my first stage 5 Fire Dragon takedown in RLcraft Dregora!
I dug him out but he began flying away to the other side, then back again. so I had to chase him all night running through the blighted mobs and armed bandits... overdosing myself on stash of Ambrosia to stay alive.
eventually he was low and did fall down to the ground, so I kept going even though my minigun ammo ran out. switching to AS50 Sniper Rifle instead while keeping my safe distance.
shame it was a male though! still It was a thrilling chase.

aaaaomg... the response to my ask (i was the shark person lad) is so good :DD it got my brain bouncing around in my skull like a bouncy ball cause i love sharks and the 141 monster au
imagine an oceanic whitetip shark merman (i did mention whitetips a few times in my past ask, they're one of my favorite sharks) being in tf141 with the boys. whitetips are known for being one of the more aggressive sharks and some of the strongest in the ocean. like dragons, whitetips are prideful and stubborn in nature. they also tend to be on the larger end of merfolk, having muscular and tanky bodies to support their natural aggression. whitetips tails especially are strong so they can swim fast enough to keep up with prey - so their legs are naturally stronger to keep up with the weight of their powerful shark tail.
whitetips tend to be picky with their mates - like most of the larger shark merfolk, i imagine they'd want someone who can match their strength, and well after sparring with any four of the boys they'd definitely realize that "oh damn. maybe he is suitable" then go through the strange process of trying to court whoever they sparred with. it would involve a lot of nibbling and following them around to really determine if he's right, along with a few lost teeth that soooomehow end up on the desk of who they're courting.
ahem also dragon price and mershark reader makes me think. just a small note
but yeah that's all :) thank you for making my brain turn into a bouncy ball over my obsession with sharks and monsterfucking LMAO
Oh oh oh what if sharkmer are polygamous? Like it's so rare to find another of their kin so any time they find someone and they're compatible they end up joining/creating a polycule where everyone's fucking everyone?
So like, pre-existing poly141 with a new member reader, and at first you don't think too highly of them. But them you start sparring with them, get your ass handed as often as you hand it out, and yeah. . . you're smitten.
Soap fucking loves your little habit of nibbling on him, you two winding up on the couch somewhere with you nibbling on his pecs while he does the some to your tail, Price having a good laugh when he finds you two purring while you do it.
Gaz just likes your bulk, the fact you're so much wider and bigger than him, dwarfing him in size. I hc harpies have this old instinct to rest/nest in like caves or something, so when you wrap your strong arms around you it just makes him feel so safe, especially if you then tuck his head into your neck and he can't see and it's like he's surrounded by heaven, calm and relaxed in the same way raptors are calm when they got that hood on their head.
Ghost likes the fact you're generally quiet, likes the fact you can keep up with him and even pin him down (as well as a wraith can be pinned down). Likes being forced to submit under you, both of you tumbling around on the ground in an attempt to defeat the other until your thick tail is sweeping him out from under his feet and you're nibbling on his neck.
Price takes the longest to come around with you, mostly because he's so possessive and protective of what's his. But he sees you take care of his hoard, take care of him, and the next time you return from a mission, still wet from the swimming you'd had to do, Price pulls you into his office, a deep rumble in his throat. "Did well back there." He says as he takes your hand and bites it, keeping eye contact with you so you know he knows what he's doing, and suddenly you're lunging at him with the intent to mate.
And also sharks have 2 dicks soooo👀

Are we not Engaged? Part 3.
-Queen Eve sounds perpetually drowsy.
-Lol, Lumera gave Firene special treatment with an extra ring.
-The Firene castle explore area really is quite pretty.
-Dipwad Elusian commander is still alive.
-Oh nvm, psycho bitch killed him. Zephia really is a walking cliche roflmao.
-I think Azura dragon loli killed Lumera.
-Vander Alfred C: Alfred apologizes for not making it earlier to save Lumera, Vander is devoted.
-Clanne Framme B: They keep going on about how there’s a lot of people in the area but we don’t see any npc’s roflmao. Also Clanne’s got stage freight.
-Framme Boucheron C: Holy shit Boucheron’s voice acting is terrible. He’s a sensitive type. That’s his gimmick. His offering to read his story to Framme is cute but it just emphasizes how young she is.
-Daawww, Sommie’s following me around the Somniel, that’s a little cute. I gave him shades :)
-First paralogue \o/
-It’s called budding talent. Oh no.
-Jean has the body of a young boy and the voice of an 80 year-old woman.
-Oh I finally hit deploy limits. Goodbye Boucheron, Alfred, and Clanne.
-yeah I don’t care much what growths Jean has, I don’t need a healer to be super strong and Framme heals just fine, even with her painted-on biceps meaning she can’t throw a punch.
-Celine got mvp. Again.
-”Can I come along and help,” sure Jean, those benches ain’t gonna warm themselves :)
-Evidently Celine sneaks out to Jean’s village to get tea, but how does she disguise her hair roflmao.
Jean paralogue was really easy but I lost a villager to a flier ‘cause nobody would heal them.
-Framme Vader C: Framme’s screwing up her chores again, Vander is still serious and devoted. Wait, this is the same chore he was talking about in their C support which was ages ago. And again this support ended very quickly.
-Etie Celine C: They’re friends. Tea. Celine noticed Etie’s hand is trembling but Etie denies it.
-Louis Chloe C: Louis was spying on Chloe @,@ He’s rather shameless about watching people lol. So is Chloe.
-Training fight in Firene castle. I have to leave 1 person out. Lolsorry Boucheron, ya loser.
-Chloe finally managed to break Celine’s string of being MVP by waving the ridersbane around.
-Chloe Framme C: Chloe engages in her other character gimmick: she likes food. Framme being helpful is nice though. Oh uhm. Chloe’s taste in food is weird. I think she’d actually like Mythra’s... quisine. That said, Chloe’s passion about local foods is pretty endearing.
-Etie Clanne C: This one’s actually pretty cute. Clanne gives Etie a snack after she does a workout. She runs, yet she’s grown 0 speed and 4 consecutive levels of strength, heheh. Then again the only units she’d have doubled are armors so being slow is a wash as long as I just keep her safe.
That’s enough for now, but general thoughts;
The story’s kind of a joke so I’m mostly ignoring it. Gameplay’s QUITE solid though, I must say, and the Somniel activities are fairly engrossing and yet the Somniel is much easier to navigate than the Monastery was.
In terms of gameplay, Alear, Celine, Louis (seriously, kudos to IntSys for giving us an actually tanky armor knight again, that’s how you make the class good!), and Vander are my MVPs, Chloe, Clanne, and Etie can pull their weight just fine, Framme is basically just a healbot, and Boucheron and Alfred are waiting for their replacements so they can get benched.

Tagged by @drumlincountry, ok, let’s do this!
What are you currently reading? I’m always reading multiple things, but most actively ‘unto others’ by Elliot Sober and David Sloan Wilson
What’s your favorite movie you saw in theaters this past year? I haven’t gone to the cinema in years, I think the last thing I saw in the cinema was Kingsman the Golden Circle in Oh God 2017. But I’m looking forward to seeing Dungeons and Dragons Honour Among Thieves in the cinema this year!
What do you usually wear? Depends on the weather really! As long as it’s cold enough for it it’s a lot of hand-knit sweaters. In summer it’s simple t-shirts or button ups, usually with floral patterns. In between a lot of long-sleeved button ups, preferably also patterned, with a thin sweater over them, depending. I’ll usually wear stompy boots, leather sneakers, or birkenstocks depending on weather, and a simple bomberjacket in summer or my brown long heavy wintercoat in winter. With my flat cap, of course, but not inside.
How tall are you? 5′10 or 1.78 if you are sensible
What’s your star sign? Do you share a birthday with a celebrity or historical event? I share a birthday with the massacre at Sebrenica during the Bosnian genocide, the reaction to which made it a turning point in that war (NATO got involved, which saved a lot of lives and tankies can stuff it). That makes me a cancer.
Do you go by your name or a nickname? I go by my name, I picked it so I might well use it no?
Did you grow up to be what you wanted to be as a child? Not really, child me wanted jobs that required me to be way less of a klutz than I am.
What’s something you’re good at vs. something you’re bad at? I’m very good at knitting and formal analytic thinking and very bad at understanding dishonesty of all kinds. Unless I can tell from factual evidence that someone is lying, I will most likely keep operating under the assumption that they are acting in good faith
Dog or Cats? Yes
If you draw/write, or create in any way, what's your favourite picture/favourite line/favourite etc. from something you created this past year? ‘“We caught some… spies, I think, your majesty. We’ll bring them downstairs for questioning. We don’t…. we don’t think they are dangerous.” The taller boys’ expression turned distinctly insulted at that.’ (a fic I’m still working on)
What's something you would like to create content for? I would enjoy making more decorations for my home
What’s something you’re currently obsessed with? Longform Dresden Files fanfic from 2013. Don’t ask.
What’s a hidden talent of yours? A lot of people need a surprisingly long time to figure out I have a sense of humour
Are you religious? Yeah
Are you in a relationship? Nope. Friends are good though, including those with benefits.
What’s something you wish to have at this moment? The ability to go to sleep directly after going to bed

Can I add to this? Because. Whoo BOI, do i have some ideas about this stuff! ESPECIALLY the lab invasion one, oh so many characters put in one place, so much potential. (After working on this for a bit: It's gonna get LONG, buckle up.)
So I'm gonna say this is far enough into the story to have Hinami and Ghoulzawa as Aogiri members who could show up to cause extra carnage.
So, On the idea of the CCG raiding HySy studio: Y'know how Aogiri like to show up and rip into the CCG while they're busy trying to attack some other ghoul group? Yeah. If Eto sends Hinami with followers, along with Ghoulzawa to disrupt the the HySy raid: Hinami sends her followers to attack the CCG's supply lines and communications and cut off CCG reinforcements, breaking up their containment line and preventing the CCG from sealing off escape routes, stuff like that. Meanwhile, her and Ghoulzawa target the CCG's on-site HQ, using Hinami and Ghoulzawa's senses to find the command post.
Takizawa has an, uh, painfully intimate knowledge of psychological warfare (gee thanks, Eto and Kanou), and Eto's probably taught Hinami about how to demoralize her enemies. So Hinami and Takizawa open all the CCG's comm channels, set the volume to MAX and the radio to "transmit". And then they noisily murder the CCG's field commanders while the boots on the ground can hear all of it. Because Hinami's fighting style, which she's had since she was like 14, starts by cutting at her opponent's limbs. It's a fighting style that's brutally effective yet gives your opponent plenty of time to scream while you kill them.
I'm also thinking of the violent 4th Ward ghouls being kinda impressed watching this shy, quiet girl going hard murder, Hina-chan might end up with some admirers among the younger part of the 4th Ward crowd.
So with that plus Asa and any crew she might have picked up, and that the 4th Ward has a high population of violent ghouls who have reason to intervene, I could see the CCG marching into a wasteful, bloody, costly, militarily disastrous slaughterhouse.
If Eto brings Hinami and Takizawa along to the lab attack instead: There is, of course, all the angst and carnage potential of putting Tatara, Houji and Takizawa in one place, with many possible results.
But I'm thinking about Akira vs. Hinami angst potential, Takizawa vs. Akira angst potential, and the... "ex-Anteiku crew seeing Hinami not being the gentle, squeamish-about-violence girl they knew" angst potential, the "I didn't realize seeing Hinami grown up (by ghouls standards) would feel like grief" potential.
Akira being called in as backup, hearing "Owl", "Black Rabbit" and "Yotsume" (or maybe even "Fueguchi" if they've been an investigator long enough to remember that name and recognize the distinctive kagune) on the radio. Akira running through hallways with increasing levels of blood, bodies, and battle damage, getting a bit fixated on finding the ghouls who killed her father, that vengeance motivation coming out more. Until she rounds a corner into a hallway and there's Fueguchi, in a hallway that's become a meat grinder for the CCG (like Hinami does in the Dragon Arc). Maybe Hinami has a corpse impaled on one of her spine tentacles, that she's biting pieces out of - she's not just trying to be horrifying to the CCG (although a bit of psychological warfare isn't out of the question), Hinami is a ghoul who needs to replenish herself mid-fight because such a massive kagune tires her out quickly. (Hina and Saiko are mirrors on opposite sides: super-hearing, scent-oriented to the point of being able to identify and track people across distances, being the "heart" of her crew, fairly tanky and a devastating kagune, but lacking stamina and overall combat experience).
Of course, Akira just sees her father's killer, amidst a sea of carnage, chewing on a fresh kill. (And Hinami's mask is one that makes her look spookier by covering her expressive, emotive eyes, combined with her grim, detached "Here On Business" face.)
Akira of course pulls Fueguchi One, lashing out with it - and maybe we see Hinami's Business Face crack? Hinami now with her posture more aggressive and showing teeth, a bloody grimace across her face. Since Hinami wants what's left of her parents back, she meets and grapples Akira's quinque with her own kagune, tangling it with a spine tentacle so that Akira can't use it anymore - and then yanking it in. Either this breaks Akira's grip and disarms her, or if she keeps holding onto it, it's a hard enough pull to yank her off her feet and dislocate her shoulder, leaving her face-down in the blood and guts, at Hinami's feet... I think I like the second option more. Akira, a vengeance-driven professional paramilitary/ paid killer, being so attached to her weapon (made of Hinami's dad) that she gets injured, soaked in blood and at the mercy of one of the targets of her vengeance? it's thematically delicious.
Akira's lying there in the carnage, And Hinami is like "I told myself I don't hate you, I just want what's left of my parents back" while Akira's down in the gory muck, and then showing off that ghoul strength by lifting Akira up close and personal at eye level, so that Akira can see maybe red glow behind the mask, maybe tears of grief and rage leaking from under it. Hinami, angrier now "But you know what? You're a professional killer, you're not better than us ghouls" and tosses Akira back down...
...right into Takizawa's grip. I'm thinking he chokes Akira like he does in canon, and in this AU bites a piece out of her between her neck and shoulder. Which makes Hinami comment about whether or not Takizawa knows how ghoul marriage works.
Akira, now kinda delirious, tries biting Takizawa in the same spot, even though her human teeth just slide off his ghoulified skin. The blood on her face, though, leaves a very clear bloody mouth ring where the tried (symbolic/non-literal bite mark). Just YES on the "it takes Akira being extremely drunk or otherwise delirious to admit her feelings" stuff.
Now, of course, Hinami and Takizawa COULD leave Akira behind, leave her wondering why the hell a ghoul would spare her life... but I think "A ghouls fights Akira but chooses to spare her" is a role better filled by Touka. SO. I think Hinami and Takizawa should take Akira with, as a captive. After all, I did just have Takizawa and Akira symbolically marry each other in TG-language.
(Who from the Anteiku crew do I want to witness this scene? Touka? but she'd be busy trying to jailbreak her dad and find the quinque made from her mom. Irimi or Koma? Renji's busy finding out where the hell Uta's locked up, so not Renji unless he stumbles into this scene as the various ghouls retreat with what they came for. HEY. Yeah, I like this one, the timing is better with this scene be right before they retreat from the lab.)
And then we can have the "seeing Hinami grown up as a ghoul feels like grief (and I don't want to admit that seeing how much she changed scares me)" conversation, as part of the emotional reunion after they're back at they're hideout (because, they can't go back to HySy, it's been raided.)
...Man this has gotten SO LONG and I'm still overflowing with ideas for thisssss, asdjkfhlkjfdsghf
If Tatara got caught by the doves I think they will try to make armor quinques from him like Arata since his kakuja also looks like an armor. Plus he is second in command of Aogiri Tree so he has informations. Therefore they keep him alive.
Idk, Houji is the one who can get the most information from Tatara to everyone's surprise so Marude keeps sending him. Houji wearing armor made from Tatara and it makes him sick because he looks like Yan now. Houji joking about how he is finally inside Tatara after all these years and he's grateful there's a wall between them. Houji pitying Tatara for being in the most dehumanizing place because he always sees Tatara as a person. Houji refers to Tatara by his real name while the rest calls Tatara by his number. Tatara gets rehabilitated as an investigator okay i stop now

5e Zac, the Secret Weapon build (League of Legends)
Tumblr media
(Artwork by Christian Fell. Made for Riot Games.)
No one:
Literally no one:
@tigerkirby215: “HEY FUCKERS WHO WANTS A ZAC BUILD?!”
Full disclosure: I watched Dorans and Dragon’s video for Zac and while it’s really well done (like really well done. I honestly suggest you watch it) I felt like it took a bit of an interesting direction. Ds&D and I have always had different ideas for our builds and I think with the release of Tasha’s there’s actually a lot of interesting new directions to take Zac in.
Also spoiler alert but this build is the most jank-ass fucking shit I have ever made but it strangely works really well? Like I literally sat on this build for two months debating if I should even post it. Also Zac’s a grappler, because of course he is.
GOALS
There's plenty of me to go around - Zac stretches and bounces and changes his shape more-or-less at will.
Why thanks; I do work out - Zac is one of those “hold you down for 10 seconds total in a teamfight” types of junglers.
I'm not as squishy as I look - Of course to be a big bundle of green goo we’ll need to be big. Like, really big.
RACE
END ME I’M MAKING A BUGBEAR! :D
Okay to be fair Bugbear hate is kinda overblown, especially by yours truly. You get +2 to Strength and a +1 to Dexterity as well as Darkvision and several other useful traits: you have a Powerful Build to carry more stuff, for one. You are also Sneaky and get proficiency with Stealth, which is nice because if you launch a Surprise Attack you can do an extra 2d6 damage.
But of course the main trait of a Bugbear is their Long-Limbed bodies. All your melee attacks have a 5 foot longer range, which is obviously important to make Stretching Strikes!
Custom Lineage: If you’re insistent on making a custom “goo creature” race with Tasha’s Cauldron of Everything rules here are my suggestions: make yourself Medium (yeah duh) and give yourself proficiency with the Athletics skill. Increase your Strength by 2 and take the Skilled Expert feat for Expertise in Athletics along with a +1 in Wisdom. You will have an uneven DEX score but I dunno just go for Athlete or something later in this build.
ABILITY SCORES
15; WISDOM - Braum isn’t the only champion who believes the heart is the strongest muscle, as if you’d read Zac’s lore he is actually quite a compassionate soul. Also we need Wisdom for our main ability.
14; CONSTITUTION - Zac is a tanky boy, so up the tankiness!
13; DEXTERITY - When you can stretch and squeeze like silly putty dexterity comes naturally. We need that dexterity to jump over walls, among other things.
12; STRENGTH - A lot of it is elastic strength, but if you’re going to throw Cho’gath into Shyvana you do also need upper body strength.
10; CHARISMA - He’s a nice guy when you get to know him, but Zac’s also a bunch of Zaun sewer goo.
8; INTELLIGENCE - Living in the sewers and then later being raised as a weapon means you don’t know any math, science, or history.
BACKGROUND
Zac did grow up in the streets, but the skills from the Urchin background don’t fit him well so we’ll be modifying it heavily. Take proficiency in Acrobatics to squash and stretch as well as Perception to keep those wards up. You can pick your choice of languages or tools because Zac kinda... doesn’t do much other than fight? I mean he’s literally called “the Secret Weapon” what do you want from me?
But your background feature of City Secrets is very useful for traveling the streets of Zaun, letting you find your way around alleys and jungle gank paths to travel through the city twice as fast as the average person! "Put some spring in your step."
Tumblr media
(Artist unknown. Made for Riot Games.)
THE BUILD
LEVEL 1 - MONK 1
Been awhile since we’ve visited the good ol’ Monk class eh? Well you can grab Athletics finally, as well as Insight to know if someone’s worth clobbering. You also get proficiency with an artisan’s tool or musical instrument, and I mean... Zac still doesn’t have much lore.
But how about some class features? Monks get Unarmored Defense equal to their Wisdom plus their Dexterity, for 14 AC total. Would medium armor be better? Yes, but you can’t wear armor if you want to use Martial Arts! Martial Arts gives you a variety of benefits: you can punch with DEX or STR, your punches are now a d4 (and will scale as you get levels), and if you punch with your Action you can punch with a Bonus Action after the fact!
LEVEL 2 - MONK 2
Second level Monks get Ki points to use for a variety of features: Flurry of Blows lets you attack twice with your Bonus Action instead of once, Patient Defense lets you dodge as a Bonus Action, and Step of the Wind lets you Dash or Disengage as a Bonus Action. An important thing to mention about Step of the Wind is that it doubles your jump distance, for those big Elastic Slingshot jumps!
You can also put on some boots and get some Unarmored Movement. 10 more feet to be exact!
I guess I’m also obliged to mention Dedicated Weapon from Tasha’s Cauldron of Everything which lets you turn any weapon you’re proficient in into a Monk weapon as long as it’s not Heavy or Special. This will be important later but it’s not exactly in-character for Zac.
LEVEL 3 - MONK 3
Third level Monks get to choose their Monastic Tradition and Way of the Astral Self will give you some long stretchy limbs! As a bonus action you can spend 1 Ki to summon Arms of the Astral Self. When you do so, each creature of your choice that you can see within 10 feet of you must succeed on a Dexterity saving throw or take force damage equal to two rolls of your Martial Arts die due to your Unstable Matter.
Your arms will stay up for 10 minutes and give the following benefits:
You can use your Wisdom modifier in place of your Strength modifier when making Strength checks and Strength saving throws.
You can use the spectral arms to make unarmed strikes, which has the following benefits:
The reach of the arms is 5 feet greater than normal, which stacks with your Bugbear arms. 15 foot reach with extra stretchy arms!
The unarmed strikes you make with the arms can use your Wisdom modifier in place of your Strength or Dexterity modifier for the attack and damage rolls, and their damage type is force.
You can also absorb some blows with Deflect Missiles. When you are hit by a ranged weapon attack you can use your reaction to reduce the damage by 1d10 + your DEX mod + your monk level. If you reduce the damage to 0, you can catch the missile. You can then spend 1 ki point to throw it back as part of the same reaction. You make this attack with proficiency, regardless of your weapon proficiencies, and the missile counts as a monk weapon for the attack, which has a normal range of 20 feet and a long range of 60 feet.
Tasha’s Cauldron of Everyone also gave Monks the Ki-Fueled Attack ability which pretty much doesn’t impact you in the slightest.
LEVEL 4 - MONK 4
4th level Monks get an Ability Score Improvement but we’re instead going to grab the Skilled Expert feat. You can increase your Wisdom by 1 and grab proficiency in Survival for optimal jungle clear. But what we’re mainly here for is to make our hands extra sticky with expertise in Athletics! Is the build starting to make sense now?
You can also land safely after an Elastic Slingshot jump thanks to Slow Fall, reducing fall damage by 5 times your Monk level. If you want to keep yourself in the fight then Quickened Healing (also from TCoE, because that book really likes giving new Monk features) will let you take advantage of Cell Division for 2 Ki points, healing you for a number rolled on your Martial Arts die plus your Proficiency bonus. It’s not much but in a pinch it might save you!
LEVEL 5 - MONK 5
5th level Monks get an Extra Attack, so you can punch twice with your action, and then punch some more with your Bonus Action! You can also bring some heavy CC into the party with Stunning Strike; if you hit an enemy in melee you can force a Constitution save or stun them! Yes actual honest-to-god League of Legends stun!
Oh and because Tasha’s Cauldron really wanted to buff the Monk you get Focused Aim, letting you use up to 3 Ki points to increase your roll to hit, at a 2:1 ratio. (1 Ki point = +2 to hit)
Tumblr media
(Artwork by SemLimit on DeviantArt.)
LEVEL 6 - BARBARIAN 1
Jumping over to Barbarian, land of the true tanks. Barbarians get Unarmored Defense based on Constitution that we won’t be using but I’m obliged to mention anyways. Of course what we’re here for is Rage which will augment you in a number of ways: you’ll resist Bludgeoning, Piercing, and Slashing damage and will do more damage with Strength-based attacks (which you probably won’t be making.) But the most important feature is this line right here:
You have advantage on Strength checks and Strength saving throws.
You know what’s a Strength check? Athletics! So even if you use Wisdom for it you’ll still have Advantage on top of Expertise! And Athletics is used for grappling! At least that’s how I’d rule it, but talk to your DM just to make sure they’ll let this dopey shit into their game.
LEVEL 7 - BARBARIAN 2
Second level Barbarians can let themselves go with Reckless Attack. Your Unstable Matter will give you advantage on your attack at the cost of giving enemies advantage to hit you.
You also get Danger Sense for advantage on Dexterity saves against effects you can see coming. Is a Jinx rocket heading your way? Slingshot out of there!
LEVEL 8 - BARBARIAN 3
Tasha’s Cauldron of Everything gave Barbarians Primal Knowledge for a free skill proficiency from the Barbarian list, so take Intimidation I guess because you are a huge freaky slime guy.
Third level Barbarians get to choose their Primal Path and guess what? It’s Totem Warrior time! As a Spirit Seeker you can cast Speak With Animals and Beast Sense as a Ritual but we all know that’s not what we’re here for. What we’re really here for is the Totem Spirit of the Bear. You can now resist all damage while Raging, with the exception of Psychic damage. Hey there has to be %health damage to deal with tanks after all. (Now if only they’d nerf Grievous Wounds.)
LEVEL 9 - MONK 6
This will be our last Monk level; sad I know. But it’s worth it for the Visage of the Astral Self. You can use a Bonus Action and a Ki point to summon the visage. (And can do it while summoning your arms.) While the spectral visage is present, you gain several benefits:
Astral Sight lets you see through magical (and nonmagical) darkness up to 120 feet.
Wisdom of the Spirit gives you advantage on Wisdom (Insight) and Charisma (Intimidation) checks.
And Word of the Spirit lets you either whisper in team chat to a creature of your choice that you can see within 60 feet of you, or shout in all chat so that everyone within 600 feet can hear you.
Your regular fists are also considered magical thanks to Ki-Empowered Strikes, and you get 5 more feet of Unarmored Movement! "Woohoo!"
Tumblr media
(Artwork by Dragonflamebg on DeviantArt.)
LEVEL 10 - FIGHTER 1
Teamfight time? Team Fighter time! First level Fighters get a Fighting Style and since you’re punching people your only real option is Superior Technique, giving you a d6 Combat Superiority die to use on a Battle Master Manuever. That Manuever shall be Grappling Strike, letting you grapple as a Bonus Action after punching someone for some Stretching Strikes!
You can also heal with Cell Division assuming the enemy team doesn’t stack Grievous Wounds thanks to Second Wind; it’s a d10 plus your Fighter level. "Keep it together."
LEVEL 11 - FIGHTER 2
Second level Fighters get Action Surge for even more punching! This will be more important in like, two levels.
LEVEL 12 - FIGHTER 3
Third level Fighters get to choose their Martial Archetype and for some crowd control in a teamfight Battle Master is a great choice. You are a Student of War which means more tool proficiencies which make no sense because Zac has no lore woo! But of course what we’re mainly here for is Combat Superiority: you have four d8 Superiority Die (plus a d6 one from your Fighting Style) which you can use on a variety of Maneuvers:
Trip Attack is good if you want to bounce, forcing the target you hit to make a Strength save or fall over!
Distracting Strike is like stunning the target in the sense that it gives your allies an opening, but unlike Trip Attack you don’t have to force a saving throw. (Instead Distracting Strike just works after you hit them!)
And if you think your arms aren’t stretchy enough already? Boom; Lunging Attack for 20 foot reach!
LEVEL 13 - FIGHTER 4
4th level Fighters get an Ability Score Improvement: hey it’s everyone’s favorite feat Grappler! You have advantage on attacks against enemies you grappled, and if you’re grappling someone you can then pin them to hold them in place!
Now pinning someone you’ve grappled does take an action but here’s where Action Surge comes in: turn 1? Grab them. Turn 2? Pin them! Easy!
LEVEL 14 - FIGHTER 5
5th level Fighters get an Extra Attack... which you already have. "I hate it when this happens."
LEVEL 15 - FIGHTER 6
Hey more Ability Score Improvements! Want all the fun of a high Constitution score without the Constitution? Look no further than the Tough feat: it gives you +2 HP per level for some big gains!
Tumblr media
(Artwork by GisAlmeida on DeviantArt.)
LEVEL 16 - FIGHTER 7
7th level Fighters get to Know Your Enemy: by spending a minute studying someone (IE looking at the scoreboard) you can learn if an enemy is superior, inferior, or equal to you in a number of areas described by the ability.
You also get one more Combat Superiority die and learn two more Maneuvers: Goading Attack will make it harder for enemies to hit your friends (and it works against Tier 4 enemies who likely resist fears), and Disarming Attack will let you stick your hand to your opponent’s weapon to make them drop it!
LEVEL 17 - FIGHTER 8
8th level means more ASIs and I’m starting to think ignoring all your stats was a bad idea. More Wisdom means better punches, better grabs, and better AC.
LEVEL 18 - FIGHTER 9
9th level Fighters get Indomitable, letting them reroll a failed saving throw once per Long Rest. Regardless of what you roll on the new die however you have to use the new result. This can be used on Death saves to try to keep alive a little longer thanks to Cell Division.
LEVEL 19 - FIGHTER 10
10th level Battle Masters get Improved Combat Superiority. Your superiority die are d10s now; even the one from your Fighting Style! You do also learn more Maneuvers but honestly? We got just about everything that we need already. If you’ve hit level 19 playing Zac League of Legends then you deserve to make some choices of your own.
LEVEL 20 - FIGHTER 11
Our final level is the 11th level of Fighter for an Extra Attack that does stack! That means you have 3 attacks total and one extra from Martial Arts!
FINAL BUILD
PROS
Beat up, or beat down? I'm flexible - No matter how you look at it 4 attacks per round is great, especially since you can give yourself Advantage and boost your damage output with Battle Master Maneuvers.
Pick on someone your own size - If everything goes well you should have a solid 200 health by level 20! Definitely nothing to sneeze at, especially with Rage giving you resistance to almost everything and Second Wind letting you heal yourself!
This is gonna get messy - You’ve got a +16 to Athletics checks for Grappling when using your Astral Arms, and can give yourself Advantage or add Superiority die to your Grapple checks. Do I need to explain that that’s really good?
CONS
Don't push your luck, champ - None of your stats are maxed out, and that’s bad. Your hit modifier isn’t great, your Battle Master saving throw is low, but most importantly your AC is really bad. Big health is nice but not being hit is also very helpful. Just saying if you have the chance to go for Point Buy I’d take it.
I never skip breakfast - A small pool of Ki combined with limited Maneuver die means that you’re running on some very potent fumes. Frequent short rests will be needed to make the most out of this build.
These jerks don't know when to quit! - Grappling builds have the ever-constant problem of falling off in the late game when most foes simply can’t be grabbed. This build honestly peaks around level 13 and just falls off from there. This is definitely one of my builds that I think works better in a low level campaign.
But if you want something unique that works well early here’s your build! Big reach to hold everyone in place so your party can beat them up. Playing the CC tank might not be that glorious but it’s a job someone’s gotta do. And remember: "It's not how much you can lift. It's how good you look!"

My most magnificent mega must (have) mods memo.
So, I’ve been putting this off (big surprise!), but the time has come! I am going to try and provide some recommendations of my favorite mods. Mods I will not play the game without, or mods I love so much, I can’t recommend them highly enough! Hopefully some of you will find a new excuse to play one of these games again! I will split the list up into games so you skip if you don’t play a certain game. Again, these are my personal recommendations, so please don’t get all bent out of shape over this people. I also won’t be adding the very amazing utility mods (such as SkyUI or mcm or mod organizers) as I feel these are required mods. Today's installment -
~Skyrim~
VIGILANT  +  VIGILANT Voiced - English Addon Okay, where do I start with the amazingingness of the mod? It’s massive, compelling, scary (chapter 3 holy fucking shitballs, batman!), and just absolutely perfectly executed on every level horror mod! This is not a mod you complete in a couple of hours, this you need to put aside a day or 2 and go through all 5 chapters! 1 guy made this. 1 awesome japanese dovha, alas it’s not as adored as it should be as, when originally released, the english subtitles (literally translations from Google) didn’t really translate well... or at all at some points. Hence why you need the voiced addon which makes this mod a 15+ hour, fully awesomely voiced adventure to seek out daedra, and be physically, and morally tested by the one and only Daedric Prince of domination, Molag Bal. Your choices WILL affect the outcome. This mod gives you everything you want from a mod. New weapons, new armour, new enemies, dark soul like boss battles, new places, new people, new land. With Halloween quickly approaching, this is the perfect time to give this a shot!
Legacy of the Dragonborn
I stayed away from this mod for SO long thinking it was just a massive oversize player home to put all your crap on display. I was wrong. I was SO wrong. This mod is the ultimate scavenger hunt turned up to 11. It adds some of the best mods out there and puts them all together to make you WANT to go find that bloody staff, or helm, because A, it now looks amazing, and B, there’s a place for EVERYTHING in the museum, it must be filled! It adds old relics, new quests, a very gorgeous fair sized player home, you get to go to Elsweyr, and even get an airship you CAN use later! And trust me when I say, there is nothing that looks quite as impressive as your dovah walking around a city with your massive ass airship looming overhead. The way everything gets placed into the world is fucking flawless, and if you’re bored or just want more out of Skyrim, this is the mod that does that, and WAY more. Also a massive bonus, it has several patches for other mods that didn’t get incorporated (vigilant being among them) to add extra wings for you to display the items from other mods!
Interesting NPCs
Another mod I stupidly avoided to begin with. So as we know, vanilla followers are... meh. But now with all these new battles and exploring you have to do, you might want someone watching your back, right? Forget vanilla, time to go interesting! This mod adds -
• 250+ Voiced NPCs • 25+ Followers with Location Based Commentary • 15+ Marriage NPCs
This mod makes Skyrim feel inhabited, but with REAL people. People who you can, should, and will want to talk to. The voice acting is just fantastic, the characters are an absolute joy, they fit into the world so perfectly you’d never know they weren’t there all along! Well... Except for the fact they’re actually interesting, and have more than 5 things to say! It also has something called ‘Super Followers’. These followers actually comment on what’s happening in your story. Just about to go kill your first dragon? They have something to say about it. Just joined the college of mages? Have a chat to see what they think! I can not express how much this will change your game, but 151% for the fucking better! Oh! And just in case you were running short on things to do, this also adds 50+ more quests! *(footnote) Pleaaassssee go to Soljund's Sinkhole and take Rumarin with you. What he says when you clear that place out has me laughing my ass off every time.
Immersive Citizens - AI Overhaul
Are you tired of being the only one is Skyrim who actually seems to DO anything? Are you weirded out by the fact when you walk into an inn at 4am everyone is doing the same thing as they were at 2pm last week? Confused as hell by the comment ‘Do you hunt? The plains outside Whiterun are ripe with game.’ How the fuck would you know, Anoriath?! You never leave Whiterun, dude! EVER! That ends with this mod. Now people have routines. They sleep, they eat, they walk around, they don’t just stay in one place all the time! It makes the npc’s go from a static feature and changes them into actual people, or goes a long way to help! Even people like carriage drivers now have a lil tent near the carriage, and will even take shelter under cover if it starts raining. (if it’s not too far from the carriage!) Random people will now not try and fight the big dragon who is burning everything to a crisp, but instead run away and take shelter, you know, like a normal person would? Which is helpful, as I tend to hit them with a stray spell then get into shit for accidentally electrocuting the blacksmith or someone who shouldn’t have stood in the way of the MASSIVE FUCKING DRAGON IN THE FIRST PLACE! Anyway... This mod is awesome and makes all the vanilla npc’s less static and weird!
Relationship Dialogue Overhaul - RDO
Don’t know about you but, I’m kinda bored with the dialogue in this game. The same 5 lines on repeat, over and over and OVER again. I want people who hate me to say something a bit more nasty that ‘What do YOU want?’ This mod adds over 5000 lines of dialog that was never used. Braith finally has more insults to throw at you! Which is great, because I hate that kid and now you will too! Your rivals will be rude to you. Your friends will compliment you. And your spouse will finally say more than a handful of lines to you! With this and the AI overhaul Skyrim will finally feel like it’s come alive. It seems like such a small addition, but it makes a huge impact when you hear lines that you’ve never heard before!
PC Head Tracking and Voice Type &  Expressive Facial Animation (M)  (F)
So we’ve finally got a living breathing Skyrim, and holy shit, it’s a beautiful thing, right? Time to focus on bringing you to life. Don’t know about you, but I found it plain fucking odd that I didn’t ever look at the person who’s talking to me. Like, not even accidently. I also found it creepy the only time I ever made any sound whatsoever was when I shouted. So the first mod is going to fix that shit. You’ll finally look at the person talking to you, or at that dagger you’re just about to steal. What's more, you’ll be able to assign a voice to yourself, so you’ll greet people who talk to you. Fun doesn’t stop there! You can download voice packs such as, Ciri, Yenifer and loads of others! But... What if you know who you want them to sound like and there isn’t a pack for them? Well, make your own! The page is really good and explains how. So we’re not a clueless goon anymore, we look and talk, but that basically makes us no better than the T 800 terminator. The second mod will make you actually have emotions, instead of constant blank face. You’ll smile at friends and loved ones, and scowl at people who you hate, like you Elrindir. For the last time, I didn’t mean to steal the fucking apple pie! But I think me spending HUNDREDS of gold should have made up for that and did NOT warrant you sending a group of thugs to come kick the shit out of me!  Sorry. Just... Some unfinished business between me and that bastard bosmer.
Enhanced Lights and FX
I have a potato as a laptop, as such a lot of these amazing ENB’s are totally off the table for me. But... We all deserve a pretty Skyrim, right? Fuck yes we do! And this is the mod that does that for me. So there are two versions of this bad boy, and you will really want to think about which one you want to go for. You’ve got standard, or hardcore. The MAIN difference is, the hardcore version will make dungeons dark. No, I mean pitch black darkness. Really think you know bleak fall barrow? Install hardcore then go run through it. It make sense that it would be dark down in these places, but fuck me dark is now really dark, which I personally love, but you might not. Install at least the main file and the weather mod and I guarantee when you boot your game back up you’ll be saying ‘wow’.
Enhanced Character Edit  OR  RaceMenu
Okay, first off you only need one or the other NOT both. Here’s the difference. If you want to make a character that looks like they’re from FFXV or korean mmo, you’ll want to get Enhanced character edit. They’re all so damn pretty! Even the men are pretty! If you want something a little less cute looking and maybe more mature, Racemenu is character creator for you. Both give you a TON more customization when creating your new oc, down to finger and toe length and what’s not to love about that??
Enhanced Camera
You finally have a body in first person mode. not just hands when attacking. Which FYI Bethesda, is creepy as fuck. Next mod.
Familiar Faces
Right, last one as we could be here forever, but I need to do more of these things for other games so let's finish with something stupid, but awesome, shall we? You know who’d make the best companion? That spellsword character you made. Or the sneaky archer. Or that tanky as fuck warrior, but they’re on that other save.. No more! When you fire up the game with this mod installed, you get a portal stone placed in your inventory. Use it and get get warped into this empty hall. Go to any of the books on the pedestals and hit yes when prompted. You, your abilities, spells, shouts, game progress and inventory has just been recorded. Load up another save and do the same in a different book, then you can go recruit... you! You can even make yourself marribale! Got that perfect otp? Create them both and have them travel around with you! Want them to use their shouts? No problem! Want them to not use shouts? Thats fine too! Isn’t that overpowered? Who gives a flying fuck?!
Now go have fun in Tamriel, Bahlaan fahdonne!

Ieyasu came for my saving-for-Gala-Luca throat and I still managed to get him with 100 of my 250-ish saved up sommons >:3c
Now to go back into saving-for-Gala-Luca mode. After the absolute nightmare that was the Gala Elly banner, I’m not taking any risks this time.
Anyway, more about my summons under the cut [TL;DR: I got more than I even wanted, and also if anyone’s feeling iffy on this banner I just wanna let you know that Chitose is basically Light!Emma and he’s probably the best new unit on the entire banner lmao]
The last few weeks of events were really generous and got me all the way up to 250 or so saved summons, and after seeing that Ieyasu was gonna be featured on this banner along with like four other units I was terrified that it wouldn’t be enough to get him, and that I’d be left with no real chance of getting Gala Luca afterward, but then I got Ieyasu after 100 summons so we’re all good, lol. Let’s just say that once I saw that rainbow blade every single muscle in my body was clenched as I faced the imminent coin toss between getting Ieyasu and Nobunaga. And thankfully I got what I wanted in the end.
I also got two copies of Mitsuhide, who I didn’t really care one way or another about, but now I have her, lmao. I honestly don’t even think she’s worth pulling for since she only seems somewhat better than Fleur, but I’m happy to have her.
The most surprising part of this banner was that I randomly got my first copy of Yaten, which I’m EXTREMELY happy about. His banner was one of the first times [along with Ieyasu, ironically] where I really felt bad about not managing to pull him while he was featured, so I’m happy he finally came home. I was seriously considering dream summoning him in the future, and now I don’t have to. I’ll probably still be dream summoning Delphi soon, though, since Cygames is doing everything in their power to make me regret initially thinking he was a bad character, lol. So yeah this banner gave me the two 5-star shadow unit dudes who I’d missed out on previously so that’s pretty nifty. I think the only shadow 5-stars I’m missing now are Summer Verica, Delphi, and I guess Veronica but I’m not really counting limited units. And out of those three I only really care about Delphi since I already have Heinwald and Gala Cleo.
I got Chitose really early in my summons, and it almost made me contemplate stopping there, but I decided to keep going until I got Ieyasu. Which thankfully happened without me using all of my summons. I do think that Chitose is the real gem of this banner, but Ieyasu’s new mana spiral upgrade also makes him noteworthy again.
I thought that maybe at most Chitose would be a light version of DY-Xanfried, but nope he’s literally a light version of Emma, lol. I thought Cygames wouldn’t put such a powerful unit behind a limited banner, but here we are. Light continues to suffer from having most of their good units being limited. At least this whole banner makes me feel a bit better about not having gotten DY-Malora.
I was kinda worried about the idea of Chitose being a curse-res light wand, since I feel like endgame curse-res light content is kinda punishing toward ranged units, but they pretty much specifically designed his kit to make him super tanky, with his +20% defense passive and his 30% Max HP shield on his S2, lmao. At least if you use Chocolatiers or something on him, using those two together is probably enough to get past HZD’s HP check, so he might actually become a really good, accessible meta unit for that fight. But in general as a strength buffbot he’s pretty much automatically one of the best light units already.
On the other hand I think Hanabusa is probably going to be inferior to Yachiyo until he hopefully gets a mana spiral upgrade that fixes his partial curse res and gives his kit some new elements to make him shine. But I think if he can get that upgrade later [or if he can manage to get by with a curse res print in HZD], he might be really good. It’s hard to tell how good his kit as a whole is at the moment, but I like that he has team strength buffs built into his kit, and some pretty high buff time increases based on his S1 skill shift.
We’ll see how it shakes out, but I feel like Mitsuhide probably isn’t going to completely erase Fleur from the meta. It’s not quite like the Thaniel-Jiang Ziya situation, since Fleur is still super strong on her own, and I feel like Mitsuhide doesn’t provide much more aside from higher stats as a 5-star.
I’m basically forcing myself to not care about Nobunaga so that i can resist the completionist urge to keep pulling for her to have her in my collection just because she exists, so I’m just going to think of her as a unit that I can live without, for my own sanity, lmao. But honestly she doesn’t stand out a whole lot, at least not after all the massive buffs the flame roster just got. Her buff dispels don’t seem very special now that Euden and Naveed can do that too, and the unique debuff on her S1 kinda seems like . . . a worse version of bleed, lol.
Daikokuten seems like a good dragon, but I’m not gonna bother chasing after him since I got Cupid a while ago and I’m working on unbinding him. He seems like he provides more raw strength than Cupid if you can maintain a high combo count, but Cupid’s heal and crit rate buff pretty much ensure that he’s still going to be a highly valued dragon in the long run, so I’m fine if I don’t get the new one.
I honestly might have done the platinum dragon summon once if it was a thing where you got a guaranteed copy of Daikokuten each time, but it’s literally just ‘you get one of the 5-star dragons and Daikokuten has the exact same appearance rate as the rest of them’, which is basically useless to me. Same with the adventurer one, but I wasn’t going to pull on that anyway since i don’t care for the two new 5-stars. I can tell that they’re trying to give people a bit more incentive to spend money on this game, but I think it’s only worth it if you’re a super new player who barely has any 5-stars at all. Some people will probably do the adventurer one because they really like the new banner units, I guess, but it’s a horrible deal.
Also on the note of Nobunaga, I’m kinda disappointed that she’s just the Year of the Horse character, lol. I would have liked it way more if she was an unofficial Year of the Cat clan leader, with Ebisu as her pact dragon, but then that would have made me want to pull for her more because I’m weak for anything that I can twist into a Fruits Basket reference, so maybe it’s a good thing that they didn’t go down that route. Either way it feels kinda weird to not have her be about the Year of the Cat when she’s being bundled with the Rat clan leader, and Ebisu is already based on that whole myth anyway. It seems like a vaguely uncomfortable and off-putting message of ‘yeah this game isn’t going to last long enough for us to actually get to the Year of the Horse so we’re giving her out early :)’. If they were gonna do it this way in order to get all of the clan leader characters released within 6-7 years rather than 12, I kinda wish they could have done that from the start so it didn’t come as a surprise now. Oh well.
Anyway, even though I’m not a fan of Nobunaga at all [and even after the event story I still don’t have any interest in her lol], I really like the rest of the new units. I could take or leave Mitsuhide in terms of her being a 5-star light dagger, but the event story actually made me like her a fair bit. Plus, her 3D model helped sell me on her design.
But mostly Chitose is my absolute son boy and I adore him. I get the feeling he’s going to be very . . . polarizing, but I love him. He’s absolutely perfect, and to top it all off he’s exactly the character that the light roster has been waiting for. As soon as he came into my summons being like ‘here comes a slice of cutie pie <3′ it was over for me.
Hanabusa’s also fun, in a surprisingly Danganronpa character writing kinda way. I think his facial expressions really gave me that sorta comparison, since it’s kinda rare for characters in this game to be that cartoon-y. But I also really love him. The fact that purple’s my favourite colour may or may not be making me extremely biased in his favour, though.
Also, Ebisu seems to be a 40% HP shadow dragon, which I think shadow’s been lacking. He’s probably not as good as a MUB NIdhogg/HZD, but I don’t have either of those so he’s nice to have. Even though I use Heinwald as my shadow healer and he prefers mixed dragons.
The new event wyrmprints also all seem pretty good. The Wyrmclan Duo basically seems to be Resounding Rendition but with crit damage instead of crit rate, and I’ll have to see how the math on that one turns out. I think most characters benefit more from crit rate than crit damage, but I’m not sure. A New Year’s Battle seems like a pretty solid print for daggers, and probably other units that can get high combo counts.
And then A Game of Cat and Boar seems like it’s gonna be the best wyrmprint for light buffers like Chitose and maybe Hanabusa. It actually has the highest buff time percentage for a wyrmprint in the game, at 25% compared to the current main ones being 20%, but it’s locked to light units. The 10% shadow res also works nicely with Chitose’s innate focus on defense, to make it easier for him to pass HP checks and whatnot. It’s a potent enough buff time increase that you can pretty easily just run something like the HZD print in his second slot without losing out on much, but outside of HZD he might just use a second buff time print anyway since there’s no real reason to bother buffing his offensive stats.
Anyway, in short, this banner was extremely gracious to me, Chitose is Best Boy, and I’m going to skip everything between now and the next gala in the hopes that we’ll finally get Gala Luca.
On that note, I thought Gala Luca might be a light dagger, but that seems a lot less likely now that Mitsuhide exists. I think he’ll probably be a light blade, or maybe a light spear, instead. I think him being a light blade would be great. We really need more of those [especially since Hanabusa’s stuck with a welfare unit kit], and it’d be great to see Luca get the vindication he deserves by getting a really strong gala alt. So until then I’m just gonna try and keep hoarding my resources until I can pull for him. I think I have a little over 150 summons worth of resources saved up, and I hope that’ll get a lot bigger over the next month.

Dragon Age: Inquisition, day 15.
All these ladders. I have a godawful fear of heights in real life, you know.
Ooh, human dwarven sacrifice and blood all over the place, very cool and good indeed.
...goodness me, there is some sweet gear on offer here. I guess that tends to happen in DLCs.
Crashing is extremely rude, game. Just a reminder.
What even is this boss fight.
Oh god.
Oh shit oh shit oh shit oh shit oh shit
Fuck
AAAAAAAAAA
Whew. Well. Good ol’ indestructible Blackwall. See, this sort of thing is part of why I like my tanky boys. They help with things like surviving ridiculous boss fights, particularly in this game where they can also revive their squishy mage girlfriends entirely too many times because oh Maker those attacks do how much damage? (And get revived once by said squishy mage girlfriend, but these things happen.) Dorian helped briefly but was impossible to keep upright, while Varric hung on for a decent while, bless him.
Valta, you’re being extremely creepy.
It’s just not a Bioware RPG without a Towers of Hanoi puzzle, is it?
Headcanon: For Alix, mutual bathing was...I hesitate to say “a kink”, but it was kind of a kink. Linniva just recognizes that it’s probably the least friction-inducing way to get that man of hers to clean himself as regularly as he ought to.
Auxiliary headcanon: It’s not the first time she’s used “I’ll be there, it’ll be hot ;) ;) ;)” to induce a friend to do something necessary that they were avoiding. Not even close.
...oh, that’s how I get to the other bit of the Western Approach. All right, let’s do this thing. Servis, your days are numbered.
And that’s Servis dealt with and the last of Cassandra and Blackwall’s quests done. Excellent.

Man oh man, Saint Seiros and mah boi Dimitri on the same banner. I was super certain today's reveal would be Freyr so I was ready to skip and wait for Dimitri's next rerun. Right, banner reveal hype died down a little, so I can strategize better now.
Seiros is going to be pretty tanky and with damage reduction and follow up denial in both phases she'll be a pain to take down. Her prf skill is super tunned to AR which meh. Her being a blue dragon is a bit of a letdown for me, I am really not lacking in blue dragons, colorless woud be better for my barracks.
Regardless, I need to course correct. Before I was going to skip the Mythic and go for Young Dimitri and the Fallen rerun. Now tho... I'll probably skip the Fallen. F!Julia would be neat to have, she's a great unit and I don't have that many strong mages but I can get by without her; and F!Ike would be Repel fodder, but now Kris banner is guaranteed to win the revival, if I need more DR I will summon there.
I will still wait until the 29th to summon, there's a chance a FEH Channel with the Anniversary info will come by then and these infos will change how I proceed with these banners. FEH please 🥺

Fire Emblem Heroes Unit Review: Deirdre
"So many of my memories—memories that meant a lot to me... They're gone. I know that someone important to me has vanished into that darkness. I...I feel uneasy. Even now, here, with you. I worry I may never see you again.”
Tumblr media
Available: 5-Star
Neutral Stats: 36/33/28/16/35 (Best IV’s: +Atk, +Spd, or +Res, mainly Spd to take advantage of the Speed Ploy debuffs. -Def since it’s low already)
Default Kit:
Divine Naga (14 MT: Effective against dragons. Foe’s bonuses (from skills like Fortify, Rally, etc.) are nullified during combat.) Locked to Deirdre. Julia’s Naga can be upgraded to Divine Naga.
Assist: Ardent Sacrifice (Heals adjacent ally 10 HP. Unit loses 10 HP, but cannot reach 0 this way.)
B-Slot: Quick Riposte 3 (Unit automatically makes a follow-up attack if attacked at HP greater than/equal to 70%)
C-Slot: Speed Ploy 3 (At the start of turn, all foes in cardinal directions with Res 1 or more lower than unit suffer Speed -5 until the end of foe’s next action.)
Pros:
Fantastic Res
Makes a fantastic magic check
Good attack stat
Divine Naga is an incredible weapon that cancels any buffs from her foes
Great base kit
Needs little investment
More investment makes her scary
Takes advantage of Speed Ploy due to her high Res
The best tiny-hands killer. Period.
Also has two HOT husbands
Cons:
Low defense and HP
Speed is low (though Quick Riposte fixes it)
Ploys require specific positioning
Gets subjected to cruel memory wipe...
"I can't remember...who am I? Who am I?"
Been a while since I’ve done a unit review. So, let’s get back on track with one of Reinhardt’s worst nightmares and wife to Sigurd: Deirdre!
She’s been compared to her daughter, Julia, due to them sharing similar stats and having a similar tome. Julia possess higher HP, Attack, and Defense than her mother, but Deidre has better Speed and Resistance than Julia. However, both of them are fantastic in their own right, though Deirdre comes out on top due to her skills.
Her unique weapon is Divine Naga, which is a fantastic weapon because not only does it kills dragons, it cancels ALL buffs that any unit has. This means a -Blade tome user won’t be able to kill Deirdre with their insane boosts, and a dragon unit who’s Resistance is boosted thanks to Fortify Dragons gets canceled! This tome is Reinhardt’s terrible fear as all the Horse Emblem buffs are gone and Deirdre will have no trouble taking Reinhardt thanks to her high Res.
Her Assist skill is Ardent Sacrifice, which while it’s a good skill, it’s not so good on Deirdre as it clashes with her B-Slot skill: Quick Riposte 3. With her high res and average speed, Deirdre can double mages in the enemy phase no problem, and even if she gets doubled, Deirdre has a high chance of killing the mage during the enemy phase. She also possess a new C-Slot skill: Speed Ploy 3, which foes in any cardinal direction who has lower Resistance than Deirdre (which is a lot) will have their speed lowered by 5. This benefits not only Deirdre due to her average speed, but for other allies to avoid getting doubled or doubling their enemies, so this skill works for any player’s style as the debuffs account for BEFORE the battle.
As for Skill Inheritance, her A-Slot can be Fury 3 for increasing all her stats, but if the damage output is too off putting for you, then other options such as Res +3, Attack +3, and Speed +3 are great budget options for Deirdre. She can also make fantastic use of Distance Defense 3 to increase her already absurd Res stat, and it does stack with the Distance Defense Sacred Seal, but only if you have spare Celicas and recently, Rhajats, in your army. Her B-Slot and C-Slot are perfect, and you don’t need to change them at all. If you do want to, Green Tomebreaker 3 is a decent option or Wings of Mercy 3 for a surprise attack, but Quick Riposte on a strong and magically bulky mage is way too good to pass up. Another option for the C-Slot is Res Ploy 3 for Deirdre to hit her foes much harder, but what ploy skill Deirdre needs is up to the player.
As for her assist, switch it to Reposition or Draw Back as both of them are very handy when handling movement of units, especially in a very cramped map. Her special can be Iceberg or Glacies (if she’s +Res, or -Atk), in order to take advantage of her high Res. And when that hits, oh boy, it’s going to hurt!
However, Deirdre has some things she can’t get rid of. Firstly, she has painfully low Defense, so one good physical attack will end Deirdre for good. Along with her low Defense, she has low HP, so she’ll drop really fast if the player isn’t too careful. Her speed is average, and might get doubled by some units, though Quick Riposte and Speed Ploy 3 does fix the problem for Deirdre, especially when facing other strong mages. Speaking of Ploys, they require specific positioning in order for them to be pulled off successfully, though a smart player can easily pull this with little trouble.
Regardless, Deirdre is one tough mother who, despite losing most of her memories, can dish out a lot of damage, ignoring a lot of the boosts that her foes received, and weaken her enemies for her and her teammates to take out faster. And that’s just- HOT! ...Sorry for the fire joke...

Summoner’s Words of Wisdom: “Listen. You may have lost most of your memories, but that doesn’t make you worthless. You have the power to regain them, the power to protect those you still remember, and if that’s the only way to regain them, by fighting and tanking all the magical hits, then keep on fighting!”

Time to attempt to do an Electric gym with no Ground types in a Nuzlocke! Pray for me :D
All the way from Mauville Gym to Lavaridge! Plus, which team member will die?
Alrighty, here’s the plan. Chickweed takes out the part-Steel types. Snowdrop and Daisy go for the pure Electrics. Draining Kiss may not be SE, but it’s also not resisted, and if she gets hit by Electric moves, up goes her sp.atk! Aggie, Milkweed, and Sequoia stay the fuck away :D (Especially the two WATER/FLYING types, yeesh.)
Inwards! Onwards!
Guitarist Kirk leads with Magnemite, level 16. Time for my level 25 Fire/Fighting type, haha. Next is Electrike, level 16. Snowdrop’s Bite is a OHKO! Bless being overlevelled.
Upstairs we go!
Youngster Ben has a single Electrike, level 17. Snowdrop (level 23) again OHKOs it. Nice.
Battle Girl Vivian has... a Meditite, oddly enough? Level 19. Normally I’d use Aggie, but this is an ELECTRIC gym, so gonna get Daisy in in case it does have an Electric - yup, Thunder Punch XD Ooh, that Draining Kiss will be extra painful :D Confusion gets in a bit of damage, another Draining Kiss heals most of it!
Guitarist Shawn leads with Voltorb, level 15. I am... not actually sure how Snowdrop bit it, but it’s a OHKO nonetheless XD Now another Voltorb, level 17. And another OHKO!
Holy shit yes Milkweed you can learn Mega Drain.
Time for Wattson!! Leads with Magnemite, level level 19. Bringing in Chickweed! He takes a Thunder Wave, annoying. Ooooh, Volt Switch, you pain in the arse. Voltorb next. It uses Charge, and Chickweed gets in a Double Kick that takes it out! Nice job! Magnemite back in, ANOTHER Volt Switch, yeah yeah yeah. Now it’s the Magneton, level 21 - right into the Flame Charge ;D Down to the reds, I assume Wattson will now heal up so I’ll do the same! Going for health, those Volt Switches do a fair bit of damage. Chickweed dodges Supersonic, but doesn’t get the Flame Charge out. Oof, this Supersonic hit, but so does Flame Charge! Back down to the reds for Magneton! Another Volt Switch I s2g... and Chickweed hits himself XD;; You know what dude let’s switch Daisy in briefly, haha. She tanks a few Tackles while I see to Chickweed, send him back in in fine form, and Magnemite is down to... 1 HP, Sturdy you dick. Another Thunder Wave then Volt Switch, really? Well that’s okay, Flame Charge just takes out Magneton instead XD Back to Magnemite, and it’s dooown!
That was moderately irritating, but still, done! :D
Also I now have a Gyarados.
Now that I have Rock Smash, to the north! To the desert! Prayer circle for a Trapinch, please please pleeeease...
Whoops, was hoping to avoid the trainers, haha. Picknicker Irene leads with a Plusle, level 16. This would be a lot easier with a Ground-type XD Snowdrop chomps on it. Next is Illumise, this is Chickweed’s! Level 18. Flame Charge eviscerates it.
Dangit! I can’t even get into the earliest parts ;_; Ugh fine into route 112 for plot - hey, Brendan! Free heal and Strength HM, though!
And the route catch is... a Numel XD Okay why not, haha. She shall be named Lithops.
Now for trainers! Camper Larry leads with a level 16 Taillow. Snowdrop is leading, Ice Fang does it. Next is - yikes, Zubat. Daisy can have this one! It’s level 18, Electro Ball takes it out.
Picknicker Carol has a level 19 Gulpin. Snowdrop Bites it, it uses Sludge, and she finishes it off with another Bite.
Hiker Trent leads with a Geodude, level 17. Since both my Water types are also part Flying, let’s stick with Snowdrop’s Ice Fang, haha. Another Geodude! Also level 17. Sturdy you dick. And finally, hold on to your asses, another level 17 Geodude! This time without Sturdy.
Hiker Brice leads with Numel, level 18. Sequoia still doesn’t have any Water moves, so this is Aggie’s! Next is Machop, level 18. Still Aggie’s! ...So I hit Water Pulse instead by accident, but it confused the Machop, and it... punched itself unconscious. That works XD
And now Aggie evolves!! :D
Looks like the Aquas are blocking the cable car? Cave it is, then! Fiery Path, so I can get a new friend! UGH IT’S A GRIMER. Okay, a new box-only Pokemon :| Oh whoops I OHKOed it. What a pity. What a shame.
Back in route 112! And a battle against Street Thug Jaylin, who has a Mightyena! Level 21. Mine’s 25, haha. Anyway, this is Chickweed’s.
And back to route 111? Well, okay! Ace Trainer Wilton leads with Electrike, level 20. Let’s try Daisy! Hmm, Draining Kiss doesn’t do THAT much, but it does at least keep healing the damage from its Quick Attack. Third time’s the charm! Next is BAGON <3 Level 20. Snowdrop’s Ice Fang is a OHKO. Last up is Makuhita, time for Aggie! Level 20. Takes two hits, but it’s down!
HEY IT’S AARUNE. Honestly, I don’t think I’ll do the whole Secret Base thing this time around.
Ayyy rest stop. Alrighty time to pick fights with trainers XD
Backpacker Deon has a Linoone, level 21. You know, Milkweed hasn’t done much in a while? Mud Sport, okay, no problem there XD Odor Sleuth, ditto. Air Cutter gets it down to half, that works. Headbutt does a bit of damage, Air Cutter finishes it off. Nice :)
Oh jeez a Fairy Tale Girl. Fairy Tale Girl Cece has a... Spoink? That’s not a Fairy-type! Snowdrop it is, then, and assume she can tank any Fairy move. ...Or Confuse Ray, you pest. Bite fail XD;; Odor Sleuth does nothing, next Bite goes through! Next up is Mawile. Hooboy, this’ll be risky! Level 19, Chickweed is level 28, hopefully Flame Charge is a OHKO... not quite, oof. Vice Grip, that’s okay!! Next Flame Charge does it!
Ace Trainer Brooke leads with Wingull, level 20. You still have a Wingull? I have a Pelipper! This one is Daisy’s, haha. Next is Roselia, over to Chickweed! God they’re so cute <3 Last is Numel, and that’s Aggie’s!
On to route 113 - hey Brendan. Nearly to town, just a few more trainers! Going to actively avoid the grass until I get the ash bag, actually.
Youngster Neal has a Trapinch! I want one ._. Aggie, uh, OHKOs it. Next is Electrike, Snowdrop can have this one!
Oops. No avoiding this grass XD Ninja Boy Lao! He leads with... Koffing, ew. Oi, no poisoning my birb! Another Koffing next. Okay, Aggie’s in trouble so we’ll switch him out for... let’s try Chickweed. Hey, don’t poison my other birb! >:( ANOTHER Koffing? Okay, Daisy this time! OHKO! No poison for her!
Parasol Lady Madeline has a Numel, level 22. Aggie destroys it. Nice straight-forward one XD
Aww yes Double Team TM. I can use this for maximum annoyance 8D
Youngster Dillon has an Aron! Level 21. Water Pulse from Aggie takes it out nicely. And Sequoia learned Dragon Rage nice.
SNEAKING FOR THE WIN. SKARMORY. He’s level 18 and will be named Edelweiss!
Ninja Boy Lung leads with Nincada, level 18. My, um, my 11-levels-higher Fire type destroys it. Next is Ninjask, level 20. It uses Agility, but Flame Charge - once it hits lmfao - takes it out pretty quick!
Into Fallarbor, and let’s have a look at Edelweiss!
Edelweiss the Skarmory | level 18 | male | Sturdy | Gentle, very finicky | Assurance, Metal Claw, Air Cutter, Fury Attack | found route 113
Okay, let’s see. I’ve been hella debating what to do between Aggie and Sequoia, since having both is a little redundant. Aggie makes use of both Fly and Surf, but Sequoia is the one who learns Dive, which is essential. Sequoia also has a better moveset overall (or, at least, will). With Edelweiss, I can use Fly on him, plus I’ll have a Fairy counter with STAB Steel moves, AND a Rock counter, as well as another Ice counter.
Sequoia doesn’t have any Water moves - yet. On the plus side, Surf is coming up at Petalburg Gym. So I think I’m going to keep using Aggie until I hit Lavaridge Gym and Mt Chimney, switch Edelweiss in so he doesn’t get left behind, level-wise, and switch out... Milkweed, who hasn’t really done much at this point. Then, once I finish Petalburg Gym, I’ll let Aggie retire!
Brendan’s here, and so is A Mess? :o
Quick stock-up for healing stuff - QUICK BALLS. GIMME :D
Alrighty, on to route 114! Ayyy Roar TM. Some Swablu just flew overhead I WANT ONE.
Teammates Tyra and Ivy send out Roselia and Azumarill. I love both of those ;_; Hoooo Azumarill is tanky. Think I’ll bring Daisy in, haha. Meanwhile Edel’s Sky Drop murders the Roselia, haha. Electro Ball gets the Azumarill!
Poke Maniac Steve has an Aron, level 23. Water Pulse gets it down to 1 HP, it roars and brings in Edel, it protects and then Edel finishes it!
Probably cheating to use the radar to try and find a Pokemon you want in a Nuzlocke lmfao. Okay fuck it I mostly wanted an Altaria because flying and I have Edel now, let’s just. Dive in XD And it is... Seviper, ew XD;; Off to the box, Rauvolfia!
Aaaand PLOT.
Really, Camper Shane? Really? He leads with Minun, level 20, Snowdrop can take this one. Next is Volbeat, level 20. Chickweed cooks it.
Kindler Bernie - seriously I’m trying to stop a kidnapping here - leads with Slugma, level 20. Aggie’s turn! Next is Wingull, level 22. Daisy takes this one!
Ahhhhh. Hiker Lucas leads with Geodude, level 22. How come Brendan didn’t get held up by these guys? Snowdrop takes it. Next is another Geodude, level 20. Snowdrop tanks a Magnitude and takes it out.
Okay I s2g... Hiker Lenny has a single Machop, level 23, Edel’s still underlevelled so Aggie can take this one.
OKAY. FINALLY. METEOR FALLS. God this place is so pretty.
SHELLY <3 Brendan, ‘jerks’ is a bit mild, haha. He and Atsuko look so DETERMINED. Leading with Mightyena and Grimer, I have Sequoia leading and Brendan has Shroomish. Chickweed, I think, will do better here! Oof, Swaggered, and Shroomish is now poisoned. Double Kick takes out Mightyena, though! Yeah, Shroomishh is dead XD Brendan sends out Marshtomp, Shelly sends out Carvanha. This is Daisy’s! ...Oh never mind Marshtomp killed it XD Dangit, Mud Shot got disabled, WE REALLY COULD HAVE USED THAT ON GRIMER, BRENDAN... Well, let’s try Electro Ball - hey, and it’s down!
Hey, it’s Maxie! Wow Maxie chill a bit. Okay, guess it’s off to Mount Chimney, huh? And a Smack Down TM! Hell, you know what? I will take that free trip to Mauville! A heal up, and then to Mount Chimney! Cable car is free this time!
Oh hey, an Aqua grunt that’s not already facing a Magma XD Leads with Poochyena, level 22. I’ve already put Daisy at the front, she can Draining Kiss it! Ew, Grimer next. Uh, Chickweed. Ayyy OHKO!
SHELLY <3 Big mood tbh. She leads with Grimer, level 24. Flame Charge only does like half, dang. Oof, a Ground move. Chickweed tanks it, Flame Charge finishes it! Next is Carvanha, level 24. Electro Ball OHKO!
HI ARCHIE YOU’RE SO COOL. FIGHT ME. Mightyena first, level 25. Daisy gives him a smooch. Ooh, only half damage, huh. Swagger, annoying. Another Draining Kiss does it! Sharpedo! Level 27. ...Oh fuck Daisy is fucking dead. Swagger damage then Assurance. Heck. Um. Dark/Water, I have a Fighting/Fire type that would be quite a bit slower than a fully-evolved Sharpedo. Fighting, Bug, Grass, Electric, Fairy. I now have none of those lmfao. I am going to try... Aggie. Wing Attack at least hits for neutral damage. Another Swagger, Wing Attack into reds, cannot risk Confusion damage so a quick switch to Edel, he copes with Assurance, another Swagger, hits himself dammit, okay back to Aggie, another Assurance then Screech, nothing, Wing Attack finishes it! Next is Golbat, switch to Snowdrop, take it out with Ice Fang - no, into the reds. Confuse Ray I AM SICK OF CONFUSION. But she gets another Ice Fang in and it’s OVER.
RIP, Daisy.
Got the meteorite, at least! But like... dang XD;;
Welp, on to Jagged Pass and then Lavaridge, haha. Oh, didn’t end up catching any there. Okay XD So I can still catch someone at Jagged Pass later!
Into town, RIP Daisy, and I’ll bring back... Milkweed, for now. Will leave it at that for now!

Chickweed the Combusken | level 32 | male | Blaze | Serious, takes plenty of siestas | Flame Charge, Peck, Double Kick, Cut | starter

I asked for questions but I will proceed to run my mouth about my choices regarding these teams under the cut anyway
First off: Mags. Mags has a rather simple theme revolving around Steel- and Electric-type Pokemon. Magnezone is an obvious choice, because it is quite literally a magnet. In the past I also gave him Metagross, but since then I have decided it was better suited to a more powerful Robot Master. Don’t get me wrong, Magnet is a powerhouse, but something didn’t feel right about it despite the electromagnetism associated with Beldum’s evolutionary line. I gave him Steelix and Ferrothorn because I imagine that he’d be comfortable with tanky setters who can also pack considerable punches. This is also the reasoning behind my choice of Corviknight, in addition to it matching his general disposition. Competitively, Luxray is kind of ass not going to lie LMAO, but my choice was due to its special X-ray vision. Thanks to new Pokedex information, we know that this ability requires a lot of electricity to use, and so Luxray needs to rest for long periods of time to recover. I thought this was pretty similar to how I decided to approach Magnet’s pole reversal. I also just think Luxray’s neat. c: Now, Electrode was chosen for one rather specific reason: Explosion/Self Destruct. It’s a chaotic ball of destruction and blackout potential that I found similar to Magnet’s occasionally unpredictable core, and for this reason I thought it suitable for him. I like that it’s the only Pokemon in his party that stands out from the general trend of being bulky and slow.
Blues: Oh boy this was fun to think about. I thought it fitting to give Blues Metagross, a pseudolegendary, especially since Blues - my interpretation, at least - is quite comfortably in command on the network, and very capable of engaging in various situations both physically and digitally. I felt like that matched Metagross’ powerful neural network well. Gallade is honestly a choice I was a little iffy about at first, but I like thinking about it in terms of being a defender for Blues when he’s vulnerable. It also carries a powerful, self-confident energy I strongly associate with Blues. While he’s admittedly not nearly as courteous as a Gallade, I nevertheless think that noble air is a good fit. Aegislash!! The first of THREE Ghost-types on Blues’ team. Obviously, Aegislash is a nod to Blues’ shield with its signature move, King’s Shield. I also like the dichotomy between it draining the lifeforce of whoever wields it and it being the symbol of kings. It kind of plays hand in hand with Blues’ status as the Eldest and his dying core. Shedinja is both a nod to Shadow and a bit of a meme bc it’s untouchable until it get hits with a supereffective. Then it’s immediately KO’d with its 1 HP asdfdhgfjhgk. A nod to him taking double damage in MMPU, MM9, and MM10. Chandelure is a very elegant and classy Pokemon that fits Blues’ aesthetic while also alluding to his core, due to the fact that it burns the lifeforce of those around it as fuel. I think that’s very spicy. Finally, Absol, the ‘bringer of doom.’ This is a direct nod to Blues always appearing to warn Rock of danger, give him advice, and training him to be able to combat said danger.
Quick Man’s entire team was honestly built around speed and high crit-ratio moves LMAO. I don’t have much to say on that aside from the frequent “slashing” moves that these Pokemon can learn (Night Slash, Slash, Air Cutter) are a nod to his boomerang sword. Noivern in particular is a bit special, though. While I wouldn’t consider Noivern his main partner, Noivern is a nod to the Mecha Dragon, which Quick commonly teams up with in Ariga!canon. In my interpretation, Quick has Mastered the Mecha Dragon, so this just felt like a good bit to add in. c:
Moon: Moon’s party revolves around space and serenity. Beheeyem, Clefairy, and Lunatone are direct space references, whereas Froslass, Altaria, and Gardevoir/Alolan Ninetales are more for the graceful aesthetic. The guardian/deity vibe of Gardevoir and Alolan Ninetales respectively remind me of Moon’s origins with the reverence revolving around eastern dragons and the legends of Chang’e. Froslass has that mournful beauty that just hits so hard for Moon in various AUs, specifically with Froslass’ presumed origins. Altaria, on the other hand, is a very loving and affectionate Pokemon, which matches Moon’s personality quite well.
Ya that’s it sorry for the essay adsgfdhgfjhg
This isn’t a definitive AU yet, but if I were to consider Pokemon teams for my muses (bringing Moon from @dsn-001 here to keep it concise), this is what I’d imagine they have:
Tumblr media
Magnezone Steelix Ferrothorn Corviknight Electrode Luxray
Tumblr media
Metagross Gallade Aegislash Shedinja Chandelure Absol
Tumblr media
Weavile Scizor Bisharp Crobat Noivern Talonflame
Tumblr media
Froslass Clefable Altaria Lunatone Beheeyem  Alolan Ninetales/Gardevoir
