the difference between tian jiarui + yanan and their FoF characters gives me stitches.
FoF: intense, brooding, killer machines
Irl: high pitched screaming, rolling on the ground, all around baby girl energy
#fangs of fortune#I have watched kpop variety for years#but none scream quite like yanan#except for DK#yanan screams like a fucking speeding car#the low to high as it passes u by

hi candice i’m a relatively new universe and i was wondering if you would be willing to explain your view on pentagon’s group dynamic as in which members are the most extroverted and which members do you think support the others the most behind the scenes etc basically who acts as who despite their age/position in the group/outward personality or appearance i’m trying to get to know the members’ personalities better and thought who better to turn to than the infamous universe chiveburger
alright, if it’s not sickly obvious pentagon is a pretty shy group. hui has mentioned that even though some members are more talkative and extroverted than others, when they all group together the general feeling that comes from pentagon is that they’re shy. when they’re amongst other people at least, but when they’re together they won’t ever shut up or stay quiet. the following are how I’ve viewed the members after watching them, (this shit is going to be so long)
jinho; one of the most reliable, emotionally available and mature members of the group. he is the oldest, and often times he acts exactly that way. a lot of members look up to him and consider him the pillar of the group. someone who has grown to express his feelings more openly, but is rarely the first one to show them. he has his childish moments too but, easily one of the most dependable, mentally strong and grounded members in pentagon. eats everyone’s food and tears up when he sees food he likes so kino says he likes watching him eat.
hui; the leader of pentagon and has all the qualifications and mindset to be, but he’s also one of the most playful, and quick to cry members. If he’s happy, or his condition is good he’ll turn crazy. he’ll scream, he’ll try to climb the walls like spider man, he’ll jump off a balcony with an umbrella. hui’s infamous for all his baby noises and rowdiness even though members say he’s not like that normally. despite that, he’s one of the most integral members of the group and works day and night writing, composing and remixing songs for pentagon. he’ll stay in his studio all day, sleep crooked on the tiny sofa or cancel plans just to create music. he protects and mentions his members very often, never once calling them or being the leader a burden. says none of his members are disobedient and acknowledges that he’s changed into a much more mellow person because of them. always professional and respectful, and he’ll sit there quietly if he’s on a show without the members. If he has to speak about them seriously, he will cry immediately. the backbone of pentagon.
hongseok; probably one of the more talkative and extroverted members of pentagon. evil. he’s had a few scandals under his belt that can give off negative connotations but in the 3.5 years he’s been with pentagon he has continued to be careful with his words and actions. he expended a lot of effort to fit into pentagon when they first started training together, and would insert himself in all their activities because he joined when the group was already set. he’s dramatic and competitive, but he’s been working hard for the team. I think because of his past he’s happy to have fans who still love him, and members who care for him. he likes to be included and if members don’t mention his name he’ll get mad. he may have changed since his trainee days, but he’s still a freak
shinwon: easily one of the most caring and warm people in pentagon. even when he pranks the members consistently he’s always the one who monitors their activities, even if he’s not in it. he'll physically go to their movie premieres, musicals, concerts, promotional activities, and everything in between just to support them. he knows all of hui, kino and jinho’s songs whether they’ve been released or not. he streams all their music, and joins in all their vlives because he’s always watching them. when jinho and hui were hosts on idol radio he watched every single one and left comments for them every time. he’s not quick to anger, and rarely gets mad. hui has mentioned that shinwon is the nicest person he has ever met, and he can’t believe someone like him exists. he’s always joyful, compassionate and the first one to run to the members if they need help. one of the most overlooked members in the group for many many reasons.
yeoone: deathly unfunny, and the members remind him of it every single waking moment. however, he is one of the kindest, consistently cheerful, and tender people in pentagon. even though he knows he’s not funny, the reason why he cracks bad jokes and does cringe shit is to get the members to laugh. he loves making them happy and shinwon has mentioned that he sees the wholesomeness and sincerity in him when yeoone does that. he doesn’t seem like it, but he’s actually quite extroverted. he’ll go out of his way to talk to people that are outside of pentagon when the rest of the members huddle in a corner. he takes care of his younger members well, and contributes a lot to the small elements of their singing and dancing. idea bank of pentagon.
yanan; I’ll be honest it’s always been a bit hard for me to write in depth about yanan because I only became a universe during naughty boy. since then I’ve only ever seen him in one comeback. however, it’s obvious to me that the members all adore him. they all love him, shower him with compliments, wooseok calls him his soulmate, and they want him to come back. from the short period where I’ve watched him he’s quite reserved. he doesn’t speak as often as other members especially when all 9 of them are together. however, he says and does a lot of weird shit if he’s alone or with 2-3 members at a time. he’s gotten mad at wooseok for putting ketchup on a corndog wrong. during his current hiatus, he’s always updated universe on how he’s doing. he even uploaded a group photo a couple weeks ago so he’s been the beacon of light for universe who wish to see ot9 soon. he’ll write happy birthday to his members, like their content on weibo and has been reassurance to a lot of fans.
yuto; I have a whole blog dedicated just to yuto so I think that in itself is evidence enough that he’s one of the most amazing people not even just in pentagon, but in this galaxy. flexible and easygoing. nobody in pentagon has ever listed out any of his flaws or said negative comments about him because he’s never said or done anything of the sort. he loves all his members, and often plays around with them even if he doesn’t understand just so they’ll be happy. he considers his teammates as his family. he takes care of his older members a lot, even though he’s one of the youngest. calls everyone cute, never fails to show them affection and allows them to say or really do anything to him without complaining. all his members call him soft and sweet, even if yuto doesn’t think so. he worries for his members if they’re injured or sick, even saying that his happiest most anticipated moment during their release of humph! was that kino could finally join them in promotions again. he loves and cares deeply for his members, and he’s always shown it through his actions
kino; sensitiveness and empathetic. one of the most loved members of pentagon easy. some of the words he says embody sunlight and he’s positive and sincere like nobody else. kino may be steadfast in his decisions but he would never do anything to hurt pentagon. he wishes for all of them to be happy, and he believes that they’ll be able to continue as a group for a long time. he prays for them before every performance and acts tough even when he’s the youngest. shinwon even says that he purposely carries a lot of weight for the team and he wishes he wouldn’t, hoping he’d stay as a kid forever. he’ll become upset if things don’t go as planned, but his anger and sensitivity stems from wanting to be the perfect version of himself. even though members tease him all the time and purposely annoy him he has always said he loves his members. he knows and often feels that they all love him back an incredible amount.
wooseok; alike kino, a lot of the older members tease him and play with him but he likes being with them and acts like a child around them. he even prides himself on being penjelbe (pentagon’s most baby). he gets sulky really often, but he’ll forget about it the next day. even if he looks intimidating he’s anything but, he doesn’t mind when the oldest members climb him like a tree or bother him during his v lives or puts him in a choke hold. his onstage presence is completely different than who he is off stage and alike the entire maknae line he’s very emotional, often crying if he sees the other members cry. personable, sentimental and optimistic, always saying that if someone doesn’t like they’re music then he’ll work harder to create better songs. so so cute you won’t believe it. you can literally tell by the way members treat him and the way he responds that he’s their baby

all the time in the world (yanan fluff)
Genre | Soulmates AU
Pairing | Yanan x Reader
Words | 3.5k
Summary | Ever since you were little, you’d heard about soulmates. You’d been told that there was one person, just a single soul out of the seven billion on the planet, that was meant to join with yours. But how long would it take for you to Connect?
Warnings | None. Just cute stuff. 😊
Note | Wrote this for a request! Also sorry this is not quite up to my usual standards, I blew through it kind of fast lol.
You would never forget the day it happened.
You were tucked away in the library, hunched over the table that sat next to the big window, trying desperately to complete your math homework. But your best friend, Jamie, wouldn’t stop laughing to herself.
“What’s so funny?” You tried not to sound irritated, but her giggles made it really hard for you to focus.
“Sorry,” she spoke quietly, trying to hide her smile. She pointed to her temple, indicating that she was Connecting with her soulmate. “Marcus is being inappropriate.”
“Could you ask him to leave you alone so we can study?”
“Yeah, of course.” She closed her eyes for a second as she concentrated on her telepathic message, and then she nodded. “Done. I told him I’d talk more later.”
“Thank you.” You returned to your math problem, trying not to make it obvious how much you’re struggling with algebra.
“Have you heard anything from your soulmate yet?” Jamie pried. “Do you still try to Connect with them?”
Disheartened, you frown. “Of course I do, but nothing yet. I don’t know if it’ll ever happen.” You send out messages every morning and every night, but you still haven’t managed to Connect.
No one really knows how it works, only that one day the Connection is formed between you and your soulmate, and you’re able to communicate telepathically for the rest of your lives together. Most people start to connect around the time they hit puberty, but on rare occasions the Connection might not happen until you’re both in your thirties or forties.
After your sixteenth birthday a few months ago, you started to think you might be one of those rare cases. You absolutely hated the thought of having to wait that long to find your soulmate, but you didn’t really get a say in the matter. You just had to stay patient.
You wanted to start dating, but everyone around you was already madly in love with their soulmate, which made it impossible to date casually. People thought dating was a waste of time, anyway, since you’d really just be killing time until your soulmate came around.
“Of course it’ll happen. It always does.” Jamie sounded so confident as she comforted you. “Just stay positive.”
With a curt nod, you tried to return to your homework. But now that she’s got you thinking about soulmates...
Are you any good at algebra? You try to Connect. If you are, I could really use your help.
And then you heard it. For the first time in your life, you heard a voice respond:
你在哪?
You completely froze up when you heard him. It was the most beautiful, melancholy voice you had ever heard. What did he just say? What language was that? Everyone always remembers their soulmate’s first words, but how could you ever remember the foreign sounds you just heard?
“Oh my God…” You couldn’t believe it. “Oh my God I just- he just…”
“What?” Jamie looked up from her homework, wide-eyed. “What just happened?”
“I heard him!” You tried to keep your voice down, but that proved to be difficult when you were so full of such raw adrenaline. “There was a voice! He talked to me!”
“Oh my God, _____! What did he say?” Jamie completely lit up, just as ecstatic as you at the good news.
And then your heart sank. “I have no idea. It wasn’t English.”
“Oh,” she breathed, perplexed. “Well that’s… uncommon, but not unheard of. Do you know what it was? What did it sound like?”
“I don’t know… it might have been an Asian language? I’m not really sure. He sounded… sweet. He has a gentle voice.” You smiled just thinking about it. You needed to hear it again.
Hello? You feebly tried to respond. Can you hear me?
A few moments passed, and you were greeted with nothing but silence in return.
“I don’t think he can hear me. I think it was a fluke,” you confess.
“That’s okay! This is still great news!”
She was right. Your smile returned. “It is. It’s fantastic news!”
***
You started hearing from your soulmate multiple times a day. Most of the time it would be just a short phrase, but sometimes the sound of his voice could go on for minutes at a time. You wondered if he was venting to you, and you wished that you could be there for him. You came to love every message you received, even when it interfered with your school work.
Every time you heard him, you tried to respond. Sometimes it felt like you were having a conversation, but more often than not it was obvious that your Connection was one-sided. One-sided Connections were the most common way that Connections started, so you weren’t concerned about that part of it. Sometimes it could be months or years before your Connection fully formed, and that’s what bothered you most.
After taking some time to research Asian languages, you eventually decided that your soulmate must be communicating in Mandarin. Not exactly the easiest language for you to learn, unfortunately, but you’d gladly take on the challenge for your him. You didn’t even hesitate in deciding to learn the language.
Your parents were more than happy to enroll you in an online Mandarin language class, and you studied harder than you ever had in your life to learn your soulmate’s way of speaking. And little by little, you’re able to understand fragments of his messages.
...waiting patiently.
Today… got worse. …better soon.
Where are you?
When it was time to prepare for university, you easily decided to major in Mandarin with the goal of becoming a translator. Learning the language had become your whole life, and you found genuine joy in it.
Fragments became sentences, and you’d lay awake at night just listening to his messages. He obviously had no idea that you lived in a different time zone, but you didn’t mind the late-night broadcasts.
Sometimes they were sweet…
I thought about you a lot today. I wonder if you can hear me. I want so badly to talk to you, but I’ll be patient. I wonder what you’re like, what makes you happy, what passions and interests you have. Recently I’ve been training to sing well. Maybe one day we’ll meet and I can sing for you.
Sometimes they were heartbreaking…
I miss my family. I knew that moving away would be hard, but I’m too busy to ever visit and all I want is to see my parents. I love them so much. I hope this message isn’t a burden for you.
And every night you tried to respond. You tried to tell him that you thought about him too, that you hoped he was doing alright. But he never seemed to hear.
Although you’d come to love the sound of his voice and every single message he sent, you couldn’t help but be frustrated by the lack of personal information he shared. He’d been communicating with you for years, but hadn’t so much as hinted at his name. You asked him for it constantly, even though he couldn’t hear you, and you hoped that one day he would tell you.
***
One morning, you were startled awake by his incredibly ecstatic voice. You couldn’t remember ever being forcefully woken up by him, but his voice was so loud, like he was shouting in your ear.
We did it! We debuted! I just performed my first stage with my members and I am so proud of how far we’ve come! And it was so much fun. I can’t believe we finally made it! Even though we just started, we already have fans. I’m so happy and I just want to perform again!
It was as if the energy he gained from performing had transferred to you, and you suddenly felt wide awake. You jumped out of bed and tore into your roommate’s bedroom, excitedly shouting at her in Mandarin.
“Mingzhu! He’s a singer! That’s what he does! He’s a professional singer!”
Mingzhu screamed in fear at your loud entrance. “_____, I was sleeping! What the hell?”
You fell onto her bed. “This is great news! We can finally figure out who my soulmate is!”
You had met Mingzhu through your university’s Chinese Language and Culture Club, which you joined to help deepen your understanding of Mandarin. Mingzhu grew up in China and fluently spoke Mandarin, and it was hugely helpful to have someone she could practice speaking with. Plus, the two of you had a lot in common and you genuinely enjoyed her friendship.
She was still very connected to her Chinese roots and remained in tune with Asian pop culture. Because of that, you knew she’d be able to help you track down your soulmate, now that you had learned something important about him.
“I’m going to start doing some research to see who just debuted today. Can you help?” You held her hand tightly, hoping to all that is holy that she might agree.
With a sleepy roll of her eyes, she nodded. “Fine. Get me my laptop.”
***
It didn’t take long. You definitely started off on the wrong path by researching Chinese debuts - you didn’t realize that when he talked about moving away from his family, he meant that he moved out of the country. But with Mingzhu’s help, you finally found his group.
They were a ten person Korean boy group named Pentagon. And he was the only Chinese member, Yanan.
And he. Was. Beautiful.
The moment you saw his photo, your heart was overcome with love. He looked just as sweet as he always sounded in your head, with his dark hair, warm eyes, small nose, and gentle smile.
You found their debut performance online and you lost count of how many times you watched it. You were disappointed by Yanan’s lack of screentime, but whenever your gaze latched onto him, your smile could not be contained.
How could you have gotten so lucky?
Of course, there was just a small shred of doubt that it could really be him. It was kind of a guess, after all. But too much of Yanan’s story lined up with what your soulmate has told you, and it just felt so right when you looked at him.
You spent the whole day watching any video content of him you could find, drowning yourself in the reality show that led to Pentagon’s debut. Of course, everything was in Korean instead of Mandarin, and you weren’t always able to find English subtitles, but it didn’t matter. You were in love.
At least, you were as in love as you could be with someone that you’ve never actually met. With someone who still doesn’t know you exist.
Well… there’s only one way to change that.
***
You took your seat in the middle of the crowd, anxious for Pentagon to come on stage for their Runaway comeback recording for Show Champion. It had been over a year since you discovered your soulmate’s identity, and in that time you managed to finish your schooling and save up enough money to fly to Korea. So there you were, in a completely new country, surrounded by people speaking a language that you barely understood, entirely unsure of how you’d get Yanan to notice you… You had no plan, but at the very least you were there. That’s the most you could do, since your Connection still hadn’t formed.
Maybe you could hang around Cube Entertainment’s building to see if you crossed paths? Or maybe you could find a way to sneak backstage?
No, all of those options would make you seem like a total creep, and that’s not the impression you want to make on your soulmate.
The more you thought about it, the more impossible it seemed that you could ever get to him without your Connection.
Yanan, I’m here. You tried desperately to Connect. Yanan, please hear me. Please. I’m here.
There was no response.
Maybe it was dumb of you to come the whole way to Korea before your Connection was complete.
But no matter - all of your worries get wiped away as soon as the boys step on stage.
Suddenly he’s there. He’s right there in front of you. Yanan, your pretty blonde boy, was right there, wearing his hoodie and ripped jeans and looking like a total boyfriend.
Your whole body got hot from head to toe, your fingertips started tingling, and you had the distinct feeling of completely losing your breath. In that moment, you didn’t know if you were feeling something magical because of your Connection or if you were just having a panic attack because everything was suddenly so real.
And then Yanan shook his hand at his side, as if he felt something too.
Yanan, I’m here! You tried again.
No reaction.
The music started. The boys performed. Yanan still didn’t get enough lines, but the ones he got were the most perfect lines in the whole song. His voice was beautiful as ever and he killed the choreography. As the song ended, you were on the verge of tears because of how overwhelmingly happy you felt.
You knew he wouldn’t hear you, but you just had to tell him. Yanan, you did amazingly! You danced so well and you sang beautifully. I am so proud of you and I LOVE YOU! Yanan, I love you!
All of the sudden, Yanan broke out of his ending pose, his calm, confident expression turning into one of total shock.
And then he responded.
Soulmate? Are you there?
You couldn’t control the loud gasp that left your lungs. You can hear me? Yanan, I’m here! I’m in the audience, I’m here!
Yanan looked out over the crowd as if he could find you in the sea of people. Before he could spot you, they were ushered off stage and he was gone, but his voice remained inside your head. I’ll find you. Don’t leave. Please, don’t leave. I need to see you.
You responded. I won’t leave, Yanan. I’m here. Tell me where to find you.
I’ll get my manager to help. I can’t believe this! He sounded so excited. How did you know it was me? How long have you known?
I’ve known you for years, Yanan. You’ve been with me, talking to me for years without even knowing it.
He was quiet for a while, but you stayed patient. You had waited for this long, you can wait another few minutes. When he Connected again, he asked for your name and row number and said that a staff member would come to get you.
It was so unreal to think that it was actually happening. You were really Connected, and you were about to meet the man you’ve grown to love since you first heard his voice six years ago.
Just as he promised, a staff member came to collect you and bring you back to the waiting room. It was no secret that idols had soulmates too, and more often than not their soulmates were just regular people. Most of Pentagon had already publicly Connected, with only Yanan and Wooseok still waiting for their Connections to happen. You knew the fact that Yanan finally Connected would be reason for the rest of the group to celebrate, and you’d be more than welcome to come see all of them.
You were brought back to a small room that was far too full of people. The members were scattered throughout, carrying on while the makeup artists blotted their foreheads and noses.
The staff member that ushered you in pointed off to the left and said something in Korean that you didn’t quite understand, but you didn’t need to know her words. You followed her gesture and your gaze fell on your tall blonde soulmate, who had been watching you from the moment you entered the room.
“Yanan,” you breathed.
Your body grew warm and your fingers tingled again. He was so far away, and yet he was the closest he’d ever been. Your whole body was electric in his presence and you knew he felt the same way.
Is it you? His voice sounded in your head, his eyes widening as they fixated on you.
It’s me. Why were you frozen in place? Why couldn’t you seem to move when every cell in your body ached to touch him?
Yanan broke out of the spell first, a sudden smile coming to his lips as he approached you, laughing. And then he spoke to you out loud for the very first time. “I thought you’d be Chinese. Your Mandarin is very impressive.”
“Thank you.” You felt lightheaded as he reached a hand out for you, and you intertwined your fingers with his, the heat of your Connection flashing up your arm as you finally touched. “I learned it just for you.”
“Really?”
“Of course. All of the sudden I had this Chinese kid talking in my head. I had to figure out what he was saying.” You laughed, and Yanan’s sweet laughter mingled with yours.
With his free hand, he touched your hair, your cheek bones, your jaw, your shoulder. Discovering you and cherishing you. Ingraining the image of his soulmate into the depths of his mind.
“You said you loved me. Is that true?” Yanan’s thumb swept across your cheek, his eyes searching your face.
“I love you with all of my heart, Yanan. I’ve loved you for years.” It was way too easy for you to confess. Being with him just felt so right. You had nothing to hide. “But don’t worry, I don’t expect you to love me right away. We’re soulmates, but love still takes time.”
By that point, the others in the room had started to notice what was going on, and they all stood in giddy anticipation. Kino shouted something in Korean, and Hui smacked his arm, lecturing him for whatever he said. Yanan’s face grew red and he responded in a flustered way.
“What did he say?” you asked. “I don’t know Korean.”
“You don’t?” He frowned, realizing that you really were as foreign as you appeared. “You’re not from here, are you.”
You shook your head. “I came from the other side of the world to see you. This is my first time in Korea.”
“How long will you be here?”
“I can only stay for another week and a half. But we’ll work something out until I can move here.”
“You’d move here for me?” Yanan seemed a little bewildered yet concerned that you were so ready to uproot your life for him.
Sternly, you responded, “Of course! You’re my soulmate! I’d do anything for you.”
Hongseok spoke up just then, and the other members laughed at his comment, Yanan included.
“What are they saying?” You smiled and squeezed his hand. “Tell me!”
“Hongseok said ‘They’re already bickering, they must really be soulmates.’” Yanan pulled you into an unexpected hug as he chuckled, and you eagerly wrapped your arms around his waist.
You listened to the gentle beating of his heart and truly felt like you were home. “And Kino? What did he say?”
You could feel Yanan’s hesitance to respond, but he translates eventually. “He said, ‘Just kiss her already!’”
Your heart fluttered at the words, and you pulled away to look up at him. “Yeah, that would be nice.”
“You’re a little spitfire, aren’t you.” He cupped your face with a wild grin. “I like that.”
“You better.” You grinned, too. “You’re stuck with me, after all.”
With a chuckle, he leaned down and pressed his lips to yours, officially sealing your Connection. Warmth flowed through you and peaceful energy radiated from you, bathing the room in a calm aura.
When you parted, he murmured, “I’m sorry that you had to wait for me for so long. I can’t wait to learn everything about you.”
“We’re in no rush. We have all the time in the world.”

PENTAGON META
PENTAGON TIME!!
Thoughts:
Self-produced
Choreo always matches songs well
Overall pretty talented
Good chemistry, all have same type of aura and musicality, but with enough differences to make diverse music
Refreshing, not overly cute
Why haven't they gotten a win yet? like literally everyone knows Shine and it's not even their best song :'(
Hui's composing is fantastic
Several members can play instruments too
Kino can choreograph
Members:
Hui: The charismatic leader. Undeniably incredible vocalist. Nice raspy voice with great range and control. Also a talented dancer, composes a LOT (all?) of their songs, as well as songs for other groups. Adorable, is cute a lot, does random acrobatics all the time (?), tries to rule as leader but often gets bullied by the other members lol.
Jinho: Oldest yet cutest. All around capable: decent dancer, good rapper, spectacular vocalist. Clear voice but can get a rocker vibe and grit into when he wants, see Runaway, Can you feel it.
Hongseok: Fitness buff, surreal washboard abs and overall MUSCLES. Also angelic voice, with a soft and gentle tone. Big corny dork, giggle is super high pitched lol. Good at English, pretty bad at dancing, but obviously practices really hard since he often dances other groups choreo and can do well on sped up versions of songs.
Shinwon: Absolute dork. Hilarious and totally ridiculous most of the time. Talks and laughs a lot, trickster. Lovely low tone voice that is really rich, decent dancer too and overall enthusiastic. Can play piano. Short temper lol, screams.
Yeo One: Passion guy! Low self-esteem and always thinks he can do better so tries super hard and is very intense. Basically a jukebox, can play guitar, decent dancer. MC of the group, good at speaking, acting, very sincere.
Yanan: Shanghai prince. Unintentionally funny especially when angry. Doesn't put up with the other members bulls**t lol. Very sweet voice, legs for days. Entertaining ways of expressing himself and dealing with the other members. Also can play piano.
Yuto: Shy, gets nervous and tight before stages. Low tone "serious" guy but in reality quite adorable. High pitched giggle from such a deep voice is disconcerting yet hilarious. Great rapper, good dancer, ABS lol. Very polite and kind. Iconic "Yutoda".
Kino: Dance king, creates some of their choreo, girl group dances, freestyle, anything. Seems older than he is with his responsibility and maturity (most of the time). Very sensitive, gets teased by the other members for it a lot. Lots of stage presence.
Wooseok: Giant maknae (though in reality a week or less younger than Yuto and Kino), super tall. Great rapper, but also decent singer. Is main in chorus a lot, silly, a lot goes over his head, likes to tease older members.
Favorite Song: Sha La La (신토부리) Most Underrated song: Like This, Beautiful Song That Grew On Me: Gorilla Favorite MV: Humph Favorite Era: Shine Favorite Title Track: Runaway Favorite Non-title track: Beautiful

Favorite Choreo: Shine Least Favorite Title Track: None, I pretty much love all their title tracks Least Favorite Choreo: None, all of their choreo is pretty good Favorite Vocal Part: Jinho's voice in Beautiful, Shinwon's "Like this" Favorite Rap Part: Yuto's rap in Sha La La Favorite Dance Part: The "harvesting dance" from Sha La La, the part in Shine right after the main chorus lines (where Kino and Hongseok sing)

More Time
Pairing: PTG’s Wooseok x OC [Melanie] || PTG’s Yeo One x OC [Serena] Genre: slice of life, slight fluff Word Count: 3,208 Summary: After spending some time and learning of feelings, the boys just need more time to express things further. part one {The Night’s Not Over Yet}
Warning: none … just a few swear words and very minor violence and empty threats (lol) not proofread and i wrote different two years ago than i do now… so yeah.
PTG was actually the first group where i would actually write a part two for my one-shots because of my sister. it was a deep motivation back then for me to write. kinda crazy. i miss writing like that and for PTG. just haven’t written then in a while and i think it had to do with how things had turned out like last year. anyways, happy reading and kthxbai, Admin Lia~
Once the Ferris Wheel came to an end both couples exited their carts one by one. Serena and Changgu got out first with Changgu assisting Serena. "Watch your step, Serena." He warned while holding onto her hands still as Serena walked out carefully. "Thanks, Changgu." "Of course." He shot her a smile as she smiled back while the two made their way away from the ride. "So what do you wanna do next?" He asked her and Serena shrugged her shoulders. "How about we just walk around for now?" "Sure." He grinned as Changgu still held onto Serena's hand and she just let him for now not wanting to be mean or awkward about it.
Meanwhile, Melanie watched as Wooseok struggled to get out of the cart due to his height with a laugh. "Hey, Melanie, don't laugh." He grumbled once he finally got out and Melanie stepped out a second later with Wooseok's help. "Thanks, Wooseok." She thanked him still with a smile on her face. "You're welcome." The male eyed her. "It wasn't that funny." "I know." She laughed as he groaned, but recovered. "So what do you wanna do now?" "Um, let's go play games. You can win me a giraffe or something." "Why a giraffe?" "It just popped in my head." "Alright, leggo." The two made their way to the first game booth they saw hand in hand.
"So, how long are you going to hold my hand for?" Serena asked once the two have been walking for several minutes now. "Hmm, I dunno. I quite like it." Changgu grinned as he gave her a hand a small squeeze before letting out a loud laugh. "I figured that you'll run away if I like go or something." "Stop. I won't." Serena said in a neutral tone, but the possibility was still there and Changgu knew that. "Yeah, I'm not going to risk that. Your sister told me some things." "Like what?" "Just some things that concerns how you behave when you're around people you like." "Yeah, right." She scoffed, but caught Changgu's knowing gaze. "Shut up."
Serena tried to move on ahead, but Changgu pulled her back to his side with a laugh. "Don't worry, Serena. I think it's kinda cute." "Psh, yeah right, Changgu. Maybe I should be conscious around you." She teased with a nonchalant face as Changgu's face fell. "What do you mean? What did I do?" "I remember Hongseok saying something about a stalker, so maybe you're not who you say you are and you're just waiting for the kill." "Oh, right, Serena. I'm going to kidnap you and locked you up from everyone else so that you'll always be with me no matter what." He said with a roll of his eyes as Serena laughed. "Are you that obsessed with me?"
"I'm not obsessed. I was just curious since someone didn't want to talk to me even though I always tried to initiate conversation with her, but she would always make excuses and leave me hanging." "What? I did not. That's a total lie." "Sure it is." "I hardly ever hung out with you guys so you're a stalker." "I'm not a stalker." Changgu rolled his eyes as Serena restrained a laugh from erupting. "Anyways, that's not important. What is important is that we're hanging out now and you're actually talking to me." "Because I have to, Changgu." "Don't act like I'm keeping you prisoner and holding you here against your will, Serena."
Serena held up their joined hands while pointing at it with her other hand to prove a point. "This is a date, Serena. Of course I'm going to hold my date's hand while walking around the amusement park." Changgu reasoned with a laugh as Serena shook her head with a laugh as well although she eyed him a moment later. "Who said this was a date?" "I figured I could call it that for the time being since the night's not over yet and that I still got time for you to admit your feelings for me." "Wow. Besides I don't have any feelings for you." "Then your sister lied to me?" "Ugh, I hate her." Serena grumbled. "Be spilling my secrets and shit."
Changgu was about to say something, but he suddenly felt her hand slipping from out of his as she ran off while calling out their other friends' names. He watched as their other group of friends were only a few feet away, but had scrambled away in different directions upon seeing and hearing Serena coming after them. "I'ma kick all of your asses when I get my hands on you!" Serena screamed after them as she wondered who she should go after with Changgu chasing after her a second later with a shake of his head and let out a chuckle when she targeted her sight on Hongseok. "Need to go save him. I do owe him one."
Melanie had just beaten the dart game winning herself her own medium sized giraffe plush doll. The game operator handed her the blue toy as Wooseok watched the exchange a bit envious. "Isn't he cute?" Melanie said as she held up the doll up for Wooseok to see. "It is, but how were you able to hit any of the targets when I barely could?" Melanie grinned at him with a sly look. "You have to know how to play by their rules and around it. My brothers taught me some things." Wooseok rubbed the back of his neck with a confused look while the two began walking around again. "What rules are those? I didn't know they had rules."
The female shook her head as she snuggled the doll closer to her while Wooseok looked at the doll a bit envious which Melanie caught his look. "Are you jealous of Blue, Wooseok?" She teased as Wooseok looked at her weirdly. "Who's Blue?" Melanie waved the animal doll around as Wooseok scoffed. "Yeah, right, Melanie. I ain't jealous of some stuffed doll." "Oh, I see. Okay then." She said as she walked on ahead with a skip in her step while speaking to the doll to teased the male some more. "Hey, Blue, so what do you wanna do? Do you wanna ride the Tunne of Love with me?"
Wooseok rolled his eyes as he caught up with Melanie and took a firm hold onto her free hand that she had purposely left for him to take a hold of. "You are not going to the Tunnel of Love with a stuffed giraffe, Melanie." He stated in a matter-of-fact tone as she side-glanced him. "Oh, Wooseok, do you wanna go with me instead?" The question made him flustered leaving him unable to speak. Melanie was about to tease him some more when she felt someone brushed passed her abruptly before grabbing a hold of her shoulders and hid behind her. "She's not following me, is she?" The person asked as she turned to see who it was. "Jinho?"
"Who do you mean by 'she', Jinho? Did something happen?" Wooseok asked once he and Melanie stopped walking and Jinho moved away from hiding behind Melanie. "Ah, I'm safe." Jinho left out a relieved breath before looking at them with a smile. "Serena was chasing after us earlier, but I think once we split up she chose to go after only one of us." "And I think I know who that may be." Melanie laughed already figuring out who her sister ran after. "Who?" The male duo asked as she grinned at them. "Hongseok, duh." "Why?" Wooseok asked confused as Jinho laughed. "Because she's closer to him and knew it was his idea." "Yeah." Melanie agreed.
Jinho then noticed the pair's held hands and took a few steps back with a giddy look. "I'll just let you two continued on with your date now." "It's not a date." Melanie confirmed as Wooseok sulked upon hearing that. "He hasn't officially asked, so we're just hanging out as friends for now." Jinho chuckled with a shake of his head. "I'm assuming that you both confessed, but you're just giving him a hard time, right, Mel?" "Maybe." She cooed while holding the giraffe before handing it to Jinho. "What do you want me to do with this?" "Give it to Yuto to hold onto it since he has the other stuff."
"Melanie and I have to continue on our date, Jinho, so if you don't mind we'll be leaving now." Wooseok interjected giving Jinho a curt nod before leading Melanie away with Jinho chuckling due to Wooseok's behavior before heading in the opposite direction in hopes of running into the others. "Never thought of him as the jealous type." Meanwhile Melanie nudged Wooseok in the ribs. "Don't be jealous. We're just friends and I see him as a brother." "I'm not jealous." "Uh huh." "I'm not." "Okay then. I'll just hang out with Jin-" Melanie was interrupted as Wooseok pulled her closer to him. "You're staying with me." "Ooh, possessive much?"
"No." Wooseok answered before casting her a wide smile. "I just need to make sure that it's just you and me hanging out. I don't need the others to distract you from me." "Oh, I see." Melanie said nonchalantly before pointing to his left. "Oh, look. Yanan and Shinwon are over there and heading this way." "Where?" He asked alert as Melanie slipped her hand from out of his and ran off but not before turning around to stick her tongue out at him playfully. "Just kidding!" And she turned back around and ran for her life with Wooseok finally registering what just happened. "Hey! Melanie!" All he could hear was her laughter as he chased her.
"Hongseok!" Serena still chased after Hongseok who was surprised that the female was able to keep up with him. "Serena, just go back to your boyfriend. I'm sorry!" Hongseok said out of desperation to distract his female friend so that he could make his escape with the last bit of energy he still had left in him. "He is not my boyfriend, Seok! I'm gonna b-" Serena yelling was interrupted in mid-sentence before she could actually tackle her friend because she felt arms wrapped around her waist and lifting her in the air causing Hongseok to make his escape while shouting out a 'thank you' towards Changgu in helping him.
"Gotcha, Serena, finally." Changgu said in a breathy tone as he still held onto a struggling Serena within his arms. "Why, Changgu?" Serena cried in a groaning kind of way when she realized what had just happened. "You let Hongseok get away! I thought you said I could torture the guys as much as I want? What a liar." Changgu laughed as he set Serena down and turned her to face him, but continued to hold onto her. "I'm sorry, but I owe Hongseok for helping me with getting a one on one with you." "Ugh, so dumb. You couldn't save him another time?" Serena made a face as Changgu shook his head with a smile. "Nope."
"Just for you, but how annoying." Serena sulked as Changgu laughed again while pulling her closer against him. "Yeah, sorry not sorry as I really do like how it ended up with us being right now." Serena took noticed of their situation and she eyed him suspiciously. "I really do think you have some sort of obsession about me." "Please, Serena, don't think of it like that." Changgu laughed in disbelief. "You're totally misunderstanding me." Serena laughed while patting his shoulder in reassurance as she was enjoying making the male a bit fluster like he has been doing to her earlier tonight. "I'm teasing, Changgu, but it's kinda cute."
Changgu eyed her upon realizing what she was doing. "This is just a little payback for everything that has happened tonight, isn't it?" "Of course." She grinned before she tried to wiggle out of his grasp. "Um, could you let me go, please? This is kinda awkward." "What? Why? I thought we were getting along nicely." Changgu pouted as Serena rolled her eyes while unconsciously revealing her feelings for him. "This is too much skin-ship even if I like you, Changgu." His ears perked up upon hearing her words as he moved his face closer to hers with a cheeky grin. "Um, did I just hear you say that you like me, Serena?"
"I think you heard wrong." Serena denied as she backed away, but of course that was futile while Changgu continued to grin even more than he already was. "I think not." "Ugh, fine, whatever, Changgu. I actually do like you." Serena re-confirmed while avoiding eye contact with Changgu. "Now let me go so I can go home and suffocate myself with a pillow." Changgu laughed as he removed his arms from around her, but held onto her hands instead. "You're really cute and different, Serena. It's one of the reasons on why I like you." "Yeah, well, your eyes are your best features that made me like you." Serena confessed still avoiding eye contact.
"Oh, really?" Changgu amused as he continued to speak. "Why don't you looked into them as you say that again, Serena?" "Can I not, Changgu?" "No." He chuckled when he heard and saw her huffed in slight annoyance, but Serena slowly directed her eyes into staring into his with a shy demeanor. "I really like your eyes." Changgu giggled as he looked down before looking back into Serena's eyes with seriousness. "I really hope you don't take me for granted, Serena." "I guess we're not gonna work out then, Changgu." Serena continued her sarcastic teasing, but Changgu's expression turned into one of an angry pout.
Serena sighed as she gave his hand a reassuring squeeze. "I'm really sorry, Changgu. I really need to watch what I say and how I say it. I'll make sure to not come off so hostile and weird towards you, Changgu. It's been awhile since I've last dated and so I don't know how to act or behave with the opposite sex that isn't in a friendly and brotherly way." "Don't you mean the sisterly way?" Changgu corrected as Serena laughed with a shake of her head. "No. I'm pretty sure you've seen how I am around Hongseok and Jinho and that's not sisterly at all." "I have and that's true." Changgu said as a smile broke out onto his face.
"It's okay. We'll work it out since we're getting to know one another face to face now." He smiled as she returned it. "Alright, but no more asking my sister about me." "Unless it's about something that concerns like anniversaries, birthdays, gifts, and etc." "Please don't. You can still ask me." "Then it won't be a surprise, Serena." "Then we won't last long." "Don't do that to me." Changgu pouted as Serena chuckled. "I couldn't help it, but okay, Changgu." "Good. Now about an actual date with grilled pork belly?" "Just for you, but you're taking me home after since I came with my sister." "Yay! More time for our date." "Sure."
"Melanie! Where are you?" Wooseok called after Melanie who was now playing hide and seek with the male and watched his every move as he tried to find her. "This wasn't at all what I was expecting tonight would turn out like." He muttered as he scanned the area for the female, but couldn't spot her with the other people and stands around them. "Is this what she does with the others when they hang out?" He asked to the air with an annoyed look. "Play games?" "No, just for you." Melanie answered from next to him as she held up an index finger so that it would poke Wooseok's cheek when he turned around and it did.
"Gotcha." She giggled as Wooseok moved her hand away from his face with a slight frown directed in her direction. "Are you done playing games, Melanie?" Melanie sighed as she caught the annoyed tone in his voice. "Yeah. I'll just let my sister know that I'm ready to leave to head back home. We can wait for the others at the front entrance, too." Wooseok's panicked and wondered if what he had said made Melanie want to go home early. "Wait, why? There's still a lot of games and rides to play and go on." "Oh, I thought you were done hanging out with me since you seemed annoyed." Melanie stated with a nonchalant look.
"Ahh, yeah, that." Wooseok shot her a sheepish look while rubbing the back of his neck nervously. "Sorry. I was just a bit mad about having to chase you all over the place and then you going around hiding and what not even when I was calling your name." "We are at an amusement park, Wooseok." "I know, Melanie, but it's not that amusing when you're not the one having fun while others are." "Oh, I see." There was a moment of silence as Wooseok cast his eyes onto the female who was looking elsewhere. "Do you still wanna hang out?" "It's up to you. I drove and Serena hasn't messaged me to leave yet."
"So, you're going to leave once Serena's ready to leave?" He asked for confirmation as Melanie nodded. "Yeah, something like that." "Can't Changgu take her home so that you and I can spend some more time together?" "I mean, we can hang out more since we already know that we like one another, Wooseok. It's not like I'm Serena and take back about telling you my feelings or whatever." "Well, I mean you could since you are sisters." "I could, but I won't." She laughed as Wooseok became a bit shy although quite happy. "So..." He trailed off as Melanie looked at him. "So, what?"
"Continue our date?" Wooseok asked hopefully while Melanie smirked. "I mean, I kinda like my single life, but..." Melanie trailed off as Wooseok's hopeful expression dimmed. "Yeah, we can." She chuckled as he grinned while taking her hand and started leading them both around the amusement park with Melanie eyeing him teasingly. "Despite your tall stature and somewhat brooding face, you're quite cute and boyish." She laughed as Wooseok smiled. "Thanks, but try not to say that when the guys are around." "They should know, too." "They already do, but they don't need to know that you think so too." Melanie laughed. "Fine. Just for you."
"Anyways," Melanie began when she spotted a place that caught her eye, "Wanna go in the haunted house?" "Why?" "Because it's fun." "How is it fun when people jump out at you to scare you?" "Because the reaction of the other person makes it fun and it is a haunted house, Wooseok." "No thanks. I rather not get jumped at." Melanie rolled her eyes as she spotted something else. "Ooh, basketball. Let's play that." "Are you gonna be good at this game, too?" "Dunno. Let's try, but if I win I'll make sure to get you the prize." "I think that's supposed to me my line to you." "Same difference." "As long as we have more time for our date." "Obviously."

Note : Hello everybody! I have written a fanfic on the pentagon’s member Yan An (who is my ubias but hush...). I wanted to share it with you so I translate it from my maternal language so if there is some errors which is left I will be happy to be corrected! ^^ Also if you ask yourself why I write Yanan and Yan An it’s because when I speak about the member, the real person I write it Yan An and when I speak about the character, the person of my fanfic I write it Yanan. (I hope you understand what I wanted to say...) So here we go!
It’s Friday night. You just finished you work and you have decided with your boyfriend, Yanan that you will pass the night with him. You went to his house straight after your work because you have already left the things that you will really need here. So you have left your teethbrush, your pyjamas and some change of clothes. Furthermore, you had your make up box in your bag. So you were ready. You even have selected a movie that you will see together. An horror movie. You have never watched one and in the case that you will be scare too much, you have thought that it was preferable to watch it with your boyfriend. You will feel so much more in security with him than alone. You finally arrived in front of his house and you rang. He opened quickly the door. He was eager to see you too. You entered, took off your shoes and sliped in his arms as soon as possible.
- You missed me so much…
- You missed me too…
He squeezed you tenderly in his arms too and placed a kiss on your hair before he let you go. You took off your coat and you put it on the coat hanger. Meanwhile, Yanan was gone order food for you two in the living room. You joined him on the couch. He was sit on it, his legs crossed. You put your head on his shoulder. You starded to relax, rest yourself of this intensive workday. He said nothing but you feel his arm around you, caressing yours gently. You weren’t doing something amazing but just the fact that you were with each other like this was enough for you to be happy.
- Y/N…
- Hum ? What’s going on ?
- I wanted to tell you that I’m really happy that you are my first girlfriend.
You made your most beautiful smile to him and you clinged to his neck. You kissed him softly and lovingly. That was quite a while that your lips were waiting one thing only : the contact oh his. You thanked him while you looked at him with all the love that you have for him and caressed his hand.
After a moment, while you were cuddling, the delivery guy rang at the door. Your boyfriend caressed your cheek and stood up to open to the guy behind the door. He payed and came back to you. He put the food on the coffee table. He unwrap the food while you went to the kitchen to take plates to be able to eat in front of the TV.
- By the way Y/N
- Yes ?
- What have you planned for us to watch tonight ?
- Ah yes ! Some people at my work spoke to me about an horror movie. The problem is that I’ve never watch this sort of movie so I prefer to watch it with you.
- An horror movie ?
- Yes, why ? There is a problem ?
- No, no. None.
Yes, there was one and you realized it very quickly. At the beginning of the movie you spotted that Yanan have already eaten all of his meal faster than usual. Furthermore, you feel him more tense than before. And you were right because at the first screamer, your boyfriend did an extraordinary jump before he clinged fiercely on a poor innocent cushion. He screamed everytime he heard a noise which was possible to scare him. You decided to stop here his nightmare in by turning off the TV. He was now against you, very close, his arms around your waist, his eyes closed. His hands were so tight on your body to be sure that he was in security that you were unable to take them off of you. So you take his sweet face in your hands.
- Yanan, it’s over. I have turn off the TV. I am here, don’t worry.
You caressed his cheek and his hair, hoping that will calm him.
- You better had tell me that you are scare about this sort of movie.
- … But you wanted to see it so much with me that I have thought that it will be alright…
- Yanan… It’s not legal to be so adorable like this. Anyway, I note that we will never watch again an horror movie together.
- For my survival, I prefer…
- You want to watch a movie a little more joyful ?
- Yes…
So you finished your evening with your boyfriend, watching a comedy movie. Your head on his legs, one of his hand playing with your hair and his other hand was in yours.

Your Choice. Choose Wisely. - Yanan
Group: Pentagon Member: Yanan aka TALL BEAN aka mister legs Genre: anGSTYYYY (I feel like this will hurt) (It does) Requested: nope requests are dry Prompt: “It’s not that easy!” ; “We’ll figure this out” Length: short|medium|long|idk man Warning: There will be some mentions of relationship abuse and harsh language. it will be really vague and broad but it will be there, so read with caution this is just as a warning.
A/N: upon finishing this I realized I got carried away AND this hurt my heart. Please enjoy this sad angsty shit because I am trash.
“Yanan, I don’t want to talk about this right now.” You groaned, your ankle was throbbing because the pain killers hadn’t kicked in yet.
“We need to, I have to know exactly what happened.” He was left pacing the room, his lip between his teeth and the clear worry lines on full display.
“There is no way to say it nicely so drop it for now.” You wanted to beg him to just go, you needed to be alone right now to process the last few hours.
However your best friend and apartment mate had a completely different idea about what needed to happen. He stopped in front of you and checked you over one more time. He grimaced at your swollen lip and was more than aware of your wrapped and elevated ankle resting on a pillow on the other end of the couch. He’d almost tripped over the crutches by you on the floor when he gotten home and he’d been questioning you nonstop since then.
“Yanan, you really don’t want the explanation right now.” You sighed, knowing if he kept it up you were going to blow a gasket and he was the only person with you at the moment.
“I can handle it (Y/N).” He squatted in front of you and reached for your hand that you moved away from him.
“Okay, don’t say I didn’t warn you.” You took a deep breath and watched him slowly pull his hand back to his knee. “Your psychopathic girlfriend was berating me on the stairwell and pushed me down half a flight of stairs.”
“W-What?” Yanan froze.
You gave him a moment to process this information because you just told him that the light of his life, the one he lives for pushed his best friend down a set of stairs causing a sprained ankle, a busted lip and possibly some knee damage.
“She wouldn’t do that.” He mumbled, more to himself. “Did you say something to her?”
“Are you kidding me?!” Your voice raised in volume and pitch. “You’re asking what I did to deserve getting pushed down the stairs?!” You could barely hold in the rage bubbling throughout your body.
“She’s too sweet to ever do that to anyone. She really likes you too.” Yanan stood up quickly, towering over your already smaller frame laying on the couch. “She always talks about–” His phone started ringing. “That’s her… I’ll be right back.”
You watched him walk towards the back of the apartment and out the back door to your tiny yard. You wanted to pace the living room now but were clearly unable. You picked your phone up from your lap and send a message to Changgu, him and Shinwon were suppose to get here before Yanan got home to back you up.
“(Y/N)?” A familiar voice called from your front door.
“In here.” You turned your body the best you could to greet your guests. “Took you long enough, he’s already home.” You wanted to throw yourself onto the floor.
“Shit, sorry.” Shinwon smiled apologetically. “But we got snacks!”
Changgu who was a few steps behind held up the plastic bag full of goodies with a shy smile.
“We also wanted to apologize for not preventing this.” Changgu motioned towards your ankle.
“Guys, none of us really thought she was going to do it until I was already at the bottom of the stairs.” You tried to make light of the situation.
“So where is he? You said he was home.”
“She called so he’s in the backyard.”
“He just leaves you like this, did you tell him?”
“The jist of what happened and he wanted to know what I did to make her push me down the stairs.”
“Seriously?!” Changgu’s good natured smile that he always wore disappeared. “She came at you screaming and accusing you of cheating with him. She shoved you and tried to start a fight. She pushed you down the stairs.”
“I didn’t get to go into detail because the psychopath called.” You rolled your eyes.
“You’d think this would be the breaking point.” Shinwon sighed, sitting down beside you on the couch, careful of your leg. “After everything that’s happened and all the shit, you’d think his best friend getting hurt like this would be what it took for this mess to end.”
“Do you guys have the proof?” You asked, feeling a heavy weight on your chest.
“Yea… We had the rest of the guys send us everything they had.” Changgu held up his phone, “Between my phone and Hyung’s we have all the proof we’ll need.”
“Are you sure you need to do this now?” Shinwon’s hands were fidgeting in his lap.
“Yes. I was going to wait until after the semester ended since we’d be going back home but this can’t go on any longer. It’s one thing to be a two-faced bitch, but to actually assault me, that’s too damn far.” You rubbed around your temples, a headache already hitting you.
“I agree with her.” Changgu concured from the kitchen where he was getting sodas and unpacking the snacks. “This girlfriend of his is causing way too much trouble, it’s not a healthy relationship.”
“If this goes on any longer it could really damage his view on relationships and love. I know this girl is the first one he’s dated and I don’t want her to be the last. He deserves so much better.” As you thanked Changgu for the drink and bag of chips, the sound of the back door grabbed all of the attention.
“(Y/N), we definitely need to talk now because she sai–What are you doing here?” Yanan froze seeing his hyungs sitting on either side of you, like body guards.
“We’re here to tell you the truth. To explain what happened from our perspective because we were there.” Shinwon motioned for Yanan to sit down.
“Misun told me everything, it’s fine.” Yanan’s face went stoic, his posture was rigid and closed off. “What I need to do right now is talk to (Y/N) alone so we can figure out how to find a happy medium because Misun still wants to be friends even though (Y/N) started it.”
The last part sent you and the two other guys in the room into a spiral of rage and betrayal. You were so angry your eyes started to water and this was not a situation for you to cry because you didn’t want Yanan’s pity you wanted him to open his goddamn eyes.
Changgu leaned forward and grabbed your hand when he noticed you tense up and he squeezed it a few times before he spoke up.
“Yanan, I know you don’t want to hear this but Misun lied to you. She’s the one that approached (Y/N), she started yelling at her about being too close to you and accused her of cheating with you. Then Misun shoved to, trying to instigate a fight and when (Y/N) didn’t retaliate Misun pushed her so hard she fell down the stairs. The only thing (Y/N) is guilty of is not beating the shit out of Misun before hand.”
Changgu’s last sentence made all of you look at him. His normal docile, cheerful, I-love-everyone attitude was gone. He was a little scary being that stone cold, his warm hand offered such a contrast to the cold hatred in his eyes.
“This isn’t the first time she’s attacked (Y/N) like that, the times before were less physical, mainly foul language and name calling.” Shinwon added as he grabbed your phone and opened it to Misun’s contact, respectfully name that bitch, and scrolled to the first message Misun had sent you. “She’s been verbally assaulting (Y/N) since the beginning.”
Yanan only glanced at the messages, he thumbed through them too quickly to actually read them. Before you blinked your phone was tossed back onto the small wooden coffee table between the four of you. You watched as his eyes fluttered between the three of you before settling on his phone in his lap.
“She wouldn’t do all that. It’s all fake.” He mumbled quietly.
“Need more proof? Here.” Changgu devoid of any more emotion unlocked his phone and opened the group chat he had created within your group of friends excluding you and Yanan. “Here is everything that bitch has said to everyone else since the two of you started dating.” Changgu walked over and slammed his phone into Yanan’s hand. “And you will look at these.”
Changgu stood over Yanan as he scrolled through the screen shots of his Misun calling all his best friends awful names, he read how she had told them to quit talking to him because she was more important. He quickly picked up on those she was more vicious too, the two people he was closest to, Changgu and you.
“She can’t really hurt me so she turned to (Y/N) and did that.” Changgu pointed to you, beated and tatted looking tired and broken.
For the first time in a long time Yanan seemed to break a little.
“We’ll figure this out…” He started, “We can work something out. We can all be friends still and get through this.” He was too hopeful, still under her spell.
“How about you look at the messages she sent to (Y/N) one more time.” Changgu’s voice was rough. He picked up your phone again and pushed it into Yanan’s face. “She has sent messages to our friend telling her to stay away from you, that she’s trash and ugly and not worthy to breathe the same air as her. She has told (Y/N) to off herself at least fifty times because you would be better without her. Misun has been trying to drive a wedge between you and us so that you only have her. (Y/N) has put up with this shit for the last three months because she cares about you too much to leave because of this garbage human.”
“Changgu, calm down.” Shinwon stood to get between the too. It only took a few moments for Changgu to drag his much larger friend to his feet and get into his face.
“No Hyung. He’s been so blinded because someone showed him so attention that he’s letting his friends get hurt.”
“We can work something out.” Yanan almost cried, matching Changgu’s stance and standing his ground.
“It’s not that easy!“ You sighed, the tears had been flowing since the beginning, your nose was clogged and you probably sounded pathetic. At least it matched how you felt. “I wasn’t going to make you choose, because that’s cruel but this is too much. It’s us or her. You get to keep your friends or you get to keep your girlfriend.” The term was sour in your mouth.
“It sucks ya know, we’re playing right into her hand.” You shook your head. The guys all looked at you. You didn’t notice Yanan falter and step back from Changgu. “This is what she wants, but she’s been too manipulative and abusive that you’ve become completely submissive to her.” You locked eyes with Yanan.
“You haven’t been the same since you’ve started dating her. She has sucked the life right out of you and I hate you right now. Do you realize one of the first things you asked me was what did I do to get pushed down the stairs?” All the attention went to Yanan again, he could feel the anger bubbling from his hyungs. “There were some classmates of mine around, some of them recorded it so I can get proof if you decide you can’t trust me.” You sniffled before moving to stand, Shinwon was by your side in seconds. “I’m going to press chargers and if she gets arrested, she gets arrested. That’s what happens when you assault someone. I can’t feel any compassion towards her anymore because I tried. I tried to understand that she came from a rough past relationship but she projected that onto you. If you decide to stay with her after all this, then pack your shit and get out by the end of the week. Until you decide I’m staying with these two.”
Shinwon walked beside you as you moved towards your room to pack some stuff. Yanan and Changgu were left standing less than a foot apart, Changgu had been watching Yanan with a locked jaw and fire in his eyes. Yanan couldn’t bare to look at Changgu so he focused on other things around the room.
Changgu noticed the internal struggle going on in his friend. Yanan’s eyes were glazed over and he had been gnawing on his lip for ten minutes now. He watched his friend start to pace and fidget as they heard you and Shinwon talking quietly in your room. Yanan always broke completely when he heard you sob a few times, knowing he was a big part of why you were in so much pain.
Just as Changgu had moved to his original seat your phone started vibrating with a call form none other than Misun. Changgu silently leant forward, answered the call, and put it on speaker.
“Listen (Y/N), I wanted to call you say a few things.” Yanan perked up, hoping Misun would apologize and this could some how be fixed but he mentally shattered as she spoke again. “First off bitch you got what you deserved so don’t even think of crying to my Yannie about it, because you know he’ll always be on my side. I just wish you’d hit your heard or something so you’d be in the hospital and out of my way. This wouldn’t have had to happen if you weren’t so close to my Yannie.” The way Misun said Yanan name started to make him sick. “Second, even if those two assholes get involved I’ll still win. I’ve laid my claim and made Yannie mine, he’s no longer your friend and as of today I’ll make sure of that. He knows I love him too much to just leave. Besides who’d want him after me?” She laughed, Changgu hardly flinched as he watched his friend break even more. “Anyway, I just wanted to call to chat but I’m assuming since you’re so quiet you’ve given up and that’s just what I’ve wanted. I’ll be over in a few hours to see Yannie so you better be fucking gone or I’ll finish the job I started.” And the call ended.
Changgu waited a moment before he grabbed your phone and picked up the unopened snacks to clean up.
“See Yanan, Misun isn’t the sweet angel you think she is. She’s manipulative and honestly, a bitch. She’s been like this to (Y/N) since day one and just wish we’d told you sooner. I’m not going be nice as nice as she was though, you don’t have a week. I’m giving you three days before we come back and move (Y/N) out of here and in with us because I will not let her be treated like this. She has been your best friend for years, how can you just throw her away from some girl?!” Changgu stopped himself from advancing on Yanan again. “We,” He motioned between the two of them, “can work through this and get back to normal but as long as you’re with Misun consider this friendship done.”
Before Yanan could say anything you and Shinwon made it back into the living room. Shinwon was carrying two duffel bags and your back pack. Changgu took one of the duffel bags and your backpack as Shinwon followed you to the door.
“You have everything right?” Changgu’s demeanor changed completely as he watched you worriedly.
“Yes, I packed enough for about a week. And I’ve got everything I need for my classes too.” You turned towards Yanan. “I took everything of value and locked my door but if I find that anything is missing I will beat Misun’s ass.”
Yanan could only nod slightly. Shinwon moved to Changgu and had him go with you. Shinwon then walked over to Yanan.
“This hurts us so much because we care okay? We know why you’re so attached to her and why she means so much to you, but this is not healthy. If anything happens or you’ve made your choice call me. (Y/N) made it clear to me that she doesn’t want to talk to you right now and from what I heard so has Changgu. Don’t think that this means you’ve lost all of us…” Shinwon looked over his shoulder at Changgu helping you slide on your one show and throw a couple pairs into his duffel bag. “They’re affected so much because you’re all so close. Just know that me and the rest of the hyungs are still here, just call one of us okay? Check in, we’re all really worried.” Shinwon patted Yanan’s shoulder before moving towards the door.
“I hope to see you soon Yanan.”
In seconds, Yanan was left to process his thoughts and with his mind completely reeling from all that’s happened. The only thing his body could handle at that moment was to crumple to the ground and just sob, so that’s what he did.
He sobbed for many reasons, but the biggest reason was that after you left he realized he didn’t care as much as he should have. That final thought took what was left of him and stomped on the pieces. He didn’t know if he could fix this anymore.

It’s Over
It’s Over
Member: Yanan
Group: Pentagon
Genre: Angst
A dark-haired man walked down the street and stopped to wait for the crosswalk. He had a bouquet of dark crimson roses, a sullen look on his unshaven face. Dark circles under his swollen red eyes showed his lack of sleep. Anyone who looked at him could tell that he was having a hard time. But no one knew just how bad of a time he was having. He wanted to just scream at the world. Why did everything have to fall apart so fast? As he crossed the crosswalk, his mind drifted, remembering how quickly everything went to absolute shit.
“Now remember, I have a fan event today! I’m planning on announcing to everyone we’re dating. I know that there will be some backlash, but hopefully, they’ll be supportive.” Her voice spoke excitedly as she stood in the bathroom, brushing her teeth. “Are you going to be able to come?” She looked at him, toothpaste covering her lips. He smiled and nodded. “Are you sure? I don’t want to force you.” She took the toothbrush out of her mouth, frowning. He couldn’t imagine her any cuter than she is.
“I’m sure. This is your first big fan event. I wouldn’t miss it for the world.” The man smiled, wrapping his arms around her waist. She smiled back as much as she could without toothpaste falling out of her mouth. She turned around and continued brushing her teeth as he kissed the top of her head.
“What’s your schedule today?” Her voice came out mumbled as she continued to brush her teeth.
“We have to do an interview and a photoshoot, but I think that’s it.”
“Hmm..ok. Have a good day!” She said, brightly. He laughed and kissed her cheek before heading out.
The photoshoot went on longer than expected because the photographer asked Yuto to hold a can of paint and he accidentally dropped it down everyone’s back. So they had to wash up and retake the photos. Only problem being, the photographer liked the photos of the paint being dropped more so they wasted two hours retaking the photos.
After the photos were done they said goodbye and Yanan rushed to his girlfriend’s event, seeing that it was almost over. She was signing the last couple albums and then she’d say her farewells and leave. Yanan breathed a sigh of relief that he didn’t miss it because of the mishap. Grabbing the album he secretly bought, he hushed the excited fans as he walked up behind the last person that she was currently signing.
The fans smiled widely at him and waved. He smiled and waved back before the girl in front of him grabbed her album and went to sit back down. He cleared his throat and made his voice as girl-like as possible.
“Oh, unni! I’m such a big fan!” He squealed making her jump and laugh.
“Yanan! What?! When did you get an album?!”
“I preordered it as soon as you told me about it.” He laughed.
After she signed it, she signaled for him to stand next to her as she stood up and grabbed the microphone.
“Well, everyone, it’s time that the event ended, but before we go I have one thing to announce. I’m sure a lot of you won’t be surprised, but I hope that none of you are disappointed in me.”
“What are you doing?!”
“Are you quitting?!”
“Are you pregnant?!”
“What’s happening?!” A couple shouts came out from the crowd, making her laugh.
“No I’m not quitting nor am I pregnant. I wanted to announce that Yanan and I are dat-“
She was cut off by two loud bangs. Yanan jumped and looked to the back to see a masked person holding a pistol, pointed right at her. Everything seemed to move in slow motion. Fans’ screams rang out as he turned to look at her, her smile fading as she looked down at her chest, slowly being covered by blood. As she raised her hand to one of the wounds, her eyes rolled back into her head and she went limp.
Yanan caught her before she fell, screaming for someone to call an ambulance. Adrenaline ran through his veins and he pushed his hands to the wounds. One shot went through her left shoulder and the other went through under her right breast. Security pushed him aside and started working on her. He looked over to the masked person to see them slowly putting the gun away before more security tackled them. Everything then seemed to blur together. The ambulance arrived, EMTs hurrying her into the back of it and taking her to the hospital. Her manager pulled Yanan to his feet and into their car. Yanan still wasn’t able to process what happened so he sat in the passenger seat, staring at his bloodstained hands. Her blood.
Was someone really that mad that they were dating? Was it so wrong for them to love each other that she had to be shot? Was it his fault? Could he have saved her if they never got together? Could he have saved her if he stepped in front of her? Is she going to die? Thoughts ran through his head nonstop, but one worked kept repeating itself. Die. Die. Die.
--
Yanan still can’t get the picture out of his head of the paramedics rolling her into the emergency care unit and the doctor sadly telling him that she didn’t make it to the hospital. Yanan was once again left to stare at his bloodstained hands, unable to process she was gone. He didn’t break down until his members came running in, Hui immediately pulling him into a tight hug. After that, he couldn’t get himself to stop crying. He gasped for breath, but none would fill his lungs. It didn’t help that he kept trying to tell him something, but was speaking so fast none of them could understand. Hui just held him tighter and let him cry into his shoulder, crying tears of his own. The other members watched sadly as the man fell apart, bloodstained hands gripping tightly to the leader’s shirt.
And so here he was, walking to her grave with dark crimson roses in hand. He felt he needed to tell her that the shooter was arrested, thanks to the fancams. But when he finally got to the grave, he couldn’t bring himself to speak. He collapsed to his knees, sobbing. After a while, he was finally able to set the roses down on the headstone. He sat there for a bit longer, staring at the pictures, flowers, and cards that fans all left. She was so loved.
“I love you. I miss you.” Was all he could manage to whisper before he broke down again.
