why can't "queer" female celebrities ever say they wouldn't be where they are without lesbians. I wish they'd ask themselves why saying they owe everything to lesbians would be so much less palatable and crowd pleasing. even from female celebrities who identify as lesbians, they can never, ever, ever just thank lesbians or feminists who came before them the way they're constantly going above and beyond to thank trans people and drag queens. imagine a "queer" female celebrity saying she owes where she is today to feminists and lesbians. that's not even in their vocabulary lol. it's just all thank you so much to men, men, men, men, and more men with these women.

"Sometimes I get kinda overwhelmed on here but then I remember most of the world, especially women of the world, r “terfs” and even animals r terfs it’s just a good thing to remember" naw theres like a hundred or so of you on tumblr and that's about it.
Over 1,100 radfems have been documented on tumblr so far. And if you actually left your house every once in awhile and talked to people not in your crowd, you would figure out quickly a lot of people are ~terfs~, especially ppl who r non western or grew up in non western countries. The concept of gender is the most silliest and difficult thing to grasp. I was on your side for 5 years and I couldn’t even explain it. Why would my 70 y/o grandma from the Caribbean agree with you???? 😂😂😂
#my gf goes to a super liberal college with a high trans population#and we’ve still met at least like four women who proudly call themselves radfems#one of them even used to be on radfem tumblr lol#we are literally everywhere

wtf is a terf anyway? radical feminism isnt a club people can be excluded from, it's a critical lens to view society that translates into direct action that may or may not be exclusively female centered (abortion is for females only, issues like rape and prostitution are issues of male violence that predominately affect females but also affect males, which was understood by many noteable radical feminists). it's part of the backlash on feminism to see it as some kind of single entity that one can be included or excluded from, as opposed to a serious political position that covers a broad scope of issues. radical feminism isnt a monolith that can be collapsed by the term "terf". the left never collapses marxism, socialism, anarchism, etc into a monolith or a club one can become a member to. they're degrading the complex ideology to make sure it isn't taken seriously, to reduce it to a group of mean women in a room telling men they cant hang out with them.

American women, please never forget that the men of this country — conservative men, liberal men, white men, black men, hispanic men, asian men, young men, old men, ALL varieties of man — decided today that they hate women more than they care about the long term well being of this country. they hate women SO MUCH that a woman could be the ideal candidate, run the perfect campaign, and they STILL won’t vote for her, even when they said they would. MEN HATE WOMEN. THEY HATE YOU. THEY WILL NOT CHANGE.
THIS IS YOUR CHANCE. 4B6T NOW.

men truly do believe that their suffering is the only suffering that matters. they view women's suffering as either completely obsolete, a joke, or jerk-off material. i'm sick of it. all these people who whine about "men's mental health" can rot.

Women are always being asked to deprioritize themselves. Reproductive freedom, no fault divorce, and literal birth control are on the line and everyone is acting as if women should just sit around and twiddle our thumbs and not vote because the political system is corrupt. So when will there be a political system that women are allowed to advocate for themselves in? Because historically, there's never been one

I like art that depicts women not posing seductively or gracefully but simply existing as human beings.

no woman is required to “respect” cultural practices which are inherently degrading to them or religious beliefs which devalue them as human beings. we are not required to adhere to a state of patriarchal reverence whether we’re observing our own society or others, and we’re free to both criticize and reject any ideology that views female human beings as innately inferior or born for subservience.

Storyville - Defying the Cutting Season
Female Genital Mutilation (FGM) has been illegal in Tanzania since 1998. But every year thousands of families still plan to have their daughters cut, an ordeal that could cost them their lives. The ‘Cutting Season’ takes place during the December school holidays.
During this time hundreds of girls are saved from FGM by the police, the government and the work of the Safe House. It is run by Rhobi Samwelly, who was herself a victim of FGM, and now, not only does she valiantly run the safe house but she also works with the local police to rescue and protect girls at risk while arresting the parents and cutters.
But they have a tough and dangerous job and old customs die hard. Men believe that girls must be cut to reduce promiscuity and cut girls command twice the bride price in cows as uncut girls. Girls like Rosie, just 12 years old, have had to make the most difficult choices of their young lives - run away from home, not knowing if they will ever see their families again, or submit to female genital mutilation and child marriage.
These brave and courageous young girls are fighting against a tradition that goes back thousands of years. They are standing up for their human rights and fighting for change in their community.
The Safe House is the one safe place they can escape to.

i think this needs to be said again
biological sex holds zero bearing on your personality. anyone who wants to claim otherwise is sexist.
you are not a man just because you have a "boyish" sense of humor, "boyish" interests, "boyish" hobbies, or a "boyish" sense of style. you are not a man just because you dont want people staring at your body.
wanting to be free from unfair expectations and limitations doesn't make you a man. it makes you a feminist.

Dr. Naziha al Dulaimi - was an early pioneer of the Iraqi feminist movement. She was a co-founder and the first president of the Iraqi Women League, and a member of the Iraqi communist party.
In 1952, she wrote the book The Iraqi Woman. It was about women from the peasant class (al-fallahin) who were deprived of all rights both in terms of male suppression and class oppression. She also wrote about women from higher classes who had higher material status but were still property and not considered human.
