toji being all bundled up in his winter coat with a pretty green scarf around his neck (that you gifted him btw). his nose is red and his cheeks even redder as he taps his foot on the crunchy snow. he's waiting for you.

with his hands stuffed into his pockets, he hides from the cold bite while eyeing the passersby with furrowed brows, and even though the scarf hides the lower half of his face, you know he's wearing a sort of scowl. it's closer to a pout more than anything, but you won't mention it. his ears perk up at the sound of your voice calling his name and you feel warm at the sight of his face lighting up just a bit. it's cute. it's cute that he's so excited to see you.

he meets you halfway, his hands reaching for you as you close the distance between you. it's a quiet greeting, a very simple 'hi' accompanied by his scarred lips pressing against your temple as you hug him. in his arms, you feel safe. you feel at home. when he pulls away, he takes a second to look at you – the stars in your eyes, the bashful smile on your lips. toji thinks you look pretty as ever.

but his cute little daydream doesn't last.

a gasp makes its way out of the depths of his throat the second your hands cup his face, your frozen fingers sending shivers down his back.

the look on his face makes you giggle and the sound makes him furrow his brows again in return. he clicks his tongue. "you'll freeze to death."

"you'll save me."

he shakes his head with a sigh but takes your hands into his nonetheless. while keeping his, now very determined, eyes on your fingers, he brings them up to his face and gently blows warm air on them.

you hum. "my saviour."

the tips of his ears burn – his nose, his cheeks, but surely it's just because of the cold and because of his teasing lover. surely.

you see the grin he's so desperately trying to hold back and laugh at him once more. "my hero."

he grumbles. "be quiet."

he's still holding your hands, he's still warming them up. there isn't even an inkling of thought about letting you go, about letting your poor little fingers freeze. he will hold onto you for the entirety of the walk that's ahead of you. so he can keep you warm. and not because he so desperately wants to hold your fucking hand. it's not that. no way.

you lean up your toes while intertwining your fingers with his, and with no questions asked, he bends over to close the gap between you again. this is how it works. love.

a pair of cold lips meet the tip of his nose and toji lets his eyes fall shut at the sweet touch. he lets out a relieved sigh, a content one, and savours the way you smile against him. a kiss, and then another. a haste one to his lips before pulling back with that very same grin on your face that he adores so much. the kind of playful one, the one that tells him that you're going to be throw snowballs at him very soon. he loves it.

"are you going to get hot chocolate with me today, toji?"

he lets your glued together hands fall, only for you to start swinging them side to side. he doesn't tell you to stop.

after Fíli is weaned and Kíli is born, Dís and her husband have a hard time, since Kíli is a very restless baby. To give them some more breathing room, little Fíli spends the next few years in a sling tied around Thorin's chest and accompanies him everywhere. Thorin is more than a little sad, when this time ends, but fortunately soon Kíli is weaned and then Thorin gets to carry him around everywhere

he goes into crisis mode whenever one of the lads coughs more than once (fortunately Óin is very patient)

He manages to keep this from you for quite some time until one night he hears the light pattern of your feet across the hardwood floors reaching quickly to turn the tv off and attend to you, but it’s too late. how excited is megumi about planning his wedding?

i think megumi would think he doesn't care about the planning in the beginning. as long as you're happy, so is he. besides, it's just food and color schemes, right? he doesn't care about allat. he just wants to marry you.

and then his pesky friends get in the way... showing you swatches of the most god awful colors, sending you pinterest boards of aesthetics he could hardly stomach to look at... don't get him started on yuuji suggesting a build your own taco table.... absolutely not!

but you're so kind, hearing out all their wildest ideas because you value their friendship therefore you value their imaginations! so megumi just keeps his hand secure over his mouth in the hopes that it hides his disgust with every horrible idea they bring up, all the while you smile and nod and tack on a thoughtful 'maybe...' to every idea.

as soon as he gets you alone it all comes spilling out. how he refuses to marry you surrounded by an outdated coral pink, or fake snow, and god forbid you write the other person's vows- he's had his drafted for the last three years! there would be no room at your wedding for zany pranks. it was supposed to be romantic, not a comedy show.

and just as respectful as you were to itadori and nobara, you hear him out for the entirety of his rant. if you weren't sure of his opinion on a taco buffet before, you certainly are now. about halfway through you've gotten the gist of what he's saying, but your patience is bountiful and you wait until megumi has gotten it all off his chest.

he finishes his list of complaints with a huff, and once you're sure the floodgates are closed again, you lean over to give him a quick peck of a kiss.

"if you want to be more involved in the planning, 'gumi, all you had to do was say so," you tell him with that sweet, knowing look in your eyes. the one that always makes the tips of his ears flush pink, even after all the years of being with you. "and trust my taste a little, won't you? did you really think i'd let there be dry ice at my wedding?" you tease, while still wondering why yuuji thought a smoky ceremony seemed like a good idea.

"you're right," he sighs, relaxing just a little. "i want to be more involved"

"that's great," you beam back at him. "i'll show you the binder when we're home, then"

"binder?"

"it's color coded and alphabetized"

"there's that much?" megumi's hesitance returns upon thinking through what he's just agreed to. will he still have time to exorcize curses if he dives into wedding planning with you?

"gojo is funding it, isn't he?"

"good point," he mumbles. "maybe... we can talk about the doves, then"

honestly, and this is coming from a Wheatley enjoyer here, methinks some people in the fandom either forget or consciously suppress the fact that he has an undeniable egotistical and self-serving streak to him that's prominent even before he gets put in the GLaDOS Chassis. Like, let's be honest, when he broke Chell out and assisted her he was in it for himself at least PARTIALLY, and personally I think initiating a core transfer was at least slightly motivated by his desire to retaliate after GLaDOS crushed him like a tin can and tossed him away. He was very clearly enjoying himself as he carved her head up to stuff into a potato. He also like.. blatantly has bottled up resentment towards Chell that he lets pour out after he secured his spot on the Chassis.

I feel like part of the tragedy to it is that a healthy dynamic between him and Chell is literally physically impossible because he only pauses to reflect on his own actions after he has been tossed out into space. Even if he was detached without being sent out into orbit he would be immediately tortured by GLaDOS while Chell is sent to the surface with her Companion Cube. The Companion Cube is quite literally the only object within Aperture that provided Chell with companionship without expecting anything from her in return. Wheatley had her running around sabotaging equipment to further his own plans - the game quite literally makes a point about this during his boss fight, when he rants and raves how in reality he's the one who's been bossed around. He's quite literally spent his entire existence as an object used and passed around from odd job to odd job by Aperture's staff, and unfortunately for Chell she's the only human being left that he can finally take his anger out on.

Let's be honest, much like GLaDOS, Wheatley isn't a good person - that doesn't mean he can't become one, but the whole point of the ending is that that ship has sadly sailed for him, he can't apologize to Chell, leaving him with nothing but an eternity of self-reflection as he floats among the stars. He was designed to be stupid, and that's all that was expected of him. And he only begins to see his own flaws when he's stuck in an environment where he is physically incapable of making stupid decisions.

honestly it’s hard to imagine dean being a subtop with men, much less a bottom. his interactions with women and men are vastly different (also it should be taken into account that he’s straight and likely homophobic in canon). i do think the reason why it’s a majorly accepted headcanon that he’d be the ultimate subby bottom with women and men is because his violent side & craving for control are mostly ignored by the fandom. actually it’s quite realistic for him to prefer to let women take the lead because he canonically finds fem doms hot but also it has a lot to do with his mother dying very early on, he needs to find some sort of comfort from a woman that he didn’t ever find with his mother. sex with men would be very likely the opposite (especially when it comes to fucking his little brother whom he wants to possess). canon dean is mostly violent with other men, so it’d be about letting out his repressed violent tendencies and establishing control. also one thing that usually gets overlooked by the fandom is the fact that he enjoyed being a torturer in hell. he enjoyed being in control (the fact that it was physical control is very meaningful too) and he enjoyed inflicting pain on others. it’d make sense for him to seek that feeling in sex too. but not with women, for the reasons above. in general, for dean sex with women is mostly about finding comfort. sex with men (if he ever was to sleep with them in the first place) on the contrary, would be about releasing his inner violence and enjoyment of being in control
