i see the train of thought people go through that makes them want to see tommy kill himself in the end. but i think as someone deeply invested in (often chinese) stories where it concludes with the protagonist's suicide, or at least there is an overarching debate over whether they should commit the deed, i want tommy to live. because i always want them to live! it's personally devastating every time these characters drag themselves through suffering, enduring and enduring, and have their narratives resolve with suicide; the final word is always vital to the thematics of the story, and it's so bleak when that is the ultimate answer it has to give.
not to say i reject tragedies or bad endings and want them to be more positive, the shows i have in mind that do this are very precious and valuable to me. and it's important that they conclude the way they do.
more so, i always find myself dreading a suicidal character going through with it + curious whenever these types of stories can devise some other horror. and there are other possible avenues for tommy maybe, like wandering the wastes without an end in sight for one. but everyone seems to talk about tommy's end like it's a foregone conclusion and also the only conclusion :(
#peaky blinders#me is mark#tumblr user @thehitchhiker1953diridalupino said this before#but i'll echo it regardless#though i recognise pb is a story after western tradition and thus#fundamentally different from chinese stories that way#but all the talk about hlht nezha lhl is making me have strong feelings about this again#rotating (3) tragedies about tortured boys/men & suicide in my mind all at once reminds me#how badly i always want these characters to live#or specifically how badly i don't want them to kill themselves#i love that they do but the futile desire to see otherwise still remains!

It was a normal day for you, laying in bed, reading, scrolling through Pinterest, studying, until-
"Y/n? What is thisss?" your roommate's tone which echoed through the corridor told you he was up to some mischief. You lift your head up curiously as he stumbles into your room, your expression quickly changing when you notice what he's holding. "Jake!" you yelp, rolling out of bed to chase after him.
"I didn't know you owned a pink dildo" he lets out amazed, looking back at your tired figure which was still running after him. He giggles and escapes to the living room, settling on the couch as you follow.
"Oh and it vibrates too!" he exclaims in awe.
"Yeah, now give it back" you breathe, trying to catch your breath.
"Nah, come get it" he lifts his arms up and you scurry to get your personal object back, climbing on his sitting figure as you reach for it, but his arms were too damn long.
"Jake, please, just give it back" you sigh, giving up. You don't even realise you're pretty much straddling him in the position you're at until you feel his other hand on your arm.
"How about we make a deal?" he asks, a playful smirk on his face. "last person to make themselves cum wins"
You deadpan at him "Are you kidding?" you ask in a simple tone.
"Nope, and the loser has to finish the other off" he adds, looking at you hopefully. "Plus I'll give you this back so you can use it in the meantime" he shakes the pink object in his hands, flicking his brows up and down.
You've always kinda liked Jake, he was funny and unserious and just your type. But he was also the person you pretty much grew up with. You were scared to lose such a friendship so you never actually made a move. This was your chance.
You roll your eyes in faux annoyance "Fine. You're gonna be the one cumming too quick anyways. We'll see how good you can give head." you shrug, giving him a pretty smile "Now give me my damn dildo back"
He laughs and places the plastic dick in your waiting hand, before looking up at you, smoothing his hands down your sides. You looked so pretty like this on him, he couldn't wait to see you pleasuring yourself.
You get off him too soon, finding your place at the other end of the big couch, spreading your legs as you snake a hands between them. "Fuck" he curses under his breath, his already-hardened cock twitching in his uncomfortable pants.
He also leans back on the opposite end of the couch, quickly untying the stings of his sweats and sliding them down impatiently along with his briefs. His cock springs out, the angry red tip already leaking precum.
You bite your lips at the sight of him, wondering how he'd feel inside you. One thing's for sure; that pink plastic dick wasn't half as good.
You get comfortable, rubbing your clit through you shorts. "Show me that pussy" he instructs, slowly stroking his shaft. You blush red, smiling at his impatience. Nevertheless, you lift your hips up and slide the shorts down along with your panties which you knew were soaked.
Jake didn't hesitate to grab the black material, bringing it to his nose and inhaling deeply. You roll your eyes and sigh at his pervy behaviour. "Jakeee" you whine "That's dirty"
He doesn't seem to care, groaning at your smell and at the sight of you. "Fuck you're glistening" he points out, licking his lips as he speeds up his pace a little. #
You spread your juice around, circling your hole, closing your eyes at the tingling sensation. His lips almost start to draw blood at the way he's biting them, his hand going up and down his cock quicker.
He can't help the way his eyes are fixated on you, watching your expressions and your fingers touching yourself. He knows he's gonna lose the second you put a finger inside yourself, squeezing his base to calm himself down.
You open your eyes to stare at his, as if in a challenging manner, the sounds of your gushing juices fills the room, his curious eyes looking at where you finger yourself.
"Close Jakey?" you ask in a breathy voice which goes straight to his dick.
He breathes in "N-no" he lets out, his shaky voice betraying him. He can't help himself though. You want him to lose, adding another finger to your tight hole and moaning out loud.
He's done for when you purposely moan out his name, sending him into a frenzy, his eyes roll to the back of his head and before he knows it, his hands are drenched in cum.
You sigh at him "I didn't even get to use my dildo" you faux pout when he slowly opens his eyes, recovering from his orgasm.
"You won't need it" he mutters, getting off the couch and making his way to you. He grabs your thighs and positions you so that you're sitting comfortably on the couch. He doesn't waste a second to sink down on his knees, spreading your legs as he takes you in.
"So fucking hot" he whispers under his breath. He's been waiting to taste you for so long. Smelling your panties just made him more impatient. You nod at him when he looks up at you from between your legs and he dives in.
He flattens his tongue and licks up your folds in one go, immediately humming at your taste. He laps up your juices, swirling his tongue around your hole before slightly prodding it in just to tease you. His licks his way up you clit, kitten-licking the little nub sending tingles up your spine.
"Fuck Jake" you breathe out, subconsciously grasping his hair between your fingers. You push his head deeper into you, encouraging him to suck at your clit. He hums at the little tugs on his hair, the pleasurable sting going to his dick.
He licks back to you hole, his nose bumping against your clit, making you whine out. You can't help but close your thighs around his head, engulfing him into you. He brings his hands up to your thighs, keeping them open before he brings one hand to your hole.
You feel like you're going to explode with his finger prodding at your hole and his tongue on your clit, the stimulation becoming too much. "Fuck, fuck r-right there" you moan out, pulling at his hair to ground yourself.
The way he hums against your folds doesn't help, your hips twitching at the feeling. He starts finger fucking you at a quicker pace, his mouth still working on your clit. All it takes is one last suck on your sensitive clit before your squeezing around his finger and tipping your head back in pleasure.
He eagerly licks up your essence before you push his head away due to overstimulation. You catch your breath as he sits up and settles on the couch next to you.
"Hate to admit it but that was one of your best ideas, Sim" you chuckle out, still in a haze.
"I never come up with bad ideas dumbass" he replies, also chilling back into the couch, allowing you to rest your head on his shoulder.
"We should play this dumb game again sometime" you suggest, trying to place a hint.
"Damn you liked it that much didn't you?" he asked giggling
"It's always nice seeing you lose your own game"
Hi again, thankyou for reading to the end :D I hope you enjoyed it !! Have a good day/night and remember that ily! <333

I think this is a blurb for this larger idea I'm obsessed with
Katsuki could hear crying echoing down the hall. No one was supposed to be in this area during the event, even if they were going through something. Despite that, it could also be a trap before the party is hit, and with that in mind, he crept slowly to the end.
Quickly sneaking a glance around the corner, he had to do a double-take before realizing it was you. You, who let nothing faze you, were crouched on the floor with your back against the wall. You covered your face with your hands, muffling your heavy sobs.
You looked like a painting as you cried in your pretty dress—the venue put you in a picturesque setting.
He suddenly felt bad for you. Even if you were two ranks below him and cocky as shit, Katsuki had never seen you like this before. And with how you're crying, it sounds like you need to let it out—regardless of the security risk.
Katsuki leaned back against the wall, deciding to wait until you cried your fill. As you wept, he felt something crawling under his skin. it only got worse as time went on.
Clearing his throat as humbly as he can, his ear heating up, Katsuki steps around the corner and leans against the wall beside you.
You groan with frustration at the interruption. Quickly, you wipe under your eyes and dry your neck with the back of your dainty fingers. You look up at him with a sneer before your eyes widen, realizing—
Katsuki saw you before the event started. While you were walking in and greeting the photographers with your makeup and hair perfectly done. Now, same as then, Katsuki couldn't take his eyes off you.
You were beautiful.
"Dynamight?" You cough a weak laugh, rising to your feet and stepping away.
"Who was it?" He asks simply, hiding his clenched fists in his pockets.
You scoff, wiping your finger around the rim of your lips, cleaning off the skewed lipstick. You don't notice the spot you missed, but Katsuki does.
"Presumptuous to assume anyone is responsible," you challenge, crossing your arms tightly over yourself.
"Isn't it always like that for people like us?"
You mull over his words for a moment, huffing a reluctant laugh after.
"What are you going to do? Beat him up?" You shrug with a sad smile.
It's Katsuki's turn to scoff. "It isn't beneath me." He can't believe you were crying over a guy. You destroyed a rampaging robot downtown last night, yet you cry over some guy.
Katsuki reaches carefully to wipe the smudge you missed under your lip with the back of his finger, holding your chin steady with his pinky. He's careful not to touch your lips with his dangling thumb.
You laugh softly, turning your head away. "You're ridiculous, Katsuki. The thought of you fighting him is ridiculous."
Katsuki glared down at you, dropping his dejected hand. "Say ridiculous again, and I'll blast you in the face."
You lean in with your eyes glistening from your receding tears. "It's ridiculous you think I can't take it."
Breathing out of his nose, Katsuki cups his hand under your chin, with his finger and thump resting on either cheek. "You're ridiculous if you think I won't do it."
You looked at him expectantly, with no sign of tears but bright with anticipation.
"We should go back to the event," Katsuki turned away, clearing his throat quietly and ignoring his hot face. "Follow me, or don't. The heroes on security can see you look like a mess."
He can hear you grumbling behind him, but it's followed by your heels clicking after him.
"Why were you out here?" You ask him once you catch up. Katsuki shrugged, preparing his answer, when you snaked your hand around his arm.
"What the hell are you doing?"
"You're walking too fast," you argue with a seething look. "My feet already hurt in these, and your pace isn't helping."
Katsuki sighs, raking his free hand through his hair.
"I got bored inside," Katsuki answered candidly. "Maybe I was looking for a fight."
You bark a laugh. "So you came to find me?"
Katsuki huffed again like a dog before reaching up and messing up your hair.
"Katsuki!" You shriek, quickly releasing him to adjust yourself. "You asshole, we're at an event!" As you pulled out the accessories brands paid you to wear, you slowed to a stop with your hand overfilling.
Katsuki held your wrist and eased the trinkets into his hand, before holding out to you for the rest.
You didn't hesitate to use his help.
I wanted to write more, but I wanted to get this out even more. NOT BETA'D

the minute you woke up you could feel it. the pounding headache starting to form. the slight scratch in your throat after swallowing. the sniffle echoing in your empty bedroom.
you took your temperature anyways, and groaned after seeing the red numbers, 102.1.
you didn't remember how you could've gotten sick, but that didn't matter anymore as your brain felt like it was going to explode.
in the matter of seconds your headache had gotten worse, making you groan again. you rummaged through your bathroom cabinet until you found a small pack of pills for a fever and cold. you swallowed them dry before shuffling back to your bed.
as soon as you felt your eyes fully close and the silence around you become comforting, the front door lock started rattling.
shit, you thought. suddenly remembering your boyfriend texting you late last night that he was on the plane back to monaco, after his victory in miami.
lando looks around the quiet apartment leaving his things by the door before his feet carry him through the kitchen and living room.
"love?" he calls out. he was sure you'd still be home when he landed.
"in here lan," you sit up slightly, watching lando open the bedroom door. however the smile instantly falls from his face.
"hey, what happened?" he notices your red nose and congested voice.
"i have a fever," you explain while wrapping the white comforter around you, "so don't even think about coming near me. i don't want you getting sick."
lando just smirked while sitting on the edge of the bed. "what if i wanted to get sick?"
"why would you want to get sick?"
"just to be with you," he shares a dorky smile with you, one you can't help but giggle at.
"can i get you anything?" he asks sincerely, placing his hand over your blanket covered ankle to rub his thumb over the material.
you thought for a moment before responding, "can i just have a hug?"
lando smiles again, a small blush covering his cheeks. "i thought you said i couldn't come near you?" he leans forward anyway.
you wrap your arms loosely around his neck, as his come around to rub your lower back.
"well that was past me, who was an idiot," you mumble after resting your head on his shoulder.
lando chuckles, before kissing the top of your head. your eyebrows furrow when he moves away from you, only to hold his hands open in front of him.
you put your hands in his, regardless of how confused you are.
"we're going to have a very relaxing movie day, yeah? you can pick all your favorites while i run to the store and get snacks and drinks."
you laugh at his eagerness, as he's practically dragging you to the sofa.
"lan, we have food here," you laugh more at your caring boyfriend rushing back to your bedroom, only to come back with one of his hoodies.
you silently put it on, watching him grab his car keys and a hat.
he hands you the remote before kissing your cheek.
"i'll be right back love, just call me if you want anything specific."
before he can leave the living room, your hand grabs his wrist. he turns, slightly caught off gaurd at your action. your hand runs down slightly to hold onto his, and you look up at the green eyes you fell in love with two years ago.
"i love you," your voice fills his ears, and a smile breaks out on his face once more.
"and i love you," he leans forward to place another kiss on the top of your head, before finally leaving to the store.

During an interview, the manor guests suddenly get a question about you.
this is def an experimental format!! i got this idea while reading the character letters. in the POV of an unknown interviewer (not reader). reader uses they/them.
🔗⚰️📰🔮❤️🩹💉🌪️✂️🍀🩰🔫🪡🤹🧲🦋🐍
Q. Could you describe your relationship with (Y/N)?
🔗 Ada - "Yes, that's my lover. I would say our relationship falls within the typical scope of that sort of thing. Of course, I believe we share something special, but everyone does when they're in love, don't they?" She covers all her bases in one decisive breath, leaving little room for me to comment.
⚰️ Aesop sits perfectly upright, fingers threaded at his knees. His eyes drift to the side and he seems to begin speaking mid-thought. "I had... cautioned myself not to upset their perception of me," he explains. "But they pried, and stayed, regardless of what they found... For that, I'm grateful."
📰 Alice has kept a sharp eye on me the entire time, but it's at this question that she drops the formalities. "I wasn't aware you would be prying into my personal affairs. Where did you learn that name?" Her frankness pins me in place. For some reason, I end up apologizing.
🔮 Eli can't help a sheepish smile from blooming across his face. "Well, truthfully... I don't use this term lightly, but they might be the love of my life." He has been consistently grounded with his responses, so I'm surprised to catch him flustered, however subtle it is. Personally, I'm touched.
❤️🩹 Emil considers for a moment. He doesn't meet me in the eye, instead pinning his gaze on nowhere in particular. A faint smile ghosts his lips. After a while, he answers, simply, "Safe."
💉 Emily's hands are folded neatly on her lap. At the mention of that name, her shoulders tense, but she otherwise maintains her composure. "Someone I trust." Her answer is vague and cautious, but acceptable. I'll try to uncover a deeper meaning behind that 'trust'.
🌪️ Ithaqua - "Mine." He is curt and to the point. Yours? I echo, hoping he'll elaborate. His head tilts to the side, and while I can't see the face behind his mask, a sense of dread suddenly overcomes me. I decide not to press further.
✂️ Jack stretches out his hand of blades, flexing each finger in front of him. I can't deny the cold sweat that drips down my spine just by being in his presence. "May I respond with a question of my own?" he says to me. "Suppose a butterfly loses its way, and winds up caught in a spider's web. Wouldn't you agree that the more it writhes and struggles, the more exhilarated the spider becomes?" I don't have the courage to hear out the rest of this analogy.
🍀 Lucky - "I've always been known as a pretty lucky guy, but the luckiest day of my life was when I met them! I remember it was the—" He drags me down a long-winded story about their life together. I get the idea. Eventually I'm forced to cut him off.
🩰 Margaretha twirls a curl of hair, a meek blush dusting her cheeks. "Have you ever been in love before? You're never prepared for the magic of it all. I feel a new rush with them everyday. I know, realistically, all good things come to an end, so I tried to remind myself to expect the worst, but they've proven over and over that... I'll never feel safer than in their arms." After rambling for some time, a look of surprise flashes across her face. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to go off like that. Oh, but I've just never met someone who feels so much like true love before."
🔫 Martha doesn't miss a beat. "Sorry, I don't know anyone by that name." I look down to double-check the name written in her file. Her watchful gaze follows my line of sight. Are you sure? I try. "Must've been some confusion somewhere," she insists. The next day, I realize all my files on her and (Y/N) have gone missing.
🪡 Matthias - "Wh-What?" he starts, but keeps going before I can repeat the question. "Oh, uh, an ally, I guess." Well, I gathered that much. When I press for more details, his head sinks low, fingers grasping at the armrest. "I don't know what they saw in me. Was it out of pity?"
🤹 Mike's eyes light up and he blinds me with a contagious smile. "(Y/N)'s a sneaky one, and I mean it—they've got me under the trickiest spell of all. Guess what happens every time I think about them?" Egged on by his grin, I take the bait. You get lovesick? I guess. Suddenly, he tosses a handful of butterfly glitter in my face. "I get butterflies!" Very funny, I sigh, exasperated with these carnies. Why did he have that on hand in the first place?
🧲 Norton leans back in his chair, scowling. "What's that got to do with anything?" He snaps a couple times in my face, urging me to "stay on topic." It's hard to say if this question struck a nerve, as he's been uncooperative for most of this interview, but my suspicions point me to prod further. After all, it'd have been much easier if he just said he didn't know them.
🦋 Vera's face contorts into a leery, hostile glower. "Why do you ask that?" Before I can say anything to mitigate the rising tension, she catches herself, and her expression softens slightly. "I'm sorry. That's... someone quite dear to me, so your question took me by surprise."
🐍 Yidhra's follower goes pale, clearly unnerved. "She won't answer that," she tells me through shallow breaths. "Th-This isn't my place to say, but I'd advise you not to involve yourself with that person." As if on cue, I get a sensation I can only describe as a hand slowly wrapping around my neck. It disappears when I move to scratch it. Must've been my imagination.

LAST MINUTE ♡
pairing: frank castle x fem!reader
summary: when frank won't give you attention, you have to convince him not to leave somehow...
cw: nsfw (18+), smut, boot humping, praise/degradation
wc: 3.3k
a/n: i love him i love him i love him sooooo badddddd. if you send me asks about this man i'll make out with you sloppy. anyways, comments and reblogs appreciated too <3
kinktober slot: day 25 - boot humping
Frank's eyes cast over to the corner of the room where you're sitting in front of the mirror. He can hear you humming to yourself, your voice rising and falling to the soft tune of a song you'd been obsessed with for the last few weeks. Your fingers smear some lotion across your cheeks. The pads of them massage the cream into your malleable flesh.
Your gaze catches his watching you through the reflective pane. He sees a smile spread across your lips before you turn around and spring to your feet. Your body is only covered by a t-shirt of his along with the pair of panties lying beneath. You prance across the bedroom and glide around to hover behind him.
The scent of your lotion and shampoo from the shower you'd just taken cloud the air surrounding him. It's light and airy, like the vision of you that floats through his head nowadays. He wasn't sure when you'd taken up permanent residence there, though he couldn't really complain. Thoughts of you are better than echoing gunshots or screams.
He hums in acknowledgement of your proximity, giving your forearm a pat with his rough hand. It's smooth beneath his fingertips. So untouched it feels wrong to drag his calloused skin across it.
You don't seem to mind though. Not with the way you duck your head and kiss his cheek.
"It seems like something's bothering you," you murmur, the wisps of your breath brushing over his face.
His attention returns to the weapons in front of him. He focuses on cleaning the parts and putting them back together. Your words were kind of stupid. There's always something bothering Frank. Moments where he has a clear head are few and far in between; reserved for when he's asleep in your arms or balls deep in your cunt.
He doesn't say anything rude though. He knows you're trying to be sweet. The statement is your subtle attempt at offering up your ear. You always told him he could vent. He could cry over the past or seethe about his plans for the night, either way you'd be right there. But that would only be if he ever actually took you up on that offer.
Instead, all you get in response is a grunt before a muttered "'m fine, baby."
You frown. He can see it out of the corner of his eye. Your lips turn into that pitiful little pout that drives him up the wall. Good thing his eyes are locked on a different target right now.
"Are you sure? Feel like you got something on your mind," you try again. Your hands slide up to his shoulders, fingers beginning to tenderly massage his tense deltoids.
"Told you I'm fine," he says again. The words are firm and closed off, but they don't strike you as unkind.
"Wellll… if there was anything wrong, would there be anything I could do to make it better?" you whisper.
Your lips press against his cheek bone again before migrating downward. Your soft, plump lips coasts over his jawline and onto his throat. You feel his smile make a brief appearance on his face, but his hands don't stop rotating the cleaning rag over the grip of his gun. He hasn't abandoned his task for you. Yet.
"There's nothing wrong. Don't start makin' a fuss over it," he grumbles.
"C'monnn, Frankie," you say softly, "Just tell me one thing. Even if you feel fine, just tell me one thing that you'd like."
A few more gentle pecks land on his neck. Your fingers continue to swirl and massage into the tender muscles in his shoulders.
"I'd like it if you got some rest tonight and didn't stay up worrying about me or watching the news," he responds.
You roll your eyes. Of course, you were gonna do that regardless. You always worried about him when he was 'working.' He'd spend the hours out taking care of what - or who - ever, and you'd occupy that time in your apartment doing just as he said, pouring over news reports and bouncing your leg until you were so tired your eyes couldn't stay open if they wanted to.
"Be seriousss," you whine, growing more petulant with him.
He glances over at you upon hearing that tone. That rise in pitch never did you any favors with Frank. He didn't fall for the puppy eyes or quivering lip.
"I am serious. I don't want you worrying or stressing. I'll be back tonight, and I want to come back to you sleeping in bed. Not watching for me at the fire escape," he says.
"Ok well pick something I can actually give you now," you concede.
Space. That's what he wants to tell you. Not in an annoyed way. He loves your touch, adores feeling your body heat oozing off of you. But it's hard to get in the mind frame of a killer when your breasts are pushing against his back and your nose is gliding over his throat.
He doesn't say that though because he knows no matter what tone of voice he says it in, you'll only take it in the 'I'm sick of you' way.
"What makes you think I need anything?" he asks. He puts the handgun he'd been working on down on the table and picks up a larger assault weapon instead.
"Oh my god, you're so difficult," you huff, "I'm just trying to be nice to you. I don't like seeing you all grumpy and stressed."
You may not have liked it, but grumpy and stressed was the version of Frank you saw the most. It was the one you fell in love with. The one that spends the night here in your apartment most days of the week. The one who's hoodies you wear. The one who holds you while you sleep and grunts against your skin when he has a bad dream.
"I'm not. I'm just thinking. You're making something out of nothing, sweetheart," he chides.
"You know… I think you just don't want to admit that you need a night off," you say, nodding in agreement with yourself.
"No."
"Just wait. Don't shoot it down before I explain," you try to reason.
"No," he says again.
"Yes! You'd feel so much better if you had one single night to relax," you argue.
He looks at you with a bit of disbelief. "I can't just call in sick. There is no 'night off,'" he says. His tone is strict, no room for negotiation or bargains, but that doesn't stop you from trying.
"I know, but you don't have to go out. You could text your 'people' and they could do whatever for the night," you say. His people is the term you call whoever he works with. You know there's at least one other guy, he's just never told you any names or details. "Just one night to let me take care of you. It would be good for you. And plus, I miss you," you pout.
He eyes you for a moment, dark pupils scanning over each small curve of your face. The pause gives you hope that he's considering it. That maybe he'll choose to stay with you instead of the shipping yards or rooftops.
"Don't give me that 'I miss you' act. You know I miss you too, but I can't just stay with you and sit on my ass all night cause you think it's the magic cure to me being a hardass," he says.
You narrow your eyes as the look on your face likens more to sulking.
"It's not magic… just if you rest, you'd be less uptight," you say. You loop your arms around his neck again and smoosh your cheek against his, letting the prickly spikes of his stubble scratch you.
With a little sigh, your attention shifts to what he's working on. He's still cleaning the metallic item on the desk in front of him. You watch his hands work, moving in methodical swipes. Efficacy learned from years of experience. Still, it's so boring to you that you can't even come up with a question to feign interest. Not that he'd answer anyways. He didn't like involving you in his other job.
You puff air through your lips to signify your apathy. "Frank…" you whimper, right by his ear, soft and quiet.
Usually, you avoid asking him to stay home. You never complain about the awkward hours or inconsistent time you get with him. You don't accuse him of being uncaring or allege that he's using you. But maybe it's the fact that he so blatantly denied you tonight that has your mind acting up.
"Quit while you're ahead, baby. I don't wanna argue before I leave," he says.
"I'm not trying to argue. Why can't you just consider it?" you ask.
"You know why. Now, enough," he says, bringing the discussion to an end.
Your head slumps over onto his shoulder, your ear flush against the cotton of his shirt. Of course, you know why. You know why this stuff is important to him. And it makes you feel guilty for even suggesting a brief reprieve from it.
Sagging down, you slide around to the front of his chair and drop to your knees at his feet. You rest your head on his thigh, displeasure displayed across your lips.
"You're so mean to me," you mutter.
He glances down at you, smirking a little at your exaggerated defeat. "You think so?" he prompts.
"Mhm," you hum, nuzzling against the denim covering his leg.
You scoot a little closer to his leg, pressing your torso flush against the limb. Closing the distance brings his foot to rest right between your legs. You feel it, but you don't care to notice it yet. Instead your fingers massage his calve absentmindedly.
The bedroom is quiet for a few moments spare the sounds of fabric rustling and both of your soft breaths. He just watches you for a few moments before you feel his hand pet the curve of your head.
"So unfair," he says.
You suppress the smile wanting to show on your features. The look of joy at receiving his attention. His thumb swipes back and forth over your skull. The warm weight of his palm coasting over you does soothe ypu even if you still wanna act coy.
"Yeah, especially cause I just wanna spend time with you," you sigh.
"You'll get to. Tomorrow," he responds. You can hear the clipped amusement in his voice.
Just as quick as it came, his hand leaves your head. It's back to the table. He moves onto a knife now, cleaning some grimy stain that you don't even want to know the origin of.
Shifting your head upward, you rest your chin on his knee and glare at him. "But-"
"I'm not gonna tell you again the answer is no."
The words die in your throat, leveling down to a whine. "See? Mean," you say.
You turn your head back to his side, squishing your cheek against his knee. The hard bone divots the soft flesh of your cheek like a crater on the moon.
You're content to just sit in this position and rest there until he stands up to go. To cling to his leg like the words "please please please" are about to spill from your lips. But in your deflated state, you sink down a bit more. You relax the muscles in your thighs and inadvertently bring the seat of your panties in direct contact with the scuffed top of his boot.
It doesn't shoot bliss through you like a bolt of lightening, but it sparks a fuse in the pit of your belly. The solid curve of it slotted right up against your clothed heat.
As an experimental touch, you grind your hips down. You make sure to be subtle, not wanting him to see what you're doing before you can determine if it's worth the humiliation. The muted sensation of pleasure that fills your belly answers that question quickly though.
Once you get the first taste, you rock your hips back and forth in little bursts. It wouldn't be noticeable to a quick glance, but a more intentional look would catch the way your ass pushes forward and back.
What gets him to notice is the feeling of you gripping his leg tighter. You press the hard front of his shin between your breasts and down your stomach harder. That gets him to look in your direction. When he does, he finds the sight of you getting yourself off with his boot.
"What're you doing?" he asks, giving you the chance to explain first.
"Nothing," you answer almost instantly.
"Doesn't look like nothing. Doesn't feel like nothing," he says as he tilts the point of his shoe upward. The boost grants some more friction to your clit, drawing a sharp whine out of you.
"Might have to get you a collar if you keep acting like a puppy, baby," he teases.
"I'm not," you whimper. You press your face harder against his knee as if it could act as a shield against the embarrassment.
"Really? Whining and humping my leg like you're in heat doesn't count?" he mocks.
"Shut up," you choke out.
"Attitude," he tuts. He shakes his head before his eyes flit back to the weapon on the table, letting you do your thing.
And you take advantage of that. Your hips move back and forth like a pendulum. You can feel the thin cloth of your underwear getting sticky as arousal leaks from you at the soft stimulation blooming between your legs. Your poor, swollen clit presses on the firm material as you let out a raucous whine. He tsks at you from above.
"It's getting late. You might wanna keep your volume down," he says.
The words come out so dismissive, so passively entertained. As if you're merely background noise. You can't help whining again. Your grip tightens on him, and your hips move in broader circles. If he's just going to let you do this, you're going to take advantage.
More sparks of white hot pleasure fizzle between your thighs. Your cunt ruts over the expanse of Frank's boot in quick strokes. The fabric of your panties only serves to provide some extra friction. Your eyes flutter and your cheek feels numb from the pressure of his kneecap again.
It feels as if you're in your own little world while doing this. Even if you're attached to him, it still seems like you're in a haze of your own at the moment. Just a lusty daze focused on making yourself feel good.
Vaguely, you can hear the clicks of his equipment above. The rustling of pouches and cloths. The clunking of organization. It all means nothing to you. The only thing you're concerned with is how your folds spread across the shape of his shoe.
You mewl softly. A trickle of saliva leaks from your mouth onto the rough fabric of his pants. All your thoughts have melted away. Your limbs stay locked around his leg, ensuring you have secure leverage to rock yourself back and forth.
He still doesn't acknowledge you. His eyes stay on the table. Honestly, you would believe he didn't even know you were there if not for him lowering his foot and then raising it again. The motion gives you a burst of stimulation, an interruption to the rhythm you'd set for yourself.
A desperate whine crackles out of your throat. You spread your thighs further to get down on him and press your aching pussy against him harder.
"Frank…" you whimper before biting your lip for a moment.
This time he doesn't disregard the call for him. He reaches down, sweeping his hand over your head and cupping your jaw. He directs you to look up at him and gets clear view of your empty eyes.
"What is it, baby?" he asks. His thumb brushes back and forth across your lower lip. The simple touch is enough to send you into orbit.
"I…" you try to start. But words are hard to conjure when thoughts have become nothing more than memory. "I love you," you end up choking out.
He chuckles. "Yeah, you do," he agrees.
You whine and lower your head again. Your body doesn't stop swinging your hips. His hand migrates back to the top of your head.
"I love you too, sweetheart," he says. His voice rumbles out low and quiet, so gravelly you can almost feel the vibrations in your bones.
He continues to gaze down at you. His eyes drink in the sight of you getting yourself off on his leg. Your hips constantly drag over the seamless surface of his shoes. Cute little noises pour from your mouth in a never-ending flow. Your eyes scrunch up and your nose crinkles when rushes of euphoria course through you.
"You gonna cum on my boot, doll? Gonna make a mess?" he rasps.
You nod eagerly. "Mhm. Mhm. Mhm," you whimper. In direct contrast to his, your voice floats into the air light and soft.
"Do it. Maybe I'll have you lick it up afterwards. I know you'd do it. Shit, you'd probably fucking like it," he says.
That's all you need to rush the spark on your fuse to the end and send you into an explosion of pleasure. Your back arches and you cling to his leg like it's a lifeline. Your grip gets so tight that had you been more lucid, you probably would have worried about cutting off his circulation.
Your pussy clenches around nothing, your walls fluttering with the urge to feel him spilling inside you in unison. Regardless, you keep rabbiting your hips and working yourself over the peak. Your noises come out more whiny and full of need, aching to hear his grunts in your ear.
As blissed out as you are, your droopy eyes still catch sight of the solid bulge in his pants. You hold out hope that maybe you'll get to have some of what you long for before he goes.
The intensity of your high begins to simmer down to a satisfying warmth as you reach the end. Your hips move slower and slower until they come to a stop. You catch your breath, panting and leaning against his leg totally lax.
He doesn't say anything. He just finishes up what he was doing and lets you come down on your own.
After a few minutes though, he does scoop you up off the ground and into his lap.
"That feel good?" he asks.
Your head bobs up and down.
"Looked like it," he grumbles.
"Not as good as it would've felt with you though," you murmur.
He stares at your content, post-release face. It's not a surprise you want more. Had you not hinted at wanting him to fuck you properly after that, he would have been actually concerned for your well-being.
"Guess you'll have to wait till I get back to find out," he says lowly with a kiss to your temple.
"But Frank…" you say, lazily sliding your hand down. The center of your palm lands on his swelling bulge, giving it enough pressure to drag a hiss from his lips.
He pauses, lets you stroke him a few times. It feels good. He knows he should just push you off. Should send you off to bed now that you're all nice and relaxed. But he can't resist that light caress.
Sighing he lifts you and steps over to the edge of the bed. Dropping you back on the mattress, he starts to remove his belt.
"You got fifteen minutes, ya little brat. After that, I'm still leaving," he tells you before dropping forward and hovering over your body, bringing your lips into a brisk kiss.

the night we met II m.earps x reader
another installment on the date to remember series! find the masterlist here the night we met II m.earps x reader
"okay tiny. lets take it from the top!" your wife announced as you watched on with a smile from the kitchen where you stood making dinner. your daughter nodded determined, taking her starting position as mary clicked play on the track.
"one and two and three and four. one and two and three and four." mary counted slowly, clapping out the beat as delilah spun and danced around the living room in her tutu. "forgot it." she stopped it halfway through with a frown, bottom lip clenched between her teeth.
"hey hey thats okay tiny we still have lots of time before the concert and you have class with miss lily again tomorrow." mary smiled kindly, dropping down into a squat and opening her arms as delilah shot into them and buried her face in your wifes neck.
the footballer caught your eye as you both shared a sympathetic look, delilah exhaling shakily clearly feeling some big emotions as mary squeezed her tightly, rubbing a hand against her back and mumbling assurances in her ear.
"hey lilah." you called out and the small girl who was practically a carbon copy of your wife pulled away and looked up at you. "i need a taste tester. do you know someone who could help me?" you stroked your chin as if deep in thought.
"maybe liam from next door babe?" mary suggested as you gasped and clapped your hands. "perfect! i'll call his parents." you feigned as if you were reaching for your phone, a thundering of footsteps sounded before a small body crashed into your legs.
"no!" delilah hugged your leg and frowned up at you. "no? do you know someone else who could help me then?" you questioned as your daughter nodded furiously. "me! me me me me me! please." delilah chanted over and over again.
"you? hmmm i don't know." you sighed with a shake of your head as the tiny brunette stuck her bottom lip out, giving you her best puppy dog eyes as you melted. "well okay. you've got the job tiny!" you scooped her up as she cheered, kissing your cheek sweetly as you sat her down on the counter.
"mama too?" delilah questioned as mary joined the pair of you in the kitchen, the goalkeeper tickling your daughter illiciting an adorable set of giggles. "mmm i don't know. mama isn't normally very good at taste testing, only eating!" you teased your wife who gave you a playful glare.
though her attempts to advance on you were stopped by a wooden spoon poking at her chest holding her off. a finger pointed menacingly at you instead, your eyes rolled and the taller girl stepped back as you turned to the food.
though the momentary lapse was all mary needed to smack your backside and duck away as you shot her a glare. "hey! don't hit." your daughter echoed the warnings she was often given when getting a bit too rambunctious during play fighting with mary, poking your wifes shoulder as your glare switched to a grin.
"yeah mary, don't hit!" you mocked with a smirk and a wink. "say sorry to mummy." delilah ordered, arms crossed over her chest and a stern frown that scarily mirrored marys own on the pitch on her face.
"i'm very sorry, mummy." your wife pulled you into a hug, winking at you now with the last word as you rolled your eyes but a slight blush coated your cheeks regardless. "now kiss, gotta kiss after a fight." delilah ordered again.
"love we weren't fight-" mary tried to explain but as your daughter raised her eyebrows and widened her eyes her words fell short. "she gets that from you." mary mumbled with a small shake of her head, pressing her lips tenderly against yours, one hand reaching out to subtly squeeze your bum before she stepped away.
"well she gets that from you." you nodded to your daughter who had her finger up her nose. "delilah yuck we don't do that!" mary groaned, pulling her hand away and telling her off as her mini me frowned in annoyance.
"taste testers needed please!" you called out as her frown melted away replaced by an eager smile, little legs swinging to and fro as you scooped up a spoonful of the satay sauce and blew on it so it was cool.
your daughter opened your mouth expectantly as you smiled and fed her, mary stepping around you and sticking her own spoon in. "very good!" delilah nodded her approval firmly as you attacked her face with kisses and she giggled.
"mmm needs some more salt babe, bit sweet." mary criticized as she sucked on the spoon and you stopped to raise an eyebrow at her, delilah mirroring your facial expression. "christ its terrifying i have to deal with two of you." your wife mumbled with a shake of her head.
"no need to be jealous she's following in my footsteps and not yours baby." you smirked, marys face falling as you bumped her out of the way with your hip. "not funny. not funny at all!" mary frowned with a huff, having a hard time accepting delilahs current dreams of being a ballerina and not a footballer.
"little bit funny, definitely gonna keep teasing you about it." you whispered, leaning in and stealing a kiss from the older girl who huffed.
"lilah are you sure you don't want to play football like me? you love when we kick the ball in the backyard with your aunties!" mary protested, still refusing to truly give up on her legacy.
"can't do ballet and football mama!" delilah replied in a duh tone with a roll of her eyes, and normally you'd tell her off for the sass but it was simply too cute today.
"you can. you totally can!" mary argued, moving to lean on the counter beside her. "don't want to." delilah shrugged as you coughed to cover up your laugh and felt your wifes eyes burning a hole in your head.
"i'll get you on a football pitch in an england kit one day tiny, mark my words." mary threatened playfully, wagging a finger as delilah poked her tongue out, mary repeating the action as they took turns pulling faces at each other.
"hey lilah baby mama is gonna take you to dance class tomorrow okay?" you reminded as mary pulled herself up to sit on the counter beside your daughter.
"why?" delilah questioned, her favourite word at the moment. "cause mummy has an appointment." mary answered as your daughter looked on confused. "why?" the girl repeated again.
"i have to go see doctor amanda and talk about some grown up stuff." you poked her nose and fed her a piece of chicken as she hummed happily, mary tapping you with her foot and opening her mouth expectantly as you rolled your eyes but fed her a piece too.
"why?" your daughter scrunched her face up as you smiled. "because i do! no more why's. so you and mama get to go together to dance tomorrow." you chuckled as you poured the sauce over the chicken.
"don't want mama to take me, want you." delilah frowned as mary gave her an odd look.
"why not? we can sing to whatever song you want in the car tiny and even go visit aunty less or aunty tooney after!" mary tried as delilah shook her head, face unchanging.
"no. want mummy to take me!" delilah demanded and you both recognized the slight wobble in her bottom lip that she was dangerously close to a tantrum.
"why don't you want me to take you lilah?" mary asked gently, trying to mask the hurt you saw in her eyes. "cause mummy knows how to dance and you don't, so want her." delilah frowned as the hurt in marys face turned to offence.
"i can dance!" mary exclaimed, hopping down from the counter with a scoff. "not like mummy can." delilah exhaled, opening her arms and looking to you expectantly as you moved dinner off the heat and scooped her up into a hug.
"i don't need to dance like mummy, i'm better." mary puffed her chest out and made a face as your daughter clung tightly onto you and shook her head. "you know lilah it was dancing that made mummy like me." mary stated as you scoffed and raised an eyebrow.
"really?" her head poked over your shoulder curiously as mary nodded. "really. i'll tell you all about it after dinner and i once i do you'll never want mummy to take you to ballet ever again." mary challenged as you rolled your eyes at her theatrics and put delilah down so she could help set the table.
~
"very good! thank you for your help baby." you smiled as you handed delilah a clean spoon and she carefully placed it down in the drawer, sat on marys hip now the three of you had eaten dinner and washed up.
"story now?" the girl looked up at mary who smiled, the gleeful look in her eyes setting off alarm bells in your head. "bath first tiny, you smell!" mary sniffed her and gagged jokingly, holding the girl away at arms length who gasped.
"do not!" "do too." "do not!" "do too." "you smell mama!" "nah its you, phwoar!" mary tutted shaking her head, flipping your daughter upside down and carrying her off toward the bathroom as her giggles bounced around the house.
you were ready to sit down and enjoy the brief ten minutes of peace you'd get whilst mary was occupying delilah but someone clearing their throat in the doorway interrupted that.
"your presence is requested in the bathroom or else the child is refusing to bathe." mary announced in an accent making you sigh with a smile. "that's your daughter." you poked your wifes chest as you stepped past her.
"excuse me if she gets her stubbornness from someone my love its you!" the taller girls arms snaked around your waist, pulling your back into her front. "mm but whose the one arguing about it? seems a bit stubborn that you're so bothered babe." you teased, head falling to her shoulder and staring up at her.
your wife mocking you under her breath and pulling a face you grinned and moved a hand to grab the back of her neck, tugging her down into a kiss.
"hurry up please!" you broke apart at the sound of the little voice singing out from the bathroom, the two of you chuckling as mary pecked your lips a few more times and let you go.
"dancing story!" delilah groaned impatiently as you tugged one of marys shirts over her head, your wife watching on amused. "she gets her lack of patience from you." you mumbled to the goalkeeper as you traded positions.
"alright! get comfortable, get comfortable." mary waved her hands about as delilah practically jumped on top of you causing you to grunt, wiggling herself about until she was satisfied as you both sat on her bed.
"now tiny, as i said before it was my dance moves that made mummy fall in love with me-" mary started as you scoffed and raised an eyebrow as mary held up a hand to stop you from commenting.
"-fall in love with me, eventually!" mary corrected, the two of you having been best friends for years before finally realizing you both maybe wanted to be more than that.
"it all started at a party."
"two hours and i'm leaving." you warned your best friend who'd dragged you to this party in the first place, where you'd have much more been looking forward to a quiet night in.
"boo! you are such a stick in the mud man." sophie groaned as she grabbed you both a drink. "i'm simply a woman who knows what she likes, which is her own company!" you smiled and took a sip as the girl beside you groaned.
"oh! there's jacob." she perked up seeing her boyfriend wave at her from across the room, downing her drink and handing you the empty cup. "you're going to drag me here and then ditch me? soph!" you whined, putting down her cup and grabbing her wrist.
"i'll be ten minutes! then we're going to dance." your best friend promised, kissing your cheek and tugging her hand free as she raced off and you sighed deeply.
finishing your drink and grabbing another you started to leave the kitchen, only as your eyes roamed the room trying to find someone else you knew you hardly paid attention to your surroundings.
you swore as you tripped over something, or well, someone.
you looked down to see an unfamiliar girl sat on the floor, drink in hand and a bright grin on her face as she looked up at you. "hi." she beamed unapologetically as you raised an eyebrow.
"is sitting on the floor and tripping people up your party trick or something?" you questioned with a roll of your eyes as she leapt up to her feet. "matter of fact it is. i'm mary!" she thrust her hand out toward you and you had to marvel at her confidence.
introducing yourself you shook her hand, the two of you falling into conversation as your previous annoyance melted away, truly unable to stay cross with the enigmatic girl in front of you.
you looked away at the call of your name, finding sophie waving at you from across the room still with jacob, gesturing to the game of beer pong set up in front of them.
"well. looks like you need a partner and i am a terrific shot so you're in luck!" mary slung an arm over your shoulder and grinned. "are you always so forward?" you laughed in amusement as she shrugged. "nothing some liquid courage can't help." she knocked her cup against yours and guided you both over to the table.
"no fucking way, no way!" you slurred with a giggle, you and mary sat outside on the back deck, party starting to slowly die down in the house behind you as you were now both quite drunk.
"i can i promise!" mary grinned, eyes a little droopy from the copious amounts of alcohol you'd both had as the night dragged on. "you're telling me you can do the dirty dancing lift? nah you're full of shit." you shook your head firmly.
"i can! i'll prove it." mary decided, downing the last mouthful of her drink and pushing herself up to her feet. "come on." the dirty blonde held her hand out at you, wiggling her fingers.
"wait-no!" you realised what she wanted you to do, the girl rolling her eyes and grabbing your hands anyway hauling you up. "yes. i'll even give you a running start!" mary grinned as she stepped down into the backyard and backed up a little.
"while i'm young then!" the taller girl rolled her eyes and clapped for you to hurry as you hesitantly placed down your drink and joined her on the grass. "i really don't think-"
"what? you chicken?" mary taunted making you frown. "no! but i hardly know you and i don't fancy a broken neck." you scowled crossing your arms.
"good thing i don't intend on breaking your neck then. come on!" mary encouraged, gesturing for you to run at her as you huffed, the alcohol and hit to your pride at being called a chicken fueling your next moves.
you ran at mary as she asked, the girl bracing and readying her hands however completely underestimating the amount of alcohol running through her, things did not go according to plan.
as her hands grabbed your hips she miss stepped and suddenly you were barreling into her and her back was thudding into the grass as both of you smacked heads.
"you fucking idiot!" you groaned, rolling off of her as the two of you lay on the grass catching your breath. a beat of silence passed before suddenly marys body began to convulse, the girl clutching at her stomach as she laughed.
unable to stop yourself you quickly joined in, arm covering your face as the sound of your laughter echoed around the empty yard.
"you know normally when i do it, because i can do it, i haven't had about a litre of vodka."
"so you and mummy fell down?" delilah giggled as mary finished recounting a much more child friendly version of events. "yeah she dropped me!" you tutted, making a silly face at your daughter whose giggles doubled.
"did not! babe i slipped." mary whined crossing her arms. "do you still think mummy is a better dancer than mama?" you whispered to delilah who nodded with a cheeky smile. "we can't hurt mama's feelings." you warned as delilah paused to think.
"you can take me to class tomorrow mama." delilah announced with a smile as joy flooded marys face. "if you lift mummy!" the girl added as the smile widened on your wifes features but was wiped from yours.
"deal." mary agreed instantly with delight. "no way." you shook your head, your daughter standing up on the bed and starting to jump and chant. "yes yes yes yes!" mary joined in as they both jumped up and down and you tried to withhold a smile.
"fine!" you gave in with a sigh, grunting again as delilah dove on top of you with a cheer. "but you little miss are going to bed afterwards. its already past your bed time!" you warned tickling her as she thrashed about giggling.
"right. ready love?" mary grinned wolfishly as delilah stood on the lounge in the living room bouncing excitedly. "no!" you sighed stood across from her, the same cheeky smile on her face that had been all those years ago.
"go mummy go!" your daughter ordered with a clap as mary gestured for you to run. with a quick prayer mumbled under your breath you set off, mary bending slightly as she braced and grabbed your hips.
"jesus!" you gasped in shock as suddenly you were in the air, your wife holding you up and spinning you slowly in a circle as your daugter oohed in surprise.
"told you. would i ever let you down?" mary smiled softly as she placed you back on your feet, stealing a kiss and stumbling a little as delilah crash tackled into her legs.
"mama my turn! my turn!"

masterlist | playlist
If looks could kill, [Name] would surely be dead. Since her lecture started 2 hours ago, she could feel someone staring at her. She did her best to figure out who it could have been but the lecture hall stretched too far to the point that people on the other side were essentially too small for her to see if they were even looking across the way.
She should have gotten used to this by now but she still wasn't. It had been days since her and Benji started "dating" and going out in front of the public. They had developed a routine; he would pick her up after work and her night lectures since he didn't have class around those times and take her to wherever she needed to be for that day and then walked off.
It seemed to have been fooling everyone. From the amount of people that would come up to her and pester her about what they were and how they even got together ("Do you think they'd buy into the idea you asked me out at the store?"/"Definitely."), they had managed to get everyone to think they were an item. Regardless, the treatment of being near invisible to being known by name had made her a little unnerved.
She did her best to seem unbothered by the newfound attention, the boring drolls from her Research Methods professor an open distraction. She focused on the class, making sure to note what confused her and that she had to review after she gets home today.
When the class had finally finished, [Name] had walked texted Benji quickly that she would take longer to go out before walking down to talk briefly about an assignment with the professor. It was a simple question but per usual, it had almost turned into a mini lecture where he had to explain his answer from the beginning. She could have fallen sleep there, had she not heard someone call Benji's name.
She glanced back, spotting Benji waiting from inside the classroom. He stood by the door with a crowd of people, talking animatedly. He must have made a joke when some people had laughed so loud, it echoed through the chamber. An easy going smile was on his face, though [Name] can tell it was more practiced than anything.
He looked down to where [Name] stood with the professor. An amused look crossed his face as he spotted the professor before pointing at the seat closest to him and waving to the crowd as they left before going on his phone. [Name] continued to nod along with the professor before finally feeling relief when he ended the conversation.
She had practically ran up the stairs, meeting Benji's gaze and smacking his shoulder lightly as they walked out. "Don't laugh."
"Why? Its funny watching someone practically nap standing up." Benji says, grabbing her bag off her shoulder. He looked ridiculous; the pinkand cream backpack contrasting greatly against his dark attire. [Name] had told him multiple times he didn't have to grab it from her, but Benji insisted.
"I'd do it for my real girlfriend so I'll do it for you." He argued again and again.
"Professor Dondarrion is such a bore." [Name] grumbles as they make their way outside. "All I asked was how to run a function on the system and he went all the went on and on about something else!"
"Yeah, that's why you get rid of Research Methods during your first year," Benji advises, grabbing her hand and lacing their fingers together. She could feel the cold metal of his bracelet pressing against her skin as they walked. "Professor Martell is only available to first and final years here but makes the class interesting. Not to mention she's hot--"
"Nice way to remind me you're still just a man." [Name] countered, though she was more amused than anything else. Most of their walks together always consisted of Benji cracking some kind of crude joke that made [Name] cringe or laugh before they would run out of things to say and walk in silence together.
The first few days were nearly unbearable; the awkward silence and the fear of saying something offputting was enough to keep [Name] from doing or saying anything too damaging. Benji had been the first to break the tension when he had slipped on the wet pavement by her apartment. She wasn't sure she had laughed as hard as she did that day.
Still, some things felt missing but she hadn't had the chance to bring it up or was even sure if she wanted to bring it up. She was definitely sure Benji knew too; after all, he was a lot more perceptive than he led himself to be. Maybe he didn't know how to bring it up either. Regardless, if they felt something was off, they need to address it before it goes too far.
She tugged Benji's hand when they reached the crosswalk, directing themselves to the opposite way of either of their apartments. "Let's go somewhere before we head home." She only offers up. Benji goes along with it, letting her lead him to one of the overnight diners, King's Harbor.
Benji eyed the restaurant suspiciously. "Don't loonies only come in here?"
"Yes, you're looking at one right now." [Name] jokes quietly as she pulls him in. The diner was small, the inside seemingly taking them back into the 60s with the signature red and white leather chairs and a jukebox that hadn't worked in ages. Old posters of movies [Name] couldn't recognize besides Rosemary's Baby hung around in places where LED lights weren't swirling about along the walls.
"What a sight to see!" Yelena Hull calls out from behind the counter. "You're usually here past midnight, dove."
[Name] smiled. "Ah, well, I wanted to take my - ah..." She glanced at Benji sheepishly. "Benji to the diner."
"I'm her boyfriend." Benji states matter of factly, earning an elbow to the stomach by [Name]. He gave her an innocent look. "What? I am."
Yelena looks over at Benji, a smile breaking out of her face before turning to [Name]. "Well, lets get you and your Benji a seat!" She ushered the two to a corner table, just below the Rosemary's Baby movie poster. "Your favorite seat. And first good luck!"
Yelena sent a wink toward [Name], who covered her face in embarrassment as she walked away. "You'll have to excuse Yelena; I'm probably one of the only ones at the diner that doesn't disrupt her graveyard shifts."
"Why do you come here past midnight?" Benji asks.
[Name] motioned to her backpack. "To study. I can't really focus if my bed is a couple of feet away, you know?"
Benji gives [Name] a long look for a moment. "Do you just... Study and work?"
"Most times," [Name] admits. "But that's not why I brought you here. I know this little... Agreement we made is a little strange and we definitely didn't really start off on any proper footing so I guess I just wanted to, I don't know--?"
"Get to know each other more?" Benji suggests, making [Name] nod.
"Yeah - nothing too deep. Just simple stuff like favorite color but I think that's kind of obvious." She eyes his dark blue linen shirt and black pants before darting to her clothes - from her pink sweater to pink ribbons pinning some of her hair away. "But you know what I mean - we get to at least talk about something while we pretend to date."
"You're not wrong. Though not sure I want to hear about what you learned in class today." Benji says.
"I don't talk about class every day!" [Name] says back, throwing a balled up piece of straw cover between his brows.
Benji huffs, "Ha! Liar. You always talk about classes with me whenever I take you home. I swear, I know about your information science classes more than my own business classes."
"Because I had nothing else to talk about." [Name] counters. "Which is why--"
"We're here. I get it. But I still doubt you do anything fun."
The notion made [Name] glare at Benji, who only offered a smirk in response. When he'd gotten comfortable enough with her, he had ended up some weird mix of the Benji's she's seen: friendly and a provoker if he was in the mood.
[Name] rolled her eyes. "I'll have you know that I don't just study. I have actual hobbies."
Benji leaned into the table, a grin on his face. "Yeah? Like what?"
"I collect Peach Riots when I get the chance, go to the Kingsroad Market every Saturday and find a new recipe to eat while I watch horror movies--"
"Horror movies, huh?" Benji asks, glancing at the poster beside them. "And does that involve anyone?"
Chiara had only ever watched with [Name] if she was worn down long enough by the latter. It had taken her nearly a month and a promise to take the trash out that same month to convince her roommate to watch the Halloween series.
"Usually just me if Chiara can't or won't do that with me." She answers truthfully. "Your turn."
"I like hanging out with my friends." Benji starts, pausing a moment to think. "We go the bars and clubs around here often and sometimes go on weekends trips. Most times, though, we go to the beach just a couple miles from campus and have a campfire. Its only a couple of us but they make it really fun."
He seemed content when he spoke about his friends. Chiara hadn't been joking when she mentioned only sticking to a few people. [Name] wasn't even sure she saw him with them when they were just walking around campus, save for the Tully brothers who always made sure to make their friendship with Benji be known.
It made her wonder what it would be like to have a friend besides Chiara. [Name]'s first year had consisted of her constantly working shifts if it wasn't during the days she was on campus. Not to mention, CIC's small and elite population had her at a disadvantage since cliques and friend groups were already formed.
"Sounds nice." [Name] says to him, glad he was receptive to her impromptu change in their routine. Faintly, she checked the watch on her phone. "Am I holding you back, by the way?"
Benji shakes his head. "Nah. I got nothing tonight. Now, about those horror movies: what's your thoughts on that Texas Chainsaw Massacre remake?"
"Oh my god, do you have all night?"
The rest of the evening had been just that; movie hot takes and soon figuring out that both of them having an affinity for spicy food, even if Benji's mouth is burning a thousand degrees. By the time they had left the diner, they both had nearly everything to say and the walk felt shorter for [Name], which disappointed her greatly since they had gotten into the topic of Aeron Bracken's unusually inflated ego and how Benji went by his middle name "Davos" during Year 5 to 7 before dropping it because too many people were confused if Benjicot and Davos were the same people or not.
The night ended on a good note. [Name] had been more than eager to see Benji again soon instead of dreading trying to figure out what to say to him during their walks. Momentarily, she reminded herself about their agreed conditions and Benji's question from when they first spoke.
"We can't even be friends?"
Had they become friends? [Name] wonders to herself as she settled into bed that same night. For a moment she wants to push against it; making new friends outside of high school was tricky. Regardless, she felt a sense of calm and ease around him that she hadn't felt with many people here.
She pushes the panicked thought back as she closes her eyes, wondering just how interesting the next coming weeks will be now that Benjicot Blackwood seemingly found a way into her mundane routine.

nothing more, nothing less
Kaz Brekker was acquainted with different monsters. Those wrapped in expensive silk and bathed in sickening perfume. Those who spouted beautiful lies, enticing unwitting men into their dens. Those with hands stained crimson, preying on children and fools alike. His reflection on a mirror.
But the green-eyed beast proved to be a terrifying match.
Or, Kaz gets jealous.
✦ kaz brekker x gn!reader | grishaverse
✦ tags: jealous kaz, lieutenant!reader, (kind of?) enemies to lovers, set sometime after the events of crooked kingdom
"Brekker."
"Darling," KAZ drawled without looking up at your arrival, his tone more mocking than affectionate. "You're two bells late. Do you have the—"
A roll of parchment zipped through the air, landing in the middle of his desk with startling accuracy and ruining the neatly arranged blueprints spread atop it.
"I told you to quit calling me that," you muttered darkly. "One of these days, I'll really cut off your tongue."
He huffed, concealing his amusement. He enjoyed calling you all sorts of endearments after discovering how easily they riled you up.
There are times when Kaz allowed himself to feel, to act, like a boy again. Reconcile with a distant past, one that echoed Jordie's voice and carried the smell of fresh grass.
This was one of them. Similar to a child, Kaz reveled in your attention. Regardless if they came as threats, insults, or downright disdain.
He'd swallow a bullet first than ever admit it, though.
"How terrifying," he said, unfazed, and made swift work of straightening out the floor plan you brought him.
Silence fell, interrupted only by the soft shuffling of papers. From the corner of his eye, he noticed you shifting your weight from one foot to the other.
Normally, Kaz would come up with some sort of excuse to make you stay, but it seemed that something was on your mind.
And so, he waited.
You cleared your throat. "Do you need anything else?"
No, but thank you. You did well. Please, get some rest, his thoughts supplied. He ignored them. Instead, he simply settled on, "No."
His movements stilled. The question was unusual, especially coming from you.
"Nothing more, nothing less," you had once told him, seated on the ledge of a stadwatch tower that overlooked Ketterdam's shores. He'd nodded in agreement back then, mesmerized by the early sunlight that caressed your face.
You lived by the old saying for as long as Kaz has known you. After all, when you grew up in the Barrel, you'd learned early on that acting out of the goodness of one's heart only left a person broken. Penniless. Or worse, dead.
As such, you weren't the type to seek additional assignments without an offer beforehand. The fact that you had gone out of your way to ask was... suspicious.
His eyes finally flicked to yours. He could never afford to look at you for too long, as it was becoming increasingly difficult for him to stop once he started.
He cocked his head to the side and searched your gaze. "Why?"
You blinked, clearly caught off guard. He rarely indulged you in idle conversation or pried into your affairs.
Nothing more, nothing less.
Because despite everything you've been through together, this was the nature of your relationship too. Neither of you tried to change it, even after every scar he unraveled and laid at your feet.
Even after numerous nights spent confined in his office, shoulders almost, but never brushing one another as you pored over schemes for hours.
Even after repeatedly saving each other's necks and during the intimate silences that followed when the adrenaline wore off. Moments taut with charged tension, heaving breaths, and unspoken truths.
"I've got plans," you explained rather cryptically.
"Plans? Has someone else hired you for a job? I hope you don't forget that you belong to—"
"No, someone asked me out on a date."
Me, insisted the voice in his head, rich with desperation. You belong to me.
Kaz scoffed in disbelief. "A date? In Ketterdam?"
Fear clawed its way up his throat, determined to make itself known. It warred with another emotion he was too proud to name.
This... feeling was absurd. Sentimental. Kaz was no stranger to loss.
The seas granted Inej her freedom. A new chapter awaited Jesper and Wylan. Nina stumbled upon a second chance at love. Matthias found peace.
Yet, deep down, each farewell left him a little more empty than the last.
You were bound to Ketterdam only by virtue of being the Dreg's sole lieutenant. In truth, nothing else was preventing you from leaving.
Leaving him.
After promoting you, a tiny seed of guilt buried itself in his cold, wretched heart when he realized he held you back. That he never gave you the opportunity to pursue your dreams. Your position forced you to assume several roles, to fill in the shoes the others had given up.
But his greed outweighed his guilt and Kaz was a selfish man indeed.
The mere idea that someone could whisk you away from him brought forth a hateful bitterness from within.
"Where is the unfortunate fellow taking you?" he asked, keeping his voice deceptively calm.
You narrowed your eyes, ignoring the jibe. "It's a quaint little bar called 'none of your business.'"
Nothing more, nothing less. The phrase taunted him now. The green-eyed monster inside him rattled his ribcage ferociously, driving him to boast.
He curled his fingers around the desk's edge tightly. "Funny. I run the entirety of the Barrel, and I don't recall an establishment operating under that name."
"I'll have you know that he actually owns the place he's bringing me to," you snapped defensively.
Good, good. More information.
"And how long have you known each other?"
You shrugged. "A few weeks."
The answer relieved him somewhat. His possessiveness ebbs, its rhythm steady, before it swelled again, rising with the current of his emotions. One should always be more sure of everything. He'd learned that the hard way.
"And he's aware of who you truly are?" Kaz pressed on. "Of what you do?"
There were only a handful of possibilities. The person could have ulterior motives for approaching you. It wasn't unlikely, considering your power was only second to his.
Perhaps it was a spiteful soul he'd wronged, plotting to take advantage of you and get revenge on him.
On the other hand, there was also a chance that they weren't privy to your true identity. He couldn't blame anyone for wanting you but it was common knowledge whispered in the streets that Kaz Brekker was a man unwilling to share.
Anyone who didn't heed that advice and went against it anyway was just recklessly bold. Or stupid. The Barrel never seemed to run out of those.
This time, you broke away from his gaze. "It doesn't matter." You sniffed, feigning indifference.
The person didn't know then, he surmised. You probably met him during one of your undercover assignments, disguised and masquerading around with an alias.
Sensing his disapproval, you attempted to defend your date-to-be by adding, "He's kind. Sweet. Honest."
Everything he was not. The words, sharp as glass, ripped him apart. Crushed him with an overwhelming weight of sorrow.
"It seems naive of you to form an impression of him in such a short amount of time," he said through gritted teeth.
Pretending as if he didn't care should have been easy for him. Right now, all his years of experience in perfecting that charade were useless.
You rolled your eyes. "Not everyone is cynical and distrusting of the world like you. People can be good, Brekker."
And you deserved everything good and more. Better people could love you, he knew.
Someone who would not flinch every time you drew near. Someone who would freely kiss away your every fear.
Kaz had survived gunshots. Knife wounds. Sickness, nightmares, and grief. But the very thought of someone else soaking in your warmth was an ache he could not bear.
He felt the words scorching his tongue, his demons voicing them with unbridled cruelty. "There is a difference between being cautious and acting like a love-sick fool!"
Your eyes widened in shock, hardening in anger a second later; then they softened with disappointment, and all Kaz could see was the reflection of himself, a frenzied animal. A blown fuse. Inhumanely hollow.
He opened his mouth to speak, beg for your forgiveness, but you had already turned and walked away.
"I'll come back when you aren't hissing at me like a wet cat," you said, slamming the door behind you.
Kaz clenched his gloved hands into aching fists and hung his head, trying not to think of how jealous the idea of another man made him.
He wasn't too late. Dealing with his emotions was uncharted territory for him but scheming came as effortlessly as he breathed.
Kaz never lost a fight and he wasn't about to start now. Even if he needed to play dirty. His greed outweighed his guilt and he wasn't called Dirtyhands for nothing.
"Brekker!"
Kaz had just finished speaking with another gang member, Roeder, when he heard the heavy stomp of your footsteps, followed by the frustrated yell of his name. You appeared on the stairway landing soon after, rage thundering in your wake.
"You're dismissed." Kaz waved to Roeder. His eyes shifted to you momentarily and cast Kaz a wary glance. Not wanting to get caught in the crossfire, he scurried off, slipping past the both of you.
Kaz began to ascend the stairs, you trailing behind him. He could sense that you were shooting daggers at the back of his head, probably cursing him out silently.
"You're back early," he finally said once you entered his office. He circled back to the same place you'd left him hours earlier and sat in his chair. "How'd the date go?"
You stormed closer, wedging yourself between him and the desk, stopping him from hiding behind the pretense of work.
"You know exactly how it went," you snarled.
In spite of your anger, you remembered to maintain your distance. Not once have you commented on his aversion to skin-to-skin contact, though he was certain you harbored your own questions.
"I'm afraid I don't, darling." He raised his chin to hold your gaze, his expression carefully blank. A tailored mask. "I wasn't there."
"You had him taken by the Dregs." The hurt on your face was unmistakable, enough for Kaz to feel a tad remorseful.
It was hardly sufficient, though. Screw righteousness, old habits die hard. "Ah, I had no idea he was your date," he lied again.
"Bullshit."
"But, what I do know is that he laundered money from our coffers and forced children into building the same tavern you were just in."
Kaz went over records of the jobs you'd accomplished in the last two months. After connecting the dots, he successfully identified your date and paid Roeder to look into his background. It was pure luck that the man was a merchant who managed to con Kaz's old boss.
Pulling the strings for his capture was practically child's play. Not that he'd ever tell you that.
Your fury dissipated, replaced by defeat that slumped your shoulders. "You were right," you said quietly, avoiding his eye once more. "I'm sorry."
Kaz rose from his chair and stepped forward. Taken by surprise, you backed away instinctively, only to find yourself trapped by the desk now digging into your hip.
"Let me make it up to you," he spoke with an unfamiliar softness. It almost sounded wrong.
You furrowed your brows in confusion. "What?"
"I ruined your evening. I could have ordered the others to seize him after you finished dinner."
But I didn't want him to walk you home. Wrap his coat around your shoulders. Kiss you goodnight at the Slat's doorstep. Kaz would've probably loaded his pistol at the sight. Broken every limb that touched you with his cane.
You snorted. "Okay. Are you going to give me whatever we steal next? Increase my cut?"
"No, although we can discuss it another time. I'm inviting you out on a date."
You blinked once. Twice. Slowly, you said, "Brekker, you ask someone out when you like them."
His lips pulled into the slightest frown, mildly impatient. "I know."
"You don't like me."
"Whoever put that silly idea in your head?"
"You did. You don't like anyone."
"I may not be the best at showing it, but you know that there are exceptions to that rule," he argued. "Especially when it comes to you."
He continued to lean over you, ignoring the pressure of panic beating against the walls of his chest from the proximity.
"You called me an idiot," you countered. You refused to move a muscle, most likely out of consideration for him, but he closed the distance himself.
He dipped his head further. "Again, I never said that."
"Fine," you conceded, sounding fond. "You implied that I was an idiot."
"I'll be kinder from now on," he promised. "I can try to be sweet, if you give me time and chance to learn. And I'm being honest right now."
Nothing he could do would ever atone for his sins. But although he was renowned as the Bastard of the Barrel, he was prepared to do it right by you.
Hesitantly, you raised a hand. Every inch of his flesh wanted to turn itself inside out, but every bone in his body yearned for your touch.
A quivering sigh escaped his throat as you reached for his cheek, your fingers warm and gentle on his skin.
He braced himself for the familiar scent of death. The ocean. He willed himself to focus on the details that made your face. The line of your jaw to your ear. The slope of your nose. The curve of your lips, hanging onto them as if his life depended on it.
It did, in a way.
"Your answer?" he rasped, suppressing a shiver.
You dragged your thumb against his skin in a delicate but paralyzingly manner and whispered, "I accept."
He had never been held with such tenderness before. Your touch made him feel like he was somewhere else, far from the memories that haunted him.
Growing concerned, you attempted to withdraw your hand but Kaz grasped your wrist before you fully could. He steadied himself with your pulse, each beat, each hymn, anchoring him to the present.
He was here. With you. In his office. Nothing in the world could hurt him.
Eventually, he slid his own gloved hand so that your palms pressed together. Your lashes fluttered and you asked, "Is this really happening? Are we really going on a date?"
He hummed in affirmation. "And I'll do it properly."
Seriously, who in their right mind would bring you to that side of Ketterdam? He took the sealed envelope containing your dinner reservation from inside his coat and handed it to you.
"Thank you." Your mouth curved into a shy smile. "And for the record... you don't have to be anything else other than yourself."
"Ruthless, callous, and dishonest cheat?" His voice held a hint of insecurity, betraying his attempted nonchalance. It was a question hauled from the inner depths of his soul, the boy inside him who wondered if he could ever be worthy of love.
"You forgot insufferable," you teased, although your earnest gaze belied the lightness of your tone. He knew you could see right through him. "But, yes. Just you, Kaz. Nothing more. Nothing less."
At that moment, Kaz knew you would be his salvation and destruction. You could shatter his heart and every single piece would still cry out for your name.
He squeezed your hand. Soon, he'll make you, and everyone else in the Barrel, realize that he had no intentions of ever letting you go.

So, here’s the request lol
Fem reader x Ghost
Reader zones out a lot, doesn’t zone back in for awhile and keeps unfocusing their eyes. Ghost sees this and takes care off them.
Would be interesting to seee how König handles this too but that can be a post for another day lol
Have fun and stay hydrated hun 🤍
i'll be damned, i'm zoned out most of the time myself 😂 and i'm sure a lot of people relate as well, it's like i'm here but i'm not here lol. here have both 🤗
Reader x Ghost + König | How They React to You Zoning Out Often
Simon 'Ghost' Riley
Even before you two were together, he noticed how you'd... go somewhere else. You'd sit there and stare off into space, in deep thought? No, you wish it was just deep thoughts. You couldn't really help your dissociation.
Sometimes you could respond to a quick question, but most times, you really were in another world.
He'd gently tap you on your shoulder and bring you back with his soft voice. "Lovie. Hey, come back to me. 'S alright."
Here lately though, it's gotten worse. You catch yourself zoning out more than usual, your eyes unfocusing as well.
You'd been sitting in the living room watching one of your favorite shows. Ghost walks in from work, happily greeting his lovely wife whom he loves coming home to. He took a shower and changed into casual clothes before he joined you, but when he walked in his happy expression turned into a worried one.
"Babe?" he called out, sitting next to you. No response. "Y/N...?"
You were staring off into space, not unusual, but you weren't responding - physically or verbally. He reached out to rub your back. You didn't even flinch. Just a few moments ago, you greeted him happily, even smiled at him. He leaves the room for a few minutes and comes out to you like this. It always worries him.
He sighs before he gets up and turns the lights off, closes the blinds to a point there's not much sunlight coming in and he shuts off the TV. He kneels down in front of you and grabs your hands in his.
"Y/N, doll, hey..." he reaches up to cup your cheek. Your expression still blank, though your eyes move, he leans up and places a loving kiss on your forehead. You finally start to come back and you take in a deep breath. "There she is, my sweet girl. Are you okay?"
"Yeah, I'm okay," you smiled. You're not exactly sure why you do this, it slightly worries you but it's clear it worries Ghost more than it does yourself.
"I get so worried about you," he sighed. "There has to be something or somewhere we can go to see what's goin' on, is there?"
"Probably," you nervously laughed. "But there's not much they can do about it... I don't like doctors... or any of that sort."
"Regardless, I'll be here for you," he smiled. "I love you no matter what and I'll always take care of you."
König
Before you got together, he thought he had upset you the first time you zoned out. You two were having an at-home date, and you zoned out in the middle of your meal. You didn't mean to, it just happened.
Once you opened up, he made it a point to make every environment as comfortable as possible in hopes it would help lessen your moments.
He was so sweet and understanding about it, too.
He'd kiss all over your face and hold you so tight until you came back to him.
He had taken you out on an evening picnic, away from people, but close enough to take in the view of the beautiful lake as the sun was setting and you watched some ducklings and their mothers waddle into the lake.
You both finished your food and here you were laying in between his legs, back against his chest. You rested your head on his shoulder while you talked about nature and how it was such a beautiful night.
"It's not as beautiful as my Maus," he complimented you while he kissed your forehead.
You giggled, humming in response before you both fell in a comfortable silence.
Moments flew by, it was getting dark, but you didn't know that at the time.
"Maus? Maus?" his voice echoed, although you couldn't make out his words.
"Oh, Meine Liebe (my love)," he cooed as he gently grabbed behind your knees, now cradling you as he placed soft kisses all over your face. "I'm right here. It's gonna be okay."
He rubbed your cheeks, rocking you back and forth in his big arms, shushing and cooing at you, trying everything to bring you back. He kept his eyes on yours, which were focusing and unfocusing, slightly darting back and forth but he knew that you were zoning out.
"Oh, my dear," he smiled, rubbing your cheek faster as he saw your eyes start to flutter, blinking rapidly to wet your eyes that hadn't blinked for a good moment. "Is she okay? Do you feel alright? Let's get you back home."
"Mhm," you lazily agreed, looking up at your boyfriend who made you feel so safe even in these vulnerable moments. There was no one else in the world you'd rather zone out around; with him, you were safe no matter the state you were in.
A/N - This was actually very comforting to me personally! I know zoning out isn't the exact same for everyone but I only hope I captured this well. Thank you for the request @almightywdm <3

MATTHEO RIDDLE- Beg For Me
Chapter Fifteen-Info: You and Mattheo have been butting heads for months, since you were assigned as his tutor, and one day during a session full of tense bickering, he has enough.
(This will essentially be a toxic book where we are Theos fucktoy. No love here, very minimal fluff.)
Tags: this chapter is literally just angst. complete freakin angst. two broken hearts that refuse to acknowledge it. pretty poetical. i know i said no love but now im not so sure.
****FIND THE REST OF THE CHAPTERS HERE.
"You're coming with me, Emily," you asserted, arms crossed over your chest, your eyes narrowing at her as she was lazily sprawled out on her bed, clearly uninterested in your predicament. "There's no way in hell I'm going alone...you can bring Michael."
Emily let out a dramatic groan, her hands instinctively flying to rub her tired eyes. "But...there's a Gryffindor party that night too...we'd much rather go to-"
"Emily!" you interrupted, advancing across the room toward her bed. You leaned against the footboard, your expression pleading. "Please, please...after everything that happened with Berkshire, I'd prefer not to go back into their bloody common room by myself...plus I don't even drink! Like I don't even know-"
"Okay, okay!" Emily hastily sat up, cutting you off as she sensed your rising panic. "Gods, you're giving me a headache...I'll talk to Michael about it..."
A sigh of relief escaped you, but the tension still clung to your shoulders like a heavy cloak. You spun around, the weight of uncertainty pressing down on you as you threaded your fingers through your hair in frustration, each strand a tangible reminder of your racing thoughts.
Your mind buzzed with a whirlwind of worries. What should you wear to fit in yet not draw too much attention? How would you deflect offers of drinks without seeming rude or standoffish? And most pressing of all, how did you even find yourself entangled in this mess? The truth was, your inability to refuse others had led you down this labyrinthine path, a maze of social obligations you couldn't escape.
Emily's voice broke through the heavy silence, as delicate as the softest feathers--cautiously adjusting her tone now that she'd sensed just how stressed out you were.
"Hey, you'll be fine," she reassured, her words a gentle caress in the midst of your turmoil. "You're with Tom, he'll make sure no one bothers you, I'm positive of it."
Emily's comforting words washed over you, but beneath the surface, your thoughts spiraled into a tumultuous whirlpool. The past two weeks had been a stark contrast to the passionate chaos you'd experienced with Mattheo. Since ending things with him, your tutoring sessions had turned quiet, punctuated only by the distant echo of pages turning and the bland murmur of academic based conversations.
Although Mattheo continued to give you his full undivided attention in your sessions, the silence hung heavy between you, a reminder of the void left by your fractured connection.
And in the midst of this emotional vacuum, you found unexpected solace in Tom's company. The regular meetings continued, but they had expanded beyond the boundaries of academics. Flirting had entirely woven its way into your conversations, each playful word adding a charged tension to the air. Now, his invitation to the party on Saturday night dangled before you like a tempting, yet daunting, prospect.
However, regardless of his advances, your feelings for Tom were far from romantic. It wasn't love that stirred your heart when you thought of him, but rather a sense of obligation. The Guild, with its intricate web of social dynamics, demanded a delicate balance. To maintain your position, you felt compelled to go along with Tom's desires, to keep up the facade of mutual interest. It was a game you didn't want to play, but the stakes were too high to ignore.
As Emily's reassurances attempted to quell your anxieties, the knot of obligation tightened in your chest. The looming party represented not only a night of uncertainty but also a reluctant sacrifice to uphold your standing in the Guild. The weight of your choices pressed down on you, a reminder that sometimes, obligations could feel as suffocating as the absence of passion.
"Yeah," you responded, your voice a grumble underlined with frustration. "Talk to Michael and let me know what he says... I'm heading up to the Tower, I just need some time alone."
Emily's expression softened, sympathy flickering in her eyes. "I'll handle it," she assured you. "Take your time up there, lots of stars to count, wouldn't want to miss one because you're rushing..."
You rolled your eyes at her snark, chewing on your lip to stifle your grin. "Yeah, yeah." You said. "Thanks, Em."
With a bleak smile, you grabbed your bag and pushed out of your dorm room, mind racing as you made your way up to the tower, the castle covered in its usual blanket of darkness, given it was already past eleven pm.
You thought back to that first week of tutoring sessions after you and Mattheo had called things off, how every moment spent in his presence felt excruciating. Sitting in such close proximity to him--being forced to look into his deep, intoxicating eyes, trace the scars that adorned his skin, and fixate on those perfect lips while knowing you'd never get to be anything other than platonic was a torment for your already aching heart.
For those initial days, your mind was a battleground of conflicting emotions. Thoughts of what it had felt like to have his hands exploring your body, pulling you close against his firm frame, haunted your every waking moment. His newfound silence only served to further infuriate you, although the reasons for your frustration remained elusive--you had wanted this separation, knew you needed it more than anything, yet part of you resented how effortlessly he seemed to cast everything aside, as though it had all been a meaningless fling to him, despite the amounts of passion you'd experienced.
The internal turmoil left you in a relentless tug-of-war between contentment and bitter disappointment. With every missed touch, resentment began to coil in the pit of your stomach. Despite yearning for the way he made you feel, your chest was a maelstrom of conflicted emotions. Gratitude warred with irritation; you were thankful that your life lacked complications that could jeopardize your post-graduate career, yet infuriated that Mattheo hadn't even tried to fight for you.
It stung, the way he seemingly dismissed you as though you were just another girl, another notch on his belt, disregarding the depth of what you shared.
Or, you guessed at this point, what you thought you had shared.
As you settled into the quiet solitude of the Astronomy Tower, the vast expanse of the night sky above became your sanctuary, the stars twinkling like distant diamonds against the vast canvas of space. It was your haven, a place where you could lose yourself in the mysteries of the universe. Surrounded by your celestial charts and notebooks, you immersed yourself in your research, the quill in your hand gliding over the parchment as you recorded your observations.
In the midst of your cosmic exploration, a sudden intrusion shattered the tranquility of the Astronomy Tower. Mattheo, his presence unexpected, settled down beside you. The mere sight of him sent your pulse racing, a rapid drumbeat in your ears. You shot your head around, scanning the surroundings as though you'd forgotten where you were, your mind racing with questions. Why the fuck was he here? The unexpected encounter left you beyond shocked, your eyes wide with surprise and curiosity.
"Matt-" your voice faltered, the surprise of his presence momentarily stealing your words.
"Couldn't sleep," he muttered, his voice carrying a weight of restlessness, as if the night sky outside held answers he desperately sought. "Don't allow me to interrupt."
He cut you off before you could regain your composure, not even bothering to spare a glance in your direction. His eyes remained fixed on the stars, his silence echoing louder than any words he could have spoken. The unspoken tension between you hung in the air, heavy and palpable, a reminder of the unresolved emotions that lingered beneath the surface.
"Um, okay." You cleared your throat, attempting to steady your voice, and resolutely returned your focus to the celestial tapestry above.
The stars glittered, seemingly oblivious to the complicated tornado of emotions unfolding below. As you continued your silent analysis of the night sky, you became aware of Mattheo lighting up a cigarette. His movements were deliberate, every flicker of the lighter, every draw from the cigarette, seemed to carry a weighted significance. Despite your attempt to ignore him, you could feel his eyes on you, his gaze like a tangible presence that bore into your skin, even without direct contact. The night stretched on, the only sounds the soft crackling of burning tobacco and the occasional rustle of paper as you made notes, each moment steeped in a tense stillness, waiting for something to break the fragile equilibrium.
And then, Mattheo's voice sliced through the quiet of the night, his question hanging in the air like a challenge. "What are you even doing?"
His question caught you off guard, a shock registering in your eyes as you assumed he was merely asking to mock you. Nevertheless, you gathered your composure, your passion for your research overcoming your initial surprise.
"I'm studying how stars and planetary alignments affect magic," you explained, your words measured yet enthusiastic. "The positions of celestial bodies influence magical energies, shaping the potency of our spells. Understanding these cosmic patterns is like deciphering the universe's manual for mastering magic."
Mattheo's eyes narrowed, a hint of skepticism coloring his voice. "Stars affecting magic?" he said, his tone dismissive yet laced with a sliver of intrigue. "Seems a bit far-fetched, Raven."
His words hung in the air, laced with icy indifference, yet there was an undeniable glimmer of curiosity, a flicker of interest that betrayed his cold exterior. You met Mattheo's skepticism with a determined gaze.
"It may sound far-fetched, but it's already been proven that magic is intertwined with the cosmos," you replied, your voice steady. "The alignment of stars and planets creates unique energy patterns. Understanding these patterns can give us an edge in harnessing magic. It's not about belief, it's about tapping into the natural forces of the universe..." you let your words linger for a moment, finally dropping your quill and releasing a long sigh. "Why are you always so dismissive of everything? Don't you have dreams Mattheo, don't you have passions?"
Mattheo took a slow drag off his cigarette, the ember glowing brightly before he released a plume of smoke that danced in the air, curling and twisting like ethereal tendrils. His eyes, usually guarded, met yours, holding a glimmer of something unreadable.
"Everyone dreams, Raven," he said, flatly. "But life isn't a fucking fairytale, sometimes dreams are crushed before they're born."
Your silent reaction spoke volumes as you studied his face, the way his chocolate curls framed his brooding eyes, holding countless secrets within their depths. Mattheo's words slowly dug into your shoulders, heavy with the weight of harsh truths. You released a long sigh, the reality of his words settling in, before you cautiously spoke.
"If everything was dipped in gold, it'd never grow..." you whispered, your voice soft yet resolute, as you turned your eyes back to the stars. "And not everything sweet is sugarcoated, Mattheo...sometimes life stings, and you have to fight for what you want, but that doesn't mean you toss away the wand, does it?"
For a moment, Mattheo's silence hung heavy, punctuated only by the soft exhale of smoke curling from his lips. The tendrils of fog obscured the canvas of stars, casting a mysterious veil over the night sky. When you turned to meet his gaze, you discovered his eyes already fixed on you, their depths shimmering with an enigmatic intensity.
"Even stars burn out, Raven," he said, his voice a low, gravelly murmur that seemed to echo the somber truth of the universe. "Sometimes, there's nothing you can do but watch."
Something panged in your chest, a jolt of pain spreading through you as Mattheo's words settled into the night air. For another brief, fleeting moment, your eyes met, and there was a flicker of understanding between you. You glimpsed his lips, and he glimpsed yours, a silent exchange of unspoken sentiments.
Swiftly, you looked away, turning your attention to the moon, its silvery glow casting an ethereal light upon your face, silently gathering yourself as you fought off the heat that was swarming your cheeks.
"You know what I appreciate more than the stars?" Mattheo's voice cut through the night, a hint of intrigue in his tone as he finally shifted his gaze off of you. "The moon."
You raised an eyebrow in curiosity. "And why is that?"
"It's the one constant," Mattheo replied, his gaze fixed on the night sky. "Stars might fade, flicker, but the moon persists...it's just...there." His voice was calm, almost distant, as if he was lost in thought. "No drama, no shows...just silent influence--one that can pull an entire fucking ocean from shore to shore...that's a power that can't be diminished. Subtle, yet absolute."
You nodded slowly, your eyes meeting his in the dim light of the night. The world around you seemed to fade away as you felt your pulse increase, an unspoken tension hanging between you.
"Silent influence," you murmured, your voice thoughtful. "A power that commands without demanding, a force that shapes without shouting…I think it’s a potent reminder of strength in simplicity."
"Beauty, too," he whispered, his voice almost a caress. "A reminder of the beauty in simplicity."
The words danced around you, laden with prescribed meaning, and you couldn't shake the feeling that there was something more to this conversation, something unspoken yet deeply felt. A vast silence filled the space around you, thick with a growing tension as Mattheo's eyes, intense and unreadable, locked onto yours, their depths echoing a multitude of emotions. You felt his fingers graze against yours as they were planted on the ground next to your thigh, a subtle yet electrifying touch.
At the feeling of his flesh grazing yours, even in as something as simple as this, your breath hitched, and a rush of heat surged through your body, making every nerve ending tingle with anticipation. After two whole fucking weeks, just as you’d finally stopped moping, just as you finally felt as though you could breathe without thinking about him, it was as if the universe itself had conspired to bring you two together in this charged moment, leaving you both suspended in a space where words were unnecessary, and the raw connection between your souls spoke volumes--his hand, touching yours, this is how galaxies collide, you thought.
"It's been two weeks since you've even bothered to bloody look at me, Mattheo..." you whispered, your voice trembling like fragile autumn leaves in the wind, scared to acknowledge the reality of your situation, but knowing you needed to. "It all meant nothing to you, yeah?"
Mattheo's gaze remained unwavering, his expression stoic and seemingly emotionless as he absorbed your words. His silence spoke louder than any response he could offer, leaving you with a hollow ache in your chest. The pain of his indifference cut deep, a stark contrast to the fiery passion that once consumed both of you.
Finally, he spoke, his voice low and filled with a restrained yet undetectable emotion. "Even if I said it didn't, would it really fucking matter, Raven?"
At his words, your heart rung, realizing that no matter how desperately you clung to the fragments of what you once shared, the reality was undeniable--the passion that once ignited between you two had flickered out, leaving only smouldering embers in its wake, and there was no reason for you to be upset over it--given that this was exactly what you fucking wanted.
Yet, with a heavy heart, you turned away, your gaze fixed on the distant horizon, searching for solace in the vast expanse of the night sky. You found yourself unprepared for the intricate complexities of your current reality--finding it amusing how your parents had dutifully cautioned you about the monsters lurking under your bed and the cruelty of schoolyard bullies, but never bothered to forewarn you about the captivating chaos that a disheveled boy with pretty eyes; ones that seemed to hold the fucking galaxies in their midst, and a demeanour infused with smoke and silver-tongued eloquence, would bring into your life.
"It would matter to me, yes." Your voice quivered as you confessed, the vulnerability in your words palpable in the night air--you kept your eyes fixed out in front of you, not daring to look at him. "I haven't been able to stop thinking about you, Mattheo..."
Mattheo scoffed, pulling out another cigarette, his movements deliberate yet filled with a sense of bitterness.
"You seem perfectly happy distracting yourself with my brother," he retorted, the words laced with a harsh edge.
Frustration welled up within you, your hands rising to your face as you rubbed the tension from your eyes, trying to find the right words amidst the chaos of emotions.
"Gods, you're unbelievable...that's exactly what ruined us, Mattheo," you said, your voice firm and weary. "Your constant issues with your brother, your need to control every damn thing... I just can't decipher your fucking intentions. Whatever 'us' meant, it drowned in the chaos you brought into it."
Mattheo's expression remained unreadable, a storm of emotions flickering behind his eyes. He took a slow drag from his cigarette, exhaling the smoke calmly before he finally spoke, his words weighed down by an unspoken burden.
"Maybe some things are just meant to drown, Raven." He said, bluntly. "You and I both know that."
You met Mattheo's gaze squarely, your eyes filled with hesitation and the weight of unspoken truths--his flat dismissal of your words bothered you, sparking irritation through your veins, but you couldn't drop his prior insinuation regarding his brother--it was time you cleared that up once and for all.
"For the record," you began, your voice faltering slightly, "I don't feel anything for your brother. I never fucking did. It was never, ever about him." The confession hung heavy in the air, your heart pounding as felt as though you’d revealed a vulnerable piece of your soul. "It was always about you," you added, your voice barely above an audible whisper. "I..."
"Stop," he said, his eyes flashing with a mix of anger and desperation. His body tensed, as if bracing for an impact. "Whatever you were about to say, don't say it."
Mattheo's voice came out as a sharp command, cutting through the tension like a knife through the darkness. His words lingered in the chilled night atmosphere, a heavy barrier between you, guarding his emotions like a fortress wall. Your throat tightened, constricting like a vice around your words. Each beat of your heart felt like a war drum, its thunderous rhythm drowning out any other sound.
"Why?" You hardly croaked.
"Because," Mattheo replied, his jaw clenching with the intensity of his suppressed emotions. "There are two fucking things in life you can't take back, Raven--bullets and words.“ he paused for a moment, inhaling a sharp breath. “Always make sure you hit what you aim at, and that you mean what you fucking say.”
Mattheo's words hit you like a tidal wave, crashing against the fragile walls of your resolve. The words rolled around you, creating a unstable bridge that stretched across the chasm between your bodies, threatening to collapse under the weight of suppressed emotions--and after a moment that felt like an eternity, you exhaled, accepting his now-hardened demeanour and deciding to just drop it, you switched the subject.
"I...I was just going to say...Tom invited me to the party in your common room on Saturday," you whispered, voice trembling as much as your fingers were. "I plan on going."
Mattheo's body tensed, his jaw tightening even further, as if to mask the rising anger within him. He avoided your gaze, his fists clenching involuntarily, struggling to contain the emotions surging beneath his calm exterior.
"And do you think that's a good idea?" His words sliced through the air, sharp and pointed, echoing the turmoil within him. "Have you ever attended a party here, even once?"
You shook your head, your voice barely audible as you admitted, "No, but I can't say no to him, Mattheo...I can't jeopardize my position in the guild. I've worked so hard for it, my entire educational career..." the desperation in your tone was palpable, the weight of your responsibilities bearing down on your shoulders. "It's rather maddening how quickly I transitioned from one Riddle capable of shattering my fucking future to another...it's like I can't catch a break."
The space between you and Mattheo sat heavy with unspoken words, an abyss of silence that seemed to stretch on endlessly. The soft glow of the dim light accentuated the shadows dancing across his face, emphasizing the muffled frustration etched into his features. Each puff of his cigarette punctuated the quiet, adding to the palpable tension in the air.
"I wasn’t planning on going to that," he finally replied, his voice carrying an unusual firmness, as if he was trying to convince himself too. "I quit all that shit."
Your voice caught in your throat, shock freezing your words as you tried to process his revelation.
"You-" you began, but he cut you off, his tone flat, devoid of its usual edge.
"Drinking, drugs," he said, his eyes meeting yours with a glint of determination before he gestured towards the cigarette between his fingers. "These are next."
You struggled to find your voice, your mind racing to comprehend the magnitude of his decision. The man who had drowned himself in alcohol more times in one week than you could count on two bloody hands had fucking quit it all. It was almost impossible to believe.
"Wow," you breathed, your words laced with a mix of disbelief and exasperation. Part of you still rolled with disappointment over his absence at the upcoming event, but a flicker of hope dared to spark within you. "That's great, Mattheo...that's a huge step for you..."
Mattheo's silence hung in the air, his eyes searching your face as if seeking answers in the depths of your gaze. Time seemed to stretch, the weight of the world seemingly sitting heavy between you. With deliberate slowness, he blinked, extinguishing his cigarette on the ground beside him, never breaking eye contact.
"You're too good, Raven," he whispered, his voice surprisingly steady, resonating with a mixture of admiration and regret. "Such an angel...you should know, I was never unaware that you fucking saved me."
His words hung there, pregnant with meaning, as if he was acknowledging a debt he could never fully repay. The vulnerability in his eyes was a stark contrast to the usual stoic facade, revealing the depth of his emotions in that fleeting moment. Mattheo's gaze continued to bore into yours, his eyes intense as if he had stumbled upon something precious he couldn't bear to lose.
In a move so gentle it felt like a caress, his hand lifted to your face, his thumb tracing a feather-light path over your cheek. His voice, soft and tender, carried a weight of sincerity that resonated deep within you.
"Everything will work out..everything you've worked so fucking hard for will eventually pay off," he whispered. "I would have never deserved you."
Your stomach twisted, and your heart seemed to pound against your sternum with a deafening resonance, drowning out the world around you. You couldn’t feel your fingers or the cold or the fucking emptiness of your heart because all you could feel was him. All you could focus on was the overwhelming fucking urge to climb into his lap and kiss him until you couldn’t breathe, kiss him until the only thing embedded within the tastebuds on your tongue was his fucking taste. He is everywhere, he is everything--in every pulse of your desires and the depths of your soul, and then he whispered,
“I will be there, for you, on Saturday,” his voice was a low, husky murmur, filling you with warmth. “Just incase.”
And as he withdrew his hand from your face, the loss of his touch was like a phantom ache, a reminder of the connection you desperately fucking craved. His eyes, deep and intense, lingered on your lips for a fleeting moment, a silent testament to the desires that simmered beneath the surface. As he pulled himself up to his feet, he broke his eyes from yours, and with deliberate steps, he retreated, the distance between you growing--but just when you thought he would disappear into the night, he paused, glancing back over his shoulder.
“And to answer your question--yes, I have dreams…” his voice, laden with a mix of vulnerability and yearning, hung in the air like a fragile promise. “But they’re only good when you’re in them.”

"I don't need friends." Ben admitted. He sat across from you at the wedding reception for Luther and Sloane. You didn't know the bride all that well, but it was hard trying not to feel the warmth and joy in the room, although it was with underlying fear. After all, the end of the world was only days away.
You wanted to experience this supposed warmth, this love, just once more before the end of the world. And then, Ben Hargreeves, the alternate version of the original, was sitting across from you.
You were trying to get over the original Ben, the 'real' one, so it was strange talking to his alternative counterpart, who seemed much more of an asshole. But it was easy to talk to him, even if he was a bit rude.
He wasn't as handsome as the original Ben, (regardless of having the same face, you thought) but his eyes were beautiful, and the way he talked to you...
You couldn't stop thinking about it.
"Yeah," you replied. "It's just, like, I always liked being alone, and having people around can be exhausting."
Ben nodded. "I'm not good at making friends, and honestly, the others were pretty annoying. I guess I had a few people I liked, like Fei. She was always really fun, and could kick ass. But, when everyone dies, and it's just me, I guess I'll be a little bored."
"That sounds really sad," you said. "Yeah, it is. But it's the path I've chosen."
"Why?"
"I don't know," Ben said. "I'm sure we've all done some shit we regret, right? Things that makes us question if we deserve to be alive, or to be happy. Maybe it's time for me to pay for all the terrible things I've done. And the other guys, I'm sure they've done some shit. Luther, he's done plenty of bad stuff, I've heard about it. But, maybe they can be happy. At least for the time we all have left."
"It's hard to tell whether someone deserves happiness or not," you said. "Sometimes I think, nobody does. We're all just these miserable, ugly, terrible creatures. But then I look at someone, and they smile, and I just think, 'they're a good person. They deserve to be happy'."
You and Ben look at each other for a second before bursting out laughing. "That is such a load of shit."
There's another moment of silence.
"Do you think I deserve to be happy?" Ben asked. You paused. "You're an asshole, but maybe."
Ben smiled. "You're kind of an asshole, too." You laughed. "I mean, that's just how we are. It's just human nature. Humans are so terrible."
"We are, aren't we?" Ben asked. You stared into his eyes, and for a moment, it was as if you were falling in love with him. Your heart fluttered, and you hesitantly leaned forward and kissed him.
For some reason, he didn't hesitate to kiss back. You felt your entire body melt. You felt his arms wrap around you. You felt his tongue.
It was so perfect.
But then, you stopped. You looked at him, and he was still there. He was still Ben. But not your Ben.
"You alright?" Ben asked.
"I can't do this."
"What? Why?"
"You're not him. You're not my Ben. He died, and you're an asshole."
"Yeah, I'm not him," Ben said, shrugging. "But I am him. He's inside me, and a part of him is still here."
"I'm sorry," you said. "It's not you. I can't do this."
Ben sighed. "It's fine."
You felt guilty. "Look," Ben started. "I'm not going to force you. If you want, I'll go. I'll leave you alone, and stay the hell away. But... I could stay with you? If you don't care."
You paused. "Stay," you said. He looked surprised. "Really?"
"Yeah. Just... don't say anything."
"Okay."
You both sat in silence. It was a nice silence, a peaceful silence. You thought about everything. About life. About death.
And then, you realized something.
"Do you want to have sex?"
Ben's eyes widened as he blinked a few times. "Seriously?"
"Yes."
"But you don't want to be with me. You said I'm not him."
"Yeah, but I need something."
"Something?"
"Something to help me feel alive," you said. "We're all gonna die soon, so why not? Besides, you're an asshole, but I can deal with that."
"I am an asshole," Ben said nonchalantly. "I know," you said. "But if you keep your mouth shut, we can have some fun."
Ben smirked. "Deal."
The two of you got up, and went to your hotel room. You walked up to the door, and opened it. You entered, and Ben followed. You closed the door behind him.
You walked to the bed, and began taking off your clothes. Ben watched you. You could see his eyes widen as you stripped. You removed your underwear, and tossed it to the floor. You turned around and lay on the bed. You looked at Ben.
"Well?"
"Oh, yeah," Ben said. "How do you want me?"
"Just fuck me," you said. "And try not to talk."
"Bossy, much?" Ben said, coming over to the bed.He walked over to the bed, and climbed on top of you. You felt his hands squeezing your breasts. You moaned softly.
"You have such nice tits," he purred, latching his mouth onto a nipple.
You glared at him, although it's hard to keep a straight face when his teeth graze the hardened bud.
"Right, not talking," he said.
He bent down, and kissed your neck. You felt his tongue on your skin. You wrapped your legs around his waist. You felt his cock rubbing against your entrance. You moaned needily.
He grabbed his cock, and guided it inside of you. You moaned loudly as he entered you. You felt his cock sliding in and out of you. You felt his weight pressing down on you. You moaned and whimpered, relishing in the feeling of being so full.
"F-fuck," you moaned. "You're so fucking big."
Ben smirked. He grabbed your ass, and began pounding you harder. You felt his balls slapping against your ass. You felt his cock rubbing against your pussy.
"O-oh god," you moaned.
"You like that?" Ben asked. "You like my cock fucking your tight little pussy?"
You didn't respond.
Ben grabbed your hair, and pulled your head back. You cried out in pain. He began fucking you harder and faster. You felt his cock hitting your g-spot. You felt your body quiver. You felt your pussy tightening around his cock. You felt his balls slapping against your skin. You felt your juices coating his cock. You felt him hitting your g-spot over and over again.
"You like that?" he asked. "You like my fat dick fucking your tight little pussy?"
You were about to respond, but Ben cut you off.
"Don't answer me," he said. "You're mine. You belong to me. Say it."
"I'm yours," you moaned, not even caring about what you had said earlier, too lost in the feeling of his cock pounding into you.
"Say it again," he ordered.
"I'm yours," you groaned.
Ben continued pounding you. You felt your body shaking. You felt your orgasm building inside you.
"Fuck," you moaned. "I'm gonna cum!"
Ben grinned. "Yeah, I bet you are," he said. "Go ahead and cum."
You moaned loudly as you came. Your pussy convulsed around his cock. Your juices flowed down his cock and onto his balls.
"Fuck," he moaned. "That's right, you little slut. Cum for me."
Ben began thrusting faster. You felt his cock slamming into your cervix. You felt his balls slapping against your ass.
"Ah, fuck," he moaned. "That's right. You like that, don't you?"
"Mmm, yes," you moaned. "Yes, I do."
Ben smirked. "You're such a good little slut," he said. "Now, get on your hands and knees."
You obeyed.
"You know what to do," he said.
You crawled toward him, and positioned yourself between his legs. You looked up at him. He grabbed your head, and pulled it toward his cock. You took him in your mouth.
You sucked on his cock.
"Mmm, yeah," he moaned. "That's a good girl."
You sucked harder. You licked the tip of his cock.
"Ah, yeah," he groaned. "Keep going."
You felt his hand grab your hair. You felt him push your head further down his cock. You felt him force his entire cock down your throat. You felt him hit the back of your throat.
"Oh, yeah," he moaned. "Suck my cock."
You moaned as you sucked him.
He thrust his hips upward, forcing his cock further down your throat. You choked and gagged on his cock.
He pulled his cock out of your mouth.
"On the bed," he said.
You did as he commanded. You got on the bed, and spread your legs. He got between your legs, and grabbed your thighs.
He slammed his cock into your pussy.
"Oh, fuck," you moaned.
He fucked you hard and fast. He gripped your thighs tightly. He pushed your legs up toward your chest. He fucked you harder and deeper.
"Ah, fuck," he moaned. "Your pussy is so fucking tight."
"Yes," you moaned.
He grabbed your wrists, and pinned them above your head. He held them down with one hand. He pounded your pussy.
"You like that, you little slut?" he asked.
"Mmm, yes," you moaned.
"Good," he said.
He let go of your wrists, and grabbed your ass. He squeezed it.
"Mmm, your ass is so tight," he said.
"Please, fuck me harder," you moaned.
He obliged. He fucked you hard and fast. He held your legs apart. He pounded your pussy.
"Ah, fuck, I'm gonna cum," he moaned.
"Yes," you moaned. "Cum inside me."
He slammed his cock deep into your pussy. He filled you with his cum. He kept thrusting, shooting his seed deep into your womb.
"Mmm, fuck," he moaned.
He kept fucking you.
"Mmm, your pussy feels so good," he said.
"Y-yeah, m-me too," you moaned.
He thrust a few more times, then pulled out.
"Shit," he said.
He collapsed next to you.
"Wow," you said.
"Yeah," he said.
You turned toward him. You stared into his eyes.
"That was incredible," you said.
"You were incredible," he said.
You kissed him. He wrapped his arms around you. You felt his warm breath on your skin.
You pulled away from the kiss.
"Are you sure you don't want to date me?"
"No," you said.
"Okay," he said.
You lay back down, and closed your eyes.
"I'm sorry," you said.
"Don't worry about it," he said. "It's cool."
"I just don't want to have any feelings for you."
"Why not?"
"Because, you're an asshole," you said.

a/n: btw this is lowkey becoming a mix of the book and the movie so if there's inconsistencies dw about it lol, its all just a jumbled mess in my head at this point and i am for some reason working from memory
next part
"Wait! Wait! I'm here!" You call out, urging the line of mentors and tributes to wait for you before they enter the arena, running up from your father's town car with a notebook and pencil in hand.
Coriolanus was simultaneously annoyed by your arrival, delayed or not, considering he didn't expect you, and also part of him was relieved to have you at his side. Entering the arena himself was a daunting task, now that he knows that the mentors are far from safe from harm in this situation.
You're slightly out of breath as you catch up to him and Lucy Gray, panting as you adjust your bag where it sits over your shoulder. "Sorry, I'm late." You breathe out, smoothing down your hair.
"Why are you even here, Y/L/N?" Felix asks, turning from his spot in front of you to look.
"Mind your own, for once." You spit, returning your attention to Coryo and Lucy Gray. "Hey, where's Clem?"
Coryo shakes his head slightly as the line starts to move forward. "I'll explain later." He answers vaguely. You're confused, sure, but you did have bigger things to worry about. He was right. You brought your notebook to take notes on the layout, potential hiding spots, and potential advantages that Lucy Gray could exploit in the games.
"Enjoy the show!" You hear the echo from the speakers as every duo enters the arena, and you cringe.
"That's dark." You mutter to yourself, taking in your surroundings in the tunnel before being among the last few to enter. The first thing you notice is that the arena is bigger in person than on the screen, you hadn't been inside since you were a toddler- before the war. You try and pick your family's box along the top, but it's no use. You don't even have the slightest memory of this place before the games.
The next thing you notice is Lucy Gray holding onto Coryo's hand as the door slams shut behind you and the windows slide open above you. You grip your pencil tighter in your palm and look down, attempting to scribble down a layout on the page in front of you as you regain a light source. You have one job, and you'll be damned if you don't do it. For now, your best shot at earning Dr. Gaul's favour is giving Lucy Gray an advantage due only to her surroundings. Making her play the game.
"Okay, so, options are limited but I think we just need to have a good look around. There ought to be a good hiding spot around here." You say, clocking how quickly the girl drops his hand.
Focus is a priority, unfortunately, her comfort will have to come second. She'll have time for comfort once you can get her out of this arena and back to Twelve.
"What do you need, Coriolanus?" You ask, noticing he seemingly zoned out taking in his surroundings.
He tries to process what you're asking of him, but just ends up giving you a blank stare as you tilt your head, looking up at the tall boy. "I beg your pardon?" He asks, clearly having not heard a word you said.
"What do you need me to do?" You ask again.
"Well," He starts, and both of you notice at the same time that other tributes are talking and realize that alliances are being built. "Go... do that. Talk to Lysistrata." He instructs and you nod, walking quickly toward where is standing trying to talk to a confused-looking Jessup.
"Lyssie." You grin, flipping to a fresh page of your notebook.
"Y/N, hi." She says, clearly focussed in on trying to get him to pay attention to her.
"Is he okay?" You ask, feigning worry. Well, if this is Lucy Gray's only option for an ally, her odds are not looking good. That was genuinely worrying.
"I don't know..." Your classmate answers, reaching up to point out a wound on his neck. "He's got this bite... I think it could be infected. Your father is a doctor, what do you think?"
"Can you get him anything to help?" You ask, getting closer to take a better look. It does look infected, and you're unsure what it could be. You raise your hand to touch his forehead in search of a fever, but you suspect you will find one considering he is already delirious.
"Y/N!" You hear your name being called and you turn, seeing Coriolanus gesturing for you to back up.
You sigh to yourself and drop your hand, taking a step back. "I would bring him something but I don't know what would help." Lyssie sighs.
"If you can get him to agree to be an ally to Lucy Gray, I can bring antibiotics. Something strong. I'll discuss it with my father, see what he recommends." You offer, hoping to buy her a friend in the arena.
"I'll try my best." She nods. "They've been close, I can't see why not."
"I'll bring him something tonight then." You nod, patting her on the shoulder before continuing on your path of selling Lucy Gray as an ally.
You look around the large room again, looking for whoever would be her best option, and whoever of your classmates would even agree to speak with you. Sejanus- of course.
You tuck your papers under your arm as you walk over to him and Marcus. You can quickly see they aren't on any kind of speaking terms, standing awkwardly together on the opposite side of the center. "Sejanus!" You call out, and he's visibly relieved to see that someone wants to talk to him.
"Y/N." He smiles sadly, which you try and return. Empathy has never been your strong suit, but with Sejanus, you always try your best.
"I'm hoping to negotiate the terms of an alliance between Marcus and Lucy Gray." You explain and he nods, clearly unsure what to do. It would be harder to buy their allegiance, seeing as his family had more influence than yours- after all being the namesake of the prize you had dreamt of for years, and Marcus clearly has more of a physical advantage in the games than Lucy Gray.
"Uh, Marcus?" Sejanus asks, looking over at his tribute, who is blatantly ignoring the two of you. "What do you think? What would you like to do?" You admire his consideration, it must be draining when Marcus clearly couldn't care less.
"Lucy Gray would not be a threat to you. If you would take the care to look at either of us directly I would be able to promise you that." You say, taking a different approach that also doesn't work. You sigh, shrugging as you look over at your friend.
"I'm sorry, Y/N. Thank you for trying." He tries to smile and you just nod, trying to figure out who you'll ask next.
Then, your eyes land on Clemensia's tribute, alone. He looks strong, definitely the most obvious threat. Having him as an ally definitely wouldn't hurt. While it would be ideal to discuss this with Clem, your options and time is limited. He's standing nearby, just staring at one of the flags on the wall.
"It's Reaper, correct?" You ask to grab his attention, walking toward him. He spares you a glance over his shoulder, then huffs and turns away. "I have an offer for you, and I believe it's in your best interest to listen."
He doesn't look again, but you step in front of him so he has little to no choice.
"In the case that you win, which," You scoff, looking around at the other tributes, "looks quite likely, I will send you home with enough money in your pocket to feed you and your family for a year if you agree to at the very least not harm Lucy Gray in the games. And if you help her, the deal will be sweeter." You state, crossing your arms over your chest.
Before he has the chance to respond, not that he was going to anyway, you're being grabbed by the arm and pulled away quickly, making you stumble over your feet. "I told you to keep your distance. Not once, but twice." Coriolanus scolds you, pulling you back toward Lucy Gray, who you can see by now has been crying.
"You told me to talk to people! I'm trying to help Lucy Gray-"
"No, I told you to talk to Lysistrata." He corrects, dropping your arm and turning to face you. All he can see is Reaper threatening to kill him right in the back of the transport truck on the way to the zoo. Reaper was dangerous- how could you be so stupid? "You are making this so much more difficult than it already is."
You clench your teeth together, clutching your notepad to your chest now. "If you stopped thinking I'm so fragile you would see that I am helping. Don't worry about me- worry about Lucy Gray." You say after a moment of thought.
Coryo exhales heavily, looking around to see who was paying attention to the two of you fighting. The echo in this arena was not doing anything to help. "I didn't mean-"
He doesn't get the chance to articulate his thoughts before there's a loud bang, making you jump and rapidly search for the source of the noise as dust falls over the room. Then another explosion, then another, and by the way the light is disappearing in a circular pattern you can tell the arena is being bombed.
Your ears are ringing and you're now kneeling on the ground, the force of the blasts having knocked you down. You try and get up, try to make a run for the exit, only to feel an impact on your side, throwing you back to the ground a few feet away and you blackout from the hit of your head onto the dusty cement.
"There she is..." You hear your father's voice as you open your eyes slowly, blinking at the warm lighting above you. "Enough is enough." He says, and you feel a pain in your hand as he removes an IV from under your skin.
You look up at him, trying to shake off the confusion as you sit up. "Just a concussion. You were out for a few hours, if you experience any amnesia symptoms let me know, but I do doubt that will be the case."
You rub your eyes with shakey hands, nodding a little bit as your dad steps away to leave your room, where you are lying in your own bed. "Dad..." You mumble, voice hardly there.
He stops, looking at you and waiting for you to continue as you attempt to clear your throat. "Is Coryo okay?"
"I just got back from the hospital tending to everyone. Two students died, and five tributes. Coriolanus received extensive burns and bruising, but nothing was broken. He will be fine in a few days." He affirms.
"And Lucy Gray?"
"She is alive, the tributes who didn't escape or die were returned to the zoo. A vet is attending to them, I know nothing about it." He says, already on his way out of the door.
You sigh in slight relief, pushing yourself up fully to try and get moving again. Your whole body is stiff and sore, but you push through. You have a lot to do.
Thankful for your father's home stash of medications, luckily including morphing, you were able to gather medical supplies and get your driver to take you to the zoo. You would visit Coryo later, but you know he would want you to see to Lucy Gray, and so you shall.
As you arrive, you see no such vet in sight, the surviving tributes scattered around the cage, mostly either passed out or attempting to tend to their own injuries. This could be good for Lucy Gray, who looks mostly unharmed.
"Lucy Gray." You say, motioning for her to come over to the bars. She looks over Jessup laying against a rock next to her, whispering something to him before joining you quickly, grabbing the bars between you.
"is Coriolanus okay?" This is her first question, which you honestly did not expect.
Though you were taken aback by this, you nod. "Yes. My father said he'll be fine, I haven't been to see him yet." You explain, crouching down to dig through your bag for your makeshift medical kit of stolen supplies.
"What do you need?" You ask, searching already for the antibiotics you grabbed for Jessup.
"I'm fine." She insists, which you only confirm when you look her over. "Just a couple bruises, I live to sing another day."
You smile a little bit, relieved to see your tribute is at least in a better state than most of the others. "Good. I'm glad to hear it."
"Do you think Coriolanus will be back on his feet soon?" She asks, clearly very worried about him.
"I don't know." You answer honestly. "It's a good thing you have me."
"It is..." She thinks for a moment. "He said he would try and get me a guitar. For my interview, He wants me to sing."
"I'll make sure you have one." You nod. As much as you hope he'd be up and moving by the time the interviews come around in a couple of days, you know you have a guitar sitting in your brothers room that Coryo would likely ask you to borrow anyway. "This is for Jessup, I talked to his mentor, I think this should help." You tell her, grabbing the pot of topical antibiotics you took from your cupboard at home and handing it to her.
Lucy Gray nods, taking it and opening the steel lid, her first urge being to smell the cream inside. "Get him to apply it morning and night, be generous with it." You explain, grabbing some bandages as well to accompany it.
"You've got a full apothecary in that bag, huh?" Lucy Gray comments, straining her head to try and look inside.
"My father is a doctor." You explain, keeping it brief. "Don't share it with anyone else. Their injuries and ailments are to your benefit. Do you understand?"
Lucy Gray just nods solemnly, looking back at the tributes around her. "I understand." She answers, but she doesn't seem so sure. "You know, he pushed you clean out of the way."
"Sorry?" You ask, brows furrowed as you close your bag, having grabbed out the small paper bag of food for her.
"Coriolanus." She clarifies. "He saved your life, I reckon."
"Oh." Is all you can manage, pulling your bag back to his place over your shoulder. You clear your throat again, the remnants of dust and dirt still affecting your voice. "Well, I owe him a thank you I suppose. I'm off to check on him now."
"Tell him I send my love, won't you? I was awfully worried."
"I will." You mumble, making an effort to not be aggressive with how you shove the bag of food into her hands before walking off.
Your next stop is the hospital. The pit in your stomach tells you that despite your confirmation that Coryo would be fine, you're still worried as to what state he will be in when you arrive. Is he awake? Will he remember a thing? Did he really save you only to face worse injuries himself?
You're escorted to his bedside when you arrive, a small room in emergency seperated only by curtains. Tigris is sitting next to him stroking his hair gently, and he is seemingly sleeping- or still out cold. It's chillingly difficult to tell. You clear your throat to notify her of your presence, and she quickly stands when she sees you.
"Y/N." She greets you with a hug, gently rubbing your back. "Are you alright? You were there, weren't you?"
"I was." You nod slightly as you pull away, eyes once again trained on your friend. "My father brought me home to be treated there. Is he asleep?"
"Yes, just sleeping. He woke for a few moments about an hour ago, but I think he's just exhausted. Couldn't keep his eyes open for more than a minute..." She sighs, looking him over as well. She's worried, of course.
You nod, chewing on your lip. "Well, I can't stay for long, but I wanted to bring these to him." You say, once again reaching into your bag and pulling out a container of food containing some fruit and cookies. You hold it out to her, and her eyes widen for just a moment. "I'm sure he'll be starving when he wakes up, and the food here is atrocious." You try and ease her panic with a joke.
This works and she nods, accepting it quietly. "I know it's a lot for one person, but I figured you or your grandmother would be here with him. I brought enough to share." You add, implying that she is more than welcome to it too.
"Thank you, Y/N. Thats very kind, I didn't have the chance to grab anything on my way- I came straight from work." Tigris makes up an excuse, and you just nod.
"He asked about you, you know." She whispers, panic now completely replaced with a small smile. "When he woke up. You were his first concern."
You try to ignore the pit in your stomach growing and shifting as she speaks, a flush forming over your chest and face. "Well, apparently he saved me. Would have been an awful waste if that had been for nothing." You deflect, forming it as a joke.
"You are his best friend. You know that, right?" Tigris asks you quietly.
That's unfortunate, you want to laugh, but it would definitely come off as either rude or self deprecating, so you come up with something else. "Coryo means a great deal to me, as well."
Tigris tilts her head slightly, making it more difficult to maintain a straight face. "I must be going, but if he wakes again will you tell him I'm taking care of Lucy Gray?" You change the subject and she nods.
"Yes, of course. Thank you for coming, Y/N." She says again, and you spare Coryo another look over before leaving.

hood eren who even though he spoils you, does not put up with a bad attitude. every time you're mad or upset it puts him ina funk and he just doesn't like it.
hood eren who regardless of your attitude, takes you to your favorite mall with your friends on the weekend, hoping you were just having a shitty week.
hood eren who once more spoils you and your friends, taking you out for hibachi and letting you spend your time hanging around the mall, but he soon regrets this decision when you stop infront of your FAV designer store.
hood eren who makes A LOT of money from selling and has bought you plenty of designer in the past, calmly watches as you and your friends go into the store and end up absolutely RAVING over a pink handbag (https://t.ly/handbag) with the company logo embroidered all over it.
hood eren who as your friends explore the store, watches as you stay by his side begging for him to buy you the bag. (so you can brag later)
hood eren who refuses to buy you the new louie bag, after a week of giving him major side eye and sucking your teeth. he says he doesn't think you deserve it cause of that "nasty ass attitude." "no princess, i'll buy you the bag when you learn some manners." or "daddy said not right now chill."
hood eren who notices how you talk about him to your friends while waking off. he knew that your spoildness got bad but not THIS bad. he’s quick to drive your friends home so he can deal with that attitude.
hood eren who when you get home, comforts you when your eyes get watery and you start with the sniffles but stands strong on his words. "c'mere." he motions you over so he can pick you up and start rubbing you down. he knows just exactly what you need.
hood eren who lets his baby suck him off as an apology. when he pulls it out the tip hits his belly already angry, flushed red, and leaking pre. he lets you start off slow. sucking the tip and kissing his down his shaft. but when he realizes you're stalling, he works his length down your throat admiring your cute whines and occasional gags.
hood eren who throws his head back and moans as you suck the absolute soul outta him “oooh b-baby fuuuuck”, pulling your head down as he thrusts his length into your mouth causing tears to form in your eyes.

hood eren who shoves his length in your pussy and sets a brutal pace. “ooh pa slow downn i said im sorryy,” you cry. clapping, smacking, and wet sounds echo off the walls and your pretty sure your neighbors hate you by now. “you gone be a good girl nd stop acting up?” eren questions, “yess- daddy i swear i will…” you moan, juices running down your legs and half brain dead now.
hood eren who knows your lying (your definitely gonna up again) but enjoys putting his pretty girl in her place even if she ends up getting what she wants anyways…
