I never got around to finishing this, so have a WIP of the Wenclair Greek War AU.
I do not fully remember what all the names meant, but Enid is Astéri (Star), Wednesday is Penthón (Mourner), Antitorpiliká (Destroyer) is either Tyler or Xavier, take your pick, Férner is Eugene (I believe meant something to the effect of "Council" or "advisor.")
Warning for murder, gore, death, mourning, anything you would expect from a war:
Astéri feels her eyes burn, weeping silently as Antitorpilikó towers over her, his well-worn shield dented by Penthón's godly spear.
"So sad, Astéri, Penthón's dearest; she must've thought, sending you out into the field, that you could win her honor back and grant your warriors safety from being chased to your fine ships, burnt in front of you as you're all slaughtered. Well—" Antitorpilikó drags his curved spear out of her chest, catching on her skin and muscles and sinew as he pulls it from her.
"—I, for one, await the moment she learns of the terrible fate I gave her dearest, and I hope she learns in front of me, just so I may see to it personally that she knows how badly you were beaten."
Astéri's last thought is a prayer to the Father of Gods and Men, a prayer that Penthón would heed her advice from before all this, all this war and the blood it spills, and set sail for their once-shared home.
The last thing she can feel is a cold breeze, and her helm being lifted off her head.
---------------------------------------------------------------
Penthón writes bitterly, all about the war that she and Astéri are in, alongside their partners in battle. She would help them, but none stood for her when that bastard implied she should set home to the land of their fathers, all because she was small and less defined as everyone beside her.
The cowards, afraid of Prodótis and all his boasting, some king he was. She almost regrets not joining in the fight, Astéri by her side, just so she can show that she is the better fighter by far.
There's no time for that, though. She has to get back to their hut so she can prepare dinner for the night.
Astéri has been dejected as of late, pressing her face into beautiful black silk that Penthón had brought from her home, given to her by her father to take for rest, sighing deeply and ignoring all attempts at talk.
Penthón decided to bring out the sweet, honeyed wine out tonight. Perhaps that would lighten her spirits some. She's missed the other woman's insane babbles of flower fields and sunny grass.
She pushes open the door to their place of rest, and begins on cooking ox. She burns their fat before she does, pouring sweet wine in libation to all the gods there are. She should be back soon, saying she'd go speak to all the others and try to find some common ground upon which she'd find truce.
Penthón shakes her head fondly, knowing that all she'd do is offer large wealth to their foes. She's too kind for her own good; sooner or later, it'll get her hurt.
She's just about to pour wine into her golden cup, but the door swings open before she can, banging against the wall and almost making her drop the bottle of honeyed wine.
She turns a black look to the door, and at the person who threw it open.
"Férner?"
She grabs the shaking man by the shoulders, leading him to sit at a seat. She pulls her hands back when he swings his arms around and knocks her back slightly.
The anger she feels at the rudeness is ignored when she sees the quick-flowing tears and war-torn look on his face.
"There's no time, Penthón." He swallows deeply, and she can see him blink away tears. "Godlike Astéri was killed in battle."
Penthón almost falls down in her shock, but the herald grabs her by the underarms before she can, shaking his head rapidly.
"There— there is no time to grief and mourn! Her body is still there, being fought over. If we catch up, we could take her body back and bury it here."
Penthón turns to where her chest where her things are kept. She dashes to it and lifts up the top, and feels her head spin when there's nothing there.
"Where is it?!" She screams, pressing her hand into the bottom as if somehow it'll appear from nothing. "Where is my spear, or my shield, or—"
"She took them." She hears the sob from behind her and turns.
"What?"
"She took them to pretend to be you so she could scare them off. She— they've stolen your armor from her body."
Penthón falls to the floor and wails this time, dragging her nails down her cheeks, cutting the fine skin there.
She stands up with speed and grabs Astéri's arms, cloaking herself in them.
She grabs the round shield and spear and turns to Férner.
"Come." She tosses him the sword and stares at him.
"We're bringing her back."
---------------------------------------------------------------
Penthón flies past all her friends and fellow fighters in her chariot to the nude, bloody body of her light. All exposed and open and dead.
She ignores all the spears that rain down around her, all the screams and cries and war-cries. They hardly matter. They don't matter.
She leads the swift horses almost completely sideways to aim herself, throwing a spear at the back of the woman whose hand is almost brushing against Astéri's perfect skin.
The weapon pushes past the bronze of her armor and comes out of her collarbone, slamming up into her jaw and knocking out teeth.
She ignores all the blood and war around her and jumps off her chariot, grabbing Astéri's body and placing her delicately on the cushion of the cart. She whips two more spears at the throng before whipping the reins of her horses and puts them at speed to their hut, paying mind nor thought to the words of her allies.
---------------------------------------------------------------
Penthón places the other woman's body on their bed, dropping to her knees and weeping into her stomach.
She weeps for so long, the next time she speaks her voice barely is able to leave her throat.
"Astéri..." she whispers, pushing golden hair off her forehead. "I'm—" she chokes again, wet-eyed and damaged. She feels unworthy to speak her perfect name, bright and burning like her tears.
“I’m so sorry. My pride, my… you were hurt, because of me.” She stands up, covered in blood of so many fallen, hers and theirs, soaked in it like hands covered in sweet wine for libation. She paces endlessly around her body, mind blank and too full all at once. She grabs her spear and begins to the door.
She’s stopped by a silken black dress, divine and perfect. Her mother’s, her mind knows.
“No.” Is all she says, pushing on Penthón’s shoulders and forcing her back into the hut, onto the other bed. “You haven’t the armor nor the spirit left to fight.”
“I don’t have the need for life anymore.” Her gaze falls past the shoulder of her mother, and lands on her love’s bloody face. “They made sure of it.”
“She will remain unavenged if you perish. What good are you then?”
“What good am I if she’s not here?”
“What?” She turns around, back to her mother, and the goddess allows it this time.
“What good am I—” she drops to her knees next to her beloved’s body. “If she’s dead?”
Her mother doesn’t move for some time. She isn’t sure. Time has no meaning without her sunshine.
Her eyes burn like flames are spreading on her face, but she can close them for a moment only before she fears those monsters will steal Astéri’s body for a second time. She’ll rip them apart with her hands if she needed. Maybe she will have to.
Her divine mother takes careful steps towards her, walking like her child is some young brat who cannot handle herself. And she’s correct. She’s lost the ability to handle herself.
“Eat, drink your wine and rest.”
Penthón turns a black glare to the goddess, nearly snarling like a wild lion at her.
“How dare you!” She turns back to staring at the corpse, petting her hair with bloody hands. “To think any of that has point now.”
Her mother, devine and strong, places a hand on her head softly, draining her of her energy.
“You will rest,” she whispers, “and when you awake, you will spear her killer through his chest.”
---------------------------------------------------------------
When her eyes open again, it’s night, dark as death with little dots of stars in the sky. She stands up immediately, desperately searching for Astéri’s body. She looks for her like a man starved searches for sweet wine or cooked ox meat.
When she finds her, Astéri has been cloaked in beautiful black silk, granting her some kind of coverage.
Penthón takes slow, shaking steps towards her, undeserving and unworthy but so self indulgent all the same. When she reaches her, she sinks slowly to her knees and places her hands on Astéri’s face, cupping her cheeks with a care that she used to fake. She doesn’t need to now. A click behind her sounds out, but she doesn’t give it any attention.
“Commander Penthón?” Férner. She wants to vomit. “We have… we need to build her funeral pyre. To lay her soul to rest.”
Penthón turns back to him, and he looks just as messy and ruined as she likely does.
“She won’t be able to rest without her ashes being in an imperishable urn.”
Penthón carefully brushes the other woman’s hair off her forehead, cleaned by someone while she slept.
“I know.”
“Your mother—” that catches her attention. “—She gave me this, to gift to you.” He steps aside and reveals a stand of armor, bright gold and red cloth, as fine as the arms that the immortals wear.
“She said you deserve to get back in blood what they took from us. And your armor, but I imagine that’s the least of your worries.”
“It is far from the highest on my list.” She stands up and gently drags her fingertips down the armor and shield, perfect spear and sharp sword. It has a thrumming where she touches, seeming to quietly whisper for blood. They want what she does.
She turns back to Férner, and he seems shaky. Unsteady. She turns back to Astéri, and hardens her heart.
“I will not let that monster walk free with her blood on his hands.”

Why wenvier works really well as a ship: the season ended with their relationship being uncertain. (read disclaimer at the end)
The entire first season of the show Wednesday and Xavier are constantly pushing and pulling, fighting and then getting along, and then fighting again and then getting along again. finally Wednesday put Xavier in jail and he was like you know what that’s it. I’m fed up of your toxic behavior, a perfectly reasonable thing to say, given the situation he was in.
However, he goes to save her with the arrow anyway, because deep down he still cares, and likely realizes it truly wasn’t personal and she was doing what she believed right/necessary to stop the evil. after all, she did come to him and try to break him out when she realized she was wrong. she tried to right her wrongs. Obviously, he had no obligation to forgive her, which is why he didn’t - right away anyways. He eventually came to understand her perspective, and decided it was worth an ounce of forgiveness. He thought it was at least not letting her die. She obviously cares as well, seeing as she took the arrow for him.
Finally we have their last scene together. He gives her a phone. he wants to in touch with a break and has hopes of rebuilding an ounce relationship. It’s likely that he hopes to be able to fully forgive her in this time. However, there are still likely be some tension between the two when they come back for the next semester.
This is what makes the prospect of them being in a relationship so interesting.
Wednesday and Tyler got along right away. They had their thing and it was fast, and ultimately ruined by Tyler being outed as the Hyde. And as much as I like wyler, it was somewhat rushed and in some ways it was too easy. This ship has potential, but only if Tyler’s character is taken in a very specific direction in season 2. (Wheras wenvier could work with almost any direction Xavier’s character may be taken in.)
Wednesday and Enid also got along immediately. Obviously, they did have their tension between the two of them. It took them a little while to understand each other, and they even have that huge fight in episode six and seven. Ultimately, I believe this relationship works better platonically seeing as everybody needs a best friend and if the two of them started to become romantically involved Wednesday wouldn’t have that best friend to fall back on. while Wednesday and Eugene are friends they’re certainly not besties. It’s much more paternal. Enid and Wednesday have a very special relationship where the dynamic would change and potentially be ruined if it was the time romantic. Wenclair honestly seems forced to me.
this brings us to our third option Wednesday and Xavier. This ship has potential to develop overtime without being forced or rushed. It would come as a result of character development for both Wednesday and Xavier. Something all characters need, a show without active character development has a flat storyline and it’s ultimately boring. Especially when the character lacking in development is the protagonist. It will be really interesting to see just how their relationship develops, from rocky and tense to something stable enough to cal a friendship and perhaps more. They both need to grow as people before either one can consider romance with anyone, and it’d be cool to see them happening to grow together. Now of course their relationship will still have its bad moments, progress isn’t ever linear, and in this situation linear progression is boring anyways. But that’s what I’m looking forward to; just watching it play out.
(P.S. as mentioned above and everywhere else on my blog I am also a huge wyler fan, so please don’t think I’m dissing that ship. This post isn’t about which ship I like overall, but simply which would be more interesting to watch unfold in the future. Where it stands I don’t like canon wenvier, because it’s missing the necessary development discussed in this post. Also, while I personally don’t ship wenclair I’m not dissing it either, it’s a valid ship it’s just not one I agree with.)

Honestly, I feel like people like them because they are total opposites. In this situation, I feel it'd be entirely toxic. I'm not even saying that because I'm a wylers shipper. I absolutely love Enid. But the simple fact that one of them would have to COMPLETE change their ENTIRE personality for their partner is not okay. Enid just genuinely seems like a emotional person, she's happy & friendly toward anyone she meets (probably because of her terrible home life), she's has a bubbly attitude but can snap when she needs to, she also hates gore & blood & anything horror/dark related. She seems to be very loyal and loving, like a dog would be.
Wednesday, on the other hand, is the complete opposite & wouldn't want to deal with the constant happiness. Which in turn would make it toxic because she'd either fully change Enid into something she isn't. Which isn't okay. People can change, sure. But changing your whole personality for 1 person isn't okay. They shared one hug. It literally was to show that Wednesday was thankful for her arrival and finally trusting her. I went into the show unbiased, not shipping anyone and not even watching the trailer. And still, I can't see it. I didn't feel or see any chemistry between the two. And honestly, all I could see was a sister like bond. Both are annoyed at the other for specific things. Like Enid not liking blood or Wednesday, not liking colors & her bubbly attitude.
One of them would have to change way too much for the other. And it'd most likely be Enid. Because Enid having all the toxicity from her family would eventually cave to make yet another person happy. Instead of caring about herself.
Then we get to Ajax. For some reason, he's so hated. Honestly, I feel like he's hated more than Tyler & Xavier. I mean, I can get why people don't like Xavier, but that's a whole other thing I can rant about, lol. Ajax is so wholesome and sweet. Which I feel like is taught to Gorgons. Since being too emotional or angry can result in them stoning someone. Which Ajax is constantly worried he'll do. I don't know how petroclair isn't loved more when really it's wholesome and sweet, they aren't forcing each other to be different, they are changing to better themselves.
Can we talk about how Wednesday was in the most none triangle love triangle ever? Like, Wednesday and Tyler were doing their own thing meanwhile Xavier was just kind of there. Now if Wednesday liked Xavier too that would be a proper triangle, but that’s not what played out. She was always upfront with him that she was there for Tyler. He was just guy on the side who had a thing for a girl who’s into someone else. It was never a triangle. It almost confuses why anyone calls it a triangle at all.

i have to be so honest i don’t understand the xavier hate. i get why people don’t really like the love triangle, but i just cant help but appreciate it?
i personally wanted an aroace wednesday and i still feel like i got it. not all aspec people are completely anti-romance and sex repulsed; many, such as myself, do experience romantic/sexual attraction. it’s a spectrum for a reason.
can’t wenclair also be seen as part of a love triangle? i like the idea of wednesday and enid, and i like the idea of wednesday and xavier, (i won’t get into the whole tyler thing rn, but i don’t see them together at all, sorry) but why can’t it be one of those AND an aspec wednesday? truthfully there is nothing better to me than an aroace person in a love triangle.
i cant say fs which i would prefer she end up with but i would not really have a complaint either way! whether she’s with enid or xavier or no one, i will feel satisfied!! both characters are good matches for her, (and even so, a show with teenage characters that aren’t obsessed with dating would be so refreshing!! and if you found xavier kinda bland: remember the show is from wednesday’s pov: in her eyes, xavier is pretty boring, and enid is WAY too much. i think we probably missed out on a lot of their traits bc of wednesday’s black-and-white filter. based on the finale, season 2 probably won’t have this filter as much, as we can see wednesday’s views and ideas of her friends changing, we’ll hopefully get to see more of them under the surface. then it also might be easier for me to decide who i ship her with lmao)
fingers crossed for season 2!!
#sorry y’all i’m a demiromantic asexual wednesday truther#also if i’m being honest: since it’s a netflix original#i feel like the chances of a sapphic wednesday are slim#if thats the only reason wenclair doesn’t happen i’ll be upset#wednesday#wednesday netflix#wednesday addams#xavier thorpe#enid sinclair#wednesday x xavier#wenclair#aroace wednesday#the addams family#gif from @riris

YALL straight tiktok is on some wack shit rn. Like they are all upset with Tyler being the Hyde and evil cause now he and Wednesday can’t be together. The other half is like “I always shipped Wednesday and Xavier” as if that’s literally a thing??? Like he is shit at communicating and with how he treated Bianca he like really sucks??
Listen there are only 2 options for Wednesday for me personally, she is either aroace or she dates Enid or hell is ace but still dates Enid idc but she should NOT be paired with Xavier or Tyler. Hell introduce a new character next season but make them someone that actually morally challenges the problematic traits Wednesday has.
Tyler is literally the most basic white boi and read signals that were never there. He would say those things to try to implant the idea that Wednesday likes him when she doesn’t. He was literally manipulating her the whole time. Additionally, in previous posts I have said how Xavier probably has the worst communication skills in this show so like she just dodged that bullet. Like why are people not seeing this? Am I just too gay? Too neurodivergent? Am I the only one that sees Wednesday may have been using her friends but the reasoning wasn’t even selfish. She wanted to know who was MURDERING everyone. Like at least give her a ride without expecting anything Jesus.
Edit: Eugene was the bestest friend Wednesday had this whole show (not dissing Enid but Eugene was literally Wednesday’s ride or die)

So...about the boys in Wednesday...Let's be honest they aren't that great. But i kinda think that's the point. Obviously, spoilers ahead.
Disclaimer: I was not in this fandom before yesterday so I love Enid but i don't ship her with Wednesday. Completely fair if you do but personally i don't dig that dynamic for a romantic pairing and i think Enid is too good for Wednesday 😭 I really thought we'd have more Bianca x Wednesday but alas
Now the "Love Triangle", was it is even one?
Let me start with Xavier. Besides the tortured artist boy being a least favorite trope of mine (ironic considering i am this trope) he just didn't have much depth. He doesn't get along with his dad, he's rich, popular, into Wednesday. What else? He's obsessed with Wednesday. Like i know he can't help seeing her in his dreams but the way he goes about his interest in her is icky and not in the fun way. Xavier is Bianca's ex bf (side note: can we get more Bianca love pls?) And broke up with her bc he felt she was hypnotizing him. Which is ironic considering he asks her to make him forget about Wed. Glad the show touched on how not cool that was.
Other than him just not really having much depth, he is also the "love interest" and i use the term loosely that Wednesday is the least interested in. She only ever entertains either boy when she has an ulterior motive (which y'know girl slay gas keep), but Xavier really never had a shot and I hope the end scene was more them becoming friends than anything bc imo they had negative chemistry. Wednesday doesn't care about Xavier's feelings. She doesn't care about his warnings. He is just of no importance to her until he seems like the killer. I really hope they give Xavier a glow up and keep them as just friends, we need more m&f friendships that don't turn romantic.
One to the other (more successful) love interest. Tyler.
Now i didn't put love interest in quotes this time bc he actually got a kiss. Lemme make this clear, Wednesday would have never gone along with Thing's shenanigans if she was interested in Tyler. She would have never gone on the date or kissed him if she didn't want to. Of the two dudes, Tyler is imo the only real love interest of s1. Xavier is just some guy who likes her. Tyler may or may not have been into Wednesday but she was into him. If you disagree with any of this that's fair but i think we watched different shows idk. Wednesday was definitely into Tyler in the end, but was he into her? Was any of it genuine or was it all an act? Idk for Wednesday Addams, i think a manipulative monster is probably her dream guy just saying
With that established, I need to admit that Tyler is my preferred love interest. Now lemme explain before you run away, Tyler is a manipulative POS but that's exactly why he's great for Wednesday. She's an Addams, they are a family full of manipulators, criminals, and altogether twisted people. Yet at the same time they're lovable and loyal to each other. Wednesday canonically tortures her brother, she's not called toxic for no reason, she's the most malicious Addams we know. Even Fester is mostly just a goof, a murderous goof but still. With the caveat of Tyler getting a redemption arc in next season, i can totally see the show overlooking his murders bc we still don't really know what being a Hyde entails and like i said, the Addams don't seem to care if you killed or kill people, just don't wear pastels. And honestly it's a bad look to just cast aside the traumatized, abused, and neglected kid as evil and leave it at that. With our protagonist being who she is, i hope the writers give Tyler some more screentime bc i can really see him being a great rival/frenemy to Wednesday and personally i think if she does get a romance, enemies to lovers is probably the best trope for her.
If you made it this far, damn sorry you did that to yourself. If you're a wenclair girlie, I'm rooting for you but it's just not my cup of tea tho I'd love to be proven wrong in subsequent seasons

Just finished the entirety of Netflix's Wednesday..... I enjoyed it and am definitely itching to do a re-watch to properly give an analysis for the show for each episode 😍😍😍
I can't wait till Real Life eases it's demands of me so I can get back to Writing and Fandom things 😮💨🥺😩😩
But to share my fresh impression of the show:
Jenna Ortega will undoubtedly be a legendary icon as an actress
Enid and Wednesday are my favorite type of character dynamics
Bianca has so much potential but I'm still not 100% feeling her
Idc whats been said, Ajax and Enid are so fucking adorable 😍 I ship it (but if they break up I'm not gonna cry about it so long as it ends well and they remain friends!!)
Eugene needs more development, same with pugsley, but they weren't annoying
I straight up didn't like Tyler from the moment he was introduced (which is weird for me because his character type is usually my immediate Stan). He was cute, the actor was amazing, but something about his way with Wednesday was a turn off for me.... Maybe it was because Wednesday actually seemed to have affection for him and I couldn't see a girl like her actracted to a guy like him ( sure he was a **** in the end but still.....)
Unsurprisingly, I was feeling Xavier. It was the obvious jealousy and constant tortured rejection face he made everytim Wednesday stomped, stabbed and ripped his heart to shreds. That for whatever reason really got me cheering for him to at least get a romantic moment only to eventually die (either by Wednesdays hand or something else 😂)
I....was not digging Morticia's dress... Catherine zeta Jones is an absolute babe but that dress was so low budget and unflattering. They could do better.
Enid's family gave me mild Weasley family vibes would love to see more about her character.
Uncle fester was defs more creeps eccentric but wasn't present long enough for me to care for.
Principal Weems is a Legend and will forever be an icon of Nevermore.
Overall.... I can't wait till Season 2 and a the fanfiction starts pumping out. There's probably gonna be a lot of Wednesday and Enid fics, but I honestly prefer them to be besties 🤷
To my Bridgerton followers worried I've ditched writing SMB for another fandom and abandoned you all.... I assure you, the next chapter will at least be out before Season 3 😅😅

Warning: This post will contain spoilers for Netflix’s Wednesday - do tread carefully.
Why I Think Wednesday Addams (particularly this adaptation) is AroAce.
———
Quick Definitions of Terms I’ll Be Using:
AroAce: someone who is on both the Asexual and Aromantic spectrum.
Asexual: experiencing little to no sexual attraction.
Aromantic: experiencing little to no romantic attraction.
Demiromantic: does not experience romantic attraction until they have formed a deep emotional connection with someone.
Greyromantic: experiencing romantic attraction but very infrequently.
——— Now let’s begin:
So I recently watched Wednesday and absolutely loved it!! I noticed specific things about this Wednesday that made me think she was AroAce. Despite her having feelings for Tyler, the way she acted around these non-platonic relations felt very familiar. I will say though, Tyler and her romance felt very forced (personally), but i digress.
In the first episode, Wednesday expresses to her parents, specifically her mother how she will “never be like her” and wishes to “never marry, or have kids” etc. which already began to intrigue me. An attitude and notion I had from a young age as well (and still agree with). Secondly, while on the drive to the academy, we see Wednesday get increasingly uncomfortable by her parents affection for each other (yes in general it can be gross to see our parents this way, but the nauseous feeling she mentions is relatable).
A Brief Look at Tyler & Wednesday:
A lot of the ways that Wednesday would react to Tyler’s advances in trying to be more than friends, she didn’t really pick up on (such as his attempts to flirt or ask her out). An example being, Tyler outside of the police station talking with Wednesday, “i thought you liked me” - Wednesday has this familiar face of confusion (and realization) that some might call asexual obliviousness (can’t tell when someone’s flirting, thinks their just being nice). At least, it’s familiar to me haha. Even when they do start to consider being more than friends, we see Wednesday sort of still confused by this possible romantic feelings that she hadn’t really taken the time to notice. Since beginning at the academy - She firstly never really had friends until going to the academy, and secondly, upon making friends then began to develop a romantic attraction.
Personally with such evidence that I saw, I would headcanon her as Asexual Demiromantic OR as Asexual Greyromantic. Maybe bias as an Asexual Demiromantic myself, but her character just felt too familiar in her sense of exploring platonic and non-platonic feelings.
Addressing some Misconceptions:
I’ve seen some discourse on here about people either wanting:
1) Enid & Wednesday as a ship
OR 2) to be AroAce.
I think some folks forget that AroAce people can still be in romantic relationships (or sexual relationships) and engage in romantic/sexual activities. Aromanticism and Asexuality have a broad spectrum of identities under their umbrella terms.
Enid, Wednesday, Tyler (and Xavier) thoughts:
I honestly think Enid & Wednesday would make a cute couple!! Tyler & Wednesday were okay, but like i said it felt VERY forced. Not entirely sure if they are trying to set up Xavier and Wednesday but I would like to see more female - male platonic relationships too. Don’t need to always have them in a relationship ugh!! Final reminder: AroAce folk can still be in relationships!! Also you’re valid!! 💗
Anyways,
thanks for reading my little tangent!! /gen
Let me know what you think in the comments!! [Any form of aphobic comments will be removed!] - Using tone indicators would be appreciated!! <3

Wednesday Related Rambles at 1am/2am with spoilers!
I’m going to die on the hill that Larissa wanted Gomez, sure, but she also wanted Morticia and was just heavily in denial about it. I won’t be convinced that she wasn’t attracted to both of them and only pursued Gomez due to societal pressures and expectations of the time. To be an outcast to outcasts would suck ass.
And then also I don’t think she’s dramatic for not being over either of them as an adult. Wednesday’s being at Nevermore likely dug up feelings she never fully got to process, as she seems like the type to throw herself into her work/ professional career rather than process her emotions, so she’s forced to acknowledge them now. She doesn’t hate Morticia or Gomez, but is upset that the future she wanted with them, or either of them depending on how you view things, didn’t happen. It’s all a kind of “Well I guess I wasn’t coping with that as well as I thought I was” situation with her in my opinion.
—
And I think the love triangle is simultaneously good writing and the worst part of the entire fucking show, although I must state I have only watched the show once so far.
It forces Wednesday to acknowledge romantic feelings are a thing within her reality, her personal reality not just that of the world. She understands the sting of betrayal later before she’s totally and 100% ctrl-alt-deleted from the world.
It also allows Wednesday to get close to both Tyler and Xavier.
However where it bothers me is both boys reactions to Wednesday not actually liking them back are along the lines of them being angry. Wednesday didn’t even show any interest in them from what I can tell.
But at the same time it makes sense because of some nice guy logic. It also makes Tyler get over his feelings for Wednesday, which imo were at least partially real, so especially after the torture he feels perfectly fine with doing what he did in ep8.
For Xavier it allows Wednesday to get close enough to get him arrested….although just friendship would’ve worked here too.
I hc Wednesday as ace but demiromantic, maybe demisexual, however aroace Wednesday has a special place within my heart. I’m just, demi, so, yeah.
—
Ppl getting mad at autistic/adhd folk like myself for headcanoning Wednesday as such but like, still love her for being “quirky”. Quirky is only cool when it’s on tv ig… Maybe it’s because they can’t bully someone into being ‘normal’ /hj.
—
Not a huge fan of Wenclaire cause I like Enid and Ajax, however, cute ass ship with cute ass art. Y’all keep doing you and I hope it makes you happy.
HOWEVER Wednesday x Larissa? Deep. Sigh. Larissa is old enough to be her mom, and Wednesday is 16, a minor. Not elaborating. I shouldn’t need to.
—
Bianca deserved the humbling’s she got, hell, she needed them.
—
It’d have been interesting if Tyler wasn’t awoken by Laurel, but idk who else could’ve done it.
—
They should’ve let Wednesday shoot Laurel. I’m sorry.
—
Okay I’m probably going to hell for this one, but Noble being hit by that car was hilarious. I had to pause the episode to laugh. He just ragdolled and that shit sent me, okay? Sent me almost as high as his body went before hitting the ground.
—
Larissa’s death caught me off guard and made me SO FUCKIN SAD. She JUST got to a trusting point with Wednesday after not trusting her all season and what did it get her? DEAD. SHE DESERVED BETTER. I hope the writers find a way to bs bringing her back to life.

A/N: I don't know where this came from it was just in my head and then I had to write it. In this they're all adults and they've been married for some time. I was purposefully vague with what happened with Tyler after S01 so you can decide how they all got together! Stay sissy and bitchy everyone <3
“So Enid and I have been talking,” Ajax announced as he walked into the massive master bedroom that he shared with all of his partners, the aforementioned werewolf clutching his arm.
“That’s never a good sign,” Xavier winced as he looked up from the canvas he had been working on. He had very recently gotten a commission from someone to do something in charcoal, so his fingernails had been stained black for weeks.
Tyler kicked him weakly, just enough to make his chair budge. He turned towards their partners and asked, “What about?”
Enid turned so that she was facing the husband next to her, the smile pulling at either of her cheeks so hard that it looked borderline painful. “Ajax and I have decided that we want to have kids!”
The consistent steady tap-tap-tap of Wednesday’s type writer stalled. Her fingers were hovering a few centimeters away from the keys as her brain pulled away from the fictitious novel that it was creating and back towards the real world. She tossed a look to her fiance and then over to the two husbands sitting near their coffee table. “This was inevitable, wasn’t it?” she asked.
“You knew that Enid came from a big family. Of course she’d want kids,” Tyler replied easily. “Ajax is a bit more of a surprise for me.”
“I wanted children as well, after I met all of you,” Wednesday replied easily. It had gotten easier for her to accept the concept of motherhood and marriage when she realized that she could have a different version of it than her mother had. She didn’t have to stay home, tending to the house and taking care of whatever children she did or didn't have based on her spouse’s desire. Instead, she could work as a forensic scientist and write her novel while others tended to the house. Enid had assured her that she was fine to do housewife duties with Tyler in between her big events every couple of months. Ajax was really good with kids, so she knew that he would most likely become the primary caregiver for them as well.
“Do the rest of you not want kids?” Enid asked, her mouth flickering down into a worried frown for just a moment.
“N-no, I think we all want kids too,” Xavier quickly corrected. His eyes were darting around to the rest of his partners as if he was worried that he was saying something wrong. It bothered the rest of them that even after all of this time, literal years spent away from a siren or his father, that he was still this nervous to speak his mind.
“Great!” Enid clapped her hands eagerly. She almost skipped across the room so that she could cup either side of his face and bring their lips in together for a searing kiss.
Xavier chuckled, gently prying her away from him with his pigment covered hands. “Baby, we actually have to talk about this.”
The werewolf let out a grumpy little noise and then plopped herself down into his lap. “What is there to talk about?”
“Well, who’s going to carry the baby, who’s going to father it, when do we want to try and conceive, where would we even put a child,” Tyler listed off several of the questions that popped into his head when he first heard his wife’s statements.
She looked at him for a moment and then sunk lower into Xavier’s lap like she had suddenly realized that her plan had been foiled. Wednesday finished typing the sentence that she was on and then gracefully made her way over to the living room set up that they had in their bedroom. She sat down on the couch next to Ajax and said, “I could carry the first child. I always wanted to know what pregnancy and childbirth would be like for someone like me.”
“Are you sure? You’d have to give up coffee, poison, and alcohol for like nine months since we don’t know how that would effect a baby with our mixed genes,” Xavier said carefully. They were all aware that they had been given the Addams’ family curse when they had married their wife, but it was still uncertain if the baby would have the same resistance to death that they now did.
“I could do it. Do you think that I couldn’t?” she asked, raising one perfect brow in a challenge to her husband.
Enid spoke up before the two of them could get in a hissing match that would result in some very distracting sex. “Well if Wednesday wants to carry then that’s one problem that’s solved. Also, this house has like a billion rooms so we could just make a nursery out of one of them. As for when we start, why can’t we do it right now?”
“You’re just horny,” Ajax giggled with a dopey smile.
“I guess we are pretty settled into our jobs and it’s not like we’re struggling financially. But who would father?” Tyler nodded. He grasped his hands together in his lap for just a moment before he said, “I don’t think that it should be me. I don’t want to risk passing down any of my hyde genetics. I know that none of you mind and that Wednesday likes it but I wouldn’t want to give my issues to a kid that didn’t even ask for it. And I don’t want to turn into my mother.”
“I didn’t turn into my mother,” Wednesday replied but she was very obviously respecting his wishes. While she liked to push his boundaries and edge him out of his comfort zone, she knew that forcing him to genetically father a child when he didn’t want to was past an unspoken boundary.
Xavier blew out a breath, which moved a couple of the long blond strands of Enid’s hair. “I’m not sure if I want to either. I feel like I’d be passing on the whole ‘Thorpe Empire’ bullshit that I had to grow up with. My father still hasn’t let go of that shit,” he grumbled. He wrapped his arms tighter around his wife to try and forget how much of a problem his father had been in the last few years. “If we want to start trying to have a baby right now then I don’t want to father it. I’ve got some thinking to do before then.”
The last of her husband’s turned to face Wednesday, his face soft and near stupid as he said, “I guess it’s just us then, huh raven?”

New Wednesday fans--welcome to the Addams Family fandom!
I think this fandom has at least doubled in size over the past few months and it’s great to see so much appreciation for the Addams Family and for Wednesday as a character! (I feel like she’s been written off as someone who’s just cruel for no reason in popular culture for far too long--even though the 90s films already demonstrated that she has a strong awareness of injustice and cares a lot about her family--so seeing people truly appreciate her as a character and realise that she’s not actually a terrible person is honestly such a relief.)
I really enjoyed the new Wednesday show (it has its faults--but I also think SOME of the criticisms of it I’ve seen from some people in the Addams Family fandom are...not actually accurate or fair and are just based in nostalgia/distorted memories of previous versions) and I love several of the new characters it’s introduced, and I also love the show’s takes on the Addamses (I was particularly pleasantly surprised by Fester, who I all too often find annoying but was genuinely very funny in this).
I was somewhat caught off-guard by Wednesday/Enid having (last time I checked) twice as many fics as Gomez/Morticia (in the Addams Family category as a whole, not just when specifically looking at fics for the Netflix show), because I hadn’t realised how many people would start writing Addams fic who hadn’t written any before the new show--but at the same time, Wednesday/Enid is a great ship and I love their dynamic, so I’m not exactly complaining even though Gomez/Morticia will always be my favourite relationship in the series.
I also realise that when a lot of people enter an old and established fandom, especially when the new people outnumber the old fans, there’s a risk of the fandom becoming divided or the two groups being hostile to each other, and I REALLY don’t want that to happen.
Sometimes when this happens it’s caused by old fans being judgemental and unwelcoming. So, to my fellow Addams Family fans: please don’t do that. This includes if you see a headcanon or fic that’s clearly written by someone who’s only watched Wednesday and that you think gets things wrong about the Addamses...there’s A LOT of Addams media out there and it’s not fair to expect anyone to be an expert on all of it before writing their fic, especially if they’re hyperfixated on a new character like Enid. If you want to talk about misconceptions etc you can feel free but please can everyone be polite about it and not start yelling YOU’RE WRONG and FAKE FAN etc at people?
That being said, I do have a couple of pointers for new fans as well...
1) This fandom has historically not really been big on ship wars and “your ship vs my ship” teams, mostly because the canon tends not to be focussed on any romance other than Gomez/Morticia. Many of us enjoy having a fandom where people don’t constantly yell at each other over ships, so we’d...really appreciate it if Wednesday/Enid vs Wednesday/Tyler vs Wednesday/Xavier vs Wednesday/Bianca...didn’t turn into angry arguments and personal enmity and insults. Also, while I have nothing against people headcanoning Wednesday as a lesbian...please don’t tell people who see her as bi that they’re wrong, homophobic, OOC, etc. A bi character is not somehow a “lesser” form of representation than a lesbian character, they’re not “half-straight”, they’re still fully LGBTQA+. Wednesday has had relationships with guys in previous versions of canon, including the musical version of her marrying one--though since there was one production of the musical that portrayed that character as a woman instead, you could argue that she’s canonically bi in that she’s been depicted in relationships with guys and with women? either way saying “the idea that Wednesday would ever be interested in a guy is wrong and OOC and unthinkable and you’re homophobic if you even suggest it”...honestly just feels biphobic imo. Personally, I think Wednesday had more chemistry with Enid than with Tyler or Xavier, I don’t see Wednesday as into Xavier at all, and I don’t SHIP Wednesday/Tyler or think she was deeply in love with him--but she was into him enough to want to kiss him and I have a hard time seeing that as just comphet because I’m not sure anyone raised by the Addamses would really have comphet. Other people are always welcome to interpret things differently but just let’s not get hostile over it?
2) I’ve seen a MINORITY of Wednesday fans making some...really odd assumptions about Gomez. Assumptions that don’t really come from anything in the show--such as people portraying him as a bad husband and/or father even though he was literally willing to go to prison to protect Morticia, and Wednesday (not known for being easy to get compliments from) makes it very clear that she sees him as a good father. Or suggesting that Morticia doesn’t actually love him, which imo is pretty unfair on BOTH of them. The show’s version of Gomez doesn’t get a huge amount of screentime, but from what we’ve seen he really doesn’t seem that different to previous Gomezes to me (the main difference seems to be that he met Morticia as a teenager instead of in his 20s, and so generally had a better time at that age--he talks about Nevermore as “the best days of your life” etc when I can’t imagine previous Gomezes seeing school that way and most of them were to varying degrees an angsty mess before meeting Morticia--but that’s not THAT drastic a change in the grand scheme of things), but I’ve seen some people assuming things about him that were very rarely assumed about any previous version. I can’t help but feel like people are being unfair and harsh in their assumptions/headcanons about a character of colour in a way that they weren’t about versions of the character who are played by lighter-skinned actors, and some of the headcanons I’ve seen (I am not going to name names or call out anything specific here especially as some were clearly only intended as jokes/memes, especially the alignment chart ones and similar) felt like they played into stereotypes. (Also, Gomez and Morticia were the protagonists of many previous versions and so older fans will generally love them. If you go out of your way to portray them as horrible people...don’t be surprised if some people do get a bit defensive, especially as the show really doesn’t give you any reason to think that of them.)
Finally--I realise that some people might want to know more about previous versions and not know where to start, or might be overwhelmed by the amount of different stuff there is out there. I can’t promise to always be 100% objective because I do have versions I prefer over others, and I also can’t claim to be an expert on all versions (I haven’t really watched any animated TV shows, though I watched a few episodes of one of them once and had mixed feelings on it, and I haven’t finished watching the 90s live-action reboot TV show either), but...I do really love infodumping so...if people DO have questions about previous versions I would actually be really happy to try and answer them? And while I can’t make the time commitment to being a full beta for SPaG, writing style, etc...I am very happy to volunteer to do a quick characterisation check or general “person who knows lots of random facts about previous versions” check on fics if anyone wants that. Of course sometimes the answer to a question might be “it’s varied wildly between versions so it’s down to your personal preference” (and I would never try and force anyone towards my headcanons or even my own favourite versions--even if I MENTION them in my answers you’re obviously free to completely ignore anything I say), but other things ARE actually pretty consistent between versions--and since Wednesday has a lot of subtle callbacks to previous versions (especially the 60s show and the 90s films), I feel like there’s a lot of fun potential to include more stuff from previous versions in fics and headcanons.
This isn’t me trying to set myself up as some sort of Dictator Of The Canon because there’s so many versions that canon can only ever be loosely defined--I just feel like there’s a lot of fun stuff from older Addams media that I think people would enjoy knowing about but that can be easy to miss because of HOW MUCH stuff there is and how hard it can be to know where to start.

I watched Wednesday when it came out, I watched the TikTok’s, read the tumblr posts, and I gotta say… Is this twilight all over again?
Now I have my favorite ships, my least favorite ships, but I don’t like the whole Team Tyler vs Team Xavier. Did we not learn anything from Twilight? When I was talking to a friend, they brought it up and I agreed.
Keep in mind that I am asexual, I love Xavier, and I have been watching Addams family content since I was a little kid. I had a massive crush on Wednesday when I was little and saw us as alike. Hell I dressed up as her for an entire month before my mom told me to stop.
Wednesday has always made me feel seen as someone who is confused when it came to emotions because that’s what she is, confused about certain emotions. She feels the need to conceal them to the point where she is numb. Which is part of why I hate this “THIS SHIP HAS TO BE ENDGAME.” Like no. I’ve seen Endgame. Not a great thing tbh. Jokes aside, I don’t want Wednesday to date at all. She feels good as a stand alone character. Having Enid as her soulmate is possible but she is at best a demiromantic. I don’t think she even liked Tyler romantically but was curious.
Continuing this, I like Tyler with Xavier if either HAS to be with someone. They are both insanely misogynistic and feel like Wednesday owes them and it felt like, in one scene, that Tyler was basically calling her stupid not seeing his hints.
Now I love Xavier. I’m actually writing a fanfiction with my own OC but I will say that despite the fact I think he is great, he doesn’t love Wednesday. Nor does Tyler. Tyler made me feel like he was trying to win something. (Love him still though). Xavier made me feel like he was owed Wednesday’s love. Especially when he got all pissy at the Dance scene.
I like Enid and Ajax together. They are really sweet and anyone who complains about how “Enid is lesbian!” Enid is Pansexual and so is Ajak (both are headcanons but I see it a lot).
Now that my complaining is out of the way: my actual headcanons
Tyler is closeted homophobic bisexual leaning towards girls.
Xavier reads as someone who has a homophobic father but is bisexual.
Wednesday is Demiromantic Asexual but still figuring herself out
Enid doesn’t like labels but will say she is under the pan umbrella
Ajax would agree
Bianca is a siren plus her mother feels homophobic but still a siren so genderfluid pansexual
And Yoko is Asexual Lesbian/Pan with a preference for girls :)
All in all, this is a silly show with fictional characters. I would be annoyed if Wednesday started dating Xavier but it is ultimately not my decision.

look, wenclair had zero chance of happening as early as in the first season and this is something we were aware of from the start. we also knew there would be guys taking an interest in Wednesday and it also happened as expected as both Tyler and Xavier try to get into her good graces. reviews keep stressing though that Wednesday isn't interested in either of them and even go as far to point out that SPOILER Wednesday herself asked Tyler to come the dance but only because she needed him for the purpose of her investigation). so this supposed love triangle doesn't even work as a triangle in the first place because wednesday herself wants none of it.
as for enid, her character is canonically 15, emotionally insecure and her biggest fear is dying alone because she's different and doesn't seem to fit in even in a school for outcasts. and of course who would want a werewolf who can't even transform? i'm guessing this has to be the core of her woes but of course i will have to see the show first to know more. anyway it is heavily implied that her parents aren't very accepting of her either as the fandom managed to successfully deduce.
my point is that if she's shown (romantic) interest she will absolutely latch onto it and won't even question it. she needs the valiadation that she's not unlovable and is actually worthy of attention. even if she gets a boyfriend by the end of the season it's still fine because she needs to figure it out who she is and who and what she truly wants and it takes time. i'm not saying i'll like it bc obviously i will not but it's what it is. she's also young, 15 as i've mentioned, so she will not end up with a guy at this stage no matter what.
yes the reviews are coming in and we learn a bit more about the show each day. i think it's safe to say it's not flawless (what is, really?) but the general consensus seems to be that it turned out very good and is definitely worth watching it. critics are also in agreement that the friendship that grew between wednesday and enid is beautiful and heartwarming and is one of the biggest (if not THE biggest) highlight(s) of the show. and that is such an amazing outcome of the first season, don't you think so?
while i cherish this friendship with my whole heart, i honestly believe wenclair has every chance to turn romantic in future seasons. i don't think anyone expected this ship to be this huge and popular and most importantly powerful. no one could have guessed there would be a massive fandom months before the show's premiere that is demanding romantic wenclair to happen. no one would have known it would be such a force to reckon with. but here we are, making our voices heard and we gotta continue to do so. we know that the cast is aware of wenclair because they would be blind not to. hunter doohan's shoutout from that infamous wednesgay event was just confirming it. by this point the creators must be very much aware of it too and when they see there is such a huge and overwhelming support and demand for the pairing there's no way they don't consider it. it wouldn't be the first time something like this happened, that the fanbase's voice was so loud that the creators ended up giving in. why could it not happen again? wenclair has a fantastic potential, they alrady have a great foundation after becoming friends by the end of this season, jenna and emma have insanely good chemistry as per the critics' opinion, wednesday's sexuality has never been confirmed (obviously) so they won't even have to worry about rewriting existing canon and of course they can do whatever they please with their own original characters. this is such an opportunity for writing an absolutely compelling story, because that's what wenclair is. beautiful and compelling and a breath of fresh air. but it will only have a chance of happening if the show gets all the support possible so it gets renewed for further seasons and watching it through gifsets will not help at all. obviously i can't tell you what to do or not do but please, if you were previously interested in the show don't let certain spoilers turn you off now mere days before the premiere and consider watching it like you intended to cause chances are you're going to enjoy it and you are also helping getting that renewal so wenclair will have a shot.
at this point id rather be called a gay slur then to witness wednesday or enid end up with a bland white cisman; and the way things are going from spoilers/reviews i think ill be watching the show through gifsets so i can save my eyes from viewing such nausea
#didn't mean to hijack your post but i had thoughts i could've kept to myself but i didn't#if the show gets cancelled after 1 season wenclair has zero chance of happening#if the show gets renewed and we keep supporting wenclair LOUDER than ever before wenclair does have a chance#simple as that

Yeah, the fandom talk brings the mood down. Feels like giant disclaimers instead of fun. Let's move on.
It’s great to talk to someone who can just have fun with instead of & not be falsely accused of being something you're not over some bullshit.
Yeah, I was so surprised she said that I thought we had all but lost any hope for weyler at least from Jenna's end. It's crazy how that one word brought back at least a sliver of hope.
It way be a hide out for Tyler. Maybe some abandoned house on the outskirts of town. I wonder how Wednesday would get involved if it is though. Is it a house she got for him, or did she find him hiding there? If so, how? Dis she hear he escaped, & went looking for him? What were he motives in doing so? Did she want help him? Did she want to yell at him for deceiving her & yell at him a bit? Was she just intrigued at he did deceive him & can't help but want more? Or was she out for revenge at first & somehow they start an unlikely partnership, probably to take down this stalker? The possibilities are endless & I can't wait for it.
No more Joel. I want to keep him out of the stratosphere of this timeline. As in nowhere near it.
Ugh, yes. I've seen the theories of Tyler & Xavier maybe being half brothers & I hate it. But only because I don't like Xavier. I was hoping he'd slowly fade into the background & disappear. But I'd understand it if that's where it's going. I'd make sense because they have to be related in some aspect. So Tyler & Xavier actually being relatives would make sense. But if so, Fran! WHY?!
Wednesday taking a arrow for Xavier was the nicest thing she did for him all season. She may not like him, but she at least doesn't want him dead. Romantic.
That whole dance scene being for Tyler needs to be more widespread then it is. Because it's true. It shouldn't be swept under the rug. Both for my fangirl heart & storytelling. Wednesday "I will not fall in love" Addams peacocking for her man went viral. Spread the fucking news. It goes to show just how special Tyler was to her in her eyes. And she had no qualms about doing it either.
Honestly, I barely remember that scene with you're talking about where Enid asked Wednesday to go to the dance because Ajax stood her up. And I rewatched the show plenty of times when it for came out. That being said, the fact that they're trying to drag i into some big romantic gesture/hint.. like I said they're dragging it. Also, if they want to say she didn't really want to be at that dance with Tyler, I would advise them to redirect themselves to the paragraph just above this one.
We need Galpin family content. It only makes sense. I'd be surprised if we don't get any. With Fran being a hyde & Tyler being so close to Wednesday. More Galpin family content seems like the most obvious route. It connects things in ways that makes the most sense. I want to know their story with & without Wednesday. Most of the characters are interesting. The writers did their things with that. Sorry, Xavier. But nobody's perfect.
I applaud the father/son relationship Hunter & Jamie portrayed even if nobody else will. I'm giving them their flowers now instead of later. Bravo.
With Jenna's mindset about being against romance, but somehow wanting her to be with Enid, wanting Wednesday to be with a monster, also being Enid while simultanuosly pushing the thought of Tyler away for being a monster. In that aspect I feel like she's being influenced. Weather it be by fans, or whatever. I don't know. I'm kind of just blabbing, because I can't figure it out.
Tyler & Wednesday are toxic in a Addams family way. That makes sense so far based on all the other Wednesday ships in the series. No matter how anyone wants to argue against it. I mean, they can, but they'd still be wrong.
Wednesday went back into gates mansion to save Tyler when she thought he was in danger, she saw how Enid, her best friend was hurt after a fight for her & finally reciprocated a hug from her, and she took a arrow for Xavier. She cares for people. Shocking. As if the entire season wasn't basically Wednesday learning to put her guard down & let people into her life. Trying to turn everything she does to show the people she cares for that she does actually care & turning it all into an assumption that she must be romantically interested in them simply for that, all while simultaneously disregarding her actual displays of romantic affection is lowkey, maybe even highkey, insulting to the character.
Yeah, you might convince me to start hating Xavier. I don't think about him often so I don't usually care. But it seems like if you focus on him long enough there's more reasons not to like him.
And it's not the just the fact that some people are saying she's a queer icon. If it were just fandom, okay. But the fact that she tried to argue me down & turn me into a villain for not seeing it that way is wild. And there are too many other people like that. If you want to see it that way fine. Lets all have our own fun. But down try & force it on other people & make then out to be a some sort of bad guy. It's fandom. It was never meant to be that serious & it’s not even canon anyway.
You know what I just realized it is, or might be. I'm brainstorming as I type this out. Being in the entertainment industry has similarities to being a service worker in the way that customer/consumer entitlement complex. Sure being a celebrity comes with certain privileges. No denial there. But they're still providing a service in the form of entertainment. With actors it's more intense because their name & likeness are the product. So, because of this there's no disconnect. Celebrities can't just take off the uniform & life a completely different life. That is if the conspiracies truly are false. They have no days off. The fans have this the customer is always right mentally, in that want into their personal lives in ways the have not right to. They love the celebrity so much to where they want to know more & feel apart of their life somehow. And in a way it's the same with the creators behind the scenes. Writers can have a well thought out story ready to tell. But because fans have attached themselves to the story, if it doesn't go their way with ships being one example, they riot or send threats etc. Fans like these are basically the Karen's of the entertainment industry. I wonder if they should get a name too. Stan would be ideal given the fact that the term devises from the Eminem song that basically describes something pretty damn similar. But fandom has already claimed that. I wonder if this theory becomes popular will be something new name for it, or if the term Stan will be reclaimed. This was all just me brainstorming kind of off the top of my head.
Sorry this took me so long to respond. I was getting tired of the fandom talk too. It felt more like a disclaimer every time I wanted to express something I found wrong with it. But, honestly I'm glad I waited because I think I needed the break.
