I'm not a dnd fan so I'm not sure what's accurate....#but I wanted her to be like the white dragonborn durge#so she's not actually a tiefling but meant to be like half human half white dragon#and she's a dragon sorcerer or whatever#so unlike a tiefling she is really. quite cold to the touch#she is chaotic neutral and ends up being redeemed#but once the new patch comes out perhaps I'll do a proper evil run#she has a sort of sorcerer / wizard rivalry with gale but she only argues with him to hide her crush lol#their shipname would be moonweave.... if you.... care....#oh also I headcanoned that she forgot her name after the nautiloid#she had a name given to her by her foster parents although she never really used it#so moon was the name given to her by her companions#because big. moon shaped eyes#gale reads to her and occasionally casts sleep spells to help her sleep through nightmares....#I like almost all the endings with gale so I imagine that they settle in waterdeep for a bit but also pick up adventuring again later on#or god gale cures her and makes her his chosen#thank u for listening. and now I will disappear into the depths and take my little brainrot with me

As for me, I was thinking about the fact and I'm trans and how my f/os love that part of myself and are so supportive. For the longest time, I had a fear that they wouldn't like me because of that. Like they'd be disappointed somehow. But then I remember that they'd never do that and they love me sm <3

I should make that clear)#there's this one other moment I won't even bring up bc of how uncomfortable it was to me#But yeah-afksbfjsnfj I don't have the best experiences with stuff regarding my gender and sexuality#So imagining that my f/os are completely understanding is just. nice.#Also bc they're that close to me- I don't particularly care if they refer to me as a gf or bf or just say Partner#Only people I'm close to get that privilege as long as they don't overdo it y'know#But yeah#I got distracted-afksbdjsbdjd#Point is!#a lot of my f/os are trans and they love that I'm trans too <3#Also this goes for familial and platonics are well. Just saw the new Mean Girls movie, and I don't care what the internet is probably gonna say about it because IT WAS GOOD!!!!

oh shit hey!! welcome to the My Bugs!! theyre my lobcorp/pm ocs ive been tossing around for um.. almost two years now! good lordt. so um, were pretty much rockin with that being the baseline understanding :] check it out if you havent, this has!! SUPER spoilers. it started as just wanting to make some little guys but then it turned into a series of "yknow whatd be really funny"s and now theyre Doing Things.
essentially, as it is now, the concept at its core is "what if there was a really fucked up lcorp branch in which things just went Comically sideways." aka local lcorp facility does such a shit job trying to get itself together that it Completely misses the fact that its entire wing exploded overnight. And Also People Are Turning Into Creatures Now. fucked up little petri dish of a facility.
lark is theeeeee third? character? ive made for their little group. and ive spoken about him exactly Once. in the quiz, yeah; that was the only time. but hes been here the whole time basically. hes intended to be the first 'pov' of the entire narrative thread, some newbie whos trying his damn best. aaaand hes also the first one to die! yippy 🎉
the actual context of where he comes from is still undefined (ithink i was considering making him an Index guy way back then?) but the main pin in his character is the unshakable belief that something specifically is Out To Get You. They Said Your Name Exactly, Yeah. the inherent expectation of cruelty. that someone is watching you, waiting for any misstep to make your life absolute hell. its.
hes hard to describe. because 'paranoia' is the easiest description, but thats not quite It. invisible lines you cant (and shouldnt) cross; the fear of perception crossed with the fear of solitude, because if someone isnt watching and directing you then something Will go catastrophically wrong. teeth pointed inward, an "i need to do this Myself because someone else will get it wrong, will mess it up." like he has something to prove. Just Do It Right.
and on the one hand, its mostly something he developed in order to cope with pressure he cannot change. bbbbbut on the other hand, he happened to be dropped into a situation in which 'someone is out to get You Specifically in an act of uncaring cruelty' is 100% true and real and he cant really do anything about it. and nobody really believes him. Because Nobody Knows Yet. which means he gets astronomically worse.
his corrosion stems from the snap decision that he doesnt just want to sit around and fawn and grovel for someone- something- that is just going to kill him anyway. if they want something to watch-- some big Show, some Game-- he was going to give it to them. to inflict as much carnage as was saddled onto Him. as Much collateral as physically possible. he'd pull this entire place down with him if he had to. he doesnt get the chance to, of course, but its the thought that counts little buddy.
so um, yeah, hes doing great 👍

#didn’t want to go all deep and whatever on that post bc idk whatever. i have my reasons i think#anyway#it really is odd to me that i might be memorable to people who i’ve never even interacted with directly#like people can just see me around campus and my face becomes even somewhat recognizable to them#it’s such an odd but cool feeling#bc growing up i was very much someone who just wanted to blend in more than anything#i didn’t want to do anything that would make me stand out in the slightest#i wanted to be as boring and unmemorable and regular as possible (at least in regard to my appearance; personality wise i was very much a-#-weird girl)#and i guess at some point in high school my mentality shifted and i wanted people to see me and think i’m cool or attractive or whatever#i wanted people to look at me and actually Think something of me#and now it’s not really something i actively try to do#it’s more of a ‘do i think i look good? do i like how i look? do i feel good? good’ and i go out like that#so it’s like. startling but also kinda really cool to have people actually remembering my face and thinking i’m cool or pretty or talented#or smart. or all of the above (preferably lol bc they’re all accurate ehehe)#even if they don’t automatically know how they recognize me#like. i’m here! i can be seen! and when i come face to face with these people who i’ve never seen before but who think i’m familiar#i can just casually chat with them and joke around and have fun#i can’t remember their names quite right. but they compliment my makeup or my shirt and an hour later i’m jokingly blowing kisses at them#idk it’s weird to think about how much i’ve changed as a person bc even four years ago this would’ve been like. unthinkable behavior#and now it just comes naturally i guess#(though the alcohol certainly helps i’m sure haha)#anyway i’m just proud of how far i’ve come both socially and in terms of my own self confidence and outgoingness#and my willingness to just be seen!!!

ive written a number of thasmin scenes that echo the 12x7 "ive been where you are" and sea devils beach scene from a number of slightly different angles on yazs emotional position in it, but what i havent done yet is give it a fleabag "it'll pass" sorta vibe where we repurpose "moments change" to turn it into an expression of disillusionment
#am i making sense#thinking of karvanista's 'i wouldve done anything for you'#and of yazs headspace in this fic im writing which is not quite at this point#or more accurately. not deeply at this point. superficially it's close but in the foundation she still loves the doctor#thats where the frustration comes from#but she is very tired and not hiding it 'i adjusted my expectations ages ago'#but like it's not too hard to imagine pushing yaz to a place where this exhaustion is not just like the surface expression of the fear of#losing the doctor#but instead goes down deeper than that and turns out to actually be this realisation that maybe she'd prefer losing the doctor#you know what i mean?#future yaz meeting present yaz and being like 'ive been where you are (in love with her still). moments change'#present yaz being half 'can you promise?' and half 'i'll never be you'#'i'll never be you' <- curse/blessing. despair/resistance#very much echoing 13s attitude to 15 in this fic#i wonder if i could write another sequel with yaz like that#i dont think so but it'd be cool#despair/resistance really feels like. thesis statement of yaz and 13 a little bit#theyre an anti-suicide pact and theyre also a shared self-destruction

Didn't think the 1989 version of The Woman In Black would be scarier than the one with Dan Radcliffe in it
I was Wrong flkjdsafkldsja, but I'm delighted to have been wrong. I had missed getting scared with more practical effects/careful timing of things in the background of shots appearing and disappearing, and this one scratches that itch well.
#text post#also fun seeing how differently they interpreted the characters and how they act#personally i'm realising that the Dan version was sort of. Americanised? Which is probably something I should have realised at first watch#but it only hits now when it's like. how to explain#the casts of both versions are both amazing let's preface with that#but. the Dan version felt very Cinematic. I got scared but was also very aware I was watching An Movie during it#(it got colour-graded quite blue which isn't necessarily a bad thing but it does register in my head as Peak Cinematic for the current time#the version of the characters in this 89 version feel slightly more real? accurate to the culture they come from?#like. there's an American Openness between the ones in the Dan version#they're too open to share and hand out compliments and comments like candy they have too much of#everyone is Nice in a way that feels mildly unrealistic#and when they are mad at each other there's tension but a tension#that to me at least you don't worry abt much bc it just feels almost Already Resolved#and it does sort of just drop off and wind up that way tbh#tho I admit it's been a bit since I read the original story so my apologies if I'm misremembering that it did the same in the book#but I could swear there was more that bit of tension there#anyway it isn't that the 89 characters are all mean but they feel Actually British for lack of better words#they have moments of kindness and do have a general sense of like. yeah they care for their community but also they're getting on w/themsel#and their business and not lingering on the interactions#They're kind but not nice and they just. get on with things which is very nice#and feels more in line with the time period to me/what I expect out of a story like this#anyway speaking of Dan found out the guy playing Arthur in this also played the dad in the gross wizard franchise#which wasn't something I expected to see lol#this is my long barely an essay no one asked for and your sign to go watch the 89 version asap#it's on YT for free which is where I'm watching it so genuinely if anyone want link. got confused today when my boss referred to me using she/her pronouns. forgot I wasn't out as nb at work lmao
#i guess this whole she/they thing isn't quite as accurate as i had thought#my boss said 'she' when referring to me and I almost said 'who?'#so uh#updating those pronouns lmao I don't think I'm feeling the she/her part anymore#still not gonna come out at work though lol I'm not going through all that trouble
