Eyyy it's been a while since I've requested anything, and since I'm back to my JJK brain rot how about a good old request for my favorite dead divorced gay couple?(how are we copin', manga readers?)

So idk if you've ever seen or heard of the "Missing Halloween" animation on YouTube, BUT--

What if satosugu found out that Reader(who they were very close with) was actually the spirit of an past special grade student that died in a mission by the hands of curse users (maybe they raided the school or something, idk it's like- 1AM in here my brain will not remember all the shit that happens in the JJK lore to make a coherent plot point) and now just roams around near the school, and that explains why everyone just seemingly ignored Reader's presence completely and gave the three weird looks whenever they hung out together. Also I like to think that these two idiots found out about reader's situation after fooling around during detention and accidentally tripping on some dusty old boxes that had some old stuff in it, finding one of those group school year pics from when Yaba was the boys' age and Reader was also in the pic from when they were still alive.

In much simpler words, Satosugu x ghost!reader that they didn't knew was a ghost until they found a picture of Reader's academic years.

Being a ghost is interesting, to put it simply.

You get to see things you never got the chance to when you were alive, like the top of Mount Fuji and the vast streets of Shibuya. Sure, you missed what it was like to eat your favorite food or speak to people, but it's the price you have to pay for your naivety.

You thought you'd be alone, wandering the hallways of Jujutsu High forever until they came.

Geto Suguru and Gojo Satoru.

The strongest sorcerers in the modern era.

Shock is an emotion you haven't felt since your death, but you feel it again when you notice that those two can not only see but touch you.

It's an odd feeling. Having someone touch your skin after years (it's only been two) of being dead. Weird, but nice.

"Suguru, back me up here!" Satoru whines, holding his friend by his shoulders and shaking him back and forth.

You and Satoru were arguing about which ice cream flavor was the best. Granted, you haven't had ice cream —or any food for that matter— in a long time, but there was no way you would let Satoru get away with saying Birthday Cake.

"This is your argument, and I like Vanilla." Suguru shrugs and the betrayed look on Satoru's face causes you to giggle.

Satoru turns to face you, chest out and voice boisterous. "Well, [Name], since we can't agree, I guess that means we'll have to go to an ice cream store to find out!

Suguru's face turns blank. "Where in that argument did going to an ice cream place happen?"

"Right now, duh." You huff, rolling your eyes dramatically.

"No, guys, I don't have money, and I'm not taking you dumbasses to an ice cream place at this hour." Suguru's voice is stern; like there's no room for back-and-forth bickering.

You three were now at a small ice cream shop a few minutes away from Jujutsu High.

You tried not to talk to Suguru and Satoru much, so to bystanders it wouldn't look like they were talking to literal air, but they didn't get the hint and kept talking to you anyway.

Sometimes you wonder if they even know you're a ghost.

The way Satoru uses you as a headrest (you're putting spiders in his bed tonight) and how Suguru tends to maintain eye contact when he talks to you (earning a couple of odd stares from some in the store), you’re 99.9% sure they think you’re a real person.

Which you are, obviously, but you’re only technically real to them. Why that is, you aren’t exactly sure yourself.

Before you three get to the counter, you make up a fake excuse of having to use the bathroom. You tell them the flavor you want, make sure Satoru doesn’t do anything weird, and order the flavor with the most sugar (you aren’t 100% sure if you can even eat but it’s worth trying) before you excuse yourself.

You make your way to the roof, sitting on the edge and looking out into the city. It’s calming.

You’ve always enjoyed how relaxing it was to be able to see people going about their lives, the soft breeze sounding through your ears accompanied by the smell of ice cream and bread from nearby stores.

It’s nice.

From the corner of your eye, you spot Suguru and Satoru sitting at an outside table. They were talking amongst each other as they presumably waited for you, an empty spot only held by a cup of ice cream filled with your favorite flavor.

You drop down at the back of the store, brushing the dust off your body and making your way to where Suguru and Satoru are sitting.

“Jeez! Took you long enough.” Satoru rolls his eyes and immediately starts eating his ice cream.

Suguru rolls his eyes. His posture is the same as always, a man spread and his arms crossed only breaking whenever he needs to eat his ice cream as well.

Huffing, you kick Satoru underneath the table. Blowing a raspberry before taking a bite of the ice cream.

Good news, you can eat.

Bad news, you don’t taste a single thing.

Well… they don’t need to know that. They’re having fun, your inability to taste shouldn’t spoil that for them.

“Satoru, Yaga’s going to kill us if he finds us, you know?” Suguru huffs, keeping watch as Satoru looks through the yearbook of past students in Jujutsu High.

“Oh, hush!” Satoru kicks him in the knee, gasping when he finds a book tucked away behind several (thankfully sleeping) cursed corpses.

Satoru grins. “Found one.”

Suguru takes one final glance at the hallway before turning to see what Satoru dragged him here for in the dead of night (or early in the morning depending on the way you look at it).

They flip through the yearbook, snickering when they see what Yaga looked like two years ago. His buzz is shorter — if that’s even possible — but he still has his stone-cold resting face.

They make it to the back of the book, where there’s a special section dedicated to students who died before the year is over.

Really, Satoru was looking for what [Name] looked like when he was younger. He’s suspected you were older than the two of them since he never sees you during school.

“Satoru… is– is that…?” Suguru’s voice is weary as his finger points at a photo of some dude he recognizes.

A boy he recognizes.

It’s your picture, you look the same as you do now. “What’s he doing here? We see him all the time– right Suguru?”

Suguru pales. “Is that why Shoko calls us crazy? [Name] isn’t alive—”

“Yes, he is!” Satoru almost yells. The book drops from his hands with a thump! small colors of blue peeking out from the bottom of his sunglasses.

“We can touch him, we can see him!” Satoru stomps his foot. “How is that possible if he’s dead, huh?!”

“He might be a cursed sp—”

“Then the curse alarm would’ve sounded!” Satoru’s voice sounds like it’s tethering over an edge. He’s confused– he’s known [Name] for as long as his first year, you, him, and Suguru are inseparable so why can Suguru accept the fact that you’re (supposedly) dead?!

“Let’s ask him then, is that okay?” Suguru puts his hand directly on Satoru’s shoulder, moving his thumb slightly for comfort.

The albino takes a deep breath to calm himself. He shouldn’t be mad at Suguru, he loves Suguru.

So, he does what Suguru says. He lets Suguru lead the way to where they found you the first time. Close to the artifact warehouse but closer to the forest that surrounds Jujutsu High.

You’re there. Sitting on the grass as you stare longingly at a bird.

The sound of rocks crunching under their feet must give them away because in a second you lock eyes with Suguru, a soft smile on your face.

“Suguru!” Your voice is warm– comforting even. “What are you guys doing here? Aren’t you guys breaking curfew?”

“Are you dead?”

Satoru’s blunt question causes your body to freeze. He sounds angry. Maybe it’s because you didn’t tell them that you were a ghost, and they somehow found out themselves.

You weren’t all that popular when you were alive. You were an adequate sorcerer with mediocre abilities. Nothing that puts you out there– not like the two in front of you anyway.

“Y-Yeah?” You avert your eyes sheepishly. “I mean, I died a few years ago so—”

“Why didn’t you tell us anything?” Satoru cuts you off, the hand still holding Suguru’s tightens slightly.

Why didn’t you tell them? Because they’d stop hanging out with you? Were you scared you’d lose the only people who know you’re still technically here?

Because you’re bound to this school and have only ever left because your attachment somehow shifted to Satoru and Suguru.

Ah, that’s why.

You were scared to be left alone. That’s why every time you could, you’d rush over to where they were. Engage in conversation with them, and do mildly illegal things with them because they make you feel wanted.

“I guess… I was scared you two would stop hanging out with me..?” You let out a laugh even though nothing is funny. “You two are the only people who know I still exist, so I thought if you figured out I was a ghost…”

“— that we’d stop talking to you altogether?” Suguru finishes for you and you can’t help but nod.

“That’s stupid! We fight curses, why do you think being a ghost is going to stop anything?!” Satoru grabs you by the shoulder. You’re sure his grip hurts, but you can’t exactly feel pain anymore.

“Yeah, I know…” Your hand touches Satoru’s forearm. “Now that you know… it doesn’t change anything between us… right?”

The longer the silence stretches the more anxiety swallows you whole. If they stop talking to you or start avoiding you, you aren’t sure what you’ll be bound to.

Maybe that spot by the artifact warehouse. You’ll be forced to stay there– alone, with no one to talk to, no one to make you feel alive.

“Of course, not.” Suguru’s voice is warm, it makes something well up in your eyes.

“Sure, it might be weird since sorcerers can’t see you, but you’re our friend. You just have to promise not to keep life-altering secrets from us. Right, Satoru?”

Satoru huffs, crossing his arms and rolling his eyes. “You owe me, stupid ghost boy!”

A smile stretches across your face and you’re unaware of the warmth rolling down your cheeks. “I’m glad.”

You won’t be alone.

You’ll be able to talk to them, now that they know your biggest secret.

You’ll have Satoru and Suguru, and they’ll have you.

Maybe being dead– or being a ghost isn’t so bad after all.

I played more SOTE today!! I have mixed feelings because today just happened to be pure RAGE because of my awful skill issue.. but at the same time I feel so ALIVE xD (two parter)

1) So first of all, I got back to Specimen Storehouse to finish whatever was that business with Ansbach and Freyja! She gave an interesting dialogue about how yeah honor and shit but what Radahn would actually like is to live so he could wage war forever 💀 Definitely the character of all time gghguj

2) So I decided to explore a little more of that Church District below before I continue to seek my way to upper area! Turned out that Tree Spirit did NOT die due to a bug..... but it did now. XD

And dropped edgy (literally) sorcery lol

3) NEW NAMED CHARACTER!!!!!!!

Yeah, I've been noticing that this area has Fire Knights with another variant of the head piece! I even had an idea to grind these guys for it, but I just felt as thought it'd be pointless. And I was right! This mask dropped from non-respawning enemy! So yeah, the fire zombies raising in this area were given lore, I was pleased by such amount to detail yet again 🤔

4) So I kept looking for the way back in the Storehouse, but took the turn I did NOT try to take, and ended up in that weird golden-black area on the map that has been making me curious for a while!

5) ....ъ_ъ So, I was running around, surprised by how empty it was, and even questioned whether it was pointless sort of? So I decided to just check the giant flower and.. ..... oh my fuuUCKING God.

6) So it was another time where I kept howling about how awful/unfair/hard/etc this battle was and wanted to quit except I didn't! You see, at first I was playing as usual, and the stage 2 was a surprise. But the LEVEL of my skill issue started to show up at its finest here, because I absolutely could not dodge its briars attacks and I barely managed to heal in time!

I had to die MANY times, learning from my mistakes and just trials what to do and slowly adapting.. You see, it SHOULD have been obvious that hitting the "face" was the most effective, but nope! I only figured many attempts later! Just as how """pointless""" critical hit before phase transition was not pointless at all! At least I learned to 1) block strike attack and roll magic attack 2) that I can't use magic so it'd be better to place all 14 flasks at Crimson 3) figured to summon mimic in a creative way; since it gets summoned in the equipment I had at THE moment of summon but AI can't be trusted with blocking normally, I summoned it while two-handing the weapon so it hits stronger and then got my shield back XD

7) .........

I swear, sometimes I regret not being able to stream, because y'all should have seen my reaction when it turned out that this enemy had THREE stages, not two...... :')

8) I actually died just just JUST the very last moment ;-; I screenshotted it, it is on PS for now, it was SOOO infuriating. I can't even explain how I resisted the urge to scream and throw my controller because that required inhumane willpower. But hell if I didn't feel ALIVE at that moment xD

9) AND I KILLED IT EVENTUALLY FGFGCGGB

^ Got genuinely surprised by this drop!

10) I came back at Storehouse, FINALLY, and THIS TRAITOR @val-of-the-north IS NO LONGER MY FRIEND!!!!1

I asked him about this symbol being here since as I said earlier, I assumed that the reoccurring symbol with a fire and a circle on flags and such found here and there represented Messmer and Rellana; an impression I've got because I first saw it in her castle!

....but then Val, this RAT, casually said that it is actually likely another symbol of Messmer: snakes rather than fire. And of course. God of course it makes much more sense. It is all over this Storehouse. Yes we found a shield Rellana used for the ritual to prove loyalty to the Erdtree once here, but the overlapping circles straight up coil like snakes. And yet you TRAITOR never corrected me when I wrongly assumed that the symbol of fire + two circles overlapping meant Messmer and Rellana being allies. Goddamit STOP LETTING ME LOOK STUPID ON PUBLIC *bonks you with the newspaper*

11) So after some running and collecting (got a golden spell that some Fire Knights use), I've found my way out and first ran into some really strong knight that used GRAVITY MAGIC! I attempted to fight him but like, no. Nope. So I left him for later, and Val recommended me to use 'O, Mother' gesture to finally open the secret passage to where I was actually looking.

12) And hoooo boy... I already suspected where this was going because even on the map there were depictions of Golden leaves (on the Finger Ruins) part.

It was THE spoilered area itself!

13) What instantly struck me was that I could SWEAR it had to be the exact same flowers as on the painting of 'healthy' Midra Manse. I did not have a good image as I hit it early by a mistake, so I asked Val to fetch me the image, annnnd....

Look, sure, it could simply be blue curtains and obviously just a 'normal' flora of this realm, so of course it still exists in THE one place Messmer didn't burn, but dead everywhere else. (Here because of Frenzy + no sunlight). But also Hornsent Inquisitors did bully Midra and his followers (which did lead to Frenzied Flame business), and Ymir mentioned something about Marika's roots being placed in madness? Who the hell knows anymore...

14) NOOOOO WAY, WHEN YOU GET TO THIS POINT, A FRAGMENT OF THEME OF MARIKA/RADAGON STARTS PLAYING ;-;

THE IMPACT

15) Definitely visiting this place by myself felt more impactful than simply reading/watching this part of the lore..

16) I got SO angry at the Tree Sentinel though that for the first time EVER I decided to try and fight while on Torrent! And it was so effective that it gave me an idea to not follow further today but go and get that boss' ass from earlier like this! Which was the start of a big waste of time, but perhaps I am getting ahead of myself.. -_-

my interpretation of Vignette by Twenty One Pilots.

I googled the meaning of this song and made me think a lot about the lyrics so I need to get my thoughts out. (keep in mind I know none of the Clancy lore.) Google said this song is about drug addiction (idk if that's accurate) sooo tw I think?

"not sure when it started- peeling from his bones- piece it back together all alone."

not sure when the addiction really started. idk abt the other lines. I was thinking the feeling of whatever addiction and coming down from it eventually.

"hope it held together long enough for he- to pitch the greener grasses and hope that she would agree"

tbh I have no idea.

"fresh off a binger in the woods, flesh covered in bites- testing what is real, what is good, man- it's been a long night."

it says clearly, fresh off of binging drugs in the woods. getting eaten by bugs. this person is testing what is really there and happening, or double checking, as the drug wears off.

"it's a tribute to zombies- of which I've become."

they abused these drugs so much, they act like a zombie sober. a tribute to zombies is a tribute to all the other people suffering or overcoming addiction.

"where do I go from here?- where do I go from here?"

they don't know where to turn or who to turn to while fighting addiction.

"clinging to promises- fighting off the vignette."

everyone is clinging to their promises of getting over addiction. I think the "vignette" they're fighting is the addiction itself or the drugs kicking in.

"tunnels cave, visions fade- swallowed by the vignette."

they have caved and are doing the drug. their vision is fading and they're swallowed by the drug or the addiction itself.

"he's thinking, "There's no way I'm headed there""

I immediately think of rehab. they don't think they need rehab.

how they used to be before drugs, then after.

I’m watching “Voltron: Legendary Defender” for the first time and these are my compiled thoughts.

This is Season 3

(Edit: apparently I can only put 10 pictures per post, so while I planned for this to be season 3 and 4, this has to be a solo season post because I have wayyyy too many thoughts and a lot of them need accompanying pictures)

Pre-Season 3

-> I wonder who is gonna be the new black paladin, I hope it’s Allura. Or Keith I guess, but his ass is NOT ready for leadership

-> I need to know where Shiro is. Bring back my Cruella Deville!

-> the witch is altean! This is gonna be sooo important I just know it

-> I wonder how Allura and Keith will interact now that she sorta accepted him being part galra. that’s actually a really interesting topic.

->Keith being galra is gonna be something very important as well I think.

-> Pidge BETTER find her brother and father this season or I swear Dreamworks is gonna catch these hands

Post-Season 3

-> ^if villain why hot?

->^Once again have to talk about Allura and her dad. She already threw away all her dad’s memories and his “essence” of him. Now she can’t even stay connected to him by piloting his lion ☹️. I genuinely get so sad every time I think about her. 🙁 All I do at 3 am is cry. 😕

->I originally got super sad about that, but then she became the blue one and I was really happy. But I was reallyyyy confused about the schematics of the switches. (still kinda am) like the lions don’t fit their personalities. And isn’t it the point that they get chosen for a reason?? Like when the blue one chose Lance in s1? And the red one chose Kieth, etc. ?? I guess it makes sense for them to call on other paladins when Shiro “dies” (his ass is not dead, I’m 100% sure of that) but Allura fits Black/Red better imo.

-> But then again, I did like how it was executed/explained. “Oh Lance ur the new red one cus you accepted Keith as ur leader and now you have to be the right hand. Get it cus red is Voltron’s right arm??” like yeah. And of course:

->^Allurance!! I finally see it, now.

-> Also, my supposed question about “langst” was proven wrong, there’s more than just the “seventh wheel” episode.

“Not only am I not meant to be the leader, I guess… I guess now I’m not even meant to be a paladin”

He is really insecure about that isn’t he? Does any of this ever get resolved??

-> this season was huge for klance apparently. They have so many moments together. When they get dragged by evil elsa Lotor to that weird planet and have their lions talk face to face, the shoulder touch, them seeking each other out for/being the first to give the other comfort/reassurance, “Leave the math to Pidge” , Lance being the most upset that Keith isn’t at the parade thing, their teamwork in “Tailing a Comet”, “Yeah, who am I gonna make fun of?”

You guys just kept winning this season honestly slay.

-> The Lore drop that Coran did about the creation of Voltron/Original Paladins. Bro

->I’m still hung up on that. Honerva I could have saved you.

-> Gotta say though im all for an evil couple.

-> I loved all the S1 call backs to the original paladins “I’m a leg!” Like yeah 🩷 you are 💛 and the og blue paladin does the “lance in the intro” thing

->^When they form Voltron for the first time in the flashback, the colors are brighter, much like the original 80s show’s colors, and the captions later read “Defender of the Universe”, which was the name of the original Voltron show. This is an especially fun detail because not only are they honoring the “original paladins/voltron” of the show’s lore, they are also doing so in reference to the original show itself, which I think is all so beautiful

->Baby Allura is soooo cute!

-> We get Shiro back! I knew he wasn’t dead. Low key I was scared he lost another arm or something but no! He’s okay 🖤🤍

-> I did some research and it turns out he is in fact 25, I don’t know whether to be happier or sadder for him. On one hand, thank fuck he’s not like 15-17 like the others, on the other hand, he should be at the club. He should be finding love, he should be at his 9-5 paying taxes and doing laundry not having his arm chopped off and replaced with magic and having to fight in the space coliseum and then escaping and having to pilot a giant robot and be a part of an intergalactic war. (I suppose that last part is true for all of them, but the rest is shiro-specific, and it all makes me a little sad)

-> call me crazy but he looked hotter when his hair was long

-> on that note, WHERE did he find a razor. Did he just use a sword or something?? Like in mulan??

-> in “Tailing a Comet”, they apparently meet alternate space reality!Kuvira from atla:lok , and ASR!Bataar Jr. I mean, really, down to the bun and the mole, as well as the controlling dictatorship-esque behavior and the “really, this is actually for their own good” attitude when it comes to said controlling behavior. Did the writers of each show just share ideas or??

-> im so serious with that last question. The thing that came out of the “quintessence rift” that the original paladins had to fight? A dark spirit from LoK: Book 2: Spirits. Whatever tf happened to zarkon when he got too close? When Unalaq got possessed by Vaatu. I mean really, were they just passing cards like go fish?

->I genuinely cried when Keith left for the Blade of Marmora (to save time, I’m gonna start calling them the “Blades” or “BOM”)

-> however, I feel like him leaving for the blades is gonna be really plot relevant later on

-> I think that’s when S3 ended im pretty sure. I don’t have further thoughts other than those I could’ve discussed if I could upload enough pictures for my S4 thoughts that accompanied them.

These are thoughts I’ve had compiled for a while. I finished S3 on 06/26/24 and S4 on 06/30/24. As of today (07/3/24) I am on S5E3.

oh man i absolutely hate it. i've done a whole massive rant on it on my discord but i'll try to summarize it in a more logical way LOL

so for one, it is entirely unnecessary and kind of retroactively ruins the 4th game's impact. the nightmares don't NEED some kind of scientific logical explanation? nightmare is in their name, they're nightmares that aren't real. it should be self-explanatory and i'm not sure why it was thought that they needed to be explained (especially when there's illusion discs right there if they really wanted an explanation that badly) but it's kind of been an issue with fnaf for a long time - all the paranormal stuff is just gone for some reason, and i don't understand what the need is for everything to be sci-fi??? i heard someone else say this, but fear of the unknown is very much a real thing. and it stops being scary when it's overexplained and reduced to some random science experiment.

and then there's what they did to william. i don't know who wrote dittophobia but there is no way in hell they understand or even care about his character, or maybe they straight up hate him. like yes, we've established he's a villain and kills children. but kidnapping? experimenting? FEAR GAS? what does this actually add to his character? it's like they're just trying to make him as evil as possible without any regard for 1. what actually makes an interesting villain and 2. how he's actually portrayed! he loved kids, why the hell else would he agree to open fredbear's? even in the books he supposedly put the kids to sleep before killing them so they didn't feel it, so EVEN WITH how he's portrayed in the books i don't think he would do that kind of thing!

i feel like this kind of goes with all the villains in the fnaf series at this point (william, vanny, mimic): all of their potential is constantly getting squandered. you saw how hard they had to backpedal on william being burntrap, and how vanny was hardly even a threat, and mimic came outta nowhere if you didn't read the books (which most people don't). i feel like at its core fnaf is a tragedy, not some goofy ahh sci-fi shit. william COULD be a tragic villain, a guy who lost his marbles after his kids died, and i feel like that's really the best angle to take for his character! but most of all - they've kind of turned william's character into a joke at this point. he's not a threat, he's just fucking ridiculous because how can you take him seriously if he's just a one-note pure-evil villain in a cartoonishly goofy and over the top mad scientist way who's just evil for the hell of it!

and then there's the fact that there isn't even a mention of other already existing characters. who the fuck is rory?? where's CC and michael? why the hell is it implied william purposefully made the bite of 83 happen but then there was no mention of CC or michael. like at some point you have to wonder if whoever is writing these just straight up hates the main games (because if this isn't supposed to be tied back to the lore… then why is it advertised like that). why are they utilizing william but no one else? could they not come up with a better antagonist, or better yet, leave this unnecessary story out??

one thing that's going to be awful i think is how the fandom perceives this story. i've already seen sooo many awful takes about this story and, in turn, the rest of the lore too. like midnight motorist is just about afton kidnapping kids?? most of the fandom has already hated william but now he's kind of just. even more of a punching bag than before, so good fuckin luck to those of us who actually like him and think he's an interesting character! as well as fnaf 4… it just defeats the purpose of the nightmares as a whole, and they're not nearly as impactful or interesting as they would be if they were either a personification of michael's guilt OR cc's fears.

in my honest opinion there was no reason for this story to be written in the first place. and it's a dumb, convoluted idea. lmao

like WHAT !?!!? there is so much more of a crazy element to breaking da game than im used to, especially when used in the context of a pvp heavy turned lore (more so circumstance and event) based server like it ACTUALLY COMES INTO CONFLICT RAHH we r usually just a bunch of gamers sitting around in little test servers (i was more so an in-game code guy rather than an exploit guy, im basing all my inner technical knowledge on what my friends r thinking from the context ive shown them)

im SOOO interested in how the characters play out here, like with the tyrant groupchat and some of the key players in there (pangi, reddoons, planet, SPEPTICLE !?) and how THEY were the ones supposedly getting big power

i think planet knows a lot more about what's going on than what vitalasy thinks (i have a theory that planet's trust barrier was given by spoke, maybe it couldve been given by vitalasy to more so keep him quiet? but ive been brain rotting over a planet and spoke team up so im mad biased) and spoke is much more of a leaker than i thought! he is definitely one of the least secretive members about all dis and whatnot, but his ideals are geared towards fun fun for every1 (himself)

also vi is showing phase 2 rn this is going to be FUCKING INSANE ! im soo sosoooososososo exited omhgg kicking my legs laying on my stomach twirling my hair and drawing hearts and stars around the word exploit in glitter gel pen and giggling

this has been SUCH an interesting season im still stunned by stream viewers who say s3 was the best but maybe im a nerd whatavar whatavar ....

i am going to rant and you are going to listen to me >_( hahahahaha muahhahaha but s4 has been so new and interesting from the START. those two main groups forming at the village and the outpost and their outliers was the domino effect of extremes. im on red's side here when he said that that was the main catalyst for WHY duality duo went to the lengths they did, and how THAT, the moment subz stepped into the end to see the main island completely wiped was SUCH a crucial moment to the rest of s4 development

that was the known start. that's what, to everyone else, was the beginning of consequence

but now, there's the added factor of the plan before s4, but these extremes were needed to make a reason to use these exploits in an interesting way. yeah okay, leviathan is not a threat anymore. TO US THOUGH!!!! ONLY TO US!!! because we know everything, we know what's going on and leviathan has NO IDEA what they're in for, but what does terrain, leo, ANYONE ELSE think about them? Are they scared? probably !

but seeing this as a viewer.... a watcher haha of everything we KNOW a FRACTION of how much danger everyone is in. we dont know to WHAT EXTENT !!!!! HOLY MYSTERY !!!!! im so so so excited to see how they use this

we saw how jepex and mapic and spoke used it in jepex's latest video, but they have MORE INFORMATION SINCE THEN !!! AND INFORMATION THEY DIDNT REVEAL !!!! vitalasy is SO FUCKIGN AWESOME. SOOO COOL.

ok here's the spoilery thoughts now, don't read if you haven't seen the show yet

my main problem with nocturne, at least for its first season, is the writing is a bit off. its not as like. connective as the first couple seasons of the 2017 show were. like, the beginning beginning of the first episode was a solid setup for what richter has to do, i can appreciate that. and obviously i dont mind some breakaways from the source material in an adaptation. i mean, you can't keep bringing back dracula For Every Adaptation or else it starts getting old. there are other vampires, i understand the need to setup new villains

but also. Some of the new stuff they introduce in nocturne was pretty weak imo. the first show took the bones of dracula's curse & other snippets of castlevania lore together into a really good, mostly strong show in my opinion. and nocturne season 1 is so far working with connecting the tissues and bones of rondo of blood and symphony of the night while working on new stuff... and the results turned out mid???

like take edouard for instance. i feel like his character was quickly wasted one episode after his introduction when they killed him off. like, i barely knew anything about him other than that he's an acquaintance of annette and that he sings. he can also fight, but he doesn't have any magical abilities like anybody else in the group. and that's fine, but when he dies, i really didn't feel anything for him. i didn't get too much out of him, i really didn't connect with him all that well

and then the next episode, while the group is mourning his death, annette goes into her backstory & how she met up with edouard. we got a lil more out of him, like he's an opera singer (why he sings), how she met up with him (annette was a slave and was running away from her slave owner, who was a vampire??? and apparently all slave owners back then were vampires???? thats. like i get theyre racist towards humans, but slave owners??? but the point is she ran into him during a performance and he helped her out), and that he's gay (in the most voltron way possible. like, before they both left together to meet up with richter, he looks back at another guy he was talking too, she said "it's alright, we'll meet up back with him later", and the implication there is that the guy is edouards boyfriend or whatever. we dont even know his name btw, and he also just died the last episode)

what i'm basically getting at is, for the first half of the show, i really tried to get sucked into the cast, and it was kindof hard because i really didnt connect with them. i get where the story was trying to go, but i didnt get the bonds as much. there were moments where i said to myself "man, i miss syhpa & trevor and alucard, i missed what they had" & "they're trying sooo hard for richter to be like a younger, optimistic version of trevor, and i dont think its really working"

LIKE richter im fine with. i think they mostly adapted him pretty well, especially by making him a lil more inexperienced and a lil cocky. maria's also fine too, although i would've loved to get more character out of her from her interactions with richter besides shouting about the revolution, which i get because its the setting for this show

annette was. a lil hard to connect to. AND TBF this is because im white, im not supposed to relate to her struggles because she's black, but i can understand them. she's more brash and emotional and reactive, and that's fine, i was surprised with how quickly she went over her arc in like. the first season??? the gang of the 2017 show went through their arcs over the course of various seasons, but really??? in like 4 episodes??? im sure the writers must have more for her to do in season 2 and beyond, right???

and i'll be real with you. when i first heard of erzsebet, i wasnt really intimidated by her. she just. didn't have any stage presence at all compared to dracula or death. and i think it's because for like half this show, they'd rather tell us how threatening and gut wretching she is, when really we don't see any of that at all in the first half. like "ooooo, she's the god of gods, she's a sun eater, ooooo, she likes to torture her victims real slowly rather than outright kill them" but we REALLY don't see her at all in like the first half of the show, nor do we see her do any of that stuff everybody's talking about when she first shows up in like episode 4 or 5. the 2017 show built up their threats properly all through out the show, and even the presence they still had offscreen when they were killed (in dracula's sense). i don't really feel intimidated by any of the antagonists besides olrox, and even then he's like. Actually neutral because he's not at all interested in the villains. and if even he wasn't interested or intimidated by them for more than half the show (as he's someone we saw kill richters mother when richter was 10 and turn into a dragon), then how are we supposed to be intimidated by them???

with that said, i think this show really started to come together to me at episode 4. when night beast edouard is singing, and the two parties meet up and fight each other, it really started to connect. like, wow, this Really feels like a more sophisticated and matured continuation of the last show, an excellent followup. i just dont know Why they took this long to Get Good. and it Really started building up when we saw what erzsebet looked like and her powers growing stronger near the end of the season. that moment where richter regains his magic back and an orchestral cover of bloodlines from rondo of blood was blasting as he blew up vampires surrounding him really got me hyped and excited (Don't Even Get Me Started With How Much I Flapped My Hands With Excitement At The Season Finales Last Two Minutes)

like, when this show is Really Willing To, it has its moments that nearly echo how great the 2017 show was, and i believe this show can get as good if not better than the 2017 show with a second season. i believe it can. i just hope the writers are willing to listen to the audience reviews and improve with a second season, this could be something really great while being separate from the 2017 show (and distant from rondo of blood & sotn, they just. reallly need to play their cards well)

castlevania: nocturne s1 thoughts

so, i just finished the first season of the new castlevania spinoff on netflix, and without going into too much spoilery talk, im gonna give it a "its fine"

if you like angsty teen drama & angsty teen trauma & you liked the first castlevania show, then you might get alot more out of this. just, lower your expectations, and don't expect a 1:1 adaptation of rondo of blood if you love that game. here's hoping netflix renews nocturne for a second season and hopefully improve to the greats heights of the previous show!!!

OG Hamon Crew Headcanons by Yours Truly, Leftside Bonfire

Tagging a few peeps who showed interest, hope you don't mind 👉👈 @theeggcatwizard @its-that-guy-again also @go-dark-turtle cuz it's ur man and @berryvalentine because you appreciate my PB love. Also @bleach-and-a-blowtorch cuz we appreciate Will together.

Okay so.

Firstly, Dire, Will and Straizo were not as serious as you might think. When those 3 started Hamon training, they were about as goofy and Caesar and Joseph. Caesar gets his shenanigans from someone, after all. 👀

Will, of course, took it very seriously and was a dedicated and hard worker, as were the others, but they're young men with a special skill who are bound to play around eventually.

For example, look at Will. He's hopping along the water using hamon, giggling and clearly having a good time even at 50. He's clearly very playful and eccentric. It wouldn't surprise me if the others got in on it, too!

Straizo was the most serious. Will was the most eccentric. Dire was somewhere in the middle. He was very studious, but got roped into shenanigans with Will a lot easier. Straizo was the level headed one who shook his head when Will woke up at 3 am with another plan to try water hopping.

Sometimes the boys would sneak out, too. They can't be perfect all the time. Will was a night owl who got his best ideas at night, and it was one night he just couldn't sleep, so he tried using Hamon to stick to the wall. Needless to say, he found a way to climb and visited Dire and Straizo at their own respective rooms... from outside their windows 3 stories up!

Dire is the himbo of the group. Every group needs a himbo, and he is it. He puts on a very serious face, a lot of the time, but he has his moments. When he does something skillful, he is very proud of himself. In more than just a prideful way, more like a "Hey, cool, I did it!" Type way. After he taught himself Thunder Cross Split Attack, he took great pride in getting both Straizo and Will with it several times.

Dire tried to get Tonpetty with it once. Once. And never again.

None of the boys invented the Hamon breathing mask, but they did watch in its creation and were some of the first to try them out. They looked a lot different and improved over the years, which Straizo actually did participate in.

Will invented his wine technique on accident. It was a genuine moment of, "fuck it, I wanna see if this works." And it did. He showed the others and they thought it was weird.

Dire learned how to ballroom dance at a young age, and in his free time, taught the others.

Dire and Straizo were a part of Will's wedding.

Will gets a lot of his energy from sailing. The seas are tough and the people on them are more gruff and brutal, so he had a lot more freedom to be eccentric. This carried over into adulthood, clearly. Even being a distinguished gentleman, he still can't resist a good prank, much like sneezing yourself 20 feet into the air.

Straizo would mainly come out of his shell when intoxicated. On the nights the boys shared their wine, it wouldn't be unusual to see the three leaning on each other, and Straizo with the biggest smile and drunken blush dusting his cheeks.

Since so few people in the world studied Hamon, the group, even the teachers alike, had a very close bond. And while the students had their fun, on occasion, the others would also join in the shenanigans every once in a while. Tonpetty was a lot like Lisa Lisa in his teaching, but it doesn't stop him from laughing at some of the things others come up with.

Will's hat was still a family heirloom. He got it from his father. And it was Speedwagon who made sure Mario Zeppeli got it. It fell back into Speedwagon's hands after Mario died, and Speedwagon once again made sure it was received by Caesar.

And to finish off this round of headcanons (I'm willing to bet there will be MANY more)...

Will was the most skilled of the group. Hamon came very naturally to him. Straizo was second best, though it took far longer. Will was the fast learner, Straizo was best in the long run. Dire wasn't the best. It took him far longer to get the hang of it, though once he figured it out, he was first to start inventing his own techniques and even the trainers were impressed.

Ight so like... I feel really really inclined to make a fic out of Will's training days with some really headcanoned lore.... would anybody actually be interested in reading it? I haven't been in my Harry Potter phase in a long time but this gives a major Marauders vibes and I'm sooo inspired by them right now 👉👈

ooo more lore !! i don't usually use the wiki, i just look through items myself & i don't have those so i wasn't aware :0 wait watch me go on a wiki dive all night now adkhskdhfk. i do have a bit of a theory tho!

2.1 archon quest spoilers //

ok i'm probably gonna look like a clown when i'm proven wrong, but part of me kinda doubts signora's actually dead?? like, she seemed like a pretty major character, and it was so sudden. i know keeping her alive would undercut ei's power, but to be fair she hasn't had the gnosis for awhile, so the musou no hitotachi might not be as strong as it was when she slew orobashi, for example.

at the end, signora didn't use her vision(?) or delusion, opting to reach for ei's gnosis (that's what it looked like to me idk). which makes me think - if she wasn't using her pyro, why did she disintegrate to embers & ash instead of something more indicative of the lightning that killed her? i suppose it could just be a visual reference to how her body is made of liquid flame, but mayyyybe she did activate her pyro abilities at the last second to escape, and that's why her 'death' looked the way it did.

during the battle she seemed to be able to move pretty quickly in a pyro form of sorts, so what if she kinda.. dissolved into embers and disappeared of her own will? maybe she timed it right, or maybe she was hit by the musou no hitotachi - she is based on moths i think which have a sort of cycle of rebirth, and she did enter an ice chrysalis(?) mid-fight. so what if she's recuperating elsewhere in stasis like that, only to be 'reborn' later on in the game? many thoughts rn,,

idk, i'm sure i'm missing some points here, and i'm not rly convinced one way or another myself - i just think it would be cool if we saw more of her somehow hehe. as much as i love the whole 'mc befriends former bad guys they defeat' trope, it was refreshing to see a villain like her imo!

and yess, i've loved watching traveler grow more impatient & testy as the story progresses. altho the scene after signora's fight was.. a bit anticlimactic with my seelie dancing behind me lmao?? everything was dark & glitchy, traveler's silent, paimon's recounting the gruesome tale, and there's mr. bubblegum- "ubwbelbebrbeweb <3" doing flips in the background kdhfkhfsdkf - 🐺

GENSHIN SPOILERS

I mean, it's a possibility ! After all, genshin is supposed to go on for 7+ (10?) years, so any sorts of twists and turns are definitely probably down the line. There were also some leaks a few months ago that,,, kind of ? support this theory, if you squint.

But! Regarding what you said about her reaching for the gnosis, I'm afraid that's not quite possible, since it later gets revealed that it was with Yae, and then later traded to Scaramouche.

But yes!! I deffo do think it's plausible (maybe even possible, if more evidence surfaces over time and with more lore reveals) that she could have dodged a hit. It would be interesting to have that kind of twist to the story, but I do kind of agree that it,,, does put a damper on the Shogun's strong image ? Idk and I feel like some people might consider it a 'cheap' twist, espescially considering the heaviness that befell the traveller (maybe guilt ?? idk, that's how i personally interpret it) during that sort of slow, dark walk out of Tenshukaku. Not to mention how I think that seeing Signora die directly or indirectly because of the traveller's actions is something that I'm interested to see in the future, regarding on how this knowledge might change the travellers attitude towards others, if it'll push them to be more ruthless, or if it would make them a bit more hesitant to fight after they've seen a strong foe like Signora die because of losing the duel to them.

And in a way,,, i don't know, and this is kind of opinionated, but I feel like killing Signora then reviving her would,,, be somewhat unsatisfying ? Because,,, it kinda feels like Genshin is going down a slightly different path now. It's grown a bit heavier and darker with the occurrence of its first on-screen death (and major off-screen death w/ Teppei) and i feel like turning around in the future and saying 'oh! actually this character isn't dead' feels too much like a 'take-back' or like they're backing out of that darker theme, which feels a bit unsatisfactory given that he archon quest has begun to push that sort of narrative, and it's an interesting route to go, considering we've seen the heaviness that meeting their sibling that has (presumably) pushed the sibling into being more direct in wanting to complete their mission (in how, at first, they just wanted to see the shogun, and not get wrapped up in the whole resistance thing) and how angry they got when Teppei died. Personally, 'taking back' something as big as the first character who the traveller is indirectly/directly responsible for killing feels,,, very much like they're just pandering to younger audiences, and i feel like it would be a cheap twist or a disservice to the heaviness that befell the traveller after the fight itself.

but idk thats just my opinion lmao,, wanting her to revive is valid too!! And i deffo agree that is was sooo refreshing to see a villain that was,,, wel, a villain. One without any highlighted redeeming qualities. One that's just bad. It was nice hahha

HAHAHA OKAY… JASPER IS LITERALLY THE MOST COMPLICATED AND CONFUSING OC I HAVE IN TERMS OF LORE

also he uses any pronouns (All of them. every pronoun you can think of. he’s just silly like that) but i’ll mainly be using he/him for him here so it’s less confusing

cw for murder, death, manipulation, toxic relationships, suicide (probably more, tell me if i’m forgetting anything)

like this is the info about him in my google doc (it’s a fucking mess). i’m not sure if it makes sense BUT THAT’S NOT EVEN ALL OF IT

basically the reason there’s a Jasper category is because there’s multiple times throughout the story where he pretends to be a completely different person (but still the same guy), and i kinda view them as different characters because they have different relationships and stuff, but still lead back to the one true Jasper in the end.

i have no idea if this is making any sense,, like Jasper is the One oc i literally avoid talking about to people because i HAD TO MAKE HIS LORE SOOO DAMN CONFUSING but it’s fine!! he’s just extra silly i guess

so basically, when Jasper’s not in his true form, he’s literally an entity that could have taken Any shape Anywhere throughout time and space, and there’s literally no way to know WHO Jasper could be during that time, because he’s a pathological lier (haha black friday reference) and a good actor. so any random person the characters meet COULD possibly be Jasper, and there’d be no way to tell, EXCEPT for a few things: red eyes (signifying the deal with Magnus and that he’s a Lurker (because of more lore stuff i don’t have time to explain here)), a blank book, and like? that’s it? the tendency to be a manipulative prick?

so yeah, on that chart there are 3 other characters connected to Jasper with the grey color (kinda hard to see because it’s so chaotic and the grey kinda blends into the dark green). Blue technically counts, because like,, they’re technically still the same person? but yet they are so COMPLETELY different from each other that i associate them as different characters. Blue was literally just a normal dude but um. a lot of unfortunate things happened to him (the narrative) (also Blue is like,, idk he reminds me of Dew lol. so yeah, yk).

so Blue just basically got corrupted and turned so evil that he’s just too far gone to be considered the same guy (there’s so much more to it but whatever). Anyway, Jasper happened and there’s an infinite amount of his “lives”, but the main ones are “Jasp” and “Jaspa” (both still called “Jasper” but i shorten their names so it’s easier to talk about them).

Jasp is… oof. i don’t even wanna talk about him LMAO ITS SO…… anyway long story short, he was the og jasper i created before all this crazy lore. he was literally just a normal human who died and was the reason Eric met Bea. like when i was 13 i unironically drew super embarrassing Eric x Jasper ship art (toxic yaoi). but when i rewrote his character, Jasp became a but more manipulative but overall still a silly human. so yeah STILL, he really Did just exist purely to make Eric and Bea meet (book Magnus stuff).

Jaspa… so she’s REALLY FUCKED UP. gonna use she/her pronouns for Jaspa just because that’s what i’m used to. so basically when Calvin was trapped in the Abyss (used to be called void realm) (also that’s another long story for another day), Jaspa showed up out of nowhere (as they do), and her entire purpose there was to prevent Calvin from ever escaping. but there was one problem. Onyx. so Onyx is really fucking cool and basically saved Calvin’s life multiple times from Jaspa. and when Calvin’s friends finally came to save him, Jaspa planned to just explode everything and kill Calvin in the process, but Onyx DOES SOMETHING HE THOUGHT WAS IMPOSSIBLE! he teleports Calvin with him to the other part of the Abyss, the place only void creatures like himself are able to enter. so yea. Jaspa caused Calvin’s best friend (Milo) to think he died and it’s suuuper sad for a bit because of that. she was overall super manipulative and yeah tried to kill Calvin countless times.

the main Jasper obviously has done so much more bad stuff, including just killing people for fun and being a menace. he’s constantly fighting the main characters and getting them into danger. he’s also just insane. he just likes killing

and there’s SOOO MUCH MORE about him, like his whole relationship with Louie. i can’t even begin to explain this because it’s overly complicated and confusing time travel stuff but they have LONG history and are the ones to kill each other in the end (not at the same time).

so yeah i could talk about Jasper for HOURSSS, especially the stuff with Bea and Bailey (since they were Blue’s sisters and Jasper still has some of Blue’s memories). also the stuff with Eric. like he had trust issues for a LONG time because of finding out about the Jasp stuff. his bf wasn’t Actally in love with him and lied about EVERYTHING, KILLED PEOPLE, killed himself just Because (so Eric would meet Bea), without caring about the emotional toll this would take on Eric. and another thing, Eric had such a hard time trusting Zephyr at first too, because of his red eyes (vampire), Eric thought he was just another Jasper trying to trick and manipulate him. it’s fucked. (Zephyr isn’t Jasper!! thank god!)

anyway this got so long oops. like i said, there’s so much more to this character but this is the main stuff. he’s made so many enemies because he exists in multiple places at once throughout time and space so yeah. also like, he’s literally The Vessel Of The Void. no i will not elaborate (the most insane fucked up twist u could think of).

Also Nekrotefeyo was criminally underused for the legendary Eridian homeworld like I was expecting like a big abandoned city or a completely decimated apocalyptic place, not a dried up ocean bed (Are they maybe more crustaceans instead (?) of bugs???) with like 2 Eridian buildings on it and also Maliwan for... Some... Reason. Seriously. Dark Maliwan was so clearly cut content and I wanna know wtf that was all about. Also we got Promethea so it isn't like they weren't capable of making a big city area, like the restrictions of the engine wouldn't allow it, they just didn't... Feel like it? Maybe didn't have time to flesh it out given how late nekro is in the game? Seriously it feels empty as fuck, I love exploring the planets, but even as a certified lore lover I just can't bring myself to explore that place more than I have to for quests. It's really empty and boring

Also, I am bet that the big glowing thing we see coming out of the planet as it fragments is related either to the Machine and the souls sacrificed to make it work, or the Guardian soul main storage thingie. Mainly because ghosts and such are real in the bl universe and they're all that same glowing green sort of deal. It also reminds me of Krieg's mind planet projection thing which does add credence to that. That is potentially why Minos Prime 'hatched', it could have been a storage place for other, maybe reject(?) Guardian souls and that's where all the Eridian and Guardian stuff randomly came from that Tannis keeps goddamn repeating every time u play the takedown. FE Minos Prime was a testing site for prototype Guardians and the souls (I don't want to call them mind cores because the mind core we got from the Vault of the Destroyer was solid and not green and don't even get me STARTED on that whole situation because there was cut Overseer dialogue from when you take that thing out of the Vault and why WAS it even in the VAULT OF THE DESTROYER and Hhhhh) were stored in Minos Prime until whoops they got out. And I'm guessing they sacrificed the people of Minos Prime to the Machine (we literally left nobody guarding it sooo) bc Tannis says they just vanished without a trace. Which ALSO adds bonus points to my theory that the Eridians aren't dead and are just chilling elsewhere laughing at us right now.

I still think Lilith brought Elpis to the Eridian Rift on the map Typhon and Leda wrote all over and she's vibing there, too. Maybe it's a sort of stasis place where time doesn't pass so the people of Elpis don't die. Idk how Lilith would know about that but then again given the chest in her room I would honestly not bet against my whole 'Lilith had help from the Watcher and/or the Eridians during/before Bl3 and refused to tell us' which is why she just vanishes at the end of the game and takes Elpis with her.

And also why Sanctuary-III randomly exists when we have never heard of the company that made it before (seriously what is supamax mfg), it's somehow in good enough condition that Moxxi and Ellie could fix it up with their scarce resources, and they found it before any other people did (can probably chalk this one up to Tannis if there were cameras or it was hooked up to the ECHOnet of Pandora, but the other two points stand). I would've been okay with it if it were an Atlas ship Rhys sent over or smth, if it were an old Hyperion ship, if the branding of supamax mfg was Moxxi and Ellie's team effort of making a spaceship company in honor of Scooter- literally if any of these things were explained in-game, but they're NOT. So I am left to go 'what the hell where did this come from what is Supamax MFG' and like, a random company we've never heard of existing is totally fine, we're introduced to the Obsidian Black Block and Hephestus United as well, but it just feels weird that this random supply (?) ship just happened to go to Pandora for some reason and then also crash or was abandoned for some reason. If we could just get a scrap of info on Supamax MFG and why this ship was on Pandora I'd be happy. Their branding is Ships Made Quick so clearly they build ships which is fine.

Did Lilith contact them? If so, cool, could we get an ECHO log of that? Where did she get the money after Sanctuary-II blew tf up? Did she or Moxxi or Ellie have connections that allowed them to get the ship made for cheap or free? Why did they decide to make the ship out in the open when they knew about the rising CoV threat?? Was the ship stolen? Did the Crimson Raiders just kill a bunch of people to get their hands on it? I doubt it, but this shit isn't explained! So yeah when I write theories like 'Hm well maybe this ship was planted here by the Watcher' its not because I'm driven insane by the Eridians it is because we literally have no other reason to go 'maybe not' and with what little information we do get during the game, it could be fuckin possible!!!

Lilith apparently knew more than she was letting on, she was contacted personally by the Watcher during the end of TPS (brick specially had to ASK what the Watcher said to Lilith), so yeah fuck it the ship and everything that wasn't explicitly explained was given to Lilith by the Watcher to help her in her quest for whatever the Big One is in bl4. Bc you KNOW that Bl3 was just the lead up to get the Destroyer to slip out of its chains thru Tyreen's meddling (literally in nyriads log right before the final boss and its not like ty absorbed an entire planet sized monster and was the size of, like, a shortish tree so you know the Destroyer is still in there as it's further confirmed by Scourge when he says shit like you don't even know what you just did blah blah shut up loser- the only thing pointing to the Destroyer ACTUALLY being dead is that the Vault (????) of the Destroyer (???????????????) opened after Tyreen died but then we can make the Vault of the Architects argument that maybe it considered her part of the Destroyer and her dying confused the Vault into opened, iunno. I don't even know why that Vault was there in the first place wtf was its purpose I thought the Vault of the Destroyer was either the other Pandora one (emergency human feeding port to a monster that doesn't need sustenance) or literally Pandora itself in which case killing Tyreen should have destroyed the whole planet by opening it soooooo I guess that Vault exists to circumvent that extremely specific problem only the Eridians would have guessed could happen idk) and to set the Guardians up as villains cuz fuck them that's why (>:( please gearbox don't, make the Eridians the bad guys if someone has to be evil pretty please the Guardians aren't the bad guys they are literally gaining sentience right now give them a chance they gotta figure themselves out and the Eridians fit the whole 'corporations exploiting their workers' vibe with the Guardians being forced to work even after the Eridians are gone so don't let those parallels slip away with shortsighted storytelling) but then it hurts even worse cuz the story could've been so much simpler and just... Sweeter and better than what we got if that's all they had to do was set those two things up. Bro I hate how every time I go to ask questions abt the game it leads me back here. Because it's true!! And it hurts I just wanna sit down with the lore manager of the game and ask them all these questions because I'm genuinely curious, but I'm afraid of the answers or non-answers I'll get. Again, I get the whole 'things have to happen for plot, not everything should be questioned, give the writers some slack to write a story' argument but when EVERYTHING falls under that category and the story didn't even end up being that great, it gets really frustrating because HONESTLY? if we had gotten good lore and explanations to things and actual world building and details and all that? I wouldn't have minded the main story so much. But unfortunately we got neither good lore (I wanna tell Nyriad she was lied to very badly because it's either the Eridians are evil and liars about a lot, or nobody thought twice the implications of giving the Destroyer a feeding port that explicitly calls humans to it) nor good main story (you know.) and it just. Is annoying. That's all.

Oh Yeah I mentioned a Sprinkle of Final Fantasy and KH but I haven’t talked about that Aspect of my Canon At all have I? Well truth be told it’s cause I’m focusing on getting the more Basic Aspects of my Oc’s Before I get into that but Guess who made this Baby on a Whim!

So The Isle of Light was Originally the Black Forest A Place of Freedom and Expression for all who lead lives who Needed to hide Such and Some Such was The Coven of the Black Forest made up of 3 sisters (not biologically also there was a 4th) they all found comfort and love with each other one being the Princess of the Kingdom nearby (The 4th and Littlest one) She had a fiancé who was Mad with a Lust for power and Control over things he Didn’t need power and control over He Treated the Littlest one Cruelly when the other 3 Decided enough was enough when he did...SOMETHING to Part of the Forest so Horrible it turned Dead and Cruel (Subtle Subtle Hint Hint Wink) When all 3 Of them saw the Ruin They went so mad they turned to Darkness and fought him and all his Manmade monstrosities there when the Princess Arrived there was so much Dark energy everywhere it was Bad like Real Bad So with her friends now monsters she Fought them with a heavy heart her heart broke so much she fell afterwards immediately Unintentionally Sending her Kingdom to somewhere nobody knows where she is though...That’s an even bigger question BUT the story would live on as a Weilder of the key blade who slayed 3 evil witches...(Oh yeah did I mention Crowley knows And that’s Why He Let the Girls Attend because he thought they might be the Black Forest Coven Reincarnated And the Prophecy that when they Awakened the “Keys to their Hearts once more” They’d Free The Princess From her Mirror Prison Oh Yeah also the princess DID Die But her Reincarnation Goes inside a Mirror and is trapped there when she turns 17 and Doesn’t leave until she dIES ALSO ITS HIS OLDEST DAUGHTER THIS TIME ALSO YES HE HAS 2 DAUGHTERS...Okay lemme just calm down..Also yeah she thought of the Princess System) but After a Wish got safe haven for all Keyblade Weilders (I have KH Oc’s other then these don’t ask Longer story they live and basically founded Fortana Haven) I guess the Isle of Light Rose from the Shadow Realm to be just that oh yeah also the Isle of light is literally that kingdom if ya didn’t know

Okay this Place Basically a Modern Fairytale Everything is so Rustic~ but they Have Cafe’s and Stuff~ They’re still very much in Development as a City..or town..or whatever Boss of everything Locket Clover (An OG KH OC) Runs Everything Wonderfully she welcomes everything with open arms and If you wanna run a shop or want a Building for a particular Thing or Activity she’s Pretty open to the idea unless it’s Incredibly Dumb But she will make you get The Wood and Supplies and The Bricks and the Brick Stick Sauce or whatever it’s called she might get give you help constructing but dang is she a firm believer in “DIY” but I like how she’s Determined to Have a Good Balance between Industrial and Rural In fact there is a Mall (God knows how it got there) And that’s pretty much all there is for your Juicy Capitalism Fix She Runs “Hope Stir” Workshop according to Her boyfriend Ephmer It was always Called a workshop but for the longest time she did EVERYTHING Subtle Farmwork And Animal Husbandry ACTUAL Workshop things all cause she wanted to help every Weilder she knew out and made sure they had a place for food and such She is a bit of a Moneyholic but when you’ve been doing what she’s been doing I bet you’d be too overall While it doesn’t have much History yet Fortana Haven (4-Tana is how you say it btw) Is truly well a Haven

The...Crown of the Isle of Light Before We came to the Isle for the first time Apparently Everyone In Fortana thought it was Haunted! Which..Fair enough Before we Placed the Princess Medals (Okay QUICK SUMMARY OF THIS BIT Okay so in the KH Mobile game there’s Medals and I wanted them to be in my story basically They’re Memories formed into powers when all my Oc’s Met the Princess’s Of Heart They Each got a Medal Representing them and then the Medals Restored the Castle I left out some details but basically that’s it) This Castle is the BOMB There’s Cool Pretty Princess Room’s And a Bedroom JUST FOR SLUMBER PARTIES!! And it’s just a good Place to Vibe and Hang out with your friends (I’m sorry I’m about to Lore Dumb all over this place) The Princess’s Fiancé Made a Crown for her before she could put it on he put some of his Subconscious in it poor Eden When she wanted to get stronger for Malleus (Malleus is her adoptive big brother and she was upset cause she felt she wasn’t good enough ran away to get power and found the crown) It really did almost completely overtake her I shudder thinking about it “Kachow”...Ew (The fiancé said that a lot ok) a lotta bad stuff happened here but as selfish as this may sound I feel like I earned my spot here and I wanna keep sharing it with my friends

So Much Happened here as well probably Tragedy I can’t comprehend there is a few good places about this place though Diane likes to Scavange around Here for Interesting Debris Eden doesn’t like the Air around here but she says she finds Interesting Jewels here and Latte says the same thing so there is good to be found here We all come here every so often to try to help..Anything grow but they don’t call this deadland for nothing but still ya can’t give up hope! I wanna grow some beautiful Lillies here one day! Also hey! Also pretty cool name (Matter-RI-a is how you say it btw) All the sadness that happened here it actually did make the land rich in Metal if nothing else there’s even a whole Cavern we found in the mountains...it almost killed us but we found it

She does NOT let a lotta people at once though Heck she doesn’t like Skye that much from what I can tell but she makes an Exception for ~friends~ So...BE NICE TO OUR CUTE MITELLA I’m glad we have a Convient Place for Blitzball practice and also Swimming around with pretty Mermaid Tails (New Nix Mermaid Action Fashion Doll only 25.99! Get it for your Child or they’ll cry!! Also a 5 dollar Boy doll take his Shirt off! That’s it!) Hyde Mi And Skye are kinda an Iconic Trio Mi Also Teaches how to swim with a mermaid tail better for the Weilders who wanna go to Atlantica Hey Mermaids gotta eat so get a Swim Lesson! Bianco Nero Forest

Well tbh I have the least to say because it’s Appeal is simple ADVENTURE AND MYSTERY! Lots can happen in Bianco Nero it’s Basically the Base foundation of the whole Isle! Presumably cause it’s the Black Forest or was at least though it can be dangerous it’s the only place heartless are know to appear in the whole isle (So where you’ll grind In the Video Game that’ll definitely happen :Says the girl who can’t commit to a single comic) They drop all sortsa cool stuff! Heck you can FIND Cool stuff just...Around so..Yeah!!

Fear coursed through you as you ran through the woods. Bare branches scratched at your clothes and skin leaving welts in their wake. No matter how fast you run, you never once looked back. For if you did, you were afraid to see the monster that wanted you dead drew closer.

You never believed a night out with friends would turn out as it did tonight. Images of blood and people being bitten flashed through your mind as you ran. How you managed to escape as you had, you'd never know how. Besides the thought of dying tonight at the hands of a creature you believed only existed in lore, you hoped that once you reached the other side of the woods that you'd be safe.

Moving and living in Mystic Falls had been the fresh start your family needed. While you had your doubts about moving across the country to a small town in Virginia, it began to grow on you. You had made friends quickly and before you knew it, you were being invited to places to spare the boredom you felt living in a small town.

One of those nights just happened to be tonight. While your parents took off to Richmond for a night out to themselves, you went out with your friends for a party out in the woods. Nights like this were becoming routine for you and you actually enjoyed them when they happened.

It started out as any normal night. Drinks were being passed around, music blared from a set of speakers someone had managed to set up, and even several fire pits were going to keep everyone warm. There was nothing that would even make you begin to suspect something was wrong. Even the conversations were normal as always.

"Think Mikaelson will show up?" Your friend Gabby asked as she nudged your arm.

You looked down at your still full cup, trying to hide the small smile that wanted to form. "I doubt it." You said as you looked over at her. "He hardly comes to these things." You shrug your shoulders.

"Ah, so I'm definitely not the only one that noticed he likes to skip the fun parties." Your friend Alice chimed in. "Yet he'll attend anything you invite him to."

"He's a friend." You said with a shake of your head, not wanting the attention on you anymore. "I actually invited him, but he's got a family thing going on that they all needed to be there for."

You had met the whole Mikaelson family a month into your stay. You had been out with the girls at the grille when it had been used as a party space. They had come in late and it wasn't hard to see how the others had stopped and looked at them. Something you were all to familiar with the first few days there.

Of course while it seemed like a majority of them either kept to themselves or stayed with a particular group of people, there was one that Mikaelson that managed to immerse himself in the crowd. At least that was until Kol Mikaelson had met you.

The two of you had easily fallen into conversation. There was something about him that seemed so inviting, despite the warning looks you had received from a few of the other people there. You two had been talking well up until closing when his older brother had to interrupt the two of you reminding him it was time to leave. But since then, you two had been close friends.

"Whatever." Alice said as she drank the rest of the beer in her cup before reaching out for yours. You handed it over easily since it was mostly for show, before she drank the rest of it. "I'm going to get another drink and find a more interesting conversation than your denial."

Alice barely had time to walk a few feet away before the screams started and chaos began.

It seemed like in a blink of an eye, things had gone from everyone having fun to blood and bodies falling here and there as several other people began attacking everyone. Instinct kicked in and you began running with Alice and Gabby following you. At least they had been for the most part. The sounds of their screams filled the air moments later, letting you know that something happened to them.

You were too afraid to look back. You knew that all that mattered was getting away. While the thought of death filled your head, you hoped that the light in all the darkness of your thoughts would be enough to keep you alive.

As you run, you weren't even sure that you were going the right way. You only been to the Mikaelson's twice and even then it wasn't like you got a proper tour of the place to know what the back of the property looked like.

Hope was the only thing you could hold onto in that moment. Hope that even though you might be going in the wrong direction, that there would be something to run to. Anything to save you from what was currently chasing after you.

All the hope you held onto died the moment someone grabbed a hold of you from behind. As much as you tried to fight, nothing seemed to work. The dark chuckle coming from the creature that held you caused a shiver to run through you. A scream of pain passed your lips as you felt as teeth tore into your neck.

It was in that moment that you begun realizing your life was coming to an end. Your mind fed into the darker thoughts that had began to form the moment you had began running. You were being killed by a creature you believed was never real in the first place. A part of you would have laughed at the situation had been any other time.

Your pain continued for a moment longer before you felt the vampire being forcefully pulled away from you, causing you to stumble slightly. Against your better judgement, you turned to see what had happened. As you did, you found Kol Mikaelson standing there with his arm shoved in the vampire's chest.

You weren't sure what scares you more, the fact that you had almost died by the hands of a vampire or seeing Kol standing there as if what he was doing was normal. With wide eyes, you took several shaky steps back before reaching a tree, stopping your movement. You watched as Kol pulled his arm out, with a heart in his hand, as the body hit the ground.

It was as he turned towards you that you noticed how dark his eyes were along with the fangs he bared before it quickly vanished as he looked at you. He dropped the heart quickly and took a step towards you.

A whimper left your lips as he did, causing him to stop in his tracks. "I promise I'm not going to hurt you, Y/N/N."

You shake your head, not sure if you believe him. Not after what you had witnessed. "You- he." You took a shuddering breath as you watched as worry filled his eyes. "You are like them."

The small chuckle that passed Kol's lips should have frightened you. But for some reason, it had brought you a small resemblance of comfort. "It's more like the other way around." He took a few more careful steps towards you. "That's a nasty bite, darling. No doubt the adrenaline you are feeling is what is keeping you on your feet right now. If you let me, I'll help you get cleaned up and I'd be happy to explain everything."

You looked down at yourself at that moment. Blood covered your neck and stained the fabric of your shirt and jacket. You brought your shaky hand up to your neck, wincing at even the slightest pressure before pulling it away and looked at the blood that covered your hands. The sight of the blood along with the decrease of adrenaline, you swayed on your feet about to collapse.

"I've got you." Kol said as he caught you just as you did. He bit into his wrist and held it up to your lips. You shake your head denying his wrist. He sighed softly. "I know right now is a bit chaotic, but you need to drink some of my blood. I promise I will explain everything once you've healed."

You eyed him for a moment before you latched your lips onto his wrist and drank his blood. While your head was spinning from what you've been through, you still trusted Kol to an extent. He saved you from being killed tonight. If he was willing to heal you, you doubt he wanted to harm you.

As you drink the blood, as crazy as it sounded to your own mind while doing it, you started to feel better. The haziness that came with your blood loss was gone. The pain that came from your neck slowly subsided before it was gone altogether.

"There we go." Kol said as he pulled his wrist away from your mouth and stood you up on your own.

You took a step back as your hands went straight for your neck. The wound that you were sure had been there earlier was now gone. The only evidence of it happening was the drying blood that covered you. "How?" You asked as you looked back at Kol.

"That's actually a rather long story." He said as he slowly lifted his hand up and wiped the bit of blood that was still on your lips. "One I can tell once you feel safe inside."

You shake your head slightly. "How did you know I was here? That I needed help?" Your lips trembled slightly as you tried to hold yourself together. You may have been healed from all physical injuries but your mind was going crazy.

"I heard you scream." He admitted. "It didn't take me long to find you after that."

You were running in the right direction. He had been able to hear you scream the moment you had been hurt. A small sigh of relief passed your lips as you moved to hug Kol. The moment you had your arms wrapped around him, the tears you so desperately tried to keep at bay finally spilled.

He quickly wrapped his arms around you, keeping you close. "You're safe, I promise." He said as he kissed the top of your head.

Despite knowing that Kol could easily be a monster similar to the one that tried killing you, you did feel safe with him. Your plan of going to him for help had worked. Even if you never reached him, he came and helped you. There was no reason to be afraid of him.

"How about we get you inside and cleaned up?" He asked as he pulled back slightly. He brought a thumb up and wiped the tears that were still falling from your eyes.

You simply nodded your head and moved with Kol in the direction he was walking. You kept your face resting on his chest in some way. You didn't want to look around and see the body that lay on the ground. You didn't want to see the reminder that you had almost died if it hadn't been for Kol.

"How is she?" Rebekah asked the moment Kol walked into the house with you. While you had spent a lot of time with Kol, you had gotten to spend a lot of time with his siblings as well. Rebekah happened to be one of the other siblings you had become friends with.

"As can be expected." He still kept you close as he walked passed Rebekah and towards one of the guest rooms down stairs. "Could you please go into that oversized closet of yours and pull something out for her?"

"Of course." Rebekah said with a nod before heading up the stairs.

Once you were in the comfort of the room, Kol's hold on you loosened. He moved the hair out of your face, causing you to bring your attention up to him.

"There is a bathroom right through there." He tilted his head towards the opened door in the room. "Get yourself cleaned up and I'll be here to answer whatever questions you have."

You hesitated for a moment before stepping away and heading towards the bathroom. Looking over your shoulder you watched as Kol gave you a small smile before watching as you closed the door.

It wasn't long after that you were cleaned from all of the blood you had been wearing. The warm spray of the water was enough to keep you in there longer with your thoughts. You were still trying to wrap your head around everything that happened.

Kol was...something. Your mind still refused to acknowledge that there were vampires in the world. That this must have all been some weird dream that you were having. But no matter how many times you tried pinching yourself to wake up, this had all been real.

As you stepped out of the shower, you found a neat pile of clothes sitting on the counter. You hadn't even heard Rebekah drop them off. It only added to the list of things you were unsure about. You quickly dressed, hoping that the faster you got answers, the faster you could go home and try to forget about what you've seen.

It was as you opened the bathroom doors that you could easily hear several people talking just outside the door. None of the voices you heard had been unknown to you. You could tell the Mikaelsons had been arguing over something.

"I should have been out there with her instead of here listening as you two fought over how to handle the damned situation." You heard Kol say as you stepped closer to the slightly opened door.

"We had no idea what they would have wanted." Elijah's voice had been calm compared to Kol's.

"The whole point had been to taken them out before they even attempted to do anything. That plan failed miserably." Kol's voice filled the room once more.

You leaned in closer, listening. From the amount of space in the open door, you could see Rebekah take a step closer to Kol. "I understand why you are angry, Kol." She said, placing her hand on her brother's shoulder. "But Y/N is safe. You got to her before she was killed. We killed the others that were out there. We handled it without any casualties that we care about."

Kol shook his head. "And what am I to tell her about her friends?"

"You could always compel her." You didn't have to see Klaus to know he had shrugged his shoulders at the suggestion. "Toss in a bit of survivor's guilt over an animal attack in the woods and call it a night."

"Are you mad?" You watched as Rebekah turned towards Klaus, a glare could easily be seen on her face. "Was it not just yesterday that we had discussed enlightening Y/N about the world she lives in? Now you want to compel her to forget the whole thing happened. This will be a way to keep her in the loop as we wanted."

"Rebekah is right." Kol said as he crossed his arms over his chest. "While we have discussed this, it will ultimately be up to Y/N if she wants to be compelled or not. As much as it would be easier to have her around without needing to be careful of what we say or do around her while she is here, I would never think to force this on her."

Hearing what you had made your head spin. There was still so much you needed explained about tonight, but the one thing that has stuck out like a sore thumb was the fact that it was suggested you be made to forget what happened tonight. That itself scared you more.

You could eventually get used to the idea that the world held supernatural creatures in it. You could handle that you would have died if it hadn’t been for Kol. But the one thing you wouldn’t be able to handle was have your mind messed with, even if you couldn’t remember that it happened.

“I’d like to not be compelled.” You said as you pulled the bedroom door opened. “If me knowing makes things easier and so that I won't be caught off guard like I was tonight, I don’t want to forget it.”

The others turned towards you. Kol had a small smile on his face at your words. While they hoped that you would be accepting of what they wanted to tell you, tonight they had expected you to run for the hills after what had happened.

“Are you sure?” Kol asked as he walked over to you. “You haven’t even heard the full story yet.”

An actual chuckle passed your lips. “I doubt you telling me everything is going to make me run.” You were being honest. “I trusted you enough to heal me and to come back here with you. If I didn’t completely trust that I would be safe with you and your family, I would have taken my chances out there in the woods.”

Rebekah laughed as she came over to join you two. “Told you she’d be okay.”

You were as okay as you could be in that moment. Kol gave you one more smile before taking a hold of your hand and leading you to the couch not far from you. As you sat down, he still kept a hold of your hand.

“My family and I are the original vampires.” He began. “Minus Klaus who happens to be our half brother and currently a hybrid. We’ve been this way for a thousand years.”

As Kol continued to tell their story, you never once thought of running. The rest of the siblings added in details that Kol couldn’t provide. You had actually threw a couch pillow at Klaus from when the siblings mentioned Kol being daggered. The siblings laughed at that.

By the end of it, you had known the good and the bad. You learned that you wouldn’t turn as long as you were safe for the next 24 hours as the blood left your system. Kol made the promise that he would be there ensuring your safety. At least that was until the others chimed in that they would take turns on ensuring nothing happened to you.

It wasn’t done out of obligation. They wanted to do it because someday in the future, when you thought it was right, you’d become apart of their family. Where you would continue to be protected, always and forever.

hunty movie 1

sooo ruth and i watched the first hxh movie holla

me as soon as we’re done w/the yorknew arc: OH FUCKY ITS ANIME MOVIE TIME

i love anime movies. theyre so often Entertaining As Hell, and also Not Very Good. its a very fun intersection

overall this movie slots pretty easily into that category. it was a good time but nothing revolutionary. which is ok! and that makes sense bc its not canon apparently

this movie was basically the ‘killua and kurapika have Trauma(tm)’ movie lmao

we open w/killua having a trauma dream abt illumi, rehashing the stuff we saw in the hunter exam arc....we see this a few more times in the movie, and it really drives home how killua is still rlly scared of illumi and kinda just goes into a dissociative trauma state whenever illumi is around (even fake doll illumi or dream illumi, in this movie). poor kid :( :(

regrettably tho ruth and i agree that illumis outfit in this movie was pretty sexy

ok that whole beginning part where kurapikas eyes get stolen happens SO fast hvbfhdjshfsk its like ok guess thats the status quo for this movie!

jesus poor kurapika. they cant catch a fuckgin break huh

also that kid was totally the kid that was alluded to by kurapika at the end of the yorknew arc...so i guess that was included in the anime as a setup for this movie?

also apparently that stuff was based off of a short story thing the author did a while ago which is p cool

it kinda cracks me up how hostile killua is to retz like vhbhskhdfbaj i get that its bc of Trauma and his fear of betrayal/betraying but it also reads as killua being a Jealous Gay which is kinda hilarious

ruth and i when hisoka shows up: [prolonged annoyed groaning and dismayed yelling]

hisoka literally just shows up to sow chaos and throw around information to stir shit up huh

of COURSE the villain is the former 4th spider thats like. easy choice lmao

it might just be the fansubs but i feel like there were strong implications that hisoka and 4th spider guy fucked bhjdfashfdjnakn

the most unbelievable thing abt this whole thing is that hisoka didnt kill that doll guy lmao

ohhh shit its uvo

OHHH SHIT NOBUNGA AND MACHI....its so bad but i really like the troupe members and when they show up im like !!!!!!!

machi is so cooooool

aughhhh its like....i feel bad for nobunga for having to face down uvo like this....and THEN when pakunoda shows up too :( and nobunga tells her doll ‘rest in peace now’ or something when he cuts her down....oof. but also like theyre evil murderers so im!?! conflicted?!?!

also the shadow beast guys that uvo killed showing up and then proceeding to do LITERALLY NOTHING was kinda hilarious

and damn so technically the troupe is on the same side as the main crew, what with all of them wanting to wreck omokages shit

also omokage looks like sephiroth lmaoooo

ill be honest i barely know what sephiroth looks like but ruth said this and i felt in my bones that its true

ok i gotta talk abt the kurapika backstory stuff bc OUUGHGHGHGHGH my fucking UWUS BITCH!!!!

seeing a bunch of kurta was sad....and seeing baby-er kurapika OUGH and also pairo is sooo cute and him and kurapikas friendship is so pure

kurapika is so different :( theyre like, so much more innocent and excitable....thats so damn sad bro wtf

pairo pulling some slick moves swapping that little potion thing - all while using his blindness as a cover - was so good...no wonder he and kurapika get along so well

also gotta say its even more brutal that one of the main reasons kurapika didnt get Big Murdered w/the rest of the kurta is bc pairo pulled this stunt - if he hadnt, kurapika wouldve failed the test and never would have left

also kurapika saying theyre gonna find someone who can help w/pairos eyes ;_; the similarities w/leorios backstory/motivation makes me die

and seriously im still caught up at how innocent and pure kp is oooof ough

tho still defs the kurapika we know....theyve seemingly always had a temper, what with the reaction to the dudes in the market

like, kurapika did NOT hold back...even after finding out that they were just part of the test! tho i do get it bc they insulted pairo...kurapika’s love for their friends/stalwart need to defend their friends is clearly a big thing

also the market people’s reaction to seeing kp’s red eyes is rlly interesting to me...are the kurta like, known to anybody? or are they more of a vaguely talked-about group that like, ‘probably exists’? or is it that people know abt them but not the red eyes thing? it seems like these people, if any, would know, bc this market is seemingly a day’s travel from where the kurta live....i want more kurta lore bro!!

i big love pairo helping kurapika cheat like that....such an interesting twist, and makes it obvious that theirs is a friendship of equals

anyways i loved that flashback stuff and it just drives home how absolutely fucked up and horribly sad kurapikas whole existence is, especially in this movie w/pairo’s doll being used against them

n e ways back to the non flashback stuff

i love that gon’s super nose returned for this movie omg

im just auhghghghgh gon and killua know each other so well uwu....

aaaand illumi (well, doll illumi) is back to fuck shit up for poor killua

ugh it still gets me how clearly terrified of illumi killua is...we dont really see him act like this any other time :( and the fact that doll-illumi was able to scare killua enough to get him to run away and leave gon behind (albeit briefly) was oof

gon jumping in front of killua and getting his eyes stolen instead....baby boyyyy oughhh

also can i just say thank fuck they didnt replace illumis eyes w/gons bc THAT wouldve been some serious nightmare fuel lmao

cant believe killua then ran away again and walked emo-ly on the train tracks

and THEN he saw a train coming and was like oh well :( guess ill die :/ JESUS KID

but gon w/his Big Sniff Powers comes to the rescue!!

it was so cute how gon told killua that killua didnt run and abandon him - they were working together to fight :’) gon understands killua so well

i love how the squad then squads up to fight omokage...with half of them being blind lmao

and in the half that isnt blind is leorio, who STILL doesnt know nen, and literally brings a knife to a nen fight

i totally saw the whole ‘retz is a doll and her older brother is omokage, and retz actually died a while ago’ thing coming lol but still, not bad

all omokage does is talk abt the beauty of his dolls or w/e like ENOUGH bro

kurapika fighting pairo and killua fighting illumi (AGAIN) was all so fucked up they shouldve switched opponents for less trauma oof

and poor leorio is literally no help vhhvdijfhjbashkj he just gets throw around this whole time

kurapikas fight against pairo was sad bc it was such a fucked up situation...kp did gr8 tho, i liked them saying that this isnt the real pairo, cause pairo would never say/do these things. still and extremely sucky situation to be in!

meanwhile its the gon and killua vs doll-illumi rematch...and this illumi is like, a version of illumi drawn from killuas mind/heart (or something idk, it was kinda glossed over which i understand), which means that hes extra scary and focused on telling killua how much hes just a mindless killing machine who cant have friends

but luckily we have gon here to help snap killua out of his trauma haze, which certaintly wasnt the case at the hunter exam - so it was kinda nice to see how things went w/gon around :’) they work so well together oughhhhh....and they love each other so much broo gay preteen love real

hisoka just fuckgin materializing in the house place to help sow more chaos....unbelievable

(EVEN THO HE SAID HE DIDNT WANT TO KILL ANY MORE...but theres exceptions when it comes to saving your friend’s souls and whatnot) :( :( AUGHHH

we also see some dude w/long hair and a hat who ive never seen before but ruth went OHHH ITS SCYTHE GUY!!! so i guess hes gonna b important?? lol

and then we saw chrollo....still in the same place the squad left him vbhajfdjkahsbfkdjabhsukfdj CAN HE NOT GET DOWN FROM THERE W/OUT NEN OR AN AIRSHIP??? THATS SO FUCKING FUNNYYYYYY ARE YOU KIDDING ME

general thots:

so this was very much an Anime Movie, in that they cant like, advance to plot or develop the characters much, bc its a movie. and this one is non canon

it was enjoyable but i do feel like it was much more typical shounen then hxh usually is...like, i feel like this was made by the same people who make like, the naruto movies or w/e, and w/the same sort of approach/attitude

this isnt necessarily bad - i LIKE shounen for a reason - but it was a bit noticeable bc it wasnt quite as smart as hxh is usually, and it rehashed a lot of stuff weve already seen in this show itself

but still i think it did a good job w/what it had, and it had some good angst, and everyone was very gay which is good

the art style was SLIGHTLY wack but it wasnt as bad as i thought itd be

overall a fun time like most anime movies. didnt reinvent the wheel but i had a good time. im excited for the greed island arc, and im also disproportionately excited to watch the hxh musical bc that is a thing that exists and i MUST see it asap bc that sounds like the kind of hilarious wackiness that appeals to me specifically

so thats it...later!
