In the future, despite Spite's best efforts to prevent it, Lucanis does die. I'm going to imagine it was, well not happy, but unusual for a Crow in that Lucanis dies of old age and with a large family, either shortly before or shortly after losing their beloved Rook.

Spite has a choice at that point. They can return to the Fade and be a spirit once more.

Or, when they started noticing Lucanis's hair turning gray, as Spite remembered Emmerich's passing, Spite spoke to Mourn Watch Rook. Rook put together a skeleton just for Spite with amethysts for the eyes of the skull that Spite chose and special connections for their joints so they're more durable than the average skeleton. Spite did pout that Rook refused to just let them have dibs on their or Lucanis's skulls.

Spite hanging out in the Grand Necropolis with Manfred, two spirits piloting skeletons and living their best lives, Manfred as a professor or librarian and Spite as a general trouble maker and guardian of the Necropolis. Spite possibly leads the Skeleton Guard and will not allow a single Venatori to get past him. Rook and Lucanis's descendants visit sometimes and call Spite "Grandpa" and Manfred "Uncle". At least one of Lucanis and Rook's descendants asks Grandpa Spite if they can have fire. Spite says yes every time. The longsuffering parent/guardian of the one asking for fire says no. Spite tells the parent/guardian they sound like Lucanis. The descendant always considers that a compliment. It is not a compliment.

If Lucanis died first, Mourn Watch Rook 100% stole his body and got it to Nevarra where his skull would be preserved and kept next to her skull. If Rook died first, they already made arrangements with the Mourn Watch and the Mourn Watch absolutely stole Lucanis's body from the crematorium and got it back to Nevarra. Both of their bodies would be used for the memorial garden. Sometimes Spite finds a corpse whisperer and bugs them into pulling Rook and Lucanis's spirits back into their skulls so he can talk to them for awhile. Whether that is angsty or happy is up to you.

Also my personal headcanon that if Spite cares enough to pick pronouns, he'll use Lucanis's pronouns, otherwise Spite's pronouns are eff off/eff you.

Wait do people actually think the ending of ii 17 is bad? Guys not only is it not the finale but erm... I like it. I actually really like it. Sure it's tragic and anticlimactic but that doesn't make it bad. To me. If this is the end of ii (which honestly I doubt) I think it's a solid ending. It doesn't feel unfinished or rushed or anything. Just cause something is open ended doesn't mean it's bad. I like that it's tragic. I like that I felt my stomach drop when the credits started rolling. Oh waiter more internal agony please ‼️‼️

The way people keep criticising the buddie fandom as delusional for seeing things in the show and are pretending that writing and editing and camera angles and costuming isn’t made up of intentional choices

Like you guys do realise there are wholeass departments of people doing things on purpose here right? Like clothes aren’t decided by eh this looks good enough🤷🏽‍♀️ cameras don’t pan places just for funsies, scripts and scenes aren’t included just because🤷🏽‍♀️

Like shipping aside, like that’s just how shows/movies work like it’s all preplanned and intentional

like I beg some of these fans before they hop on acting like everyone is crazy, to just spend a few minutes looking at how some costume departments explain their intentions for specific clothes or camera crews/editing departments talk about why they use certain angles or shots, or writers explain why tiny moments seasons ago sometimes are preplanned and crafted

I just went through pretty much every post of @on-leatheredwings regarding batfam and wow. I love your every single post but Tim? I never knew masochist Tim is just what i needed.

I love Tim as yandere. Imagine the devotion, the false sense of upper hand his submission gives you. He can surrender his body and mind to you in bed but he is always the one in charge. Before you know it he will have you completely trapped in his spiderweb. And the worst part is you can’t even blame him because he has the power of making you think you are the one crossing boundaries and you are the one that is taking advantage of him.

It could be so scary if you are stuck in this relationship but to the outside? Absolutely fascinating to watch him run in circles making sure the webs hold tight and are secure while darling remains unaware they just signed a deal with the devil. They won’t understand until the last moment how unhealthy and how obsessed Tim truly is. Or maybe they won’t see it at all, comfortable in the bed of lies their lover made them.

I see Tim as being dependent on his darling, not as much as Jason would be and definitely not as clingy as Dick. But if they are his obsession then he would see them as part of him or he will desire to become a part of them. I could see him committing small acts of love that are dangerously close to counting as acts of cannibalism. The darling may even start wondering if he is not a vampire feeding on their flesh for the numerous occasions he would sink his teeth into their skin, breaking it and sucking on the blood flowing from the wound. The idea of permanently becoming one through consumption of the other may arouse him but he will never resolve to it. He loves pain his darling gives him but he won’t hurt them, he loves them too much to be able to hear their screams and not do everything in his power to help them.

In a case darling died Tim would be tempted to consume them. To always carry a part of them with him. To be as close to them as no one was ever allowed to be before. If he goes along with it, depends on how darling died and how far in his obsession he already is. Or if he has his family to pick him up after their death.

i made the joke earlier about how steddyhands fans tend to like edstede the least of all the pairs, and i just wanted to elaborate bc actually i do have more to say about this

when i first watched the show i didn't really participate in the fandom (so i don't know pre-s2 fandom drama), i was neutral about izzy and i suppose i liked edstede the most simply by default. in general in season 1 i thought their relationship was charming back when the show was still firmly in the realm of a comedy. then s2 happened...

i wouldn't say that s2 ruined edstede for me permanently because i still like them, but i will say that it definitely reshaped how i see their relationship. suddenly their relationship was stagnant, going in circles, and generally starting to feel more like active bad influences on each other. which is wild considering how in s1 the whole crux of it was that stede and ed were actively making each other more authentic people. i will say though that i personally feel the reason edstede fell flat to me in s2 was mostly due to ed's behavior and the way stede overlooks it. ed's behavior in s2 will always be one of my biggest complaints of s2 (the rest of the issues are more technical).

recently i've seen the opinion that edstede are now MORE problematic than edizzy, which i don't exactly agree with. i agree with the sentiment that with all the developments in s2 edstede feels worse, but i think that has more to do with the fact that their relationship issues are far more tangible to the majority of the audience. with edizzy their issues stem from an intense bond forged by a deep codependence that is pushed to extremes. simply put their dynamic is rare. (i want to quickly note that this doesn’t make their relationship better narratively; there’s a space for both in story telling and both are equally valuable.) edstede's issues on the other hand are more grounded, to the point where most people have experienced some level of their conflicts in their life whether that be firsthand or secondhand. so it's not that their problems are worse so much as more people have stronger reactions because they can relate directly. not saying people don't relate to edizzy, it's more about the scale to which people relate.

my famous example is breaking bad (spoilers for a decade-old series) but i think one of the reasons people hate skylar so much more than walt (besides the obvious misogyny) is that they can relate to the anger of being cheated on while it's harder to relate to the feeling of your husband secretly being a drug lord. like sure his thing on paper is ten times worse but audiences usually relate strongly to the things they personally relate to.

edizzy will always be worse on paper (the toe incident alone makes sure of that) but edstede now feels worse is what i'm getting at. and sure i know izzy emotionally matured leaps and bounds in s2 but unfortunately that doesn't fix edizzy. in order for it to actually be a healthy relationship they both need to grow, so yeah they're still firmly in the toxi yuri category.

anyway i actually do like them a whole lot, but they also make me angry on izzy and the crew's behalf. and on a personal level, i just tend to prefer non-canon ships because i feel like i have more wiggle room. that and if they're canon i'm usually satisfied with that canon so i don't find myself hyper-fixating as much. hence why i didn't really get into the fandom after s1, despite liking the show more at that point.

this is just my observation but i think a lot of the reasons people are now drifting from edstede and into the safety of non-canon ships is simply because s2 stripped their relationship of some of their whimsy. a lot of people are angry with ed and stede and are seeking refugee amongst ships that don’t feel like they have to confront the glaring holes in their relationship.

but these are just my musings i don’t speak for anyone but myself.

Thinking about tinyformer prowl hrghr. The little mech is a new addition to the police division. He’s small — just the size of a mech’s servo — and despite his size, he’s quite the swift thinker. Though, that doesn’t mean they’d form some kind of respect for it. In fact, they adore bullying the little stuck up bot. Rewarding him by smearing his little face with Transfluid after a solved case, nudge his swollen belly as they pump his valve full of transfluids using those eye droplets squeezers, dropping the tiny bot on exposed spikes and watch him as he flails and grab onto the spikes for leverage,,,,

Then after, their little detective wakes up soft and warm in a bundle of blankets, ready for another case to solve

ouuuuu yessss all the officers love to play with their little Prowl, he's so adorable when he scrambles on their spikes or gulps down heavy drops of transfluid. they take good care of him though, he's their little man, no one else's, every night be sleeps soundly tucked in his little bed, doted on by his colleagues<3
