OKAY.)#but honestly though i did expect Gem to hold a grudge over the 2v1 in SL. and. its good that there are consequences???#it IS a ‘betrayal’ in Gem’s eyes. they were friends. they were murder besties for the last two sessions and then Pearl chose Scar over her #and its awesome man. [through gritted teeth] this is awesome man this will be good for character development ok ok ok. ok?#its also got something to do with Pearl having the red creep in. i think #because during SL Gem was like. nearly idolising the Scarlet Pearl persona while vaguely aware that her own reputation has a similar effect #and yknow. the horrors. the fact that their image is so heavily built on what others deem them to be and they can only play into it #but by the end of SL Gem gets ‘betrayed’ by this persona that she looked up to #and also her own ‘GeminiSlay’ intimidating image is also starting to fall apart. partly of her own will #and now shes watching Pearl slowly turn red again. and this time she knows its not good for her or Pearl #so shes distancing herself from it. shes ‘trying to fix her reputation’. she sees Pearl falling into it again and just. no. i dont love you #you betrayed me last season #but on Pearl’s end of things she’s already deep into the idea that as long as you say you ‘forgive’ someone then everything thats happened #in the past doesn’t matter and they can all be friends. and nooo absolutely no grudges will be held. no emotional repression here #so. because thats happened to her in her own team she thinks the same can happen with her and Gem #and thats so. im going to blow myself up now

played dragon age 2...just simple scribbles

#dragon age tag #i doubt that will see much use again..but who knows. vvv rambling below #weird game..the characters dialogue stuff and ending were good tho :')#i've played some of the first game but it kept crashing. i knew already despite knowing nothing that this guy was going to be my type #it doesnt feel right making video game art any more bc games like this end up feeling really personal - an experience that happened to me #if i design the main character a bit and fall in love then..that happened to me..i can't make Fan Art of that..only ive been through that..#like i cant make fanart of my dear companions in bg3 despite it having been a huge part of my heart in the last year #almost 1000 hours of playtime in something i can barely talk about bc it means too much.... lol #tons of ideas and conversations and extra thoughts and scenes and emotions about all the incredible times i've been through in bg3 #and the maelstrom just rotates around intensely in my own heart forever...but that's ok too...that is so precious to me #but fortunately i already knew people that have played this game and talked/drew abt it recently so it was saved from that for me #sharing scribbly fanart on my Blog is a way to capture the feeling just after experiencing something so it has good points #witch hat atelier escapes that by not being a GAME. games are so immersive. but my wha art & feelings are incredibly immersive too #which makes it difficult sometimes now. i live a complicated and emotional life <3 i am not suited to fandom <3 #my character ended up looking so much like oru without me realising that's what i was doing. Kind bearded fireball throwing gay mage. Hmm.#falling for a sad white hair memory trauma fellow that keeps you at a tragic distance. Hmmmmmm.#i see also how very much bg3 is inspired by stuff like dragon age now lol so i'm glad i experienced it. I WANT MY KIRKWALL LIFE BACK...#so dated though as well and unpleasant at times (the city and the dismal atmosphere was depressing.) i hate violence/horror..#bg3 is SOOOO very dismal but it feels like I am killing people and going through horrors because i have to survive i have to be free #Well anyway. ahh it's so refreshing to fall in love. my gay journey continues...

honestly, maybe it's a hot take or whatever, but I think that tearing down the veil and *potentially* bringing back the immortality to the elves would not have helped them a lot

#like ok i'm not 100% sure that tearing down the veil would even make them immortal again #bc the problem is that the elves of today are so far distanced from the ones is solas's time i don't know how that would even work #or maybe i'm stupid and missing context clues but whatever #but like what service would that *actually* do to the elves?#it won't bring their erased history back #it won't suddenly break all the chains of the ensalved elves #or give better quality of life to those in the alienages #bc take fucking tevinter #yeah if suddenly all enslaved elves became mages it sure would help them #but their enslavers are ALSO mages #who had way more training and years of practice #and then the ones in the south #if they suddenly all became mages #what would stop the templars of jus rounding everyone up and committing a genocide?#what would stop the ruler of orlais of burning the alienages again #like waht gets to me is that #the current situation of elves in thedas is a political problem #that needs to be solved through that #through rebellion through changing the status quo #to pushing for political powers to protect their elven citizes #not through magical means #bc that time is gone #and the dalish and the city elves have SUCH different cultures #than the ones of the first elves #that like...what would they gain?#solas could have spent his time actively encouraging all elves in thedas to rebel #to break their chains and rise up against their masters #but instead he's choosing to risk literally everyone's lives bc of HIS regrets #like he is only thinking of the past and of himself and of the people of his time #the way he treats the dalish is a good example of that

I've been seeing a bunch of people adding disclaimers to their billford posts clarifying that they have critical thinking skills about abuse and abusive relationships, and I 100% understand that impulse. When I first made this blog I added disclaimers like that onto nearly everything. But, if it makes the folks adding those disclaimers feel any better: after I stopped writing essays trying to prevent people from taking my billford posts in bad faith, absolutely no one got mad at me in my inbox or on any of my posts, and I've been posting about billford for years now. In my experience the majority of people who are uncomfy with this ship nowadays will simply block and move on. Some folks will disagree no matter how many disclaimers you add, and that's ok

#godsrambles #another thing i realized once i started engaging with this ship is that literally everyone who was still posting in the tag-#-DOES have an extremely nuanced understanding of their relationship and has plenty of critical thinking skills #i feel shitty for ever needing to have a realization about that in the first place tbh!#but i get that when youre surrounded by people saying 'ugh how can people not realize how awful it was in canon' you can get worried about-#-people assuming the same of you unless you loudly announce 'i have critical thinking skills i prommy:(' on every post #just wanted to say. hey. listen. its ok. its ok to join in wholeheartedly #the hypothetical no reading comprehension billford shippers youre worried about? practically nonexistent #youre also kinda shitting on the very people who would love to talk about their dynamic with you when you try to distance yourself from them #which i very much dont mean in a 'how dare you' kind of way #i just mean it in a 'ive been there and believe me youll be so much less stressed if you let yourself post for the audience-#-who will already assume good faith on your posts instead of posting for the audience who will most likely just block you anyway
