I was bitten by the Ace Combat bug, so after finishing AC7 I'm now playing the PS2 games, my thoughts so far

AC4 (finished): "man, I miss having other characters :("

AC5 (playing it rn): "good god, people will not stop yapping"

Hi! I just wanted to know if you'd ever heard of a really fun forcefem game called Crossdressing in Camelot? It's a really well-made one that definitely put some work into cracking my own egg. You play as a "man" who discovers that they have a talent for magic, but oops! the best way to grow stronger magically is to be more feminine! It has some really well-written characters, some fun dialogue and plot, and is free on itch.io!

Never heard of it before and gave it a shot!

It’s quite fun! Though sadly moved a bit too slowly for me personally, I can definitely see the appeal!

I've started playing Potion Permit, and so far it's one of my favorite games I've messed around with, but the most big brained move the devs made was giving you a dog on day 1, and then making that dog able to track NPCs and lead you directly to them no matter where they are in the town.

#im still early game but i like the play and the writing is passable #like #Theres a flatness #the characters Are distinct but theyre mostly just their jobs #with only a few who stand out and have like. something to really grab onto #Like rue? rues entire deal is little girl you can date. Nothing else behind those eyes. She has nothing better to talk to you about #than the fact her favorite color is red #Sorcelia? Sorcelia is a goth nun who loves singing and teaches one of the village children #Reynerd? sure is a guy #got nothing else to say about him. hes just a Guy™. Victor? Has ghost friends and loves bugs and cares deeply about the cemetery #he tends to. At the moment it feels like they're trying to imply there aren't actually ghosts. and hes just talking to himself/#insisting his imaginary friends are real people #and so far? The games been cool about it. Victor's a member of his community and his eccentricities are accepted and not ridiculed #all four characters ive mentioned are romance candidates. but its just as hit or miss with the regular towns folk #Opalheart is an older woman and a world renowned blacksmith who only takes jobs if they will do Good. regardless of whether or not they #pay well. She declines to make a dagger for a rich man but makes a helmet for a childs father bc the girl asked #and olive is here #anyways you can be best friends with a cat (shes just a regular cat) and i appreciate that #idk im putting it above sun haven in my ranking of life sim games #purely because there are older romance candidates.#no fat romance candidates. but sun haven doesn't have thise either.#and sdv has neither fat or old candidates Nor can you fuck a cat boy. it goes at the bottom.#gameplay wise sunhaven is at the bottom then sdv then potion permit at the top. sunhaven has the Most™ but having #a lot of crap doesn't mean its fun and it ends up making half the game feel really incomplete #idk. Sdv is a game you should've started playing a year ago. sun haven is a game that perpetually needs another year worth of updates #before id say its worth it bc the devs keep pushing content ™ updates instead of quality of life or polish so what is there is uh #Bad. plentiful. and a large portion is good #but a Lot is just bad.#its insincere and cant take itself seriously it gives you (the right dialogue option) an (the shit joke option) which is worse than just #i ram out of space. tldr. potion permit is good Now. sdv Was good. sun haven Might be great Eventually

I gotta get back into my new Age of Calamity file (been knitting and playing our second Tears file all the time), 'cause I am still soooo far away from unlocking Kohga and I need to get himmmm again. I mean I could just go in my old file and have him kill some vicious lynels to get my fix or something but. No I want to rebuild My Best Guy and see if I can possibly make him even more Best.

But. I mean.

That would be pretty hard.

(I accept the challenge but I gotta be patient and get through the 'let's destroy the Yiga Clan woohoo!' parts first astfglaslkfjsldfkj. I mean not that I hate those missions, I love fighting Sooga and Kohga as I have said before, and I adore the cutscenes involving them. But I wanna play as them even more, they're just so fun. Also I got sosososo lucky with Kohga's weapon drops last time so hopefully I will again this time too so I can make him an even better Demon Carver. If that's even. Possible. I will do my best! I already thought Unicorn Overlord and Fire Emblem Shadows Of Valentia had similar starting points, but I've only just now realized that the FE rebel army is called the Deliverance while the Unicorn Overlord rebel army is called the Liberation. I'm not crazy those are pretty close right?

Borderlands 4 looks so boring and bland I'm gonna cry

Ok played more veilguard today. The writing is definitely. Hm. Well it's been said plenty by people much more invested in the lore than me. But at the very least, what I Can say, is that the game is Fun. Though I need a front liner desperately. I'm a rogue playing at front liner and I suck at dodging and I keep getting the shit beat out of me. But it's ok I've pulled through 👍 with quick and nimble reflexes and my beloved Potion Stealing Skill.

I'm dragging my barely alive corpse through the mud. I think I posted about reverse 1999 like- 4 months ago. Oops. But if you did play it, thoughts? To be honest, it's a super pretty game. Characters look nice, the animations are fucking great, and I really like the art style. Everything else is pretty fucking meh for me.

I wonder if there are any players who come out of P3 believing Minato/Makoto is the leader of SEES. I know the game tries to really hammer it in, but how do you not see Mitsuru as the actual leader the entire time?

my take is that sonic generations is a good game i like it and its fun to play but it doesnt deserve to be hyped up as one of the best sonic games . sorry.

#i swear its only considered one of the best because classic sonic is in it because the game is just so Nothing #like the gameplay is good but its not enough to make the game stand out and theres not really anything else there that does #the levels arent bad but theyre also not memorable because theyre all taken from existing games #which i KNOW is the whole gimmick of the game. but still.#like when i think of city escape i think of sa2 not generations. when i think of rooftop run i think of unleashed not generations.#and the story feels nonexistent too . maybe not everyone cares about the stories of sonic games but i do #how many people even think about sonic generations ever actually .#i always see people go ''yeah generations is the best 3d game'' but never see people talk about the game other than that #like man maybe some of the more poorly received games are flawed but at least theyre actually memorable #(i say some of and not all because with most of them i can see why they wouldnt be for everybody even if i dont think theyre bad #but i cant see it with unleashed . unleashed is my beautiful perfect son who i am protecting from all criticism)#like generations is a fun play . especially if youre feeling nostalgic . but idk i dont think its one of the best not even close
