I like to think Cass and Leo would get along well after a while! Casey grew up in a cult clan that views emotions as weakness, and weakness can get you killed. Leo learned to hide his own emotions so as not to worry anyone, and instead bases his personality around their two biggest TV idols. Their masks are near flawless, built up from years of practice, but it's a lot easier to see through a mask when you have one of your own...

Also, a bit about COI Cass: She had parents as a little child that treated her as such. She was read fantasy books and was fascinated with adventures and knights and dragons. Then those parents died, and she was brought into the Foot to be a soldier. There, she was taught that dragons were ruthless monsters that deserved to be extinct. The fact that in The Lightning Thief, Percy has a nightmare where he's in a straitjacket and being forced to take a standardized test, the teacher asking him saying come on he's not stupid is he and his POV confirms he's either had this nightmare a million times before or nightmares like this...and Rick nowadays just writes Percy exactly like what the teacher asked he is: stupid, and has other characters constantly doubt him in his ability to be smart and do anything, including his own girlfriend, like...

Dovetail and Reedsnap are...unconventional mates to say the least. Reedsnap always wanted to continue her legacy, evidence that she was here that would continue on for moons to come. Dovetail was the unassuming tom who just so happened to be at the perfect place at the perfect time for her to decide that he would be the father of said kits.

Despite a bit of an abrupt proposal, Dovetail had humoured the spitfire and the two genuinely enjoy the company of each other (even if they don't always see eye to eye).

Dovetail is level headed, laid back, with his head in the clouds. Reedsnap is blunt, ambitious, and opinionated. An odd mix but one that works for them, stepping in when the other either needs defending or to be told to calm down.
