Batman: The Audio Adventures is about two things: goofy-ass worldbuilding and villain monologues. That's it, that's the podcast. Funny Gotham public service announcement, followed by a rogue giving a gay little speech while they literally torture somebody to death, rinse and repeat. And it's awesome.

For the route of their beloved favorites, he understands, a brave soul has to venture the unknown and even the wintry deep if it means coming home with the jackpot. So in lieu of cheering her own for that cherished confections, he was willing to let her g--

There was hardly an instant for his hand to acclimate to being emptied of her's as the mere moment the unison between fire and lightning dwindled, life itself was just like no and caught it in the way her ritzy boots attempt to make her fall on her ass once again. "Sheesh Ann!" It's drawn out in a way that just cements the familiarity they hold for each other. Snagging her hand just as she reaches for his, the two of them could once again be caught in a haphazard position that borderlines some dance pose.

"..Uhhhhh huh." He muses, clearly directing the harmless 'told ya so' atmosphere her way. She's too damn lucky she was all giddy about this whole trip. Ryuji wouldn't be out here giving her too much flak on these shoe choices!

Instead the two of them would be virtually connected by the hip once again as the glittering rush of snowfall gentle cascades from the heavens. It was an atmosphere that felt... peaceful, after the hell in a handbasket experience of pilfering the minds of madmen. While his stomach certainly remains a guide where the spicy scented wonders await, part of him just couldn't help but watch the upbeat mood Ann found herself in.

Being met with a jovial set of turquoise and that posed challenge causes him to snort in pure mirth. "As if. This ain't the same wallet that found itself short for that dolphin souvenir, ya know? Thing been doin' about double of the growing as I have!" He couldn't resist boasting, simultaneously hoping that her appetite didn't take that as some wayward challenge. In the end, even their laughter managed to make a cheery ring amidst their usual back and forth.

With a few notes of interest made and soon Ryuji taking the head lead in getting their orders set, naturally a touch of bombastic was made in his actions, causing the stand owner to gently roll their eyes at the two while getting their stuff whipped together after he got the appropriate yen handed over. "C'mawn! You say that like you'd actually end up smacking the dude with bullets before anything else." Ryuji totes in.

"But hey! Knowin' your limits is the first part heading down the badass road. We'll just split the fun in what we nail the best. I--"

"Orderrrrrrrr up!"

Well now. That's one way to make Ryuji double take.

"Damn! That's what I'm callin' some top service!"

Securing those skewers, two fine painted with a spicy coating, while another was well armed in peanut sauce, within his broad hand would draw Ann's selected over, a clear sign that these fingers are too well versed in the art of holding these things.

"C'mon and eat up, should get'cha warmed up a lil more compared to having ya go full on ice cube here." He teases with a lively grin. At the same time, it only prompts him to reaffirm that grip just a bit better upon her hand. Either our some wayward protectiveness or otherwise, the natural heat from his hand fully encompassed her's with a surprising amount of care. Firm, but never rough.

Taking the lead once more, where they'd find themselves situated was one of the many benches that found themselves layered with a flimsy layer of snow. If there's one element in the rulebook of Ryuji that had to be followed, moments like meal time had to be cherished. Sides--

They sounded pretty indecisive about which games to hit up.

"Man, how long has it been since we've even managed to get a good festival time like this in? Feels like the last was a hundred damn years ago at this rate." He dramatically reflects, quite the content whistle following with a Mmmm! Mm! after biting into his meal. "Oh, ohhh yeah, definitely have to head back to this one later.." A dreamy smile follows as the extravaganza for the taste buds was well received.

Even then, there weren't no second thoughts on their current situation at hand (quite literally). If anything it held a natural flare that his rhythm found contentment in accepting. Ann always did just have that magic about her.

"Say. Kinda gives a vibe of ol' hawaii trip, huh? Cept' instead of raining sanddddd.. errr, having sand around. More snow and a full on time of taking a load off. With all-a this 'vacation' experience we built up before, we sure know how to enjoy this stuff better now."

"Ryuji n' Ann gotta be showin' the world how it's done."

Hearing what Ryuji desired to eat first thing was not what she had planned — she'd mainly been aiming for those delicious looking stands with numerous different kinds of sweets and desserts ! Not something meat - related..

“ You can go for your beloved meat, I'm going for those pancakes over there. ” With a nod of her head towards a specific stand, she was more than willing to split up with her companion to satisfy her own desire ; hand releasing the other's. Her hand did suddenly feel colder upon release. Regardless, she wouldn't falter.

However, due to the freezing cold and a previous spilled drink upon the ground, it was quite slippery. One step taken was one too many, already feeling heel of boot being quite treacherous and nearly making her, once more, lose her footing. Ann was quick to take hold of the other's hand again, embarassedly pouting as she mumbled: “ I guess we can go for some skewers first.. ”

His next words were nearly magic, making an enthusiast smile appear upon Ann's lips: “ Are you sure ? I don't want you to spend all your money here. ” Despite her words, she already guided them towards the chicken skewer stalls he had mentioned earlier. “ Oh, lets try out those pralinés and chocolate dipped strawberries next ! ” Digit pointed excitedly to another stall, before pointing at a different stall. “ I definitely want wagashi. ”

Just as what should be expected, Ann mainly is focused upon stalls that are specifically sweets and dessert related, pointing numerous out that she managed to spot so far.

Hearing the mention of party games made her glance over towards the stand that displayed it, numerous stuffed animals being set up that you could win. “ Some of those are cute.. Too bad I suck at those games. ” Even despite her accuracy in the Metaverse being quite good, her actual accuracy was.. less than in the real world. “ Maybe I can win one when I try the fishing ducks game. I'm pretty good at that. ”

Finally reaching the chicken skewer stall after numerous distractions, she'd glance over. “ I'll take one with peanut sauce. ” Because despite her appetite mainly being for sweet things.. a chicken skewer did look and smell good, especially now being in front of the stall.

God I wish I could remember what Oda once said about mothers in One Piece... I can't remember if it was about Luffy's mother in particular or moms in general, but he essentially joked about how you'd have to be A Really Horrible Mother to allow your child to go off and become a pirate (dangerous business no loving mother would allow)

And just... My vague memory of that comment is living in my head right now, because truly, if Crocodile somehow is Luffy's mom, truly nothing would make him a worse mom than

gun feeling guilty about being the reason cher goes through all the complicated implications of their relationship (his own sexuality, reconciling with his feelings for tian, what other people think of them, etc.) but being so determined to be happy and knowing in his heart of hearts that cher loves him back that he would never willfully leave cher for "his sake" is easily my favorite thing about him. after his initial hesitation, he never wavers in his belief that what they have is real and right.

to me that is so much more powerful and interesting than 'i love him so much i have to let him go, if he finds someone else that'd be fine.' (sorry, cher! at least your intent was always to come back no matter what, i'll forgive you.) because he knows, he's known it long before cher himself said it, that cher loves him and he knows that means that the best thing for cher is for them to be together.

because that's what love is for him: it's about being there for each other through everything, knowing that neither of them could possibly be happier with anyone else no matter the struggles. husband shit.

as long as he still loves gun, cher's going to be happiest with him. for most of the series, he's still insecure that cher could change his mind at any time (😭😭😭 baby chill that boy is locked in for life 😭😭😭😭😭), but he doesn't let it make him let go of cher.

need need NEED to emphasize that constantine's primary big bad skillset is psychological warfare, verbal assault, and strategically leading people to their demise at the hands of other things. his murder charges aren't because he actually physically killed anyone, the first was the most normal explanation for the newcastle incident and the second was him being framed. physical violence is not his thing, killing is not his thing, spilling any blood that isn't his or isn't strictly, strictly necessary to spill is not his thing, and he will, more likely than not, get sick if he has to do it!!
