Though when at a concert, he doesn't get the chance to speak with the famous singer and ask her out, and then gets asked about it in an interview, he isn't shy to admit what his intentions were. Maybe that'll bring Y/N's attention to him... and it definitely will bring the fan's attention. Soon enough, rumors about the couple dating start running around.

So, yeah, that's bad enough right? Yesterday it got even worse. CNN released a report about some comments he made on a porn site forum 12 years ago, the most prominent being 'i'm a black NAZI'. He also commented that he wished slavery was legal and that he'd own a few, and called himself a 'perv' that used to 'peep' on women in public locker rooms when he was a teenager.

Also the tale as old as time that I'm sure you could guess when I mentioned 'GOP' 'loudly transphobic' and 'porn site scandal' - trans porn was a favourite of his. Because of course.

anyway though when i say psychoanalysis is wrong or subjective or whatever i'm generally talking about 1) specific schools of analysis that impute their particular theories / forms / archetypes to a transhistorical, a-social, mythologised human psyche, and 2) the tendency among liberal and other non-materialist commenters to causally impute changes in the world-political context to psychological conditions, rather than the other way around. this is where someone like wilhelm reich becomes really vital imo, although even freud was aware of these issues to some extent (though like not really interested enough to try to theorise outside them lol).

i think plenty of psychoanalytic concepts have applicability in particular contexts, like for example maybe you take a 'complex' that is formulated in observation of, say, bourgeois viennese white women in the early 20th century, and there are often real insights you can generate by interrogating how that complex forms in those people, and why, and again all of the interior analysis here should be subordinated to the analysis of the material conditions: labour relations, the role of the household in capitalist political economy, the production of the roles and positionalities of bourgeois genders, and so forth. all of these things are what produce the 'complex'; not the other way round. psychoanalysis at its best has a capacity to interrogate the dialectics of psychological interiority in context and i actually think this is very much worth doing and would like to see more communists commit to it. it's not a deference to a pre-determined set of rules laid out by freud or anybody else; it's a mode of investigation that i think can be entirely materially oriented, and is more conducive to understanding psychological complexity than most of what passes for 'social sciences' today lmao.

in history you see examples of this happening if you think about the difference between 'psychohistory'---a mode of historical writing that claims to analyse material events as influenced by some individual's or group's decontextualised psychological states---and something like a cultural history that attempts to explain something about an age's psychology as a function of its material conditions and relations of production. think, like, what walter benjamin had going on. and then compare to eg desmond and moore's deeply unserious darwin biography. so i wouldn't say "engaging with psychoanalysis" has any singular degree of rightness or value or whatever---it's a question of how you're engaging, and with what political commitments, and how you see the psyche in relation to its material conditions. all of this is also what i would say about any school of psychology or psychiatry, though there are some that are just hostile to materialist analysis by nature, eg bioessentialisms of all stripes.

Your life was perfect, you had the most perfect friends, the most perfect best friend, the most perfect parents and most of all, the most perfect girlfriend.

Wanda maximoff, the school's popular girl first showed interest in me when our group was selected to present our school in the world science expedition, it was when we won the competition did everyone start noticing our group, when Wanda started noticing me, she made sure her approaches towards me were subtle enough to not to be noticed by others but clear enough for me, small notes in my locker, which i don't know how the hell she got the code too, but okay i guess? Mini gifts left on my desk with her initials on it, walking with me to our classes rather than her usual friends, talking to me in free periods, little things that made my heart flutter, and Peter never leaves one opportunity to tease me about it, i mean she's the most beautiful girl in the entire school, not only me but i think the whole school has a crush on her, but to be liked back by her is pretty much a big thing.

Wanda is friendly with practically everyone, she know everyone, even remember their names which i have no explanation on how Because i can barely remember someone's name they told me minutes ago, she was adored by everyone too, so basically a social butterfly but right now the main thing is, she likes me back and that's when i gathered any courage i had and asked her the question when we were in the cafeteria hallway walking towards our class "Wanda, do you like me?" She stumbled in her walk and i had to catch her to stop her from falling, her eyes wide as she stared at me, mouth opening and closing to form words but nothing came out, then she asked skeptically "do you?" Blood rushed to my cheeks, as I stared at the suddenly immensely interesting ground. After saying nothing for a few seconds i just nodded, ready to take off i turned but the next events changed my mind completely.

She pushed me against a door, that i don't know where it lead to, the only thing i can focus on is her lips on mine, her hands sneaking on my waist pulling me closer, i leaned back, giving her all the access she needed, my hands going up to her neck and in her hair, tangling my fingers with her long luscious red locks, she stopped looking down at me smirking and at this point i think i look like a tomato, "tomorrow at 7, I'll pick you up" and with a peck on my lips, she walked of like nothing happen while i stood there processing what the hell just happened.

It's been a few weeks after that kiss, but it only got frequent, her taking me out, giving me gifts but she wanted to keep it a secret, ofcourse Peter knows everything, even if i don't tell him, he'll just know, when i told him about the kiss his squeal was more surprising then Wanda kissing me. The 'keeping it secret' thing didn't bother me but I wanted to show her off, to let everyone know she's mine and I'm hers, more probably because of those pesky boys who kept trying to woo her but she just turned them all down, which I couldn't be more happy about.

I returned her efforts with my own, always doting on her , bringing her flowers, especially a rose because it reminded me of her, only a single rose for every time we met. Aside from that, nobody in her friend circle ,or in mine except peter. knows about us, i have visited her house many times before, why? I was her tutor, but now "tutoring" was the last thing i did when we were in her room, though i still made her study even if she didn't want too because I didn't want her failing classes and she was already struggling with most of it, i sat beside her, observing her completing her calculus homework, she groaned throwing her head back, crying ont dramatically she leaned her head against my neck, i rolled my eyes at her antics, trying to push her off but i was unsuccessful as she threw away her notebook and supplies and attacked my lips and neck with kisses making me forget why i was here as well, after that calculus was the last thing on our mind.

By far we've been dating for almost 6 months, mid terms were on head, mostly me, Peter, mj and ned spent our time in the Library discussing what update we have over the syllabus, while Wanda was out with her friends, doing whatever she does at this time, lately though she seemed distant, whenever i would approach after school or in the break, she acts she doesn't know me at all, but the moment Everyone is out she's as gushy as before, that baffled me i mean i knew she wanted to keep our relationship secret but now after so many encounters i couldn't help but think she was ashamed of me in some ways…i wouldn't blame her though, I'm just a girl who no one knows about other than the girl who's friends with Peter while Wanda is…. Wanda! There's no comparison between after all, this was eating me inside out, nagging me at the back of my mind 24/7.

I laid curled up in wanda's arms, she stroked my back lazily, any other day i would be blushing like crazy but now my mind was elsewhere, i was so deep in my thoughts that i didn't even notice her stop and pull back, only coming out of my trance when she spoke " y/n/n, are you alright, sweetheart?" I blinked several times looking at her, then blurred out without thinking " Wanda, are you ashamed of me?" Now it was her turn to stare wide eyed at me. " Love, what are you saying? Why would I be ashamed of you?" I just shook my head looking at the mattress, picking at the bedsheet as tears pricked my eyes, "y/n, talk to me, is this because i said i wanted to keep us private?" Her voice was soft, I looked up at her and said "No, no…you know? You seem so distant when i come up to you when you're with your friends, like you don't even know me, i know you want to keep it private and i do respect that, i really do but sometimes i couldn't help but feel like you're ashamed of me" i hung my head down, not being able to keep eye contact, too embarrassed to even look up.

She didn't say anything, hooking a finger under my chin, she tilted my face up to meet hers, a tear rolled down my cheek, tilting her face to the side she kissed me softly and pulled me in her arms, pulling back from the kiss she nuzzled her face next to mind and said "you will never shame me, dragul meu, and i did not mean to hurt you, you know how my friends get towards your group, i want to keep it down because i don't want to lose them or you" i sighed burying my head in her neck i said "I'm sorry, i was being stupid, i should have known you would never do that" she shook her head, pulling me even closer if possible "no, darling, you have every right to feel that and I'm glad you decided tell me, believe me i love you too much to even think of that" she chuckled and i smiled in her embrace, all those wrecked thoughts evaporating in seconds, my heart bouncing and once again my face was red.

That evening she made sure you knew how much she loved you, even deciding that she would not be as subtle as she is now, still keeping it to themselves but she decided there was no harm in showing her lovely girlfriend off either, cuddling together her arms wrapped around yours, legs tangled together with your head on her chest, you smiled with you eyes closed, this was the best feeling you could ever imagine and didn't mind if this would become your forever.

The next day she didn't hesitate to kiss you on your cheek, still a bit hesitant but a big step from before and Wanda couldn't deny, she liked this too, her friends were taken aback but she didn't care, if you were happy she was happy too and that's all that mattered to her.

I just started school again this week from fall break and omg 😭 HORRIBLE I TELL U HORRIBLE. but, it got me thinking, what do u think the tbp boys opinions r on school?

AAAA i’m sorry about school! school literally sucks so bad 😭

I’m just gonna talk about how their opinions on school are after the basement and how their opinions changed (my tumblr is basically a page for my AU now isnt it 😞)

Finney pretty much dislikes school before and after; he likes keeping his grades good but he just hates going because of bullies and the stares he gets after the basement. It makes him feel worse. He likes science the most. He gets annoyed when people call him names but most of the time he doesn’t mind because he just wants to get through school. He goes to the counselor only sometimes.

Robin hates school, and he probably always will. I like to think he has good or at least nice grades in all of his classes except math, and he’s barely passing science. He has dyscalculia, so he feels stupid when it comes to numbers but is afraid to ask for help from anyone besides Finney. He’s in the counselor’s office a lot talking about his thoughts, emotions and personal issues. Robin deals with bullying a bit but of course he isn’t sitting by and taking it. Sometimes stuff is written on his locker also.

Bruce used to love school but now he’s like, indifferent leaning towards disliking it. He still has amazing grades and is probably on high honor roll, but he feels out of place now. He feels like he’s popular but not the way he wants to be. He thinks he missed a lot since he wasn’t there for the beginning of the year, plus he just feels out of place in his usual friend group now. Sometimes he just gets irritated and stays alone. He spaces out in school a lot, which leads to a lot of counselor appointments that he himself didn’t schedule.

Vance hates school more than anything. He barely has friends besides yknow, the others that were in the basement but now he just feels completely outcasted. He was given a chance to move up a grade so he took it, so he’s a freshman when he goes back to school. He had a lot of testing to do though, which luckily he passed. Vance is pretty much on a hair’s trigger now. If someone says ANYTHING about his experiences or the other’s experiences, there’s a high chance he’s gonna come out of that with a suspension or a detention. He manages to keep okay grades though.

Billy liked school kind of. He’s kinda introverted but when he was younger he would hang out with Robin and Finney at school, so it kind of got different when he went missing. He had nice grades and he was kind of social.

Griffin disliked school. He was never talked to and he sat alone every class, every year. If he was in a group assignment, he usually asked the teacher if he could work by himself. But he’s a good kid and had good grades.

Griffin and Billy come as a package deal with a lot of things but especially school after the basement events. They’re pretty much glued together. They both dislike school a lot because of bullies. They have a lot of classes together because of their separation anxiety, which the school knows about. Billy is really sad when he graduates 8th grade and is alone without Griffin for a year. They’re in the counselor’s office a lot or have a teaching assistant take them out of their classes for a bit. It’s not because they want to talk to them and their problems, but to just let them calm down and work in an environment where they aren’t pressured and can just work with each other.

A Date So Bad, I Made A Tumblr Post About It

I'm sorta just listing events from the date off but its not entirely in order, and I most certainly forgot a few details bc it was all so stressful and chaotic

Mostly posting this for myself and my friends to gawk at (hi! 💓)

We met on the hellsite grindr. They're conventionally attractive, a bit odd and confusing through text, but were nice and seemed chill overall. We exchanged socials prior to meeting up and they had no local friends or much online community at all despite living in the area their whole life but I chalked it up to being newly trans.

These were the red flags I shouldn't have ignored, if you're keeping track lmao

I agreed to come to their place and my boyfriend dropped me off

First off I aint judging, but their house was completely empty besides their room even tho they claimed to have roommates and werent moving/recently moved?? unrelated but justa odd vibe and potential red flag lol

They were so erratic from the moment I met them they just kept talking n talking, and were clearly not all there bc I couldn't understand alot of what they were sayin. It made conversation so hard.

We sat on the floor of their bedroom and smoked wii'd

They got very emotional about everything and would like jump up and like grab n shake me by the shoulders to emphasize the shit they were babbling 😭

Throughout the date they gave lil signs that they were a volatile person like they explained how they have had frequent fall outs w friends and family, their exs have called the cops on them on numerous occasions(explained in bits n pieces throughout the date during their semi-coherent rambles), and they had spicy reactions to me, just like, saying anything.

Thoughout the date they said the R word 3 times even after i told them it upset me, both to be funny and because they were mad at someone in their head, they made fun of muslims(amongst many others), told me "i dont go too far left, my political opinions will get me in trouble" and didnt elaborate when I tried gently asking about it.

They asked if I wanted to have sex like 4 times like out of nowhere in different ways and I had to say "Ive told you no 4 times, absolutely not, please stop" and kept pushing questions about my kinks. They also really hammered on how confusing polyamory was and made it clear that they thought it was dumb and funny that I have an asexual partnership w my fiance even though I explained it all to them prior ro meeting. :')

Like 6 times throughout our 4 hour date they made themselves so mad from talking(basically to themselves) about their traumas that they were like yelling at themselves while staring at the ground??

Surprisingly the thing that made me text my boyfriend to pick me up ASAP was they asked me to buy them food like over and over and made me explain why I didn't want to do that it was so creepy and weird and upsetting, ik it sounds dumb but just the way they were saying shit n pushing it really triggered my anxiety 😭

(obviously manipulative voice that i notice immediately): "aw you know I could really go for some icecream but ive been broke recently and i have no food in my fridge"

me, knowing whats coming, already so sick of them: "Ah I feel you I love icecream, and I've been nearly broke recently too"

"..please buy me icecream?"

"uh no im sorry not today"

"please?"

"uuuuh, what? I dont really feel like it i already bought us snacks and i dont have alot of money"

"you said *nearly broke*. Can you please?"

"no"

"why not you have money"

and just kept going and was like asking how much I had in my bank account 😭

i try to ignore my phone when im w people to be respectful so the first time i texted my bf was to get rescued right after they begged me for food money and they just stared at me silently for like 15 seconds while I was texting before angrily saying "Oh so do you talk shit to your boyfriend when your grindr dates aren't going well? Is that it?"

for my safety I had to pretend like I was willing to go on a second date but I blocked her everywhere except grindr before I was even out of her driveway 😭😭

Part of it was absurd and almost-funny, I couldn't believe what was happening at times, but it was also mostly just super stressful. Lots of thoughts n anxiety swirling through my silly kitty brain 😖

Im not judging them for being clearly mentally unwell and I really hope they heal and get help for the stuff they're going through.. but also they were an objectively bad person who I need as far away from me as possible!

for the event im picking toji bcus that man is the love of my life bye ☹️ the epitome of sunshine and sunshine protector - tiny human and big scary guard dog ! in terms of our compatibility, we're so opposite it's insane! but we balance each other out well. sometimes i have to serve as toji's brain bcus this man is spending money he does not have on all sorts of things for me js cause i looked twice (my sister hced that he'd go below bankrupt buying me sanrio plushies and rings) he works mostly off instinct where i go completely off emotion so we butt heads alot in terms of decision making but he does not know how to tell me no, all i do is sigh once and HES DONE FOR.

we acc spend alot of time having deep talks about the world and life in general, (i told him ab the backrooms lore and it messed w his head for weeks) which is a side of him he rarely shows to anyone (also he listens to me rant abt daily pop culture developments bcus he lowkey loves the celebrity drama) he's rlly protective, and even moreso bcus of how my anxiety gets. in a crowd this man is standing in front of me and blocking my view of everyone (he also subconsciously pulls me into his side when we're walking in public bcus my autistic ass will see one thing and wander off never to be found again) im always talking like talk talk talking and he pretends he isn't listening but he's literally able to repeat today something i mentioned two weeks ago - he's attentive, shows his love through actions rather than words. if i even make a face that gives away that im uncomfortable being somewhere, or my social battery is dead, hes taking me home no questions asked not a care as to who says what.

im an affection junkie - physical touch is my thing ! and hes so big! so im always pouncing on him for bear hugs and he acts so unimpressed and cocky abt it like "oh you missed me? im not goin anywhere relax" but he acc melts bcus when was the last time someone gave him affection?? he prob thinks im a figment of his imagination lolol
