ivan sighs while you situate yourself on the sofa beside him. his room is pitch dark, save for the light from the tv broadcast.

mindless advertisements and commercials mix and buzz into the air, creating a fog of background noise. and you wonder whose poor soul is getting killed on that stage at this very moment.

you spread your arm and dramatically bring him into a side hug. "nothing a bit of booze won't fix. ha ha ha!!" exclaiming with the vigor of an alcoholic, ivan can only groan in frustration.

"i'm not getting wasted with you." his eyes look worn down, mouth wrinkling into a frown as he tries to hide the agony behind a stone cold face.

a part of him is comforted by your presence, a sense of normality washes over him. as if you two were still children playing across the fake fields and staring at the equally as fake sky, laughing as you tackled each other to the ground and picked flowers.

"too late, i brought the good shit." you snicker as you bring out weird looking bottles. you're not exactly sure how safe these are for humans but the aliens seem to love it so, who cares? "this was hard to steal by the way, i got it from those private rooms."

ivan stares at you for a moment and eventually rests his head on your shoulder. he looks at you, cold ice wall melting down and you're met with the sight of absolute pain and distress on his pretty face when he sighs.

"why does it have to feel like this?" he whispers, voice cracking from the amount of vocal training and warmups he's been forced to endure that day.

you take a deep breath and open a bottle, careful with your movements as his heavy head rested on your arm. "what? wanna runaway? you know i wouldn't hesitate if you asked." chuckling as you tried reading the labels.

ivan knows though. you're the closest thing he's got to a friend. you'd do anything for him and with him. and of course he'd do the same but... you're not the person he holds nearest to his heart.

"it's funny," he watches as you sniff the alcoholic aroma before taking a sip. "no matter how much they make us do these—things, no matter how much it hurts... why is this thing in my chest more painful?"

your face falls blank, glaring at the bottle before taking a big chug. you hope it'll get rid of your own pain, wash away all the emotions and feelings of him.

and its funny. because what kind of weird fucking love hexagon is this?

you despise till.

you wish you could tear his bones out and wear his skin, take out his tongue and say all the things ivan has always wanted to hear and keep his heart for your own.

"i wish i knew the answer to that."

looking down at him and seeing his exhausted face, makes your heart break. you want to gather yours and his shattered pieces and construct a deformed statue of love and just hope it'll be enough for him. enough to replace the burning loneliness he's been forced to go through.

but no. even if he were to love you, it'd take a million years to pass, thousands of stars to die, and hundreds of planets to explode until then.

you bump your forehead into his and watch as his eyes widen. smirking to yourself, you think, what more could i lose?

"let's be lonely together then. just this once."

Max was jealous to start off with there was a connection between you and your partner -Luca- but that was just something that he learned to deal with over time. He started to understand that you put your life in Luca’s hands every time you stepped out onto that ice. If Luca dropped you wrong or if you fell wrong, that could be everything over for you, and he learned to accept that.

Everyone had warned you about not falling in love with your partner, and that was never exactly a problem. You tried it once, but the connection wasn’t a dating connection. It was a trust connection. 

Finally, your competitions and Max’s races finally lined up - Miami - it allowed you to visit a race, and Max visited one of your competitions. Luca decided to join you because there was nothing better to do. 

Walking into the paddock laughing with Luca, Max passed you with a couple of members of the Red Bull team. He reached his hand out, and you took it. He pulled you forward with a smile. His arms wrapped around your neck to hold you close. One hand sliding down your back and into the pocket of your jeans 

“What are you doing, Max?” You whispered, looking up at him. 

“I think it’s about time we share all of our relationship with the world and not just the part we were planning on” Max replied, and you looked up at him, eyes wide. 

“You want to go public more than just dating?” You asked as he took a step back 

“Yeah, I left a little surprise in your back pocket. GP and Rupert are waiting for you in the garage. They’ll get you both sorted” Max walked away, and you turned back to Luca and started walking. Your hand reaches into your back pocket to see what Max had left in there. Your engagement ring.

Max had proposed a few months ago, but everything about your relationship was private. Only people close to you knew about it. 

“You’re doing that today?” Luca exclaimed, hand resting on your lower back as he led you into the Red Bull garage. Slipping the ring onto your left ring finger, you nodded 

“Max decided it was time, and if he’s ready, then we’re doing it because I’ve been ready for months” You smiled. GP greeted you with a hug as the SKY TV and F1TV cameras panned into the garage. Luca and yourself showing up on the TV with your names written in the bottom of the screen as Rupert handed you both a pair of headphones connected to the radios that also block out the noise for when the race starts. 

Luca’s hand stayed protectively on your lower back until Max came back into the garage. Max wrapped an arm around your shoulder, pressing a kiss to your head with a smile 

“I need to go get ready. I’ll see you before I get into the car” Max explained

“Luca make sure she’s safe” Luca nodded

“Obviously, wouldn’t let anyone or anything hurt her” Max hummed in response to Luca and walked away to his driver's room. Luca and yourself walked over to the VIP corner bit they had and sat down. 

It felt like forever until Max kissed you before getting in the car watching the race in person was terrifying. Max made his way up the grid from P9 to P1, also setting the fastest lap. His trainer walked over after the race 

“I’ll take you down to the podium Y/N. Luca, you coming?” He asked as you got up 

“Made a promise I’d keep her safe so I’m coming” Luca laughed. Luca’s hand rested on your waist you kinda leaned into him as Rupert led you both down to the podium. Surprisingly, even while being in the public, eye crowds were the worst thing you’d ever come across. 

Standing at the front of the barrier, when Max got out of his car, he jumped into the arms of his team before moving along to greet you. His hands rested on your jaw as he leaned forward and kissed you. You smiled into the kiss before he pulled back 

“You did so great love” You smiled, holding his hand 

“I’m so glad you’ve finally been able to come to a race” He smiled 

“You get weighed and that trophy so we can celebrate later” You pushed him away as he laughed turning to the podium before you knew it the Dutch anthem was playing through the speakers the team cheering for Max and Checo during the Austrian anthem. Walking back to the garage, cameras were now focused on you and Luca after your helmet kiss with Max. 

Getting into the garage, Max pulled you into a sweaty champagne covered kiss one with true meaning this time. Your hands wrapped around his neck as his rested around your waist, pulling you closer to him 

“Looks like we’re both winners here” He pulled away, referring back to you and Luca winning your competition the other day. Winning felt great, but nothing would ever feel better than being able to be in public with Max sharing how much you truly love him with the world.

A/N : I might write a part two if anyone's interested in it. My only problem is that I know nothing about ice skating and only had this idea from the movie I was watching. But if it's requested, I'll do it.

We often say children aren’t born hateful, they’re taught hate, and this is one of the best examples of that.

A public library in Denmark put on a drag show for kids. The performers made these wonderful princess dresses for the occasion.

And of course hateful people protested outside. But when I saw the protestors I could tell they were about the same age as me which meant they’ve been watching a “drag show for kids” their whole fucking childhood. May I present Vera.

She’s a cleaning lady played by a male actor. Her makeup looks like that because that was the stereotypical look for lower class women at the time. She started out as a background character who’d claim to know all sorts of famous people because she cleaned their house and people loved her so much she eventually got her own show.

And like, she looks like a drag queen character. I’ve seen drag queens with personas very close to this. Vera’s style of comedy was even very close to that sort of funny drag. A low class woman who acts feminine and then randomly does something like fix a wedgie.

And that’s definitely not lost on the younger generation. Just check out Ivan’s cosplay of her (LINK)

And most countries have their own version of this and you just want to ask them “Remember this character from your childhood? The man in drag, yes. Please share the horrible trauma you apparently got from watching them on tv”

I think it's very interesting that, during Round 2, Till was able to get away with killing an alien on a live Alien TV show. Sure, the alien guitar was probably low on the totem pole when it comes to importance, but it was living being (it had organs/blood) and, presumedly, a measure of sentience.

Humans are considered pets here. Alien Stage rounds are practically the equivalent of a galactically broadcast, legal, non-violent dog fights. This is like one of those dogs turning around and instead of fighting each other, they bit their owner. And it shows in the reactions of the aliens in the audience.

They are super shocked and disturbed by this display. By the expression on Till's face you can tell he didn't think of his actions like a declaration of war from a human rebel. He was acting like he destroyed an inanimate object to emphasize his point, not killed a member of a group that made him a human slave.

It also intrigues me how the alien guards act towards the contestants as the Rounds go on. In Round 2, Till is able to both kill an alien and defeat his opponent before the guards beat and restrain him.

In Round 5, Mizi is able to choke/punch Luka in the face repeatably before the guards intervene. And since they interfered before the Round was over, you can see visibly from their body language that they are unsure of how to proceed. Do they shoot and kill her for instigating a fight, even though she hasn't finished her song and so hasn't officially lost her Round yet? Thanks to their dallying, the human resistance has time to swoop in and rescue her from that fate.

In Round 6, Ivan kisses then proceeds to "strangle" his competitor, much like how Mizi did to Luka (but not really because Ivan doesn't want Till to get hurt, unlike Mizi with Luka). There still seems to be a delay from when Ivan starts "attacking" Till to when the security actually starts shooting at him. And the two first hits look more like warning shots than anything, especially since one hit him in the shoulder. It wasn't until the third shot that the damage was severe enough for him to bleed from the mouth. That means they gave him two chances to backpedal and cease his violence before deciding he needed to be put down.

So, what was my point with all of this? Probably just to emphasize that if Alien Stage is indicative of how the general alien population would act towards humans, then they are clearly unprepared to deal with the human uprising the news hinted at.

It's stated in the wiki that the Alien Stage that we are currently watching is the 50th iteration of the show. Had none of the previous human performers ever rebelled in the slightest? Because the guards were obviously unprepared for all three acts of violence that occurred in the Rounds. There was no established procedure in place to deal with outbursts from the contestants.

The injuries heal, but he never comes back the same 🤔

During the Victorian period, a certain Russian planned to meet with a certain American for a special private meeting to do some secret private business. In simple terms, it was a long-distance booty call. Ivan didn't want to leave any evidence of his whereabouts, so he traveled on foot. Big mistake. The man froze to death after swimming across the entire ocean for a piece of ass. Despite his death ruining the booty call, Alfred did think Ivan dying for him was incredibly romantic. SCORE!

China: Total organ failure from poisoning

An old fling poisoned his tea in a furious act of revenge. China didn't even flinch, even as his organs were shutting down. Not like MODERN nations, who cry at the slightest fatal wound! No, he finished the meeting, watching carefully, until he spotted that MANWHORE Luo with a face like he was nervously expecting something. He bided his time until the last moment, then pointed dramatically at the culprit just before collapsing, dead. That bitch got accused of being an evil spirit AND an assassin. HA! He was fucking terrible at sex, too...

Channel 453 -Shadows of the Game- (Visual Novel)

Genre: Horror/Romance

The unfortunate thing about this one is that while the artwork is gorgeous, the UI looks great and it's a time loop story, it starts to stop making sense after a while. I'm not sure if it's because of the translation or story itself, but either way it unfortunately makes the visual novel pretty confusing and in a way that's not very fun.

The story starts out with the main character moving into a new apartment. She seems so excited, but is tired from the move. After getting into their apartment, they find a note on their TV mentioning channel 453, something that they are curious about. They can have the choice to go to this channel out of curiosity, or watch their normal channels. Upon going to this channel, the MC sees a young man there who introduces himself as Liotte. He starts talking to the MC, which makes them a bit unsettled considering it's not every day that you talk to someone inside of the TV. After some chatting, the MC goes to make herself some instant ramen but ends up cutting herself while opening one of the packages. Liotte notices this and gets really freaked out and possessive, stating that this should have never happened. This leads to them causing a time loop (?) and them going back in time a couple of times. Eventually, the MC shuts off the TV, leading to a strange man named Ivan to appear in her house. Ivan talks about how he gives wishes and that Liotte made a wish that caused him to be like this. He ends up teleporting the MC into the backstage where we learn bits of his backstory, like how he knew the MC from when she was younger. It's implied that he made a deal with the devil (which I think in this case is Ivan) for him to be together, with the curse of them essentially being stuck in a timeloop.

The good ending has it so that the two of them get together, while the other two endings have him sad that he isn't with the MC, or at least she doesn't reciprocate his feelings as much.

The artwork and UI in this one are genuinely very pretty, with a lot of work done in on making it look nice. The video effects for when Liotte freaks out and asks the player if he's the worst are nice, as well as the video that plays when they're placed into a timeloop. UI, again, also extremely pretty and well placed.

That said, after the entire incident with the cutting her hand on a noodle packet, everything becomes very confusing very fast. Loitte becomes suddenly very hostile towards the MC, wanting to cage her and trying to get her to rely on him, while also talking about how they met each other in the past? I don't really understand what is going on after this point, and I'm not sure if it's because of a translation thing since the original game was in Korean or if it more or less plays out like it was in the original and the game is pretty accurate to it's English counterpart, but either way, I genuinely have no idea what happened after that point, and lot of it was guess work. Ivan appears in our house for no reason, and seems to know about Loitte's history. From what I can tell he seems to be the god/devil that made the initial deal with Loitte in the first place, though he seems more like a trickster if anything. I'm not sure what even caused the good ending considering that I think the only major difference is that we talked to Loitte a little bit more about his hobbies. Normally I think timeloop stories are pretty good since I like the way that people use them to sort of show the deterioration of a yandere's psyche, but this one... was just confusing. I can't even tell if the MC remembers what happens during the time loops because in some instances it seems like she does while in others she doesn't, with no reason or rhyme. I also don't know if it affects anything, since it doesn't seem like time is really affected, given that it doesn't seem like the MC goes back to before she bought the apartment or even before she made herself instant noodles.

It's hard to say because I really don't understand what's happening and I don't know what the reason is behind that, whether it's a translation thing or if this is actually what it's giving us. Either way, as of now, I don't really know how to feel about it because again, I don't really understand. It certainly has good presentation as stated from before, and Loitte's design is pretty cute, but story wise, nothing really makes any sense. Hopefully, this can be changed in the future, but for now, I think the presentation is really what is holding this game up for me.

Knocking stuff off counters would also work crazy well on him. As soon as you do that, he's running over and desperately cleaning everything up. You've got his full attention. First, he'll ask if you're ok, and then he'll get pissed. He promises to “punish” you later too...

(By “punishment,” he means he's gonna make you watch his terrible nerd shows.)

If you tried laying on him to get him to stay, he's just pushing you off. If he's in a particularly affectionate mood, he'll stay for a few more moments, but generally, you're just gonna end up on the floor. He's got stuff to do!

Canada

Matthew just... really doesn't know how to handle your affection. He hasn't had any romantic partners in a long time, so his only real reference for modern love is TV shows. And... they definitely don't act like cats in those. Are you weird, or is he?

He'll be super awkwardly accepting of it. Ok, you're curled up in his lap... so he pets your hair, right? When he wakes up to you laid flat over his body like a blanket, he just... doesn't know what to do. Where does he put his hand? Does he push you off?

Eventually, he'll get it. Then he's gonna go full cat owner mode. Constantly checking in with you, making sure you're always entertained, and cuddling you constantly.

He doesn't appreciate you breaking things to get his attention though... like, he's always willing to give it to you! No questions asked! You don't have to go to such drastic measures to get a hug.

If you flop on his lap when he's about to get up, he's just gonna accept his fate. You'll get no protests from him. Just... let him know when you're done, k?

Russia

Ivan doesn't even question anything you do. He just finds your cat-like behaviours super cute! It just makes him want to indulge you more.

Whenever you force him to continue cuddling, he just laughs and concedes. He's never had such a clingy S/O, and it makes him want to protect you even more.

However, this kind of thing does make him infantilize you even more. But on the bright side, expect him to buy you lots of cute clothes and build pillow forts for you two often (He might buy you a collar too ;)

He really doesn't mind you biting him. Once he knows you're alright with it, he'll probably bite you back! It's a weird point of pride for him to be covered in your little teeth marks.

Surprisingly, he also doesn't mind you breaking things to get his attention! He finds it... oddly romantic. Like, oh, you care about me enough to cause damage to things? Wow, you're so dedicated! (He has... problems.)

Basically, a S/O that acts like a cat would be great. He's such a dog boyfriend anyway.

England

Arthur doesn't see this as “acting like a cat” as much as he sees it as “immaturity.” Surprisingly, unlike how he feels normally about childish S/O, your behaviour could really grow on him. Of course, he'll always huff and sigh when you rub yourself against his arm anyway, but still!

He WILL get very annoyed by you sitting on his lap while he's busy though. Like, if he's just reading, whatever. But if you interrupt him when he's about to do something, he's just forcing you off his lap and walking away.

Also, do NOT break his glasses. Pissing him off like that will only make him ignore you more. Besides, if you wanted a super attentive partner, you really shouldn't go for Arthur anyway.

But despite all that, he really adores your habit of biting him. As long as it's not too painful, he does get a kick out of it, weirdly. When he bites you, it's always in a more... sensual way, but he adores how you do it so affectionately.

Basically, yeah, he thinks you're cute. But it's easy for you to get on his nerves if you act like that.

America

Alfred... doesn't really mind. But he thinks it's more entertaining than cute. He definitely realizes what you're doing early on in the relationship, and loves to tease you about it.

But... he also can't help the urge to take care of you because of it. He makes sure to always leave cute little snacks in your bag in case of emergency, and he NEVER misses a call from you. He gets a little paranoid about you getting taken advantage of because of how immature you can be.

You can bite him. He probably wouldn't even notice you did so.

However you show affection, he'll reciprocate. He's not much into the headbutting thing himself, he's a lot more uh... traditional? But he loves it when you do it!

He has to resist squeezing your cheeks every day that he wakes up next to you. It keeps getting harder.

You pushing stuff off every surface doesn't make him mad per se, but he definitely doesn't enjoy that habit. (Specifically, he would buy a bell that means you want attention. It's much cuter that way, and also you aren't breaking his things.)

It's really interesting how pretty much every imaginary friend was created for a certain purpose.

Wilt was created to help Jordan get better at basketball.

Coco was created to help the little girl stranded on that deserted island after the plane crash keep her sanity (and to lay eggs containing anything if she ever needed something).

Eduardo was created to protect Nina from bullies while also being a playmate for her and her baby brother.

Bloo was created to be a companion for a lonely three-year-old Mac as a replacement for his security blanket his parents took away, who wasn't growing up in the best home situation.

Duchess was created to be an NFT as a "fine art" imaginary friend that rich kids imagine.

Red was created so Terrence could have an imaginary friend go after Bloo (which backfired).

Li'l Lincoln was created to help a kid cheat on tests.

Ivan was created to give the best Kid in the Hall a voice role on the show to be a seeing-eye friend for Stevie.

Some of the more minor imaginary friends either have the reason for their creation given out in some of the supplementary materials like DVD bonus features (such as Socket Tubey- the imaginary friend with a sock head and TV body- created by a boy who just wanted to watch TV all day) or could just be inferred from what they are (the bucket and mop imaginary friends probably by some kid who didn't want to do their chores and the imaginary puppies probably by a kid who wanted a dog).

Daniel— Hes always been a horror fan, when I was writing him..favourite movie of his is probably something respectable, some sort of Stephen King adaptation? The Shining methinks.

Ivan— Doesn't strike me as someone who has a lot of time for tv or movies, hes got like, single parenting responsibilities and such. Might watch a few episodes of whatever tv drama or sitcoms on cable. His favourite show is Bluey or some other kids tv hes been forced to watch so much hes actually gotten into the plot a little.

Jay— Thinks tv will mind control him semi-ironically, Moira would probably drag him into a movie night and he'd have a good time. Hes too...jumpy and guilt ridden for horror.

Moira— Ohhh shes definitely an anime fan of some sort, or some other tv show with a large fandom, shes the Luz Noceda of my OCs. Probably started out scared of horror but after the Transformation shes been through too many The Horrors to care. Watches werewolf movies to do nothing more than scoff at how unrealistic they are.

Whenever someone in the class has some sort of extracurricular event, be it a game or meet for Kim/Alix, a Kitty Section concert, one of Mylene’s plays, a gig for Nino, etc, everyone is there to cheer them on, as enthusiastic as they can possibly be.

They are ALL neurodivergent. Fight me. Marinette struggles with OCD, this is canon. Kim has ADHD. Max is on the autism spectrum, and I actually feel like Nath(hyperfixating) and Juleka (social struggles) and Ivan (emotional expression) too. Mylene and Sabrina have anxiety. Everyone is supportive. Stim toys are always on hand. That is all.

They have regular class outings, be it a picnic in the park, seeing a movie, shopping, or just walking around Paris. They always have fun together and make a ton of memories.

They have biweekly movie nights where one person gets to pick the category, and they gorge themselves on snack food and yell at the screen. (They also group watch TV shows. Their last watch was Bojack Horseman. They are all emotionally destroyed.)

Their group chat is absolutely unhinged and it may leave you with deep mental scars if you read it.

In this class, one person’s younger siblings are EVERYONE’s younger siblings! Anyone in the class would commit homicide for Sasha Bruel, and they’ve all become well-versed in dealing with the Cesaire twins.

They have a funny game they all play together where they take a random idea for a story and then take turns adding stuff that makes the plot progressively more insane and hilarious.

Ivan is the designated person to carry any of his friends when they’re tired, overworked, hurt, or even just if they feel crappy and want to be carried. He’s a good boi.

Kim is pretty much the personal trainer for each of his classmates and you best believe he knows damn well how to motivate and pump up whoever he’s working with.

Adrien is the class baby, and they will all protect him with their lives. They’re teaching him about life and social norms, and plotting Gabe’s death is a regular occurrence in class discussions.

They have a…weird ritual for birthdays. No one knows how it started but it’s terrifying. All I’ll tell you is that it involves a pitch dark room, candles, dark cloaks, and chanting. Are they summoning something? No one knows.

Nino is class dad, and Mylene is class mom. They will do anything to take care of their friends. They always have first aid kits in their bags. They keep snacks on hand for everyone. If you’re out sick, they’re checking in on you regularly. You better be resting properly or you’re in trouble!

The whole class has nicknames for each other, both shortened versions of longer names (Mari, ‘Lene, ‘Brina, Jules, Nath) and the little cute ones that have to do with traits, experiences or personalities. (“Sunshine” for Adrien, “Kimbo” for obvious, “Tomato” for Nath.)
