Having followed Logan around the world for a little while, Logan was feeling more comfortable travelling because you and Aurora were with him. He was performing better than expected with the equipment that he had been given.
Logan was sitting in his drivers room on the floor with Aurora sitting in front of him as he played with her on her little play mat. This was the last race before the summer break where Logan was going to go back to London but start looking for a family house so you could all stay there.
Auroras little giggles filled his driver's room as there was a knock on the door, and Oscar walked in with a smile
“There’s my girl” He smiled, sitting on the floor next to Logan. Rolling your eyes while taking a picture of them. Logan still hadn’t told the world about you or Aurora, not that you minded because you got to keep your privacy and Aurora's, although you knew it would come soon enough.
However, you hadn’t expected some camera’s to overhear him and Oscar during the press conference you were currently sitting watching.
Tumblr media
“What are you planning on getting Y/N?” Oscar asked both with the microphones on their laps as they spoke to each other
“I’m not sure. She doesn’t know what she wants either” He shrugged, and Oscar groaned
“What am I meant to buy her then? Maybe like a canvas of you, her and Aurora?” He asked, and Logan nodded
“I guess that’s an option. I was thinking of a little family holiday” Logan answered
“Ohh that’s a good idea. Maybe I could get her a puppy?” Oscar joked, and Logan laughed
“She wants one, but with Aurora still not being that old, it makes it hard. Especially because she’s not at uni anymore, and she’s following me around the world” He chuckled, and Oscar joined in. The interviewer called on Logan to answer a question about the car
Tumblr media
Back in Logan’s driving room you were attempting to get Aurora to have a nap although she had grown into the habit of getting fed from you and cuddling Logan until she fell asleep so she got the best of both parents. Gently bouncing around Logan’s drivers room as you hoped that his interview was almost over
“Come on baby girl please go to sleep” You whispered with a sigh as her cries picked up attempting to think about the next best thing to Logan you opened his driver room door and took the two steps across the corridor knocking on Alex’s door.
Alex pulled the door open with a smile. Lily sat on his couch, smiling over
“Y/N is everything okay?” Alex asked as you shook your head
“Aurora’s got in the habit of Logan holding her until she gets to sleep, and he’s doing the interviews. So is Oscar. You’re the next best thing. Will you hold her?” You asked, biting your lip, hoping that he’d be okay with the request
“Baby cuddles? Who’d ever say no to that?” He asked carefully, taking her from your arms.
“How does Logan normally hold her?” He asked, and you gently moved her within his arms so she was now being held in the normal sleeping position.
“Come take a seat lovely” Lily smiled, tapping the space next to her on Alex’s couch. You looked to Alex to ensure it was okay. Alex nodded with a smile. You didn’t want to intrude on his personal space when you’d already asked him to hold your child.
Sitting down next to Lily as she took pictures of Alex
“I want one” She whined, and you laughed
“Feel free to take mine for a couple of days. You’ll change your mind instantly” You chuckled
“Oh but she’s so cute. She could never do any wrong” You smiled
“She looks so much like Logan as a baby, which makes me a little sad because Logan used to be exactly like her then coming into F1. It changed him. This team has changed him and everytime I see James I want to punch him because I miss the old Logan and deep down I know he’s still there but the way James is treating him makes the old him hide” You sighed and both Lily and Alex nodded
“I agree, and even if I bring it up in meetings, then I get shot down. I don’t understand why they’re treating him like this. If they didn’t want him for the season, then they shouldn’t have signed him again” Alex sighed as you watched Aurora’s eyes flutter shut in Alex’s arms. Lily wrapped her arm around your shoulder, gently rubbing your arm to comfort you.
“He’ll find his team Y/N. He’s still got years ahead of him, and maybe this break is what you need as a family” She smiled, and you nodded. There was a knock on the door as Logan peaked his head around the door
“Alex. You seen” He paused mid sentence as he spotted you
“Found you” He smiled, walking into the room.
“Hey. Aurora wouldn’t sleep because you or Oscar weren’t there, so I came to the next best place” Logan leaned down and pressed a kiss to your lips with a smile you looked up at him
“So we’re trending on twitter” You pressed your lips together as his eyes widened
“What? How?” He asked
“Your microphones picked up  your conversation with Oscar. I would very much like a family holiday thanks” You hummed as he stood back up
“Shit babe. I’m so sorry. I didn’t realise the microphones were that sensitive even that far away. Shit. I’m so sorry, babe. What can I do to make it up to you? I’m so sorry” He rambled, shaking his head as he ran his hand through his hair. Standing up, you walked over to him.
His arms pulled you into his chest as he sighed, still repeating that he was sorry as he whispered into your ear.
“How can you make it up to me?” You teased pretending to think about it
“Apart from that holiday you mentioned. Maybe a dog?” You teased, and he shook his head
“We’re not getting a dog. I’m sorry. I know you want one, but we don’t have the time or space” He sighed, and you nodded
“I know. I’m just teasing you, love. I don’t mind. I’m kinda glad no one knows everything, but it’s still out in the world” You shrugged, and he nodded
“Yeah that makes sense” He smiled, taking Aurora from Alex.
“I’m gonna take my girls back to my room” You smiled, thanking Alex before walking back to Logan’s room with him. Sitting on the couch, you pulled your legs up to your chest, watching Logan with a wide smile
“So obviously we’re getting married during this break. However, I was thinking about our future. Like very far into the future” You nodded, listening to him
“I want another child. Maybe within the next year or so. Aurora will be one very soon. We’ll be married, and at least if I don’t continue in F1, then I’ve got a family there. My second dream that’s kinda more real at the moment”  He explained, and you nodded
“I think having another baby is a brilliant idea, although maybe two years? I’m still kinda recovering from having Aurora” You hummed, and he nodded
“That sounds good to me” He smiled, pressing your lips together.

Maturity Test Part 3
Chapter 1 Chapter 2
Anna, Lilly, and Olaf arrived at the reclassification center, the atmosphere tense with anticipation. The building, sleek and modern, loomed ahead, its polished glass reflecting the bright afternoon sun. The trio stepped inside, the cool air conditioning a stark contrast to the warmth outside. The reception area was quiet, a few others waiting with the same mix of nervousness and hope that hung around them.
They were guided to a private room where the reclassification tests would take place. The room was simple, with a few chairs, a large table, and several machines designed to assess the various levels of maturity, competence, and independence.
Olaf fidgeted nervously, clutching Lilly’s hand for comfort. Anna watched him with concern, noticing how little and anxious he seemed. This was a far cry from the Olaf she remembered from their school days. Beside him, Lilly exuded calm, her presence a constant reassurance for Olaf.
Rebecca entered the room next, her demeanor noticeably different from the last time Anna had seen her. Today, she wasn’t in her usual thick diaper but in pull-ups. She hadn’t worn one in so long, and the idea of showing off her “potty training” skills made her feel like she was on top of the world. Even though she hadn’t sat on a toilet in five years, she still clung to the hope that this was her chance to prove she was ready for a little more maturity. Her eyes lit up when she saw Anna, and she ran over, her pull-up crinkling as she moved.
“Anna!” Rebecca called, throwing her arms around her friend. “I’m so glad you’re here!”
Anna hugged her tightly, a mix of relief and sadness washing over her. Rebecca looked so proud in her pull-up, but Anna knew this reclassification would determine her fate—whether she’d remain in pull-ups or be placed back into diapers.
“You look great, Becky,” Anna said, smiling warmly. “How are you feeling?”
Rebecca grinned, her excitement palpable. “I’m gonna be a big girl again, Anna. I just know it!”
Olaf, on the other hand, was much quieter. His pull-up was already starting to feel damp against his skin. He shifted uncomfortably in his seat, his thumb creeping towards his mouth before he caught himself.
Lilly, standing nearby, exchanged a knowing glance with Anna. The stakes were high for all of them, and while Rebecca’s enthusiasm was endearing, Anna couldn’t shake the worry gnawing at her. The reclassification tests were unpredictable, and the outcome was never guaranteed.
Soon, the testers arrived, ushering each of them into separate assessment rooms. Anna felt a pang of anxiety as she watched Rebecca and Olaf disappear behind the doors. She and Lilly were led to their own rooms, where they were quickly and efficiently tested on their maturity, decision-making skills, and ability to handle adult responsibilities. The process was routine for them, and both women were confident in the outcome.
After what felt like hours, Anna and Rebecca were finally reunited in the main room, where the results were to be announced. The atmosphere was thick with tension as the testers entered, carrying the documents that would determine their futures.
The head tester, a stern-looking woman with a clipboard, began reading out the results.
“Anna,” she said, looking up briefly before returning her gaze to the clipboard, “remains classified as an Adult.”
Anna let out a breath she didn’t realize she’d been holding, relief flooding through her.
“Rebecca,” the tester announced next, her tone neutral, “has been reclassified as a Preschooler.”
Rebecca’s face lit up with a mixture of pride and relief. “I did it!” she whispered excitedly to Anna, practically bouncing in place.
But as they celebrated, the evaluator’s expression turned more serious. “There’s just one issue,” she said, her tone somber. “Rebecca, since you’ve been reclassified as a preschooler, you’ll need to have a caregiver assigned to you. Unfortunately, the regression school nursery is only for toddlers, so if you can’t find a caregiver, you’ll have to stay classified as a toddler.”
Rebecca’s joy faltered, her face falling as the weight of the situation settled in. “But… I don’t have a caregiver,” she whispered, her voice trembling. “I don’t want to be a toddler again…”
Anna’s heart ached as she saw the distress in Rebecca’s eyes. She couldn’t bear the thought of her friend being forced back into toddlerhood after all the progress she had made. And in that moment, the decision became clear.
“I’ll be your caregiver, Becky,” Anna said softly, reaching out to take her hand. “You don’t have to go back to being a toddler. I’ll take care of you.”
Rebecca’s eyes filled with tears, but this time they were tears of relief. “Really, Anna?” she asked, her voice wavering. “You’ll be my mommy?”
Anna nodded, squeezing Rebecca’s hand gently. “Yes, Becky. I’ll be your mommy, and I’ll take care of you, just like you deserve.”
Rebecca threw her arms around Anna, hugging her tightly as she buried her face in Anna’s shoulder. “Thank you, Anna,” she whispered, her voice thick with emotion. “Thank you so much.”
As they embraced, Lilly returned with Olaf. Lilly couldn’t contain her excitement as she led Olaf back towards Anna and Rebecca. Her eyes sparkled with a mischievous joy, and she was practically glowing with pride as she looked down at Olaf, who was now waddling awkwardly beside her, his thick diaper forcing his legs apart. The word "Toddler" was emblazoned across the front of his diaper, a clear indication of his new classification.
“Oh, Anna, you won’t believe it!” Lilly gushed, her voice brimming with excitement. “Olaf had a little messy accident during his test. It was so unexpected, they had no choice but to regress him further!” She let out a lighthearted laugh, her eyes twinkling with amusement. “Isn’t that just adorable? He’s officially a toddler now, and I have to say, he looks so cute in his thick diapers, don’t you think?”
Anna looked at Olaf, her heart sinking as she saw the expression on his face. His eyes were wide and glistening with unshed tears, his bottom lip quivering as he processed Lilly’s words. The weight of the situation seemed to crush down on him all at once, and his thumb, which had been hovering near his mouth, found its way between his lips.
But even the comfort of his thumb wasn’t enough to hold back the flood of emotions that had been building inside him. His eyes welled up, and within moments, the first tear slipped down his cheek, followed by another, and then another. Before anyone could react, Olaf began to sob, his small shoulders shaking with the force of his cries.
“I-I don’t want to be a toddler!” Olaf wailed, his voice muffled around his thumb as he buried his face into Lilly’s side. The tears came faster now, streaming down his cheeks in a torrent of grief and frustration. “I-I’m not a baby… I’m not…”
Anna, feeling her own heart ache at the sight of Olaf’s anguish, stepped closer, her hand reaching out to rest on his shoulder. “Olaf,” she said softly, trying to catch his tear-filled gaze. “It’s okay to be sad. It’s a big change, and it’s okay to feel upset about it.”
But then, something clicked in her mind. She remembered Lilly had done something before the reclassification that she hadn’t paid much attention to at the time.
Earlier that day, when they were getting ready to leave for the reclassification, Anna had seen Lilly give Olaf a suppository. Anna hadn’t thought much of it, assuming it was just something to calm his nerves. But now, as she watched Lilly’s calm demeanor in the face of Olaf’s accident, it all made sense.
Anna’s eyes widened as the realization hit her. Of course. It was why Lilly hadn’t been worried about Olaf making it through the reclassification without an accident. She had planned this all along, ensuring that Olaf would be humiliated and further regressed. The suppository would have ensured that Olaf’s body would betray him, no matter how hard he tried to control it.
She couldn’t stay silent any longer. What Lilly had done wasn’t just manipulative; it was cruel. "Lilly, what the hell were you thinking?" she snapped, her eyes blazing as she glared at her. "That suppository was not to calm Olaf down, was it?"
Lilly paused, looking up at Anna with an expression of feigned innocence. "Anna, what are you talking about? I’m just taking care of Olaf, like any good mommy would."
"Don’t play dumb with me!" Anna shot back, her voice rising. "You knew exactly what you were doing. You set him up to fail! You wanted him to mess himself right at the reclassification, didn’t you? So that he’d be more dependent on you, sure to be reclassified as a toddler."
Olaf, who had been lying quietly, now looked up at Anna with wide, confused eyes. He hadn’t connected the dots, but now, hearing Anna’s words, a look of realization slowly dawned on his face. He turned to Lilly, searching her face for any hint of denial, but found none.
Lilly’s expression hardened, the pretense of innocence slipping away. "And what if I did?" she said coolly, standing up and facing Anna with a defiant tilt of her chin. "Olaf needs someone to take care of him. He’s happier this way, aren’t you, Olaf?"
Olaf didn’t answer, his face a mix of shame and uncertainty. He wanted to protest, to say that he didn’t need this, that he could manage on his own, but the truth was, a part of him was scared. Scared that without Lilly’s constant care, he would be lost. The dependency that had grown between them was undeniable, even if it wasn’t something he had chosen.
Anna’s anger only grew at Lilly’s cold response. "You don’t get to make that decision for him, Lilly. You’ve been manipulating him, controlling him, and now you’re pushing him further and further into regression just so you can have control. It’s not about what’s best for Olaf; it’s about what you want!"
Lilly’s eyes flashed with anger. "You have no idea what it’s like, Anna. He needs me. He can’t take care of himself—"
"But he could try!" Anna interrupted, her voice filled with frustration. "He was doing fine before, and now he’s so dependent on you that he doesn’t even realize when he’s wetting himself. That’s not care, Lilly. That’s control."
Lilly opened her mouth to retort, but Anna didn’t give her the chance. She turned to Olaf, her expression softening as she addressed him. "Olaf, listen to me. You don’t have to do this. You can still make your own choices. You can still try to be independent, to be more than what she’s trying to make you."
Olaf looked between the two women, his heart pounding in his chest. He felt torn, confused, and overwhelmed. The reality of what had happened was sinking in, and he didn’t know how to process it. Part of him wanted to cling to the comfort that Lilly provided, but another part of him was angry—angry at himself for being so easily manipulated, and angry at Lilly for doing this to him.
Lilly’s voice cut through his thoughts, sharp and cold. "Olaf, don’t listen to her. She doesn’t understand. She doesn’t know what’s best for you like I do."
Anna shook her head, tears of frustration and anger brimming in her eyes. "Olaf, please. You deserve better than this. You deserve the chance to be more than just… this."
But before Olaf could respond, Lilly turned and marched toward the center’s entrance, pulling Olaf along with her. Anna followed, her heart pounding with a mix of determination and fear.
When they reached the reclassification center, Anna didn’t hesitate. She stormed up to the front desk, demanding to speak to someone in charge. The receptionist, startled by her intensity, quickly made a call, and within minutes, Anna was ushered into an office where a stern-looking official sat, waiting.
Anna didn’t waste any time. She laid out everything she had witnessed, her voice trembling with anger as she described how Lilly had manipulated Olaf, how she had purposely sabotaged him to ensure he would regress further.
The official listened carefully, her expression grave as Anna recounted the details. When Anna finished, there was a long pause, the air thick with tension.
Finally, the official spoke, her voice measured and calm. "This is a serious accusation, Anna. If what you’re saying is true, it goes against everything we stand for in this program. We aim to support individuals based on their needs, not to force them into a classification that isn’t right for them."
Anna nodded, her heart pounding in her chest. "Olaf deserves the chance to be more than what Lilly’s trying to make him. He deserves the chance to choose his own path, not to be manipulated into one."
Olaf was led into a small examination room, looking more anxious than ever. Lilly tried to maintain her calm demeanor, but there was a flicker of uncertainty in her eyes.
The officials began their examination of Olaf, asking him a series of questions while conducting some basic tests. It was clear that Olaf was uncomfortable, shifting nervously as he answered, his gaze flickering between the officials and Lilly, who stood nearby, her expression unreadable.
One of the officials, a stern-looking woman with sharp eyes, took a sample from Olaf to test for any foreign substances. Lilly’s face paled slightly as she watched the process, but she kept her mouth shut, not daring to say anything.
Anna, who had been waiting outside the room, was finally called in after what felt like an eternity. She walked in, her heart pounding in her chest, wondering what they had discovered.
The lead official, the stern woman, looked up from the results, her expression grave. "Anna, we’ve completed our tests, and it appears that there were indeed traces of a substance in Olaf’s system—something that would have induced a bowel movement."
Anna felt a mixture of vindication and anger surge through her. She glanced at Olaf, who looked bewildered and on the verge of tears, and then at Lilly, whose composure had finally cracked. There was fear in her eyes now, a fear that she had been caught.
"Lilly," the official continued, turning her gaze to Olaf’s so-called caregiver, "do you have anything to say for yourself?"
Lilly opened her mouth, but no words came out. She seemed to struggle for an excuse, for some way to explain away her actions, but she knew there was nothing she could say that would justify what she had done. Her silence was damning.
Anna took a deep breath, trying to keep her emotions in check. "This isn’t just about what happened today," she said, addressing the officials. "Lilly has been manipulating Olaf for a long time, keeping him dependent on her, making sure he doesn’t have the chance to grow up and live his life."
The officials exchanged glances, clearly concerned by what they were hearing. The lead official nodded. "We take these kinds of accusations very seriously. We’ll need to conduct a full investigation into Lilly’s actions and her treatment of Olaf."
Olaf, who had been quiet up until now, finally spoke up, his voice shaky. "I... I didn’t know. I thought Mommy was just helping me..." He looked at Lilly with wide, tear-filled eyes, confusion and betrayal written all over his face.
Lilly’s eyes softened, and she stepped forward, trying to reach out to him, but the officials quickly intervened, keeping her at a distance.
"Olaf," Anna said gently, stepping closer to him, "you didn’t do anything wrong. We’re going to make sure you’re taken care of, okay? No one’s going to hurt you."
Olaf nodded slowly, but it was clear that he was struggling to process everything that was happening. His world was being turned upside down, and he didn’t know what to think or who to trust.
The lead official turned back to Anna. "We’ll be taking Lilly into custody for further questioning. Olaf will be placed in temporary care while we complete our investigation. Thank you for bringing this to our attention, Anna."
Olaf's eyes widened in panic as the officials began discussing his placement in temporary care. The very idea seemed to terrify him, and he instinctively reached out for Anna, his hands clutching at her arm with a desperate grip.
"Anna, please," he whispered, his voice trembling. "I don’t want to go with strangers. I want to stay with you... and Becky. Please don’t let them take me away."
Anna's heart broke at the fear in his voice. She knew how much Olaf had come to depend on Lilly, as manipulative as she had been, and the thought of being taken away from the only familiar person left in his life was clearly overwhelming for him.
She turned to the lead official, her voice steady but firm. "Olaf doesn’t want to be placed in temporary care. If it’s alright, I would like to take care of him instead. He can stay with me and Becky. I know how to take care of him, and he’ll have someone familiar around."
The official looked at Anna thoughtfully, then back at Olaf, who was still clinging to her. "You’re sure you can handle this, Anna? Taking care of someone in Olaf’s condition is a big responsibility."
Anna nodded, determination shining in her eyes. "I’m sure. I’ve known Olaf for a long time, and I want to make sure he’s in a safe and loving environment. Becky’s at the regression school, and she’d be thrilled to have Olaf stay with us. She’s always wanted a sibling."
The official considered her words carefully before finally nodding. "Alright, Anna. We’ll grant you temporary guardianship of Olaf, provided you meet the necessary requirements. We’ll conduct regular check-ins to ensure his well-being."
A wave of relief washed over Olaf’s face as the official agreed. He squeezed Anna’s hand, his fear slowly subsiding. "Thank you, Anna," he whispered, his voice thick with emotion.
Anna smiled down at him, brushing a stray tear from his cheek. "Of course, Olaf. You’re going to be okay. We’ll get through this together."
The official began preparing the necessary paperwork, explaining the responsibilities and conditions of temporary guardianship. As she handed the documents to Anna, she also retrieved Olaf’s reclassification report.
"Now, Olaf," the official began gently, "I understand you were hoping to be reclassified as a preschooler again. But after reviewing your test results and observing your behavior, we need to have an honest conversation."
Olaf looked up, a flicker of hope still lingering in his eyes. "Yes, I... I tried really hard to stay a preschooler. I didn’t even... I mean, I tried not to have any accidents."
The official’s expression softened as she continued, "You did your best, Olaf, and that’s something to be proud of. But the truth is, even if you had managed to keep your pull-up clean and dry, your overall regression has reached a point where we would have had to reclassify you to the toddler level."
Olaf’s face fell, his hopes crumbling at the official’s words. He stared at the floor, his fingers nervously playing with the hem of his shirt. “So… I’m going to be in diapers again? Full-time?”
The official nodded sympathetically. “Yes, Olaf. You’ll be placed in the toddler category, which means you’ll be wearing diapers full-time and receiving the care and supervision appropriate for that level. I know this might be disappointing, but it’s what’s best for you right now.”
The official finished with the paperwork, handing the finalized documents to Anna. "We’ll keep in touch to monitor Olaf’s progress and ensure he’s adjusting well," she said kindly. "If you have any concerns or need assistance, don’t hesitate to reach out."
Anna nodded, thanking the official for her help. She then guided Olaf out of the room, holding his hand as he waddled toward the car.

all joker clowns thinks the same isn’t it ? 😭 I think the same too. And like they did with ms announcement in Jeju they’ll say it like it’s a normal Tuesday for them…
I’m waiting for that day so I can distribute sweets on my neighborhood 🤡🙌🏻
I honestly couldn't tell if you're hating or not, which is why I'm replying to this. I'm so confused 😂 i mean, u said clowns so ig you're an anti? I decided not to be replying to antis anymore but I'm not sure what you are so....
Tumblr media
Yes.
This is exactly what is going to happen. They've done it before. They lived together for years and didn't bother to hide it. And yet people still called them bros. So yeah, they will do it again after MS and you will still be here idiotically laughing coz "they said it like it was a normal Tuesday."
Maybe they said it so casually because it was??? I'm sure when they first heard about it they cried and celebrated and had one of the happiest fucks of their lives. It was already in their system by the time they were discussing it on the show so yeah, they talked about it like it was no big deal. Because the big deal reaction had already happened in private with eo and their loved ones. We weren't privy to that and thats okay.
I will dumb it down for ya and give you an example. When I got married, for the next two weeks I was like "I'M MARRIED!?!?!?!" 🥰😄🥳😭😃😁👏🏽☺🤸🏽‍♀️🤸🏽‍♀️🤸🏽‍♀️🤸🏽‍♀️ Then after a month I was like "I'm married" ☺🥰😁
3 months in, while I'm still super happy to be married, I dont say it all cheery and loud and stuff. Its just like, "yeah, I'm married." 🤷🏽‍♀️😁
Sometimes its easier to give y'all the most simplest answer because you just can't think for yourselves. 🤧
In the words of Monk; here's what happened:
Military enlistment is mandatory. Inevitable. Its something that was always going to happen no matter what. Jikook knew this... had accepted this... were prepared for this. They'd have to go almost 2 years without seeing eo... (if their breaks didn't allign) without spending quality time together. They were aware of this and had accepted it. It was unfortunate... and sad... but it was the reality and there was nothing they could do about it.
Tumblr media
But then... BUT THENNNN there was talk about exemption and oh shit! There was hope.
Tumblr media
That maybe... just maybe, BTS would be exempted and they wouldn't have to do this thing that they really didn't wanna do. That Jikook wouldn't have to be separated at all like they'd thought all these years. Like they'd mentally prepared for. They didn't want to... but they are only human and so they allowed themselves to hope.
.
.
Unfortunately, that did not end up happening and so they had to proceed as planned and serve just like everyone else. But here's the thing, hope had occurred. Hope is awful. Just awful. Because now Jikook had to accept reality all over again.
Tumblr media
But you know what? They tried. They did their best. They accepted it was happening. For 18 months, they would serve separately, it would soon be over and they would be reunited. It wouldn't be easy, but they didn't have a choice.
Tumblr media
But here's the thing, that ugly thing, hope? JK had felt it and now he couldn't... he couldn't. He just, simply, couldn't. The idea of going without Jimin for 2 years was just too much. He can't even go without Jimin for a day how was he going to do that for almost 2 freaking years??? It just... it wasn't... no. Just, no. Absolutely fucking not.
Tumblr media
Jimin saw this and couldn't let his Jungkook go on like this. There is nothing he hates more in this world than to see JK unhappy and thus the idea of enlisting together was born.
Tumblr media
But- but- they knew better this time than to hope. They couldn't. They couldn't hope. Not just yet.
(Thanks @chicknbunny13 😘 )
(JK didn't need reminding they were enlisting. If this was in Jeju where they already knew their request had been approved, JK wouldn't have playfully swatted at Jimin 😂) imo anyway.
Where were we? Right. Hope was threatening to rear its ugly head but they weren't gonna do it. Not this time. So months go by... fingers crossed until they finally get the good news!!!
Tumblr media
They were ecstatic, of course. Over the fucking moon. And this part you Jikook anti anon and all of us didn't get to see it. We didn't see them get the good news. We didn't see them cry in happiness. We didn't see them tell the members and their families. We didn't see the celebratory love making 😔😪 we missed all of it. But guess what? It happened.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
And they talked about it many times after that. And we just so happened to catch one of the times they talked about it casually on camera. It seems to me like you expected them to make a big deal about it. But your dumb ass didn't stop to wonder why they would when they'd already known about it before hand???
Sit down anon. Stupidity doesn't look good on anyone.

Won’t you say goodbye? (Sunday x Reader)

Was your love all a joke to him? You’ll never know the answer. He already left .
A sigh escaped your lips as you gently swirl the liquid inside the glass in your hand .You look upon the horizon , watching penacony from the dreams edge . Your eyes well up with tears as you attempt to recall if you did anything wrong .
When you find nothing , you set down your glass on the edge of the wall and let the tears fall .
It all started when you realized that Sunday was hiding some crucial from you , now , being the head of the Oak Family required keeping secrets because , well , it’s confidential information.
But it wasn’t that , it was something that endangered everybody and could force everyone in an eternal slumber that nobody wanted .
He became an enemy of the astral express , a fugitive from Penacony , and disappeared to who knows where .
You closed your eyes , rested your forehead in the palm of your hands , and choked on a sob just thinking of him and how much you love him .
You spent weeks trying to find him, you went to the reverie , the golden hour , dreams edge , anywhere and everywhere.
And still , all your efforts were wasted .
Was he avoiding you? Did he hate you? Did he want to avoid your wrath? What did he want?
All you want is to see him again.
To hold him , to make him laugh , to see his face and admire all of him , to be there with him, lay down on the bed and sleep with him , kiss him . You just want him back . That’s all you ask.
Then you feel a cold metal hand on your shoulder , drawing you out of your thoughts.
“ Excuse me , are you feeling alright miss?” A soft voice asks you , though it sounds warped .
You turn around , and your eyes widen as you see Sunday , but when you blink , it’s just an intellitron . But you blink again .
It’s Sunday . Your lover.
You were about to tackle him , but then realized.
He’s hiding from you.
Your eyes dull , and you plaster a fake smile on your face as you respond to him ,” I’m … not doing the best or the worst . Just sort of numb .” Who wouldn’t be when they found out their lover was hiding from them?
You watch his eyebrows furrow, worry in his eyes, but also watch the intellitron’s face remain the same.
Their voices overlap each other as they say ,” I see , I do hope your day will get better ,if you don’t mind me asking, why are you so somber?”
You give a sad smile as you look away from him and stare into the horizon , “ I was looking for someone , someone so very dear to me , I looked for them for the past few weeks , giving my all . Only to realize they don’t want to be found by me or anyone else .”
You turn your head and see his eyes widen , and you also see the intellitron’s face remain indifferent . The person you’re looking for is right here . But you know he doesn’t want to be found .
The intellitron gives a curt nod , while Sunday’s eyes show a hint of guilt as they say ,” Truly ? I hope that you’ll find them soon . I’ll be taking my leave now , it’s seems that you need some time .”
A sigh escapes from your lips , your heart wrenching as you watch him slowly slip away from you , leaving you alone . Tears start dripping down your cheeks faster and faster , your vision blurring as you gaze longingly at his retreating form .
“I want to be with you again…” you whisper .
And likewise , he says “ May we reunite somewhere amongst the stars”
You clench your fists as you look down at your feet , sobbing as you let the love of your life leave your sight and board the astral express . Making you wait even longer to be with him.
( You feel like a fool , waiting for him )

Back In The Old Cemetery
Dhawan!Master x Reader - Previous Gomez!Master x Reader
Summary - On the anniversary of Missy’s death, you go to a nearby cemetery in order to remember and honour Missy in some way. However, you keep running into a random man throughout the day who seems determined to talk to you.
Based On This Request - Anonymous said - “Recently read “Did You Miss Me?” on your old blog, honestly amazing. If you’re open to it, may I request a similar scenario between Dhawan!Master x Reader? Maybe where they reunite for the first time after Missy’s death and admit they both still love each other despite the regeneration?”
Warnings - canon typical violence, references to season 10, descriptions of character death, romantic loss, sadness/depression, let me know if I missed anything and I will add it
Word Count - 4593
A/n - Gender Neutral Reader (but is referenced to own and be comfortable with wearing makeup). Requested by this lovely anon! Use of Y/n. Proofread but not beta read. I hope that you enjoy this! :)
This is loosely inspired by Hunter’s Moon by Ghost, primarily the second verse and just other Ghost songs and their vibe because I am obsessed with them.
Also, I’m sorry that this took so long. I was not having a great past couple of years. But I really appreciate the love for my old series(which I am slowly rewriting) and thank you so much for this request! I really hope that you enjoy this! :)
--------------------------------------------------------------
You felt like you were being watched. You had been feeling this way for a while now, at least for the past couple of months. You just chalked it up to a bout of heightened anxiety, however, due to the camera-filled and 24/7 news cycle-filled world that you now reluctantly called home. Life was so much simpler on The Master’s TARDIS.
It was ironic that her space was so calming given the nature of The Master and her chaotic lifestyle, but Missy’s ship was. The previous life and relationship you had with her always quelled any latent anxiety you felt about your home planet and people. Your life, alone on Earth, without The Master could never compare to the time you spent with her. Without Missy, you only became more aware of how miserable Earth could be at times. And despite her disdain for the majority of Humanity, you could tolerate your people more effortlessly with Missy’s help than you ever could manage without her presence in your life. She helped you with so much, but now she was gone forever.
You never properly entertained the thought that you were actually being followed, but as Missy had told you often, you were naively unaware of your ability to attract curious eyes. Missy had meant that as a compliment, despite the ominous tone. That is how she became fascinated with you, after all; by observing your quirks and interests from afar until she finally made herself known to you. You were simply just anxious without Missy. Simply anxious about being in a messy world without your person to help you sort out the mess. You weren’t actually being followed, right? The Doctor, even though you weren’t close, would step in, wouldn’t she? Especially after what happened to The Master and how the news affected you, right? You were just anxious, is all.
But if you were being followed, it wouldn’t be Missy playing a little trick on you. It couldn’t be her. She’s gone and she would never be coming back for you. The likelihood is that either your imagination was getting to you, or an enemy of either The Doctor or The Master was out to get you. Or it was just some random human being a creep. But it definitely wasn’t Missy. She died: that’s what The Doctor told you. Missy died alone and without you there to save or comfort her. And you knew The Doctor wasn’t lying about the fact that Missy was gone forever because she would have come to reunite herself with you if she was alive. But again, Missy died. You had to keep reminding yourself of that fact: Missy is dead. She’s gone. She’s never coming to save you. Ever again.
Today was the anniversary of when the newly regenerated Doctor informed you of the tragic news that Missy had died. The sentimentalist in you needed to mourn today, however, your plans to celebrate Missy’s memory added to your anxiety. You needed to honour Missy for yourself, but what if there was someone out there in your town, or the world, or the universe trying to get you? Today would be the perfect opportunity for an enemy to hurt you when you were already emotional and susceptible.
Eventually, though, you did convince yourself to leave your apartment. Today was for Missy, after all, not you. When the date caught your attention a couple of weeks ago, the first step of your plan was to go to Missy’s old Human job from when you first met. You would be torturing yourself by doing this, but you needed to purchase two bouquets of flowers. After purchasing your mournful bounty, you would walk to the nearest cemetery. Then, at the cemetery, you would leave one bouquet in remembrance of your beloved Master while taking the other bouquet home with you to memorialise Missy there as well. You even considered preserving it so you could have an idol of memories for longer.
Looking back on your history with The Master, it was probably an incredibly bleak omen for your relationship with her, but during Missy’s lunch breaks and on your travels home from work, the two of you would stride through the little parklike cemetery just around the corner from the shopping centre. Both of you would always be incredibly surprised by how beautiful the cemetery was; there was an assortment of trees that would offer ample shade to the gravestones and there was a winding cobblestone path fenced by flowers throughout. There was also a tall, cleanly cut hedge that bordered the whole property, alongside the iron gates delicately surrounding the cemetery.
Missy genuinely loved that little cemetery. Before you knew that she was an alien, she would often say that this cemetery was the most beautiful thing on Earth, other than you. You always asked her how she could possibly know every place on the planet, to which she would only wink at you teasingly. After discovering her true nature, her statement made more sense but you still wondered why this cemetery was so special to Missy. She could travel anywhere she wished, in all time and space. It never failed to shock you that The Master, the infamous rogue Gallifreyian, would treasure such a simple place. So where else you would go to mournfully celebrate her beautifully chaotic life? In your mind, there was no other option.
When you walked toward the small town shopping centre where Missy cemented her Human facade, you wrapped your coat tighter around your torso. You were cold, yes, but you needed something to hold onto to brave all of the resurfacing memories. You sighed deeply when you entered the shop and then briskly moved to the shop's mediocre selection of flowers without looking up from your feet.
The flower options and pre-arranged bouquets always looked more expensive and put together, even well into the winter, when Missy was working here. All of the bouquets she gave you were of the best quality.
“Never less than the best for you, my love,” Missy would always respond with this line when you complained that you didn’t need anything fancy.
Missy might have lied about buying flowers from this little shop, now that you thought about it. But you would rather choose to believe that Missy manipulated her “superiors” into buying and displaying more expensive bouquets and flowers to enhance the reputation of the place rather than her lying to you.
“Excuse me?” A voice sounded to your side, tearing you away from your thoughts of Missy. You turned sharply to the person trying to get your attention. He was a man a couple of inches taller than Missy with mesmerising dark amber, mixed with coffee and chocolate, eyes that were filled with care. He was wearing a button-down, slacks, and a heavy-looking deep purple coat, which seemed a bit out of place given the weather hadn’t turned properly cold yet. Maybe the man just ran cold?
“I think you dropped this.” The man held out a case of lipstick, intending to return it to you. You were shocked, still disoriented from being ripped out of your thoughts. You accepted the lipstick with a curt ‘thank you’, ignoring the jolt of electricity that passed through you when your hand accidentally brushed against the stranger’s fingers.
You immediately turned back to the display of bouquets before you, gripping the case of lipstick tightly in your hand. You had assumed that the man had left to either look around the shop or to leave, but to your horror, he continued to stand beside you. He returned your item. So, why hadn't he left yet? You just wanted him to leave your side. You didn’t want to interact with anyone more than you had to today. Today was too horrible for you to pretend to be friendly with strangers.
“Looking for anything specific?” The man asked after an agonising silence from the two of you just standing side by side in front of the flower display. He didn’t sound creepy like many people, usually men, sounded in situations like this, making you believe that he was actually curious. Even if he had good intentions, that didn’t dissolve your desire to be left alone, but you tried to be as nice as you could today.
“Something respectful. Not gaudy or obnoxiously and obviously meant to be gifted as an attempt to woo a Tinder match on a first date.”
“So like, cemetery flowers?” You whipped your head back to look at the stranger because of that question. Could he see your plan on your face or in your posture?  How could he tell what your intentions were? The stranger shrugged his shoulders, almost as if he heard your thoughts.
“Yes, cemetery flowers.”
“These are quite smart. Whoever you are planning on visiting would love to have these on their grave.” The man plucked a bouquet wrapped in dark red wrapping from the shelf. The bouquet consisted primarily of fresh crimson roses and red salvia, with sprigs of baby’s breath and forget-me-nots to round out the assortment. When they were in shadow, the roses practically looked like dried blood, which thanks to Missy you knew what that looked like a bit too well.
You paused, sucked in a breath, shocked by the man’s forward nature. Then you quickly grabbed the flowers, shoved the lipstick into your coat pocket and moved to purchase the bouquet without another word being given to the stranger. You hoped that the man would have left the store by the time you had finished purchasing the flowers, however, he stopped you once again by the exit of the shop.
“I hope you have a good time at the cemetery.” He said, smiling, as if this was an everyday occurrence, but, like before, you didn’t respond. You rushed out of the shop so overcome with a torrent of emotions. You just needed to get out of there. You didn’t even realise until you were far away from the shops and the stranger that you failed to choose a second bouquet for yourself. You hoped that the second bouquet would be one similar to the ones Missy would gift to you, but because of that strange man part of your plan for the day was ruined. You would have to go back to the shops tomorrow.
Eventually, you slowed to a meditative walking pace on your way to the cemetery. After many deep breaths, you managed to decrease and steady your erratic breath and rapid heart rate. You tried to forget your interaction with the stranger and just refocus your mind on Missy: the good, the bad, the happy and the sad, all of your time with her. You just wanted to be surrounded by the memory of your lover, in general, but also to remember her existence in the most reverent way possible. Even though the weight of her memory was a heavy burden to carry, you had to do this for her.
Halfway to the cemetery, the moon emerged from its hiding spot behind a cloud. It was still light out, but the full specialness of the day became apparent to you. The orangy-red hue of the night’s Hunter’s Moon was soft but you imagined that it would darken and grow deeper in tone the longer it hung in the evening air into the night. Apparently, even your solar system wanted to help you mourn the loss of Missy.
Along with cemeteries, Missy loved abnormal moons. She would always drag you out of your apartment or plead with you to retrieve her from The Vault in a basement at St. Luke’s University so the two of you could go stargazing, or moongazing as it were. She loved Hunter’s Moons in particular, both because of the season they appeared in, but also because of the eerie atmosphere.
You finally entered the cemetery through the tall and squeaky black gates that enclosed the cemetery just as it was beginning to grow dark outside. After walking along the pathway for a few minutes, you saw the familiar bench where you and Missy would always sit.
Once you took a seat on the bench, you looked around the large, enclosed, cemetery. It had been a little over a year since you had been here last and you realised how much you missed this place. It truly was beautiful, in the gloomy and bittersweet way that many cemeteries were, but beautiful nonetheless.
You wished that you could have something tangible to remember Missy’s death and life. A trinket or object of Missy’s that would now be yours. Like all of the families that had loved ones buried in this place, they had something more tangible than you did. You wanted what they had. Even though death is never easy, their situations were easier to comprehend than yours. Missy died on a spaceship in the future galaxies away from Earth. You had nothing left of her and it felt as if nothing ever happened because of it.
Suddenly, you remembered the lipstick that the stranger had returned to you. You removed it from the pocket you had hidden it in in the rush of everything. You stared at the lipstick, curiously. The item definitely wasn’t yours. It looked like the one Missy would always use. But how could the stranger have this? Was Missy’s lipstick in your coat pocket this entire time? That didn’t make sense. You had worn this coat before and the lipstick wasn’t in any of the pockets. Not to mention the fact that Missy never went anywhere without her lipstick. It was unlikely that she would ever ask you to carry it for her.
You stared at the lipstick in your palm and reminisced about a random night when Missy was trapped on Earth. It was the night of a Hunter’s Moon, just like the one you sat under tonight. The Doctor graciously allowed Missy to leave The Vault for a night so the two of you could celebrate your anniversary.
The two of you went to a fancy restaurant that was far too expensive for you, but Missy took care of the bill as it was meaningless. Given her motto, any expense might have been excusable to The Master if you were the one asking for or needing something. After your meal, you somehow convinced Missy to go to a club. You bribed her by stating that she had never been to a Human club before. So why not go to one with you? Finally, the two of you drunkenly stumbled through your favourite cemetery under the light of the blood-orange moon while sharing a bottle of Asgardian mead that Missy had apparently stolen from the halls of Valhalla. At the time, you didn’t know whether or not to believe her because of how drunk she was, she easily could have been exaggerating. You later asked The Doctor about her story and to your delight, and The Doctor’s embarrassment, the story was real and unembellished.
You and Missy had briefly stopped at the bench you were now sitting on. You probably wouldn’t have recognised the bench after your drunken night out except for the fact that Missy carved your and her names onto the arm of the bench. Your names were intertwined in typical Gallifreyian marriage writing, where the names are entwined together to signify the bond between those in the relationship.
Despite the momentary rest, you had to beg Missy to return to The Vault that day because you were cold and your feet hurt. Missy never wanted that night to end but you promised to cuddle her for at least two hours before leaving for your apartment. You wished that you could stay, but The Doctor hadn’t allowed you to stay the night in The Vault.
After much convincing, your stubborn alien lover eventually agreed to your deal. Before leaving the cemetery though, Missy reapplied her lipstick and then kissed you all over your face and neck. You had to return Missy to The Vault in that state, much to The Doctor’s disgust. It was a great memory and a great day that you wished you could replicate with Missy. It saddened you to no end that you would never be able to do that, though. The Master was dead.
“May I sit here?” The voice of a man broke you out of your haze. No, not any man, the man. The stranger from the little shop that Missy used to work at was standing beside the empty seat on the bench.
“Did you follow me?” You shot back, angrier than you intended because he tore you away from Missy again. But this was all just too strange to not be angry about.
“Would a normal person follow a stranger into a cemetery?”
“No, but whoever said that you were a normal person?”
“What’s the fun in being normal?” The man crossed his arms with a smirk. You turned away in order to hide your slight smile. He was fun, you had to give him that, even though it upset you to admit this.
“People might trust you more.” You said after you regained your composure.
“The only person I want to trust me is you.” Again, you were shocked by the man and his forwardness, which appeared to be becoming a regular occurrence.
“Are you chatting me up in a cemetery?”
“Is it working?” The man’s smirk grew confidently and part of you just couldn’t resist his smile. You sighed defeatedly. You scooted over a bit on the bench to be closer to the carved arm and to allow enough space for the stranger to sit comfortably. You looked up to the moon as the man sat down. The Hunter’s Moon was now a deep orange with tones of red around the edges. There was another strange silence haunting the air between the two of you, until the man ruined it. You were starting to become used to this stranger’s habit of randomly breaking silences.
“Are you here for someone?” He sounded kinder, softer, than he did what asking you questions at the shop.
“You ask a lot of questions.”
“That’s because you’re interesting.” The man bumped your shoulder with his. You hummed sceptically. This man, though intriguing, was like no person you ever met. He didn’t seem to care about social norms or what society deemed to be acceptable. Who else would flirt in a cemetery? Well, Missy would, but she was an alien.
“I’m kind of here for someone, yes. Their body isn’t here, but I like coming here, or any other cemetery really, to remember my person. I haven’t been to this cemetery in a while though, memories and all that, but I knew that I needed to be here tonight. What about you?”
“Yes, I’m here for someone, too.”
“I’m sorry.” You meant this genuinely. You didn’t know the man beside you and he had a propensity for behaving in an unorthodox manner, but he was still a person. You knew how hard it was to lose someone and you would never want to belittle someone’s grief. You locked eyes with this stranger for the first time since the moment in the little shop and held his gaze. You found it to be bizarre to feel so connected to a stranger but here you were talking to this man about Missy. You barely even talked about her to your best friends.
“There is no need for you to apologise, love. You weren’t the one to rip me away from the person I care about the most.” He bumped your shoulder again. Given the fact that you were facing each other now, you couldn’t take the intensity of being so close to the man. So, you looked away, flustered.
“Wow, I never thought I would have so much in common with a stranger in a cemetery.” You joked. You leaned over the arm of the bench slightly to move away from the man. You didn’t want to disgrace The Master’s memory in any way; it would be best to keep this stranger at a distance. To comfort yourself, you ran your hand over the carving Missy made, trying to commit the pattern to your mind to the best of your ability.
“You never know, you could meet the love of your life anywhere. A little shop, for instance.” The man still sounded positive despite your slightly uncomfortable demeanour. You liked this man, but you were worried that you were disrespecting Missy by even entertaining the idea of seeing someone else. How could you even be with someone else after The Master?
“Yeah, a little shop meet cute …” You traced the carving again absentmindedly while staring at the moon and the clouds passing over it. But the man once again distracted you from your sadness, though it wasn’t because of something he said like the many, many times before. Instead, the stranger pulled out a pocket watch that looked suspiciously too familiar.
“Where did you get that?” You grabbed the man’s wrist and pulled his hand, and inadvertently him, closer to you in order to inspect the watch. It was old, properly old, not just decorated to look like an antique. It looked identical to The Master’s watch.
“Oh this, I’ve always had it. Since I was a child, an orphan, abandoned, found in the storm.” Missy had told you stories about her past, one of which was when she, he then, had been hiding in a Human form at the end of the Universe. You turned the watch over in the man’s hand and saw the circular Gallifreyian carved into the back of the object. You tentatively ran your finger over the writing, tears threatening to spill from your eyes.
“This is not possible.” You croaked, still looking at the watch in the man’s steady hand. How could the man beside you have Missy’s watch? Unless they survived. Unless she regenerated. But The Doctor said they died. She was certain that they died and would not be returning. Could The Master really be alive?
“Y/n, love, anything is possible.” The man whispered in your ear as you felt him move and place his arm around your back. He softly rubbed circles on your back but you didn’t feel it. You felt like your world was spinning and nothing was certain any more.
“It’s not you. It can’t be.” You shook your head. This couldn’t be possible. Your grip on the man’s watch and hand tightened when you finally looked up at him, scared. When you looked into his eyes, that’s when you began crying. He looked so worried for you, but there was hope and love laced into the look he gave you. You shook your head, still not convinced that The Master was really stilling beside you, holding you. But The Master nodded and smiled.
“It’s really me, darling. I swear on lipstick and Asgardian mead. Nothing in this Universe, any Universe, could ever keep me away from you.” The Master wanted to wipe your tears from your face, but before he could you jumped into The Master’s arms and practically knocked him over into the other arm of the bench due to the force of your hug.
“Master, is it really you?” You asked into his shoulder, not able to control the crazy mix of joy and sadness you felt.
“Of course it’s me, darling. You didn’t really think that I would just leave you on this miserable planet alone, did you?” The Master caressed the back of your head and every so often placed a kiss on the side of your face.
“But how? The Doctor said -” You shoved yourself away from The Master wanting a clear answer, but he cut off your excited questioning.
“The Doctor is often wrong, especially about me.” The Master smiled and winked at you triumphantly. You let out an ecstatic noise that you had never made before in your life and hurled yourself into The Master for another bruising hug.
“Can we go home now?” You mumbled into The Master’s purple coat.
“We?” The Master asked hesitantly.
“Yes, why not we?” You pulled back from The Master again with a worried look written on your face. You couldn’t help but be a bit worried after everything. The Master had just returned to you, you didn’t want to lose him again so soon.
“You aren’t bothered by my new form?” The Master questioned while gesturing to himself.
“No, you’re still The Master. You’re still my Master.” The Master smirked before leaning close to you. He cupped your face in his hands and pressed a kiss to your forehead.
“I knew that I loved you for a reason.”
“I love you so much. And I’ve missed you so much, Master.”
“Well, no more missing me. We are together now and nothing is going to rip me away from you ever again, and you are right, we should go home. It has been far, far, too long.” The Master removed himself from your arms and stood from the bench. He held his hand out for you, wiggling his fingers enthusiastically. You gladly accepted his offer and then proceeded to interlock your fingers.
“Before we get to my TARDIS, I should warn you that the ship looks quite different to how you will remember it.” The Master informed you as the two of you walked down the cobblestone path toward the gates of the cemetery.
“That’s okay.” You said into The Master’s shoulder as you braced your body against his to withstand the massive gust of wind that blew through the gates of the cemetery. The rest of autumn appeared like it was going to be a cold one.
“Really? You’re comfortable with everything being so different. I thought that you would be having a more difficult time with this.” The Master shed his coat and placed it around your shoulders.
“Change is easier with you, Master. And I would rather have you in my life in a different form than not in my life at all.” You cuddled into the rouge alien’s coat. He, like his previous regeneration, smelled of smoke and whiskey. Missy also smelled like cranberries, whereas this new regeneration of The Master slightly smelled like cinnamon in combination with the whiskey and smoke.
“My previous regeneration would have made fun of your sentimentality, but this regeneration loves the attention.”
“Good! There is a year’s worth of affection that you missed out on.”
When the two of you reached the door of The TARDIS, which now appeared as a large home rather than Missy’s preferred look of a wardrobe, The Master stopped you and caressed a hand down your face. His eyes, though very different than Missy’s, displayed the same devotion and love for you. Things change, but at the same time, everything stays. The Master was still your Master, just in a different package. And you still loved them, no matter what they looked like.
The Master finally leant forward and captured your lips in a passionate kiss filled with all the love and longing he held for you, as the night’s Hunter’s Moon cast a warm glow upon the two of you. There will be so much adjustment ahead of you both, but you know that you will be able to succeed and overcome the difficulties to come as long as you and The Master are together.

You felt a surge of betrayal twist through you, an uncomfortable déjà vu that made your stomach drop. The whole scene was surreal, and your mind spun, trying to piece it all together. But before you could say a word, Sigtryggr's hand found yours under the blanket, his grip firm and panicked.
“This—this isn’t what it looks like, I swear,” he stammered, his face pale and clearly horrified by the scene unfolding. He scrambled to sit up, looking between you and the woman standing in the doorway. “This is… this is Stiorra, my ex-girlfriend.”
Stiorra crossed her arms, one eyebrow raised as she regarded him with a mix of annoyance and disbelief. “And in case there’s any doubt,” she interjected, “I’m the one who threw him out.” Her eyes flicked to you, and a slightly sheepish smile softened her expression. “Told him to never come back, actually.”
Sigtryggr winced, rubbing the back of his neck. “Not exactly a high point in our relationship,” he muttered. Then, as if desperate to regain some semblance of control, he gestured toward the kitchen. “Stiorra, why don’t you, uh… wait in the kitchen? Give us a moment?”
With a sigh that suggested she was equally exhausted by this awkward situation, Stiorra shrugged. “Fine. But we’re talking after,” she said, shooting him a look that clearly communicated there was unfinished business between them. She turned on her heel, retreating to the kitchen and leaving the two of you in a tense silence.
You exhaled, still feeling the sting of surprise. “So, let me get this straight. Your ex-girlfriend who kicked you out now has a key and comes barging in?”
Sigtryggr’s cheeks flushed as he stumbled over his words. “It’s… complicated. We broke up months ago. She kept the key for emergencies, but I didn’t think she’d actually use it. I mean, she made it pretty clear she never wanted to see me again.” He shook his head, his eyes wide with a mixture of embarrassment and desperation. “I had no idea she’d be coming by today, I swear.”
You let out a breath, half-amused by his genuine horror at the situation. Despite everything, there was something undeniably ridiculous about it all. Here was this cool, collected artist, now completely rattled by his ex-girlfriend unexpectedly showing up while he was in bed with someone else.
You finally cracked a small smile. “You couldn’t make this up if you tried.”
He groaned, rubbing his face with his hands. “This really isn’t how I imagined our morning together going. I’m sorry.”
Before you could respond, Stiorra’s voice called from the kitchen. “I’m making coffee. There’s milk and sugar somewhere—if Sigtryggr actually bought groceries this week, that is.”
Sigtryggr’s eyes met yours, full of sheepishness, and you couldn’t help but laugh, the tension starting to dissolve. “I’ll take that as a hint to get dressed,” you said, sliding out of bed and grabbing your clothes, feeling his gaze following you apologetically.
“Take your time,” Stiorra called again, her voice faintly dripping with irony. “I’ll try not to make it more awkward.”
As if more awkward was even possible, a stifled laugh escaped you as you slipped into your clothes, feeling like you were in some strange, twisted sitcom. Sigtryggr joined you, tossing on his shirt and jeans quickly, his eyes darting nervously between you and the kitchen.
Once you were both dressed, you headed to the kitchen. Stiorra was there, leaning against the counter with a mug in hand, her lips twisted in a wry smile. She looked at you and Sigtryggr with an expression that was part curiosity, part thinly veiled irritation. Two other steaming mugs waited on the counter and you grabbed one like a life saviour.
"Well," she drawled, swirling her coffee. "I see you’ve wasted no time finding a replacement." Her gaze flicked from you to Sigtryggr, her tone razor-sharp. "Or were you just waiting for the perfect moment to jump into someone else’s bed, Sigtryggr? Good to know you’ve been so… resilient."
You saw a flicker of hurt cross Sigtryggr’s face as he tried to respond, his gaze darting briefly to you before returning to Stiorra, as if caught in some unresolved pull. He shifted beside you, clearing his throat awkwardly. "Stiorra," he managed, his voice tight, "you know it’s not  like that. It’s been almost half a year..."
But she didn’t give him room to explain. She looked down at her coffee, a hint of sadness breaking through her sarcasm as her fingers tightened around the mug. "I didn’t come here to make a scene," she murmured, her tone softening. "I just… I thought I wanted to move on. But maybe I was wrong."
You swallowed hard, your eyes darted from Sigtryggr to his ex-girlfriend and truth be told the only coherent thought was the increasingly intensive wish for the earth to open up and swallow you whole. Facing lions in the Colosseum would have been a more appealing option than drinking coffee in what you’d thought was your new boyfriend’s kitchen, watching it turn into a stage for a soap opera. Whoever said, "If something looks too good to be true, it probably is," had clearly known exactly what they were talking about.
Stiorra lifted her gaze to meet Sigtryggr’s, her defiance melting into something softer, tinged with regret.
"Siggy, baby, I’m so sorry!" she blurted, her voice cracking as her teary eyes searched his. The sudden burst of emotions startled you both, leaving the room steeped in uncomfortable tension. "Leaving you wasn’t what I thought I wanted," she continued, the words tumbling out, unrestrained and unguarded. "It was the biggest mistake of my life, and I just hoped you… you might feel the same. I couldn’t wait any longer—I just needed to tell you this." Her gaze darted back to the steaming coffee in her hands, as though she couldn’t bear to face him anymore. “I never imagined you’d move on so fast, not after everything we had together.”
You glanced over at Sigtryggr, who looked as if he’d just been slapped with a cold fish. The usual calm, steady demeanour he carried so effortlessly was gone, replaced by a vulnerable uncertainty you hadn’t seen before. His mouth opened as if to respond, then closed again, his mind clearly spinning in too many directions to form coherent words. He looked at you briefly, but his attention was drawn back to Stiorra, as if caught by an invisible thread that still connected them.
His eyes softened, a hint of that old, unguarded affection surfacing as he stammered. “Stiorra, I… I didn’t expect this. I thought… we were over. I thought you’d moved on.”
The longing in his voice was unmistakable. You felt an odd pang, a mixture of empathy and unease as you watched him struggle. The way he looked at her, his gaze clouded with both confusion and something undeniably tender, told you more than his words ever could. And strangely you didn’t even feel betrayed. You felt a deep understanding, even sympathy kindling within you.
It was clearly time to make an exit before this scene turned into a full-blown tragicomedy. But before you could even think of a polite way to excuse yourself, Stiorra’s gaze shifted to you, a knowing smile tugging at her lips.
“Oh, I know who you are,” she said, her tone casual—almost too casual. “You must be the mysterious girl who broke Sihtric’s heart. I’ve seen your picture, actually. He still keeps one in his wallet.”
“What?” The words hit you like a frying pan to the face, and you nearly dropped your coffee mug. This was beyond surreal; it was a nightmare layered with unwanted revelations. You glanced around, looking for any possible way to evaporate from the room as a wave of nausea crept over you.
Stiorra caught your reaction, her gaze sharpening as if sensing your unease. “No,” she said, her eyes assessing you calmly. “Not like that. Sihtric and I were never… involved.” She gave a casual shrug, one that seemed both reassuring and indifferent. “But I know him well enough. He worked for my father, Uhtred, for quite some time. And we have some mutual friends—Finan, Osferth. They’re close, practically brothers.”
You swallowed, still processing the shock as she spoke, and noticed the way her gaze flickered, slightly more empathetic now. Sigtryggr shifted beside you, clearly uncomfortable with where the conversation was heading, his gaze moving between you and Stiorra.
“Stiorra,” he said, clearing his throat, his voice a mixture of discomfort and quiet insistence, “I think we’re all getting a bit caught off guard here.”
Stiorra shrugged, but her expression softened as she looked back at him. “Maybe,” she admitted, voice gentler now. “But some things are better said than left hanging.” She turned her attention back to you. “Haven’t seen him in a while, but… he never really got over you, you know.”
The words landed like a stone in your chest, and for a moment, you felt the weight of everything you’d tried to put behind you pressing in.
“Wait, hold on!” you blurted out, the words escaping faster than you could stop them and surely much louder than you wanted. “I broke his heart? What the hell are you talking about? He was the one who found someone else less than a week after I was out of sight.”
Stiorra’s eyes widened at your outburst. She hesitated before responding, her voice softer, almost cautious. “Wait… really? I don’t know all the details,” she admitted, glancing away briefly, “but I know for sure that Sihtric has been a mess since you left. Osferth and Finan have been trying to get him back on his feet, trying to knock some sense into him. But he’s just… shut everyone out, suffering in silence.”
You opened your mouth to argue, but something in her expression stopped you. There was a subtle reproach that made you falter.
Her words stung. You knew them—Osferth and Finan—Sihtric’s closest friends. Meeting them had felt like a significant step, almost as if you were meeting his family. Sihtric barely spoke about his parents or any siblings, but these two were an inseparable part of his life. The night he’d introduced you to them still lingered vividly in your memory.
Finan had taken to you right away, looking at you with an approving grin, clapping Sihtric on the shoulder and saying, “Finally, he’s found someone who might actually keep him in line.” His easy laughter and quick wit made you feel like you’d known him for years, and there was a warmth to his acceptance that had meant more than he probably knew.
Osferth, meanwhile, had been a bit more reserved, a touch of shyness in his gentle eyes. But there had been a sweetness in the way he’d talked to you, always quick to ask if you needed anything, checking that you felt included. You’d quickly learned he was the steady, caring presence in their group, looking out for both Sihtric and Finan with a brotherly devotion.
Those early evenings with them had been filled with laughter and endless stories from their nights out. You’d felt embraced by the friendship, a part of the easy bond they all shared. But when Sihtric walked out of your life, that sense of belonging had vanished too. They had been his friends, not yours, and your connection with them had ended as abruptly as your relationship with him.
“Look,” Stiorra continued, her voice pulling you back from your thoughts, “there are always two sides to a story. But only one truth. If you want to know more, maybe… maybe you should talk to Finan and Osferth. They know him better than anyone and could probably tell you more than I can.”
Without another word, you stood up, the urge to leave overpowering any sense of decorum. Sigtryggr reached out, his face a mix of surprise and worry as he tried to get your attention. “Hey, are you okay? What’s going on?”
You shook your head, barely able to meet his gaze. “I just… I need to go. I need…” The words trailed off, but you didn’t even bother to finish the sentence as you hastily grabbed your purse and headed to the doors without a single look back.
You knew that Osferth worked as an assistant stylist at one of the top fashion studios, and Finan had a reputation as a brilliant set designer, always moving between shoots with an infectious energy. They were well-known figures in the industry, so it didn’t take long to track them down at a nearby studio where they were scheduled to prepare for an upcoming campaign.
The studio was bustling when you arrived. Assistants hurried about, racks of clothes lined the walls, and the hum of people preparing for a major shoot filled the space. You spotted Finan first, standing with his hands on his hips, joking with a lighting technician, his signature grin lighting up his face. Beside him, Osferth was focused on arranging a set of accessories on a table, his usually reserved expression serious as he worked.
Taking a deep breath, you stepped forward, and Finan caught sight of you. His grin faded, replaced by surprise that quickly gave way to guarded curiosity. He nudged Osferth, who looked up in shock, the familiar softness in his eyes now laced with uncertainty and distance you hadn’t expected. The two exchanged a look before approaching you, their movements careful, almost wary, as if they were unsure of how to greet you.
“Hey,” you managed, your voice catching. “I… I need to talk to you. About Sihtric.”
“Well,” Finan said, crossing his arms, his voice lacking its usual warmth. “If it isn’t the ghost from Sihtric’s past.”
The jab landed harder than you’d expected, his accusatory tone sinking into you like a heavy stone.
Finan’s gaze was steely, his arms crossed tightly over his chest as he fixed you with an unforgiving look. “Do you have any idea what you’ve done to him?” he said, his voice thick with frustration. “Twice now, you’ve come crashing into his life—first, tearing him apart, and now, strolling back in like a stranger, as if he doesn’t deserve even a shred of understanding for everything he’s been through. The least you could do is thank him for what he did for you.”
“What he did for me?” you repeated, your voice barely a whisper, caught in a haze of disbelief. You couldn’t even process the meaning behind his accusations, feeling as if you’d just walked into an ambush. You regretted coming here, every instinct screaming at you to turn and leave, to escape this room and the anger that pressed down on you from all sides. Blinking back tears that threatened to spill, you took a shaky step back, but Finan didn’t relent.
He moved closer, his gaze piercing, his voice unyielding. “Do you know how long it took him to get his life back together after you left?” he continued, his tone unwavering. “To even begin piecing himself back together? And then you show up out of nowhere, with no idea what he’s been through, and somehow make him fall all over again.”
Stunned, you stared at him, but he wasn’t finished. “We’ve been trying to help him move on for ages. Osferth and I—do you know how many nights we’ve spent picking him up after he shut everyone out, barely holding on? He’s been carrying this burden alone since the day he let you go.” Finan scoffed, his voice low and dark with exasperation. “And you—you have the nerve to walk back and judge him?”
You wanted to move but you felt rooted to the spot as you couldn’t keep the tears from rolling down your cheeks anymore. “Thank him? For what? For dropping me and finding another less than a week after I wasn’t in sight? For ruining my life, leaving me gathering the shards?”
Finan drew a deep breath, but Osferth interrupted him, placing a calming hand on Finan’s arm, though his face still held traces of disappointment as he looked at you. “Finan wait. Something’s not right there.” His eyes shifted to you, his expression softening, but only slightly. “And that’s all you know about what happened?”  he asked, his tone measured but no less serious.
“What else is there to know?” you snapped, frustration simmering in your chest. “I thought he loved me, and the next thing I know, he’s moved on like I never existed. I think I have a right to be a little angry.”
Finan exchanged a glance with Osferth, as if confirming something, then sighed, rubbing his temples. “So, Gisela never told you why he did it?”
You felt your stomach clench at the mention of Gisela. Confusion gave way to a creeping unease, your mind racing to piece together what they were trying to say. “Gisela?” you repeated, barely masking the surprise in your voice. “What does she have to do with any of this?”
Osferth shifted uncomfortably, his gaze turning thoughtful. “Gisela came to him. Said it would be better if he… stepped aside. She told him about that offer you got, the scholarship and the contract – that once in a lifetime opportunity for you. She’s the one who convinced him to let you go. She told him it would be best for you to focus on your future, that he was holding you back.  And Sihtric… well, he thought he was doing what was best for you.”
“Best for me?” The words felt hollow, ringing with an irony that cut deeper with each syllable. You felt a wave of disbelief crash over you, your stomach twisting as you processed his words.
Osferth nodded, his gaze sombre. “He figured if he just… cut ties, you’d have no reason to look back. He tried to bury how he felt, make you believe he’d moved on. But we both know it tore him apart. He’s never been the same since you left.”
You felt your knees weaken, the ground beneath you seeming to tilt as the truth settled over you, each piece of information landing like a blow. The anger, the hurt, the betrayal—all of it twisted into something else, something that left you feeling hollow. Your legs gave way, turning to jelly, and you would have surely hit the ground if Finan and Osferth hadn’t steadied you from each side.
“Easy there!” Finan’s voice had softened, a warmth returning that you hadn’t expected as he guided you, his anger replaced by concern. He quickly waved to a set assistant walking nearby. “Get a chair—and some water!” he called, his tone firm but urgent.
You barely noticed the assistant rushing off. A chair was brought over, and Finan and Osferth eased you into it, the world around you blurring as you tried to comprehend what you just heard. Osferth knelt beside you, his eyes steady and full of sadness as he handed you the water.
“I… I didn’t know,” you stammered, the words feeling small, inadequate. You looked at them, your voice cracking. “I thought he… I thought he didn’t care. I thought he wanted me gone.”
Finan shook his head, his gaze softening as he met your eyes. “It was never about him not caring. He thought he was doing the right thing—for you.”
“He’s been living with that choice,” Finan added quietly, his eyes meeting yours, “because he thought it would give you a better life.”
Osferth placed a comforting hand on your shoulder, his tone gentle. “Sometimes people make the hardest choices for the ones they love. Doesn’t mean they don’t hurt just as much.”
“Maybe… maybe it’s time you hear it from him,” Finan said softly, his tone no longer accusatory but understanding.
—---------------------------------------------------
The worry gnawed at you, growing with each unanswered call, each message left unread. Sihtric had vanished after the fashion show, and as the hours without a word turned into an entire day, you found yourself pacing around your apartment like a caged animal, restless and frustrated.
You hadn’t wanted to go to his place—not at first. The idea of stepping into his space felt like giving up the neutral ground you’d hoped to keep. But as your concern deepened, it became clear that there was no other option. With a resigned sigh, you grabbed your things and headed out, finally making your way to his apartment.
When you arrived, you looked up to see a warm glow coming from Sihtric’s window. Relief flooded over you—he was home. You exhaled deeply, feeling the tightness in your chest ease, if only a little. You deliberately chose the stairs over the elevator, hoping the walk up would give you time to gather your thoughts. But even with the extra moments, your mind remained frustratingly blank, and your heart raced like a drumbeat in your chest.
Standing in front of his door, you raised your hand to the doorbell, trying to ignore the nervous twist in your stomach. But instead of ringing, you pressed your palm and ear to the door, straining to hear any sign of movement on the other side. Come on, you can do this, you urged yourself, taking a deep, steadying breath. Finally, you lifted your hand and pressed the button, feeling your pulse quicken as you waited for him to answer.
A sinking feeling twisted in your gut as there was only silence on the other side but you refused to give up. You pressed the doorbell again, then again, determined to get some response. Still, nothing.
“Sihtric,” you finally called. “I know you’re in there. I can see the light. Please, just talk to me.”
Silence stretched, pressing down on you. Frustrated, you balled your fists and pounded on the door, the echo of each hit ricocheting down the empty corridor. Somewhere down the hall, a door creaked open, and you glanced over your shoulder to find a pair of curious, disapproving eyes peering at you through a crack. But you were beyond caring about nosy neighbours. Ignoring them, you turned back to Sihtric’s door and knocked again, your voice catching slightly as you called his name once more.
Just as you felt the last shimmer of hope begin to slip away, you heard a faint shuffle behind the door, the sound of hesitant footsteps drawing closer. Relief flickered through you, only to fade as his voice, rough and bitter, cut through the silence.
“Just… go away,” he muttered, his tone carrying a heaviness that felt like a punch to the chest. “There’s nothing to talk about.”
“Sihtric?” you called, pressing a hand against the door. “Please, open up. I just want to talk.”
Silence. But you knew he was there, so you waited. A bitter, muffled voice finally answered. “Why? There’s nothing more to talk about,” he replied, his tone rough, barely masking the exhaustion in his voice. “Just… leave me alone.”
Ignoring his dismissal, you leaned closer, unwilling to let him shut you out. “Sihtric, please. I was wrong. I was wrong not wanting to listen to you, shutting you out. Please open the door, so we can talk. I just… I need to understand.”
He scoffed from the other side, the bitterness in his voice cutting. “Understand? You want to understand now? Why? You have your perfect little life, your perfect job, your prince charming.” His words were laced with sarcasm. “You want to judge me? I already gave you the chance for that at the show. I saw it on your face. I don’t need more of that.”
You pressed your forehead against the door, your heart pounding as you tried to will back tears slowly gathering in the corners of your eyes. “I’m sorry. Sihtric, can you hear me? I’m so sorry. And I wasn’t judging you, Sihtric. I was just… surprised. I’m not here to make things worse. I came because I care.”
On the other side of the door, Sihtric stood still, barely breathing, his entire body tense. He could feel the ache in his shoulders and neck, the result of hours spent tossing and turning through a sleepless night, haunted by thoughts of you and his own spiralling decisions. Every muscle felt heavy, weighed down by exhaustion, regret and anger.
He wanted to open the door. Part of him ached to see you, to hear your voice without the barrier between you. But another part—larger, stronger, the part that had convinced him to let you go years ago—held him back. That part reminded him of everything he’d become, the mess he’d made of his life since then, and the humiliation of his drunken, jealousy-fueled outburst at the fashion show. He clenched his fists, fighting the shame that burned inside him, wondering if he could ever face you again.
His heart pounded, each beat reverberating with the bitterness that had taken root within him. What did he have to offer you now? He was broken, he knew that much, and he’d spent too long building up his defences to believe someone would want to come close enough to help him pick up the pieces. Especially not you—the one person he’d hurt most by pushing you away.
Drawing a deep shaky breath he slowly slid down to the ground, resting his back against the door. His elbows propped on his knees he buried his face in his hands, the world reduced to the darkness behind his closed eyelids.
The memories of the fashion show flashed in his mind—your face when he’d approached you, the shock and disappointment in your eyes, the way he’d stumbled through his words, lost in a haze of jealousy and alcohol. The regret was a deep wound now, throbbing with every word you spoke on the other side of the door.
What could he say to you? That he was sorry? Sorry didn’t even begin to cover the tangled mess he’d made of things.
The sound of your voice, pleading, coaxing him to open the door, tore at him. He could feel you there, so close, and it made everything hurt more sharply. Sihtric let out a shaky breath, feeling the first sting of tears pressing at the corners of his eyes, but he held them back, unwilling to let himself break down, even now.
“Why are you here?” he muttered under his breath, as much to himself as to you. His voice was rough, barely hiding the bitterness he felt, not even toward you but toward himself. “What good can come from this?”
He sat there, torn between the urge to stand up, unlock the door, and reach for you, and the dark, cynical voice in his mind that told him to stay hidden, that he didn’t deserve whatever you were here to offer.
And yet, through it all, he couldn’t help but listen, couldn’t ignore the hope in your words, the softness in your tone. He could almost feel you on the other side, feel the warmth you brought, a warmth he hadn’t felt in years.
But that hope was terrifying. Because if he opened the door, if he let you in… The very idea of you seeing him like this—broken, regret-filled and barely holding it together—filled him with shame. He didn’t know if he was strong enough to do that. He probably wasn’t.
Silence hung in the air, thick and suffocating. Sihtric’s breathing grew uneven, and for a moment, you wondered if he’d even heard you. Then, his voice cut through the quiet, rough and worn, tinged with a bitterness that struck you like a physical blow.
“I don’t need your sympathy,” he muttered, the words laced with frustration. “I don’t need anything from you. Just leave me alone—I don’t want you to see me like this.”
“Sihtric,” you called softly, pressing your hand flat against the door. “Please… just open the door.”
When he didn’t respond, you clenched your fists and banged against the door, louder this time, not caring who heard. “Sihtric, I’m not going anywhere! You don’t have to shut me out. I know… I know what you did for me. I know why you left.”
There was a pause, so deep and tense you could hear the faint sounds from the street outside, muffled and distant. Finally, his voice broke the silence, barely audible, fragile. “Who told you that?”
You took a steadying breath, hoping he could hear the sincerity in your tone. “Finan and Osferth,” you replied. “They told me everything. How you thought leaving was best for me, how you made it look like you’d moved on just so I wouldn’t come back… how you suffered through it all because you thought it was the right thing.”
There was another pause, and then he laughed, a hollow, defeated sound that twisted painfully in your chest. “So, what?” he said, his voice wavering, barely holding steady. “You came here to pity me? To see what a mess I’ve made of myself?” He sounded tired, as if the words themselves were an effort. “I don’t need your pity either.”
For a moment, all you could hear was his unsteady breathing. You imagined him, standing just on the other side, close enough to touch if only he’d open the door. It was driving you mad—having him so close but so far away at the same time. You silently cursed yourself for turning him down, for refusing to listen when he had tried to talk to you before. Why had you been so cold? Why had you let fear take over?
But it wasn’t just your fear that had brought you to this moment. Gisela. The thought struck like a dagger, bitter and sharp. Why had she meddled? Why had she pushed Sihtric into making that choice without ever telling you? All those times she’d been there, comforting you, assuring you that moving on was the right thing to do—she had known. She had known the truth and had kept it from you. Why, Gisela? you thought bitterly, your hands balling into fists against the door. Why did you do this to me? To us?
You closed your eyes, pressing your forehead against the door, the whirlwind of emotions inside you felt unbearable, but amidst the chaos, a single thought began to crystallize with startling clarity. I’m not letting this go. Not this time. You had spent too long blaming others for what had happened—Sihtric, the universe, now Gisela. Too long nursing your pain, placing it on a pedestal like some kind of shield to justify not moving forward, not letting yourself feel again. But you couldn’t hide from the truth anymore. This wasn’t just pain or regret—this was love. It had never stopped being love, and it was time you faced it.
You straightened slightly, you weren’t going to let the past define what was left of your future. This was your chance, and you weren’t going to let fear or pride hold you back any longer. Sihtric deserved the truth, and so did you. He needed to hear it, to know that you still loved him—not the sanitized, half-forgotten version of love you’d pretended to bury, but the real thing. The kind of love that ached, that fought, that refused to let go.
And he needed to know the part you’d played in letting it all fall apart. The anger you’d clung to, the walls you’d built to protect yourself, all of it had driven you away from him when you should have stayed and fought, and you needed to own that.
“I’m not giving up on this,” you whispered, more to yourself than to him, though you hoped he could feel the determination in your voice. “Not this time, not again.”
You took a deep breath, feeling the door as your only support as you leaned against it. “Sihtric,” you began, your voice trembling, but there was no hesitation in your words. “Please, just listen to me. Don’t make the same mistake I did. Please, I’m begging you just hear me out. I’m here because… because I never stopped loving you.”
You could feel his breathing hitch on the other side, but he didn’t say anything, and you went on, needing him to hear everything.
“I wanted to hate you,” you confessed, your voice breaking slightly. “I tried. I thought that if I could just hate you, it would be easier. But I couldn’t. I couldn’t hate you, not really. Even when I tried to move on, to make a life without you… I couldn’t let go of you. No one else could replace what you mean to me.”
On the other side of the door, Sihtric let out a ragged breath, his hands covering his face.
The weight of your own words took their toll, and slowly, your legs gave way. You slid down to the ground, sitting with your back pressed against the door, your head resting against the wood as you stared at the empty hallway in front of you.
“When you wanted to talk to me that day at the shoot… I was so cold because I was scared, Sihtric,” you whispered, the confession falling from your lips before you could stop it. “I was afraid that if I let you in, even a little, I’d break. That all the walls I put up to protect myself would come crashing down.”
Sihtric listened, his face buried in his hands, feeling every word you spoke burning holes in his soul. He wanted to reach for you, to say something, but something kept him still, the knowledge of everything he’d put both of you through holding him back. His breath was shaky, his heart pounding as he imagined you there, only inches away.
“I tried to move on, Sihtric,” you continued. “I tried to make a life without you. I even tried to love someone else, to find what I had with you with someone new. But it didn’t work. No one… no one ever felt like you.”
Sihtric’s hands dropped from his face, and he pressed his palms flat against the door, his fingers splaying out as if they could reach you through the barrier between you as he felt his resolve breaking, his walls crumbling bit by bit.
“I thought letting you go was the best thing I could do for you,” he murmured. “I thought that if I hurt you enough, you’d decide to leave me behind… and you’d never look back. I wanted you to be successful and happy, even if it meant I couldn’t be.”
A tear slipped down your cheek as you listened, your heart breaking all over again. “Don’t you see?” you said, your voice barely a whisper. “I was never happy without you. I kept telling myself that I could be, but deep down, I knew… I knew I’d never feel whole again.”
For a moment, the two of you sat there, separated by inches of wood and miles of unspoken feelings, both of you held captive by the same painful memories and buried longing.
“You don’t understand…” he continued, his voice breaking. “I’m not who I used to be. I’m not… I’m not enough for you, you need someone better. I don’t even know who I am anymore. You should be out there, living that life you’ve created and earned, not here… with someone like me.”
You swallowed hard, tears pooling in your eyes but refusing to fall. “I don’t need someone better, Sihtric. I need you,” you said, your voice trembling but resolute. “The real you, flaws and all. I can’t pretend anymore that everything’s fine without you in my life. I don’t care about perfect, Sihtric. I just… I just want you.”
The silence behind the door was deafening, stretching longer than you could bear. Your chest tightened, every second dragging on like an eternity. You strained to hear anything—a shuffle, a breath, even the slightest indication that he was still there—but there was nothing. The hollow quiet seeped into your heart, threatening to shatter it into a thousand pieces again.
Was this really the end? The thought weighed heavy, pressing against you until you couldn’t sit upright any longer. Slowly, you laid your head down on your knees, clutching them tightly as if to hold yourself together. You felt the sting of finality creeping in, the cruel certainty that you had done everything you could. It was time to stand up, to walk away, and this time, not look back.
But just as you started to gather the strength to rise, a faint, almost imperceptible sound reached your ears. A click. Your breath hitched as the unmistakable sound of the lock turning echoed softly through the silence.
You turned your head at the sound of the door creaking open, and there he was. Sihtric stood in the doorway. He looked exhausted, dark rings encircling his beautiful large eyes, face shadowed and tired. His hair was disheveled, and his shirt was rumpled, hanging loosely on his frame, but you didn’t care. All you could see was him, standing there, finally letting you in.
You jumped to your feet, propelled by a wave of relief and emotion, and lunged at him before you could think twice. The sudden movement caught him off guard, and the two of you stumbled backward into the apartment, the door swinging shut behind you. Your arms wrapped tightly around him, holding on as though he might disappear again if you let go. Tears streamed down your cheeks, soaking into his rumpled shirt as you buried your face against his broad, muscular chest.
For a moment, he stood frozen, his hands hovering uncertainly by his sides. Then, slowly, hesitantly, his arms came around you, pulling you closer. He let out a shuddering breath, the tension in his body giving way as he held you tightly, like he was afraid this was just another fleeting dream.
“I’m sorry,” you whispered, your voice muffled against him, trembling with emotion. “I’m so, so sorry, Sihtric. For shutting you out. For not fighting harder. For letting my anger win.”
His chest rose and fell beneath you as he struggled to steady his breathing. His voice was rough, as he finally spoke. “You have nothing to be sorry for. It was me… all of it. I pushed you away. I thought it was the only way.”
You pulled back slightly, just enough to look up at him, your hands gripping the fabric of his shirt.
“I should’ve fought for us,” you said, your voice breaking. “I should’ve seen through it, through what you were doing. But I didn’t.”
His hand came up to cup your face, his touch tentative, almost disbelieving. “You couldn’t have known,” he said softly, his thumb brushing over your cheek. “I made sure of that. I wanted you to move on, to be happy.”
“I wasn’t happy,” you said, shaking your head. “I could never be happy without you.”
He closed his eyes, his forehead resting against yours as a tear slid down his cheek. “I don’t know if I can fix this. If I can fix me.”
You reached up, your fingers tracing the stubble along his jaw as you steadied your voice. “You don’t have to fix anything. We’ll figure it out together. Just, please, don’t push me away again.”
For a long moment, he didn’t say anything. He just held you, his hands trembling slightly as they clung to you. Then, he leaned in and his lips brushed yours in a soft, lingering kiss that carried the weight of everything he couldn’t say.
Sihtric's lips trembled against yours, as you pressed into him, your hands clutching harder the fabric of his shirt, silently telling him that you were here, that this was real. You kissed him back pouring all your emotions into that one single gentle touch of lips, getting more heated and desperate with each passing moment.
When he pulled back just enough to catch his breath, he began to press a trail of kisses across your cheeks, your forehead, the bridge of your nose.
“I love you,” he murmured between kisses, his voice rough and low. “I’ve always loved you. Even when I tried to forget… when I tried to move on, I couldn’t.” His lips found yours again, more insistent this time, as though he couldn’t get enough, couldn’t hold back the flood of emotions he’d kept buried for so long.
“I tried to find someone else,” he admitted, his voice breaking as he pulled back just enough to rest his forehead against yours. His breath was warm and unsteady. “I thought I could replace what we had. But it was never the same. No one could ever be you.” His hands moved to your waist, pulling you closer, his grip firm but gentle. “I don’t want anyone else. I can’t. It’s always been you, and it will always be you.”
Without warning, he scooped you up into his strong arms, holding you effortlessly as though you weighed nothing. You gasped softly, your arms instinctively wrapping around his neck as he looked down at you, his eyes filled with something raw and unrestrained.
“I need you,” he said, his gaze locked on yours. “I need you in every part of my life. And right now… I need to show you how much I love you.”
You smiled through tears, you fingers tangling in his thick, disheveled hair. You pulled him closer and with a low almost desperate growl his lips captured yours again as he carried you further into the apartment.
—-----------------------------------------------------------
The soft hum of voices and the gentle clinking of glasses filled the air as you arrived at the exhibition, a feeling of anticipation settling in your chest. Gisela was waiting for you near the entrance, her ever-poised demeanor slightly off-kilter as she scanned the crowd. When her eyes landed on you, a flicker of something—relief? Concern?—crossed her face, and she hurried over.
“There you are,” she said, taking your hand as though to steady you. Her tone carried an edge of urgency, and you could tell she was gearing up to say something important. “I’m glad you came. But listen, before you go inside, there’s something I need to tell you.”
Her voice lowered conspiratorially as she leaned closer. “Sigtryggr… he’s here. And he brought someone. A girlfriend, apparently.” Her words were careful, but her gaze flickered with unease, clearly gauging your reaction.
You raised an eyebrow, a flicker of amusement rising in you. “That’s fine, Gisela,” you said, squeezing her hand lightly. “Sigtryggr and I… we weren’t meant to be. I’m happy for him.”
She blinked, slightly taken aback by your calm response, but pressed on. “Well, I thought you should know. But I also have someone I want you to meet.” Her voice brightened slightly, as though trying to distract you from the potential awkwardness waiting inside.
You tilted your head, an affectionate smile creeping onto your face. “Actually, Gisela, I have someone I want you to meet first.”
Before Gisela could respond, Sihtric stepped forward from behind you. He wasn’t dressed to blend into the crowd of sharply tailored suits and polished shoes that filled the gallery, yet somehow, he looked effortlessly striking.
A dark, fitted leather jacket hung perfectly over his broad shoulders, paired with a simple, black t-shirt that clung to his lean, muscular frame. Fitted jeans and scuffed boots completed the look, adding a touch of ruggedness that made him stand out in all the right ways.
His dark hair was neatly tied back, but a few rogue strands fell across his sharp cheekbones, softening the intensity of his piercing eyes. He looked effortlessly cool, the kind of man who drew attention without even trying, and the subtle smirk on his lips only added to the effect.
Sihtric slipped his hand into yours, your fingers intertwining, and the look on Gisela’s face was priceless. She was frozen, her gaze locking on him as if she couldn’t believe what she was seeing. Her usual poise faltered, and for the first time, she seemed genuinely at a loss for words. Her eyes flicked between you and Sihtric, wide with shock, her mouth opening and closing slightly as though searching for something—anything—to say.
“Sihtric,” you said warmly, your voice filled with affection as you glanced up at him. He responded by slipping his arm around your waist, his hand resting at the small of your back.
Gisela finally found her voice, though it was a touch higher-pitched than usual. “I… didn’t realize…” she stammered, her gaze darting to you as if silently questioning how, when, and why this had happened.
You cut her off with a gentle but firm nudge to the side, brushing past her with a smile. “Gisela, we’ll catch up later. Right now, there are a few people we’d like to say hello to.”
Sihtric’s arms wrapped securely around you as you walked into the exhibition together, his warmth grounding you. You caught sight of Sigtryggr and Stiorra in the center of the gallery, standing close, their heads tilted toward each other as they shared a quiet laugh. Whatever lingering awkwardness might have existed between you and Sigtryggr seemed to dissolve as you approached, Sihtric at your side.
“Sigtryggr,” you greeted warmly, your smile genuine. “It’s good to see you.”
Sigtryggr turned, his expression flickering with brief surprise before softening into a polite smile. “And you,” he replied, his gaze briefly darting to Sihtric before settling back on you. “I see you’ve… moved on as well.”
“Seems like we’ve both found where we’re meant to be,” you replied, your tone light, though the weight of those words resonated deeply within you.
Stiorra raised her glass with a mischievous grin. “Well, well. Isn’t this a picture-perfect reunion?” she quipped, her tone teasing but kind.
Sihtric’s arm tightened around your waist as he leaned down, pressing a gentle kiss to your temple. “A reunion, maybe,” he murmured just for you, his voice warm and low. “But what matters is where we go from here.”
And as you stood there, surrounded by art, by people who had once been tangled in your past, you couldn’t help but smile as for the first time in a long while, the future felt beautifully, wonderfully yours.

You fake your own death and hide because someone is after you and you want to keep abby and lev safe, but abby doesn't believe you're gone and she finds you. Can you write about the moment she finds 6ou and confronts you and you guys reunite?

"You're As Beautiful As The Day I Lost You" - Abby Anderson x Reader
You were told that you’d never be found.
You knew this meant giving up Abby and Lev, but it was to keep them safe, and you would rather them to be safe then cost their lives by being selfish.
It’s been a quiet life in this isolated place, those monsters couldn’t find you, that group of rouges couldn’t find you. You had learned to live with it, and have done so for five years now.
That doesn’t mean you ever let your guard down, so when you were washing dishes in the sink and heard a creak in the floorboards behind you, you wasted no time pulling the hidden gun from under the counter and quickly aiming at the intruder.
But this wasn’t an intruder…this was the one person you would never even dare to harm.
Abby…
You take in a shaky breath as you slowly lower the gun, staring at her as she does the same with her own.
“Abby” you say while examining her, already reciting the apology you have wanted to say for years but thought you’d never get the chance to.
“I know I left you alone, and I’m so sorry, I had to keep you and Lev safe.” your words don’t come out as confident as you want them to under the blonde’s unwavering stare, “I didn’t have a choice with those rouges coming after me and I knew if they ever found me then I would loose both of you and I wasn’t going to let that happen”
You didn’t realize that you were crying until you felt a tear roll down your cheek, you look at Abby as she still says nothing and simply looks at you.
“Abby…say something, anything, shout and scream at me, just say something” you start to plead as you watch her walk forward and you back up until you are pressed against the counter with her slightly looming over you.
She stays quiet and brings a hand to your cheek, “You’re as beautiful as the day I lost you” Abby says and you finally notice the tears in the corners of her eyes.
It finally hits you that she’s standing right there, you can feel her touch again, and it hits you hard enough that you crumple into her arms.
Abby sinks to the ground with you in her arms, holding you as tight as she can while you grip onto fistfuls of her shirt to ground yourself.
“Please don’t let me go” you say through sobs as every emotion you have stored away these last few years finally break like a dam.
“Never…never again” Abby murmurs into your hair as the two of you finally hold each other once again.
an - sorry if this is short! writers block has been kicking my ass and school is a whole other monster, hoping to get back into routine soon!

hi! your angst is so so good! could you please write something angsty around the Selena Gomez song “Lose You to Love Me” kind of about a girl learning to love herself after a toxic love with Harry and then them reuniting after growing up years later, please?
Lose You to Love Me
read my other work here
pairing: Harry Styles x plus size reader
word count: 4.2k
summary: a run-in with your childhood sweetheart brings up old memories, and lingering feelings.
a/n: my friend, you have no idea what you've done sending this ask in. technically you do, because I posted about it after i received it. but this song popped into my head a little over a week ago, and has been running up there on repeat. it's been making me think about my life and relationships, and being all reflective or whatever. i hate it. 😂
I have been thinking about this story pretty much non-stop since you sent the ask, and was so exited to finally get it written. i hope it's what you were looking for, and that you enjoy reading it as much as i enjoyed writing it.
also, a note about the story, the italicized parts are flashbacks.
i know we’re on all on edge after last night, so why not throw some angst in there to make it worse!

As you moved through the streets of London, you were so focused on making it to your destination that you weren’t paying attention to the faces passing you by.
But he was, and he recognized yours immediately.
“Y/N?”
You froze in place, causing the person walking behind you to crash into you. You apologized and stepped off to the side, looking in the direction of the voice. “Harry,” you breathed out.
Before you could fully process what was happening, Harry had rushed up to you, pulling you into his arms. You closed your eyes, even after all this time he still gave the best hugs. Your mind flashed with memories of all the times you found yourself in his arms. Good and bad.
“I can’t believe it’s you!” He spoke against your neck before pulling back, taking your hands in his as he looked you up and down. “You look amazing. All grown up.”
“Yeah, you too.” You took him in, he had definitely filled out since the last time you saw him. Of course you knew that, no matter how hard you tried to get away from him, you never could get that clean break you so desired. That’s what happens when your ex is one of the biggest stars in the world.
“Gosh, it’s been ages.” He muses.
You purse your lips and nod. “Eleven years.” You feel a knot in your stomach, thinking back to the last time you two spoke.
“Harry, it’s just not fair to me.” You move the speaker away from your mouth, hoping he doesn’t hear your breath hitch.
“And you think you’re being fair to me? This is my dream, Y/N, and I can’t even enjoy it because I’ve got you making me feel bad, or like I’m doing something wrong every time I talk to you!”
“Yeah, well you were my dream.” Your voice is quiet, defeated. “But I guess it’s time for me to wake up.”
Harry is silent on the other end of the phone for a moment. “What,” he lets out a deep breath. “What’s that supposed to mean?”
You wipe your eyes, sniffling softly. “It means I can’t do this anymore. You’re living your life, you’re finding your way in the world. I need to go off and do the same. Alone.”
Harry gives you a sad smile. “I tried to reach out a few times, I didn’t like how we left things.”
“I know, me either.” You agreed. “But I needed to just sever the tie. It would have been too hard otherwise.”
“I’m sorry,” you look at him curiously. “For how I handled things, for how it ended…”
You held your hand up to stop him. “We were just kids, you were eighteen and an international pop star, you handled things as best you could.”
He smiled gratefully at you. “Do you, uh… do you have some time? Maybe we could grab a coffee and catch up?”
Your mind is begging you to say no, but your mouth doesn’t listen, agreeing immediately. “But I’ll pass on the coffee.’
“Still?” He smirks, remembering how much you hated coffee. “Some things never change.”
****
The two of you order drinks, and get settled at a quiet corner table in a small coffee shop, the conversation starts off simple enough, you catch each other up on your families, you tell him about your career, and how you had relocated to London three years ago for a big promotion. He shares a couple of stories of some of his more memorable moments over the years.
Even after a decade apart, you still managed to fall into conversation with ease. From the moment you had met when you were kids, there was this instant comfort between the two of you. It was no surprise to anyone when you started dating at fifteen. You were inseparable, going everywhere together. You were there at his XFactor audition, you supported him every step of the way. It was when things really started taking off for him that everything changed.
“Hi angel,” Harry’s voice was low and raspy, that’s when you realized you forgot to take the time change into consideration before you called.
“Oh my gosh H, I’m so sorry. I didn’t mean to wake you up, I–”
You’re cut off by his laughter. “It’s alright, I like when you wake me up. To what do I owe the pleasure?”
“Mum is taking me dress shopping for formal today, I just wanted to see if you had any ideas what you’d be wearing. We could coordinate!” There was a long silence as you waited for him to respond. “Harry?” You asked. Maybe he had fallen back to sleep.
“Yeah, I’m here. Sorry.” You could hear him shifting on the other end of the phone. “I have some bad news actually.” He sighed before continuing. “They booked us a bunch of shows in the US, I’m not going to be able to come home for the dance.”
“Oh,” you did your best to mask the disappointment. It was just a dance, Harry was doing amazing things, and you needed to be supportive of that.
“Angel, I’m so sorry, I really tried…”
“No, don’t worry. It’s fine, really.” You assured him while also trying to assure yourself.
You heard a knocking on the other side of the phone, and muffled voices. “Fuck, I’ve gotta go Y/N. I’m so sorry, I love you. You know that, right?”
“Yeah, I know H. I love you too.”
“Okay, we’ll talk soon. I promise.” The call disconnects before you can respond.
That was the beginning of the end for your young love. You had put on a happy face for everyone, especially Harry, but your family and friends were able to see right through it. He probably would have too had he actually been there.
You ended up going to your formal with your friends, but as they danced and laughed, you sat on the sidelines, staring at your phone waiting for a call or a text from Harry. And that’s what your life became from there on.
When Harry would come home, things would be better, but still not what it was. Because he’d be gone for such long stretches, his time was spread so thin when he was home. He would want to spend time with everyone, which didn’t leave enough time for the two of you. You would tag along as much as you could, but your one on one time was lacking. It got to a point where you couldn’t even go out on dates, constantly being bombarded by people asking for pictures or autographs.
That’s when you decided to spend your time behind closed doors. Harry said it was so he could focus on you, but part of you wondered if it was so that he could keep you secret. You knew that there were girls all over the world that wanted to be with him, his team knew that was part of the marketability of him, of the whole group. The second the two of you stopped hanging out publicly, the insecurities started creeping in. From then on, every time you saw a picture of him with another girl, you wondered who she was, why it was okay for him to be seen with her and not you.
As the two of you continued to talk, you glanced down at your watch. “Oh shit,” you interrupt him. “I’m so sorry Harry, I actually have to go. I have a meeting I need to get to.” You stand from your seat and collect your things. Harry stands with you.
“Yeah, of course.” You could have sworn there was a hint of disappointment in his tone. “Hey, you should come to the show tonight. If you’re free I mean.”
You look up at him with wide eyes. “Are you sure?”
“Of course, it’s Wembley. How many times did we talk about this?”
“A lot,” you smile wistfully, remembering those conversations. Whenever he was feeling discouraged about his journey, you would always be right there to pick him up, assuring him it was going to work out. That he’d be onstage at the famed stadium, and you’d be right there cheering him on.
“It would mean a lot to me to have you there. Full circle and all that.” He said with a smile. “Besides, the whole family is going to be there. I’m sure mum and Gem would love to see you.”
It would be nice to see his family again. You had been all but officially adopted into the clan, spending holidays, dinners, birthdays with them. You were at Harry’s house just as much as you were at your own, possibly more. Sure, you had mourned the loss of your relationship with Harry, but it also broke you that you lost that second family.
“Yeah, sure. I’ll be there.” You agree.
“Amazing.” He pulled you in for a tight hug. “I’ll see you tonight. Just check in at the box office when you get there, I’ll take care of everything.”
****
You made it to your meeting on time, but you were anything but present. Your mind kept going back to Harry, how great he looked, how happy he was to see you. And then the memories started flooding back.
“Y/N?” Your mother’s voice and gentle knock on the door call your attention away from your phone.
“Yeah?”
She sticks her head into your room. “We’re leaving in five minutes, are you ready?”
“Ready?” You suddenly remember that your parents were supposed to be taking you and your sister out to dinner. “Oh, I uh… no. I think I’m going to pass if that’s okay?”
“But honey, we’re going to your favorite restaurant.” You could see the concern spread across her face.
“I know, but Harry is supposed to call and check in. We haven’t had a proper phone date in weeks. I want to make sure I don’t miss him.”
“Y/N…” your mother says in a warning tone. After Harry missed out on formal, you had completely changed. You’d go to school, and then immediately come home waiting to hear from him. You would drop everything the second his name popped up on your phone screen.
“Mum, next time. I promise.”
Your mother lets out a sigh and nods, leaving you alone.
About an hour later, your phone pinged with a text from Harry.
Sorry love, can’t call tonight. Talk to you soon, promise. XO
****
After your meeting, you slipped out of the office. You knew you weren’t going to get anything done today. Besides, you needed to find something to wear tonight. You called Heather, your oldest and closest friends, asking her to meet you at one of your favorite shops.
You told her about your run-in with Harry, and his invitation to go to his show.
“You said no, right?”
“Yeah, I said no. That’s why we’re here, you’re helping me pick an outfit for a concert I’m not going to.” you rolled your eyes.
“Y/N, I say this as your friend, this is a terrible idea and you definitely shouldn’t go.” She says completely seriously. “Do you even remember what life was like for you back then?”
“Come on!” Heather grabbed your arm, trying to pull you out of the booth. “Come dance with us!”
You pull out of her grip, checking your phone for a notification. “I can’t H-”
“Harry’s going to call,” she finishes your sentence. “Y/N, you’re both my friends, but you’re my best friend, so I’m going to be real with you. Harry’s a wakner.”
“Hey,” you reply defensively. “He is not, he’s just really busy. He’s kind of a big deal, you know?”
“I do know. And I also know that while you’re sitting here staring at your phone, you’re missing out on life. But he’s out there living it. You deserve better than that.”
“Right, and in a couple of months I’ll be living that life with him.”
Heather’s brow furrowed in confusion. “What do you mean?”
“I’m not going to university.” You state plainly, her eyes go wide in shock. “Harry is going to get me a job on his team. It won’t be glamorous, and it probably won’t pay much, but we’ll be together and everything will be good again.”
“Have you told your parents about this plan?”
“I have, they aren’t happy about it, but I’m eighteen, so there isn’t really anything they can do about it.”
“And you really think this is the best idea?” She asks you.
“Yes,” you say, a little louder than intended but you needed to get your point across. “Harry and I are supposed to be together, and if this is how it needs to happen, this is how it’s going to happen.” You grab your purse and stand from your seat. “I’m going home, it’s too loud here for me to hear him anyway.”
After that, you stopped going out when your friends invited you. They didn’t understand your relationship, and they were always on your case about it. It was easier to just stay home and wait for Harry. Eventually, the invitations stopped coming. You were fine with that. It made it easier for you to focus on Harry, and be there when he had time for you.
As far as the job, that never happened. About a week after you graduated, you received a call from Harry. He told you that he fought for you, all the guys did, but his team said they weren’t able to make a spot for you.
You were devastated, but you did your best to hide it from him. That didn’t last very long, however, as that was the point where the cracks in your facade of ‘supportive girlfriend’ started coming through. You started seeing what everyone had been telling you, that Harry was out there conquering the world while you were putting your life on hold, spending your life by the phone waiting for a quick text or five minute phone call.
****
When you arrived at Wembley, you gave your name at the window and were immediately ushered to a backstage VIP area. You walked in and smiled to yourself at the turnout. You recognized almost everyone in the room. You stayed by the door, not wanting to interrupt when Gemma’s eyes traveled in your direction, She did a double take before smiling wide and running to you.
“Y/N, I can’t believe it!” She pulled you into a tight hug, which you quickly returned. “Harry told us he ran into you, and invited you to the show. But I wasn’t sure you’d actually come!”
You giggled at her excitement. “Of course I’m here, I told him I’d come.”
“I know, but you’re so nice, I figured you’d say that to his face and then just disappear.” You both laughed, before she took you by the hand, leading you into the group. “Come on, we have so much to catch up on!”
You went around the room, greeting those you had known a decade ago, and meeting the new members of Harry’s entourage. Everyone was so happy to see you, you were being pulled in a million different directions trying to catch up with everyone. They had told you that Harry was with them earlier, but had to leave to get ready. You were grateful for that. It would have been too much to be there with him, and his family.
**** When it was time to go out to the front of house, Gemma locked her arm in yours and you walked together. She stayed by your side the whole night. The two of you were always close, she had always treated you like you were sisters. Often joking that someday Harry would make it official. She made you promise not to leave without giving her your number, she said she wasn’t about to let another ten years go by without seeing you again.
The show was incredible. Harry was incredible. As you watched him up there, you felt your chest swell with pride. Despite what had transpired between the two of you, you couldn’t help but get emotional watching him live the dream that the two of you had spent so much time talking about. He had done it, but on a level that neither of you could have even imagined.
As you listened on, your mind wandered, thinking about the girls those songs were about. The girls that had come after you. You felt tears begin to pool in your eyes as you remembered the first one.
“Come on guys, put it away. Y/N is going to be here any minute.” You heard Heather plead. “This is her first time out since the breakup, she doesn’t need to see it.”
After the phone call where you ended your relationship, you were inconsolable. You cried nonstop, mourning your relationship, the future you were supposed to have, and all the time you wasted waiting for him. Your friends would come over often, but they would mostly just hold you and offer words of encouragement to you as you cried. Nobody was able to get through to you, they weren’t even sure how.
About two months after the breakup, you got this surge of determination. Harry had taken away enough of your life, you weren’t going to let him do it anymore. You texted Heather, and she agreed to gather all your friends for dinner.
You walked in and saw her trying to pull the phone out of her boyfriend’s hands. “What don’t I need to see?” You ask, everyone’s attention snapping to you.
“Nothing, don’t worry about it.” Heather assured you.
You nodded, leaning in to hug your friend, quickly diverting and grabbing the phone out of her hand. You looked down at the screen and saw a paparazzi shot of Harry walking hand in hand with Taylor Swift, it was an article about the budding relationship between the two singers.
“Oh,” you said, dropping the phone on the table. “I uh… I just remembered I’ve got to…” your brain was too cloudy to come up with an excuse, not that they would believe it anyway. You turned and rushed out of the restaurant. Heather hot on your heels.
“Y/N, wait!” She followed you as you ducked into a nearby alleyway, getting to you just in time to watch your back slide down the wall.
You wrapped your arms around your knees and began sobbing uncontrollably. Heather sat down next to you, wrapping her arm around your shoulder and pulling you into her.
“I… he… I…” You couldn’t form words, too upset to do anything but cry.
“I know babe, I know.” Heather said in a soft tone, rubbing your back comfortably. “I told you he was a wanker.”
You chuckled lightly, your breathing starting to return to normal. You looked up at your friend with tear stained cheeks, your breath hitching as you regained composure. “We just broke up. I’ve been locked in my room crying, and he’s been with her.”
“He’s a piece of shit. He doesn’t deserve you. You’re so much better than all of this.” She held your face in her hands and gave you a determined look. “You’re a fucking catch Y/N, he’s an idiot for not seeing that.” You nod, pretending you agree with her. “Let’s get you home. We’ll get a bunch of junk food and watch sad movies. Get all the tears out.”
“Hey Y/N, you alright?” Gemma pulls you from your thoughts.
You suddenly realize the house lights are up, and people are filing out of the stadium. “Oh yeah, sorry. It’s just crazy to think that he went from the weird boy with the dumb jokes to that,” you gesture toward the stage.
“Oh, he’s still the weird boy, he’s just telling his dumb jokes to a whole lot more people.” She joked, slinging her arm around your shoulder. “C’mon, let’s go backstage.”
“Oh, no no no, you go. I should…”
“Not a chance,” she interrupted you. “You’ve gotta come back and see him.” You narrow your eyes at her, wondering why it was so important that you see him, but she just smiles innocently and leads you back to the VIP room.
****
You and Gemma get comfortable on a couch in the back corner of the room, so lost in conversation that you don’t even notice when all eyes in the room land on the door, cheering Harry as he enters. He walks through, offering hugs and handshakes, thanking people for coming and graciously receiving compliments on his performance.
Once he’s made his way to the back, he stops, silently observing you and his sister gossiping and giggling just like you always had.
“You’d better not be talking about me, or I’m telling mum.” His voice pulls you from your conversation, and you both turn to look at him.
Gemma grins and jumps from her seat. “You were outstanding.” She pulled him into a hug, saying something to him in a hushed tone.
He smiled gratefully at her as she sat back down, Harry turned to you with a curious expression. “Well? What did you think?”
“H,” his nickname fell so easily from your lips, as if you had never been apart. You stood up, looking at him with so much awe that he was taken aback. “You did it. I’m so,” you sigh with a shrug. “It was incredible.”
He smiled, dimples on full display. “Thank you, angel. You have no idea what that means to me.” He steps in front of you, pulling you into a firm embrace. You were so lost in the moment that it didn’t even register that he had called you by his pet name for you.
Gemma stood behind you, making sure to get Harry’s attention, she winked at him with a smirk before matriculating back into the crowd, allowing you two a moment.
When you finally separated, Harry looked down at you, his gaze so intense that you felt your cheeks heating up. “I should probably go,” you finally speak up.
“No, wait.” He says in a panicked tone. “Can I talk to you alone for a minute?”
You furrow your brow, not expecting that. He’s in a room full of the most important people in his life, and he wants to be alone with you? “Yeah, sure.”
He leads you out of the VIP area and down the hall to his dressing room. He opens the door, signaling for you to enter. He follows behind you, closing the door once you both cross the threshold.
You both stand there awkwardly for a few moments before Harry finally breaks the silence. “I’m really glad you came tonight.”
“Me too, thank you for inviting me.” You smile, trying to hide your nerves.
“I, uh…” he takes a breath, running his hand through his hair. “I miss you.”
You look up at him in confusion. “Harry, it’s been eleven years.”
“And I’ve missed you the entire time.” He took a couple of cautious steps towards you. “I was so stupid back then, so stupid. I know I wasn’t fair to you.”
“I told you, it’s fine, you were a kid. You did the best you could.” You assured him.
“I think running into you today was fate.” He ignores your words and keeps going. “We’ve both grown up, I’ve grown up. I see what’s important in life now.”
“Harry…”
“There were so many times I wanted to call you. So many things that happened that I wanted to celebrate with you, but I couldn’t. Every sold out show, every award, all of it, you were the first person I wanted to tell.”
You were speechless. You were listening to his words, watching the vulnerability in his face, all of it completely overwhelming you. Out of everything that could have come from your run in with Harry, this was probably the last thing you would have expected.
“I don’t… what?” Was all you managed to choke out.
“Listen, I’m not saying we jump right back in and pick up where we left off,” your eyes went wide at his words. “I broke your trust, that’s something I need to earn back. But I’d like to try, if you’d let me.”
“Try…”
He reached out, taking your hand and sighing in relief when you didn’t pull away. “I want to show you that I can be what you need, what you deserve.”
“What are you asking?” You ask, searching his face as if it held the answers.
“I just want to be in your life again, be your friend. I want to get to know you now, I want you to get to know me now, and see where things go from there.”
You stood in silence, looking into Harry’s eyes, butterflies filling your stomach at the way he’s looking at you. You nod your head slowly. “Okay,” you respond, barely above a whisper.
“Yeah?” He asks hopefully, you nod with a smile and he wraps his arms around you, pulling you into his chest. “Thank you thank you thank you. I promise I’m not going to mess this up.” You chuckle against his chest. “What’s so funny?”
“Heather is going to kill me.”
A bark of laughter escapes him. “I’ll protect you,” he places a kiss on the top of your head. “I’m not going to lose you again.”

TO ALL THE MEN YOU’VE LOVED BEFORE: PROLOGUE
Tumblr media
ꨄ. SYNOPSIS: the launching of a new platform magically re-connecting seperated people has shaken the entirety of social media. after many months of contemplation and denial, you give in to your urges.
ꨄ. SENA’S NOTE: this merely serves as a way to introduce all eight parts of the mini-series! as they’re all characters from different fandoms, there clearly won’t be names or any specific action in this! so this is a little short :)
TO ALL THE MEN YOU’VE LOVED BEFORE MASTERLIST
ˏˋ°•*⁀➷ ♡•°`.
everywhere.
it was everywhere you went. following you around like it was your shadow, cornering you at any given possibility.
you knew the drill. once something went viral anywhere, it would stick around for some time and then be forgotten.
that wasn’t the case with this damn live show. not at all. the first time it had been announced on international tv must have been ages ago, like around the beginning of the year. yet, the hype never seemed to die down, with more and more people freaking out online and in real life about how it changed their lives.
you were convinced it was a scam. like come on, who even believed in a fairy tale like that? being reunited with a lost lover, or any kind of lover who it didn’t work out with?
there was a reason it hadn’t worked out. because if there wasn’t, you’d still surely be with that person.
it started with trailers being shown on every channel you zipped through, announcing free slots for their newest season and putting emphasis on their confidentiality. how people had the choice to stay anonymous while spilling their private and embarrassing matters to so-called love experts.
such bullshit.
now, it went way past that. you ended up avoiding watching tv, just to literally be haunted by that cursed show in other ways. through flyers and stickers flying around, through posters hung up on subway stations and even inside of said subways, hell, a couple of days ago, there was even an airship promoting it.
TO ALL THE MEN YOU’VE LOVED BEFORE. a silly name for a concept just as silly as that.
what did you have to do again to apply?
right, as if there was any way of forgetting with how much your coworkers were babbling about it. they made sure to remind you of that every day.
“i’m still thinking if i should just call them the next time and try my luck,” you heard one of many tell another while you were waiting in the line for your lunch. “i really, really want to make up with my ex. they’re my only hope.”
their conversation went on for many more minutes, and you were glad when you finally were next in line to greet the lunch lady with a tired smile. as she filled your tray in a halfhearted manner, your smile quickly faded away upon hearing her talk to a fellow worker behind the counters.
“my son and his teenage love reconciled after he applied there. they are awaiting their first child soon!” the elderly woman gushed while placing a cup of pudding onto your tray, waiting for you to scan your employee id before you shuffled away from the line to plop down on an empty space in the crowded lunch hall.
it was all the same. love, love, love. always those same old problems. getting dumped, being abandoned, or doing the dumping and abandoning.
regret, sadness, frustration, desperation.
you came home that sane evening with thoughts plaguing your mind; with the big question if those were all signs for you to see. if everything you’d been hearing and seeing for these past couple of months were meant to open your eyes, somehow. to get the hint.
making a beeline to your bedroom, your eyes darted to the package placed on your bed. still untouched and waiting to be sent. the pastel pink stamp had been placed on the corner of the box yesterday by you. those fuckers made so much money with their hit show that they distributed stamps, to force them to send more drama their way for them to indulge in.
it was stupid that you had even put in the effort to package what was meant to have been tossed away long ago. it might or might not have been long yet, but why did you keep that?
as a writer, you couldn’t contain yourself. even back then, you had always known you’d end up becoming anything connected to writing, journaling, whatever. it was almost annoying how you used to document all those feelings you couldn’t put into words.
specifically writing letters had always been your passion. writing down your heartbreaks and grief into words and making them come to life on paper.
words you failed to tell him.
the recipients were all written on the envelopes inside the box, some years ago, and some recently, and you didn’t even know if they were still the same addresses.
for some, you knew for sure they weren’t.
even if the cast of TO ALL THE MEN YOU’VE LOVED BEFORE — if they picked you, that is — wouldn’t find their current addresses, you were for sure going to be relieved. those letters had been a significant burden on your heart ever since you had written them.
for the first time in your life, you didn’t feel any kind of satisfaction from writing. these letters existed to be sent. and you were realizing it just now.
they were meant to be read aloud, understood. they had to be read by others for you to be at peace with your unresolved feelings.
the very next morning, you handed the package to the post office, bidding farewell to years of bottled-up and hidden feelings.
it wasn’t until a week later that you received a letter, with the same pink stamp and sender the same you had sent your letters to. you found yourself reading it in front of the door to your apartment:
ˏˋ°•*⁀➷ ♡•°`.
dear contestant,
we thank you for your package and were enthralled to read about your experiences. upon short discussions within our team of experts, we soon decided to choose your case to present in our next live airing, which is going to be this saturday!
the letters have already been sent out to their respective addresses — some of which we had to adjust as there have been changes.
it is up to you if you want to join us for our next airing — it be via call or even by showing up at our studio! we will welcome you in any case and make sure you will reunite with one of your lost loves.
please do not worry, as we will handle all of your data with the utmost care and make sure that none of it is leaked for other purposes.
up until then, stay lovely and trust the process!

I know Rafayel's story branch kind of lost the spotlight with the quad banner announcement, which is a bit sad, because I’m still left with this heavy feeling in my heart, and I just can’t stop thinking about it.
This scene has been living rent-free in my head for 2 days now, and I just feel like I need to let it out.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
it’s giving me major Before Sunset flashback (Richard Linklater’s Before Trilogy).
There’s something so beautifully bittersweet about making a promise in the fleeting intimacy of a single day—believing that connection is strong enough to transcend time and distance. In Before Sunrise, they promise to meet again a year later. But Celine never shows up. When they finally reunite in Before Sunset, there’s the weight of unfulfilled promises, Jesse’s subtle resentment and Celine’s guilt. You can tell Jesse wanted to be mad at her, but the second he sees her, all that hurt melts away. He just wanted to feel her presence again,
and that’s EXACTLY what Rafayel’s line gives me. I have been bracing myself for the moment when MC finally remembered at least just a bit of memory about their promise. I was half-expecting an emotional train wreck, but instead, we got this breathtakingly beautiful resolution:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
That “Because I knew you were waiting for me,” from MC is so powerful. It felt like a form of healing I didn’t even realize I needed. I really hope we get to see more of these kinds of "healing together moments" between MC and Rafayel in the future.
There's something really special about seeing them confront their past, accept the hurt, and choose to move forward together.

After a reunion with your family and lots of hugs and 'I missed you's, you go to JJ's house to check on him because he has no family to go home to when they get back from the island
Send more JJ requests!! The new season is approaching and I’m in a OBX mood
my taglists are here + you can requests here at any time
Tumblr media
While everyone was reuniting with their families, JJ went home by himself. He had long wished to be alone, to be rid of his drunk and abusive dad, but now that his wish had come true, he didn't like it that much. That being said, he would rather be alone than in the bad company of his dad, but it still stung.
There wasn’t much to do in his empty and silent house, so he cracked open a beer and chugged it. Welcome home, JJ, he said to himself.
After two or three beers — more like five or six —, JJ found himself crashing on his bed. It creaked under his weight and the sheets reeked of weed and stale air. He was too drunk to care though, falling asleep only seconds after his head hit his flat pillow.
A few days passed and the beer stash quickly became empty. JJ would have gone and gotten more, needing it to drown his sadness and loneliness, but he didn’t have any money.
He caught his motorcycle in a corner of the backyard and brought it to the work bench. He busied himself for a few hours, fixing the brakes and the ticking noise it’s been doing the last times he used it.
The sun was starting to go down when you parked your car in front of the Maybank house. You received a few stares from the neighbors when driving in the neighborhood, wondering what a fancy car was doing on the Cut, but you ignored them.
You knocked on JJ’s door, but he didn’t answer. His door was not locked though, so you let yourself in. Was this an infraction? Absolutely. But you doubted JJ would call the cops on you.
‘’JJ?’’
Nothing.
You saw a backdoor and went, not without noticing the empty cans and bottles of beer in the kitchen and on the back porch. Some of these had been drunk by him, you just knew it. That’s what JJ does when he’s sad and alone — he drinks.
It didn’t take long to spot him. He was working on his motorcycle, looking a little sweaty. He was so concentrated that he didn’t hear the screen door slamming shut behind you.
‘’How’s the motorcycle going?’’
His head turned when he heard your voice, eyebrows pulling in confusion. ‘’Shouldn’t you be with your family? Hugging and reuniting.’’ He put his wrench on the table, his hands dirty from working on his bike.
‘’You're my family too,’’ you said with a soft smile, needing him to know he wasn't alone although he had no family to welcome him home.
Home. JJ didn’t see the Outer Banks or his house as home. They were an island — his hometown — and a house. Not home. He felt more at home on the stranded island — Poguelandia, as he called it — than he ever did on the Outer Banks. He was thriving on the freedom of the island, catching fishes and swimming all day. A surfboard and some weed would’ve made the island perfect, but good things don't last forever, right?
You took a step forward and reached for his hand, for the silly friendship bracelet he made you when you were younger. ‘’I mean it, JJ.’’
He glanced down at your hands, but didn't hold yours back. ‘’I…I wish the plane had not come and taken us back.’’
Coming back home was really hard on him. Not only was the loneliness heavy on his shoulders, but he was shoved back into this role, in a life he’s always hated, in a house where the bad memories surpass the good ones, and he could do nothing about it. He was doomed to this life as the son of a criminal, as a guy with no future.
‘’My life here fucking suck. The cross — the gold — was my only hope at leaving, but we lost it. Now, I’m stuck here for the rest of my shitty life.’’
‘’What about your surf trip? You’re giving up on your dream?’’
JJ shook his head. That dream was no longer attainable. ‘’No gold, no surf trip.’’
You twined your fingers together. ‘’We could go to California after graduation. There’s waves there.’’
JJ laughed nervously. ‘’We? You can’t even surf.’’ He let go of your hand and sat on the bench by his motorcycle.
‘’So what.’’ You shrugged. ‘’You’ll teach me. Right?’’
You’ll probably fall on your ass and make a fool of yourself, but that’s part of learning.
‘’After California?’’ Although the surf trip was hypothetical, he was curious to know its itinerary.
You thought for a moment, trying to find the
‘’Hawaii...or Spain. I heard there's great waves there.’’
A dreamy hum left his lips, imagining himself riding a wave under the Spanish sun. There was just one little problem. ‘’I don’t have a passport.’’
‘’Let's do it. You and me, a backpack and a board.’’ Your feet carried you to the blond, the sun setting behind you and giving a beautiful tint to his blue eyes. ‘’Wherever the wave takes us.’’

Stranger Things Masterlist
Tumblr media
You stepped out of your car and took a deep breath, trying to steady your nerves. It was always nerve-wracking to see Steve, the father of your daughter, even though you shared custody. You had missed him terribly since your divorce a year ago, but you tried not to let it show.
You were meeting Steve at a local park to drop off your daughter, and as you approached, you saw him standing by the swings. He looked just as handsome as ever, with his thick hair and brown eyes. You couldn't help but feel a pang of longing as you looked at him.
“Hey.” He said, his voice warm and familiar. “How are you doing?”
You smiled weakly. “I’m good. How about you?”
“I’m good.” He replied, his eyes drifting to your daughter as she ran up to him. “Hey, sweetie! How was your weekend with Mom?”
As Steve greeted your daughter, you stepped back and watched them, feeling a sense of bittersweet sadness wash over you. This was the life you had always wanted, but it was slipping through your fingers.
You cleared your throat, getting ready to leave. “Well, I’ll see you both later.” You said, smiling. “I love you, honey.”
Your daughter frowned, hating that you had to leave. “Can’t you stay for a little bit? The three of us haven’t been together in so long.” She whined, causing your heart to clench.
You hesitated, feeling the weight of your daughter's words. As you looked up, you met Steve’s gaze. He seemed to understand your hesitation, and after a few moments of silence, he spoke up. “Yeah, she’s right. It’s been a while since the three of us have spent time together. Why don’t you stick around for a little bit?”
You nodded, feeling grateful for the invitation. “Sure, I can stay for a bit.”
You watched as your daughter ran off to play on the swings, and Steve turned to you. “Are you coming to Robin’s party this weekend?”
You nodded. “Yeah, I’m planning on it. It’ll be good to see everyone.”
Steve shifted on his feet, and you could tell there was something he wanted to say. “Actually, there’s something I wanted to mention. I’ve been seeing someone, and I was thinking about bringing her to the party.”
Your heart sank at his words, and you tried to hide the hurt in your expression. You had no place to feel upset. It had been a year since you split and it had been a year since either of you dated anyone. “Oh, okay. That’s fine. I don’t mind.”
Some time between your exchange, your daughter popped up again. You could feel your daughter’s eyes on you, and you knew you needed to keep it together for her sake. “I should probably go now, but it was good seeing you. Take care.”
You hugged your daughter and gave Steve a brief nod before turning to leave. As you walked away, you couldn't help but feel a sense of sadness wash over you. It was clear that Steve had moved on, but you still weren’t ready to do the same.
You were not ready for this weekend.
You stand in front of the mirror, taking one last look at your reflection. Your hair falls in soft waves around your face, your makeup is impeccable, and your dress hugs your curves in all the right places. You look beautiful, confident, and ready to face the world.
But the world you’re about to face is one that fills you with anxiety and dread. You’re going to Robin's party tonight, and you know that Steve will be there with his new girlfriend. The thought of seeing them together fills you with a sense of unease, but you know that you can't hide away forever.
You take a deep breath and step out of your room, making your way down the stairs and out the door. As you make your way to Robin's house, your mind is filled with thoughts of what you’ll say to Steve, how you'll react when you see him with his new girlfriend, and whether you'll be able to keep your emotions in check.
When you arrive at the party, you take a deep breath and steel yourself for what’s to come. You spot Steve across the room, laughing and chatting with a group of people, and your heart sinks a little. He looks happy, carefree, and completely oblivious to your presence. You also see a pretty girl next to him.
Suddenly, you feel someone wrap their arms around you, squeezing you tight. “You look stunning! Absolutely gorgeous!” Robin exclaimed, taking a good look at you. “You are so hot.”
You giggled, feeling shy. “Look at you! You look beautiful!”
Robin waved a hand. She looked back to where your gaze was a few moments ago, rolling her eyes. “I don’t like her.”
Your furrowed your brows. “What? You just met her.”
She shook her head. “She acted as if I would steal Steve from her when I welcomed them into my house. MY house!”
“What did she do?” You were intrigued to know what Steve’s new girl was like, as you weren’t up to meeting her yourself.
“Okay, so, I opened the door and greeted them like I would normally with all of my guests,” Robin started, guiding you to the kitchen where you saw Nancy and Jonathan. You greeted each other as you listened to Robin’s story. “I hugged Steve first, because, you know, I’m not just going to hug a random stranger!”
“Is she telling you about how much she hates Steve’s new girlfriend?” Nancy teases, causing Jonathan to laugh.
“Apparently,” you giggled.
“I’m just telling you guys how I’ve been mistreated in my own house! Now shush!” The three of you shut up, letting Robin continue. “She kept clinging onto Steve’s arm as if I would steal him away from her or something, like I’m not lesbian or whatever. Not that anyone’s supposed to know but, come on!”
You squint your eyes, waiting for her to get to the part why she hates her so much already. In the meantime, you grabbed some juice as you didn’t drink alcohol.
“I started to welcome her but she gave me this death glare that Steve didn’t apparently notice and I swear, if I could, I would’ve slapped her right then and there. I led them inside my house, showing the girl around, but she barely spoke two words to me, and just dragged Steve by her side the entire time.” Robin huffed. “After I had shown her around, I tried giving her a warm hug but she recoiled and shrugged me off as if I’m some sort of disease!”
Jonathan raised an eyebrow, sipping on his drink before he spoke. “I don’t like her either. Gives me one of those ‘mean girl’ vibes.”
“Thank you! And she’s blonde!” Robin exclaimed.
Nancy tilted her head. “Aren’t you blonde?”
Robin gasped, putting a hand over her heart. “I am a brunette, thank you very much.”
“Huh,” you hummed, sipping on your juice, causing Robin to glare at you.
“Why don’t you meet her, hm? I’m sure it would be lovely to have a chat with your ex-husband’s new girlfriend.” Robin shot, putting a hand on her hips.
You grimaced. “Yeah, I’d rather die. My heart can’t take all that pain.”
Robin sighed. “Guess Steve’s out of our quintet. He’s kicked out until he leaves that blondie.”
Nancy shrugged. “Maybe we should get to know her better. She could be nervous.”
“Has my judgment ever failed you, Nance?” Robin questioned, raising an eyebrow.
Jonathan cleared his throat, catching everyone's attention. “Looks like we’ve got company headed our way.” He said, nodding in the direction of Steve and the woman beside him.
Your heart sank as they drew closer. You took a deep breath and tried to keep your cool, taking a sip of your drink to hide your nerves. Robin looked away, clearly uninterested, while Nancy and Jonathan put on tight-lipped smiles that didn't quite reach their eyes.
As Steve approached, he greeted the group and introduced the woman at his side. “Hey guys, this is Mia.” He said, and all eyes turned to her.
She gave a strained smile, and you couldn't help but think that you weren't the only one feeling uncomfortable. The tension was palpable as you all stood there, unsure of what to say.
After a few excruciatingly awkward moments, you decided to take the lead and introduced yourself, holding out your hand. “Nice to meet you.” You said, trying to be friendly.
Mia reluctantly shook your hand, and her next words caught you off guard. “Oh, you're... her mom.” She said, her tone implying that she knew exactly who you were talking about, but didn't want to say your daughter’s name.
You raised an eyebrow, surprised. “Have we met before?” You asked, looking for an explanation.
Mia raised an eyebrow. “Yeah, your daughter,” she said, her tone insincere. “She talks a lot about you.”
Your eyes shot to Steve who seemed to shift under your gaze. “You’ve met my daughter?”
Steve began to speak to clear any confusion. “Mia came over and met her, that’s all.”
You nodded your head stiffly, but the tension in your body did not disappear. You couldn’t help but feel a strong resentment for the fact that Steve’s girlfriend had met your daughter without you knowing.
Nancy, Jonathan, and Robin stared back and forth between you three. Robin let out a big breath to divert the attention elsewhere. “Well, I hope you’re enjoying the party but the four of us have very important matters that we need to focus on, so…” She gulped down her drink that she got in the midst of the very uncomfortable exchange before setting it back down onto the counter. “Have fun.”
Without another word, Robin dragged you, Nancy, and Jonathan away, and the tension in the air dissipated as she led you to another room. You let out a breath you didn't realize you were holding, feeling a mix of anger and relief. Mia may have been beautiful, but her attitude left much to be desired.
“See what I mean?” Robin threw her hands up. “She met your daughter without Steve even notifying you first! I thought you guys talked about that?”
You sighed, your eyes shifting to the ground. “I thought so too but I guess he didn’t seem to listen.”
Nancy placed a hand on your shoulder, offering you some comfort. “Don’t worry about it. Steve can be clueless sometimes.”
Jonathan nodded in agreement. “Yeah, he probably didn’t think it was a big deal.”
“It is a big deal,” you spoke, looking up to meet their gazes. “She’s my daughter and I should have known if she was meeting someone that Steve is seeing.”
Robin patted your back. “We know, we know. That’s why we’re here for you.”
You smiled gratefully at them, feeling a sense of relief that you had such good friends to lean on. “Thanks, guys. I really appreciate it.”
As the night wore on, you tried to lose yourself in the music and conversation, but it seemed that Steve was always in your peripheral vision. Every time you turned around, there he was, watching you with those brown eyes. Even worse, he seemed to be completely oblivious to Mia’s chatter, his focus solely on you.
You couldn’t help but feel a mix of emotions: anger, confusion, and a little bit of hope. Maybe, just maybe, he was regretting his decision to move on from you. But as much as you longed for him, you knew that he was with Mia now, and that you needed to move on.
Desperate for some space and fresh air, you excused yourself and made your way to the bathroom. Once inside, you leaned against the sink and stared at your reflection. You took a deep breath and splashed some water on your face, trying to shake off the memories and emotions that threatened to overwhelm you. You couldn't keep doing this, torturing yourself with what-ifs and maybes. It was time to accept that Steve had moved on, and you needed to do the same.
Even though your daughter wanted both of you together again, and no matter how much you wished to have him back, Steve didn’t want you. It had been a year and it was time you finally moved on.
As you turned off the faucet, the door creaked open, and Steve appeared in the doorway, his eyes widening in surprise. “Oh, sorry. I didn’t realize anyone was in here.” He said, his voice apologetic.
You gave him some space to enter but he hesitated, not wanting to make you uncomfortable. With a small smile, you reassured him. “No, it’s fine. You can come in.”
He walked in, closing the door behind him and leaned against the sink, taking a deep breath. You began to fix your hair and felt his eyes on you. “I, um, I’m sorry.” He said, breaking the silence. Confused, you turned to look at him. “About Mia. I know we talked about it, but she just came over on her own and then—”
You closed your eyes, feeling a stinging in the back of your eyes. “Don’t worry about it, Steve. I understand.” You said, trying to keep your voice steady. He pursed his lips and nodded his head, but his eyes didn’t stray away. “Mia seems…nice.”
Steve laughed, throwing his head back. “Don’t lie. You hated her. All of you did.”
You couldn’t help but laugh, breaking the tension in the room. “We did! Robin couldn't stand her!” You said, recalling how your friend had voiced her dislike for Mia.
The two of you fell into a pit of laughter, holding onto the edge of the sink. “I can’t believe you’re with her!” You said between giggles.
“Me either, I’ve only been seeing her for a few days but she's been driving me insane! Even our little girl doesn't like her.” Steve exclaimed, clutching his stomach as the laughter between you both started to slow down.
You felt a little better after that, knowing that Steve knew how you all felt about Mia. You finally managed to stop laughing and looked up at Steve, finding his eyes already set on you.
“I think tonight may have been the last straw after I saw the way she treated all of you. I broke things off with her.” He said, his voice soft.
Your eyes widened in shock and your lips parted. “What?”
The two of you had moved closer in the midst of your laughing fit, and you could feel his body close to yours, almost pressing against you. Your eyes locked onto his, and you felt your heart racing. “I didn’t like the way she talked to all of you, especially with you, so...” He trailed off, his hands hovering near yours.
You could feel his breath on your skin, and you felt a flutter in your stomach. “Oh,” you said, your voice barely a whisper. Suddenly, you jerked, pulling away. “Right, um, it’s late, so I think I’m going to head out.”
Steve looked disappointed as you turned around and opened the door. He followed you out, and both of you jumped when you saw Robin standing there, an eyebrow raised in surprise.
“Your babysitter called...” Robin began, her eyes moving between you both as the blood rushed to your cheeks. “The little one fell and hurt herself and now she keeps crying for you both.”
Worry flooded your mind, and you looked at Steve, who mirrored your concern. You thanked Robin and left without saying any goodbyes, your mind solely focused on your daughter.
As you were about to enter your car, Steve grabbed your hand. “Just come with me. It'll save more time.”
You nodded and followed him to his car. As you sat in the passenger seat, another thought popped into your head. “What about Mia?”
Steve shook his head. “She got angry and went off with some dude after I split with her.”
You looked out the window as Steve drove, your mind solely on your daughter. Of course she’s been hurt many times in the past but she has never cried for you both after. She would usually put a bandage on the cut and then shrug it off, going back to her playful self. This was unlike her and you needed to see her as soon as possible.
After you and Steve arrived at his house, you quickly comforted your daughter who was sobbing uncontrollably. She didn’t explain why she was crying. She had only hurt her knee while playing and skinned it but nothing too bad. You were confused as to why she couldn’t stop but soon after, she fell asleep in your arms.
The babysitter explained what had happened, then left after you thanked her. You kissed your sleeping daughter’s forehead, rocking her back and forth. Steve stood in front of you, running a hand through his hair. “Let’s get her to bed.”
You nodded your head and gently stood up, carrying her in your arms. You slowly walked upstairs as Steve went to the kitchen to grab a glass of water. You walked into your daughter’s room in Steve’s house and sat on the bed, lifting the covers to lay her down underneath it.
As you gently tuck your daughter into bed, her eyes flutter open, looking up at you with her tired eyes and asks, “Mom, can I ask you a question?”
You smile, already feeling your heart melt at the sound of her voice. “Of course, honey. What’s on your mind?”
After a moment's hesitation, she asks, “Do you still love Dad?” The question catches you off guard, and you feel your breath catch in your throat. You take a deep breath and look at your daughter, trying to find the right words to explain the complicated feelings you still have for your ex-husband.
“We… we love each other, but things got really hard between us,” you say slowly, careful not to give away too much. “But we're still a family, and we'll always be there for you.”
Your daughter nods thoughtfully, but you can see that she's not satisfied with your answer. “But do you love him like you used to?” She presses.
Your heart aches as memories flood back to you - the good times, the laughter, the love you shared with Steve. You swallow hard and take a deep breath before admitting, “Yes, I do still love him.”
“What does dad mean to you?” Your daughter asked again, pushing you for an answer.
You took a deep breath, trying to steady yourself. “Dad means a lot to me, honey. He’s the father of my child, my best friend, and...” you hesitated for a moment. “He’s the love of my life.”
Your daughter’s eyes widened, taking in your words. “Really?”
You nodded, feeling a lump form in your throat. “Really.”
Unbeknownst to you, Steve had been standing outside the door the entire time, listening to your conversation. As your words wash over him, he feels a rush of emotion - regret, love, and hope all mingled together. He knows he messed up and hurt you, but he also knows that he still loves you and can't imagine living without you.
Your daughter quickly fell asleep after that, a smile evident on her face. Your lips turned up, cradling her small face in your hands. You finally stood up and began to walk out of the room, closing the door behind you, when you noticed Steve standing outside.
Your breath hitched and you desperately hoped he hadn’t heard anything you said. You cleared your throat and crossed your arms against your chest, Steve’s eyes immediately falling onto them. You felt the warmth in your cheeks and quickly uncrossed them. “She’s asleep.”
He nodded his, his eyes stuck on you. You stood there in silence, for what felt like hours, until you finally spoke that you had to leave. “Thanks for driving me here and–”
Realization hit you that your car was still at Robin’s. “Your car is still at Rob’s.” Steve answered for you, reading your mind.
You sighed, chuckling. “Yeah…”
“Just stay here for the night, okay? I’ll drop you off in the morning to pick up your car.” Steve told you, his voice laced with softness.
You were hesitant but agreed, not wanting your daughter to be home alone while Steve dropped you off. “Okay, yeah. I’ll stay.”
Steve grinned, causing you to smile. You two still stood there, staring at each other, not moving an inch. Not until you looked away, trying not to let the warmth in your cheeks take over.
“I’ll take the guest room.” You said softly, beginning to walk away. Before you could take another step, Steve grabbed your wrist, pulling you back.
He put both hands on your arms, making you stand in front of him. Your eyes looked up into his, and you swear you could feel yourself unable to breathe. Steve's gaze was intense and unwavering as he held onto your arms. You felt a shiver run down your spine as you tried to steady your breathing. For a moment, the two of you just stood there, looking at each other in silence. “I didn’t mean to pry but…I couldn’t help but overhear what you just said.”
Your eyes widened in shock and you immediately tried to back away, but his hands on your arms stopped you from moving any further. “Steve, I’m sorry. Can we just forget about that?”
He shook his head and smiled, making your heart skip a beat. “No, I can’t. I can’t just forget what you said when I’ve been feeling the exact same for you for the past year.” He saw the way your face lit up, but the surprise was still written all over your face. He lifted a hand to your cheek, cradling it. “I can’t just forget how you called me the love of your life when you’re the love of my life. I know things got tough for us but our divorce was a mistake. Why do you think it took me a year to finally date someone, but then break it off with them after less than a month?”
You took a deep breath and closed your eyes, feeling his soft hand hold your face. “Steve…” You whispered.
“I will do anything to get you back. It was my fault and we should have done this so much sooner. I was just scared…just afraid that you didn’t feel the same way anymore but when I told you that I was seeing Mia the other day, you looked so hurt, and I’m the reason for that.” He said softly, leaning his forehead against yours. “I have never stopped loving you, okay? I want to fix things. Not just for us, but also for our girl. She deserves to see her parents be happy and in love. I refuse to tiptoe around our feelings any longer. You and I belong together, and we both know that. All of our friends and family know that.”
His confession made your heart swell and nothing could express what you were feeling at this exact moment. You felt so relieved and full of love. You had always dreamed of this moment after your split but never thought it would happen. Until now.
“I love you, Steve,” you whispered, eyes fluttering shut. He brought a hand to your chin, tilting your head up. His lips brushed against yours, and not being able to wait any longer, you crashed your lips onto his.
Steve took in a deep breath as both of his hands cupped the sides of your face, pulling you closer, while your hands went up to wrap behind his neck. As your lips met, you could feel the sparks flying between the two of you. It was like no time had passed since you last kissed. The way his lips moved against yours was familiar and comforting, but at the same time, it felt like a new beginning. You had both grown and changed since your divorce, but the chemistry between you was still undeniable.
You let out a soft moan as Steve deepened the kiss, his tongue gently probing your lips. You parted them, allowing him to explore your mouth as his hands slid down to your waist, pulling you closer to him. His touch was electrifying, and you could feel your body responding to him in a way that it hadn't in a long time.
Steve’s lips moved from your lips to your neck, causing you to gasp at the sensation. His warm breath against your skin sent shivers down your spine, and you couldn't help but lean into his touch. You tilted your head to give him better access, and he took full advantage of it, trailing soft, lingering kisses down the curve of your neck. His lips continued to explore your neck, and you let out a low moan, feeling the heat between the two of you intensify. You were lost in the moment, completely in his embrace, as he left a trail of kisses along your neck, each one sending waves of pleasure through your body.
He pulled away for just a second to look at you, then down to your figure. “This damn dress,” he groaned, his hands lowering down to your bare thighs, just inches away from the hem of your dress. “This dress is making me go feral.”
“Yeah?” You moaned softly, biting your lip. “What does this dress make you want to do?”
He smashed his lips onto yours again, using his arms to pick you up, your legs automatically wrapping around his waist. He began to walk to his room, shutting the door behind him. Your kiss didn’t falter, continuing to move your lips against each other as he gently put you down.
The both of you stood inches from his bed and he began to slowly unzip the back of your dress. “A lot of things, baby. I want to do so many things to you,” he confessed, turning you around so your back pressed against his chest. “But first, I want to take this off of you.”
You let him use his hands to remove your dress. You could feel the throbbing between your legs and all you needed at this moment was Steve. “Stop teasing, Steve,” you said quietly, feeling his lips attach to your neck.
He chuckled, picking his head up to whisper in your ear. “Well, you better stay quiet, baby. Don’t want to wake up the little one, right?”
The next morning, the sun started to peek through Steve’s windows, causing you to wake up. You slowly opened your eyes and felt a pair of arms holding you tight. You turned your head to see Steve next to you, sleeping soundly.
You grinned, feeling content with the world. You raised a hand to gently rub a thumb against his cheek, careful not to wake him up. However, he began to stir in his sleep and his eyes fluttered open, catching your hand in his. “Morning,” he said in his morning voice, something you always found attractive.
“Morning,” you responded softly. He kissed your hand and then let go to bring his hand to your cheek, leaning over to kiss you. He breathed you in, as if he couldn’t believe you were real. He pulled you on top of him, not letting you go as he deepened the kiss. After a few seconds, you pulled away, feeling breathless. You lay your head on his chest, listening to the sound of his heartbeat. “We should probably get up.”
Steve groaned, hugging you tight. “I think we should stay in bed for a few more hours.”
You giggled, pushing your hands against his chest to force yourself off. “And have your daughter pop into your room to see us in bed?”
“She’s going to find out eventually, so I don’t really care.” Steve said, pulling you back against his chest.
You sighed contentedly, snuggling back into his embrace. “I guess you're right,” you said, smiling as you looked up at him. “But let's at least get some breakfast before she wakes up.”
Steve chuckled and pressed a soft kiss to your forehead. “Okay, fine. But I'm not letting you go just yet.” He pulled you close again, his lips finding yours in a slow and tender kiss. His hands roamed over your body, exploring every inch as if he was still trying to convince himself that you were really there with him.
You responded eagerly, your body tingling with desire. As the kiss deepened, Steve rolled you onto your back, hovering over you with a hunger that made your breath catch. He kissed a trail down your neck, his teeth nipping at your sensitive skin as he went. Your fingers tangled in his hair, holding him close as you moaned softly.
For a few moments, the rest of the world faded away and all that mattered was the two of you, tangled up in the sheets and lost in each other's embrace. But eventually, you pulled back, panting for breath. “Steve, we really should get up.” You said, your voice barely above a whisper.
He groaned in frustration but nodded, rolling off of you and pulling you close to his side. “Fine.” He said, pressing a kiss to your temple. “But we're coming back here later.”
After finishing your morning routine, you headed to the kitchen to make breakfast. As you stood at the stove, frying eggs, you felt Steve's arms wrap around your waist, his lips planting soft kisses on your neck. You tried to push him away, but he held you closer, whispering sweet nothings in your ear. “S-Steve.” You said breathlessly. “She’s going to come in here any second.”
He chuckled softly against your skin. “She's been wanting us to get back together, love. Don't worry, she'll be happy to see us like this.”
You rolled your eyes but at the same moment, you heard a small voice behind you. “Mom? Dad?”
The two of you turned around to see your adorable daughter, standing there with her mouth agape. “Hi, honey, did you have a good sleep?” You greeted her, crouching down to give her a big hug.
She walked over to hug you but you and Steve could still see the shock on her face. “Yes, but…” She looked at her dad, Steve giving her a huge grin back as he crouched down next to her.
“What is it, sweetie?” Steve asked her, rubbing her arm.
“I’m confused…” her little voice spoke. “Are you guys back together?”
You and Steve chuckled, looking at each other before looking back at your daughter. “I guess we are.” You told her and you saw her lips turn up into a huge smile.
She started jumping in excitement, clapping her hands. “Yay! It worked! It worked!”
You raised an eyebrow, confused as to what worked. “What worked, honey?”
She looked at both of you and stopped jumping. “My plan to get you both together after your party,” she said, still grinning. “I wanted you two alone together again and it worked!”
Steve arched an eyebrow and lightly pushed your shoulder, causing you to look back at him. He tilted his head, putting an arm around your shoulder. “You’re a smart one, huh? It definitely worked.”
“Does this mean you’ll get married again?” She asked innocently.
You chuckled, kissing her forehead. “We may…”
Steve squeezed your arm, hugging you both. “Yes, we are. I don’t think I’ll be able to live without your mom, sweetie.”
Your daughter let go of you both and started to sing happily, ecstatic that her parents were finally back together again. You leaned your head on Steve’s shoulder, a bright smile on your face as you watched her run around. Steve kissed your forehead, rubbing soothing circles on your arm.
This was all you had wanted. To finally be happy with your perfect family.

Every Destiel Fic I’ve Ever Read [WIP]
Let’s do it! I took this list directly from my twitter
I’m not really going to post my ratings and stuff and I’m not going to copy what I said verbatim because as I grow older my opinions always change and every fic deserves love regardless of what some stranger on the internet thinks! Check these out if you need something new to read :)
Also, side note: A lot of the fics I tend to read are either non-canon or pre S10. If your looking for canon type, recent fics this will not be a list for you and I apologize :(
Also pt. 2: Some of the fics that I have listed on my twitter are no longer available so I have decided to not list them here. It’s very sad because there were some really good ones! Regardless, I’m still trying to keep this list as up to date as I possibly can when it comes to my reading ventures. Either way, I hope you enjoy these fics as much as I do <3
1. NINETY ONE WHISKEY
By komodobits, 401,193 words (not counting other fics in the series)
Please, please, please! Read this if you haven’t yet!! It’s a slow burn, World War II based fic and it’s my absolute favorite fic of all time. In fact I think it may be my favorite story of all time!! I come back to this fic always. If I’m sad, I read it. If I’m happy, I read it. I’ve read it probably 4 or 5 times at this point and it always holds up. I will say though, IT WILL MAKE YOU CRY. Dean and Cas are written VERY well, in fact every character in this fic are written to perfection. You find yourself growing attachments to side characters that you may have even forgotten existed in the show. I seriously cannot recommend this one enough. You will not regret it.
2. A BRIEF GLIMPSE
By cloudyjenn, 12,356 words
I’ll be honest, this one is special for me. This was the very first Destiel fic I ever read back in 2014. That being said, I may be a little biased towards it but I do genuinely think that it’s very cute. It’s a Slice-of-Life esque story with light supernatural happenings; where Castiel is in high school and has a very big crush on his best friend, Sam Winchester. Things start to go awry when Sam invites Cas to a carnival. I won’t spoil too much though! If you want a quick read with some fluff, definitely read this one.
3. SMELLS LIKE ROSES
By unknown :(, 53,828 words
Uhoh! A Djinn fic! I remember this one just hurting me so much. Dean is living his dream life. Everything around him is perfect and he’s mysteriously very happy. When you get to the end of this fic, holy cow the heartbreak. It’s written very well, you obviously can’t go wrong with a fic that slightly follows canon. I really like this one and I might reread it again soon but I cannot stress enough how much it hurts! Stay safe out there.
4. NOT ALL THE WAY THROUGH
By Tracy, around 4,700 words
Shorter fic based around s5 episodes 3 and 4. This one is good but it’s also very painful. I think I like fics that hurt me lol. There are some warnings I want to state! This fic features substance abuse, non con, mentions of torture and A CHARACTER DEATH so please be careful! This is told through Castiel’s perspective and all the summary says is “Castiel’s new life begins and ends with Dean.” So I will leave it at that. (Also as a side note whenever I think of this fic I think of the song ‘And So it Goes’ by Billy Joel. Listen to that while reading and you are sure to shed some tears. Stay safe friends xx)
5. PAINTED ANGELS
By WinnJennster, 105,637 words
This one used to be really popular, so it’s likely many of you have already read it. Either way I will still recommend it. It’s a nice little “reunited” type fic in which Cas is an author and Dean is a painter. I will say, however, that the angst in this fic is HEAVY. Personally, I’m not huge into giant angsty fics like this, or maybe the type of angst portrayed in this one. I just remember feeling a little frustrated by it. YET, this fic has a lot of good memorable moments with some fluff sprinkled throughout. If you love angst, this is the fic for you. WARNING though, you need an AO3 account to read this fic. If you’re not already logged in, you’re out of luck.
6. TWIST AND SHOUT
By Gabriel and standbyme, 97,556 words
Who are we kidding?? Everyone on this website KNOWS this fic. You all could probably recount it backwards, forwards, sideways, upside down. Who knows. All we know is that this fic is a capital S-A-D. When I was in high school, I LOVED this fic. I adored it, no matter how much it made me cry. Because YES there is a MAJOR CHARACTER DEATH. And NO it’s not FUN. Can I be honest? After rereading it, I feel as if Cas and Dean are out of character! Doesn’t mean it’s a bad story, absolutely not. It’s beautiful! I think it’s wonderful and obviously I recommend it. But you could change the names of the boys and you wouldn’t even know its based off two characters from Supernatural. This is my hill and I will gladly die on it. Read it if you dare, but remember to beware OOooOOoooOo (another side note: I had to go to the fic to get the link for this post and I swear to God my eyes watered when I read that first sentence. I HATE and I LOVE this fic all at the same time.)
7. SMOKE IN THE MIRROR
By letters_of_stars, 52,327 words
Oh shoot! Dean is an artist and he needs a nude model!! Who do you think is gonna take the bait?!?! In all seriousness though, I really adore this one. YES Castiel is nude and YES Dean is painting him but if you’re expecting smut right from the get go you are mistaken! I wanna say this is another slow burn?? But it has also been a while since I’ve read it. I just remember liking this one a lot. In my original rating, I gave it a 5/5 so that’s gotta mean something. Another little slice of life with a lot of good moments. Check it out!
8. A HOME BENEATH THE STARS
By CheshireMoon, 71,240 words
Hi, it’s me again. The girl who likes fics that rip her heart to SHREDS. I’m gonna be about as vague as can about this one because boy did that ending catch me off guard when I first read it. So Dean is homeless, right? And Cas is a kind hearted, Good Samaritan, astronomer. When the two meet Dean’s life changes… for the better… I’m gonna leave it at that. You could be ignorant like me and skip over the warnings to this fic and just leave it to good will and faith that this fic will leave you happy and giggly. Or you could do yourself a favor and know what’s coming but not know when it happens. Either way, I still recommend this one. I really like it, just make sure you have a fluff fest fic waiting for you on the other side.
9. THE FACE OF HEAVEN
By orange_crushed, 9,772 words
This one is short and so so sweet. Another type of slice-of-life where Dean is just a gay bartender living his best gay bartending life when he suddenly comes across a fallen star whose name is Castiel. It’s very unique and I love it so much. In my original opinion of this fic I said I didn’t like the formatting? And I think what I meant to say is, I don’t like reading long paragraphs but the formatting to this fic is perfectly fine lol. Still a fun little read and it’s pretty fluffy!
10. SO MUCH TANGLED THREAD
By imogenbynight, 37,428 words
Holy crap! Yes, yes, yes, yes, YES. It’s like, Ninety One Whiskey almost, except there’s time travel, and supernatural happenings, and OH MY GOD I LOVE THIS FIC. It’s ends pretty quick but it’s still so so so good. Please read it, show it some love. I think about this one from time to time and I still smile. Much like with Painted Angels, you need an account to read this one. So make sure you’re logged in! If you don’t have an account you best get that invitation fr.
11. DIAMOND STAR HALO
By had, 4,924 words
Just pure fluff told from Sam Winchester’s perspective. I kind of have a soft spot for fics told from a third party perspective because it’s like they’re seeing Dean and Cas how WE see Dean and Cas and it makes me all giddy, I dunno. This is a good short read and you should definitely read it after reading something really sad and heart wrenching!
12. CINDERWINGS
By bendingsignpost, 181,619 words
STOP!! I love this fic!! It’s a Cinderella type story, there’s a masquerade ball, Dean is a PRINCE. Very fantasy with supernatural elements. It’s WONDERFUL. The way the author writes about the world through Castiel’s perspective is super entertaining and funny and I love the misunderstandings that happen within the story. If you love fantasy and monarchy and magic and parties, this is definitely a fic for you.
13. ONE WHITE LIE
By komodobits, 11.179 words
I can’t lie, komodobits is my favorite fic author and so I am a little biased towards their stories. This one is no exception. It’s hilarious, lighthearted, and fluffy. The range that this author has with their fics amazes and horrifies me. How can one person have that much talent? I have no idea. This is just a komodobits appreciation post, you got me. Anywho, Castiel tells a small lie to the Winchester brothers and they mess with him. Not based in canon, a very slice-of-life fic. I love it, please check it out.
14. FORGET-ME-NOT BLUES
By noangelsinthegarrison, 68,689 words
Ahhh I remember this one. Another slice-of-life, have you noticed a pattern? Sam and Jess are getting married! Woohoo! Of course Dean is in the wedding but so is Castiel, someone Dean has history with……….. Basically there’s misunderstandings and mutual pining and it’s fun. It’s got all sorts of romcom elements with just a dash of angst!
15. MUSCLE MEMORY
By komodobits, 18,961 words
Give me a story that’s loosely based off of 50 First Dates and written by my favorite fic author and suddenly I’m in Heaven. I’m a really big fan of movie AU’s, especially well written and this one is no exception. It’s kind of sad though, but if you’ve seen 50 First Dates then you should expect that. Even if you aren’t a fan of movie AU’s, I would still suggest giving this one a read.
16. KIND OF A FOREVER DEAL
By komodobits, 111,460 words
STOP LOOKING AT ME. YOU THINK IM PUTTING TOO MANY FICS BY THE SAME AUTHOR HERE? WELL YOU LISTEN TO ME PAL, THIS WON’T BE THE LAST ONE EITHER!! Ahem, this fic is awesome and sort of a fan favorite already!! Slice-of-life, teenaged angst, summer camp, LoVe, it’s amazing! The way that the author wrote the friendship between Dean, Cas, Jo, and Victor has me in tears. Very wholesome and heart wrenching, highly recommend!
17. IMPERFECT PROPOSALS
By Fallen_Angel_Meg, 111,082 words
Another movie AU! This is loosely based off The Proposal and filled with fluff! You really don’t see a whole lot of crossover fics that are long like this one, but it’s fun to read and you’ll probably fly through it just like I did. Do you like The Proposal? No? Read it anyways xx
18. CHECKED OUT
By whelvenwinge, 27,127 words
Okay this one, is really good. Like really good. It comes complete with original artwork and fantastic storytelling. Castiel is a librarian and he really despises Dean Winchester, an acclaimed author. It’s sooooo good, I cannot stress enough how much I think you should read this. And you’ll get really pretty pictures to look at! The ending is great, the beginning is great, it’s just wonderful. So what are you waiting for? Run along now and read it!
19. SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS
By habitatfordeanwinchester, 2,593
This one is just cute. It’s short and fluffy. Imagine Castiel working at a Chipotle and getting special instructions on a mobile order. Can you guess who they’re from? If you’re sad and need a pick me up, just read this one. It’s so cute!
20. C-S-T-L
By komodobits, 90,377
It has been a really long time since I read this one. But I know that I loved every second of it and I was crying during the majority of it. Either because I had just got done reading 91w or because the story itself made me emotional. Either way it’s a fantastic read! Castiel is an android and Dean is tasked with adding him to their army for the WAR. This fic has wonderful world building, really in-depth character exploration, and the ANGST. I’m probably going to read this one again sometime soon~ JOIN MEEEEE

reunited - charles leclerc
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
pairing: charles leclerc x female reader
summary: charles was the boy next door for a lot of your childhood, that was until he left one day without saying goodbye. you decide to go to the Monaco gp, but will he recognize you?
authors note: this sounded way better in my head, but i wanted to post something since I haven’t in a while.
enjoy!
—————
17 Years Ago:
You rushed down the stairs as fast as your little feet could carry you, grabbing your coat off the hook as you reached the bottom. You had spent all day watching out of your window, waiting for Charles, your next door neighbor and best friend, to come home from his week-long trip to Spain.
“Mama, Charles is home! Can I go see him?” You called out to your mother, who was tidying the kitchen. She smiled softly at you. “I don’t know love, they’ve had a long day full of traveling, they’re probably tired.”
You weren’t going to give up that easily. “But Mama, Charles said I could go see him as soon as he came home. Please? I haven’t seen him in like years.” Your mother shook her head, laughing. “Okay, you can go. But if Pascale is not in the mood to have you over, come right back. Okay?”
You ran over to your mother and hugged her leg tight. “Yes, thanks Mama.” and you practically sprinted out the door, not stopping until you rang Charles’ doorbell.
Pascale opened the door and called up the stairs for Charles to come down. “Y/N, I missed you.” he screamed and hugged you tightly. You returned the hug, grinning from ear to ear. “I missed you too. Where did you go?”
“I went to a karting race in Spain, and I nearly won.” The pride was extremely visible across his face as he held out the photos that his older brother, Lorenzo, took whilst he was driving.
“I got a silver medal, come and see.” The two of you joined hands, sprinting up the steps into Charles’ bedroom. He held out the medal and you took it into your hands.
“Charlie, this is so cool! You’re going to be the best driver ever when you’re older.” He smiled, “I hope so. I really want to driver for Ferrari when I’m older.”
You felt your heart drop a bit after hearing this. You thought that the two of you would live on the Monaco coast forever, like you had promised.
“But Charlie, Ferrari is in Italy, right?”
“Yeah, why?”
“But then we wouldn’t live together here.”
“I can live here too, or you can move to Italy with me. Don’t worry Y/N, I will never leave you.”
You looked up at him, “Promise?” He nodded, “Promise.” “Okay good.” you said, “You can’t break a promise.”
“I won’t. Now come here and look at the photos of the beach.” He said as he grabbed your hand and jumped onto the bed with you, photos flying everywhere.
a few months later
As the bus dropped you off at your gate, you sprinted towards the door, rushing to ask your mother for permission to go and see Charles. He hadn’t been in school all week, but it was wintertime, and you’d just assumed he was sick.
You rushed into the kitchen. “Mama, can I-”
You met your mother sitting at the kitchen table, with a sad smile on her face. “Y/N, come sit, we have to talk.”
You threw your bag on the floor and sat into the chair, your mother looked very upset, which worried you as she was normally an extremely happy and bright person.
“Pascale called me this morning Y/N. She had to move back to her home in Italy, her parents are very sick and she needs to help them out.”
You felt upset, Pascale was practically your second mother, but you were happy that you still had Charles.
“That’s sad, but at least Charlie is still here.”
Your mother reached out and grabbed your hand, stroking it softly. “No, Y/N. Pascale took Charles, Arthur and Lorenzo with her. They all moved to Italy.”
You burst into tears. You couldn’t believe that you had lost your best friend, and he didn’t even get to say goodbye.
“But Mama.” You cried, through sobs. “Why didn’t he say goodbye?”
A tear rolled down her cheek, she hated seeing you so upset. “It was so sudden Y/N. She didn’t tell Charles or Arthur because she didn’t want to make you all sad. But don’t worry, Pascale said that he’ll write letters to you and maybe come visit you, okay?”
You crawled into your mother’s lap, still sobbing into her soft jumper. “I didn’t want him to go. He promised he’d never leave me Mama.”
“I know pet, but this was something nobody can control.” She said, stroking your hair. “Come on, let’s watch a movie to make you feel better.”
She wrapped you up in your arms and carried you to the living room.
“I can’t wait to get his letters Mama. They’ll be so exciting.”
You waited day after day, but the letters never came.
17 Years Later:
You grabbed the white blazer that was hanging in your wardrobe and put it on with a green top underneath. Today you were going to the Monaco GP with your two best friends, who had managed to get their hands on paddock passes.
As you curled your hair and did your makeup, you couldn’t help but think about Charles. He wasn’t just your home hero, but your childhood best friend, who you still sorely missed many years later.
You tried everything to reach out to him, sending him messages, letters, posting tweets, absolutely everything, but he probably just thought you were another crazy fan, which broke your heart.
Your friends entered your room. “Ready to go?”
You nodded, grabbing your bag from your table.
The atmosphere at the race was incredible as always. This was the first year though that you weren’t watching from a balcony at your friends house, you were actually in the paddock, and it was incredible.
“So, are you gonna try and speak to Charles?” One of your friends asked, knowing the history between you two.
“No, no. He won’t remember me, and he’ll probably think I’m just some lunatic or something.” It hurt you to say it, but you knew it was true. Charles was driving for Ferrari, there’s no way that his childhood best friend was still on his mind.
You headed to the bar and got a couple of drinks, before heading to the paddock to see all of the garages of the drivers. It felt so surreal, seeing all of this in real life.
As you walked down the paddock with your friends, you managed to grab pictures with a few of the drivers, until you headed down to the Ferrari garage and saw him, you saw Charles.
Your friends nudged you, encouraging you to even just say hi. You felt nerves and panic rise in your chest, but pushed them down and did it anyways.
You smiled broadly and waved. “Hi Charles!” You called out to him. He looked at you, returning a thin-lipped smile and a wave and continued on his way, stopping for photos and autographs, but not stopping to turn back around for you.
That was it. He had forgotten you. You knew it was a high possibility he wouldn’t remember you, but that didn’t stop you from hoping for a fairytale story, where he’d remember you, swoop you into his arms, and apologize for everything. Instead you were hit with the reality, and that caused tears to stream down your cheeks.
Your friends grabbed your arms and led you out of the paddock and towards your seats. You still cheered Charles on, after all, he was your home hero, even after what just happened. At the end of the race, Charles finished P2, and the whole crowd, including you, erupted in cheers, even if you were tired and heartbroken.
Your friends turned to you. “So, are you coming to watch the music acts?” You were a sucker for concerts, but the thought of wrapping yourself up in your bedsheets feeling heartbroken was much more appealing.
“No, but please, you guys go. I’ll be fine.” You hugged them goodbye and headed home to your apartment overlooking the coast. You threw off your clothes, climbing into a hoodie and joggers, not even having the energy to take your makeup off. You curled into bed, staring at the photos on your wall, when your eyes landed on one in particular.
It was a photo of your 8th birthday. You were wearing a pink princess dress, and Charles was stood beside you, wrapping his arms around you. There was chocolate cake smeared across both of your faces and you were laughing. You felt the tears starting again, wishing you could go back to those moments, wishing that Charles had kept his promise.
You were moments away from falling to sleep, when you heard your doorbell ring. You were originally going to ignore it, but the repeated ringing declared that this person wasn’t going away until you opened the door.
You headed to the door and your mouth fell open when you saw who was standing there.
“Charles?” You asked.
He stepped in without saying nothing and engulfed you into a hug, which you immediately returned. You started to sob into his jumper.
“I’ve missed you so much.” You managed to croak out. He held you out so he could look at your face.
“Y/N, I’m so sorry for everything, for not recognizing you straight away, for leaving you all those years ago, for breaking our promise. I’m so sorry.”
You held your hand up to his face, cupping it gently. “It’s okay. You had to go. We couldn’t do anything to stop that. How did you find me?”
“I thought you looked really familiar when you waved at me earlier, it was playing on my mind all day. I seen your friends again and I asked them and they said that it was you. They told me you came hoping I would recognize you, and when I didn’t, it broke your heart, so I came right over.” Tears fell from his eyes too, which he tried to wipe away quickly.
You hugged him tight again. “I thought I’d never see you again. I’m so proud of you Charles, for achieving your dreams. I’ve followed you every step of the way, I want you to know that.” You whispered softly into his ear.
“Move in with me.” He said, out of nowhere.
“Huh?”
“Y/N, I mean it. I’ve found you now and I never want to let you go again. I don’t want to break our promise again either. Move in with me. Or I can move in with you here in Monaco, we can-”
You cut off his rambling. “Yes, yes I’ll move in with you Charlie. We’ll never lose each other again.”
You grinned at each other from ear to ear. This was it, your fairytale ending, and it was better than ever.

Are u going to do a Richonne in Retrospect for TOWL? How do you feel about the show breaking up the friendship with Michonne and Maggie? How do you think Richonne would react to Daryl leaving to find them? What do you think about a TWD season 12?
Thanks for these questions! I hadn’t thought about doing Richonne in Retrospect for TOWL. I’m really looking forward to rewatching TOWL when it comes to Nextflix next month tho and since it’s been a minute since my last rewatch I know watching it again will stir up even more thoughts and observations than the hundreds I’ve already had. Depending on what additional thoughts come to me I know I probably won’t be able to resist putting it in writing and sharing it here. 😊 Wrote out my response to the rest of the questions below ⬇️💗:
How do you feel about the show breaking up the friendship with Michonne and Maggie?
When it comes to Michonne and Maggie, I think it was definitely sad to see the sour note that ended on because they did seem to have a sweet friendship at one point. They could have been a real support system to each other as they navigated raising sons who both (at the time) weren’t getting to have their fathers in their lives.
Tumblr media
However, when some of us say that team family sorta stopped feeling like family at some point, I think Maggie is an example of that as someone who still loved the group but definitely branched off into other territories. Which is fine, it’s just sad thatshe didn’t even want to inform Michonne about her going off to establish community elsewhere and that their friendship remained fractured.
I stand by thinking that Maggie had every right to feel hurt that Rick made the executive decision to spare Negan. Where Maggie loses me tho, is in how she went about navigating her hurt by going behind Rick and Michonne’s back. If Maggie had stayed post-Rick’s departure, I’d be curious how Michonne and Maggie would or wouldn’t reconcile their friendship after everything that went down.

How do you think Richonne would react to Daryl leaving to find them?
I might be wrong but I think I saw some people clarify that Daryl hadn’t left at the end of TWD with the primary goal of looking for Rick and Michonne but instead was on some mission from Maggie? And during his travels, he told Judith he’ll be on the lookout for her parents as well? I only saw the series finale once and none of the other spin-offs so I really don’t know the specifics with that. But either way, I believe Daryl was hoping to potentially locate them while he was out and I think Rick and Michonne would appreciate that Daryl wanted to find them.
I think if he’s been gone for a lot longer than expected, they’d worry about him and they’d want him to come back home. But Rick and Michonne would know that they need to stay home with their kids and they’d probably trust that Carol will be successful in finding him. Maybe someone can fill me in - when Carol reunites with Daryl in their show do they at all imply that she knows Rick and Michonne are back home?

What do you think about a TWD season 12?
I wouldn't be crazy about a TWD Season 12. I would watch for Rick and Michonne but I personally think it would be a better idea to wrap everything up with a TOWL Season 2 instead. And I don’t just think that cuz I'm biased about Richonne even tho I am biased about Richonne. 😋
I think TWD already has such a reputation as neverending and a lot of people are weary about this franchise not knowing when to hang it up. A Season 12 will attract the most loyal in their fanbase but would likely be viewed negatively overall. Especially if they just repeat some of the bad habits new TWD developed.
Tumblr media
But if they did a TOWL Season 2 where they maybe make it 8-10 eps instead of 6 and they keep Rick and Michonne the main characters at the forefront while including familiar faces from the TWD cast, that could have a more successful result imo. Rather than feel like a stale continuation, TOWL was a refreshing improvement and promoting a season 2 that incorporates important TWD characters could feel more fresh and exciting than stale and drawn out.
As talented as the TWD ensemble is and has been since the start, Rick Grimes is the franchise’s ultimate protagonist and so ensuring that the season is still built around him and Michonne will keep the story focused and grounded. That'd be key - TOWL season 2 still should be Rick and Michonne's and the cast shouldn’t be bloated with a hodgepodge of characters and storylines. I know expanding and continuing the TWDU has become the network’s priority so I doubt that they’d want to wrap everything up or even be able to wrap everything up in a TOWL season 2 now that timelines and locations are so widespread. But in my mind that'd be a good way to close out the franchise. Let Rick and Michonne band with their family to take on one last major threat (a threat that should feel unique and not just a rehashing of former big bads) and save the world one last time.
Tumblr media
If they can do that in a way that includes tight compelling storytelling from beginning to end, I’d want that. Especially just to be able to know for certain that this story is officially closed and the actors can get their flowers for playing roles that saw a confirmed beginning, middle, and end (and end doesn’t mean death, I gotta just make sure I put that out there lol. Cuz I only want Rick and Michonne to return if they get to both live long lives). But if not, then TOWL Season One’s final note is great as is. 👌🏽
