I love Duke Thomas so much man. Whenever I get so mad at the New 52 I picture his face and it's like no you're right. There was 1% good to be found in that shitshow and it's him.

Heather and Alejandro are 5'10 and 5'11, respectively. You'd never know this, since the two of them seem to wear exclusively heeled shoes that lift their already respectable heights to well above 6'.
It's a point of pride for the both of them. And, if pushed to confession, they'd also reveal that towering above their peers was a very subtle and very effective intimidation tactic. Hence their choice of footwear.
And it works for the two of them. For a while, at least. Until Alejandro gets a new pair of boots - almost exactly the same as his last, but with an extra inch in the heel (an indulgence he'd never admit to). Suddenly, their meagre height difference is noticable. Heather hates it.
So she buys herself a new pair of wedged sandals. And if they just so happen to be two inches taller than her last, well, who's to say?
Then Alejandro decides to try out a new look, donning a pair of heavy looking boots with a noticably chunkier sole... about five or so inches thick.
Heather matches his play with a pair of stilettos that have Alejandro as infuriated as he is impressed.
Their game continues, with increasingly taller and increasingly ridiculous footwear choices.
By the end of their little (or, perhaps, not-so-little) competition, the two of them are hovering a measly few inches below 7'. The others have started a betting pool on who will break an ankle first.

I feel like the Primaris should have been the catalyst for like, an imperial civil war. At the very least, much unrest in the house of Guilliman. Their existence, let alone rollout/integration, should have had many chapters absolutely rioting. It should be beyond the pale by several orders of magnitude and be seen as an enormous overreach by the more autonomy loving chapters, a blasphemy by the more orthodox chapters, and an existential threat to chapters with geneseed quirks. Plus anyone with any awareness of the thunder warriors should take one look at them and recognize the writing on the wall. Guilliman should absolutely recognize what they represent, what they imply. Like they're the leading wave of a paradigm shift that doesn't bode well for what came before. And I say this as someone who's not averse to Primaris, I just think they could've, should've, been a waaaay bigger deal. I know they loathe changing the status quo and we're never getting rid of the posterboys but I think we missed out on something interesting.

I've been avoiding episode 1115 for an entire month after it was released and despite reading in the manga about what will transpire, I'm still brokenhearted because the guilt of not being able to protect his ship and crew will flood more questions for Law because surviving yet again has got to be a sick joke from some sort of higher power at a certain point. Is it because he's a D that there's a mysterious force compelling him to survive no matter what? Why him, specifically? If an incurable disease and a limited lifespan was not enough to kill him, if his fate was so checkered to the point that he had to bear witness losing his family, his savior, his home, and his nakamas, what's the point of being alive? He has too much love to give and I won't be surprised if he was already introspecting on the idea that he's like a curse bringing the inevitable to his loved ones because his love was doomed to be tragic and unfortunate.

Ganged up on by big brother and daddy dearest. Frieza has a lot of learning to do~
Just got back into Dokkan, only stopped because of my phone storage but I didn’t want to miss 9th year, although having no luck pulling any of the new LRs. I’m not overly bothered anyway, hehe.

So I learned a few hours ago that killing the targets with the mysterious shard in AC Mirage via projectiles will still give you the mysterious shard without having to loot the body.
Now, I know the common tool to use in this situation is the throwing knife. Just headshot them and boom, easy kill.
But it's me so... I definitely use the berserk dart on them and watch their own guards kill them... slowly... and painfully... hehehehe

i know i have talked about this many times in detail by now, but the whole "shiekah tech just vanished" totk interview reveal will grind my gears anytime i think about the franchise for i dont know how much time to come
its such a lie to your face i just cant help but feel insulted, bc no, its NOT all gone and vanished, you kept the few parts convenient to keep and got rid of all that could have even vaguely distracted from the new shiny sonau stuff, at least be honest and just say you didnt think about it needing any sort of reason, say you dont care, say there were writing or staffing troubles, say you had other priorities, say you didnt think people cared about continuity (lol) even between two games taking place in the same world no 10 years apart, say you just wanted to generate money but even more, idk, id much rather have them be honest about it than lie like that bc this way it makes it feel like they think im stupid, like id just gobble up and be happy with anything they say to get me to shut up and keep spending money
(╯‵□′)╯︵┻━┻
#ganondoodles talks#zelda#totk#ganondoodles rants#not really a rant tbh#but man#i just keep coming back to this point#bc its just ... so insulting#and you cant argue either that he meant the old shiekah stuff vanished while newly built stuff was still there#bc the old og guardian on the hateno institute is still there#the teleport pad as well#both of which WERE old#but then the telescope is gone and the furnace and the upgrade stone thingy- isnt even the easter egg prototype titan model gone too??#and the big furnace and the lanterns are all gone#and it all had to stay for a while after botws end bc we still see it and purah also had enough time to manage to get herself aged up again#and the whole it vanshied bc it knew the calamtiy was gone interview part makes it even worse#bc the SOURCE OF IT IS STILL THERE#AND WHY DIDNT IT VANISH A HUNDRED YEARS AGO THEN#THEY WON THAT TIME TOO#and that everyone that was in any way interested in shiekah tech just doesnt care anymore#again i dont think even the words shiekah tech are said a single time#aside from MAYBE the school thing about the calamity#which is another can of worms tbh#and no vah ruta stopping to work isnt the same as vanishing#i always figured it was bc the spirits of the pilots were now all fully gone and without a pilot as its power source yeah it might stop#bc that makes SENSE#i want to know so badly why this all turned out like this#they have talked about struggles during development before so why not here#is there somethign they try to cover up or did they ACTUALLY think this was good#bc i cant believe that

Wait, so if modifications like being a seeker don't come naturally, how does getting those modifications increase lifespan? Are there bots that have an affinity for those mods that just happen to have longer lifespans on average? Something about energy usage? Curious.
Oh, it doesn't increase lifespan it decreases lifespan often by more than half.
cybertronians have two main factors that determine their lifespan frame functionality and their spark energy. Cybertronian frames are tough and last longer than any human technology ever could, but that doesn't mean they don't need repairs and Maintenance, especially with how harsh Cybertron's environment is. This is why the average lifespan is so different from the max. With the war and slowly dying planet, their not enough medics or resources for repairs to go around, and many more ways to get grievously injured or die.
As for sparks, sparks have a finite amount of energy. Most sparks will last around 100 thousand years, maybe a little more, maybe a little less. Anything above 125 thousand is some kind of outlier or a non-standard cybertronian. Once a spark has burned out, its essence will return to the Allspark, where it has a chance to re-emerge again into a new frame with no memories of any of their past lives. Returning to the Allspark is kinda like a recharge for sparks.
Lifespan does have a link to energy usage since a spark energy is finite. Bots that have powerful abilities that use spark energy or use weapons add-ons that pull from spark energy often have slightly shorter lifespans because of this. Seekers' lifespans are often shorter because it takes extra energy from the spark for them to function, shortening their overall lifespan along with the modification, making them more prone to frame failure. They are remade for war, not a life after war. Theirs a reason why autobots don't usually fly, well at least not in robot mode.
