Ahh y'know, he's just the type of guy who will try to completely close himself off from his suffering; waking up from a horrific nightmare, revisiting the events he'd seen in a vision again and again and again--he just locks himself away in the bathroom, not used to having someone around now to share his breakdowns. Vincent doesn't push though, he lets him quietly collapse in silence, running the tap as loud as he can to try to drown out the noise, choking on violent tears that don't even belong to him; they're remnants of the victims he'd just seen obliterated behind his mind's eye. No way to save them. No way to even know their names. He sticks his head under the tap for a while, holds his breath long enough it feels a bit like drowning; he would know. Then he lets himself inhale, exhale, x10, and he walks back out of the room pretending nothing had happened. And Vince gently towels his hair dry, not saying much other than a suggestion that he try to get more rest. He'll try. Because he knows how this game works now; there's no point telling himself it could've gone differently, that he could've done something to fix all the death and horror and agony he relives every other weeknight. No, he's not a savior; just a witness.
