
Jaime looks at his sister, and feels a pang of sympathy for her. Her wide eyes are pleading him to reassure her, and he can feel the weight of Ned Stark's gaze on him. He takes a deep breath, steeling himself to defend her proposal.
"Please, he says, trying to keep his voice steady. "Hear her out before you make a decision."
Ned Stark glances back and forth between them, his expression still stern but now tinged with a hint of curiosity. He leans back in his seat, signaling that he is willing to listen.
“Our houses have had animosity for a long time, but I know we could accomplish much together” she says with as much confidence as she can muster, “and I also have a slight selfish reason for this betrothal as well.”
Ned Stark raises an eyebrow at her words, his expression betraying a hint of curiosity. He gestures for her to continue, clearly intrigued by her statement.
She fidgets with her skirt and shrinks in her seat, “Um.... before we came here, my father hoped to marry me off to the Mountain.”
Ned Stark's expression darkens immediately at her words, his eyes narrowing in anger.
"The Mountain? You mean Gregor Clegane?" he growls, disbelief and anger clear in his voice.
“Yes ser, to thank him for his service to our family.”
Ned Stark's expression is now one of absolute disgust, his hands balled into fists of outrage."You cannot be serious," he snaps. "To betroth a young girl to a man like Clegane... it's monstrous."
“It's why I then suggested your son, I thought if he was raised by a man like you, perhaps I could find some happiness” she murmurs. “And my father said if you somehow accepted, then he would not intervene.”
Ned Stark's expression softens, his anger subsiding a little at the girl's words. He looks at her for a long moment, his eyes taking in her small form and now the hint of desperation in her voice. "You wish to escape a marriage with the Mountain, and see my son as a suitable alternative," he says, his voice quiet but still firm.
“Yes ser.”
Ned Stark considers her for a long moment, his expression betraying a hint of sympathy now. He glances at Jaime for a moment, clearly weighing the situation in his mind.
"I see," he says slowly. "You understand this is a very serious proposal, don't you? Do you understand what it would mean if I agreed?"
“If I said yes, I would be lying” she says. “One thing is reading about such things and it's another to truly do them.”
Ned Stark nods, a hint of respect in his eyes. "I appreciate your honesty, Little Lioness," he says, his voice gruff but kind. "It takes a lot to admit such things, and it's a better quality than most people have."
He leans back in his seat, resting his chin on his fist as he contemplates the girl in front of him. He glances back and forth between the two Lannister siblings for a long moment, his mind clearly searching for a way forward. Finally, he speaks.
"I will give you an answer by the start of the new year," he says, his voice firm but not unkind. "In the meantime, you will be welcome here at Winterfell as my guests."
She lets out a small sigh of relief and looks to Jaime.
Jaime feels a weight lift off his shoulders at Ned Stark's answer. He smiles back at his sister, feeling a surge of relief and gratitude to the Northern lord. "Thank you, Stark,” he says, his voice firm but honest. "We are most grateful for your hospitality."
“Thank you! thank you!” She says gratefully.
The Lord of Winterfell nods at her, a slight smile flickering across his lips. "You're very welcome, Little Lioness," he says, his voice taking on a hint of gentleness. "But now, perhaps you should rest from your journey. You look quite exhausted."
But in that moment a knock comes at the door. All three of them turn their heads at the knock, and Jaime feels a flicker of curiosity.
"Who is it?" Lord Stark calls out.
“Father, may I come in?” calls out a voice belonging to a young man.
Ned Stark looks at the door, a flicker of surprise across his face. He looks at Jaime and the girl for a moment before answering. "Come in," he calls out gruffly.
Jaime watches as none other than Robb Stark enters the room, his eyes taking in the Stark heir. The young man looks a lot like his father, with the same stern expression and strong stature, but of course must take some after his mother judging by the boy’s auburn curls.
Surprise is etched on Robb’s face, “Oh, I apologize Father. I had no idea that we had guests.”
Ned Stark shakes his head, a slight smile on his face at his son's trepidation. "No need to apologize, Robb," he says, his voice gruff but not unkind. "These are two of our guests from King's Landing, Ser Jaime Lannister and his sister, (Y/N).”
Robb's eyes widen in surprise at the mention of their names, his gaze flitting between Jaime and the girl. He glances at his father, a hundred questions clearly running through his mind.
Ned Stark gestures for his son to come closer, "Why did you need to talk to me, son?" he asks, his eyes watching Robb carefully.
“We can discuss it later,” he says, his gaze on the Lannister girl making her blush.
Jaime notices right away as Robb's gaze has fixed on the girl, and he feels a flare of protectiveness towards her. He glances towards his sister, and notices the blush creeping into her cheeks under the Stark boy's gaze. Ned Stark notices the interaction between them as well, his eyes flicker between Robb and the girl for a moment. A slight smile tugs at the corner of his lips, but he remains silent, his gaze watchful.
“Hello, it's nice to meet you” Robb tells her as he offers a polite bow.
The girl looks up as Robb speaks, a hint of nervousness in her eyes. She blushes deeper under his gaze, but manages to speak quietly. "It's nice to meet you too," she says, her voice soft and shy.
Jaime watches as they speak, his eyes flickering between them. He can sense the interest in Robb's gaze, and the shy reaction from his sister. His protective instincts flare up within him, but he holds his tongue for now.
“Could I perhaps escort you to supper?” Robb asks her.
The girl looks up at Robb, surprise and excitement in her eyes. She turns to her older brother, clearly seeking his approval. Jaime would have preferred to escort her himself but nods slightly, silently giving his consent. He watches as she turns back to Robb, her voice still very slightly nervous.
"I... yes, I would like that," she says, a small smile on her lips.
Robb and the girl bow and curtsy respectively to the adults in the room then head towards the dining hall, arm in arm with bashful smiles on their faces.
Ned Stark watches as the two young people leave the room, his expression a mix of contemplation and slight amusement. He turns to Jaime, the slight smile still present on his face. "He's taken a shine to her, it seems," he notes, his voice gruff but not unkind.
“Yes,” Jaimes says. “I suppose that's a good thing.”
Ned Stark nods slowly, his eyes still contemplating the doorway where the youngsters had just exited. He turns back to Jaime, a hint of curiosity in his voice.
"Do you approve, Ser?" he asks, a hint of a challenge in his words.
“Of all of this?”
“As my sister said before, if I'm honest, I don't know” Jaime says as he attempts to keep the worry from his tone.
Ned Stark's expression softens slightly at Jaime's words, sensing the worry in his voice. He takes a deep breath and looks at him with a steady gaze.
"I understand your concerns," he says. "But I assure you, I would never allow your sister to be mistreated or unhappy. I have no love for your family, but she seems an innocent in all of this. And my son is a good, honorable man."
“I have no doubts that your son could come to love her, my sweet sister isn't hard to love,” Jaime says softly. “I just wish that I had more time.”
Ned Stark's expression falters at Jaime's words, the hint of a smile touching his lips. "Time is a luxury we don't always have in life," he says, his voice quieter now. "Sometimes we have to make the best decisions with the information and time we have. It's clear you care for your sister's happiness. But you also need to trust her, and in this instance my family. Do you think you can do that?"
“I have no choice but to do so,” Jaime says honestly. “She's been through much at the hands of family and I would hope this is better for her.”
Ned Stark nods slowly in understanding, his expression solemn but sympathetic. "I know you want what's best for her," he says, his voice carrying a hint of compassion. "And I assure you, I will do everything in my power to ensure she is treated fairly and with respect."
“Thank you.” He says sincerely, “Now, should we follow the youngsters and make sure they behave?”
Ned Stark lets out a soft chuckle at Jaime's words, a hint of amusement in his eyes. "I think that would be wise," he says, standing up from his seat. "They are young and full of excitement, after all. Let us see how they are getting along."
Together, Ned Stark and Jaime exit the private study and walk towards the dining hall, their footsteps echoing in the corridor. They can hear the distant sound of laughter and chatter coming from the hall as they approach, indicating that the youngsters are already well into their supper. The two men step into the hall and are met with the sight of Robb and the girl sitting beside each other at one of the tables. They are deep in conversation, the girl occasionally laughing at something Robb says. They are clearly enjoying each other's company, their faces lit up with smiles.
There is a slight dreamy look on Robb's face when the girl speaks and Jaime is quick to notice expression on the young Stark’s face as his sister speaks, a hint of surprise registering on his face. He watches the young couple for a few moments longer, a mixture of emotions warring within him.
But in a brief moment, she notices her brother. “Jaime, Robb was just telling me of how his sword training is going.”
Jaime turns his attention to the young couple as the girl speaks, hiseyes flickering between them. He forces a faint smile onto his face, masking his internal conflict.
"Ah, yes," he says, a hint of forced cheerfulness in his voice. "I had my own share of sword training in my youth. I trust Robb is doing well?"
“Yes! In fact with more practice he could be as good as you” (Y/N) says with a bright smile.
Jaime raises an eyebrow at the compliment, a mixture of surprise and amusement crossing his face. "Is that so?" he says, a hint of a smile curling on his lips. "Quite a high praise, to be compared to a knight of the Kingsguard."
She blushes and smiles at Robb once more. While Robb doesn’t hesitate to grin back at the girl, clearly enjoying the attention. He casts a quick look at Jaime, a hint of respect in his eyes, before returning his gaze to the girl.
Ned clasps a hand on his son's shoulder, “You both seem to be getting along well.”
Robb looks up at his father, a hint of embarrassment on his face at being interrupted. "Yes, Father," he says, his voice slightly sheepish. "We were just discussing our love of swordplay."
Ned smiles at his son, a hint of amusement in his eyes. "I see," he says. "And have you been able to impress the lady with your skills?"
Robb blushes, a hint of bashfulness creeping across his face. He glances at the girl before turning back to his father. "I've certainly been trying," he says, a hint of sheepishness in his voice. "She seems to be enjoying it, though."
She giggles shyly, while her brother can’t help but roll his eyes at the twitter patted boys attempts at smooth talking.
Ned chuckles softly at the reaction of the girl and her brother. He glances at Jaime, a knowing look in his eyes. "It seems the young lovebirds are getting along splendidly," he says, his voice laced with gentle teasing.
The two youngsters are all bashful smiles and clearly in the beginnings of perhaps something more. And Jaime watches the two youngsters for a moment longer, a slight smile on his face at their bashful reaction. He steals a glance at Ned, silently expressing his understanding and resignation to the situation.
Time passes by and as the new year approaches, Winterfell becomes alive with preparations for the celebrations. The atmosphere is one of excitement and anticipation, the snow falling outside adding a soft, magical touch to the castle. Ned Stark seems more lighthearted than usual, clearly anticipating the festivities to come. The evening of the New Year's Eve, the great hall of Winterfell is buzzing with activity. Servants hurry back and forth, ensuring everything is in order for the celebration that will soon begin. A sense of excitement and anticipation hangs in the air, making it almost electric.
But for the Lannister siblings, their time in Winterfell had been a combination of a well deserved respite from their family and a mounting hope that their proposal would be accepted. The number of ravens that they had received from both Cersei and Tywin were far too many, and it only served to further increase their worry in the midst of their interactions with the Starks. As much as (Y/N) had enjoyed her time with Robb, speaking with Jon and the Stark children, and even interacting some with Catelyn and Ned, there was always that worry in her mind that it could all be pulled away should Lord Stark not agree to a marriage between her and Robb. While Jaime did his best to stall his sister and father for a response as best he could, because the last thing he wanted for his young sister carted off and married to a beast like Gregor Clegane.
But they would soon know that particular evening if all of their effort would bear fruition.
That evening Jaime helps his sister with her dress, adjusting it carefully. He casts a glance at the window, seeing the snow falling gently outside. The sound of chatter and laughter in the great hall can be faintly heard, adding to the atmosphere of festivity and celebration.
“Jaime?”
He turns his attention to his sister as she speaks, noting the slight hesitation in her voice. "Yes, dear sister?" he says, his voice soft and patient.
“Do you think this is what it will be like, if Ned Stark accepts the betrothal?”
Jaime sighs slightly, his expression turning pensive as he considers her question. He runs a hand through his hair, clearly struggling with the answer. "It's hard to say, sweetling, he says after a moment. "Ned Stark is a man of honor and duty. I don't doubt he'll live up to his word and treat you well. But the north is a cold and hard place, and life here will be much different than you're used to in the south."
She blushes, “Robb has been very kind in the time that we have been here.”
Jaime nods, a hint of resignation in his expression. "Yes, Robb seems to be a good young man," he says. "He's clearly smitten with you, it seems."
“Jaime!” She says shyly, embarrassed with her brother’s teasing.
Jaime can't help but let a slight smile slip across his face at his sister's bashful reaction. He reaches out to squeeze her shoulder gently. "It's alright, sweetling,” he says, his voice softening. "I'm just teasing you."
Her face scrunched a little in thought, “Would you be able to stay, even if I was to marry Robb?”
Jaime's expression turns serious at the question, his eyes meeting his sister's. He hesitates for a moment, clearly torn by the emotions the question brings up. "I... I can't say," he says after a moment. "My place is with the Kingsguard, as you know. I have taken vows to the King, and my duty to protect him comes first."
“Oh…”
His heart sinks as he sees the disappointment on his sister's face. He reaches out, gently tucking a strand of hair behind her ear. "I'm sorry," he says, his voice thick with sincere apology. "I understand if that's not the answer you wanted to hear."
“I would miss you,” she whispers.
Jaime feels a pang of guilt at his sister's words, but he knows he cannot promise her a different future. He takes her hand in his, his fingers gently gripping hers. "I would miss you too," he says sincerely. "And I will always be here for you, no matter what. I promise you that."
“Even if I stay with Robb?” Her eyes wide and pleading.
Jaime nods, his expression firm but sincere. "Even if you stay with Robb," he says, his voice steady. "I promise to always be there for you, no matter what. You are my sister, and I will always love and protect you."
She smiles tearfully and hugs him tightly.Jaime hugs her back just as fiercely, his strong arms encircling her and holding her closely. He gently rests his chin on top of her head, his expression a mix of protectiveness and melancholy. He felt a little sentimental holding her in his arms, remembering a time when she used to fit in his hold, a small babe that sought him out even back then.
He closes his eyes for a moment, his grip on his sister tightening ever so slightly in a mixture of loving protectiveness and reluctant resignation. He struggles to reconcile his dual role as a Kingsguard and protector, and that of a brother who loves his sister dearly. He knows that she would be safe and taken care of with the Starks, but the thought of her being so far from him is bittersweet.
Finally, he draws back from the hug, his expression composed but betraying a hint of melancholy. "Come now, we should head to the feast," he says, his voice slightly rough. "We wouldn't want to be late to the celebration."
She twirls in her dress and smiles, “Do you think he will like it?”
Jaime gives his sister a look that is part playful and part sincere. He runs his gaze over her figure, taking in the way the dress only serves to accentuate her beauty. "If he doesn't, he's a bigger fool than I thought," he says with a faint smirk.
She's bashful at his compliment, “Thank you Jaime, you're a really good brother”
Jaime's smirk softens into a fond smile at his sister’s kind words. He reaches out to pat her head gently, an affectionate gesture. "You're an irritating, yet lovable, little sister," he teases, his tone warm and affectionate. "Of course I'm going to be a good brother to you." He stands up and offers his arm to his sister. "Are you ready to join the celebration now?" he asks, his tone light but his eyes betraying the hint of melancholy that still lingers within him.
“Ready as I can be,” she says nervously. “But you will be with me, so I know that I will be okay.”
Jaime offers his sister a reassuring smile as he takes her arm. "I'll be here with you every step of the way," he says, his voice firm and comforting. "You won't be alone, I promise."
With that, the Lannister siblings make their way to the festivities where they can hear the music, laughter and more. Jaime leads his sister into the great hall, his steps confident and measured. The atmosphere inside the hall is one of gaiety and celebration, with musicians playing lively tunes, servants hurrying back and forth, and the sound of laughter and conversation filling the air. The elder of the siblings spots Ned Stark across the room and gives him a nod of greeting before turning his attention back to his sister. But her eyes are on Robb as he talks to his own brother, flustered as she looks to the younger Stark.
Jaime follows his sister's gaze and a smirk tugs at the corner of his mouth, amused by the sight. "Looks like someone has caught your eye, sister," he says, his voice laced with gentle teasing.
“When we arrived, I didn't think I would fall for him as quick as I did,” her gaze never moves “but I'm glad it was him.”
Jaime glances between his sister and Robb, his expression softening slightly as he sees the smitten look on her face. "He seems a good-natured enough lad," he says, a hint of approval in his voice. "And he clearly has eyes for you as well. I can tell by the way he looks at you."
As he says that Robb turns in their direction when Jon points in their direction, and the boy has an awe struck look.Jaime can't help but chuckle slightly as Robb looks in their direction, the young man's smitten expression clear on his face.
"See what I mean?" he says, a hint of amusement in his voice. "He's utterly taken with you, sister. It's almost embarrassing to see."
She fidgets a little beside him, “Should I ask him to dance or wait until he asks me?”
Jaime considers the question for a moment, a thoughtful expression on his face. "If I know anything about young men like Robb Stark, he's likely too bashful to gather up the courage to ask you to dance on his own," he says with a smirk. "So if you truly want to dance, you'll have to take the initiative and ask him yourself."
She looks unsure of herself and turns to him; seeing the uncertainty on his sister's face, Jaime gently takes the lead, guiding her through the crowd and towards where Robb Stark is standing. He gives her a reassuring smile and squeezes her arm gently, his tone reassuring.
"Don't be nervous," he murmurs to her. "You look beautiful, and he's clearly smitten with you. Just ask him to dance, and he will be too stunned to say no."
The brother and sister approach Robb and Jon. Jaime gives a nod to both of them in greeting, while his sister blushes faintly and averts her eyes, clearly a little timid. As the two of them stand there, Robb looks at her with a smitten, yet slightly abashed expression, his eyes drinking in her appearance.
“I... I apologize for the interruption Robb, but... would you like to dance?” She asks timidly.
Robb's face brightens at the question, a boyish smile on his lips. He glances at his brother for a moment before nodding eagerly. "I'd be honored to dance with you," he says, his voice slightly nervous but undeniably eager.
Jaime watches as his sister and Robb make their way to the dance floor, and as the two of them begin to dance, he watches his sister's expression, noting the way her eyes sparkle in the light and the way her cheeks flush with embarrassment and blossoming affection.
“They are quite the smitten pair, aren't they?” Ned Stark says catching the elder Lannister off guard and offering a glass of wine.
Jaime takes the offered glass of wine, nodding in agreement as he glances at Robb and his sister on the dance floor. "Yes, they certainly are," he says, his tone a mixture of resigned acceptance and reluctant approval.
He takes a sip of the wine, turning to face Ned Stark more directly. "You must be proud of your boy,” he says, his tone carefully neutral. "I know my sister is quite taken with Robb, and... he seems to care for her as well."
“I will be blunt Lannister,” says Ned. “When you're sister made the offer of a betrothal between the two of them, I wasn't sure what to think.”
Jaime raises an eyebrow at Ned Stark's bluntness, his demeanor calm but betraying a hint of wariness. He takes another sip of wine, his gaze steady as he regards the Lord of Winterfell. "I see," he says, his tone cool and guarded. "And why is that, if I may ask?"
“As she said, our houses have hated one another for so long. To think that in a single generation that could be mended, seemed unlikely and it still does.”
Jaime nods, understanding the sentiment behind Ned Stark's skepticism. He sets his wine glass down and laces his fingers together, his expression contemplative.
"I can understand your doubt," he says. "Our houses have a long and bloody history, and it's understandable that you would hesitate to consider an alliance between us."
The Lord of Winterfell looks at his son and Jaime’s sister as they dance, “But seeing these two, despite that animosity, growing to care for each other. I see hope.”
Jaime follows Ned Stark's gaze to the dance floor, where his sister and Robb are still dancing. The two of them are engaged in a seemingly effortless conversation, their eyes locked on each other and their faces flushed with affection.
As he watches them, that sense of resignation tugs at his heart once more, but he cannot deny the hope and potential that this pairing represents.
"Yes," he says, his tone soft. "I see what you mean. They do make quite a picture, don't they?"
He takes another drink of wine, his gaze lingering on his sister and Robb for a few moments more before turning back to Ned Stark.
"But you must also understand," he says, his tone laced with caution. "Our houses have always been enemies, and the shadow of our past will always linger. Even if our families are joined through marriage, it does not erase our history."
“No it does not,” says Ned. “But I believe these two will surprise all of us with what they could accomplish. Which is why I made my decision”
Jaime raises an eyebrow at Ned's words, his curiosity piqued. "And what decision is that, may I ask?" he inquires, his tone cautious.
“I accept betrothing your sister to my son Robb.”
Jaime is somewhat taken aback by Ned's straightforward declaration, his eyes widening fractionally as he processes the words. He hadn't expected the Lord of Winterfell to agree to the betrothal so readily. But a weight does lift from the Lannister’s shoulders that his sister wouldn’t have to return to a doomed marriage.
"I see," he says, his voice betraying a hint of surprise. "I must admit, I didn't expect you to accept so quickly." He leans forward slightly, peering at Ned Stark, his expression a mixture of uncertainty and curiosity. "May I ask what changed your mind?"
“Speaking with your sister and watching the interactions with my family made me realize. That surely if such a sweet and intelligent girl like that can come from your house, then there must be some good.”
Jaime is taken aback by Ned's words, a strange mixture of offense and understanding coursing through him. He takes a moment to collect his thoughts before responding, his tone measured and guarded. "I... see," he says, his voice low. "You believe that my sister represents the good in our house. Is that what you're saying?"
“In sum, yes.”
Jaime lets out a scoff, a mix of annoyance and resignation in his voice. "And I suppose you believe that I and the rest of my family represent the opposite, then? The bad in our house?"
“I believe that you and only you, represent what a man who loves his family enough will do, even setting aside his hate for another, just to see his sisters happiness”
Jaime's expression softens at Ned's words, a small flicker of surprise in his eyes. He looks down at his hands, his thoughts swirling within him.
After a moment, he speaks, his voice quieter than before. "You're right," he says grudgingly. "I would do anything for my sister, even set aside my hate. I suppose... that makes me less of a monster than you believe me to be."
“Not a monster Jaime, a flawed man like the rest of us because a monster would never have done what you have for that girl.”
Jaime pauses at Ned's words, his jaw clenching slightly as he grapples with the mixed emotions coursing through him. For a moment, he looks like he's about to say something snarky in response, but instead, he lets out a mirthless chuckle.
"Flawed indeed," he mutters to himself. "You have no idea how flawed I am, Stark."
In that moment the elder Lannister glances up as his sister and Robb return to them, both of them breathing heavily and flushed with the exertion of dancing. He can see the happiness and excitement in his sister's eyes, and the adoration in Robb's gaze as he looks at her. He watches the two of them closely, his expression betraying some of his internal turmoil.
“I haven't had this much fun in a long time,” she says with excitement. “Are you enjoying yourself Jaime? Lord Stark?”
Jaime glances at her, his expression still a bit guarded, but a small smile tugs at the corner of his lips at her excitement.
"I suppose I am," he replies, his tone light. "The festivities are... lively."
Ned Stark nods in agreement, a warm smile on his face as he regards both Jaime and his sister. “I am glad to hear you're enjoying yourself," he says, his voice warm. "It's been a long time since we've had such a joyous occasion here in Winterfell."
Jaime takes another sip of his wine, his gaze shifting between his sister and Robb, who are still standing side by side, their happiness almost palpable. "Indeed," he says, his tone dry. "It seems love is in the air tonight."
The youngsters glance at the other and laugh shyly, Jaime watches the interaction between the two. Ned Stark chuckles softly at the sight, his eyes crinkling in amusement.
"Ah, to be young and in love," he says, his voice laced with nostalgia. "It's truly a beautiful thing."
“Father?” Robb asks bashfully. “Did you come to an agreement with ser Jaime?”
Jaime turns his gaze to Robb, his expression schooled into a cool neutrality. He glances at Ned Stark, who nods slightly before speaking.
"Yes, we have reached an agreement," Ned says, his tone matter-of-fact. "Your betrothal to his sister is approved."
The older Lannister sees as both his sister and Robb light up in joy, their happiness and excitement almost tangible in the air. He can't help but feel a bittersweet pang. Marriage is a serious matter, and he knows all too well the weight of responsibility that comes with it. But seeing the joy on his sister's face, he can't help but feel a hint of relief that she's found someone who loves her and cares for her.
“Then Lord Stark, may I have this next dance with you as my future father in law?” (Y/N) asks nervously.
Ned Stark chuckles at her request and nods graciously. "Of course, my dear," he says, offering her a hand. "It would be my honor to dance with the woman who will be my future daughter in law."
Jaime stands beside Robb, his gaze following his sister and Ned Stark as they begin to dance. He takes a sip of his wine, his expression contemplative as he glances at the young Stark man beside him.
“Ser Jaime?” The younger Stark says hesitantly.
Jaime turns his gaze to Robb, his expression faintly curious. “Yes, Stark?" he responds, his tone guarded yet curious.
“Um... I know you have already agreed with my father, but I was hoping to have your blessing to marry your sister.”
Jaime raises an eyebrow at the young Stark's request, a hint of surprise in his eyes. He studies the earnestness in Robb's expression for a moment, weighing his response. He lets out a small sigh, his expression stern yet contemplative.
"You care for her, don't you?" he asks, his tone not confrontational, but measured.
“Yes, I do. She's like the moon and stars, lighting up my world that I didn't realize was so dark before her.”
Jaime's expression softens slightly at Robb's words, a hint of understanding in his eyes. He studies the young Stark man for another moment before speaking, his voice lower now, more serious.
"And what assurance do I have that you won't hurt her? That you won't break her heart?"
“I don't have much, I can only give my word and this,” he holds out a dagger to Jaime.
Jaime's eyes flicker down to the dagger that Robb is holding out, his expression unreadable. He glances back up at the young Stark man, his gaze searching and intense.
"And what is this, Stark? Some sort of token of your dedication to my sister?"
“For you to use,” Robb says matter of fact. “If you ever think I have hurt her or broken her heart, use this on me. Because I won't deserve to breathe if that ever happens.”
Jaime's eyes widen slightly at Robb's words, his expression a mix of surprise and respect. He gazes at the dagger in Robb's hand, his mind contemplating the weight of the young man's words. He reaches out and takes the dagger, turning it over in his hand for a moment before speaking his voice solemn and measured.
"This is an unusual request, Stark," he says, his tone not hostile, but wary. "You're asking me to condemn you to death if you ever betray my sister."
“Yes,” Robb says with a shrug. “Because nothing could be worse than betraying her and it seems like a fitting punishment.”
Jaime studies Robb for a moment, his gaze appraising and contemplating. He can see the sincerity and determination in the young man's eyes, and can't help but feel a small amount of respect for the boy’s dedication to his sister.
"You're a foolish, idealistic young man," he mutters, his tone more resigned than scolding. "But perhaps there's honor in foolishness." He glances down at the dagger in his hand, then back up at Robb.
“So would you, give me your blessing? (Y/N) loves you dearly and sees you not just as her brother but a father as well, so nothing would make her happier than knowing you approve.”
Jaime let out a small sigh, his expression shifting from stern to contemplative. He studies Robb for a moment, the young man's words sinking into his thoughts.
"You speak as if you know my sister better than myself, Stark," he says, his tone a mix of surprise and grudging respect. "But I suppose... that's not entirely inaccurate." He pauses for a moment, his eyes flickering to his sister, who is still dancing with Ned Stark on the dance floor, her expression radiant with happiness.
“No, I could never think to know her more than you,” Robb says. “You have been her protector through the worst of her days, I could only hope to be half that kind of protector for her.”
Jaime nods slowly, his expression thoughtful as he regards Robb. He can see the genuine admiration and respect in the young man's eyes, and can't help but feel a grudging trust.
"You speak with a level of confidence that's both admirable and irritating," he mutters, his tone gruff yet contemplative. "You make me almost believe that you're sincere in your devotion to her."
“No man could ever be good enough for her,” Robb says with a shake of his head, “but I would like to try.”
Jaime lets out a small scoff, "You have a talent for flattery, Stark," he mutters, his tone dry yet somewhat softened. "You're almost making me want to like you."
Robb laughs, “I believe the day that happens, Kings Landing will have frozen over.”
Jaime smirks at Robb's words, his expression amused despite himself. He can't help but acknowledge the young man's humor and confidence. "Truly, a cold day in hell," he responds, his tone now slightly playful. "But let's not get too ahead of ourselves, Stark. Just because I don't loathe you doesn't mean I necessarily like you either."
He glances out towards the dance floor, his gaze finding his sister as she continues to dance with Lord Stark. He watches her with a mix of caution and protectiveness. "My sister is fiercely intelligent, and possesses a strong will," he says, his tone more serious now. "You'd do well to remember that."
The younger Stark nods and a comfortable silence settles between the two.
Eventually the Lord Stark and (Y/N) return, both with jovial spirits. The younger Lannister reaches for her older brother’s hands.
“Come on Jaime, I waited best for last” she giggles. “Dance with me!”
Jaime lets himself be dragged by his younger sister, carefully leading her in a slow dance. “Here I thought that you would want to dance the night away with Robb,” he teases. “But you have only danced with the poor boy once.”
“I will have many more chances to dance with him, Jaime” she laughs. “I just want to enjoy the time I still have with you. Does that suit you? Or would you rather have the evening with many of the beautiful ladies here?”
“I am dancing with the most beautiful one tonight” Jaime says softly, “I think that there is no need to trouble anyone else.”
She smiles bashfully, “Thank you Jaime. For everything.”
“Everything?”
“Yes Jaime, everything” she explains. “You were always there. You saw to my needs, you explained things I never understood, you were patient with my eccentricities. You fought for my happiness and have done so for the majority of my life. I know that I was sired by Tywin Lannister, but in my heart, it is you.”
They stop in the middle of the crowd and she hugs him tightly, “My wonderful and loving older brother. It is you Jaime Lannister, that I see as a father, and I hope that you will do me the honor of giving me away.”
A knot gets stuck in his throat as Jaime holds onto his younger sister, “There is nothing I would love more” he whispers quietly.
He holds onto her tightly.
Just as he tries to hold onto the memory just as much a year later, when he is given the news of what becomes of his sweet beloved sister and her husband in the Riverlands in the midst of the War of the Five Kings.

“My lady,” you hear a soft voice calling you, “My lady, you must wake up, it is morning.” You open your eyes. The sheets around you are soft, freshly laundered. Your head sinks into the large white pillow, and you take a deep breath that turns into a yawn and turn over to go back to a more comfortable position. But the voice rings out again. “Now, that won’t do at all...” You twist your neck toward the direction of the voice. The sound in meats your ears like the gentle beat of a raven’s wing. Shielding your eyes because of the bright sunlight streaming in through the windows, you squinted to see a dark black figure stood before the opened curtains around your bed.
Sebastian Michaelis; the imposing shadowy butler of your cousin, Ciel Phantomhive who’s estate you were staying at while you visited the countryside after your illness. This man’s efficiency left you in awe. Managing an entire household with three other servants, an old butler, and a young master who was still very much a child. His roles extended far beyond that of an ordinary butler, to that of baker, chef, driver and even a pseudo parent. Additionally, with his smooth, silky, jet-black hair and contrasting pale skin he looked rather like a vampire – one from the cheap romance novellas you would pick up from the bookstore to keep yourself entertained. You definitely wouldn’t mind him sinking his teeth into your neck. You had been inappropriately lusting after the man ever since he greeted you into the Phantomhive manor. He was gentle and helpful, and you had found yourself yearning for the feel of his hands upon your skin. Sebastian seemed to sense your longing and took it upon himself to torment you with his sly touches at every opportune moment. He took your hand to help you down stairs, tied your shoelace if he thought it wasn’t done up well enough kneeling in front of you, he even lifted you and took you to bed one night when you were feeling especially tired from the day’s activities. You had been mortified to have been treated in such a manner but when he had leaned down and kissed your ear whispering a soft goodnight you exploded on the inside. Ever since then, you had been thinking the lewdest thoughts about the man- who would often catch you staring at his back and would wink at you and laugh when you turned red. And often your fingers would slip between your thighs, to rub over your mound below in an attempt to quell the aching need.
“Your maid seems to have caught a slight cold my lady.” Sebastian speaks drawing you back to the present. He smiles. “I hope you don’t mind me standing in for her this morning. I wouldn’t want you to exert yourself so soon after having recovered from one illness.” His eyes crinkle and he tilts his head while his smile grows wider.
For a moment, you stare at him and then understand the implications of his words. Still not fully awake you muster up the energy to ask, “But, who is to help me with my dressing?”
“I’m pretty sure you will find me capable enough, my lady.” He says, still smiling. You sit up quickly. Heart pounding in your chest.
“Sebastian!” you expel in admonishment “Surely that would not be proper!”
Sebastian prowls over to the the edge of the bed and leaning down, says, “Would it be as improper as this my lady?” He plants those smooth pale lips onto yours. They burn hot against your cool pink ones. You feel his hand caressing your cheek. Your heart beats hard in your chest and you sit rigidly unable to process what is happening around you. Is Sebastian really kissing you? Are his lips truly on yours?
But before you can fully digest what happened, he moves away. “Are you awake now my lady?” he asks. You touch your lips feeling incomplete without his warmth and nod. “Good.” He says. “I want you to be awake for this.” He smoothly takes off his black coat and lays it down on a chair, then his vest, then as he unbuttons his shirt he climbs onto the bed. “Impropriety has been a recurring thought in your mind, has it not my lady?” he says to you. He kneels down in front of you. You feel your heart beat – loud enough for the whole mansion to hear.
“Wh– whatever do you mean, Sebastian?” You feign ignorance, trying to ignore the loud pounding of your heart.
“Don’t be coy my lady.” He smirks, his body almost enveloping you on the bed and playing with the string on the neck of your nightgown. He pulls it – untying the bow that your maid had made the night before. So smooth. His movements flow like a stream of water. Almost inhuman. You look into his eyes knowing that however improper it may be, you wanted the man. You wanted him in the basest way that a human may want a human. He cups your cheek in his hand and you can’t help yourself, you move forward to feel his burning lips against your own once again. He runs his fingers through your soft hair and wraps his arm around your torso pulling you closer. You pull off his already unbuttoned shirt. The heat of his body penetrating your thin nightgown. He presses his body against yours, kissing you, a hunger in his movements like no other you knew. His fingers reach your breast and he kneads it roughly. His tongue seeks entrance at your mouth. You open up readily, moaning softly at his touch. He tastes spicy yet at the same time sweet; it reminds you of chocolate a rare taste for such a rare man. Wanton moans drip from your throat and you just want more and more. Your head feels heavy—intoxicated.
You close your eyes and pull him closer. He’s lean, yet you can feel hard muscle under the skin. Sebastian holds the bottom of your nightgown and looks at you with heavy lidded eyes. “Are you sure about this my lady?” For a moment you think you see them flash a dangerous red but shake it off seeing them their regular brown.
You close your eyes and nod, biting your lower lip. It is what you want. Damn all the restrictions of society. Damn it all. It was your body and here was a man who made it writhe and respond on its own accord – without your control. You wanted him to feel you, touch you, make love to you. And you knew, he would appreciate you to the fullest – you would bloom like a flower beneath his touch.
A/N: This was originally posted on AO3 back in 2017. Since then much time has passed and i wasn't feeling the motivation to continue this series, but now with this resurgence of Kuro I would like to take this series up again. I am posting it here now, with changes made and small edits. Just to make it a better read while still keeping my original story intact. I hope you've enjoyed. As always, Likes and Reblogs are much appreciated and Comments will earn you kisses.

What is UnderLove?
"UnderLove" is an AU created by Radicalrainbow, based on the renowned role-playing game Undertale. In the universe of UnderLove, the struggle between love and hate shapes its story. It introduces a unique twist with love-centric magic and the contrasting power of hate. Characters’ appearances are heart-themed, adorned in shades of pinks, reds, and whites, with frilly trims, fluffy details, and prominent heart motifs embracing a Valentine's/Lovecore theme. Yet, this AU can show more than just one side of the coin.
Underlove's history
History of the Underground: Long ago, humans and monsters lived separately and in disarray upon the surface. Humans were known for their ruthlessness, hostility, and HATE, which led them to push the kind and loving monsters away.
Tragedy struck one night when the king’s life was brutally taken, leading Asgore to ascend to the throne. Blinded by his own growing anger, Asgore sought to avenge his father, and the once kind and loving monsters turned hostile as war was declared against the humans.
The war raged on, with magic clashing and bodies falling. Eventually, humans emerged victorious, and with the help of a powerful mage, they sealed the monsters underground. The Underground was filled with despair and darkness, but the magic of LOVE gradually began to bloom again, restoring harmony among the monsters.
The royal family made certain that their people remained full of LOVE, fearing the resurgence of HATE that had swept the surface. Royal guards were tasked with protecting the Underground by preserving love and happiness, removing those who began to corrupt with hatred, and dealing with any humans who entered their realm.
Chara’s Arrival: After many years after banishment, their peace was interrupted when a human named Chara fell into their midst, seeking refuge from human cruelty. The Dreemurr family adopted Chara despite their initial wariness, it came to be the best decision of their lives as the two kids grew up together.
Tragically, Chara fell terminally ill from consuming red rose seeds, causing them to cough up petals and roses. Before the illness could fully silence them, Chara expressed a dying wish to see the surface sky one last time.
Asriel, their adoptive brother, absorbed Chara's soul and carried them through the barrier that separated their world from the humans. However, upon reaching the surface, they were met with misunderstanding and rage, resulting in the tragic demise of both Asriel and Chara.
The Dreemurr family, torn apart by the loss of their beloved children, decreed that any human who fell into their realm would be imprisoned in the depths of their castle dungeon.

describing the dynamic...

...a requested continuation of this post.

like & rb if it resonates ♡
01.
Shufflemancy: First day of my life by Bright Eyes
This feels like home. It is familiar and it is sweet. The two of you create an air of comfort, which draws in various orphans of the storm. Like a safe haven amidst stormy seas. A lighthouse. This has the blueprint of starting a found family. Your union echos with lots of laughter, the kind that brings tears and stomachaches. The joy here is tangible and it is imprinted in everything. Your dynamic is like an evolved version of puppy love. It's nervous, but adoring. Giddy and rosy. It feels like best friends falling in love. They know you and you know them at a deep level. The foundation upon which this relationship stands could withstand hurricanes, though there isn't much to worry about. Most issues that crop up seem a little silly, and you may laugh about them afterwards. Personal doubts and misunderstandings are the worst that can happen here, which are mostly due to the doglike loyalty and care you have for one another. Ever seen the face of a pooch when they've done something they shouldn't have? They appear so sheepish even though their mistake or mischief really isn't all that bad or serious. We often laugh at our beloved pets when they appear so apologetic because it is so often wildly out of proportion for their actual crime. The same applies to this relationship. Doubts may occasionally become bigger in your heads and cause a similar out of proportion shame or guilt or concern about how the other will react. Many inside jokes may stem from these situations, actually. Despite the occasional and shortlived whirlwind of doubt and concern about the status of the relationship, your communication is very good and open and clear. You might both simply have a hard time expressing yourselves when it comes to negative feelings and experiences, likely stemming from your upbringing. Which brings me to the point of healing. A key feature of this relationship is just that. Healing. The two of you treat each other the way you wish you had been treated growing up. As though you are raising each other's wounded inner child in a much better, loving, and attentive environment. There is a lot of validation and tenderness present. The reciprocation is beautifully balanced. When one is feeling low, the other takes on a guardian role, comforting and supporting them in various ways. Need a doctor's appointment but you're too anxious to call? Your partner gotchu. Next time they're ill you'll be making them soup and wrapping them up in a blanket. The give and take feels natural, like neither of you need to think twice about it, and best of all: nobody's keeping score.

Shufflemancy: High heels by Mando Diao
Once this one gets going, it's long distance, not a sprint. Considering the delays this relationship experiences before it begins, however, the steady movement doesn't feel slow at all. And although this relationship is very spontaneous and fun, there is a balancing act at play wherein plans for the future are made early on. They want to make sure you're both on the same page and have an idea of where the relationship is headed right from the start to avoid conflicting ideas later. There are some traditional elements to this relationship because they lead a busy life professionally. Plans may be made to have you stay at home once things get serious, though they are very supportive of any business ideas you come up with or already have when you enter into the relationship. This person values ambition and drive, probably just as much as you do, and is very supportive of any endeavours you decide to pursue, and is likely to help fund or network to boost your success.
Expect frequent date nights. This person enjoys romance and works hard to keep the spark alive, so long as they don't feel smothered. When given the space and time they love to shower you with gifts and make you feel special. Travelling also figures strongly, and you may cross many destinations off your bucket list with this person. They favour quality over quantity, though, and may make it a point to spend big bucks on a resort for an extended period of time to really make the most of the destination and the time you get to spend together. It's possible the two of you eventually purchase a second home somewhere you like to visit. The two of you enjoy a rich social life as well, and may frequently entertain people in your home or at different venues. Your energy is contagious and other people are naturally drawn to the two of you because of the fun and welcoming energy created by your union. I'm not seeing much in terms of issues, mostly because the element of fun is so strong here. It feels very balanced because each of you gets to be in your favoured energy and feel appreciated for what you bring to the relationship. Very strong mutual respect. Each of you seem to succeed in life and your careers and projects better because the other is by your side. Reaching higher and farther because of the support of the other. This has an air of'us against the world', as though you are building an empire together. Your success is very new-money and modern. Flashy and extravagant, but still down-to-earth and humble in a way in which you really count your blessings and have much gratitude for what you have together and where you came from. The two of you may help or give back to your community, or donate to charity. It's possible they pay off your family's mortgage or do some other big financial gesture towards your family after the two of you commit. There is a lot of passion in this relationship. Very flirty, and there is a strong sexual attraction. The two of you make each other laugh a lot and may pull pranks on each other. Check out Destene and Brandon on youtube, because their dynamic mirrors this group a lot!
03.
Shufflemancy: Mary on a cross by Ghost
This is the one that will feel like things are too good to be true. You will want for nothing. The dynamic here is almost that of a knight and the one they have sworn to protect, or the royal and the peasant they chose for love. There is much adoration here, and it feels old-timey in a way. If you have been kissing frogs before, this one will really surprise you. They enjoy traditional courting and may look down upon the modern era of dating and the attitudes surrounding it, and don't like most of the people making them offers. They also appear to compensate for time spent apart through lavish gifts, and making sure you have everything that you need. There are a lot of calls and messages being sent back and forth, especially during their time away. They're very supportive of your studies or the projects you're working on, and will do everything in their power to create a good environment for you to do what you need to do. There is a strong possibility of them asking you to accompany them on their business travels, in an effort to help the two of you spend more quality time together. You have an energy that differs so much from what they have to deal with in their professional life, and they derive a big boost of motivation and confidence from it. It is almost as though they see you as their lucky charm.
The primary cause of friction appears to come from outside the relationship. You may frequently receive strange looks when you're together, or the way you differ somehow causes tension amongst your partner's peers. They, however, are incredibly proud of you and encourage you to speak your mind and stay true to yourself. They think you're perfect and don't want you to change, especially not through pressure from the kinds of people they find shallow or even fake. There could be instances where people try to steal your partner, but they fail horribly because of your partner's devotion to you. This can also go the other way, wherein people begin to pursue you in an attempt to steal you away from your partner, as if to spite them. You may receive invitations, offers, and gifts from people, especially ones you meet through your partner. This reveals a jealous streak in your partner which is very prevalent, but not in a toxic or controlling way. Because they have such social grace and know how to play the game, they never target you with their jealousy and dismay, but those who try to get in between. They are protective of what's theirs, but are very graceful and strategic in their methodology of solving problems. This also lends itself well to any wrinkles that need ironing in the relationship, because they don't appear to get angry and have a mentality that it's not you vs. them, but the two of you vs. the problem.
This dynamic may sometimes lead to waking up alone, but there is sure to be a lovely note left behind, or they may send flowers. They like to let you sleep in, and find you to be at your most beautiful when you're asleep because of the serene look on your face. You really help them feel at peace, which is something quite difficult for them to achieve on their own. They have trouble relaxing or doing things without it somehow boosting their qualifications or adding to their resume. You help them pick out books to read just because, watch movies regardless of their acclaim and accolades, go thrifting for the fun of it or visit the sweet little side street boutiques and unknown cafés. They really just feel like they have access to more oxygen when you're around, as though they've spent their whole life holding their breath and they can breathe easily and deeply around you.
04.
Shufflemancy: Me the machine by Imogen Heap
There is a whole lot going on here mentally. The two of you spend a lot of time talking, for hours upon hours. "Is that the sun?" can become a frequent phrase used when time slips through your fingers as you talk the night away to watch the sunrise. The two of you love to debate, especially in regards to matters you agree on, because it seems you reach the same conclusion from different angles and enjoy discussing each other's detours. They love picking your brain and value your opinions. There is a bit of a hopeless romantic in them, which may catch you off guard every time due to their cerebral nature. They might leave you notes or share songs to express their feelings. To them you are an equal, a missing puzzle piece that helps them see the bigger picture. You two are like the seeker and the explorer. They like holding hands and being close to you, but seem a little hesitant, even months into the relationship. You are certainly the more open and affectionate one, whilst they tend to be a little shy. Their awkwardness is quite charming, though, because they do try their best to show their love and support. Support plays a big role here, too, as they have a lot to teach you in various areas of life and you will grow quite a bit during this relationship. They are an excellent mentor and encourage you to chase your dreams, but are also good at holding you accountable. They can be a little blunt and clumsy with their words, but they mean well and wish for you to be the best that you can be and never sell yourself short. They really won't let anybody talk down on you, least of all you yourself. They have very high standards so any self-loating on your part feels insulting to them. They wouldn't date you if they didn't think you were incredible.
They enjoy your company and express genuine interest in your thoughts and ideas. You share many interests and engaging in them together is a big part of this relationship. You two are stronger together and can face many hardships with greater ease due to how you complete one another. Not in that you aren't whole on your own, but that your individual strengths and weaknesses balance each other out. Where you lack, they're abundant, and vice versa. It really makes for a dynamic duo, albeit one that may from the outside appear mismatched or peculiar. That does not stop you, though, and they especially have very little care for what other people think. The two of you may collaborate on various projects, or work together towards both joint and separate goals. Your minds and talents blend beautifully together, and your relationship is potent with inspiration and motivation. Tackling difficult tasks and the daily grind appears easier when you can delegate things depending on your individual strengths. The source of strife mostly stems from misunderstandings. Both of you value communication, but on occasion words are left unsaid or too much is said without prior thought and one of you gets hurt. This does not seem to ever be on purpose, just accidental slip-ups and thoughtlessness.
05.
Shufflemancy: Boys do cry by Marius Bear
Which one of you brought the gasoline? The dynamic here is hot and heavy. Passionate, as though desperation and need is causing you to crawl into each other's skin and wear each other's hearts. It can get a little crazy, fast paced and wild, in most things that you do. And you may get into quite a bit of trouble together, too. When Billie Eilish said 'I'm the powder, you're the fuse; let's add some friction' the two of you were taking notes. There is a lot of push and pull, and the relationship contains a lot of drama. Though I don't feel like that is wholly unwelcome, strangely enough. It seems beneficial for the two of you to keep each other on your toes, like you both crave some explosive feelings to feel fulfilled. This relationship really isn't for the faint of heart. But whilst others watch in horror, you make each other feel alive in this almost feral dance. They are very protective of you, and you of them. It's like you give each other scary dog privilege because nobody else can swoop in to steal a heart while the other stands on watch. You're both a little possessive, but it boils down to the deep connection you have feeling so intertwined with the very cores of your beings that losing the other would feel like losing yourself. Definitely worth checking yourselves for co-dependency to be sure it does not go overboard, but so long as you keep your individuality intact, this one is one hell of a ride. A ride or die, in fact. You are truly partners in crime and feel dangerously powerful together, like you could take over the world and overcome anything.
I won't sugar coat this: there is a lot of turmoil that the both of you conjure up. Most of the issues in this dynamic stem from the heightened emotions you are both capable of, and if either of you start wielding them as weapons it will cause even more explosive emotions. I will say, though, that this only gets physical in the make up part of the show, as the actual strife is emotional and verbal in nature. Because you care a lot for each other, neither would dare lay a hand on the other. The thought of you getting hurt by them or anyone or anything else would upset them greatly, and it's the same in reverse. You mirror each other a lot, and have much to learn from each other. Much of it will feel heavy and burdensome since you will be facing your own demons within the other person, and that's never easy. Fortunately there is a lot of gentle care here, too. Since you both feel things so strongly and have similar experiences in life, it is much easier for you to sympathise with each other and support each other. This is one of those relationships where you truly do not need to hide or be on your best behaviour, because you have both weathered storms and do not easily flinch when the thunder and lightning begin to roar, and you both provide each other shelter when needed.
06.
Shufflemancy: Light by Sleeping at last
I remember seeing a writing prompt once upon a time with the premise of seeing in greyscale until you lock eyes with your soulmate, and this has that exact energy. It really seems as though this person lead a very monotonous life until you barged in, inviting the sunshine into their life. Because in many ways they view you as the light of their life, they are very protective of you. You bring them much joy, laughter, and relaxation, all things they do very little of, at least successfully, and find themselves more able to partake in the joys of life in your presence. You are a breath of fresh air, as though someone finally opened up a window inside a stuffy office. They see stars in your eyes and they want nothing more than to preserve them, and make them shine even brighter. There is a little bit of a saviour complex here. Anything you struggle with they don an armour for to protect and to serve. Because you nurture their soul and heal their wounds with your tender love and care and expand their horizons with your sense of wonder, they feel compelled to take care of you. It feels almost familial, but not in a weird way. It is as if they want to keep your childlike wonder alive and well, and right any wrongs that come your way. They take a load off your shoulders frequently, and may especially take on all your mundane tasks and paperwork. They love your playful energy and can see that the stuffy stressors of life cage that bird in, and they want to see you soar. This is a very healing connection for both of you. You balance each other out whilst being a mentor for each other, teaching each other your strengths so that you two can feel whole and capable all in your own right. You are both willing to bend, to try new things, allow the other to show you new worlds and explore possibilities. Very likely to lead to marriage, and it would be a very happy and functional one because of the growth you inspire in one another both as individuals and together as one. It's like your relationship begins as a little sapling, slow, but once it has been given the space to grow it grows big and strong and will withstand any storm and leave behind a legacy, like your future children putting up a swing for their children on the tree you two once sowed.

Are You Sure?! Episode 4 observations
8.5/10 ☆
When will Army cancel Jimin and Jungkook? When will ot7 jikookers and vminers and vminkookers make call out posts for them? Jimin and Jungkook should express that all encompassing love for the entire members of their group all the time. Pointing out throughout the entire first day that Tedros is their guest or that they he should leave if he doesn't like it, that he's looking for attention or that AYS is their show, not for other people, was giving mean girls behavior. How is that nice? They love their guest but they're shading him. I think we should totally cancel Jikook!
But how the tables have turned once the kid that tagged along went to bed and the adults could play. Oh, we were back to Connecticut vibes once again. Which are basically the usual jikook vibes in where every little game needs to have a hint of flirtation (I wonder what Jimin would have done if Jungkook wouldn't have warned him about the glass part in the pool? Jimin was in slytherin mode the minute he took off his clothes).
From enganging in intricate rituals to touch each other (as always) to go through a long negotation over eating ramyeon or not (what's ppeuriri got to do with everything? I love their inside jokes and hate them at the same time. Let me in!!!! I was waiting for the bj brothers and when they deliver even some innuendos, it riles me up).

I'm not a BL fan of regular watcher, but this looks like the beginning of one of those steamy scenes where they show them fuck on some balcony or in the pool. Just sayin'.

Say yes and eat the damn ramyeon, Jungkook!
I like Jikook's nighttime routines. Although so far they have been quite tame, no drinking or other shenanigans. They do teeth brushing yoga or they cuddle up and talk about work and their schedules before bed. And there's no bed without Jimin's legs all over Jungkook (I'm sure he must be dreaming of those thighs at this point).
Can it get more domestic than Jungkook talking to his mother and her already knowing about their schedule?

I have a feeling she and Jimin text each other regularly. Oh, if only they had filmed just a bit during their Chuseok weekend in Busan (I do assume Jimin went too, but 🤷♀️). I need to see Jimin with Jungkook's mother. She would dot on him and Jimin would be so respectful but shy and oh, I get all giddy just thinking about him. Busan boys, please visit your home town one day and share that with the world!
I refuse to accept the existence of Jimkook, sounds ugly, forced, it doesn't roll off the tongue. But Jikook? Yeah, that works. And they were in full jikook mode on the boat. That embarrassing CPR manouver by Jimin is yet another sign that they will remain that cringe couple. How did Tedros survive on that boat? No wonder he took a step back from all that up until the end.

The entire afternoon on the boat really gave us a glimpse into their original plans and how once again, they just click. They never push it, they want to do the same things and they have fun. And we still got the cuddle and drawing whales out of clouds without that moment turning into something else.

When Jimin is in top shape, without any other illness looming over their vacation, then we know we're in for some entertainment. He's much more engaging and laughs at everything while Jungkook is right there next to him, ready to joint whatever Jimin wants to do.
(Who would have thought that Tedros headbanging the first day would make him take a step back and allow them to do their own thing how they originally planned? I have lots to say about him, but for another post, there's too many nice things that happened and I focus on that at first)
And now, a few more highlights:

What is this? Cutie Jiminie who can also get angry while stuffing his face with rice and noodles and chicken all at the same time? You are what you eat. Or whom 🤭

Jungkook has always been an expert at such lines, how can Jimin still be surprised after a decade? That's what you get. You have the tattoed guy who's really into bikes and Jimin who is clearly into all that, but he's gotta take the lame lines too.

advice for baby helpol
i wont really consider myself a 'baby helpol' since im much confident in my worship and have learnt, but ofc, im still learning. heres my advice to anyone who is starting out.
⁜ keep a journal with hymns, poems, and information on the gods. make it look pretty if thats what you want.
⁜ pick up on baking! its fun and they make great food offerings.
⁜ please dont use information from modern retellings (or worse.. 'feminist' retellings from booktok.) unless you have done your research and you know its factual.
⁜ wanna learn about the gods? are the books from that time too overwhelming? no fear, overly sarcastic productions is here (but keep in mind, you have to be over 14 and they have a non-religious, academic approach.)
⁜ get candles! they can be white, or have no scent, so as long as you have good intention.
⁜ no gemstones? go on a walk and collect rocks. rocks are means of honoring the gods.
⁜ broke and have no tarot cards? print them out, draw them
⁜ if you want to make tiny altars (for travelling or because youre in the closet), use matchstick boxes, tin boxes, etc! put a symbol of your deity and a prayer, and some matchsticks.
⁜ practice the pillars of hellenism.
⁜ honor the gods on their days, this can be like writing a poem for them, or drawing them, or making an offering.
⁜ you can worship more than one god, even if you dont work with them. youre a hermes devotee but youre praying to athena for that math exam? go for it! youre a phanes devotee but youre worshipping thanatos? go buckaroo
⁜ your worship doesnt have to be 'aesthetic'. make sure its clean and tidy. the gods care about your devotion, not how pretty it is. also PLEASE WASH YOUR HANDS HOLY SHIT i realized this MUCH later so please save yourselves 🙏
ill add more if i remember any, gods bless you!
