Notes: I was very tempted to make this a breakup oneshot, but I refrained because that seemed a bit cliché for this prompt. Don’t worry! I have a couple of breakup fics in the works for you angst-obsessed psychos like myself, lol.

I AM WOEFULLY BEHIND ON THE MANGA, SO PLS, NO SPOILERS IF I GET ANYTHING WRONG

Even after all these years as a Defense Force officer, never did you think you’d be hurt this badly. 

You can’t feel your legs, which isn’t good. You had actually muted the AI in your ear that was listing off your injuries because you couldn’t afford to lose focus. 

The kaiju in front of you is giant, not quite honju size, but it’s close. Its breath is rancid, making your eyes water with the odor of rotting flesh as it exhales and its breath wafts out over your prone body. You could practically see the clouds of stink emanating from its mouth, and the bits of human flesh stuck between its fangs aren’t doing you any favors. 

As the kaiju grew closer, your stomach sank. Trying to scoot away, much less get up and run, was futile. That much was obvious. Perhaps you should’ve listened to your AI when you were initially injured…

Were you going to die here?

The ground shook beneath you and rattled your teeth in your head as the kaiju took a lumbering step. It was then that you heard something. 

Just on the edge of your hearing. 

Was that…?

“DUCK!” Gen bellowed, and you instinctively hit the deck, nearly cracking your jaw against the concrete as you covered your head and curled up as best you could. Gen blasted the kaiju to pieces with his massive weapon, which you always teased was overkill. 

Almost as soon as he pulled the trigger, it was as if the kaiju combusted from the inside out. Ooze and ichor splashed over your body, though luckily, you were clothed from the neck down in your suit, and your arms mostly covered your head. Your legs were still numb, even as flesh and gore from the monster pelted you in chunks; you couldn’t feel anything from the waist down. 

“—ncess! Hey!” Gen called, and you heard the clatter of his bayonet falling to the ground as he hit his knees and skidded to your side. Globs of goop and flesh were brushed off your body, and he turned you onto your back. Which, in hindsight, wasn’t the best idea. But you couldn’t fault him for it. You were just happy to see him. 

“Hey, Gen.” You wheeze, and he offers you that crooked grin you love so much. 

“Hey, princess. You weren’t answering your comm.” He said, and you grunted in pain as he brushed a bruise on the side of your head. 

“The AI got too annoying. Broken this, bruised that, blah, blah, blah.” You complained, and even as you spoke, you could tell he was getting worried. He didn’t outright say it, but you had been dating for years and known each other for longer. 

That was one of the perks of growing up as childhood sweethearts. 

Gen put a finger to his ear where his earpiece was and waited before cursing.

“Shit, we’re in a dead zone. I gotta get you a medic. Sit tight. I’ll be right back.” He said, moving you as gently as possible so you were propped up against some rubble, and he put your gun in your hand. 

A jolt of panic shot through your body as he got up to leave. 

You couldn’t be left alone. 

Something was going to go horribly wrong if you did.

You lurched and grabbed his ankle, nearly sending him to the ground. 

“—the hell?! Princess, you have to let go!” He said and turned back to look at you.

“Don’t leave me. Please.” You begged, and he rolled his eyes. 

“I can’t move you too much, or else you’ll get worse. Give me five minutes tops!” He soothed, and you gnawed on the inside of your cheek. 

Gen, practically able to sense your worry, crouched and kissed you on the mouth. He tasted like sweat and salt and exhaustion. 

“Five minutes. I promise.” He said, and you finally relented. 

It was just five minutes. What could go wrong?

As soon as Gen left, sprinting away with his bayonet to get some help, that awful feeling returned. 

And it only amplified as a tall, spindly, pale being rounded the corner and set its beady eyes on you. 

A kaiju?

It raised a bony finger, and you could see the air start to shimmer…

Before there was a “pop!” everything went black.

Dark Academia is now known as having a strong knowledge of different cultures, especially generation Z. This subculture which is characterised by appreciation of classic literature, vintage appearance and public intellectualism has greatly enthused the postmodern generation. However, what makes it so appealing?

The romanticization of dark academia

In fact, Dark Academia isn’t only a style but probably a way of living as well. The images promoting the Pre-Fall 2014 collection of items such as tweed blazers, plaid/daisy skirts, and oversized sweaters, brings consciousness of an older, more rational era. It gives a sort of respite from the stresses which characterise the contemporary world while also feeling more genuine. Influenced by the themes such as darkness and art, the aesthetic encourages Gen Z to enter a world appreciating wit and talent.

—Nature of Intellectual Curiosity

Apart from the visual, leaning heavily into Dark Academia promotes a passion for books. It encourages reading great literature and diving into intellectual discussions—not just for school, but as a way to grow personally. In the present era where generation Z is receiving a lot of unknowns about socio-economic reality, enjoying learning forms a good selling point now. School isn’t about getting all your subjects right; it is about wanting to learn and nurture an idea.

—Emotional Connection

As it also presented so far, Dark Academia also allows characters to vent socially. Although themes of sadness and existence are present in the subculture, which many Gen Z individuals are willing to discuss. Sketch is a method of creating personal art forms as well as an open platform for sharing more profound problems or feelings in face to face discussions or on paper. Some people think this romanticises suffering, many, however, believe it allows them to address and discuss difficult feelings safely and through art.

—Criticism of Dark Academia

Nevertheless, to the present, Dark Academia is not devoid of issues.The pressure to always be learning, creating, and looking perfect can make Dark Academia feel unrealistic for some. It may also lead to unhealthy comparison because everyone will be expecting to achieve the same or even greater results than the last person. The subculture can also feel clique-like because the focus of the students is a specific form of education or class.

—Conclusion

In general, the Dark Academia trend has influenced Gen Z greatly. It has changed the perception of the many towards learning, self-voice, and even self-therapy. Although it has its flaws, Dark Academia remains an open space for sharing ideas, deep thinking, and honest emotions. For Gen Z, it provides an opportunity to navigate through the world as well as reason and understand it.

Gen 3 Beta Pokemon 'Dex - Page 2

Name: Mossmy [モスミー]

Type: Grass

Category: Water Moss

Height/Weight: 1', 11 lbs

Pokedex Entries:

It has moss growing on its body, which feels great to the touch. However, this moss absorbs energy, so it's advised not to touch it carelessly.

Commonly found in damp, shady places. It blooms beautiful yellow flowers, but they emit a foul, garbage-like smell.

Additional Gamefreak Notes: It attacks by releasing absorbed light and water, or by scattering moss from its body onto the ground to make it slippery. Its fur is fluffy and soft. It inhabits damp, shady areas. When its moss attaches to something, it drains its strength.

Evolution: Evolves into Kodomon

My Notes: To provide some context, moss balls are a popular 'pet' in Japan, which you keep in a tank of water. Thus the category 'water moss.'

Name: Kodomin [コドミン]

Type: Electric (previously Electric/Grass)

Category: Small Oni

Height/Weight: 3'3'', 82.7 lbs

Pokedex Entries:

Absorbs electricity using its horn, including from sources like household electrical outlets.

Appears at places struck by lightning. Its horn grow annually, and the larger it is, the more respect it gets from its peers.

Additional Gamefreak Notes: It loves chasing others (Onigokko, game of tag). It can produce a rythmic sound, like the beat of a drum. It is always found where lightning has struck. Its horn is said to regrow once a year. People in ancient times believed that lightning was a sign of a Kodomin being born.

Evolution: Evolves from Kodomon and into a final, undecided pokemon.

Signature Move Ideas:

'Drumbeat' - Produces a deep, resonating sound that greatly lowers the opponent’s defense.

'Lightning Strike' - During rain, receiving lightning increases its attack power. In sunny weather, it becomes a normal electric-type physical attack.

Other Moves: Vine Whip, Thunderbolt

Name: Poochi [プーチ]

Name: Kujatta [クジャッタ]

My Notes: Critiqued in the Gamefreak notes as being 'literally just a peacock' and it was requested that something special was done with the feathers. I love peafowl so it's a shame this pokemon wasn't refined.

Name: Shakokaku [シャコカク]

My Notes: This was replaced by Dusclops in the final version of the game. It's unclear whether Dusclops is a major reworking of this pokemon or simply was placed in its slot. The data for this pokemon have Ghost as the typing, Beckoning as the Category, and the same height/weight as Dusclops as well, so again, unclear if this data was originally for Shakokaku or if its data was being replaced with Dusclops.

Name: Penpin [ペンピン]

My Notes: Although this pokemon looks like a rubber chicken, it was intended to be a penguin, judging from the name. But even more interesting, its internal index number is right beside the internal index number for beta Spheal. Beta Spheal looks very close to the Spheal we know and love but it's gray instead of blue, making the leopard seal inspiration even clearer.

Now, this all makes it extremely likely that Penpin is meant to be a bowling ball pin, and Spheal was meant to be a bowling ball. Leopard seals hunt penguins in real life, so it makes sense. (Penpin even has the red stripe around his neck)

Quite frankly, that's fantastic. I saw somebody comment online (sorry, I don't remember who) that the wobbling walk of a penguin perhaps reminded someone of the way bowling ball pins wobble when you don't quite knock them over. It's an adorable idea.

Name: Lilibra [リリブラ]

My Notes: Seems to be inspired by a hummingbird. The tail appears to be a bookmark. A very under-appreciated beta design and one of my favorites.

Name: Flane [フラーネ]

Type: Grass/Psychic (formerly Grass)

Category: Flower

Height/Weight: 1'8'', 3.3lbs

Pokedex Entries:

Sticks its tail into the ground to absorb nutrients. Has very weak leg strength, allowing it to walk only 1 meter per day.

Has the ability to read human emotions. It is said to grow well and bloom beautiful flowers when raised by a person with a bright heart.

Additional Gamefreak Notes: A Pokémon that travels on the wind. It has a seed attached to its rear. It has no mouth, and it absorbs moisture from the ground by attaching its rear to the earth. Its leg strength is weak, so it can hardly walk. When on the ground, it sits sideways. It can read people's hearts.

Signature Move Ideas: Heal

My Notes: Plenty of other pokemon were critiqued as being "just a [insert animal or plant]" but here we have what looks like literally just a flower and it was scrapped relatively late? Really weird.

Name: Pyokko [ピヨッコ]

My Notes: This pokemon is a fascinating little mystery. It looks like a grub with its wormy backside, and combine that with its flower motif, and the fact its index number is right next to Ninfu, it seems like it was meant to evolve into Ninfu. But it also undeniably has some things in common with Torchic; its beak, the head feather design, its color, and its name. On Twitter, Lewtwo pointed out early Torchic designs had a name incredibly similar to this one's ('Fiyoko'). What's more, there's another beta pokemon that Pyokko might have evolved into, a chicken with some kind of citrus-fruit helmet named Kurumi.

However, there's no rule that says a pokemon can't have a complex story. Pyokko probably did inspire Torchic's design, but it probably originally was intended as something else. The Gamefreak critique notes included with this pokemon ask for a design that is 'more bug-like, more fantastical.' So I'm betting it originally was meant to evolve into Ninfu.

My Notes: TCRF says that a pin cushion may have inspired the design. Tomatoes are a popular design for pin cusions, so an orange pin cusion isn't totally unreasonable I suppose.

Its main diet consists of marine microorganisms, which it swallows along with seawater using its large mouth. It lives on the sea. When resting, it floats on the water. However, it cannot swim.

My Notes: This would have been a cool HM user since it probably would have been able to use both Fly and Surf. Still, we have Pelipper for that, so I can't complain. Also, the design here is kinda too similar to Lapras in my opinion.

Name: Kajitto [カジット]

My Notes: TCRF speculates the name may be a combo of 'fruit' and 'rabbit' and this pokemon may be based on usagi-ringo, a method of cutting apples to make them look like a rabbit (which Victini is based on). It's a pretty compelling theory. There is a pokemon from Gold/Silver beta sprites that looks very similar to this guy:

mizu has always been a trauma regressor to me, especially due to their lack of dealing with their feelings head on. their body would have to nearly force them to stop and take a break from their revenge mission and focus on recovering.

the first time she regressed would be terrifying to her, the feeling of being so out of control and helpless would make her hide away to try to push herself out of it as fast as possible.

it would take an incredible amount of time and trust developed before she felt safe around someone to tell, let alone show such a vulnerable state.

the select characters that i could realistically see her regressing around would be sword father or ringo.

if she were to regress voluntarily it would be to have the childhood that she wished she could have, one where she wasn't forced to grow up as a boy and to ease her gender dysphoria with feminine items/clothing.

she would be a very independent kiddo, not wanting to rely on others in fear that she would be an inconvenience or she would be punished for wasting someone's time after being treated as a monster for so long. if she were honest she genuinely wouldn't know how to react to such affection.

that being said, she needs gentle reassurance when in a younger state with a caregiver that helps her along the way. adding fruit/vegetables to her meals to make sure its balanced or mending their clothes would never go unnoticed and greatly appreciated.

she'd be so used to the feeling of being in pain or nauseous that she'd have a hard time differentiating pain that should be attended to or not. therefore her caregiver would need to keep an eye on her and remind her that any and all pain is worth looking at/caring for.

as a sentimental person she'd want to keep things gifted to her and wear or use them as comfort items until they physically can't be repaired anymore.

some of her favorite gifts would include free flowing or baggy clothes that she can keep close to her person for comfort.

her main comfort item is her sword, and would not be able to go anywhere or sleep without it clutched to her side as it reminds her of home and is something that she can rely on to keep her safe.

an actually extremely feral regressor as well if given the chance to be her true self (/lh /pos). i could absolutely see them wanting to play outside and then coming back home caked in mud and bruises while having the time of their life.

let her be a goofy kid!! growing up so fast from situations out of her control that she'd long for days where she'd let herself have fun.

LOVES going to the beach/aquarium. a true ocean lover whose favorite activities involve being around or in large bodies of water.

play fighting is a love language! she would love to wrestle her playmates/caregivers to see who is the strongest. as a physically stronger regressor she'd need to learn the value of her strength and to not be too rough if she were to get too excited.

they can get easily frustrated with creative tasks, and would prefer specific instruction in order to feel useful. it would make them the best helper around.

would love to play a game where they are the hero for once. (being called a monster can wear someone down mentally and it would definitely make her day to be seen as the hero of the story).

she also requires a ton of quiet time to allow her mind and body to rest. would she ever do it herself willingly is another question for another day, but she'd reluctantly do it if asked of her with sufficient gentle praise and coaxing.

as touch starved as they are, i can't see her being the one to initiate contact with someone unless the moment takes over her softer side and she can't help but wrap her arms around them or gently nudge them with her body to tell them that she's there and cares for them.

from her caregiver or those that she considers close she would accept forms of physical affection but wouldn't be too vocal on how much it means to her.

she'd believe that she'd never be able to repay her caregiver for their kindness but will continually try to find little things throughout the day to show them how grateful she is.

oddly enough i could totally see her gifting a sword to her caregiver as it is something that she believes she's good at and would work tirelessly day and night to make sure it's perfect.

despite being in a younger mindset she can and still would mean business to anyone who dares mess with her caregiver. even a baby phoenix still has talons.

Thoughts on Dondozo and Tatsugiri? It's law that you review them together.

I like Tatsugiri a lot. A fish (dragon/water, probably as a pun on dragon rolls) that looks like sushi is already a fun concept. But then you turn around and have it function like a tongue-eating louse? Absolutely love everything about that. (I won't post pictures of said louse here in case anyone's squeamish, but basically it's a parasite that replaces the tongue of its host fish for free food.) Not to mention that it looks adorable, but is actually a carnivore that eats birds:

In terms of design, I like how it obviously looks like sushi but in a way that's believable for a real animal. The throat sac is a really good way of implying rice in a way that makes biological sense, and the markings are reminiscent of sauce without being overly literal. The overall look is also pleasantly simple, free of unnecessary details.

It also comes in few forms—Curly, Droopy, and Stretchy—representing shrimp, tuna, and egg/urchin sushi, respectively. Between the three, I like the Curly form the best; I think the color and curled look makes it look the most like sushi out of the three. I also feel like the markings add some much-needed detail to the design that breaks up the solid colors; Stretchy, for example, looks far too solid to me. Regardless, all three are enjoyable.

The tongue-louse Pokemon wouldn't be complete without a fish to reside in the mouth of, and Dondozo handles that job pretty well. While it's a shame that the gimmick can really only be seen in doubles (you know, that thing you almost never use in SV), the idea of Dondozo both being the one "eating" the sushi, the sushi chef, and the brawn of the operation all come together very nicely and greatly enhance Tatsugiri's concept.

I also always appreciate a bit of interaction between Pokemon. In this case, it's a mutualistic relationship—Dondozo gets food in exchange for Tatsugiri getting protection and hunting strength.

While it doesn't have the most memorable design in and of itself, it has enough there to add flavor. In particular, the head fins are reminiscent of a sushi chef's hat, and the white underbelly arguably looks a bit like a uniform. It also looks huge, strong, and bulky, which is an important contrast to how small and meek Tatsugiri looks in comparison.

My only real nitpick with this design is that I'm not fond of the weird angular, hexagonal markings on it. I don't think that having the light blue spots inside of the dark blue areas was necessary, and the whole thing just feels too blocky. I would've loved to see it with more wave-like markings (maybe ones that mimic the pattern on Curly Tatsugiri to tie the two together visually). It's not a huge deal, just something that bugs me a bit.

Anyway, overall, I love these two. The biological aspect is fleshed-out and well-explored, the concepts play off of each other well and are fun and memorable, and the designs work great. Definitely one of the most clever Pokemon of this gen.

There was absolutely no doubt in your mind that Jason Grace is absolutely very pretty. Beautiful, even. People really ought to look away, otherwise, they’d risk crying when they see the beauty of your boyfriend. But really though, Jason Grace is beautiful. The way he messed his blond hair up from running his hands through it countless times while studying; the way he furrowed his eyebrows in concentration; and the way his nose scrunched up whenever he read a formula he didn’t understand. You could drown in him, you think.

You and Jason have been studying in your bedroom for hours now - sitting silently across one another, books sprawled in between the two of you, as his hand played with yours while he was intently reading from his physics textbook. Jason probably didn’t notice that he was playing with your hands. It was a habit of his ever since the two of you started having study dates. Sometimes, you’d play with his hand too, and he’ll look up and pull back his hand. Most times, though, you let him do that as the butterflies settled in your stomach and you could see Jason relaxed.

This day, however, the two of you have done school works you’ve missed during the weekend as the two of you ditched school works and went instead with his family to their weekend getaway to Los Angeles, taking a break from the busy streets of New York. It was a pleasant stay, only that his father ruined most of it with his grumpiness. Other than that, you loved the warmth and palm trees LA offered.

Jason looked up from his book, his glasses askew, as his eyebrows shot up. His mouth hung open in surprise. “What?”

You smiled, sitting straighter on your bed. “You’re pretty.”

Jason blushed as a smile graced his soft lips. “No. You are.”

“Don’t argue with me.” You grasped his hand. “You’re very pretty.”

Jason used his hand as leverage to pull you closer to him. You let yourself fall forwards as you kissed the tip of his nose. “I like you here.”

“Yeah?” Jason hummed. His hand released its hold from your waist as it pushed aside the books that lay open in the middle. His other hand tugged you forward, making you move towards him until your kneecaps met one another.

“I like you here, too.” You kissed the small scar on the side of his lips.

Jason pulled you forward once again towards his lap. You let him, climbing into it, and letting your knees hang around his hips.

Jason was tall. He was always tall. So, when you climbed into his lap, you couldn’t help but relish because you’re somehow taller than him. You let your hands tangle themselves into his hair, as your lips kissed the top of his head, just where he had always kissed you.

“Take off your glasses.” you looked down at him.

“Why?” Jason furrowed his brows. “I thought you loved my glasses.”

“I do.” You took off his glasses, reaching out to place them on your nightstand. “I just want to see your eyes.”

Jason opened it as wide as he could.

“There.” He blinked, making you laugh.

You bit your bottom lip in concentration as you studied his eyes. “It’s stormy, but not like Annabeth’s. It’s like lightning holding back itself.”

“Yeah,” Jason kissed the front of her neck. “How can you tell?”

“It’s the gray mixing with the blue - like you’re holding back some kind of storm,” you told him, tugging his hair downwards to the nape of his neck to make him look up to you.

Jason shrugged. “Are we studying or what?”

“I don’t know,” you shrugged back, a suggestive smile worming its way on your lips. “You tell me.”

Jason jutted his chin upwards, and you leaned down, meeting his lips in the middle. The hand that was wrapped around your waist now held the nape of your neck as he pulled you closer to him.

One of your hands worked its way in between the two of you, going from the back of his neck towards the hem of his shirt, where you toyed with it, playing with the idea of Jason taking off his shirt.

He pulled back a bit, removing his own shirt.

He surged back towards you, hastily wanting to meet your lips again, but you leaned back, taking in the sight of him shirtless. He definitely looks more like a roman statue now, except that it’s all skin and muscles, and you can touch it. Your fingers ran along his abs like it was a vase you had to be careful of touching or otherwise, it would break. You gained a bit of confidence as you felt it rise under your touch with his sharp intake of breath, taking hold of his shoulder, as your eyes met his electric blue ones.

“You’re really pretty.”

Jason’s face was warm under your touch as you cupped it into your hand, pulling him in for a kiss. Jason’s kisses were all giving. He was letting you take control, no matter how much he wanted to lead; his fingers ran under the hem of your shirt, letting you know he was itching to take it off.

At last, you raised your arms, letting him take care of your shirt.

Greetings!! I have a question that you’ve probably gotten a lot and I just haven’t seen: What are your tips for having a long lasting legacy family? I would love to have one family I continuously post on here but I always lose interest quickly. If you do have any tips, they’d be greatly appreciated!!!

To be honest I’m not really sure how to make a legacy “fun” hahaha I think it's really subjective so what's fun for me may be boring for you! I think the most important thing is for you to have fun with the game, and if you do, the legacy will surely last!

I've found the following helps:

Share your legacy. I have more fun when I share what's going on in my save because it makes it feel more real to me if that makes sense xD What I do is I play my game, and try to think like my sims would think, make them do stuff that’s not just skill and eat, etc. And of course adding little snippets of “conversation” also helps a lot because it builds their personality too!

Aging ON and shorter lifespan. I know it's tempting to play on a longer lifespan when you get attached to your sims but that makes the game so boring for me. New sims mean new stories, new worlds, new features etc. So I play on a relatively short lifespan (and I just turn aging off for college or when I absolutely need more time for a specific storyline). Otherwise, clock is ticking!

I try to focus on one big game feature each generation (e.g. gen 1 was base game career, gen 2 was active careers, gen 3 was college and robotics, gen 4 was archeology, gen 5 was painting and eco living, gen 6 was strangerville and military, gen 7 was witchcraft, etc.). And I try to explore it to the fullest. That way I remain invested and also have something to look forward to next generation!

Also take into account that it takes time for a legacy to find its footing, shape and form. Gale’s generation (Gen 1) was quite different from the rest. You just find your style little by little as you play and post! So don’t stress too much about it and just enjoy the ride! :D

oh god yeah ok. like there are many ways in which i authentically believe bnha would be extremely improved if bakugou was simply a girl but i’ll try to stick to the minimum here.

anyways bnha/anime in gen lbr has a woman problem and i really don’t want to harp on about it but if you disagree send an ask and i’ll fight about it. i think for bnha this would be greatly countered by having bakugou be the exact same character but a girl. still gets the secondary protagonist slot, still gets the masses of character development, narrative importance, parallel to the protagonist, etc, but just happens to be a girl. that’s levels of focus and care afforded to absolutely no female character in bnha and generally in anime of its genre. separately, there is no female character like bakugou- yes, there are aggro girl characters, but they fall under Aggro Girl Character tropes, whereas bakugou is a fully realized fairly unique and heavily nuanced character. like it’s rare to have such a major character be such an unrepentant bastard from the outset w zero tragic backstory but then consistently remain one of the main characters in the series and be given the significance he gets. to have all of that afforded to a female character would make my year. i want more complex female characters who don’t fall under Complex Female Character archetypes- who are complicated in ways male characters get to be. for me it would be extremely refreshing to have midoriya be the fundamentally nice (if extremely dangerous) protag and bakugou as the girl character being the fundamentally not-nice (and similarly dangerous) foil. instead the closest female foil charas we have to the protags are uraraka and momo, both of which are nicer and softer and more self-conscious and weaker than their male counterparts. i like uraraka and momo. i would love female bakugou.

anyways though i would again like bakugou to remain the exact same i do accept that the change would alter some of the ways the story plays out, w some unavoidable sympathy added to the character’s storyline. like wouldn’t it make more sense for bakugou to be SO VERY ANGRY about ever being offered help if bakugou was a girl. wouldn’t bakugou resent midoriya so much more for looking out for him if bakugou was a girl. wouldn’t bakugou be SO RAVENOUSLY FURIOUS at todoroki for holding back in their sports fest fight after giving his all to midoriya if bakugou was a girl. there’d just be an added nuance to bakugou’s ego and temper w society filtered in- bakugou would still be the same asshole as always, but there’d also be some external context. i think it would be good content.

final note bc i appreciate this is getting long- i also think there would be so much potential for comedy in-universe about this. like, midoriya remains as awkward as he is around girls (meeting uraraka, his interactions w hatsume, etc etc) despite having been best/worst friends w bakugou since diapers and this does not compute as weird to him at all bc bakugou does not register as a girl to him. ‘that’s just kacchan! that’s different!’ kirishima still finds bakugou to be the manliest person in school. the bakusquad routinely forgets bakugou is only figuratively one of the boys. bakugou has like a horrendous mullet situation going on to look distinct from mitsuki bc otherwise it’s a lost cause. mineta is dead. bakugou resents todoroki far longer and more stubbornly than in canon bc of the indignity of sports fest since it was grounded in apparent misogyny; todoroki remains wholly oblivious since he sees bakugou less as a Weak Girl and more as a Raging Asshole. all might and/or bakudeku’s mothers ship bakudeku (to their mutual horror). just a lot of slight tweaks that entertain me.

also naturally i love bakugou from a character perspective and i think as a species humanity should have reached the stage where girls get to have characters like that too. terrible role models for all <3 that’s feminism baby

i don’t like when i go to the doctor and they weigh me. it’s like, i don’t want to tell them that i feel uncomfortable with them saying my weight out loud (because they always do) and i always keep my eyes closed when they put me on the scale.

but they still do it. the last time i was weighed i was 166. for reference, i’m 5’2, afab (trans boy). my mom was there and she said i was overweight. but i’m not, at least if i am then i’d like to think i’m not.

i’m not really sure what to do at this point. my mom would always tell me that i needed to lose weight because i eat a lot (just a large appetite) and she always says to eat less. then she gets mad at me for developing ana.

i dunno. any input from you lovely mods or advice on how to ignore her comments is greatly appreciated.

hey seb, your mom doesnt get any say on your body. its your body.

if you arent comfortable with these things you should voice it where you can when you feel comfortable doing so, your doctor should definitely be aware of your comfort level.

if your mom decides to make comments, focus on things you like instead. what are some things you like about you? physical or not? what are things you like in general etc

your comfort is very important /gen

im sorry you have a mom who thinks its okay to make comments like that, you do not to eat less or lose weight, you need to do what youre okay with and whats healthy for you.

I lost a fic, its at least 5K probably leaning twords 20 though. It involves Merlin getting sick, I think pneumonia. I remember that at one point Morgana reads him a book when he's sick, and Arthur almost leaves to get Hunith because he thought Merlin wouldn't make it. May have something to do with a formalwear tunic that made him cold and got sick, but that might be a different one. I also think he was going to go to a party of Gwen's before he got sick?? sorry if this is kinda vague
