@emptydespair, hello hello! i saw this and then forgot to answer. and also was banished to the shadow realm. and then i just had to hunt down what the heck i was posting when you sent this ask 😂 (also i'm assuming you mean the "pick a thing i did while watching the finale" poll?)

but yeah, i'm trying to lead a dabb appreciation renaissance over here bc i think ppl forget that he really was there from s8 saying "dean deserves a soft domestic ending even if he doesn't believe he'll get it" and giving us plenty of Good Destiel Content from s8 onwards. he's not an original destiel warrior (honors go to bedlund and robbie) but he fed us well over the years.

i have a lot of thoughts about what the fuck happened with the finale (namely that they'd already picked walker as their "follow on" show and didn't want to scare off j1 and GA fans with the icky gays) but try to stay grounded and not get too tinhatty over it. i think there was a lot of network oversight on it but it's not like i think he wasn't actually the one writing it or wrote it at gunpoint. however, i'm pretty well-versed in dabb's work at this point and i just cannot get over just how much of a departure 15x20 is from the Themes in spn and his other work and everything in spn leading up to 15x20. also like. the man wrote 15x10 which is the blueprint for a "dean retires" ending. plus dean dances with a lamp. i might be a little insane. and i'm more than happy to spread that insanity around lol
